Theme park
Water & Amusement Parks
Efteling is a massive amusement park located in Brabant, south of Amsterdam Zuid. It covers 1000 hectares and is three times larger than New York's Central Park, making it one of the largest in Europe. The park features fairytale-themed rides, wooden roller coasters, and a captivating water fountain and light show.
Such a fun park! We were a couple with 4 kids, ages 4 to 16, and we had a great time. We arrived right when the park opened — the parking lot was already quite full — and we stayed until the very end. We managed to experience everything, some rides even more than once. In my opinion, there’s no real need for two days, unless you want to take it slow and relaxed. There are plenty of attractions for both younger and older kids. Of course, there are more exciting rides for kids over 120 cm, and those usually have slightly longer lines. The longest we waited was about 40 minutes, which is quite reasonable for a summer day — some rides had no line at all. The rides are really well-designed and a lot of fun. The whole park is well-organized, with great atmosphere and music all around. There are also shows throughout the park, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for them. We randomly came across one horse show that was beautiful and impressive. At the end of the day, there’s a fountain and water show with music and lights — a great way to finish. We left exhausted but happy — totally worth it!

I remember this being one of the happiest day of my life so far. Where my inner child was allowed to experience joy and excitement with no limitations. There are various different rides ranging from easy-going to adventure seeking, so different strokes for different folks. It's very family friendly and easily accessible to all. On the day we went, there were a lot of kids, babies, toddlers and disabled persons. It accommodates all family sizes. I went with my partner and we noticed that there were some rides that were only for single riders, so you can definitely experience this solo. In addition to the rides, it's magical to walk around and take in the atmosphere and Fairytale details of the park. I really appreciated the fact we didn't stand too long in the lines for food and the rides. Also a big shout out to the staff who are simply the best (to quote Tina Turner). Thank you Efteling!
Wandile N — Google review
Probably the best theme park i've ever been to. The attractions are really immersive and they have something for all ages. They also have some really fun shows happening all over the park. On top of that, i thought all the food we had was very tasty and reasonably priced. Since we went on a weekday at the end of September, the wait times were never more than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend using their app which has an interactive map of the park where you can view the live waiting indicators and show times.
S V — Google review
Even on a Wednesday, there were still lots of people! The popular rides had a 20–30 minute wait. Some of the facilities looked a bit old and even a little creepy, but the merry-go-round was very special and really cool.
Bebe B — Google review
Efteling is a stunning themepark full of magic and spectacle! It’s perfect for bringing children or honestly any family member- I’m not joking your grandma would love this! Every attraction is themed, detailed and a cared for. Nothing is without consideration, the green spaces, the story telling - even the bins are a delight (iykyk). Every staff member you encounter will be lovely- every ride operation will be fast but efficient. One day is simply not enough to see and experience everything as there is so much to do but one day at Efteling will fill your heart for a year if you have to travel as far as I did for the experience!
Sam E — Google review
This park is a marvellous environment for entertainment to enjoy with both family and friends. It offers a diverse and thrilling experience which takes you into the heart of European cultural heritage, with, I must insist, a blend of magical realism at its core. It is like those fairytale films. Not to mention the splendid natural features of the park; and modern games you can play as much as you like individually, or in groups. All necessary facilities are available everywhere. Tickets are all inclusive; in short, you only pay for entrance. Car parks are abundant. We arrived at 11:00 AM and left at around 5:00 PM in the afternoon. Note that you need at least an entire day to have a good experience, don’t rush take your time especially in the summer! Staff, including those doing the shows, are highly talented and professional, in addition to the local people, I must stress, are the nicest I have ever seen, honestly. Had a great experience. Will definitely revisit Efteling again in the future.
Q.K . — Google review
Great theme park some of the theming is a little strange like the man with the long neck and the character bins that suck rubbish out of your hands. Its themed on fairytales. The rides are good some are quite short but still really well themed. Food and drink is also good and not overpriced like uk themeparks.
Aaron K — Google review
What an enchanting Theme park. We visited this park on a Tuesday and although the park felt busy it didn't seem to be making the queues for the ride too long. I think the longest we waited was 35 minutes, which I feel is acceptable. Their App worked well in helping to plan our day as it kept the queue times updated regularly and had a nice feature to notify you when a queue went below a certain time of your choosing. It can also tell you how far you are from the ride you've selected and directs you there too. It also provides you with lots of extra information about the rides and any restrictions that may be in place. For example heights and health limitations. The theming of this park's outdoor areas was good and the rides were their queue were good also. We managed to ride every ride that my kids were allowed to ride (due to their height 113cm and 123cm) and could have easily finished off all the rides available if we wanted to. We arrived at the gate opening and got in with no waiting and left at about 16:00 very happy with our time. If the kids weren't overtired we would have loved to have stayed longer. However, now we have an excuse to return to enjoy everything this park has to offer once the kids are a little taller.

Theme Parks
Beekse Bergen is the largest safari park in the Netherlands, offering various ways to visit its diverse animal population. Visitors can drive through the park in their own car, take a guided bus tour, explore on foot, or even enjoy a boat ride. The park is home to a wide range of animals including elephants, lions, apes, meerkats, tigers and white-cheeked gibbons. Additionally, visitors can add a day of fun at Speelland during the summer.
You can visit on foot, with your car or with a boat. Park is big, so it's good to plan for the most of your day. Animals have a lot of space to walk around compared to the zoos. It's clean, well maintained and there are multiple playgrounds for kids, also with places to buy drinks, snacks and food.
Marija M — Google review
Always enjoy visiting here. I recommend to take the boat safari to the top of the park, see the birds of prey show (this is a must in my opinion) and then make your way back down the park. 1 star removed because of the restaurant. 1 person cooking per station during peak season really isn’t a good choice. The workers were incredibly stressed and the customers weren’t making their life easier by complaining. Otherwise the food was good.

Absolutely amazing place!! There’s so much stuff to do for kids, we were out from morning till 10pm at night. All of the staff was soo lovely and helpful and kind! Made us feel so welcome everywhere we went. Magical place full of activities, can’t believe I only just found this place! There’s safari park, beach with play park indoors and outdoors, swimming pools with slides, disco and shows for kids, you can hire bikes, kayaks, paddle boards or just chill in a super nice pub/restaurant while kids run around, it’s all secure and safe.
Anna G — Google review
A perfect place to spend time with family or friends. This time we chose the walking option. We saw all the animals whose signs we passed. Although they have a lot of space, you can still see them in smaller or bigger groep. There are many places along the way where you can stop and sit for a moment. Honestly, I even felt a little sorry for those who chose the car safari when I saw the line of cars. It was a great time, and I think it won't be our last visit to this place.
Ilona J — Google review
Had so much fun here. There are many different kinds of animals from all over the world. The only think i did not like was the big birds in cages which should not be allowed. Otherwise it was most certainly worth the trip.

Wow. Words can't describe how amazing this place. Huge safari like in Africa, especially the rooms with animals view - amazing! Please note that the heating system not working 100% as expected, I was cold a little bit, especially in the bathroom and they doesn't have bathrobes. The breakfast is great! A plenty of things to do in the safari!

An unforgettable day at Beekse Bergen Safari Park! The safari experience is incredible seeing lions, giraffes, camels, and rhinos up close feels like being in Africa. The park is spacious, well organized and offers different ways to explore, from car to boat and bus. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is perfect for families or anyone who loves wildlife. A unique experience in the Netherlands that I highly recommend!!!!

Heeswijk Castle, located in the Brabant region of the Netherlands, is a restored 11th-century fortress with a rich history. It also serves as a museum showcasing 19th-century life and offers guided tours and an event program. The castle holds historical significance as it was the landing site for paratroopers during Operation Market-Garden in 1944, which played a crucial role in liberating this part of the Netherlands from occupation.
Neat castle. Lots of history. A little English book for one euro and we walked around all the Dutch tours, cause we couldn’t understand them. I love the funny statues out in the garden. And you can also sit next-door and have a drink or snacks if you’re hungry.

It is a 1000 year old historical place. We went to this place on Saturday morning The crowd was little less. It's a Beautiful building with old paintings and royal equipment. It is recommended to people who love to know dutch history and culture. We bought the tickets over there only not in advance.

Nice caste with a nice history being told. A beautiful place to visit with a lot of friendly volunteers. The restaurant there has amazing food as well. Viewing the castle will take you about an hour. You can also go for a walk in the nice walking paths around the castle. There is free parking for castle visitors.

Brick, stone and wood are harmoniously combined throughout the castle. Wonderful architecture of another era. Decoration which takes you out to the 15th century and beyond. Definitely worths a visit...

Amazing place to visit, definitely a must for castle lovers. One of the most beautiful staircases with tiles that I have seen, interesting history, well maintained rooms and more.
Monika K — Google review
The castle was very nice and the audio guide you can use through your phone by scanning the QR codes in the castle is very informative and makes the visit pleasant. The cafe at the entrance of the castle was a nice way to end the visit. The only thing I did not like was the fact that the museum card was not recognized although the castle was included with it. So I had to pay the ticket entrance. It seems they often have this problem unless you reserve your ticket online.
Gabriele — Google review
The castle is located amidst fields and wilderness. Ideal for a bicycle ride or a walk. You have to take rather a longer route to enter but the surrounding is greenish and very pleasing. The castle had a war re-enactment when we visited. It was a great experience for all the visitors. Inside the castle, you will find guides but you can also be supported by the audio guide. I think the castle also accommodate functions like weddings, etc. At the entrance , there is a nice restaurant that serves delicious foods. Not a huge variety but the foods and drinks are very tasty and comparatively cheap. Overall, it is a very enjoyable experience !

+ Beautiful castle, well preserved, educative, feels like travel back in time. Don't forget to visit their cafe 'Bij de Barones' the red velvet cake is superb! - by adding more touch of interactive tech, would be more interesting and even more educative especially for kids. (18/10/2025)

Park
ZooParc Overloon in Noord-Brabant offers a safari park experience where visitors can encounter big cats, giraffes, and flamingoes. The hilly park allows guests to walk among the animals and even participate in feeding sessions. The zoo features a well-thought-out layout with spacious paths surrounded by lush greenery, creating a natural habitat for the animals. Visitors can also enjoy adventure paths for children and a large playground near the entrance.
Visited: Weekend Parking: Yes (paid) Duration (adults): From 1.5 to 2.5 hours Atmosphere: 5 Amenities: Multiple WCs, resting areas, restaurant, multiple bistros, souvenir shop Comments: The entire environment is very clean, tidy, well organised, and user-friendly. Many enclosures are accessible from more points + to some you get back again during your tour (this maximises your chance to see the animal), some enclosures are safari-like (kangaroos, lemurs etc.), and paths between enclosures are surrounded by bamboo to invoke jungle-like atmosphere. Compared to other zoos, here you can often get really close to the animals. Thematically concepted environment related to the animal's origin. At the giraffe's enclosure, there is an old african-like bus that you can sit in and observe, etc. Definitely recommended.
Jan W — Google review
What a lovely zoo! It felt very safe for the animals with visitors walking through their enclosures and plenty of places for them to hide away if they want to. Lots of lovely vegetation making it feel very natural. We spent nearly five hours here walking around as a family. Would recommend for a family day out.
Sarah W — Google review
Really nice zoo. Not huge, but that makes it easy to see everything without rushing. Walking between the animals is great fun, and the vibe is super relaxed. Perfect for a day out

Wonderful family experience!! Such a variety of animals in the most natural environment for each species I have even seen!! There is opportunity to buy a day pass to be the "zoo-keeper of the day", so you go around the animals, feeding and taking care of them, while learning more about them. Unique experience!! Fully worth visiting!

General score out of 10: 9️⃣ If you want a different zoo experience from the usual this might be it. ✅ Zoo design. It has been designed to help visitors see all the animals and experience the entire zoo by following the route from start to finish. + You don't get lost. + You don't miss any animals or attractions. + Makes for a great experience. ✅The first zoo I have experienced with zoo guides who talk about the animals for those interested. I particularly enjoyed my encounter with the guide at the kangaroos. ✅ Several Adventure paths have been placed along the route. This keeps the whole visit much more fun for kids. + Our three kids 8,6, and 4 didn't complain about tiredness the whole time. ✅There are some animals you won't find at any other zoo. Eg: Dwarf hippopotamus, Okapi, most lions I have seen in one zoo(5),etc. ✅ Suitable for wheelchairs and prams/strollers. ✅ Washrooms for all groups including wheelchair, old, baby changing, parking place for stroller or pram. Definitely a plus. ✅ The biggest playground is at the end of the route. If you have kids they won't want to skip it so have enough time for that part too😊. ✅ Soft icecream at the shop by the trampoline is really good but it too big. You may want to share with the kids instead of getting one for everyone to avoid throwing them away after having too much. + Suggested they make child portions. ➕✅Tip: Check "vakantie veilingen" to find the best discounts on tickets.

A nice and well maintaned open air Zoo with a lot of different animals to see. Setup is in different zones to seperate the type of animals and habitat. Make sure to pick a dry and sunny day, it is all open air. It big enough for spend half a day. Downside; rediculous prices for food and snacks. $12 for a simple small burger and $7 for a few fries is outrageous!
Jeroen M — Google review
This is a unique location, as a German this Zoo is incredible. It is very clean with great views of the animals. You can learn a lot if you want to. I hope this atmosphere goes on. Sadly many parents are not able to raise their children correctly and the adventure paths are used in wrong ways and the kids often damage the surrounding plants. But I think it’s the same everywhere nowadays… The playground is big and our toddler has a blast every time. A helpful and nice staff contributes to the overall fantastic Zooparc. See you soon!

Great place with loads to do. Massive lake with aqua park and pedal boats, also a diving platform to swim out to. Plenty of space to roam around.

Wonderful place to visit with the family. Next to a large pond. Absolutely nice atmosphere and the reception is very friendly. See the images I posted to see what I mean. The outside and the inside playgrounds are all very nice. I definitely recommend visiting if you have a family.
Alwi S — Google review
BillyBird Hemelrijk is a fantastic and fun park with a wide range of activities for kids. It features many outdoor attractions, a large indoor playground, and a big sandy beach along the lake. The entry price is absolutely worth it, but if you plan to visit more than a couple of times, the annual pass is a great deal. It even comes with discounts for many other places, which adds extra value. You can rent pedal boats on the lake, and there’s an inflatable aqua obstacle course available for a fee (reservation required). The food is exactly what you'd expect from this type of park (fries, snacks, sandwiches, salads) but it's actually better quality than in most similar places. There’s a restaurant inside the indoor playground and another at the entrance with a different menu. Outdoor attractions are impressively varied: swings, climbing structures, a small roller coaster, bumper cars, carousels, a boat waterslide, a gold river, and more. The park is open all year round, and the indoor playground means you can still enjoy your visit even in poor weather. It can get busy on sunny summer days, but the space is large enough that it rarely feels overcrowded, and they open extra parking when needed. They also host themed events throughout the year, like dinosaur weeks or Halloween celebrations. The staff is always friendly, and we’ve never had a bad experience. Overall, a truly awesome place for kids, ours are always excited for the next visit.
Jonathan B — Google review
Nice park to spend all day with the kids. Lots of attractions outside and inside. The prices to drinks and food are quite reasonable. There is a water park where you can have a lot of fun. There is also a nice nice roller coaster 🎢 for kids.
Gabriel H — Google review
There are indoors and outdoors, suitable for children of all ages (some facilities have a 110cm limit), the park is very large, there is a large lake, artificial beaches, and lawns everywhere, suitable for picnics, water, and sand. There are outdoor recreational facilities on both sides of the lake, including mini roller coasters, aerial bicycles, wave board water slides, bumper cars and so on. There are also two indoor game areas, one is the pirate ship area, which is like a double or triple Monkey town, and the other is the ball pool area. Older children (those over 10 years old who feel bored) are recommended to purchase additional water inflatable facilities. Good weather is recommended. 16€ for on-site ticket purchase (per person, adults also need to buy tickets), 10% off for online ticket purchase, 20% off for ticket purchase 2 days in advance, 40% off for ticket purchase one week ago (one ticket less than 10€ is the best deal) Parking for one day 5€

Nice place to be for small children, good deal for a day long activity, unfortunately it was raining sometimes so not possible to swim (outdoor swimming activities), there was an inside games but full of people and no social distancing possible. Nice Zoo, kept tidy and clean (except for the occasional animal droppings, but what do you expect). Staff is super friendly and willing to explain everything about the animals in question. The animals look peaceful and have a lot of space to move around with lots of green. Food pricing is not too bad either. The toilets were also cleaner than expected, which is always a nice plus.

The best zoo I’ve ever visited! It’s not too big, which makes it perfect for a relaxing walk without having to walk long distances. The whole area is beautifully green, making it a lovely place for a stroll while enjoying the animals. There are lots of animals, and most of them are very easy to see. One of the best things is that you can enter some of the animal areas and watch them without cages or bars, which is amazing. It’s also a great place for kids, with plenty of attractions for them. I highly recommend it!
Paulina M — Google review
Honestly, I expected more from Zoo Eindhoven. The ticket price is way too high for the small number of animals and limited attractions. It just didn’t feel worth it. On the bright side, the parking area is big and easy to find. But overall, I wouldn’t go back.
Anna — Google review
A great day with the family but it’s a very hot day, few animal feedings during the day, but none of it in English so kids lost interested. Couldn’t see a few animals like red pandas as it’s hidden somewhere. Food is very basic with chips, fish cake & sausages. There is indoor playground, some sand pitch to play. Good enough for the family. Gift shop is not much impressive.
Day P — Google review
It is a good place to take children for a fun day. Water playground is an absolute hit with kids, the smaller ones could stay there the whole day instead of going around seeing animals 😁 It would be nicer if some of the animal enclosures were bigger, as it seemed like animals don't have too much space, but most of it seemed ok, well kept, clean and taken care of.
Marija M — Google review
Relatively new zoo near Eindhoven. It takes about 90 minutes to walk through it all, the playgrounds are well placed and the animals are well displayed. Kids loved it.
Funke E — Google review
Compared to other European zoos, this one was really disappointing. Very pricey, parking ticket costs extra, you even need to purchase an exit ticket, never heard of that, what a strange concept. A lot of animals were missing, kids found it quite boring. They did have a lot of fun on the playgrounds, which are the best part of this zoo and where we spent most time. But i would not pay so much money for a playground ever. Not going back unfortunately.

Founded in 1928 by the Van Doornes brothers, the museum delves into the company's history and its evolution over time. Visitors can explore a reconstruction of the 1930s era, featuring the factory, office of the Van Doren brothers, neighboring shops, pub, and vintage garage.
Really cool museum. Not very big, still a great collection of classic and modern vehicles. From tanks, fireman trucks, trucks and more. The kids love it because they can go inside of them and "play and drive". You can eat in the restaurant. There are clean toilets and a wardrobe. The different ambients are super well done. It is included in the museum card. Commuting by car with external paid parking, bus stops nearby or by foot.

Wonderful museum! I highly recommend; it has many interactions as well as statics and signs. Most signs are also in English in addition to the Dutch. We spent over two hours there and would have loved to have spent more time there!

A truly wonderful museum. There are lots of things to look at, but also to touch and try out. The staff are very helpful and explain things really well. There are even driving simulators so you can experience what it feels like to drive a truck. I highly recommend a visit here. Thank you for having me as your guest.

One of the best museums to visit in Eindhoven. You get to see all kinds of Trucks (racing, heavy duty, military etc), car (vintage, racing, wagon etc) and trolley. The museum is well maintained preserving the minute details. Information is provided for each of the vehicle. Great place to visit alone or with friends. Must visit once.

A place to experience and enjoy if you are into cars and trucks. Many old models of cars and trucks are on display. They have English translation available im the description boards for international audience.

I visited this museum during my stay in Eindhoven. It houses a vast collection of historic artifacts and provides extensive information about the Dutch Automobile Federation (DAF). The truck designs are impressive, but the cars are the most captivating aspect of the museum.

Great museum, there was much to see and to read; lots of information so you can spend easily a few hours of time there. There were very kind volunteers who explained everything thoroughly, and a charming cafetaria (the daffetaria) to have something to drink and to eat.

We went there thinking an hour is enough. But ended up staying for 2 hours. TONS of things to watch and experience, even have a couple computer simulation driving experience/game. You can sit inside a number of cars/trucks/busses so fun to take photos. They have a nice Cafe inside with delicious soup and pie. Street paid arking is available in the near by street. Great place to stop by for kids!!

Playland Beekse Bergen

4.1

Amusement park
Playland Beekse Bergen is a fantastic destination for families with kids, offering a wide range of attractions to keep children entertained. Located next to the Safari park, it features mini-golf, go-karts, trampolines, water rides and more. The play land is like a combination of a playground, theme park and beach with various playgrounds for different ages and buggy car riding. Additionally, there's a large beach by the lake where families can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Nice playground with a lot of interesting activities for the kids. The kids had a lot of fun on the slides and the pédalo. You can bring your own food and drinks into the park. Makes it an interesting place to have a (birthday) party. The toilets were very clean. I would recommend this place to both adults (for the beach and the slides :) ) and kids.

Speelland, which is part of Beekse Bergen, was a really nice surprise. It’s a mix of outdoor and indoor play areas for younger kids, and the location by the water makes it even more beautiful. There are boats, little trains, trampolines, swings, and lots of space for the kids to run around and just be kids. The beach area has a huge playground, which was already great on its own. Then we checked out the indoor part, and to be honest, we were expecting it to be stuffy and too warm, like in some of those indoor places where you feel like you're melting the moment you walk in. But this one was actually super comfortable. The ceiling is high, the ventilation is great, and the temperature was just right. It wasn’t cold or hot, just a really nice environment to be in. Inside, they’ve got all kinds of fun things for kids to do—climbing, sliding, bouncing, exploring. Everything was clean and safe, which gave us peace of mind. There’s also a restaurant and a big seating area where parents can sit back, have something to eat or drink, and still keep an eye on the kids. We did think the whole place would be a bit bigger, both inside and outside, but that didn’t really take away from the experience. The kids were happy, we were relaxed, and we ended up staying for around three hours, which flew by. All in all, it was a really good visit, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone with young children.

Beekse Bergen's play land is a fantastic place for families with kids to spend a fun-filled day. There are plenty of attractions to keep kids of all ages entertained, from mini-golf and go-karts to trampolines and water rides. The mini-golf course is well-designed and offers a variety of challenging holes that are suitable for both kids and adults. The trampolines are another highlight of the play land. They are well-maintained and offer a safe and fun way for kids to burn off some energy. There are also plenty of other attractions, that provide even more opportunities for kids to play and explore. One of the best parts of the play land is the water rides. These are great for hot summer days and provide a refreshing break from all the other activities. Overall, Beekse Bergen's play land is an impressive and well-maintained facility that provides a great day out for families with kids. There is something for everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean and safe. I highly recommend a visit to Beekse Bergen's play land for anyone looking for a fun and exciting day out with the kids.

We took our children (both under 10) for a day visit, and we were pleasantly surprised. Reasonably priced and lots of activities for the kids. There is a recently added indoor play centre with a snack bar. All facilities were clean and in good condition. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, which made a huge difference. Plenty of areas of shade and the beach sand was very clean. Highly recommended location for a day out with the family.

Nice place, very comfortable rooms and good breakfast! If you don't want to have dinner at the hotel, you can go to the Rodeo restaurant in Tilburg! Amazing. The playland has a beautiful beach and a nice lake.

Well maintained indoor gameland , my kid 5 year old had great time while we relaxed with our 5 months old and some refreshments. Good lighting and also got variety of outdoor activities

Overall a nice place. BUT be aware, if you want to take the kids to the closed part, you have to pay 3 EUR per person, including adults!!! And that is on top of your subscription!! Aparently it was not so before, so beware of this strange policy for subscription holders.

This is a very cozy hotel, placed in a former horse farm. The rooms are big, and they have a bathtub AND shower! Breakfast is ok, but the gem here is the dinner restaurant. I had the tenderest piece of veal I've ever tasted here, and they have a good selection of wine. But, on the hindside this hotel is located around 8km outside of Eindhoven (I knew this when booking, so not a complaint), and the rooms doesn't have wifi. They have wifi in the common areas, but doing some work in the rooms is impossible. But overall, this is a good hotel I would highly recommend it.

Subway is a casual, fast-food chain where you can customize your own sandwiches and salads. The staff has significantly improved over the past two years, becoming friendlier and more professional. Some employees are exceptionally charismatic. The food quality has also gotten better, making it worth a visit. Although located in an odd spot that's difficult to reach without a car, the service is fast and friendly with good quality offerings - just what you'd expect from Subway.
Fresh warm and cold drinks. Service was superb and friendly.

1 hour and 20 minutes it took them to have my sandwiches delivered off-peak hours and not only that but when they arrived they were soggy and the bread was dry, this wasn't the first time I ordered from this particular subway through Uber Eats and this one is the worst.

Edit: Since my review 2 years ago the staff has improved tremendously. People are now a lot more friendly and professional, and some employees are exceptionally charismatic. The quality of the food has improved aswel and is now definitely worth stopping by for. Food is allright, but the emloyees were busier talking to each other than helping customers or making sure the place is clean and tidy.

Fine dining restaurant
Located just outside Eindhoven in Nuenen, De Lindehof is a two-star restaurant owned by Master Chef Soenil Bahadoer. The restaurant boasts a fashionable ambiance with designer lighting and modern art, offering a unique dining experience. With Surinamese roots, the chef brings bold and creative cooking styles to the table, resulting in intense yet well-balanced flavors that take diners on an exotic culinary journey.
WOW, WOW, and a third WOW for De Lindehof. As this place comes with incredibly high expectations that were totally met, there is no need to say how amazing everything was but I would like to point out three things in particular: - The blend of spices in each dish that are ramping up and becoming more complex as you savor your meal. - The fantastic wine pairing combination. They keep it simple and neat with great wines that perfectly pair with each dish. - The courtesy and passion of the whole staff. The people working here they do it because this is what they love and this is reflected in a fantastic service. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic all around. Great chef, wonderful staff and the most awesome unique and exquisite experience
Erik B — Google review
The perfect night out for food lovers! De Lindenhof in Nuenen truly offers exquisite food. They call the head chef and owner Soenil “The Spicy Chef” and he does magical things with spices. That’s what I loved about this restaurant; it is different then many other 2/3 star Michelin restaurants and that adds to the experience. The place is small (around 25 seats) and they have created a perfect atmosphere. Staff is -as one would expect- at your every service and the wine pairing was phenomenal! Probably one of the best dinners I have enjoyed! Book well in advance. I guess it won’t be long before they get the third Michelin star. Hope to come back!
Martijn — Google review
Truly unique restaurant in the Netherlands. Not a lot of Surinam inspired fine dining restaurants exist here. A 2 Michelin star restaurant serving this cuisine is unique. Exceptional dishes, some of them are even spicy! Not the annoying burning mouth type of spicy, but the enjoyable type. Definitely one of my favorites in the Netherlands and looking forward to going back sometime in the future.
Jan K — Google review
The restaurant of the chef (borderline celebrity I would say) Soenil Bahadoer is with no doubt one of the culinary highlights of the country. The Netherlands historically mixed with a multitude of different ethnic groups from every continent but this very rarely is reflected in their fine dining offer beside a few things taken from Asian(Thai, Japanese and Indonesian mostly) cuisine here and there. At the Lindehof the experience is definitely different. Yes you'll find some French staple like the fois and the coquilles, but you'll also taste a broad spectrum of spices and spicy. The meal is balanced on every aspect: the flavors, the pace and the textures. The wine pairing was on point and well tought, maybe on the expensive side considering the absence of any high end bottle but absolutely enjoyable. The location is elegant and clean, I'd say bit impersonal though. Overall we enjoyed our meal very much and recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to have a more daring and diverse fine dining experience.
LMC A — Google review
Number 5 in Lekker, 2 Michelin stars and chef of the year. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in the Netherlands. What I really liked about it is the fact that the cuisine is so different from all the restaurants you know. It's Asian, Surinamese, perhaps some French, but most of all, it's Soenil Bahadoer. The night we were here, the chef was also present to greet all the guests. It was a long drive from Amsterdam, but totally worth it!

An amazing and interactive museum that tells about the history of Philips brand. I thought that Philips is an American brand but I was surprised it is a Netherlands brand. The museum is the 1st ever factory and laboratory which is situated in a beautiful city of Eindhoven.

A great museum in the center of Eindhoven! It's exciting to watch a 130 year technology revolution in your native language! On the other hand, the museum was smaller than I expected. I see the brilliance of historical processes in a better interactive way. But I still recommend it…

A great museum to learn about history of Philips and its connection to Eindhoven region. I liked the history of lights part. For kids there is a nice workshop upstairs Recently they also have added a section on AI and its impact on society. However, what I expected that they would have wider samples from different Radio and Television and Tape recorders etc. from thier more than half a century history, but I was bit disappointed to see only a few. Nevertheless overall definitely worth a visit.

St. Catherine's Church, also known as St. Catharinakerk, is a stunning Neo-Gothic Catholic church completed in 1867. The original structure was dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria and dates back to the 13th century but underwent severe damage from wars and fires over the years. Restored to its former glory, the current building incorporates symbolic references and features two towers representing the purity of Mary and the strength of David.
St. Catherine's Church, a magnificent building with a rich history, boasts a unique story encompassing fires, wars, and even a period of use as a stable. Its Gothic design is superb. Interestingly, archaeological excavations uncovered approximately 1000 skeletons within the church grounds.

Such a beautiful church right in the middle of the city. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere inside — it’s nice to step away from the busy streets for a while. The stained glass and high ceilings are stunning, and I loved discovering the little archaeological displays under the glass floor. It’s free to go in, which is great, and there’s plenty of space to sit and just take it all in. I just wish there were a few more signs or explanations in English, but still, I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Eindhoven

Modern art museum
Located in the Stratumseind district of Eindhoven, the Van Abbemuseum is a renowned institution for modern and contemporary art. Since its establishment in 1936, it has undergone significant renovations, including a futuristic extension surrounded by a moat. The museum's extensive collection features works by prominent artists such as Picasso, Mondrian, Chagall, and El Lissitzky. Visitors can explore a diverse range of contemporary art from both Dutch and international artists through ever-changing temporary exhibitions.
It’s a very nice museum. It’s mainly focused on abstract art, which I usually dislike a lot, but many parts of the exhibition took me by heart. The architecture of the building is also amazing, with nice balconies to observe the river. In some places, you can see 4-5 floors below, which is not the best option if you’re afraid of heights. This is the most memorable museum when it comes to feelings that it provoked.

A compact but world-class spot for modern and contemporary art. I spent just over an hour with the “Hidden Connections” exhibition—sharp curatorial storytelling and clear English labels—then cooled off in the quiet atrium café. Friendly staff, lockers for backpacks, and plenty of seating make it an easy yes if you’re in Eindhoven.

Nothing spectacular. The museum itself is nicely organized and decorated, but the exhibits are underwhelming. It mainly focuses on the exploitation of Indonesians by the Dutch, showcasing how industrialists used cheap labor. Other than that, there were videos that were uninteresting and looked unprofessional. The best feature was the images accompanied by scented papers, with the smells representing the atmosphere of each picture.

Somehow I wouldn’t go in there if I hadn’t a Ticket for the DDW . But I get suprised about the Architecture inside - like a 4 Floor Labyrinth… Kinda like it - next time I will spend more time!

I love this museum the curation is on point. I was very impressed not only with their selection of art, but also their attempt to stay ecologically friendly by locally souring the art supplies. And mostly for taking responsibility about how H van Abbe got rich on the tobacco industry regarding the Netherlands dark past in regard to indentured servitude and colonialism. Very thought provoking pieces and multicultural artist as well as young artist aswell! Not to mention how inclusive the museum is to wheelchairs, and including sensory version of art pieces! Bathrooms are non-gendered and clean 🎉

Restaurant
D'n Kleine Dommel is a family-friendly restaurant located just outside Eindhoven, surrounded by nature. They offer both lunch and dinner for takeout, with a special menu for kids including pancakes and other options. The restaurant features a spacious outdoor terrace as well as indoor seating, along with a dedicated play area for children. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes such as club sandwiches and pannenkoeken while the kids have fun in the playground or indoor playroom.
This restaurant is exceptional, boasting excellent customer service, a cozy atmosphere, and high-quality food. It's family-friendly and perfectly situated outside the city, surrounded by nature. I highly recommend enjoying the terrace on sunny days!

We had mixed feelings about this place: Pretty dark restaurant even in the day time and waiters that do not rush to serve you even when only they have a few visitors. On the other hand, their pancakes were really amazing and they have good territory and big playground and convenient free parking.

Perfect place for coffee lunch or dinner. Also very nice outside playground and indoor activities for the kids. Recommend

We’ve been going to D’n Kleine Dommel for years. In the past, their food — like their hamburgers — was wonderful, with plenty of fresh, tasty vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. The prices were fair, too. However, these days, while the taste is still good, they use fewer vegetables and the difference between lunch and dinner prices has grown, making it more expensive. That said, it’s still a lovely place. The staff are very friendly, and even when they once brought me the wrong order, they quickly replaced it and apologized. Overall, we enjoy coming here, even though the food and value have changed.

Great location with a nice kids menu. Lunch sandwiches were not big enough but very tasty. Food was a good quality.

Waitres was very rude and lied to us that all tables are reserved and placed us in front of the kitchen even the entire restaurant was empty the whole time we were there. We will never go there again.

Great atmosphere, good food and fast and friendly service. The playground is great for kids from 1 to 10.

It’s a nice place to dine for a family with young kids. The food is okay.

Restaurant
The restaurant De Watermolen van Opwetten, located just outside Eindhoven, offers a charming and characteristic setting. The building has been restored to maintain the authentic appearance and functionality of the old mill, which is famously depicted in a painting by Vincent van Gogh. The menu distinguishes between lunch and dinner options, with lunch being simpler in nature. However, those seeking a more satisfying culinary experience may prefer to explore the dinner offerings.
Beautiful place and cozy. We brought our dog along which is a bonus for us. Service is top and we feel welcome and treated well. Food is served beautifully and tastes good, especially huisgemakte cheesecake, salads lamb, zeebaars and more. It’s a nice place to enjoy the view and beautiful environment.

We got there unplanned while we were on a bicycle trip and got hungry. They have a wonderful garden restaurant surrounded by green fields and a small lake. There are couple of sitting areas outside. One with shade and one under the sun. The food is delicious, the coffee is great and the staff are so kind and welcoming. We’d love to visit again . Thank you!

Beautiful old Mill turned in an elegant restaurant. May be wise to make reservations. We lucked out and we're able to get a table for dinner on a Saturday night. Free parking too.

Fast service at a really beautiful setting. The atmosphere is perfect. We arrived on a Sunday morning no booking for coffee and cake. Had the best chai in town and friendly service. Might be my new favourite place and will definitely visit more frequently.

Food is tasty but honestly pretty overpriced. They take too long to serve you between courses. Very good selection of wines, but also those.. veeeery overpriced. Beautiful location and friendly staff.

Great placed, very relaxing. The food is excellent and the service is great ! The restaurant is also dog friendly. I had 3 appetizers and they were all very good. I will definitely come back.

The staff were borderline friendly and takes really long to come to you. It can be hard to get their attention. Only 1 guy was very friendly. Came early hoping to explore the grounds but realised that it's mostly private property. It was a nice environment nonetheless. If only the staff can be more attentive. Ordered the duck fillet. It was average. The risotto was very good. Virgin Mojito was too sweet with only 2 mint leaves. I think they depend on the syrup to create the flavor - not fantastic. The free appetiser was yummy.
