Coffee store
Maison Gosselin is a historic treasure dating back to 1889, offering an array of Normandy delicacies, home appliances, and souvenirs. This unique store is a haven for food enthusiasts with its focus on French cuisine and an impressive selection of wines and whiskies from around the world. Visitors are drawn to its diverse and unique food items, while also being captivated by the extensive range of household products.
We didn’t eat in there but we bought lots of food and wine to take back to our boat. The shop looks amazing from the outside and the presentation inside is also incredibly pretty. We bought lots of red wine, French sparkling white wine ( M Gosselin’s own brand which we highly recommend), fish soup, coffee beans, cheese). If you are interested in good red wine, you must ask the wine cellar manager to open the ‘Cave’ for you and he will recommend wine to you according to your preferences. Staff are very friendly, especially at the wine cellar🤣. I think they knew we were going to buy quite a lot of wine from them that afternoon. They can also deliver to your boat if you are at the St Vaast Marina. If you are not planning to buy lots, it is still worth a visit to the shop because it is so beautiful.

Literally fantastic. So French you think you might see Jean-Paul Sartre or Toulouse-Lautrec in a corridor of this labyrinth. Everything you might need and lots you don't for sale here.
Richard J — Google review
An absolutely gorgeous shop. The interior design in the shop is fabulous. Lots of lovely things to buy and to look at. Will definitely return.
Julie W — Google review
Really cool delicacies store. They have a huge alcohol cellar as well as all kinda of regional products and delicacies. They also have some home decor stuff. Everything is packaged in an old french aesthetic style. It is a little on the expensive side, but I think it's worth checking out if you're in the area.
Lea S — Google review
It was the main reason for returning to St Vaast. Brilliant shop, so many unusual goodies, as well as the best wine cave ever! If you are in the harbour on a boat, they will deliver. Super.
Deborah M — Google review
What a great place!!! I think you can get everything in this shop! They have a large selection of Ardbeg a usually quite special Scotch. And around every corner there is the next surprise
Holger — Google review
Well worth a visit just to browse or buy oddities and deliciousness if you have deep pockets
Jan C — Google review
What a cool store! I haven't bought anything but the decor and set up just give a great feel. I was tempted to buy a bunch of food but was only staying for a short time in the area so decided not to.

Lovely 2 km hike around the tower. Please note that there is a correct entry point, all the way to the right. The left entrance (along the beach) is marked by a sign indicating do not enter. This is important as the path is rather narrow and cannot accommodate people coming from both directions.

The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including Normandy-style steak tartare and baked camembert. With its picturesque location on the marina, it provides a pleasant dining experience with attentive service. Caesar salad with bass, burger with goats cheese and frites and a bottle of Chardonnay - all for less than 60 euros. Excellent service and friendly staff. Allow dogs into restaurant.

We have eaten here regularly for the last 25 years. This evening we booked a table for 7:30pm with our 2 children, our food of 4 burgers took over 1 1/2 hours to arrive and when it did it was poor. No-one checked on us during this time. The bar manager was apologetic, I can only guess they missed our order but they made no effort to look after us having realised their error. I think they are just to busy to care. Really sad as this place used to be good.
Jeremy M — Google review
the Restaurant Marina. Everything was good, big serving. Fish, Tartare, Terrine de cochon… Excellent! until we reached the dessert 😡 the Baba -> Bad recipe - no pommeau, Baked apple -> no calvados, no cider. Coffee liegeois -> only one ball of ice cream for Eur 6! Yes you have understood! do not order dessert!
Gerald B — Google review
Amazing food. My steak was cooked just the way I had asked it to be. Only downside - it was rushed. Restaurant very busy but staff seemed harassed. When paying bill waiter/waitress took her time to finish putting away glasses before even acknowledging me. All in all lovely meal with beautiful views
Jane L — Google review
Went for a drink here around 6.30 and as they were starting food service at 7 we booked a table. The drinks seemed very expensive and it later became apparent that we had ordered and paid for a large beer but served a small one. The staff seemed very stressed and rushing around so we hope this was an honest mistake not deliberate. We were glad we booked because it was full, people started sitting down at 6.45. So hard to find somewhere to eat in France on a Sunday night! The food was lovely, we had the fish stew pot which came topped with melted camembert. Good choice of desserts. Reasonably priced.
Helen A — Google review
A rather underwhelming experience overall. The 300g steak lacked character, and the fries were soft, unsalted, and resembled soggy potato chips. The kids’ menu did include a tiny ice cream that was well received, and points for the glass-bottled Coke and decent sauce.

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
This establishment has quickly become a beloved destination, thanks to its charming location by the water and the sunny weather. The fish served here is exceptionally fresh, sourced directly from the nearby boat. The skilled chef impresses with a variety of delicious seafood dishes, including outstanding oysters, fish soup, and mussels. As today marks the end of our holiday, we indulged in all our favorites.
This place just became a favourite of ours. Glorious little Port and the Sun came out too. Fantastic fish restaurant and the fish only has to come of the boat moored up just outside. Chef really know his stuff and turns out plate after plate of fresh ozone goodness. The oysters were some of the best I've ever had as was the fish soup and moule. Today was the last day of our holiday so we were getting a proper fix of all the favourites. Can't recommend this fine establishment enough, lovely welcoming staff and delicious seafood. Don't think it's dear either you are getting hearty portions and total quality.

Restaurant
Nestled in the charming coastal town of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Restaurant Le Chasse Marée is a delightful culinary gem that has quickly made a name for itself since its opening in December 2017. With accolades from prestigious guides like Michelin and Gault Millau, this eatery offers an inviting atmosphere where guests can savor expertly crafted dishes. The menu features a selection of fresh seafood, including their renowned fish soup served with flavorful rouille and crispy croutons.
Visited this restaurant augustus 2018. This is a rather new restaurant since december 2017 and it has already nominations from Michelin and Gault Millau. Read further and you van understanding why... We've ordered an Americano aperitive, fish soup and a Turbo fish. The staff was friendly, quick and with a good knowledge of the different products they use. The fish soup was served with tastfull rouille, shredded cheese and freshly baked croutons. The soup itself was like it should be, you could really taste all different fishes used in this bouillon and with a nice seasoning. The cuisson of the turbo fish was amazing, together with the bio! (steamed all dente) vegetables served with smashed patatoes underneath. In short, don't doubt, just go eating here and enjoy!

This was a lovely, elegant, restaurant with stunning and innovative, yet classic food. The personnel was charming and the price was as expected. I would give it 5 stars but there was no music, and with rather quiet and respectable guests and an all-white, quite stark interior (except for the impressive collection of sailing pennants) my overall impression was that it lacked atmosphere. Also, the melted chocolate on my desert was overcooked and tasted dry and crumbly, which was a shame on the impeccable home-made chou pastry with bourbon vanilla ice cream. Having said that, I will definitely go again !
Allie D — Google review
Fantastic food. I went there with some friends in June 2015 and we had a delicious meal. The decor is nice and it's not bad value either. The staff (& owner) are very friendly and understood our poor French (they also spoke some English). The fish was incredibly fresh (as it should be given the location). Definitely recommended.
