Nature & Parks
Parks
Seven Sisters Country Park, located in the South Downs National Park, is renowned for its stunning chalk cliffs, expansive grasslands, and picturesque river valley. This popular park offers opportunities for walking, birdwatching, and cycling. Visitors can explore the world-famous Seven Sisters chalk cliffs along the undeveloped coastline of the south coast. The park provides a mix of bustling areas and quieter spots to enjoy the breathtaking seascapes and changing landscapes.
Amazing day doing a gentle hike to this wonderful site!! Got told about this from my cousin from the US, yet I'm from London and didn't know about this. The wild ponies are a real treat. The pebble beach, the cliffs and reservoirs are beautiful. Wear good footwear the pebbles are intense. Allow 2 to 4 hours to get the most and check the forecast for the tide so you can time it to be safe enough to walk around the cliffs from the beach. Else it will not be safe enough to do this. If you can visit the Littleton Tea House nearby and do a coastal drive to Brighton. Great day out I will never forget

Situated adjacent to the English Channel, the Seven Sisters is a wonderful preservation of natural landscape on background of rich history. Getting off at Eastbourne station, we hopped on coaster bus 12X that brought us next to the entrance of the country park. The walkway is lovely with naturally carved pathways through field, grass and hills. It took us around 30 mins to reach the beach area beside the cliffs. There is a lovely hiking trail which we climbed to reach the peak of the cliff. The view from the cliff is astounding and something to cherish. Would advise to come early to spend more time wandering around, climbing the cliffs and enjoy the day. 😍😍
Khandker Q — Google review
Seven Sisters is absolutely breathtaking one of the most beautiful natural spots I’ve visited in the UK. Getting there was pretty straightforward: I took the overground from Victoria to Eastbourne, then hopped on a bus. Travel cost came to around £45 for one person. Eastbourne itself has plenty of restaurants, so it’s a good idea to eat there before heading out – there aren’t really any shops or places to grab food once you reach Seven Sisters. But that’s part of the charm; it feels untouched and purely nature’s creation. The white cliffs and the views are just stunning, well worth the trip. Highly recommend if you want a peaceful escape with incredible scenery!
Ahmmed G — Google review
It’s a MUST go but didn’t get to see much of the white cliffs on the path directly across from the Visitor Center. Great coffee at the visitor center Grab & Go. There’s a beach at the end of the 3/4 mile path. NO SERVICES OF ANY KIND. Recommend to rent a bike. It’s enormous! Saw sheep, ponies, and a variety of birds. Wish they had boat or helicopter tours.
Alba G — Google review
Fantastic place to visit. Great walks down to the sea, woodland walks, visitors centre, cafe and car parks. Perfect for birdwatching along the waterways with waders and an assortment of other birds both native and migrants. Can get very busy though.
Simon L — Google review
Great walking experience. Easy parking, though you need to pay. Be aware of fake QR code sticker's on the payment machine. I use the payment app too be safe. There's a regular bus service between Eastbourne and Brighton which stops along various points of the seven sisters walk and Nd the the walk to Newhaven. So it's very easy to catch a bus back to your car.
Chris B — Google review
Passed through while doing the South Downs Way. Beautiful area, stunning views. Definitely visit the salt marsh farmhouse cafe at the start it serves excellent coffee and cake.
Wayne M — Google review
Great hike and nature, but start early as it could take longer than expected. If you’re planning to walk from Seaford to Eastbourne, a river before the cliffs means you may need to detour inland to cross the water.

Seven Sisters

Cliff
The Seven Sisters is a series of seven stunning white chalk cliffs located in the South Downs National Park along the English Channel. It's a popular destination for walking holidays, offering picturesque views and various walking routes. One of the easiest treks is a two-mile journey from Birling Gap car park to Lookout Hill and Madjack Fuller's folly, providing breathtaking sea views.
It was a bit cold and windy, but the view was beautiful. Blue sea, golden sunshine — everything felt peaceful and relaxing. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature.
Margaret M — Google review
I loved the place. It was a big challenge for me because I am physically disabled, my heart is not good, the walk was not easy and I even climbed up the cliff. Then my hart hurt 😊 but it was worth it. We ended the day with great memories. The parking is perfect, although the difficulty is that you may have to wait a little for a free space. The buffet has a wide selection for both young and old. It is a bit expensive for us living on a normal salary. But you can handle it once. In the park you can have a picnic or lie in the grass on a huge grassy area. But the braver ones can also row. There are probably many other programs that I didn't even notice due to my limited mobility. Everyone should see what else is available. I recommend it to everyone who wants a real great adventure in an ancient land that is familiar to me 😎

What to write about this wonderful and magical place ..."peace, serenity and majesty." I love this place. ...to understand, you just need to go there!
Serenella D — Google review
I did the Seven Sisters walk with work colleagues for a charity event. The walk was challenging even for us fitter people but the views were spectacular and made all the effort climbing the steep hills worth it. I would highly recommend doing this walk and experiencing the beautiful scenery, I definitely want to go back and do it again.
Emma A — Google review
Loved it, it was such an overwhelming experience, you feel astounded by the sheer beauty of nature, had wanted to visit the place all along, was definitely worth it, roughly a 50 minute walk from the seven sisters car park and then you are met by this wonderful view:))
Meral Y — Google review
Was fantastic day for a walk. We did the whole Seven Sisters cliff and friston forest circular. There a lot of parking space at the cliffside but it is very busy (it is a popular site for tourist).
Mark A — Google review
Absolutely stunning – a must-see if you’re visiting the South Coast. The views are breathtaking, especially on a clear day. Come early and you’ll have the place almost to yourself. Perfect for a scenic walk and unforgettable photos!

The Seven Sisters Cliffs, located along the stunning Sussex coastline in southern England, are a breathtaking series of chalk cliffs that gleam brilliantly white against the deep blue of the English Channel. Carved by centuries of natural erosion, these seven undulating peaks create one of Britain’s most iconic coastal landscapes, offering sweeping panoramic views, tranquil walking trails, and a peaceful escape into nature’s beauty. Whether viewed from the beach below or the clifftop paths above, the Seven Sisters stand as a timeless symbol of England’s wild and unspoiled charm.

The Grumpy Chef, located on Broad Street, is a relaxed cafe known for its seafood dishes, light lunches, and robust wine list. Run by chef and owner Anthony Master, the restaurant offers a personable and delicious experience with warm interiors and an eclectic selection of vegetarian options. Guests can expect fantastic service as Anthony personally walks them through the menu and daily specials. The food is highly praised for its incredible taste, with generous portions at reasonable prices.
Absolute gem just 5 minutes from the Seaford Station!!! If you’re coming for a Seven Sisters Hike, I absolutely recommend this place - perfect food, beautiful presentation, nice staff. There is nothing else to say on top of this - everything was perfect. The Greedy Burger was the best one my dad has ever tried in the UK (believe me, we’ve tried a lot!) Roasted Seabass was great for a person that is obsessed with seafood - my mom really loved it. And my open sandwich was just 10/10!!!

Lovely local restaurant with delicious food. The staff are among the most friendly I have come across. Everything was very tasty. The restaurant has a nice homely vibe and is quite popular with locals and tourist alike

We went here twice. First for a coffee which was really good. Nice and hot for a cool day. We went back a few nights later for a dinner. We made a reservation as we have seen it can get a bit busy. We had the Spanish red wine which was something different but highly recommended. It wasn’t as heavy as a Merlot but not as light as a Pinot Noir. We shared three start dishes which was more than enough for two people. The portion sizes are very generous. All the dishes had good flavour and were serves beautifully. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area for any additional travel advice. Definitely worth visiting if in the area.

We visited this restaurant after reading glowing reviews, and it still managed to exceed our expectations! It’s a small, cozy place with an incredible atmosphere and absolutely outstanding food. We started with hummus and toasted bread, followed by roasted chicken for my husband and crab linguine for me. To top it off, we shared a bottle of wine—and everything was simply fantastic! The experience was so wonderful that we couldn’t resist taking a slice of cake to go. The total? Just £60—an amazing value for such a memorable meal. It was a special occasion for us, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a better place. Highly recommended!

What an absolute gem of a place. Genuinely the nicest staff I've ever dealt with! Amazing service and food. This is always my stop off point on my cycle route and it has never let me down. The service was so good that I wrote this review while having my lunch ❤️ Thank you team, you're doing amazing 😍

Stopped to grab a brunch and sat outside on a lovely sunny day. There's only three tables outside on the pavement not everyone's choice, but there plenty of seating inside. The staff are very happy friendly and helpful (even if the chef is grumpy!) and we're very attentive to our needs. We had a lovely brunch well cooked and tasty, prices are average and they have a reasonable choice with vegetarian options too. If you want a coffee snack or a bit more well worth stopping here.

Seaford Head Golf Course is a picturesque undulating downland/links style course located on the cliffs of Seaford, offering breathtaking views of the iconic Seven Sisters and the South Coast. The course, designed in 1887, is steeped in history and surrounded by a nature reserve with rare species of plants, birds, and insects. The new clubhouse features the View Restaurant and bar with panoramic views.
Love this golf course. Keep going back. Highly recommend however it is rather challenging being on the coast and very hilly. A round will take about 4½ - 5 hours with a 4 ball. They do a very nice breakfast and plenty of choice at the bar after your round.

Been a few times but this one was the better of the 3. it's busy so you need to book a tee time in advance. Beautiful view. Wear sun screen.

One of my favourite courses ive played, so many unique and challenging holes. Greens were in excellent condition. I would suggest older or handicapped golfers get a buggy as it is quite a walk up some of those hills but well worth it. Finally I would like to add that the price was very reasonable and even on a perfect cloudless day on a bank holiday the pace of play was decent too. 10/10

Really challenging course with some amazing views . £22 for the round was amazing value . A tough course for mid to high handicappers

Had lunch here today. Slight confusion as to whether ploughman's was on or off the menu, but once sorted, it was very tasty with lots of salad, apple and pickles. Lovely view on the deck - as one might expect given the name! Service was rather slow, but we weren't in a hurry. Luckily it wasn't busy.

Course in excellent condition and very reasonable rates at £26 mid week for over 60s. Views are fabulous.

Cuckmere Haven is a serene and pet-friendly riverfront beach surrounded by picturesque grasslands and cliffs. The view from Seaford Head offers a breathtaking panorama of the Coastguard Cottages, Seven Sisters Cliffs, and the meandering Cuckmere River flowing into the sea. Visitors can explore further inland at Seven Sisters Country Park to witness more of the river's journey through the countryside.
Great place to walk to, chairs and tables on balcony on top of the bay, with view of Seven Sisters right there. Teas and cakes for a comfortable break while on the trail of the local nature reserve. Also has gardens with beautiful art and sculptures of various artists available to view and buy. Will visit again. Recommended.

Beautifully scenic pebble beach and river estuary between Seaford and the first sister on the Severn Sisters hike. Flanked by the pretty Coast Guards Cottages on one side and the mighty Severn Sisters Cliffs on the other - this is a stunning, scenic stop gap if you've started at Seaford. Be mindful of the tide and times where the Cuckmere River meets the sea. You'll need to cross the river to continue across the beach and start the Severn Sisters. It's possible to wade across during low tide but at high tide the only way over is by walking in land to the bridge at the Cuckmere Inn pub. This will add on approx 45 mins - 1 hour of walking time. Its a lovely walk along the estuary on both sides of the river but the path towards the pub is narrow in places and uneven. As the trek across the cliff tops needs to be completed in daylight, be mindful of any extra time walking to and from the bridge at high tide.
Helen W — Google review
Great place to walk. Great scenic view towards the cliff. There is an alternative route where you can park your car and do less walking or walk all the way to the top of the cliff. Photos taken on mid July 2024.
Ajay R — Google review
A beautiful location and a fun spot for swimming. The current is strong enough to carry you along in either direction when the tide is coming in or going out, although either side of high tide had the strongest flow. It’s not too deep (about 6ft) and the floor is all large pebbles, just like the beach. There are no toilets or cafe though. The closest is a 30min walk back to the Seven Sisters Car Park, which is a great place to park up for the day anyway.
Marmite J — Google review
From the Seven Sisters Country Park, a pleasant 30-minute walk will take you to the beach. Once there, you can enjoy stunning views of the Seven Sisters cliffs from below. For an even more breathtaking perspective, hike to the top. Gazing out at the vast sea from above is an incredibly soothing experience that uplifts the spirit."
Katy Y — Google review
We drove south from London to Seaford and from there to the parking area for Cuckmere Haven. The entire family enjoyed the panoramic views of the chalk white cliffs, ocean and wild flowers blooming in the sheep pastures on the hike to Cuckmere Haven. A great way to visit and enjoy the UK.
Gene B — Google review
A must see. Highly recommend a hike from Cuckmere Haven to Birling Gap via the Seven Sisters cliffs.
JK K — Google review
You have to go past some beautiful large detached houses with a golf course opposite to get to the parking area. Beautiful walk down to the Coast Guard Cottages and beach with the white cliffs in the background. It said on a sign that one could be rented but not sure how! There is also a very old buliding at the bottom one of the first telephone communications across the channel. I was told this by a nice person who is their on a regular basis as a volunteer. Who does a wonder job of collecting rubbish that is washed up on the shoreline at the bottom. There seems to be quiet abit he said mostly from ships. You can walk on the pebble and rocky beach if the tide is out or along the river canals or up and over the hill on top of the cliffs if you want a steeper and higher veiw. Free car park at the top which is not masdive so can imagine this getting full in the height of summer. Has a container cafe with Tea and coffee plus minimal snacks and seating outside. Sadly the portaloo toilets were shut to the public as was told that had been vandalised and also needed cleaning out.

Restaurant
The View Restaurant Bar Function Venue has been visited twice, unfortunately both times were for a wake after a funeral. The first visit was for the movie Sisters and it left a lasting impression with its breathtaking vistas, exceptional buffet, and faultless service. The second time around, the same level of care and service was evident as guests enjoyed the stunning views and sunny weather. Although not known for its style, this eatery located on a golf course offers a delightful breakfast experience even during late hours.
Had a lovely lunch at The View in Seaford the other day. The setting really lives up to the name The staff were friendly and the food was decent with a good mix of options. It’s also great that they welcome dogs, makes it feel really relaxed and inclusive. Definitely one of those places you find yourself coming back to.

A very disappointing Mother’s Day lunch. Service was poor, we had to wait nearly an hour for our pre booked meal, despite the restaurant not being busy. When it finally arrived, the food quality was poor, vegetables were at best warm ( not hot), roast potatoes insufficiently cooked, and the gravy was thin and meagre. One of our party sent their meal back to be reheated in the microwave! The only redeeming feature of the meal was the desserts which were fine, and delivered promptly. We won’t be returning here to eat. Lovely views of the 18th fairway of this excellent golf course though.

Thank you to everyone especially Candice for making my daughter and son in law’s wedding party so special. The location is perfect for any occasion, I can’t recommend it enough. The food was delicious and the service was great. If you’re looking for somewhere to hire for a party I’d definitely recommend the View.

I honestly don’t know where to start. We had our wedding reception here on Saturday and it was perfect from start to finish. The communication and organisation was on point . Everyone listened to my wishes and made everything I wanted work and was so accommodating. The staff on the day were amazing. We decided on the fork buffet . It was presented really nicely and tasted amazing . They also did a hot buffet for the kids that went down a storm and bacon and halloumi baps in the evening. Again I can’t thank you all enough for making our day so perfect. Mr & Mrs Swann

We visited The View at Seaford Head Golf Club for the Seaford Chamber Charity Golf Day and had a fantastic experience. The food was lovely—piping hot, generous portions, and excellent value. During my recent visit to Seaford, I stumbled upon Evina's Coffee Shop and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed and guided to their charming garden area since the indoor seating was bustling with patrons. The outdoor space features a cozy patio equipped with heaters, making it an ideal spot even in November. The service was exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious bacon mozzarella and onion toasted panini that hit the spot perfectly.

A spot with a lovely ambiance and incredibly accommodating staff. We enjoyed sitting in their cozy little garden, which was thoughtfully equipped with heaters, making it perfect even for cooler days. The coffee was beautifully brewed, and the scone with cheese and butter was an absolute delight—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The walnut coffee cake was another highlight, delicious and rich in flavor. Attention to detail here is outstanding, and it’s wonderful that they are dog-friendly too. I liked it here. Not for everyone I don't think. If you are a regular at High Street big names then this isn't for you. If however you want outdoor eating , sunshine on your face, the rustle of trees , then this is for you. Home style cooking , a good menu and some delicious cakes with great friendly service then this is the place. Tucked away down the main street it's a little gem .

The Cuckmere Inn is a contemporary chain establishment situated in a beautiful location, offering a diverse menu and regular meal promotions. The venue provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for patrons to relax and recharge, with friendly staff ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant also boasts stunning views that are truly one-of-a-kind. Families and even pets are welcome, allowing for memorable moments together.
I had such a lovely evening at the Cuckmere Inn with my dad, and it’s one of those nights I’ll remember for a long time. From the moment we arrived, the service was fantastic – the team were so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which set the tone for the whole night. Nothing ever felt rushed, and we were really able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The setting is just beautiful. The cozy, warm vibe inside the inn made it feel inviting and comfortable, while the views outside were absolutely stunning – the kind that make you pause and just take it all in. It’s the perfect mix of homely and picturesque, and it created such a calm, peaceful atmosphere for our evening together. For dinner, I went for the chicken parmigiano, and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavour – it was comforting yet still felt special, and paired perfectly with the relaxed setting. My dad and I both commented on how good the food was, and it really elevated the whole evening. What made it even more memorable was how everything came together – the attentive service, the cozy ambiance, the beautiful views, and the delicious meal. It felt like the perfect place to slow down, share good conversation, and just enjoy each other’s company. Spending the night at the Cuckmere Inn with my dad was truly special, and it’s somewhere I’ll definitely return to. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place that combines great food, wonderful service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at ease.

The triple cooked chips were the best I’ve tasted in England. I’m from Canada and it would appear that all chips (fries in Canada) are crispy and have some colour. We ordered the wrap with sweet potato fritter and the fish sandwich. Both were delicious. Prices are reasonable and comparable to other similar establishments. The place has plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. The beer selection is fine. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful, others not so much. In the end we really liked the place and it’s conveniently located at the end of a short walk from the 7 sisters.

We went there today for lunch and the place looks nice inside and has a large outdoor seating area with a beautiful view. The place looked clean. The staff seemed kind of detached and the only lady who brought out our food (in her 50s) seemed more friendly. I asked to swap onion rings and chips for halloumi fries and the answer was NO, I wouldn't mind to pay some extra as both were the same price. The Signature burger was delicious so where the potato wedges however my friend's stake sandwich was very dry and I would not recommend. Also it took a while for food to arrive and it was hardly warm.

First time here and we had a lovely experience. Food was amazing big portions. parking is free but must register inside the pub. Toilet was clean and smell good. Lots of costumer.

We arrived here around 3pm on a Wednesday, there were not very many customers and perhaps only a quarter of the outside tables were occupied. Sadly the majority of the unoccupied tables were full of old plates, glasses and food. Most of these tables were left uncleared for the whole time we were there (approx. 1hr). We cleared our own table then proceeded to order 2 drinks and 1 small dish via the QR code provided with the table. Over 40 MINUTES later and we hadn’t even received our drinks (???). My friend went inside to the bar and had to ask them to begin making them, then take them out himself to our table and return for the food. Shockingly poor standards of service so far. When my friend came back, this was the ‘Calamari with Saffron Aioli’ we paid £7.95 for (image attached) that he brought back with him. Yes, this is really everything you get for nearly £8! Worst of all they were cold, stale - even the lemon used as a garnish was dry, discoloured and absolutely could not have been fresh. Sauce slopped into a ramekin. Honestly the worst food I have ever received as a customer at any pub or restaurant. I have worked in hospitality for nearly a decade, eat out frequently and am as kind and charitable as I can be. I have never written a negative review before but I felt I simply had to write this review as the food and service was appealing at the Cuckmere Inn.

Had lunch at the Cuckmere Inn paid £18.25 for haddock and chips thought I'd be safe eating out with fish and chips but batter was brittle and the fish dry Had to look for my chips about 5 ? Not imoressed no one bothered to ask if we were happy with the food. The pub was not busy but plates took a long time to be cleared.

Disappointing to say the least. Having just completed a big walk from Birling Gap to Cuckmere and had prebooked a table for a late lunch as a treat. The place looked busy, the menu looked superb with lots of choice. We got seated by a friendly staff member, who seemed rushed off his feet, and it then took half an hour for the friendly waitress to come to take our order. We were starved btw. She brought the drinks pretty promptly. It then took over an hour to be served. I ordered a salad £14.95 and mac cheese £4.25. The mac cheese was literally 3 tiny mouthfuls. Not worth the price. The salad arrived with no dressing, although it should have been tossed in a zesty pineapple and ginger dressing. It looked like half a bag of rocket with thimble full of ingredients added. A friend ordered the chicken bacon avocado salad. It came out luke warm, the chicken was tough and the ciabatta looked like it was from a frozen packet. Another friend ordered skewers from the menu, lamb and halloumi, some of the meat was still pink and the halloumi was chewy and looked barely cooked. We did complain and the waitress took the drinks off the bill. Tbf we should have paid for the drinks and had the food taken off the bill. We won't be coming back unless its just for a drink. To also reiterate what others have said, after the rush, lots of empty tables but not cleared, full of used glasses, bottles etc. No one regularly checking the toilets. No toilet roll or hand wash until we pointed this out hours after arriving.

Called in at the former Golden Galleon after walking the 7 sisters (there are 8 😡). Nice menu well cooked though service was a bit miserable. Dog friendly and there is even a regular bus service back to the Birling Gap. Location is the main feature here.

Discovered on a Monday meals are half price if pre-booked. So left the building, went outside and pre-booked. To me that's stupid - just make it 50% off and be done with it. Mondays are obviously quiet so an incentive to bring in the customers. So we stood waiting at the "wait here to be served" sign for around 7 minutes and eventually a member of staff said sit anywhere. So we sat, no menus were given to us - we had to grab a passing member of staff eventually. We all opted for the Rib-eye steak, (1 medium rare, 1, medium and 1 well done), with chips, onion rings, a mushroom, and half-a-tomato. After waiting 10 mins our order was taken. For a place that was almost empty except for a party of say 11 on one table the wait was ridiculous. We then waited 40 minutes for our meals. Yes 40 minutes - we timed it. The meals turned up and my steak was not medium-rare. My friends were both medium but they accepted them. I looked around for a server to send back my steak and waited 5 - 6 minutes. My meal was taken away and 10 mins later my plate was returned with a medium rare steak. So far so good with this, however, even the medium rare the steak was tough as old boots. One friend said his was also tough and my other friend said her's was ok. The onions were a joke - I mean who serves onion rings looking like the photos I provide here - they were awful. If I had to work out percentage of onion to the ring part, I'd say 1% onion and 99% stuff which was indescribable and tasted, dare I say it disgusting. The chips were fantastic - so that's your one star for the chips. Tomato and mushroom were also good. My pinot grigio was not good and at the price charged should be half-decent. My friend had a Chard which he said was awful. He ordered a named lager in the end - which was good. I always say a restaurant or pub really should look at what the customers leave on their plates to decide how good or not they are. Well - my photo says it all. The photos reflect what we left, and a photo of the indescribable onion ring - dear oh dear. The 3rd photo is of chewed meat that my friend could not swallow and had to put back on the plate - not nice I know, but that's how bad it was. I do have to say that the staff were very nice, but run off their feet with the large table, they simply couldn't cope with 3 or 4 tables (one of which had say 11 people on it) Will never ever visit this pub again. What a disaster.

Stopped of for a bite to eat and to grab a drink after a long drive to the coast. Interesting place on multiple levels, lots of little rooms with steps between them garden area is much the same with many tables to chose from. Clearly the building has lots of history. Staff are very pleasant and helpful service was quick and efficient. Bar is small but service was quick, we ordered food from the menu, quite a typical standard menu. I had the steak which was cooked as requested and accompanying extras were ok, but the pepper sauce was starting to split, but still edible. Wife had mushroom wellington huge puff pastry but not much filling and she didn't enjoy the mushroom filling as it was too spiced, but I think that's personal taste I think a vegetarian may enjoy the additional flavours, the roast parsnips and carrot were good but the potatoes appeared to have been multiple fried and were not good they were not eaten. Great place to stop for a beer and a chat with a good atmosphere, they are dog friendly with bowls out for the dog. Parking is on the surrounding roads and parking spaces are limited. Not a place to go if you are not able to navigate steps.

You can't fault the staff....they were prompt and courteous, place is clean...don't know the Sunday roast was just meh ! Meat from the trio roast was good and tender, but the veg just Lacking and meh! We visited this pub for the first time. Excellent food, very helpful staff and a good selection of real ales. It can be accessed by wheelchair, and has a disabled toilet. Could have had a few more staff as the service was rather slow, especially waiting for food to arrive. Still, it was worth the wait as the food was really good.
Adrian H — Google review
Enjoyed the fish and chips. This is about £3 more than a chip shop, but you get a table, a comfortable seat, a china plate, metal knife and fork, fresh tartare sauce, choice of peas and style of chips. And you aren't going to lose your meal to the gull population. Beer was good too.

The Old Boot Inn is a charming and inviting pub where both locals and tourists can savor a selection of ales, ciders, and delicious homemade pub fare. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to unwind with a drink. Visitors can also enjoy ample outdoor seating when the weather permits. The generous portions of food are well-prepared, with options like jacket potatoes topped with chili con carne and coleslaw or sausage and onion baguettes served with chips and salad.
Wonderful place to relax and have food or grab a drink. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. They all even remembered the daily customers names showed me how good they’re in customer service. They valued me as a customer rather than like other places. Such a happy place and atmosphere was the surprisingly cool. Place was nearly full at lunch time and most of enjoying their food. Plenty of seats inside and out for big get together.

A Hidden Gem You’d Almost Walk Past – The Old Boot We were recently recommended to try The Old Boot, and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! Only a six-minute walk away, but we nearly missed it completely. The signage outside is faded and incomplete, and with two external doors (neither of which scream “welcome”), you wouldn’t guess this was a thriving, busy pub. Had we not spotted people inside through the window, we might have assumed it was closed down. But once inside, everything changes. The pub opens up into a spacious, welcoming venue with a large seating area and a great atmosphere. There’s also plenty of outdoor seating for sunnier days. It’s more than you’d ever expect—or want—from a traditional pub. The real ale selection is superb, with six pumps offering a wide variety, including a beautifully kept Harveys. Every pint we had was crisp, clean, and spot-on. I ordered from the blackboard menu, which featured two homemade soups. The mushroom and cheddar was exceptional—packed full of flavour and clearly made with care. We also had the lasagne, which was obviously homemade and full of heart. The food overall was fantastic. Despite the pub being busy, the staff were friendly, relaxed, and clearly enjoyed what they were doing. The service was warm and efficient without anyone looking rushed. All in all, The Old Boot is a real find—rough around the edges on the outside, but full of charm, quality, and character once you’re in. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice place, went for a birthday lunch recently. We booked a table but I don’t think that is always necessary. Pleasant atmosphere with plenty of indoor or outdoor seating. The staff are very friendly and kids are welcome with a good kids menu. Portion sizes are descent for the big eaters, and a good selection of beers.

Food is mediocre, decor was good, but service is atrocious. We came as a family but ordered separately. My father came right after me to order for mom and himself but the service took ages before they even started cooking, with other patrons getting their meals ahead. Staff response was rude and unsympathetic. Father was not happy in the slightest. Only good thing are the fish and the lemonade.

Seaford Beach

Beach
Seaford Beach is a charming stretch of coastline with pretty pastel beach huts at the eastern end, making it a popular spot for Instagram-worthy photos. The area remains largely undeveloped, offering just a couple of coffee places and free parking. A concrete path runs along the entire length of the beach to Tide Mills, providing access to another nature reserve.
If you’re looking for a peaceful and unspoiled beach, Seaford is an absolute dream. This quiet stretch of coastline is my favorite place to be—serene, beautiful, and free from crowds. It’s the perfect spot to swim, paddleboard, or simply relax and take in the stunning surroundings. One of the best things about this beach? The well-behaved seagulls! Unlike many other seaside spots, you won’t find them swooping in for your food, making it an even more enjoyable place to unwind. The location is also a great starting point for scenic walks, whether you’re exploring coastal trails or heading into the lovely nearby town with its small selection of charming local restaurants. There’s a laid-back, welcoming feel to the area, making it ideal for a quiet getaway. For convenience, there are toilets and refreshments available right at the beach, so you can spend the whole day here without a worry. Whether you’re after adventure or just a moment of peace by the sea, Seaford is the perfect escape.

Seaford Beach is a beautiful spot with its rocky shoreline and stunning sea views. It’s great for a peaceful walk, exploring the rocks, or just sitting and enjoying the scenery. The water was nice and refreshing for a swim, which made the visit even more enjoyable. A lovely place to unwind and take in the natural surroundings.

Although predominantly shingle, this is a most attractive beach with a row of brightly painted beach huts along its top and the start of the white cliffs and the "Seven Sisters" to its east. At the cliff end, there is plenty of free parking and free public conveniences.

Stunning beach, amazing view of the limestone cliffs on the left. You can access the cliffs from the beach. Standing in seaford head cliffs will give you a great vantage point of the ocean and the entire area. People start the path going to the seven sisters cliff from this beach. If you have the stamina and the energy this path is the best way to appreciate the cliff.

It's quiet, and unpretentious, but the people are nice and the parking is free. I had a lovely walk along the sea front in the warm sun, drank a coffee bought from a kiosk, and sat on one of the mant seats. The Martello tower museum is well worth a visit, loved it.

Visited Tuesday evening, in September 2025. Lovely friendly & professional service in the sit down informal restaurant. We chose large and senior fish and chips, tartare sauce & curry sauce, pot of tea & a coke. All served in a clean, fast, efficient & exceptionally friendly atmosphere. Senior fish and chips £10.95 was a very large portion for me, more like medium sized & was delicious & fresh. Very impressed, no wonder it was busy !

Just one street away from Broad Street, but the Fish& Chips were £2 to £3 cheaper! We found the fish and chips very good, and especially liked that they had the option to get grilled (unbreaded) fish rather than breaded and deep-fried. They also have a senior portion of cod on the menu, grilled or fried, for £2 less than the normal price. The waitress was a very friendly, and very attentive without hovering. The atmosphere is like a diner or a simple pub, nothing special but completely adequate. We'll be back!

The guides/owners very informative, could imagine living there in times gone by. No apparent electricity or gas mains, saw oil lamps for lighting and fireplace for heat and hot water. Did have taps but not sure about a flushing loo. The views across the English Channel amazing. A stunning setting.

Just spent over £100 on a curry. The majority of the chicken was over cooked and spongey. The sauces were not authentic tasting what so ever, maybe the chef is away? Because it’s never been this bad.

Staff were friendly and helpful but the place was empty on a Saturday night. The chicken dhansk was awful and had hairs it in we sent it back and they did remove the price from the bill was was very disappointed. The starters were good and the chutneys were delicious also were the prawns but the nann bread was disappointing. It was quite expensive compared to other Indian restaurants in the town too.

Must try and must visit We were in Seaford for work and in this restraunt on a very quite day and expectations were very low knowing only 2 of us were there. But to our pleasant surprise the food was yummy. We have tried the Chefs special mixed biryani with lamb, prawns & chicken and Veg biryani. Both were very well made. The taste justified the higher price point

Very mixed experience recently - service generally ok - but when we mentioned that the chicken tandoori was burnt (i.e. like charcoal) they told us that we weren't used to it and that's how it usually is - which was completely weird and wrong; as we were regular customers and never had it like that. It will be a very long time before we consider coming back.

Decent family-run Bangladeshi restaurant. Called on a Saturday night for delivery. I was told that would take 1.5 hours, so opted to collect - which was supposed to be 1 hour. My food was late so I was offered a Tiger beer - ice cold bottle opened in front of me, clearly no dodgy business here (some restaurants serve open bottles filled with draught beer that may even have been watered). Lamb Chettinad from the separate Taste menu was very nice and pretty hot - portion was enough for two people. Onion bhaji starter - four pieces (in balls) - was also good. But chicken bhuna was disappointingly bland and chicken chunks in it seemed to have come from a packet. Restaurant was very busy with diners, who all seemed happy - apparently at weekends you need to book a table 5-7 days ahead. Looks a great place to eat in.

Takeaway. Order online. Wrong order: wrong drinks, missing 'added' topping (the meat!), that cost extra . Starters undercooked and soggy, pizza tepid, crust dough oversweet. When we called to complain about missing items - staff member had thick accent and also made out he couldn't understand. Couldn't help, couldn't refund, couldn't replace. Mixed me up with someone else and started mentioning what went wrong with their order last time, and changed attitude to "so what do you want". Then said he couldn't help or refund "because he's not here" (didn't say who or when 'he' would be). And that was a 2x 10" pizza 'special deal' for almost thirty quid. Would. Not. Touch. This. Place. Ordered pizza before and never much tomato base sauce. So the last few times I ordered extra pizza sauce. Absolutely no difference. This last time I called. Firstly he shouted at someone for not giving me dips. After I corrected him and said "no not the dips, no extra tomato base sauce" he just said "yes there was I made it" then he hung up. The pizza was mostly base, cheese and topping. Those parts were fine no problem at all. Just no pizza base sauce 😕 well hardly any. Then rude on the phone.

I’ve used these people before regularly and their pizzas are decent but the service is atrocious. Bear in mind your details are kept and they realise a regular customer is calling, they held me for 20 minutes before telling me to order online (with limited options) and then hanging up the phone when I explained that their online options were limited to bits and pieces we did not want. I hang up and rang again, and same cycle..,ignorant, rude and inept…..good pizzas though!

Golden Palace is a popular Chinese eatery in Seaford, favored by locals. It offers a diverse a la carte menu featuring shared mixed plates and individual dishes, encompassing both traditional favorites and inventive culinary concepts. This restaurant caters to various preferences and occasions, be it family gatherings or intimate dates. During a midweek visit, the food was prepared fresh to order and proved delicious. The dining experience was relaxed, accompanied by friendly service.
Lovely food and good value for money. £25 per head for "All You Can Eat" dinner. The AYCE menu has a great variety of choices. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Golden Palace. Next time we come back to Seaford, we must eat again at the Golden Palace. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Warm welcome. Chinese Chicken curry, Golden Rice Kung Po Chicken and salt & pepper squid. All very tasty. Large portions. Would happily recommend. 2 Tiger beers £44 including tip.

Excellent service from the moment we arrived. The owner, who also served us, was very attentive, and it’s clear this is a well-run family business. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and came in generous portions. We came from London for the Seven Sisters hike and stumbled upon Golden Palace — such a great find! If I ever return to Seaford, I’d definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Visited mid week and had a sit down meal sitting in the window...food cooked to order fresh and tasty...we felt relaxed service with a smile ....well worth the money and a good opportunity to try different dishes which are generous portions...we also enjoyed the wine to wash it down....we look forward to return.

Perfect location. Perfect pub. Perfect stay! Simon and company were amazingly receptive and kind. Rooms were simple and did the job. We are going on the seven sisters walk and the location of the Wellington is in a great location just steps away from the beach path. Would stay again in a heartbeat

Gorgeous pub with a great history and lovely indoor comfy seating. Did discover that the Blue moon drought is not for me, they could definitely have better beer and cider on tap but thats a personal preference, perhaps their patrons prefer their selection

Nearly always go in here for food when I visit my mother in Seaford. Simon and crew are extremely courteous and friendly and the food exceptional. All freshly made in house. They ran out of beef wellington yesterday and he quickly whipped one up for me. Doesn't come much fresher than that. Can't praise the quality or service enough. Thoroughly recommended.

Visited this pub for dinner & drinks, with friends. The staff are super friendly & the food is good honest & fresh. The bar had a really good atmosphere! Will visit again the next time I'm in Seaford.

Extremely disappointing food, we had ordered fish and chips, fish was soggy and watery and obviously not freshly made. After that, we decided to change into burgers but it was even worse. This place needs an actual chef. As food was horrible and pricy.

Nature preserve
Seaford Head Nature Reserve, managed by Sussex Wildlife Trust, offers a variety of walking options with stunning views of the Seven Sisters and Cuckmere Valley. Visitors can start at Seaford Head and walk along the coastal path to Hope Gap and Cuckmere Haven or explore the river teeming with birdlife. The reserve features picturesque countryside, breathtaking coastline, and iconic chalk cliffs.
Nature is creating amazing places in this world. Here is one of them. I really enjoyed this site where the sea meets the island's white rocks. Green everywhere around. For those who want to disconnect from the crowded and concrete cities, that's the place. Relaxing and peaceful. Wonderful !!!
Ane I — Google review
My wife suggested this place rather than the cliffs directly. I had little idea what to expect. We all walked down and the sight was a wonder to behold. The sun was warm enough and wind was cool enough, perfect! We walked down to the pebble beach, played in the stream as it merged with the sea and collected rocks. Since we collect a lot of rocks in all our UK journey and trash our home, wife made us keep only 1 each. I kept what was revealed to be ' Hags stone'. Parking is ample and free. There is no food or water stalls here, so bring your own. The trail is easy enough to push and climb with a stroller. We had a better time here than at the commercial Brighton beach. Worth a visit with the family.
Shaunak S — Google review
Beautiful Cliffs and there’s a cafe as well with cozy seatings and a souvenir shop. Public toilets are in close proximity. Ample of parking available with coin only machines, however a whole day parking ticket can be purchased from the cafe.

A better view point than the Seven Sisters White Cliffs site with the information center. We came here first, the cliff views here were breathtaking. Then we went to the site with a gift shop and information center. When down the beach from the stair tower. The views at the beach level were splendid.

free parking! what else can i say :) easy hike as well to see the viewpoint of seven sisters cliff. the beach is also better..there is a good coffee shop on the car park.

Went there 20 years ago. & Took a few pics. A couple of weeks ago, I did the same. But this time l bothered to walk to the beach. Loving day out

Walked the seven sisters whilst on a walking holiday. Wonderful views everyone we met was friendly and chatty.

If you are limited on time or unable to walk on whole coastal path, go here to enjoy the magnificent vista which in my opinion is the best one. A short 10 minute walk from the car park (optional coin donation).

History Museums
Specialty Museums
The Seaford Museum of Local History is located in Martello Tower no.74 at the eastern end of Seaford seafront. The tower has a rich history, having served various purposes over the years before being restored and housing the museum. Visitors describe it as a "Tardis" due to its deceptively spacious 5,000 square feet display area, which includes different floors and even the roof with cannon.
A remarkable place absolutely full of interesting and nostalgic pieces. The museum is housed inside of a Martello tower with a steep ramp and wheelchair lift to the lower level. Well designed sets show the development of photography, electronics, home appliances and office equipment. There are items found around Seaford itself going right back to Roman times. For just £5 it is a really special place to visit for both adults and children and is run solely by volunteers.
Roger — Google review
Decent place to go, but feels a bit too cluttered. Just too many things going on all at once in one place, almost like everythings been crammed in. The smell stands out quite a bit also. Some pretty things to see, people at reception were lovely. Hopefully things get a little more organised in there
May — Google review
So much packed into the martello tower from early 80s computers like the commodore 64 with cassette loading of games to 1940s radios and much about the local area from the railway to Cinema..£5 well spent. Beach close by and a car park which is very busy on sunny summer days
Geoff C — Google review

An amazing collection and journey through local history, the history of the building and the story of technology in work and at home. Betamax video recorder - check. Vintage calculators and dictation machines - check. A Dragon 32 computer - check. Cameras, telephones, typewriters and a good selection of home computers, and amongst all this, an original Victorian bathing machine. And the views from the rooftop are spectacular.

Amazing Museum and location, you can bring back old childhood memories back. Lot of antiques and vintage things in museum

I love this place. I've been visiting this museum since I was a child so it's very nostalgic for me here. They have incredible collections, and the staff are so friendly and informative. Absolutely worth a visit. I need more time here there's just so much to take in. It was good to see the recent quotes from folks living through the covid pandemic for future generations to learn from. Will certainly be returning for a longer visit next time.

Nothing to see as it’s called museum. Made me feel as a charity shop stuff. Don’t waste time and money because these days people can make a simple thing 5star for no reason without knowing the facts. Giving 2star for good staff and service.

Fish and chips takeaway
Fast food restaurant
Osborne's Fish and Chips is a popular spot known for its consistent quality and generous portions. Located on Church Street, it offers delicious fresh fish and 'proper' chips at reasonable prices. The cozy eatery has limited seating inside, but customers can also take their orders to the nearby beach. Despite mixed reviews, many visitors praise the hot and fresh food served by friendly staff.
In my line of work I travel & cover 30- 50. Restaurants pubs hotels for refurbishment. I stopped here for lunch. Absolutely Glorious. A fantastic traditional fish & chip shop. Polite friendly staff. A large cod & chips ordered. A very short wait. Boxed up. Help yourself to salt / vinegar & pickled onion vinegar. Some of the best fish chips I've had. Alot of these other chip shops in other regions could learn from this shop. I would highly recommend this shop 👌
Scott S — Google review
The chips was fluffy on the inside, there was some crunchy ones also, if you like that. The cod I got was nice, the batter is crunchy and thin. I got a medium cod and medium chips, that came to £9.50 at lunch time. I would recommend and go back. Parking if you get a spot, I got one right outside is free for 2 hours no return for 1 hour, so a good amount of time to get what you need. They are cash only. I waited about 7 min for my cod to be cooked Improvements, giving out sticks or saying where they are, the salt and vinegar was not that much and could have done with some more. There is a small step to get in and out. Putting a meal deal together for chips fish drink.
Leo B — Google review
Delicious fresh fish and chips at reasonable prices. They have two window seats inside as well. If not you can take your fish and chips down by the beach to enjoy. It was around 4pm when we walked by and already it was busy. We came back around 5pm when we visited and we just managed to get our order in and get the two seats before it got really busy. Service was fast. Food was piping hot, fresh and delicious with friendly servers. Definitely recommend and will be back next time I'm visiting seaford

Tea house
Church Lane Tea Room is a charming and cozy spot located just a short walk from Seaford Beach in East Sussex. This funky yet traditional tea room offers a delightful selection of baked goodies, light lunches, and gluten-free and dairy-free options. Whether you're in the mood for a classic afternoon tea or something more sparkling like Prosecco, this place has got you covered. The cafe's homemade treats are prepared with love and care using local quality ingredients.
I highly recommend this tea room. The scones and eggs Benedict are delicious. It’s a very convenient stop before hiking the seven sisters cliffs and is close to the train station. They were very kind to us.
Luisa S — Google review
Small cozy tea room. Very reasonable prices . Scones with a drink at £5.50. Taste is ok 👍. Could improve on the coffee. Coffee was over extracted, so it was too bitter. Otherwise this is a good place to stop by to rest your feet.
C O — Google review
The scones were absolutely amazing and recommend them with jam and clotted cream. The royal eggs were also great and I recommend them. However, I would not recommend the devilled mushrooms: it felt like something was missing in the breakfast, for example just fired eggs. The staff were friendly. The place could be pretty busy, try to book a table upfront.

Cute, little and friendly front of house! Love the individual tea sets. Lovely scone with homemade Chuckle Berry jam… Will go again

The best scones we've had in a long time! Very pleasant owners, the service is really quick. It's a small place, but that's the sense of it: to have local homemade cakes in a cosy small cafe.
Nadezhda S — Google review
What a delightful experience!.. We were to Seaford on so many occasions and I just cannot understand how come we did not discover this place before. An outstanding service (a big thank you to the members of team for it!), very lovely decor that makes you feel very cosy inside, great selection of teas, an excellent choice of “salted” and “sweet”/baked varieties. We both really enjoyed our cream teas with warm scones and home-made Victoria plum preserve (you can also purchase a jar to bring home, which is an excellent idea). And the tea cups come with saucers!.. Card payments are accepted, which is highly appreciated as it is not a given in Seaford. A solid 5 star. We look forward to being back and highly recommend this place to everyone.
Maison V — Google review
Fantastic little cafe/tea room. Not massive but on a nice day there are a couple of tables outside. The treacle tart with clotted cream is just amazing. I had the mushrooms and bacon on toast last time and it was simply devine. Can't fault this place. It's run by the nicest people too so service is great. It's not massive and only has a handful of tables but that's part of its charm. A must visit if you are in Seaford. Recently been back and the treacle tart is still amazingly good. 👍🥧

The ice cream shop Holy Cow! Ice Cream Company Ltd, located on the seafront, is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. Despite its long queues, it's definitely worth the wait. They offer a wide variety of fantastic ice cream flavors that are all locally made. Alternatively, one can choose to go to the shop in town. It's important to be polite to whoever is inside the small hut as there is limited space and it gets very hot in there.
After a 30km walk we headed straight for the hut on the seafront, it's very popular and the queue can be a bit long but it is worth every minute, fantastic locally made ice-cream or you can walk up into town and go to the shop. Please remember to be nice to whoever is in the hut as there is only room for one person and it is very hot in there.
Simon F — Google review
We found this ice cream shop by chance while searching on Google Maps for a place to buy ice cream during a full-day trip with the kids. The ice cream turned out to be truly excellent – very good and clearly natural in taste. It’s definitely the best ice cream shop in a very wide area! Great quality, natural ingredients, and delicious flavours made everyone happy. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

Amazing gelato in Seaford! Generous scoops, natural fresh flavours, and some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Great value and super friendly staff. A must-visit—easily 5 stars.
SERHAT A — Google review
Delicious ice creams, we were four and we have tried several tastes. Lemon sorbet was a little bit too sour, so make sure you try a sample before you take it. We have also tried beglian chocolate, orange vegan and raspberry which were also very delicious. Madagascar vanilla was definitely our pick :) Good point that the place has also gluten free cones! Highly recommended place if you are around.
Damian H — Google review
I just want to say how disappointed we are. My 12 year old son waited in a queue along the seafront and when it was his turn the lady said they were closed. All the people who saw said how mean it was to behave in such a way. With 3 ice cream outlets along the seafront I think Holy Cow should think how they address customers. He may of been 12 years old but these are the people you want to encourage. We like to support local but it's Mr Whippy or Gelato for us from now on.
Amanda N — Google review
A must-try shop for locals and visitors alike, with a shop in town just off the main shopping street, and a seafront ice ream shack. Holy Cow is my favourite ice cream shop, I only realised recently that the town centre shop is also a cafe serving light food and quality coffee and drinks. However, the artisanal ice cream is the star of the show here. Gorgeous flavours that change frequently, so there's always something new to try, from traditional flavours to trend-led flavour combinations. Fantastic quality ingredients, generous portions, and a great range of serving options suitable for the smallest to the biggest appetite at value for money prices. Personally, I find the ice cream so filling it's satisfying like a light meal. TBH, it's hard to walk past the shop without buying an ice cream. Highly recommended
Catherine H — Google review
Best ice cream we've tried in the UK. Sometimes do a 1 hour trip here just for the ice cream. Incredibly creamy, not overly sweet, with unique and natural flavours. Large portions too. We think the ice-cream chefs must be alchemists over here! A must-visit if you are in the area.

Breakfast restaurant
During a recent visit to Harri Nats, I stumbled upon this charming café while searching for a place to enjoy breakfast with family. Despite the bustling atmosphere and a slight wait for our meals, the experience was delightful. The menu offered an array of options, including scrumptious scrambled eggs on toast and a veggie breakfast that left us satisfied. One standout dish was the goats cheese and sun-dried tomato toasty on granary bread—simply divine!
Visited this cafe when I was down seeing family. Were originally meant to go somewhere else but they were full. Came upon harri nats. And I can say I'm glad we did because it was perfect. Even though it was very busy and a slight wait on food I can't fault them. Ordered scrambled egg on toast, veggie breakfast and an English breakfast
Katie J — Google review
£13.50 for a full English breakfast and a coffee. Service was good and food was tasty. Bit stingy on the full English (see photo) with just one sausage and one rasher of bacon the plate looks bare. Also bit weird serving the coffee in a glass without handle so that it’s too hot to pick up. Had to use a tissue to grip the glass. Nice atmosphere inside and good location on the high street.
Chris G — Google review
Absolutely stunning food. Little pricey but worth it. Really friendly and polite staff.

They serve to best toasted sandwiches I have ever had. The staff are friendly and helpful. A hidden gem in Seaford. And don't start me on the shortbread.
Bernice W — Google review
I like the clean ambiance. The breakfast was better quality than other places we’ve been. Thank you Harri Nats! However we noticed that wherever we go they have to have pop music. That becomes a nuisance.
Bill B — Google review
I’d recommend the very tasty goats cheese & sun dried tomato toasty on granary bread! Nice cosy cafe with seats inside & on street. Cool inside on a hot summers day. The friendly staff were helpful with he dietary requirements of others in my group.
Poul A — Google review
Was here earlier this week for breakfast as this caught our eye a few times during our Seaford stay & always seemed rather busy I ordered their full English and was rather disappointed, seemed like they had fried everything in margarine? my plate was swimming in it just completely ruined it. Not to mentioned the questionable short black ting buried in my scrambled egg.. may have been a hair but 100% sure. Portion size was rather stingy too I might add. Never the less the staff offered full refund, was just a shame.

The food was reasonably priced at £15 for pho and no more than £7 for the sides of spring rolls and wonton soup. The portions of noodles were large and very filling making it very worth it. The staff were also wonderful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We were on holiday in Seaford and we were staying close to the restaurant. One night we just walked in without a reservation. We were welcomed with a smile and we were given a table even on a very busy evening. The staff was friendly and very polite. The food was very good and very tasty. With a variety of dishes ranging from traditional curries to tandoori specialties, the restaurant provides a flavorful dining experience. The establishment has garnered positive reviews for its delectable offerings and friendly service, making it a popular choice among locals and visitors alike.
What an amazing Indian restaurant, I was there last night with my wife, we were travelling from Manchester. I’d reserved a table No-1 they gave me. I loved the ambiance of that area. Having tried authentic foods in India, food abroad didn’t make me happy except for this one restaurant, what an amazing food, naans were just perfect. Loved it. And the staff were very polite and friendly. Special thanks to the person who served us last night and the manager was friendly.

On way back from Seven Sisters we wanted some good hearty food. We reached quite late, they were kind enough to accommodate us. Kids had mixed veg rice and cheese naan with chicken tikka. Rice my wife found a bit oily bet delicious. We had chicken (I forget what) and tandoori naan. Food was prompt, but I found the portion sizes a bit small. The server had informed us of the same beforehand. Food was good but sizes did not match the price. Parking had to be a bit away. Definitely recommended.

Came to this lovely spot after a trek down 7 sisters cliffs. Nice, clean and tidy restaurant in the centre of Seaford. The food was absolutely fresh and totally delicious. The mix grill and lamb biriyani was some of the best I’ve had. Lovely owner and waiters. Will most definitely be returning on my return. All their foods are halal which was great.

I ordered a takeaway from Spice Village for the first time. I've lived in Seaford for 8 years and although other similar restaurants have been satisfactory, I was keen to try Spice Village. I'm glad I did. They had a wide array of dishes to choose from, some I hadn't heard of before, so I ordered Chettinad chicken with rice, a couple of vegetable dishes and lamb samosas. The chicken dish was rich snd smoky, with the right level of heat, absolutely delicious. It was delivered piping hot too. I'll be back!

First time here and can't wait to go again. Such a find! I've lived in Newhaven for over 10 years and keep being disappointed by all the local Indian restaurants, but The Spice Village is fabulous. Delicious starters of onion bahji and prawn on puree (both perfect) and then such a choice for the main courses. I love that they have all the curries you'd expect (I had a great prawn pathia) and numerous novel veg side dishes. Had to try a couple of those too. Without doubt the best curry I've ever had locally and, in fact, one of the best from anywhere. AND very good value. Also quick, friendly service and nice decor.

Nice pub with a good selection of draft beers and even a cider! They have sky sports so we even managed to watch F1 quali on one of the screens and with a sound! (which if you tried watching F1 in a pub, you know it’s very rare)

Delighted that this is now my local. Yet another wonderful meal from the Thai Kitchen, we vusited with friends - they enjoyed it so much we were back the next evening. This is a regular occurence whenever anybody comes to stay at ours. Spart from the wonderful Thai food (and attentive polite service) the pub itself has good prices, a wide choice of drinks, and well kept Guinness. In a word ... Fabulous.

Episcopal church
Historical landmark
Saint Leonard's Church in Seaford is a historic gem dating back to around 1100, making it the oldest building in town. This medieval church played a significant role during Seaford's time as one of the Cinque Ports. The exposed, salty climate has weathered many inscriptions on the headstones in its graveyard, creating an atmospheric setting for a leisurely stroll. Visitors can enjoy quiet contemplation from Monday to Saturday and attend worship services on Sundays.

Seaford Town Council

4.2
(5)
Council
Seaford Town Council is located along a beautiful bay with a wide promenade that stretches from Seaford Head and Splash Point to Tide Mills. The council has recently revamped its website and undergone significant changes, which many people have noticed and appreciated. The improvements have been acknowledged by the Seaford Residents' Voice group, indicating positive developments within the council.
Edit, a decade later: The website is now much better, more useful, accessible and informative. Indeed, it runs the risk now of needing a full refresh as it's getting stuffed with things whose location isn't entirely clear or signposted. The Seaford Town Council website has been atrocious for years - ever since the council launched an "official" site, in fact. The lack of information about the Mayor, elections, special events, news, how the place works, councillors, staff etc is staggering. If you scroll far enough down the Publications list, there's a list of things which should be downloadable, but never have been. The original unofficial Seaford Town sites (whose content was rejected by the Council) were far superior; just shows what happens if you let officials do it!
2101bob — Google review
To be fair to STC, the website has been completely revamped. Indeed, so has the Council! It'd be good to see if you think it's improved as a lot of people have said. I'm nothing to do with the Council, by the way, but am something to do with Seaford Residents' Voice.

Nestled in the heart of Seaford High Street, Gallery UNO is a vibrant new addition to the Sussex Arts Collective, showcasing an impressive array of art and crafts. Although my visit was limited to peeking through the window, I could sense the eclectic charm that awaits inside. This cooperative space features unique pieces inspired by the stunning Sussex landscape alongside various other themes. From photography and printmaking to ceramics and jewellery, there's something for everyone here.
Great little gallery always worth calling in to see different artists work. An Art Collective and love the way different artists use different mediums to create. Keep up the good work. 👍

This is a wonderful artists collective gallery space with lots of unique and beautiful pictures and gifts available. Do go in for a browse or if you are in need of a special gift. Many of the artists use our beautiful sussex landscape as inspiration, but there are many other inspirations too. There is a mix of photography, printmaking, painting, ceramics, jewellery, fabric crafts and cartoons to name just a few. I understand that the display changes regularly.
Emily S — Google review
An eclectic mix to suit all tastes. Beautiful work from all artists. Only one very minor hiccup, it would be nice to be left alone to browse. I understand that artists want to share their enthusiasm, but if I want to know more, I will ask. As I said, a very minor detail. We'll done everyone for sharing this space to bring your talent to the public! x

The Crypt Gallery is a historic site located in a medieval undercroft, believed to be the oldest surviving building in Seaford. Originally used as a storage space for valuable items and wool, it now serves as an exhibition space for local and international artists. The gallery's unique setting adds to its charm, with visitors praising the magical atmosphere inside. The venue hosts various exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing diverse artistic works.
We visited an excellent exhibition which included work by four caligraphers who worked on the St. John's Bible project. The highlight for us was being shown reproduced pages from that Bible. The owners were enthusiastic and friendly. It's not a large space but it is interesting and shows the art off well.
Martin T — Google review
We visited The Crypt this weekend and there was a fabulous artist with her work on show. What a fabulous find, open Wednesday to Sunday with different artists exhibiting weekly or by weekly. There is also SCIP workshops a local charity supporting arts and art therapy in the community. Well worth a visit, a stunning medieval building.

A little gem tucked away between fairly boring buildings, but inside is a little magic. The Crypt itself is wonderful and the gallery space light and well worth visiting. Different exhibitions so will depend on when you visit but we always check in to see what the current exhibition is. If you are in Seaford don't miss.

Popped in for breakfast when we were in the area on Sunday. Cannot stress enough what a warm welcome we were given, the service was exceptional. Fry up was lovely and there’s plenty of scope to pick and choose exactly what you want from the menu. Very reasonably priced and I challenge anyone to leave without a smile on their face - just wish we didn’t live 200 miles away! Otherwise, would happily become the regulars we were greeted as! Looking at other reviews, these thoughts are echoed and everyone who walks through that door will be made to feel like a valued customer. Thanks so much, ladies!

This was my third visit, and everything is always delicious here. This time we tried the pork ramen – it was absolutely perfect. The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and I loved that they even added Naruto (the cute white fish cakes with pink swirls). The owner was incredibly kind and friendly, and the service was impressively fast. We’ll definitely keep coming back!

I really love this place, food is very nice and the owner welcoming! My daughter is very fussy eater and the owner always accommodates us with any needs. We became regular customers! 🥰

My partner and I love this place! Every time we visit, we’re blown away by the incredible food, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the outstanding staff. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly smiles and top-notch service that makes you feel right at home. The food is absolutely delicious , every dish is packed with flavour, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Whether we’re getting our usual favorites or trying something new, it never disappoints. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and put so much care into every meal. The environment is just as fantastic, cozy, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed meal together. It’s one of those places where you can truly enjoy the experience, whether it’s a casual dinner or a special night out. If you’re looking for amazing Chinese / Japanese food, incredible service, and a great atmosphere, this is the place to be. We can’t recommend it enough!
