Points of Interest & Landmarks
Wilton Windmill is a charming 19th-century working mill that continues to produce wholemeal stone ground flour. Perched atop a chalk hill in the open countryside, it offers a picturesque sight against the landscape. The site is ideal for leisurely picnics with family while enjoying the panoramic views. Visitors can witness the sails turning and observe corn being ground on Sundays during the season, with an opportunity to purchase some at the onsite cafe/gift shop.
Really lovely place, sadly only two off the windmill blades where up, but still, nice place to visit
Angie C — Google review
We had a wonderful visit to Wilton Windmill. Our two young boys enjoyed the tour and learning how the windmill worked. Our volunteer guide Chris was very knowledgeable and engaging. The guide book for the windmill was very informative and is worth purchasing. It also has some activities for children in, including the trail for the tour. Personally I didn't enjoy walking on the wooden platform around the outside of the mill - I found the creaks unnerving, though it is apparently sound. It's a wonderfully peaceful site. In terms of facilities, there's limited parking at the roadside, one portaloo and a small café offering refreshments (and ice cream). Plenty of picnic space. We were here for about 2 hours in total.
Midas G — Google review
Fascinating little place. You can visit it any time I believe, however, for tours you have to come at a certain time which is mentioned on the website. Nice little bit of history restored by a passionate individual. The scenery around the area is gorgeous and it's close to Martinsell hill which is worth a visit as it's quite close by. When looking it up on Google maps I saw what looks like crop circles in the field next door. Overall a lot of interesting places to see nearby too so would be good to make a day out of it! Have fun!
Artur K — Google review
Went for the family fun day and was a brilliant day, lots of activities for children, birds of prey, beer and coffee tents, stallholders, plus tours of the windmills too, def a day to put in the diary!
Emma G — Google review
Beautiful windmill! You can join the tour inside and also buy flour produced from that mill. We loved the tour, and we learned a lot about the mechanics of the mill. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
Vera M — Google review
Amazing site. Beautiful scenery and benches to have a picnic.
Ravi — Google review
Only open for tours on Sundays 2pm - 5pm (and a few other days during the year). Well worth a visit if the time window works for you. The guides are very knowledgeable and approachable, and there is a great little cafe/ticket office. There is not a lot of cover if the weather is not good. Roadside parking is very limited, but there is a field beside where parking is also available.
Richard S — Google review
Aug 28 Still a lovely and refreshing place. They made changes to picnic benches and good to see this upgrade. ====={{ Fantastic experience to be there around and snapping a few family pictures. We were lucky to get sunshine on our visit on Sunday, especially during this time of year. I believe they have no guided tours especially in winters.

The heritage museum Crofton Beam Engines is a must-see for anyone interested in steam engines and canal history. The building housing the engines is still in its original location, on the Kennet and Avon Canal, and provides wonderful views of the canal and countryside. The volunteers running the site are friendly and enthusiastic, providing plenty of information about the engines and canal history.
We were very fortunate to get a private tour as we had been given an out of date leaflet at the hotel so the place was closed. Luckily they were doing a volunteer training day and trying out a coal substitute and we were invited in for a tour. The boiler was at full steam and both pumps were working alternatively. The volunteers enthusiasm was quite infectious and great to see people giving up so much of their time to keep this wonderful bit of history working. There is no admission fee but you will be expected to leave a donation which we were pleased to do as we learnt so much.
Graham B — Google review
Lovely working museum, heat to see a vital part of the Kennet and Avon canal in action. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. Nice little cafe. Small car park.
Graddy 6 — Google review
Managed to visit on one of the steaming days, really interesting and fascinating to see the pump in action. Lots of friendly helpful volunteers to answer any questions.
Colin D — Google review
Loved it. The oldest working steam engines still performing their original job and the most pleasantly instructive steam museum I've visited yet. The volunteers are well informed and also supremely keen to be helpful. We'll worth the trip. Reccomend
Richard S — Google review
A great day out, with lots to.learn. Go.on a steaming day, worth it. Entrance is £12.50 for adults, which is a little expensive but for that you get a year pass, so.then if you use that it's great value. Run and managed by volunteers a fantastic operational water lift station.

A fascinating place. The dedication of the volunteers keeps this little gem going. It's history and working pumps are spot on. There's a lovely cafe but if you're going with a family it may be worth your time to take a picnic. Lovely walks and places to watch the world go by.

A beautiful place with some of the best volunteers I have ever met. It was fascinating and I really enjoyed it. If I had visited as a child I would have been an engineer by now, it is extremely inspiring.

Heritage building
Historical landmark
Chisbury Chapel, also known as St Martin's Chapel, is a 13th-century medieval chapel located in the hamlet of Chisbury, Wiltshire, England. Originally built to serve the lord of Chisbury Manor and the local community, it provided a convenient place for religious services and tax payments. The chapel ceased to be used for religious purposes at some point. The building features flint-faced walls and original woodwork in the ceiling.
This place is amazing. Reminded me of Duxford Chapel. A 13th century Chapel that was turned into a Barn back when Henry 8th came and did the reformation in 1547. There is parking, it's FREE to go to, it's in the middle of nowhere though so no toilets. There is seating outside and a farm next to it. There is quite a lot of parking. Also, masks are recommended at this time. It's also along a dirt stony track but is signposted. Very good day out with beautiful views showing the beauty of Wiltshire.
Bella_therapy R — Google review
Bit of a pain to find (see attached pictures). Google will take you via the farm but you need to go around. Be careful on the way up, the underside of my car got damaged by the path, just some scratches though. The chapel itself is quit pretty, definitely agree it is a lot like Duxford, or Temple Manor if you managed to see that. Great views, would be quite nice to sit here on a hot day.
MGX93dot — Google review
Lovely little place to stop at while driving through. It's set just outside a farm. You can only approach this from the north entrance via Chisbury Lane. Google will potentially show you entry from the south but that is not possible. You can drive up the little lane off Chisbury Road directly up to the chapel and there is enough space to turn around to leave. Be careful on the road up as it is a dirt/gravel track so take it slowly.
Nathan D — Google review
St Martin's Chapel, Chisbury is a mediaeval former chapel next to the manor house in the hamlet of Chisbury, Wiltshire, England. St Martin's was built in the early part of the 13th century, on the edge of Chisbury Camp, an Iron Age hillfort. There are written records of it from 1246 onwards and its surviving architecture is contemporary with that period. The walls are faced with flint. The windows have the remains of good-quality Decorated Gothic tracery that suggests they were added in the latter part of the 13th century.
Ngo A — Google review
I visited here as part of my english heritage tour. Here is some background: Chisbury Chapel is a small medieval chapel dating from the late 13th or early 14th century, situated on the site of an older hillfort in Wiltshire.
Anthony C — Google review
A medieval Chapel, still with its 13th century consecration mark. The Chapel is along a narrow farm track in the yard of a farm. No other facilities.

A little gem with great atmosphere, built in a break in the fortifications of an Iron Age camp. Don't expect to see very much, just rnjoy ehat there is, and the beautiful location and views.

I went to this bench with high hopes and was not disappointed in the slightest! Although at first I was confused on the proper way to use the holy bench, when I finally sat on it my cheeks filled with joy. The design of the bench was so minimalist I was concerned if some of the comfort would of been lost but no! Behold! The most comfortable bench I have ever had the pleasure of sitting on. Thank you holy bench, you have made my year.

Coffee shop
Nestled at the end of Marlborough's high street, The Food Gallery is a charming family-run café that serves as an ideal destination for your morning coffee or a leisurely lunch. Renowned for its delightful cappuccinos and affordable refills, this cozy spot invites you to indulge in a variety of delicious offerings. From beautifully presented full English breakfasts to scrumptious eggs benedict on sourdough, every dish is crafted with care.
Had a really great breakfast here. The place is well kept and has a lovely atmosphere for families, hillwalkers, and more. Their own roasted coffee is very good for the price and the £1 refills are a nice touch. For breakfast I had the eggs royale. Whilst I think the muffin could have been toasted for longer and the eggs were a little over done for my liking it was a solid meal on the whole. Would recommend 🙂

Really lovely staff, welcoming and friendly. Didn’t at all mind my bike outside behind the table I was sitting at unlike some other Marlborough Cafe’s!! I will definitely be back with all my cycling friends 🚴‍♀️🫶👍

The Food Gallery is hands-down the best coffee stop in Marlborough. Right on the High Street with parking close by, it’s a true local gem — welcoming, relaxed, and full of character. I absolutely love the owner, Ben, who is incredibly kind and genuinely passionate about the place. You can tell he cares deeply about the customer experience and has great ideas for keeping things fresh and improving the layout. The café already feels so warm and inviting, and his enthusiasm makes it even better every time I visit. The atmosphere is perfect for everyone — families, teenagers, parents, and people like me who sometimes come solo to work or just enjoy a quiet coffee while soaking in the friendly Marlborough buzz. It’s great for a working morning, a relaxed lunch, or simply sitting back and chatting with locals. The coffee is exceptional — their bespoke roasted blend is rich and smooth, and the hot chocolate is one of the best I’ve had. The menu is brilliant too: English breakfasts, poached eggs, panini, soups, salads, sandwiches with fresh meat or fish fillings, homemade sausage rolls, vegetarian options, and delicious cakes. Everything tastes homemade and thoughtfully sourced. The staff are always attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about your experience. The Food Gallery offers that perfect mix of comfort, quality, and community — the kind of independent café that makes Marlborough special. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, lunch, or just a refuel during a High Street wander, it’s the ideal spot to relax and enjoy a proper coffee. I can honestly say this is my go-to café in Marlborough for work, lunch, or simply a calm, welcoming moment in the middle of the day. A brilliant independent coffee shop that truly deserves its reputation.

This is one of my favourite place for breakfast. Nice service, dishes always perfectly cooked and presented. I love the menu but I highly recommend Eggs Royal! I've been there many times and Eggs Royal are always a winning bet. I'm not a good coffee drinker but my wife loves their coffee. I love the fresh orange juice.
Jose S — Google review
This was my second visit to the Food Gallery. The first time, I came with my child after a bike ride and we stopped for drinks we really enjoyed the atmosphere and I was looking forward to coming back to try the food. Unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing. I was left standing around, unsure how the queuing or seating worked, and when a table became free, another customer who had just arrived was seated instead. So we just left. It’s a real shame, as the place has great potential, but the lack of a clear system or guidance for customers made the experience frustrating. I hope this can be improved for future visitors, as it’s a lovely spot otherwise.
Joey C — Google review
Came in for an early lunch and left amazed. I ordered a cappuccino and it was one of the best ive ever had, and their English breakfast was the perfect portion and tasted amazing!
Huh H — Google review
Only stopped for a quick lunch. But beware! If you order Croque Monsieur, you just get a ham and cheese toasties with a hint of dijon... No bechemel or dipped in egg in sight! Can't complain otherwise, free water, nothing to complain about for service.
James C — Google review
Visited 25/03/23, midday. Just before the busy lunch period. We ordered full English & eggs benedict on sourdough. Both nicely presented and tasty. Good menu, jacket potatoes, panini, sandwiches too, and cakes. Nice ambiance, friendly staff. Only suggestion is offering a larger option on the coffee size, they only do a small one which is very nice but would like a larger option. Recommended, would come again.

Rick Stein is a dining establishment located in Wiltshire, near Marlborough, offering a selection of British and internationally-inspired cuisine. The restaurant provides both à la carte and set menu options in an upscale setting. Customers have the opportunity to enjoy a superb lunchtime meal with friends, complemented by excellent service. Reservations can be made by phone.
A great visit from start to finish 🤩 I can’t fault our experience yesterday, from the lovely welcoming from front of house, to our server Kate. And of course our food!!! We shared the sizzling prawns. For mains I had the Indonesian curry, my other half had the beef roast. Dessert nearly beat us so we both had an affogato… the best ice cream ! Great beers on offer, I was driving so the 0% beer went down a treat. We are just over an hour away, but will definitely be back.
Sarah K — Google review
Food was excellent, if not a tad on the expensive side. Service could have been better, felt forgotten about at times, perhaps due to it being busy. Have a good range of good quality seafood on the menu, the oysters were super fresh and tasty. Worth a visit if you like seafood.
Laura H — Google review
Food was to die for. Oysters are a nice good size. We were recommended to try the bang bang cauliflower by the waitress and it did not disappoint. You get loads in lobster roll and the portion of fish and chips is also very good. Definitely recommend. It all tasted very fresh. We also went on a very hot day and an effort was made to spread the customers around to keep it nice and cool in the restaurant. Definitely recommend. Also the location is perfect, good to have a stroll around after, and easy to park with free parking in Sundays!
H ! — Google review
We had an unforgettable experience at Rick Stein’s. From start to finish, everything was flawless ,the atmosphere, the service, and most importantly, the food. The salt and pepper prawns were perfectly crisp with just the right amount of heat. The beef steak was cooked beautifully tender, full of flavour, and paired wonderfully with the accompaniments. The cauliflower bang bang was a real surprise — bursting with flavour and utterly addictive. The crab linguine was everything you’d hope for at a seafood restaurant: fresh, delicate, and rich without being overpowering. And the crème brûlée was a flawless finish creamy and smooth with that perfect crack on top. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive , truly elevating the whole experience. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We’ll absolutely be back and are already recommending it to friends and family!
Vanessa F — Google review
First, let me say that Rick Stein is my all time favourite TV chef, so when I was in Marlborough, and saw there was one of his restaurants there, I cancelled my previous booking elsewhere and booked here. I could go on and on about why I was so disappointed, but ultimately, the food here was just ok. We had a halloumi appetizer - very nice and well balanced, followed by mackerel, scallops and watermelon salad as 3 starters. Mackerel was nicely cooked but the whole dish was bland, the scallops were completely tasteless - I mean completely - like nothing, and the watermelon salad was not exactly fresh - withered rocket and watery over ripe watermelon pieces. The fish curry main was very nice, but all in all, when you consider the portions are all smaller and the price is highly inflated (as you would expect), you expect the quality to be much higher. I was entirely disappointed, and would recommend 3 or 4 other restaurants in Marlborough instead. If I didn't love Rick's tv shows so much and enjoy his books, I would have marked it lower.
Marc B — Google review
We enjoyed our outing but didn't feel we got the overall wow factor like we've had on our visits to the Seafood restaurant or the Cafe in Padstow. The front of house staff, whilst kind and attentive (when other customers permitted!), weren't necessarily as fully trained as we have become to expect from the Rick Stein brand when they are working on the floor. One of our starters didn't arrive complete, but unfortunately, the kitchen nor the server noticed. Overall, it was a pleasant afternoon, but we were hoping for more.
Julie B — Google review
Had a three course lunch today, prawn tempura, mackerel paste, lobster roll, steak frites, chocolate tart for dessert…restaurant is very dark inside and didn’t really fit with the bright summers day. Toilets were v messy and not quite in line with expectations. Food was v salty and the portions were not big. Service was set at 12.5% cover charge, a little high, optional of course….Left a little disappointed to be honest
Mike M — Google review
Service is impeccable, Staff was so attentive and liked how they took our coats and welcomed us warmly! Drinks were great. The only almost negative star was the duck confit seemed overcooked (but still yummy so I still ate it haha) but the sourdough, mussels w escargot butter, glazed honey carrots and crab linguine was delicious. Would come again if I was back in Marlborough, to try other dishes!

Nestled in the charming village of Great Bedwyn, The Three Tuns is a delightful pub that captures the essence of traditional British hospitality. With its inviting beamed front bar adorned with local artwork and an open fire, it offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for unwinding. The pub boasts an impressive selection of well-kept local ales like Butcombe Original and Ramsbury Gold, alongside a diverse range of wines and spirits.
Easy find from Bedwyn station (just a five minute walk). Lovely, welcoming atmosphere with excellent service from the start. Varied menu options with a good range of drinks and local ales. Delicious food with generous portions. It was so good we came back the next day!

Lovely pub with good food. I like the variety of prices as I just wanted a light lunch when I went in today with my dog, so got the Summer Ploughman's which was a good price and substantial. Both staff at the bar were very welcoming, and Liv brought out snacks for my dog and was intuative and helpful. Great staff make for a great experience and I will definitely return when I am next in the area.

Excellent food here, as well as a good selection of drinks and friendly service. In addition, this is a "dog friendly" pub, offering a garden area and the freedom to bring four-legged friends into the pub. While I was there guests included large families with children as well as couples. Dogs were kept very much under control. The dining area is spread over at least two large rooms and is very clean and well-maintained. At the time I visited (Christmas), a two course meal was under 25 pounds and a three course meal for 28 (not including alcohol). Highly recommended and I will go again.
Oliver B — Google review
A great pub and well worth visiting. All pubs need our support. Now, to be honest, my Sunday lunch was not the best. I believe the butcher might have let them down as the Beef was a bit ropey. The Yorkshires were a bit dry too - but they can be quite tricky. Not going to down vote as all other food was excellent- i will try lunch there again as it might just have been a duff joint, or my bad luck. Everything else was excellent.

Fab place, couple of miles walk from the carpark at the end of downs lane. Burial c 3000 BC. Give me my history, that I may love my past. These free draining fields of grey make my bones ich, that they may, one day, rest here, where the scraped hills bask naked in the sun. Where the ghosts of ancient forrest's leaves rustle on the wind and new, rare, habitats bounce underfoot. Give me my past, that I may feast on it, and feed my future.

Was a nice hike through the town and across the valley of stones to reach this beautiful place. Very peaceful and no one else was around, so we could enjoy the spot without issue. Really great that it’s fairly remote and needs a bit of a hike to, which makes it a little more protected. So many Neolithic sites in the area it’s definitely worth coming to. Also friendly farmers. Highly recommend
Caïna V — Google review
Quirky pile of rocks which you can climb, etc. Google took us to somewhere you can’t really park (though a kind stranger let us park on her driveway), and finding it wasn’t too easy as fences block the way and need climbing over, etc (not easy with a baby in a buggy and two young kids). Cool when you get there though, and apparently there is a proper place to park cars, and we went home via a circular route which was easier terrain, but ended up confusing once over the main road, to find our way back to our car.
Matticace — Google review
Well bit of a tricky place to find. You turn of the A4 and go up this byway to a farm yard. On the other side of which is a steep grass road which takes you down to a gate. I had to go through the gate and past a herd of cows and a massive bull. As this is a footpath not sure why the massive bull was there. Come through the gate turn right past the bill and head to the other end why there is a board explaining the history. There is another gate there. The cows and bull follow you to the gate. Short walk on the other side is the Neolithic stone work which is in some grassland. It’s all free just beware of the bull
John — Google review
Wow what a pain to find no signs from car park. Once parked in the devil's den car park walk down the long byway (track) till there is a small gate (with beware off bull sign) just after a corner go through to next small gate & follow cut path keep left and walk down the hill until you see a tree 🌳 surrounded by stones and turn left through another gate and your in view 👍 possibly a 20min walk.

This is such a beautiful and tranquil place, just you, the birds and the breeze. About a 15 minute walk along a track opposite the village of Charlton between Marlborough and Avebury. Take a picnic and just chill.

It's a nice place to spend time quietly relaxation with fresh air. You can view the farm area also there is some amazing Stone standing.
Rajnur R — Google review
Google maps sent me along a bridle path that does not take you here. If walking i suggest you follow the (longer) driving route to "up on the downs car park" then approach from there

Lockeridge Dene and Piggledene, a picturesque area in Wiltshire nestled between Avebury and Marlborough, is a true representation of an idyllic English village. This enchanting spot holds a small portion of a national treasure, with scattered remnants of ancient sarsen stones that grace the landscape. The region also boasts notable landmarks like Silbury Hill and West Kennet long barrow, offering an up-close encounter with ancient history.
Sarsen stones scattered along a dry valley. The nature reserve spans three fields. My kids enjoyed climbing on the stones. You can park on the road through the village, and there is a small playground opposite the nature reserve entrance.

Such a beautiful area. Lots of walking trails. One of my favorite places on the planet.
Steven H — Google review
It's a nice place, especially the village of lockeridge. It's more of a pitstop though. I believe you can walk from the dene to the longbarrows.
Jack S — Google review
I always thought where did the stones come from for Stonehenge? After all I did live next to it for 14 years. Well now I know where and how. The blue stone was from wales. You could walk all the way to Avebury Ring on these stones but sadly they have been removed by Farmers before the Trust took over.
Bob F — Google review
Great to walk around the stones
Alison J — Google review
Quite lovely spot. Sarsen stones everywhere and there's a path weaving through them. If you climb up the bank on one side there's a great view over this small valley - stayed nearby in an AirBnB which was charming.
Ian S — Google review
Fairly short but enjoyable walk. If you walk up the hill in the second field you are able to see the edge of West Woods/Bluebell woods- pretty sight Grazing cows at different parts of the year.
Josh B — Google review
Beautiful part of Wiltshire between Avebury and Marlborough. Pretty much the very picture of an English village harbouring a tiny part of a national treasure. Littered about as though forgotten remnants of ancient sarsen stone that dot the monuments of this part of the landscape of the country. Lockeridge itself is also home to the 'who'd a thought it' pub and close to Silbury Hill and West Kennet long barrow. If you like ancient history up close you can't go wrong in this part of the world.

The Merchant's House is a well-preserved building located on the north side of the High Street, offering visitors a glimpse into the history of the town as an important stop on the old London-Bristol road. The 17th-century structure features oak paneling, wall paintings, and an impressive oak staircase. Visitors can explore its rich history through self-guided tours or opt for guided tours led by knowledgeable staff like Kevin, who provides valuable insights into the site's past.
We’re here from Toronto, Canada. While visiting this charming town, we decided to pop in to the Merchant’s House. Jane, the greeter, was very nice and quite helpful. It is an interesting and well put-together walk through time, allowing a glimpse of the history of the House, Marlborough, and England. Worth a visit!
Lisa Y — Google review
Rather higgledy piggledy layout which added to its charm. Beautifully laid out with festive decorations. Entrance was not clear. The £10 entrance seemed a bit steep and I wouldn't pay again to visit. There were no other visitors.
Michele — Google review
Hidden behind a nondescript door and the Historic Houses shop, is a fascinating time warp from the war. It's a small gem but filled with local history. The only downfall (could be for real), would be the stairs, which are not for those with mobility issues. The stair lift was out of action when we visited.

Interesting house from 1654 and collection of furniture of the same period. Sympathetic restoration in progress.

The Marlborough White Horse is an iconic historical symbol located near a church, with a pleasant pathway for leisurely strolls. In case the designated parking area is inaccessible, an alternative space can be found beside the prominent School House.
Lovely walk over the hills , amazing view of Marlborough- well worth a walk.
Matt — Google review
Firstly, as at August 2024 the Marlborough White Horse is becoming overgrown and seemingly not cared for. A big shame. Quite a disappointment actually. Marlborough White Horse, also called the Preshute White Horse, is a hill figure on Granham Hill, a fairly shallow slope of the downland above the hamlet of Preshute, just outside Marlborough. The Marlborough horse lies in the grounds of Marlborough College and is the smallest horse in Wiltshire. It was cut into the hill in 1804 by a group of school boys. The design was created by pupil, William Canning. Many far off views of the horse are obstructed by trees, as the grounds of the college are quite wooded. You can get a good view from the footpath running from Preshute House to the A345 road ... once get onto the college sportsgrounds. The horse is 62 feet long by 47 high, and it has become thinner since the early twentieth century. It was restored again in September 2001, when it was re-chalked. It’s worth a visit if you’re visiting the Wiltshire White Horses. It’s been on our list to visit for a while. That is the last of them ticked off now.
Stu L — Google review
The horse is only a short walk outside of Marlborough but it isn't easy to get to it and it's pretty overgrown and hard to see at the minute. Decent place for a picnic.
Douglas S — Google review
Set in one of the richest locations in Wiltshire but the worse kept of all the White Horses
Rory W — Google review
Horse is pretty overgrown but it’s there.
Jessica S — Google review
A bit disappointing - it probably was white once but it certainly isn't nowadays but at least it is fenced off to preserve it.
Gareth S — Google review
Best place to see it is from the graham cl walking path south of the kennet River. There is even a walking path that makes it possible to walk up near it.

Not easy to see from the road, best to park in Marlborough & walk through the churchyard round the tennis courts

Pizza restaurant
Pizza Express in Marlborough is a charming chain pizzeria that offers more than just quick bites; it’s an inviting venue perfect for family gatherings. With chefs donning striped t-shirts tossing handmade pizzas, the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Although it may appear small from the outside, step inside to discover a spacious dining area that opens up at the back—almost like stepping into a Tardis! The staff here truly elevate your experience; they are friendly, attentive, and eager to assist.
Firstly, Jonny is a fantastic server with a friendly smile, positive attitude and a fab sense of humour, so please pass on our thanks to them. We came here on a busy Saturday night, but were accommodated in a quieter area of the restaurant which was lovely. Service was quick, friendly and when we got confused with the app, Jonny answered our questions to the best of their knowledge. Food was delicious. We both had the Fiorentina pizza - Which always brings back memories from childhood as we have eaten here on several occasions over the past 10-12 years and we always had the Fiorentina when I was a teen. I'm so glad the recipe hasn't changed. Yum!! The egg was perfectly runny! Will definitely be back. Great place with a great bunch of staff to match the vibe.

Becky B — Google review
Nice food lovely waitress. We were a large party and were made very welcome, we pre ordered our food so everything ran very smoothly. Everyone wanted to pay for their own food at the end which is not uncommon, a service charge was added to the bill of £43 which instead of adding 10% on to each person who paid the last person paying had to foot the bill! This needs to be more clear and fair to everyone to ensure customers return as it has put us all off!
Stefan D — Google review
Wow. Just wow. From minute one the atmosphere and smell of this restaurant was impeccable. Food yes. Service yes. When one of our pizzas hit the floor, a replacement was offered as priority one. It’s hard to name our favourite employee who helped us to day but if i had to narrow it down I would have to say either Jaz, Johnny, Remi, Linette or Amanda. Will return asap

Tessa B — Google review
Went for dinner in the evening and sat at the front near the windows. Overall the service was incredibly slow! Another customer who was there with her young daughter also commented on how slow the service was saying, “they’re always under staffed here”. Finally got our food which was nice but the pizza I ordered was meant to have salad in the middle but it was just a LOT of rocket. No other salad at all which I didn’t think was right. Asked a staff member and he said, sorry must be a mistake in the kitchen, it’s meant to have some spinach leaves too. The menu said, “salad”, which I’m sure most people would assume should contain more than just rocket and/or a few spinach leaves. Overall the food was good and service was friendly but far too slow for somewhere that wasn’t even busy. I felt they prioritised takeaway orders, leaving diners waiting a long time for their food and drinks.

We had the most wonderful afternoon tea in Krumbz cafe this afternoon. Delicious freshly made sandwiches, scones and a variety of fruit and selection of small cake . Lots of hot tea refreshed as we required . I would highly recommend. Must be pre-booked . Great value for money too.

First occasion to visit this café yesterday with friends for morning coffee. Lovely location, very friendly & pleasant staff, but the coffees were really not up to much and well below my expectation. This was also the case with the scones , although I heard no complaints about the cakes ! Nevertheless, seemed very popular ,so you might want to reserve a table if you still decide give it a try. You could always have tea & cake!

Lovely cafe! Went in with the family for lunch and all of us enjoyed our sandwiches, we had big plans to have a slice of the cake afterwards but the lunch was so delicious and filling we will have to do a trip back for the cake another time 🤣 Book or arrive on the early side as it gets very busy.

The Green Dragon is a traditional inn with basic accommodations, an eatery, a recreation area, and an outdoor drinking spot. While not as popular as some neighboring establishments, it offers a relaxed atmosphere with smaller private spaces and an open-air garden. The service during weekend lunch was exceptional and amiable. The Camembert paired with onion chutney had excessive breading compared to the amount of cheese.
Fabulous stay at The Green dragon. The rooms are beautiful and the bed and bedding was incredibly comfortable. We will defo be back to stay there again when we visit Marlborough Thank you for a wonderful stay x

A bit of a tardis of a pub, traditional front bar with lots of old features, but the pub keeps going back and back. More rooms then 2 pagodas and a beer garden as long a 6 neighbouring terraced houses. It's huge. Good pints. Quirky locals at the bar during our visit, but squeeze past them and these loads to explore.

Visited with some of our ladies football team today after a less than pleasant experience at a pub just down the road. The two bar staff were very welcoming and friendly, and sorted last minute food orders for us! The food was lovely, and the pub itself is beautiful. Can’t thank the staff enough for their service today! It was very much appreciated! We will definitely return when our fixture is rescheduled! 😊

Check it out!! Stopped at this little coffee shop, very friendly staff… coffee wasn’t bad either only I offered mine to the homeless person after a couple of sips who was sat under the arch just before the high street! He said he really liked the coffee, so I guess it was really nice!! I had no complaints from the teaspoon amount I had. Place is fairly small with a few tables, but to be honest, it’s well stocked and fairly clean. Cappuccino was £3.10 for a small and I got extra chocolate sprinkles!! Worth a visit!
