The Citadel of Montreuil, constructed in 1585 on the remnants of a former royal castle, is an enchanting destination for families and history enthusiasts alike. As you pass through its grand entrance, you're invited to explore the ancient walls, towers, and dungeons that spark curiosity—especially among children who are drawn to Queen Bertha's Tower with its rumored hauntings. The citadel has a rich history as a defensive structure against Viking invasions and has undergone numerous expansions over the centuries.
Wow,... what a wonderfull environment. This fortified town has a lot to offer. Great restaurants (i advise 'Le Patio'), a museum, fortifications, a nice camping on the slope to the citadel, hiking trails around the city,... wonderfull.

The Citadel of Montreuil and its surrounding ramparts are truly fascinating. Walking through this historic site feels like stepping back in time, with ancient stone walls whispering stories of the past. The peaceful blend of history and nature creates a magical atmosphere — from the impressive architecture to the serene green landscapes. It’s a perfect place to explore, reflect, and appreciate the beauty of Montreuil’s rich heritage. Highly recommended for anyone who loves history, scenic walks, and a deep sense of connection to the past.

A cracking historical relic, which when considered with the surrounding cobbled streets and architecture provides a great experience. Very well presented and interesting information boards added to the value. Not a criticism but an observation for others, both my wife and I have impaired mobility which meant we couldn’t maximise our experience. That said we could see more than enough to appreciate this special place. At €7 it is incredible value.
Dave R — Google review
Nice walled town with high walls, old moat and other features. Free to walk around. Relaxed atmosphere, nice town square with bars and restaurants. Free parking. Vintage car meet when we were there.
Chris D — Google review
Historic site, well laid out and worth a visit. For €6,50 entrance you get a booklet with good info. Not easy to follow the audio tour, so I ended up just walking around.
Anton Z — Google review
Well worth a visit. Good value. Only a short walk from town centre. Fascinating history from medieval to WW2.
John P — Google review
The citadel was built on the ruins of a former royal castle. It’s Montreuil’s most exceptional feature and a unique fortified set of buildings in the North of France 🇫🇷 It’s also a home for server protected bay species 🦇 From late April to late July, Boulonnais sheep participate in the ecological maintenance of the site 🐑 They also provided costume for children to dress up, which was the highlight for my children 👍

Interesting citadel, info panels around some in English as well as French. Free on the first Sunday of the month.

The Remparts de Montreuil-sur-Mer is a charming village with a historic fortress encircling the town. Spanning approximately 7km, this walk along the ramparts provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. While some sections lack safety barriers, there is an alternative path that offers a safer option for those with children or pets. The village itself boasts lovely scenery and numerous benches to rest and take in the surroundings.
Lovely village, very nice for a longer walk with kids as well. Beautiful landscapes, plenty of benches to sit - just watch the kids a bit as the fortifications are quite high. Definitely worth a visit.

Such an amazing place. The feats of manpower to create this… Just boggles the mind. Also, the Tea Shop next door is the best place ever ( we’ve been to some shonky ones on this holiday) with lovely fresh coffee, room to sit inside in the shade if required, accessible toilets. Excellent.

Nestled in the Pas-de-Calais region of northern France, Montreuil-sur-Mer is a picturesque walled town that offers a perfect blend of history, charm, and tranquility. Visiting in February 2025, I found the town delightfully quiet, allowing for a truly immersive experience without the summer crowds Winter gives Montreuil a different kind of beauty—mist rolling over the ancient ramparts, quiet cobbled streets, and cozy cafés with warm lighting inviting you in. The town retains its medieval character, and its smaller size makes it easy to explore on foot Walking the ramparts was a highlight, offering stunning panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. The crisp winter air added a refreshing touch to the experience. The citadel, a historic fortress dating back to the 16th century was unfortunately closed. Montreuil-sur-Mer in February is a hidden gem for those who appreciate history, quiet streets. If you’re looking for a peaceful winter getaway with a rich cultural backdrop, it’s well worth a visit.
Tracy A — Google review
Loved walking on the ramparts, which go right around the town. A distance of about 7km. At a gentle pace it will take about an hour. To walk on some parts you need a good head for heights as there is a considerable sheer drop and absolutely no barrier (French attitude to Health & Safety!). Children or pets therefore need to be kept in check. There is another path away from the edge and a bit down, which is a safer bet.
Roger L — Google review
It has been much better. We, pensioners, paid full price and could not take our usual promenade at the top of the ramparts because there were stages being built. There were wires and workmen everywhere! The Arsenal was locked. So we are very disappointed, when we bought our grandchildren in the past it was open, all areas. Plenty to see and do, but not this time.
Louis G — Google review
Really worth visiting, lovely french town and then you can walk round the perimeter along the ramparts. Really impressive.
Ralph S — Google review
A good stroll along the walls around the beautiful city of Montreuil, well paved and maintained the wall walk is a must do when in Montreuil, and Montreuil a must see when in the region.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. If you're looking for a traditional French experience, then this is the best I've had in Montreuil-sur-mer. From the bone marrow to the lamb shoulder and cheeseboard, it is a very good wine selection. Well worth the reasonable prices.

Popular restaurant lucky to get in without booking. We'll worth a visit. Good food. Succulent pork , tender asparagus and melt in the mouth carbonard of beef. Good cheese board.

Overall a good place, well visited and seemingly popular. Team were friendly, the menu was limited but good produce cooked on a spit. Vegetarians aren’t considered for here, but it must be the way in France. Perhaps could offer better alternatives for veggies/ vegans.

Nice looking lively restaurant and good design, came in for drinks and the waiters were lovely . My white wine was a bit like a cloudy vinaigrette but the selection available was diverse. You should order a bottle instead of a glass of you care about the taste of wine. I will come back for food because the menu looks nice 4* for the aesthetic and waiters. -1 for the wine.

Ate here because the menu looked interesting and to be frank there was not much else open on a quiet Tuesday night. Turned out to be a great choice. The food is really excellent and a food highlight of our trip - on our last night which was appropriate. My husband had a melon gazpacho which was fantastic and I had lovely stuffed courgette flowers. We both had a pork “pluma” for main which was really, really good. Highly recommended.

Excellent value for money. The dishes are very good and, above all, well-crafted and beautifully presented, like in top-tier restaurants. I highly recommend it! The duck with crispy breading was delicious, and the chocolate fondant with violet ice cream is a must.

The facility could learn some manners in my opinion.. we don’t speak french so we were trying with out best interest to speak french but it was quite difficult.. the result? The waitresses ignored us for over an hour and we tried to contact them multiple times because we wanted a drink.. nope.. they ignored us COMPLETLY!! What a waste.. no tip.. no next time.. We won’t go back to this blamage 🫣

We ate in the resaurant. Fabulous food. Menu de Marché was excellent. The Noix de StJacques en crime de lard was served on a bed of leeks with carrot and broccoli. All beautifully cooked and very tasty. We had crepe suzzette for dessert, which was also really nice

Dropped by on a busy Monday. Maybe a Holiday the whole town was busy. Good attentive and friendly service. Our food was very good my hubby had the veal kidney, I stole a little and it was really good. My meal was smoked duck salad including ham, walnuts, duck and much more. Including a carafe of red and an espresso it was €37 I think.

Pizzéria La Paloma is a charming eatery in Montreuil that offers more than just pizza and pasta. The restaurant has received praise for its excellent food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Diners have recommended dishes like beef with forestiere sauce, fruite de mer, steak frites with poivre sauce, and escalopes milanese. The diverse menu includes options beyond Italian cuisine, and the staff is known for being attentive and accommodating.
NOT just a pizza and pasta restaurant. Read specials board. Can't believe the fruite de mer was only €15. Steak frites with poivre sauce very good. Friendly service and very good value. Thoroughly recommend.

Visited at lunch for 2 croque sandwiches. After waiting a while for our food we were brought croques that were just dry pieces of toast with a tiny amount of cheese on top. When given the bill, we had been charged additionally for chips and salad that we believed were included in our meals and no additional costs were stated on the menu. When we contented this, we had one of the sides removed however still had to pay for the other. Overall a very disappointing experience where we felt exploited as tourists to pay more.

I do not place to many reviews but I really like this simple french cuisine.. very nicely balanced.. i had the pot with meat and the misses the mussels.. both very nice.. the chef comes by checking out if all is good and talking about his fresh herb garden.. anyway… great place to go to!!

Had a really nice dinner here earlier this year. Food is tasty and the service is good. Make sure you try their pots however be mindful that the portion sizes are very fair, and so you do not need to order that many dishes. Thankfully our waiter kindly explained this to us when we ordered.

An unusual menu. A selection of large platters (smoked fish, smoked cheese or smoked meat) which could be a shared starter or even a main course. The main courses are a selection of large cook pots with seafood, meat or just vegetables. They are huge. It might be an idea to have one meat and one vegetable and mix and match. The staff are young and friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere and was full of French people. It was fully booked on the Saturday night we went.

We last visited this hotel 30 years ago and for one reason or another never went back. Until last night. We stayed in the same room we had 30 years ago and found it delightfully unchanged though the huge bathroom had been upgraded. A lovely cosy welcoming place for a cold November! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was a delight with a roaring open fire. All the food was delicious. My whole pigeon was outstanding. Beautifully tender throughout. My wife's scallops 3 ways was equally as good. Excellent desserts too. The meal and wine were very reasonably priced for the quality. It is in a great location near the ramparts and the town centre. We would definitely go again!

Underwhelming. We didnt stay in the hotel but we went to the bistro. Service was fine but the food was mediocre and took way to long. My mackerauex with risotto was bland. Portions were small. All in all less then desirable

Had dinner in the restaurant - very disappointing. Service was only ok and so was the food. Not what we were expecting. Main course was severely lacking seasoning - no salt & pepper on the tables, had to ask. As did the French couple on an adjacent table. Lots of visible bones in the fish. Desert in a ramekin served without a plate. Linen napkins, no table cloths. Wine choice good but expensive and no house wine.

A brilliant place for traditional food and fantastic quiches - the best Quiche Loraine I’ve ever had. Staff was friendly and accommodated us even though they were due to close in less than 30mins but there didn’t seem to be any rush to get any of visitors out of the door and the vibe inside is really great with historic decor matching the tasty traditional food. I had the tasty calves liver, and my friends highly recommended the bavette steak. It's easier to park in the market square and walk less than 3 minutes to the restaurant.
Paul R — Google review
The taste of the food unfortunately doesn't follow the fanciness of the looks. The price of the food is surprisingly low for it's presentation though. The red tuna appetizer was salty to the extent it became hard to eat, and the Hereford steak was chewy and without much taste. I'd rather have good tasting food than good looking food.

We had the €30 3 course dinner and it was great. The flavour was excellent and the portions were large. The service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Was last here over 24 months ago and had a number of meals which we're are superb, may be in this time the restaurant has changed owners because the menu was very different. We made our selections and both was disappointing, the food was not good, no it was good but Joe what we had experienced previously, for this reason we would not return to try again.

Nice ambience. Pleasant decor, good food and drink. Popular across the age range. Nicely off the busy main square.

Nestled in the charming town of Montreuil-sur-Mer, Brasserie Le Caveau is a delightful spot that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This bustling brasserie boasts a unique industrial chic decor and offers a menu filled with mouthwatering options, including delectable Flemish pizzas and classic French dishes like steak frites. Guests rave about the friendly staff who provide attentive service without making you feel rushed, allowing you to savor every bite of your meal.
A fabulous restaurant. We were there on the evening that the Tour de France passed through the town, the whole place was rocking! Despite every table being full the service and attention from the staff was exemplary. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. My entrecôte steak was stunning and well accompanied by the local cheese sauce. Go, you won’t be disappointed.
Dave R — Google review
We went here whilst visiting family in the area. The food was really mixed good, we had 3 meals of which mine, the Entrecôte steak was barely edible. It was so tough I could barely eat it. It was busy whilst we were there and the service was not great, we waited over an hour for our meal and all the time there was a guy paying the piano and singing, he was quiet good but far to loud for the space and we could barely hear each other speak, all in all a really disappointing experience. I am sure on a different night it may be better.

We loved it so much we returned twice before returning to the UK. The food, the warm welcome and the setting were all PERFECT! We really loved it and have already recommended to friends who hope to visit the area soon. Thank you so much … we hope to come again! What a fabulous place and experience!!

Great selection of beers and wines. A small but well executed menu. Easy for parking right out the front on the market square. There is also a covered area out the front to watch the world go by you eat and drink.

Pizza restaurant
Located at 8 Rue des Cordonniers, just a stone's throw away from Place du General de Gaulle, Restaurant Le Piccolino invites you to embark on a culinary journey. Visitors have raved about the cozy interior and the delightful aroma of freshly made pizza. The restaurant is known for its excellent service and delicious pasta and pizza options, with highlights such as the Troubadour pizza with truffle oil and the delectable truffle ravioli.
Dining at Le Piccolino was a delightful experience. The restaurant offers genuine Italian cuisine, with dishes that are both flavorful and comforting. What made our visit truly special was the warm welcome we received from the staff, particularly a Moroccan host who graciously guided us through the menu, ensuring we made the perfect choices. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor added a personal touch to our meal. The cozy ambiance combined with outstanding service makes Le Piccolino a must-visit when in Montreuil.

Ordered a take away pizza during their busiest time on Friday night. We had to wait but the staff were very attentive and we had a drink while waiting. The vegetarian pizza was delicious and worth the wait. I would recommend ordering in advance, but this restaurant is well worth a visit.

Service excellent, food exceptional, friendly fun environment, wonderful staff. The tastiest Calzone I've ever had, stuffed full of filling, and not lots of dough. We had 5 weeks in italy earlier this year, and didn't experience anything approaching as good. I'd go so far to say the best I've ever had!! We will return, 1 first stop after Calais.

Fantastic! We really had no expectations but oh boy! The pizza is real napolitan with a thin but fluffy and well baked crust. The charcuterie is excellent and the complimary chili oil is perfect. The pasta is full of flavor and creamy. And the burger cooked til perfection with a tasty meat and beautiful cheese (no american cheddar to be seen!). Only thing you could really want (as in all of France) is crispy fries. They have not learned the simple ”double frite”. Good flavour though. We will be back to try everything on the menu!

Le Patio is an elegant establishment located within a historic 1537 structure and its annex. This genteel hotel offers guests a pleasant stay with its cozy rooms, fine dining options, and a welcoming bar. The premises also feature a charming courtyard that adds to the overall ambiance. Many travelers have chosen this destination when journeying to Spain due to its convenient proximity to Eurotunnel, just 50 minutes away.
Lovely dinner here again, we’ve been coming here for at least 8 years and the standard has remained consistently high. Modern cooking , executed well, everything always tastes better than the description on the menu and dinner is always a delight. The family who own and run the restaurant are friendly and service is superb, we always think we should have more than one meal here each time we are in Montreuil

Pleasant if rather erratic service, overpriced for what is on offer, dog roaming the dining room in search of tidbits from diners. Better restaurants available within a few hundred metres.

Anecdote restaurant in Montreuil is a modern yet rooted dining spot that opened in 2015 within the former Hotel-Dieu hospital. Helmed by two-Michelin star chef Alexandre Gauthier, it offers a contemporary twist on his father's signature recipes from the renowned La Grenouillere restaurant. The bright and airy dining room exudes an industrial bistro vibe with its untreated wood workbench, workshop-style glass wall for kitchen views, and contemporary suspended lighting.
A wonderful find! We have visited the area many times, this time I wanted a special restaurant for a birthday meal. Anecdote didn’t disappoint. As soon as you arrive you get a feel for the place, wonderful decor and a great welcome. The food was sublime, faultless. No dish disappointed .. and then the tarte Tatin arrived 😳 just for the two of us! Would return any day. This is a place if you love food, the whole experience was wonderful - thank you

Anecdote does what it sets out to do wonderfully! It takes classic dishes from Gauthier’s two Michelin star restaurant and brings them to the more relaxed Anecdote. Wonderful food and service, though be warned. The Tarte Tatin is magnificent, but it is enough for six, rather than two persons. You will need “le doggy bag”!

Went for the set lunch menu. The options are very limited. With just one option for starter and one desert. There were two choices of mains: beef and fish. The food was very good, and the outdoor seating was nice in the summer. It would have been nice to have more choice. The restaurant is paired with Froggys which is equally good.

Amazing place. Service was great and friendly, food incredible, chill relax atmosphere. Great selection of wines and even better cocktails to start the dinner. If you’re calamari fan, these ones wont disappoint; fresh and perfectly seasoned accompanied with a rich flavorful dip+lemon. The steak extremely delicious and last but not least the vanilla cream is something beyond explanation. If you’re around or not, do yourself a favor and make a reservation!

The construction of the Catholic church, known as Chapelle Catholique Saint-Nicolas at Hôtel-Dieu de Montreuil-sur-Mer, was undertaken by architect Clovis Normand in the 19th century. It underwent a complete reconstruction between 1871 and 1874, resulting in a striking flamboyant Gothic style. The chapel boasts stained glass windows from the 19th century and exquisite woodwork from the 18th century.
I had the privilege of being able to hold an exhibition in the Chapelle on 18/19 June 2022, about Anna Guérin (The Poppy Lady of France). It is a beautiful building, inside and out.

(Translated by Google) Disastrous experience. We arrived, there were five of us, and Françoise, the manager, took the orders of customers who arrived after us (probably regulars). When she finally arrived to take ours, a real skit began. We ordered drinks (so far so good), then crepes. She told us there were none left (she had just served some to the famous customers served before us). Surprised, we asked for ice cream and she, after wondering if there was any left (you'd think there was nothing left in this cafe), brought us the sign and placed it 5 meters from our table. We had to get up to go and see when all she had to do was bring it to us. Finally the order arrived, no crepes or ice cream and a beer was missing. When we pointed this out to her (without any aggression), she got angry and started telling the rest of the customers (those who hadn't left given the waiting time for an order) that "some people are bad, they have nothing to do with their lives..." We got angry because all this was no longer funny, and after a few explanations, the tone calmed down. When we left, we had certainly drunk, but we still had empty stomachs and spent our time complaining rather than talking to each other. In short, a nasty boss, who doesn't want to bother serving customers after 5 p.m. (except those she knows), and who is only invested in what she does best, namely getting into trouble with customers and driving them away. Never set foot there; Montreuil has no shortage of cafes. PS: After looking at the rest of the comments, I was reassured (if you can put it that way) that we are not the only ones who have experienced this. It makes you wonder how this cafe can still be open.

Maison-76 is a Hotel Particulier with a rich history and three stylish bedrooms, as well as a suite. The owner, Tim, provides table dhote service upon request and ensures that there's 24-hour cake available. Guests are welcomed with drinks in the charming garden by the attentive host who has meticulously restored the hotel with tasteful and unique details. Visitors have praised the attention to detail in the bedrooms, describing them as more than just places to sleep.
Sorry this review is late - we stayed here on Saturday 6th May bringing with us my husband Malcolm's parents, Eric and Joan. Right from the word go the experience was superb. Tim, our wonderful host greeted us warmly and then welcomed us with drinks in the delightful garden. Tim has an eye for detail and the restoration of the entire Hotel is both tasteful and unique. The bedrooms were so much more than just places to sleep - so much attention to detail. After eating out at a restaurant recommended from a list from Tim we sat outside with some other residents (plus Tim and Charline a fabulous lady who is an asset to the Hotel) drank champagne and laughed until the wee small hours After a great nights sleep we feasted on locally baked crosissants, home made preserves and fresh apple juice. What more could we have wanted except to have been able to stay for longer. We will return just as soon as we can.

A perfect base to set out to explore Montreuil sur Mer and the nearby coastal resort of Le Toquet and other nearby resorts. The accommodation is of a high standard, with a great little garden to sit in during warmer days. Nothing is too much trouble for your host Lydia, the breakfast is of a continental style that sets you up for the day. Great value for money and would definitely return in future if visiting the area again.

Being a frequent traveler one tends to start taking quality and the good life for granted. But this is a different scale of hospitality altogether. We stayed in the Maison 76 around the Christmas period. The region is just amazing, coming from Amsterdam we decided to take the scenic coastal route starting at Calais. From the 2 capes it offered amazing views across the channel of the white cliffs of Dover and further on dwindling through picturesque coastal villages like Wissant, Wimereux and the impressive town of Boulogne-sur-Mer. Less than an hour from Calais Montreuil-sur-Mer is a fairytale come true. The Maison76 is located within the city walls in what has o be the most charming medieval town in the north off France. This enchanted "Maison de Maitre" is located right in the town center. At walking distance you'll find amazing restaurants, terraces and bars. Quite different from the rest of France, the welcoming people in this coastal region take pride in talking English and really meeting with foreigners. Maison 76 is a truly elegant mansion with high ceilings, an impressive lobby and huge and amazing living room with at least 5 different seating areas. The house 'breaths' good taste and is adorned with wonderful oddments and a impressive art collection. Our room and bathroom was perfect! The bed was great with just the right bedding, the bathroom large and very comfortable. Tim, our incredible host, served us the best breakfast that we had ever had in over 30 years of traveling in France. In short, a most go place with fabulous comfort, professional hosting and a very charming welcome. Thank you Tim and we'll meet again!

Both Maison 76 and Tim Matthews, the proprietor, receptionist and chef, are extraordinary and well worth a visit! I've stayed there twice and will go again!

Indulge in their superb duck pate, confit and gizzards as appetizers, followed by exquisite main courses featuring succulent kidneys and sweetbread. The desserts are equally delightful with nougat ice cream complemented by raspberry colis and accompanied by premium Armagnac.
Would recommend booking as this restaurant does get busy. However, we were lucky to get in for a table for 2. Service was brilliant and staff spoke good English. Husband had scallops and the fish of the day, which was seabass. Came with ratouille, and we decided to go for mashed potatoes. Excellent food. It's really tasty.

Ok kitchen but nothing special. The ”french bearnaise sauce” is more of a butter or paste and very sour. Meat cooked very lightly so if you want medium rare - go for medium. Chips are good but not crispy at all. I really wanted more from this place

Nice setting, lovely lunch for me, but my husband's piece of Steak was tough and grisly unfortunately, which spoilt the experience. The staff were attentive, and the starters were good.

Very nice little restaurant. The team is well trained and very friendly. The T-bone cooked in the cheminey is amazing. The food is pretty good but the Hommos appatizer isnuseless

Very nice, but more for the locals than tourists. Food quality is very good, service is very good, and the chef made sure I liked my food. Dessert was beautiful!! My one concern was the theming. Music does not fit the atmosphere. They played 60's American music in upscale dining and it did not fit the decor and atmosphere...

Strolled by this place, seemed rather more elegant than some in the market square...around midday ....felt the ambiance from outside. Dropped in to say hello and could we book a table for 2 that evening, not a problem! ...received a lovely welcome from a gentle young lady with a smile, the new owner giving her heart to her first restaurant venture.(an hours of redecorating and fit out) At dinner, re service, nothing was too much trouble, the wine list was short but classical styles to go with the menue. They were able to adapt quickly to my partners individual requests timely and with a smile. Food flavours were good. No rush service with a calm and natural feel, we shall be back...! Good luck...with your venture..G &S

I was on my own in Dieppe, so ended up going to the cinema. It was a well-curated special screening of the documentary 'When We Were Kings' with another short film and a Q&A about chess-boxing, a sport that I had never heard of. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the DSN and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Moreover, they create a dog-friendly environment for visitors.
We are in awe at the number of languages spoken by the staff and how helpful with lots of great recommendations

No engagement from staff. Website difficult to navigate. Trying to discover what is on just in Montreuil and on certain dates impossible. Fabulous town. Maybe it doesn't feel the need to 'sell' itself.

Visitors can expect an excellent selection, quality, and helpful advice from the staff. The shop is known for its local varieties such as Pave de Montreuil or Sire de Crequy. Customers have praised the shop for its generous tastings, knowledgeable staff, and variety of cheeses available.
Caseus provided the cheese for a celebration of marriage. We wanted a gateau made with tiers of cheese. The staff were very helpful giving us the required cheese for 70 people. The were generous with tastings and gave us the benefit of their knowledge and experience. The cheese was a big hit and the guests loved it. I have posted a picture. Thanks Caseus

We only stopped in for a drink and what a lovely bar, great welcome and a good beer to start, we were so relaxed so stayed for a glass of wine. Will definitely stay for longer on our next trip . They were sending out great looking platters of food too.

What a brilliant bar! We had lunch sitting on the edge of the square which provided a great atmosphere. The staff were great fun and very professional, speaking very good English. The food was delicious and incredible valuable. Thoroughly recommended.
Dave R — Google review
We stopped by Le Douglas for drinks and were thoroughly impressed. While we didn’t dine this time, the menu looked fantastic—definitely something we’ll be returning to explore. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with plenty of seating both indoors and out. We opted for the outdoor area, which was perfect for soaking up the surroundings and watching the world go by. It’s the kind of spot where you can easily lose track of time. The drink selection was excellent, with something for everyone—from classic cocktails and local wines to a great beer selection. The staff were attentive and friendly, striking that ideal balance of being present without being overbearing. Their genuine hospitality added to the overall experience. A highlight of our visit was the live music—an unexpected bonus that brought great energy to the evening without overpowering conversation. Le Douglas is a great place to unwind with a drink or two, and we’re already looking forward to coming back—next time, hopefully to try the food as well!
