I arrived at just after noon on a great afternoon. Staff was great, basic cheeseburger was great, seating was right next to river, and espresso was very smooth. House red wine went well with the burger.

We waited for an hour in a dining area with multiple screaming children, for a burger & salad with chicken. Then we were told they were out of chicken. So we left without eating. In response to the owners response: Our order may have been taken at 1:45 but we waited a long time for our order to be taken. It results in overpaying on basic things you find cheaper in other places, like salads and rice. So in the end you end up with mediocre meal, but got to pay up to 15-20€ for it.

El entorno había sufrido un fuego, pero aún así se observan restos de basura y comederos de gatos en el mismo monumento. Una pena. Hubiera puesto 5 estrellas.

We had lunch and then returned for dinner. A charming place, good service, delicious leitão, and homemade desserts. Portuguese wine. We'll be back.

Wow!!!! What incredible food and service! This husband and wife team has knocked it out of the park in literally every way. We had a starter, two entrees and dessert and everything tasted amazing. Great wine and beer. Very attentive and generous service...not to mention having views of the castle during dinner. Highly recommend, you won't regret it.

Very tiny cozy place. Tables for 2 or 4. Cute. Menu super small. 2-4 options for “meat” and “fish” and another 2-4 for small side dish like bread and cheese. Kinda forces your hand to choose between the cheapest option “prego no Prato” (small thin steak with rice & egg) and something around 35 euros for leitao. I got the prego no Prato. Steak was fine. Rice and potato chips had zero seasoning. Opens at 7pm.

Great atmosphere and wonderful service. Local dishes served with flair and great presentation. Owner and his wife go above and beyond to make the experience amazing. We will be back next time we travel to Northern Portugal.

Recommend the Filet Mignon here, with lovely smooth potato: incredible. Pork nice too but watch out for the bones! "Chips" actually means "crisps" in English ... but they were tasty 😎 3 course+wine ~€90.

A wonderful place to enjoy the local cusine with unique views of the castle. The dishes are prepared with passion and the staff are very kind.

Very nice place to have dessert. If you like crepes and waffle with neteller and looking for a place to relax then this is the place you have to visit in Cheves. Very busy place and the price is reasonable.

Capoachino was good, but they had no idea whatsoever on how to make a hot chocolate. The drink we received was like a warm mousse.

Yummy Nutella crepes! Hot coffee! All for less than 4 euros each.

If you want ice cream, this is the place in the city. I'm a ice cream fanatic cleanness you even have ice cream with Crepes and Waffles you have to try this place very addicted

Industrialist ice cream. Typical taste. Service manager lacks respect, first demanding 4 elderly to leave the table for other customers, then telling them they misunderstood him, as he was just asking if they’d like to have anything more. Clearly a disrespectful lie as they were not finished with their drinks. Full house with a lot of tables constantly in rotation. No reason to agitate elder local people having a good time. This site won’t see me again.

It felt more like a sports bar(went at night) but it is family friendly. The crepes are delicious!

Great place to have a coffee and a crepe. Good service and crepes. Willing to come back
