Beaches
Psili Ammos Beach is a family-friendly destination located in the southern part of Thassos. It offers a mix of fine yellow sand, pine trees along the coastline, and shallow emerald-green waters, making it great for kids. The beach provides both comfort and captivating vibes with its cozy dunes and tamarisk thickets.
Beautiful beach with fine sand and clear water. Sunbeds range from €30 to €50 with food and drink included. If you’re planning to visit this beach, make sure to come early as it gets very crowded. There is plenty of parking space above the beach.
Milos — Google review
One of the best beaches I’ve been to in years. Staff were great and eager to help. Family friendly with shallow water stretching for good 100ft/30m. It was clean and calm at the time we visited. The parking is across the street, not organized, first come first serve basis (dirt and rocks, not paved). As long as you are not blocking the road, you won’t be bothered.
Srdjan B — Google review
The beach is absolutely amazing – very peaceful and relaxing, with soft fine sand that feels wonderful under your feet. The water is crystal clear and full of colorful fish, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. A true hidden gem and definitely a must-visit spot when you’re in Thassos!
Anna D — Google review
Sure! Here’s a polished and enthusiastic review you can use for Psili Ammos Beach in Thassos: ⸻ We recently visited Psili Ammos Beach with a big group of friends, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the crystal-clear water, the vibrant yet relaxed beach vibe, and the overall organization of the place. The frappes and smoothies, also the fruit salad were refreshing and delicious, perfect for cooling down under the Greek sun. The food was fantastic, with a variety of choices that pleased everyone in our group. What stood out the most was the excellent service - friendly, fast, and always with a smile. The staff truly made our experience even more enjoyable. The beach itself is one of the most beautiful on the island - fine sand, turquoise waters, and great energy. If you want to chill, Psili Ammos strikes the perfect balance. If we had to point out one downside, it would be the wasps during dinner - a bit annoying, but honestly, it didn’t spoil the overall experience. Everything else was so good that it’s easy to overlook. Highly recommended - Psili Ammos is definitely one of the top beaches in Thassos, and we’re already planning to come back!
Ral S — Google review
Sandy and shallow beach, has space for your own sunbeds but beach bars are also okay. After 18h the there is no crowd but the sun sets around 19:30. Good for taking pictures west of beach on the rocks.
Nikola P — Google review
Beautiful and clean water. Soft sand. Some rocks here and there but mostly soft golden sand. The sun-beds we stayed on had a minimum consumption of 50€/2 beds. It gets quite crowded throughout the day but in the morning it was ok.
Ionela M — Google review

Potos Beach

Beach
Potos Beach is a standard Greek beach located about 50m from the port. It offers organized water sports and has a clean shoreline with some areas of small rocks near the sea. The beach gradually transitions from shallow to deep waters, making it suitable for both kids and adults. While the seafloor is sandy, there are sunbeds available for rent at various bars and tavernas along the beach. Visitors can enjoy drinks and food at affordable prices while lounging on the beach.
The beach itself is not the best actually, but I liked it. What I wanted to share is the cruises. I went to one this morning and it was the best experience. The staff were so nice - they gave me the best alcohol and food. The places we visited were incredible. There are a lot of stops where we were swimming. Totally recommending.
Даниел В — Google review
Potos Beach is a lovely spot with a mix of sunbed areas and free space to lay your towel. The sea is calm and great for swimming, and there are a few bars nearby if you want a drink or snack. Water sports are also available if you're feeling active. The beach has a relaxed vibe and is mostly visited by families — perfect for a peaceful day by the sea.
Andrijana A — Google review
Potos is amazing. It is the ultimate touristic place. There are hundreds of Slavic countries and a few Greeks. The place is full of tourists' acommodation, supermarkets, bars, coffee shops, restaurants, entertaining activities, medical centre and the marvelous beach. The beach is perfect for little kids and families. The bars are located on the beach, so the atmospere is wonderful in the evening. The prices in most places are expensive but this is a common problem in most Greek islands.
Ellh C — Google review
We liked Potos very much here on this island. It is a great place central located to everywhere. You will find a lot of restaurants, shops, markets and bars here during your stay. So when you don't come with a car you will find everything you need here. You can visit the neighbourhood as well via walk. Bty we didnt swim in this beach but at night we walked around to enjoy the view or have drinks or dinner.
Sibel D — Google review
Potos is a nice little village, where you can meet a lots of nice people. Beautiful place with clean, long beach and delicious food.
Stefan M — Google review
Depending on where you are setup on the beach is how much crowd there is. The sun beds are 15€ for two and you can order drinks for that amount. The water is clear, the beginning is pebbles with algae but then is sandy and the water is shallow a long way.
Makedonka V — Google review
Very crowded beach with lot of kids. Sea and sand is great. There is planty of sunbeds and great bars. Not so expensive.
Miloš D — Google review
The water gradually goes from shallow to deep which makes it great for both kids and adults. The seafloor is sandy, however, the whole beach has sunbeds so if you prefer your own umbrella, chairs, etc. you have to go past all the beach bars. On that part of the beach, there is still sand, but there are rocks in the sea.

Bodies of Water
Giola Lagoon is a stunning natural pool nestled within rocky seaside cliffs on the remote island of Thassos. Accessible by a dirt road or hike, this unique monument of nature offers a serene and beautiful experience. Despite being full of sea urchins, the lagoon's still waters and clear ambiance make it a must-see destination on the island. Visitors can expect to encounter goat herds in the area, adding to the overall charm of the experience.
Amazing! I recommend coming with sneakers or good shoes because the terrain is a bit difficult to climb. We were there about 9:35 and it was empty but it got more crowded soon. The water is amazing and even if you’re not so good at swimming, this pool is so salty and it keeps you floating. Definitely recommend swimming in it, a unique experience!
Amina P — Google review
It is worth coming here for a couple of hours- for some jumping and snorkeling near by is simply beautiful. Even though it was full of people there was room for everyone. Also jumping can be down at different heights so you can overcome your fears and keep developing 🚀
Moni Z — Google review
A great spot for beautiful photos. We visited in the second half of September. Parking near the lagoon costs 4 euros, but you can park for free a little earlier. It's still an 8-minute walk down. The descent is not easy for those 60+. There are plenty of smooth rocks there, perfect for sunbathing.
Elenchik K — Google review
Amazing natural pool with a breathtaking view. It is easy to get in the lagoon. It is a bit difficult to get out, but with a little help it is managable. Not many tourists get inside which is good because it keeps the water clean. Don't bring umbrellas and sea-chairs because there is no place to put them. The area is rocky. Nobody stays for long time because it isn't a beach. I take a star down because THERE is a road to get close to the lagoon but the "bussinessman" who bought the area have closed the road only to get through their taverns and their coffee shops to spend your money. So you have to walk down a 20-minute road. There are two options. Follow the yellow sign "Giola" or you can follow the blue sign "Giola vibes". Both ways get you to the lagoon. You just pass through the tavern or the coffee shop. Don't park in the parking area because it is not free. You can park for free anywhere among the olive trees. TIP from a local: Don't park on the cement street because the police checks the area every 2 hours and gets the car plates if you have parked on the cement street.
Ellh C — Google review
I recommend going at a time when there aren't many people around and the weather isn't too hot. It's worth seeing, and swimming there is a wonderful experience, but only under the conditions I mentioned.
Can E — Google review
The lagoon is amazing and the view .. wow But the way to the lagoon is way too far and hard 🤣 make sure you have appropriate shoes for water and also sneakers to arrive there, no sleepers!!
Cristina O — Google review
The visit was wonderful and worth coming. Its very fun for jumping but I give an advice and go there early. The ticket for the parking was 4 euros for 2 hours. But it's a little hard to get there by feet

Unique but dangerous. Jumping in is easy, getting out, not so. Very slippy. We saw numerous people slip on the rocks.

Located on the south coast, Arsanas Beach is a beautiful and secluded spot just below the Monastery of the Archangel Michael and Paradise Beach. Accessible via a slightly rough road suitable for any car, this small beach offers enough parking space and a short steep path leading to it. While there is a bar offering food and drinks, visitors can also bring their own umbrella. The beach itself features stones in the water, making swimming shoes advisable.
So beautiful and calm beach without a bar! It is next to the other beach with taverna. You can't go with a car to this beach. You should walk a little bit. It is not so good for small kids. There are no people until 10-11 AM.
Sofia K — Google review
The beach is really beautiful, not crowded at all, there are like 5 people, the water is so clear, BUT there are many bees, sea urchins and we just went there to take a look at the beach, stayed for 10 minutes and went to the beach right next to this one. I would say it’s worth visiting but maybe it’s not for spending the whole day there.
Teoslava Y — Google review
Extremely beautiful from the point of nature but it was a struggle to swim there as there were many sea hedgehogs all over, one should have proper swimming shoes to enter the sea. It was rocky inside the water. The rode down to the beach was steep and uneven, sandy and a challenging for non SUV cars, there was no shower in the beach and nowhere to throw the garbage, no toilet, no changing rooms…. Two stars for all these inconvenience, one should enjoy this beach by a boat trip just for taking photos of the picturesque scenery.
Ye P — Google review
Lovely place with clean water and a sandy beach!!! I do recommend it. Its a free zone, no sunbeds.
Reneta B — Google review
Arsanas Beach is a real hidden gem. It is quieter than the big tourist spots and has a super chill vibe. The water is really clear, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. There are some rocks on the side where you can see fish and explore a bit underwater. The beach bar is nice too, they have good drinks and snacks, but the prices are a bit high. The beach is pretty small so if you come in high season it can be hard to find a good place to sit. I’d recommend coming early or bringing your own umbrella and chairs. The whole place feels peaceful and natural and it is great if you want to relax without the big crowds.
Möchte A — Google review
Very beautiful beach, maybe the most beautiful scenery on the whole island. We were not that lucky, though, when we almost finished descending the stairs, there were two people, fully naked, enjoying their time and spoiling everyone's else. Not a pleasant thing to see. I don t know if there is known for a nudist beach, but you may take in consideration the fact that you might see disturbing things
Dan C — Google review
The water and view itself are very nice, but the beach is very dirty.
Mathias F — Google review
This beach has a wild vibe to it and it is secluded. That means you need to drive for 5 minutes on a dirt road, any car is fine. Once you get there you will be surprised to find a small tavern and the beach is maintained by the same family. There are many stones in the water and I didn't dare to go in. But as said the view is quite nice.

Tavern George is a fantastic restaurant known for its delicious Musaka and seafood dishes. The food is reminiscent of a homemade Sunday lunch, evoking images of enjoying your grandmother's cooking. The servings are friendly and the overall experience is brilliant. The restaurant also offers baklava as a delightful dessert option. It has gained popularity among visitors who keep coming back for more satisfaction. This family tavern boasts beautiful views and affordable prices, making it an ideal place to dine in Limenaria.
This kind of service and place can definitely impress me! A quiet, friendly atmosphere with a genuinely warm attitude toward every guest. The owner is always smiling and has a great eye for detail—it really shows. We only had five evenings on our trip, and we chose to come here twice! 😇 The food makes you feel like you’re at home 🏠, as if your grandma cooked just for you 🙌. All the kids received a big ice cream from the owner and got special attention, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommended! I’d come back again and again 🍀 Thank you for everything you do with heart ❤️

The food and the service is absolutely brilliant. We came without reservation and we have been seated, the waiters were really nice, the food magnific. The red wine very good, we really enjoyed the quite tavern with really good food. I dare to say it is the best tavern in Thasos. Everyone that is in Thasos should come at least once for this nice experience!

I visited George restaurant with my husband during our vacation, and it was truly one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed with the kindest hospitality. As a starter, we let the waiter recommend a mix of local sauces (such as tzatziki) with fresh baguette, and he prepared the combination for us in the most perfect way. It was simply delicious! For the main course, I had octopus in wine – honestly, it was the best octopus I have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor – absolutely outstanding. My husband ordered fish with dill and enjoyed it just as much, describing it as one of the tastiest dishes he’s had in a long time. To our surprise, we were served a dessert as a complimentary treat from the house – a wonderful and thoughtful gesture. It has been a long time since I experienced such flawless service, exceptional cuisine, and incredibly friendly staff. Everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much – we are delighted to leave this glowing review. This is truly a Greek taverna at its very best!

Ammos Restaurant is an eatery that offers a diverse selection of delectable dishes. With a range of culinary choices available, patrons can indulge in a variety of appetizing options. Additionally, Ammos Restaurant boasts an extensive menu filled with mouthwatering alternatives for diners to savor.
The place is very outdated and the staff there are careless. They just try to rip people off and only care about how to squeeze more money out and they asked us to pay in advance 120 euros for food and sunbeds. The beach guy was a bit better than the others but not much better. It all felt a lot like a scam. Not recommended at all
Mihai B — Google review
AVOID AT ALL COSTS – SCAM TAVERN! An absolute nightmare of an experience. We were charged €115 for ONE FISH – yes, you read that right – and the total bill came to €310 for what was supposed to be a casual meal. No warning, no clear prices shown, no transparency whatsoever. Just a few simple dishes and drinks, and suddenly we were hit with an outrageous bill. The staff acted friendly until it came time to pay, then suddenly everything became awkward and tense. We felt completely taken advantage of as tourists. This place is clearly running a scam on unsuspecting visitors. The food was average at best, absolutely not worth the price, and we left feeling angry, cheated, and deeply disappointed. I wouldn’t go back even if the meal were free. Stay far away from this place – there are plenty of honest, beautiful taverns in the area. This one ruins the entire holiday mood.
Alina C — Google review
In a beautiful beach in Alykes, our experience was unfortunately ruined by this particular beach bar. The sunbeds were overcrowded and in poor condition, while the prices were outrageous (up to €100 spend for one umbrella with two sunbeds). The on-site tavern was awful and overpriced, with tiny portions ranging from €12 to €90, offering no value for money. The staff, although initially seeming friendly, proved to be unreliable, giving misleading information about prices and services. Despite the stunning sea, the overall experience was disappointing — I would not recommend it under any circumstances.
Λάζαρος Σ — Google review
This is the most awful experience I’ve ever had. The staff was extremely rude and we waited for food for more than an hour. The food was bad but not too awful. One of the servers declined service because we asked him to come and take our order which I found absolutely scandalous. The “special salad” is a disaster. And you can’t take your food to the beach. You have to eat on extremely uncomfortable chairs that are even painful to seat on and the place itself is very windy and and not nice. The tables are so close to each other that you can’t seat comfortably. One of the servers (black hair white beard) is the most awful man I have ever met in my entire life. He is slow as a snail and rude. Not worth the visit. The best decision of your life will be to never come here!!!
Ирена С — Google review
We were told that sunbeds are free, pay just the consumption. After they brought the order, they told one of us that we must do 40€ in consummation. We ended up paying 20€ for two sunbeds and un umbrella. After being confronted, he shrugged carelessly. Very unprofessional approach from the staff and the owner, they were quite creepy. Both looked drunk. Also, they sit and watch everyone on their sunbeds, like you’re going to steal something from them. The side tables were dirty from beverages and very little space between sunbeds.
Victoria — Google review
The beach and the water are nice, but not worth the hassle of this place. Everybody is sitting on top of one another, there is no place to move, the sunbeds & umbrellas are broken and the service is a disaster. Don’t get fooled by the “fresh fish” scam. Even better if you don’t eat at all. If you are already on Aliki, have some drinks & avoid food poisoning. We will not be coming back.
Autan33 — Google review
I am sorry to say but it was the worst experience in Greece ever. Don't go there. The tables are dirty, the waiters are without shoes, it's full of mosquitoes and bees and the toilets are awful. Food is rotten and when I pointed out to the owner that the tsatsiki was old he started yelling saying it is is not possible; he didn't even change it for a new one and made us pay for it anyway. Very expensive for poor food and service. Would NEVER go back.
Sarah V — Google review
This place is outrageously disgusting. The service is so poor the lady keeps the money in her bra and when she gave me back my change it was wet. i ordered a bottle of water and she told me to go get it myself. They asked me for the money first so we couldnt escape their scam. All the sunbeds and umbrellas are broken. i sat down on the sunbed and it broke in half. Later i went to the taverna to have lunch at 12pm the waiter then told me to wait until 2pm because the cook wasnt there yet so we couldn’t eat. Then finally when we could they served us uncooked food and there was hair in the food. when asked why there was hair in our food the waiter told us that it was hair from the potato when it clearly was not. My friends had some of the food and felt sick. Also they try and scam people by telling them they can only eat fish but you have to pay additional for the fish. They scammed a family €300 just for fish. Later the woman started sweeping the floor and started sweeping the dirt on my friend and her sunbed (as you can see in the video). This place is just disgusting if u want a good experience definitely do not come to this taverna and dont fall for their scams.

Golden Beach, located near the modern village of Skala Potamia on Thassos island, is a popular two-kilometer stretch of golden sand with well-organized facilities such as bars, restaurants, and hotels. It's the largest beach on the island and attracts many tourists due to its popularity. While it can get crowded, there are plenty of accommodations available in nearby mountain villages for those seeking a quieter experience.
Very long beach, plenty of space, there is something for everyone here, easy to park and walk to the beach from multiple parking areas, vast array of bars restaurants etc, if like the bars quieter, head to the northern end of the beach, if its something a bit louder youre looking for head to the southern end of the beach, where you will also find plenty of small boutique style shops selling all sorts of local delicacies

Long sandy beach, shallow, crystal clear sea. Gets busy but we got to the beach just after 8am and enjoyed some space to ourselves before the crowds arrived. Saying that, it's not packed, plenty of space for everyone. Sunbeds 15€ for a set of 2, with umbrella. Great place to chill, unwind and relax.

It's a beautiful, long beach. It's stunning at sunrise, and there are different businesses at different parts of the beach. There are fees for sunbeds and umbrellas, but they're affordable. We set up our own tent and swam there.

One of the best beaches on Thassos. Plenty of beach bars where you can buy a coffee or a drink and you will get two sun-beds and umbrella for free. Also plenty of spots where you can bring your own accessories. When entering sea it is shallow for a very long time so it is perfect for families with kids.
Rastko T — Google review
Great beach, with a cristal clear water. Perfect for the kids, due to it's shallowness! It is often wavy, and a the kids enjoyed it.
Djordje S — Google review
It was such a pleasure being on golden beach, the sand is so fine and soft that it cannot be described with words, you need to feel it. The beach is huge and it has one of the best views on the island. The water is clear and it is good for non swimmers as it is so shallow. It's not good for snorkeling as there is nothing really to see underwater, only sand and a few fish here and there. This beach is perfect if you want to fully relax and enjoy.

The Sotirelis Olive Oil Museum Est 1915 Panagia Thassos offers a glimpse into one of the oldest industries on the island. With beautiful ancient olive trees scattered across Thassos, this museum showcases the traditional olive oil production process, featuring the only functioning water-powered mill in Greece. Visitors can explore original machinery and learn about olive oil extraction while also having the opportunity to taste and purchase various olive oils, jams, and olives from the on-site shop.
Museum with no entrance fee, where you see the machines used for crushing the olives. They have the old machines that requires no electric power and all still usable (I hope I understood correctly). At the entrance you find olive oil shop, with a variety of sizes and types. They also have body products based on olive oil. I observed that prices are changing. I bought 5 liters for 76€ and 2 days later my mother bought the same kind for 70. So I guess the range is dinamic. The body oil was good quality too. P.S. they have parking.

If you are in to pure QUALITY olive oil. Highly recommend this place. They have been making olive oil since 1915. They also have a large variety of interesting salts.

First visit in August 2025. If you are in to pure QUALITY olive oil and honey. Highly recommend this place. They have been making olive oil since 1915. They also have a large variety of interesting salts, honey, spices, sweets, creams and cosmetics. Also selling some jewellery and cutlery. I recommend this shop

Nice to see the manufacturing process of olive oil old for four generation. You can watch a video approx 6 minutes long on the tv outside the shop. The shop is also very nice with ok prices. You can taste olives before buying.

The staff is great, they explain everything about olive oil in detail. Testers are available, high quality products, I certainly recommend it.

Good olive oil. The one in the picture taste better in my oppinion. Brown olives jar very good quality as well. Acceptable price

I tasted many olive oils from different brands, but from my point of view and taste this was the nicest. All shops are very nice and the sales ladiesare always ready to help the clients. Also the small museum is very nice and with a lot of original machinery. As I was told they produce by themselves the oil, are not a company that collects oil and rebranding the bottles.

Saliara Beach, also known as Marble Beach, is a charming local spot nestled in a rustic setting. The beach is famous for its turquoise waters and pebbled sea bed. It's located about seven kilometers from the island's capital, Limenas, on the northern part of Thassos. This small exotic beach spans only 80 meters but offers a picturesque blend of white sands and marble pebbles against the backdrop of wild pine trees.
Beach very nice and unique. A bit/lot crowded and prices very high compared to the rest of the island. The road is very very difficult but I enjoyed it a lot since I have a Ford Kuga 4x4 and was an amazing experience.
Ionut C — Google review
The beach itself: very beautiful indeed. Beautiful waters and clean, swallow for the first few meters, ideal for families. HOWEVER. To reach the beach you have to carefully drive half an hour through an awful dirt road, after which your car will definitely need a wash and damage check. Shame to the beach bar owners who charge 25€ for a sunbed (as of June 2025) and charging the shower too. Also keep in mind the beach is very crowded in June, I can't image how unbearable it will be in August.
Βασιλεία — Google review
A beautiful combination of white marble stones and the unreal color of the sea. I'm not judging the access to the beach and the bar, but the natural beauty of the beach and it's definitely worth a visit.
Darko M — Google review
No matter that the owner of Paralia beach Keramoti is the same, here the service was perfect! Food-incredible Drinks- as I say the cocktails in Greece are awful, so I prefer wine
Lilia A — Google review
When you turn from the main road you will have to drive 15-20 minutes on a very bumpy road. When you arrive in September the price for a set of umbrella and sun beds it is €50. Parking is free. Colors of the water are really beautiful, but that is about it. For me not worth the hype.
Rastko T — Google review
The beach itself is absolutely beautiful. But to pay 50 euro a couple for a set of umbrella and two sunbeds, and be asked to pay extra to shower is SAD. And what is this extra row of closed unusable umbrellas upfront for? SAD. And no service offered on the beach. SAD. Visited on 15/09/25
George M — Google review
A unique beach with marble pebbles, very beautiful. Not easy to reach but worth to visit at least one time during your visit to Thassos. You don't have to sit at the beach bar, there is free space on the edge, although not much of it.
GK J — Google review
While Marble Beach is beautiful to look at, the experience doesn’t live up to the hype or the €50 price tag. Two sunbeds with an umbrella include one soft drink, but the beach café was underwhelming - soggy sandwiches and little atmosphere. The vibe felt more about people queuing for photos than enjoying the sea. If you want the picture, go but it’s not worth paying to stay all day. Toilets are a 7–8 minute walk from the bar, so many people likely just use the sea. There are small public beach spots on either side of the bay if you want the free option, but they’re tiny and usually occupied unless you arrive very early. ⚠️ Beware: the road down is rough off-road terrain. Drive slowly or risk damaging your car.

Palude Taverna is a popular dining spot with a strict schedule, but the large serving sizes and tasty Mediterranean dishes make it worth the wait. Guests appreciate the free water provided and enjoy live music while dining on delicious grilled shrimps and Mediterranean salad. The courteous staff, reasonable prices, and excellent service add to the overall positive experience at this must-visit tavern in Thasos.
We had a fantastic experience at Palude Taverna! The food was incredibly fresh and delicious - everything from the appetizers to the main dishes tasted homemade and full of authentic flavors. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was really nice and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dinner. A big plus was the free parking and the abundance of parking spaces. We were also allowed to bring our dog, and the staff were not only accommodating but genuinely friendly towards our dog, which made the evening even more enjoyable for us. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Greek food and a warm atmosphere!

Lovely place, the food was very delicious, big portions. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There are a lot of wasps on the island this year but there they managed to keep them away so you can enjoy your dinner without being bothered.

The tavern quickly became our most favorite in the area of Golden beach thanks to the cozy atmosphere, very polite, friendly and attentive staff and last but not least the delicious food. The pinnacle of success in terms of greek cuisine! This place will take you from the vast region on Macedonia, through the deep Aegean sea, around Rodos and Crete, back through Thessaly and Saloniki, with just one tzatziki plate. Rich and powerful taste of fresh and delightful food will shower your food receptors! I am a local guide and i like this marvelous place! Three times hooray for this excellent restaurant!

The food was absolutely delicious! I loved all the seafood I had. We ordered the seafood platter for two people, and it was more than enough. Everything was so so tasty, but my favorite was the grilled squid. The mussels were extraordinary too although I’ve had mussels many times in Belgium and France, I’ve never had any as soft as these. The shrimp and octopus were, as always in Greece, simply delicious. They offered a cheese cake as a dessert. The service was beyond excellent. The servers were so kind and welcoming, they helped us choose and guided us to order just the right amount of food. I truly recommend this place buy you should definitely reserve in advance!

Absolutely loved this place! The food was excellent, full of flavour and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and the highlight was definitely the chef - a woman full of energy, funny, cheerful, and creating such a positive vibe in the taverna. What made it even better was the rest of the staff – genuinely kind, attentive, and always smiling. You could really feel that they’re a tight-knit team who enjoy working together, and that energy makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. You don’t just get a great meal here – you get a warm, authentic experience. Highly recommend!

The food is good. The prices are a bit high. Everything was delicious, and it's a restaurant worth visiting. The waiters can be a little upset if you order less, but they're attentive. You might have to wait a bit for a table.

One of the places where you could enjoy a peaceful evening and very delicious food! We went there for a dinner and left speechless with the portions and how tasty everything was! We have tried the fish grilled mix for 2, different appetisers and then finished with a free dessert from the restaurant 🤤🥰 Will definitely come back! 🎉

La Scala Beach is a charming coastal gem that offers visitors a delightful blend of relaxation and excitement. This compact sandy beach features inviting thatched parasols and comfortable sun beds, making it the perfect spot to soak up the sun. For those seeking adventure, jet-skiing is available, adding an exhilarating touch to your day by the sea. The lively cocktail bar serves refreshing drinks throughout the day, transitioning from morning coffees and fresh juices to vibrant cocktails in the evening.
modern place for unwinding and relaxation. the Beach is wonderful (although it gets pretty deep after a few steps). It's more for young people to enjoy the modern setup of this place, like the small pool with leaves all over, water falling from the above, the big, cozy chairs in the back under the palm trees, the restaurant etc. The only issue is the amount of wasps it has. We got bitten a few times (luckily, with no serious consequences). The staff is polite and fast with the orders. No outside food and drinks are allowed, as this place has everything to offer (however, prices are a bit high for the region)
Zoki G — Google review
One of the luxurious beaches in Thassos. We paid 50 euros for one set of sunbeds (for 2 persons), which had to be spent on consumptions from their bar. We had a wonderful day, everything was excellent, except for the wasps that were everywhere, making it difficult to eat comfortably. You can still go and eat at the bar, but it doesn’t really make much of a difference. They couldn’t offer us smoked coffee grounds against the wasps because their policy doesn’t allow lighting anything on the property. The staff was friendly and attentive whenever we needed something. The food and coffee were excellent, although the food options seemed a bit limited. You can also get a massage. Just ask the staff and they will provide you all the details. It’s separate from the beach and bar area, but the view makes it absolutely worth it. The sound of the waves and the relaxing ambiance make the experience a hundred times better. Prices are 30 euros for a relaxing massage and 40 euros for a sports/deep tissue massage.

La Scala Beach in Thassos is absolutely perfect! From the moment you arrive, the stylish design and laid-back vibe make it feel like an exotic getaway. For €25 per person, you get sunbeds and can consume that amount in food and drinks - totally worth it. We tried the avocado toast with salad, frappes, and a chicken club sandwich (it’s enough for 2 people) and everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is exactly what you need for a summer escape: chill music, beautiful setting, and even a small pool for extra comfort. Yes, it can get a bit crowded, especially during weekends, but that’s part of its popularity - and it still feels relaxed. The sea is clean and warm, and the palms give you that true beach paradise feeling. There’s also free parking, though it’s not covered, so your car might get hot. If you’re looking for a chic, well-organized beach with great food, good vibes, and stunning surroundings, La Scala is the place to be! I would say the best beach in Thassos island! 🏝️
Ral S — Google review
Probably one of the best beaches in Thasos in terms of facilities and service. The service concept is that you can use the sunbeds for free in exchange for a certain amount of daily spending. There is no entrance fee to the facility. You can use a single sunbed by spending €20 per day, and private lounges for 8–10 people are available with a daily spend of €350–€400. If you don’t spend that amount, you are required to pay the difference at the end of the day. Bringing food and drinks into the facility is prohibited — they confiscate them if they see any. The showers and toilet facilities could be better. There is also a small boutique in the facility that sells swimwear and clothing. The food and drinks are high-quality and delicious. The beach and sea bottom are sandy, clean, and calm without waves. There are also opportunities for water sports.
M. S — Google review
The music was excellent and the atmosphere lively. However, the sunbeds are placed very close together, leaving no real private space. The food was decent. The price is minimum 30€/40€ consummation per person. Unfortunately, we weren’t informed at the entrance that orders from the restaurant do not count toward this amount. On the positive side, the water near the rocky area is crystal clear. I would return for a party, but not for a relaxing day.
Stefka T — Google review
This is the best beach we’ve found so far on the island for relaxing — great vibes and perfect for chilling. The water is nice with small waves, but be careful of the big rocks when getting in. There are some water sports available too, if you're up for it. The food is really tasty, and the cocktails are decent. The only downside is the service — it’s quite slow and a bit disorganised at times. Still, the overall atmosphere makes it worth visiting!
Andrijana A — Google review
The atmosphere of the beach is really nice. The sunbeds are free of charge but you have to spend 20 or 30 euros per person depending on the place. We ordered pizza and it was good. The staff was nice.
Damla A — Google review
At the entrance, they ask if it's your first time and mention the spending limit. Then, without fully understanding the spending limits for each location and the Euros, we tried to get support and chose a place. We had a great time and enjoyed our entire day. The waitress was helpful and friendly. They asked us to check out at 5:30 because there was a wedding at the venue. Naturally, we wanted to use the showers and changing rooms when leaving, but the showers were in terrible condition. I had to bring bottled water from my car for my little daughter so she could at least take a shower. She said I couldn't bring the bottled water from my car in. When I explained that I needed to shower my child and that the showers were a disaster, I was forced to ask for permission to take two bottles. The mistake here isn't that I brought a bottle of water from my car to shower when I checked out; the mistake here is that your showers and changing rooms, which don't have hot water or even a shower head, need urgent repairs.

The Archaeological Museum of Thasos, located near the Ancient Agora, showcases a diverse collection of ancient sculptures, pottery, and artifacts that offer a captivating glimpse into the island's history. The museum's exhibits span from the Paleolithic to Roman and Byzantine periods, featuring reliefs, inscriptions, marble sculptures, and busts sourced not only from Thasos but also from Paros and Pendeli in Athens.
Very nice museum. Ticket was 4eur. We visited it last year in July. Good stories, intriguing figures, worth seeing

Ticket cost 4€ on their site and 10€ on the door. The museum shop doesn’t have credit card terminal. The museum is very nice, so much to see, and it is unexpectedly big. The lady working on the first floor was very nice to explain to us where to start our visit. You will need half an hour to one hour to explore it all. Then you can go next door, to the site where excavations are and see the ruins.
Jelica D — Google review
A nice place with a touch of history. What disappointed me greatly was the neglected first part of the tour (some display cases are illegible, faded). Furthermore, the website lists the admission price as €4, which I would consider adequate for what is on offer. Upon arrival, you find that the price has been covered up and is now €10. I recently visited the history museum in Heraklion, Crete, and this place is like its poor relative. It's worth a visit, but it could use a little care and a little less greed.

It was boring there, I regret the time I spent on the trip to this place, because of this museum we didn't have time to go to the beach, which upsets me, there is nothing to see there, the statues are all headless or just heads, a maximum of 20 minutes of viewing no more.

Beach
Makryammos Beach on the island of Thassos is a top choice for families with young children due to its clean and well-organized nature. As a private beach, it is meticulously maintained, offering a spotless environment away from the chaos often found in more touristy areas. This Blue Flag-awarded beach boasts tranquil surroundings, silver sands, and shallow emerald waters that are perfect for little ones to safely enjoy.
Perfect for peace and quiet experience on the beach! There is 50 Euro entrance for two sun beds and an umbrella. The cocktails are very well done and there are waiters. Also there is a nice tavern close by for lunch. The water is crystal clear!

Adrian S — Google review
Beautiful, but for the price of set of sunbeds of 50€ (one round basic drinks included) not sure if it worth it.. We were shocked when we heard the price, but after 20 min driving via dirty road, we decided to stay. Most of the time in front of you will be some influencers doing photoshoot. Also, bar has very basic stuff - like no proper meal, no wifi, and you even have to pay for the shower. Nevertheless, beach is beautiful. I wouldn't recommend for the family, but for couples, or photo lovers, sure. There is a small area where you can put your own umbrella, but it is crowded.
Dejan P — Google review
To gain acces to this beach first you must pay the guardian at the gate . We paid 22 euros for three sunbeds and one umbrella. You go forward with the car through the gate and park at the end of the driveway. The area is very well managed and all the things inside are tidy and well cared. There are peacocks on the edge of the road towards the beach front. Excellent service and good quality umbrellas and sunbeds. The sea entrance has a long distance of shallow and warm water so is perfect for kids and there are also playground installations for children. Underwater view is filled from place to place with brown weeds where banks of fish are usually swimming. There s also a nice island at around 50-80 m . This is a nice location. Go there but make sure you be on location in the morning
GeoNicoara Y — Google review
According to the Greek Constitution and coastal regulations, the shoreline and beach zones are considered public property, and free access must be guaranteed to everyone. Even if a beach is adjacent to a private property (such as a hotel or residence), the owner cannot block public access.

Nice beach, suitable for families with children. The entrance fee for two people is EUR 50, and you can come only if someone who is staying there makes reservation for you. At least it was like that in August. For my taste, that's an exaggeration. A lot of grass in the water, not so good beach service, and most importantly the sun went down around five thirty. It was in the water but not on the beach. That is quite early. I don't believe we will come again.

Ancient Agora of Thasos

4.3
(393)
Historical landmark
The Ancient Agora of Thasos is a grassy area that holds the remains of an ancient market constructed between the 4th and 2nd centuries BCE. Located in Limenas, the capital and administrative center of Thassos, this historical site is easily accessible via a pedestrian shopping street. Adjacent to it stands one of the oldest churches on the island. Visitors can also explore the nearby Archaeological Museum, which houses fascinating exhibits.
An ancient place, if you walk slowly and look around carefully, you will feel as if you have returned to ancient times. Maybe it can be arranged better and work a little more on preserving the old pillars and stone. Some small reconstruction would be great for this place.
Ivan L — Google review
Visiting the Ancient Agora of Thassos was a fascinating and memorable experience. Walking among the ruins, you really feel connected to centuries of history. The site is beautifully laid out, with stone columns, pathways, foundations of old buildings, and fragments of ancient structures that invite contemplation of past life here. What I especially appreciated: • The setting is atmospheric — you can gaze out at parts of the coastline from the ruins, blending history with natural beauty. • The paths are easy to follow, and signs (or information plaques) help explain what you are seeing and the significance of each structure. • It’s not overcrowded, which means you have space to wander, take photos, and soak in the ambiance without too many distractions. • The light and shadows play beautifully across the old stones, making for striking views. • The staff or site attendants (if present) were helpful, offering direction and answering questions about the ancient layout and its functions. • It’s quite reasonable in cost (or free, depending on local policies) and well worth the time — I felt I had a quiet, enriching journey through history. If I were to offer a slight critique: some of the signage could be more detailed or in multiple languages to help visitors fully understand each ruin’s original purpose. But overall, it was a serene, educational, and very worthwhile stop during my time in Thassos.
Alexius K — Google review
Agora Thassos, the remnants of the ancient market in Limenas, offers free entry. Unfortunately, there's only one informational sign at the entrance, and the rest is left without descriptions. For more information, you can visit the nearby museum. It's an interesting walk through history, but currently, you have to navigate through tall grass. We hope they address this soon by creating a designated path and adding more informational signs. Despite the overgrown paths, it's still worth a visit for those interested in ancient history.
Klara B — Google review
What an amazing site and so much to see. The site feels a bit neglected and more information would be great, but if you want to see findings of the agora, please visit the archaeological museum nearby. This is a must see here. You can visit this site free of charge. Amazing!
Harry's W — Google review
A great objective for both tourists and specialists. With impressive dimensions, it is located right in the center of Limenas, near the marina. Access is via several points, but in the ones near the port a number of steps must be lowered, a testimony of the orogenic movements suffered by the island's soil over the centuries. Paved roads, access gates, temple ruins, stone thresholds, blunted away by the footsteps of thousands of ancient passers-by, stones cut with unexplained holes for today, a Conservatory for music, drainage channels (carved in stone) of rain water, columns and stone arrangements whose functionality we can not guess, all this Agora offers us. Some stones ... But these stones give us an image, alive today, of the complexity and amplitude of the life of those who inhabited the island in antiquity. Some primitives who were carving their lives for eternity...

There is always room for improvement!! There is a need for the creation of a clear pathway that would introduce the visitor to the sites of the Ancient Agora. There is also a lack of signs that would describe the ruins. Compared to the well-organised museum, the actual archaeological site is an unfortunate case of lack of funding from the local administration. Please consider this as helpful feedback! From someone who wants to see thassos reaching its full potential. PS I believe that something should be done with buildings, such as tavernas or private houses violating the site!

Really loved this one. It's a ancient market of the island. Just close by the archaeological museum, you should definitely visit right after the museum. You'll see where all the little things were found from. You should also take some pictures on the museum of the micro copy of the ancient agora of what it looked like in ancient Greece before. Then go to the agora and walk around to really appreciate and see how it was and how it is now.

The Olive and Oil Museum on Thassos Island is a tribute to the cultural significance of olives, showcasing their 6,000-year history on the island. Housed within an olive oil factory, the museum features various oil squeezing machines and informative displays depicting the olive tree's journey and oil manufacturing process. Visitors can also watch a short film about olives. The museum offers different types of olive oil for purchase, including premium options recommended for salads.
A very nice museum with information about olive oil production and the variety of olives. The information panels are in Greek and English, and other languages can be accessed via QR code. The staff are very dedicated and even showed us a short documentary with German subtitles. We were also able to taste the house's own olive oil, which you can also buy in the gift shop. Definitely worth a visit while you‘re on Thassos! Entrance is only 1,50€

Although we stayed in Limenaria we came here in particular to visit the Museum. They have a parking lot near by. The ticket is 1.5 euro per person. The lady who worked there was very helpful and pleasant. You have the possibility to translate all the history through a QR Code reader which is perfect. The place isn't too big: only the ground floor and a floor on top. You can find there some exhibits of the tools used to make olive oil. Also, you can watch 3 documentaries in your native language and find some other things about the olive oil history. They have a conference room. You can buy bio or organic olive oil or plain olives. They also have all kind of souvenirs. In front of the Museum is a small terrace. We enjoyed our experience and we recommend it to the olive oil lovers.

Very interesting information about the olives and how it was used from the antiquity till present time. The shop has very small diversity and the olive oil prices are the same as on the other touristic shops.

Nice place. Interesting exibition with info about olives. You can buy something in their shop (olive oil, soap etc). Degustation of Oil. You pay for enter 1.5euro.

It's amazing small museum, part of the family run olive oil factory. The things that impressed me was there was audio guide available (using our own phones) which offers Bulgarian language and many other not so popular languages. There was a short movie also available with multiple languages subtitles. The video was very educational. The prices in the shop are very reasonable. The lady that met us was very polite and nice. Worth to visit. Tickets are €1.50. You car order coffee or other drink and spend some time there.

It’s a very nice museum of olives, olive oil and also some crocheting. You will understand the process of making the olive oil, it’s benefits and also their varieties. The entry fee is just 1,50 Euro. You can learn so much. I recommend. It will take you around 30 minutes in total.

I loved this museum. As the name states, it is a museum about olive oil. Most of the exhibits were regarding olive oil production and olives in general. However, as a beginner crocheter, I can't help but mention that they have a small part in the museum which is dedicated to weaving, knitting and crocheting. The entrance fee is 1.5€ if I remember correctly. They also have a gift shop worth taking a look at.
Alina G — Google review
Friendly and welcoming staff, with very affordable ticket prices. The museum features a fascinating collection of historical machines, complemented by informative display boards. Many exhibits also include audio guides accessible via QR codes, available in multiple languages. I highly recommend a visit!

Restaurant
Simi Restaurant on the island of Thassos is a charming hidden gem, offering an authentic Greek dining experience in a traditional old town setting. The menu boasts a wide selection of Greek dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients, including must-try items like grilled octopus, moussaka, stuffed peppers, and saganaki shrimps. With its amazing seafood options and quick, polite service, this restaurant provides not only delicious food but also a great atmosphere with views of the sea.
Incredible food and well worth the hype! Our host recommended Simi as the best restaurant in Thassos Town — and he was absolutely right. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the steamed mussels were unforgettable — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The grilled calamari was also amazing, tender, and big enough for two people to share. The service was friendly, and the harbor view adds to the charm. Be sure to come early — by late evening there’s a queue of people waiting to get in. Totally worth it!
Yana T — Google review
We tasted tzatziki, Greek salad, grilled octopus, grilled prawns, and ouzo. All of them were delicious. The sea view and atmosphere are perfect! Thanks to friendly staff!
Damla A — Google review
One of the better restaurants on Thassos with plenty of seafood offerings along with traditional Greek appetizers. Would have been a perfect experience if it wasn't for the swarms of wasp terrorizing the place. The waiters are trying to chase them away by burning Greek coffee in small plates but it's not really effective. I would suggest to buy some electric zippers and terrorize them back.
Bozhidar D — Google review
We enjoyed our whole experience. The taste the atmosphere the service was very good. But I highly recommend you make a reservation not to wait. Thanks.
CIGDEM A — Google review
A little over rated this restaurant. The salad Simi is average, they don't have draft local beer, no pita only brad, greek salad is below average, for octopus only 1 tentacle that was not warm. Pasta for the kid was good, the Tzatziki was the worst on the island. So for me not coming back. Better go to Mouse is very good food and better view
Dumitru P — Google review
Simi is an excellent restaurant in Thassos. Lively with excellent service despite how busy it was. Food was almost excellent, with the only exception of the mussels in saganaki sauce. Other than that all fresh and large portions. The mackerel with fava and the sardines were exceptional. Better book in advance or be prepared to wait. I would go definitely back again.
Yaman A — Google review
The restaurant is just outside the pedestrian zone, by the sea, looking at old harbor. The atmosphere is cozy and the restaurant is on two levels, the higher one under the big trees and by the archeological site. The location is perfect. The food is great, we had greek salad, souvlaki and calamari and everything was tasty and fresh, with portions big enough. The kids menu has few options and the portions are smaller and the prices half of the standard meal. The service was ok, but it was not crowded in the lunch time and the waiters were little slow still. They forgot the drink and we waited long for the insect repellent. The biggest problem are the wasps, they are everywhere on the island and you need to ask for the repellent for your table (they light coffee beans on fire).
Jelica D — Google review
food beautifully presented, suitable for Instagram, the staff is not interested and doesn't pay much attention to you, they make you wait a really long time (for a seat and for the food), prices slightly higher than in the area, they even forgot to give us sauce with our food compared to other restaurants it's a real shame, I wouldn't go again

Restaurant
Syrtaki Taverna is a great spot for meat lovers, offering traditional fare under a leafy canopy with a sea view. The restaurant also features live Greek entertainment during high season. Visitors have praised the delicious food and impeccable service, as well as the complimentary bread and dessert. The staff is described as kind, welcoming, and efficient, making it an enjoyable dining experience. Despite being popular among tourists, the place maintains quick service and reasonable prices.
The best shrimp pasta I have ever tasted on the island of thasos took a bit long for the honey feta cheese but it was made fresh in the oven but overall very very good food and other then the feta cheese which needed to stay in the oven which is normal very fast arrival time for the food even when almost full house
TUDOR I — Google review
The food was a total disaster and disappointment. Only the fish was good prepared. We were 12 people and all of us had a different dish, none was tasty. We hardly ate half of it just because we were starving. And all the food is coming with French fries as side dish, which tasted like they were fried 3 days ago.
Denica K — Google review
We dined here 5 times in September 2022 and we enjoyed every meal. Good and fresh food, good prices, the owner very nice. Complimentary fruits every time. You can pay by credit card. Totally recommend. ❤️
Elena P — Google review
Disappointing experience. Calamari was tough, not crispy, and I was charged extra for garlic sauce without being told. The watermelon dessert looked pale and unappetizing—when I asked to change it, they brought back the same piece. I eventually cancelled it, and they clearly weren’t happy about it. Staff were unfriendly and not welcoming. Prices are higher than nearby taverns but not worth it. Wouldn’t recommend this tavern to anyone especially tourists!
MERVE Y — Google review
Nice taverna right across from the ferry port. Huge portions of fresh food, quick service, and good value for money.
Viara D — Google review
This restaurant was recommended to me by the local tour agency Real Holidays, and the least I can say is I wasn't disappointed at all. I went to this restaurant 4 times in a row and tried many different dishes everyday. Every single time, everything was delicious, and the staff was always kind, welcoming, courteous, and easygoing. The food is fresh, consistently tasty and plentiful, and there are many, many, many choices to cater for everybody's craving and restrictions (vegetarian, meat-based, fish-based, pasta, etc.). Once again, a great place with kind and helpful waiters, and excellent food. 100% recommended.

Restaurant
Alexandra's is an incredible setting with a fantastic ambiance. They warmly invited all guests to partake in the program, which included both dancing and singing. The air was filled with numerous flowers showering down upon the dancers, enhancing the experience of this lovely and entertaining dinner. The proprietor, musicians, and proprietor's mother were all exceptionally kind individuals who put on an impressive performance. I will unquestionably return and highly recommend Alexandra's as a must-visit destination.
From the moment we made the reservation, we were met with kind and courteous people. As soon as we arrived, the owner kindly brought water for our dog and welcomed us with a warm smile. We really enjoyed the food—especially the moussaka, which was absolutely delicious. And yes, the place is full of fun and has something for everyone. If you’re as lucky as we were, you’ll get to enjoy a much more delightful evening with Miss Pinelopi’s live music. If you’re in the area, don’t skip this place!

A place where you can dine outdoors accompanied by live Greek music. It’s hard to find a spot without a reservation. If you arrive later than your reserved time, you’re sure to lose your table. I’ve added the menu to the photos — the prices aren’t too expensive. The food is delicious. I wish the service were a bit faster.

Awesome food. Delivious grilled calamari. Tasty tzaziki and pita. Friendly and charming people. We loved it here. And next time we definitely will try the recommended stuffed calamari. Thank you very much for the awesome time.

I waited around 40–50 minutes for a portion of souvlaki, which was already frustrating. But what made it even worse was the unwelcome surprise in my meal – a bug, which I believe was a cockroach, was sitting right in my food. I immediately took a picture and showed it to the waiter as soon as he came to the table. His reaction? He simply said, “It probably flew in from the kitchen – there’s nothing we can do about it.” That was the end of the discussion. To be fair, the ambience of the restaurant is actually quite nice, but the service and kitchen hygiene are absolutely unacceptable. I will definitely not be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Update after restaurant’s response: The restaurant has replied accusing me of lying. Just to clarify: • We were not informed about any kitchen delays at any point. • The waiter claimed the insect fell from a tree above our table, which is hard to believe, considering it crawled out from under the fries served with the souvlaki. • Both I and my girlfriend saw it come out of the food, not from the table or the surroundings. Also, I don’t think cockroaches live in trees — they’re more commonly found in unsanitary kitchen environments. I stand by my experience. I have a photo of the incident and shared it with the staff at the time. It’s truly disappointing that instead of acknowledging the issue, they chose to shift blame and call me dishonest.

If a Greek vacation had a name, it would be Alexandra’s Restaurant in Thassos! There’s something incredibly attractive and charming about this place from the very first moment—it all begins with the lovely lady who warmly welcomes you and takes your booking at the entrance. Her kindness sets the tone for a truly special evening. The atmosphere is vibrant, the food is delicious, and the entire staff is not only friendly but also full of life—some of them even dance, adding to the joyful Greek spirit that fills the air. We were surprised with not one, but two rounds of free ice cream, which made everything feel even more generous and festive. Alexandra’s is not just a meal—it’s an experience, and one that captures the true essence of a Greek holiday. Highly recommended!

TARSANAS Luxurious Studios offers a stunning location with well-maintained rooms that provide a beautiful beachfront view. The beach and water are pristine, complemented by the natural shade of trees where you can find the beach bar and restaurant. Although the menu may be limited at times, the food is delicious. The hotel could benefit from additional staff members to enhance services, but they have hardworking employees. Ample shaded parking is available, along with a children's playground.
Stayed at Tarsanas for a couple days and I had an amazing experience! The food, location, and service were fantastic. The food was authentic Greek food and all the workers there are very friendly. Would definitely come back again!
Marcus L — Google review
It's far from Luxury. The location is great, it's at the beach which is a great advantage, the staff was friendly and helpful but the positives end there. They advertised free access to the beach which is conditioned by a minimum consumption of 20€ per person. The beach itself is publicly available, so it gets crowded during the day. The restaurant is expensive, and the food served there is poor, same goes for drinks made at the bar, bottled drinks are okay, but again, extremely expensive. The parking space is also not reserved for the guests of the hotel, so if you drive away during the day to get groceries or visit the city center, you may find no place to park when you come back. Now to the rooms, lets start with them being nothing like the photos, the rooms were uncomfortably dirty, with mold in the bathroom and insects in some harder to reach spots, the cleaning is done once a day, but I think having one cleaning lady that is quite old is not enough to provide quality cleaning. The towels are also replaced once every two days, and there are no separate beach towels provided. The room was advertised to have a kitchen, and it did, but it was tiny and poorly equipped, which was extremely unpleasant, especially since we planned to do most of the cooking ourselves. We had to buy our own knives and borrow plates and utensils from the restaurant, they were nice enough to offer them but it was still an unpleasant discovery. The beach is neither too dirty, nor too clean, and you must be aware of the sea urchins around the rocks, nothing spectacular. For the price, we could've stayed somewhere a bit further away from the beach, and take a short trip to that or other beach resorts near the location, I definitely don't think it was worth it, given all that I've described above, and the expectations set by the mostly positive reviews and great looking photos.

I dont know about hotel. We only came to tha beach. Nothing is ok here. From the different menu prices to the pathetic attitude of the staff, including the lady who takes the money at the bar and who tells you that you can't sit at the bar to order but that you have to go to her on the other side... Something bad bad!!!

Beautiful Location but Major Water Issues I stayed at this hotel in Thassos for four nights with my three kids. While the hotel itself is quite nice and the beach is absolutely stunning, our stay was seriously affected by a major issue: there was no running water most of the time—no water to shower, wash hands, or even flush the toilet. The hotel staff kept insisting it was a general island-wide problem, but this wasn’t true. My friend stayed at a nearby hotel and had water throughout their stay. It’s clear the issue is with the hotel’s infrastructure, especially on the upper floors. The owner really needs to invest in a proper water pump system. It’s a shame because the location is great and the property has a lot of potential, but basic necessities like water are non-negotiable—especially when traveling with children. Until they fix this, I unfortunately can’t recommend staying here.
KIVANÇ S — Google review
Heavily Disappointed – Would Never Recommend I am extremely disappointed with my stay here and would never recommend this place to anyone. We booked the suite — the most expensive option they offer — expecting a clean, spacious, and beautiful room as portrayed online. Instead, we were met with dirt, poor cleaning, no towels, and a room that was small and nothing like the photos. To make matters worse, there was no running water. We couldn’t shower, brush our teeth, or even wash our hands and had to use my child’s room just to get by. The staff made no effort to help; they simply looked on helplessly and offered no solutions. The beach is nice, and the location is okay, but the rooms and overall experience were of such poor quality that it completely ruined the stay. For the price we paid, it was truly unacceptable and very sad.
Nicolette D — Google review
NO !!! Just big NO to this place and its greedy, rude owner who called me disgusting trash because I wasn't able to pay more than 1000 in cash. Left before scheduled and booked departure because of the attitude we received ever since we stepped on this cursed property. Rooms were never cleaned and food was nothing that I could get close to my mouth. Of course POS was not working even for the overpriced dinner.
