Lighthouses
Faro de la Entallada, an active lighthouse with Moorish architecture, is a must-see landmark on Fuerteventura. Situated on Punta de la Entallada, it overlooks the Strait of La Entallada and guides ships through the shipping channel between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote with its visible light extending over 20 nautical miles.
Unbelievable place to visit. Crazy road to it, but worth the hair raising moments negotiating the bends of the road with sheer drops off the edge, whilst praying no one was coming the other way! Absolutely spectacular views from the top. Interesting lighthouse, although the building museum wasn’t open it was a great place to walk around. Be prepared for the strong winds. Walking to the viewing platform is not for the faint hearted - but if you can manage it, it’s worth it.

The view is worth all my fear while driving up. Road is very narrow. Is few car bays where you can passing other car. On google you can see is open from 10 o'clock. I've been there after 10 o'clock and was still close so I'm not sure if you can enter inside the faro.

I loved it. Great views, atmosphere, nice and scenic ride to the top. Had a sadwiched and just enjoyed the scenary. Btw. there is no WC, restaurant or anything up there, so keep it in mind.

Great view, worth visiting. The road to the lighthouse is very narrow, no borders, if you re afraid of heights be prepared to drive slowly. But the view is worth it. A big museum of African masks, sculptures inside the lighthouse, looks very impressive and surrealistic! Was surprised that such great collection and free entrance. Would galdy buy some miniatures for good memories, but nothing there.
Nata D — Google review
Fantastical view, it's worth the vist. It's easy to reach, by car, or a 20 minute hike ( if you leave your car down ). Don't get intimidated by the other comments, the road is wide enough for two cars, and also the traffic is not big, just drive slowly. There isn't much to do, enjoy the view and make some photos.

Beach
Playa de los Pobres is a beautiful beach with extensive volcanic sands, offering a great view of the small harbor town nearby. It's usually quiet and quite windy, making it perfect for surfing and windsurfing. While parking may be limited, taking a walk through the resort is worth it. The clear waters allow for snorkeling to see plenty of fish, although there are some stones on the beach.
Nice Long Beach with black sand and stones.

A beautiful beach with dark sand and a great view of the small harbour town next to it. Definitely worth a visit.
Leo A — Google review
Nice little beach. The town Las Playitas has a nice seafront and promenade. But aside from that, the town has little to offer and lots of houses in poor condition. Tip: Visit the lighthouse nearby: Faro de Entallada. Definitely worth it.
Bram S — Google review
Laying on the sand and all day is not my thing. I like to do a little snorkeling, exploring the marine life. The thing is that this beach is not the best for any ot these activities. Too much wind to enjoy whatever. I walked the whole beach from end to end. The best spot is the northern end - near the kiosk. In the water - lots of sea hares and some fish. When there is no wind I'm sure the other end will be better, just don't know when that day will come.
Stoimen — Google review
Beautiful extensive beach below the hills. Usually quite quiet and often very windy. Not much nearby parking, you may have to walk through the resort.

The Statue of Lady in the spotty dress is a lively sculpture located along the seafront at Gran Tarajal. Among several other statues and sculptures in the area, this one stands out as a favorite due to its association with the Tran Tran festival. The character depicted is very curious and exudes a joyful vibe, making it quite memorable for visitors.

Big black sandy beach. With a long promenade to go for walks. Lots of locals, a few restaurants and bars on the promenade, friendly and not at all commercial. If you are after a peaceful holiday, this is the place for you. You can catch the sun rise, if you are up early enough. A lot of walls have cool murales, some are unfortunately fading. There's a clown festival in October, called Tran Tran, which brings in a lot tourists.

This town is mostly is mostly populated by locals which makes it a great location if you want to feel more of the authentic Canary Islands. Bars and restaurants close to the beach, and there's a small port as well. Just outside town there's a small industrial park with a few warehouses and businesses. Sand is not as yellow/white as you may be used with other beaches on the island.

It’s local diverse version of Chinese food since there’s barely any Chinese living here. Food tasted ok but all what we ordered are rather oily.
Katherine L — Google review
Chinese food is always good idea :) Good price, food in short time, big portion, maybe a little bit fatty, kind servers.
Eliška B — Google review
Cheap drinks. Strange food. Food came really quickly. I had a throughly terrible shrimp, chinese mushrooms and bamboo dish. Good shrimp ruined by a lazily cooked bland brown sauce. Bisto tastes better!! Also almost no mushrooms or bamboo. Rice costs extra. Definitely felt cheated on that one. My wife had a duck with orange dish. Good sized portion but again no memorable taste. Just an overall bad value experience. The good news is there is better restaurants on the same promenade.
Brian R — Google review
This is a warning! Do not order any kind of food there. We took menu for 2 persons with 5 different dishes. None was good, none was chinese cuisine either. We have been in China several times so this is not chinese cuisine for sure - more like spanish imitation of chinese cuisine with low quality ingredients. Awful red jelly sauce with not definable taste, no soya sauce at all. The salad and frozen vegetables rice has pieces of canned meat. The safest option is to order only bottled beer/beverages. At first we were a bit surprised that no one was order any kind of food but after our meal - we knew why. That was the worst meal during our two weeks on Fuerteventura.
Jagoda M — Google review

We were totally happy with the 3-course lunch menu for 10.90 which included one soft drink (we loved the cheese cake and the yoghurt as dessert!). I find it difficult to comprehend the negative feedback regarding Piccola Italia Gran Tarajal. During my visit on a Sunday evening, I had the pleasure of experiencing excellent service and delicious pizzas. The value for money was impressive, making it a worthwhile dining experience overall. This pizzeria impressed me with its flavorful pizzas that were rich in taste. Although I did not try their pastas, they appeared enticing and well-presented. The establishment boasted cleanliness, freshness, and appetizing dishes.
Amazing pizzeria, with pizzas rich in flavor! I haven’t eaten pastas, but they look really nice as well. Clean, fresh and tasty! Our first visit, but definitely not the last one.

Amazing pizzas, incredible pasta and huge salads! This place deserves a much higher rating than the one it had when we visited (3.8). The pizzas were light and perfectly cooked in their wood fired oven and the homemade pasta was great and in an amazingly tasty sauce. Service was good and it’s well located opposite a park on the beach so we could enjoy a beer while keeping an eye on the kids while we waited for the food. A very lucky find for our group of six adults and six kids!

Located in Gran Tarajal, . is a must-visit spot for seafood lovers. The restaurant offers a chilled atmosphere and friendly staff who are accommodating even if you speak broken Spanish. With menu translations available in multiple languages, it's easy to explore the offerings. The establishment's proximity to the fish port ensures access to fresh catches all year round. Amazing lunch, fish super fresh and super delicious, fair prices, very chilled atmosphere as I like it. Ate too much! Loved it, really worth coming here. The people working in this restaurant are also super nice, we were comunicating in our broken Spanish but they were kind and understanding. Great experience!!!! Amazing place if you like culture about Canary Islands, especially about Fuerteventura, cereals and life style in that time. I would like to say a lot of thanks Gemma for your nice time with us, and your kind and the history class about mills and gofio.
ALBERTO S — Google review
The best thing about the place was Natalie, which told a lot about the place, and answered all questions about details I wondered about the wind mill. She is from Gran Canary and was also very kind to tell about things to when we later go there! But about this place again: A small museum showing some of old days every day life on this island.

Found this well-organized museum by coincidence but it‘s definitely worth a visit - interesting facts around the local festivities for the historic war triumph in 1740. Additional facts about the local customs and architecture are available as well.

Great little museum telling the story of an attempted invasion by British privateers in 1740 which was defeated by the plucky local militia. Very well presented and informative exhibition set in a traditional rural house. Google says it is closed but it isn't.

The coastal town of Playa de Giniginamar is a charming and serene destination. This idyllic seaside village offers a peaceful atmosphere for visitors seeking tranquility. With its tranquil and calm ambiance, this seaside hamlet provides a relaxing haven away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The beach itself boasts a sense of serenity, allowing tourists to fully immerse themselves in the soothing sounds of the waves crashing against the shore.
Black stone beach, but very calm and almost without people. Parking is very close & easy. And there's a gang of local cats you can cuddle with.
Michal K — Google review
Well, it's not super pretty but the sea is super calm when the wind is coming from the north. It's a stony, black sand, beach. There's not much there but there does seem to be a popular cafe but, from the smell of it, it's mainly a fish place... a smell that is pretty strong. If you are like me and really want to swim every day, it's good that it's there but it'd not be high on my list of great spots otherwise.
Brighton P — Google review
Absolutely lovely place to stay while we were on holiday. It's definitely not a resort or a touristic town. It's a small village surrounded by beautiful scenery. The beach is pebbles but calm. There is a bar right by the water where the locals are super lovely and the fish is fresh! There's no shops though, so it's best to have a car if staying here.
Molly D — Google review
The beach is quite rocky and buildings up from it suffered terrible sea damage last year which has resulted in the road running through the bottom of the village being closed off and pedestrianised which isn't a bad thing. The wonderful fish restaurant hopefully will be reopened once all damage has been repaired. It's a lovely place and well worth a visit.

Restaurant
Restaurante Adeyu is a charming beachside eatery located in Tarajalejo, perfect for those looking to enjoy a delightful meal with stunning views. With its covered terrace, diners can savor traditional Canarian tapas and fresh fish dishes while soaking in the picturesque surroundings. The atmosphere is lively, especially on busy Sunday afternoons when locals flock to this spot. Guests have consistently praised the friendly service and quick delivery of hot, flavorful food.
I looked at the reviews here after we'd visited several times, and I am amazed they're talking about the same place. The food was hot, tasty and delivered to the table fast even when they have been busy (Sunday afternoons seem to be the locals' favourite time out). Service was smiling and friendly, beers were cold (in frosted mugs), wines tasty and inexpensive. My limited Spanish was appreciated and they were patient with it (and they're fluent in English), and we were welcomed back like old friends on our second and subsequent visits. We stayed at the R2 and wanted a change of scenery, menu and drinks - am so glad we popped in here on a whim early in our trip. La Barraca next door is also awesome but their opening times don't overlap, so it was fantastic to have somewhere nice to sit and watch the waves and sunsets.
Kevin E — Google review
Food itself wasn't bad. Fish was fresh. Atmosphere... Large umbrella fall down almost on us... It's not quite safe to stay there on the terrace. Bill... We were charged for bread and sprite, which we didn't order... They asked me if we ate bread, I said yes, because you brought it to us, but we didn't order it. Sprite was just extra on our bill. They weren't very happy to reduce the bill, but they did. Don't think we are coming back. And also mix fish grill, was 35 euro on the menu, but they charged us 35.50 euros... It's not a big deal, but still... I would say avoid that, please.
Edgars B — Google review
The service is sooo bad. I had to wait more than one hour just for soup. I had to ask 3 times for the soup. (The same situation with the bill, it took 20 minutes to bring it.) This must have been the first day in this job for the waitress or she is totally incompetent. And the food is ok, but far from amazing or extraordinary. Try another restaurant.
Petr N — Google review
The food was not as ordered. The steaks were over cooked even though we asked implicitly in Spanish for the meat to remain pink in the centre, it was also seriously over salted which ruined the whole experience. My son had ordered the special sandwich as it said on the menu that it had bacon in it, but it turned out that there was no bacon inside just a weird slice of cheap ham. Not very impressed with the food. The location is lovely. The waitress very attentive. Price was far too expensive though for the food quality in my opinion.
Tina J — Google review

Restaurant on the beach, my boyfriend had the goat which he gave 4*, I ordered the fillet steak which I would give 3* as it wasn't fillet but was cooked to how I asked. The garlic bread was dry and basic, leaving a 3* rating overall.

Chirate Restaurante is a delightful culinary haven that captures the essence of homemade, local cuisine. Diners can expect comforting dishes reminiscent of grandma's cooking rather than high-end restaurant fare. While some elements like the fries may not impress, the overall experience shines with its focus on fresh, local ingredients and flavors. Guests rave about unique offerings such as cactus flower alioli and warm, freshly baked bread.
We came across the little gem on Christmas Day night and even though we hadn’t a booking they fitted us in! Service was so good - waiter even though he said his English wasn’t great he managed to help us navigate through the menu and was very helpful with my husband’s shellfish allergy! Myself and my daughter both had the lamb and my husband had the steak which he was able to cook myself on a grill. Food was exceptionally good - proper authentic Canarian style! Usually I don’t go for dessert as we are often disappointed but they too are homemade! Chocolate fondant was to die for - and my husband had the goats milk cheesecake and was also impressed! Definitely worth the trip to go there 😍

Best croquettes on the island. Food was delicious. We had croquettes, octopus in mojo rojo and chips, prawn bao buns and oxtail in filo pastry with sweet and sour sauce and chilli oil on the side. All delicious and can highly recommend. Service was excellent fun and engaging. Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. We'll be back
Liam C — Google review
Very tasty food overall. All dishes tasted homemade and local and very satisfying. Do not expect high end restaurant dishes. Expect a nice dinner like granny used to make. -1 star due to: - Fries where the most simple frozen fries and did not fit the rest of the dish. Either serve cooked potatoes or make your own fried fries. - the peppers could've been cooked better. Many places in fuerte serve exactly same peppers but cooked/fried better EDIT: Following the owners response I add 1 star back. Fair enough if everything is freshly prepped including the fries. In that case let's just say the fries served with goat were not my favorite. However, everything else was really delicious so I think its just a minor thing/preference.

After having a drink here on Friday night we decided we would book a table to eat on Saturday and I’m so glad we did. The staff are absolutely lovely, making us feel very welcome in broken English, we were also trying to converse in broken Spanish too. We had the croquette selection that was recommended by our waiter. Each piece melted in the mouth and has distinctly different flavours. For mains I ordered the Fish of the day and my husband the beef filet. Now my husband only likes his beef medium to well done……a crime I know but when the beef can put it was blue. Oh no I thought he’s not going to eat this but the next arrival at the table was a small gas burner with hot plate so he could cut the slices of steak to his liking, this was such a great touch and made the meal so enjoyable. Not usually dessert people we were going to leave it there but the goats milk cheesecake sounded too good not to try and wow it was so delicious I wish we hadn’t shared! Fantastic food and very attentive staff thank you for a great evening.

Cactus flower aliolo, freshly baked loaves - still warm. We visited twice imduring our short stay in the region. The black squid dish amazing! The goats cheese cheese cake - baked, glazed and 100%gooey !!! Totally unique and so so good. Great service too and a nice atmosphere ( esp 8.30 onwards on a Sat evening). Fantastico
