Ledbury in 2 days

If you only have 2 days to spend in Ledbury, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Ledbury is a picturesque market town known for its beautifully preserved timber-framed buildings and historic streets such as cobbled Church Lane. At its heart stands the 17th-century Market House, surrounded by independent shops, traditional pubs and cafés. The town has strong literary connections, hosts poetry events, and sits close to the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Eastnor Castle, making it a good base for walking and exploring the surrounding countryside.
With favorites like Brewery Inn, Janey's, and Y Pass, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Janey's and The Codfather Part II so you can get the best taste of Ledbury while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

The establishment offers a variety of options, from garlic focaccia with cheese to smoked salmon linguine and their signature Olive Tree pizza featuring goats cheese, caramelised red onion, and fresh spinach.
Beautiful place and great atmosphere. Foods were delicious, good size portions. Service was great to start with, then slow down once it got busy, even on Monday night it was packed. Will be back to try other dishes. Thank you.

Visiting the area and was recommended this rested at by a local! Did not disappoint! Beautiful large building with plenty of seating. We sat out in a conservatory space but was not cold and did have heaters if need be! Great menu lots to choose from. Had a few starters which were lovely. All our mains were delish and very good portions. Lovely Spagetti bolognaise!!!!!!! Facilities were clean! Plenty of tables and we did book. The place was very busy which is always a good sign. I won’t deduct a star BUT we waited a LONG time for our mains which was a bit of a disappointment!!!! Table was booked for 8.15 and didn’t get mains until 9.40pm so we were very hungry but staff did seem generally apologetic! But food was absolutely worth the wait!

I had the tagliatelle alla carbonara and it was great! The meal tasted soo good and I would definitely recommend it. I sat outside in the courtyard area. I was expecting it to be cold but was protected from the elements and had heaters. The staff were friendly and the service was relatively quick. I would definitely come back.
Rob — Google review
I went here for dinner with my girlfriend and really enjoyed the beautiful setting of the restaurant. Service was generally swift and attentive and the food was quick to arrive, very tasty and well seasoned. The desert was also lovely. We will definitely be back. Great selection of vegetarian dishes, great portion sizes and a generous menu. Thank you for a lovely dinner!
G S — Google review
Awesome food, great service and atmosphere. Carbonara was spot on and certainly matches the fantastic ones we’ve had in Italy. Recommend 100%
Zoe A — Google review
Great Italian restaurant with a big selection of food to choose from. Well worth a try as you will not be disappointed. Great atmosphere and service albeit a bit slow but the restaurant was busy for a Thursday. Plenty of space as the entrance is deceptive - has a couple of covered courtyards at the back. Good and reasonably priced wine list.
I R — Google review
An Italian restaurant from where I sat could have been any restaurant, it may be corny, but no Italian pictures or Italian music playing in the background, these things make a difference. Customer service very poor. To be offered a bottle of wine, for it to arrive with no wine glasses, and for the bottle to be opened out of sight of dining guests and then not be offered a taste or nose on the liquid is poor form and smacks of being a down market cafe as opposed to decent restaurant. To be asked for my order without having seen sight of a menu or wine list is very poor form. Lack of communication between staff members I presume. Not to be offered table water again poor form. Overall lacking in service and atmosphere. Suggest employing mature team members as opposed to too many girls. Maybe some Italian greetings or farewells would make it a little more Italian and not just a bland almost motor way cafe style.
Nige E — Google review
Had one of the most amazing meals here. The staff were lovely and even though it was extremely busy, they always had time for us. The good itself was delicious and the portion of starter was insane! Well worth the money. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

The Seven Stars is a charming 16th-century gastropub with comfortable rooms and complimentary breakfast. Located in the historical district of Ledbury, this inn offers chic French/British cuisine at its restaurant and a cozy bar/lounge for drinks. The property features a small beer garden with real ales and a terrace with lovely views. Despite its unassuming exterior, the pub surprises guests with its spacious interior.
We had a delicious evening meal, my husband had the steak and I have the braised beef, we really enjoyed both meals. We then went to the bar area and they had a great range of non alcoholic drinks which was perfect for us. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the staff were great. We had a brilliant time and I would highly recommend the seven stars

Lukasz and his team are amazing. They hosted our wedding reception and it was faultless. The team worked so hard to make sure all of our guests had the best day. Food was outstanding. Can’t thank them enough for the excellent hospitality.

It's up there with some of the nicest pub food I've eaten. Well cooked, seasoned and a decent sized portion. Will definitely be going back.

Pub good. Food poor. Location absolutely terrible if you want to sleep at night. Noise from the bar very loud but stopped 11'ish, fair enough. Noise from the town clock, bells on the hour EVERY FRIGGIN HOUR!!😱😩😱😱😩😩

Basic bar but ridiculously expensive beers, over a pound more for a pint than any of the five other pubs visited in the town. £5.60 for two halves.

Went to see Giles Shelton’s ‘Old Herbaceous’ last night and it was an absolute delight. So glad we went. Perfect intimate little theatre to perform this touching monologue. He was sharing his story with me personally. Beautiful script, beautifully performed in the right venue. Fabulous and well done!

My lad performed in a play here recently and his drama group won 7 trophies! Really nice cosy theatre with a nice atmosphere, hope we have a chance to return soon

Excellent entertainment venue for theatre, pantomime and cinema. We've just been to see this year's panto and it was brilliant and so good to see a well written script turned into a great show by a cast of all ages and a superb team behind the scenes making it all come together so well. An absolute joy and lots of fun for all ages.
Guy B — Google review
A great little theatre with 127 seat capacity. Close to local amenities and car parks. Well looked after. Pleasant and efficient staff and volunteers. Good sound. Saw Blackheart Orchestra (Prog Rock) gig on 1st March 2025 and it was excellent.
Shayne L — Google review
I have seen some great performances here that I always go on to recommend to others (especially if they are touring). The theatre is well laid out and considering its size on the outside it feels very big inside. Great place to see something different or to take children to for the Pantomimes. I have not struggled to find parking too far and usually it is free considering the time most shows are. Everyone working there and the performers are always nice.
Nathan S — Google review
I’ve not been to this theatre but want to personally thank you for not allowing drinks in to the main venue!!! Someone complained about no spirits? Um go to a pub instead? Also who’s going to pick up all those plastic cups you will (of course you will) put on the floor? Or mop up the “dodgy” red wine dregs that will drip when tipped over? Who wants a to sit next to someone slurping away with beer or wine breath? Maybe just once they could come and spend an hour or two without drinking alcohol? And leave the “dodgy red” and the spirits to the pubs close by? So thanks again for caring about those of us who can manage a couple of hours without a drink, and not subjecting us to smelly alcoholic breath and smelly sticky floors (because we all know that after the alcohol has been drunk. the owner of the plastic cup (who is three sheets to the wind) will just put it on the floor to be kicked over). So I will be delighted to visit your spirit free very soon
Emz — Google review
I did like the theatre it had a really lovely original warm feel to it. Only negative is how tiny it is.I just feel like it was so cramped inside. People were in every single seat I felt like very claustrophobic with random people so close to me breathing down my neck. Also when waiting for the show to start you have to wait in a tiny foyer all together. Not good if you have any kind of anxiety.
So B — Google review

Great clean well stocked ship and café. We had milkshakes, coffee and biscoff pancakes. Portion was perfect and not sickly. Staff were friendly. It had great gifts, some gift bags and cards you can get every thing you need for last minute gifts in one stop if needed.

Had a great time with my granddaughter at one of the Chocolate workshops. Had a great time making lollipops and chocolate bark. Well presented and nice to learn more about the chocolate process. A delicious hot chocolate. Enjoyed the chocolate tasting, dark chocolate was my favourite and the best I have tasted, my granddaughter’s favourite was white chocolate followed by dark. Would highly recommend a visit.

A massive thank you to Heather and her crew at Choccotastic! We booked a birthday party for our daughter’s 8th birthday and her and 5 friends had a fantastic time. Heather was brilliant with the group, very knowledgable and engaging. They got to make chocolate lollies and chocolate bark decorated with their choice of yummy extras from Heathers wall of goodies. Then a massive chocolate dipping experience with milk and white chocolate and tons of sweet and savoury treats. Definitely good value and a great experience was had by all. ❤️

Been here twice in 2 days, very friendly and a warm welcome. My husband and I visited on Saturday (whilst visiting the caravan shop) and then again on Monday (another caravan shop visit) bringing our daughter and granddaughter. Our daughter said it was the best iced mocha she has ever tasted, and she has tasted many!
Hazel W — Google review
Had a very educational and fun morning at the chocolate workshop for adults, which my son bought for me as a birthday present. Very interesting to learn the differences between decent chocolate and the cheaper brands. We got to taste 5 different types of chocolate and each of us made two scrummy bars of chocolate to take away. Highly recommended as an 'experience present' for a loved one.
Mary K — Google review
Attended family workshop with my grandson. My grandson said it was great 👍. We made some chocolate lollies (4) and made some bark which we brought home. Learnt how to taste chocolate as well as how it is made. The hot chocolate was lovely. A really enjoyable and informative worshop. Worth the money and would go again.

Janey's in Ledbury is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The charming ambiance and friendly staff make it a delightful place to stop for a snack or meal. With a large menu offering something for everyone, the food is excellent, with options like tasty quiche and salad or a moist Bakewell slice paired with a creamy cappuccino. Despite being busy at times, the attentive service ensures that any issues are quickly resolved, leaving guests satisfied with their experience.
I ordered gran sandwiches with mayo chicken, latte and waffle with a vanilla ice cream, toffee fudge and toffee sauces is very delicious. All staff always friendly and service fastest. The room is good, hygiene and relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed it.

Bought a Panini from here, not to exaggerate, but this has to be the worst one I've ever seen or eaten! Hardly toasted, was more like bread. uneven cut too. A thin spreading of mediocre pesto, and lumps of mozzarella which aren't even properly melted- the second slice had no cheese on at all, how do you manage to mess up a panini with 3 ingredients, including the bread, this badly?

Review date: 10th November 2022 Restaurant: Janey's. We planned a visit to Ledbury. As our friends suggested this restaurant, we came across Janey's and thought we would give it a visit. Janey's had a certain charm and a delightful ambiance. The food was excellent and the young lady, Melissa, gave us friendly and fantastic service. The selection of dishes on offer was great, I had a tasty quiche and salad. My wife had the Quiche of the day, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Overall a fabulous visit and I feel sure that we will return again. Thank you Melissa and the team you not only made us welcome but gave us a lunch to remember, thank you. X💜

I used to love it here but after today I can safely say I won’t be going back. 1 ‘large’ chips that was about the same as you’d get in a cone and batter so undercooked it ripped through the paper and the fish fell out. Vile. £17 for an inedible lunch
Ellie S — Google review
Started coming here about two years ago & the food was lovely but the last three times not so good , way to much salt on the chips & could not eat the curry sauce as the taste of salt was way off the scale will not be going back my wife is allergic to fish so cooking jumbo sausage in the same oil as fish is a no no.

Lightbulb doesn’t shine very bright here. First time ordering and last time it will be!!! I’m sure you could get some medicinals here while you wait too. Food wasn’t fantastic ether. Shame really but won’t be visiting again.
Rich P — Google review
Have had good experiences in the past but this evening the service was very poor. No recognition when I went in Ordered my food and stared in disbelief as my sausage was slid from end of the counter to other where it dropped into the chips before being dished up. Will not be returning
Lynn H — Google review
End of the evening but Google states this place is open till 9pm, when the place is actually open till 8.30. How difficult is it to put your correct business hours? I waited abit to order as well as another lady whilst they sorted out a system as it was all abit disorganised. I appreciate it was towards closing but there were 3 people there. When I did finally get to order, they didn’t have any large fish either, so I left it and went to a competitor who cooked it fresh in 5 minutes.
Esme F — Google review
So I have to say it’s Clean and tidy and the food is ok … chips undercooked . Probably as they were rushing . Hardly any gravy on chips and when asked if I could get a little More as ordered a large no chance . I’m assuming it’s the owner well his attitude is disgusting and needs to hang his gloves up and allow someone younger and who knows customer service to take over . If someone took over could be amazing but at the moment a good 4/10

Amazing fish and chip shop with reasonable prices. This facility is cash only - but there’s a cash machine a short walk away! Both meals pictured had been partially eaten, but give a look of size. The battered sausage and small chips and large cheesy chips are photographed, we also had battered gherkins (which were incredible)! The batter here is amazing, very light and crispy. Would definitely recommend

Popped into Ledbury thought I'd try the YPass fish and chip shop just off the High Street. Absolutely brilliant Fish and Chips, curry sauce was great to. Good thick piece of Haddock with crispy batter, and chips cooked just right. Good size portions of fish and chips, will definitely be coming back here soon.

Y Pass only take cash so make sure you go to the cash point first. It is a different fish and chip shop. The portions are large, we order scallops and had about three in a pocket. We also had battered gerkins and got a box. So its a good place for ordering in a group and you can have your own makeshift buffet. They have tables in the court yard and a little covered area too.

The Brewery Inn in Ledbury is a beloved traditional pub located just 0.1 mile from the town center. Tucked away, this cozy establishment offers a warm and friendly atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. The pub features a spacious beer garden where patrons can enjoy real ales and live music, making it an ideal spot for socializing with friends or relaxing with your furry companion as it's dog-friendly.
Best pub with a snug and fire in Ledbury. Off the main road a bit, tucked in behind a chip shop, but well frequented. Pogues on the radio, games always on, pool and darts upstairs. I came here to read and was left to my own devices in the snug, which was ideal. A bit rowdy at times, but it’s a pub. No food besides crisps as far as I know (?)

In the Summer a lovely beer garden with the added bonus of outside TV to watch all the sports. The freshly made rolls with various fillings are delicious. The added bonus to this pub is it dog friendly inside & out with treats for your furry friends. Disability access is another bonus. Debie & Mark go out of their way to accomadate all the of their customers.

Great place for a pint Brilliant outside area and a garden for kids to run around in. Even better dogs welcome. Drinks great price! Live music which is awesome. Deb and Mark welcome everyone with a smile and make you feel totally at home. Sports on all the TV’s which should satisfy anyone. Definitely a must if you are in Ledbury!
Amanda P — Google review
So I have visited this place with my family on a few occasions and found this to be a great pub with possibly the biggest garden in the area. It has recently changed hands and is now run by a lovely couple called Mark & Deb. It is clear that these two have ran pubs before as they always give a great welcome and make everyone feel comfortable and at ease on every visit. They have their lil family in the pub many weekends and their grandchild so it is clear that families are welcome. If your visiting Ledbury then you wont go far wrong to pop in for a cosy drink in the pub or if the suns shinning in their big garden out the back. Maybe you like Live Entertainment ? Then pop your head in of a weekend as there is always something going on. Proper Pub.

Had an amazing afternoon at the Brewery Inn atmosphere was great entertainment was brilliant. Danny and Deb were great hosts and everyone was really enjoying themselves. We felt really at home and would highly recommend the Brewery inn, the selection of drinks was fantastic and there were tvs available everywhere to watch the sport. We were able to order a takeaway to eat while we enjoyed a Gin and pint and cutlery and condiments were provided. The pub is dog friendly and the pub garden is lovely to sit in on a sunny day but also has ample cover on a rainy day

The amusement park Newbridge Farm Park is a great place for families to spend a day out. There are plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy, from pony rides to tractor rides and sand pits. And the prices are unbeatable!
Absolutely brilliant day with the kids. So much for them to do. The pony ride and tractor and trailer rides were the highlight of the day. With carting, sandpits, slides, swings, zip wire. Indoor softplay, outdoor climbing and adventure. And the feeding the horse, donkeys and goats. Very enjoyable day out. Price is very reasonable also. Definitely somewhere to come back to. And would very much recommend.
Nicky C — Google review
Lots to do in a farm environment for all ages. Goats and pony's to feed. The most brilliant tractor ride, I'm 62 and thought it was so much fun, probably outdid the grandchildren with laughing. Only lost a star as the food is quite expensive but they also encourage you to bring your own. Would most definitely go again, we were there for 3 hours and it kept a 3 year old and 18 month old busy for the whole 3 hours, could have stayed longer but the rain was against us
Sarah — Google review
Friendly welcome, the young lads working in the shop were great. Tractor ride was probably the best tractor ride we’ve been on, it’s different to the rest! Every play area is clean and tidy, even the sand play areas! The few animals were friendly and could see they are well looked after! There’s literally something for all ages! The indoor soft play area is 10/10! The little gift shop there is great and not stupidly over priced! Lots of benches for a picnic, there is food available from the shop, hot and cold plus drinks, again priced well! We all had a lovely day out!
Maria P — Google review
Lovely adventure type play area with nice seating and reasonably prices refreshments . My only gripe is the age range allowed to play on some of the equipment. You have to watch younger children carefully (4/5/6) as much older children 10 plus barge around.
Geraldine L — Google review
Looked great, we were super excited. 3 cars of us all drove down full of kids got there and they turned us around as they were fully booked. The kids were gutted. Its ruined the day. Will book another time and maybe try again. But definately book before u travel.
Holly M — Google review
Not many animals to see, but there is plenty of activities for children. Soft play, karts, zip line, sand pits, tractor ride, slides etc. Food and drinks available, picnic area and car park.
L ( — Google review
Been visiting for many years. The children have always loved it and been made to feel most welcome. Never too busy and great parks and toys to play with.
Joel T — Google review
Excellent place! Kids loved it and the vibe was very chill! The tractor ride was random but the kids enjoyed it so that’s all that matters!

Hellens is a Tudor house and one of England's oldest dwellings. It offers guided tours, period furnishings, and has a tea room for visitors to enjoy. This fascinating manor house has medieval origins and is known for its resident ghosts. It also houses relics of Anne Boleyn and has a room prepared for a potential visit by Mary Tudor.
We had an amazing day at Hellens. We booked on the guided tour, and it was easily one of the most informative and interesting tours we have been on. The guide knew the history of the house and local area in depth, and brought it all to life. There are a few quite important exhibits to find, which our guide pointed out and explained how and why they ended up where they were. There's also a decent café, the cream tea was excellent as was the coffee. We also spent a good few hours wandering around the gardens and various outbuildings, which were interesting. Overall, a refreshing and relaxing experience. Very pleased to have found this gem. I think we will go back and do it all again.

So today I joined with the Ladies of Chatterbrook WI on a guided tour of Hellens Manor at Much Marcle. I have to say that I had no idea of the history of Hellens, or the fabulous Wharton Collection artwork on display. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was superb. We were told that a needle work group, having already spent 7yrs embroidering, are in the process of completing a 9m long wall hanging of the full history of Hellens which will go on display later this year.
Geoffrey W — Google review
The gardens around the outside are lovely and well worth a walk around. Very interesting herb garden and some sculpture scattered around. The tea room was lovely and well worth the cost. Coffee was great and came in a cafetière which meant much more than one cup. Cake was moist and the tasty.

Intriguing, mysterious and historic place. The house has not been overly restored which only adds to its charm. The staff are super friendly and helpful, most are volunteers by all accounts so bravo to them! Great ghost stories and history by lovely guide. Good value, cream tea and house tour cost me about £15 so will be going again. They host various events here too. Music and arts and exciting new masterpieces coming soon from London!

A fantastic Sunday afternoon out. It’s free entry and the place is tranquil and charming. Our favourite area was the Physic garden, so interesting! There are lovely woodland walks and a fab cafe servicing cream tea for 2 for £12.00. They also have a cider mill and you can buy their pressed apple juice bottled. Doggie friendly too. Highly recommend!

You have to book onto a tour to view Hellens. It took 1 1/2 hours with a very informative guide. Such a beautiful home with lovely gardens.
Janice L — Google review
We sadly just missed out on a tour of the house but spent several hours exploring the gardens which were very interesting. Definitely recommend the cafe which serves home made cakes using local products. There was a friendly chicken too who ate crumbs out of my hand, worth a visit in itself.

Wonderful day out, beautiful views and lots of information throughout. Steeped in history as old as the cedar trees! Well maintained and a lovely tearoom with homemade cream tea. Definitely recommend the coffee 👌🏼

Fabric store
Home goods store
Tinsmiths is a charming shop in Ledbury that has become a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike since its establishment in 2004. Although I encountered an unfortunate closure during my visit, the store is known for its commitment to offering quality items that are both beautiful and practical. Many patrons have shared heartwarming experiences, highlighting the helpfulness of the staff who go above and beyond to assist customers, including those with accessibility needs.
Nicki and her team have made two sets of curtains for us. Although we have ordered via the internet, the curtains have been expertly made, came with instructions for hanging, fit perfectly and look great. We wholeheartedly recommend Tinsmiths.
David S — Google review
My son and I had a lovely time in Tinsmiths recently. Because I am in a wheelchair I was unable to see books that were in an area with a step. The lady explained what was in this area and brought a number of books for us to look at. She was really kind and helpful. We bought a book and some beautiful pop up cards and squirrel! We will definitely be back and thank you to the lady for making us feel so welcome.

What a joy to browse. An exquisite shop, tastefully laid out and stacked with beautiful items that scream “buy me”. I bought anniversary cards, placemats and coasters. It would have been more but my partner dragged me out 😁

Tinsmiths was one of the highlights of our shopping trip to Ledbury yesterday. It’s a lovely shop with a great variety of different styles of merchandise. The service was fantastic - very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back!

I visited Tinsmiths for the first time recently and was very impressed with the store. Good quality items at affordable prices and excellent customer service. If I lived closer I would definitely be a regular customer.

I was very happy with the bedroom curtains Tinsmiths made for me. I was grateful for some advice over blackout fabric before I placed my order. When the curtains arrived they were beautifully made and easy to hang. I would definitely recommend Tinsmiths to others and use them again.

Nicki was fantastic to deal with, and the curtains I ordered are absolutely beautiful - made with such skill and attention and worth every penny.

Great variety of unusual quality gifts I bought a Shupatto bag which I love for it's versatility and have received lots of compliments. Excellent customer service - thank you Sue

I visited this store recently and was extremely impressed with their friendly service. As they didn’t have the size slippers I wanted, they ordered them. This was in the afternoon and they were delivered to me at 8.30am the next morning! Brilliant shop and service.
Meri R — Google review
You might miss the gem hidden away in the back alley off the main street but you'd be poorer as a result. If you like Scandinavian design and taste then you will love this shop it is packed with all sorts of well designed, high quality products. We could have spent a fortune in there but as we were on holiday we had to limit ourselves to what we could carry away ... Then we discovered they have a website with all the delicious furniture and soft furnishings that we had to leave behind.
Ian S — Google review
I can't remember ever entering a shop and feeling immediately happy, until last weekend. What a lovely little store. Tucked away in Ledbury, my wife and I stumbled across this beautiful store on a day trip accidentally. I wanted to buy literally everything. We settled for some Scandinavian slippers, soaps and sunnies.
A-Class S — Google review
Totally individual shop with some beautiful and interesting items to intrigue you. I went looking for another pair of Glerups (Danish slippers) my third pair over the past few years, and found the staff very helpful as always.

I ordered two Christmas presents online rather late in the day. They arrived in 3 working days, and free of charge too. Hus and Hem products are lovely and their customer service is exceptional. All in all, it is a real pleasure to do business with this small business.

We had a few drinks and 2 x meals. Asked an hour before If they could put the F1 qualifying on, told yes great. Qualifying started, I asked again, fobbed off and had to leg it to the Brewery which changed over one of their TVs for us. Once bitten, twice shy! Shame

Haven't been in for a year or two, and what a transformation. The inside areas and outdoor courtyard are beautiful. The cask ale was good, and the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was the best my wife has tried in a Herefordshire pub. The All Day Breakfast was excellent - the poached eggs were perfect with bright orange, runny yolks. Absolute top quality.

Pub
Nestled in the charming village of Much Marcle, The Walwyn Arms is a delightful family-friendly pub that truly embodies the essence of traditional dining. Known for its commitment to using local ingredients, this inviting establishment serves up mouthwatering dishes, with their Sunday carvery being a standout favorite among patrons. Just a short drive from Trevase Granary and Penblaith Barn, it’s conveniently located for those exploring the area.
This place is a hidden gem. Found when we were passing through. We do live around Gloucester but never really been to Much Marcle. The excellence started with the two young ladies who welcomed us as soon as we set foot in the place. A rarity to be greeted anywhere these days. Lovely food. This is a well run establishment ( a credit to the owners) A well oiled machine. 110 per cent worth going to. We tried the set menu but next time we will do the open menu. They also do a carvery on Sundays I believe. Cant wait to co.e back. Very relaxing place with great and genuinely inerested staff who will ask you many times.es if everything is ok
Martin O — Google review
Absolutely fabulous. We visited for Sunday lunch - carveries all round - and we were blown away by the quality of the food. Quite literally, the best carvery we have ever had. The staff were friendly, professional and very accommodating and the atmosphere in the place strikes the balance of cosy pub with spacious restaurant, so you don’t have to be knocking elbows with your neighbours. If they put the cherry on the cake and installed EV chargers, you’d have an unbeatable foodie destination!

Definitely a hidden gem well worth going great food very polite staff. Food was so good we actually went for a second time. In a week. Prices are a bit premium, but you do get a lot for the money.

Best carvery I've had. Came as a large party and were welcomed by very friendly and attentive staff. The food was absolutely perfect and the portion sizes were very generous! Wish I could have attempted a pudding but I was far too full. Playground for the kids and clean large toilets. Would definitely recommend.

Nestled just outside Ledbury, The Verzon House Hotel is a delightful Georgian country house that has been beautifully transformed into a chic retreat. This charming hotel boasts cozy rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi and minibars, offering guests both comfort and modern amenities. The vibrant on-site restaurant showcases the culinary talents of head chef Charlie Weedon, who emphasizes local flavors by sourcing ingredients from nearby suppliers like Westons Cider and Knightwick Butchers.
We are so grateful that we chose to have our wedding ceremony and reception here in July. We decided in the January to get married, and within a month everything was planned thanks to the amazing Maisie. Nothing was too much trouble and we worked closely with the kitchen to plan the most amazing three course wedding breakfast. The owner was also kind enough to allow our lovely dachshunds to be part of the ceremony which was incredibly important to us. I stayed at the hotel the night before, which turned out to be a big win for me as it was burger night! We booked the Pinnacle Hill as the bridal suite and it was incredibly charming, with lots of natural light...perfect for the wedding preparations in the morning. Every inch of the building and grounds was a wonderful photograph opportunity. Set in the most beautiful countryside, the warm, sophisticated building is always somewhere we have enjoyed to visit and now it has become even more special to us. Thank you so much to the Verzon Team for everything that you did to make our day so wonderful. We are hoping to see you again to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! Jamie & Beth x

We were given a gift voucher for this venue, but after numerous attempts to get in touch and redeem it, we’ve had absolutely no response. It’s incredibly frustrating that such a significant sum of money has effectively gone to waste. The complete lack of communication and customer care is unacceptable – a very poor reflection on the business.

My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Verzon House. I was so pleased we chose to stay half board as the food, both breakfasts and evening meals were perfect! The taste and presentation of all the food we had was incredible, we were both very impressed. All the staff we met were very professional and polite and we were made to feel very welcome. A welcome that also extended to our dog Ziggy, who also enjoyed accompanying us for the short stay. Our room, Midsummer Hill was everything we’d hoped for and more. The bed extremely comfortable, the decor lovely, the shower was excellent. Having a small jug of milk in the fridge was also great to see, it’s normally the first thing I ask for when we stay somewhere, but this time i didn’t have to! Our room and the whole Hotel was extremely clean, decorated to a high standard and has a lovely character. We will definitely return.

This stylish heritage property offers a comfortable location and an impressive bathroom. The decor is impeccably classy, with thoughtful details throughout; the inclusion of a KitchenAid kettle speaks volumes to the property's refined standards.
Ilona A — Google review
Our two-night stay was a mixed bag. The receptionist who greeted us was friendly but was unable to provide recommendations for restaurants or activities in the area. While there were some pamphlets available, I would have appreciated a proper recommendations list in the room. We stayed in a family room, which could use refurbishment and a more cohesive style. It felt like a mix of country house and 'modern' décor, with silver-painted architraves adding to the confusion. The room was cold and needed a heater, and the sofa bed was uncomfortably lumpy. Breakfast was excellent, but dinner was less enjoyable. My fish was overcooked, which was disappointing. However, the tables by the fire created a lovely atmosphere, and the location was excellent. With some improvements, this place has the potential to be much better.

My daughter had her wedding here. It was an absolutely brilliant day and everything went smoothly. We stayed overnight in one of the wonderful rooms. Love the decor of the whole place. The food at the wedding was excellent, service good too. Breakfast very tasty. Staff were helpful. Would highly recommend Verzon House Hotel for a short stay or just to have a meal.

I recently held my 60th birthday dinner at the Verzons House Hotel. From start to finish, I could not have wished for anything better. Planning it with the team was relaxed and efficient. We had the whole restaurant area to ourselves, so it was private and intermit. The food was exceptional - every course presented beautifully and cooked perfectly. All my guests were thoroughly impressed! The waiting staff were excellent - efficient, discrete, polite and friendly. MU guests who stayed the night were impressed with their huge rooms and comfortable beds. It was a truly memorable occasion and despite knowing beforehand the evening would be good, the Verzons team involved managed to surpass my expectations and help make my birthday dinner party a truly memorable occasion. I would not hesitate recommending The Verzons for your special occasion. With sincere thanks to all involved.
