Outlet mall
Marques Avenue Romans is a local shopping outlet featuring major brands at discounted prices. The area also offers a glimpse of Renaissance mansions and elegant medieval houses. Visitors can explore various stores, including both well-known and lesser-known brands, with varying discounts. Parking is convenient, and there are options for dining as well. While the space may be tight, it's recommended to take time to stroll around the area without rushing.
Amazing place. Great place to shop and to hang out too.
Andrew I — Google review
Nice outlet center. Lots of different shops with also for us (Dutchies) some unknown brands. But also the usual suspects Nike, Adidas, Puma aso. Discounts differ a lot per shop so have a good look. But we Dutchies got some good bargains haha. Parking is easy in the middle of the area. Good for a rainy day when you are on holiday at the camping.

My recent day trip to Romans-sur-Isère was a delightful journey through time and style. This town, with its echoes of Roman history whispering through ancient streets and the imposing Tour Jacquemart standing sentinel, truly captivated me. Imagine wandering past centuries-old buildings, each stone telling a silent story....(2025, not at all this) But the allure of Romans doesn't end in the past. Just a short, pleasant hop from the historical heart lies Marques Avenue, a modern oasis for the discerning shopper. Stepping into this well-curated outlet village felt like entering a different world – a world of coveted brands offering their treasures at irresistible high prices. (Not impressive!) The beauty of this location is the seamless blend of these two experiences. You can easily spend the morning immersed in history at the Musée International de la Chaussure (a must-visit, even if you're not a shoe fanatic!) and then, with a change of pace, indulge in some guilt-free retail therapy. (not for me) I found myself browsing through collections from renowned French and international designers, discovering quality pieces that added a touch of je ne sais quoi to my wardrobe without breaking the bank. My Highlight: Finding four nike running shoes at a fraction of its original price! Planning Your Visit: Make a day of it! Start with a stroll through the historic center, savor a traditional Lyonnaise lunch at a local bouchon, and then head to Marques Avenue for an afternoon of delightful discoveries.🥐 The contrast between the old-world charm and the contemporary shopping experience is truly unique. And now why not you? Go see for yourself how beautiful this complex is. 🙏🏻👋

Always worth taking your time to walk around Marques Avenue. Don't rush ! I would advise parking outside the main area now as space is very tight and not any spots. Lots of cheap parking just outside which you can pay for by credit card or on an app.

Nice and clean shopping mall with kind people
Rogier W — Google review
Lots of different stores, and easy to find your find the one you're looking for. We weren't aware that it is an outside mall, so we didn't bring jackets. Big regrets, because it was raining that day. We ate in a pizza place where there were heating lamps, which was super nice, but all of a sudden, the staff just shut the off and refused to turn them on again, despite their guests freezing.
Minna M — Google review
Big park with different shops of the big brands in this world. If you're looking for that one piece of clothing with reduction then this is the place to be. It tends to be very busy though....
Nicholas B — Google review
Not a huge outlet but good brands with good prices!

Shoe store
Nestled in the heart of the footwear and leather industry, Clergerie has played a pivotal role in shaping the city's reputation since the 19th century. The Shoe Museum showcases this rich heritage, highlighting iconic factories like Robert Clergerie and Charles Jourdan that contributed to its global fame. Visitors can also discover exquisite Roman shoes from Romans-sur-Isère, known for their craftsmanship and beauty.

(Translated by Google) My recent experience at Clergerie was disappointing and has seriously affected my confidence in this store. Although I have been satisfied with my previous purchases, the quality of my last pair of shoes has been unacceptable. After only 3 hours of wear, the sole came off, which raises questions about product quality control. It's also disconcerting that no warranty is offered, even though most stores offer at least one month of protection for their items. When I returned two weeks later to have my shoes repaired, I was expecting a replacement rather than a repair. In addition, the reception from the saleswoman was far from satisfactory, which added to my frustration. At this rate, I fear that Clergerie will lose many loyal customers.

(Translated by Google) A Robert Clergerie customer for years, I visited the Marque Avenue boutique in Romans sur Isère. What a disappointment! we enter the store during a "sale", items on promotion... nothing is indicated in the store and the saleswoman does not seem to care, except when paying for my pair shoes... where we are told that the items in "Clearance Sale" promotions are in such and such a place, the place in question is at the back of the store, the shoes are thrown on top of each other, without any storage, what a shame to present the shoes, this really does not reflect the image of the brand.

(Translated by Google) I don't usually leave such negative comments but... Passionate about indoor plants, rarely coming here I let myself be tempted… never again! It is shameful to find plants in such a state in a GARDEN STORE... Alocasias infested with scale insects, monstera infested with thrips, alocasia leaves that have been dead for a long time lying on the ground, "baby" plants (at an incredible price, by the way) that have been swimming for who knows when, so waterlogged that they no longer fit in their pot, plants that are turning yellow (see photo of pothos) because the maintenance is catastrophic... In short... I think we absolutely have to do something because it's really shameful... I didn't buy anything for fear of contaminating all my plants but there would be many plants to save... Please do something... (Translated by Google) I bought an oleander from Gamm Vert in Romans at the beginning of February, I was advised to plant it in March and in the meantime to keep it by putting water so that the rootball doesn't dry out and fertilizer, which I did. No one told me about freezing and that it had to be stored in a protected place and when I brought it back because it had been damaged I was told with extraordinary confidence that it was my fault because I had frozen it even though the temperature was not very low in February -0.7. It's a business fiasco because I left with my problem and they lost my business. Be aware that if you buy a plant there you may have to buy it elsewhere another time. When we gave the gift, 2 beers in the box were expired... When I kindly relayed the information, the only response was that they had the right to sell 10% expired beers and that they had forgotten to mark it on this one... So I found myself very embarrassed in front of my friends explaining to them that I had bought expired full price beers and that I was kindly offered to come back to recover 1€15 or 10% of the amount. In short, waste of money and time in the exchange with the manager, who is far from being a businessman. A quirky museum in a beautifully restored convent. The audio guide is fabulous and the huge range of shoes and footwear from across the centuries is unique. Staff are welcoming - allow at least a couple of hours to browse and listen and look.

Amazing building and museum fascinating history for both with a close study of the world at ground level so to speak😜, audio tour is practical, knowledgeable and interesting kept us all absorbed throughout. You don't even really have to be interested in shoes as the historical references tie the timeline together nicely and leaves your imagination engaged to the story couldn't recommend this place highly enough not forgetting the giant shoe trail around the town🤗❤️🇫🇷

Toilets and water station right after the ticket booth. Don't need to check anything in but lockers are available. Beautiful gardens outside as well. Love the video at the end that dresses a man and woman in different era outfits. Very entertaining. Highly recommend.

What fun! Even for those in our party who weren't all that interested in shoes! I opted for the audio tour because we didn't have a lot of time and it's faster than reading all of the history but not as thorough, I imagine. Complete tour, starting with stone shoes, tanning and coloring leather, through to sooo many fashions over the years and their influences. Need 2 hours to complete even at a fast pace and I'm sure I didn't get to see everything.

Even as a bloke, I found this interesting and my wife loved it. We managed to spend 2 hours there, including the Resistance Museum. The history of shoes is shown up to fairly recent times, with some remarkable examples from Egypt and medieval times. There are also exhibits from outside Europe. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Le Bar à Vin is a newly renovated restaurant with a warm and professional atmosphere. The menu changes every 20 days, offering a variety of options at good prices. The dishes are mostly French and generously portioned, making it perfect for holiday dining. The chef combines traditional French cuisine with inventive spices, resulting in delicious and creative meals. Additionally, the restaurant offers a great selection of wines to complement the food.
A fantastic place to eat. Friendly staff and good prices. Very large portions, the dishes are mostly french and tasteful, which is perfect if you are on a holiday here. There is cooling inside and comfortable chairs.

Visited this place on the 14th of July (french national holiday). I took a tartare of salmon which was decent, although the portion was very large. As a dessert I had the lime sorbet with a cream of olive oil, which triggered me at first and in hindsight I'm glad it did, it was a total positive surprise. The background music - post Malone on repeat - wasn't really my thing.

(Translated by Google) A very nice surprise on the plates! Unplanned stop for a quick dinner before hitting the road again. From the outside, nothing suggests what awaits us. Inside, white tables and chairs, simple setting with paper tablecloth, very simple. The counter is a simple wooden server. Nothing flashy, great simplicity. But the plates!!! A very small menu, little choice, but a very great mastery at first glance of these few dishes. In fact, but we didn't know it, these are small portions. Low prices for small portions, which allows you to choose starter, main course and dessert without fear, even for small eaters. Not knowing this, we did not ask for an entry, which was a mistake and which prevented us from tasting the antipasti!! 100% homemade, by Italians. The pasta is very very good. Succulent and ideally seasoned grilled eggplant. Softness, simplicity, perfect mastery of seasoning, a limited but effective choice and small portions so you can taste everything in the end... The service is “lovely”. The boss is as nice as anything, close to his customers. He is even surprised when we tell him that we are going to give a very good grade. Honestly, I only want to come back one day...

It is unacceptable to call it an Italian restaurant, people of epicureans and great friendliness. it is better to eat at home before going or not going at all is a good choice.

Nestled in a serene setting, Les Cèdres - Bertrand Frères has been captivating diners since its establishment in 1988. This exceptional restaurant is the brainchild of the passionate duo, Jacques and Jean-Paul Bertrand, who bring their unique talents together to create an unforgettable dining experience. With Jean-Paul at the helm of service and Jacques crafting exquisite dishes in the kitchen, guests are treated to a warm welcome and attentive care.
You arrive and you can easily park in the parking lot out front. You walk in and you imagine yourself in a whole different atmosphere. The garden is so beautiful and you can enjoy your aperitif and digestif here they also have cigars. Dinner is served inside to keep the dishes on point. This was a tremendously cool fantastic experience. We had a wonderful lunch here. The service was so friendly and very attentive. The food was extremely beautiful and flavors you have never tasted before. Very good and classic dinner. The restaurant looks beautiful. And the table are beautifully set. You even get a little chair for your bag. I found it a very special experience. And very different from the Michelin star restaurants in the Netherlands. The service here is much higher and the traditional appeals to me very much. I truly fell in love with this wonderful place!

(Translated by Google) I didn't find it dirty, unlike other reviews (well, I didn't visit the restrooms), but the food is really not great at all, especially the all-you-can-eat buffet. The fries were extremely dry and the oils were clearly at the end of their useful life (you can see it from the black residue on the fries), the pasta tasted like water, and the spinach gratin was really not good... On the other hand, it was well air-conditioned during a heatwave. The selection wasn't very wide, and to my surprise, there was only one employee to manage everything, both at the cash register and in the kitchen. Regarding timing, it seems that 1:50 p.m. was the latest service time. It wasn't necessarily bad, but I won't be going back. (Translated by Google) I went there with my family to enjoy all-you-can-eat mussels. Regarding the welcome, it's standard for this Flunch restaurant and consistent with the brand. At the checkout (where you choose your main course), we were informed that, contrary to what the Flunch website advertises, there are no mussels with cream or Roquefort (and no burgers either...). So much for the variety of mussel flavors. In the dining room, everything is clean. It's a little warmer at the back of the room. The mussels taste pretty standard (not great, but still good), and the sides aren't great (overcooked fries, bland vegetables, etc.). But strangely, around 1 p.m., there's a radical change: the fries are perfect, the vegetables delicious, and the appearance of tender dauphinoise potatoes... (Luckily it's all-you-can-eat.) All in all, a mixed experience... Not sure we'll go back...

(Translated by Google) We went to the Restaurant Le Tahiti des Balmes for an outing from Classes in 7, the atmosphere was there, a kir as an aperitif, bottles of rosé and red with the meal, coffee ☕️... and more, crémant at €15 and champagne for €30... round trip by bus (good service). Very decent ensemble, a dance hall, a good sound system... Hahitian costumes. A real pleasure for the whole group (52 people). To make known. I would like to go back for a couple outing, to get a more personal idea.
