Giau Pass, standing at 2,236 meters high, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Dolomites peaks and is a popular spot for cyclists and hikers. The pass serves as a connection between Agordino and Ampezzo and is home to the historic Cesa de Jan, which houses the museum of Ladin culture.
I have done all the noticeable passes in short succession this summer, mostly on two wheels but also on bike towing cars. I have to say this is the prettiest pass and if you are here in a run trip, you MUST not miss it (easy to do with all the other amazing Passos around).

Visiting this on May 3rd. Still snow left in the area. A bit cloudy, but luckily got blue sky while hiking. Parking on the road side. This is a must for a quick stop when passing by.

The most beautiful pass in the Dolomites! So many amazing hikes for all levels! Even from the car, the views are breathtaking. Must visit!

Probably the most Scenic panaroma point we saw in the dolomites. It's quite a winding road to the top and there is free parking. The restaurant was closed at the top, so no toilets or coffee was possible

Cinque Torri is a stunning rock formation consisting of five towers that attract visitors for activities like hiking, climbing, and skiing. It is a popular tourist destination for both summer and winter holidays, offering quick access to various ski areas and resorts in the Dolomites. The area also boasts breathtaking mountain views and spas. Visitors can explore the region's historical significance, including bunkers from World War I.
50 euros for a gondola ride for two adults and one child in July (both ways). There’s a bar and a restaurant on top which serves great food. Not cheap but all well worth the money.
DaMiaN B — Google review
Five stars aren't enough to gratify this grandieuse natural show. The stone towers are easily accessible for almost everyone. There is a thrilling pathway winding through the stones offering a close experience.
Horia B — Google review
Visited in late September, foggy and rainy weather created moody views. Even with limited visibility, the rock formations looked impressive. The WWI trenches and open-air museum add interesting history to the hike.
Laima — Google review
The lift was closed, so I drove up to the parking lot near 5 Torri. The road is quite steep and narrow, and parking spaces are very limited. Some hikers walk all the way from the base, but unless you’re well-prepared, I’d strongly recommend taking the lift instead. It takes about 1–2 hours to explore the peaks and wartime bunkers, with both easy and more challenging trails available. This was my absolute favorite destination in the Dolomites — the scenery and atmosphere were truly unforgettable.
Kyoowan Y — Google review
Perfect place for a walk (even with children) 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒👍 You can take a cable car here and then enjoy trekking with beautiful views from the mountains. One trek is around Cinque Torri, so you can see the rocks from all sides Plus, there's a great restaurant at the top of the cable car 😉
Michal V — Google review
One of the most beautiful hikes from Dolomites. There was big queue for the chairlift so we took the hike trail that was going underneath the chairlift. It is not very difficult hike.
Vladut P — Google review
We went with a guide to hike the cinque torri. The trails themselves were not that bad in terms of elevation, they were clearly marked and wide. We saw a lot of people who were much older than us managing easily. There is a cable car up to the trails which made the hike easy. There is a great WW1 open air museum with plaques in italian and english and german. My wife and I looked at the wikipedia article "Winter War" about this conflict between the italians and austrians which did a great job explaining the whole war theater. Gorgeous views (pictured).

Very friendly and attentive staff. The wait is not long. They brought bread while we waited without even asking, but still charged for it. Apart from that, no other complaints. The food was good and satisfying. The price was reasonable as well.

Amazing view!! I had pizza with chip it was pretty good I would recommend to have some more pizza souse We also had pizza with cherry tomatoes and green mix it was delicious too The only thing that we orders the beef with rested potato but it comes with bacon we couldn’t eat it (the meet was good btw) I would recommend to tell the customer about it All of that was for 40$ Thank for the food and the friendly service🌺

It is a local place. The food was great, however, kind of exotic. I would recommend to go with more traditional options. They start serving only from 12, however feel free to enter before 12. Which is kind of weird. I would recommend this place, service was really nice and they do speak English

Situated on a picturesque mountain road, the journey to this eatery is an enjoyable experience whether undertaken during the day or at night. The route provides ample opportunity for revelry with one's companions both on the way there and back. The extensive wine list is impressive, catering to diverse tastes. Without a doubt, this was one of the most exceptional dining experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was an absolute delight—warm, welcoming, and truly a pleasure to interact with. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, with incredible attention to detail. The presentation was stunning, and the desserts were to die for!

A wonderful experience, everything was very good, the staff very friendly and cheerful. The food was delicious, an explosion of flavors. The plating was beautifully detailed. The desserts were delicious. The price of the meal was very good, just right. We gladly paid. We booked well in advance, and I think it was worth it. At the last minute, I don't think you'll be able to eat there.

I went to Da Aurelio’s in January and to this day I still think about the amazing experience I had. Starting with the environment, which was very cozy, and the view which was incredible. As for the staff, they were very friendly and welcoming, and I had the pleasure to meet the founder, Aurelio, and the owner, Gigi, who walked me through some insights about this spot. Regarding the food, I had the Vitela and the Tartar which were both tender and flavourful, a whole experience, taste wise. And for dessert I had the creme brûlée and terra, which had the perfect amount of sweetness to them. Overall a great experience, I’d go back anytime!!
Julia V — Google review
We stopped in here randomly, and it ended up being the best meal we had in the Dolomites. Prices are a little higher than some of the more casual spots in the area, but absolutely worth it—the presentation and flavors felt much more refined. We loved the use of local herbs and ingredients that made every dish stand out. The potato mousse and gnocchi were incredible, and the egg with truffle was a highlight. The red sauce pasta was also outstanding. Overall, a perfect balance of flavor and presentation—highly recommend!
Jaimie R — Google review
Simply wonderful. Da Aurelio gets it right at every level. A beautiful location with great staff and fantastic food. It was full of locals today celebrating a variety of events. Luigi and his team are absolutely charming and friendly. The gnochetti were delicious and the fillet steak stunning.
