I had been here for a show at night, so wasn't sure what to expect in the daylight. But i was pleasantly surprised. The acoustics are amazing, your voice sounds amplified when you speak in the centre of the stage. It is almost unnerving. I would recommend a visit.

Amazing condition with only basic restoration. To be able to climb tge steps & sit on the ancient seats is such a treasure. Would be fantastic to attend a show there. A small museum was also quite interesting. The walk through the remaining archaeological site was sadly cut short due to rainy weather.

This is a place to visit indeed, a massive and well-restored ancient theatre overlooking the mountains. We have seen other theaters before, in Thermessos, Aspendos and Phaselis in Antalya, this one is far bigger though. The place has great acoustics and definitely worth a visit, there’s also a museum with findings and inscriptions from the past and a large archeological site.

Incredible site to see! Highly recommend. If you sing, this is a chance to get heard by strangers for an impromptu performance with amazing acoustics and likely applause from visitors. We got lucky and got to hear a short casual performance.

An absolutely incredible site and a must-see in Greece! The ancient theatre of Epidaurus is astonishingly well preserved and famous for its perfect acoustics — you can literally hear someone speaking or dropping a coin from the stage, even from the top rows. The setting among green hills adds to the magic of the place. The surrounding archaeological site and small museum are also worth a visit. It’s an easy and peaceful walk around. Truly one of the highlights of any trip to the Peloponnese!

It’s impressive to see the theatre, views from the top are wonderful. We did also catch a girl briefly singing & the acoustics are just amazing. The rest of it is just ruins! Very expensive at €20 each - it’s not worth that. No audio guide, not even a restaurant open! No discount for English seniors either, EU only! Another brexit bonus. It was dog friendly - though not allowed in the actual theatre.

Just one of the most beautiful antique theatre in the world, actually maybe Number One. An incredible place, a perfect acoustic creation in the middle of a wild nature. A definitely don’t miss site of Greece !!

We didn’t originally plan to see this archaeological site, but it ended up being one of my favourites. While the theatre was jammed full of tour groups, the rest of the site was wide open and it felt like we had it mostly to ourselves. The informational panels really painted the pictures of the history of the site, and we were so glad we got to experience it. Spent about 1 hour wandering, not including the theatre.

The most important holistic healing sanctuary of the Ancient Greek world. Pilgrims flocked from all over the shop to visit this sacred precinct and would have enjoyed a wide variety of treatments that included: sacred theatre for the purpose of katharsis (the purging of negative emotions), balancing of the humors, herbal medicines, surgery (with anesthesia), divine healing dreams, bathing in and drinking of sacred mountain spring water, intellectual stimulation in libraries, exercise, massage, adoration of the gods, diet regimens, one-on-one consultations with healer priests or a healer seer/dream interpreter (iatromantis), communion and ritual feasting with the gods, and a LOT more. They don’t make em like that no more (but they should!)

20 euros to see epidaurus was robbery. Small bare museum, terrible curatorship of the whole site with bare details just specifying archeological details with barely anything about the lives of the people that once inhabited it. The theatre is nice but having seen Taormina and syracuse in sicily I would say put those 20 euros towards a trip to sicily cuz this is not worth the money.

Visiting this site off season, helps you to enjoy the sanctuary of Asklepion and all its history….during crowded season, you are concentrated too much only on the theatre. Museum is a bit too small, but the site is well preserved and with good and clear explanations. A lot of parking

Great theatre but the remains are sparse, doing it part of a tour so couldn’t say about the price of the pass to get in. The drive getting there is nice.

A healing center of the Ancient Greece. It is a very large and green area with a lovely museum that has remnants of glorious buildings, doctors tools and records of the greatful patients. The Stadium is of great interest. The theater is a gem, best preserved and with incredible acoustic.

The Asklepion is a Classical Greek sanctuary for those seeking healing. The site is in a beautiful area with trees and scenery that invokes a feeling if peace and perhaps healing. It is easy to envision travelers making their way here seeking cures, perhaps even miracles. The theater alone is with the visit for anyone looking for a good classical site photo op though.

Simply the best grill house — not just in the region (Argolis, Peloponnese), but in all of Greece. A family business with a long tradition that has even traveled the world before returning home. The people are lovely and deeply passionate about their roots and cuisine. They use fresh, natural products from their own property. I’ve known them for quite a while and make a point of stopping by a few times each summer. I always enjoy the lamb chops/païdakia (my favorite), the olives, and other traditional dishes — not to mention their refreshing white wine, best enjoyed under the trees on the terrace. It’s truly the best place for grilled meat, and Jimmy is a fantastic chef, carrying on the legacy of his father, Christos, who passed away a few years ago. Give it a try — you’ll be back for more!

A fantastic grill spot. A bit out of the way but worth the visit. Very helpful and friendly staff. We ordered the tzatziki, Greek salad and mixed grill for 4. Would really recommend this so you can try a little bit of everything.

We found this place completely be accident. We didn’t have any BBQ because we were in Greece and wanted to experience Greek food. We had already eaten so; we only had the appetizers. There was extremely poor cell phone reception when we were there so, I was not sure if I could find it on my google maps when I got home. But I felt obligated to find it on my maps and give it a review because it was the best food, I had eaten the entire 2 ½ week vacation of exploring the mainland and 4 different islands. It was the best Cheese Pie I have ever eaten. Their Greek salad was wonderful, and my French wife loved the fried Zucchini. PS. I almost forgot about the homemade Garlic Bread - Delicious 🤗

For Easter lunch, we had an exceptional dining experience in this accessible restaurant. From start to finish, it was a delightful meal that left us feeling satisfied and happy.

This is a great place which feels like going back in time. We only stopped for coffee but the lady was very friendly and offered us some delicious home made cake to go with it. Really worth a stop

part of a day trip, prices were pre arranged and the menu items were limited. out of 20 people possibly only 1/4 ate most of their food. some of the food was cold, some was mostly fat, the ketchup was in a jar and was 3 different colours, the pasta was not fresh.

We ordered veal steak but was server pork chop steak. We complained but they said it is baby veal.. it was pork.. I could not eat it.. They kept insisting that it is baby veal.. horrible service and bad food.. please watch out..

I am totally impressed.. don't forget to visit the museum too.. and the ancient site too. Try to go early in the morning ..

A beautiful Temple where people would go for healing. You would be given potions, or handle snakes, and then you would be put to sleep in a dream chamber. After you told your dream, a healer would help you interpret it, and make offerings or do rituals to help you heal. Historical, lovely site!

The Stadium at the Asclepieion of Epidaurus is a significant ancient Greek athletic facility that formed an integral part of the sanctuary dedicated to Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing. Built primarily in the 4th century BC, it hosted athletic competitions, known as "gymnikoi" (as competitors were nude), as well as contests in rhapsody, music, and drama, all part of the "Asklepieia" festival held every four years in honor of the god. The stadium was ingeniously constructed within a natural depression in the ground, with the slopes shaped to accommodate spectators. In its earliest form (5th century BC), spectators likely stood or sat on humble stepped constructions of fieldstones and clay. However, from the 4th century BC onwards, limestone seats began to be manufactured and installed for the spectators along the two long sides of the stadium. Restoration efforts have focused on shaping the track and restoring seats on the south side, with the vaulted passage restoration also in progress. While not as large as the famous Epidaurus Theatre, the stadium had a significant capacity, indicating the large number of people who gathered for the "Asklepieia" festival. Beyond athletic events, the games at Epidaurus were deeply intertwined with the healing practices of the sanctuary. The festival, including the athletic contests, was believed to contribute to the physical and spiritual well-being of the pilgrims seeking healing. In Roman times, starting from the 1st century AD, games in honor of Roman emperors, known as "Caesareia" and "Sebasteia" (Augustea), were also held here. The Stadium at Epidaurus stands as a testament to the comprehensive approach to well-being in ancient Greece, where physical exercise and public spectacle were considered integral to a healthy life, complementing the therapeutic practices of the Asclepieion.

Brilliant. Have now been 3 times and thete is always something new to learn. No longer strike a match ro test acoustics, or drop a coin. But you can clap.

Loved this, there is a lot to see at the Asclepion and the museum is worth the time as many of the items recovered from the excavations are held in the museum. Of course, there is the theatre too. It is wonderful to witness the complete approach to health of the ancient greeks

A small and beautiful monastery dating back to the early 11th century, offering visitors a peaceful atmosphere with its flower-filled courtyard. The nuns are very kind. There is also a small shop where they sell products made by the monastery, and the items are quite lovely.

It's a beautiful place but the main picture of Virgin Mary is moved out to another monastery. The wall paintings are worth seeing for sure. Photos are not allowed inside the temple but there is no visible sign to prohibit them.

Amazing place. This is incredible, hard to believe that ancient Greeks built such a big theatre for probably 14000 people, with this view, acoustic, quality. They performed with no technology and thousands of people were arriving thousands of kilometres without cars, planes, only boats and carriages, to see the art of the theatre, not to watch killing people and animals. It was even more advanced culture than we think usually.

This is a very small amphitheater in city of Epidaurus. You are looking for Theatre at the ANCIENT City of Epidaurus, 20km away.

The beach was amazing. They had very comfortable loungers at affordable prices with nice cushions. They had a large variety of drinks and food, and it was very comfortable. When the sun hit us, they kindly put up an extra umbrella so that we could be in the shade.The water was amazing absolutely stunning and we super enjoyed our day. I can’t recommend it enough.

Nice beach in Napfliou, you rent the chairs for 15 euro a pair. Beer is 8 euro for 2 big ones. Water is warm but very salty.

I love Tolo beach outside of the season. Its nicer when its not over crowded. Its a sandy, shallow beach which is child friendly for that reason. There are many bars and taverns also a water park at the beach. Tolo beach used to be a blue flag beach, but it has lost its flag in summer of 2025 due to disorganization of the beachside and garbage. The water quality is still good.

Love this area! Clean beach, many shops and restaurants. The growing city is making parking more difficult. Many nice hotels available.

Tolo, unfortunately, has been overexploited through the years. Don't let the seemingly picturesque photos fool you. The beach that used to be the main attraction is literally covered with seats and sunbeds from the local shops. If this was done tastefully, it would be fine. However, the prices are similar to those found in Greek islands and kitsch is the order of the day everywhere. Go to Nafplio instead instead of spending a day here

A beautiful sandy beach with shallow water. There are outdoor showers, deckchairs, changing cabins, free parking, food, drinks, shallow water in the sea for non-swimmers and for children. There is not much space for sports on the beach, but it is worth visiting. Fun little beach.

Amazing venue!!! Highlight of our trip. I cannot recommend this place enough.. we drove for 45 minutes from Tolo to get to this paradise. The food is amazing, the beach is great, calm and peaceful. You can spend the day on the sunbeds and take a swim whenever you want. The staff is very kind and the prices are fair.

We didn’t even get the chance to eat. The place was extremely overcrowded, and although we were given a table after 10 minutes, it hadn’t been cleared from the previous guests. We waited another 20 minutes, but no one came to clean it or take our order, so we ended up leaving. Very disappointing experience — we hope they improve their service and organization.

Restaurant was very disappointing. Beautiful location, but staff was very abrupt and unfriendly, food options limited, not creative, very bland, and inelegantly served. Of serious concern was that there were large mice/rats eating the grapes on the trellis covering the dining area - and pooping on our table. Really gross and there are many potential hazards with that. Significant room for improvement all around and not a place we'd return to or recommend.

I didn't stay at the hotel , I have only visited the restaurant which the vegeterian main dishes options are not always available . They offered me pasta with tomatoes sauce intead , the problem with that was that the sauce was precoocked with meat, so I couldn't eat it. If you have a vegetarian diet make sure before you'd be sitted that the dishes are available.

Our first review dates from a couple of years back from the time we had our wedding there. Ever since we have revisited Mouria every single summer! The homely atmosphere in this splendid environment makes us feel at ease and helps us unwind from our daily routine. The people there are friendly, never pushy and always remember you. A little piece of paradise that is worth sharing but you want to keep a secret at the same time. We had to leave yesterday, but are sure to return again next year. Thanks for everything! :-) ———— We discovered Mouria about a year ago. An idyllic and peaceful hotel with amazing location, staff and food. A couple of days ago Mouria hosted our wedding. It was magical! We couldn’t have hoped for anything more. Atmosphere, service and food were amazing. We felt very at home and look forward to returning for visits on a regular basis when in need to recharge our batteries!

The food tasted good but the portions were small and it was overpriced. The Greek salad was good and tasty. The vegetarian dishes were really small portions but cost a lot (9€ for one). The beef with onions tasted really good but again, the price was really high as if it was in some luxury restaurant (12€). Overall I wouldn't recommend visiting this restaurant, the high prices are simply making it not worth it.

Avoid. Very expensive, food is avarage at best, small dishes. Just to understand the price - small sparkelig water, 3 5 eur. Normal price is 1 eur in other restaurants! When we asked for a menu he didn't gave us as he said that not all the dishes available. Skip this place.

Was overpriced relative to the quality of the offering. To be fair, we were there for lunch as part of a bus tour in the off season. There was nobody else there. So I suspect they were trying to be as efficient as possible, limiting the choices and having pre-prepared meals all ready for service. But still, it was 25% more expensive than any other comparable meal we had in Greece, so we felt a bit held hostage. And the food quality was OK at best. My risotto was way too oily and saucy. The spaghetti in carbonara sauce was very straightforward. And the chicken kabob took way too long to bring out (the rest of the table had finished their meals!) and was a rather ordinary dish that should have been 3 Euros less than what was charged.

We where here with a group of 54 people and everyone was happy with the quality of the food. We did not have 1 complaint. The staff spoke English and you could go in the back where they explained the different dinner options.

Wonderful experience of a Greek Taverna with amazing friendly service. Located right on the Beachfront. The ability to relax, partake in swimming in the clear waters whilst waiting for your meal to arrive is a Great joy of the Greek Summer's. A Great fresh produce and meals served fresh. A nice choice of Ouzo for watching the world travel by. A truly unique experience. Will definitely be back

We came by sailboat and had a nice dinner. It was well made if slightly on the bland side - we needed more salt but that could be due to us sweating a lot and needing extra sodium intake :) The two waiters were friendly. This place has a lot of flies, mist of the seats are ripped. Never ever order baby squids. They look nothing like squids and tastes awful.

Vivid little tavern right on the sea, visited by many locals. The food was fresh and tasty, and came quickly despite the place was full and other restaurants in the area closed earlier because of the heatwave. The staff was very efficient and despite the heat kept working and serving customers with a smile and an attentive eye… chilled atmosphere and value for money too!

This place must be the hidden gem in Tolo. Dont take my words. Visit their website and you ll see. The owners did an exceptional job by renovating the rooms and the taverna with Tulum vibes. The stuff are very friendly, positive, helpful and make the experience even better. The rooms have beach view and you literally walk downstairs and get into the water. Incredible. The prices are super fair and i would say a steal if you take into consideration the fact that you are on the water at all times. I have been all over the world but this tiny place really impressed me. Thank you for the hospitality, the kindness and the love and attention to detail. Thank you!!

Great home made food, a family run tavern with friendly service and some exquisite Greek traditional dishes, right on the beach! You can start of with coffee and/or breakfast in the morning, enjoy the sun and the sea, have the kids play around safely and have your lunch right on the beach.

One of the best museums i have visited. The collection of fossils, insects, crystals etc is amazing. You can tell the love, care and all the hard work of the people that created this collection and the museum. It's a small museum but with plenty of information and great value. If you are around Epidaurus definitely worth visiting!

Absolutely magnificent collection! If you have to choose between this and the ancient theatre in town, do this. The price of 2 eur is way too low for what you get. It should definitely be increased. If i could, i would have suggested to put the insects in some kind of epoxy to preserve them.

This museum is really great, lots of fossils and crystals. The finds are beautifully laid out. Many of the finds are local to the area and so add to the understanding of the local region. We really enjoyed our trip here. Thank you.

It's a nice little museum. It was open in September 2021 and the entrance fee was just €2. I would recommend it if you are in the area. It's like a museum of aliens :)

What a lovely place to eat our lunch! The lady was really nice, although she did not speak english. However with some word greeks and hand gestures she definitely understands it. We had some really good pita gyros here and enjoyed watching the locals here. There were some old men sitting at the table playing cards and drinking a lot of ouzo. When we went to pay for the food the lady even offered us some ouzo.

Gorgeous secluded beach. Not sure why people are saying it’s dirty - it’s not a catered beach, so take your rubbish away and it will stay clean for everyone. Water was fresh and the beach is stony - bring shoes and you’ll enjoy it even more. Some sea urchins on the rocks round the side so just be careful.

Stunning “hidden” beach.. a must go early hours when nobody is there. The water is very clean and you can see maybe sea turtles if you are lucky. Just watch out for sharp stones.

Nice bay. Usual pebbly surface until you get about knee deep then a mixture of sand and stones but not a real problem on the feet. Easy to float as water is so salty. Lots of fish if you want to snorkel and water very clear. Take your own chairs or sunbeds.

Nice beach. The showers and changing cabins are on the beach before it, where the cars can park. We reached it by swimming from that one. Deep water, beautiful views in all directions.

Kalamaki Beach is a hidden gem along the coast of Ancient Epidaurus. The beach is quiet, serene, and offers a rare sense of privacy, perfect for anyone looking to escape the crowds. The natural shade provided by the trees makes it an ideal spot to relax under the sun without the need for umbrellas. The waters are clear and inviting, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and rejuvenating. A truly unique place to enjoy nature, swim, and unwind.

Very crowded during weekends in summer, very noisy especially for the tents cause there spot is next to a street. The water of the sea is often dirty, no sand just stones. Toilets are very old but clean. There is a small shop for the basic food and a very good taverna.

One of the better camps I've stayed at – very peaceful and with plenty of natural shade. The lady who welcomed me and later saw me off was more than kind. The beach isn't amazing, but it's perfectly fine for a refreshing afternoon swim after visiting Epidaurus and Mycenae, which are nearby. I'll definitely be coming back 😁

A nice Camping zone for 2-3 nights. The sea is very nice. We have seen turtles directly in front. The little shop and the facility’s are very close by. The parking spaces are good for small cars. The bigger ones had their problems at the front area. The toilets are clean. I just give 4 stars because the stuff isn’t that friendly When we liked to check out around 11 am nobody was available at the reception and the cellphone number was also not available which was placed on the door. Amazing to snorkel here and see the ruins by yourself. What was sad though is that everybody was standing on the ruins while in the water. Very disrespectful. Now I’m hoping that at some point there would be a sign put out telling people how to behave while snorkelling and swimming there. Owned by family, the 2 brothers were so very attentive and the food was delicious!!! By their recommendation I had their “Pork in the oven” a marinated pork knuckle!!! Which I learned they make only 12 a day after they marinate it in their very special marinade. I was so fortunate to get the last one!! The meat literally just burst with flavors and melted in my mouth with EVERY bite. Their local Greek house wine was lovely!! A jovial group of couples from Poland were next to me and raved about their food. The Old School House offers exceptional value and quality when it comes to traditional Greek food. The gyros and souvlaki are absolutely gorgeous—authentic, flavorful, and satisfying. We were so disappointed, we wait about 1 hour or hour and half for our food to come out! So you should KNOW that they will serve all the village people first! All the tables around us order a lot after that,and leave while we were still waiting. We were a party of 5 with 3 little kids. So this restaurant has some pretty good food their 4.6 rate is a realistic rate. They have a nice menu with lots to choose from. When we were there we had the souvlaki plate and the octopus the octopus was very good but there is no side dish to accompany the dish. The souvlaki plate on the other hand is complete with pork fries and tzatziki. The pork was on the fatty side so you can to decide if you eat it or remove it from each piece. Al in all it was a good meal at a decent prices. Go have a try you should enjoy it as well.

excellent place and good food however my review is quite low due to the fact that we arrived slightly before the opening (9:20 am) asked the owner to open the umbrella in order to have shadow at the table we were about to sit for our 6months baby and he advised we should wait for the barista to arrive. On the opposite side the barista was very polite as always and apologized for any inconvenience.
