It’s a popular base for exploring the Jungfrau Region, with easy access by train or cable car to car-free mountain resorts like Wengen and Mürren, and to high-altitude viewpoints such as Jungfraujoch and Schilthorn. Jungfraujoch, also known as the 'Top of Europe,' is a popular tourist destination and the highest railway station in Europe. Visitors can take the Jungfraubahn from either the Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald valley to reach this glacier saddle, but should be prepared for the high altitude.
An unforgettable experience. The train ride alone is spectacular, and at the top you’re rewarded with breathtaking views of glaciers and snow-capped peaks. A must-do in Switzerland.
Jasper B — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking. The top of Europe it prides itself as. 3475M of elevation. A must visit if you're in Grindelwald. You have to change trains twice to get up here but the views are amazing. Theres different stations that you can go to and there's an ice station as well. You can easily spend 2 to 3 hours here.
SL W — Google review
There’s no denying it: the Jungfraujoch is one of the most spectacular spots in all of Switzerland. The panorama is simply breathtaking — an endless sea of snow and glaciers framed by the iconic peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. It’s the kind of place that makes you whisper “wow” before you even realize you’re doing it. That said, the experience is very tourist-oriented — and I say that with both appreciation and a smile. On the one hand, it’s impressive how accessible everything is: tunnels, elevators, shops, cafés, even an ice palace. The Swiss engineering behind this mountaintop infrastructure deserves applause. On the other hand, the sheer number of visitors can make you feel like you’ve taken a scenic detour through a luxury shopping mall at 3,500 meters. And then there’s the crowd itself — a fascinating, unstoppable wave of excited tourists from all over the world. You haven’t truly experienced the Jungfraujoch until you’ve seen a group of people taking selfies in sneakers at nearly 4,000 meters above sea level. It’s equal parts surreal and entertaining — like a nature documentary directed by Wes Anderson. All in all, the Jungfraujoch remains an unforgettable experience. It’s beautiful, over-the-top, slightly chaotic, and absolutely worth it. Just don’t expect solitude or silence — and maybe bring sunglasses, patience, and a good sense of humor along with your camera.
Hugo H — Google review
Absolutely stunning, snow all round the year, less tourist compared to Titlis. A nice tour route set up. You will clearly need 5 hrs and more if you want to enjoy every spot at your pace. The snowtubing and sledging were absolute fun. 20 CHF for Half hour and unlimited rides. Ice palace was beautifully carved. The hot chocolate shop at Aletsch glacier was yummy. Point to note- you have to walk a lot there, but for older people and people who are unable to walk a lot, there are places to sit in the warmth of the tunnel and enjoy the views.
Subhasree R — Google review
Mürren is a village suspended between earth and sky, a quiet balcony carved into the cliffs of the Swiss Alps. Here, the world seems to breathe more slowly. Wooden chalets cling to the mountainsides like timeless guardians, and the air carries the clean, ringing silence of high places—broken only by the distant echo of waterfalls or the soft bells of grazing cows. From this lofty terrace, the giants of the Bernese Alps—Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau—stand like ancient sentinels, their snowy crowns catching the first blush of dawn and the last gold of evening. The clouds drift low, brushing past rooftops like wandering spirits, and every path leads to vistas that feel almost unreal, as if the mountains had stepped out of a painting and invited you to walk inside. Mürren is not merely a place to visit; it is a place to feel. A place where time loosens its grip, where every breath tastes of pine and glacier, and where the heart instinctively slows to the rhythm of the land. It is Switzerland at its most enchanting—quiet, majestic, and impossibly beautiful.
Madilla — Google review
never would, I have thought that I would experience my first high altitude sickness at Jungfraujoch. It was a torturous 20 minutes however, most of my time spent there was nothing short of amazing
Eileen L — Google review
An absolute must see if you're in the Jungfrau region. The views of the Alps are unreal. The viewing platform at the Sphinx and the area with the flags lower down give the best photo opportunities. The ice sculptures are worth checking out.
Dylan N — Google review
The number one attraction as well as the most expensive attention in all of Switzerland. It cost about $500 usd for two people. The gondola ride up is amazing and the best cable car ride in the world. After the cable car you arrive at eigen glacier which is also very beautiful, then you take the train up to jungfraujoch and the train stops in the middle for you to see another glacier. Once you’re at the top there are several stations you can take a look at most of which can be seen in the photos I posted. You’ll also want to check their public webcam to make sure the weather is good on the day you come.

Ice Palace Jungfraujoch

Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the Ice Palace Jungfraujoch is a captivating attraction located inside the Jungfraujoch mountain pass. Visitors can explore a series of tunnels carved into the glacier, showcasing intricate ice sculptures and enchanting niches featuring frozen representations of animals like eagles, penguins, and bears. The palace offers a surreal experience that combines natural wonder with artistic craftsmanship.
Visiting the Ice Palace at Jungfraujoch was an unforgettable experience! The frozen corridors and intricate ice sculptures, set within a glacier, were breathtakingly beautiful. The artistry in the ice animals and natural forms made it feel like a magical, frozen world. Walking through the cool, sparkling halls was both relaxing and inspiring. The ambiance, with gentle lighting accentuating each piece, adds a sense of wonder. This is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Switzerland – it’s pure winter magic, year-round!
O G — Google review
✨ The Ice Palace is a Must-See! Marvel at stunning ice sculptures, including a snake iceberg (celebrating the Chinese Year of the Snake!). ❄️ Bundle up! It’s freezing inside—wear thermal layers, thick gloves, and sturdy shoes (the floor is slippery!).
TF L — Google review
The Ice Palace at Jungfraujoch is mesmerizing! Walking through icy tunnels and sculptures is a cool, magical experience. The interior is clean and well-lit, and the staff maintains the exhibits beautifully. A unique highlight atop Europe.
Abdelmonem J — Google review
I find it criminal that it costs 272CHF (sans discounts) to say that you’ve been to the “top of europe”. The views were nice and it’s the one place we got snow in August, but the crowds were so crazy on a Saturday afternoon, it was difficult to enjoy the surrounding beauty. Either way, this is nowhere close to the most spectacular spot in Switzerland (in my book). The ice palace was no more than a quick walkthrough and not overly impressive to a group of adults.
Lucy D — Google review
A man made ice cave with some ice sculptures up top at jungfraujoch. Be careful when walking since the floor can be slippery. It’s one of the stations they have set up during the little tour they have for you up top.
Allen L — Google review
Fun stop, lots to see for the entire family! It's almost 12,000 feet so it's way up there in height. Glacier Views

Not much to see actually, but included anyway, so no complaint. A unique experience still. Could be the only thing to visit during bad weather.

My recent adventure to Mürrenbachfall was nothing short of enchanting, showcasing the breathtaking beauty and raw power of nature. Nestled near the charming village of Mürren in Switzerland, this stunning waterfall is a must-see for any nature lover. The journey to reach Mürrenbachfall was filled with delightful moments as I strolled through the picturesque village, surrounded by traditional Swiss chalets and awe-inspiring mountain vistas.
Another beautiful waterfall in Lauterbrunnen valley in Switzerland. It's just before the cable car station to Mürren. The waterfall coming down from Mürren village as the top.

What an amazing waterfall under the steepest funicular in the world. You can go over the waterfall is you go up and take the via ferrata. Worth doing! The views are amazing.
Pavel B — Google review
Magnificent beautiful waterfall scenery in a green valley forest, with rivers flowing around and mountain cliffs. You can walk, hike, or use a bicycle for many hours. In summer, I suggest parking the car and walking. Don't forget a hat, as the sun can be hot.
Vi P — Google review
Just a few mins drive from Trummelbach fall. There is a cable car station at this fall as well to go to Schilthorn, Murren village, and other places. Less crowded than other places. You can see people paragliding from here.
Fiona M — Google review
The fall is beautiful and is located conveniently for people to access at the base with almost no hike required. It is located across a cable car station that will take you to Gimmelwald and Mürren. There is also ample parking here.

Great views from the new gondola between Murren and Stechelburg.

One of the largest waterfalls in the Lauterbrunnen Valley and by far the least populated. Most tourists enjoy this waterfall from the cable car, so the trail is virtually empty. Explore Mürrenbachfall with the trail guide: https://myhikes.org/trails/murrenbach-falls

Airtime Paragliding offers an incredible experience for the whole family. With skilled and helpful pilots, passengers can enjoy breathtaking views of valleys, rock walls, waterfalls, and snow-covered peaks while flying from Murren to Stechelberg. The pilots also capture the memorable journey with photos and videos. Families with children as young as 5 years old can partake in this adventure, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for all.
We had an incredible experience paragliding with Airtime!!! Our pilots, Wouter and Jack, were absolutely amazing, they answered all of our questions, made us feel very safe, and made it an unforgettable experience. My husband has a slight fear of heights and did really well, only had a few moments of the stomach drop feeling but otherwise had a blast and felt very secure. 10/10 would recommend!
Maggie C — Google review
I went paragliding for the very first time in Mürren, and the experience was absolutely phenomenal. My pilot, Ben, was amazing not only professional and skilled, but also really funny, which made the whole flight even more enjoyable. The views are beyond incredible, and the entire Airtime Paragliding team was so kind and welcoming. I felt safe, comfortable, and completely taken care of from start to finish. If you’re thinking about going paragliding in Switzerland, I 100% recommend Airtime Paragliding. It truly couldn’t have been a better experience!

I'm so happy I chose Airtime Paragliding for my first paragliding experience. Booking online was easy, and the meeting location was conveniently located close to the Mürren cable car station. They sent a text via WhatsApp 24 hours prior to confirm the booking with helpful information. My friend and I got there early and didn't have to wait at all. Our guides took us on a short steep walk up to the takeoff (a grassy hill not a cliff lol) where they explained everything to us in detail and helped calmed our fears. I was so anxious leading up to paragliding, but I was paired with Jack and he was so kind and reassuring! The takeoff and landing were so smooth, and it felt like we were just floating through the air. I got to fly for about 20 minutes which was awesome. Jack let me steer for a bit and then did some cool tricks at the end which was exhilarating! The views were unreal, and it was the highlight of my time in Switzerland. If you're scared, or worried about the expense, my advice is just send it! It's a once in a lifetime opportunity that you'll never forget.

I had the BEST time paragliding in Mürren and my pilot Jack was amazing! The online booking process was so easy. This was my first time paragliding and I was excited but a little nervous. Jack made the experience so fun and put my nerves at ease. The takeoff was easy – just a few running steps. Once we were in the air, it was so peaceful with the most amazing views. I got a chance to steer the paraglider, and then Jack did some “tricks” – he spun us all around. It was scary but so fun! Jack also got lots of fun photos and videos during our flight! If you’re in Mürren, I highly recommend booking your paragliding with Airtime! I can’t wait to go paragliding again!

BOOK IT - BOOK IT NOW! Budget traveling? Never heard of her. Even if you are a cheap traveler, please splurge on this. I promise it will be one of the best things you ever do. The entire team we encountered was helpful, friendly, and comforting. We had one person with us who was slightly above the weight limit on the website (198 pounds) so reached out to them via WhatsApp the day before to ask. We chatted through their weight, height, physical fitness level, and were able to complete the booking. They answered almost the second they opened that morning. The pilots we had were incredible. I was with my mother who was terrified but they were able to talk her through the whole process and managed to get her off the mountain - something I really did not think was possible. I will say the photos and videos offered (40 euro per person) is worth it. The only thing is depending on which instructor you have, some take better / more photos than others. However, you truly cannot get a bad photo given the location - the air over the Alps! The next day we wanted to go back and do it again - I promise you will not regret the money you spent but will regret the memories you didn't make.

Amazing experience! Our whole family went paragliding including our 9 year old daughter. The team at Airtime was friendly and professional and always responsive on WhatsApp when we had questions. Daniel did a great job flying with our kid and making her comfortable. Definitely the best part of our vacation. Thanks again guys!

Went with a friend, flew with Michael and Mario(hopefully these are the right names). They're obviously knowledgeable of the sport, comfortable in the air, and they seem to love what they do which made me enjoy the experience all the more. Felt as though we were in the air for 20minutes, although didn't keep track so who's to say - I was too mesmerized by the view. In general, lovely first experience. Even the small hike to the starting point was beautiful. A literal weight off my shoulders to watch them haul the parachutes up the mountain side.
Sara O — Google review
Awesome experience. Online bookings for the day were full but a chat through WhatsApp secured me a place in the last flight of the day. The view is overwhelming in the beginning but incredibly spectacular. You fly close to the waterfalls. Had a very nice and experienced pilot who really made me feel at ease. Yes it’s not cheap but I would definitely recommend doing this. Once in a lifetime experience.

Nature & Parks
Trümmelbach is a stunning natural attraction in Switzerland, featuring ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside a mountain. The cascades are a spectacular sight, with up to 20,000 liters of water per second rushing through ravines and potholes shaped by the swirling waters. Accessible by a tunnel-funicular built in 1913, visitors can experience the power and noise of the falls from inside the mountain.
This is awesome! You get to see the waterfall from 10 different viewing spots. Plus the views of the valley are amazing! My recommendation: Take the lift up as far as it goes, then walk the rest of the way to the very top (lift doesn't go that far). Then walk down to catch the viewing spots you missed during the lift. The walk is nowhere as steep or rocky as Staubbachfall. I enjoyed Trummelbach so much more. It's a wonderful experience! P.S. Free parking and a cute little cafe right outside (we didn't try it, but it was popular).
Krystle — Google review
Maybe the one thing in Switzerland that doesn’t feel overpriced. Awesome experience. The roaring of the waterfalls in the caves was potentially a cooler experience than the actual waterfalls themselves. Plenty of parking Pro tip: take elevator to the 6-10 waterfalls and then make your way down from 6-1. Was an hour and a half experience for us.
Doniel E — Google review
Spectacular falls which are well set up with all the different viewpoints. I took the lift up to viewpoint 6 then walked the stairs to the top, which isn't difficult but you definitely need good grippy shoes. I didn't get too wet, only a few drips here and there but you will need a jacket as it is very cold. There is a little souvenir shop located along the path as well as the cafe with clean toilets. I stopped for coffee and a muffin, both were delicious 😋

An unforgettable experience! Trümmelbach Falls is a truly unique natural wonder — 10 glacier waterfalls hidden inside a mountain, carrying meltwater from the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. You ride a lift up through the rock and walk through tunnels, stairs, and bridges carved into the cliff. It’s moderately physical (lots of steps!), but totally worth it. The sound and power of the waterfalls — up to 20,000 liters per second — is breathtaking. Well organized, very safe, and perfect for a 1-hour visit. Highly recommend wearing good non-slip shoes. Tickets were CHF 14 for adults (2024) and free parking is just a 2-minute walk from the entrance.
Pavel ( — Google review
Trümmelbach Falls, in Lauterbrunnen Valley lets you walk inside a mountain, with roaring waterfalls echoing through rock tunnels. The short hike includes stairs up and down, so wear sturdy shoes. There is optional lift inside the mountain. Visit early to avoid crowds and bring a waterproof jacket—the spray is strong. Tickets can be bought on site. The dramatic sound and close-up views make it a rare natural wonder worth seeing. Photography is allowed but watch your gear around water.
Noel M — Google review
Very cool experience! The admission is 15CHF per adult and 7CHF per kid and for us it is it was definitely worth it. Not to mention that the walk to the area is breathtaking.

The walk to the falls was magical! There is an entry fee, I can’t recall the amount. You will get wet. There’s a bakery that you can enjoy before or after that was delightful!

This is a lovely, very easy to walk hike. You'll go past. Mary's cafe on the way and past several charming and rustic houses along the way. Staubbach Falls is a renowned waterfall in Switzerland, cascading 297 meters from a picturesque hanging valley. Visitors can take a paved path through Lauterbrunnen valley, enjoying views of mountains, waterfalls, and wildflowers. The falls captivate with their vaporous appearance in the morning light but reveal their true torrential nature when approached from behind. It's recommended to wear sturdy shoes for the short yet steep uphill walk.
Beautiful, tall, gorgeous falls, sitting just beyond a small village that obviously gets a lot of tourists' attention. There's a large paid parking lot near the base of the falls and the trail up to the side of the falls. And, though there's a crowd headed up the trail, it's worth taking! Just make sure to bring good shoes and maybe an umbrella or raincoat, or you will get wet!

An amazing sight! The waterfalls + the surrounding mountains, the sky and the villages= perfection. It’s the perfect blend of grandeur and simplicity—nature’s own masterpiece. I can stay here all day staring at the naturescapes and to just people watch. Nature therapy at its best.

One of Europe’s highest free-falling waterfalls (almost 300m). It feels like a silver ribbon drifting down the rock face. Simple, peaceful, and straight out of a postcard. Just stand and admire - pure Swiss magic! Great views of snow capped mountains from the same site. There's a church and a railway station nearby.

Honestly, the waterfall itself felt pretty average — I’ve seen too many. But with the Swiss flag waving and the sunlight shining through, it did have its own special charm.

Restaurant Weidstübli is a great choice for trying Swiss cuisine in Lauterbrunnen. The location offers a perfect view of the wonderful nature, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a meal. The fondue is highly recommended and comes with bread, pickles, and garlic. Additionally, the Caesar salad is presented beautifully and the atmosphere of the restaurant adds to the dining experience.
OMG! THE BEST and DELICIOUS FOOD I EVER EXPERIENCED IN LAUTERBRUNNEN!!!! So I went there with my parents and we were seeking for a place to try authentic Swiss food. We found this place so randomly while walking in Lauterbrunnen area. Zucchini soup - So delicious, crunchy and creamy. Best to enjoy this in chilled weather. Älpler macaroni - This dish is soo cheesy with crunchy onion and spring onion on top. Very similar to Mac and cheese. This is yummylicious !! Pork corden bleu - Well, the pork is so crunchy, and really goes with the herbs they have added. LAUTERBRUNNEN Rösti- This is one of the most authentic foods my mom wanted to try the most. The pickled gerkin and onions, fried egg on top and Raclette cheese 🧀 went so yummy together!!! We didn’t have space to try dessert! 😅 well next time we are gonna try. I would give 1000/100 for their food, service, the ambience, the cleanliness and everything. They got toilet facilities as well. Simply, Enjoy your delicious meal while gazing up at a breathtaking cascading waterfall – an unparalleled dining experience!

What a lovely restaurant! Both indoor and outdoor seating were charming and beautiful, with abundant flowers, lights, and wood accents. Our party of 5 adults and 2 toddlers was very kindly accommodated on short notice, which we appreciated as the restaurant was full and we were trying to get the little ones fed as soon as possible. Service was very friendly and fast, especially for the kids’ meals. Everything was delicious - we all especially loved the zucchini soup, but everything was good. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place in a beautiful, tucked-away setting that’s easy to walk to and just off the Main Street.

Honestly, I thought this place was just average. The food was nothing to rave about unfortunately. Even the fondue was a little disappointing as it had a strange bitter flavor. The host was very nice, but the server was grumpy and we never saw her again after she brought the food, so we never got a drink refill. It was weird. On the whole, I think this place is very overrated.
Finicky F — Google review
It was a great restaurant. Really good atmosphere, great location, good service and food was also nice and large portions. Really enjoyed the beef tatar. Booking in advance is highly recommended.

The food is great! Traditional Swiss cooking. Their "Rösti" is delicious! Honestly, everything was so good. The staff were professional and very friendly. They made me feel at home. This place has been around for a long time and they maintain loyalty to their roots, which I greatly respect. Thank you for the delicious meal! Edit: I went back a second time and the Entrecôte vom Rind / Beef entrecôte was very, very good!

Weidstübli offers a classic cabin-style dining atmosphere — warm, rustic, and fitting for a mountain town meal. We ordered the cheese fondue, cheese pizza, and pesto pasta. The fondue came with a generous amount of bread, though the flavor itself was fairly average compared to other fondue spots in Switzerland. The pizza was the highlight — crisp, cheesy, and nicely elevated by their chili oil. The pesto pasta, however, was disappointing and lacked much flavor. Service was friendly, but the staff seemed stretched thin, juggling too many tables, which made the pace uneven at times. Overall, Weidstübli is a cozy stop for hearty food in a charming alpine setting, but the dining experience itself was good rather than great.

Great food. The best I had at Lauterbrunnen. Good atmosphere. And good service. Worth the walk there. And of course passing the Staubbach Falls on the way there and back is also a plus.

we loved everything we tried. the rösti and pasta were amazing, the service is very friendly and welcoming. the views and the vibe are perfect too! we tried their daily changing desert with the snapps the servers husband makes from local herbs, I think both are a must try too! after a nice hike its a great place to recharge

Amazing views, friendly and bilingual staff, and most importantly delicious food at a good price. Beautiful scenery to view from the patio with cozy decor inside and out. If you're in the area, make a stop.

This last minute stop turned out to be a highlight of our trip! The view, the food and the service were impeccable. It’s a quick walk from Wengen (or take the 5 minute train) or 10 minutes from Kleine Scheidegg Don’t miss the homemade spaetzli with local cheese and the burger shines. The complimentary local schnapps was the icing on the cake. Please excuse my food photo - I forgot to take one because it looked so good, and it was.

Food, service and atmosphere trifecta. I'm surprised not a lot of people are here. The place is awesome, service is the best (Cony your the best) and the view holy! Take the train from Lauterbrunnen for 20 mis it's all worth it! Thank you

This restaurant is the perfect punctuation on an amazing hike. Killer views (inside and out), amazing service, and delicious food. Definitely do not miss Allmend!

Unexpected Gem Awaits… On our way back from Jungfraujoch to Wengen, we stopped for a late lunch and came across this restaurant near Allmend. At first, I didn’t expect much, just a quick meal to fill our stomachs but I was completely wrong. The interior was beautifully decorated with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and when the food arrived, it turned out to be one of the best meals we had on our entire trip. If you’re visiting this area, you should definitely give it a try. Amazing food, wonderful vibe.

I couldn’t even wait until I was done eating to write a review. This place is phenomenal. The view is extraordinary, our service was incredible, and the rösti was easily the best I’ve had anywhere, ever. Do yourself a favor and have a meal or drink here. You won’t regret it!

Nothing better. Gorgeous views, alpine cow bells, great streusel and good Haus schnapps. Takes cc. Right off the train station. Pleasant walk back downhill to Wengen. Kids swing.

Restaurant
Eiger is a restaurant located in Wengen, offering a convenient dining option right outside the train station. The establishment is known for its delicious dishes, including tomato soup with gin, market salad, raclette, roast chicken, and Rosti. Despite slightly slower service due to limited staff, the food quality surpasses that of other restaurants in the area. Eiger provides traditional Swiss cuisine such as fondue and Raclette in a rustic setting with fast service.
Restaurant Eiger became our favorite place during our trip — we ate there almost every day! The food was consistently delicious, with a great mix of Swiss classics and other tasty options. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, but the highlight was the service. We ended up becoming friends with our waiter, and we still keep in touch to this day! There’s nice seating outside with a great view of the train incoming and outgoing so it’s a perfect spot to have a glass of wine while you wait for the train to bring you up or down the mountain.
Madison R — Google review
We ate here twice as it was so conveniently located and had a great traditional Swiss menu with generous portions at decent prices. One of the few places that does fondue for 1 person.

This place deserves more good reviews. I had my first Swiss beef Zurich style and their mushroom risotto and I tell you it's not missing any flavors.. I love every bit of them and cleaned the plate... the beef plate had this hashbrown potato and its cooked to perfection with the crunchiest crust you'll ever have but not burned... the risotto has an aldente rice with the best mushroom flavor punch. Service is great!!

Surprisingly the best meal we had while in town for a week. Sure, having beers outside in the afternoon sun was fun, but the real secrets are inside for dinner. Each of our meals were fantastic -- both in presentation and (more importantly) taste.
Michael P — Google review
High quality experience, authentic local cuisine, friendly staff with good service. If you are seeking fondue, this place is great and is more affordable than other alternatives. A great choice among all restaurants while in Wengen!
Cole H — Google review
this restaurant surprised me how delicious our food was. my husband ordered the mushroon risotto and i ordered the sliced veal zurich style. both are exquisitely delicious. the service was very good too they allowed us to take our time choosing our food. it does not have a mountain view but with how delicious the food was that didn't matter. i just wish i tried their dessert, we were too full for it...maybe tomorrow? 😄
Gwen L — Google review
Unfortunately, some of the negative reviews about a certain server turned out to be true. As a solo diner, I received condescending treatment while I noticed the same server showing a completely different enthusiastic attitude toward a larger group. He even had the nerve to ask for a tip at the end. Rare in Switzerland. Food was okay. My two stars were mainly for the restaurant's perfect location next to Wengen train station. Wouldn’t recommend, there're better options in Wengen.
Cat H — Google review
We had great service here - the waiter was totally on top of things and very attentive. It was shoulder season, that probably helped. The food was okay. We had the fondue which was fine but not amazing, aglio y olio which was very good, and the prawn/pasta -prawns were great, but the pasta was bland. The Caesar Salad was very large (the salads are huge- enough for two).

Located at an altitude of 2320 meters, Restaurant Eigergletscher offers a memorable dining experience in the heart of Switzerland. The rum dessert, Rahmschnitte, is a must-try with its layers of pastry and rum mousse topped with sugar glaze. Pair it with a perfect cup of coffee to balance the sweetness. The restaurant also serves traditional Swiss dishes like barley soup and sausages, all while offering breathtaking views from the terrace.
Very very delicious food, especially chicken curry with almond rice! We ordered double! The staff are very friendly. And the amazing view! Couldn’t recommend more~

We had a fantastic experience here! The food was wonderful. I got the chicken and my husband ordered the bratwurst. My chicken was tender enough to cut with a fork and had great flavor! The gal serving us was great! She was fast, efficient and friendly. And you can’t beat the mountain views from the balcony. Would totally recommend this restaurant right outside the train station!

We stopped here for afternoon tea & dessert after our Discovery Tour at Jungfraujoch. The Original Eigergletscher Rahmschnitte (Original Eigergletscher cream slice) & Scheidegg's Homemade Apfelkuchen (Scheidegg's homemade apple pie) as well as our green tea were all good. The view from the patio was very picturesque. It is worth the wait to sit outdoors when the weather allows.

The food was great and the price was reasonable. I had a visit after a hike on a rainy day. However, the lady who served me asked me to pay while I was still eating (although it was a totally different person who wanted to pay) and when menus came out, she sounded like she really didn’t want to say anything what was needed. She reluctantly told me that my food came out and tried her best just to throw the dishes in front of me then walk away. No excuse me or whatsoever, she just told me here is your order out of the blue. I needed a moment to realize that she was talking to me. Definitely not the most pleasant experience I had in Switzerland.

Chicken was well coated in the marinara. The dish also included 2 hashbrowns.Tasted just okay.

What a fantastic location for lunch! I was amazed to see that the prices were quite reasonable for such a popular spot. The food and beer were great, and the staff was courteous.

Prime location for all hiking trails stop before going up to Jungfraujoch. The staff was running non-stop so even though service was slow, still have to credit them. Food was actually very delicious, fulfilling, and plentiful. The view is spectacular.
Hanh N — Google review
We came here for lunch after visiting the top of Europe. While the view was amazing and the food was good. Unfortunately we were told twice for two different things that they were out and they wouldn’t have it until tomorrow. Once for a cold drink choice and the other for the dipping sauce that went with our fries. Note that we had to ask about the sauce after they were delivered. We went told at the time of ordering that they wouldn’t come with it. That combined with the slow service meant they went down a star.
