Clamouse Cave is a large cave network that offers guided tours in multiple languages, including audio guides for tourists. The tour lasts about 75 minutes and provides an impressive experience, showcasing the ancient caverns. Visitors can also enjoy a zip-line course inside the cave and explore natural formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. Additionally, there are amenities like a snack bar, shop, and parking available nearby. It's recommended to make reservations online, especially during busy times.
An absolute must-visit place! There is easy parking close to the entrance. Bear in mind that you can only enter with a group, which goes in approximately every 1.5 hours, so it’s better to check with them in advance to avoid waiting. The entrance price for two is €31, which is quite fair considering how beautiful this place is and how long the tour lasts. It’s very humid inside and chilly all year round, with a temperature of around 16 degrees Celsius. Also, the floor and stairs can be wet and muddy in some places, so wear appropriate shoes and avoid long white trousers or dresses. All tours are primarily conducted in French. You can request some information in English, but it’s quite limited; the guide is not very enthusiastic about speaking English and provides minimal information. It’s best to prepare yourself in advance by watching some YouTube videos. You will have plenty of opportunities to take amazing pictures. However, avoid buying crystals in the local souvenir shop, as they are overpriced. If you find yourself in this region, don't miss the incredibly beautiful village of Saint Guilhem Le Désert, which is just a 5-minute drive from the caves.

I would definitely recommend a visit to this fabulous groto. It's absolutely amazing, the guide was fantastic

This was one of the coolest places we went on this vacation. The guided tour was fun even though I don't understand any French. The overall experience was a pleasant walk through cool caves. It was a great break from the summer sun.

Impressive natural cave with extraordinary insights and a well-guided tour. To me this experience was even outstanding against other caves I've visited in the same greater region, for three reasons: First, the cristalline structures (especially the argonites ignoring gravity by growing in 360° dimensions) seem to be quite unique and are breathtaking. Second, the overall information (including an atmospheric introductional cinematic movie and the audio guides) provide a decent scientific understanding, even for children of approx. 10 years and older. Third, the tour was guided by a sympathetic and highly committed guy. All in all a clearly lasting experience!
Byte W — Google review
Really nice caves. Not the prettiest one I have seen but impressive none the less. Be careful, it is quite a climb, lots of stairs. The guide was in French and she was very nice. They offer a qr-code that sends you to a website with translated tours as audio streams. Unfortunately they are useless since you can not play them without being a nuisance to others. Also....the data reception I side the cave is virtually not existing so even with headphones you really can not use this. I deducted a ⭐ for this. There are much better solutions for this problem like headless headsets or even apps which you can download. I think with the admission price of €15,50 per person I think I can expect something better for this problem. I speak a little french but my family really did not understand a word of the whole tour. So 2⭐ for the beauty of the cave and 1⭐ for the guide who was really nice, makes 3⭐
Eric N — Google review
Really spectacular caves enhanced by an excellent guide and awesome lighting. Lots to see and learn about the history of the caves and how all the incredible formations were created. Good value and a must see.

We did the little train vineyard tour, caves tour and wine tasting package and it was brilliant. Caves were fascinating. The guide is in French but they have an English audio tour on a QR code - bring your own headphones and smartphone to listen. Little train really quirky and the vineyard tour was beautiful, again didn't understand everything because my French is patchy but kids loved it. It does get hot take plenty of water. Wine tasting was brill but kids only get a tiny amount of grape juice so we bought some to cool them down. The couple who run the vineyard and tour were lovely and very knowledgeable. I'd say bring a little game for the kids if they're coming to the tasting because ours got restless, so you can enjoy the wines! I'd give this day out five stars it is one we will remember and we took some great photos in this beautiful place

Great experience, easy parking at the bottom of the entrance, clean toilets, nicely arranged waiting area with tables. The tour lasted around 1.5 hours. The guide was very enthusiastic and informative. We enjoyed our "cool" time in the cave to escape the hot sun. I recommend that you wear sturdy shoes and bring a sweater.

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
Le Pont du Diable, also known as the Devil's Bridge, is a historic structure located at the entrance of the Herault Gorges in Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert. This impressive 11th-century bridge spans 50 meters over the Herault River at a point known as 'gouffre noir.' Legend has it that the devil hindered its construction but later promised to build one of the strongest bridges in exchange for a servant's soul.
Amazing landscape, with an old Romain bridge and river. You have a small beach and people usually jumps from the bridge into the river
Janine M — Google review
Lovely bridge and views over Herault's Gorges on the outskirts of Saint-Guilhem's village. Overlooking as well the "beach" which can be crowdy ... As an entrance to the Hérault' Gorges, at a place called "gouffre noir" which mean black abyss, the old bridge, hanging on the steep banks, spans the river in its most tight point. Considered one of the oldest French medieval bridges, it was listed as World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO under the Chemin de Saint Jacques de Compostela in France. It was built between 1028 and 1031, by the two relatives of Aniane and Gellone, who jealously controlled the two banks of the river. 50 m long, it includes two main semicircular arches and two secondary openings, the gowns, intended to facilitate the flow of waters during flood period.

It's a stones floor, so bring something comfortable to relax on. They hire out canoes here, and that's fun. They young man who runs it is very helpful. There are ice creams and snacks at the top. There's a big car park.

What an amazing experience! We went in winter so we couldn’t swim or do any activities but I think in summer it is magical. The bridge offers beautiful views of the Hérault Gorges. I will be going back.

We were driving through France to Spain and wanted to stop off for a swim somewhere. Google suggested here so we took a little diversion and had a great time. We hired some kayaks, rowed up under the bridge and jumped off some small cliffs into the river under the bridge. So much fun and a beautiful spot to boot.

Amazingly beautiful gorge and swimming lake. Canoe hire 18euros per hour. Lake is crystal clear ans safe for children. Ample parking at about 8euro per day, plus free shuttle bus to St guilhem medieval village. Great day out.

Domaine des Grecaux

Winery
Nestled in the charming village of Saint Jean-de-Fos, Domaine des Grecaux has been captivating wine enthusiasts since its inaugural vintage in 1999. This picturesque estate is situated within the renowned Languedoc appellations, where it produces a delightful array of both red and white wines. Among these, the Arghan white wine stands out for its exceptional quality, while Hemera, one of their notable reds, truly shines when decanted to unleash its full bouquet of aromas.
(Translated by Google) The red and white wines from these two winemakers are excellent, even if I have a weakness for the white, “Arghan”. Hemera, one of the two red wines is remarkable, you just have to remember to open it and decant it a little before so that it reveals all these aromas... To try and repeat without too much moderation 😋! (Original) Les vins rouges et blanc de ces deux vignerons sont excellents, même si j ai un petit faible pour le blanc, «arghan». (Translated by Google) The winemaker who offers this experience is a true enthusiast and a pleasant person: he offers to take you to the Clamouse cave. We took the 10 a.m. departure and it was the ideal timing to visit the cave, the Devil's Bridge and the village of St Guilhem du Désert. At 5:30 p.m. he picks us up to continue the tour of his vineyards: on the agenda are concrete explanations, descriptions of the landscape and a little poetry: a timeless interlude which ends with the welcome of his wife for the tasting of their wines. I recommend it. (Original) Le vigneron qui propose cette expérience est un vrai passionné et une personne agréable : il vous propose de vous amener à la grotte de clamouse. I was first won over by her pottery, acquired during a stay in this magnificent region that she adopted. Since then, I never tire of admiring his work every day. Nestled in the heart of the city, Le Petit Bistrot is a charming spot that perfectly blends a relaxed atmosphere with delightful culinary offerings. Open from Monday to Saturday, it serves as an ideal destination for both dine-in and takeout meals. Guests can enjoy lunch during weekdays or savor dinner options in the evenings. The restaurant boasts a cozy ambiance that enhances your dining experience, whether you're indulging in their fantastic tuna dish or relishing a hearty burger paired with crispy fries.
We had a fine experience at this restaurant. The food was good, and the service was quick and attentive. This is a perfect spot for a quick evening meal. Our hotel had made a reservation for us in advance, and when we arrived, the table was already set. The ambiance is simple, but it actually adds to the relaxed atmosphere. During our dinner, it started to rain lightly, but the staff responded quickly and efficiently to make sure everyone could sit dry. This really shows their attentiveness and dedication to the guests. In short, a recommended place for a casual and tasty meal!

The velouté tastes like a pot of bad cream mixed with some vegetables I could not guess what they were, however the aspect does not give you any appetite. The magret de canard came as half a portion compared to the portion on the other table. Well, in the menu is advertised as +/-350g, although the portion was a generous 170g. Avoid if you are not a constant client.

Exquisite, top level entry, main, excellent cheeses and desert. Lovely local wine proposed by the chef's daughter. Simple family restaurant with Michelin worthy recipes! Friendly service. Should have a place like this near mine....

I really liked the vibe of the restaurant, but I’m giving 1 star due to the owner’s attitude. My 3-year-old was calmly playing with the small garden stones, and the owners reacted with visible disapproval and rudeness. It made us feel extremely unwelcome. They came and advised him not to touch to couple of things ( not to step the stairs ..) in the restaurants in first 10 minutes of time. Families with young children might want to avoid this place — it’s clearly not kid-friendly despite the setting. Food was just normal nothing exceptional..

Cirque de l'Infernet is a less-known but worthwhile destination, offering a moderate hiking loop of about 9.5km with a 552m altitude difference and lasting around 3 hours and 30 minutes. In addition, fines rain down if you haven't put in your ticket. Winery
Nestled at the foot of the Larzac, MAS CONSCIENCE is a charming vineyard that spans 10 hectares in a picturesque village known for its pottery and proximity to the Hérault River. This authentic terroir boasts preserved small plots where biodynamic practices flourish naturally. The estate features an impressive underground cellar, producing balanced wines with silky tannins and refreshing notes from the surrounding plateaus.
We were lucky to visit during pruning, normally a very busy time. Yet Jerome the main vintner gave us a tour of the cellar (minimalist) and a tasting. I preferred thier “easy drinking” white and red wines. Glad the region has a well deserved AOC. Visit now before the hordes of tourists arrive!

Restaurant Côté Cour offers a charming and rustic dining experience, with homemade dishes made from fresh, local ingredients. Whether you choose to dine in the old stone Mas de Vigneronne or in the courtyard under a magnificent plane tree, the welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for a delightful meal. The staff is known for their warm hospitality and impeccable service. The shaded terrace adds to the appeal, with friendly cats roaming around peacefully.
We went twice already this week. The food is delicious and the portions are generous for a very reasonable price. The staff is very kind and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

We visited this restaurant on a rare evening out, excited after reading so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite match the high expectations. While the atmosphere was nice and the staff friendly at first, we felt uncomfortable when we mentioned that our food was overcooked. Rather than addressing it with care, it felt like we were being a burden for simply wanting our meals done right. To add to that, the dessert we had been looking forward to was sold out—and so was the beer my husband ordered. We understand that things run out, but both instances were handled in a way that left us feeling more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests. It might have just been an off night, but for us, it was disappointing—especially for what was supposed to be a special evening. We expected more given the reviews.
Katja F — Google review
Delicious food and variety of choices; you can sit only outside so for sure it's a great place when the weather is nice. There are also kittens wandering around which makes it super cute, but when it comes to interiors/design it is not a very typical or a beautiful place - it has a specific vibe that maybe not everyone will be fans of. Staff speaks English, so they can translate everything from the menu (as there's no eng menu available).

This one is kind of difficult to rate. I would have given 3.5 if possible, but this is not an option. Everything started off quite nicely having turned up without a booking, thr waiter who welcomed us suggested to return 20 mins later and a table would be available. The restaurant is very small and only has a handful of tables set under a large canopy to keep the sun at bay. The setting itself is cute but I would say it is nothing out of the ordinary. After about 10 minutes wait we were finally handed some drinks menus (food menus are on the table) by one of the waitresses who was clearly not amused to be there. Anyhow we made our choice of drinks and food and waited... It was clearly difficult for the staff to keep up, but it was a pity not to have least been greeted with a carafe of water considering the heat and the wait. After about 20 minutes we finally managed to place our order, again without much of a smile. Drinks then turned up and were quite nice (mojito with season fruit). As for food we had made a selection of one of the menus at 21€ and when it came, the starter was very nice (perigord salad and an aubergine paté - dariole d'aubergines) . After finishing the starter we waited again and the funny thing was the waitress came around asking if we were ready to order deserts, to which I pointed out that we were still waiting for the main course. A little wait and no apology or smile later the main course came. This again was very nice although nothing special (chicken strips with a taragon sauce, chips and some very nice seasonal vegetables). After that we debated whether we would take a desert or not, but we decided to only take a coffee considering the slow service and the clear lack of enthusiasm. All in all food wise, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the place, everything is nicely prepared and the setting is pleasant and a but out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the town center. The major downside, and unfortunately a key element to any restaurant meal, is poor, unwelcoming service.

What a great little place to stop for a meal. Do make reservations. Especially on weekends.

The cutest little place, cosy and charming. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Food is to die for, from drinks to dessert. All made fresh. Kids enjoyed it as well as grown-up.

(Translated by Google) Super nice little restaurant Shaded terrace Super friendly staff. Homemade and delicious dishes Fast service for the crowds Simple and excellent menu Reasonable prices Don't hesitate to do so. Reservations are recommended during high season. If there are only two of you, you might be able to get a seat. They always find a solution. Even when the internet is down for payments 😊 (Original) Petit restaurant super sympa Terrasse ombragée Staff super sympa.

CocoYa Beach Restaurant - Bar - Cocktails - Tapas - Evènements in Aniane, Montpellier, Hérault offers a great atmosphere that has been maintained over the years. It's an ideal spot for both young and old, with the added bonus of Tahitian-style dance entertainment. The Sunday brunch is a hit for families with kids, offering a variety of dishes and a lively ambiance with live music and dances.
An amazing place! Sunday brunch was a success for our big family with kids. For 30€ per adult you get it all - 5 appetizers, wok dish, 5 dessert, soft and hot drink, buffet of cheese and a fiesta AMBIANCE with live music, dances and a sand playground for kids. Thanks a lot to a blond waitress for her attention and excellent service. Merci

Arrived at 18:20 with reservation, waited until 19 until we could order as the kitchen opens at 19:00. Entree arrived fast, kids got something to eat, then we waited until 21:00... The fish&chips arrived half frozen. We'll not come again. It's a breach club, the atmosphere is really nice, but we had glass shards under the table. The dish that needed to be gluten-free got an extra dose of fried onions...

Well, it was quite the experience. After leaving Clos De L'Amadaire, it was time to chow down. Quite trippy considering the beach theme and actual palm tree. Completely land locked tho! Kinda trippy 🦗
