Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park, formerly known as Fort George Park, is a vibrant and well-equipped park in Prince George, British Columbia. Named after the local Lheidli T'enneh Nation, this park offers ample green space and a riverfront on its eastern side. It's an ideal spot for kids to play and for visitors to engage in various activities such as picnicking, walking dogs, or enjoying games by the river.
This is a beautiful park. I stopped here for a road trip break and was very impressed with the area's beauty. Walking on the Heritage River Trail that goes through the park was a lot of fun.
James C — Google review
Oh man, what a beautiful park this is. It's huge! It spans over such a large area, and the Fraser river is right there too! Great spot for outings, picnics, whatever you want to do! The exploration place is also right here, so that would make for a nice day outing. The scenery here is just astonishing. The views are beautiful here, and the paths are clean and well kept. Would definitely get my bike here next time.
Humaam A — Google review
Beautiful park. Didn't get a chance to see if there were washroom, but the view on a sunny day is stunning. So peaceful beside the river. I will return here again (out of town guest).
Joel H — Google review
The park is great. I like this park as there is a walking area next to the river and also the park itself is so clean. You rearly find homeless here and kids really like the playground. I recommend here for an evening with family or bringing kids to play.
Hamid H — Google review
Plenty to see. Many paths for walking or wheelchair ,and cycling and rollerblading. Friendly community area to meet others and stay in the shade or just stroll by the river. Washrooms available and children have a park to play
Scott S — Google review
It is absolutely stunning this time of year. The park is maintained with love and care that shows throughout the park. There's a water park for hotter summer days and a miniature train whose cars can comfortably carry one to two adults and a child. The museum dates back to the early years of Prince George and shows pictures of locals like Jack Meda and Wassa Leon. Put Side a whole day to explore Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park as you will need it. Enjoy!
Miranda F — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful and versatile parks in the city. All the grass, trees, river views and picnic benches/tables make it a great place for a walk or picnic. There is a splash pad, playground, paved paths and stage so it’s also great to host events and gatherings. All in all a highlight of the city of Prince George any time of year!
Jordan F — Google review
Very well maintained. Nice playground and water park for the kids yet enough room that if you want peace and quiet you can have that to.

Italian restaurant
Cimo Mediterranean Grill is a casual restaurant with modern, dark-hued decor and a patio that serves locally sourced Italian cuisine. Visitors have praised the simple yet delicious menu and the attentive service. Some diners recommend trying the octopus arancini and grilled salmon, while others highlight the amazing pork belly dish. Despite changes in ownership, the food quality remains high with well-cooked pasta dishes and attention to detail.
Stopped in for New Years dinner. I like the division between tables for privacy (it’s nice when all the other tables can’t hear your conversation. Staff were great. Food was good and was decent value for what you got. Thank you for the experience. Will be back again.
Jesse B — Google review
In Prince George for a night, went to this restaurant close to my hotel, saw great reviews, giving it a try. Service was great, vibe is ok, menu is simple not overly complicated, try to do too much. The octopus aranccini is like a crab cake, but with octopus, tasted good. The grilled salmon was good, not over cooked, but not much flavour, the sauce only stay on the surface, may be marinate a little longer, I’m nitpicking at this point. Overall not bad.
Justin T — Google review
Food was amazing, employees were wonderful and very accommodating, had an absolutely lovely time! Would definitely recommend! Tried their tapas for 2, angel hair pasta, crab cakes... all so delicious!
Ann-Alise K — Google review
Each past at Cimos has its own unique flavour! Pasta is made in house and never disappoints. Wines from around B.C. can also be matched with your meal. Great food Great wine and their in house made cheesecake is always my fav as well

Went for my birthday dinner, awesome food, great service by Sam, patio table was cool with a fire pit.

Some of the best pasta we've ever had. Service was a touch slow, but very friendly. Can't beat $12CAD for half a liter of wine.

This restaurant has a fairly broad Italian and Mediterranean menu. Excellent cooking techniques and plate presentation. Service was top notch and friendly. Food tasted great.

Gastropub
Nancy O's is a trendy eatery in Prince George that offers contemporary dining and a weekend brunch experience. Situated on 3rd Avenue, this gastropub provides a club-like atmosphere where patrons can enjoy delicious food and craft cocktails while listening to live music. Highly recommended by the Instagram audience, Nancy O's is known for its diverse menu options, including sandwiches, soups, burgers, pastas, and desserts.
Great date night meal at Nancy O's during happy hour. Ordered Southern style chicken strips with a side of fries, Korean style chicken tacos, and an additional side of fries, plus 2 beers. Prices were great from the happy hour menu and portion sizes were very generous. I was worried that ordering from the happy hour menu would be a smaller portion size (due to the cheaper price) but no sir, it was one hell of a meal. Would definitely return here for another meal soon.
Devon S — Google review
I was recommended this place for brunch and decided to waltz in with the Mrs in tow when it opened for the day at 11. Curiously, it was more of a lunch menu presented. Not a worry, we ordered and anyway. The surrounding downtown area has seen better times, but this place is inviting and neat. The service was very good and attentive. The kitchen staff crushed it by knocking out the orders of the 10 people that came in before us at opening and ours within a short time. Fish tacos were delicious.

Great food, amazing vibe and the service was exceptional. The chicken tenders are outta this world. Patio was super cute too. Highly recommend!

First time here. The host was welcoming. Veronica provided great suggestions according to my specifications 🍺 Dj was flawless 🎶 Food was alright 🍔

It was pretty good. We had a couple nice drinks and some poutine as an appetizer. My wife got the super healthy macro bowl with salmon and I got the Drunken BBQ Burger, which was good, but not sloppy like I would consider something "drunken" to be. Cute place and comfy, waitress was friendly. The area around the restaurant is pretty depressed, lots of homeless, pretty sad.
John F — Google review
Had an amazing experience at Nancy O’s! The service was super friendly and made the whole night feel easy and welcoming. The truffle mushroom burger was delicious — rich and full of flavor — and the apple crumble was the perfect cozy finish. Great beer selection too, with lots of local options. Definitely one of the best spots in Prince George for good food and good vibes!

Went to Nancy Os to celebrate my friends 40th birthday last night and it was amazing! Our server was very friendly and even when there was an issue with one of the meals ( gluten issues) the manager came immediately and had it all resolved within seconds and too boot, she was so fun and caring! Quality top notch service ! Thank you for making it so fun and great! Will definitely be back with that type of service and amazing food!

🍔Burger: We ordered the 'Old Fashioned' burger, and it surpassed our expectations. The bread's softness complemented the rich flavor and texture of the burger perfectly. Every bite was a burst of juiciness and deliciousness, showcasing a flawless balance of ingredients. PS: I usually don't split my burger. As you know cutting your burger in half may cause losing its flavor and juicy structure. To share the burger, this time we asked the waiteress to split our burger. 🌮Tacos: Korean Glazed Fried Chicken. Our adventure with tacos was a little different. Because of the hamburger, we had to take thetacos home. Even though the tacos had been waiting, we were very pleased that the chicken was delicious and the sauce was thick. I am sure that we would have liked it even more if we had eaten it at the restaurant. ❗️In addition, I found the restaurant quite successful in terms of ambiance and service quality. I learned that the restaurant's patio area is already open for summer. This is good news.

Located in a 70-year-old building that was transformed from a garage into a brewery by Daryl and Bjorn, CrossRoads Brewing & Distillery offers a vibrant atmosphere in the heart of downtown, perfect for socializing. CrossRoad Brewing was such a fun find in Prince George! Their dog-friendly patio made it super easy to enjoy a meal without leaving our pup behind. We ordered a mix of sandwiches, pizzas, and wings to share, everything was tasty, fresh, and perfect for casual bites over drinks. Laid-back atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. We can’t wait to come back next time we’re in town.

Good food and great service! This is a place where you can hang out with friends and unwind. The sliced brisket is tender and tasty, and their beers are a must-try. I personally recommend the Gnarly Bush Raspberry Wheat Ale, which is light and fruity. However, we did encounter an insect in the coleslaw while sitting outside. We reported it to the staff, and when we checked out, they informed us that we only needed to pay half price for the sliced brisket and that they had discarded that batch of coleslaw.
Sunny H — Google review
Where the Beer Flows and the Laughs Never Stop This isn't just a pub; it's a full-on experience! Their craft beers are so good, they'll have you questioning your life choices and wondering why you didn't move to Prince George sooner (whoa take it easy). The food is delicious, the atmosphere is electric, and the staff is as friendly as a warm, fuzzy beer cozy. So, if you're looking for a place to unwind, have a few laughs, and maybe even discover your new favorite beer, head on over to Crossroads. Just be prepared to stay a while... and maybe order another round.

We were introduced to this place by a friend who lives in the city, and we are glad we went. The atmosphere is really good, they have very rustic and eclectic decor. Aside from regular tables they also provide high bar top seating as well as an outdoor patio. We ordered a few things on their menu to sample and to go with our beer flights. The food was good, we shared a pizza, nacho, charcuterie board and wings. They have many different types of beer and craft beer on tap which was nice to try. The pizza had a nice crust, good amount of topping ratio, and the nachos were super cheesy. The wings could use a bit of improvement, as they were lukewarm when we got them. Our server was really attentive throughout the evening. I accidentally made a mess by knocking over a glass of my beer from my beer flight. They not only cleaned it up but also poured me a new glass. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves that evening and I can see this being a great hang out for locals and especially when a game is on. Will definitely go back when we visit Prince George again.

Great, friendly service. We were taken there by friends who live in Prince George and really enjoyed it. My friend had the Beet salad. I had the brisket. Our friends had a pizza and the gnocchi. Everything looked great. I tried the salad and the brisket and both were good.

Delicious salmon dish and potatoes! I really enjoyed my food here plus the server Shane was nice and patient with us. We also had the nachos with guacamole and salsa to share, that was good too!

Stopped in for brunch and it ended up being our favourite food spot all weekend! Lemon ricotta pancakes are such a treat! Also loved the delicious egg sandwich and mom enjoyed her avocado toast. Beer flight was fun and playful with many varieties for different flavour palettes. Will be back!

The park features gardens with diverse flora, as well as chairs and picnic tables for visitors to enjoy. Additionally, it serves as a picturesque venue for weddings and other events.
A park that truly surprised me - I did not expect to find such a nice park in PG! The landscaping was especially nice, like something you’d find in a botanical garden! I wish there were some unobstructed views of Downtown, as there were other good views to the south and west.
Harrison S — Google review
[Previous review missing] Interesting hill located right in downtown area. Could offer great views of city however tree-line is higher than view area so this is limiting. Area can also get a bit sketchy, especially given its proximity to other sketchy neighborhoods so advise caution, especially outside of daytime hours.

Beautiful setting to take in the view and have some food and drinks. Family friendly easy to access and very relaxing! Only recommendation is to bring hand sanitizer or I wish the city would add some dispensers in the out houses!
Nathan G — Google review
Great view of the city. Plenty of parking spaces and if you prefer to hike there are easy accessable hiking trails. Lots of room to run around for children and dogs. It is very clean and maintenance to keep it clean is on top of. Gorgeous flowers and plentiful trees! Peaceful!

A diamond in the rough. I'm shocked to find this in this otherwise not landscaped hole. This is what BC cities are known for. I wish other parts of the city were landscaped like this, it would likely attract more people to visit and stay.

Neapolitan restaurant
Nestled in the heart of downtown Prince George, Betulla Burning is a culinary gem that specializes in Italian cuisine and Neapolitan-style pizzas, all crafted in a traditional wood-burning oven. Since its inception in 2016, this stylish eatery has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike for its unique pizza offerings, featuring an original house-made sauce and delectable toppings.
Ok, this place has my heart. We're driving by GP and decided to have dinner here annddd . 💣 THEY HAVE A WOOD 🪵 FIRE PIZZA. Omg, last time I had it was in Brazil, the pizza was extremely delicious, a really nice place, good service.
Isabela R — Google review
I attended Betulla Burning on august 29, 2025 at 7 p.m. for dinner. I had come to PG for an IPSC shooting match hosted by the local range. I am from Vernon, about an 8 hour drive away. On entry by myself I was asked if I had a seating preference. I advised I would really like a seat where I could see the food prep area and I was immediately accommodated and not disappointed. I can see straight into the oven as well as the dough prep area. There is a tonne of old world charm going on with that pizza oven. I indurstand it is wood fired. The chef uses long handled spatulas and treats those pizzas with some love. I ordered a pint of deadfal retrogression west coast ipa. It is a nice craft style beer. Refreshing and a little more hoppy that your average canned beveridge. Again service was prompt and pleasant. I also ordered the prosciutto pizza. Really excellent service throughout my stay. Friendly and welcoming. A cut above for sure. For the owners of Betulla Burning I can't stress this enough, you have a superior team. Pizza was great! This business is not in competition with domino's. This business does not know that Domino's exists. It is a completely different product. It's not cheap. At 32$ for a pizza it is not going to hit many budget points. But... its not trying to be cheap, it is trying for a quality point and experience. They do very well on both points. I would absolutely go back. Outstanding place for a social meal or a date.

So good!! I had the provolone 10" pizza. Amazing! I would say if you don't like salt don't go for it bc 2 pieces in it's a bit salty.. for myself it was fantastic and I really like provolone/salty things! Today is my birthday and I got the cinnamon donuts and strawberry compote for free as a bday gift 🥹 soo good!
Sunshine G — Google review
Being huge fans of Neapolitan style pizza we were very excited to try this spot. We tried a margherita and prosciutto pizza which were pretty decent but just severely over priced. My son had a sprite, I had a $7.50 mocktail and after tip our meal came to $92…that’s outrageous. I have paid less than that for three people at our favourite pizzeria in Vancouver including drinks. Having said that, the space was beautiful and the staff were awesome. Definitely need an adjustment on their pricing though.

Mulino Kitchen & Craft Cocktails is a popular restaurant in PG, known for its efficient and charming service. The ravioli and boccini salad are exceptional, with the basil balsamic reduction being particularly noteworthy. Despite the somewhat unusual atmosphere, the food is highly praised, with dishes like Short rib Spaetzle receiving a discount due to being overcooked. The pasta options such as Spaghetti Carbonara and Bison ragu are of New England quality.
We came here to celebrate my husband’s graduation and honestly, we couldn’t have picked a better spot! As soon as we walked in, Madison greeted us with the warmest smile and such a friendly vibe, it instantly made us feel welcome. We started with the torched brie and wow, what a treat to kick things off! Paired with a sip of their house wines, which were really good and hit just right. The mains did not disappoint—the steak was cooked exactly how we like it, juicy and packed with flavour. And the fish and chips? Lightly battered, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, just perfect. Shoutout to the chef working June 5 around 5pm,you crushed it! Amazing food, excellent service, and just a good vibe all around. We’ll definitely be back!

Very impressive menu, staff was full of energy and made it feel like a personal experience for us, food was 10/10 and the staff were very knowledgeable about all food and drink items on the menu, cocktails are also a 10/10!! Can definitely recommend the cannoli, ribs, carbonara, even the house salad with the blueberry sauce was delicious!! ZERO complaints!

Truly a diamond in the rough. From the friendly staff to the authentic music in the background, the atmosphere here is warm and inviting. The staff were super kind and accommodating. Special mention about Carey-lynn and Nicki, they seated me and made me feel welcome from the very minute I walked it. The menu was entirely appetizing. I wish I had time to try everything. I did settle on steak. Wow, what a great choice. The peppercorn sauce is out of this world, and the meat was perfectly cooked. I'm not a dessert person, but I tried the tiramisu anyway. I'm so glad I did. Perfectly made with a traditional recipe. This is by far the best restaurant for dinner in the whole city, and believe me, I checked them all out. This will be my go-to restaurant every time I visit town.

Absolutely Outstanding Service from Carey-Lynn! We had the best dining experience thanks to our server, Carey-Lynn. From the moment we were seated, she brought such warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm that it instantly elevated the entire meal. Carey-Lynn was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and answered every question with confidence and detail. Her meal suggestions and wine pairings were spot-on—you could tell she really understands the flavors and wants each guest to have the perfect experience. Throughout the night she was wonderfully attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Drinks refilled before we even noticed, check-ins at exactly the right moments, and a friendly energy that made us feel truly taken care of. Carey-Lynn turned a simple dinner into a memorable experience, and it’s rare to find service this thoughtful and consistent. If you’re dining at Mulino's, do yourself a favor and ask for her—you won’t be disappointed!

Me and my husband went for food to the restaurant. As we heard alot about it. Unfortunately we had bad experience, we ordered soup and it was served cold completely but the taste was really good the only one thing we liked there. Then we ordered Focaccia bread which was absolutely disappointing too and there was no taste and it was pretty hard. Seems like old. Then we ordered Ravioli, the portion size was too small and the sauce was overly salted. We went there with amazing thoughts but left with disappointment. We have been to many homemade pasta restaurants and we have pretty much knowledge about this cuisine not this was beyond my expectations. Although service was good. The lady who served us was really caring but food was like never return to this restaurant unfortunately.

One of the best places and best chef in PG, hands down. We went for the brunch board and it was incredible. Sausage, bacon, pancakes, French toast, tater tots, the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had, a bunch of different fruits, whipped cream, toppings, and much more. We wish they offered this all the time. Excellent service to top it all off. Thanks White Goose!!

Never a disappointment when we dine at the Goose!!! Fallon’s service is always top notch! We shared the lobster ravioli appetizer which was delicious. Mains were Caesar Hot Wings with Caesar salad and the halibut with crab slaw burger which was the lunch special. All food was 10/10 Highly Recommend

I had REALLY high expectations of this place because of the reviews and the price point. Our waitress was lovely. We tried the chef’s choice 5-course meal. It was a fun experience despite the let down with the food. All dishes I would have personally never ordered. The pastry lobster pizza was nice flavour but only had a couple small pieces of lobster. The crab cake had a nice crunchy exterior and was on a fresh salad but the crab quality was poor. The mushroom dumpling pasta was very rich and had a delicious flavour. The main was good quality technically but the flavour fusion was too unusual for my palette. The slice of cake with ice cream and jam and a couple blueberries on top was underwhelming. Sadly I would not go back because I feel it was overpriced for what it was. The quality and ambience can be found at other restaurants at lower price points.

Wasn't very impressed with the special(Beef & Cheddar). As u can see by the photos, bun was smashed, hard and crusty way too much horse radish and the meat seemed overcooked. Paid 26 bucks(no beverage) Staff service was good, just not my sandwich

Had their amazing "Arby's" beef and cheddar curly fries special, which left nothing to be desired (10/10). Also shared the roast beet salad with goat cheese and walnuts, also very tasty.

Indian restaurant
The experience at Karahi King, an Indian restaurant, was awe-inspiring. The love for Indian cuisine was truly fulfilled as the food did not disappoint. During the first visit, appetizers like calamari and vegetable pakoras were savored and found to be delectable. The main course consisted of a dinner for four which included tandoori chicken, chana masala, lamb curry, butter chicken, and vegetable biryani - all of which were incredibly tasty.
A Flavorful Fiesta This place is a flavor explosion waiting to happen. Their curries are like a symphony of spices, a harmonious blend that'll have your taste buds dancing. The naan? Oh, the naan! It's soft, fluffy, and so delicious, you'll want to marry it. The service is as quick as a flash of lightning, and the portions are so generous, you'll think you've hit the culinary jackpot. So, if you're ready to embark on a flavor-filled adventure, buckle up, because Karahi King is a ride you won't forget. Also ridiculously large portions so bring your appetite and expect to leave with a box.

With staying at the hotel across the street this made for several meals for me over the weekend. Well flavored and spiced. Can’t wait to bring my husband next time to eat. Hard to find restaurants like this in America.

I ordered through skip the dishes mango lamb mild. They sent a very spicy dish that I couldn't eat. I called them to ask them to fix the situation and said they could make a new one but I'll need to pick it up. I ordered because I didn't want to drive! They said asked for a refund to skip and order again. When I contacted skip; they said they'll look into it in 24 hours. I had to order dinner somewhere else. The most horrible disappointment in Prince George. Do not waste your time and money here. It doesn't matter if I named the dish incorrectly; it was SO SPICY 🔥!!! When I ordered mild. I couldn't eat it. And I did contact skip and they did nothing; no refund. same as you so NO You didn't give me a solution. Why on earth would I go pick up when I ordered through skip for that specific reason. Zero sense and emphaty on your end to even consider that a solution. How about you train your staff to make what the customer asks. A mild dish. How difficult is this?

Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The service was excellent — staff was friendly and attentive. What impressed me the most was that they kindly allowed us to dine in even though we arrived just 20 minutes before closing, and they still treated us with great hospitality without rushing us. Really appreciated the welcoming attitude and the care they showed. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

Loved their delivery service. Food was amazing I ordered dahi bhala and tikki chatt . Fresh prepared. Exciting thing was they also delivered cutlery and cleaning tissue with food 👌. That was basic need of customer. However other restaurants doesn't provide tissue and cutlery with online food delivery but they does . So I happy with their service. Majito was also on fire 🔥. Amazing guys . Well done . And thanku for great food and service ❤️.

The food at Karahi King was honestly amazing the dal was rich and flavorful, and the chicken biryani was just perfect, full of authentic taste and aroma. Everything felt super fresh and satisfying. Also, Sukhveer was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time!

Went to pick up an order for my boyfriend. I walked in and the two girls at the bar looked at me then continued to talk in a different language for around 5 minutes. When they finally acknowledged me they were rude and short. Handed me the bag then went back to talking and completely ignored me. Then eating the food was a disappointment aswell. I ordered a lamb dish and my boyfriend ordered a chicken dish, both dishes only had about 5 pieces of meat in each. It’s disappointing and frustrating when you pay almost $60 dollars and get two containers that are pretty much just sauce. This has been my boyfriends go to for Indian food but we will not be ordering from here again after tonight.

I originally had a little disappointing experience with one of the dishes I got delivered; however, the restaurant had contacted me regarding the order, and they offered me a complimentary meal to make it up for it. The breads are flavourful, and the Bhindi Bhaji was cooked very well. Last time, it was so burnt that it must have been a mistake. I am very pleased and impressed with their prompt and proactive customer service. I would say it was one of the best customer services I've experienced in PG.

Great restaurant, and good drinks. Food was very good. I had Fish & Chips, and Potato Skins. Had a fun evening playing the slots. Walked away a winner. Looking for a fun night out in Prince George. This is the place.

We had a great time and left with a few small wins from the BC Gold slot machine. The drink server made our night even better because she was so jolly and nice. I still remember her name, like Chell or Shell, like the “gasoline station.” She perfectly remembered our drinks while carrying a bunch of them on her tray, and it amazed us how well she knew her job. 👍

I traveled here from Hada Gwaii (2 days travel) to give my kids a little vacation to a hotel with a pool and waterslide. When we saw the waterslide was out of order the disappointment was so thick we could taste it. Unfortunately I booked online with a third party so couldn't get a refund and stay elsewhere. The people at the desk were no help and nothing was offered to make things better. I wouldn't stay here again. Also no breakfast and the hallways stunk.

Mrs and I stopped here after a 8hr drive from Stewart and decided to do our anniversary dinner here. What a mistake! 1840hrs. Sept 4th 2025 Ordered our drinks at the Cove. At that time we got the menus. Waited while waitress kept wondering back and forth to other tables. Two other parties arrived after us and ordered their meals and were served their meal and we never got to order! We just got to sit and boil! Complained to a manager, who just stood there. " I'm sorry this happened to you sir." Yes so 'am I! See on a previous review, this is nothing new here.

Trench Brewing & Distilling is a local brewery situated in an industrial area near a scrapyard, giving it an authentic industrial ambiance. It's a great spot for solo outings, with a small menu featuring in-house smoked meats and cold beers and seltzers to enjoy at the bar.
Great place!! Cool vibes, great music. I wanted a beer flight but I was super indecisive, the server gladly gave me a small sample first so I could make up my mind. She was lovely. The beer was delicious.

Love going there and can't wait for my next meal there.

I have always loved trench but not only did I not realize they were kid friendly, I didn’t realize HOW kid friendly they are! They have high chairs and serve apple juice in the small glasses that are used for flights and you can get a bowl of Mac and cheese for $5 (toddler approved!). I was hesitant to bring my 2yo there as I really didn’t know what to expect but it exceeded my expectations! Had to share with other new parents :) thank you!!

Last time i went to Trench Brewing, about two years ago, they didn't yet have food. This time round, I was happy to see they now had a light menu on offer on top of their great beers. As expected the beers were excellent. I recommend a flight so that you can try 4 beers at once. Then you can pick and choose what pints to order. For lunch, I had pulled pork sliders and borscht with a dollop of sour cream on top. The sliders were very good, with a nice soft roll and satisfying pulled pork. The borscht was good too. I felt the portions were a little on the small side, though my lunch came to a total of $10. For dessert, I had peaches and cream cheesecake, which was yummy. I love cheesecake, and this cheesecake was as good as any I've had. All in all, I recommend Trench: go for the brew, stay for the food.

Drinks I love your menu 🍻 Food Yesterday I ordered #carpaccio I have some comments... 1. Be more generous with the sauce you prepared, if everything covered, it might help. 2. I think beef should be served frozen 3. Slides should be thinner, I took it home and made this 🤣 in any case the elk was excellent 💯 Every time it has been a pleasure to visit this establishment. thank you 👍🏼

Museum
Specialty Museums
The Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum, established in 1986, spans across an 8-acre site in Prince George. It showcases a variety of attractions including trains, historical buildings, and logging machinery. Visitors can explore the long-established train station with its collection of old equipment and even enter some of the trains. The museum also offers a lookout tower for capturing picturesque views.
So, an admission up front- not my first choice for an excursion. But my husband was keen so I tagged along. And it was so worth it! There is a huge variety of railway stock and forestry machinery on display, a lot of which is open to explore. The accompanying info boards are succinct yet comprehensive. The staff we encountered were highly knowledgeable, and were keen to share information and answer questions. It was clear that the museum is a work of love for many dedicated volunteer enthusiasts. As foreign visitors, we learnt so much about the development of the rail and forestry industries in Canada. Take a picnic- there are plenty of tables in the grounds- and indulge your inner child for half a day. Play with the model train set and sit in the driver’s seat of some of the engines…. A fabulous visit.

If you love or even like trains this is a must stop. We are senior citizens but forgot to mention it so we paid full price (21cad). Lots of trains, most in great condition, enjoyed reading the history. Amazing stuff.
CHAOSNCHECK T — Google review
I was excited to visit the Railway museum on a recent trip to Prince George. I went mid morning on a Friday and it was very quiet with only a few other tourists. This was a day before the opening of the mini train starting up for the season so perhaps people were waiting till then. They have a nice model train in the office, and a good selection of trains in the yard. I found the telecommunications exhibit most interesting, particularly the old style dial phones. Some trains and box cars you can see directly into and several you can go inside. The rest you wonder around to see. I was a bit disappointed however with the poor condition of many of the trains, with heavy rust on quite a few of them. I realize this is a small Museum with limited resources, but it looks like there is little attempt to protect or restore many of the trains. With them being outside, they will continue to rust and fall apart. Otherwise for a train enthusiast it is a must see.
Malcolm G — Google review
Absolutely LOVELY. Tons and tons of cool railroad history, pins, buildings. A very cool beehive burner as well! Train rides were very reasonably priced as well as admission. I will say, I did have one negative experience. You were handed what I thought was stickers as the “tickets” to show that you paid for the train ride. I didn’t know they were laminated and reused until after the encounter. I was planning to keep it as a souvenir just because I like little things like that (thinking they were just random stickers that wouldn’t be used again). This younger lady with ginger/blonde hair (iirc) took it from me and I asked if I could have it back, she gave me the dirtiest look with a snotty voice “Uh, no, you only paid for *one* train ride.” And I’m like, okay? I’m not gonna use it again for another train ride? I can go buy another ticket for 3 bucks if I wanted to. I explained how I wanted it as a souvenir, and she just gave me a look. I said “I’ll tear it in half if you’re worried about me using it again?” And then she took them and brushed past me with a cold stare before ignoring me further on, starting to explain the instructions for safely riding the train. If she had simply explained they were to be reused, perfectly fine, no further questions asked. I was under the impression it was just another thing that rr museums give people and keep them (I’ve been to several who didn’t reuse). There was no need to be rude about it and that happened just before I left, so it left me a little sour. I would give it 5 stars but of course what was described above.

Enjoyed our visit here, was nice to see all the old trains and forestry gear. We did feel though that many of the exhibits seemed like they were somewhat falling apart and it seemed many were closed off and not accessible. Cottonwood Island Nature Park in Prince George, British Columbia is a beautiful wooded park located along the Nechako River. It offers walking trails, a boat launch, and a picnic shelter for visitors to enjoy. The park is perfect for family outings, with opportunities to explore the trails and admire tree carvings while taking in scenic river views. Additionally, visitors can engage in various activities such as walking, cycling, bird watching, and potentially spotting wildlife within the park's natural surroundings.
Visited the nearby BC Central Train Museum then walked the paths around Cottonwood Island Nature Park. Found twelve of the twenty carvings. Trail isn't that well marked and there are no maps available. I used google maps which helped a bit but my wife used her Pokemon app and darn it kept us on all the trails and alerted us as we approached carvings. We thought finding twelve out of twenty was good. Locals we talked to say some carvings have been vandalized by tourist.

This is one of the amazing parks I have ever been. The butty is never ending. If you head there in summer or spring you will face squiralls jumping around chasing food and nuts around the trees and sometimes with a foot distance on your side. Beautiful scenery and a close drive, bike ride, or walk from most parts of the city. Excellent trails, though as of mid-June 2022 some are flooded due to water levels in the Fraser or Nechako Rivers. Assortment of wildlife to be seen - mostly birds during my visit - and be sure to stop and appreciate the tree bark carvings along the trails.

Today was the very first time we came to Playgrounds cafe. It was a very pleasant experience. You can never tell just by looking at it from the outside...but this cafe is simply awesome! It is bright and airy and a very comfortable place to have great conversations and meetings. The staff are delightful and the products they sell is of great quality and well thought out. There's a play area for kids and kid lunch box menu to purchase foods from as well as kids changing stations...party and events room as well as family restrooms. Perfect mix for all ages groups. Looking around the cafe I'm finding a very nice mix of age groups from working men to women as well as grandparents with tots...and mom's with children of all ages. It's currently lunch on a Tuesday but and there's a constant line building up to purchase foods and beverages. Very busy little place located in an industrial business district...away from main roads. It's a hidden gem and we are so glad we walked in! It will now become our go to place!

This place impressed me because of the quality of coffee, the level of service and the layout of the play area. Timbertrain coffee, the roast used, is one of my favourites, and is on par with the other top roasters in Vancouver. The latte and cappuccino ordered were well made with good micro-foam. I could not have asked for better. The staff were cheerful, and competent. Clearly management had done their job. However even if the coffee had not been as good I would have planned to returned because of the children’s play area. Over the years I have taken my grand children to many such places around the province, but Playground’s play area stood out. As a primary educator I was impressed with the range of toys and activity stations. A lot of thought had obviously gone into the creation of this separated but adjoining space to the attractive coffee shop. Again the play area staff were excellent: observant, caring and professional. The security was the best that I have seen. The most appropriate age range for the play area seemed about one years to six. Finally the food was fresh and made with quality ingredients. We had a delicious sandwich made on a fresh bun, a bacon and egg cup, a fruit salad, and a fruit scone The prices were excellent for the quality, and the crepe station begged a return trip to sample the delicious looking output. Definitely a gem of the North.

Wonderful home made food, from crepes, baguettes, desserts, coffees and the kids' lunch mix. I have been here with my family with the play zone and with friends and colleagues. There is a separate atmosphere and areas defined for both user groups. This location is now closed with a micro spot set up at the casino. I look forward to supporting them at their new location!

Great gem in PG to get lunch only as it caters to people who works downtown PG. Super-friendly couple who makes great food and affordable as well. Bulgogi beef (#5) & Chicken Katsu (#13) is what we had and no complain there except that the house salad was a little salty. I had the Curry (#2) before and was very tasty. What a hole in the wall place, Sim’s is tucked away in the light industrial area adjacent to Downtown PG. The owner was just working by himself, however he was able to move the busy lunch crowd through no problem. His wife normally is there with him but she was visiting Korea at the time. Steak house
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Northern British Columbia, North 54 Restaurant & Bar is a stylish steakhouse and lounge that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Renowned for its exquisite selection of steak, seafood, and pasta dishes, this establishment has earned accolades for its fine dining ambiance. With elegant marble tables and charming low-hanging chandeliers, the atmosphere is as inviting as the menu.
Keep North 54 in mind for your next special occasion, …or if you have someone to impress, …or if you love pasta, …or all of the above apply. While you have to be prepared to spend a bit more here, you will notice where every dollar went: the restaurant has great ‘date-night’ ambience, the staff are known for their top notch service, and the food is not only presented well but also taste great. For our dinner, my wife and I ordered the Escargot and Mushrooms to start, and enjoyed drinks stocked from local breweries. For mains ,we had to try some of the pasta dishes they are best known for. We ordered the Lobster Ravioli and the Angel Hair (Baby Shrimp) - both with plenty of parmesan cheese on the side. The pasta in both dishes was freshly made and cooked to perfection. Each of the sauces were distinctive, with the Ravioli being thick and smooth, while the Angel Hair was full of chunky seafood and well seasoned vegetables. We also had as a side dish the Tomato, Burrata and Pesto which tasted as good as it looked. We suggest having an advanced look at their menu as certain seasonal items change. For those interested in drinking, their cocktail, wine and beer selection has great variety so there is bound to be something for everyone.

Why have I not been here before?! If you haven't been here, make your way downtown. Reasonable pricing, beautiful atmosphere, great service. Food was amazing!!!!! The steak sandwich was delicious, the fish and chips absolute recommendation (tartar sauce is sooooo good), ceasar salad top notch and the banana cheesecake dessert was divine. Unlike any place I've been to in Prince George. They're open for lunch and dinner. I don't know if I can go anywhere else now. Thank you 😊

I had an incredible experience at North 54 recently and decided before I even started into my main that I’d be writing a review. Top notch service thanks to a very knowledgeable server and a menu that had something for everyone in our party of six at the end of a long work week. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, which was delish, but it was the appetizers that initially won me over. Best. Bruschetta. Ever. (And I was in Italy last summer!) The open kitchen was a nice addition to a great overall atmosphere. I’ll be back and I recommend you make a reservation if you’re in PG.

WOW!!!!!!!! If you haven’t tried this place yet you need too!!!! I can’t wait to go back here again…the atmosphere, cleanliness and vibe was really good! Our server was Dylan he was fantastic! Very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to his tables. The Food is homemade and fresh right down to the tzatziki dip which I absolutely recommend ordering the calamari! To top it off they have happy hour from 5-6pm (only place I’ve ever heard of that does that) and other great offers.

North 54 – A Night to Remember My partner and I celebrated our second anniversary with a dinner at North 54, an upscale dining spot we’d been for our 1st anniversary as well —and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone: warm lighting, elegant decor, and just the right touch of intimacy for a special occasion. The staff greeted us with a level of professionalism and warmth that instantly made us feel welcomed and cared for. We began our meal with the calamari, which was nothing short of outstanding—crispy, tender, and paired with a tangy aioli that elevated every bite. It was the perfect start and left us excited for what was to come. For mains, we ordered the pork belly pasta and the steak dinner. The pasta was beautifully prepared, with rich flavors and a silky sauce that showcased real culinary technique. However, it just didn’t quite suit our personal tastes. When we mentioned this casually to our server—not as a complaint, but more as feedback—what happened next truly impressed us. Without hesitation, the server graciously acknowledged our thoughts and, to our surprise, offered a complimentary tiramisu to end the meal. It was a thoughtful gesture that spoke volumes about the restaurant’s commitment to guest satisfaction. And let me say: the tiramisu was divine—creamy, balanced, and the perfect sweet note to close the evening. As for the steak, it was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, flavorful, and accompanied by seasonal vegetables that were clearly prepared with care. North 54 made our anniversary not just a dinner, but a memorable experience. That kind of service is rare, and it left a lasting impression on us . We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we’ll save extra room for dessert. Elegant, thoughtful, and delicious—North 54 is a gem worth returning to.

Firstrst off, let's talk about the vibe. This place is very classy. It's got a romantic ambience that makes you feel like you should be discussing international politics or the stock market, not just shoveling food into your face. It's the kind of place where you feel compelled to put a napkin in your lap. But forget the ambiance for a second and let's get down to the real event: the food. Specifically, the special. I don't even remember what they called it—some kind of decadent, culinary monstrosity—but it was absolutely freaking amazing. And when I say amazing, I mean it felt like a direct, delicious assault on my cardiovascular system. This thing was super rich. I'm pretty sure I could feel my arteries gently requesting a time-out halfway through the meal, but I didn't care. It was the kind of dish that makes you briefly consider selling a non-essential organ just to afford another bite. So, if you want a classy night out where the food is so good it's borderline medically irresponsible, you get yourself to The Twisted Cork. Go treat yourself, you magnificent glutton.
Tylor H — Google review
Parking right outside the restaurant. I didnt have trouble finding parking. The restaurant was pretty quiet when I entered and during my visit. There was probably 4 couples I there for our entire visit. Atmosphere is calm and inviting. I enjoyed sitting and chatting with my friend while we waited for the food and after dinner as we let the food settle. We ordered the tomato bruschetta to share and my main was the spaghetti carbonara. Both dishes were presented very well, very flavorful and fair portions for the sizes.

North 54 feels like a quiet surprise in the heart of Prince George. It’s got this understated charm—elegant but not trying too hard. The staff make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first visit, and the whole place runs on calm confidence. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do; every plate that comes out feels carefully thought out. A great spot if you’re looking for something a little more refined without the fuss.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like West Lake Provincial Park. Not quite as popular as Cottonwood Island Nature Park, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

West Lake is a picturesque destination located in Prince George, BC, that offers visitors a serene and tranquil retreat amidst the stunning natural beauty of British Columbia. With its pristine waters, lush forests, and abundant wildlife, West Lake is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by the crystal-clear waters of the lake, reflecting the surrounding mountains and creating a breathtaking sight. The well-maintained trails provided easy access to explore the area on foot or by bike, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the scenic wonders that West Lake has to offer. The campground at West Lake was clean and well-organized, offering a variety of campsites suitable for tents, RVs, and trailers. The sites were spacious and private, providing a sense of seclusion while still being conveniently located near amenities such as picnic areas, showers, and washrooms. The campground staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant and hassle-free experience for all visitors. One of the highlights of my visit was the abundance of recreational activities available at West Lake. I enjoyed kayaking on the calm waters of the lake, admiring the towering trees and listening to the sounds of nature. Fishing enthusiasts will also be delighted to know that the lake is stocked with various fish species, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful fishing excursion. For those seeking a more leisurely experience, the sandy beach at West Lake provides the perfect setting for relaxation and sunbathing. The shallow waters are safe for swimming, making it a great option for families with children. I spent many hours lounging on the beach, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the serenity of the surroundings. Overall, my experience at West Lake in Prince George, BC, was nothing short of extraordinary. The natural beauty, well-maintained facilities, and abundance of recreational activities make it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem and immersing yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of West Lake.

Loved our time at West Lake! Water was warm, perfect temp to swim in and do boarding! Not too busy with a few families enjoying the lake. Set up our table with food and drinks, enjoyed the peaceful setting, taking in the picturesque views.

I am always going here, swimming or ice skating, or just walks around the lake. Sun is always shining here. Lots of lovely friendly people that live in the are. Pretty busy lake, great for socializing. Great Lake.

Great Lake and many parking spots, boat launch area too. Many picnic tables close to lake shore.
Lu T — Google review
Beautiful lake with huge open area, beach, and picnic tables galore. I can easily see why West Lake is one of the most popular lakes to go to during the summer around Prince George. Although I didn't walk around the lake I've been told there is a dog area and fire pits off to the right of the main area. 10/10 time there though I suspect it gets very busy during the summer months.
Chris H — Google review
Many nice picnic spots around the lake. Boat launch with lots of parking

Pros: Clean bathroom facilities, outdoor open shower, large swimming area, boat launch, and beautiful scenery. Con: water can give you lake itch if you don't shower thoroughly after swimming.

The Exploration Place is a vibrant science museum that offers an engaging experience for visitors of all ages. From dinosaur models to interactive exhibits and even a steam engine train ride, this place brings science, technology, and history to life in exciting ways. The museum features various galleries such as Worlds of the Night, Paleontology Gallery, Children Gallery, First Nations Gallery, Prince George Sports Hall of Fame, and Biome.
I must say, after looking for a place to visit in PG, this is something I found on Google, and it was worth going in for. You can go in and enjoy the beautiful views. There are live and small-scale animals and sculptures of wild and big animals that almost look real. Their way of presentation inside is something to look for. If you are traveling to pg, then your 30 to 60 min inside this place is well worth it. I enjoyed visiting this place and its ambiance. If you have kids, definitely take them here. They are going to enjoy this.
Abhijith N — Google review
I had a few hours free in PG, and always like to visit museums so I stopped in. The museum is gears more towards kids, and is smaller which is normal for a regional one. But it was still worth a stop. The exhibits were varied with some interesting topics and information. However they need to work a bit more on readability as there was several areas too poorly lit to read the information signs. Also in Place of Learning the choice of black lettering on a dark brown background makes for difficult readability. Staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a lovely area to sit and drink a coffee from their cafe and a small gift shop. It was very quiet on a Friday morning and I spent about 1.5 hours, including stopping for a drink. I would recommend a visit if you have free time especially if you have younger kids.
Malcolm G — Google review
Got to see them feed the axolotals which was awesome. So many interactive displays. Both my 17 and 10 year old had I good time. Lite brite board was the highlight (see what I did there?). Giant axolotal was super affordable.

We just had a birthday party here for my son and it was awesome! The new area for kids is so cool. The kids were so busy and had so much fun. The staff was amazing. I didn't catch the one gentleman's name but he is definitely an asset for the museum. Really good value and all the free passes for the kids was a really nice add-on. Thank you so much!
Jocelyn W — Google review
Honestly this place has gone severely downhill. Although they updated the inside they took out the funnest area of the museum and replaced it with chairs and tables. Definitely not worth the price for kids over like 6
Jessika K — Google review
Give yourself time here all our five kids loved it ages 3-14. Great on a rainy or too hot day. Toddler friendly and ASD toddler friendly.
Erica R — Google review
This family-friendly museum offers exhibits on science, wildlife, culture, and heritage. While the museum is designed to appeal to kids, adults can enjoy it as well. One exhibit I particularly liked was Spirit Bear, which describes in story form how children from all groups stand with First Nations to improve the services for Indigenous children.

Updated 2024.11.15 The Exploration Place is focused for small kids to come visit, but adults are welcomed as well and was a lot more entertaining thanks to it's wonderful and friendly staff. Your time visiting shall depend on your interests and whether you just wish to breeze through the exhibits or to read everything printed. There are snacks available but please don't take food or drinks into the exhibits. There's two floors to visit, washrooms are on the first floor, WiFi is available.

If you own an interesting looking dog, your child has a name like Skyler-Wray, and your spouse sports dreadlocks, I know this is where you'll be on a Saturday morning before an afternoon of mountain kayak telemark running. And why not, honestly. Great booths, and a wide selection of local food type things. Place gets bigger every year.
Andrew B — Google review
I was here for the first time and it was a great experience. Farmers and local suppliers brought their hand made crafts and products for the public. I have not seen bee wax candles and such amazing mushrooms that I have attached pictures of. Recommended.
Hamid H — Google review
The Farmer's Market has a good selection of fresh produce during the summer, but obviously less so during the winter. However, there is always a good selection of local meat products year round, including beef, bison, pork, goat and lamb. The Farmer's Market used to be a pet friendly space, and should make itself so once again. They also need to bring back a public washroom, like they had in their two former indoor locations.
Crywalkr — Google review
So nice to have a farmer's market every weekend! And indoors too! Farm fresh eggs, veggies and fruit, treats, drinks, snacks, fresh meat. Love supporting local!!!
Sheila W — Google review
Wonderful thing to do downtown on a Saturday. There are loads of handmade, fresh and artesinal items like soap, candles, jewelry, crafts, meat, vegetables, ethnic food, dog food and treats, baking, coins and money, and so much more. Everyone is super friendly. Most booths have debit machines but bring cash just in case.

I am a regular visitor to the PG Farmers Market and I absolutely love going on a Saturday morning to have a bite and get some fresh food. There is a great selection ranging from veggies, to salsa, all sorts of bread, and meat. All the vendors are super friendly and they sell exceptional products. Come down Saturday morning for a nice outing with the family.

The park offers amenities like firewood, firepits, benches, shelters, and toilets. Forests for the World is a hidden gem in Prince George! The trails are well-maintained and easy to navigate, the lake is serene, and the utilities are convenient. Great spot for a picnic or a leisurely walk. Highly recommend! 5/5 stars!

Lovely park to spend a summer afternoon fishing and hanging out in the shade. Access from the Cranbrook hill side is an easy walk in to the lake - we pulled a wagon in with no problem. This has been one of our fav local spots for as long as I can remember, quick to get to and great for a picnic, biking, fishing, quick walks or a long hike around Shane lake. Dogs allowed on leash.

The drive-up is a little bit rocky, but once you're there, the scenery and trails are definitely worth it. There are many trails going, some are long and some are short. Nice views at the lake for pic.s and place for barbecue. It's definitely worth a trip.

## Forests of the World: Nature's Escape Hatch (with a Side of Moose Mischief) Alright, city dwellers craving a green escape, listen up! The Forests of the World in Prince George is your little slice of nature, tucked away just a hop, skip, and maybe a confused moose encounter from the urban jungle. **Nature's Beauty (Without the Backpacking):** This ain't no wilderness expedition, folks. You won't need to battle mosquitos the size of pterodactyls or worry about accidentally becoming a bear snack. The Forests of the World offers a curated taste of different ecosystems – think rainforest minus the humidity, desert minus the scorching sun, all connected by a series of friendly walking paths. It's perfect for a casual stroll, a breath of fresh air, and maybe some epic Instagram nature shots (minus the questionable plastic foliage in some areas, but hey, we all have our editing skills). **The Wildlife Encounter (Guaranteed to Mess with Your Pace):** Now, here's where things get interesting. The highlight of the Forests of the World? Supposedly the exotic birds and creepy crawlies (though you might be more likely to spot a rogue squirrel or a family of very chill chipmunks). But the real stars of the show? The moose. Yes, moose. Imagine this: You're mid-jog, feeling all gazelle-like and conquering the "Amazon Rainforest" path (plastic vines and all) when BAM! A majestic moose decides to take a leisurely stroll right across your designated running route. Your perfectly planned Pace app goes out the window as you slam on the brakes (both physical and metaphorical) to avoid a collision with a giant, antlered critter. The Forests of the World is a 5-star adventure in accessible nature, unexpected wildlife encounters, and the humbling realization that moose don't care about your running goals. It's a beautiful little escape from the city, perfect for a nature fix without the full-blown wilderness experience. Just remember, keep your eyes peeled (and maybe pack a camera) because you never know when a majestic moose might decide to join your nature walk (and mess with your workout routine in the most hilarious way).

So many amazing hiking trails. Great place to train or get exercise. You can do a short walk to Shane lake, do 5 km to 20 km loops on the extensive trail network. You can also hike the Greenway all the way to Otway

Nestled in downtown Prince George, this locally owned gem serves up an impressive array of authentic flavors that are perfect for a casual lunch or dinner date. The talented staff craft their own taco bowls and whip up a variety of salsas ranging from mild to fiery hot.
My wife had been here a few days ago for lunch. Before heading back to Vancouver we treated our family for lunch. It was excellent. The food was good, service was great and we were full when we left the table. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Very small portions for the price. 12 tater tots, some cheese and meat. Could fit all of it into a 1 cup measuring cup. Veggie burrito was very saucey not much else. So texture is verrrry soft. All of it just looks very blah. Wouldn't waste my money here again.
Shannah W — Google review
Staff are absolutely amazing. This would be a good place to bring your kids who cannot eat spicy food. The taco is more of a burrito with soggy lettuce., the fajita was very soft and mushy with no flavour. The chicken tasted like it was boiled. I will not come back due to the food having zero flavour and taste. On a positive note, the food was fresh and the restaurant was very clen

We had a wonderful time celebrating our engagement here! The staff were very friendly our server Jit, he was very attentive and most courteous. Our Chef served amazing food, rare beef tenderloin cooked to perfection, his showmanship was great and we both loved how meticulous he was with the meal he was preparing. My favorite part was the onion volcano! Which was so cool to see! Thank you again guys for making our night so special 😊

We brought my mom here for her 90th birthday. We sat at a teppanaki table for the food and the show. Our experience was great and the food was excellent. Getting a combo is definitely the way to go with the soup, salad, rice, veggies and your choice of protein all done to perfection. We had Sang at our table and the cooking and the food were wonderful. We were a little disappointed when we didn't get the show after the cooking like we saw happening at other tables. Part of the reason you come is to watch the theatrics. Overall, a great experience though.

Food was amazing, large protions, served very fresh from grill. Never had an experience like this and I was impressed to find it in Prince George. We will be back again.

We had the signature Sapporo dish on teppanyaki. This combo saved us time from deciding since it already consisted the whole works. Our chef was Carl and it was fun, flare and flair! The vegetables were perfectly grilled and sizzled with a savory sauce. The salmon was sharp and lobster rich, notes of high quality ingredients. We were getting full half-way through but the meal was punched with flavour so we kept on devouring. The smell of the food cooked on the open flat grill will catch a ride with you on your way home. Just leave the windows down and be grateful for an exciting evening!

Tapas restaurant
Nestled in a charming townhouse just across from the Ramada, The Twisted Cork is a must-visit eatery in Prince George that beautifully marries upscale comfort food with an inviting atmosphere. This delightful spot offers a menu filled with tantalizing tapas and hearty dishes like Grilled Salmon paired with fresh pea-shoot salad, Portobello Napoleon served on citrus rice, and their renowned Elk Burger.
I had an amazing experience here! I brought my 3 younger sibling for dinner a week ago. The two younger kids will remember it forever and can’t stop talking about it. From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our waiter, Mike, truly elevated the evening and made the kids fancy mocktails which made it just that much more special as it was their first time at a restaurant like this. Mike was attentive, funny and friendly. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He definitely made our day! His recommendations were spot-on and the descriptions he gave of each dish were very detailed and informed. The food was fantastic—each dish was beautifully presented and delicious! Thank you Mike for the outstanding service! This is a place I’ll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend!

Really wonderful evening. Atmosphere was wonderful. Server Mike was fantastic. All of his recommendations were spot on. Cocktails were fantastic. Short ribs and paella were both fantastic. Cheesecake and strawberry shortcake for dessert were both devoured. Not a crumb was left. Will be back forsure!

Best restaurant to dine in in Prince George. The atmosphere and interior design resemble western movies 🎬 My partner and I had our birthday's dinner served here in April 2025. We had a New York Striploin (steak) & Lamb Shank that were cooked perfectly, and it was marinated tastefully, thanks to the great kitchen crew Takio and Amanda. Beforehand, we had 2 special cocktails (I don't remember the names😁) smelling and tasting great. Since it was our birthday, we were offered a free cheesecake, which I must say it was the best one I ever had. Afterward, the staff accommodated a surprise moment for my partner and when my friends brought a cake. Mike, the best restaurant coordinator ever provided our group of 4 with herbal tea and coffee and surprisingly when we asked for the bill, he said it was for free (man it could cost over $40 somewhere else). I must say a million times thanks to Mike for coordinating the moment, the handsome barman Justin and the skillful kitchen crew Takio and Amanda for creating such a memorable night for us. 5 star is not enough for this gem, I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Let's get the bad news out of the way first: I had the turkey dinner, and look, it was a culinary flatline. It was pretty bland, and definitely needed a little salt, but the presentation was all the hype. It was the kind of dish that makes you grateful for tap water. I'm choosing to believe that the Thanksgiving special was just a ridiculous, one-off incident and that the regular menu is not trying to actively put me to sleep. But here is the absolute truth, and why this place gets the top rating: The atmosphere is 10 stars. Seriously, I don't care if the food is just okay when the lights are this good. This place has the most romantic ambiance that you can hope to bring your sweet one to. They've basically bottled the concept of "date night" and injected it into the drywall. It's classy, it's intimate, and it makes you look better than you actually are. So, go here. Bring your date. Order something that isn't the turkey. And let the atmosphere do all the heavy lifting for your evening. It’s worth it.

The best meal and service we have had on a LONG time. Where do I begin? The building is gorgeous and it’s was drew us in initially but as soon as we sat down we knew this would be a special experience. Mike (owner? Partner?) such a friendly gentleman crafted a few special on menu and off menu cocktails for us. What a treat! All of them were delicious but the Smokey one was unbelievable. Then comes the food and it was not any less delicious. The honey Brie - don’t sleep on that while it’s still on the menu. Honestly we can’t wait to be back. Thank you TC for such a special night out while we’re visiting on rather stressful circumstances for a medical trip.

We had yet another great meal. The feature mussels were fabulous served with fries and a great dip. A few more pieces of baguette would be appreciated to sop up the sauce. Lamb shank was very tender. The burning rosemary grapefruit cocktail looked and smelled amazing. Service was attentive ama friendly.

Truly a devastating culinary experience. The service was great; the food bordered on traumatic it was so bad. The Risotto and cheese appetizer was presented like fish sticks. It was deep fried sticks of “risotto” which proved to simply be mushy flavourless rice. I don’t know what part cheese was suppose to play, but it never made an appearance. The scallops were terrible; and for some reason there was more of the flavourless mush masquerading as Risotto underneath the scallops. My Eggplant Parmesan was wet. There was a huge amount of it served and I wished there wasn’t. There wasn’t a single flavour in the entire dish except for the balsamic vinaigrette on the plate which was by far the best part of the dish. I was absolutely baffled to find Risotto underneath the eggplant Parmesan. The Paella was almost a crime. There wasn’t a crispy bottom layer; it was just what was essential the Risotto AGAIN in a mushy messy with no flavour and the mussels were so undercooked I was scared to eat it. I don’t know how you can call something a Paella without a socarrat. The prawns seemed like they were boiled from frozen with absolutely nothing for seasoning or even butter. Boring is an understatement. And then the bill. $130 before the tip. We drank water and had no dessert and were charged fine dining prices for the worst meal I can remember. Again, our waitress was excellent. No complaints there. I don’t know if they somehow found themselves with an excess of Risotto and were just trying to offload it; but it was unforgivable. I’m not a review writer and probably would have let this go, until we got the bill. If you value flavour and respect food in the slightest, I would suggest giving this place a pass.

Just finished our first experience at The Twisted Cork! Amazing atmosphere, great food, and wonderful service. Lamb shank fell off the bone and the lobster stuffed chicken was most excellent. Only negative was we were too full for desert! Justin was great - awesome recommendations and one of a kind signature cocktails - thanks Justin! See ya on our next visit.

I have dined at OM Pizza Bar Cafe on two occasions, and on both visits, I indulged in their delectable Butter Chicken dish. The quality of the food was outstanding! The employees were incredibly friendly and provided exceptional service. Based on my experience, I can confidently say that when I visit Prince George again, this restaurant will be a definite stop for me. It is truly a remarkable establishment; it's astonishing why it took me so long to explore their delightful cuisine.
We have been going to Om since they opened and they never disappoint! Om was one of the first places we went to after my son was born and we ventured out into the world again. I'll never forget while we were eating our delicious appetizers his Sister Meghan, who we've know for years at the Bonnet Eatery, asked to hold him so we could scarf down our food. She showed him around the restaurant and kept him entertained so we cold have 5 minutes to ourselves. Every time we come they bring us special kid plates and utensils and make him something special that he scarfs down. We have come for breakfast many times, I would recommend the Masala omelet, the subtle spice goes great with the omelet. I usually add Sriracha to my eggs so this really hits the spot for me. My wife loves the fruit bowl, they always have the best fruit and the quantity is very generous. Did I mention they hosted a traditional Robbie Burns Supper? Amit deserves a lot of credit for creating a welcoming atmosphere, he always come around and chats and we trade stories about our kids. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This place gives you a masterclass in frustration marketing. You get the glorious email notification: Your food is ready! So you jump in the car, drive your ten minutes, and then you arrive, ready for dinner, only to sit around and wait for another five minutes. That’s not a pickup system; that’s a power move. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I don't need my order confirmation; I need a realistic completion time, you maniacs! But let's pivot to the true villain of the evening: the dessert. I only ordered it because they were all out of cheesecake but still happily let me order it online. They know their system is broken, and they won't fix it. So I grudgingly took the infamous apple crisp, which I can only describe as absolute dog water. It is something that genuinely shouldn't even exist in this world. It tastes like sadness and bad life choices. So, yeah, Daddio's. Fix your damn online ordering and burn that apple crisp. Your pizza better be saving lives, because between the wait and the desert fiasco, I've checked this off the list even if the $15 calzone was mid at best.

Really enjoyed their smash burger special. 10/10 and an amazing price. Oct 11th, had the French onion soup special... Also delicious!

Husband and i were welcomed right away, our pizza was cooked a little too long, flavor was really good. The fish and chips were nice, interesting flavors. Only thing that was too much, every sound echoed very loudly in building. Loved how happy all the other customers looked. I look forward to going back to try the brunch menu.

Excellent, attentive service and delicious and unique fusion food options. They were slammed before the Bryan Adams concert but were timely in getting us a table, our food, and checking in with us. If you are vegetarian they have a ton of options for you. I'll be going back.

I've been here twice and I really like this restaurant. The food and drinks are simple, tasty, and affordable. It can get very loud on karaoke night (Saturdays at 7), but otherwise I love the atmosphere. I'm happy to support this local business.
