The Ludwig Pinot Nero is an absolute gem but also the Pinot Bianco and we were surprised by the rose! And lunch in the bistro was really good. All staff super attentive. Must visit!

On a rainy day, we dropped by for a wine tasting. The tasting room is an intimate place with knowledgeable, engaged staff. A great flight of 5 wines with expert explication. If you want to have a tour in addition to a tasting, a reservation is needed.

We visited the Ostaria at Castel Ringberg. Beautiful setting among the vineyards overlooking Lake Caldaro. The tasting at the wine shop left much to be desired - the young man serving didn’t seem to be particularly engaged or enthusiastic, given how amazing the wines are was a shame. Still the wines are all quite unique and elegant and definitely worth exploring.

Luisa, the wine tour guide, was without question the most knowledgeable, engaging and full of personality hostess you would ever wish for! Loved every minute being with her.

Interesting ruins of and ancient castle. The path that gets you to the top of the hill it's not too difficult to climb but you definitely need mountain boots to do this safely. The walk takes about 30 minutes from the car park at the side of the road (It isn't really easy to spot it while driving).

The parking is hard to find, but you can search for it as parcheggio castelchiaro, its literally in the curve. The path up to the ruin is quite steep, make sure you have hiking boots. If you are a rookie hiker, or if you are not the fittest you have ever been but still enjoy hiking (like my lovely mom☺️), then its about 50-60 minutes with stops to catch your breath. Otherwise you can make it in 30-40 minutes. Although its tiring, the view is absolutely worth it! The ruin itself is not much, but you can see far away in every direction.

The walk and the view are great, but you NEED to bring anti mosquito spray or long clothes. Went up there on 1st of July 2023 and there were literally swarms of these beasts. But totally worth it if you are prepared.

They had lots of local wines on offer, I had the house wine which was very cheap and pleasant to drink. Good value location for a meal and a good view.

I recently visited this restaurant with a group of colleagues, all doctors from diverse backgrounds. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the woman running the establishment treated us in an unkind, dismissive, and discriminatory manner, likely because we were not locals.
