Specialty Museums
The Vasa Museum in Stockholm is a must-visit attraction, housing the incredibly well-preserved Vasa ship, which tragically sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and was salvaged centuries later. This popular museum offers an immersive journey through Sweden's maritime history, showcasing the meticulously restored vessel and providing insights into its ill-fated expedition. It appeals to history enthusiasts, maritime history buffs, and families seeking educational experiences.
Visiting the Vasa Museum was, without question, one of the absolute highlights of our time in Stockholm. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the breathtaking sight of the nearly fully intact 17th-century warship that gives the museum its name. Photos honestly don’t do it justice — the size, craftsmanship, and sheer presence of the Vasa are overwhelming in the best way. It’s one of the most incredible old-world ships I’ve ever seen, both in scale and in the intricacy of the carvings and details that have been so remarkably preserved. What really adds to the experience is the storytelling. There’s an almost cinematic quality to learning that the ship — after all the effort and grandeur that went into building it — sank on its maiden voyage just minutes after setting sail. That “spoiler” moment doesn’t diminish the tour; if anything, it makes the rest of the exhibits even more compelling. The museum does a fantastic job of unpacking the engineering flaws, the historical context, and the recovery efforts in ways that keep both casual visitors and history buffs hooked. One of the best surprises was the basement level. Unlike the ornate upper floors, it has a more relaxed, less crowded feel, with fascinating displays about the preservation process and everyday life on the ship. If you visit Stockholm, this is a non-negotiable must-see. Plan to give yourself at least two hours to really take it all in.
Jarred F — Google review
The Vasa Museum is an incredible place to learn about the famous Vasa ship. Before exploring the exhibits, there is a video introduction available in multiple languages that explains the entire Vasa ship story. This is a must-watch—it really helps you understand the historical context and the fascinating circumstances around the ship’s construction and sinking. The museum itself is well-organized, and the displays provide plenty of insight into 17th-century naval life. A highly recommended visit for anyone interested in history or maritime stories!
Maruf H — Google review
Must see if you find yourself in Stockholm. Great showcase of the 300 year old Royal Vasa ship. Good for children and adults. I would say at least 2 hours, maybe more, to see it all. Very impressive. The details preserved under water is amazing.
Jonas P — Google review
Plan to spend at least two hours here. Preferably more. Unique, one of a kind experience. Especially for history lovers, like me. Tickets could be purchased at the entrance with minimal waiting time (1-5 minutes). They keep temperature low inside to preserve wooden structures of the ship. So, bring something warm with you to wear as an extra layer.
Ed B — Google review
A fascinating half day, with all the different multimedia and explanatory fixed displays to keep everyone happy. The story of the ship is almost as impressive as the ship and the ship is immensely impressive. Well worth a visit for the wreck alone, but with the history and the preservation and restoration work an absolute must for the Stockholm visitor
Richard H — Google review
The vasa museum is well worth the entrance fee , get here early it can get busy. The vasa was a ship that sunk on its maiden voyage and was pulled from the mud in the 1960s almost fully in tact. The 7 floors give a full insight into the ship, the background to its building, sinking and raising. It has about 7 floors and you can see the amazing ship from a multiple angles. There are lifts to all the floors, a great resturaunt and shop. If I could give this place a 100 stars it wouldn't be enough
Kevin M — Google review
If there is one museum you visit in Stockholm make it this one! There is so much to see, read and interact with for young and old - a 2+ hour visit will quickly fly by. An informative documentary runs every 20 mins in multiple languages which provides a good introduction to the Vasa Warship story. Guided tours provide even more information. Plenty to do for kids, with multiple levels to view the warship that are all accessible via elevators.
Andrew N — Google review
Enjoyed a great guided tour from Annika and then the film around the restoration after 1961. What a crazy ship built so high and narrow. Would recommend a visit. Needs around 1.5 to 2 hours to appreciate the ships beauty!

History Museums
The Nordic Museum, located in Stockholm, offers a captivating journey through the ethnographical and cultural history of Scandinavia over the past 500 years. Housed in an impressive 19th-century castle-like building, the museum showcases a diverse collection of artifacts including historical clothing, textiles, jewelry, furniture, household items, and tools. Visitors can explore exhibits on native traditions, home decor trends, fashion styles as well as festivals and events.
Wow— this museum was one of the best museums I’ve been to in such a long time! It was so informative and taught the visitors about Nordic history in a story telling fashion. I loved this museum so much. Nordic history was totally new to me, so I’m glad I made the trip! If you make it to Stockholm, make sure to add this to your list.
Michaela W — Google review
The Nordic Museum was a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit while in Stockholm. It offers a deep and well-curated look into Nordic life, traditions, and social evolution from the 1500s to modern times. The exhibitions cover a wide range of topics—everything from clothing and design to domestic life, customs, and societal roles throughout the centuries. One of the highlights was seeing how everyday life evolved over the centuries, including changing fashion trends, rural vs. urban lifestyles, and even how homes were furnished in different eras. The recreated 1940s flat and the children’s playhouse offered a unique glimpse into family life at that time. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the rather unwelcoming attitude of the front desk lady. For someone in such a central and public-facing position, a smile and a friendly greeting go a long way—especially in a museum that attracts visitors from around the world. It set a poor tone at the beginning of the visit, which is unfortunate given how strong the rest of the experience was. Overall, I highly recommend the Nordic Museum to anyone interested in understanding Sweden’s rich cultural and historical landscape. It’s informative, immersive, and a great way to spend a few hours in Stockholm.
Eldien M — Google review
The museum is very well maintained and offers several different sections inside. Both the interior and exterior are stunning, perfectly reflecting Nordic style and atmosphere. Some exhibitions were truly engaging and strongly connected to Nordic traditions. However, I didn’t really understand the choice of including the ‘Britain’ exhibition, which felt a bit out of place.
Matilde F — Google review
Visiting the Nordiska Museet in Stockholm was an unforgettable experience. The building itself is a masterpiece – a grand, castle-like structure surrounded by beautiful greenery that immediately sets the tone for what’s inside. The museum offers a fascinating journey through Nordic culture, traditions, and everyday life, with exhibitions that are both informative and beautifully curated. What I loved most was how well the museum combines history with storytelling – it feels immersive and engaging rather than just informational. From traditional clothing and design to folk art and seasonal celebrations, every display reflects the rich heritage of the Nordic people. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the location on Djurgården makes it perfect for combining a museum visit with a relaxing walk through the park. Staff were welcoming, and everything was well organized, making it easy to navigate. If you’re in Stockholm and want to understand the heart of Nordic culture while also enjoying one of the city’s most impressive buildings, this museum is a must-visit.
Kalina M — Google review
Visiting this Nordic museum is a delightful experience, offering the opportunity to learn about various aspects of the Nordics. With four floors to explore, it promises a comprehensive journey. While the admission fee may be a bit steep, it is certainly worthwhile for those eager to delve into Nordic culture and history.

Really cool museum that gives an overall, high-level introduction to Scandinavia through the ages and different seasons. You learn a lot about people and the countries, while also seeing objects from the different time periods. The audio guide was cool & the app easy to install, so bring headphones. There were also multimedia displays to understand and learn more. The additional exhibits were cool, especially the one on exploring the arctic. There is a large souvenir stores with high-quality, locally-made products. The restaurant is great as well, you can have a variety of snacks and also a complete dish. We found a couple of vegan options as well.
Jennifer C — Google review
Beautiful museum with a lot of history well presented to the guests. A multitude of objects with a nice description. It is like to go through the history. A nice time traveling... I would recommend this museum to all the tourists. A learning experience. It is really worth a visit.

Visiting the Nordic Museum was an absolute highlight of my trip to Stockholm. The building itself is a masterpiece—majestic, beautifully designed, and already impressive before you even step inside. Once inside, the exhibitions are curated with so much care and detail, covering everything from Swedish traditions, fashion, and design to daily life through the centuries. What I loved most was how immersive the experience felt—you don’t just look at objects; you get a vivid sense of how people lived, worked, and celebrated throughout Nordic history. The displays are engaging, informative, and visually stunning, making it enjoyable for both adults and children. The atmosphere is welcoming and calm, with plenty of space to explore at your own pace. The staff were friendly and helpful, clearly passionate about sharing Sweden’s cultural heritage. There’s also a lovely café with traditional fika options and a well-curated museum shop perfect for unique souvenirs. Overall, the Nordic Museum is not just a museum, it’s a journey through time and culture. I left with a deeper appreciation for Nordic traditions and a genuine sense of inspiration. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Stockholm—whether you’re interested in history, design, or simply want a beautiful and enriching experience.

The Royal Palace, also known as Kungliga Slottet, is a magnificent Baroque-style palace in Stockholm, Sweden. It serves as the official residence of the Swedish monarch and houses over 600 rooms along with three museums and a vast library. Visitors can opt for an admission fee that includes a guided tour to explore the grandeur of this symbol of Sweden's monarchy. The palace offers a glimpse into history and culture through its opulent Royal Apartments, Treasury, and Royal Chapel.
The Royal Palace is an absolute must-see in Stockholm. The state rooms are jaw-dropping — every ceiling, wall, and piece of furniture is so ornate and over the top, it’s like walking through a living piece of history. But the real surprise is the basement. It has a completely different vibe — less formal, more immersive — and might actually be the most interesting part of the entire tour. You get a closer look at artifacts, the palace’s foundation, and stories that feel more personal than grand. If you have limited time, don’t skip the lower levels. It’s the perfect contrast to the splendor upstairs and gives a fuller picture of the palace’s history.
Jarred F — Google review
I took a guided tour and it was very good! The history and original decor was beautiful! There is no natural light in many rooms as to protect the artwork, so it was a little difficult to get quality photos and see some of the fine detail. The tour was not too long, but the chapel in a separate section of the main entrance was amazing and free to enter!
Jake W — Google review
We didn’t have time to buy tickets for entry, but there is a small gift shop that you can visit without entering the palace. The items there make for lovely souvenirs, and the prices are very reasonable. The quality of the products is quite good, making it a worthwhile stop even if you can’t go inside the palace itself
Maruf H — Google review
If you’re somewhat interested in the royals or want to spend money, go for it. Otherwise I don’t believe it’s totally worth it. It’s just lots of mirrors and some artwork. Building was beautiful tho and staff seemed nice enough.
R V — Google review
Pretty expensive... But definitely worth the money if you enjoy history. We missed the noon guard change too so somehow try to make it, as it's something that will enhance the experience. It's interesting to visit the museum and be sure to occasionally look up at the ceiling for some beautiful designs. The palace was also pretty good and child-friendly :) gamla stan itself is a good place, tbh
Shrinidhi G — Google review
Very nice to visit. You can see how the Swedish Royal would look like inside. Most of the area is blocked but there are enough for you to go and see. We didn't even have time/energy to visit the armory after 1 hours. Unless you want a guided tour or it is a special holiday the queue, there is no need to buy the ticket as there was no queue for us. Keep the ticket if you want to use the WC. The WC is outside in the into building and it need you to scan the ticket (or pay a few dollar). Stroller parking is a bit far away. The palace does not allow baby stroller inside and since there are a lot of walking and stairs, i would not recommend go there with a baby.
Chi P — Google review
A must-visit in Stockholm! 🇸🇪 The Royal Palace is stunning—both in its architecture and historical richness. The guided tours are informative and give a deep insight into Sweden’s royal heritage. Don’t miss the Changing of the Guard ceremony—it’s a highlight! The treasury and royal apartments are beautifully preserved. Worth every minute, especially if you’re into history and culture.

Nice to see the actual items and rooms that the Royal Family have used. The guard changing ceremony was also very nice. It was about 40 minutes long with a lot of live band music from the marching band. Overall great experience at the royal palace

Cafe
Chokladkoppen is a popular spot located in the heart of Gamla stan, right by Stortorget. Locals love to visit this cafe to savor large bowls of hot chocolate while sitting in wicker chairs and watching people go about their day on the square. Next door, there's the Dungeon cafe, also known as Kaffekoppen, with its metal spiral staircases leading down to candlelit cellars adorned with old wooden furnishings and brass chandeliers.
Delightful little place to rest and have a bite in the middle of a busy day of sightseeing. The soup of the day was fabulous. The the bread, delicious.
Sunshine A — Google review
My family and I came here and got seated outside. There is a decent amount of seating but the tables are so close to each other that you really can’t move. Our server was also expressionless and didn’t smile a single time… Got the hot chocolate and it was very good! It was nice and creamy and looked very visually appetizing. However, it’s not that sweet so be aware of that when you order this!
Azelle K — Google review
Compact with outside seating, but tables were quite close together. Staff we lovely and friendly and our first try of the cinnamon bun was delicious and certainly enough to share. Coffee was good quality and perfect location for watching the world go by. Give it a visit

I had fika here when i lived in Stockholm around 2018. This is one of iconic place to visit when you go to Stockholm. I bought kannelbullar (cinnamon roll) and prince tartta (one of traditional cake from Sweden) and drank hot chocolate. Overall we pay for best quality foods and drinks here. I personally happy had fika here or just relaxing alone. Please try!

Restaurant
Coco & Carmen, the sophisticated sibling of Punk Royale, invites diners into a world where elegance meets playfulness. This restaurant is celebrated for its inventive and delectable menu that features luxurious ingredients like caviar. Guests can enjoy a delightful set lunch or an evening dining experience that promises both flavor and fun. The ambiance strikes a balance between refined decor—think white tablecloths and flickering candles—and subtle punk influences, creating an inviting yet classy atmosphere.
Coco & Carmen is a fantastic spot for a cozy lunch, especially if you’re vegetarian. The set menu was absolutely delightful, with flavors that truly impressed. The cozy ambiance made it an ideal setting for a romantic date. I also tried a berry-based non-alcoholic wine that was simply delicious and paired beautifully with the meal. Highly recommend for a special, intimate dining experience!

Easter lunch, table with cute decorations, efficient services, interesting food plating, raw and neat. Been to Punk royal few years ago, i can see some DNA from it. Coco takes the Interesting concept with a relatively friendly price. If you not pairing food with wine.
J L — Google review
We experienced a good service but felt something was off before we started the desserts, finished the meal very fast and sped home for the restroom. We suspect the raw beef or berry drinks they brewed in-house. First time being like this after this level fine dining
Sensearle — Google review
This place was a comedy of errors. I notified restaurant staff I was pregnant and not eating raw food, yet somehow “cured salmon” and “fish roe” didn’t set off any alarms in the kitchen. It took three tries before I finally got a plate that wasn’t trying to sabotage me. Service was equally chaotic—servers flinging down plates like they were auditioning for a frisbee team and whisking dishes away before we’d even put our forks down. The dining room was basically a sauna with candles, which might be romantic if you enjoy sweating through dinner. And the food… Salt is not a personality. The bread and butter were the stars of the meal—which says everything, because I can nail that combo at home every single day.
Deb O — Google review
One of the best experiences I ever had, Michelin star level with a hipster-fun vibe. We went for dinner and the menu was around 11 small dishes, the wine choice by the sumiller was excellent. We have lots of fun and definitely recommend it.

Fusion restaurant
Tak is a chic restaurant in Stockholm that offers a fusion of Swedish and Japanese cuisine. It's a popular spot for young professionals to celebrate successes while enjoying Asian-influenced Nordic dishes and drinks. The menu features items like fresh oysters with cucumber and ponzu, miso-glazed lamb, and a flavorful tomato salad with tofu, mint, ponzu, shiso, and bonito.
Holy smokes this place was a vibe. Must visit for anyone in Stockholm. A brilliant head chef crafts beautiful meals with a Japanese Swedish fusion. I came from Japan a month ago and this food rivaled anything I had over there. The views were incredible as well. Highly recommend.

Amazing service and friendly staff. The food was incredible and we enjoyed every dish. Came for a friends birthday and it was 100% the right choice. Lovely atmosphere and decor - the restaurant and bath are stylish and sleek in look, gives a really nice vibe. Would come here again. We ate a full 3 course meal and had 2 drinks each and were impressed with the price. Went upstairs and had a few more drinks after also. Loved it!!

Great service and amazing food, I usually stayed at Hobo and always had breakfast here which was amazing (with great vegan options including tofu!). This time around though, tried the lunch time for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. The tofu starter and then the tofu bowl were both great portions but also so tasty - 100% recommend.

TAK is an unforgettable dining experience in Stockholm! The food was absolutely delicious creative dishes with amazing flavors and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is modern and stylish with incredible views over the city. The staff were warm, professional, and made us feel very welcome throughout the evening. Highly recommend this place if you want a perfect mix of fine dining and a cozy, vibrant vibe. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Stockholm!”

The food overall was pretty good, also like their fussion concept, but the sirloin even though cooked medium rare, tasted a bit burned and at some parts was a bit chewy. I would also recommend ordering 2x of each snack. For desert I had the cinnamon bun with amaretto ice cream was really good but it was a special thing since today was the cinnamon day.

Fantastic dinner, excellent service (ask for Bianca), amazing view of sunset over Stockholm. Food was creative and delicious. They were out of the duck, so we had the cod and the pork belly. I can’t recommend more highly.

Good food. Fusion between Swedish and Japanese. But Japanese dominates. Views are awesome - it’s on the top floor of a building. Place is crowded for lunch so make a booking in advance. Centrally located. Loved their chicken donburi
Anvay B — Google review
From drinks overlooking the city to a delicious dinner, we enjoyed every moment of our time at TAK. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was top notch. For two people, we shared a started (Tofu Atsuage, which was phenomenal), and several sides (potato tempura fries - delicious but portion should have been larger; and cabbage - just delicious!) and each had the Swedish sirloin, which was just perfect. The desserts were a bit underwhelming, and the only part of the meal that didn't knock our socks off. We'd highly recommend an evening at Tak, and will be back in the future!

Skansen is a renowned open-air living history museum in Sweden, featuring over 150 historic buildings from across the country and a replica of a 19th-century Swedish town. Visitors can interact with craftspeople dressed in period costumes as they demonstrate traditional trades such as glass-blowing and cobbling. The picturesque gardens and small zoo offer opportunities to see Nordic animals like otters, brown bears, and moose.
The Skansen Open-Air Museum in Stockholm is an absolute highlight and one of the most unique attractions in the city. It beautifully combines history, culture, and nature in one place, offering visitors a chance to step back in time and experience Swedish traditions in an authentic way. Walking through Skansen feels like traveling across Sweden’s past. The historic houses and farmsteads, each carefully relocated and restored, bring to life different regions and eras of the country. Costumed guides demonstrate traditional crafts, baking, and daily activities, making the experience both educational and entertaining. A special highlight is the zoo within Skansen, which focuses on Nordic animals. Seeing moose, bears, lynxes, reindeer, and even wolverines up close is unforgettable, especially for visitors who may not encounter these animals elsewhere. For families with children, the children’s zoo is a joy, offering a chance to meet farm animals and enjoy interactive activities. The location itself is stunning, with panoramic views over Stockholm and its waterways. Whether you’re interested in history, culture, wildlife, or simply a relaxing day outdoors, Skansen has something for everyone. In short, Skansen is more than a museum — it’s a living, breathing piece of Sweden. A perfect blend of cultural heritage and natural beauty, and a must-see for anyone visiting Stockholm.

This ws my first open air museum experience. I loved it. There were even people role playing from the era they belonged. The historical walk was an amazing experience. Although all the places wete not open, I could still get to experience few of the attractions. I personally was amazed by the glass making workshop. The zoo on the other side was also a fun experience. The ticket also included access to the match museum. It was worth the money and time. I ended up spending 3+ hours, yet I could not go to all the spots. Children's would love this place no doubt. During summer, this is the best place to come along with family. Beautiful, huge open air museum for young and old! We enjoyed the old buildings that have been transplanted here to show Sweden’s history. Lots of live animals there as well with great exhibits. Highly recommend! You can buy tickets online-even at the gate buy online bc it’s cheaper and there is wifi.

We had a great time at Skansen. The old houses and farm buildings were fascinating to walk through – each one comes from a different part of Sweden, so you really get a feel for how people lived in the past. Seeing the Nordic animals was another highlight for us; lynx, wolverines, bears, and moose all in one place is pretty special. We visited as two adults, but it’s easy to see how much fun this would be for my kids too, with the animals, open-air history, and hands-on activities. There are also cafés and nice spots to take a break, so you can easily spend most of the day here. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Stockholm.

It was one of the best places I have ever been to. We booked the “Morning with animals” experience and it was one of the most interesting things I’ve ever done. The tour guide (shoutout to Martin) was absolutely dedicated to being as helpful as possible and explained everything in perfect English. As for the park, we got to see a lot of local animals and it was magical. The buildings are also stunning and incredibly beautiful, making you feel like you’re in a fairy tale. Would visit every weekend if it were possible.

This is a really cool place. The amount of things to look at are crazy. You are probably better off spending a few days there so you can see it all. They have special talks in English and swedish about the animals they have there. The talks are on different days so you should look in advance to see what they are talking about that day and in which language. Some of the things to see there are really old and well preserved. The animals are really well taken care of. Also they have a grilling area you can bring your own food and grill there.
Mike G — Google review
Who knew there were so much to do and see. They had so much land to walk and explore the building. A lot of animals with a smaller aquarium. You could easily spend a full day exploring. Not to mention the view of the city.
Kelli D — Google review
Skansen is like a mix of an open-air museum, zoo, and park — and it’s beautiful. You can wander through old Swedish houses and farms, see Nordic animals like moose and bears, and grab fika with a great view of Stockholm. It’s super family-friendly but also relaxing for adults. Go on a sunny day and take your time there’s so much to see. Definitely one of the must-visit spots in Stockholm!

Specialty Museums
ABBA The Museum in Stockholm is a must-visit for fans of the iconic Swedish pop group. It offers an immersive experience with a collection of memorabilia, interactive exhibits, and behind-the-scenes insights into ABBA's rise to fame. Visitors can explore a studio, dance floor, and enjoy engaging displays. The museum appeals to music enthusiasts, pop culture fans, and those nostalgic for the band's music. Families and children can also enjoy the interactive activities on offer.
A must for any Abba fan. 🌟 Staff very helpful and clearly enjoy working there. It's very accessible for mobility impaired, and has access to all areas of the museum. So much to see and take in but it's fabulous. Highly recommend booking in advance.

Visiting ABBA The Museum was an unforgettable experience! Even if you’re not the biggest fan of the band, the museum’s interactive exhibits make it fun and engaging for everyone. I loved stepping into recreated stage outfits, recording my own ABBA song, and seeing original memorabilia up close. The atmosphere is energetic and joyful, and the staff are welcoming. It feels less like a traditional museum and more like stepping into the world of ABBA. Definitely a must-see if you’re in Stockholm!
Kalina M — Google review
Love this museum and learned a lot. I didn't really know much about them like how they were married to each other and stuff. It was fun and seeing the costumes was great. I have lots of photos and fun memories. It was def busy since I think it was the weekend so lots of tourist.

One of the BEST museums I’ve ever been to! It could be because I am an ABBA fan and so is my family, but another big reason is that the museum has so many FUN INTERACTIVE elements that there’s no way you ain’t gonna enjoy once you enter. From dancing, singing, designing your own costume, to playing the musical chess, I think this museum is just one of its kind and a MUST MUST MUST visit when in Stockholm!
Hardeep D — Google review
So much fun!!! Small tip do not get there super early. If your ticket is for 11am they will not let you in the line until 10:50. The exhibits were iconic. Seeing up close all things ABBA. It was a very delightful experience. There is a place to eat at the museum and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend visiting!
Lisa T — Google review
Good museum to visit, even if you're not a fan. You may end up being one! Very interactive, and the stories told by the band members really give an insightful point of view as seen from their end, a side the public and the fans rarely see.
Rui A — Google review
Awesome experience with an audioguide (using your own smartphone, bring earphones) to tell the story of how the band formed, their inspiration, composition process, and more. There was also a fun, interactive part to sing with the songs from ABBA in a mini studio, a show to perform side by side with them, and a nice bar and restaurant in the entrance. I’d like to have seen more options to purchase in the shop.

A wonderful museum about the story of ABBA; before, during & after the band formed Outfits, stories, Voyage, karoke, wall of records, a joy to see Tram & the hop on/hop off bus gets you directly outside the museum A cafe, theme park, ferry & the park (which has a zoo) is nearby

Plaza
Sergels torg is a vibrant public square nestled in the heart of Stockholm, easily accessible from T-Centralen underground station. This bustling hub features a unique sunken pedestrian plaza adorned with an eye-catching grey and white triangular design. As you step into this lively area, you'll find yourself surrounded by tourists exploring the nearby shops along Drottninggatan, often referred to as Queen Street, where popular retailers like H&M line the streets.
Always bustling with life and worth a visit in Stockholm both during the day and during the night. During most nights the Vertical sculpture is lit up in vibrant colours. The place is also centrally located with access to both the train and metro lines as well as the Tram connecting to places like Viking museum.

It was an amazing experience to be at the heart of stockholm and enjoy great moments with young people. The place is neat and though the food was expensive I enjoyed it... Bravo to the rich swedish culture and it's people

One of Stockholm’s most recognizable public squares, right in the heart of the city. It’s a lively, modern space surrounded by shops, offices, and cultural venues. The large fountain and glass obelisk in the center are eye catching, especially when lit up at night. While not the most charming spot compared to Stockholm’s historic areas, it’s still a central hub with lots of energy and people passing through.

Hotel At Six

Hotel
Hotel At Six is a trendy and upscale establishment located in Stockholm's Brunkebergstorg square. The hotel boasts contemporary rooms and suites with a clean urban aesthetic, featuring oak-clad bay windows, marble desks, and luxurious Swedish designed beds. Guests can enjoy two bars, including the Blanche & Hierta bar for aperitifs, an excellent Dining Room offering imaginative riffs on rustic Swedish flavors, and a 24/7 gym.
I had a wonderful birthday stay at this hotel! They even put birthday chocolates in my room for me! Fabulous location and walkable to everything! The gym was really nice with lots of equipment. My room had a beautiful view and was very clean! The staff was so helpful! Would totally stay here again!
Yvie S — Google review
Overall, a nice stay for 3 nights. A few complaints - the room design is nice and modern, but SO dark even with the curtains open and lights on. I could barely see in my suitcase and no natural light made it into the bathroom. My mini bar also didn’t have a working fridge, so I had to travel VERY far every time I wanted a cold drink to get ice. It’s only on a few floors and my room was as far from the elevators as you could get. Like other hotels I stayed in on my trip, there were not free water taps around either. The room was relatively quiet which was nice. The bed was really hard and not great for side sleepers. The front desk staff were very helpful and nice, but pushed certain restaurants hard (I assume there is a partnership) and the restaurant I tried at their recommendation was quite mediocre. The rooftop is nice and I enjoyed the lobby bar for lunch (the potato ravioli was fabulous) and a few glasses of wine here and there. The breakfast was amazing, everything was delicious and a huge spread. The location is perfect, very walkable. Overall, I’m not sure I’d stay again but I did have a mostly pleasant experience!
Melissa D — Google review
Hotel at Six certainly has its highlights, but overall I felt that for the price, it’s about a 3.5 out of 5 experience. The highlights: - Service / reception: every staff member we encountered was gracious, warm and kind. - Hotel gym: although modest in size, it was well equipped, clean and even when busy, did not feel crowded. - Room size: we were in a suite which was a bit more spacious, particularly the bathroom which was well designed. Not-as-impressive: - The suite had poor temperature regulation, we were unable to adjust anything the whole time. - the bed was a bit too firm and it was also difficult to sleep due to the bedding being overly warm. - breakfast, while well maintained, was a bit boring as it never changed during our week-long stay. It would be nice if they added variety to the hot dishes on different days. - room service prices are steep: the portions of food were not worth the cost. Food was also over-salted. - the view is just over a business park area, very bland. Overall I would say there’s nothing wrong but nothing amazing about the hotel. It’s also a bit more expensive than it should be, but given the good location I understand why it’s priced this way.
Victoria L — Google review
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the hotel. It was a wonderful introduction to my time in Scandinavia. The location is fabulous, with everything in the city within an easy walking distance. The addition benefit of being so close to the galleria makes getting any a knickbacks you may have forgotten at home a breeze.
Ed S — Google review
The service at the hotel during check-in was excellent and courteous, the breakfast was good, and the hotel’s location is perfect. The room is beautiful, but the bathroom isn’t properly maintained — the water leaks from the very small shower (not at a 5-star level, or even 4), and some of the room’s facilities, such as the refrigerator, don’t work properly. next time ill consider a newer hotel.
Shai V — Google review
We stayed in Stockholm for 4 nights at this hotel. The location is great as we were able to walk back and forth to the train station as well as the water and the other main areas. The hotel is done in a very tasteful way. It has a great bar area and the breakfast is very good as well. When we went to our room, I noticed the hallways were very dimly lit on top of which the walls are painted a dark grey! It was very strange given that the city doesn't get that much light to begin with so one would think, they would have everything light and airy. Our room was very nice but the only issue was that we were not able to control the thermostat. It was quite warm even though we had the temp at 16 degrees! That was a big complaint I had. Also the shower area was extremely small. I couldn't dry myself properly in the shower. Otherwise, it was a good place.

Vegan restaurant
Hermans is a renowned vegetarian restaurant and cafe located on the island of Sodermalm in Stockholm. It offers a diverse range of flavors from around the world and has been a staple in the city's vegan food scene since the early 90s. The restaurant prides itself on using organic ingredients, recycling all waste materials, and serving an all-day vegan buffet throughout the week.
This is a (visually) hidden gem. It has a spectacular view and an impressively tasteful array of options. I visited around 4 with a humble amount of people but once it hit about 6 the place got slammed with huge groups coming for dinner. Definitely recommend for singles, couples, families, and friends!
Dominique A — Google review
First, the restaurant view is crazy. It was perfect, from the beautiful view of the city to the incredibly delicious food. The food was delicious, especially the vegetarian dishes, which were all handmade. The eggplant lasagna is my favorite! A must-visit for vegetarians!
H.H K — Google review
Amazing food (ALL VEGAN! 🙌🏼), amazing vibe, abundant options. It’s not cheap (cost ~$85 CDN for two people, without dessert), but you can try everything and eat as much as you want. Coffee and tea are included, but dessert costs extra. (Good luck having room for dessert, but if you do, it’s just as delicious as everything else!).
Kiara — Google review
Amazing deal, all you can eat delicious vegan food with free tea, coffee, or water, and an incredible view of the city. Staff were incredibly friends and personable, had a great time. Went out on a limb and bought the walnut parsnip cake for dessert, got some free vanilla cream on the side. Transcendant.
Daniel G — Google review
This is a fantastic spot for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, the food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet, so you’ll find a wide variety of greens, salads, and hearty vegetarian dishes that are more than enough to fill you up. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and that might be the best part because you get an amazing view of Gamla Stan and Djurgården while you eat. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy your meal and company with a scenic backdrop. If you’re a student, be sure to bring your student ID for a significant discount.
Rylan G — Google review
The food was actually much better than I remembered from a few years ago, and of course the view was fabulous as ever. The vegan buffet offered a big variety of foods, from cold to warm, stew to grill. As a buffet, the quality was definitely worth the price. All the pickles and sauces tasted homemade. The lasagna was creamy but not heavy, the coconut curry was flavorful, the salads were fresh. My favorite was the grilled tofu, the marination got properly into the tofu, and offered the slightly burnt aroma from the grill.
Liu M — Google review
Very often i visit Hermans when friends are visiting and everyone is amazed by the view and the quality of the food. This is a vegan, buffet style restaurant with grill during the summer. One can feel the quality of the ingredients and everything i've tasted till now is delicious. The outside area is like a garden, offering a spectacular view to Djurgården and Gamla Stan. They are brewing their own beer which is pretty good. They are not serving though alcohol above 3,5%, so one can't enjoy a glass of wine in the sun. It can get quite busy after 18pm with a queue in the counter and buffet. A bit expensive in the summer cause of the grill, i would prefer if they had a less expensive option without the. grill but the food is worth the price. Highly Recommended, i am going to visit again despite not being vegan!

Sushi restaurant
Restaurant
Sushi Sho is a charming and intimate restaurant in Stockholm that offers an authentic omakase experience, showcasing the artistry of Japanese cuisine. The daily-changing menu features locally sourced seafood crafted into exquisite sushi creations. Diners are treated to a simultaneous omakase-style dining experience, allowing them to savor standout dishes like the signature soy-cured egg and the optional luxurious tuna belly add-on.
I went for a meal with my partner and it was the best meal I have ever had. It is worth saying, I am not really the Michelin restaurant person, I have not eaten at lots of fancy restaurants, in fact this meal was the first time I ate Octopus so if you want the opinion of a fine dining fiend than that is not mine. But my two cents was that the food was absolutely excellent, their signature soy egg was the best thing I have ever had and getting to try fresh wasabi was a real treat. I found the staff to be helpful, to give good descriptions of the food and were ready to answer any questions. The simple thing is that this is a meal I will remember for a long time, which for me makes it worth every penny and even then with all the food and drinks we had, I thought it was worth what we paid and more!

Had a great evening. Food was slightly underwhelming for this price tag. Was expecting higher level. Very good vibe though! Went there just before they got a Michelin star.
Cobbi F — Google review
Honestly one the of best Japanese sushi experiences I have had in the northern hemisphere. The food and experience was done incredibly well and everything was to the highest quality of standards. Each dish was prepared beautifully and came with explanations about the sourcing of the ingredients, the style of dish, and the recommended way of consuming it. I saw another review mention that these types of explanations would not be given if you only spoke English; but that could not be farther from the truth - my party and I had delightful conversations and explanations given to us in perfect English, French and Japanese. That being said, the staff are also extremely knowledgeable about not only the courses they are serving but also the production, palettes, and sourcing of the ingredients and alcohols they serve/use and were happy to appeal to both our appetites and curiosity. Again the food was impeccable and I would also recommend the Sake pairings alongside the menu as they have been chosen extremely well and complement multiple courses. Just a side note to westerners who come from cultures where a sweet course is typical after a meal - this restaurant is authentically Japanese and desserts after meals are not a common experience as Japan has more set times such as tea for sweet desserts so don’t be dissatisfied when they’re are no desserts.

It was an incredible experience and well-worth the visit! Some items were absolutely stunning and others were most likely an acquired taste

Omakase with fresh seafood. Ingredients are mostly from Scandinavian countries. But it’s a pity that the good ingredients are made in very limits ways. It’s a quite important thing for omakase, because omakase is like a show, brining the guests a feast not only in the mouth, but also eyes and nose. Sake pairing is nice, you can tell the difference for different type of sake.
Amanda L — Google review
I love the food, but compared to other sushi fine dining places in Europe, this is the only place I was still hungry after omakase has been all served and I ordered and ate the extra food.
TONG L — Google review
Amazing food and a great experience. The chefs prepare all your food infront of you. Everything was so good. Perhaps a little pinch of salt on the first dish would have made i even better. I loved the Turbot, amazing, and so surprising. Also the tomato dish was very good. A great ending on our trip to Sweden. Now back to 🇦🇺
Niklas H — Google review
Food here was so so and no variety of seafood. They serve salmon, tuna and common fishes. The sushi we got came scorching hot which was a shock because sushi should be served at body temp. When they asked for feedback I said the truth, instead of being professional, they decided to question if I've been to Japan which I thought was rude and unprofessional. Please don't ask for feedback if you're not ready for it. I don't think I'll come back again because the price and food quality do not justify.

Gröna Lund is a seasonal amusement park in Sweden, offering a variety of roller coasters, thrill rides, and competitive games. It also hosts live concerts for entertainment. Located on Djurgården island, it is part of a larger area that includes the Vasa Museum and Skansen open-air living history museum.
A beautiful amusement park that’s definitely worth spending a full day at. There’s a wide range of rides and attractions, making it a fun destination for families. However, the options for children under 4 years old are quite limited, so keep that in mind if you’re visiting with toddlers. Overall, it’s a great experience with lively energy, scenic views, and a variety of entertainment for all ages.

Came in September and was amazing! Spent the whole day here and deffo worth it! Some really intense and fun rides! Loved the wooden coaster, Ikarus and Monster! If ever visit Sweden again come here! Love that its in the heart of the capital too and saw a concert! Live that some of the rides have videos! 💜

We had a good experience with kids in this wonderland and joining a little concert fortunately. We started in afternoon so i feel like the tickets price was a bit unworthy. Strongly recommend you buy the pass if you can visit early! In general, it’s still nice, well organised and maintained, and also it’s suitable for kids!

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon, most rides had a 20-30 minute wait to ride. Nice variety of rides, with plenty of different types of roller-coasters. We liked that it wasn't as commercialized as American parks.

A really fun amusement park, family friendly and very enjoyable. Book tickets in advance, this will help to avoid seasonal times. You also need 4+ hours to have lots of fun as the queue for rides can be quite long. Good for all ages

Gröna Lund is a charming theme park in the middle of Stockholm. It's easily accessible with public transport as there is a tram station right next to it, but you can also just walk here from the Train Station. There is definitely a fine ride lineup, with two pretty strong coasters in Monster and Twister. The park really delivers in the flat ride department though, especially with 3 very different drop towers. Those and the Star Flyer will give you an amazing view of the City. One thing I have to address unfortunately is the state of the park and the operations on the day of our visit. There are two rides here that are SBNO and will very likely never operate again. The Reverchon Superbob "Rock Jet" and the Schwarzkopf Steel Coaster "Jetline". They haven't been operating for a while and should really be removed. Especially Jetline is so well visible from eveywhere in the Park, and it really makes you want to ride it. The operations on the attractions that were open were fine, but Bläckfisken was closed for the first half of the day. I was told it wouldn't open at all during the day but the park luckily managed to get it running later in the day. Insane was closed until the afternoon, and was then operating for about 10 Minutes. After that everyone that was queueing was told to leave the line and it never reopened that day. I have to give a special shoutout to the crew of Twister on the evening of 16/08/2025. They were hyping the riders up quite a lot and let us ride multiple times in a row, giving us an experience reminiscent of ERT. Those last few rides were a lot of fun, thank you!
Gerhard — Google review
The attractions in this park have the best view of any park I've ever been, if you're not afraid of heights! It was a great experience for our trip, specially since is basically in the middle of the city. The rides are fun and there's plenty to do for an relatively small amusement park. Food and treats prices are quite fair, which isn't usually the case for parks.

The rides are great as always and overall Gröna Lund has a really well thought out design and decoration for Halloween with extra haunted houses and events throughout the day. Was definitely worth the wait to celebrate Halloween here.

Junibacken is a delightful park dedicated to the world of young children's literature, particularly focusing on the works of renowned Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. While Pippi Longstocking takes center stage, visitors will also encounter other beloved characters from children's books. The museum offers an interactive experience, featuring a theater, a playhouse, and the highlight attraction - the Story Train that takes kids on an enchanting journey through Lindgren's imaginative world.
Parents of young children, this must-visit destination is a magical and fun-filled place with play activities, a sensory room, and a musical theater. The story train is a must-see, but you might want to skip it if you’re afraid of dark places or heights. We spent an entire day here. Fortunately, they have a restaurant and a shop inside, so come curious and stay entertained. If you’re a fan of Pippi Longstocking, this is your paradise! Please note that this place can get booked up very quickly, so it’s best to book your ticket in advance.

Small place with a lot of tales of Astrid Lindgren. The fairy tale train was nice but the place seems to be more focused on sales of souvenirs, food, drinks which occupied most of the area. There could be more areas related to Astrid Lindgren which was a little limited.

Wonderful experience. I went alone as an adult on my trip to Sweeden, and I enjoy a lot with the decoration, and I love the attraction where you make a tour between all the tales. I'm also an author and illustrator, so I was so inspired to create fantasy!
Elisabet A — Google review
We were here when the child was 10 years old. I think if the child were older, it would be difficult for them here – many of the attractions would be too small, they simply wouldn’t fit. But we had a great time visiting this place. A special favorite was the Story Train, which won’t leave even an adult indifferent.

The place to visit with kids & family in Stockholm. A very well adventure of Pipi‘s World and some other stories can be seen in Junibacken. Places to play and see theater play (in Swedish). There is also a story train ride that is really nicely done in many languages that you define at the beginning. The restaurant prices are fair. You should book in advance also the theater play separately (a bit complicated online) otherwise you won’t be able to see the Pipi show.
Simon C — Google review
Not worth it! Too crowded, too little to do, too expensive. If you are a family of 4 (2 grownups and 2 kids), I think there are better ways to spend both the time and money in Stockholm. The building looks large but most of the space is taken by the “fairy tale train”, which is cool but it lasts about 5 minutes and gives summaries for Astrid Lindgren’s stories (not very novel). The queue to get to the train was about 20 minutes. When we thought of having another ride as there was no queue at the end of the day, it turned out we had to pay 20kr extra per person. Which is honestly quite petty given that we paid over 200kr per person in entrance fees for a 5 minute experience. There is also a possibility to attend a theater performances. It’s 20 minutes long and you need to prebook the tickets. We arrived at ca 13:45, there were no tickets left by then (which made it extra annoying that it was required to pay for the fairy tale ride). Apart from these two activities, there are 3 playrooms nicely decorated around the themes from different stories such as Pippi Longstrump, Lasse Maja, Petsson and Findus etc. There’s also an activity room to build with PlusPlus. And there’s a Moomin playground outside, with fun figures but without any swings and only 2 slides (one of which is a meter long and dangerously rusty). We arrived at around 14:00 and were quite done with the place by 17:00. It would have even been enough to be there less. Upon arrival it was really crowded, and too warm. By 15:30 it was quite empty. In general felt like a rip off for what we got. Kids thought it was cool with the decorations. We as parents were quite miserable and disappointed.

Lots of fun with our 18 month old. Story train was a real hit, the playground was great. I'm also glad we had lunch here, it was phenomenal. Literally the second best meal we had in Stockholm. We got the sweet and sour tofu stew, the pork collar, and the small children's pancake meal. There wasn't a thing on anyone's plate we didn't love.

Lovely place to dive into the Swedish children stories. Our kids from 10, 7 and 4 enjoyed it. Enough installations to physically get engaged. Plan 1-2hr for you visit.

Speceriet is a bakficka bistro in Stockholm, offering high-quality cuisine in a more casual setting. It's run by Michelin-starred chefs who aim to make upscale dining more affordable without compromising on taste. The restaurant serves well-made food in smaller portions at a reasonable price. With non-reservable seating, it provides an intimate experience for indulging in old-time favorites like Swedish meatballs.
Amazing atmosphere! Michelin Star-like food but very cool understatement unpretentious atmosphere which gives you a very good feeling for the new awesome Swedish/Nordic cuisine of young tattoed chefs in this amazing city

The food was very good, the price is actually reasonable taken into account how big the two person portions is. From my understanding the menus changes now and then. At this time there was a lot of fish and lamb. I only tried the fish, it was very tasteful. The place is not that big and you are sitting with long tables shared with others.

Went for dinner with my wife. Saw the positive reviews and we weren't disappointed! The food is AMAZING. You must have the Tarte Flambée. A simple dish made with fresh ingredients and full of flavour. The chicken classic also lives up to its name. Juicy, well seasoned chicken that pairs well with the salad. And their sourdough bread. Another homemade winner. Should also mention that it is extremely good value!! Last but not least, a wonderful ambience and atmosphere. Lovely, attentive staff who ensured we had a fantastic night.

“Phenomenal Nordic Gastronomy at an accessible price.” Unique experience with amazing and tasty food, great staff and excellent atmosphere. Love the cozy place and the attention to customers,, the story telling about each dish. The nordic, organic and sustainable food were absolutely amazing and the staff lovely and very present. Nordic gastronomi food, made from the ground. Excellent service, and clean place. Relaxed but attentive, and thoroughly knowledgeable about all aspects of food and wine.Location is just offside & Not easy to find but yes very much famous in to locals.

A wonderful experience. Prepare to taste every single bite. Let that all the flavors take your mouth and your taste. Better if you ask for explanations of every option your order. Alone or with company, is a very recommended experience you have to take at least once.

Very nice place indeed! On the small side, butthey have a lot of non-reservable seats. Had beetroot, jerusalem artichokes, cod and the herring. All of which were excellent! The rhubarb dessert was great, but the chocolate wasabit off(which they pulled from our tab). We where excelently waitered and they have a good range of good beverages! For a non upscale place it is a bit on the high end of the price range.

Swedish restaurant
If you find yourself in Stockholm, a visit to Meatballs for the People is a must. This unfussy restaurant offers a variety of meatball dishes, along with global cuisine, desserts, wine, and draft beer. The focus here is on the classic Swedish dish - meatballs. Made from ecologically sourced meat, they offer over 15 different kinds of meatballs including pork, beef, wild boar, calf, moose, reindeer, haddock, salmon and chicken.
This restaurant was such a unique, but fun experience! As an African-American woman traveling for the first time in Sweden, the food was tasty, warm and comforting. All of the employees were extremely helpful, pleasant, and friendly when it came to helping us decide what to choose. I had the regular pork and beef meatballs found in USA of course, but my friend had veal meatballs, and she did say they were also tasty as well! Definitely recommend to all international travelers coming to visit Sweden. Also it’s noted to go during less peek times maybe after lunch or prior to dinner @7 PM as stated on another Google review. Space can seem limited and definitely was semi- crowded for 6PM DINNER on a random Tuesday or Wednesday.

We had a good experience here. The food was really tasty, although the portion was not that big and the prices are quite high (but that's Stockholm in general). They have a wide selection of types of meat and side dish. The staff was really friendly and the order was brought fast. They also have a good beer selection. It's important to book before going!!

Great Spot for a True Meatball Experience If you’re looking for a real meatball experience, this is the place to go. The restaurant offers a wide variety of different meatballs depending on the day sometimes even options like bear meatballs, which I unfortunately didn’t get to try. The ones I did have were really good. The dish came with mashed potatoes, traditional sauce, lingonberries, and pickled cucumber, all of which complemented the meatballs perfectly. The interior was cozy, the atmosphere was spot on, and the staff were fast and friendly. They also had a nice selection of drinks to choose from. However, I found it a bit pricey for what you get. We ordered the Meatball Feast for a minimum of two people, which lets you try different varieties of meatballs. While it was a good experience overall, the price felt slightly high for the portion size.
Dario J — Google review
The meatballs were really flavorful. I ordered the spaghetti with beef meatballs, and the sauce paired perfectly with the meat — so delicious! The pasta was cooked just right, too. It’s a bit of a shame that the risotto I originally came for was sold out, but this one was still a great choice. The price is quite on the higher side, though.

“Meatballs For The People”—a spot made famous to us by Travel Man. Queueing is a way of life here, but after no more than a fifteen minute wait, we scored bar seats with a view of the kitchen. We were tempted to go all-in with the chef’s selection meatballs but we were (I was) nervous that we would end up eating a bear. Instead we selected our preferred meatballs, which arrived with creamy mash, sweet-tart lingonberries, and a carafe of house red. Heaven on a plate, honestly.
Lucy W — Google review
Loved this place! The vibe is super relaxed and the staff are friendly. Of course, the traditional Swedish meatballs are great, but what really surprised me were the vegan meatballs seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. Flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and not just an afterthought on the menu. Great sides too, especially the mashed potatoes and lingonberries. A must-try spot in Södermalm, whether you eat meat or not!
Katrina C — Google review
Meatballs for the People – Tasty Late-Night Bites with Mixed Impressions Stopped by Meatballs for the People late in the evening, just as they were getting ready to close indoor dining. The staff was courteous enough to let us order and eat outside at the patio tables, which was a nice gesture. We tried a variety of meatball samplers that included every option on the menu. The conventional beef and pork-based meatballs stood out as the most flavorful and satisfying. In contrast, the more adventurous options like boar and other exotic meats didn’t quite hit the mark—interesting to try, but not as enjoyable in terms of taste. The sides were solid, and the drinks were pretty decent—nothing standout, but well-mixed and enjoyable with the meal. As for the atmosphere and pricing: it's a casual and trendy spot, but the prices are definitely on the higher side. While the branding and concept are fun, it’s hard to tell whether this is a local favorite or more of a tourist hotspot. Worth a visit, especially if you're nearby and curious to try something different, but go in with tempered expectations and a willingness to explore the full range of the menu.

The best museum ever, really. It’s the third time I come to Stockholm especially for see the exhibition here. It’s always super interesting but it’s a complete experience. The restaurant- the food is so good and the music is so cool; the architecture and the interior design is so cosy; the shop : you want to buy everything. The personal is very welcoming and sympathetic. Really it’s an addiction. I went to Berlin, Tallinn and New York for see the others Fotografiska and I’m super exiting to go to the one in Shanghai this summer.

Amazing restaurant experience with lovely staff and ambience. We had these two ‘snacks’ first, a thin sliced boar on toast (but much more than that) and a cup of goat cheese w berry. The tomato mezze was sublime and the squid with poached egg was my highlight; probably my best squid dish in years. Fun room with kitchen action plus views of the harbor. Free admission to museum with your reservation💕 Thanks all!

Excellent photography gallery in a striking coastal location in Stockholm. Located in an excellent architectural conversion of a previous customs building offers some dynamic exhibition spaces. On display at the time were exhibitions by the photographer video and film director Anton Corbijn , international images by Viviane Sassen and mid 20th century photographs by Hans Hammarskiold.

Great museum in an old building, interesting exhibitions. The bistro is excellent! Ate a pulled pork burger and an apple tart, and it was very good quality for a fair price. It has a lounge area, with great photos on rotation on huge screens. Very good ambiance. If I visit Stockholm again, this will be a must!

Fotografiska is such a cool place modern, creative, and full of inspiring exhibitions. The photos are always top-notch, and they rotate often, so there’s something new every visit. The café upstairs has one of the best views in Stockholm (and great food too!). Even if you’re not super into photography, it’s worth going for the atmosphere alone.

I had a lovely time at this smallish photography museum! There were seemingly only temporary exhibits here but they were all really great. Even some that were based on Swedish artists. My favorite part is how you can drink and eat in the museum. I am alcohol free but I enjoyed the first exhibit eating ice cream from the gift shop! They are also open late so it’s easy to fit into your schedule.

The museum is in walking distance from the central. If you have bought daily city pass card, you don't need to pay for the entrance. Pass card covers this museum as well. There are different exhibitions in different floors and rooms. I was expecting more but I am not very impressed by the current exhibitions. The museum is open till 11 pm. The sunset view in front of the museum building is amazing. Take your time and enjoy the city view and sunset colors.

The Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm showcases the history of the prestigious award and the remarkable achievements of its laureates. Situated at Stortorget Square in Gamla Stan, it offers insights into the significance of the Nobel Prize. Visitors can explore well-preserved houses in various colors around the square and indulge in a fika experience at renowned cafes like Chokladkoppen. The museum is a must-visit for those interested in learning about groundbreaking contributions across different fields.
We saw this while randomly walking and went in. It was crowded, which was unsurprising given the quality of the exhibits. Everything from medals and the story of their winners, to equipment used for winning research. Films to highlight the work, historical and ongoing of peace prize winners. The shop was small and cramped, but not at all overpriced and with enthusiastic, helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Incredible museum to go through. It was very interesting to see the artifacts from the different people who have received the award. There is a small cafe as well and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. There is an accessible entrance in the back of the building you can use a doorbell to get in.

The Nobel Prize Museum is absolutely fascinating and incredibly informative. It offers a captivating journey through the history of the Nobel Prize and the remarkable achievements of its laureates. From interactive exhibits to inspiring stories of innovation, peace, and discovery, the museum brilliantly showcases how these groundbreaking contributions have shaped our world. I highly recommend visiting not only for the rich knowledge you'll gain but also for the inspiration it sparks.

Visiting the Nobel Museum in Stockholm was truly one of the highlights of my trip. From the moment you step inside, you’re immersed in an atmosphere that celebrates curiosity, discovery, and human achievement. The museum manages to strike a perfect balance between history, science, and personal stories, making it just as engaging for casual visitors as it is for those deeply interested in innovation and culture. The exhibits are beautifully presented—informative without ever feeling overwhelming—and they showcase the incredible diversity of Nobel Prize laureates, spanning peace, literature, science, and economics. I especially enjoyed the interactive displays, which made complex ideas more approachable and allowed me to connect with the human side of groundbreaking discoveries. The storytelling is both inspiring and humbling; it leaves you reflecting not only on the brilliance of the laureates but also on the values of curiosity, peace, and collaboration that the Nobel Prize stands for. The museum staff were friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable, adding even more depth to the experience. On top of that, the location in the heart of Stockholm’s beautiful Old Town makes it easy to combine with a stroll through charming cobblestone streets and cafes. Whether you love science, history, literature, or just want to leave with renewed optimism about humanity’s potential, the Nobel Museum is an absolute must-visit. I left feeling inspired and uplifted—it’s not just a museum, but an experience that celebrates the best of human creativity and vision.

Immerse yourself in the medieval era at Stockholm Medieval Museum, located near the Royal Palace. The museum is built on an excavation site that uncovered various artifacts from the medieval period. It features original city walls, merchant homes, workshops, and part of Stockholm's original port. Visitors can explore how people lived during that time, including their daily lives, city planning, celebrations, and challenges they faced.
This kind of hidden museum tells the early story of Stockholm, and you can se the remains of the first city wall, which was actually not discovered until the end of the 20th century. In the museum, you can see a lot of exciting displays, and there are things for kids as well. Best of all, the museum is free, and you can store your luggage for free as well. In order to find the entrance, you actually have to walk around the Parliament and then enter from the basement. Visited with my brother and my teenage daughter. They too found it interesting.

I was there couple of years ago, as I can see now it is temporarily closed. Wondering if it means renovation and improvements - would be excited to see more. We had an amazing visit already back then. Free entry, great expositions, miniatures and information presented in an interesting way. Great location, right in the centre of Stockholm. Will be keeping an eye on the opening dates. Would love to come back.

First of all they have a free entry. I visited this museum on a Sunday. There was no wait time. There was a free guided tour at 2 in English. It was great to know the history and I really liked how people of the city came forward and saved the part of history. They have parts of old city wall. They reconstructed the looks of the old city. It was really nice to see all those things along with the old items found from that era.

Stumbled across this museum as we were walking near the park in front of Parliament, and very happy we did! It's free admission, and you probably need about 45mins, which is the perfect size museum for me. Inside you'll find uncovered medieval artifacts of Stockholm from hundreds of years ago, which gives you a good sense of how much life has truly changed. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Museum is free for all and is absolutely fascinating. If you want to understand the cultural heritage of Stockholm and Gamla Stan especially, then this is the place to go definitely. It gives you an in depth understanding of what Stockholm was like during the Medieval period and also a short and brief understanding of what life entailed during that period of time. It also offers a fascinating insight into people's homes in the past and how they lived as well as models of the old town and battles which took place. Definitely worth a visit and expect to spend between 1 to 2 hours in there!

The National Museum, also known as the Nationalmuseum, is a must-visit attraction in Stockholm. It houses an extensive collection of art and design from the Middle Ages to the present day. With nearly 50,000 exhibits including paintings, drawings, and sculptures, it offers a journey through six centuries of Swedish art history. Although currently undergoing renovation, temporary exhibitions can be viewed at other locations in Stockholm such as the Academy of Art or the House of Culture.
Very well thought out and designed art museum in Stockholm with art spanning from up to 800 or so years ago to present day. The displays are set up in a walking loop, so you can start at the early years until present. There was no wait time in buying an entrance ticket, and the museum is laid out so there's no way you'll get lost. There are audioguides as well for a mood engaging experience. It's worth the time and money if you're in Stockholm and love museums.

The National Museum is simply spectacular and an absolute must-see for anyone visiting Stockholm. The newly renovated building itself is breathtaking—a perfect harmony of tradition and modernity that sets the stage for the treasures inside. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was captivated not only by the art but also by the sense of history and culture that fills every corner of the museum. The collection is vast and wonderfully diverse, spanning centuries of European art and design, with an especially strong focus on Swedish and Nordic works. Paintings, sculptures, applied arts, and design pieces come together in a way that feels both impressive and approachable. What I particularly loved was how thoughtfully the exhibits are arranged: the storytelling flows naturally, making it easy to appreciate masterpieces by world-famous artists alongside lesser-known but equally fascinating works. The museum also does an excellent job of being inclusive and engaging for all types of visitors. I found the interactive installations and detailed descriptions very helpful in deepening my understanding, while still leaving room for personal reflection and wonder. The staff were kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the art, which made the experience all the more pleasant. The café and museum shop are also worth mentioning—both beautifully designed and a perfect way to complement the visit. And with its location right by the waterfront, the National Museum offers stunning views of Stockholm, making it a cultural and aesthetic delight inside and out. If you visit Stockholm, don’t miss the chance to step into this treasure house of creativity and history—it’s a place that truly lingers in your memory.

A wonderful museum filled with different types of artwork. It's a must see museum when in Stockholm, one can see from anywhere when visiting old town, we can get tickets while entering It's a multi storey building, recommended to start from the 2nd floor to start the last 1400 century artworks, and from that historic era come to modern works and recent advancements in art and paintings It's a big and we can spend 3 to 4 hrs easily to have a good view of the place Ground floor it has a store to buy souvenirs and books and paintings copies It also has small restaurant and a community hall usually busy during summer time

This was a great option for a quick lunch! We stopped in based on a recommendation and were very glad we did! We're not vegetarian but do enjoy healthy meals, and the delicious, hearty food hit the spot. The food tended toward Mediterranean and Indian flavors, both of which we love. It wasn't busy when we stopped, but it should be! It was on a quieter street in the old town so we could sit at the outside tables and enjoy the atmosphere. Because it's buffet style, we could sample a lot of things but still get on with more sightseeing fairly quickly. Definitely worth a stop for a tasty, healthy lunch.

Quite expensive but the food was excellent with a good selection of vegan/vegetarian dishes and since it's a buffet you can certainly eat your money's worth. Best to go hungry! I'm slightly annoyed the coffee was extra and not included in the already pricey lunch fee. Most lunch places seem to include a cup of coffee as standard practice. It was also very busy when we went and the tables are placed quite close together making it not the most relaxed or private dining experience.

The Grand Hôtel, established in 1874, is a luxurious destination offering stunning water views and upscale amenities. Located near Stockholm Castle and Old Town, the hotel provides breathtaking vistas of the city and waterfront. Guests can enjoy exquisite dining at the renowned on-site restaurant helmed by Mathias Dahlgren, as well as cocktails at the elegant Cadier Bar.
Had a wonderful time at Grand Hotel in Stockholm. It was a quick trip with another couple and the hotel did not disappoint. You should absolutely book a room with breakfast and access to the spa. I have stayed at many 5-star hotels and his is the best breakfast experience so far. You can even get the same breakfast experience as room service on the weekends. The spa was absolutely lovely and never crowded. The rooms were well appointed although a bit dimly lit and we would have preferred a few more windows. Service was lovely from the concierge to front desk to those helping with car service. The location is excellent as well, as you can walk to many places in the city without the noise in the evening when trying to sleep.

Definitely the best hotel in Stockholm Very classic design with all new renovations Services were amazing too. Every staff was very professional, friendly, helpful and supportive. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Rooms layout and style were a bit different in each floor. But all were very nice. The meeting rooms were very outstanding too, especially the facing to the river

Some places don’t perform luxury — they embody it. The rooms are impeccable, carrying the rich, layered history of Stockholm with quiet grace. The staff were attentive, and the concierge arranged an exceptional itinerary for the day. I was pleasantly surprised by the room-service menu, something I have expereinced that Nordics rarely get right. At the Cadier Bar, I ordered a Bloody Mary made with akvavit instead of vodka and the balance was impeccable, easily the finest I’ve had in my travels. A small detail, perhaps, but that’s where true refinement lives: in the choices that ask for nothing yet deliver everything.

Our stay at the Grand Hotel Stockholm was an absolute highlight from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better – right on the waterfront with breathtaking views of the Old Town, and many sights within easy walking distance. We especially want to highlight the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff, who made us feel welcome at all times. From the reception to housekeeping – everyone was warm, professional, and always ready to help. The rooms are elegantly furnished, spotlessly clean, and offer the highest level of comfort. The breakfast buffet is outstanding – fresh, varied, and featuring many Swedish specialties. If you want to experience Stockholm in a luxurious, relaxed, and truly hospitable atmosphere, this is the place to be. We will definitely be back!

We loved our short stay of a family of 3. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a junior suite which was wonderful , spacious , lovely design. The staff during the whole stay was wonderful. Special mention during check in process when they particularly were very thoughtful and kind with our son, Very engaging but also polite staff. Lovely food and great selection of wines with very good recommendations. We also enjoyed our breakfast overlooking the waterfront . Many thanks !

The hotel is lovely , with plenty of history! It has a luxury feel with a day spa and lovely bar. The rooms are fairly large and have plenty of storage for personal items. While there are plenty restaurant options , the service in the restaurants didn't match the high level at the reception and concierge. Being high season I am assuming staff were stretched as for both breakfast and dinners we experienced slow service and at times some staff ignoring our tables.

There cannot be a better hotel in all of Stockholm. The location is wonderful and the service is divine. The cocktail bar is one of the best I have been to in the world, and I still am dreaming about the bathtub in the room. Not to mention the delicious breakfast every morning! Perfectly located to everything in Stockholm, but you will not want to leave the hotel!

For our visit to Stockholm, we chose to stay at the Grand Hotel. I'm happy that we made the best choice possible. The Grand Hotel is perfect - beautiful common areas, sumptuous rooms, excellent dining, and professional and refined service. Our room was perfectly soundproofed and allowed us to have an amazing view of the harbor and old town. Highly recommended!

This was my first time here, happy times. The service is friendly and happy and great, the Guinness and other beers were fresh, tasteful and cold, the place is cozy and lively, with great vibes and the Moules Frites o aioli were excellent, to much tasty food I would say. Looking forward to come back soon. Update 2023: great place!!

A nice cozy and warm place. But a bit old fashioned. Not very modern in design and ambience. But gives a good feeling.. Soup was deliciously good. Main course was just ok. I would need something more to go back to the place otherwise it is more of a Sunday eating place with cozy environment

Nice bar for a Beer but, as most places in the area, quite packed on a Friday. We selected the exclusive beers but they didn’t have one of the the offers, the bartender offered us an alternative in good manners. We found a ourselves far in the back corner, a cozy one with a good mixture of arts and posters that contributed to the mood. Music was comfortably low and facilitated discussion.

Military Museums
The Army Museum in Stockholm, located in central Ostermalm, showcases a rich collection of Swedish military uniforms and weapons spanning from the 16th century to the present day. Visitors can explore the country's history through artifacts from various battles as well as personal items reflecting both wartime and peacetime experiences. The museum offers free audio guides in English for a better understanding of the exhibits.
I was not museum person until I experience here. The presentation of Swedish history kept me interested. We spent 2.5 hours inside reading, inspecting everything without boring. We could continue if it weren't close to closing hours. Also they gave you chance to feel the history physically. There are few items that is allowed to to wear, sit, lift, inspect etc. It was super exciting experience to visit this museum. Also the blonde lady on the entrance is THE best. She was helpful, kind, and quite warm person despite the coldness of Sweden. Thank you!
Mucahid D — Google review
What better way to learn about the history of a country you're visiting than going to the Military Museum. It's very worthwhile, with not only a lot of artifacts, but interactive displays and plenty of information about the time periods, historical figures, battles, and more. It's not too difficult to find and the entrance price is relatively priced. There are 3 floors of history to explore, and they all lead you in their respective timelines. Normally you start on the 3rd floor and make your way down. Very well set up and displayed, it was a very enjoyable tour of the museum. With history, you can always learn something new. Highly recommend this museum.
Jason S — Google review
Visiting the Army Museum in Stockholm was an outstanding experience that far exceeded my expectations. The museum offers a fascinating and well-structured journey through Sweden’s military history, from the 16th century to modern times, presented in a way that is both informative and highly engaging. What impressed me most was the balance between historical accuracy and accessibility. The exhibitions are thoughtfully curated, with detailed artifacts, interactive displays, and clear explanations in English as well as Swedish. The chronological layout makes it easy to follow Sweden’s military past while also understanding the broader European and global context. Highlights include the extensive collection of uniforms, weapons, and personal belongings that give a very human perspective on war and conflict. The museum does an excellent job of not only showcasing military achievements but also reflecting critically on the impact of war on society and individuals. This creates a balanced, thought-provoking narrative rather than glorifying warfare. The building itself is beautiful, located in the Östermalm district, and the museum is very well-organized and accessible. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and entry is free, which makes it even more impressive considering the quality of the exhibitions. Overall, the Army Museum is a must-visit in Stockholm for anyone interested in history, culture, or simply looking to understand Sweden from a different perspective. It’s both educational and deeply moving, and I would highly recommend it to visitors of all ages.
Dustin S — Google review
Wonderful experience. The museum is very nicely designed, with a lot of original trophies from the various wars & time periods. It's especially amazing how there is a lot of clothing, as in, the uniforms, that the person can try on.
Lazar R — Google review
Great museum. Covers a vast amount of history and I was surprised at the amount of World War 1 and 2 coverage given the stance of Sweden in both wars. Anyone with a remote interest in military history can easily spend a few hours here. From my recollection, the texts accompanying the exhibits were only in Swedish and English.
Anil B — Google review
Amazing collection documenting Sweden’s history of warfare and armed combat dating back to 1500s. Great set pieces and displays, with loads of information. One floor took us a couple of hours.
Fergus J — Google review
A fantastic museum, with very interesting and realistic models and displays. There's also a philosophical element that allows us to reflect on the nature of war.

Love, love, love… this museum. Amazing historical collection of Sweden’s Army. Plan to spend at least two to three hours here. The way the museum is designed engages the visitor - touch and try, smell, wear uniforms, hold weapons. BRILLIANT!!!

The Hallwyl Museum in Stockholm is a unique glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the city's elite during the late 19th century. The former home of Countess Wilhelmina von Hallwyl and her husband, it showcases their extensive collection of art, artifacts, and personal items.
The museum opened in the center of Stockholm in the last century. The museum has an exhibition of a dozen exhibits showing how the Swedish nobility lived in the Victorian era.

this was a remarkable museum. Nothing has been changed in 1930 what a refreshing place to visit life as it was in 1930 for the rich people in Stockholm thankfully she left everything so we could see how they lived. They also had a special exhibit on doll houses which I love we did the English tour and Frede the tour guide was excellent. I’m glad we waited to have the English tour. We got to see the rooms where the paintings were. It was worth the extra. They have a area where you can have lunch pricey and limited but available a small gift shop and the area where you put your coat and they have a cute little area for children to play like they have their own doll house. Don’t miss it.
Harriet M — Google review
Amazingly preserved house of royalty showcasing several interesting collections, either from the Countess herself or the Museum. English tours were no longer available for the day but every room has a booklet with information. The museum staff are very polite and helpful. It takes quite a bit of time to thoroughly see and read everything this museum has displayed. You will not be able to view a part of the ceramics collection in detail without a tour guide. You can still see it from beyond a safety rope.

This museum offers a fascinating glimpse into Swedish aristocratic life in the early 20th century. A beautifully preserved mansion, once home to Countess Wilhelmina von Hallwyl, is filled with exquisite art, antique furniture, and rare collectibles. The guided tours provide rich historical context, bringing the opulent rooms and unique collection to life. From intricate woodwork to luxurious textiles, every detail showcases the wealth and refined taste of its former owners.

Stunning residence in the very center of Stockholm. Beautiful collection of paintings by the dutch school of painting. I loved it. Couple of paintings by Lucas Cranach the Elder and Breugel. A lot of other artifacts: porcelain, silver, artifacts from China. Absolutely incredibly lavish public rooms.

A spectacular museum! A beautiful mansion. A must see when in Stockholm. We were surprised it wasn’t better known on the tourist circuit. You have the place almost to yourself. It’s just stunning, full of amazing detail and old world charm. A beautiful home available to visit. We didn’t eat there, but the restaurant in the courtyard has a great atmosphere. I would eat there next time I visit.

We had a great 2 hrs, private archipelago tour with Gustav! The scenery was beautiful, the host very flexible and hospitable! Beautiful stop on one of the islands was included. We are a family of 4, it was my husbands anniversary and Gustav arranged a bottle of wine, how nice! I would definitely recommend this tour!!

We had an amazing day on Gustav’s boat. We explored the archipelago, swam in a beautiful, peaceful lagoon and ate at a charming restaurant recommended by Gustav. Gustav was very easy going and welcoming. We contacted him at 8pm the night before our boat trip and he responded quickly and was flexible and accommodating. The whole experience was extremely positive and was a highlight of our trip to Stockholm.

What a fabulous outing out on the water. The 2 hr cruise gave enough time to see both the city harbor areas and included going out to the quaint archipelagos and a stop at ‘Feather Island’ to see the shops and grab souvenirs. Highly recommend this personal tour for any family or group. It’s a great alternative to the crowded tourist boats.

An unforgettable island tour around Stockholm- 5 stars for skipper Richard. We were treated to a great experience that perfectly combined natural beauty, local insight and top notch hospitality. Richard was not only an incredible skilled captain but also an outstanding guide. His knowledge of the archipelago and warm personality made the entire journey relaxing and enriching. Richard went above and beyond to tailor the route to our interests, pointing out hidden gems and telling interesting stories along the way. If you are looking for an unique and unforgettable way to experience Stockholm's beautiful archipelago this private boat tour with Richard is the way to go. Highly recommended!

5* experience. Can’t recommend Gustaf enough - I decided to propose to my partner during our stay in Stockholm and Gustaf was extremely helpful in putting it all together and create a scenic route for us. He even took us to a closed island meaning only the two of us there which was a surreal experience. The boat was great, comfy inside and out, beers and blankets available and also offered us to play our own music but we preferred his Swedish tunes :) Thanks again for providing such a special experience for us both that we will never forget. Regardless of the occasion the boat trip was fantastic and felt an amazing way to see Stockholm. We will back again in the summer and no doubt back to see Gustaf for another trip

Strandvägen is a historic and elegant avenue in Stockholm, known for its stunning waterfront views and upscale atmosphere. This storied avenue was completed in 1897 for the Stockholm Worlds Fair and boasts palatial apartment buildings designed in the Revivalist style.

One of the most elegant and scenic boulevards in Stockholm. Lined with grand historic buildings and beautiful architecture, it runs along the waterfront and offers stunning views across the water. It’s a lovely place to stroll, especially on a sunny day, with trees, benches, cafes, and even docked boats adding to the charm. This area also feels quite upscale, home to luxury hotels, high end shops, and classy restaurants.

We walked through on the way from central Stockholm to the Vasa Museum. The architecture of the buildings is impressive, and everything is scenic. I felt like the area was a bit car heavy though. It was easy to walk along the dock and there are some cool photo spots. There are more impressive streets in Stockholm, but worth walking through if your destination warrants it.

The street provides a nice setting for a leisurely stroll, and the presence of various restaurants and cafes with a view of the water is certainly a plus. The waterfront view is picturesque, and there's a certain charm to the atmosphere. It's a peaceful and serene location, ideal for a relaxing day out or a romantic evening. While it might not be the most unique or bustling place in the city, it certainly has its own appeal, and you're sure to enjoy your time here.

Cocktail bar
Restaurant Artilleriet is a trendy spot that offers a diverse menu of creative bar bites and mains, complemented by an array of cocktails, wine, and craft beer. It has gained a reputation as one of Ostermalm's coziest brunch spots, providing a luxurious dining experience in an inviting atmosphere with elegant decor and warm lighting. The restaurant is conveniently located near the Army Museum, offering spacious and stylishly decorated premises suitable for large groups.
So if you think Sweden is expensive you may be right. But its all about looking for the perfect place and this is it. My lunch was a meatball potatoes and a little salad with a beer for 250 kr but what they don't show is that you also get bread and the best homemade butter I've ever tasted. You get unlimited still or sparkling water and after the meal as much coffee as you want. All included in the price. Plus the best service and food you could wish for. Make an extra stop at this restaurant for lunch and you'll be a happy man. Ps don't forget to visit the museum!

This was our first stop in Stockholm! Food and service was lovely however we were really saddened to read the cocktail that berated our home city of Miami. It felt really extreme and pained us deeply… Please reconsider these harsh words, such hate really dampened our time in your establishment and we feel you can do better! But with that said our waitress was truly lovely and we enjoyed our food ❣️

Nice ambiance and delicious food and cocktails. Gluten-free and vegetarian options available. There was a good jazz duo playing when we were there, not too loud and we could still hear each other. We made a reservation just an hour before we went but they weren’t too busy. There are seats outside where you don’t need a reservation. Dog-friendly.

Popular dog-friendly restaurant by the Army Museum. It can get quite lively and crowded, so do expect some noise. Lunch is casual with interesting rotations on a daily basis. Guests can order at the counter and pick up some pastries on display with complimentary tea/coffee. Lovely queen scallops, which was a good preview of the promising dinner menu. Special doggo menu also available, basically kibbles and ice cream. Welcoming staff who took care of the dogs equally as well as the other guests.

Excellent place with good and loving food, nice staff and a nice locale. My only complaint is that the sound level was high, must be tiring for the staff. I would recommend hanging some big and heavy fabrics in the ceiling to dampen thing down. The drinks were good and fun, so I recommend you try them as well.

Asian fusion restaurant
MISSHUMASSHU is a downtown restaurant and cocktail bar known for its fusion of Japanese, Nordic, and Chinese flavors. The menu offers a variety of dishes such as ramen with pork belly in black garlic broth and small plates like kale salad with parmesan. The restaurant provides a casual and comfortable atmosphere for enjoying quick, delicious meals or cold drinks while listening to music.
Been coming here for years and always look forward to coming back. I’ve been with small groups, big parties, different seasons - food and service are always consistently good. They recently did a beautiful expansion and the space is really unique in this protected old shopping arcade. Best in any season, though I’d say summer is less ideal since it’s all indoors with no outdoor seating. Staff are super attentive, especially with intolerances and allergies. And of course, always order the guacamasshu.. it’s just fun to mix yourself and so delicious.
Erika — Google review
We came in for lunch, there were plenty to seating in this outdoor/indoor restaurant. It is located in a shopping mall with the table set up along the sides of the walkway. The restroom is upstairs behind a set of glass door by the entrance. It was hard to find if this is your first time dining here. We ordered the Ramen, shrimp skewers, and the papaya salad. We thought the broth and flavor of the ramen were excellent. The pork belly however had a very strong smell to it. We actually couldn’t eat it and just had the noodles and broth. The salad was super fresh and delicious. And we thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp as well. We would recommend this restaurant as it open late and the food is great! 👍

One of the nicest restaurants I have tried in Stockholm! We chose to take the Omakase menu and every dish was an explosion of flavour. The guacamasshu is a must if you don't wanna go for the menu. The cocktails are great as well! Great service & atmosphere! Highly recommended!

An unexpected gem for super casual dining. This Japanese-influence hangout offers delightful small dishes rooted in real Japanese food. Nothing is authentic Japanese to be clear, but it is so much fun who cares?! Every dish was really yummy. From the papaya salad (great fish-sauce based dressing), the steamed greens tossed with herbs & fresh greens under a sesame dressing, to the Iberico pork yaki tori coated in hoisin - just delish. As much as we enjoyed the savory dishes, it was the dessert chawanmushi that blew us away. Chawanmushi is normally an egg custard savory dish - but this team turned it into a dessert with berries and roasted buckwheat joining a vanilla-maple syrup background. We should have ordered two! Sooo good.

I booked a table in advance for a month for Valentine's Day. I feel impressed with the atmosphere and service. I ordered 3 dishes which are Little Ramen (spicy miso ramen), Hoisin Grazed Chicken Thigh and Hoisin Beef Cheek. I love everything, especially chicken thigh and Hoisin Beef Cheek. They know how to choose ingredients that work together so well. Cocktails are delicious as well. The price is reasonable and affordable. I love this place. It's in my top 5 Asian and Japanese fusion restaurants in Stockholm for me.

We came by for lunch on a weekend. Our seating was in the gallerian walkway under a sea of beautifully lit orange bulbs and koinobori (carp flags). Our last visit was a few years ago and this restaurant has improved while retaining its signature Japanese fusion theme. Serving was prompt and the food did not take long to arrive. OUR MEAL: 🔸️ Garlic butter fried red shell prawns, onion, coriander, breadcrumbs, ponzu 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 This side dish delights with its savoury sauce that has a light hint of yuzu tanginesss. The red Argentinian prawns were firm and sweet. The breadcrumbs when soaked with the sauce was a clever touch that added a crunchy bite. 🔸️ Tonkatsu pork schnitzel, rice, mayo, coriander, kimchi, togarashi, lime 🤩🤩🤩🤩 Generous bowl of steamed rice, topped with chopped kimchi and breaded pork fillet. The flavour of the tonkatsu was good, cripsy on the outside and tender, fresh meat on the inside. It was a little dry on its own but the mayo helped. 🔸️ Crunchy turbot “Tonkatsu style”, kimchi, soy mayo, coriander and lime 😪 A relatively small serving of a medium cut of turbot on a bed of kimchi. Tonkatsu style didn't work to bring out the dish. The fish was bland and dry. As the meat of this fish is also firm, the style of cooking- breading, deep frying and serving it with mostly kimchi was unappetising. Given it's high price at 345 SEK, it is not a dish I would order again.

Great food for sharing. The concept is small plates. So you order 3-4 per person. Food was delish with all the right flavors. Servers were very polite n humble n were smiling. Felt welcomed

Nice Japanese restaurant. The food was great but unfortunately the service could be much better. We had the omakase menu which I really recommended but the service was slow with a unclear explanation of the dishes.
