Lévis offers postcard views of Old Québec City from across the St. Lawrence River, reachable by a short scenic ferry ride. Its historic core features 19th‑century architecture, the Lévis Forts National Historic Site, and riverside promenades ideal for walking or cycling. Visitors can enjoy local cafés and microbreweries, as well as access to the Route Verte bike network that follows the waterfront. The city also serves as a quieter, often more affordable base for exploring the wider Québec region.
With favorites like China Garden Inc. (salle à manger FERMÉ), Museum of Civilization, and Domaine de Maizerets, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. Montmorency Falls, located just a short distance from Quebec City, is an awe-inspiring natural attraction standing at 83 meters tall, even higher than Niagara Falls. Visitors can enjoy various activities year-round, such as hiking in the summer and ice climbing in the winter. The falls are easily accessible by car or bike and offer stunning views from different vantage points including trails, a suspension bridge, and a tram.
What a cool park. You pay an entrance fee, and you have 2 choices to go to the bottom of the falls, walk all the way around the park, over the suspension bridge down this cool set of 478 stairs down to the bottom incredible views all the way through or option number 2. Take the cable car down to see the bottom of the falls. And take the cable car back recommended for people who do not have good mobility. We chose to walk over the bridge and down the stairs to the bottom of the falls, where we saw a rainbow, which was super cool and then took the cable car back up. We saw a lot of people trying to walk back up the stairs. And were heavily winded, so we decided to take the cable car up either way. It's a great day, incredible views front on top of the bridge from the bottom of the right. The falls you can even walk down all the way to the water. Super cool, highly recommended. We will return.

I visited this place in September, a rainy day & public holiday. Paid parking (all day parking). If you pay entry fee, you can visit the falls, boardwalk & long stairs to the top. The boardwalk is very long, atleast 30min walk to the bottom of the falls. Stroller, dogs are allowed on the boardwalk. Has a playground & benches. Kid friendly, dog friendly. Foods are allowed inside. If you want to ride the gondola ,you have to buy another ticket for the ride. You can ride both up & down multiple time for whole day with single gondola ride payment. At the top, there's a party house ,available to rent for private occasion which was under renovation in September; a vegetable garden & a bridge on the falls. You can watch the whole area from the top. It's a must visiting place for tourists in Quebec City. You can spend your whole day with family & friends there. However ,the gift shop isn't enriched with various souvenirs. Many people visit the place, number of washroom is limited. Overall, nice place.

Amazing! You can find free parking on top of the waterfall. Please take a walk on the river ahead of it....are somme amazing million years old rocks on the river. The waterfall make you feel energized and amazed ( the stairs have 480 steps so....maybe a little tire after). Check the Citadel and the downtown as well. A lot of activity and fun! It is an amazing town! Love it!

Absolutely breathtaking! Montmorency Falls is a must-visit if you’re in Québec City — taller than Niagara Falls and just a 15-minute drive from downtown. The suspension bridge offers stunning panoramic views, and you can really feel the power of the falls up close. There are multiple ways to experience it — by taking the cable car, hiking the stairways, or viewing it from the bridge above. The trails are well maintained and perfect for a short scenic walk. If you visit in fall, the colors make the landscape even more magical. Parking is around $12, and you can easily spend 1–2 hours here exploring and taking photos. Definitely worth the stop — especially for photographers and nature lovers!
Nafiz I — Google review
The waterfall is really beautiful, but the view is a bit spoiled by the bridge and zipline. I wish it looked more natural. The suspension bridge isn’t really “suspending” it doesn’t move at all, it’s very solid. Overall, it was still a nice experience and definitely worth visiting once!
Maryam F — Google review
This is a really great attraction spot! There’s a park, trail, falls and a suspension bridge. You can buy tickets for a lift if you don’t want to take the stairs, beautiful viewpoints along the way up.
Gabriela S — Google review
Breathtaking views from suspension bridge or the cable car. There is small deck just before you reach the suspension bridge which gives the close shot of the fall. You can come down through stairs or can take the cable car to go down and get near to the fall. There are separate tickets for going inside the park and ride and is free for kids under 6.
Mohinish K — Google review
Spent about 4 hours here today. Beautiful and peaceful. Lots of great photo spots. Ride the cable car. Walk the stairs. Check all the paths and views. Wonderful way to spend a morning in nature.

Park
Domaine de Maizerets, known as Quebec City's green lungs, is a vast public park offering an array of attractions. Spanning over 27 hectares, it features well-maintained gardens, extensive hiking trails, and an arboretum dedicated to preserving fragile plant species. Visitors can explore charming shrub mazes and observe diverse bird species in this natural haven at the heart of Quebec City.
Domaine de Maizerets is a lovely park, nature reserve and wetland on Boulevard Montmorency, less than 5 km from the centre of Quebec. It's well-used by locals and their families, but is not well-known by tourists. There are walking trails through the park, a maze, an interpretative centre, extensive gardens, woodlands and wetlands with an island. The historic house, Maison des Maizerets, offers toilets, equipment hire and rooms for educational and community use. Two bicycle paths pass by the park. The park is suitable for picnics and ideal for children and families. There is free parking and it is accessible by public transport. This is a very nice huge popular park about 5 minutes ride by bike from the city centre. It is the place to view birds with plenty of shade and parking.

This park has everything. From the old stately manor to the botanical gardens to kids playgrounds and forest walks. I have been here for beerfests, picnics and just plain ol hiking. On my first visit I saw a classy wedding, a classic English car show and a Manga convention, all within meters of each other. There is also a pool complete with life guards to cool down after your adventure. Highly recommended.

An amazing park to visit that is in walking distance from downtown. The trails are beautiful and the landscaping is very well done. There is even a hedge maze to explore! Definitely worth a visit and lots of fun to experience.

Love this place. A haven for mother nature in the centre of a city. Roamed this domaine for decades and I still fine myself in awe at what I see. A four season open area for birds, humains, and humans with dogs pooping, at times these dogs are not on a leash like they're supposed to be according to the regulations of the park, and it happens (not often), that you'll step on dog poop. All this aside, it's a beautiful place. Get there early, like 7AM, you'll be in bird heaven!

Beautiful place to escape in the middle of the city. A nice stroll after diner, outdoor yoga or hosting a wedding event. A must to check out if you are in the neighborhood.

Great place to walk, bird watching, picnic, wedding reception, bicycling. The only sad point i note is they had to cut throught the forest for a stupid electric line. Pictures are from the highlands game presented there september 7 & 8 2024
Benjamin F — Google review
Beautiful, large park of gardens & pathways. The house itself is only for special events, there is no museum. There are many areas to sit, have a picnic or play games. The labyrinth is nice but there are small passages that have been created over the years which defeats the purpose of a maze. This could be so much nicer if the land was kept up and signage was redone. There are many weeds, debris in the creek and most signs are faded so you are unable to read them. I know all this takes money and probably volunteer work so it's nice just to have a green space in the city.

Specialty Museums
Nestled in the heart of Old Quebec, the Museum of Civilization stands as a vibrant testament to human history and culture. Overlooking the picturesque port, this architectural marvel designed by Moshe Safdie invites visitors to delve into both ancient and contemporary societies. Its permanent exhibition, "This is Story," highlights the rich heritage of Indigenous nations in Quebec, showcasing an impressive array of artifacts that celebrate their traditions and contributions.
Amazing experience! There was a free show for kids! Loved it! Titanic exhibit was so worth it and must watch. It’s for a very limited time. “ This is our story” exhibit about the Indigenous people was good and sad at the same time. There was another exhibit on one of the refugees which was deeply moving & made me grateful and appreciative of what I have, which we forget at times. This is #1 museum of all museums that I have visited. There’s a free guided tour in English and French for some of the exhibits. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The personal audio guide is a great way of going through some of the exhibits and helps in really feeling and understanding the work. I loved my experience in this museum. My 9 year old loved it too. Totally recommend a visit to this museum!
Pranali M — Google review
The Titanic exhibition was on here. Very interesting exhibit with personal headphones for the audio. In addition to science exhibits they have one on Quebec's history and another one on the indigenous Peoples of Quebec. Boutiques and restaurants inside plus seating for eating. Great for kids.

We came here in April 2025 and my 8 year old loved it as did we. I was a little bummed out that the wrestling exhibit had ended up the inventions part was very cool and unique. We also loved the history of Quebec part and all the animals. There's also a pretty epic gift shop on the premise in a awesome historical building. Definitely check this museum out if you're in Quebec City. 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

An amazing place to visit! So different than other museums, yet so interesting! In “This is our story” section, it manages to communicate what is a Quebec resident: un Quebecois! A story of diversity, solidarity, a moving experience! Despite its small size, it seems huge. It a real experience!

I went to see the Titanic exhibit. Very well done and so interesting. The had letters from people who received after the ship sank. They has some relics had been salvaged. Also full recreations of state rooms. I was there 2 hrs just for that. Wandered alittles after , a very good museum I thoroughly enjoyed. plus I am partially disabled and entry was free.

I wanted to buy tickets online, but this place is free to Quebec residents on the first sunday of the month so I had to buy on site. The wait was quite long - around 15 minutes. However, this museum is phenomenal! I bought the ticket that included the titanic exhibit (temporary exhibit) and wow, it was so worth it! I spent like 1.5 hours in there! The Crowd exhibit was also worth it! Very interesting take on crowds. I didn’t get to see the rest of the exhibits since time was short! I would recommend a whole day here! Tickets were $25 for me! I heard if you bought it online you can get $3 off!

A terrific museum, with excellent exhibition on thought provoking contents, including the history of Quebec, and other temporary exhibitions such as that about Titanic. It was One of the most impressive and enjoyable exhibitions I have ever had.
Freyr Z — Google review
What a wonderful and unexpected surprise. We started with a lovely and insightful gallery about local indigenous cultures and their civilizations, then a moving and deeply personal gallery exploring the refugee experience. And then a fascinating exhibit about crowds. A wonderful experience!

Italian restaurant
Matto is a popular Italian restaurant in Quebec City known for its delicious traditional dishes like wood-fired pizzas and artisanal pasta. The casual eatery offers a relaxed atmosphere with a focus on delivering flavorful comfort food. Chef Rocco Cortina pays homage to his Italian roots by using quality, seasonal ingredients to create classic dishes such as risotto and veal scaloppini. The restaurant also offers trendy cocktails and a knowledgeable staff who can accommodate dietary preferences.
What a dining experience! The staff is very attentive to your needs and will ensure you have an amazing experience. In my opinion, that's what really sets Matto apart with the atmosphere and vibe. The food is amazing. You see and taste the attention to details in what they do. The pasta is fresh with that bouncy feel to it and helps the sauce stick. Yet, no matter how great the food is, I take this back to the experience the staff is conveying.

Came in with high expectations after hearing this is the best Italian restaurant in town, but left feeling slightly disappointed. The only highlight of this meal was the risotto, perfectly cooked with fresh seafood and balanced seasoning. The pizza was mediocre unfortunately.

Visiting Quebec for the first time. We came here for the calamari, went home with full bellies. I called and asked if we can still reserve a table but it was full. They said just try to walk-in so we did. We got there close to opening which was around 5:30 pm. Asked if there was an available spot and we got lucky. Sophie Ann was an awesome server. Very friendly, always checking in on us if we needed anything. Honestly, topnotch service from everybody. From the manager who gave us a table right away to the server who brought our plates over. The food was crazy good. Worth the price really! Bread service was 100% great. My mom even asked for a refill and they gave us two plates of bread. We all ordered pasta and a margarita pizza for my niece. Let’s just say we all finished our plates!
Plr D — Google review
The vibe and serving staff at Matto were amazing; it was busy but not too loud to hold a conversation. The hostess was great at her job and recommended several items, all of which were great. We had burrata to start and mains were cod with vegetables and pasta, and ravioli. Dessert was cannoli and tiramisu. Both, outstanding, especially since they can be disappointing if not done well. Matto excelled in all areas and when we’re back in QC we will definitely be back.

An Unforgettable 50th Birthday Celebration in Quebec City We recently celebrated a 50th birthday at this stunning restaurant in the heart of Quebec City, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a setting of elegance and charm — surrounded by the city's breathtaking scenery, a beautifully designed space, and an atmosphere that radiated warmth and sophistication. The highlight of the evening, beyond the incredible food and setting, was the exceptional service we received — especially from Dany. He was truly phenomenal. Attentive, gracious, and effortlessly accommodating, Dany made us feel genuinely cared for every step of the way. His thoughtful attention to detail and friendly demeanor elevated the entire experience, turning a special occasion into a memory we’ll cherish forever. The food was absolutely amazing — every dish was a work of art, perfectly crafted and full of rich, vibrant flavors. From appetizers to dessert, everything was executed flawlessly and served with impeccable timing. The ambiance was equally impressive: soft lighting, tasteful decor, and an atmosphere that was both festive and intimate — ideal for a milestone celebration like this. If you're looking for a place to mark a special occasion — or simply to enjoy an unforgettable meal — look no further. This restaurant is a true gem in Quebec City. With spectacular surroundings, extraordinary cuisine, and service that exceeds all expectations (thank you again, Dany!), it was a 50th birthday celebration we will never forget.

There is a reason this place is highly recommended and highly rated! The food was amazing, tasted delicious, portion sizes, high quality, came steaming hot fresh to order! Our waiter was amazing despite how many tables he had, he checked in constantly, our water glass was always full. He made us feel like we were the only people in the entire restaurant. The prices for the service, food, experience were also amazing, I couldn’t believe our bill for the high end dining experience we just had. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant to anyone who goes to Quebec City. This is a MUST visit.

Modern French restaurant
Restaurant
L'Échaudé is an upscale bistro located in the Old Port district of Quebec, Canada. The restaurant offers a vibrant and sophisticated atmosphere, specializing in contemporary French cuisine and featuring a European-focused wine list. Founded by five foodie friends, L'Échaudé's menu is characterized by classic and affordable French dishes prepared with attention to detail and using organic, locally sourced produce tailored to the season.
This restaurant truly stands out as one of the top French dining spots in Québec City. The food we had for our late dinner was superb, with the scallops being a highlight—they were perfectly tender and tasted incredibly fresh. The desserts were also fantastic. While the oysters were a bit inconsistent, this was a minor issue. The server also patiently explained the menu, and served us well. The food serving time is a bit long. Just be aware that finding parking here is quite a challenge. There was an event in the city. And so many roads were blocked.
Leo T — Google review
We sat outside of the restaurant and the atmosphere was nice. The food was mediocre. We ordered the 3 surprise dishes (scallops, quiche, pork)… Not much flavour in the dishes. Not sure where the Michelin rating was from…very disappointed. Also, waitress was nice but she was upselling the set menu…may be that s/b a warning for us. Better off order the regular menu. One word…Disappointing
Todd M — Google review
L’Échaudé in Quebec City offers an exceptional dining experience consistent with its Michelin-starred rating. From start to finish, the meal is a masterclass in balance, creativity, and precision. The evening began with impeccably fresh oysters, beautifully presented salmon tartare and delicate sardines. The tasting menu included savory gingerbread topped with liver chicken pate, flavorful veal and Hamachi, perfectly seared and paired with mustard seeds, radicchio, butternut squash purée, and pickled jalapeños—a stunning interplay of textures and contrasts that was bold and refined. Dessert maintained the same level of artistry: a pear and sage custard cream that was subtly aromatic, smooth, and perfectly restrained in sweetness. The service was outstanding and set the perfect tone for a memorable evening. L’Échaudé is a true gem in Quebec City’s culinary scene, offering a dining experience that feels effortlessly world-class.

Quiet, cozy restaurant. It has a Michelin sign posted outside but not sure whether they got a star or an honorable mention. I can't say I would appreciate Michelin-star food, but will say I would return here again. Our waiter was a pleasure to be served by. The menu suggests ordering 2-3 dishes from the menu per person, which made me think the dishes were more tapas-sized. However the waiter clarified which dishes were more consistent with mains vs appetitizer size vs somewhere in between. We went with the Goat cheese (the star of the meal), Portobello mushroom stuffed with mushrooms & scallops that functioned like appetizers, and each got the Duck confit. By no means are we connoisseurs regarding Duck confit, but when compared to ones we've ordered in Toronto restaurants, the size of the duck leg was much larger. The taste was solid - with a hint of paprika (I think... could be wrong.. but something beyond ) that made it a bit unique tasting vs others I've had elsewhere. The restaurant also had some more unique cocktails than the usual fare. Would return for sure!

So, I had a reservation, but guess what? It’s not full, so we get to go in early! And the best part? The food portion is small, so they recommend ordering 2-3 dishes. We ordered 2 dishes to try, and they were delicious! We also ordered the tasting plate for two for desserts, and they were a real treat. We couldn’t resist the temptation to try them all!

Came here for lunch with my wife. For starter we had potato & leak soup and tuna tatati, I had the tuna and it’s was real good; tried also dipped into the soup and also taste superb! For main we had skate wing, a fish dish, photo taken after one part was ‘snatched’ by my wife☺️☺️. The fish was cooked perfect and tasted very good. Very happy with my meals, indeed of Michelin standards! Now I’m enjoying my coffee. Highly recommended if you want good quality and a joyful meal!

Woooooooow! Order the duck confit. They’ve been perfecting it for 40 years. The squash puree was over the top, the duck was tender, flavorful and delicious. Also ordered the sweet bread - tender, absolutely unique with the chimichurri flavor . Definitely a place worthy of Michelin Stars. Service was very attentive and professional. Thanks for a fantastic experience!

China Garden Inc. is a fantastic eatery that specializes in authentic Chinese cuisine with a Canadian twist. They exclusively offer take-out and delivery services, ensuring convenience for their customers. Their menu can be accessed online as a downloadable PDF file. It is advisable to place your order in advance due to an estimated waiting time of 45-60 minutes for preparation. The restaurant's popularity during weekends indicates their commitment to using fresh ingredients for every dish they serve.
Amazing food. Despite the noodles looking like worms, they are not. Amazing service as well.

Chicken balls were very bland and doughy, almost raw on the inside. The chow mein was elbow macaroni and didn't taste like it was even fried. The dipping sauces were pretty watery. The mushroom egg soup was alright, as well as the ribs and rice. Overall pretty bland, so I can't say that I would recommend this place.
Artem G — Google review
Take out only. Wait time was very short, now we know why. The rice was basically black from being recooked and all we could taste was sodium - GARBAGE; the chicken balls had batter which was not totally cooked - so.we had dough balls, the vegetables were mainly lettuce which was soggy, the ribs were the best part of the meal and they were dry and tasteless. The dining room is closed; therefore, our only option is take out to out hotel room - well we need cultery - yes an additional charge for plastic cultery. This bill was just under $40 and I would not feed it to my worse enermy. Avoid this place unless you are ok with tossing away money.

The Won Ton soup was pretty good, but the chicken Chow Mein consisted ONLY of vegetables, not a single noodle or any chicken inside. Since I got the food around 8:30pm and the restaurant is closing at 9pm, there was no way to go back and return the order, which made me feel like it was almost on purpose. A mistake like this is unforgivable. Very upsetting experience.

It's the second time i order delivery, VERY dissapointed. The sauces (pinapple & cherry) are NASTY! Ended up opening a bottle of VH sauce to eat with my orders. The ''chicken'' rice had no chicken in sight, no green onions, no eggs, nothing! Never ordering there again!

Great traditional french canadian chinese food. Restaurant offers only take-out or delivery options. Their menu is available online as a PDF file to download.
