Achata Beach

Achata Beach is a picturesque spot on Karpathos, surrounded by rocky mountains and accessible by car. Beautiful pebble beach and great for swimming. Sunbeds with an umbrella 20€ and friendly staff that is keeping the beach very clean.
Really nice, calm waters. You can find shade and avoid spending money for the sun beds. There is also a canteen, which doesn’t play music, so it’s quite as well.
You have to get there early in the morning if you want to find a sun bed. Great beach with some caves to explore
This beach is one of the highlights of Karpathos, it is very beautiful, worth to visit and chill, there is plenty of space. In addition there is a path close to the church before get to the beach which leads you on the mountain where there is fantastic view of the beach! It's a nice place of taking pictures too!
Nice beach, very secluded and peaceful. There is one one super small taverna right on the beach. The winding road going down is ok, but it is very narrow. Sunbeds are 20 euros for the day - I paid 15 because I was alone (June 2024). Not windy at all. Sun goes down between 5 and 6 pm. Wait until everyone is gone before going away! It is most beautiful when there is no one (and the drive uphill will be easier!). Probably the most picturesque beach. I gave it 4 stars just because of the pebbles. I love pebbled beaches, but here they are on the large side - they’re more like stones. If you are barefoot it might hurt a bit. Kyra Panagia has smaller pebbles. The beach is about 25 minutes from Panagia.

Good for snorchling (swim to the next bay on the right!). Sunbeds, Umbrellas, shower and free parking is available.
Rock with the greek flag is a "must-climb"!

Beautiful beach, but the sunbed concession has spread fully across the beach, leaving little space for people who don't want to rent. They even set up sunbeds under the shade of the trees, so regular beach goers couldn't use it! Hopefully one day, these places will get regulated better.

Thalassa is a restaurant located in Karpathos, offering Greek classics as well as options like steak. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of the Parasol Luxury Suites. The restaurant provides a pleasant dining experience with friendly staff and delicious food, including fresh fish and top-quality rib eye steaks. Guests can also enjoy the lovely garden area, adding to the overall ambiance of the place.
This restaurant is absolutely lovely and beautifully designed. They have a stunning courtyard in the back, but the front area is just as charming with a warm and inviting interior even though you might not expect it from the outside.
Parking is super easy, with convenient spots available right across the street if you're coming by car. The food is delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and talkative, making you feel right at home. They present their daily specials on a board next to the menu, which adds a nice personal touch, and their wine selection is very nice.
Definitely a place I’d recommend—an absolute must-visit!

I decided to try this place because I'd read good reviews of this.
The dinner did not disappoint me, the Greek food is usually good, but this one, for me, just lacked a heart.
I had Dolmades for starters and then one of the daily dishes for the main course.
Everything was good and I recommended you to try this place, I really do! But for me, it just left me wanting something more. Not more food, there was plenty of that, but just that extra something.
The complimentary dessert was really tasty. Some yogurt and sauce, and it was delicious!
The service was good, not great, but good.
But, I do recommend to go and find out yourselves. The atmosphere was really nice, it wasn't crowded at the time I was there (around 7-8 pm.) and the menu looked great and a bit expensive. But, it could very well be worth it!
Dinner was delicious! Exceptional service and beautiful atmosphere.The Tsipoura was freshly prepared, grilled to perfection, accompanied by baked potato and fresh grilled vegetables. My husband had the freshly cooked sea bass which was moist and seasoned beautifully while our son’s Filet Mignon dish was pure perfection-juicy, melt-in-your-mouth, bursting with rich flavors. The combination of fresh seafood and expertly prepared meat shows the chef’s incredible skill!

Perfekt place for a romantic night with amazing food. It is a little diamond outside the main city. We went here 3 times during our vacation, and came back to get the tuna tartar. All the other meals we tasted, was amazing, and the staff was very sweet! The restaurant had an amazing atmosphere and is so beautiful during the late night hours. This place is a must try place if u are here in Karpathos!!!
What can I say about this place, this restaurant brings all the flavours of the island, land and sea that leaves your taste buds amused and always wanting to come for more. I greatly recommend to everyone that wants be pleased and especially with an impeccable service with lots of smiles.
My favorite restaurant in Kárpathos town over the past year! The food is top quality — the tuna tartare is incredibly fresh and among the best I’ve ever had in my life. Every dish is clearly crafted by a professional chef with many years of experience.
The service is outstanding, with polite and attentive staff. The atmosphere is warm, and the chic décor adds to the overall experience.

Thalassa offers a really nice atmosphere with plenty of space between the tables, making it easy to enjoy your meal in peace. The cozy backyard adds to the relaxed vibe and makes for a lovely evening setting. The food was both flavorful and reasonably priced – truly great value for money. The staff were incredibly kind and very service-minded, which made the experience even better. All in all, it’s definitely a place I would return to.

Appetizers were good but the main courses were bland. Ordered the fillet mignon, croquettes, Greek salad, garlic bread. The appetizers were amazing, very delicious and seasoned well. Absolutely 10/10 for the appetizers, my favorite was the fried croquettes.
The steak was bland, had the taste and feel of boiled beef. Under seasoned, no salt or any flavor. Fun experience to try but the filet mignon was not my favorite.
The best restaurant in town! From the moment I stepped in I feel welcome here. As a solo traveler you don’t always feel welcome in restaurants (they tend to forget you) but not in Antama. Everyone is so nice and the food is really amazing! I had one of the best fish and they serve the best moussaka. I like that it’s not big and the ambiance is cosy! Came back the next day and will come back here during my stay!

The best and most authentic place to eat in pigadia. We went here 3 times during our stay, and every time was great. Food is amazing, service is great, relaxed and helpful and the atmosphere with dining under a huge vine plant with a view to the kitchen is amazing. I highly recommend this place!

It is a cute place in a quiet street. The food is amazing made with fresh products. The cooker and the waiter are very kind and at the end of the meal they look forward to speak to the people. The place is beautiful.

This is very charming. Very professional service and hand touches of a french restaurant in it’s style. Best food I found in pigadia and a lot cheaper then other restaurants. Could go here every day. , sip local wine in a tiny taverna, and wander through charming streets full of color and smiles. Don’t forget a small souvenir ,maybe olive oil, a hand-painted mug, or a bright scarf with a Greek touch.

We went here just on chance as a "last-minute" trip to get some sun, so worth it! Really calm town, walkingdistance to everything in Karpathos city (same as Pigadia) cozy tavernas, some bars, minimarkets. If you want to party, switch island to Rhodos, this island is purely relax and good food. Rentals everywhere, both cars and scooters to get around the island for daytrips. Can reccomend a daytrip to Olympos, cool mountainvillage. I probably wont come back here, but it was totaly worth a visit for a romantic week with my girl!

the second biggest island of the Dodecanese, Karpathos. 4 ancient cities, a real pirate village, 75 easy accessible beaches, traditional villages where the costume is still in use in everyday life, forests, the tallest mountain in Dodecanese, amazing food, fresh fish and so many activities. You think you have experienced Greek islands before but when you visit Karpathos, you realise you havent experienced it before!

We spent a week at this hotel.
Breakfast was terrible: no croissants, only prepackaged biscuits, very little choice of food available, orange juice tasting like water.
We paid for a direct sea view room and asked for an upper floor one.
We were given a ground floor room with only a partial sea view.
Rooms did not have any shampoo or amenities, bed linen has been changed only twice and the same for the bathroom towels which were changed only twice in a week !
The waiting staff were very nice though !!!

A lovely, peaceful, bright hotel with many colourful flowers, lovely smells from spice bushes like rosemary in a beautiful valley. Our room felt brand new, spatious and elegant. Bed very comfortable. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. They bought special gluten free bread and oat milk for us. It was very relaxing to read books by the pool by night. Great cocktails and nice food. We aimed for the pebbles beaches so this hotel was perfect for that. We love our little beach where we encountered many colourful fish as we snorkeled. Water was amazing. Great tavernas in the area. Very easy to get to the city if you need bigger super markets or want to stroll in new places. We will definately return.
Beautiful small beach. Try to arrive early if you want a umbrella with beds. Ideal for kids, the water is shallow for a long time and the beach + seafloor is sand!
3 stars and a half. We had a great time but some aspects of the hotel should be improved. The hotel is rather old and especially the bathrooms are in need of renovation : lousy shower curtain that does not protect from water spill, no way to hang the shower head. Beds in a double room are not double, they are single beds put side by side. The coffee in the machine for breakfast is dreadfully disgusting.

Damatria Beach is a vast natural swimming pool with clear water, surrounded by an indescribable landscape. It's the perfect place for relaxation, with only the sound of the sea and wind to accompany you. The absence of bars or taverns makes it necessary to bring your own provisions if staying for the day.
After visiting most of the beaches in Karpathos, we decided that this one was the most iconic by far. There are plenty sun-beds but there is still space for your towel if you prefer this, especially after 5pm when sun isn’t that strong anymore. The water is crystal clear, turquoise and clean. Do not miss!

So 4 stars are just because this beach has amazing color of the water, and that is all. Wind here is unbearable, I think of all the beaches, wind here was strongest. And there are small fish and crabs in the water that will sting you, so it is not possible to stand too long in the water. Water is shallow and warm-ish, but that doesn’t mean much, because wind will make you feel cold. Still, ok to visit once. Road to get here is ok.

Visited at the end of September and this beach was our favourite (we visited all top beaches). There were over all maybe 20 visitors, water was so calm and atmosphere relaxed. Water was clear and shallow with sandy bottom. You could order drinks and snacks from taverna with QR code delivered to your umbrella. Beach itself is very narrow and with stones. I can only imagine that in high season this beach is probably very over crowded and not that pleasant.
Must see beach, blue water. The beach is rocky but the waters is sandy.
After visiting couple of beach’s we decided that this is the best one: soft sand, incredible clear water and amazing colors, not very windy, also quite place (not many people). Keep in mind: there is no bathroom or bar/tavern.
Very beautiful beach with crystal clear water and beautiful scenery. Pebbles/stones surface. The beach is not very big so it gets quickly crowded in high season. Very annoying the fact that almost the entire beach is covered by umbrellas (as in manu beaches in the south)

The best place in town – hands down!
To Perasma is an absolute gem in Karpathos. We’ve eaten at many places in town, but nothing compares to this experience! The authentic Greek food tastes homemade and prepared with love – just like grandma would make (if she were Greek 😉). Everything is fresh, honest, and full of flavor.
The service is outstanding – friendly, attentive, and warm without being overbearing. You truly feel welcome from the moment you step in.
The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, with a great mix of locals and travelers. You can tell this place means something to people – and it shows.
To Perasma isn’t just a restaurant – it’s an experience.
We’ll definitely be back, and we recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of real Karpathos.

We went twice for dinner. The people were always welcoming and their food was absolutely amazing. A bit expensive for some dishes as it’s a touristy area but the dishes were absolutely delicious. Beef souvlaki was top. Thanks for your hospitality
We visited To Perasma four times during our 14-day stay on Karpathos and every single visit was outstanding.
The location is perfect: just a 5-minute walk from our hotel, tucked away from downtown Pigadia. That means no loud crowds or screaming kids. Just a peaceful setting with the sound of their wonderful selection of Greek music. The food is fresh, flavorful, and prepared with so much care. We tried a variety of dishes, and every single one was absolutely delicious. Don’t miss the apple salad!
What truly makes To Perasma special is the atmosphere and the people. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. They made us feel at home every time we returned.
To Perasma is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience you’ll remember long after your holiday. We cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely return whenever we come back to Karpathos.

We ate some grilled octopus as an appetiser to share, which was fresh, really tender and savoury, would recommend.
We also ate beef souvlaki (day’s special plate) and tuna steak. The beef was really tasty and soft, it was accompanied by some rice, some fries and a little salad.
The tuna was fresh and well cooked, and it was too accompanied by rice and fries.
They also offered us some fresh watermelon on the house.
The atmosphere was very pleasant, the music wasn’t loud and it was typical.
The waiters were all really nice and kind, and they also offered to take away the restaurant’s cat if it bothered us.
The prices were fair for such good quality products and for such a great service, I definitely recommend and I would come again before my departure!
We felt very welcomed already as we entered the restaurant. The service was very fast, excellent ingredients, big portions as well. All our questions regarding the food were answered, also regarding vegetarian alternatives. We got fresh melons and shots on the house! Come by, if you are around, it‘s definitely worth it.

Arogant owner with unacceptable attitude towards customers. He reacts like a "landlord" of the beach, using violent speech in front of small children. He is the greatest drawback of the otherwise great beach.

It's not a taverna anymore but a nice small beach bar where you can have a drink and a sandwich or salade for lunch.

For a beachside taverna, this is top quality. Delicious chicken, drinks, and welcomed shade. Great service as well! You can take the food to your chair on the beach if you ask ahead of time and he will whistle when your food is ready.
Okay. But one feels bad vibration. The best table is occupied the whole day by the staff.

Nice greek tavern in the total centre of pigadia. Food was good, but not exceptional. Service staff was speaking german and english. There are better restaurants on the island, but the prices are very fair. So if you are looking for an nice and affordable meal, this is your place.

Very good food and great service. The grilled calamari took about 40 minutes but was worth the wait, very very good and the waitress informed that it would take some time to prepare it. A small bay mostly unattended(a few sunbeds and umbrellas available on the left side for 15€) with some of the best waters for snorkeling in greece.You can leave your car in the small parking above. The seabed is made of pebbles(no sand to be found here) steep, going up to 4-5 depth with plenty of rocky formations to explore underwater. The water is crytal clear, almost no waves since this is a small cove with shoals of fish. Watch out for the lion fish!
It tend to get crowded after 10 11 in the morning so get up early and go for a swim.bring your own food and drinks.

Me and my wife had been too all beaches on the island east and west. Kastellia beach was the one we liked the most. There are rocks where toy can dive and see different kind of fishes in the pure colored water.
These are two small beached on either side of the new build house. One via the concrete path and one down the road on the back side of the Castelia Bay hotel. Both are great to relax and snorkle and dive.

I have found this place by chance during a mornimg run. It is unmarked and looks like a common cave when you are on the road. Before knowing the real name of a place I through it was a former place where goat shepherds used to sleep
Worth a visit, and it is very near the road, with a path leading up a steep incline and some steps to arrive at an archaic portal to the cave. The site is not well maintained. There was no signage, and access is not controlled, therefore tickets or reservations are not required.
You can find it with easily with Google maps and the visit takes 10 minutes. You climbe the stares and you enjoy the view. I have visited it just after sunrise

I’m sure these appetizers were the best in Pigadia. Same goes for the tomahawk pork chop which was juicy and tender! The wines were solid too! And the owner didn’t cheap out! Even got us tasting portions off other traditional Greek dishes!

The entire meal and experience were simply a minus.

This is a gyros place near the beach and it's open from 11.30 am until 17.30 pm - at least those were the opening hours in June 2025. Google may say otherwise.
The gyros plate with salad and tsatsiki, that was my special order. I usually eat gyros with salad. And it was really a big portion, the price was 13.50 euros.
And I like to eat a lot when I'm eating so that's saying something. The tsatsiki at that time was too salty, though, but I enjoyed it, nevertheless.
That was my first visit to El Greco and it was fairly empty at that time. Everything went really smoothly, the service was really good, no complaints.
However, the second time I visited El Greco it was clearly a rush hour so I had to wait a long time for a drink and then even longer for the Gyros Pita. Then again, there was only one waitress and I think one cook so, I believe they worked as fast as they could.
I still think they could've handled the drinks faster, maybe bring some water. And, as I was alone, I was last to be served even though I had been there before the couples/families.
I mentioned it, of course, and they were really sorry about it. They just didn't notice me because of all the fuss. Which I completely understand.
The gyros pita was great! The price was about 5 euros and in this dish the tsatsiki was fine! Okay, it won't take away your hunger (I didn't take the bread they were serving) if you fancy big meals like I do, but it was enough to wait for dinner time.
I do recommend this place, the service was really good, just don't go there if there are a lot of people waiting to be served.
You can also have a takeaway, if you like. Just check the tsatsikia before you go out and about your day. I really like some salt in tsatsiki, but on my first visit, it was too much. The second, it was perfect.

For day 3, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Chapel Of Agia Fotini, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Aperi. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Don't expect much from the tourist "attraction". But spend a few minutes at sunrise. There's a door on the fence, you can go in for free.
Wild sheep live on Karpathos. Although they have no natural predators, they hide in inaccessible cliffs.

We chose the Scuba Diving Discovery at Karpathos Diving Center because it was our very first diving experience. During my first dive I felt panic, but the way the team handled it was nothing short of amazing. They took the time to personally guide me, step by step, with so much professionalism and care.
What could have turned into a negative memory was transformed into something incredibly positive — thanks to them. In fact, it was such a good experience that we immediately booked another dive later that same week. With their guidance and support, I was even able to complete the full course the second time!
I am beyond grateful to the whole team. They are professional, patient, and at the same time make you feel welcome with friendly conversations and genuine kindness. They truly give you the feeling that you are in safe hands.
This was a 10/10 experience and I would recommend Karpathos Diving Center to absolutely everyone — whether it’s your first dive ever or you’re looking for a new adventure.

Before the dive we spoke with Alexandra who answered every question and was as professional as possible.

The water is so clear! Great experience with Karpathos Diving--my first time with scuba in the Mediterranean. Nick was our very competent dive master as we explored Kastelia Reef. As a novice PADI open water diver, I at no point felt uncomfortable or unsafe. Would do again!

We dived from the shore of a small bay along gently sloping rocky seabed. Water's clear around the island so visibility was awesome. I enjoyed watching both white rock formations and rather moderate flora and fauna.

Really Good and compact museum, and I'm saying this, because I'm not the kind of guy that reads the information boards, but here I did. The history of Karpathos in 3 rooms, divided in 3 Time zones with different artefacts and even a reconstruction of a grave. The Rooms are cooled so you can enjoy your stay
İt's a very small museum with only 3 small rooms as there no many archeological founds on the island. Anyway, still it's interesting if you like archeology.
The entrance fee is 3€
We are in the middle of the tourist season but this museum was closed yesterday, it was closed today and it will be closed tomorrow. Karpathos doesn't really has much more to offer than its fine beaches but these can be found all over Greece. I think it's a real shame to have the museum closed that often!
Nice collection from bronze age till the late middle ages. Not a huge museum but it's at a reasonable price (3€). Great program for the hot midday hours.

The rented apartment was immaculate, very modern furnished and freshly cleaned every day. It is located in Pigadia, very close to all the restaurants and bars but still in a quite little street. We even got fresh towels every day and even the bed linen were changed several times. But most of all we were happy about the wonderful hospitality, we got several times fresh fruit or home-baked trifles as a gift. The owners are just friendly and accommodating and even gave us a picture as a souvenir at the end. Awesome, thanks again for that!!!
We stayed for 3 nights and everything was perfect. Very clean rooms. Big modern rooms and nicely location in the city, but at the same time completely quiet and peaceful. The host and the mother are both really nice and made sure we had a perfect stay. Will be happy to return

Food was fine but the service wasn't worth it. To be fair, we were 9 guests but 2 dishes came to the table about 15 min. After the others and one was forgotten. We did get the last dish a few minutes after we told them and a discount of 18 € in the end but all in all, a bit strange evening eating in there sections...
The whole area there has the sweet smell of sewage. End of story.
The dishes are reminders of a cooking reality show. Lots of fanfare, matched by the low quality of the raw materials. And yes over priced, of course, they are selling its location dearly plus they must make up for the losses of the 9 months they underwork.
This is a very special restaurant with exellent, high class food beyond expectations for a small greek island. The service is very good. They make the customers feel very welcome.

My husband and I just ate at the Sea Zone for the second day in a row and we weren't disappointed. This restaurant is without doubt the best on Karpathos. The chef uses the best ingredients available and cooks everything to perfection, whilst also adding a modern twist to the Greek classics that are served. Front of House are two incredibly friendly and hardworking brothers who own the restaurant. Their passion for quality and hospitality is obvious, but not overbearing. We will be back!

Food is pretty good, probably my favorite spot in Pigadia. Not sure why, but this place is the only place that seasons their food well in Pigadia.

We are Greek American tourists that have been coming to karpathos every year. We usually always go to UNO, however this was our last time. The owner of the restaurant is intolerant of toddlers and gave our table many dirty looks. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. The food was mediocre and expensive. If you have a family you are better off going to Ciao, where they are much nicer.
Lovely place to eat at the harbor. To start we had saganki to share. After that we shared a large pizza special. When asking for the bill we received a limoncello from the house. Lovely food, kind service. Recommended.
Entered the place to eat as our family eats at least 2-3 times a week and the orders are considered.
It was around 10:50PM and the place had at least 4-5 tables open besides the tables inside.
We wanted to seat on the outside of the establishment at a table of four. Insidenty there were 2 tables right next to each other if he wanted to make that a table of four.
His decision was very unprofessional in two ways .
1. He did not properly access the situation
2. He continued to talk in front of greek customers thinking, I did not understand him.

Very nice restaurant close to main strip. Genuine Greek dishes cooked with care and perfection.
Varied menu. Great food. Nice pretty calm atmosphere despite only one block away from the busy street. I enjoyed several dishes including the roasted lamb and another meat stew in a carrot with mashed potatoes. The kids loved the Parmesan chicken (huge portion!). Five stars!
Nice restaurant at the back alley of the city. We had tzatsiki + garlic bread, pork souvlaki, grilled fish of the day + sides on the busy sunday evening. Vegetarian risotto was not available, and the waiter was really sorry about it. Everything was good and we waited around 25 minutes for the main dishes. Starters and drinks came quickly tho. We also got complimentary raki shots for desert! Prices were okay, a bit cheaper than elsewhere in the center. Big beer mythos 3,9 €.
Absolutely loved this place! We had the moussaka, risotto, and bougiourdi — and every single dish was spot on.
The risotto was honestly one of the top 10 I’ve ever had — so creamy and full of flavor. The moussaka was just perfect, total comfort food done right. And the bougiourdi… wow, that was stupendous! Spicy, cheesy, and addictive.
We were so happy we chose to dine at Mike’s Restaurant. We got the real traditional Greek family dining feel. Niko was our server at this family owned restaurant named after his grandfather. The appetizers, moussaka, seafood spaghetti were so delicious that we wanted to try their dessert too! And so glad we did because the baklava was unforgettable. We were touched by the many details that made our experience special, including the fresh baked warm bread. The restaurant is located on a quiet side street surrounded by beautiful flowers. We will definitely return on our next visit.

Nestled in the charming town of Pigadia, Sardeles is a delightful beachfront restaurant that offers an inviting atmosphere just 1.7 km from the port. With sun loungers lining the beach, it’s an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a meal at any time of day, from breakfast through late evening.
We have eaten over here everyday, sometimes twice a day.

Sardeles is a really nice place in Pigadia, about 1,7 km from the port. It's situated by the beach, having loungers on the beach and also a really nice restaurant, which I think is open from breakfast until late evening.
I had one pizza there, it was quite good, and then I had Shakshouka for breakfast one morning and it was really delicious!
They had very interesting options in the menu, like Greek Fusion type of things but, unfortunately, I didn't have time to indulge these. My friend, though, went there after I'd recommend the place and the picture of the tapas plate was really nice and, according to them, really good!
So, if you're looking for a nice day at the beach in Pigadia and decide having brekkie/lunch/tapas/dinner, and you're staying close by, I wouldn't think twice.
This is a good choice.

Unfortunately this place missed the mark with almost every aspect of what people go out to eat for. The beach is close and that's the only nice thing about it. We ordered a mocktail and lemonades, all were entirely too sweet. For appetizers we ordered the fries and tzatziki. For meals we ordered the fried calamari, California chicken sandwich with side Greek salad, and a margherita pizza. The quality of the food was poor, from the start to the end of our meal. The biggest issue we had was the calamari. It had an awful smell and the taste was just as bad, along with it being very tough and overcooked. We asked that the calamari be taken from the bill because something was wrong with it, they refused! A woman came over and didn't even introduce herself. She began asking us what was wrong with the calamari. She didn't want to hear what we thought and would've rather argued than taken the constructive criticism. There are too many restaurants serving quality food and service on Karpathos for Sardeles to be worth going to. To the manager: you should be striving to be better! To potential costumers: If you're looking for an authentic Kárpathos experience, avoid this place. Everything is imported, nothing is fresh and the server will say everything's delicious no matter what. They have no care for the customer and don't care what you eat as long as you pay the bill!
A good tavern by the beach. Went there to have dinner, ordered Greek salad, Seafood platter and beers. The seafood platter was huge (fried small shrimps, fish balls, fish fingers, fries, fried calamari, and fried sardines). All was delicious, and the staff was so nice, at the end of the meal we were served watermellon.
I really really recomend this place!!!

Ahata Cave is a hidden gem that offers an enchanting escape with its stunning blue-green waters and smooth pebbles. Nestled in a serene bay surrounded by rugged rock formations, this beach is enveloped by breathtaking natural beauty. The crystal-clear water showcases mesmerizing emerald hues, making it perfect for a refreshing dip. While the beach can get busy during peak season, it remains tranquil in the off-peak months, allowing visitors to unwind amidst nature's splendor.
Amazing beach. Only 20 minutes from Karpathos main centre. Water is nice and refreshing and super clean. Loved it. There are beach beds you can hire which cost around 20 euro each but we chose to lay our towels on the pebbles which were quite comfortable.

Very interesting cave to explore. You can enter the cave by swimming and crawl out from the end of the cave. The beach was also beautiful.

About a hundred umbrellas but very calm and a lovely taverna!
Watch out for the beach umbrella renter on this beach. He's a mobster with a South American accent, blocking shady areas with his chairs to force you to rent his umbrellas in the sun. He's threatening and insulting! He's a real petty thug. What's more, as usual, the 4-meter distance between the water and the umbrellas is not respected.

Oros Kali Limni offers a rewarding climb to the summit, with a mix of flat and stony steep paths that require good footwear. Along the way, hikers can enjoy the company of goats and experience windy conditions. The trail is well-marked with red spots, making it easy to follow. The ascent provides stunning views at the top, showcasing beautiful landscapes and vibrant colors.
Wonderful scenery, about 70minutes hike up with a steady pace. Takes an hour to return. 2lt of water per person if done during high heat season. The path is marked with red spots. There are some trees offering shade about 40 minutes en route for the top. Mobile service missing or not stable during the hike / possible to get signal at random points of the trail not far from the top point at the time of visit. You will find a variety of herbs and plants on the way up.

Nice hike from taverna kali limni to the peak. Takes about 1-1.5 hours up (470 vertical metres). Path is easy but good shoes are recommended. Bring water (min. 1 Litre)! When windy or cloudy, it gets chilly at the peak. Stunning view from the top in all directions (from airport to profitis ilias / olympos).
It took us 1.5 hour to the top and 50 minutes to return. The last meters was quite uphill.
Mount Kali Limni is the highest peak of Dodecanese (1215 m).
The trail is almost always clear and often marked on the rock with black and red spots. It's 2.7 km long, with 500 m of uphill.
Keep in mind that there Is no water, and the weather can be very hot of it's not windy.
The view from the top is just astonishing.
The hike is easy enough. A lot of fun. I did it in 1h5m in sandals.

Taverna Kali Limni - Kali Kardiá is a traditional Greek tavern located at the base of the highest mountain on the island, offering an awesome view from the highest point. The road to get there may be challenging, but the breathtaking views make up for it. Visitors have raved about their delicious food, including chicken in lemon juice, sausages, vegetable stew, and pork stifado with homemade rice. The friendly staff and pleasant management add to the overall experience.
Really a lifesaver after any hike (or attempt thereat) up the Καλή Λίμνη mountain. Oasis of peace and calm and rest in a location that could otherwise be on an other planet. Had mezes and (lots of) water as it was still quite early. Especially the Karpathian macarounes were really nice; the way the onion complemented the pasta really made sense.

Spectacular Drive on very narrow bitumen road with fantastic views. One hour walk each way from Taverna. Nice simple meals and small rooms available at Taverna hosted by Thanassis
I had one of the best and most fresh Greek salads ever🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Unfortunately service was taken care of by three persons who were far from what I would consider welcoming and enthusiastic about their guests.
The taverna is absolutley amazing, although the road to get there was quite gut-wrenchin, but if was drivable and the views made up for it. We came there to eat twice and both times we were blown away. The chicken in lemon juce was the best, but we also enjoyed the sausages and the vegetable stew. The pork stifado was quite good aswell and they gave us some pretty good karpathian baklavas for desert. They also had really nice service.
Very good, traditional Greek food which tasted excellent after the hike up to Kali Limni. Pleasant management and good service. Had a good raki as well!!!

We had a fantastic time at this place. We were going to Lastos mainly to climb Kali Limni with my child and when arrived there we got to meet Manolis and Maria, a very friendly and kind young couple in charge of the business who advised us on how to get on the path. We spent our lunch time there. Food was delicious and atmosphere very relaxing, on this beautiful plateau. They have also rooms to rent, defintely a place we will stay on our next visit. One of the most authentic and welcoming places we've seen in Karpathos so far
