The Schwazer Silberbergwerk Besucherführung offers a unique underground adventure through the historical silver mine in Schwaz. Visitors can board a mini train and journey deep into the mine, exploring exhibits on mining life and a 16th-century water wheel. The tour takes approximately 90 minutes and provides an immersive experience of Schwaz's illustrious past. While the narrow and low tunnels may be challenging for some, the fascinating insights into mining history make it a worthwhile visit.
So worth the time and money! Trip not too long, amazing experience, cool tour guide and awesome experience with some learning. And you can continue digging into treasure by accessing their store with plenty of bracelets, necklaces and pure stones. City of Schwaz is cool as well
Łukasz B — Google review
The mines were nice, but you need to install an app to translate from German. If you have no battery, or data you won’t understand much (the guide did zero effort). Also, installing the app doesn’t automatically get your audio for that place, but to nearby museums
Alex — Google review
It was interesting to learn about the history, and the train is a fun touch. The excursion is in German but supposedly there's an app to listen in other languages.
Irina D — Google review
We had specifically asked for an English tour and even downloaded the app, but our experience was very disappointing. The tour guide was awful and didn't speak any English at all, apart from the safety instructions. I strongly recommend that you avoid this attraction
Itai V — Google review
A visit with my Austrian husband, his local brother and sister in law and 3 grown up, non German speaking kids. The guide alternated viewing of the videos during the tour so we could watch in English and also took us aside to explain areas of the mine. This was unexpected and appreciated. The audio guide was also informative. A great experience.
Christina R — Google review
Definitely one of the must go places. We went there as a day trip from Innsbruck. Riding the mining train was so much a fun way to go into the mine. The tour guide was also very nice and explained everything very clearly. We were allowed to ask questions and listening to the back story of the mine inside the mine is a really fun way to learn about it’s history and the history of Schwaz. But make sure to arrive early, as we were late for 5 minutes and we have to wait for another tour an hour later. Luckily there were some openings in the next hour.
AA — Google review
Lack of at least english translator. Other than this quite nice experience.

The place was not busy when we arrived at 12:00. The service was good. The food was good. The beer was cold and fresh. A good place to have a lunch while waiting for the mine experience near by.

Quite disappointing... As it was written the person is unfriendly looks like this people don't even want to work here ... 😢
Mitya P — Google review
Extremely salty soup, “the miners car” was not good at all, greasy sausage, very over cooked, dried meat pieces. My liver was tolerable however the potatoes were way too salty, all swimming in greasy sauce. The vegetarian option was so so as well… Overall poor quality when it comes to food. The waiters were nice enough however not even once someone came to ask if our meals were ok. We only said the food wasn’t particularly good while paying which was met with just “oh really? Sorry to hear”…. Customer service?

Amazing tasty traditional food, good and fast service and good installations. I suggest the Bergwerkspfandl; really soft, cheesy and well prepared dumplings (knödeln)

Schmeckt Fantastisch! Our car actually sent us here! Had no idea this place was in schwartz! Best pizza I have found in the area by far! The pizza was wonderful! Hiking Trails
Wolfsklamm, located in the Karwendel Mountains in Tyrol, is a seasonal hiking destination offering challenging treks alongside canyons, ridges, and waterfalls. Accessible from the village of Stans in the Inntal Valley, it can be reached by train or car. The hike takes about an hour to reach the falls with many steps and natural terrain. Visitors are advised to be prepared for this adventure.
It's a great walk along side a gully that has water gushing down, there are prepared walkways and plenty of memories to capture. A beautiful Austrian restaurant awaits you at the top, allow a comfortable 1.5 hours to ascent from the carpark. 6 Euros parking and 6 Euros for the walk/climb.
Michael S — Google review
The most beautiful gorge I went to on holiday in this area of Austria. Definitely worth its price of €6! You have to get through the "ugly" phase in the beginning with trees blocking the view, but after that it gets more beautiful with each step. The walk back is mostly downhill but a bit boring (45-60 minutes). In the village there are some shortcuts to get back to the parking lot quicker.
Eva_S — Google review
Takes 45-60 minutes to reach the top, medium difficulty, uphill is one-way alongside a gorgeous creek, many waterfalls, white crystal clear water, well kept and managed, there are comfortable toilets right after the entrance gate. Access fee is 6 euro per adult, seems too much but worth it. Twe went up to Benediktinerkloster St. Georgenberg and had a good meal then came down on an akternate road which took 90 minutes, it is a dirt road but quite steep at place and demanding on the legs.
Andras D — Google review
Very short part of trail goes through gorge and you have to pay for it. It’s one way only So going back you go by another route At the end of the trail their is a restaurant and church
Ana V — Google review
Wow, this is an incredible trail! The hike cuts through a gorge carved out by a river with wooden walkways built along the walls. The trail then goes up to a beautiful old monastery that has a cafe. The apple strudel with ice cream and raspberry soda was a delightful treat with an amazing view. Just take the S4 train about 30 min to Stans b. Schwaz Bahnhst. It's then about a 2-3 hour roundtrip hike. The gorge trail does have a fee of 6€ and only about half the hike is through the gorge. But the whole hike is scenic and I thought was totally worth it. To be honest, the pictures of the gorge really can't do it justice and must simply be experienced. It is a moderate to difficult hike. I saw some families with babies and toddlers struggling a bit. Not sure it's that kind of hike. Also it can be a little confusing to follow the trail once you get out of the gorge. There are basically two options: either the lower route back to Stans village or the upper route to the monastery and then to Stans through another trail. The girl at the ticket booth recommended the upper route. There are some signs to follow but the monastery route is right and up a gravel service road. There are also some church stations of the cross along the road up to the two old chapels. There's also a cool old covered wooden bridge spanning a canyon to get get to the monastery. Getting back to Stans is also a little confusing but just follow the signs for Maria Tax and Stans. At first it follows the gravel road but then the Maria Tax trail cuts down off the road becoming a hiking trail through the forest again. At one point it crosses another gravel road down past another chapel. Overall a fun and beautiful half-day hiking trip from Innsbruck!
Jesse H — Google review
This place is very beautiful. It is a bit pricey but it is understandable since the stairs and bridges need to be taken care of. It is worth noting that it is a hike (our 3 year old made it, but barely), and it’s a round way, you cannot turn back once you’ve started. But otherwise I recommend it highly! You will not be disappointed by the gorgeous (and scary!!!) waterfalls and by the river 🤩
Héloïse C — Google review
Beautiful and different kind of hike as you’re mainly walking by the river and taking a lot of stairs. Be aware that you have to pay, not expensive though.
Anders T — Google review
Fun hike through the gorge, took about 2 hours in total including the return down a separate track through the forest. Can be a bit slippery on the wooden walkways when wet. It is well worth taking the extra time to climb up to the monastery, where you will be rewarded with a lovely restaurant serving simple and delicious food.

(Translated by Google) Today I had the great pleasure of participating in the "Wolfsklamm with all the Senses" summer program offered by the Karwendel Silver Region. As a local from Stans, you'd think you'd know the Wolfsklamm well. And what can I say: No, I didn't, at least not as I experienced it on this tour. The nature educator, Bennet, awakened the childhood spirit of discovery in everyone in the group. We learned to consciously engage with the trees, rocks, and the flavors of individual herbs. For me personally, it was a wonderful short break in my hometown and an experience I can highly recommend to everyone.

I recently visited a pizzeria in Stans, Tirol, and was genuinely impressed. Everything—from the warm hospitality to the delicious food—was absolutely top-notch. The pizza was baked to perfection with a crisp base and fresh, flavorful toppings. The ingredients tasted authentic, and the portion sizes were just right. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Service was fast and friendly, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Whether you're a local or just passing through the area, I’d highly recommend stopping by this place. It’s a true hidden gem in Tirol!

This place is great! Once we’ve discovered it, me and my friend we went to grab a bite to eat literally everyday for about two weeks. Everything we tried out from the menu was to die for- and we’ve tried pretty much all the courses. The ambiance very welcoming and charming. Highly recommend!

Went here because of the good reviews, but was somewhat disappointed. As an FYI, it's placed outside of the city and at a badminton/tennis center. The food was okay, but the service could be way better. No one looks around to see if a table needs anything, which lead to waiting a long time before we could order our 2nd drinks. We wanted to have some dessert / coffee after dinner, but no one answered our calls or asked us. After about 15 mins of trying, we decided to pay and leave without dessert.

The area features a deep valley underneath the bridge, offering an exhilarating experience for the brave-hearted. A narrow path near the bridge leads to Mayrhofen, passing by quaint cottages with farm animals and meadows filled with vibrant flowers in spring.
Teufelsbrücke is an impressive sight! The bridge is not too long but spans a considerable depth, offering a breathtaking view of the gorge and the rushing water below. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, with lush green landscapes and towering mountains all around, making it the perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers. The bridge in itself is nice but after 2 minutes u will have seen enough. The hiking route of which it is part is worth the time. Take 32/32b or 32a, through the forest. It will take u around so u will end up at the bridge again after 1-2h, depending on the route. We took 32b and partial 32a, total a bit less than 2h (with 8 and 11yo kids).

This small, old bridge is very cute, it is worth visiting. The environment is a tipical rural countryside. Absolutely lovely. Under the bridge, there is a deep valley. Look down only, if you are brave enough! Near the bridge, there is a narrow path taking you to Mayrhofen. You'll pass some cottages, where you can see farm animals, like cows and chickens. The meadow is full of flowers in springtime, the bees are buzzing, the lizards are bathing in the sun. I loved it!

Bistro
Cafe Bar Radio in Schwaz offers a diverse menu of food and drinks in a cozy atmosphere. Whether you're craving bistro cuisine, delicious cocktails, halal-certified dishes, or vegetarian options, there's something to suit every taste. The stylish ambiance provides the perfect setting to enjoy great food and select beverages. Visitors can indulge in large-sized burgers with homemade ingredients and dips while enjoying attentive service.
Mom-and-pop burger place with outstanding, tasty burger selection. There is an extraordinary amount of variations with toppings and meat - you can choose from about 20 burgers. Without a doubt the best burgers in Schwaz. Fries and two dips are included in the price. The owner is extremely friendly and attentive. I am a fan of themed inside decor but I found this one very cliche - this is clearly subjective however and you can sit outside too. To put it simply, Tyrol is not one of the places where gastronomy thrives - Cafe Radio makes you forget about that.

Very rude service! Waited 45 minutes to get a password for the WiFi, a young German girl started to shout at us! Waited 1 hour and more for our food to be served and we needed to film a music video and lost the perfect day. The food was great, just wished the service to improve

A bit rustic, but super friendly and food is superb. And the view is the incredible!

I ordered a cup of water and the owner treated me very kindly. The place has a very good view. Next time I would like to try some food next time.

We just had wine because it was on a cash basis. Next time will more money then eat something there! But the atmosphere was 🤩. It's a good place to rest after a hike or bike!

(Translated by Google) The view is extremely beautiful. We actually wanted to eat something, but the lady (waitress) wasn't friendly and welcoming to me personally. So we decided to just have a drink. And then drove on towards Schwaz where we ate something.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. Yes, it was a rainy day, yes, it's the end of July, but... we enter the dining room and greet them cheerfully. The landlady sits there smoking, unable to open her mouth. We ask if it's okay to sit down, and yes, yes... so I decide to leave this unfriendly, smoky-smelling place on this day.

(Translated by Google) Great hosts. We highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back. (Original) Super Wirtsleute. Man kann es nur empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

(Translated by Google) Super nice view. Went up in the car in the evening around 6:00 p.m. after strolling through Schwaz. There is a small parking lot there from which you can walk about 200m to the inn. Very rustic atmosphere, great view and super nice landlady.
