Gerakas Beach is a picturesque sandy beach with a backdrop of plant-covered hills, offering opportunities for swimming and sunbathing. The area is home to the endangered loggerhead turtle population, and there's an information center providing insights into their plight and conservation efforts. The beach boasts crystal clear turquoise waters and is considered one of the top five beaches in the region. It features a convenient free car park for visitors exploring by car.
So pretty, well kept and the turtles nest are just so cute! Free parking outside! Beach opens at 7am and closes at sunset to give the turtles some freedom and privacy to put the eggs. Water is very shallow and calm ideal for kids
Michelle R — Google review
Lovely beach, very busy so it's best to get there early. It's a large deep sandy beach but as you can appreciate half of it is closed off because of the turtle nests. The waters Lovely a clear. Three huge parking lots next to bars, restaurants and the turtle conservation centre.
Bill S — Google review
Nice beach where turtles lays their nests. Part of the beach (Fortunately) is still reserved for the turtles, but it's still big. Nice sand and crystalline water, highly suggested Just outside there is a big parking spot and a free to visit small turtle museum to spread awareness (must visit)
Alberto A — Google review
Beautiful loggerhead turtle hatching spot even though we weren’t visiting during the hatching season. There were some people flouting rules such as using drones, but there were equally some weirdos telling people off without having a clear understanding of the rules. We were visited by the massage guys every 10 minutes once and it added to the anxiousness of the day. But the beach is shallow, beautiful and after speaking with the staff, hopefully gets more cordoned off during hatching seasons.
Emily R — Google review
Lovely bay, crowded at this time of the year as the majority is closed for the turtle nesting and beware the far end as it is frequented by nudest bathers. The bay is shallow and calm offering great safety for children.
Big G — Google review
Very scenic beach, nice if you want to be in touch with nature. No amenities on the beach, you need to walk around 500 back to the road to find anything. The prices for sunbeds are high (40 E/day).
V Z — Google review
Nice sandy beach, we like to snorkel and tried to do that at the end of the beach where we noticed rocks. Nothing special from marine life to see. Warning - many nudist people here, they walk around with no swimsuits touching their private parts. We were disgusted. Don't take your children there.
Alice — Google review
Maybe the best beach in all Zakynthos. Only flaw: full of large stones where the sunbeds are, a bit risky walking there. But the sea and the landscape are simply amazing.

Definitely worth it to go there. It is only 5-10 minutes walk from the Gerakas beach. Nice view. Although the route is hot and the people uses the neighborhood for toilet… I do not recommend to go people with heart or blood pressure disease.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Can't believe this doesn't make it in the guide books! There's a great 1hr loop walk you can do from Garakas beach that takes in some great scenery. Big free car park there too with a mini market to get supplies for drinks or picnic on the way round.

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Zakynthos Sea Turtle Rescue & Information Center is located in Zante, Greece, which is a crucial nesting area for loggerhead turtles. The center aims to preserve the natural environment and raise awareness about these ancient creatures. It operates as a charity rather than a tourist attraction and offers a free and informative exhibition on local marine life and the threats posed by tourist boats. Visitors can support the cause by making donations or purchasing souvenirs.
The Rescue Center deserves more attention for the work they do! Definitely worth a visit. After our visit to the Garakas beach we were able to use the Sand Showers. We also had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant next door, which also supports the center
Melina D — Google review
This is a must see when on Zakynthos. Telling you everything about these gracious creatures you need to know. There is a museum that tells you everything important and the entrance i free. You will also find a restaurant here with good food, beer and service. The view over the surrounding area is great too. Most importantly you can also see live turtles aka guest in the Rescue Center here. One of the most important things you learn here is that we (humans and mass tourism) are their biggest threat. Do NOT disturb the turtles on the beaches and do NOT hunt them at sea as this can stress them to not lay their eggs. Instead respect the turtles at a distance and help these endangered creatures instead.
Rene N — Google review
Great FREE to enter, educational place. Great to learn more about the turtles and the impact of tourism. Has a little gift shop where profits go to the charity. Some terrapins there- I think they do occasionally have rescued sea turtles when needed too, has a cafe/restaurant. Has toilets and sand showers that collect the beach sand to help combat erosion. Lots of parking.
Katie S — Google review
Loverly place with Free entry, clean toilet cubiclea for men & women (VERY clean & well maintained). The place is edicational and has some fish and they had 3 terrapins in the tanks on the day we visited. The place has daiy timed activities listed on the board. We only did a fly by walk through visit, then headed to the beach. There is a gift shop, cafe (profits go towards supporting the place) and some other tourist shops on the road. Loads of parking (Free) opposite side of the road and close up to the beach entrance there is disabled and parent toddler parking. There are also toillets. The beach is down a bit, however the wooden ramp/walkway leads down, so suitable for a wheel chair. Beach is amazing, there are sunbeda and umbrellers, not sure if free. The view is beautiful, there are areas marked to protect the turtle eggs, we had missed thia years lot. Nice little drive on the traditional greek roads as well to gwt there.
Paul C — Google review
When visiting the beach of Gerakas, I would say it is really worth it visiting. It has a free entrance and has some nice information about the sea turtles, and has also some rescued ones you can see from close. It also has a nice gift some which is worth taking a look. I would say it is a really initiative, so visit it for sure if you find the time
Jannis P — Google review
This place has a free entry as well. You can see and learn about the turtles in and around the island. They could clean the tanks a little better and the turtles you see there aren't the turtles you would find on the beaches of the island. After this we went to the beach, which is a couple of hundred meters away, where we found some turtle nests. You can buy souvenirs here as well
Richard S — Google review
i think this place is so worth visiting, not because you’re going to see turtles, but because you’re going to learn their story: how our actions as tourists impact their way of living and how important it is to donate in order for them to get a MRI scanner since the only one available is located in Athens, way too far for an injured turtle to get to. the center is located right next to Gerakas beach, which is another important spot for turtle nests and the parking on the right is free of charge. there are showers if you just got back from the beach and clean toilets as well, the staff is very friendly and on our way we came across a swallow’s nest 😊 this is definitely a must-see place that is going to change your perspective on many things 🐢♥️

A wonderful and inspiring place! The Zakynthos Sea Turtle Rescue Center is doing amazing work protecting and caring for sea turtles. The staff and volunteers are passionate and informative, and it’s heartwarming to see how much they care about the animals. Nestled on the stunning Vasilikos Peninsula, Porto Roma Studios offers a serene escape for travelers seeking tranquility away from the bustling crowds. This charming destination is close to some of Zakynthos' most popular beaches, including Banana Beach and St. Nicholas Beach, where adventure seekers can indulge in various water sports like kayaking and jet skiing. Despite its smaller size, Porto Roma beach is a hidden gem known for its pristine waters and exceptional service.
I had an amazing time at Porto Roma as a solo traveler. Everyone was really kind and helpful, the food is great with an amazing view, and the breakfast is very peaceful. It feels like everything is set out for you to build a relaxing routine, and the managers play their role very well in that :)) Would love to come back xx

RAI = HEAVEN this place is way better than any photos can describe. The placement is above the sea, really nice and authentic friendly people, peacefull atmosphere, delicious food.. it's a place where I m planning to bring my parents, the most picky customers when it comes to cleaning, respecting nature and people's high educated behavior Everything here makes me so happy that there are still people that know how to embrace nature and make it there partner in business, protecting it, celebrating it's beauty.

If you're seeking a serene escape, Παραλία Πόρτο Ρόμα is the perfect destination. The tranquil waters are crystal clear and shallow, making it great for a refreshing swim without the crowds—often you might only spot a handful of fellow beachgoers.
Great beach for a quick swim. Water is clean, but major advantage is that's quite deserted. Visited it several times and spottted up to 10 people max

Tranquile, quiet and amazing scenery. One of the few at the moment places to visit. Not recommended for Young folks wishing beach bars and loud music. Suitable for families, couples and kids.

There are much better options on the island than this beach. It is very narrow, and the water was not clean as in other places. Perhaps it's okay for a quick swim if you are nearby, but it's not a beach to spend quality time on.

Very nice restaurant at a beautiful location and great staff. Food was good and we had tons of fun with our waiter. Thanks for having us! It was a blast!! 🤗 Try to get a table next to the beach. The view and atmosphere is awesome.

The beach was no crowded, water was clear and not very deep. Sunbeds were 8 euros withno drinks included. There is a taverna nearby, good food but a bit expensive.

It is horrendous. The beach itself is dirty, and full of seaweed, and there are only two rows of sunbeds with a few parasols you can rent for 10 euros. I do not recommend coming here. The only good part is the view.

St. Nicholas Beach, located in Vasilikos, is a popular destination for water activities and snorkeling. The sandy and shallow main beach area is perfect for families, while the rocky corner near the Agios Nikolaos Greek Orthodox Church offers clear waters and interesting underwater landscapes for snorkeling enthusiasts. Visitors can also enjoy flyboarding and jet-skiing, as well as relaxed shack bars and stunning sunset views from the church.
The best beach I've been to so far on the island. It's actually a sandy beach with lots of room to place your towel. Probably 75% for the public, 25% for a handfull of businesses. The water has a shallow entry, sandy as well. Free parking, depending on how busy it gets. Otherwise, you can park at the taverns around if you purchase something. Highly recommended!
Anthem G — Google review
Nice to visit but a bit to many tourists for my taste. Beds are 30 euro per set and that is high for the area. But the water and beach is good! Sand and kristal clear water. You can eat a water sports if you want to. Be aware that this beach is used for tourists companies to send bus loads of tourists at once. Bit they arrange this good and its okay.
Sidney R — Google review
The beach is nice and clean, but not very quiet. Water activities and sports take place throughout the day in the area nearby. You need to pay 20 euros for the sunbeds, or if you walk a few minutes, you can find suitable spots for your own umbrella.
Adela L — Google review
It is an excellent sandy beach with many nearby amenities. The waters are crystal-clear, and there is a lovely church nearby where you can make beautiful photos. There is free parking behind the beach, but it gets crowded quickly, so plan in advance. Personally, i didn't like that almost the entire beach is occupied with sunbeds and parasols from the bar, but there are some free spots on the sides for own towels and umbrellas.
Nikola P — Google review
Very nice beach, clean sand, chance to rent a water atraction. We weren't on the seabed, so I don't know the prices, but it's worthy... Even with the spot of the buildimg.

Best beach in my life when you just want to feel the sea Green surroundings. We can rest @marvelous Koukis bar and take a swim 2 meters away
Monica O — Google review
A very nice Sandy beach, clear waters, plenty of people and sunbeds, but still a limited space for people to use their own umbrella and towel on the sand. Not as much as it should be, and the two bars have illegally placed ropes closing off a portion of the beach but that's up to the city to investigate and prosecute, and they wouldn't go against business interests over the environment and the visitors

Restaurant
Taverna Gerakas, situated near Gerakas Beach, is a convenient stop for those exploring the island. It offers local delicacies like rabbit stifadho and grilled shrimp. This establishment is an ideal getaway from the heat of the beach as it eliminates the need for car travel due to limited parking availability after 1 pm. The tavern's staff is welcoming, amiable, efficient, and engaging. They promptly greeted customers and presented a tempting array of fresh seafood dishes.
We had a really pleasant meal here. The staff was very welcoming, and the food was excellent. A special highlight was the fried aubergine in the starters — absolutely delicious! The kebab was perfectly seasoned, and both the octopus and calamari were cooked just right. You can really tell they prepare everything with great care. The restaurant also has a relaxed atmosphere — perfect after a day at the beach. Next time I’m in Zakynthos, I’ll definitely come back!

We had a wonderful experience at this lovely traditional taverna in Zakynthos! The food was fresh and full of flavor, especially the local dishes. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. A perfect place to enjoy real Greek hospitality. Highly recommended!

We only visited this tavern for breakfast coffee and a smoothie for a snack. These two experiences were enough to appreciate the quality of the place and the staff: excellent! A typical local spot, with Italian music playing in the background a plus. The drinks were excellent and perhaps even below-average prices. Highly recommended!

We came back to this taverna several times during our stay – the food is amazing! They serve one of the best gyros we’ve had on the island. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. A lovely place with great atmosphere and delicious local food. Highly recommended!

If you’re searching for perfectly cooked fish and a dining experience that lingers long after the last bite, look no further than Gerakas Taverna. Nestled in the heart of vasilikos, this charming spot delivers seafood with a level of care and finesse that’s increasingly rare. From the moment we walked in, the warm, attentive service set the tone. The staff was knowledgeable, especially when it came to the fish offerings—eager to explain sourcing, preparation, and wine pairings without ever feeling overbearing.

Located by the seaside, Nikos Beach Bar Restaurant is a hidden gem accessible via a short stroll along a dirt road. It provides a laid-back and relaxing atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. The sun beds can be used throughout the day for a reasonable fee, ensuring value for money. Additionally, guests have the convenience of ordering drinks and snacks from the bar, which can be promptly delivered to their spot on the beach.
The best local and authentic kitchen in Zakynthos. We come here since 5 years , a lot of local people come here and they consider it as one of best restaurants in town. All products are local and cooked in oven same day. All done by Yianna the owner with her local recipes. It’s a family resturant with her daughter and relatives working here . You should be patient coming here and if you are in hurry ask the waiter what already in the oven so you don’t wait too long . As they prepare everything as per order so it takes sometimes long time if what you ordered is not in the oven already 😅 it’s a concept but once you know it you get more relaxed . The size of the dishes are big and not expensive at all comparing to other restaurants in town. I honestly don’t understand the other comments people comparing Zakynthos with Mykonos prices or kefalonia as I have been in these other islands and the prices there are much higher and much smaller portions than the prices and portion at this restaurant !
Lilo B — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience. The food is incredibly fresh, grilled on natural charcoal just outside, which gives it an authentic and rich flavor. Both the fish and the meat are simply outstanding. The staff are not only welcoming but also genuinely beautiful people, adding to the warm atmosphere. You can enjoy your meal and then relax on the sunbeds right by the beach just below. Don’t miss the sangria and the freshly made lemonade – they are truly a piece of art.

Had lunch here while down at the beach. Lovely setting overlooking the sea with a proper beach vibe. Plenty of staff. We weren't hurried. Fresh food cooked very well. Best Greek salad...which was large. We had sardines and chicken off the barbecue which was delicious 😋. Their own lemonade was spectacular. Definitely recommend 👌

Great location near the beach. The food was amazing. I tried grilled calamari and was really tasteful. The saganaki cheese and feta cheese with honey were amazing, as well as the greek salad. Would have been nice if they would have let us use the sunbeds after we had lunch.

This is such a beautiful little restaurant. Incredible food and a great location. Please be patient with the staff, it’s very busy sometimes so service can be slow but also always with a smile. Don’t go if you’re impatient, relax and enjoy the views. The food we ate was fresh and homemade. The small homemade bread rolls are just delicious. We enjoyed fresh fish, sardines, beef cooked in the oven, chicken on the bbq, stuffed tomatoes & peppers and the homemade zucchini cakes are just to die for. Thank you for the most wonderful evening and food. The Pina Colada’s were delicious too! Enjoy.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this stunning seaside restaurant, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel instantly welcome. The view was simply breathtaking — panoramic scenes of the sea stretching out before us, with the sound of waves creating the perfect background to an already relaxing atmosphere. The beach is wonderful, the staff are a true delight and the facilities are splendid. We are not party people - we were looking for tranquility and a place to relax, this place truly delivered! The food is also delicious and very comfy sun-beds which were never packed (in mid-August). A true gem!

Amazing service and amazing food. Stunning location of the restaurant. Got there around 7pm and was empty and then started to fill around 8-9pm. Best food our our holiday and portion size was huge. Had starters and mains but could have likely just had mains as starters nearly filled us. Some of the best prawns ever had.

This restaurant is fantastic – stunning views, delicious food, and exceptionally friendly service. We’ve been to many places on the island, and most were disappointing, but here we gladly came back twice. Strongly recommend!

had the pleasure of dining at this stunning seaside restaurant, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a warm, gracious staff who made us feel genuinely appreciated. Their friendliness and attentiveness added a special touch to the entire evening. The atmosphere is simply perfect—relaxed yet elegant, with the sound of the waves in the background and a gentle sea breeze creating an almost magical ambiance. Whether you’re there for a romantic dinner or a relaxed meal with friends, the setting is unbeatable. And the view? Absolutely breathtaking. Watching the sun dip below the horizon while enjoying a delicious meal is something I won’t soon forget. If you’re looking for a place that combines great food, exceptional service, and a spectacular seaside setting, look no further. Highly recommended!

We went here spontaneously and the food and view were truly amazing. The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed this evening very much. The terrace and view were fantastic so were to cocktails we had (Gin Basil Smash and Pornstr Martini we can recommend 100%). The starters were delicious especially the crunchy mix seafood plate unbeatable as well as the grilled vegetables. Salmon Pasta and grilled Sea Bream cooked perfectly. If you like a calm evening with perfect food and service do come here, if only we came here sooner…

Dopia's House is a charming family-run restaurant in Vasilikos, offering a quiet and relaxing dining experience. The classic Greek dishes, such as baked feta and fried zucchini, are highly recommended. Guests often find themselves over-ordering due to the delicious food and end up taking leftovers home. The homemade olive oil is a standout, often purchased by visitors to take home. The friendly husband-and-wife team provides attentive service at reasonable prices.
Eating straight out of their own vegetable garden. Self made olive oil. Self made everything! Thats whats happening here. Good quality for what you pay. You sit under the vines on the terrace. Friendly and informatieve staff. Oh and you get a free olive oil sample. See the fotograph. For me I rated this 5 stars. Try this one you will not regret it.
Hans H — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at this charming family-run restaurant. We sat under the thick shade of grapevines, which created a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. They brought us some delicious homemade olive oil to start with. For the main course, we were served the catch of the day — freshly grilled barracuda — which was incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked. A true hidden gem with authentic flavors and warm hospitality.
Nikolay S — Google review
Very friendly family and host. You have to try the fish of the day, the fresh catch, which varies naturally from day to day. The ambiente of the place is very calm and without music. A true place to relax and enjoy the best food zakynthos has to offer.

Really delicious, authentic homemade greek food. The tavern is owned by a friendly, welcoming gentleman and his family. Every time we went there, we had that feeling that we are coming to eat at home. The tastiest calamari, souvlaki and greek salad on the island. We truly appreciate the homemade olive oil and bread as an appetiser and portokalopita as a dessert. Thank you Mr Stefano and Andreas for unforgettable memories.

The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. The olive oil was exceptional – rich, fragrant, and clearly of top quality. We loved it so much that we decided to take some to go! ❤️

✨The best restaurant we've been to in Zakinthos!✨ 🫒 Dopia is a 1000 year old olive tree which grows in front of this family restaurant! The most delicious Greek salad and souvlaki we've tried, very friendly service and very reasonable prices! They grow their own vegetables and making olive oil, which you can buy as well, so all food is incredibly tasty, feta is perfectly balanced. Highly recommend to visit! 🤩

We were sold on the promise of the hike made food and found an absolute gem, authentic experience and lovely owners! We absolutely enjoyed the freshest fish of the day (barracuda) grilled with herbs as well as seafood stew, topped with fresh bread with absolutely amazing olive oil made by the owners. A must try!

Banana Beach, located on the Vasilikos Peninsula in Zakynthos, is a popular destination for vacationers of all ages. It offers ideal conditions for families, water sports enthusiasts, and those seeking vibrant beach parties. The well-developed infrastructure and natural beauty make it the perfect place for a true beach holiday.
Banana Beach has the softest golden sand. We visited in mid May before the season so it was really peaceful with only a few people there. Loungers are €15 - €25 for 2 for the day, worth it. The restaurant at the top of the beach has great staff and good selection of food and drinks and we could order drinks from the lounger. A wonderful lazy day on a stunning beach with the clearest crystal water.
Ijeoma W — Google review
Free parking onsite with very comfortable beach chairs for rent. There is also a free section. Showers, changing rooms, toilets and beach bar onsite as well. They differ in price from back to front of beach. We paid 25€ for a set of two chairs with umbrella, which is more or less the current going rate throughout the Ionian as we visited both in Lefkada and Kefalonia as well. Food and service were great and reasonably priced compared to other beach bars. The water is shallow and very warm so perfect if you want to bring kids or a family. There was nice music and vibes as well. Would recommend visiting! Corina took great care of us.
Anthony P — Google review
Very nice and cosy place! There's music, but not too loud. There are lot of people, but we could always get sunbeds and umbrella, despite on other beaches. The prices are moderate, the stuff is always available and very friendly. Our favourite on Zante. 😍
Luca G — Google review
A stunning beach and well worth its award. Sunbeds are 10 euros each but are so comfortable and come with waitress service to them. Had 2 great days here which included food and drinks. Well worth a visit.
Andrew R — Google review
Nice, clear and clean water. Good service and very fast, the food was also very good for a beach! Sunbed pricing is based on distance from water - starting at €30 next to the water, all the way down to €20 further away. There might be a minimum consumption per person, of about €10-€15 per person, but if you get food, there’s no problem in getting to this. Overall, great experience, no wonder it’s one of the most popular ones on the island.
Dan-Andrei A — Google review
Nice place and beach. Need to take you waters shoo with you. It’s small stones in the beginning of the water and later sandy. Good beds. Approx 20 euro,s per set in the back and 30 more near the water. Nice bar and drinks. A bid on the price but you get nice service in return. The restaurant is also good. Had the club sandwich and was great. Like this place a lot!
Sidney R — Google review
Nice sandy beach with fine, clear water. You have organized beach - like classy Banana casa playa (beach bar) with their sevice, wi-fi, ATM, parking place with roof... If you are more ascetic type, you have wild beach beside. Public KTEL bus could bring you to the beach which is friendly to disable person. On the beach is service of water sports. I have very enjoyed this beach, so absolutely recommend you to visit it.
Uros K — Google review
Heavenly place, the bay is great, sand, there is natural shade and nice sun loungers. A great place to watch the sunset. Access is only a 15 minute walk from the bus stop or parking lot. The restaurant is quite mediocre and expensive.

Great beach! It has shaded parking, good sunbeds, great staff(fast and professional), showers, bathrooms, the beach is sandy with just some small pebbles. Good music with DJ. Banana Beach: the sea is really beautiful and the placa is quite pleasant. However, the prices for drinks and food are absolutely excessive. Restaurant
Banana Casa Playa Beach Bar & Restaurant is a popular spot located on Banana Beach in the Vasilikos area of Zakynthos. It's known for its beautiful and clean premises, offering a perfect setting for relaxation and fun by the sea. The beach bar provides an elegant space to enjoy iced coffee, refreshing beer, or expertly prepared cocktails while listening to summer tunes from talented DJs. Visitors can also indulge in delicious food with stunning views of the pristine beach and crystal-clear waters.
A beach bar, which provides both sunbeds, but also a really nice dining area. We visited the dining area so that what I can talk and rate about. It has a variety of choices, so it will probably will have something for everyone. The food tasted really good and was baked perfectly. I would really suggest this place as it is accompanied by a really nice beach which is full sand. As it takes some time until it gets deep it is perfect for beach tennis or other football or volley ball games. Next to the restaurant there is also a beach volley court available.

Banana Beach offers top-tier service and cuisine in a truly stunning setting. I loved the flexibility of ordering food either at the restaurant or directly from the beach—it’s a fantastic touch. The salads were absolutely perfect, and I couldn’t resist trying the tomahawk steak. The meat was so flavorful and satisfying that I didn’t need another bite for the rest of the day. The restaurant, its surroundings, and the beach itself are all impeccably clean. The shallow waters make it an ideal spot for families with children. You can choose between comfortable sunbeds or luxurious king-size beach beds, right by the sea. Plus, the massive parking area is a big advantage, especially during peak hours. This place truly combines comfort, quality, and convenience. Highly recommended!

This is a luxurious beach club on a stunning sandy beach, with crystal clear, gently shelving sea. The setting is absolutely beautiful. There is free parking in the shade. We visited at the end of June and the temperatures were in high 30's/low 40's and the staff serving on the beach were working so hard, I'm not sure how they did it in the heat. The prices are slightly elevated but the quality and service is good. We rented the middle loungers, which were strong wood, with thick mattresses with a pillow. The tables had a locker to store your belongings. We paid 37.50 euro for 2 umbrella shades and three sunloungers. There were foot wash, showers and changing rooms on the beach. The toilets are located up by the bar/restaurant, they are ample and were cleaned constantly throughout the day. We had drinks served on the beach. The smoothie was particularly good and cost 6.50 euro....very refreshing. We only had snacks to eat, there was a mix up on our order, a manager quickly sorted this and gave us a complimentary drink each. The fruit plate was delicious, the fruit was so fresh and tasty. The music is relaxed and we had a lovely chilled day.

we went around 10:00 in the morning and we had more sunbeds to choose from. there’s 3 sections: the first 3 rows are 40€ then the next 3 rows are 30€ and the last 3 rows are 20€. we took the 30€ set and it was so comfortable. the sunbeds have literally pillows on them and a nap was definitely worth. we ate the avocado toast with the scrambled eggs and some french fries.

AWESOME place to relax. Great amenities: music, restaurant, washrooms, free SHADED parking. Loungers 30 EUR for a pair. Menu includes gluten-free, vegan options. Huge beach with crystal clear water. Cool breeze from the water keeps temperature lower than other beaches. Plentiful parking and loungers. HIGHLY recommend!

Casa Playa Beach Bar is beautifully located, overlooking one of the island’s most popular beaches. Sunbeds are available for guests, with prices ranging from €25 to €50 – a bit expensive, but in our opinion definitely worth it. The restaurant staff come directly to the sunbeds to take your order and bring drinks right to the beach, which is a great touch. Upstairs, you can stop for lunch – we had the burgers and they were really good.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an incredible time parachuting with Banana Beach water sports. Despite being a busy family-run business, they handled everything with impressive professionalism. From the warm welcome to the safety briefing, they made sure we were well taken care of. The parachuting itself was amazing—breathtaking views and a smooth, thrilling ride. The instructors were friendly and made us feel safe the entire time. It’s clear they put a lot of effort into making each experience special. The boat driver was friendly and we had fun with the experience. If you’re looking for a fantastic water sport adventure with a dedicated team, is the way to go. They made our day unforgettable!

25/8 I visited this big SCAM. The jet skis were on eco mode and they had gps on them and this affected the speed when enyone was around you it automatically slow you down to the point you can't even move and they put a bunch of people with you so you can't do anything at this point. The space you have to ride your jet ski is really small and when you go close to the limits they slow you down again. I payed 50euros for 15 minutes and all the time the jet ski was slowing down. It's a big no for me.
Κυριάκος Ρ — Google review
The guy who explained how to use the jetski and where we could go was really rude and condescending. Just because someone’s English isn’t perfect, doesn’t mean you have to talk to them like they’re an idiot… especially considering they live off of tourists.

Excellent location, maybe one of the best beach on the island. The restaurant staff was very friendly and professional, food was excellent at reasonable prices, the beach was clean. I would give you 5 stars, BUT after a great day, at 6 pm when is the last bus departing , your drivers (was 2 buses) have decided to make some fun of us, we are waiting to step inside in one bus, the driver send us to the other bus. We arrived to the other one, waiting to step in, when the driver send us to the other one. REALLY! Some people got small cildren, some people was really tired after a day in the sun and your drivers decided to make this dance with us, more than 100 people, you should hire proper drivers, tell them to be polite and learn at least basic English and customer service! They represent a part of your image!

Came here twice during our stay on the island – amazing experience both times! Beautiful beach, lovely staff, great service and delicious food. (We were lucky enough to get covered parking on both visits too!) Prices are reasonable, especially for the location – they could have charged more, but it’s comparable to what you’d pay in the city. We tried the burgers, Caesar salad, and souvlaki – all were very tasty. Also enjoyed a refreshing iced coffee on the beach. Would definitely come back again!

Very nice and young staff. Definitely a location where you can come with kids, friends & family or by yourself.

We discovered this beach club half way through our holiday in Zakinthos. Second best thing after our hotel. Quality sun loungers, stylish umbrellas and hammam towels (provided in first two rows). Food, drinks available to order through the QR code and waitressing service. To avoid stress of getting three lounges in the front, I made a reservation on the website , day before. Bliss. Quality food and drinks available in the restaurant with club music. We booked massages for all of us and they were very professional and strong - we asked for sport massages. Others are available too. There is a little boutique shop with stylish beach wear and friendly lady. Showers, changing rooms, very clean toilets, swings are available on the site. Further down on the beach are water sports which we pre booked on the day, and are not part of the club. We had a fantastic stay there and were back twice. ‘Mykonos vibe, but nicer at the fraction of the price’ Three front row sun loungers, hammam towels and umbrella €65.00 Cabanas are available too with €30 minimum spent pp. Cheaper sun loungers are available too. Everything was reasonably priced, which was a very nice welcome (and surprise) for the quality offered. This club made our holiday- good memories made!

We are very impressed with the restaurant! We settled in first on the beach, they immediately found us places, the sunbeds were quite clean and well-maintained. They came to serve us right away. Shortly after that, we sat down in the restaurant to have lunch. We really liked the food! Unique flavors, nothing was missing! As you can see from the photo, we ordered: beef carpaccio, surf and turf, bao buns and zucchini balls. Everything was excellent!!! The guy who served us took care of us the whole time, was extremely kind and responsive. I highly recommend this restaurant, for the beach, for lunch, it is simply incredible!!!

Kostas Brother is a remarkable, concealed oasis with impeccable service. Despite an inexperienced and anxious server, they managed to excel at their job even when we were the ones who made a mistake with our order. The appetizers were delectable, especially the cheese pies and courgette fritters, although the squid was slightly overpriced compared to local standards in Zante. The ambiance was absolutely charming, enhanced by pleasant live music that didn't overwhelm.
Very beautiful place with cats everywhere. The food was delicious, I recommend the starter for 1 person, everything was homemade. Main dish was excellent and very tasty. We received watermelon after dinner, nice gesture! There were two guys singing and playing mandoline and guitar, amazing atmosphere. Thank you!✨

We saw the restaurant sign on our way to the beach, checked the reviews, and since they’re so good we stop on our way back. It didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere in their garden was a 10, the food was delicious, good portions too. I would suggest booking in advance if possible since we were lucky enough to walk in and get a table, but most of them were booked.

Wonderful food with a great atmosphere. Set in a beautiful garden, the live music just made the evening more enjoyable. Traditional Greek food with traditional Greek music!

If you’re looking for more than just a meal but a truly authentic Greek experience, this taverna is the place to be. From the very first visit, when my future wife and I tried the lamb, moussaka, and octopus, we felt as though we’d stumbled upon something unique and unforgettable. Each dish was not only delicious but prepared with a touch of care and tradition that made the flavors stand out. On our most recent visit, I decided to try the pork chop and pork souvlaki. Coming from a country where pork recipes are deeply rooted in our culinary traditions, I wasn’t expecting to be impressed — but I was proven completely wrong. The meat was grilled to perfection: soft, tender, juicy, and yet fully cooked. The portions were so generous we couldn’t finish them and happily took some to go. What elevates this place far beyond the food is the people. The owner took the time to meet and greet us, instantly connecting with us on various topics while generously sharing the cooking secrets behind their incredible dishes. Alexandros explained how their octopus turns out so tender on the grill, and how the lamb is slowly prepared to perfection before serving. Conversations like these made us feel more like family than customers. Over multiple visits, that feeling has only grown stronger. Each time we’re welcomed with genuine smiles and enthusiasm from the owner, his father, and the entire team. Our server Christov added another layer to the experience — with thoughtful recommendations that sometimes surpassed our own choices, enriching the whole dining journey. The taverna is always bustling, and for good reason, but we’ve always managed to find a table for two even without a reservation. That, paired with the warmth of the staff, left me truly feeling special every time we dined here. This is not just a restaurant — it’s a place where you come as a guest and leave as a friend. Wholeheartedly recommended.

If you’re in Zakynthos and want to experience real Greek hospitality, Kostas Brother is a must! The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, the mousaka was rich and comforting, and the octopus was simply unforgettable. What amazed me most is that everything our waiter promised about the dishes turned out to be true — no exaggeration, just honesty served on a plate. We weren’t treated like “customers,” but like friends and family sharing a meal. And then, as if the food wasn’t enough, the atmosphere came alive with live Greek music, sung straight from the heart by the owner and his brother. Their voices, sincerity, and warmth filled the night with something magical. The whole place feels natural and green, like dining inside a little piece of paradise. Now, for the “cons” (which aren’t really cons at all): Portions are generous, you may need a small siesta before moving again. The music is so joyful you might find yourself clapping along before you realize it. The friendliness is dangerously addictive — you might just want to move in and never leave. In short, we loved everything. If you want delicious food, genuine people, and a place that feels like home, don’t miss this taverna.

We visited twice in a week. This restaurant is very popular with live music. It can be busy. Serving team are friendly and excellent English. They are attentive, at least until all the food is served, but then can drift due to the large numbers of covers. Food is very nice. We enjoyed all our meals. Atmosphere very lively for a small village and hugely enjoyable.

Very nice garden patio with bougainvillea flowers. Right next to banana beach clubs, so it is nice place have dinner after a long beach session day. You can immediately notice it is old hard working family establishment. Local cousins and selection of local cheese which i don’t see often in the other island restaurants. Around 10pm owner and i guess a friend of his starting play bouzouki and guitar which is nice for a enjoyable evening. Highly recommended if you are nearby part of the island. Reservation is recommended.

Porto Zorro Beach Hotel is a popular all-inclusive beachfront destination that offers a mix of natural beauty and modern atmosphere. The hotel boasts stunning views of the bright blue waters and two grandiose rocks, creating a striking backdrop against the verdant surroundings. Guests can relax on sunbeds and umbrellas before enjoying rock parties at the open-air bar. Located just south of Zante Town, it offers easy access to Porto Azzuro Beach Bar and other facilities.
Didn't stay here. I was hanging out at the beach and couldn't get a taxi back to my hotel in town so I walked up to the lobby and asked around. What seemed like a manager walked over and immediately called a taxi and gave me a free beer while I waited. Super helpful and quintessential Greek hospitality.

Lovely little hotel in a beautiful spot on Zakynthos. Rooms are kept clean, food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. Mr George the hotel manager is always around making sure any problems are solved quickly so that everyone can enjoy their hard earned holiday.
Fiona V — Google review
We chose this hotel because we wanted quiet peaceful holidays at the seaside, with a lovely sandy beach, in clean natural surroundings. However, everything apart from the awesome water in the sea, was terrible. First of all, it wasn't quiet: the hotel's restaurant, bar and beach bar were blasting bass music all day long, so you could forget about relaxing and reading a book on the beach - I couldn't even gather my thoughts. The bass was audible even in the room. Due to the constant noise, I suffered from a constant headache. Unfortunately, not only the music made lying on the beach unpleasant: the beach was simply dirty. Ok, it is a public beach, but it is adjacent to the hotel, there are the hotel's sunbeds on it, and yet the hotel does nothing to keep the area clean, even the sunbeds (which you need to pay for) are dirty and neglected (the mattresses are stained and the wooden bases are splintered). Also the beach is not really sandy, you need special shoes to enter the water near the hotel (a nice sandy beach is 50m away, next to an even louder and bigger beach restaurant). And well, the filth is the main characteristic of this place. There was even some rubbish stuck into the kitchen's window… The fan in the dining room was so dirty it was almost black… and it kept spinning and sending the dirt all over the place where you eat. What is more, the septic tank cover was located… in the middle of the dining room! One day, they emptied the tank 15 minutes before dinner, while a part of the food was already laid out on the trays 2 metres away. The septic pipe ran straight across the whole dining and bar area. How is this normal? You could smell the stench even on the top floor balconies, to say nothing that you could still smell it, when the dinner started… And crème de la crème, there were rats… We saw them twice. Once a single rat on the bar terrace in the evening and then, in the daytime, two rats on the beach, next to the sunbeds and the beach showers. The rooms were terrible too. Our room was lacking a table, chairs, laundry drier, and hairdryer. Moreover, we couldn't even stand straight in the room due to the roof slants, which constituted most of the room surface… Even our door was cut at an angle… We felt like Harry Potter in his closet under the stairs... Furthermore, it was super dark, the light bulb was so weak that I had to use the phone flash light to see anything in the cupboard or in my suitcase. There was a bedside lamp, but... the shade was broken, dirty, and full of dead insects, so I really didn't feel like using it. The balcony rails were all rusty, so you could forget about hanging your white towels there. In the bathroom, the shower drain was constantly clogged: 2 minutes into showering, and you were standing in a pool of water. No wonder if the shower drain looked the same as the one in the washbasin in which you could clearly see the hair of the previous inhabitants of the room… And as for the food, it was terrible, and I'm not talking about taste, as it's a personal thing, I'm talking about the total lack of respect for some basic nutritional and culinary rules, the food was prepared in such a way that it was simply unhealthy: the dishes were either overcooked (the vitamins must have been long gone from those veggies along with the taste…), undercooked (e.g. half raw fish, half raw potatoes) or burnt, or super greasy, as well as often served cold. Moreover, the dishes were not labelled, so if you're allergic to something or vegan, well, good luck. So yeah... As for the hotel service, the ladies at the reception desk were really nice, the barman also seemed to do his best, but I really cannot recommend this hotel. Sorry. It's not about the lack of luxuries: it's about the noise and the filth.
Patrycja P — Google review
For us, maximum satisfaction. Good hotel, varied food, nice staff and helpful manager. Beautiful beach in front of the hotel. We recommend! If you have high expectations, look elsewhere.
Peter T — Google review
The hotel pleasantly surprised me and my family! Starting from the very organization of Čedok's trip. Departure, arrival, check-in - everything worked like clockwork. The beginning of the trip is already promising. Let's get back to the hotel. Staff is very friendly, the girls at the service and reception are friendly, polite, and, importantly, sincere. Also, the hotel manager was very pleasant: he was cheerful, kind-hearted and even helped with the organization of a better room. The bartender Nicolas distinguished himself, you could see that the older man was doing his best. We liked the cocktails and the bar in general, too. The food is a bit monotonous, but very tasty. It is almost impossible to leave the restaurant being hungry. Even my daughter liked the desserts, hot dishes and salads. Husband especially appreciated the pasta and sauce. The rooms left a lot to be desired, but for a three star hotel they were good. At the end of the week when we were leaving, we had food prepared for the trip. Thanks to the manager and cooks for that. A solid 4 out of 5. Minuses: Sometimes too loud and repetitive music, but it’s okay.
Petra J — Google review
Don't let the good location or the surprisingly good reviews for this place fool you - on the surface the hotel seems nice, but once you actually get there you will soon see the flaws. First of all, the rooms are okay, not the worst but absolutely not the best. The mini fridge is right by the toilet? That's a bit off-putting. Also the shower curtain is actually a 'foot fungus yellow' colour, in short, not pleasant to the eye. The rooms do have AC, which is of course a good thing. The top floors have fairly nice balconies with most of them if not all having a view of the sea. Beds are clean, or as far as I know anyway, no complaints there. Onto the service. All I can say is it was really weird. If you are staying here as an all inclusive member, the staff will always be staring you down and as soon as you leave your plate for a few seconds, gone. They take it away, regardless of if there is food on it or not. The staff are all ladies who wear clothes which range from a t-shirt with leggings to a hospital gown despite them putting up a sign asking you to dress properly, making it seem more like a mental hospital than a hotel. The food choice is questionable. It isn't what you'd really expect from an all inclusive hotel's buffet. The food is different everyday, and the only meal I can safely say I liked each day is breakfast, as there were eggs every day which I am okay with. Sometimes lunch and dinner is pretty good, for example if there is souvlaki or even pizza for those with limited taste, however mostly it is just mystery meat in questionable sauce, not even any signs to tell you what it is you're about to ingest. Furthermore about the service, we once asked for an additional blanket at the reception, 20 minutes later an odd Ukrainian cleaner knocked on our door bringing us two sheets instead of the blanket we asked for, she followed by saying "No, no have", then spat an icecube out inti a cup while trying to be discreet, but failing miserably. She followed by switching to speaking fully Ukrainian before abruptly leaving. As for the beach service, there are sunbeds scattered around the beach which cost 10€ if you want one further from the water or 15€ for the ones closer to it. Whenever you claim a sunbed, a strange man appears near you and starts informing you of the price you now owe. The beach itself is nice, no points to deduct there. The location of the hotel is likely the best thing here, it is literally placed right on the seaside, although in order to get onto a main road you do have to perform a slightly tedious hike. Also if you don't have a car, forget about getting further out than 3 Km away from the stay, as the local bus is non-existant as far as I know. So overall, if you have standards slightly on the lower side, go for it and book it but if you want luxury, this is not the place.

Awesome place! There are comfortable rooms, polite staff, a lot of tasty food, possible to rent a car or motorbike and go wherever you want , cosy atmosphere in a hotel. Respect and gratitude to management and thanks for your hospitality! See you next year☺️❤️
Diana K — Google review
(Beach Only Review) The manager is a gentleman and he deserves high appraisal as he is very thoughtful and very customer-orianted. The sea is beautiful. However, the place itself is very disappointing, toilets are in bad condition, coffee is not good and unnecessarily expensive (5€) for that quality. Menu attached, you will see there is no breakfast included and limited options. Toast (6€) was very bad and should be removed from the menu in such lack of quality again. The place is mostly families so if you are looking for an different atmosphere this will not be your choice. Sunbed pricing 30€ frontsea and goes 20€ second line so on. PS: Do not get Tiktok influenced to this place.

Perched on Mount Skopos in the southeast of Zakynthos, Monastery Panagia Skopiotissa is a challenging yet rewarding climb, boasting a 15th-century church adorned with frescoes and an iconic Virgin Mary brought from Constantinople. The site's history dates back to the Temple of Artemis and offers stunning views of the sea and surrounding villages.
Another must-do hike on Zakynthos is the trail to the Skopiotissa Monastery. The entire route is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and once you reach the monastery, you can continue up to the mountain peak using a rope. From the top, you'll be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view over the whole island. It's definitely one of the places you have to see when visiting Zakynthos.
SudiPudi — Google review
Interesting historical place. If you go there by car DONT FOLLOW Google navigation. The road was not accessible for any type of vehicle due to rain damage. Instead going straight, turn left, just follow signs. About 1km before the monastery, see ruins of church with some wall paintings and beautiful views. You can also walk there about 4 - 5 km. Jusy before monastery there is a refreshment place. If you are fit you can hike (250m) from the gardens on the rock with 360° view. Free entrances.
P H — Google review
We were skeptical reading all the reviews regarding the road to get there. Luckily we didn't listen! Ok, it is a little off-road, but if you drive slowly and carefully, you can get to the top of the mountain without any issues with a standard car. We were greeted by this typical Greek lady. She tries to speak a little English, very charming. This lady opened the doors to the church. Around the church, you can walk around and enjoy a fantastic view of several parts of the island. We enjoyed our drinks and ice cream on the terrace under the trees. Follow the road signs of Skopos mountain. See photos. Free entrance. Just have something to drink. They will be very grateful
Eveline W — Google review
The monastery itself is not of great interest to look at. But the view from there is great. Definitely worth the journey. And there is a little cafe just before the monastery to stop off for coffee and drinks. But just to warn those attempting to get up here, you will need a 4 wheel drive. The road is steep and winding. You will struggle with a normal car.
K ( — Google review
Little monastery open to public for free on top of the high hill (as usual in Greek islands). There’s an amazing viewpoint (perhaps one of the prettiest) just a minute hike behind the monastery.
Vytautas M — Google review
The way up is quite dramatic by car, but it makes a nice hike and the views are spectacular when on top. The welcoming goats were a nice plus.
Federica F — Google review
Nice place, walked up there from Argassi. Lighten up some candles for those who passed on. Climbed on to the top of mnt Skoros. It was a very nice day to climb.
Harry B — Google review
Beautiful place, you can also climb the rock just behind the church and enjoy the view from up there. If you take the route from Laganas like we did, under any circumstances do not take a shortcut proposed by google maps, unless you want to climb a dried waterfall's almost vertical walls. Anyway this place is worth seeing;)

Nice small private beach. Sunbeds between 15 € third row and 20€ front row. Very nice bar which serves illy Cafe. Restrooms are nearly perfect. Parking for free.

Very nice beach, not very busy, excellent bar offer and great toilets :) There's also shower possibility.
Anca T — Google review
Well maintained clean beach, where you can settle down in the green grass area or in the sand. The sunbeds in the green area are free, but you are not allowed to bring food/drink, you have to consume in the restaurant or bar for minimum 35 EUR. Also as it is watered daily, there are many wasps, so it is a bit dangerous. The sunbeds in the sandy area were 20 EUR. The water is clean and shallow, good for children and snorkeling too. Free parking nearby.
Péter P — Google review
Best little beach so far. Not crowded, friendly service. Reasonable prices.
Thomas K — Google review
I enjoyed this private beach. The umbrellas are very good (unlike the plastic ones), the sand is perfect, the sunbeds are easy to move. The prices (umbrella+2sunbeds) on Plaka beach are lower than on the others around. There is a family restaurant there, you may order food on the beach directly. The food was very good and the owners were very kind to us. No safeguard. On windy days, beware of the rocks on the right, if you get closer, the stream will drag you towards behind the rocks where there is no beach. Ive seen around 10 people struggling -with help from others- to get out of there in just one day. Some ended up climbing the rocks. I guess this applies for all areas around where you may get closer to rocks having a different stream around them. This has nothing to do with the beach itself.
Adriana M — Google review
Nice place with beach bar. It was windy day and big waves, not possible to swim.
Radek P — Google review
Fine beach to take some photos of, but not that much to spend the whole day or for swimmers.
Marin K — Google review
Avoid this place and to screw your day for nothing. Most miserable customer approach ever met in Greece. Pretty far from city center, more expensive than promoted and welcomed by an agresive and rude “manager who does it all, which preffered to kick-us out (a familly of 2 adults and 3 children) instead of welcoming us for beach club (we wanted to get 2 sunbeds and an umbrella - 10€, drinks, snacks) and dinner in the tavern, just for asking him questions and telling him that his approach is completely unappropriate. The kids were not even loud and we just first went to the grass beds instead of going directly to the beach, knowing that we were soon going to be eating in the Tavern. He wasn’t even interested to hear what we were there for, being rude and approaching us in an agressive manner, from the very start, interested only in geting most of our money or kicking us out. His only argument for this was that he is the manager, that it is private property, he can kick us out whenever he wants and he doesn’t like nor want us to be there.

The Statue of Poseidon is a charming little gem tucked away near Punta Basta beach, making it a bit tricky to locate. Despite its modest size—standing at about three feet tall—it’s definitely worth the trek. The nearby beach bar offers great prices, and you can enjoy a lovely day on the beach with an umbrella and two sunbeds for just 10. This delightful spot complements the stunning resort known as 'The Bay,' creating a perfect backdrop for relaxation and exploration.
Exactly what it seems, a statue of poseidon by the wonderful resort 'the bay' !

Splendid little beach, a bit out of the way and difficult to find lol I missed it several times going round on myself. I thought the statue was going to be bigger 🤣 but it's tiny maybe 3 feet tall. Still it was worth the journey the Punta Basta beach bar had good prices and the beach is really nice also an umbrella and two sunbeds is only €10.

Great place! The room was clean and spacious, with new towels and sheets everyday! Good food in the restaurant and the beach close by is amazing. The music played by the owner was great and was really enjoyable. Had a great time at the Plaka Beach Resort. A good recommendation for sure!

Do not listen to the negative reviews. Let’s start with what could’ve been better (which is not much): -The shower was a bit small, and the cable was a bit too short, but it was alright. -You need to pay extra for airconditioning, which I really recomment. It can get really hot. What was good: -Super nice staff. I have seen some negative reviews about the people who work here, especially about the man who serves the breakfast. This man was actually really nice to us. Sometimes he was busy, so he gave short answers that can be interperted as rude, which it really wasn’t. Every staff member was really nice to us! -The breakfast was fine! We got 2 sorts of fruit, and a basket of bread with jam/honey and butter everyday. Sometimes we got a cooked egg, other times baked. Bread with ham and cheese, and sometimes bacon. We also got a slice of cake every day. We got orange juice and coffee/tea. For me it was more than enough. -We had lunch here and it was good! -Location is beautiful. Our apartment was a few minutes walking from the beach. You do have to pay 20 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, but it was worth it. This way nobody could claim it with towels. -Cleaning service was good. Our room got cleaned everyday, and we got new towels every 3 days. Trash got emptied and floor was clean. Thank you for our pleasant stay!

The rooms are good. The shower cable was a bit to short so it was a little bit akward turning around in the shower. I would say it is needed to purchase the airconditioning because it could get very hot. The wifi did not work for me though. Breakfast is fine, the bread and the fruit is good. The location where you have breakfast is nice with a view over the beach. The service there is good. The location was good for us, not too busy while still plenty of things to do nearby. If you want to explore the island the drives are not super long. A bit more than an hour to reach the north tip for example but it are beautiful roads to drive around.

Everything I ate at the taverna was delicious. Vegetables are mainly grown in their garden and I really appreciated the real tomatoes, and not the 'plastic' ones from the supermarket. We returned multiple times to eat here. Prices are good, the view is very nice and there is also a playground for kids. We never had something added extra to the bill, as we encountered at other tavern. I recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Last week we were staying in Tragaki and hired a car We were recommended plaka beach My elderly mum with walking issues and my aunty and my 2 daughters arrived and were getting g settled for the day in this lovely location. An older gentleman helped us to our beds and umbrella which cost 20€ My daughter placed her towel on the sand and lay down and we were just getting settled when a rude man who I assume was the owner came over and asked if we just wanted 2 beds and 1 umbrella? I told him my daughter would be in the sea and we would see how it went and we would let him know if we wanted more beds. He then threw 20€ at me and told us all to leave. I was taken aback with his attitude and he then started accusing us of abusing his facilities What he was getting at was that as 5 people we should be renting more beds He did not make this clear that this was the rules as we would have just done this. What a horrible rude man he was We planned to stay for the day in this lovely bay We would have bought drinks and food He claimed that it was clear about the beds however it just stated that 3beds and an umbrella was 2O€ not that everyone must rent a bed. He absolute ruined our day and was so disrespectful to both my elderly relatives. He watched them walk the distance - struggling , get comfortable then ask us all to leave. With no justification . I would not recommend people go here! He was the only rude person we encountered during our weeks stay .

The cuisine at Taverna Florida was outstanding! We began with delectable zucchini croquette balls and enjoyed a green coffee and frappe. The chicken casserole spaghetti dish, accompanied by garlic bread, was also superb. The bread contained ample amounts of fresh garlic, warding off vampires and pleasing Italian palates alike. With a stunning beach view, the restaurant provided impeccable service from friendly and attentive servers.
Highly recommended! We stayed in Zakynthos and we enjoyed our dinner every evening at this traditional, family-run Greek taverna. We discovered this place 11 years ago and immediately loved it, both for the food and the beautiful view. Typical Greek dishes with generous portions and always fresh ingredients, from the meat to the vegetables and fish. Everything was delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Dimitri, and his family. The staff was super kind!

Lovely setting overlooking the sea. Pleasant staff. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the food. The spaghetti bolagnaise was dry with very little sauce. The baby pork suckling pig was extremely salty. Would not recommend sadly

I ate there twice in 4 days because the food and the service were outstanding. The two men waiting on us were very nice and very accommodating. My favourite spot to eat out of all the places I went. It gets a bit chilly up there for dinner so wear a jacket!

If you want to have something to drink or eat while enjoying a beautiful view, this is the place. We were on our way back to Zakynthos town when we decided us for a quick pitstop here. We ordered tsaziki, bread, Mythos beer and Greek coffee. Service and prices are fine and the view is excellent. As we only had a light meal i can not evaluate the quality of the food served here, but i guess it is quite good as everything else was fine here. I recommend going here for the view.

An excellent stop to eat some traditional authentic greek taverna food. This reustarant boasts handpicked local delicacies like ladotiri and gourounopoulo (roasted baby pork). Its a family run business so the service is courteous and homely. The owner Dimitris is very accomodating and friendly. Visit and you wont be dissapointed.

I was eager to sample the grilled octopus: it is now recognized that in Greece, they often mishandle fish in the kitchen. However, considering the dish's price (30€), I believed it was worth a try. I received a small whole octopus with the tips of its tentacles charred, while the rest of the octopus had the texture of a scuba mask mouthpiece. I attempted, without success, to chew the unfortunate cephalopod that had been so poorly treated, and I ended up feeling disappointed as I gazed at the stunning seascape that the restaurant provided.

Incredible! There's no other word for the food, atmosphere, and staff here. We had chicken souvlaki and lamb chops and wine. It's unbelievably good. The view and sunset with the mountains and water add to the beauty of this place. If you want a great meat dinner, this is the place.

Beautiful seaside location with a stunning view. The staff spoke good English and there was a nice selection of traditional Greek dishes. The hog roast looked delicious, even though I didn’t try it. Despite being on the main road, it felt peaceful and not distracting. Overall, good value for money.
