Nestled along the stunning Athenian Riviera, Vouliagmeni Lake is a captivating natural wonder that deserves a spot on your travel itinerary. Recognized as part of the National NATURA 2000 list, this freshwater lake boasts unique geological features and an underwater cave stretching over 3 kilometers, shrouded in mystery. The surrounding hills create a picturesque backdrop for visitors looking to unwind by the water's edge.
I had a great time at Lake Vouliagmeni in Athens! The entrance fee is €17, which includes a comfortable sunbed by the lake. It’s easy to reach by car. In the lake, small fish help clean the dead skin off your feet—it was really interesting! I also enjoyed a coffee there for around €5. The area is beautiful and the neighborhood is lovely. If you want to eat, I recommend Restaurant Koutales, just 500 meters away. Overall, I highly recommend Lake Vouliagmeni for a relaxing and enjoyable day!

Amazing spot ! During our 4 days trip in Athen we went down to Vouliagmeni and this was one of my favorite place. We paid 19€ per person on weekends (just the entrance fee) and then you have several chairs at your disposal. Could seem expensive but at least infrastructure are up to date and clean. Very easy for people with reduced mobility, it has great things dedicated for them, from special area to a machine to get down to the water. Quite expensive but worth it !

We called ahead during the week to check availability, and they confirmed there was space. When we arrived, there was construction noise from the site where stands were being set up for a RedBull competition. At the entrance, they informed ticket buyers that they needed to accept the noise and that no refunds would be issued later due to the disturbance. I wish they had mentioned this when we called, as we wouldn’t have visited that day! But since we were already there, we decided to buy tickets and go in. Once inside, we found very few people and were greeted by the beautiful and impressive atmosphere of the lake. Despite the noise, it was initially nice to spend time there. The water in the lake isn’t spectacular, but it was pleasant enough to get in and out and enjoy the surroundings. It’s fun to sit with your feet in the water and let the fish nibble at them. The area is clean, and the toilets and changing rooms are well-maintained. We got a pizza and fries from the restaurant, and it was okay. The real discomfort began when more people arrived. For such an enclosed space, there were far too many sunbeds placed side by side. Unlike a beach, where sounds dissipate, the noise here echoed. The noise from the people was far more disturbing than the construction work. Even after the construction ended, the noise from the crowd was still overwhelming. If there were fewer sunbeds, spaced out more, it could have been a pleasant experience. But not only do they charge high ticket prices, they’ve also crammed in far more sunbeds than the space can handle. It’s impossible to enjoy a peaceful time with all the echoing noise from the surrounding people. So, if you do decide to experience it, I recommend choosing a time when it’s likely to be as empty as possible.

Beautiful lake was created after the roof of a cave collapsed. You can have a group part here. Need to purchase a ticket to enter.
Titanium V — Google review
Very nice place. Two remarks: 1- The internet tickets give wrong information that it's not tickets available and at the ticket box we bought and had a fantastic time. 2- At the double shower next the wood changing boxes only the one had the handle to open the water.
Nikos49k — Google review
We loved it a lot. Yes it is a bit pricey (17 euros), but you get included sits and the area is genuinely clean and quiet. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and having our feet cleaned by the fish. We got there from Athens by metro and then taxi, as the bus number 122 did not come.
Theodora M — Google review
Love this lake! I’ve been twice. One with my best friends and once with my 23 yr old son. We all had a great visit here. It’s 18€ to get in for the day but we usually only stay a couple hours and feel like it’s worth it. There are chairs and loungers with umbrellas and wait staff to bring you drinks, which are reasonably priced. It all feels very bougie! Then there’s the lake, which is beautiful. There are little fish in the lake that eat your dead skin like in the fish spas. If you’re not into that, just keep your body moving and they will leave you alone. If you are into that, be as still as you can and they will come. It tickles and is fun! Also if you just want to put your feet in so they can clean your feet, there is a bench where you can do that. I have also been told by several locals that the restaurant here ks very good but I have not eaten there. This is definitely a worthwhile 1/2 day trip from Athens. We took a taxi but you could also use the metro. The first time I visited the lake on the way to Poseidon’s temple in the south and it was a perfect day trip!

A place worth a visit but you have to have at least half a day to spend there, full day even better. Place looks amazing. View is great. Water is warm. I think only let in certain amount of people. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was good.

Lake Vouliagmeni, located in the Athenian Riviera, is a scenic natural wonder with thermal mineral water. It is part of the National NATURA 2000 list and home to unique organisms like the Garra Rufa fish known for skin exfoliation. The lake's crystal-clear waters are fed by underground hot springs, offering a constant temperature year-round. Visitors can swim and enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery.
We had an amazing experience here! The doctor fish were incredibly therapeutic, they took a little bit to get used to but once I did it was so fun. It was really an awesome unique experience! Our waitress Olga was incredibly attentive and made our entire experience amazing! Thank you especially for Olga! We also had several drinks and food all of which were delicious! The service was also very nice and fast, I highly recommend checking the lake out on your visit to Greece!

A hidden gem for sure - more of a beach club than we were expecting but it’s very relaxed with a great array of amenities (showers, bar, restaurant). It’s a beautiful setting and the doctor fish were a great add to the experience. Staff aren’t the most welcoming or attentive but the food was tasty. Would recommend!

Had a wonderful time at the lake today, we got there for about 11-11.30 (via metro and bus, took an hour) and queued for 10 minutes. Didn’t ask for student identification and we easily managed to get two sunbeds as there was still many available. It was lovely vibe. Foods quite pricey for small portions and not a lot of vegetarian options, just tomato basil pasta or margherita pizza as the two hot mains. We spent a few hours here, loved the fish. Water was SO salty! Not seen anyone else post about how salty it was, suprised me a lot! The lake was pretty cold despite it saying 25 degrees but fair enough. Changing facilities were good. Only two cubicles for female toilets though which surprised me. I enjoyed the experience as a whole!

This place is just suuuuper cool👍👍 Enjoyed it just a to the beginning of March, sunny weather. Sun is very warm, but not burning, temperature in the lake is very refreshing. Lake is surrounded by the high rocks, so there is no wind there, just a smooth breeze. All what you need on weekend!! and it is very close to Athens 👍
Maxim N — Google review
Absolutely great idea to visit this lake. Come early as the sunbeds get occupied pretty fast by lunch time. No sunscreen allowed into the water, which is perfect in my opinion. Food and drinka available as well as wheelchair access.
Diana S — Google review
This is a spectacular lake and chill beach club. It is such great spot to spend the day but the bad service of the staff there really let it down. I visited in June 2024 and had a wonderful experience in a cabana with my family. I even wrote an 3-page feature article about the Athens Riviera mentioning it and Abraovato for Robb Report ANZ where I was the assistant editor at the time. This year my visit today was still beautiful but the service was underwhelming. There was a mix up with my booking on the door which resulted in the blonde female manager in charge being very rude to on the door acting aggressively from the start. Then after settling down to read in our pre-booked lounge chairs for 50 euro (not what we thought wee were getting really) we ordered mineral water and coffee and decided to make the most of where we were seated. But after our first swim we were then surrounded by two male lifeguards, a swarthy and loud old male pool cleaner, and another two older male service people who gossiped very loudly right behind us for over 25 -30 minutes which made me very uncomfortable and made it hard to concentrate on drawing and reading (let alone sleeping which would have been nice). I didn't come to the beach club to sit around with a bunch of strange men who were supposed to be working and weren't. Every time i turned around they were staring at me. The place was pretty empty so we asked to please be moved to a quieter spot and we did move to some chairs right around the back of the lake where we continued reading and sketching the lake. We ordered a salad and a cocktail and moved all our own stuff to some new sun beds that were just in the sun. Again empty beds around us for as far as the eye could see Then we were getting prepared to relax when the blonde female manager came back over and told us we had to pay another 60 euro to stay on the sunbeds. So instead of staying until 6.00pm and eating and drinking as we had intended and having a snooze there went to the One &Only for lunch in Glyfada where the service, pool and bar is impeccable. This beach club could have made our stay so pleasant and enjoyable and the unprofessional staff really let it down. Had they offered us an upgrade to start with and some good service we could have had a great time. I have told so many people about this place and now I will not continue to because there is a nasty attitude in the staff that is truly inexplicable.

i dont care how much time are you staying in Athens. This is a MUST experience. This feels like the highest luxury resort. The place is super clean, maintained and serene. The water is clear and the views are perfect. Overall amazing experience

Beautiful, Relaxed, and Worth Every Euro – Vouliagmeni Beach Vouliagmeni Beach is a stunning and well-organized tourist beach that truly has it all. For just €10 per person, you get full access including a comfortable sunbed – and there are plenty. The beach is clean, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the water is absolutely perfect – crystal-clear, calm, and refreshing. Whether you're looking to swim, sunbathe, or just unwind by the sea, this is the ideal spot. It’s a wonderful place to spend the day and well worth the entrance fee. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Athens Riviera!
Yafit K — Google review
It’s the nicer beach in Athens. €15/person during peak season. It’s well-maintained and it has nice cafes, umbrellas and chairs. They also have areas for various kinds of sports. Advice: Get there early as it quickly fills up and gets very busy. Especially during the weekends.
Anders J — Google review
Beautiful crystal clear water, nice beds, great prices at the nearby cafe. We came on a Tuesday at 9am and could still choose from a lot of beds with umbrellas (the entrance fee is 10Eu for adults on weekdays and the beds are first come first serve basis) - at around 11am everything was pretty much taken. Bathrooms were not the best condition but there are people cleaning the premises very frequently. Unfortunately, there were a few trash pieces in the sea. But when coming back to shore I always made sure to pick up the trash which was in reach to throw it out in the bins, I encourage everyone else visiting this lovely beach to do the same :)
Dominyka — Google review
The actual beach-side may be a bit rocky for some, however Vougliameni has its merits. A short 15-20 min drive from downtown Athens entrance fee is 10 Euro for adult 5 euros under 18 years. This beach has beautiful views of the Sardonic Gulf, umbrellas for rent, change rooms and a small snack bar that also serves drinks. STAIN alert: This area is known for its higher salinity compared to the open ocean.

Really good beach near athens. Its clean and sandy in the sea. You need to arrive early morning just max at 9:30/10:00 to get the sunbeds and umbrellas. During week it costs 10€ to enter, and then you find free sunbeds and you can stay all day there.. weekend is 15€ as i remember. We payed at the entrance as from web was impossible to book. There are showers, toilets, changing cabins. Shops’ prices are like normal supermarkets. They have also really good ice cream.. its quiet beach and no one is bothering you like on free beaches. Main thing is that its clean. The sunbeds are really comfortable. Water is really really clean. Maybe late afternoon can get little bit dirty but early morning was clean and quiet. Highly recommended to spend the day there.
Elisabeth U — Google review
Beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably clean beach. Parasols are available along the shore, and you can also relax on sunbeds set on the grass. Everything is in place for a perfect day: crystal-clear water, a delightful swim, and a serene atmosphere. Adult entrance is €10 on weekdays and €15 on weekends. Enjoy !
Sébastien V — Google review
Lovely beach and park area. You are required to buy tickets before using the facilities. Everything from sunbed, umbrella, garden area, changing rooms, shower and toilets are well maintained. There are few options in terms of food so getting your snacks will be favourable. Drinks, coffee is available so we had a great time.
Manjari J — Google review
Crystal clear water, warm and not wavy. 10€ per person in weekdays for entrance and you can have umbrella and sunbeds for free. Bring your own food because the cafe offers you toast, burger, and some snacks. There isn't french fries. They have ice cream, beer, and some coctails like margharita. It is safe. We went there around 11am in 1st of Sept and we could find free sunbeds on the sand.

Vouliagmenis Beach is one of the best beaches you will find in the Athens Riviera. The beach comes equipped with lots of facilities like tennis courts, bistros, toilets and parasols and beds that can be rented for as cheap as €5 per person. The beach is large and consists primarily of sand and not stone, which is all the more enjoyable.

10€ for a sunbed & umbrella ( or under cedar tree if umbrellas are out), beautiful clean free showers, toilets , changing rooms, two gazebos for food and drinks. tennis court basketball court etc just simple, basic & beautiful sea
Gilnar H — Google review
We had some difficulty to find the entrance on Google Maps. There’s a parking if you have a car, 10€/person entrance and you get a sunbed and an umbrella. It’s very clean and not loud. There are some stones on the beach until you reach the water but the water is super clear!! but there are some small fishes that eat dead skin. If you do not like them you have to swim a bit deeper or not go at all (we left because of them) There are also inflatable games for kids and pedalos for people. Recommended 👍
Antonella L — Google review
One of my favourite beaches just on the outskirts of Athens. They charge a small fee to enter but it’s well worth it compared to other similar places near by that are so much more expensive. About $10-$15 Euro for the day entrance from what I recall but beds, umbrellas and other services are included. The beach and water are phenomenal and the grounds are kept very clean as well so I’d highly recommend this beach to anyone near by.
VoudouLounge — Google review
The beach itself is beautiful, a mix of sand and pebble stines, the area cleaned up, water and snacks for a fair price sold, the connection from Athens center good takes only 1h10m, BUT: - we were charged 15 euro per person on sunday (weekdays only 10 Euro/person) for only entry without beds, without umbrella...that is a rip off and not fair...they purposely oversell entry tickets and dont care about visitors. Why not charge a low fee for entry and umbrellas as extra? This is how we know it from Sicily... - staff speaks not a single word English and is even proud of it. We arrived at 1.30pm and a sign was saying "no more umbrellas available" - so I wanted as a first time visitor know if there is a reservation system or we can grab one when people leave it. First there was a lady whoch ran away upon hearing English and called a male colleague. I was expecting now somebody who could answer my question but he just looked at me with a desinterested face and shouted "WHAT?" At me. At this point I gave up and just bought two tickets as gamble because we didnt bring our own umbrella - many young people blasted aggressive hip-hop music with their speakers and the staff did not care at all to ask them to stop it which was a disturbance for everyone around At the end of the day, if you come first in the morning and grab an umbrella+beds before it gets crowded the beach is totally OK but if you come too late you are going to overpay for just an entry - better go to a public beach strip for free

I had the pleasure of visiting a wonderful spot in Vouliagmeni, right by the sea, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was excellent – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented – and the desserts were just as impressive, the perfect sweet ending to our meal. What made the afternoon even more special was the atmosphere. Around 15:30 on a Sunday, a lively party started, filling the place with music, dancing, and energy. The combination of great food, seaside views, and vibrant entertainment made it a truly unique experience. Highly recommend!
Andri S — Google review
The place is ideal for family and friends to relax. It's tidy, clean, and located in a very beautiful area. The changing rooms and restrooms are also well maintained. Personally, I missed two things. 1. In terms of food, there are basically only sandwiches available. There's no fast food option. 2. Secondly, there's really no marine wildlife here. Just a monotonous, sand-like seabed. If you're looking for enjoyable diving experiences, you won't find them here.
Z K — Google review
The free beach is very dirty and crowded. Cigarette butts and trash everywhere. It’s fine for a quick dip, but it’s better to go around the bend.

Vouliagmeni lake at night offers a charming atmosphere, enticing visitors to embrace the allure of its picturesque waters. The restaurant and patio bar, although slightly overpriced, provide a compensatory view. However, the service could benefit from being more amiable and less pretentious. Additionally, valet parking would be advantageous as it is seemingly obligatory. Hopefully, visiting during the daytime for a swim will yield a more positive experience in this enchanting place.
We went in the end of march, it was a beautiful. A little cloudy but still beautiful and quiet. Drinks very nice, installations also nice, and the lake was beautiful 🤩

The place had an upgrade from number of VIP beds with tasteless purple design this year. You are sitting on top of each other. I wonder about emergency exit option…. If u want to avoid the tourist crowd come before 10am than can have some peace of mind. After 10-11am full of tourist who are mainly eating, relaxing & taking insta photos. It has a fantastic scenery but the people who run the place turned it into a money making machine, over priced & crowded beds & very average food. Beds have VIP pricing, chairs are less but more comfortable & affordable.

Very nice view. Not so much with the services; asked for lemon wedges twice, never brought it. We asked for better seats, were told they’re reserved, but in our two hour stay nobody dined/used those tables.

I was discusted with the service, they wouldn't allow us sit on the deck unless we will eat, drinks were not good enough to drink and take place in a precious deck,my vine never came, although I reminded the waiter couple of times, terrible management with selling the tickets to the lake and accommodating you, everyone is on top of each other.Never the less outrageous prices.

We caught the hop on hop off bus to Lake Vouliagmeni and stayed for lunch. We thought the restaurant would be €€€ as we were a ‘captive audience’, but we were all pleasantly surprised. Prices were similar to those in the Plaka, so quite touristy, but not over the top. The staff were brilliant and arranged for quick service so we could get the return bus on time. Worth a visit!

I had the misfortune of receiving the worst possible service here a few weeks ago. I ordered a toasted turkey sandwich which comes with chips and sauce. It took an hour for me to receive cold food without a sauce. When some food returned another 30 minutes later, there was still no sauce. I wasted so much time waiting for overpriced food when I could have been enjoying the lake. Waiters kept fobbing me off. Advice to others - bring your own food

Lake is beautiful - unfortunately all services with commercial approach (maybe no other options ?). Contrary restaurant and their staff should be fired - not once but two as they don’t have correct approach to clients. It’s obvious that they just work there - but they place of work will be also creating opinions about themselves. Anyhow probably to hard to understand that. Restaurant stuff is lazy and unfriendly, that’s why I will not come back. And you my reader take look on photos - it’s sufficient don’t spend money there

En Plo is a modern beachfront restaurant located in Vouliagmeni, offering a vibrant ambiance and stunning views of the waterfront. The menu boasts a great variety of flavors, with straightforward yet delicious food options. It's considered a hidden gem along the Athens Riviera, providing an elegant dining experience overlooking Vouliagmeni Bay. The outdoor terrace offers breathtaking views of the sea, making it an ideal spot for seaside sundowners.
A staple for the southern areas of Athens. Great and chill atmosphere. Service was polite, there was no waiting time and brunch was served in a timely manner after the order. Only tiny complaint (which might be due to the fact that it was the weekend), is that the portions were not as big as expected, but satisfactory. Overall, I highly recommend it for coffee and chill day!

We had an opportunity to celebrate our wedding at this wonderful place. From the first day I contacted Stefanos till the last minute the service was perfect! Very helpful and polite ! All my wishes were fulfilled, they answered immediately. They actually did more than I could dream about. The food was excellent , high level. My guests were already full but they continued to eat) the waiters, the manager on the evening , the DJ and of course Stefanos were extremely friendly and helpful. I was comparing the place with other sea view restaurants , but the En-PLO deserves my highest ranking! I would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to experience this breathtaking view with the high quality food. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything!!! Nektarios and Ecaterina

Great service and great food! I ordered the seafood linguine. It was cooked perfectly and the ingredients tasted fresh. I wanted a refreshing cocktail but minus the alcohol as I do not drink and the staff were accommodating to my needs which I appreciate. (The only thing I would say is that the sun hits the outdoor space of the restaurant directly at times and it can feel quite strong so just be mindful of where you sit if you don't want your skin to look like a leather sofa)

Beautiful location, not too crowded and easy to access if you are on the sandy beach below for a quick respite from the sun. You will be paying a couple more euros for drinks than you would if you were not at such a stunning location. They serve a slice of Madeira cake with coffee free of charge, a lovely touch! Service is as relaxed as you would expect from any beach side restaurant in Greece!

The food was very good. But service was slow, you never knew who was the waiter. Very kind to take you to the table but then nothing for a while. Maybe was the language but it seems that there was a flaw in the kitchen or on the floor supervison. The view from any place in the restaurant was spectacular.

Calamaro and Feutti Di Mer are tasty and fresh, ombrina is well prepared but the grilled squid is a bit fishy and way too much salt sprinkled. Waiter did not give breads to us but other tables have bread before dishes are served. Waiting time is very long too. We did receive a free dessert.

I had a pleasant and satisfying dining experience at Ωκεανίς, a restaurant located by the ocean. The service provided by the waiter was accurate, kind, professional, and attentive to all my needs. I requested to dine outside and asked if they had a phone charger, both of which were accommodated. The service was prompt, and the food exceeded my expectations. The interior of the restaurant as well as the washrooms were clean and neat.
Very lovely restaurant close to the sea with a beautiful view. You can eat fresh fish cooked very well. The wine is good. The Personnel is kind and they suggest the right dishes that could match your taste. It's quite and comfortable and you can reach this place also with a touristic bus. It's a little bit expansive but you will be satisfied a lot. CONSIGLIATO.

So this is a spectacular spots a most wonderful location that in all honesty could be a lot better it almost feels as if it's run the way the government used to run businesses in the past that's what it reminded me although the waiters and waitresses were very helpful good and fast it was just that feeling about certain places That Place gave me. So let's start with the bizarre why would you ever give someone a baguette that you have warmed up the tomatoes and the bread but not the ham and the cheese or the lettuce on a hot summer day I was scratching my head for that one and then I was with a friend of mine and she ordered more things than me but for some bizarre reason you guys did not want to give her the map places and napkins even though I asked for some you said you don't give to her for what she ordered just did not make sense at all. The best part about this place is the view because the food the coffee what is rather mediocre the salad I'm not even going to get into it all though it was delicious it was destroyed by the heavy-handed use of salts. I was actually going to give this place a two-star review but I decided to give a four-star review go back give it another chance and see how they are because the view is absolutely spectacular.

Very nice indeed. Overlooking the beach and sea. This restaurant is the one downstairs, ( upstairs is more formal )they sell mainly fish, but also some other foods, like grilled meats. We came in from the beach as it started thundering and lightning. Will be nice at night when it is all lit up. Recommended to go if you like fish dishes.

Breathtaking view over a large gulf, good food at decent prices, helpful waiters. Kitchen rather slow, but don't miss it when in Vouliagmeni

Stunning views and great service. The appetizer sampler tzatziki, taramara and eggplant dip was delicious. Greek salad was also amazing. The seafood platter had a few items that were overcooked.

I had a quickly dinner by the ocean and was wonderful. The waiter in service was very accurate, kind, professional and unswer to all my needs. I asked if I can eat outside, and if they may have a charger for my phone. All my request was have been satisfied. The cervice was very fast, as I like it, the food was great. The place inside and washrooms are very tidy and clean. I highly recommend.

Seafood restaurant
Sardelaki me Thea is a renowned restaurant chain in Greece, with a particularly special location in Vouliagmeni offering stunning views of the coastline. The restaurant serves up excellent Greek seafood meze, featuring fresh fish and reasonable prices. While it may take some time for table clearing, the overall experience is highly recommended. For a more private dining experience, guests can book a table at the VIP area which offers a slightly different menu and premium wine selection.
The service is extremely fast. All the dishes were very delicious. The place is quite spacious, so you don’t have to wait in line for too long. I recommend going there for sunset—the view is like a postcard. Its only flaw is that it’s a bit noisy, but I would definitely come back.
Petek B — Google review
We visited this restaurant on a weekday around 7 PM. It was sunny and warm outside, and we really wanted to sit outside, but all the tables were full. A very kind gentleman at the door told us we could wait for one to open up—and it was totally worth the wait! The food was absolutely amazing. The salmon tartar is a must-try—it was fresh and full of flavor. For mains, we had the linguini with shrimp and garlic, and fried calamari with fried potatoes. Everything was delicious. We also tried the little pies with mizithra cheese and honey as a starter, and they were incredible too. Service was friendly and welcoming. If I had to point out one thing to improve, it would be how long it took for someone to take our order for food (about 30 minutes). But to be fair, they brought us drinks right away, and sipping wine while watching the sunset made the wait feel just fine. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the vibe!

A Sunset Dinner to Remember at Sardelaki Me Thea 🌅🐟 If you’re in Athens and looking for an unforgettable dining experience by the sea, Sardelaki Me Thea is an absolute must. Located right next to the water, this spot offers what might just be the most breathtaking sunset view of your life – truly magical. The food? Simply perfect. I ordered the fried sea bass fillet, fried calamari, and the signature Sardelaki salad for the main course, along with marinated anchovies and tzatziki as starters. Every dish was full of flavor and prepared with care – fresh, light, and absolutely delicious. Despite the place being quite busy, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food arrived very quickly – no long wait at all, which was a pleasant surprise. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Athens. Come for the food, stay for the view – and leave with a memory you’ll never forget. 🌊✨

I can confidently say this was the best seafood restaurant I visited in Athens. Every single seafood dish you see in the photos was incredibly delicious. We didn’t have a reservation, but they kindly seated us after a short wait. With a stunning sea view and Greek songs playing in the background, they offered us an unforgettable feast. I also had the chance to try eel on its own for the first time here — not as sushi — and it was surprisingly delicious. The meze dishes were absolutely outstanding as well. If you’re in Athens and craving seafood (especially the octopus and calamari — they were exceptional!), this place is a must-visit. The staff were also very friendly, which is definitely an important detail!

We took the hop on hop off bus through the Greek Rivera to see the beautiful coastline and got off at the last stop before it turns around. Sardelaki me Thea looked like a great spot to grab some dinner. While waiting for a table, the staff rolled out the retractable roof over the patio raining sand down onto a few tables which had just been served their food. They worked quickly to reseat those guests and cleanup. We saw the situation and waited patiently, soon getting seated at one of those table. But then it took a very long time for a waiter to take our order and every interaction with the staff seemed to be deliberately slow. We were obviously not locals and I don't think they really wanted us eating there. The food wasn't anything exceptional either. We had the fried calamari, fried zucchini, and a fresh catch. After asking for our check three times we eventually went to the register and paid there. Overall, it was the least pleasant dining experience we had in Greece.

One of the best seafood spots I’ve been to! The fish was incredibly fresh, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Service was fast and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re in Vouliagmeni and craving great Greek seafood with a view.

four stars because I thought the service could have been a touch more tentative, but they were extremely busy so I think generally this amount of staff would be fine. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in my life and you will not regret going here not to mention the view of the water in Marina is absolutely beautiful.

This is a really nice beach club, and in my opinion, probably the best one in the Athens area. The service is good, the sea water is crystal clear, and there’s no loud music — which makes it perfect for relaxing, reading a book, or just enjoying the atmosphere. That said, the prices are on the higher side. On weekends and holidays, expect to pay around €160 for two people (two sunbeds and one umbrella). Towels are not included and come at an extra charge. The restaurant is also quite expensive — for example, a cappuccino at the bar costs €5.50. What I didn’t like was that it was served in a paper cup, even after I asked for a proper cup. That was disappointing, as enjoying coffee in a real cup is part of my ritual. A very unique aspect of this place is the presence of ancient ruins — the remains of a temple thousands of years old are located right on the property, which was an incredible and unexpected surprise. Overall, everything else was excellent, and I can definitely recommend this beach club. Just make sure to book in advance through their website. Also note that parking is available right next to the club, at €15 per day.
Iryna — Google review
We had a fantastic time at this Beach! The atmosphere was super chill and the staff were really friendly. We recommend booking sunbeds in advance, as they can fill up quickly. The only negative aspect of my experience was that we were not informed about the parking fee.
G K — Google review
We had a nice time at this beach. The water is shallow very far out so it’s good for kids or non swimmers. The sights were beautiful and the chairs were comfortable. The staff was great too. The only downside is that it is expensive. I’m talking €10 per large water bottle - these are 1€ elsewhere. The food and drinks were also USD priced at €20 a cocktail and over €25 for beach food. It’s nice if you can afford to splurge. We spent €80 on an umbrella with two seats. We spent €70 on a smoothie, 2 coffee, a yogurt bowl and 3 waters.
Nikki B — Google review
The place is nice and the sea is very clear. However, the service and facilities are poor. For this price (we paid 200 euros for 2 people), I was expecting a much better experience. I think this is a lack of attention to small details to make it the place to go (for example some nice music, shampoo in the showers, more friendly staff, towels included, parking included, etc.)
Raya S — Google review
The beach is amazing, the water is Crystal clear BUT parking is 15 euros, no towels , very slow service and no one cleans the table until you leave so we had 10 glasses of water and the food remains on the side table till we left !! Towels is available to rent !!!!!! And they are disgustingly old and all that after paying 180 euros for the umbrella … honestly I will come back but the only reason is the water clarity and nothing els !! What a pity, this place could easily turn into heaven
Mudhaffer A — Google review
Upscale . Entrance fee Eu 35 per person includes umbrella and beach chair. Towels available at extra 10 EU. Food variety available and prices are a bit higher than restaurants. Shallow clear water but cold in the middle of August.
Nagi E — Google review
One of the best beaches in Athens. Prices though have gone massively up the last few years (70-180 euro per set) without any renovation of the sun-beds and umbrella’s the last 17 years. The quality of the umbrella’s and sun-beds are dated and of poor quality with absorbing heat that could easily produce skin burns.

Temple of Apollo Zoster

Historical landmark
Perched on a hill overlooking the sea, the Temple of Apollo Zoster is an ancient Greek temple dating back to the 6th century BC. Dedicated to Apollo, the god of music and poetry, this site offers stunning views of both sunrise and sunset. Despite attempts to charge entrance fees, visitors have the right to access it for free under Greek law. The temple's location by the beach allowed worshippers to bask in sunlight, adding to its allure.
How can you miss this place when in Athens? As you stand on these ruins now you wonder why was this temple was placed by the beach? One can answer that in that temple the sunrise and the sunset are visible hence the temple of the Sun God was always bathed by Sun rays.
Harilaos P — Google review
Free to visit if you let the guard know that you’re only here for the temple. It’s not much, just a small temple and a sign with some information, but it’s quiet and easy to visit.
Nieske V — Google review
Uhhh it’s cool I guess as a ruin, but it’s on the private property of the beach so you have to pay to get up close, otherwise you can see it from the fence. I wish there was a historical plaque or something to tell me a little more about this place and it’s significance.
Mary U — Google review
Great temple to visit when in Athens and IT'S FREE! If they ask you to pay for a charge you can refuse and they will have to let you in as this is not a private property of the hotel. They only ask you to pay because they think people do not know they can access it for free.
Danay K — Google review
The contrast between the private beach , the sea and this ancient site is just breathtaking... Greece needs in general an artist depiction of each monument in order to get the grandeur and importance of each historical site.
C. E — Google review
Such a beautiful temple in a nice beach! The entrance is free! They are not allowed to make money out of it. They aren't the owners of it. Just mention that you want to enter for free!
V. K — Google review
Awesome archeological spot in one of the most amazing private beach in Athens
Cristina V — Google review
It's good to know the entrance is by default free as ordered by the Greek law. If they ask you for entrance ticket, all you'll have to tell them is that you have the right to visit it for free and they'll let you in, as they are obliged to. They just charge whoever accepts a charge.

APLÓ Astir Beach

2.4

Restaurant
APLÓ Astir Beach is a renowned beach club and restaurant located in Kavouri, run by the founder's three daughters and their children. The staff is known for their exceptional hospitality, making guests feel welcome and remembered. While it can be pricey and busy on weekends, visiting during June offers a more relaxed experience with slightly lower prices. The restaurant offers excellent food made with high-quality ingredients, ensuring a delightful dining experience by the beautiful Asteras beach.
I saw a lot of bad reviews so I was hesitant to come here, but Giannis (might be screwing up his name, 21 year old young man) was our server and he went above and beyond. Could not have dreamed of a better place to spend the day. Thank you Giannis!
Sarah T — Google review
We ordered a pear salad, Bao pork, the shrimp plate and a kids bolognese pasta. The pear salad was edible, everything else: the boa bun itself is bad quality and seems old, the meat inside very little and tasteless and the cabbage hard and dry. The shrimp looked as if it was made by kids who were experimenting with plain mustard and feta, it’s sauce bitter, squashed and salty. Even the pasta was barely ok, the meat bolognese sauce smelled like days old and tastes like cheap meat. The expensive restaurant seemed trying only to show good looking plates with not so great quality ingredients with too much happening and really no basic cooking skills. The hostess asked us while popping her gum how much she should add for service as tips.
Jessica H — Google review
I had the daily cheese pie which was made fresh and quite good. My husband had ham and cheese toast which he said was good. We were originally given drink and food menus that were absolutely disgusting. Leftover food and drink on them, which I promptly returned to the host stand. The service definitely could be better but the food we ordered was okay.
Amy ( — Google review
Bad food with horrible service combines. Culminates in a horrible experience. It you are ok waiting for deep fried beach food 2 hours, then this your place!
August F — Google review
This place is run by a sexiest general manager who refused to speak to my wife when there was a problem with our reservation. He offended her by saying “here in Greece the men speak to the men not the women”. My wife and I were born in Greece and speak Greek. This was not a comment bc we are tourists, it’s because he is a jerk. He does not deserve your time, energy, or business. You also don’t need to spend 18 euros for a Greek salad with no cucumbers.
John T — Google review
Worst beach club in the area. The owner is the worst part of the “experience”. They are unaccommodating and don’t understand hospitality. Beyond that, the owner is incredibly sexist, stating that “I won’t speak to the women of the family. Here in Greece we talk to the men”. We are Greek, and that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Reprehensible behavior from this place. We’ve come here quite a bit in the past, but this will be the last time. Steer clear if you want to relax. Such a disappointment.
Travis M — Google review
The restaurant is fitting the overall Astir beach experience: a tourist trap offering overpriced, tasteless food. The only reason it's popular is its proximity to the beach.
Dimitris P — Google review
We arrived at 1:10pm and were the first people to arrive , we had to pour our own water and nobody offered to help. Being the first there and other arriving and then getting their food before us. We asked why our food was taking so long because we had a flight to catch shortly later, the waiter had said we orderd a lot more food. But that's not an excuse for it to take longer because if we put in order in before the other people why does it not get cooked before. There were empty glasses with no water and nobody offered to pour water in. The food wasn't that amazing i had pasta and it was pretty hard, there was one waiter doing all of the work running around. I do not recommend this place in other words do not come here.

Came here last minute on a trip to Athens with 3 friends. The hosts were gracious enough to find space for us! Everyone spoke English well and the service was gorgeous. The views were unmatched! Nestled within the Margi Hotel in Vouliagmeni, Malabar offers a romantic dining experience by the pool with a farm-to-table concept. The restaurant boasts an impressive wine list and cocktails, along with delicious fish dishes. The lunch menu features traditional Greek cuisine, creating a casual and refreshing atmosphere during the day. While some find it slightly overpriced, others appreciate the beautiful setup and great food taste.
There is no 10 star rating Google!! This place deserves 10 stars for service. I pictured two of the waiters but Milena, from Romania, Antonis, Aleksandra and the others, I have never been so welcome. You made my day. Today is treat day. I have them occasionaly, small celebrations when things are going well. What went well I hear you ask? Small things, I went to my secret beach and there was no one there, so I sunbathed my back ****, lol. Back to reality. The food, I ate the cod carpaccio, my first time, and boy the undertones of lime... the best way to rate food is to see an empty plate and I would have slurpped up the juice if I had found a quite corner but all eyes were on me... I walk past this hotel, restaurant part of the complex, daily. The staff outside have started to say good morning. They are all amazingly good looking, polite and well dressed in cinos and shirts. I was a little envious of a table near me and what they ordered so I asked politely if I could take photos of their food. I can see them enjoying their culinary experience. One day I will come and stay here for a night to have an insight into the whole experience in the mean time I am happy just having lunch. Humble to the core. Thank you to the management, to the whole team for making me welcome. I will be back to try more of the menu. Stana 1.7.2024 This time I went for the lobster arancini and a side of rocket and parmesan. I was not disappointed.

We went in with a reservation for a Michelin restaurant that is in the hotel but unfortunately it was closed for winter, they open in April- luckily Malabar restaurant was open which is also in the hotel and we definitely gave it a try and it was love at first sight on everything!! The food was Excellent, delicately prepared and presented. exceptional service which equals to a happy customer. Every bite was filling and fulfilling. Felt like we were in a 2 star Michelin experience, I’m fond of good cocktails and needless to say, I had the best margarita on the rocks here! The restaurant inside is very intimate and classic. Perfect spot for a dinner out In vouliagmeni.

March-18,2025 We recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food was average—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. On the plus side, the portions were generous, and the wine list was well-curated with a good selection to complement the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the dining experience pleasant. However, the ambiance could use some updating, as the space feels a bit outdated and in need of a refresh. Overall, it's a decent spot, especially for those who appreciate a good wine selection, but a few improvements could make it much better.

What a lovely place. The service, location and the vibe of by the pool restaurant is great! And the food quality - maybe the best meal you can get in the Vouliagmeni neighbourhood. The rib eye steak (medium rare) is so juicy and tasty. Catch of the day with grilled veggies from a farm. Tarte tatin and pistachio creme brulee to close the deal.

Took my plate back to pack it up. I asked about it after about 15 minutes and he admitted they had thrown it away accidentally lol. Also they won’t let you keep to water on your table because they want to pour it. But then they keep forgetting to pour it, so we “stole” ours and poured it ourselves. The food was actually very good, though some of it cold. I’d say it was overpriced for what it was but also compared to other 5 star hotels. Almost double the 4 seasons, for example, when it’s really not as nice or well tended to.

Chef Nikos Thomas and Chef Kostas Terzoudis have curated a menu that represents Greece's bistronomy scene.
The food was very good and well priced (all considered). What I don't appreciate, specially in such a restaurant that offers lunch by the sea, is the absence of tsipouro and ouzo from the drinks menu. As we were informed by the staff it's a general policy of the owner. If the food and service wasn't that good, it would certainly have been a deal breaker for me. Bread is also not available as per chef's instructions.

We had two sets of lounge chairs costing over $200 at the beach club. I was told I needed to buy our drinks at the bar since they didn’t service all of the beach area, even though I saw orders getting taken at the chairs around us. We went to the restaurant for lunch at 2pm. It was quite busy but there were open tables that they kept saying were “reserved.” We were finally seated at one of these reserved tables and after about 25 minutes someone came to take our order. It was a basic order 2 ice teas (Lipton cans of ice tea) and water, as well as a pizza, a cheese burger, and Greek salad. We had to ask multiple times over the next hour if we could please get our drinks, as it’s 97* out and we are dying of thirst. Still no drinks, no food, more waiting. We were told when we placed our order it would be 25 minutes. It was about 1.5 hours since we sat down and still no water/drinks. We left at that point. I’m not sure how they could just continue to serve others and not even give us the water we had ordered. I’m fine waiting on food, but it’s HOT out and it’s not safe to be dehydrated in the 97* temperature.

This place has gone downhill- it’s shocking. They’ve lowered the quality of the food and gotten rid of some incredible dishes. The new menu is outrageously overpriced and underwhelming. The dishes are SO SMALL- everything is appetizer sized! Honestly- go to 40 restaurant (on the other side of the beach) for more options, better menu, fair prices and good quality! Plus the servers are not great- they’re disorganized, non communicative with each other, had no protocol for handling food allergies, plus some of them don’t wear masks properly. I am shocked by this! Ive eaten here a few times and found it to be really wonderful back in May. The servers were so friendly, great about handling food allergies, and really professional. Food prices were high but the dishes we received were worth it- special ingredients, beautiful presentation, and thoughtful taste. That is absolutely not the case anymore. They have clearly cut costs and portions further but charge the same prices.

So pity you closed the dinner restaurant, it was so great atmosphere, show and party. We are missing it a lot.

❌🚫❌ Awful & AVOID ALL FOOD! Since management changed this season, everything has become a disaster. The food is boring, and the portions a so small it’s a joke. Even the staff seem helpless when asked questioned about it. To stop people seeing what glory they used to have, they have even deleted their old Google maps listing.
Dimitrias P — Google review
Service was god awful. I got seated, and got offered water, never received said water. Waited 10 minutes for a menu, another 10 to take my order, the portions were small and expensive. Had asked for another beer and the bill, and didn’t receive either. Had asked again for the bill, got it in 20 minutes. Was charged 5€ for my water I never received. The beach is great but this restaurant was a pain to eat at

Terrible service. Overpriced. Wouldn’t even swap fries for lettuce for us, even though we ordered fries earlier. Here’s a photo of what they delivered. Literally embarrassing. Orange juice was 70% ice. Never coming back here again, I’m astonished at how bad it is.

Excellent place but I would recommend it for its tastes. Quite common dishes, no excitement in tastes, not cooked as expected. Also quite expensive! I would recommend the place for a nice evening by the seaside and for the personnel kindness and help but not for dinner.
Antonis S — Google review
Staff are not really welcoming like the other people around this area. The waitress wasn't professional enough for such a touristic destination. Maybe in the beginning of October people around this place get tired of working!! Anyway, the food was great despite the mistake the waitress made by dropping forgeting one of the orders. Margaritta pizza and notella pizza were both very tasty. The tacos were also good. The seating area (sun beds) @ Astir beach was nice, and quite. Entrance fee 10€/person including sunbed, showers, and wc. No towels!
Amro A — Google review
Ill be honest, for what we paid to come in and sit on a day bed, I was disappointed. The staff are nice but it's too expensive for what you are getting. The food and drinks are very expensive and sub par in quality. The restaurant is full of people smoking around those who are eating which is disgusting. I would not come back here, there are more viable options. I asked for olives and mushrooms on my pizza, it was a bit disappointing.
Jai S — Google review
This one, named "40", because Astir beach is located on the 40th kilometer of the Athens-Sounio highway, is the more casual of the two restaurants on Astir beach. It has a more extensive menu, and also they allow customers to sit at a table and be served dressed in beach loungers or swimming suits. The service is extremely attentive and friendly. The dessert menu does not mention fruit salads, yet, they are willing to make you one from the various fruits that they have for making juices, and even serve a single-fruit dish, such as water melon or (for a little extra) mango!

Have to pay entrance but the sand is soft, lots of changing rooms, and a nice restaurant with view of the sunset.

Rafale Ai Nikolas is a tastefully decorated establishment with attentive and helpful staff. It offers a perfect ambience for enjoying drinks and dessert. The dinner experience at this place in Vouliagmeni was fulfilling, with generously sized shrimps as an appetizer and seafood pasta that was impossible to finish alone. The seabass was described as delicious and fresh, while the overall food quality was praised.
Great food and mood, torally recommend it. The apple pie is frim heaven 😋. Portions are very satisfying. Nice music at night.

We all thought this was the best food from our trip. Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was great. I don’t even eat seafood really, but the tuna tartare and sea bass carpaccio were delicious. The pomegranate salad was extremely tasty and refreshing. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

This was the most fulfilling dinner we had in vouliagmeni. Shrimps as an appetizer was the size of a main meal. Pasta with seafood was literally 1kg - impossible to finish alone. Liked the spot VERY MUCH, and will also try biding it late in the evening! Food was good but giving it a 4/5 because I think that it would be good to have more MEZE options, plus more traditional ones. Portions of what we tried were large. Staff was helpful but seemed a bit lost some times so I would rate it around 4.4/5 atmosphere is great!!

We love the local atmosphere with many Greek people, friends and families. An idyllic place to spend a day!

There was seven of us and they accommodated us really nicely. We had drinks, lunch, hung out in the water and had more drinks. The music was great but the speaker was directly in front of us, so it was a little loud for us to talk. Definitely worth the trip and the money we spent.

Quite a romantic location especially in the evening when all the lights across the bay are lighten on. Food quality was high as were the prices. A must try the tartare and ceviche options. Recommended for a special evening out.

Top Location. The manager pays attention to it's guest and is always present. When there is a request he is always there to help and solve any issue. The service is fast and flawless, even during the hot hours of the day when resting should be recommended for normal people. Music is great, modern and exactly what to expect from a beach club. All in all absolute recommend.
Richard M — Google review
The location and the overall atmosphere is unique. The combination of the loud bar crowd and the dinners may not be unique - especially when busy. The service needs to be improved a lot. We visited on August 22nd and requested a second bottle of the same wine to be open and served when the first was exhausted. This did not happen. The sommelier was nowhere to be found and the waiters kept forgetting to fill our glasses. When we requested the bottle to be left on the table so we could serve ourselves to make up for the lack of service they refused saying that the restaurant did not have any icebuckets! This was not true because they had the water is ice buckets. So our late second botlle of wine appeared and "disappeared" once again and our glasses were soon left empty. The solution is probably to avoid busy times. The food was outstanding.

If you ever find yourself in Vouliagmeni, Greece, and have a hankering for Italian cuisine, look no further than Casanova Italian Restaurant. This delightful spot is perfectly situated at the intersection of Athinas and Areos streets, offering an authentic taste of Italy right on the stunning Athenian Riviera. The moment you step into Casanova, you're enveloped by its inviting atmosphere that beautifully blends rustic charm with Mediterranean flair.
If Barack Obama ever found himself in Vouliagmeni, Greece, craving a taste of Italy, he’d undoubtedly be drawn to Casanova Italian Restaurant. Nestled at the corner of Athinas and Areos streets, this charming eatery offers an authentic Italian experience in the heart of the Athenian Riviera. Imagine Obama stepping into Casanova’s inviting ambiance, where rustic elegance meets Mediterranean warmth. The décor, with its warm colors and subtle touches, transports diners straight to Italy. He’d likely start with a classic bruschetta, savoring the freshness of the tomatoes and basil atop perfectly toasted bread. For the main course, perhaps a wood-fired pizza or a plate of homemade pasta, each dish crafted with the freshest ingredients. And let’s not forget dessert—a traditional tiramisu that would have him reminiscing about his travels through Rome. The staff at Casanova are known for their attentive and friendly service, making every guest feel like part of the family. Whether dining al fresco in the enchanting garden or inside the cozy dining room, the atmosphere is both relaxed and refined. It’s the kind of place where Obama could unwind, enjoy a hearty meal, and perhaps even discuss the finer points of international diplomacy over a glass of Chianti. In summary, Casanova Italian Restaurant in Vouliagmeni offers a slice of Italy with a Greek seaside backdrop—a combination that even a former president would find hard to resist.

It is a very nice place especially for the summer, in the garden. The service is professional yet friendly and personal. The food is very good. We tried the salad with Ceasar's dressing, a pizza, a spaghetti carbonara and another dish with chicken, artichoke and lemon sauce. All great and served in the right time. I found it a little more expensive than expected.
Manos R — Google review
Great ambiance and upscale Italian food in the local neighborhood. The pizza (margherita) and the tiramisu are quite good. We also enjoyed the cacio e pepe, the carbonara was a little too eggy and salty (rich) but still good. You can definitely get good pizza, pasta, and tiramisu in Greece. It does come at a price though. 79 euros for a pizza, two pastas, two cappuccinos, waters, and tiramisu seems a little steep to me.

Experience the pleasure of dining on delectable seafood dishes at Agora Riviera Restaurant, situated in a prime beachfront location. The restaurant's warm ambiance is adorned with wooden elements and surrounded by lush greenery, offering guests a relaxed atmosphere inspired by the Cycladic islands.
We celebrated our wedding at Agora Riviera and could not be happier with our choice. We already knew the restaurant excelled in food, service, and atmosphere, but now we’ve also experienced how exceptional they are as event hosts. Our guests were delighted by the rich variety of dishes and their unforgettable flavors. The breathtaking sunset over the ocean during dinner created a memory that will stay with everyone forever. Don’t listen to the locals—this place is a hidden treasure! We were this close to canceling our reservation after hearing lukewarm comments from our Athens tour guide, cab driver, and even our hotel. I’m so glad we didn’t. Maybe they’re trying to keep this gem to themselves? From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive. The wine list wasn’t impressive (and I love wine), but our server went above and beyond. After chatting about my preferences, he candidly warned me I wouldn’t enjoy the house wine—and then returned with a bottle not even listed. Turns out he’d completed two rounds of WSET certification just for fun. That level of care and honesty? Priceless. The food? Classic, delicious Greek fare. But the real showstopper is the view. Honestly, they could serve cardboard and people would still come for the scenery. Thankfully, the food holds its own. Our teens—my son and niece—ended the night sharing fried sardines with a local they befriended at another table. And the best moment? Our server thanked us for being so warm and kind to the staff. In my 47 years, I’ve never had a server say that. Major kudos to our teens for making that kind of impression. So if a local shrugs off this place, ignore it. It’s wonderful. Go!!!

Garbi Restaurant is a renowned seafood destination in Vouliagmeni, with a rich history dating back to 1924. Originally a humble eatery for fishermen, it quickly gained popularity among celebrities and tourists. Today, the restaurant is run by the founder's three daughters and their children, who are passionate about food and hospitality. The staff at Garbi have a remarkable ability to remember guests' names and culinary preferences.
This place should be rated 5 stars! Very friendly people, amazing food. The fish of the day was so fresh and cooked to perfection! The fries… a very simple thing… just tastes amazing in Greece. Freshly cut always ! Enjoy
Abla D — Google review
Garbi is one of those places that just feels special the moment you sit down. I love how the view makes you feel like you're almost floating above the water—there’s something so calming and luxurious about it. The fish is incredibly fresh (you can actually pick your catch), and every dish is simple but full of flavor. Service is smooth and professional, without being too formal. It’s the kind of spot where time slows down, perfect for a long, easy lunch or a sunset dinner that turns into a lingering evening by the sea.
Sothy U — Google review
The atmosphere and view were amazing but that was about it. They charge $10 for a single oyster on the half shell which seems a bit expensive when we got oysters in Athens city center for much cheaper. The service was also very slow, we waited to get a menu for about ten minutes and we were one of only 4 parties in the restaurant. The prices of the dishes were pretty absurd for the amount of food you get also, even in the really touristy areas the prices were less and we got way more food.

Very nice place with variety of seafood and some choices of meat which I can say it was also very good in quality and portion. The atmosphere is just magical especially on sunset time. Very friendly staff and always there to help.

Everything was wonderful – from the view to the amazing service by Dimitri, the incredible food, and the magnificent sunset. Make sure to try the Baklava Ice Cream for dessert

We ordered fish ‘youvarlakia’ - typically a rice-dill-meat ball reimagined with fish, interesting but I tend to think the classic sans-fish dish is more to my liking. 2 stars were lost for a) some kind of fish/food residue left below our table, by the previous patrons that was somehow left for me to step on when I seated myself - fried calamari was done abit lacklustre, in taste and texture - picture attached for reference - the main dish came way too long after the appetizers, so long that we had thought it was forgotten - the octopus balls tastes strongly like falafel with too much spice and not much else - and when we requested for the shades to be brought down to cut out the encroaching afternoon sun, the witty repartee by staff that we should put on sunblock didn’t help the rating - 2.5 stars

Had a wonderful dinner the other day with a group of four. We got multiple starters and mains to share them altogether and I have to say everything was amazing! The crayfish pasta was particularly a highlight, as were the crab salad and the taramosalata (sooo foamy yet really creamy! An amazing texture). We also got a millefeuille to share which was accompanied by a spongy portokalopota plus ice cream (orange cake), both phenomenal. Our server was an excellent older man who had clearly a lot of passion for his job and was very sociable and accommodating. With its tables right on the beach coast it is definitely worth the cost. Highly recommended!

I had a delightful afternoon at Lasithi Bar-Restaurant, where I enjoyed a relaxing atmosphere, delectable cuisine, and excellent service. The spacious establishment offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with the front area providing picturesque views of the sea. Their menu is extensive and caters to various preferences, featuring breakfast/brunch options, an array of beverages including coffee, tea, soft drinks, as well as satisfying meals accompanied by wines and cocktails.
What an Expirence! After only a few nights into our holiday and what seemed hard to beat a few resteraunts that we had been to so far, Lasithi took the whole evening to another level! The picturesque view with the sunset at the perfect time during our delicious starters, followed by mains that we all kept sharing as they were so good! We hadn't even got to desert and had to offer compliments to the Chef! To say the deserts touched the spot is an understatement and with a few more drinks ended a meal we all agreed was the best we have had in a long time and decided still with six nights to go this is where we would return for our last meal! We can't wait to try breakfast and Lunch! Thank you to our waiter who made the expirence perfect!

The restaurant is nice with an amazing view. However, the service felt a bit rushed and disorganized in terms of bring main dish already on a table full of starters. We asked to pack a leftover dish that we didn’t even touch. They brought a bowl and let us do it ourselves which is a bit awkward. Despite all, we had a good time overall, majority of dishes were good and waiter was nice. Just needs some service improvement for a such a nice restaurant

An amazing café to relax with a drink, featuring an outstanding sea view that’s hard to match. The staff are friendly and courteous, even offering complimentary chips. The local beer and IPA are perfect for sunny weather above 20 degrees. A must-visit spot for relaxation and enjoyment.

Had an amazing afternoon - relaxed, great food, drinks and service! Large restaurant with seating at the front that overlooks the seat and inside seating too. Menu is comprehensive with something for everyone from breakfast/brunch dishes, coffee, tea and soft drinks, to full meals, wines and cocktails. Staff were excellent and helpful, we spent the afternoon just relaxing and enjoying drinks and lunch. The beach is a short walk away and lovely for a swim.

Great place, we ordered a variety of dishes and would have ordered more but we felt like the waiter strongly disapproved! He thought we had enough!! Lol The least enjoyable was the penne salmon pasta and Grilled Crayfish which I felt was mostly undercooked but everything else was lovely. The service was friendly and helpful. The most enjoyable part of the place was the location, the ambience and the aesthetic. Very nice indeed. We definitely enjoyed ourselves! I forgot to take photos of the dishes, so just a few I'm afraid.

Stopped on a not so busy Monday evening for a drink. Was told no table outside available except a stool with bar chairs... I had my 4 year old boy with me, and at least 7 tables were empty outside. We were planning to drink and snack, our money probably wasn't good enough for them? Decided to leave. Read similar reviews later, seems it's a pattern of the person responsible.

Seafood restaurant
Panorama Seafood Restaurant in Greece offers a delectable dining experience with its variety of handmade appetizers, hot dishes, and fresh fish from the Greek seas. The restaurant is known for its house specialties like lavraki fish and linguine with shrimps, as well as the catch of the day. Situated along the beautiful Athenian Riviera, diners can enjoy their meals while gazing at stunning ocean views.
The perfect place to have a great meal, the fish is always fresh and perfectly cooked and there are plenty of options for meat lovers and vegetarians too. Prices are very reasonable for the area and the food much better than some neighbouring “premium” restaurants where you can pay up to double. Finally the staff are very polite and professional always serving with a smile!

Great place to have lunch with sea view. Traditional seafood dishes. At lunch time seems to be less busy, easy walk ins during the week with first row of sea view. Recommend a salad, appetizer mussels and a fish

We came here after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. We ordered fried cheese, calamari, shrimp risotto and pork souvlaki. This is honestly the first time we’ve eaten in Greece where I was utterly disappointed. Everything tasted like it had been frozen and re-cooked and it had no seasoning to it. When we got our bill, I noticed there were several smaller charges on it. They bring you bread at the beginning of dinner, but don’t tell you that they’re going to charge you three euros for it. Also they ask you if you want flat water but don’t tell you that they’re charging you for a full bottle of water on a per person basis. I honestly feel like we were scammed and the food was mediocre at best. The one thing that this place has going for them is the views. The service wasn’t attentive. Maybe because we’re Americans. It seemed like the locals received more attention. The views are the only good thing this restaurant had going for it on this visit.

When all you want to do is sit in front of the beach in Platis Gialos and eat some Mediterranean food, come here. Not the cheapest in town, but reasonable prices and good quality food. A favorite was the grilled octopus and, surprisingly, the okra.

Very delicious greek food and good service. I have been two times and it is always good. Next time I have to try the mussels because seems fantastic. The people are friendly and kind. Same prices of the other restaurant in the area, but with a higher standard. Very good restaurant for Greek food with Fantastic view.

Astir Marina Vouliagmenis

4.7
(554)
Marina
Astir Marina Vouliagmenis is a small but charming marina that offers a relaxing atmosphere with its variety of boats and yachts. Visitors can take leisurely strolls along the waterfront, admiring the picturesque scenery. While currently undergoing construction to become a state-of-the-art facility, it already boasts an excellent restaurant and bar called Moorings. The marina also features high-end stores like Gucci and YSL, as well as great cafes for visitors to enjoy.
Marina Vouliagmeni is without a doubt one of the most exclusive and breathtaking destinations in Greece. A masterpiece of luxury and elegance, it offers pristine surroundings, ample space for the world’s finest superyachts, and an unparalleled shopping experience with elite brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Rolex, and Louis Vuitton. The gourmet dining is exceptional, the views are mesmerizing, and the atmosphere is pure sophistication. Just 25 minutes from central Athens, yet it feels like a private island retreat. And for those who demand the highest level of convenience, there’s even a private helipad for seamless arrivals by helicopter. If you seek the ultimate in luxury, this is the place to be. A true gem—highly recommended!

It is kind of shocking seeing how this place has changed. Boutique shops of well known designers are "infesting" the place with what appears to be a luxurious marina with equally luxurious shops. During my visit there was just one shop offering coffees, beverages and limited food options. Coffee priced at 7€ was expected but honestly nothing exceptional about it. Parking was free, but i am sure this will change in time. I visited Thursday evening, and not a lot of people were around. All in all a nice place to visit.

During our visit to Athens, my brother took my wife and me on a tour with his classic car, and one of the most memorable stops was Astir Marina Vouliagmenis. The marina itself is stunning—lined with beautiful yachts, crystal-clear waters, and a serene atmosphere that perfectly captures the elegance of the Athenian Riviera. We enjoyed a lovely ice cream there while taking in the views, which made the moment even more special. It’s not just a marina; it’s a place where you can relax, stroll, and soak in the charm of Athens by the sea. If you like to enjoy the high quality life, then it is highly recommended for anyone visiting Vouliagmeni—whether for a walk, a coffee, or simply to enjoy the peaceful luxury of the surroundings 👍

A marina that makes yachts that allow small boats to enter and exit the sea in case of an emergency. Listening to sailors and providing assistance when needed. A meticulous organization with the help of the marina's security team. Upon entering, you are greeted with great care and extreme kindness. Thank you to the hostess. At the port management office, two people, George and Maria, are equally professional and kind, attentive and helpful. I was therefore able to get my boat out, repaired, and relaunched in an extremely simple and reassuring manner. A big congratulations to the policy and management put in place by the owner-managers who are willing to help; no need for a much smaller boat than the structure is designed for. Entry and exit: €50 With proper documents and vehicle insurance upon entry. The ASTIR MARINA had already saved me with a release in 2017. BRAVISSIMO Alexandre

We visited for lunch as walk-ins. We were greeted and promptly taken to our table. We ordered a handful of appetizers and langoustine pasta for two. Overall, the food was not exceptional but it was good. Notable exception to this was the mackerel which was too salty. However, I find the food to be grossly overpriced for the taste offered. Service was professional but did not once ask for feedback about the food. Additionally, although the restaurant was open when we arrived, they were still setting up, cleaning etc. I am not sure I would visit again

We had a great lunch experience at Papaioannou in Vouliagmeni. The setting is really nice and the sea view is stunning as ypu are right by the sea. Service was flawless: our waiter was helpful, professional, and very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with a classic Greek salad and fried squid both incredibly fresh and full of flavor. For the main course, we shared a seafood pasta that was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Dessert was another highlight: a refreshing sorbet and a beautifully presented mixed chocolate plate that was truly outstanding. This is definitely an upscale seafood restaurant, so expect to spend at least €125 per person . For a refined dining experience by the sea in Vouliagmeni this is your address.

One of my favorite restaurant in Athens. The location is astounding, the food is so good and fresh and the service is top notch. We went there for a team dinner and had the group menu and everything was perfect.

The food did not meet our expectations . Lobster was rubbery (175€/kg) . The most chewy ever had. We felt that it was boiled in water. Salad is served as a block of letture and a couple of tomatoes, chopped in half. Shrimps saganaki , 4 overcooked small shrimps, with cream milk and white cheese large pieces. Parking 10€ . Service is good, but it is not enough! Outdoor: signs of wear & tear everywhere. The overall experience is poor ! Probably, grilled fish could be a better choice.

Food is great! Place is beautiful! Hostesses are rude & service is ok, apart from the fact that waiter wanted to sell as huge as fish 🐟 when we ordered lots of fish appetisers , salads etc. we declined three times , and opted for smaller fish, which we still couldn’t finish :)

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Papaioannou and had a table reserved for 8 PM. The restaurant was busy but not full – which is why we would have appreciated a nicer table for such a special occasion. The service was mixed: our first waiter was very friendly and attentive, but later we were served by a waitress who unfortunately came across as quite arrogant and without any warmth. That was disappointing and took away a bit from the overall experience. On the positive side, we were very happy to see Denisa, whom we know from another restaurant of the group. She welcomed us so kindly, even brought us Masticha liqueur on the house, without knowing it was our anniversary. That really made our evening special. The food, as we already know from this restaurant group, was excellent. • Starters: Carpaccio, the Papaioannou salad (fresh leafy salad, very delicious) and tuna tartare – all of outstanding quality. • Main course: We shared a grilled gilt-head bream (1 kg), perfectly cooked and expertly filleted at the table. It was served with broccoli and pepperoncini – very tasty. The atmosphere is also worth mentioning: the slightly louder music creates a lively, almost club-like vibe, which gives the evening a unique touch. Another highlight is the convenient valet parking service. Since parking in the area is difficult, it is great to simply drop the car off at the entrance and have it returned when leaving. Conclusion: • Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ • Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (stylish, vibrant, with a club vibe) • Service: ⭐⭐⭐ (points deducted for the unfriendly waitress, but special praise for Denisa) • Overall: A wonderful restaurant with excellent food and a great atmosphere, with just a little room for improvement in service. We would definitely come back, hoping for consistently friendlier service – then it would be a perfect experience.

We had dinner there last evening. We were two. We told them we would share everything. We ordered the taramosalata (good) the Papaioannou salad ( all vinaigrette taste, too strong), a sea bream carpaccio (delicious), a sea urchin salad (the typical thing), a grilled squid (was ok) and a grouper pasta dish which was so lemony you could not taste the fish at all. The pasta dish, besides borderline bad for my taste, was a humongous platter, 1200 grams (!!) of fish + linguini, definitely not the serving we ordered. It was something like 200€, half of our overall dinner cost. You go to a place like that, you do expect it to be expensive in a sone sort of quality/money balance. But you don’t expect it to feel like theft. The service, contrary to many comments here, was friendly and polite. I regret not making a fuss on the spot, it was my nameday and I didn’t want to ruin our evening.

We went there twice on the same day: once in the afternoon for dessert and once in the evening for dinner. In the afternoon, they took enormous advantage of us as tourists. There were no ice cream sundaes on the menu; when we asked, they suddenly had them and charged us €10 for two barely noticeable scoops. The prices weren't listed on the menu. Pure deception and taking advantage of tourists. In the evening, dinner was more or less successful, but the main course comes right after the appetizer. The female staff are friendlier than the male staff. The view and atmosphere are nice, though.

Fine dining restaurant
Nestled within the luxurious Four Seasons Palace Hotel overlooking a serene bay on the Athens Riviera, Pelagos, which means "ocean" in Greek, offers a sophisticated yet unpretentious dining experience. The menu features delectable dishes such as sea urchins and mussels cooked in Santorini's Assyrtiko wine. The restaurant's robata grill takes center stage, providing guests with an opportunity to engage with the chef and learn about the culinary process.
Had an amazing culinary experience at Pelagos, which I now easily consider one of the top 3 fine dining restaurants in Greece. All dishes are beautifully prepared and are sure to exceed one’s expectations. My personal favourite was the pomodoro, one of the top 25 dishes I’ve tried. The atmosphere is beyond stunning, especially in the summer, since there is a balcony patio seating area with an amazing sunset view. All of the staff are very polite, well trained and aid in elevating one’s experience even further. Definitely recommended for anyone who loves fine dining.

We had the tasting menu at Pelagos and honestly liked it more than Delta. Every dish felt so intentional and full of personality. You could tell there was real heart and soul behind the menu. The restaurant sits inside the Four Seasons Astir Palace and draws inspiration from the sea. Pelagos actually means ocean in Greek. The food reflects that with the freshest local seafood and ingredients that taste like they were pulled straight from the coast that morning. The menu flowed beautifully. Every course felt connected, like it was telling a story. The flavors were balanced and creative without ever feeling fussy. It’s the kind of meal that stays with you because it feels personal We were also really impressed with our service. They brought a warmth to fine dining. Would be an honor to go back again. If they got more stars by the time we go back I would not be surprised!
Heather T — Google review
I truly cannot say enough about this experience. I ordered the tasting menu with accompanying non-alcoholic drink pairing. Every food item and every beverage had so much thought put into the presentation, flavors, complementary tastes and textures. I was constantly surprised by a unique flavor or texture. The stand outs for me were the sole and the Milena passion fruit drink (not part of the pairing). But truly, everything was great. My servers Yannis and George went above and beyond to ensure my evening went perfectly. I loved hearing all of the details about the ingredients and thought behind each dish. Sadly I didn't get the name of the gentleman providing my drink service, but it was great listening to him describe the beverages - you could tell he was very passionate about his craft. From the hostess to the chef and everyone in between, the staff here put in a tremendous effort to make this night unforgettable. Their Michelin Star is well deserved.

Had breakfast and dinner here. Breakfast was great with generous portion. love the pancake and juices. We also had 5 courses dinner. Slightly cold in late May, so plan properly. Cost about 123 per pax for 5 courses, and 3.5-4 hours to complete. Not suitable for asian style. The food was fabulous though. i especially enjoy the rabbit and lobster meat combination.
El A — Google review
We visited Pelagos on June 21st 2025, a party of two people. It is located within an exclusive resort in a premium area of Athens. In general, the food was quite good and tasty. Then why the 3 stars? 1) The lobster and rabbit dish was extremely salty and the lobster was rubbery. By far the worst dish of the night. When we expressed to the staff that we did not like it, no apologies were given other than “thanks for the feedback” 2) The signature dish of the chef, cold spaghetti with oyster sauce and caviar (priced at a whoping 55 euros per dish), was not a part of the tasting menu, but had to be ordered on top. Although tasty, it was not something to write home about. The price is only justified by the dollop of caviar dumped on top of the pasta 3) The spinialo dish can be a big hit or miss. It is a very peculiar but also risky taste. I liked it by my wife hated it 4) There was a wedding on the level below and the music from the wedding was getting mixed with the music from the restaurant. Way to spoil the immersion 5) Drinks are grossly overpriced Staff was friendly and attentive. I might visit again but I will definitely think about it.

A truly excellent meal. We enjoyed the “On Tour Best Of” tasting menu, and every course was a brilliant presentation that took us to different Greek islands. Each course felt authentic and thoughtful: the Pomodoro with Ossetra caviar, the Mint Ceviche, and the Rabbit & Lobster combination. The progression through the islands was beautifully crafted. The location, sunset and vibe of the place was excellent. The service was flawless - attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the story behind each dish. You can tell the entire team takes pride in working here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful meal and evening in Athens

The sense of creativity in this restuarant is sincere and totally out of the box. The signature dish, Caviar Pasta, is by far, the most genuine pasta dish outside of Italy....In my opinion, This is a two Michelin Star establishment not a one Michelin star. The bay view, the service, the flavors that shift from extreme temperatures to comfortable taste are remarkable. I am going there again soonest.
