Shopping mall
Shopping
Lansdowne Place is a shopping center in Peterborough that houses more than 75 retailers. The mall has a two-tier layout, a food court, and a play area for children. It offers basic items as well as specialty goods for those who are interested. Getting to the mall is easy as it has plenty of parking spaces and can be accessed via Lansdowne avenue. There's even a secret pathway that leads to Costco if you want to avoid traffic after visiting the center.
Lansdown mall features a variety of stores, including popular brands like Old Navy and H&M, making it a solid choice for shopping. The food court is notably clean and offers a decent selection, contributing to a pleasant dining experience.
Ammu K — Google review
For the only mall in Lindsay, it's pretty decent. They have some really good stores. All you need, really. But there are a lot of stores that see maybe 5 people a day. They definitely shouldn't be in there. Overall a decent Mall
Derek D — Google review
Good walking mall, with big skylights. Not the best food, but the dining area has a fireplace and comfy chairs. There's a rental place where you can get big stuffy to ride on the upper level. Clean bathrooms. Wheelchair accessible, with one small elevator.
April R — Google review
Decent little 2 story mall, has practically all you need. For a smaller place like Peterborough it's really cool to have a mall that's pretty essential for times like Christmas, black Friday, and for personal shopping with a lot of trendy stores. Has kiosks throughout as well for odds and ends like cell phone accessories and beauty/personal care along with food places and more. All in all it's a good experience due to the fact that it's never really hectic...
Nik V — Google review
Went to the mall to go Christmas shopping and I saw a few cool new stores that sell homemade crafts which is really neat. I wish there were more handicapped parking spaces as the are not nearly enough and far away from the entrance. It would be nice to add 1 or 2 more handicap spots per row which would really help those with disabilities like myself make shopping more accessible. The back doors by the food court do have lots of parking however which is a bonus.
Jacob C — Google review
I come from a bigger city, but this is a cute little mall. It has a great selection and a very nice food court. Wheelchair accessible. The elevator is a little small though.
Jen M — Google review
The best mall in town.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ From shopping to food stalls u name it u have it all.🍕🌮🫔🥃 Everything is nicely maintained.😊 From security to washrooms everything is cleaned daily and the staff is really polite.🔐 Many beautiful stores like H&M, body by baths and many more u have it all at one place.🍻 A great place to chill out with friends and family members.😎 The mall design is really simple and u get most of the daily needs items too.🎉 Its on a great location (mid of town Peterborough)👆🏻. A must visit for everyone ❤️

During my recent visit to the Walmart Supercentre, I was on a mission to find a life jacket for my daughter. Initially, I encountered some challenges with staff availability; one employee was new and another seemed preoccupied. However, amidst this, I met an incredible associate named Tina. She was not only efficient but also knowledgeable about the store's layout, guiding me effortlessly to what I needed.
We just recently started ordering online for delivery due to unfortunate circumstances. We decided after much thought, to order produce from them, but we were hesitant that they wouldn't pick properly. But we decided to give them a chance, and order one iceberg lettuce. If I could give this location a MINUS, I would!! The WHOLE Lettuce was infested with SO many bugs!! I get it, 1 or 2 or even 3 is ok, but this was in the high double digits for sure! We took lots of pictures and contacted Walmart, and even did their survey. This was over a month ago, and we still haven't received a response! We have now contacted them not once or twice, but three times! And still no one has reached out to us as we requested. We will NEVER order produce again from them! I even said on their survey, that if they aren't going to take this seriously, then stop sending them out and wasting everyone's time. Yeah, never again. This Walmart location is not keeping up with proper protocols.
Elizabeth L — Google review
If I could rate this walmart with no stars, I most certainly would! Fresh blueberries were covered in white mold, I told a lady who was working in that department and she just walked away like I was bothering her, on my way out I noticed that they were still in the same place as before and she was no where to be seen. Only lunch meat they have is bologna and Lunchables. Asked an employee where I could find something and he couldn't speak English. Terrible store
Rob W — Google review
I had a horrible experience at this Walmart. I went to buy Gala Apples which were listed on sale for $1.24 per pound. When I went to the self checkout, the kiosk tried to charge me $6.55 per kg which is almost TRIPLE the listed cost. I brought this up to the staff and they tried to argue saying this was the correct price, which it is not. I tried to explain the conversion and verified the listed price but they were unable to sell me the apples for the correct value. I asked for the manager and they still were unable to correct the price. Even worse, while she was checking the price of the apples, she dropped my apple on the floor and proceeded to continue to try to sell that apple to me! There was no care for food safety at all. Absolutely disappointed with the service here.
Becky D — Google review
Not the most amazing Walmart (limited selection, employees lie about when your order is ready for pickup, etc). The one good thing is they seem to always have a special on chocolate milk. There never seems to be any baskets at the front. The bread section can function as a good meeting spot for friends and family. Meat and vegetables are expensive here, Mario’s Vienna sausages are usually only 97 cents though.
Maxim T — Google review
This store has a good selection. There are NO CARTS to shop with. The picture I have attached shows carts outside, but there are none inside. Four separate times in the past two weeks at 6-8pm, there were carts outside and none inside. I did complain, each time. Nothing changed! The Chemong Store never has an issue. Ill leave on a positive note, this store has friendly staff, and they do have stock of most items. ***UPDATE*** Apparently staff read reviews! Lately the cart situation has been rectified. They do line carts up outside, but NOW they make sure there are carts inside first!! Great job Walmart staff! Again I will state they do have a good selection, and staff have always been friendly and will guide you to whatever you are looking for.

This Walmart is very dated. Slow customer service
Kar K — Google review
Terrible Customer Service for electronic returns like Xbox controllers. Return within 14 days or return it to the manufacturer. What a ridiculous business model. Don't buy any gaming hardware merchandise from any Walmart unless you don't mind waiting weeks for a faulty controller or system when it's defective.
Mark L — Google review
Store never has grocery items in stock and has a very limited collection. The Walmart on Chemong Rd has much more items and is a better store. Although this store does have some good deals on clearance items from time to time which is why I come here.

The Publican House Brewery & Pub is a popular spot in Peterborough, housed in a historic 170-year-old building. Originally opened as a brewery in 2008, it quickly expanded due to its popularity and is now run by Brad and Katie Watt. The restaurant has become an institution in the city's culinary scene. The founders' passion and vision brought this establishment to life, making it one of the best dining spots in Peterborough.
I've come a few times with friends because it has such a good vibe. Great little outdoor patio in the summer and plenty of indoor seating throughout the year. My friends and I always get a flight with our meal as you can sample a few different beers. There's something for everyone! As a plus, this is more of an upscale pub I've been to. Food is a tad more expensive but everything I have tried to date is delicious. Definitely recommend the Cuban egg rolls and fungi pizza!
Olivia W — Google review
We went here for lunch. Pizza and cheese dip were great. The beer and service was good. They didn't have wings unfortunately. The place is a nice place to hangout.

Good place to eat. Nice patio. Cauliflower bites and Grilled Calamari over pineapple slaw.. so good! My friend said the Funghi pizza was one of the favourite pizzas she's ever had. Wood fired and light and crispy. Gluten free options !
Sandy C — Google review
Hosted an event in the upstairs space at Publican for about 60 people. We had guests from out of town who were raving about the food - the portions, quality and taste were top notch. A huge thank you to Andre the manager and his entire team. He worked with us to create a perfect menu and guest experience. The food was actually incredible, right down to the dessert (yummy cheesecake) and accommodating our party members who were gluten free too. We are so glad we chose Publican to host our event and would highly recommend it to anyone!
Zachary Z — Google review
I had the pleasure of attending two different events at the Publican House. One was in the morning with coffee and pastries provided while the other was in the evening serving beverages and appetizers. The food is very tasty and there is a variety to choose from. The bars are both gorgeous and the bartenders are excellent. Shout out to Josh! He made Lavender Mojitos that were pretty and refreshing! The patio is a wonderful hideaway on a busy street that you don’t notice. The entire restaurant is beautifully decorated too. Amazing atmosphere for any event. The brewery is next door and offers beer for purchase
Laura M — Google review
We went for the first time on the weekend and I was blown away by this restaurant. The atmosphere is two-fold: a friendly yet rustic-chic bar area when you first walk in, and then a cozy back area to dine at the tables. The kitchen is partially open giving you access to see the large wood oven where they make the pizzas fresh. The menu was great! Lots of options but not overwhelming. We ordered two appetizers: the dip trio and the Cuban egg rolls. The portion size is amazing and just the apps alone were phenomenal (I’ve never had Cuban rolls like this). We ordered the Nashville Hot Backdoor with a Moroccan salad (best choice) and the Brussel Sprout Steak Salad and it was literally likely the best dishes I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The Moroccan salad alone was so flavourful, not packed with a ton of different random ingredients so you could truly enjoy the flavours, sauce, etc. My sandwich felt like it was 4lbs and my husbands steak salad was crazy good and amazing portion size!! Our server Magda was so sweet and friendly, and made the experience all that much better. Honestly if you’ve never been to this restaurant this is your sign to do so. Will be back again (and again)!
Riley A — Google review
The atmosphere is fantastic, an upscale Brewery pub yet down-to-earth, so you don't need to be overdressed. We enjoyed a flight of 4 in-house draft beers that were excellent. Loved the Hazelnut Coffee Stout. The cheese dip was a new experience with pickles and hot peppers. Buffalo chicken pizza was addictive. Both dishes complimented the draft perfectly. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. All in all this is going to be our new date night pub.
Justin M — Google review
This was a big surprise for us. We were looking for a patio that allow dogs. Not only does their lower patio allow dogs, but the server brought out a water bowl for our pup as well as water for us. The food was fantastic. Our son got the kids cheese pizza, which was a very generous size. My husband and daughter got the burger, and they said it was one of the best burgers they’ve had in a while. I got the shrimp tacos and a side beet garden salad. This was delicious! Because it is also a brewery, their beer selection was wide and varied. We got their beer that gives back to a local animal shelter. I would highly recommend this place!

Nature & Parks
Del Crary Park in Peterborough is a beloved gem that hosts free concerts during the summer, bringing families and friends together. The park offers beautiful and romantic scenery, making it suitable for winter activities like sliding on the river. While it's important to be cautious due to some safety concerns, visiting in the morning is recommended. The Wednesday Concert series is a popular event, but visitors can also enjoy the Lighthouse restaurant and observe nature while having a picnic or practicing yoga with loved ones.
Gorgeous waterfront park that hosts the Peterborough Musicfest! There are two bathrooms available (one below the Lighthouse Restaurant and one beside the Peterborough Art Gallery). The Little Lake fountain is an attraction to view during the day however, watching the lights flicker through the fountain is even more stunning. There is a municipal parking lot available and the Liftlock Cruise Boat is available for a small fee.
Laura M — Google review
A Quiet Getaway, Del Crazy Park is a pleasant spot for a leisurely stroll or picnic, but it may not be the most exciting destination for those seeking thrilling activities. The park offers a peaceful atmosphere with green space. One of the highlights of the park is the lift lock cruise, but it may not be as thrilling as some visitors might expect. The cruise offers a unique perspective on the local waterways, but the pace is relatively slow.
Parviz G — Google review
Nice park. There will be concerts in the area. There is a liftlock cruise nearby where we can go with reservations. There is parking available nearby. There is a paid parking lot on weekdays and free on weekends.
Athira A — Google review
Great park to walk around and enjoy Little Lake. The towering fountain is also an enjoyable detail. Though it is unfortunate that they had to dismantle the concert stage.

We participated in CIBC Run for the cure and it was a great event as always. We had our company team join to help raise donations and to give back to the community. It was great to see so many people participate after a few years of the void. Park was very clean and event staff/volunteers did a great job running the event.

The Peterborough Lift Lock, a remarkable feature of the Trent-Severn Waterway, stands as a testament to modern engineering prowess. This impressive hydraulic boat lift elevates vessels by an astonishing 65 feet, making it the highest of its kind globally. Completed in 1904 and designed by Richard Birdsall Rogers, this National Historic Site offers visitors a glimpse into the ingenuity of early 20th-century engineering.
It's a good place to understand how a lock works and learn Canadian history. Good for family, students and tourists. The scenery around the lock is also beautiful, especially in fall, wothy to spend some time walking around and enjoying a picnic. The visitor center nearby will closed in fall and winter. when it open, you can use the washroom inside and learn more about the hydraulic locks. See the beautiful pictures I took in fall 2019

Fascinating piece of Canadian engineering and history. Watching the boats pass through the lock system is both relaxing and impressive. The area is well-maintained, perfect for a peaceful stop, picnic, or short walk. A great spot to learn about how the waterways connect Ontario's lakes and rivers.

I recently visited the Peterborough Lift Lock, and it was a fascinating experience. The surrounding park is perfect for a picnic, and the nearby visitor center offers informative exhibits and a short film about the Trent-Severn Waterway. Climbing the stairs to the top provides a panoramic view of the area, making it a must-see spot for anyone in the region

A beautiful structure and fun place to be at the annual paddle and lock event in July! Would come again but maybe in a canoe or a comfortable kayak (not a playboat kr white water kayak) as you may be sitting in this for 3-4 hours (specifically for the paddle lock event) depending on crowd sizes and line ups to get up and down the lock!

Really cool place to see but the visitor center was closed when we arrived. The scale of the lift is not obvious until you are up close. You can walk to the lock and go up the stairs to see it from the top. All in all, with the history of has, worth the visit.

Pizza Pizza is a renowned pizzeria that offers a wide range of delectable pizza options. This well-established eatery, known for its savory and mouthwatering pies, provides an extensive menu filled with various choices to satisfy every craving. With an array of flavorsome toppings and carefully crafted dough, customers can indulge in a diverse selection of pizzas tailored to their preferences.
I visited Pizza Pizza today at 6:30 pm, and the pizza was absolutely delicious! The crust was fresh, toppings were generous, and everything was perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely come again. Great experience overall!

I had the worst experience at pizza pizza today. We were greeted with an eyeroll by both the girls working as we came at 8.30 on Christmas Eve. And then the pizza provided was not cooked completely as you can see in the picture below, as we told her that it’s not cooked properly, she said that she can put it in the oven again but it won’t make any difference. And then when we were taking it back she said that my name is Manpreet and you can put it in your review.🙃 it’s not like haven’t had the same pizza before from the same pizza pizza to see the difference. Yes, we came in at 8.30 pm but it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be served nicely. It was not just bad, it was heartbreaking
Nishtha S — Google review
I ordered a pizza through Uber Eats around 9:30 PM, and the experience was disappointing. The pizza was not tasty at all and lacking flavor. On top of that, they didn’t even provide the dipping sauce I ordered. The slices weren’t properly cut, making it difficult to eat, and the whole thing was a messy disaster. Overall, very poor quality and not worth the money.
Gurneet S — Google review
Good and maintained very well. Great solute to that girl who work in night. Serving with excellent customer service like Subway’s at hunter street . Fresh quality of food like subway. I think they both are doing a great job.

Received text at 4:37pm that delivery was on its way. Follow tracker and it initially stated that it was less than 3 minutes away. After about 5-8 minutes later, the tracker then said it was 12 minutes away. I ordered from the George St location and I’m in East City. My food and beverages were finally delivered at 5:08 pm. The food was warm but not hot. The pizza box was almost saturated from the beverages sitting on top of the box

Restaurant
The Keg Steakhouse + Bar in Peterborough offers a stylish yet casual dining experience with classic steak and seafood dishes. The restaurant has a good bar, ample parking, and a great wine selection. While some guests had mixed experiences with their meals, the overall service was praised. One guest found the food better than expected but was slightly disappointed with one dish, while another enjoyed their meal despite a change in menu options. The manager's attention to dietary needs was appreciated by one diner.
I enjoyed the Keg this evening for the first time in 6 years. It’s not that I don’t want to go. I absolutely do however, I just haven’t had an opportunity. My friend suggested the Keg and I was excited! We had reservations which were easy to amend and got a spot on the patio. Today felt like 35 degrees so we asked to switch to a table inside instead. The hostess was happy to accommodate. She got us a beautiful seat overlooking the bar area that was perfect! Christine was an excellent server and has worked for the Keg for 9 years. I appreciated how fun and personable she was. She offered great recommendations, checked in on our drinks and food. Thank you for your service this evening! The food was hot, delicious and was exactly what I wanted to enjoy. We had ordered a bit too much but was offered boxes and a bag to take home. Now we both have lunches for tomorrow!
Laura M — Google review
Not all Keg’s are alike. This one has the same chef for over 16 years and has experienced the art of cooking a fine steak and prime rib. John our waiter was simply outstanding and like the chef has mastered customer service and knows the fine balance of interpersonal customer support. Well done John and Chef. The food as stated is five stars. Yes, pricey but worth the visit on special occasions or bi-annually or whey suits your economic situation. The only concern, is like other Keg’s, it is so darn dark when originally entering.
Dr. C — Google review
Our server was awesome..forgot her name..but she was very sweet, attentive and helpful. Food was great as usual! Drinks were refreshing!
Scene I — Google review
Always enjoy The Keg and last night was no exception. We sat in the patio as it was a very nice evening. Emily was great and service as always was very good. My wife had the salmon and enjoyed it immensely. I chose the braised rib option from the feature venue and it was fair/good compared to other restaurants. It certainly wasn't terrible but I have had far better. We will definitely go back to The Keg.
Terry J — Google review
Love this location, atmosphere is lovely, staff is very nice. The bartender Nick was great. The lobster bisque tasted fantastic but made me ragingly sick after. If you order ask how fresh it is. Otherwise would recommend. Would love if they were open for lunch.

Always love the Keg, this was no exception. Make sure you make a reservation. We seated right away. I feel bad that I can't recall our servers name. He was great. Very funny, attentive and great suggestions. Food arrived fast and was delicious. We will definately be returning.

All of the times I have been there were good experiences. The food is good as well with the presentation of the dishes. I highly recommend their calamari, pistachio salmon, and their crème Brûlée.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Keg in Peterborough, Ontario last night, and I want to give a special shout-out to my server, Jean Paul. From the moment I sat down, he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly well-spoken. His service was truly impeccable — attentive without being overbearing, and always professional. The food was fantastic, but what really made the experience stand out was Jean Paul’s personable nature and genuine care. I also noticed he treated other guests with the same level of kindness and attention. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly enjoys their job and does it so well. Thank you, Jean Paul, for making my evening so enjoyable!

Two Dishes Cookshop is a cozy neighborhood eatery known for its generous portions of innovative breakfast and lunch fare, as well as artisanal baked treats. The quality of their food remains consistently high, featuring carefully selected ingredients and creative flavors that complement each dish on their ever-changing menu. Visitors praise the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere, while highlighting standout items like the exceptional salad.
Two Dishes Cookshop, Peterborough, Ontario. Food service innovation moving forward living under Covid-19. Our 1st order from their Meat And Three Menu. Graciously packed deconstructed for home reheating/plating. We did sharesies to sample a wide selection of the sides available. On a future visit will explore the menu further & steal away someplace local to enjoy mobile dining (a nearby lock or park). The aromas on our way home were intoxicating. Shrimp Étouffée w/ 3 sides - jalapeno cheddar cornbread - shop salad, smoked ham hock greens, hush puppies Buttermilk Fried Chicken w/ 3 sides - buttermilk biscuit - Mac & cheese, green bean & bacon casserole, tater tots Everything is very tasty, southern soul food inspired cuisine. Couldn't resist adding a couple of their spectacular desserts, for later indulgence. Berry fritters & cranberry white chocolate blondies.

Happy to have stumbled upon this place. Cute spot with a chill vibe, staff were super friendly and helpful. The salad was probably one of the best salads I’ve ever had in my life. They say you don’t make friends with salad, you’ll make all the friends with this one. I was super excited to try the donuts but was a bit underwhelmed, maybe the flavours just weren’t for me that day. Visually your expectations are set very high but the fritters I found quite greasy. I will certainly try again however, their selection just looked too good not to and between the food and the staff it was still totally a win.

Amazing breakfast and brunch joint serving up dishes that are both massive in size and flavour. Apparently their menu rotates depending on what is in season, but everything on the menu looks great anyways. I ordered the cheddar and bacon stuffed french toast with chorizo gravy and an egg on top. The flavours we're sooo good and the chozio grazy was amazing. The prices here are fair condsidering the portion sizes. Most dishes can easily feed two people. The place itself is quite small so there can be a bit of a wait, but it is most definitely worth it.

Horrible service. Puts out the forks and knives in a pile in front of us. I had to set our table. I asked what type of bread they had. "I don't know, whatever they baked today". Brought us coffee, no spoons. I had to ask. They HAD NO MORE SPOONS. This place wasn't even packed and they had no spoons for all their tables. So after I asked, she gave me a soup spoon. A soup spoon. Lol. Why are there not enough standard spoons? Anyways, the food was presented wonderfully, very beautiful. But underneath all the food was burnt peas and potato bits. Disappointing. The "mystery" bread was horrible, soggy, and weird, couldn't tell what ir was, and what about allergies? If the staff can't tell you ahead of time what type of bread it is, who is to say someone doesn't have a serious allergy to the ingredients? The potatos tasted like greasy pancakes. The eggs however were good, like my farm eggs. The coffee was too dark and had a burnt flavour.. Basically avoid this place if you value service and quality, because you won't find it here! Also, the prices are crazy for the service and lack of quality in the food we received. I have attached a picture of my receipt. That was for 2 orders of whatever the heck we picked at!

Share a dish!! Because they are big but very very tasty. The staff itself was also very nice, and the place is very cute and niche in style but a bit small. The staff was very nice and knowledgable, and the food, even more amazing. Definitely check it out!

Food was amazing! Fresh! I had the ham and brie sandwich special and was dissapointed I couldn't eat it all! I was too full. Generous portions. Will return. Wait staff friendly and attentive.
Jane C — Google review
The taste was good, the cooking consistency was laughable. I got the Cinnamon Bun French Toast. The one picture with the cross section is how a properly cooked piece should look. The other is a horribly undercooked piece, the flavour was incredible but chewing through raw dough was not ideal. Service: our server sat us and got us coffee and that was the last we saw of her, another sever took over and was very friendly. Took our order and delivered our meal. We did not receive any more communication since delivery, no checking up, no refills on coffee. Nothing. Maybe it was an off day in both the kitchen and front of house. Who knows. Will probably not visit again.
Chance S — Google review
Highly recommend the desserts. Takes a while to pay your bill though! Went recently for brunch on Sunday! Amazing. Would recommend going 20 minutes before opening to avoid a wait. No reservations on weekends. Meals were flavorful and delicious. I see they have improved on my original comment of slow bill payment, they were quick!

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's is a classic fast-food establishment that has stood the test of time, renowned for its iconic burgers and fries. Many patrons appreciate the consistently hot and freshly cooked fries, making it a go-to spot even for those with dietary restrictions. This particular location shines with its efficient service and cleanliness, creating an inviting atmosphere. The cheerful staff adds to the experience; one customer even highlighted Sophia D., who made their visit memorable with her friendly demeanor.
Often places app orders from this store, and the service is very quick! Sometimes it takes less than a minute to get it delivered to the table. It's definitely a go-to McD for a quick bite or drink.
Kevin K — Google review
Food is quite good at this one, but the employees could be a little bit nicer when processing coupons. I think the automated ordering system should be fixed as there is usually one kiosk which is out of order. The parking lot is usually busy but the drive through moves fast. It is clean and the sun shines in on the tables in the morning, making your hash-browns glisten. Good location in terms of proximity to the highway and to other fast food joints.
Maxim T — Google review
Visit this store Sept. 17 on our road trip. We ordered 2 coffees and a muffin. All that got served quickly was drive through, customers waited extremely long time and when order was taken for such a small order the wait was horrible. As I waited the owner came in and immediately made sure we were served. Fully staffed that I could see and not busy. Will remember this location and not in a good way.
Karen K — Google review
Inside service is very very slow since they prioritize the drive-thru. It's very frustrating waiting and waiting for your meal when you watch other people who've come after you get served before you. Also, the place is really overly air-conditioned making it very uncomfortable for families to enjoy a meal. The tables are never clean so you have to ask for someone to come and wipe them. Good luck with that. There are lots of other eateries very close to this McDonald's I would go elsewhere and never return to this site
Genine N — Google review
I am incredibly grateful for the kind service, warm welcome, and genuine care I received from Esshu and her team. Despite how busy this McDonald's location is, it’s impressively clean and well-managed. The team works together so efficiently. This was a first for me—and I’m from Toronto! Thank you so much.
Mary A — Google review
A very busy place. Clean too. I have to say that even though it was busy it really looked like the employees were hustling to get the orders out. Good to see this. Way better than the shuffling of feet at a slow pace to do the same thing that I've seen at other locations across Ontario. Good Job people.👍👍

Nobody's perfect, mistakes do happen, and can happen everywhere. It's the way you can handle the situation is what really matters. Yes, a patty was missing from my big rosti, it happens. The restaurant manager noticed I looked surprised and made it right, to my complete satisfaction. Thanks for doing such a great job and keeping customers happy.
Andy W — Google review
Wow... not sure what is wrong with their drink machine but yikes! Went through the drive thru to get drinks after picking up a pizza for the road... The coke-zero was undrinkable. Tasted like cream-soda if someone had used champagne as the base... my kids said their fruitopia tasted weird. But I was already on the 115 by the time it was a complaint.

Day 2

East side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the east side side of town. Start the day off with Riverview Park & Zoo, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to St Veronus Cafe and Tap Room. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Riverview Park & Zoo, located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, is a beloved destination for families and nature enthusiasts. This year-round attraction offers free admission and showcases over 45 species of animals, including Emu, Wallaby, Two-Toed Sloth, and River Otter. The park features a diverse playground with a splash pad and a frisbee golf course. Visitors can also enjoy a mini-train ride through the scenic surroundings.
Great spot for families, but plan ahead for the train ride! Riverview Park & Zoo is a hidden gem for families! The best part? Free admission and parking, which makes it a super budget-friendly day out. The zoo is small but well-kept, featuring over 40 species including monkeys, otters, camels, and meerkats. Perfect for younger kids who won’t get tired walking too far. There’s also a huge playground, splash pad, picnic areas, and scenic riverside trails. The grounds are very clean and shady—great for hot days. Definitely pack a lunch though, as there’s no working concession stand on-site as of 2025. **A heads-up: on weekends, the line for the miniature train can be 1.5 to 2 hours long, even if you already have tickets. Tickets are only $2 per person but often sell out by 4 PM, even though the train is advertised to run until 6 PM. So if the train is a must-do, buy your tickets early and expect a bit of a wait.** Overall it’s a great place to spend a few hours with kids. Just plan ahead and come early—especially if you want that train ride!
Priyanka S — Google review
The park is amazing for a day out with family. The kids play area has different sections for different age groups. The splash pad is also very nice for the kids to enjoy. The zoo area is great with a lot of animals to see. I had never seen a sloth before. The parking and zoo are free here. They do accept donations though. All in all a great place to see a lot of things and relax in the park.
Parteek B — Google review
I really enjoyed my visit to the Peterborough Zoo. It’s such a nice place to spend a few hours, and the best part is that it’s free to enter. The zoo is not huge, but it has a really good variety of animals, and everything is well looked after. The enclosures are clean, and you can tell the staff care about the animals. My favorite part was watching the monkeys and the big cats – they were so fun to see up close. The walking paths are easy to follow, and there’s plenty of space to just relax and enjoy nature. It’s also a great place for kids, with the playground and picnic areas making it feel more like a family park than just a zoo. Parking was easy, and the whole place felt safe and welcoming. Overall, it’s a hidden gem in Peterborough and definitely worth visiting.

Riverview Park and Zoo is such a great spot, and the best part is that it’s completely free! The zoo itself is pretty good with a nice variety of animals, but what really stood out for us were the kids’ play areas. They’re awesome — lots of space to run around and different structures to explore. My 3-year-old especially loved the long slide, which quickly became the highlight of our visit. It’s a perfect family outing spot with a good mix of animals, green space, and fun for the kids. Definitely worth checking out!
Franck M — Google review
This is a great spot to take the younger kids. Our 4yr old grandson enjoyed the animals and then a little play time in the park. They do have a splash zone area as well. There is no fee to enter and enjoy all it had to offer. A couple public washroom areas however the line up were a turn off. One suggestion if I could offer is to have the screening windows cleaned maybe more often throughout the day. We really had no contact with staff . You are basically on your own . I do recommend it for the kids as it gives plenty of options to entertain them!

Nice park and zoo in Peterborough. Perfect place to bring your kids and family. There are kids play area, water splash pad, zoo and ample parking. Lots of picnic tables as well if you plan to have lunch or dinner after some exciting moment with your kids. This park also has a free zoo with lot of animals to see. Kids will love it for sure. Donation to the park is appreciated as they have to maintain everything for free. The park and every place was maintained very well. Everything was clean. The splash pad water was not too cold which was good and convenient for the kids. There is a parking and access area towards the river but the parking was closed when we visited. Overall very pleased and definitely recommended.
Satyam R — Google review
Wow, this place is small but so many animals to see. Plus, there is a train ride. That ride was closed today but we will make sure to go again, the following year. And the animals are so cute. There's otters, camals, sloths, llamas, ducks, snakes, just to name a few. There's a splash pad, play area for the kids, not too much walking. Plenty of pinic areas. The size is really good. Will go again.
Cedric — Google review
Such a wonderful place for families! The splash pad, playground, and zoo are all free to enjoy thanks to the generosity of donors and the community. It’s rare to find a place like this where you can see animals, let the kids play, and enjoy a relaxing picnic—all without an entrance fee. The park is clean, well-maintained, and full of shade for a summer day. We’re so grateful for the donations and support that keep this place running. It’s a true gem in Peterborough. Highly recommend visiting and, if you’re able, consider making a donation to help keep it free for everyone.

Overall a nice dinner experience with a group of 6. Service is efficient and friendly. Great selection of craft beers and nice wine choices too. Calamari app was just ok. Lamb burger excellent and a nice side salad. Karma 3.0 made with shrimp was delicious. 2 orders of this at the table! Pizza of the day also great.

We tried this place because of Google revew photo of brisket sandwich. The menu was upgraded and also fantastic. All our food was delicious and authentic. (nacho, poutine, sandwich, and hamburger) Usual choices but they all had something only Ashburnham Ale House offers. The aroma was rich. Cheese and veggies were fresh. I was impressed with hard wood tabels and chairs whereas new restaurants are filled with cheap and light furniture. And pictures on wall get us going with the history of Peterborough. We happened to sit near the photo of Peterborough Lift Lock construction. We visited last week and will go back there this weekend from Toronto since my children asked for it. LOL We will re-visit Peterborough Lift Lock site coordinated with the lift lock cruise time to see the lift going up and down.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely fantastic experience at the Ashburnham Alehouse! The food was incredible — everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavour. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. Our server, Kurt, went above and beyond. He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. It’s rare to come across service that’s both professional and personable, but Kurt nailed it. Overall, a 10/10 evening — great atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Had turkey club sandwich and fries, delicious and served with enough fries to share. Other order was brisket sandwich with salad. Sandwich was dripping grease, big puddle on plate. Salad was good though. Brisket sandwich barely eaten because of how greasy it was. The server asked about takeaway and I let mentioned the sandwich greasiness. He was kind enough to remove from the bill without me asking him to, saw how little was eaten and it was important to him that we were happy with our visit Service from the host to waiter was very hospitable and friendly. Food came out fast. Lots of seating and wheelchair friendly bathrooms. Plenty of parking.

St. Veronus Cafe and Tap Room is a traditional tavern that exudes an old-world charm, with its dark wooden walls and Belgian-inspired comfort food. Located in a historic building that was once a bank, this establishment boasts an atmosphere filled with history and character. The menu at St. Veronus offers a delightful array of Belgian-influenced dishes, paired perfectly with their selection of wheat beers on tap.
The food here is fantastic! Great portion sizes and very reasonable prices as well. There was also a good amount of vegetarian and pescatarian options. We had a vegetable sandwich, fried brussels sprouts (highly recommend!), and chocolate spearmint crème brûlée. All the food was great. Good atmosphere and our sever was very attentive as well. Will definitely be coming back!

We came here for lunch as it was the most popular recommendation for a good restaurant in Peterborough. My wife and I had the St. Veronus Club. It was possibly the best club sandwich I've had. Portions were hefty, roast turkey was tender and juicy, the bread was crispy, and the salad was fresh. Service was stellar, friendly and proactive, making sure we had lots of water. Our server even read our minds and brought a takeout container for my wife without us asking. Excellent experience all around.
David R — Google review
Came here last month when I was stopping in Peterborough overnight after a long day of travel. Had this place recommended to me so I took the trip downtown to try it out. I don't regret it! I came in quite late due to my travel, so the place was quite empty, but the staff was extremely friendly and didn't cut any corners despite this. My server was very kind and walked me through the menu and helped me pick out an appetizer and meal. The food was excellent. I loved every bite, and the portions are extremely generous. The frites here are also to die for, and I felt so bad that I wasn't able to finish them all! Felt like a sin to waste a single morsel of food here. Absolutely come here if you're in town! It's worth the trip downtown to come here.

As usual, the food and atmosphere at St Veronus was excellent. The service, however, was unusually shocking. Our server appeared to have no other agenda than to take our orders, present our appetizers and main course and have us vacate our table as quickly as possible (party of 6). This approach culminated in the offer and presentation of boxes (at the table) for those that were taking portions of their very generous mains home prior to 2 patrons in our party completing their meal. This all under the guise of the server being concerned that a table of 15 that was to be seated after us would inundate the kitchen and slow our service. This group appeared and began placing their orders over 45 minutes after our orders were taken. St Veronas is not a breakfast diner. I do not, and did not, expect the service to be of that calibre.

I absolutely LOVE St Veronus! From the beautiful and unique atmosphere, to the delicious food prepared and the wonderful service, I have always appreciated this fine dining experience. In the winter months the restaurant is cozy with candles lit and soft music playing. In the summer, there is a gorgeous back patio that offers a unique vibe while sitting in the sun enjoying a refreshing beverage and a plate of frites! My recommendation is the Steak and Frites however, I have always enjoyed all the food recommendations offered! I love their sandwich and salad weekly lunch option! Perfect with their coffee.

This was our second visit to St. Veronus while visiting downtown Peterborough. It was recommended to us by our hotel and we are glad it was. The beer selection here brings back Belgian memories with their extensive variety of Trappist Ales. We also tried the Fruli belgian beer which is perfect for any strawberry lovers. Each time we had their dinner it was always perfectly cooked. Their steak is topped with two thick slices of butter to bring out the flavours and the flavours of the field tomatoes and basil puree with the duck breast dinner special were well-balanced. Their fries are also always served with mayonnaise for an authentic Belgian experience.

Came in expecting to get another mediocre healthy bowl... but after getting my food I was blown away. I’ve never seen avocado’s warmed up before but with the bowl i got it worked so well. The creamy dill sauce in my opinion is what made everything go so well together. This restaurant is healthy but also tasty. There service is also quick and attentive. Had Monday lunch there. Nice patio in a quiet area. Kids mac and cheese was a good size for $9. Salmon teriyaki was decent. Squash'n greens salad was OK. Staff was nice but waited a bit for food. Iced latte was just OK. Chocolate torte was very good. So overall decent/OK on the food items we ordered, nothing fancy. Was happy they were open on labor day

My first visit to The Railyard. Great menu choices and had duck confit and a friend ordered the pulled pork tacos for dinner. Service was quite slow and waitress forgot a specific thing we asked for. Duck was deep fried and dry but the cranberry chutney and roasted Brussel sprouts and mash were delicious. I found it quite noisy but it was busy in a Friday night. Nice that there are no TV screens. Dessert was delicious- I’d recommend the flourless chocolate pecan torte for $9.

We visited the restaurant for lunch on a Monday. It was pretty quite and the kids had the space to run around which might not always be true. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The space was clean and the ambience was very chic. The food was excellent too with the Pizza a real stand out and the plating for everything was excellent. If you are looking for a spot to eat in Petersborough, this should be at the top of your list.

Had dinner on the patio here tonight. We enjoyed the pulled pork salad and the pulled pork tacos. Both were very tasty! Really good serving sizes, and our server brought over a special menu to show items with dietary restrictions in an easy to view format. The patio is shaded with a bike path going along it. We biked over and were able to lock up our bikes right outside the patio. The smoking area is also beside the bike rack so we had some smoke smells wafting by, which is why I put a 4 star rating for atmosphere. Otherwise 5 stars all around!

The drink and food were both aesthetically pleasing and delicious! I rarely get hot cocktail and this Blueberry Tea is worth the risk. I would come back if I get a chance!

Today, since it was raining so my family decided to go to Peterborough for lunch and we decided to check out The Railyard Cafe and Taphouse! It was a really good choice for lunch!! The waitress was very kind and helpful! I had their Mac 'N' Cheese with the LA Maison salad which was very tasty!!! I definitely do recommend anyone to check out this restaurant that is only steps away from Downtown Peterborough, Ontario, Canada 🙂👍🏻❤️

This is one of the best restaurants that we have been to in years!! The service was amazing - thanks Charlie!! The food was fresh, homemade and delicious!! We drove in from out of town and we would definitely consider making the drive to go again. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. You could tell all of the employees worked together as a team. It was extremely busy but that didn’t prevent the staff from taking personal care to make sure we knew about the specials and to make recommendations about the menu. The evening was a true delight for the four of us!!

Family restaurant
Square Plates Family Restaurant is a popular eatery where families can enjoy a delicious meal together. This establishment offers an extensive breakfast menu that is sure to satisfy any appetite. The food at Square Plates is exceptional, with a wide variety of options available. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty full plate breakfast or something lighter like lunch, this restaurant has got you covered. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is top-notch, making it an affordable yet gourmet dining experience.
This is our go-to breakfast restaurant in Peterborough. The food is cooked with great care and is consistently delicious. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The prices are more than fair considering the large portions you receive. The Chef (owner) is really passionate about food and is great for friendly chat.

This is what you call a Mom n Pop restaurant. The decor very old school and you can tell the restaurant has been around for a long time. The server was very friendly and the food came quite quick. Breakfast was good. My only complaint would be that the bacon was a bit overcooked . Other than that my family enjoyed. Their debit machine went down and no fault of their own so I had to leave and go to a bank machine to get cash. By time I returned the machine was back up and running. I want to add also the prices were very very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

Food was awesome the cook knows what he’s doing by far my fav breakfast place in Peterborough, the grill cheese two types Of cheese and lots of it, he omelettes jam packed with everything u like in each bite, and the eggs and bacon top tier and the breakfast potatoes just hit perfectly I highly recommend checking this place out! I’d post a picture but afterthought first bite I couldn’t put the fork down. Thanks guys for the great meal!

Today was my first time at Square Plates 🍽 its an absolute lovely experince the food was impeccable and the staff are kind and hard workers!. It was a while since I've had eggs benedict and today i was in the mood to have it and i didn't regret it overall a pleasant and cozy experince and it was nice that it wasn't too busy today either. I'll be sure to come back and recommend this resturant to anyone looking for a good breakfast place to eat at.

I visited square plates in Peterborough in July for breakfast. The eggs and sides were excellent. The sausage was grilled and better than most breakfast sausages. The owner was friendly and took the time to explain how he started out his business as he was also the server that day.
Dianne D — Google review
The Chicken Cordon Bleu is so UNIQUE. Wow! I've never had a chicken like that. The Chicken is so soft, easy to bite. What makes it so good is the Swiss Cheese they put on it. The combination with the ham & lettuce is so PERFECT. Wow! I am impressed at that taste. Also, the Indian server needs better English because she gave me a coffee when I didn't ask for one & then I got charged for that coffee. I then communicated that the Indian female server gave me one by accident & they gave my money back. I'm happy for that but they need a better server to speak English better. That's all.
Derrick I — Google review
This was my first time here, upon entering there was a sign saying due to staff shortage meal times may take 20-30mins, which is fine for such a highly rated restaurant. The server was delightful, very friendly. We ordered a simple bacon and egg breakfast, it was ready very quickly and very overcooked. Our eggs were well done when we asked for over easy, everything else was cooked just a bit too long so very burnt. All of this would be somewhat ok if the prices weren’t as they are. There are many places in Peterborough that have the same menu for lower pricing/more quantity for the same pricing. I would not go here again nor recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Alycia F — Google review
What a gem! We can tell the owner/chef/server really loves food. He is very creative with his specials - Southern Sandwich was chicken schnitzel with pulled pork, and soup of the day was smoked chicken, savoy cabbage and potatoes. Basics like traditional breakfast was well done. (Farmer's sausages are big and tasty.) Price is a steal!

Their impressive menu includes delectable options like steak, seafood, and lamb. The ambiance at Berc's is warm and inviting, with exceptional service provided by the staff. Our first time at Bercs was in January and we forgot to post a review. Tonight we went for our second time and it was absolutely delicious just like the first time. I’m so happy I still had the pictures from our first meal there. We definitely recommend you giving this establishment a try. The service and the food has been fantastic both times and we will definitely be returning!

Our daughter got married this summer and Berc’s looked after the rehearsal dinner. They were so good with changes in numbers and menu. They were so accommodating with dietary concerns that came up, making sure our family and friends had everything they needed. The food was spectacular, as always! Thank you to Cathy and Mary and to all your staff for making Sydney and Ryan’s celebration so special. ❤️❤️

This is a very casual, but yet elegant at the same time, whether a large gathering or a setting for 2 they can accommodate. The food is cooked perfectly, the staff is very friendly, and on top if you need another drink, or you dropped your fork they are they right away. I highly recommend you try eating here you won't be disappointed.

Everything was great about the restaurant except my main. Service, atmosphere, most of the food... I got the pork chop with the mushroom marsala sauce and it was meh. The chop was overdone and tough, the marsala sauce bland, and there were 3 paper thin slices of mushrooms. The rest of the party all had fine mains... that's what I get for ordering a porkchop at a steak place. My rating is based mainly on my, average at best, main dish.

Well , there are many places we’ve been to dine my girlfriend and I, but this place Berc’s is unique and cozy. From the their front door to entering the main dining area 😎. Our greater was amazing and our waiter (Kristen )was amazing as well. Now the food 🥘…. I’d just say finger licking good 😊, and yes we will be coming back to try the whole menu.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Canada’s Dinosaur Park. Not quite as popular as The Canadian Canoe Museum, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

We have gone here so many times and it is an amazing place all of the kids love it ages 2-13! It's a blast and it's educational too! There are many things to enjoy outside and indoors. There is a lot of walking but it's very worthwhile. It is an amazing spot especially because there is not much in the area. Fun reptiles fun dinosaur models! And we love that it supports the work the reptile sanctuary does.
Merlin H — Google review
Great experience! Our 4 yr old grandson was excited to see all the reptiles .. snakes, alligators/ crocodiles!! We were under the impression this was a drive through however that is no longer an option. There are roads, gravel to walk through the Dino creatures so recommend good walking shoes. They also have a museum Dino displays building , some Dino’s are robotic, make noises. I’ve added a few photos of just some of the many photos we took! I can’t show all its many fine features this place offers! Price was decent for the experience, would recommend this to anyone passing through ! Clean washrooms upon entering the check in. Not much in the way of spots to stop and rest during the walk of the Dino layout. For younger kids a wagon is a great option as our grandson found it too much so we are glad we brought ours. Staff were very friendly and helpful! There is a mini putt at the entrance and a food truck was also available. Inside has the typical visitor gifts to purchase! And a small ice cream bars to purchase! We grabbed our treat when we departed! Thanks for a great experience!!

Fantastic place!! I went with my 3 year old, this place is also a non-profit reptile sanctuary! I have never veen so close to a black mamba or cobra before!! The dinosaurs were huge the walking path was smooth enough for a stroller. You are able to bring food and there are picnic benches throughout.

Awesome afternoon! The kids really enjoyed all the moving and still dinos! Bring good shoes, lots of walking. Amazing to see all the rescued reptiles, alligators, crocodiles, tortoises, snakes and more! Highly recommend if you love dinosaurs!

A Hidden Gem in Bancroft: Canada’s Dinosaur Park 🦕❤️ If you’re looking for a unique and heartwarming experience in Ontario, Canada’s Dinosaur Park in Bancroft is an absolute must-visit. This isn’t just a fun roadside attraction—it’s a passion-powered, non-profit sanctuary for rescued reptiles and a full-blown dinosaur museum rolled into one. From the moment you arrive, the care and dedication of the team is obvious. Every rescued reptile here—from snakes and lizards to turtles and dragons—has a name, a story, and a forever home thanks to the people behind this incredible organization. You can feel the love and respect they have for every creature in their care. The dinosaur exhibits are also impressive—especially considering they’re entirely funded by donations and run by volunteers. It’s part museum, part educational experience, and part walk-through time machine. Kids and adults alike will love the life-sized dino sculptures and fossil displays, and there’s plenty of interactive elements to keep you engaged. ✨ What makes this place truly special: • It’s 100% non-profit, so every dollar supports animal care and education • You get to meet real, living reptiles up close (safely!) • The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate • It’s perfect for families, school trips, or curious adventurers of any age Whether you’re a reptile enthusiast, a dino lover, or just looking for something cool to do off the beaten path, Canada’s Dinosaur Park is worth the trip. Support a local cause, learn something new, and leave with your heart full. 📍 Located in Bancroft, ON 🦖 Visit them, donate if you can, and spread the word—this hidden gem deserves all the love.

We stopped at Canada’s Dinosaur Park on our way from Toronto to Quebec thinking it would be a fun break for our 4 year old who loves dinosaurs but it was honestly a letdown. These are basically large toy models that move slightly with sound effects that are too low to really impress. They no longer have a drive thru option just a walk thru which takes around 20 minutes to complete. They do have a section with live animals like snakes, turtles and alligators which was a bit more interesting. But overall my son got bored just a few minutes in and we expected more for the price we paid. $25 per adult and $15 per child feels too steep for what is offered. Something like $10 and $15 would be more reasonable. If you are local maybe try it once but I would not recommend making a special trip just for this. It is not worth a long drive.
Mohamed T — Google review
My kid loved it here. Something different and I thought the trailer would be short but it wasnt. Time we'll spent and they are a non profit organization and take care of the animals with what they make there. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.
Kubo V — Google review
Canada Dinosaur Park is a very nice place to visit, especially for families. The entrance fee is reasonable, so it doesn’t feel overpriced compared to other attractions. The life-sized dinosaurs and displays are fun and engaging, and it’s a great spot for kids to explore and enjoy. That said, the park could use a bit more maintenance in certain areas. Some of the installations are starting to look a little worn, and a bit of upkeep would really help make the experience even better. Overall though, it’s a good outing that balances fun, affordability, and a unique theme.

Beavermead Park is a family-friendly campground located in the heart of Peterborough, offering a great opportunity for families to explore the beautiful surroundings. The staff are friendly and accommodating, with clean facilities and overnight security ensuring a safe environment. The park provides easy access to the Otonabee River, where visitors can enjoy camping, swimming at the beach, and various outdoor activities.
Great little beach to stop in for a swim or to spend the day. There’s a large grassed area you can set up with plenty of shade or the beach itself. A easy walk in to the water with a gentle slope. There are lifeguards on duty and a roped area to contain kids from going in too deep. There are kayaks for rent and a good public washroom/change room nearby. Lots of free public parking. A few volleyball courts and soccer fields on opposite ends of the park. Just a really delightful spot to enjoy.

Nice camping site with super clean washrooms and with small beach site for nice family time. Must visit for happy campers. We did campfire at night. After 10 is quite time. So no music after 10pm. Close to Tim’s and Wendy’s which really helps during those hot days of summer some time. I always carry my cycles for nice cycle time in evenings and mornings. $55 for camping spot

It is a lovely campground and look forward to going again this summer 2020. Great for cycling on trails or around the lake. The locks are interesting with boats from Canada and the USA. Lock boat tour available which is beautiful in the Fall. Swimming off the beach and a great play ground for children, supervised by their parents. Herons are regular visitors to the river surrounding the campsite. Have a good summer. Our photo did not show up!

My cousin and I camped at this Park for the first time Aug 11-13, 2023. We participated in the Lift Lock Event. This Park is very clean and well managed. Their new comfort station completed in 2020 is absolutely amazing! Well designed! Would definitely come back here again! Thank you Beavermead Park for your hospitality!

Great all-in park not too far away from GTA. This place has everything from picnic area, volleyball courts, small & clean beach, playgrounds, boating/kayaking/jet skiing, camp ground & a soccer field & the must-see "Locklifts". The main parking area is not small but not big enough for what this park offers & may get full in nice weather. But there are some other parking places nearby/aroud the park so it should not be a problem finding parking. There is plenty of green with shades & benches & bbq is also allowed making it a great picnic spot. There is a small beach strip along with a playground & a very nice excercise area which has some unique structures, good for both kids & adults. Near this area is a good size washroom building with 5-6 stalls each for men/women + there is also a fairly large change room. The washrooms were clean with no smell at all which was surprising for a Sunday. To top it off, follow the 5 minute walk trail on the right side of the beach and you will reach a small wooden bridge. Wait here for 10-15 minutes until a ship/boat wants to go through and see how they change the water levels and open the bridges for it to pass through (see video). Tip: Ask the attendents for the ship schedule so you can come back when they are about to start. Overall, a very nice park which should be on the summer visit list for locals or tourists.

The Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough is a treasure trove of over 100 canoes, kayaks, and paddled watercraft that offer a fascinating glimpse into Canada's rich history. The museum showcases the world's largest collection of these water vessels, with around 150 on display and an additional 500 housed in a nearby 'canoe cathedral' warehouse.
Visiting The Canadian Canoe Museum was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the incredible collection of canoes, kayaks, and paddled watercraft from all over the world. Each piece tells a unique story, beautifully connecting Canada’s history, culture, and traditions with the present. The exhibits are interactive and engaging — perfect for visitors of all ages. I loved being able to immerse myself in hands-on displays and learn about the craftsmanship behind canoe building. The museum does a fantastic job blending storytelling, art, and education. One of the highlights was the opportunity to experience on-the-water adventures. Paddling right outside the museum added a whole new level of connection to what I had seen indoors. The outdoor spaces are stunning, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed to complement the museum experience. Overall, The Canadian Canoe Museum offers a perfect mix of history, adventure, and fun. Whether you're passionate about paddling or just curious about Canada’s rich heritage, it’s definitely worth the visit

We loved the tour! It's easy to spend about 2 hours in their stunning new home. With about 100 canoes on display and another 1000 or so in storage, there is alot to see. The history, the craftsmanship, the variety, the stories of the original owners and their adventures add up to a uniquely Canadian experience, well worth a visit!

Beautiful new museum and exhibit overlooking Little Lake in Peterborough! Very comfortable and chill atmosphere. Took the afternoon tour with the kids and felt like they were able to get a lot more out of the exhibit. Very kid friendly with video, listening stations, scavenger hunt, and drawing pages.

Darn! What a nice museum here in Peterborough Ontario. I found out afterwards that this town was the birthplace so to speak of the canoe. So it’s no wonder the Canoe Museum is here in Peterborough. It’s such a nice museum and lots of facts and figures to explore throughout. The only gripe I have is that I thought the price was maybe a little much for what they have but honestly it is worth it if you want to learn the history of the canoe. 👍😎
Yodaman S — Google review
I really wanted to love this place. With a really curious mind who can be interested in almost anything and a love of canoes (been canoeing since I was 8 years old and own my own cedar-strip canoe built for me), I still found the exhibits pretty dry and the labeling not engaging. The best part of my visit was seeing the canoe vault.

Fascinating museum showcasing both the mastery and beauty of the canoe, but the history of the indigenous peoples and their journeys. Also an astounding piece of architecture, using natural materials to perfection.

Showplace Performance Centre in Peterborough is a popular venue for live music and various performances. The intimate setting provides an enjoyable experience, with helpful and cheerful staff or volunteers who go above and beyond to assist patrons. While the quality of seats may not be top-notch, the overall experience is highly praised. Guests have enjoyed shows by cover bands like Queen and big-name performers such as Gerry Dee in this cozy venue.
Last weekend we enjoyed the show “Road Apples” with friends, outstanding!! The band was well seasoned with the Tragically Hip’s signature sound and style. Each song was an absolute trip back in time perfectly well done! Ticket price was reasonable, would see them again at Showplace! Clean & friendly volunteer venue, thank you! It’s an intimate setting for all types of performances. The staff and/or volunteers are extremely helpful, cheerful, and delightful. I once asked if they had an ATM, the volunteer instead of telling me the directions actually took me down some stairs and to show me the ATM. Ordering tickets was a breeze!!! Great place!! The quality of the seats, however, are not the greatest. Still great place to go.

Saw a cover band, Queen. It's a kind of music. Band put on an absolute great show. Super band would go see them again in the future. The venue itself was good the only thing was when they opened the doors at 7:00 all the partons where huddled in the entrance with not much room to move until the opened the seating part of the venue. Other than that, a great time was had by all.

Papas Pizza Land offers the finest pizza in Peterborough, effortlessly surpassing any previous favorites. The crust is exceptional, generously topped with a wide array of ingredients. Their unlimited topping option creates a delightful pizza that resembles a delectable lasagna. While not on par with gourmet stone oven pizzas made with artisanal and organic ingredients sourced from local farmers, it far outshines franchise pizzas and mom-and-pop establishments.
Fantastic pizza joint. I’ve been ordering from there for 7 years and it’s always great. For the first time ever a topping was missed on my order and they didn’t hesitate for a second to send out another pizza when the issue was brought up. Saved the kids pizza party. Can’t recommend them enough.
Brandon W — Google review
Pizza was good, but, not my taste/preference. I did read somewhere that the way it’s made could make the difference in the taste. Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought I saw the owner/cook (?). say that they put the sauce then cheese then sauce. There was slightly spicy taste, but I’m not sure, maybe it was the topping. I went in with family members who live there, after a lovely walk downtown. We walked in and ordered our pizzas and stood aside waiting. It was very busy. The staff weren’t overly friendly, kind of blunt. I’ve ran businesses over my life and always been very kind to customers especially being busy, That means you’re doing well. The customers are your business. So there’s my honest opinion.. On another visit to Brockville, I may try something more from your business and give another review.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Papa’s Pizzaland in Peterborough. I went in to pick up an order and was shocked by how poorly the staff behaved. First of all, they didn’t even give me my full order—30 wings and an entire pizza were missing. That’s not a small mistake. When I realized and went back to get the missing items, things only got worse. One of the delivery guys, who was oddly working behind the counter and wearing sunglasses indoors, was incredibly rude. He used foul language in front of other customers and had a terrible attitude like he couldn’t be bothered to help. There was no apology, no professionalism, and no sense of responsibility from anyone working there. Instead of fixing their mistake politely, they made the situation worse with their behavior. This isn’t how you treat customers who are paying for your service. The whole experience was stressful, disrespectful, and disappointing. I honestly regret giving this place my order, and I won’t be making that mistake again. Avoid this place if you want decent service and respect—there are much better pizza spots in Peterborough that actually value their customers.

Honestly so disappointed. Ordered through Skip, took the restaurant 40 minutes to accept our order. After calling them they blamed Skip, although Skip said it took them 40 minutes to accept the order ( Long enough or skip to contact the restaurant to check in on the order status) No discount or compensation was offered. Our pizza was lukewarm, my son's pizza was overdone and the Caesar salad was lackluster. Our order cost $94. Next time I'll save 60 bucks and order Domino's.

Really liked the sauce, you could see little flecks of seasoning. The crust was perfectly cooked, very soft and pillowy just slightly crisp on the bottom. Not greasy. Loved it.

spent over 80$ worth of food to be met with horrible customer service . we called and ordered a party pizza wings garlic bread and knots and when we came to pick up the pizza we were told we never ordered it by a very rude man . he insisted we never called and ordered it even after showing him the proof on my cellphone . he argued that they never got the order 5 mins later i get a call on the same cellphone telling my my delivery was ready at my door … never got an apology or anything horrible will never order again

We order pizza from here often enough, and have always enjoyed it. This time however will be the last. We ordered pizzas online for delivery, and it took an hour and a half to get to us. I know it can be busy, and things happen, but it’s a very long time to wait. Finally we get the pizzas, and after the first bite we realize the dough is only half cooked, to the point of being inedible. We even checked the whole pizza to see if it was just one slice. But both pizzas we ordered were raw. We called the restaurant and were told we “didn’t ask for it to be cooked ‘well done’ so it wasn’t their fault that the pizza was cooked incorrectly”. We asked to speak to a manager, and after a bit of arguing they agreed to make us two new pizzas, but that they had other deliveries so they would get to us when they could. Fast forward and hour later, the pizzas come, and they are slightly more cooked than before, but still doughy. I know restaurants get busy, mistakes happen. But they didn’t even try to make it right, and they just didn’t seem to believe the pizza dough was raw.

Ordered through skip, and an hour later we called the store, no one knew where the order/delivery was. Cancelled the order, maybe they shouldn't be on skip if they cannot fulfill the orders. Edit* manager reached out and offered the order at no charge. Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge us and the situation.

I can't believe that I have not reviewed this spot! Been going here for at least 10 years, perhaps more. It's not fancy, a good late night food spot. Burritos, tacos, nachos...all fantastic. Great sauces! If you order a large, you better be hungry...HUGE! The staff here are the best. The gentleman that works here and always has, is polite, funny as all get out and part of the experience! I will be back again soon.. So good! I like the Reggie Burger burrito with Habenero Sauce!

This is my new found favourite Mexican Restaurant. I absolutely fell in love with the freshness of their Ingredients, the perfection of each dish. You can taste the love and passion they put into every dish. Their home made sauces are to die for. The nacho platters put every other restaurant to shame! The tacos are superb! If your looking for a phenomenal place to eat go try this one out. NO WAY you leave there unhappy. I guarantee everyone will enjoy this place. Edit : I just recently visited this restaurant again and they didn’t disappoint things have gotten better then before food was delicious like before and customer service was top notch Thank you so much guys for such a brilliant experience………

$3 to add meat to the quesadillas, and you don’t even get any! I don’t know what I should’ve expected from a mexican restaraunt that uses jarred salsa and is not authentic. I can’t believe the stars are so high, there’s an authentic mexican place a block down the street for the same price!

Absolutely the best tacos and burritos I’ve ever had! 🌮🌯 Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The staff here treat you like family—so warm and welcoming. Service was quick, attentive, and with a smile. Best in town, hands down—a must-try for anyone who loves great food!

Nestled in the Curve Lake First Nation, the Whetung Ojibwa Centre is a captivating blend of Indigenous shop, art gallery, and community space. Visitors can explore an extensive collection of Native crafts, fine art, jewelry, moccasins, leather work, and sculptures from both the local Curve Lake First Nation and across Canada. The center also houses a museum showcasing the rich history of the area's indigenous population.
First visit to the Whetung Ojibwa center on September 14 approximately 2:30pm. Great friendly and helpful staff on site with a wealth of knowledge on the history, culture and items within the establishment. It was amazing to see all of the arts, artifacts, carvings and everything in between. Don't let the size of the building fool you, it's a lot larger than you think & make sure you visit downstairs. There are 2 separate staircase that lead to different areas and be sure to visit the museum on lower level.

A treasure trove of indigenous art from jewellery, paintings, decor, etc. using various mediums. Artist on site executing their craft add to the authenticity of the pieces. Get your cheque book out to buy art that is unique. P.S.: cheap gas is available on the way to the centre at 2-3 large locations.

Such a cool place to visit! We went today and it was way bigger than expected, the artworks were so beautiful and they had the coolest shop filled with so many different things to buy! We're definitely coming back to visit.
Maddy — Google review
This store is simply incredible, whether in person or shopping on line it is a must for shoppers looking to buy anything indigenous in a good way and with reciprocity. As an ally it is really important to me to know I am purchasing and supporting indigenous artisans. Whetungs carries a wide array of artists, and products. From bead work jewelry, quill work, wood work, clothing, shoes, ribbon skirts and shirts in all sizes, ceremonial items, sacred medicines, and so much more. It’s an amazing place run by local curve lake First Nation people.

A beautiful cultural spot that showcases authentic Indigenous art, crafts, and history. The collection is impressive, from handcrafted jewelry and carvings to paintings and traditional items. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, making the visit both meaningful and educational. A must-stop if you're exploring the Curve Lake area.

September 14, 2024 recently visited Whetung Ojibwa Centre after a scenic 1.5-hour drive from Pickering. We spent over two hours exploring the center, which features a stunning collection of Indigenous crafts, including dreamcatchers, jewelry, moccasins, paintings, and much more. The center also offers a museum, totem poles, and sculptures that provide insight into the Curve Lake First Nation and other Indigenous groups across Canada. One of the highlights for me was the beautiful selection of crystals, accompanied by a detailed guidebook. I ended up purchasing a bear claw, three Every Child Matters t-shirts designed by Freddy Taylor, a Residential School Survivor and Curve Lake First Nation member, along with some candy sticks for my kids. My friend gifted me a gorgeous porcelain mug featuring a design by artist Leah Marie Dorion, symbolizing the "Breath of Life"—a reminder that our breath is sacred and our words carry the power to impact the world positively. If you're looking for a peaceful and enriching day trip filled with beauty, positivity, and a deeper appreciation for life, I highly recommend visiting Whetung Ojibwa Centre. Be sure to check their website for special events—I’m already looking forward to visiting again!

It boasts an extensive collection of over 33,000 artifacts and thousands of linear feet of archival materials. Despite space limitations, the museum offers rotating exhibits covering indigenous periods, early settlement, transportation history, and technological advancements in Ontario.
The donation based system is an amazing idea and the museum is worth checking out! I didn't have high expectations but I was very surprised by how interesting everything was and especially the choice of topics. Great little place! We went on a Wednesday afternoon and the lady at the counter was super sweet and helpful!

I’m from Rochester NY but my fiancé is from Lindsay, and I always drag him to museums when I come up to Canada lol. This is a great little museum. Not to mention, it’s free to get in (we did donate though). The gift shop is very reasonably priced too, surprisingly. Most museum gift shops are extremely overpriced. But here I got a nice coffee mug for $8! I’ve seen other shops charge $20+ for a mug.

I’ve been wanting to visit this seasonal spot for some time and it did not disappoint! Situated right on the river it has a huge patio with loads of seating and great views. The menu has a good variety and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The lemonade was definitely fresh squeezed and refreshing. You order inside and they bring your order to your table, which was delivered very fast.

Good service, friendly staff, good that hits the spot are all you will find here at this cafe. Need a nice place to chill after spending time in the natural environment, then stop by this spot. My fave is to grab a delicious ice cream cone after walking along the trail. Don’t wait forever cause this spot closes at 7. Shout out to the young ladies working there for taking my order a minute before closing . And yes, the ice cream was so delicious

Big Brothers Big Sisters was hosting a camp week and had a last-minute change to our programming. The Silver Bean Cafe really came through for us! They generously provided small ice cream cones to all of the kids in our program, free of charge. For some of the kids, it was their very first time visiting The Silver Bean, and they loved it. The ice cream was delicious, especially on such a hot summer day. After enjoying our treats, we played games in the park, which made for the perfect way to fill the afternoon. We are so grateful for their kindness and community spirit. Thank you, Silver Bean!

Euphoria Wellness Spa in Peterborough and its surrounding region offers a variety of spa experiences, from natural settings to downtown locations. Visitors have praised the professional services provided, including massages by Ryan and facials and pedicures by Katanna. The spa's relaxing atmosphere is enhanced by essential oils, calming water features, and candles. Guests can also enjoy the lounge for coffee or indulge in salon or nail treatments.
I had a day alone in Peterborough, so I decided to treat myself and went here for a manicure, pedicure, and facial (which I've never had before). I had a lovely greeting at the front, and was shown to the spa area. A sweet lady who was cleaning the floors went right away to get me some sandals so I didn't get my socks wet. And my aesthetician, Autumn, who did all the services for me, was incredible. She went above and beyond to make my day special and to make me so relaxed by the end, it made me wish I actually lived in Peterborough so I could go to her again.

Tyler is unfailingly professional and courteous. After every session, I walk out feeling truly relaxed and tension-free. His approach uses unique techniques that clearly demonstrate an in-depth understanding of how the muscles work and how to release tightness effectively—and not at surface level. If you’re seeking massage therapy that goes beyond simply relaxing and delivers real relief, I highly recommend him.

Simone and her team have created a wonderful relaxing atmosphere at Euphoria Wellness Spa. The essential oils diffused throughout mixed with the beautiful decor, calming water features and candles immediately releases any tension the guest may have. I love working downtown and being able to spend a few hours meeting for coffee in the lounge, enjoying a massage or pampering myself in the salon or nail areas. One of my favourite places is the rooftop exterior lounge with an amazing few of Downtown Peterborough overlooking the river into Little Lake with twinkling lights, heaters and tropical plants throughout the seating areas. This is an amazing place to host an event! Whenever I am able to do so, I choose Euphoria Wellness Spa and I highly recommend that you do the same! The team is exceptional and the service is unlike anywhere else. Update: I attended the Spa Euphoria Patio Launch today and the event space is absolutely incredible! Gorgeous views of downtown Peterborough, beautiful outdoor furnishings, a bar area and fire pits! The Canoe Cafe patio is beautiful with floral arrangements and sleek furniture. This business is very friendly and welcoming! Update: I have had the pleasure of enjoying the U4 patio with friends and for business meetings. I absolutely love the space! They have preordered catering options and a bar. You can also purchase from the Canoe Cafe Co for gelato, beverages and snacks! Update: Kristy is a long time masseuse who I have never had complete treatment. Due to a cancellation of one of her regulars, I got the appointment last minute. This massage relaxed me for the first time in a long time (after months without massage therapy). She is very knowledgeable and very considerate with any health related concerns that you may have. Thank you!

Nestled in the heart of downtown Peterborough, The Favourite Greek is a charming family-owned eatery that serves up classic Greek dishes in a cozy atmosphere. Known for its warm hospitality and delicious offerings, this spot is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic flavors. Diners rave about the mouthwatering chicken souvlaki, perfectly seasoned lamb chops, and their standout Greek fries.
The food here was delicious, the staff were very friendly and were able to accommodate a gluten allergy! The portions were generous. I can't wait to return sometime soon!

Lolo’s Visit to The Favourite Greek 💃🏿🥗 I liked that the menu had a VARIETY of options. I got the lamb chops, which I’d been excited to try. Customer Service: The service was decent, but there was a bit of a wait. The food took about 30 minutes to arrive, so it might not be ideal if you’re looking for a quick meal. However, the freshly cooked lamb chops were worth the wait. Food Experience: • The Greek salad was fresh, and I finished it right away. I love Greek salads. • The lamb chops were quite hard to cut and chew, but I liked the portion sizes. The seasoning didn’t hit for me. • It was exciting to try the seasoned potatoes. I enjoyed the zesty lemon flavor, though it’s not something I’m used to with potatoes. • I really liked the Tzatziki!!! This is something I can eat by itself! It was a good dip for the potatoes, lamb chops, and salad! Price: This plate was $31 (minus tax). Pretty fair. Ambience: The interior decor features subdued lighting and a classic style. While it may appear a bit dated, the calming atmosphere is suitable for conversations. It might not be the best setting for taking pictures, but it contributes to a relaxed dining experience. I liked the quietness. It was a good place for me to sit, eat, and think. Overall Impression: It was exciting to expose my palate to something different from my usuals. I appreciated the authentic taste of the Greek food, even though I’m more of a spicy and savory-saucy eater.

Just started getting their chicken souvlaki and have always been super happy with the quality, freshness and price. Recently saw the post on Reddit KitchenConfidentials about the soup no one ordered, had no idea it was local to me! Had to try this soup; it’s fricken delicious. lemony, light, hearty, fresh, comforting. perfect for a fall dinner. My partner also really liked the Baklava.

TL;DR: SO GOOD. If you’re looking for a place to eat, RUN here!! The food is incredible, the portions are perfect, the atmosphere is so welcoming and relaxing and beautiful. The prices are really decent. I’ve gone a few times now and I haven’t gotten really familiar with the staff yet but they have all been fun and we laugh and it’s a great experience. I’ve gone (multiple times) with a friend who is dairy and gluten free (there’s lots of options here!!) and the staff were SO GOOD with this. Never any mistakes on those orders, they were handled with such care. Thank you chefs!! Overall, every experience has been 10/10, tummy satisfied af

Riley's Pub is a popular tavern in Peterborough, known for its wide selection of draft beers and classic pub food. The establishment features a rooftop deck, TV screens for sports enthusiasts, and pool tables for entertainment. Visitors praise the delicious food, reasonable prices, and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, Riley's is commended for its attentive and courteous service. One patron even shared a heartwarming story about the staff's honesty when they found a forgotten card with money left on the table.
When ever I’m in Peterborough and have the time Riley’s Pub is a must stop! I usually get the fish and chips but they have so many other great choices. And lots of beer in tap, ice cold Guinness and it’s always a perfect pour!
Garling C — Google review
The food here was of good quality and the staff were nice enough but not very personable. The food we ordered came to our table in under 20 minutes which was really nice. The temperature in the restaurant was to our liking but the lighting in the restaurant was quite dim. There was no menu for non alcoholic drinks. The seats were quite crumby and we had to wipe them off before sitting down. The prices on their website were not accurate to the menu in restaurant and this actually deterred my partner and I from ordering a French onion soup to start when we noticed the price had jumped quite a bit from what we originally thought it was. Overall a fairly good experience but definitely some improvements to be made.
Logan O — Google review
The server was very friendly and professional; no issues there. The pub-like atmosphere was a bit dated but comfortable. At $20.00 a pop for lunchtime sandwiches, it was a bit disappointing. The corned beef on my Reuben sandwich was great but the bread was not; a bit bland and somewhat stale. My brother's chicken sandwich wasn't very tasty and the chicken had a rubber like consistency. The fries were not fresh and were overcooked. I would give about 3.5/5. Try it for yourself and see.

Riley’s Pub is a great spot for a casual night out, and the rooftop patio is definitely the highlight. It’s a nice space to hang out when the weather’s good, with plenty of seating and a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to spend a couple of hours there. The food is solid pub style, wings, burgers, nachos and portions are generous. Inside there are pool tables and lots of space if you’d rather stay indoors. Service has always been quick and friendly, making it an easy choice for food, drinks, and catching up with friends.

Being a local, I have enjoyed Rileys for years. The atmosphere is beautiful with the mix of wood, booths, lights, windows and brick walls. The food is always delicious, generous in size and fresh ... every single time. Whether I am ordering a meal for myself or a few appetizers for the table, I have always been impressed with the pricing and portion size. Update: My friends and I went to Wing Night. Let me tell you I appreciate that Riley’s is consistent, they offer great service, and delicious food. Their drink menu offers variety and you can’t go wrong with wings, fries and a married salad!

Right off the top! The best burgers in Ontario! Hands down! The flavour! The perfect amount of char! Wow!! Compliments to the chef last night! Our party ordered a few burgers and we all agreed they were amazing! To top it off, melting the cheese over the perfectly cooked bacon was perfection! Nothing more to say, order one! Now! Or you can go with the sticky chicken fingers, but if you look at the pictures they are basically 2 or 3 chicken breasts! So much food and we'll worth the price! The restaurant is gigantic, with plenty of room to stretch out and you aren't packed in on top of other tables. They also have an amazing number of pool tables! Such a fun and welcoming place. Well done owners.! Your staff are amazing, helpful and top notch. If you are thinking of eating here! Do so!

I have been coming here for over 10 years. I've always enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff. The food in the restaurant is pretty good but I find the takeout has really fallen short since mid COVID. I just got an order of sweet potato fries for $16 that was sooooo tiny. So tiny. Like a side portion not a full starter. I couldn't believe how much they charged me for this tiny portion. Wow.

Actually had good service, and attentive. Food was better than most food bats. One thing that stuck out, one service worker, noticed, that I have a minor issue, climbing stairs from the Washroom, downstairs, and suggested I use, the mainfloor washroom. Very considerate.

Japanese restaurant
Matsu Sushi, located in East City on Hunter Street, is a popular Japanese and Korean restaurant known for its top-quality sushi. The restaurant offers private booths for reservations and can comfortably accommodate groups. While some customers have experienced staggered dish arrivals, the attentive and friendly service makes up for it. Visitors praise the incredibly fresh sashimi, perfectly balanced sushi, and delightful maki options like spicy salmon and rainbow roll.
The staff are so lovely, attentive and friendly. The seating is semi-private and offers so amazing booths. Food is excellent. I always enjoy the fresh sushi offerings. I love sharing with the people I am with.

First time visit probably will be a last too. Just moved to east city May 2nd. I paid $45.60 for 12 pieces of rolls, 6 salmon sushi(that tasted like soap or cleaning chemicals) and 2 miso soup that were in very small containers. I'm not satisfied at all. I could have done "all you can eat" for 40$ at madoi. I know sushi isn't cheap I order alot. I also know that this place is "Al a carte" but this is unnecessary to say the least. I can pay $50 and Go to Durham and get 2× the amount I got from this place. I waited 20 mins for my food when the restaurant had all but 2 tables empty. I also want to bring up that they aren't willing to accomodate you, if you want to upgrade something or substitute for something else even offering more money to get what I want, well they're answer everytime was no sorry we can't do that. There are definitely better places out there, save your money. Thank you but no thank you.

Everything we got tasted delicious! Our service was great and friendly, and the restaurant was unique and cute! 🥰 I also think everything was reasonably priced considering it was about $60 for both of us and we had leftovers!

Came to celebrate mother's day a day early, mid day and no line or overcrowding to deal with. Service could have been more attentive considering it wasn't really busy. But food was great as usual and my mom and dad really enjoyed their first visit here.

Birthday meal with five adults. Reservations accepted. Seated in private booth which was very nice. More than enough room to seat five comfortably. Servers were attentive and friendly however oddly the dishes we ordered arrived staggered. The first plate arrived several minutes before the next two and then the final two several minutes after. By the time we all had our meals the first meal (a hot plate) had cooled significantly. As a family it is customary to wait to eat until all meals have arrived. My spicey pork with sticky rice and miso was delicious perhaps a bit too spicey for some. Sticky rice seemed a bit bland and was cold by the time all the meals arrived. Husband had Seafood Soba which he enjoyed though he did say some of the seafood was very off putting. Otherwise noodles and veg were good. Son had the Red Dragon, his favourite, he loves the tuna. Daughter-in-law had the Veg Soba which she enjoyed, alone with the miso which she said is the best she has had. Granddaughter had the Salmon Donburi which she enjoys particularly the salmon. It is a very large portion so she did bring some home. That atmosphere is wonderful here. There is some parking around back. Prices are a bit high but as expected with the cost of living and post-covid.

Unfortunately a let down, sub-par fish for premium prices. We ordered the Tuna Tataki expecting a deep red, seared tuna. However, the tuna came out in dull red slices that were barely staying together. The tuna had a strong fishy smell and taste. The sushi rolls were similar, with rice that did not taste like it had any rice vinegar or mirin. The soft shell crab was good, It was juicy and crisp. But the cooked vegetables it was on were cold :( There are much better options within the city for sushi. As the food stands, I cannot recommend a visit.

I absolutely recommend ! I was there last Saturday. The food, presentation, niceness of staff, and privacy are amazing. I’m surely going again! The prices for each meal were not so expensive. We spent around $50 because we ordered many dishes. They didn’t take too long to make the food, and there are so many beautiful backgrounds for taking pictures 😉.

Great menu options, really nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. We got the takoyaki and the beef gyoza. They were ok! They have both Coke and Pepsi products. It was a nice visit, will come back and try some more food options.
