Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Istria, Aquapark Istralandia is a vibrant waterpark that promises endless fun for visitors of all ages. With its impressive array of attractions, including towering slides and a lively wave pool, it’s an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy quality time with family or friends. This award-winning park features six swimming pools and an extensive 1.6 kilometers of thrilling water slides, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day.
A big space for everyone! Quite big and interesting, my teenagers loved it. You can take your food and drinks with you, or order in fast food cafe.

I brought five kids over two different weekdays: one a textbook perfect hot summer day, and the other cloudy, moody, and sprinkled with morning rain - the kind that scares off more than half of the bookings. And let me tell you, my dear friends: that rainy, "don’t go" day was the best one. Fewer crowds, zero lines, no elbow fights for floaties - just pure water-slide bliss. If you’re reading this trying to decide when to go, here's your tip: go when the clouds show up. Trust me. A little drizzle never hurt anyone (you’re wet anyway), and it might just give you the best day of your vacation. Now, spoiler alert: as an overgrown, oversized, and fully aged-up kid, I may have caused a few joyful physics experiments on the slides - the kind involving mass, acceleration, viscosity, and splash radius. You don’t need a science degree to understand it, but a little imagination helps. And no, I wasn’t the only adult re-living childhood at 40 km/h in a double tube. It was glorious. The place is stacked with attractions: high-speed slides, gentle splash zones, float rivers, inflatable madness, and "non-sliding" water features for lazy retirees. There’s something for everyone - whether you're five or fifty-five. You won’t need many words once you scroll through the photos and videos here. The smiles say it all. But something else deserves the five stars: the staff and management. Even though many of them are young, seasonal, probably not trained at hospitality schools, they are genuinely kind, helpful, present, and make everything feel smooth and safe. No forced smiles. Just good people making your day better. That counts. Now - kids don’t write reviews. And if they did, they wouldn’t care about the next bit. But if you’re still reading, wondering "Is it worth it?" - stop. It absolutely is. Book it. Pray for light rain A few gentle tips for the management (from the adult who pays for the tickets): Even though the food is decent, it feels like it’s not. A little love in presentation, a friendlier ordering process, and some signage showing where other food options are (without a scavenger hunt) would go a long way. And while the kids are here for splashing, I’m here for flavor. Give us something a little special too - maybe a grill corner, a salad bar with real forks, or just one item that says: Hey adult, we see you! Still - bravo. You’ve built something joyful. We’ll be back. Possibly wetter, possibly louder, definitely happier.

We visited Istralandija on a Tuesday in September during the off season and had a wonderful time. The park is very clean and offers a wide variety of water slides. Since it was a cloudy day and not peak season, there were very few people which made the experience even better. The slides include popular types such as rocket, free fall, and the more intense ones often called back breakers, along with fun rides that use float
Sara V — Google review
We visited Istralandia with our two small children (4 years old and 4 months old). Unfortunately, a neighboring sun umbrella—left unattended—was blown over by the wind and hit my wife. One of its exposed metal rods broke loose and left a mark on her leg. Immediately after it happened, we called a nearby staff member for help, but he reacted angrily and pushed the umbrella about 20 cm aside with visible frustration on his face before walking away. Because of this, we asked to speak with the manager, Danijel Lucic. Unfortunately, his response was arrogant and dismissive. He said that “he can’t control the weather” and refused to replace the dangerous umbrella. Additionally, some umbrella bases appear to be too small, making the umbrellas unstable even in light wind. We noticed this happening with several other guests’ umbrellas as well. This kind of attitude and lack of preventive safety measures is unacceptable in a family-friendly water park. Safety should always come first—especially with so many small children around. We expected more responsibility and care from the management. Sadly, we’re disappointed with how the situation was handled.

Went on a grey afternoon & pretty much had park to ourselves! Kids were done in just over 2 hours! They loved it! But why charge €3 on top of the hefty entrance fee for parking, & then another €6 for a locker!!

Very nice water Park.clean area but dirty bathrooms.the Changing cabins outside were smelling strong Urin There was no waiting Que at the entry even though we were there on Sunday The food Price and variety was really Ok At the entry they Charge 9€ for bed and umbrella and 3€ for Parking which is absolutely unnecessary as the Parking is open for all and there is no Control if you have Ticket or no and same as Beds ,they were many beds Occupied without Ticket and no body was Controlling it . In total we had a great time and we will definitely visit again.
Saghar M — Google review
Fun place for families. Crowded and you have to wait at many attractions but still it is okay. Recommended.

I visited a year later and I am changing to 5 stars. The food is still water park food, but new items and better quality. The park is really clean. The new grassed area is fantastic also. Bring towels and remember no cash. Excellent place to visit …………….. The water slides are great. The seating is average, lots of umbrellas that don’t work and generally not that well kept. The food is edible but best avoided. Bring a credit card as no cash can be used inside.

Restaurant
Nestled near the marina, Tri Palme is a delightful gem that serves authentic Istrian cuisine from late March to late October. Diners can enjoy their meals on a sunny terrace while savoring flavorful fish soup and delectable risotto and pasta dishes that are hard to beat in Novigrad. The restaurant has a charming vibe, attracting both locals and tourists alike, especially during the unique Mick Jagger Day celebration on July 26.
A local recommended this restaurant to us and it was indeed a good suggestion. The seafood plate was remarkable, very juicy and not overly salty. The meat plate was not as good as seafood plate but also good. The dishes are served with a hot iron plate so the food stays warm. The staff speaks good German and was very accommodating and friendly.

If I could give it 10 stars I would. Everything was top notch. We were in town for 5 nights and ate here twice. The owner gave great recommendations and was so friendly. Best part...dog friendly!! Gave our pup water, treats and pets. Awesome!

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. They allowed us to park our bikes outside while we ate an exquisite dinner. The wine local white was wonderful. Fresh baked bread. Table cloth, open air table. Servers in aprons and white shirts - wonderful presentation. We would definitely return.

Out of season, my girlfriend, our dog, and I visited this restaurant. Bringing our dog onto the terrace wasn’t an issue—he even got water and some treats. The waiter was very friendly and genuine. Even though there’s no direct sea view, the ambiance was lovely and homely. The prices might be slightly higher, but considering the quality and quantity of the food, it was actually quite reasonable. We ordered the fish platter, and all the food was excellent, with more than enough to eat. For the fish platter, a liter of sparkling water, 0.25 liters of very tasty white wine, and a greek salad, we paid 75 euros. We also got a complimentary shot of brandy from the house. There was an empty parking spot right in front of the restaurant. I’m not sure how busy it gets during the season, though.

Beach
Located just a short walk or bike ride from the town center, Green beach Karpinjan is a charming pebble beach ideal for families with small children. The large size of the beach and its shallow sea entry make it perfect for kids, while the surrounding pine trees provide natural shade. Additionally, there are cafes, a patisserie, and a restaurant conveniently located alongside the beach.
You can find a nice spot in the shade of the pine trees if you come early enough 🌲 The beach is also great for kids or non-swimmers because water is shallow for almost 50m but after that you can even dive🤿 It is adapted for disabled people with ramps that lead into the sea🦼 Water is not dirty but appears so because of the “sludge” from the seabed that rises up when there’s a lot of people walking and swimming 🏊

ideal for families with small children. there is a playground nearby, there is also a kiosk where there is ice cream for 2 euros. offer of various sports. sunbed and boxing are overpriced. stones are sharper, it is good to have water shoes
Sagi1984 — Google review
The beach is nice but in the water is a lot of sea grass and jellyfish. The water is not very clean. However it is really good spot with a lot of pine trees for shadow. At the beach is a bar, mini golf, wc, sup etc
Ambroz Z — Google review
We stayed in Novigrad for three nights. This little beach, although made of shingle was gorgeous and we hired a gazebo and two sunbeds for 160Kn. So glad of the shade as the weather was hot. There are a few bars and a great restaurant called Lungomare where we had lunch.
Maureen G — Google review
Very nice beach not far from the center. There is a possibility to rent sup boards, bicycles and water bikes.
Olga B — Google review
Clean and nice beach. Lots of shade few meters from the beach and nice for family because the water is shallow
Ádám B — Google review
There are better beaches/rock spots in the area, but it's good enough if you are staying nearby. Plenty of shade under the trees, showers, a few restaurants/bars, outdoor gym. Some services closed mid September. Water shoes needed, we saw a lot of small pieces of glass on the beach and also access to the sea not easy.
Z P — Google review
Shade from the pine trees is great. Artificial pebbles are too big so going in and out is a bit of a hassle. Nice for famillies with small kids due to shallow water. View to old Novigrad town is nice.

Restaurant
Konoba Nino, also known as Tavern Nino, is a charming restaurant situated in Novigrad, Istria. Despite being a bit of a drive from the town, the experience it offers is well worth it. The restaurant's stone walls and terrace nestled among olive trees create an inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home for food enthusiasts. Guests are treated to complimentary fresh bread and high-quality olive oil at their tables, setting the stage for the culinary adventure that awaits them.
Great service, very popular with locals and tourists unlike. We got a huge mixed seafood platter for two and it was cooked to perfection, the best dinner we had on our 4 week trip. It was actually a bit too much food as we had scallops/fish/calamari/squid, I could not stop eating. The house white (Malvazija) was fantastic with the food. Service was attentive, it took a while to get food as they cook on order (~45min) but was well worth the wait.

Very good food. The restaurant is a bit more on the expensive side but by no means overvalued. Only complaint would go toward their desserts as they are not of the quality expected after an exquisite steak. Otherwise, it is very much recommended

Disappointing. Low quality food. Likely the worst food in Istria we’ve had so far. Salads were dismal. Pizza a big let down.. Cheese was the only good part, but don’t expect variety- it’s a few slices of one type of sheep cheese on a board. Surprised. Felt like a cheap pizzeria. Would not be back.

Jane C — Google review
The crowded restaurant has a nice terrace but lacks a sea view, contributing to a noisy environment. We were disappointed with the food quality, despite large portion sizes. - Starter: The octopus carpaccio was dry and tasteless. - Main Course: - The orade and rosemary lemon sauce was bland and baked potatoes were greasy. - Squid: Slightly better but still lacking for a seafood specialty. Summary: - Strengths: - Pleasant terrace setting. - Generous portion sizes. - Weaknesses: - Food quality did not meet expectations for a seafood restaurant. - Noise levels detracted from the experience Overall Impression: The experience fell short of expectations.

Great little museum in the old town of Novigrad. The price is fair and there is a lot of things to see for it. The owner is very nice and anyone who has interest in ships or history should visit this place. If you are visiting during winter months do call to check if they are working.

If you like seafood in all it's forms then you must come here. Such fresh raw and cooked fish and shellfish you just can't get many places. The way they served some of the dishes in front of you was very entertaining. Yes, you don't get a menu and yes, you don't get a wine menu but come on! They know what they are doing and you can trust them to bring you the best choices. It was so good we came back a second time.
Ian J — Google review
I was looking forward to the restaurant experience. The beginning was quite promising. Otherwise, we didn't get a menu, but we indulged. It was an experience that the food was being prepared on the fly, in front of us. The first plate of tuna and shrimp, ok, I was a bit confused by the tuna at the beginning, where I didn't taste fresh tuna. The second plate, I will not describe each one separately, because there would be too many comments, based on the flavors themselves. The olive oil they use is the same on every plate. The plate with squid, which was presented and cut in front of us, I was expecting the top of the flavors, unfortunately I couldn't eat it, they didn't refill the wine even once. But when we wanted to order again, we couldn't because they weren't chilled, due to the next table drinking the same wine. We didn't even get a wine list. The Catalan lobster stuck between my teeth, it was dry and had no added value. The plates were without techniques. We did not continue with the dishes. The bill per person is… no comment.

Loved this small place since the first time I set foot in it. Very fresh ingredients, back to basics-let the ingredients do the talking kind of place. You cannot do better for tje raw seafood in the area. A must

Very expensive, and they only give the option of the fixed menu, which costs 150€ per person. Due to terrible communication regarding cost, we left after the first two courses, which were absolutely delicious, but tiny. This, in addition to the wine, cost 60€ per person. The experience was awkward and uncomfortable, and I would not recommend unless you’re willing to pay 150€ per person and accept the fixed, 7-course menu.

Amazing experience! If you love raw fish, this is the best place to visit! Together with great selectin of wine you can get one of the best experience in your lifetime! Do not be fooled by some comments that it is very expendive, which is not. And yes, it is really hard to get in during main tourist season, which is no excuse to give them bad rating.

Trattoria Gatto Nero, located in a discreet alley by the ocean since 1982, specializes in delectable dishes crafted with meticulously chosen local ingredients, often organic. Renowned for their warm hospitality and inviting ambiance, this cozy eatery offers exceptional regional cuisine. Whether it's the seafood delicacies, boskarin meat, or scrambled eggs adorned with black or white truffles, every bite leaves patrons with an indelible expression of bliss and contentment.
While visiting Novigrad, we decided to check out Konoba Gatto Nero. By chance, we asked two random ladies about it, only to find out they owned the building where the restaurant is located! Naturally, we decided to have dinner there. OMG!!! Let me tell you, the food was incredible, with each dish better than the last. Our dishes were based on Istrian Boškarin, and they were exceptionally delicious. The staff was amazing and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The cozy and charming ambiance added to the overall delightful dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone living in or visiting Novigrad.

A great little restaurant just off the main drag and as such tries that little bit harder and it’s worth a visit. Reasonable prices delicious local food with an Italian twist made for a lovely evening. Get away form the hustle and bustle of the centre or sea front and step inside this hidden gem (outside seating is available!)

Great food and staff. We ordered some scallops and the homemade ravioli with prawn tails and black truffle to share as a group. It was fantastic and quite a big portion as well. Our main courses were all great as well and none of us was hungry after that. We couldn't order any drinks or a dessert after that as none of the servers showed up after taking away our plates. But this was maybe due to the fact that it was near the closing time. All in all it was great and i would recommend visiting if you are around.

We ate homemade ravioli with cheese and truffles for an appetizer, which we always eat at Gatto Nerro because it's something our whole family loves, and we chose lighter main dishes - octopus salad and steak salad, and everything was fantastic. My daughter ate the scallops, which were fresh and tasty. Top quality food. Absolute recommendation.

This place offers high and low! We chose the higher price category for our lunch! The service was a bit "sleepy" this visit, but that could be because they just opened! The food was delicious. Nothing to complain about! As a bonus, we got a small "welcome plate" as an aperitif on the house! Overall, I can recommend a visit!

Don't look at the menu, order the ravioli gamberi tartuffo. I had an excellent fresh sliced carpaccio. My son an excellent grilled steak. The gnocchi with goulash from my wife was also recommendable. Also the cocquilles st jaques grilled were spot on. But... I had the homemade ravioli with cheese filling, with a small shrimp cream sauce, generously covered in rasped Black truffle. I made a new reservation on the spot for a few days later. Need, not must have but need, to have this again during this holiday. What a dish! Nice rose as well. Only down side was that the view was gone and you had to look at a half built hotel of a few levels high instead of a nice sea view.

Delightful dinner in a lovely garden with good food and wine, topped off by attentive and friendly service staff. We had been a group of 5 with dogs without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table. Within a short period of time the place filled up. Our waiter was polite and welcomed us professionally yet relaxed. He was knowledgeable on the menu and daily offers and worked swiftly. I informed the waiter about my food intolerances which was taken seriously, and the waiter answered my questions patiently. He assured me that whenever possible they try to make adjustments to dishes to suit someone’s dietary requirements, which is manageable as dishes are prepared from scratch. However, according to the waiter, when really busy it might not be fully possible due to limited resources and kitchen space. Our group received an entrée (“kitchen greeting”), and I had been served with a dish specially made for me (to suit my dietary requirements), which I do not take for granted and appreciate highly, as it isn’t common practice. It also happened to match my taste ideally. The mains (fish and meat) were excellent. Tasteful, well-balanced seasoning, good texture, generous portion size and high-quality ingredients. Dishes are made to order yet served within a reasonable time. The fish was served in an iron tray which looked rustic and made a nice visual impression which adds another point to the already lovely dinner. The menu offers typical local cuisine with quite a selection of choices that suit a broad variety of taste. They also serve dedicated gluten free dishes (veggie and meat based). The white truffle season has just started out and dishes with these are quite expensive but worth every penny. The prize ranges of the other dishes are according to expectation and justified given the quality of the food. Groups should definitely make a booking when visiting at main dinner times, but one can always try to get a table by walking in.

Surprisingly good price and very tasty food. Yes try it, we were here with kids and they also offer some special dishes for them. Proce for pizza was around 10-15 euros and one order was large enough for a larger man.

I ordered a beef soup, but it was served without any beef. It seemed to be made from just a bouillon cube with some parsley and a few noodles. It was nothing like a proper beef soup. The main course tasted like something you could make at home on a barbecue. As for the food, I would strongly advise against this place.

We turned up at almost 7pm as a party of 6, 5 adults and a child. Despite initially being turned away, the owner came running out and offered us a table! The atmosphere was fabulous and the service was great! The food was ohhhhh so good too! Including wine, meals and water, it came to just €120 for us all!!! Amazing and will be back next year!!

We have stumbled upon this restaurant while city seeing. An old kind lady invited us inside. The menu is quite large with a large variety of food. The prices are diverse so when you are in a budget you can still fill your stomach. The portions are big and very tasty. I can recommend this place with my whole heart.

The restaurant is really nice. It's easier if you have a reservation, since it's quite crowded. There were a lot of different dishes to choose from and so far everything was tasty and fresh. The location is in the town center so there is no parking nearby but the city is beautiful. We had lobster and it was delicious. I recommend it.

Sidro is a renowned eatery in Novigrad, Croatia, known for its long-standing presence in the local tourist scene. As a family-run establishment, Sidro has been satisfying patrons with its delectable seafood dishes since the early days of Istrian tourism. Situated by the fishermens marina, this classic restaurant offers a picturesque sea view and prides itself on sourcing fish exclusively from the immediate vicinity.
I was walking around Novigrad looking for a place to eat when I stumbled upon Sidro. A kind lady approached me with such a warm, welcoming vibe that I couldn’t say no – and I’m glad I didn’t. I ordered the fried calamari (lignje), and they were absolutely delicious. The hospitality was great, with friendly waiters and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend it – 9/10!

We were treated with no respect by the staff. We could not pay separately and the gentleman in the picture spoke to us very indignantly. (As if we disturbed him by our presence) The food was tasteless. It's a pity that there is still a restaurant in 2024 with such service. I have traveled to Croatia with love every year...but I have never met like this before. The 4.3 star reviews made me want to eat there, but they are totally untrue. I do not recommend at all.
Vasile K — Google review
This restaurant is well presented and service was very good. However... that will only get you so far and overall I was somewhat disappointed with our meal here. While the dishes were tasty enough, I felt the serving sizes were small and prices rather high for what was offered.
Robin R — Google review
Great restaurant with fantastic food. This is a family owned business through several generations. The brother and sister currently running the restaurants are friendly and passionate about their food and restaurant. This is a must go place when near Novigrad. The restaurant gets their seafood fresh from the fisherman every morning across from the restaurant. We enjoyed our fish and shellfish looking over the harbor. Fish soup was light and a nice start to the meal. The broth on the mixed shellfish plate and the mussels were also light and flavorful. We also had the truffle pasta and truffle beef. But the grilled fish and the scampi are the stars of this place.

We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the owner and the waitresses were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Their attentiveness and willingness to accommodate every request really stood out. The ambiance was warm and cozy, giving off a true feeling of homeliness, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was exceptional: we started with a delicious appetizer, followed by perfectly cooked calamari and pasta with fresh seafood that was full of flavor. To finish, the dessert was simply perfect — the kind that leaves you smiling long after the last bite. Everything about this visit exceeded our expecta tions, and we will come back!

The bottom-line: this was a local recommendation but we ended up being a little bit disappointed. No doubt, the sea food was fresh and the quality of the ingredients high. The starters were OK, but the main dishes rather boring and not very tasty. The main problem was the rush, every dish just appeared. We had 3 courses and after approximately 1h we found ourselves on the street again—and we had asked to slow down the process. So if you are in a hurry….

Novigrad, a historical landmark, exudes tranquility with its serene atmosphere and captivating architecture. During winter, when the tides recede and the wind softly whispers through the air, this old town becomes a haven of beauty. With its splendid structures that reflect a bygone era, Novigrad offers visitors an awe-inspiring journey into history. The city walls provide an ideal route for leisurely strolls, allowing one to fully appreciate the magnificence of this ancient gem.
We are happy to return and visit Novigrad because it is an exceptionally beautiful and well-decorated town. Its rich history makes it more attractive and interesting. Among other things, its beauty is made up of city walls, which are well preserved. The historic core of the city was completely surrounded by walls. Entering the Venetian possession of the city, in the 13th century, rack walls are erected on the late antique remains. As an ancient antique city, once again at the very edge of Celtic migration, Novigrad has been at the crossroads of the bustling historical events during its history. During its turbulent history often fell into the hands of various invaders, attacked by land and sea, but also with the devastations of plague, the greatest threat of the Middle Ages, which on several occasions almost killed the entire population. During the summer months concerts are taking place and the city is crowded with people. The atmosphere is always great.

(Translated by Google) Despite the name the city has, it is not a newly established town. "Civitas Novum" was already heard in antiquity, but in the Middle Ages it flourished, even despite the constant change of the sphere of influence (Byzantine Empire, Roman Empire, Republic of Venice). Fragments of the defensive walls from that period have still been preserved, while all buildings inside the city were rebuilt in the Venetian Gothic style. Currently, it is a town supported mainly by tourism and all services directly related to it. A beautiful, small town that is definitely worth visiting while on the Italian-Slovenian-Croatian peninsula of Istria.

(Translated by Google) Contrary to its name, Novigrad (Cittanova), i.e. New Town, is not so new, as it is mentioned in documents as early as the end of the 6th century, although it was still called Emonia, which was built on the remains of a Roman settlement that was established on the site of a Greek colony. The historic city is located on the former island, the prestigious, partisan city walls have largely survived from the coast. In the summer, it is difficult to find a place in the parking lots in front of the old town, there are no free spaces, we drove around for at least a quarter of an hour until we found small paid parking lots in front of the shopping stores beyond the harbor, a 15-minute walk away. Despite this small difficulty, it is worth visiting this beautiful, cozy town. (Original) Novigrad (Cittanova), azaz Újváros, nevével ellentétben nem is annyira új, hiszen már a 6. század végén említik dokumentumok, igaz akkor még Emonia néven, mely egy görög kolónia helyén létrejött római település maradványaira épült. Our last visit was no different, quite the contrary, it was the mastery at the highest level, so that we were wondering why Marina doesn't have a Michelin star? The food was delicate, well presented, authentic, innovative and very respectful to what the neighboring seas and lands and traditions have to offer. Highly recommended, and definitely worth the investment!

Beautiful place, amazing food, superb service, wine was great! Probably the best sea food place I have been to, everything was amazing, both carpacios were brutal!

If you look for a unique fine dining seafood experience - this is your place. We took the 8-course menu, yes - 8 fish courses, desert ordered separately. It is a family run place, perfect service and food. Wine pairing offered gives you insight to unique wines from Istria, also highly recommended.

Some of the best food we've ever had. The scampi with almond was out of this world and then they brought out the squid with ricotta which was even better. I don't know why this doesn't have at least one Michelin star!! If you love seafood you just have to go. Unusual to have a family restaurant that is so good. Mother, father and son all working together to produce an exceptional experience.

The food here is amazing! We took 6 course meal with wine pairing and every piece of food was perfect. It was so good that we came here for the second time and half of the menu was changed as they were using fresh ingredients they had that day. All food was fish/sea based. The deserts were tasty as well.

Elegantly prepared dishes of local seafood and accompaniments. We had the 8 course and it was a great value for the quality and care to detail. The staff pairs perfect local wines to match the flavors and textures. We will remember this meal for a long time. Thank you! As New Yorkers we would place Marina up with the best our city has to offer.

Marina Nautica Novigrad

Marina
Marina Nautica Novigrad is a charming seafront restaurant located by the marina in Novigrad, offering a limited selection of exquisite seafood dishes. Chef Marina Gasi insists on using ultra-fresh ingredients sourced directly from the Adriatic Sea, resulting in high praise for the restaurant. The marina itself offers good infrastructure and modern facilities, with friendly staff and easy access to the city center and a beautiful beach.
Very nice marina with good infrastructure of the hotel Nautica (indoor pool, sauna) that can be used. Friendly staff and modern washrooms. Restaurant Nautica ok but could be improved. Short walk to city center with many nice restaurants and entertainment and to the nice beach on the other side.

The restroom facilities have an unpleasant odor, parking issues, additional charges for electricity and water, and the garbage disposal area is far away.
NC S — Google review
Disappointing experience – inflexible and unaccommodating I had booked a two-night stay but had to adjust my plans unexpectedly after the first night. I reached out to amend the reservation, but the hotel showed zero flexibility and insisted on charging the full amount, despite clear communication and a genuine effort to find a fair solution. Rigid policies are one thing, but the complete lack of understanding or goodwill was disappointing. This kind of customer service leaves a lasting negative impression — I won’t be returning, and I would advise other travelers to be cautious if your plans might need any adjustment.

The Wine bar & shop Mandrač by Pervino is located in a different spot than indicated. However, it can be found near the bar Mandrac. It may take some time to locate, but once you arrive, you'll discover a selection of quality wines and delicious snacks at reasonable prices. The staff are excellent and have impressive knowledge about the local wines available. The ambiance is pleasant, offering a view of the charming old port.
Super helpful staff, perfect place to be part of a busy (but enjoyable) harbour night. Be there 2x within 3 days.Do not miss the terrace. See you next summer.

Wonderful little bar in Novigrad. Plenty of seating outside, a very well stocked selection of wines and olive oil inside, and everywhere was super clean and tidy. The Istria Plate is a must have to eat, deffinately order one with drinks. Staff are excellent, Xenija was the best, really welcoming and clearly put all her love in to making the food. Excellent location near to the port and car park, and plenty of regular evening events, hopefully will visit again soon.

What a GEM of a place! Perfectly situated winebar in the old stone barn. During this summer 2023 we have been here many times...with my parents, with adult children, with our friends and just the two of us. You can sit down and chillout with the glass of wine. I love their Malvazija and Muškat žuti. If you have a chance, got to stop by and hang out with Dajana, Nešo and their team. They are genuine and so fun. Great job, guys! See you soon.

Despite not offering any pizza, Konoba pizzeria Roma still managed to appear first when searching for "pizza." However, this lack of pizza may result in a lower rating. On the positive side, the staff at this family-run restaurant is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. The food served here is also of good quality. After your meal, don't forget to try their homemade schnaps. This place is worth visiting multiple times due to its outstanding quality and location.

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant Al Mare Novigrad offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully blends the elements of fire, sea, sun, and wind. Whether you choose to sit indoors or on the charming balcony overlooking the shoreline, you'll feel immersed in nature's ambiance. The staff is exceptionally friendly and eager to assist, even if there are occasional language barriers. Guests have noted that while bread isn't always complimentary, its freshness makes it worth paying for if offered.
The staff are extremely friendly. Some of them don't fully understand English but they try their best. The drinks orders are fast and the food also doesn't take too long. I've seen some reviews point out that the bread isn't complimentary but we did not get charged for it so I think there is some confusion. I would however happily pay for the bread if they ask me if I would like it but that it would be at a certain price because the bread is very fresh and really delicious. The atmosphere is also very nice. I had the Dorado and my wife the seafood pasta and both were very good. The Dorado fish was very well cooked. I would simply add a sauce (maybe on the side) like a garlic butter or so since that would make it a 10/10 (they do have sauce you can order on the menu). I took my fish with fries rather than the spinach. My wife's seafood pasta was also very good. Overall it was a good option. Since we had a hard time finding updated prices for the menu, I decided to post them.
Wilhelm C — Google review
We had a bad experience here. I’ll give the benefit of doubt and say it’s maybe due to the start of the season 12/05/25. My wife had gnocchi with four cheeses which she said was nice. I ordered the chicken kebabs which were terrible. I brought this to the waiters attention and he attempted to tell me it was their particular style and cooked correctly. I’m an ex-chef and owner of three restaurants and a works canteen in a shipyard . I would not have served these kebabs to the guys at the shipyard and their needs were basic. Instead of searing them on a high heat as normal, the cook at this restaurant put them under a low temperature gas grill or maybe even microwaved them. The chicken was almost transparent, it was so dried out and the peppers and onions in between the meat was dried to a crisp. No sear marks whatsoever. After the 5 minute or so ‘argument’ with the waiter, they finally agreed to make fresh kebabs. The second lot were cooked properly and the difference was astounding. So they knew very well that they served me substandard rubbish the first time. Lesson to be learned here; don’t attempt to screw your customers and then lie to cover your errors in an effort to save a few euros. On a positive note, the location is excellent, which is why we chose to eat there. I gave two stars because my wife’s food was fine and one of the three waiters was pleasant and genuinely appeared to care. I gave 3-star for atmosphere simply because of the bad experience and the fact that we were the only customers there throughout the meal. Maybe we should have taken a hint from that in itself…

After reading few reviews, wedecided to stop there for lunch. I need to say, first impression from the menu was a bit strange - kind of cheap chinese restaurant like... but after that, everything was as it should be - from the first contact with the staff to the quality and the quantity of all meals. Place is in almost perfect location and it is nice and clean. It is not fancy, but it was obvious before going there so no surprise at all. Can we recommend? Yes, we can ;-)

Disappointing Experience – Beware! We dined at this restaurant with my family on August 10th at 7:30 PM after reading many excellent reviews. Despite the high prices, we decided to give it a try. We ordered a selection of appetizers, including mussels, and two plates of linguine with scampi. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what the reviews had led us to expect. Perhaps they were overwhelmed by the number of tourists, but the quality of the food was disappointing. Later that evening, all of us fell ill with vomiting and diarrhea, which even forced us to stop on the road during our journey. If you're considering eating here, be cautious. Our experience was terrible, and it seems like they might struggle with handling a full house. We won't be returning.

Decent food, but overpriced for what it is. Service staff, with one exception (the tall chap with very short hair), left much to be desired. One staff member in particular would benefit from some basic customer service 101 training. A little genuine engagement goes a long way. Don’t talk down to your guests or make them feel like they’re interrupting your own evening’s in-house entertainment with your colleagues.

Quaint, high-end restaurant with delicious food! It mainly specializes in grilled fish and meat with a large barbecue in the center of the restaurant - you can even see your food being grilled in front of you if you’re sitting inside. We were told that fish are locally sourced only, because of that the offer can vary from day to day. Also note that certain dishes have to be shared between at least two people, otherwise you can’t order them.

This winery, Pervino Winery, is highly praised by visitors. They have a wide range of wine options and a delicious charcuterie plate. The staff members are extremely friendly and welcoming. This positive experience made one person return with their partner for another visit, where the service was once again exceptional. The prices are reasonable as well. In summary, this winery is recommended to anyone interested in trying Croatian wines because of its great selection and warm atmosphere.
Visiting Pervino winery is the best choice we made this whole trip. After looking at TripAdvisor we wanted to go to the winery. First we went to the wine bar in Novigrad center and one day after we called to reserve a wine tour for 3 persons (the price is incredible at only 35€ per person). We had a great tasting of 6 incredible wines, a tour of the wine making process, tasting of local cheeses, meats, olives and olive oil and had an incredible picnic next to a beautiful tree overlooking the vineyards. The guest, our winery guide, was super sweet and helpful. All in all we had a wonderfull time at Pervino and we highly recommend to anyone to visit this amazing winery and get an awesome wine tasting tour.

If you visit around the region, it’s must-go place. An amazing experience! It offers variety of wine and high quality cheese plate filled up with all regional products. Only you need to somehow manage to get there, since it’s bit out of the town and hard to reach by public transportation or by foot

Lovely place with amazing wines, tasty food platters and cozy environment. The hostess Stefani was so friendly and gave us a thorough explanation of what we were served all detailed story of every wine, and answered all our questions. The interior of the winery is something else. It’s so beautifully decorated and we were so pleasantly surprised. The food platter was consisting of local products and it was delicious. Five stars all the way! This wine picnic completely exceeded our expectations. The setting on the hill is simply stunning, and the picnic basket was packed with fresh, flavorful bites that paired beautifully with the wines. Everything felt both generous and carefully curated. What really surprised us is the value, for the quality and the whole experience, the price is great. This is an experience not to be missed. Can’t wait to return.

I only have happy things to say about this place. We first visited in June 2022 with friends. We had a lovely selection of wine, great charcuterie plate and a really friendly hostess. Because of that good experience my partner and I came back for another visit. Again the service was great and the wine was lovely. The prices are pretty good too. Hoenstly, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to try some Croatian wines. We bought about 30 bottles with no regrets. If the owners read this: know you have something special with the wine and people you have. We hope to be back again! ❤️

There are wines available for all budgets. Definitely would return!

Belvedere Loggia is a charming spot in the old town, offering a romantic view of the Adriatic Sea. It's an ideal place to capture stunning sunsets, especially since it faces southwest. The 16th-century loggia, located on the old city wall near the main square, provides a picturesque view of the sea and the impressive city walls. Novigrad itself is a lovely small town with quaint streets and shops overlooking the sea.

Nestled close to the harbor, Bistro-Pizzeria Mamma Mia is a bustling gem that promises a delightful dining experience. With its simple yet diverse menu, it caters to various tastes without breaking the bank. Diners rave about their delicious pizzas and hearty carbonara, while the grilled octopus also garners praise. The generous portions ensure you leave satisfied, and don’t miss out on their house wine served by the carafe!
After a bit of googling we decided to visit this place! Close to the harbour! It is well-visited and busy! We were lucky and were given a table! The menu is simple and has everything for most people's desires. The prices are very reasonable! The pizza is well-approved, the carbonara too! The grilled octopus was good and delicious! The house wine on the carafe was not ashamed either! Good portions that fill you up. Recommend a visit! Some locals sitting at the tables and that also gives some guarantees and approval!

Had dinner here one evening and came back two days later for lunch as we were all craving the pizza! Had both pizza and spaghetti bolognese, both were great. It isn’t listed on the menu, but they have a gluten free pizza crust option, too. Great pizza at a very reasonable price!

Pizza was delicious. Staff was very nice and added a local vide to the experience. Plenty of seating space inside and outside. We visited in late-May, so that might be why.

Absolutely terrible in the hot weather my mother and sister wore bikini tops instead of t shirts we sat OUTSIDE and still the servers turned us away even when we were the ONLY customers there absolutely outrageous

Taverna Sergio is a charming family-run establishment that has been delighting diners for over twenty years, thanks to the passion of former footballer Sergio Makin. Nestled in a hidden garden, this restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere where you can savor Istrian and international cuisine. The menu features delectable house specialties like lobster with tagliatelle, risotto with scampi and asparagus, and fuzi pasta infused with truffles.
We have tried chicken with mozarella and tomato, fried sqiuds and desserts like panacotta with fruits, semifreddo and something what was similar to apfelstrudel. That last dessert was common only in name with this served in Austria. It wasn't as tasty as I remember that mentioned above. Everything else was very nice. p.s. great fried fish and sea food plate we have tried other day.

During my two week vacation in Novigrad I got the worst meal here. The food was served on fancy big plates but the taste was very ordinary and the portions to small.

Excellent. We ordered Burgers. They were huge and Delicious! Mine had blue cheese - which was a generous slab of cheese. We ate on the patio which was comfortable and breezy. Service was friendly. Free parking. Free appetizer of bread, Olives and home made aioli.

Amazing octopus salad! 🫶 Various ingredients that perfectly fit together. Freshness explosion together with very tenderly cooked octopus. During end of August - one can dine in a garden that is covered with hanging kiwie fruits 🤩

Expected much more looking to the score of the restaurant. Black risotto was nothing special. Burgers were on average. Portions are ok. They said are famous for burgers and tapas. Parking is across the road.

Just go there & you’ll end up in food coma/heaven ❤️ firstly, the lady on the phone was very kind, then the whole experience = food & service was totally worth the journey & money. We come to Novigrad regularly and will come back for sure.

Wow, beautiful setting. Menu is available in several languages. Service was very friendly and super fast. A large selection of Tapas. We ate the Pasta which was Devine. A fantastic mix of high quality ingredients and fresh produce. I look forward to eating here again soon

I truly enjoyed my Angus blue cheese burger and the burgers there are decadent, giant and "rich" with fresh ingredients. I tried Pulled pork burger and Anni and all were very delicious. We didn't know about the portions there so we "dare" to order Alioli potatoes and shrimps - all was very tasty.Very good value for money (photo of the check included). The place is clean and kids friendly with a big park place in front of it, across the main street. Very cosy and you can feel as at home.

Great restaurant to eat. Personnel was absolutely friendly. Food was great in perfect portions. Serving of the food they did so pretty quick. Over all I really recommend to eat here. Please remember to make a reservation up front.

Very good food. You don't have to wait very long, nice service. However, I advise you to reserve a table. We didn't do it and we couldn't sit outside, the garden is really beautiful. The portions of food are very large and it is also possible to take the rest of the food out.
