Simply stunning. It's hard to believe this is still a private residence and not some sort of government building or museum, as many of the old villas have become over time. This is Roman opulence at its finest. It's worth taking the bus trip from Rome to Frascati just to peer through the gates. The surrounding town is steeped in equal amounts of history as the villa, so it's a wonderful day out

Although you can't enter the villa itself, the grounds are definitely worth exploring. Make your way behind the villa and you will find some lovely fountains and sculptures. Then keep going up the hill towards a very large park. From the front of the villa there is a great view of Rome in the distance.

Unfortunately the villa was not open for visit. The building is beautiful but could use some maintenance and a new paint job. Nice view over the valley up to Rome and the vatican!

From the fresh flowers, the porcini mushroom, harvest table , linens and my favorite plates,it was simply a beautiful Roman restaurant. Our host knew what to order for us fettuccine with porcini then the most tender guancile ( pork cheek) we had ever eaten. I had a ravioli with a very light and tasty sauce. The red wine from the Aldobrandi estate paired perfectly with our meal. The desert was tiramisu and it was good. The cantucci with fennel liquor was a delicious finish. Highly recommend!!!

Waking up to breakfast on the villa’s top terrace, with panoramic views of Rome and the surrounding hills, was a dream. Every bite was fresh and flavorful, served with care and a view you’ll never forget. Huge thanks to the front desk staff, both day and night—they went above and beyond to make our stay seamless, offering top-tier recommendations and always greeting us with warmth. Just a few minutes away, the charming town of Frascati offered fantastic designer shopping, delicious food, and easy train access that made exploring even easier. Villa Cavalletti is a hidden gem that blends nature, history, and hospitality perfectly. We can’t wait to return!

We stayed at Villa Cavalletti for three nights at the end of September, 2023. The staff at the reception were immaculate, attentive, kindhearted, with great manners. A special thank you to Stefano and Alessandro (hope I got the names right!) you both took a great care of us like if we were your own family and you made us feel very welcome.❤️ The hotel has an absolutely stunning garden with fountains where you can spend hours just chilling. Breathtaking views from the roof terrace on level four. Our apartment was lovely and we had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable, the best mattresses we’ve ever slept on. Our apartment was attended by a housekeeper daily, beds were nicely made and fresh towels were placed in the bathroom. We enjoy our stay very much, thank you for your hospitality! ❤️

Villa Cavalletti was perfect! The views were spectacular. The breakfast and lunch were superb. The staff were very kind and even more helpful. If I am able to make it back to Italy in the future they will be on my list of places to stay!

Stopped and pointed out places of interest and even bought us some drinks even though I insisted I pay. Took us round lake Albano and into the ancient town of Castel Gandolfo. Really nice little museum, very quiet but after 3 days in Rome that was very welcome. A few notices in english but you will need google translate. Beautiful gallery space above. Absolutely worth the 3 euros it cost me.

The statue of Aphrodite is currently on display and there are quite interesting models of all the surrounding villas as well. Definitely recommend going here, it is a small exhibition but the price is less than your cup of tea.
