Mareis - Sea Fishing Discovery Center is a museum and aquarium dedicated to sea fishing and the lives of fishermen. Visitors can explore all aspects of fishing, from the departure of boats at the port to the sale of fish upon arrival. The center features a reconstructed quay where guides present information about the local fishing industry, including a mock-up of a trawler deck. There are touch tanks with local sea fish, and informative boards in English throughout.
Great, fascinating couple of hours learning about the fishing industry. My son loved being able to stroke some of the fish (we all did!). Lovely staff too, which helped make a nice visit. Recommended.

Really nice museum and aquarium. Friendly staff and lots of interesting exhibits. My six year old son took a shine to one of the big fish (maybe a wreckfish) in the aquarium who he nicknamed "Fatty".

Excellent exposition to learn about the ocean and the life of those who work on the Sea to bring us the fish we like. This is one of the most difficult work.

Plus, there's often a complimentary tequila shot to round off your meal!
Absolutely loved this place! Also the service was great and a very nice lady who helped us explain the dishes in english because our french isn’t the best. We all loved the food it was very good! If I’m in Étaples again I will definitely come back.

Sweet little and nice restaurant. We went there twice during our holidays. Nice atmosphere. We think its family owned and run by the family. They are very friendly and nice people. Food is very good and tasty and prices are also. It seems that its all made fresh, so it might take some time till you get your meal. I recommand the Entrecote. If you are lucky you'll get a "Tequila boom boom" on the house. Many thanks for the sweet puppet for our daughter. We'll keep you in good memory :) Greetings from Germany: Patrick, Conny and Emilia

Great Mexican food for a cheap price. The Mexican ambiance is really there with the music and Mexican items all around the restaurant. A free tequila shot is always given for free at the end of the meal as a digestive. The only problem is the chairs and tables that aren't that great.

Opalaventure Park offers an exciting adventure for the whole family, with activities like cycling through the trees, surfing, cargo nets, rope bridges, and zip wires across seven hectares. The park features trails suitable for different age groups and abilities, including baby trails, kids' trails with professional instructors, discovery trails, and adult trails. Visitors can enjoy watching climbers from below while picnicking at available tables. The park is known for its great value at 25 euros with free parking.
Great for all ages. Dad and 2 oldest went on the bigger tree top trails and our 2 youngest went on the parlours enfant ( age 5 and 7 years) I was their personal photographer

Great adventure playground for all age groups and abilities clambering around in trees. What’s really clever is you can follow the progress of the climbers from the ground below them - there’s a few tables for picnics and snacks available. 25 euros is great value - parking is free too. Cash required as no card machine. There are some challenges like a bicycle and a small tube to clamber through but these can be missed. The big zip lines are the favourite and well worth the effort if you dare!

Lots of fun for our kids aged 12 and 10. Staff speak excellent English and were always available to help. Courses are challenging (much more so than say Go Ape in UK), mum and dad gave up after the red course, but our two kids battled on around the black. They were helped out from the ground by the staff (and some other people on the course as well) to get around some of the tricky parts.

The Étaples Military Cemetery in France is the largest CWGC cemetery in the country. It is situated near Boulogne on the former grounds of a large military hospital complex used by the Allies during World War I. The breathtaking scenery showcases numerous regiments from various Commonwealth nations, all commemorated side by side. Additionally, there are sections dedicated to German and Chinese graves, along with a significant number of Commonwealth graves.
Such a well kept commonwealth cemetery, really makes you think about how many people died in the Great War

Wonderfully maintained and very beautiful cemetery. I always find it amazing how military cemeteries are normally located just off main roads but how peaceful and quiet they are. Parking on both sides of the road with pedestrian crossing. Wheelchair access. A definite must visit if in the area to make sure these people and their lives are never forgotten.
Tom D — Google review
Beautiful cemetery with wonderful flowers and a large entrance that is breathtaking. So many graves here it’s hard to imagine all of these young men and women fighting for freedom. There are places to park along the busy road which helps make it accessible to cars and large busses.

Etaples Military Cemetery is the largest CWGC cemetery in France. It is located near Boulogne on the former site of a large military hospital complex used by the Allies during the First World War. The view here it is stunning, so many different regiments from various commonwealth countries all honoured together. Included is a section of German graves, Chinese graves and a large amount of Commonwealth graves. I brought a group here and several of the students presented projects for soldiers and nurses that they researched. One of the few cemeteries that also has a commonwealth general buried at it

BRIT HOTEL LE TOUQUET - ETAPLES offers modest rooms in a relaxed setting with a bar, terrace, and restaurant. The hotel provides free parking and Wi-Fi. Guests appreciate the accommodating staff who are willing to go the extra mile to assist with directions and recommendations for local attractions. While some find the rooms small, they are well-furnished and comfortable. The on-site restaurant serves delicious food, although some guests note that it lacks a certain ambiance.
A great location and handy for the tunnel. Friendly welcome and service although everything closed at 9pm which was a shame. Rooms are small but very clean and have everything you need on a stopover.

Price/services ok. For this price you know you are staying at a budget hotel. My wife needs to have surgery so we asked a room on the ground floor and that was arranged. Breakfast is good, just missed bacon with eggs, but you can have a hard boiled egg. After all, it's just a matter of taste. But you'll have plenty of other things. We didn't dinner here. We assume it's the same place as the breakfast. If so, think of it that it will all be good food but you won't have 'cachet' (atmosphere). But it will be perfect for business people staying here. I assume it are new owners now who are willing to refurbish the hotel in time. Possibly we come back again if we decide to stay in Etaples again.

Nothing not to like here. Convenient, easy to find stop before the Tunnel with loads of free parking space. Reception staff friendly. Rooms, even though quite small are consistently comfortable and clean. Seated bar area with outdoor terrace if weather permits. Restaurant opens at 7.00pm which is handy if you've been on the road all day and has a decent menu.

My family and I stayed here for a few nights while we were visiting the area last summer. Beautiful spot-very close (within walking distance) to the Etaples Military Cemetery where we wanted to visit. The staff were excellent; friendly, willing to help us out with directions and how to get places, communication was easy! The rooms were always clean and comfortable. And the food was DELICIOUS! Would definitely recommend this cozy hotel to anyone!

We have done a fair ammount of european tracel this year and If hotels are rated by service alone this one would get 5 stars. Attentive staff happy to go that extra mile to help. The rooms are not big but better in furnishing than their larger chain rivals. The food was excellent and again service was first class. We will be back again and again. Thank you Hotel Kyriad

The service and welcome was fantastic. The rooms was small but perfectly formed. The restaurant delivered tasty food. For a last minute stop over we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you.

Find this hotel very helpful and friendly. Food in restaurant is good and plentiful. Good place to stay for Channel crossings as about 50 minutes from Calais. Close to supermarket and petrol station.

After my stay in the Myriad Angoulem, this is a disappointment. Room very small. Can't change TV to original language so I can't listen to English films. No BBC News channel. Very poor offering for what would cost nothing to provide.
