Shopping
RioCan Georgian Mall is a spacious and well-lit shopping destination that houses popular retail chains, services, and casual dining options. Visitors are advised to check the mall's closing hours in advance, especially on weekends and holidays. The mall offers ample parking, cleanliness, and a variety of quality stores with friendly staff. Additionally, it features a small food court and unique attractions like bee hives with cameras for observation.
They do a good job of flexing with the changing retail landscape. The add of home sense in the empty big box store was great (although sucks it isn’t attached). The store selection is good and you can find most things you need. They’d do well with an Apple Store here. Parking fills quick on weekends and you really have to hunt for a spot. Great mall overall. (It would be smart to put some paper over the Bay doors so people aren’t seeing this depressing view)

A fantastic mall featuring a diverse range of stores. It’s quiet and offers a pleasant atmosphere, especially in the evenings, making it a delightful place to visit.
ABCD E — Google review
A clean and well-organized mid-sized mall. It’s easy to walk through, and there’s a decent variety of shops for everyday needs. Not too crowded, and parking is usually straightforward. Convenient if you’re nearby and looking to do some quick shopping or browse around.

This place is Dope! It has a vibe FYI. The variety of stores are exciting including the common ones. Overall, the experience here is indescribable! 🍻 🥂

Georgian Mall is a well-maintained and spacious shopping center with a good variety of stores. It has all the essentials like Sport Chek, Sephora, and several clothing and shoe retailers. The food court offers a decent selection of options, and there's plenty of seating.

I work in the mall and sometimes we have to contact guest services when issues come up. Every time Gaby has answered the call, she’s been incredibly helpful and goes above and beyond to assist. She’s always friendly, professional, and quick to resolve any problem. Her dedication and positive attitude make a big difference, and it’s truly appreciated. Thank you, Gaby, for your outstanding service!

Very clean mall. Went to Spec Saver and Indigo for great deals on books and glasses. Lots of families and parents and young adults shopping. A nice change from high school malls you find across the GTA.

The Bayfield Mall is a single-story enclosed shopping center that houses over 60 different stores, including a bowling alley and a supermarket. One of the hidden gems within this mall is Hakka Town, which offers authentic Hakka cuisine in a small takeout space. The food is always prepared fresh and made to order, with their Hakka chicken noodles being particularly delicious. They also serve outstanding Manchurian and chili chicken dishes.
Perfect mall to go with family, friends, or just by your self the stores are all wonderful and have something for everyone. Smiles you see on faces of other families is so wonderful, they have jewelry stores and claw machines, clothing stores for young, old, babies, in between ages, food court wonderful chooses, they have bath and body, hair salons for men and women, nail places, chocolate stores, banks, stores all, it is a really great mall to visit

Sad and empty Mall. This mall is closing in my recent visit (For good). For a person who lived in Barrie throughout my childhood, I'm going to miss this mall. There are only a few stores (Including the bowling alley I used to go as a child). Also, there are only a few people in this mall and perhaps all the stores are empty (Except for the bowling alley). This is more sad than the mall in Owen Sound (Which is where I moved to after living in Barrie for 8 years).
Dog D — Google review
2023 July 3★ The mall itself is ok. It's clean and has a few anchor stores that include the supermarket and a dollar store at time of writing. A lot of the smaller stores are closed and the foot traffic is few making this place this place feel empty. Though it's really not bad.

Makin big changes. Centra, awesome. Sir games a lot. Loved it.. now yoga.. and some new Ramen bowl place coming soon. I have no idea on opening date. But I am in line now.
Robert B — Google review
As someone who grew up in Barrie from 1993 and on, looking at the mall now versus like 2007 (15 years ago) it's honestly sad. It used to be our hangout for after school, whether it would be pool at the bowling alley, catching a movie at the Bayfield 7 cinemas, checking out Sir Games A Lot, and then getting a bite to eat at A&W or Subway, it was a great mall! Now, there's maybe 20% occupancy rate and there's only 1 restaurant (a jerk chicken place) and a DQ that's only open here and there. It's sad seeing what once was a very happening and busy mall turn to this depressing, dirty, empty and sad place. EDIT: just visited it again in August 2023, and the DQ is gone now too aswell as the Pharma Plus which was in this mall for at least 20 years. I wouldn't doubt that this mall closes down in the next 5 years.
Mr. G — Google review
Decent mall in north Barrie area. Has Centra supermarket for Asian food options, dollarama, Canadian Tire. It even has a Service Ontario that is open on Thursday’s till 7pm. Which is a very convenient alternative to office goer’s who want to drop by to service Ontario .

Bowling alley

Sports complex
Bowlerama Barrie offers a range of bowling activities for both young people and adults, featuring 5-pin and 10-pin lanes. The facility is well-maintained and in excellent condition, defying expectations of it being dilapidated. Even the provided footwear is in great shape. On busy days, such as Saturdays, the atmosphere remains manageable without becoming overwhelming. The staff appears to be amiable.
Pleasantly surprised when we stumbled on this place during March Break. Price was reasonable, staff was helpful, the glow in the dark and music created a nice atmosphere. Plenty of space for our group.
Deb C — Google review
Great time had by all. Great place to have a charity fundraiser or company team building.
Sarah T — Google review
Cool atmosphere typical alley food and drinks. Lanes are pretty shitty though for those looking for actual good bowling. Was put on lane 27 first….after you threw your first ball it would reset all the pins … we told staff who acknowledged the lanes are old and this happens…. Happened another 6 times before they moved us to lane 29….. every single ball we threw we had to hit the reset button to get it to record a score or reset the pins. The maintenance guy said it happens a lot here….. 2 stars because they discounted about 30 minutes off our hour to save face. It’s not practical to bowl here and we definitely spent more time waiting for staff to fix the lane.
Ryan S — Google review
Nice, clean fun. Friendly staff and a reasonable restaraunt. Daughter went there with friends for graduation party and it wasn't super expensive and they had a great time. Wayyyyy cheaper than rec room or whatever. They have 5 and 10 pin options and lots of lanes. Of course that amazing casino style carpet, i bet on rock and bowl, blacklight nights its a total blast.
David B — Google review
I just joined a 10-pin seniors' league today. Tom was welcoming. The whole league was welcoming. I was in desperate need of social interaction. And having an afternoon league is really good. I live in Alliston and I wouldn't want to drive at night in the winter. I'm glad I've chosen to resurrect this old hobby. It has been 20 years since I last bowled.
Graperonto — Google review
Very nice bowling alley, has both 5 and 10 pin. There are a lot of balls to choose from, which you don't normally see at a bowling alley (they had more than just house balls) Interior was lit up, not sure if its always like that but it was very pretty and had a neon retro vibe to it. Staff weren't overly friendly, but they weren't rude either (saw a few reviews talking about rude staff, wasn't a problem at all) For 3 people with rentals, we played 3 games in an hour and paid about $25 each total. Was a pretty good deal, will definitely be back.
JP — Google review
Great family friendly place. We went late afternoon and wasn't busy at at all but I imagine after dinner it would be. Clean lanes and washrooms. Very friendly staff and very helpful. I highly recommend this place for a place to take the family on an outing

Nestled in the heart of Barrie, Ontario, Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts. This local gem offers a vibrant setting and a unique selection of craft beers. Visitors can enjoy free tours with tastings and explore the small shop on-site. Known for their wild and eccentric beers, Flying Monkeys produces some of the most creatively designed cans in Ontario's brewery scene.
Great place to get craft beer! The place is colourful and their beers are as colourful! They host a free tour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) at 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, & 4 pm. Max of 8 people, first come, first served. We did that and it was good! It last for approx 45-1hr, and they talk about the history of flying monkeys and how to make a beer! We came back late at night to check the vibe and they have live performances. Staff are friendly, they have gender neutral washrooms.
April T — Google review
I went to this place for lunch and ordered a meat sandwich, but unfortunately, it was pretty disappointing. It sounded great on the menu, but it lacked flavor and didn’t live up to the description. The atmosphere also didn’t feel right for a relaxed lunch. The place is right by the street, so it’s very noisy, and there were several moments when people experiencing homelessness walked by asking for something. It made the experience a bit uncomfortable. I got the sense that it’s more of a nighttime spot, and to be fair, they do have a good selection of beers. Maybe it’s better to visit in the evening, but for lunch, it really didn’t hit the mark.
Monny G — Google review
This is the best brewery in Barrie. The venue is immaculate with the band posters on the roof and really just every inche of the place covered in something cool. Drinks are fantastic and food is delicious. If you are looking for breweries I would recommend stopping in!
Connor P — Google review
Flying Monkey is a visual treat to visit, the best looking place on that main street in Barrie! And not only that, they got some fine quality beverages for you to enjoy there OR take home. Now, they already had the best chocolate beer in the market with their Chocolate Manifesto, but they got a seasional chocolate stout sample box you can only really get there?!? I'm all in on that! Not a hard drinker? No worries. Their flavoured seltzers are rather nice too! Haven't had the chance to try the food, but there's always a happy looking crowed and a sweet patio there so i'm sure its pretty good. Cheers!
Shaggy S — Google review
First and foremost, I highly recommend doing their free weekend tours. The staff there are really nice, and knowledgeable about their drinks, including the process and factory. We explored the entire back door of the brewery and saw how their drinks and products are made, the history and some other near facts. The restaurant is pretty hip, their beers are packaged in very artistic and abstract Designs which are very eye catching. It's worth stopping by Flying Monkeys if you're visiting the Barrie area!
E G — Google review
What an amazing place but most importantly hell of a great beer. Atmosphere is uplifting, very colorful place and the live music was a hit. The pretzel was out of this world and the sausage board to die for. Good job Flying Monkeys 👏🏻💪🏻👍🏻
Angel C — Google review
It was more than a brewery but an experience!! You could stay for a week and still see something new. Great selection of beers for all tastes and I highly recommend the smashed burger. Best I’ve ever had!!
Jennifer B — Google review
I started with the Birdyard sandwich, which was absolutely delicious, and the fries were among my favourites—crispy and perfectly seasoned. However, I was quite disappointed with the tacos. The tortilla was unfortunately dry, tough, and had an off-putting smell, reminiscent of the kind served at the New former nightclub in Downtown Barrie. The combination of pickled ingredients, sweet jalapeños, and sour cream created a flavour profile that felt unbalanced to me—almost like baby reflux in taste and texture. That said, the service was excellent and the atmosphere vibrant and upbeat. Chef, please don’t take this the wrong way—fusion and street food can be incredible when the flavours are thoughtfully combined. I wish you the best of luck with your next creation and look forward to seeing how the menu evolves.

Arboretum Sunnidale Park, located in the heart of Barrie, Ontario, is a sprawling 48.6-acre outdoor haven featuring lush flower beds, pergolas, and an abundance of shade trees. The park offers various recreational activities such as walking trails spanning approximately five kilometers and a well-regarded playground known as Every Kids a Hero Inclusive Adventure. My family and few friends were on our way to north of Barrie, we have stopped here for a quick break. Very convenient. The park is very big. It has a children park free car park Wash room picnic tables and more. Place to walk around

Adore this park. The kids have a play area. The trails are nice, whether you choose you have short or longer ones or explore the depths of the forest. If you choose to venture inside you'll get a beautiful view of a stream with a bridge and a different feel of the park. The open areas, flower beds and variety of plants makes this park well worth it.
Smriti R — Google review
This park is great for both quiet moment as well as bringing your kids to explore some of the unique flowers, trees...sit around and relax. The park was quiet when I visited between 5:30 to 6:30pm est. Didn't get to explore all of it but it is pretty nice.
Dil B — Google review
Went here to take some wedding photos and it was a perfect backdrop. Really pretty area with a neat little shelter (which proved useful when it started to rain). Wasn't too busy the couple times we went on the weekend (once to scope out the park and the other to actually take the wedding photos). So people could space out nicely to relax, have a picnic or walk their dogs. I believe there's a dog park area in the vicinity too.

It was about a hour drive to the Arboretum. The weather was good. It was not very busy. Plenty parkings. The pavilion looked beautiful. The inter connected natural trails behind the Arboretum was sceneric. It is in the city limit, but very tranquil and peaceful. Liked the mouse and mushrooms sculpture.

Ample room to park and play at Sunnidale. Great place for kids, dogs and older people. Nice tracking area for runners, track includes uphill and jungle and small bridges to pass. For kids great playground included circuits and swings. High school kids come for botanical vast variety. Enjoy visitors

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Barrie, Bohemia is a beloved café that captures the essence of community and flavor. Known for its lively atmosphere, this charming spot offers an eclectic menu that caters to all palates, featuring everything from hearty breakfasts to scrumptious lunches.
Absolutely loved my visit to Bohemia Cafe! The cozy, vintage-inspired vibe immediately makes you feel at home. The decor is stunning, with a perfect blend of classic furniture and warm lighting that creates a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. The coffee was top-notch—smooth, rich, and beautifully presented with latte art. The selection of desserts was delightful; the chocolate cake was moist and decadent, and the cookie had just the right crunch. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay for hours, whether you’re catching up with friends or just unwinding with a book. Definitely coming back—this place is a hidden gem!

Beautiful cafe located downtown Barrie. I found this place magical. Great coffee, food, and views. I believe that you’ll be inspired when you come here. Excellent staff, friendly and kind. A great place to do work or read. An even better place to meet with a friend and chat…looking forward to coming back here.

Love the character of this cafe! They have limited coffee but they do it good. They serve cookies, cakes, biscuits and sandwiches. They sell plants, flowers both fresh and dried, seeds, plant care, and fertilizers, bees wax, cards and a bunch more things.
April T — Google review
Iced Americano was bold and smooth. The peanut butter cookie was ordinary, but the carrot cake was perfectly "not too sweet" and moist. The vegan focaccia was flavorful. Love the atmosphere of this place.
Stan — Google review
Right in the heart of downtown Barrie lays this gem of a coffee shop. Bohemia has a wide array of sweet treats and different types of drinks... Just enough to scratch any sort of itch you may have. Lots of seating within and outside the restaurant and one of the coolest upstair windows to sit at as well. A spot where you can always enjoy the view of the water, albeit, always a very busy spot to sit. Would highly recommend checking this place out!
Connor P — Google review
A Whimsical Morning Escape! I’ve been meaning to try Bohemia for the past couple of years, and I finally got around to it! I went earlier this week at 8:30 a.m. with a friend, and as soon as I stepped in, I immediately took in the interior—it felt whimsical. There were fairy lights on the stairs, plants everywhere, and little design choices that made it feel as if I was stepping into a world where fairies belong. It was so cute! I ordered the apple cider and an apple scone with caramel drizzled on top. The apple cider was delicious—it tasted like that classic winter comfort drink everyone loves. But it was the scone that truly blew me away. Normally, I’m not a fan of scones. However, this one was amazing! It was warm and moist, with apple slices and just the right amount of spices that made it so flavorful. The caramel added a lovely touch of sweetness. It was the first time I’ve ever truly enjoyed a scone. I would definitely recommend stopping by this café to liven up your mornings, or even just to sit, read, or chat with a friend.
Khushi P — Google review
what a cute little cafe! the coffee was amazing, freshly ground espresso and strong flavour which is so nice and refreshing the iced latte with an extra espresso was a 10/10 great flavour and perfect amount of ice the miso peanut butter coffee cookie was a unique combo but worked so well and was nice and chewy and fresh the vibe of the cafe was so cute and welcoming fresh flowers for a good price in there. unique flower bouquets that look like they are picked from a garden! so cute!
Meg V — Google review
A Barrie 7. A Toronto 3…. The 7 is out of kindness. The iced Americano was… fine, if your bar is “good, for Barrie.” Service was slow, but maybe that was part of the quirky atmosphere that’s clearly working overtime to distract from the “gritty chic” vibe of Value Village furniture and antique tableware nobody asked for. The apple tart came out cold, which I guess is their subtle way of saying “you’ll figure out how food should taste on your own.” Spoiler: warm would’ve been better. And let’s talk price; unless “overpriced disappointment” is a new aesthetic, this was way off. Forgettable, overpriced, and not worth pretending you “discovered” it.

Burger King is a well-known fast-food chain that offers grilled burgers, fries, and shakes. The restaurant has been in the news for launching a $5 value meal ahead of its competitors. Customers have praised the friendly staff and good food quality at various locations. While some have noted occasional issues with service, others highly recommend Burger King for its delicious Whopper and overall dining experience.
We had a great experience at the Burger King on Bayfield Street! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm smiles and friendly attitudes. It's clear they genuinely care about providing good service — they were polite, patient, and happy to help with anything. The restaurant was clean, the food came out fresh and hot, and everything was made just the way I ordered. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, making it a nice spot for a quick meal or a casual bite with friends or family. A special shoutout to the team working during our visit today — your positive energy made all the difference. We’ll definitely be coming back!
JEMMAYEL R — Google review
The second you walk in to this place you will feel depressed. The staff are over worked and 100% under appreciated, you can tell just by looking at their always miserable faces. It’s not their fault, they’re paid next to nothing and expected to go above n beyond. Not my issue, my issue is you get a 50/50 shot at your food being good. You’ll either have cold fries n hot burger, or vice versa. In my 1 year of coming here, not once have I ever seen them cook a burger to order - they just pull it out of a tray. Today, my burger was so cold the cheese didn’t melt…and does that look like extra onions to you?
Holmesey 2 — Google review
Just got home after paying for 2 burger and chicken fries and picked up at the drive thru and got home and see the chicken fries are missing. I'm not going to drive back 20 mins for this. Do better staff at BK Barrie - Bayfield drive.

Food is always done right, staff is a good mix of old school and young kids, good mix of energy. Restaurant is big and always clean. I wish they would pay better attention to the orders you put in from the app, sometimes you order and come in 15 minutes later and they haven't taken the ticket out of the machine. Overall, best fast-food dining experience in barrie by far.
Joe L — Google review
My experience at Burger King was really disappointing. When I was eating a Jr Chicken Burger, I found a sharp piece of plastic in the bun. It was a big surprise and also dangerous. It makes me wonder about how careful they are with their food. Finding something like that in your meal is not okay at all. I hope Burger King fixes this so it doesn't happen again. Right now, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending Burger King to anyone.
Derin K — Google review
We come to this Burger King often and haven’t had a problem until few nights ago when we when through the drive through there was a older gentleman who did in the end fix our problem with the order but his tone and body language about fixing was very rude telling us we ordered it wrong but I guess he could fix it etc. Even as we left we said we were sorry for the misunderstanding and he just stood at the window said nothing to as we left saying sorry. Not very welcoming and honestly quite rude. I’ve worked many fast food jobs you don’t treat a customer like that over a misunderstanding.
Dani C — Google review
I ordered off the app for the 1st time, intending to pickup. But I made a couple mistakes. I called this location 2 times and the manager (I believe), accommodated me. At the store, I went in and everyone was so friendly!! I was so happy with the service and will be coming back to this location!

Drake at the drive-thru was super friendly and really helpful, great attitude and service provided by him. Unfortunately the new cupholder trays are really bad, it broke and I lost my drinks on my previous order a few weeks back, but Drake had a great solution for me this time round! Great experience!

The tasting menu at the North was exquisite. The quality of each dish and presentation were top shelf. We had an amazing dining experience lasting over 3 hours. Here are all the dishes we had. Come hungry.

A hidden gem in downtown Barrie! We’ve dined at many local spots, but nothing compares to this elevated 7-course meat-forward tasting experience. Every dish was crafted with care and packed with flavour that truly wowed our taste buds. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and informative. Each course was explained in detail, adding to the overall experience. Highlights for us were the venison with risotto and the fragcois with cheese polenta—absolutely unforgettable. Portions were perfect—not too much, as we all left feeling satisfied. At just $100 per person, the value is incredible for the quality and experience. The dessert trio was a sweet finish (so good we forgot to take a photo): crème brûlée, a mini brownie, and banana cream pie—all familiar desserts, each with an elegant twist. One of the best parts? The menu changes, so there's always something new to discover. Plan for at least two hours—we stayed for three as a group of six and loved every minute. Hands down, one of the best intimate and upscale dining experiences in Simcoe County—perfect for date nights, special occasions, or a memorable evening with friends. So glad we found this place and we'll definately be back with anyone that wants an elevated dining experience without having to drive all the way downtown Toronto.

Polished Italian dishes that surprised us completely from the quiet beginning of walking into this hidden gem. Friendly and attentive service - we will definitely come back. Highly recommend the grilled calamari - the best I ever had!

Had an incredible girls night at The North! Our group of 3 ordered a bunch of appetizers to share with each other. Cocktails were delicious, our server was incredibly attentive and the food was fantastic. Will definitely be returning for the full dining experience again soon!

My new favorite place! The food was, without hesitation, the best dinner I have had in some time. The presentation of the dishes, the combination of ingredients and flavours along with generous portions made for an unforgettable food experience. The service was top notch and friendly along with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended!!!!

Absolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented—clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Lamb was a standout, and the creme brulee was the perfect ending to a flawless meal. Can’t wait to come back—this place is a true gem.

Nestled along Cundles Road in northern Barrie, AvocoBar is your go-to spot for feel-good fast food that doesn’t compromise on health. This vibrant eatery specializes in a delightful array of salads, wraps, and soups, all bursting with flavor and topped with creative ingredients. Their smoothies and refreshing beverages are perfect companions for a quick meal on the go or a cozy takeout option.
Maddie provided outstanding service at the salad bar! She was knowledgeable about the ingredients and helped me craft the perfect salad. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail made for a pleasant experience. Maddie went above and beyond, making sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely return thanks to her great service!

I was really excited to try AvocoBar because I had heard lovely things! However I was a tad disappointed. I paid extra for pickled jalapeños & I only found a small few in the salad, as well as the chipotle chicken. I had the cilantro lime salad & all of the ingredients were fresh! But I found the dressing had little to no flavour & they were light on the added extras. I ordered online which was prompt & wash to use, however, I don’t think I would return based on this experience.

Park Place shopping mall is a large retail center that houses renowned stores like Cabela's, Marshalls, and Best Buy, alongside casual eateries. The plaza boasts a diverse array of delectable cuisine ranging from quick-service fast food joints to more upscale sit-down restaurants. The assortment of shops is remarkable, encompassing both well-known chain retailers and charming independent boutiques.
I really like park place. It has a variety of stores that I use often. However, that's not really the main reason. I like PP because they don't hastle the people who park there to go to the colts games across the street. I love the Christmas display they put up with the giant tree, I get pictures there every year. There is never garbage in the parking lot and everything appears to be in good repair. I like the little park on the north end of the property, I like to eat my lunch there sometimes. Its usually easy to get into even when busy, just don't use the entrance from Mapleview. And now that Harvey rd is open, its easier than ever to get to.

Stupid idea for a city that gets freezing for a 1/3 of a year! Confusing parking lots, long cold windy walks between charmless box stores! Should have been a huge indoor mall with movie theatres, a skating rink, good restaurants and warm places to sit, with smaller and more unique stores. Modern and cool, not like Bayfield or Koslov. Think The West Edmonton Mall! Huge tourist attraction, great for a cold city! I don’t even know 3/4 of the stores there because I only go to the ones I like and don’t wander kilometres exploring. Horribly stupid place. UPDATE: pics 1 + 2 are West Edmonton Mall, what Park Place could have been a smaller example of. Pics 3 - 5 are the actual lameness of this property. But don’t worry, management hopes I’ll like the changes next time I visit! Looking forward to a large roof, underground parking and interesting stores where the huge, cold parking lot used to be! HA!

If you're on the hunt for a one-stop shop for all your electronic needs, look no further than Best Buy. This popular chain retailer boasts an impressive selection of brand-name electronics, computers, appliances, and much more. Customers rave about their experiences at Best Buy, often highlighting the exceptional service provided by knowledgeable staff members. For instance, one shopper shared how an employee named Mack went above and beyond to help his father navigate new phone plans with patience and clarity.
I had help from DJ, he was great and did everything he could to help me deal with issues regarding Rogers. He was kind and understanding, he did a great job problem solving for me. I appreciate him as well as Mack and Ashley who had helped me back in the beginning of July with the same issue. I hope Best Buy treats their employees well because they have good staff and I know many customers aren’t so great in the way they treat them.

I had a very bad personal experience with this store. I made a purchase on December 29th. I bought an iPad because I needed it for my classes, which start on January 5th. The salesman assured me that despite the holiday, it would arrive on the 3rd. Even so, I told him that it would be fine if it arrived by the 5th. I went to the store on the 5th and it hadn't arrived, there was no delivery forecast in the system, so PEDRO asked me to buy it again, because there was an iPad of the same type available in the store. I thought that was so dishonest. Why would I have to buy again something that I was waiting for in the store and that had already passed the deadline they offered? If there was one just like it in the store, what's the problem with delivering it to me and solving the problem, since my iPad would be delivered to the store and could go back into stock (there's no conflict management for that?) Another point is that I left with no response, no date of arrival and only a huge purchase on my card that they wouldn't even let me cancel so that I could then buy what was available at the time. In short, they didn't deliver, they didn't cancel the purchase and they even asked me to buy another one. A store focused only on money and not on the customer experience. Don't buy anything there. Along with my iPad, I bought a computer that cost over a thousand dollars. I'll definitely return it when it arrives. Best buy Barrie never again.

Never ordering through this store again. After recently purchasing a soundbar at the barrie location. I decided to upgrade my TV a few days ago. Was an in-store sale on a hisense u8n for 999 dollars. I was informed there was no stock and I would have to order one. Two days later it showed up in the most damaged box I've ever seen. Bottom corners ripped out and packing foam was broken. The options given were to accept that TV or order another through the same delivery service, purolator. They said there was only one left at there depot but couldn't guarantee the shape it arrived in. No deals or offers were given on another brand or equivalent TV. After being left standing there to decide by the manager, my wife asked for a refund and the manager stormed off because the TV was refused. We ended up buying the same TV from the brick for the same price.

Train your staff Best Buy. 2 experiences of staff giving wrong or misleading information within a month. Bought a large tv that I was assured "100%," by staff I would be able to cast, or mirror, as well as it being compatible with one particular app. After mounting it, I found I couldn't do any of that. Later bought dishwasher with install and carry away services. Led to believe it would be all done same day, only to find out it's a 3 day process. Drop off, install, then removal. Would be fine, but had to call 2x myself when told pick up would be Friday or Saturday, someone will be in touch. Today Friday, still heard nothing about when they are coming. Poor communication. This should have all been handled in store at time of purchase. Delivery guys and installer were great. Received phone call at 4pm the day they were to pick up, to be told pick up will be Tuesday, sometime. ANOTHER DAY waiting around.

In September 2024, I bought an Insignia top loading washer from Best Buy in Barrie. This past August it began to leak water onto the floor during the rinse cycle. If you buy an Insignia product, I strongly recommend you to purchase the Protect Plan they offer as you will need it. You'll need it because your average appliance repair guy will not be able to get the parts to fix your machine. Because it was still within the year, I had to find someone to come get this washer and physically bring it back to the store. To Best Buy's credit, they refunded me the purchase price and I bought an Amana top loader instead. Amana is made by Inglis and is fixable. Whirlpool and Maytag are also good choices.

We purchased a $1320.00 samsung TV, less then 7 months ago, the TV screen is burning its self out. The store won't do anything for us, good figure, great customer srvice and assistance. Samsung says there going to send a tech out, no real schedule. The one year warranty should cover replacement since it's a manufacturing issue. I am very disappointed with the result of this and will no longer purchase anything from this location or possible any best buy period. I will definitely by looking at other brands. I will be letting everyone know.

Trying to call to get information on a refrigerator and the very heavy accented lady on the phone couldnt give me any information i needed. She just kept repeating the same thing over and over instead of answering my questions, she also stated several times she doesnt get calls like theses ( no idea what that had to do with anything) she wouldnt transfer me to the store i needed, and was very unhelpful. Absolutely disappointing. How do you guys expect to sell your stuff to people if you cant answering a few questions and wont let me speak to the actual store i want to visit to ask information before wasting my gas money??? Best buy is going down hill 0 stars for calling about information

Bought the basic room package. Room was clean and stocked when we arrived. We were allowed to access the room a few minutes early to set up for the birthday party. Staff was courteous and attentive. There seemed to be plenty of staff on the floor ready to step in if needed. This is our 3rd or 4th party here and I can say the same for our previous visits. We’ll be booking again in the future as boys love the trampoline courses, and we enjoy the quiet afternoon we’ll get because they are wiped out.

Good place for kids to have fun. Employees in the jumping area are engaging and promote activities for the kids. But... it's Thursday evening (almost 8pm) and the music is impossibly loud. There are almost no people and the volume of the music makes it impossible to even think. Given that you are here as an adult waiting for your kid to finish the turn, this is not a comfortable place right now. Music is not generally si loud when place is packed, so this is a decision made for the day. Video for reference, not sure if you can notoce the loudness though.

Service is horrible, no care for costumer satisfaction at all. Worst was they advertise that they sell slice pizza combo with a pop, when I tried to order 2 combo, they said they don’t have and I would have to order the whole large pizza, I said fine let’s do that, “oh yah there’s an 8 dollars delivery fee on top” what the hell!? take off that sign that u guys offer to sell pizza if u guys are just going to make us pay the delivery fee to get it. Oh my gosh! Eva (I hope i spelled that right) was a wonderful host. Food was hot and drinks were cold. All my party kids and their parents had such a lovely time. It was clean and organized. Not only did the birthday boy and his brother have fun but their 15 month old sister had such a blast. Also cutest little socks. Some of the arcade games weren't working properly but little kids had no idea they weren't "actually playing". All in all. This was a great bday adventure for our family and we will probably come back for the next party.

Been going there for years and never once had to make the kids wait to play after paying and when I talked to the supervisor on shift , she says its been a thing for a while then when I tell her we come here every couple months and never heard that , she says ok maybe this year? She cant lock down a time its started and ive been coming since it opend . It is printed on a small paper ar the cash but thats not the point ..in all the years of going there . Not once has it been enforced and have my kids had to sit and wait for 15 min to go play after paying and its not an insurance thing like they say . The building had maybe 30 peoplein it ...Penny pinching at it finest just like the rest of this country . I wouldn't be surprised if its closed down soon if its that hard up for 15 min of play time 🤣🤷 After reading all the other lower reviews in the past month ..we all collectively agree that something has changed either ownership or they are trying more and more to gouge us for money like everywhere else

Restaurant
The Farmhouse Restaurant is a charming eatery located in one of Barrie's most historic buildings, offering a cozy atmosphere and Canadian cuisine. Situated next to the Allandale Railway Station with picturesque views of Kempenfelt Bay, it provides multiple dining rooms and outdoor patios for guests to enjoy their meals. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it suitable for various occasions such as family gatherings or romantic dates.
My fiancé and I brought our dog here and dined in for the 1st time on Sat. July 5th, 2025 after discovering that the Farmhouse is dog friendly (patio only). I called about 30 mins. prior to our arrival and was politely advised by the Hostess that we were unable to book a reservation since the outdoor patio area is a first-come first-served basis (which was totally fine). When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and seated promptly at around 6:30 pm. Our female server was also so sweet and brought a bowl of water for our dog right away. We ended up ordering the cheesy crab and lobster dip and bruschetta for our appetizers and I was genuinely impressed that they used real fresh crab and lobster for the dip. The crab and lobster did NOT taste frozen, rubbery or watery whatsoever and the tomatoes and herbs from the bruschetta were also fragrant and a delight to eat. For our mains, my fiancé ordered the 'Randy Bo Bandy Burger' and I ordered the '8 oz Beer & Bacon Glazed Pork Loin.' I loved the glaze and the subtle taste of beer from my pork loin. The only reason why I'm giving 4 out 5 stars for food was because my pork loin was dry. Other than that, we still loved and enjoyed our meals. Pricing seemed fair to us and the hospitality/service and overall ambience were noticeably efficient, friendly, clean, and inviting. 😊

My wife and I went to Barrie and went to St. Mary's Parish which was part of the Pilgrimage Doors. We live in Toronto, so before heading back we agreed on having lunch first since is was already around 1:00 PM and second it was just so hot that day that we want pass the time so don't need to travel under heat. We came across The Farmhouse as we were on our way to the 400. It was a very attractive place. You wont miss it. There is ample parking. We were welcomed in and escorted to our seats. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The food was great. Farm fresh.

The Farmhouse is our go-to in Barrie for honest, local comfort food. The rustic, cozy space feels like home, and the friendly service keeps things easy. Plates come out hearty and well-seasoned—think crispy fried chicken, stacked burgers, creamy mac, and great daily soups—plus fresh salads and sides that don’t feel like an afterthought. We love the nods to local producers and the relaxed waterfront vibe (sunset dinners are extra nice). Cocktails are solid, local beers are cold, and portions are generous without being over the top. If you’re craving warm hospitality and classic flavours done right, The Farmhouse delivers.

During a recent visit to Barrie, I had the pleasure of dining at Farmhouse upon the recommendation of a friend. I opted for the chicken avocado sandwich, while my friend chose the Cobb salad. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! We also took full advantage of happy hour and enjoyed some fantastic Caesars. The service was excellent, making the experience even more memorable. I can’t wait to return next time I’m in the area!

Took a date here and had an amazing experience, both the food and the staff were fantastic! We started with the cauliflower bites, which were a great appetizer. For mains, we each got our own salad. She went with the Romaine, which leaned more toward a Caesar vibe, but either way, it was delicious. I had the Southern Shrimp (pictured first). While it only came with three shrimp, which felt a bit light, the flavors were absolutely on point. Our server was attentive throughout—checking in often and helping us out with takeout boxes at the end. I don’t have a photo of the receipt like I usually do, but the total came to just over $70 before tip.

Today was the start of Barrie Localicious where local restaurants offer a price fixed menu for a 3 course meal. Having visted here many times over the past few years it was a no brainer to come back. Started off with a Heatwave. (Malibu, lime juice, ginger syrup, pineapple juice and then an shot of Fireball) This was a very light refreshing drink. For my appetizer, Cheesy Crab and Lobster Dip with grilled pita, garlic bread and homemade potato chips. What's not to love about crab and lobster? Word of caution, when it comes to your table, the dip is very hot! My main, I decided to upside to the 16oz Grilled AAA ribsteak with a side of the seasonal vegetable which was corn on the cob with melted butter. I ordered the steak medium rare. It was very well prepared and had a both salty and smoky flavor. It had a lovely caramelized crust on the exterior with the right amount of fat. The interior was pink and juicy while the meat fibers were tender and had a lovely chew. To finish of the evening, the dessert was warm apple crisp topped off a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzled of caramel . One thing that I noticed was the size of the portions. Having supported other local restaurants during past Localicious events, the portion sizes are a bit smaller. The whole idea is to support your local restaurants and when you try a dish, it makes you want to come back for more. I commented to our server Lindsay that these were regular sized portions. She said yes, that they are one of the few restaurant in Barrie who do this. This was a great experience! The food was amazing and topped off with great customer service by Lindsay. Thank you to The Farmhouse for a wonderful evening!

Very nice restaurant. Very cozy and warm feel. Our server was the best, very attentive and accommodating with onion and garlic allergies. The shrimp salad was awesome. Ceasar drink was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Went as part of a large group and sat at the patio outside. Everyone got their correct orders (even with dietary restrictions) and the food and drinks were delicious! I got the pulled pork grilled cheese. Fast and friendly service. Would go again.

The Canadian Brewhouse in Barrie is a vibrant sports bar and grill that captures the essence of Canada with its unique decor and lively atmosphere. As you approach, you're greeted by a striking Inukshuk, setting the tone for an experience filled with Canadian charm. The extensive menu features a variety of appetizers, entrees, and drinks, complemented by enticing nightly specials that cater to all tastes. This bustling venue is perfect for those seeking hearty meals amidst laughter and camaraderie.
This was hands down the best experience we’ve had in over three years of coming to the Barrie location. We came to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and decided to treat ourselves to the 40oz steaks — and it was worth every bite. Our server, Erika, was absolutely phenomenal. She was incredibly attentive, genuinely friendly, and took the time to answer all of our questions and make sure we felt completely taken care of. Before we could even blink, Manager Rob was right there with our drinks — we waited maybe two minutes tops for drinks and water, which set the tone for the rest of the night. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and every detail of the evening felt seamless. Thanks to Erika and Rob, this location has truly stepped it up a notch and now delivers an experience on par with a five-star steakhouse. An amazing night we won’t forget — and it was all thanks to their exceptional service!

This patio is stunning 🤩 We went here for a birthday lunch and I was taken back by how big and beautiful the patio was! The draft is served in a perfectly chilled glass and their daily deals are quite affordable. We were thrown off by the service a bit… ordered one thing and received something else so we had to eat our meals separately which throws things off when you’re in a time crunch. Nonetheless we did receive a slight discount for the troubles! I’d recommend this spot for sure. We’ll be back very soon!

A Must-Visit Gem in Barrie! Dining at The Canadian Brewhouse (Barrie) was an absolute delight from start to finish. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and welcoming, with its cheeky Canadian-themed décor and vibrant energy that instantly makes you feel at home. Our waitress was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, checking in at just the right moments to ensure everything was perfect. The food? Outstanding. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented, making it clear that quality and care are top priorities here. And let’s talk about the cutlery—truly one-of-a-kind! It’s a small detail, but it adds a unique charm that sets this place apart. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Canadian Brewhouse (Barrie) is a must-try destination that delivers on every front. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great food, stellar service, and a memorable dining experience in the Barrie area.

It was alright. The food was fine, I got the taco salad and my wife got the prime rib. My salad was alright, nothing special. The prime rib did not look great. She asked for medium and received an oddly thin piece of well done with a huge piece of fat that was probably 2 of the 8 ounces that she ordered. Service wasn't the greatest. We sat for 10 minutes before they took our drink order. Took another 15 minutes or so after they took our plates for them to bring the bill. The atmosphere was cool, it's basically a sports bar with a lot of beers on tap. Lots of TVs, somewhat loud but pretty spaced out.

The Canadian Brewhouse (Barrie) – A Surprisingly Amazing Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We decided to swing by The Canadian Brewhouse in Barrie for a casual dinner and walked away incredibly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was super welcoming, fun, and energetic. The decor is fantastic — you can spend your whole visit looking around at all the cool signs, sports gear, and quirky touches that give this place its unique character. It really sets the tone for a lively, feel-good meal. And then there’s the food — wow! Every dish exceeded our expectations. We kicked things off with the spinach dip, which was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. For mains, we went for their spicy southwest burger and the signature wrap. Both were loaded with flavor, cooked just right, and served hot and fresh. Generous portions, too — you will not leave hungry! Service was also a big highlight. Our waitress, Erika, was absolutely awesome — friendly, efficient, and clearly on top of her game. She answered our questions with a smile, kept our drinks topped up, and our food came out fast even though the restaurant was pretty busy. Overall, between the tasty food, top-notch service, and super fun atmosphere, The Canadian Brewhouse was a real win for us. It’s the kind of place you can come back to again and again and always have a good time. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great food and a great time!

We are new in the neighborhood and we were looking for a patio, to grab some drinks and snacks. We saw a great patio with yellow 🟡 umbrellas and we decided to give a chance. The host welcome us and I saw an advertising from their own website rewards program. If you sign in you can get garlic sticks for free. Shia was our lovely waitress. She told us all her specials we decided to go for blue Belgium that she recomend, and she brought the garlic sticks. OMG 😱 the plate is huge , we were just 2 people this is perfect for 2 couples. Good flavors, the sauce is warm I appreciate that. Sadly after that and the beer 🍺 we were super full hahhaha Shia told us all the fun activities they have during the week. Wings for 69c, bingo music and life music Friday night. We are going to be coming back frequently. Thanks Shia for your kind time explaining us everything.

I’ve ordered from here on Door Dash many times. They usually forget an item. On September 13th I ordered the fish and chips and chocolate dessert. Only the chocolate dessert arrived. The delivery driver said that’s all they gave him. That was a bummer because the fish is so good. Although last time the fish was burnt and shouldn’t have been served to anyone. Besides that they often forget an item such as my fries. Maybe it’s different when you dine in? Food is very very good though

We visited Canadian Brewhouse last Friday because the menu advertised many gluten-free options, and two of my friends have gluten allergies — one with severe celiac disease. Unfortunately, we discovered that none of the menu items labeled “GF” were actually safe for someone with celiac disease. One of the items even contained barley, which is a source of gluten. This is not only misleading, but potentially dangerous for customers who are newly diagnosed or unaware of the cross-contamination risks. Our waitress was kind and I understand she tried to help by consulting the chef. However, my friend still felt judged by the questions asked and left feeling uncomfortable and upset. Despite voicing concerns about safety and even considering leaving, we were assured the food would be safe. The chef recommended tater tots and jalapeño poppers as safe options. When the food arrived, it was brought out by a different server who was unaware of the allergy details and served the food to the wrong person. This is a major concern, as the original waitress who knew about the allergy should have ensured that the food was served correctly. My meal, which contained croutons, was mistakenly given to my gluten allergy friend — and if I hadn’t noticed in time, she could have been seriously harmed. And my other friend with celiac and severe gluten allergy even after being reassured multiple times that her food was safe still ended up being glutened and was sick for days. As a side note, the Smash Burger is the only burger without a GF label, yet we were told by the chef it was one of the only burgers safe to eat as gluten-free option— which adds to the confusion. I’m sharing this not to criticize the servers personally, but to highlight a serious safety issue that needs urgent attention. Food allergy labeling should be accurate, staff communication consistent, and procedures in place to avoid potentially life-threatening mistakes. Otherwise we liked the atmosphere and live performance. The hockey stick and golf club utensils were awesome. Unfortunately the patio was closed.

McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution celebrated for its iconic burgers and crispy fries. During my recent visit, I decided to try the buffalo chicken poutine, which turned out to be an oversight in my order. However, the staff promptly addressed the issue with remarkable efficiency. The manager's kindness and professionalism truly stood out, making my experience even more enjoyable. It's always refreshing to encounter such excellent customer service!
Ordered a buffalo chicken poutine, the over was a mistake but the team fixed it right away. The manager was amazing — incredibly nice and professional. Really appreciated the great customer service. Thank you, guys, and enjoy your summer!

I strongly do not recommend! Today I was in your restaurant, and absolutely all the employees prepare burgers and all the food without gloves! They touch your cheese, your cutlet, etc. with their bare hands! Maybe in India it is customary to cook and eat without utensils, but in Canada people do not want to eat what you touched with dirty hands!!! If it were possible, I would give a zero star rating!!! It would be good to close you!!

Absolutely disgusting, I watch the manager walk around touching a bunch of unsanitary things, To then go start making food without gloves or washing his hands. Then once asked about it, denied the fact that I watched him not wash his hands before dealing with food. Also they couldn’t make what I wanted and when I asked if they could substitute, all they would give me was something is a refund or hash brown to make up for it.

Tried to go through drive through Sunday August 31st around 12pm and the lady taking the order through drive through could barely speak English and didn’t understand my order. So someone else came to speak and took so long I left the drive through. What a very sad mess. Usually simple, quick, friendly and easy.

We had a disappointing experience at the drive-thru on May 26th at around 12:34 AM. The staff member on duty told us he couldn’t serve us but didn’t provide any explanation. He said the same thing to every car in line, and everyone had to reverse and leave. We would have understood if a clear reason had been given, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
Hiru W — Google review
I'm pretty disappointed. It took over 15 minutes for a small fry and a tea. Same with just a small lemonade. The staff were friendly. But the bathrooms were not cleaned along with most of the tables. The fries were not warm, and the lemonade was watered down. At least there are a lot of seating options. Files and hair were everywhere for some reason. But it is a chain restaurant although it could have been much better.

Thank you for ruining the evening, at first they forgot to put the sauce, and then they poured it on like pigs, it was as if someone had already eaten the burger before us. I wrote a complaint on your website about your other branch, but you ignore how we were deceived.

Shit service. Your entire drive thru is out of commision, half your self serve kiosks are down yet you can barely keep one person on the register. Can't comment on the food as i never got anything, person who finally came back decided to let 2 other people cut infront of me so i left.

Restaurant
Spoon & Fork in Barrie is a culinary gem that invites diners to embark on an exciting journey through Asian flavors, seamlessly merging traditional recipes with modern twists. The extensive menu boasts an array of dishes, including sushi, Thai curries, and Chinese stir-fries, all made from the freshest ingredients available. The restaurant's warm ambiance and attentive service make it ideal for both casual meals and special celebrations.
The staff was very polite, helpful and recommended items they liked as well. The seafood was fresh and everything was well flavoured. The overall atmosphere was fantastic. Would absolutely go back!

Spoon and Fork was a pretty decent AYCE restaurant. The service was fast and the servers were friendly. The place was clean and tidy, and had lots of seating. We were highly satisfied with their fried food, specifically their tempuras and scallops. Their bok choy was cooked well and had a delicate flavour of garlic. Their skewers were good. The beef and chicken dishes were tender and juicy. Our favourite was the garlic butter shrimp and the torched salmon sushi. However, the sushi rice was too dense and overly sticky. The siu mai was disappointing because the wrap was a bit dry. The sashimi cuts were also disappointing. They weren’t as firm as we hoped they would be. We also had dessert afterwards. The creme brulee was too sweet but they had a nice selection of ice cream flavours.

Amazing experience! I stopped by for some sushi, and it was great! Great service, quality and atmosphere. The servers were very good, always making sure everything was going well. The sushi was amazing quality and came fast!. 10/10 would recommend. A must experience place if in Barrie.

Save your money — a frozen grocery sushi box at home would feel more respectful. Once upon a time, I gave this place 5 stars. Clearly, I must have been half-asleep. At this so-called “all you can eat,” ordering food feels like breaking the law. The manager swoops in right away with a “friendly reminder” not to order too much or I’ll get charged extra. Ah yes, nothing says welcome like being threatened the moment you sit down. Desserts? Absolute joke. Ice cream freezer wide open, no signs, no instructions, so I helped myself — only to be scolded by another manager. Fantastic. Apparently, customers here are expected to magically know desserts require some wrinkled paper menu and manual ordering. Newsflash: we’re diners, not fortune tellers. Service was so uninspired I honestly wanted to leave zero tip. Out of pure generosity (or stupidity), I left 10% because one server at least managed the basics. Food? Bland. Service? Miserable. Atmosphere? Forgettable. Barrie has tons of sushi spots — and after today, this one is firmly at the bottom. If negative stars were possible, this would be a proud -5. The only thing ‘all you can eat’ here is disappointment.
Kian W — Google review
We love coming Spoon & Fork for AYCE! Just came back from Scandinave Spa and were super hungry—this spot totally hit the spot. The fish was really fresh, and the portion sizes were perfect (didn’t feel overwhelming at all). The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and our server was amazing—so attentive and friendly! I think her name was Sheng (sorry if I got it wrong 😅), but she really made the experience great. Definitely a go-to spot if you’re craving AYCE in Barrie. We’ll be coming back for sure!
Mireille C — Google review
FOOD: I usually don’t expect high quality sushi from AYCE. I try to keep my expectations realistic since I know dining at AYCE often means quality comes at a sacrifice of quantity. But the sushi, maki, hand rolls here were either haphazardly put together and with too much rice for the amount of fish. The noodle soup broth tasted awful and the “chicken” cutlet topping was clearly a frozen chicken strip one would get from the grocery frozen section. The sashimi was so flavourless and bland that even the watered down soy sauce couldn’t save it. The skewers and grilled meats were dry and chewy. The only food that was enjoyable was the Thai fried rice (which is saying a lot since I normally would not eat fried rice at a sushi AYCE). For $41.99 for weekend dinner; it was not good value for money. I’ve had excellent AYCE sushi for the same price - so it’s not the price it’s simply the quality of the food at this establishment. The food also took quite a while to arrive at the table. SERVICE: service was adequate, they weren’t outright rude but it wasn’t exemplary either. The food was often just haphazardly dropped off the table and servers in casual street clothing while the others were in uniform distracted from the ambiance of the restaurant. ATMOSPHERE: Nothing ruins a dining experience than paper table toppers. You normally would only see this as dimsum places where you’re not paying $41 per person to eat a meal. It shows that the establishment can’t be bothered to clean tables between diners but just switch out paper liners.
Anna B — Google review
The food came very fresh and great qualities. The manager gave us great advices such as not ordering to much to enusre the food is top quality and heated The staffs were kind and respectfull when explaining how AYCE works for my frist time here. Overall this an amazing place to visit for people who likes shushi and Japanses food. We will definitely be back

Restaurant
Nestled in Barrie, The Keg Steakhouse + Bar is a delightful blend of casual elegance and culinary excellence. This popular chain restaurant specializes in classic steak and seafood dishes, making it a go-to destination for food lovers. Guests can indulge in expertly prepared steaks, including aged beef sirloin and prime rib, alongside an array of delectable seafood options like lobster tail. The inviting atmosphere is perfect for any occasion—whether you're celebrating a special milestone or enjoying a cozy dinner with loved ones.
We visited this location for the first time on Dec. 31, 2024 and it is safe to say that this was the best Keg I've been to so far. Food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed. Ordered Prime Rib with a side of potatoes, and since we were also celebrating a birthday we ended up with a piece of the Billy Miner Pie. For anyone who hasn't tried either, both come highly recommended! Other dishes from other visits include the Wedge Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, the Calamari, and the Baseball Sirloin.

We visited this restaurant during the week and didn’t need a reservation. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, which set a great tone for the evening. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and beautifully designed. The burger was absolutely delicious, and the steak—just as expected—was nothing short of excellent. In my opinion, this place could easily be one of the top choices among high-end eateries. Don’t hesitate to give it a try!

We had the pleasure of Jordyn serving us. She's an amazing person and wonderful server. The food both Prime Rib and Honey Glazed Salmon were perfect, and I can't recommend enough the Pineapple Upside-down cake for Dessert!

A truly refined dining experience at The Keg in Barrie. From the moment we arrived, the service and execution set the stage for an excellent evening. I always start with an Old Fashioned, a cocktail that often serves as my litmus test for a well-run bar. It was expertly crafted—smooth, balanced, and rich in flavor, setting the tone for what followed. For appetizers, we sampled a selection, but the shrimp cocktail stood out. The shrimp were perfectly cooked—plump, tender, and fresh—paired with a dipping sauce that delivered just the right balance of tang and depth. For mains, our party of four opted for a range of selections. I chose the steak and lobster, a classic indulgence. The steak, ordered medium, arrived precisely to temperature, with a beautifully seared crust and a tender, flavorful center. The lobster tail was equally impressive—not overcooked, not chewy, but delicate and naturally sweet, an indicator of its freshness. Others at the table enjoyed the salmon and twin lobster tails, both prepared with the same level of attention to quality and execution. Service elevated the experience further. Rebecca, our server, was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring our needs were met with seamless hospitality. Rayan, the manager, was equally gracious, making sure everything ran smoothly and warmly welcoming us. Overall, The Keg in Barrie delivered on every front—culinary execution, service, and ambiance. A standout experience, and certainly a place I’ll be returning to.

My recent dining experience at The Keg was truly delightful. I ordered the prime rib with their signature Keg fries, and I must say, it was cooked to absolute perfection. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was just right.
Mathew J — Google review
I recently dined at The Keg, and while the experience wasn’t terrible, it didn’t quite live up to expectations either. The ambiance was nice and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which set a good tone at first. The staff was friendly, but service felt a bit inconsistent—there were long gaps between visits to the table, and it took a while to get our drinks and food. As for the meal itself, it was decent but nothing particularly memorable. The steak was cooked close to how I asked, but lacked seasoning, and the sides were just okay. For the price point, I was hoping for something a bit more refined or flavorful.
Andrew — Google review
We had a fantastic evening at The Keg. Greeting at the door started things well, very welcoming and friendly. We were seated almost immediately. Our meal itself was excellently cooked, I had the filet and my wife had the sirloin. Both cooked perfectly and beautiful. Service was pretty good. We will be back.

My best friend and I recently dined at The Keg to celebrate her birthday, and I felt compelled to share what was, without question, the best service I have ever received at this restaurant. From the moment we were seated, our server, Nicole R, was simply phenomenal. She was incredibly personable, warm, and attentive, setting a fantastic mood for our celebratory evening. It’s rare to encounter service that feels so genuinely invested in ensuring a great time, but Nicole nailed it. What truly stood out was Nicole's diligence and attention to my friend’s dairy allergy. Navigating allergies while dining out can often be stressful, but Nicole handled it with professional expertise and care. She proactively went through the menu, offered safe alternatives, and made sure every dish was prepared exactly as needed, allowing my friend to relax and enjoy her special meal without worry. This level of detail, combined with her friendly demeanor, elevated our birthday celebration tremendously. Thank you, Nicole, for providing such an outstanding and safe dining experience. We will absolutely be asking for your section on our next visit!
