Unbeatable views! Dolomites are amazing scenery, never disappoint. From the highest reachable point in the range (without rock climbing), you can see more that you can take in. The 360-degree observation deck is spectacular! The cable car ride up is interesting and intriguing. Great stop if anywhere near the area. The café/bar has good food (service was really slow when our group stopped in) at the 2nd stop, also the bathrooms, museum, and access to some trails with WWI tunnels. Top has the 360 deck where you are right there with Punta Rocca, plus the glacier.

Beautiful experience to ski down Marmolada, however the lengthy queue of people (~40 minutes to reach the top) makes you question whether it is really worth the wait. All three cable cars will be packed, and you won’t get to see much until the panoramic platform at 3200m, however, once there the views are truly stunning. There is also only one slope open (as of December 2023).

The views are nice , but I expected a bit more. Three cable cars that go up once they are fully stuffed without any option for anyone to move inside. The operators are rude and with zero patience (pushing people). The views up are nice indeed (though I don't think they are much better then the alternatives). No real trails to hike there , just take a look from above and that's it.

I completed a 5 day course this Jan 2023 (2 hours each day). Very fair prices and the office was flexible and let me pay for 3 days first and then added on the extra days. Luckily for me it was a small group with only two other students. The instructor, Marco, was amazing. He kept the lessons light hearted and fun and was able to give each person individualised feedback on how to improve. My instructions and feedback were in English. Good mix of drills and skiing. We learned mostly on the Padon slope and that’s prepared me well for other reds that I’ve done since the lesson. Marco asked us where we wanted to ski on the later days and on request took us down the Marmolada Glacier which I wouldn’t have done without his guidance but was a great experience. I’ve been skiing since the end of the course and keep hearing Marco’s instructions so the lessons he taught definitely sunk in. Would highly recommend the ski school!

Great instructors, friendly staff with a flexible approach and good value for money. Our kids joined ski school for a week and enjoyed the local vibe while their skiing improved a lot. My husband and I took a few one to one lessons which were great.

If anyone wants to learn how to snowboard I recommend taking lessons with Simone. Best teacher. Great school

We've taken a three days ski course for 2 people: me and my friend. The gentleman at the counter was very nice, we booked everything and paid by card. The second day we met with Giancarlo, we had a very good experience, he's a wonderful teacher with a nice personality. He evaluated our level and decided what we need to improve, first 2 days went well. On the third day when we arrived at out meeting point in Alleghe a different person came, unfortunately Giancarlo had a tooth abscess and had to go to a dentist, so Guido has been assigned for our last day. I don't even know if I learned anything new that day, because I was too distracted by the fact he's taken 16 calls in the 110 minutes, he was not paying attention, and just when he would look in our direction would say the same things about what we were doing wrong. He never excused himself for taking those calls, but me understanding Italian I got that it was not about some personal urgency. If you want to take a hike from Malga Ciapel through the canyon to Sottoguda, forget about it quickly. The canyon is still impassable and you can only find out about it on their website. Absolutely amazing restaurant in a location where you do not expect this kind of quality food. We stayed for one night and had a really clean and nice room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The staff is really friendly and professional, they really knew which wine to pair with the food. We visited with our 2 month old baby and all of the staff were really welcoming, helpfull and understanding. 5 out of 5 without a doubt!

Wine list was well stocked, but when we were informed the wine we ordered was not at the right temperature, the waiter quickly recommended a different wine from the same region, at a more reasonable price. All courses we ordered, were beautifully cooked and presented. Chef clearly has Master Chef ambition. Portions, especially the primi/starters, were bigger than expected. At the second cable car station there are some war memorabilia and statues to see outside, but also a small museum which is well worth a visit. The museum is free, entrance effectively included in the cable car fee. The 3000M refers to the height of the Museum which is pretty high at 3,000 metres. You can't take photos in the Museum unfortunately, but it was a very well presented and very informative museum. It basically tells the story of how the Marmolada and surrounding area was fought over, defended and lost during the First World War. I particularly liked the old footage of soldiers skiing through the mountains from the period.

Winter in the Summer Came here some time in June when it was almost summer. Temperature was about 26-27C on the ground. But it was close to zero C at the peak. Was kinda cool to feel the change happening within a half hour. The trip up is by a 3 stage cable car service taking us to intermediate points where we switch to the next stage. At the 2nd switch point there is a nice cafe with a wonderful view of the area. I recommend at least to have coffee or a meal here. There are souvenir shops on the level as well. At each change point, one can take pictures of the surrounding area. The view from the top is breath taking and beautiful. Clouds do sometimes block the view and all we have to do is wait for it to move away. Definitely something for your itinerary.

The meals (dinner) were good but not overwhelming. Relative to the taste of the food, we therefore felt that the price for half-board was quite steep. The hotel is best suited for those guests who prefer home cooking style food.

Our group of 9 had a very enjoyable evening meal here only a short walk from our hotel. Very reasonable prices for a lovely quality meal. Decor is very clean and bright and the staff welcoming and helpful.

My game ragu tagliatelle was excellent as was my wife’s ravioli with nettles in sage butter. We sampled local cheeses, drank a beautiful bottle of wine from a producer 60km away.
