Bracebridge is a popular gateway to Ontario’s Muskoka region, known for its scenic location along the Muskoka River and close to numerous lakes and waterfalls, including the town’s namesake falls. Visitors come for boating, canoeing, and swimming in summer, and snowmobiling, skiing, and snowshoeing in winter. The compact downtown features local shops, eateries, and historic buildings, while nearby parks and trails offer easy access to nature. Seasonal events and markets give the town a classic small‑Ontario cottage-country atmosphere.
With favorites like Santa's Village: Muskoka's Theme Park, Patterson Kaye Resort & Seasons Restaurant, and Muskoka Brewery, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like The Burger Shop and Patterson Kaye Resort & Seasons Restaurant so you can get the best taste of Bracebridge while you’re here. Santa's Village, located in the picturesque town of Bracebridge, Muskoka, is a delightful Christmas-themed amusement park that has been captivating families for over 60 years. Spanning across 60 acres along the scenic Muskoka River, this enchanting destination offers an array of attractions suitable for both children and adults. Visitors can enjoy thrilling activities like go-karts, mini-golf, zip-lining, and rock-climbing while also taking part in seasonal events such as dog shows and Hawaiian luaus.
It was our first time at Santa Village, and the kids had an absolute blast — and so did the parents! This is truly a must-visit destination for families with young children. Despite the sunny weather, the festive atmosphere and all the rides kept everyone entertained. There’s a great variety of attractions, especially for toddlers, and everything is very family-friendly. The highlight for us was seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus outside, warmly greeting every visitor — such a magical touch! The Yeti Ride was definitely a favorite for our family. We’re already planning to come back in winter to experience the full Christmas vibe. Highly recommended for a magical family outing!

I went to Santa’s Village with my family and honestly, I had never heard of it before. When we arrived, I was really surprised by how much fun it was! The new Yeti roller coaster was a blast — my kids loved it and we went on it many, many times. The whole place has a great family vibe and lots to do for kids of all ages. Just a heads up, there are only a few food stands, so it’s best to plan ahead and line up early for lunch before the crowds. Overall, it was a fantastic family day and we’ll definitely be back!

10 Stars, great place to take the family, likely to be enjoyed by kids under 10 but still great for all, staff at all the rides and venues are super friendly not like most Carneys, only food is extra and a few additional like Elf ID card etc, not constant cash grab , there is a gift shop at entrance/ exit. Food was good, rides were good and Yeti coaster was excellent. Great value for your money, free parking even, went on a Saturday and no wait in any line, absolutely amazing experience. Recommend 100%

We had an amazing time at Santa Village! The natural surroundings are absolutely beautiful — tall trees, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a true getaway from the city. It’s the perfect place for families, especially with young kids. The attractions are really well done and fun for all ages. Our children had a blast exploring all the rides and activities. Everything felt safe, clean, and well-organized. What really stood out to us was the Halloween event — it was magical! The decorations, costumes, and themed activities created such a fun and spooky atmosphere without being too scary for the little ones. It was clear that a lot of thought and effort went into making it special. Santa Village is a fantastic destination for a day trip or weekend adventure with the family. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Spent the day at Santa's Village with the family. An annual trip to Santa's Village is a family tradition and we always look forward to it. The weather was hot today but it didn't bother us at all as we were able to remain cool thanks to the breeze coming off the water and blowing through the trees. That is one of the things I love about Santa's Village, that it is nestled in amongst the trees along the riverside. The rides are great and the natural setting is a beautiful bonus. This visit we were able to test out the new roller-coaster The Yeti! It got two thumbs up from every member of the family except the youngest. We also rode on our family favourite rides like Santa's Summer Sleigh, The train, and the Pepermint Penguin. We decided to give the Yule Log a try for lunch and we're pleasantly surprised. Service was fast and friendly and there was something on the menu to please everyone. Added bonus was the AC and washrooms inside. The highlight of Papa's day was attending Elf School. A fun time was had by all! It is always worth the drive to Bracebridge as every summer needs a bit of Christmas magic!

My wife and I took our daughter. We went this year during the Halloween Spooktacular. She loved the rides had a blast. This is a great family fun park. 2nd time we have gone here, will take her again. Staff was also really friendly. Ohh and got to meet Santa early. Highly recommend for family fun

Fantastic Halloween visit at Santa’s Village—festive, friendly, and perfectly not‑too‑scary for kids. The Pumpkin in the Pines trail, cheerful inflatables, and riverside photo spots made it feel truly magical, and staff kept lines moving and areas spotless. Big thumbs up for the new Yeti Trek coaster: smooth, zippy, and just the right dose of thrills for families without being intimidating. Five stars for a well‑run, memory‑making fall day—we’ll be back!
Eric H — Google review
We stopped here on our way to Huntsville and had such a great time! I visited as a kid, but it was even better coming back with my family. Our daughter loved every part of the day—especially the elf training! The rides were a lot of fun for the whole family, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The lines weren’t too bad, and we were pleasantly surprised that the food and ice cream were very reasonably priced. The Yeti Trek Rollercoaster is definitely a must-do! We’ll most likely be back again next summer for another fun visit.

Muskoka Cruises offers a variety of experiences for those who love being on the water. The Lady Muskoka boat cruise presents two options: the Millionaires Row or Sunset Dinner, both taking passengers along the Muskoka River and into Lake Muskoka. On the Millionaires Row cruise, travelers can spot wildlife, admire nearby cottages, and catch a glimpse of the famous millionaires row where celebrities are known to reside.
Just went on this cruise today (October 16, 2024) with my family. It was really nice. The fall foliage is really beautiful. There's still some green but nonetheless beautiful. Staff and captain were both very friendly. It was a bit cold but there's lots of space inside the ship with heat. The top deck has really nice views. Definitely recommend especially in the fall!

Today we undertook a voyage with MUSKOKA CRUISES SCENIC WATER ADVENTURES. We had a fantastic time; the boat was meticulously clean and the staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We discovered many interesting facts about the area. We took the trip in Bracebridge this time..we definitely recommend
Diane — Google review
Fun way to spend a sunny day, on a beautiful and colourful fall. The cruise lasts about an hour and a half and you navigate at a slow speed through the river and get to see everything Bracebridge has to offer. I would definitely recommend doing this with the family as it is a nice a relaxing plan. We did it with a 6 month old baby and it was great.

It is suggested to make prior reservations. They can be done online. We went on the Muskoka River cruise. It was nice. This is a slow ride as it is a "no wake" zone. We enjoyed the ride!

I had the pleasure of supporting a client with developmental delays on this Muskoka River Cruise, and I cannot say enough about the experience. Both Captain Redge and Captain Cameron went above and beyond! They were incredibly accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable, making us feel completely at ease. The atmosphere on board was filled with such good energy, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. This company truly delivers an experience that is welcoming and memorable for everyone. I couldn’t recommend Muskoka Cruises more highly and I look forward to booking in guests from my own business in the future.

Love the cruise. The crew was very friendly.

I was rather disappointed. This is the second time I have been on this tour at Bracebridge. The first time was about 6 years ago on the Lady Muskoka proper . Now it out of sevice and a B&B. Sad.This vessel was wonderful. They served food, had tons of room, and a strong interpretive element that told the rich history of and life in the Muskokas. Fast forward to today , Aug 7, 2023, Smaller vessel, ok amount of room, no food (in fact all they had was 3 bags of chips and a modest amount of pop to do a 90 minute cruise...and I am not exaggerating at all) and absolutely no interpretive event and way, way shorter length. While the 2 man crew was friendly, this was the ultimate in a no frills , barebones cruise. I have ever been on a cruise that did not tell the story of where you are and what it means. And it was far too short. The only saving grace to an otherwise unsatisfactory cruise was the scenery which was as always quite nice. But please make this trip more interesting. And fix the benches at the dock! They are falling apart and becoming a saftey hazard!
Robert T — Google review
This one-and-a-half-hour river cruise along the banks of the river offers stunning views of county cottages, parks, and Bracebridge Falls. It's undoubtedly the best way to experience the charm of Bracebridge town.

Kirby's Beach is a popular spot in Bracebridge, located on the picturesque Lake Muskoka. The sandy beach area is surrounded by a grassy play and picnic area, playground, washrooms, and ample parking. The shallow water makes it safe for children to play and splash around. It's a bustling destination during summer holidays with clean water for swimming. Despite size constraints, there are picnic tables and shaded areas available.
Kirby's Beach near Bracebridge in the Muskoka area is a hidden gem! The beach was very clean and well-maintained, with some basic but essential facilities like washrooms, changing rooms, and a few benches to relax on. The sandy beach was quite good, and the water was clean with a nice depth—perfect for swimming. My friends and I had a really good time enjoying the sun, water, and peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and pleasant beach day in Muskoka

Serene beach with near clear water. We visited with family and friends. Perfect outdoor place for the summer. The only drawback is no changing rooms and washrooms are stinky

This beach is honestly one of the most beautiful we’ve seen! It has an amazing view and a peaceful atmosphere. In our opinion, it’s definitely one of the most charming and enjoyable beaches in the area — a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery.

Food & Drink
Muskoka Brewery, established in 1996, is a renowned craft beer producer offering free daily tours. Visitors can explore the brewing process, visit the lab to ensure quality standards, and sample beers in the taproom. Located in Bracebridge, Ontario, it's a popular spot for beer enthusiasts. The brewery is known for its cream ale and Detour IPA.
Muskoka Brewery is a legend. There's no denying its influence or that of its well known Mad Tom line of IPAs. However, their Festbier, a German Oktoberfest amber lager is out-of-this-world! Darker than expected for a lager (that would be the amber part of its parentage) the festbier is full-bodied, leaning more heavily towards the malty characteristics of an amber than a lager. The Winter Beard nitro stout is that rare creature -- a light, creamy, almost effervescent stout that bubbles with life without being too sweet.
Sanjeewa A — Google review
Muskoka Brewery is a great stop if you’re in the area. They’ve got a solid selection of drinks to choose from, whether you're into craft beer or just trying something new. The place has a relaxed, vacation-y vibe — perfect for a casual afternoon. They also have some really cute merch and even a few fun, fragrant hand soaps that caught my attention. All in all, it’s a cozy, welcoming spot that fits right in with the laid-back Muskoka feel. And don’t forget to play a quick round of cornhole while you’re there P.S. — the images isn’t of the brewery itself, it’s from the Muskoka cruise — just wanted to share the overall feel of the place!
Dhruva — Google review
Very cozy place with a great atmosphere and delicious beer! Each beer has its own character — it’s a joy to try them all. The staff is super friendly, and you feel like you’re visiting old friends. We’ll definitely be back!

A remarkable beer shop and brewery in Muskoka. They sell various beer with different flavours and they also have beer that is almost zero alcohol for young adult to drink with parental guidance.

Detour ISA it’s the best Canadian beer. It’s just perfect. One the best beer recipe around the world. Should be sold everywhere not only in Canada, other countries should know what’s this guy do.
Paolo L — Google review
Was a fantastic stop on our way to Algonquin! Awesome beer selection and a cozy, welcoming vibe. The tall guy behind the bar was on another level. I accidentally ordered the wrong drink, and he immediately offered to replace it without any hesitation. I tried the beer flight with the bartender’s choice, and you could tell he really put thought into the selection. It really made my day after a long drive from Waterloo.
Kenneth C — Google review
I like the IPAs from Muskoka Brewery. We had two flights, the IPA and the Adventurer. The Pineapple Ninja is very fruity. Love the Hazed, juicy IPA. However, I favourite is the Nitro Latte, the foam is very creamy and actually tasted like coffee. They don’t have much food options there as the food truck isn’t there, so we had to settle for the pretzel with beer dip. I feel like the pretzel was just heated up by a microwave, and it is very tasty with all the salt sprinkled on top, the dip is also very salty, maybe they want you to consume more beer that way. However, with the pretty and dip at $17, I really would recommend people to stay away from it.

The Burger Shop in Bracebridge is the ideal destination for those craving top-notch burgers. Offering a variety of burger options and using premium Country Smith Creamery ice cream from a locally-owned Peterborough establishment, The Burger Shop stands out as an all-in-one culinary haven.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We’re visiting Bracebridge and stopped at The Burger Shop — amazing experience! The Canadian and The Valentine burgers were delicious, made with fresh, locally sourced beef. Friendly service, and the owner even checked in with us. Locally owned, great vibe — highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Burger Shoppe is back – and better than ever! After being closed for a year for a major renovation, they reopened in summer 2025 with a whole new look. What was once a fun, almost cartoonish family spot (I still remember the retro candy corner!) has now grown up into something sleek, stylish, and fresh. The new design is beautiful: clean lines, a bar with its own seating area, and even a tucked-away booth near the bar that comfortably seats 6–7 for a little more privacy. The ice cream shoppe is still here (plus a second downtown location by the falls), and the food is just as fantastic as I remember – if not better. These are easily some of the best gourmet burgers in Muskoka. My Uptown Burger was perfection: sautéed mushrooms and onions in red wine, a little arugula, and their homemade patties cooked medium on a gourmet bun. Pure burger magic. The fries? Thin, crisp, and excellent. Pro tip: double dip in the complimentary garlic aioli and a side of gravy for an over-the-top experience. They’ve expanded the menu too, with other handhelds that all sound delicious, and from what I hear they’re rolling out fun weeknight theme promotions that will be a must-try. Yes, the year-long closure impacted local momentum, but the team is working hard to win back year-round regulars. They deserve it – the energy, food, and service are all first-rate. Speaking of service, a HUGE thank you to Rachel for taking such great care of me tonight. First-rate service with a smile, the perfect mix of conversation and attentiveness – she made the evening. If you haven’t been since the renovation, do yourself a favour and come back to “try it again for the first time.” The Burger Shoppe has truly levelled up.

We went inside to get seated then asked if we could be seated in the patio and she said we could be seated wherever outside so we did but we weren’t given a menu or anything. Just left sitting out here. 10 minutes later, i decided to get my own menus. Then we waited another 5 minutes and still no service. Can’t speak to the food as we left to be served somewhere else but they were understaffed for sure, with i think only one server of food but two servers for the ice cream and 1 for the bar. Prices were definitely high though

Got the cheese burger poutine only it said it had pickles.... Lost a star for not including what I read in the menu. Great food. No complaints was worth buying it. They layered the gravy was really good how they put the meal together. Was really impressed as I watched them. Will be coming back again when I'm town

Came here today and will definitely be back. I had the uptown burger ( one of the best burgers I have ever had) and hubby had the Canadian burger. Service was fantastic and the food came quickly and was delicious

Regarding the veggie sandwich, the order deviated from the menu specifications. Specifically, the spinach was omitted, and an excessive amount of green peppers was included. Furthermore, the guacamole appeared discolored, and the balsamic glaze was absent. Photographic evidence is available to support these observations. Based on this experience, a personal recommendation cannot be provided. The menu lists the Veggie Sandwich at $16, featuring grilled zucchini and red onion with roasted red pepper, spinach, goat cheese, guacamole, and a side of balsamic glaze.

We went mini golfing, and kept smelling fries (they smelled so good), so we knew we had to come here for dinner after. We sat outside, which was nice, but the service was very slow. It took quite a while for the server to come back and take our orders after we got our menus. No one checked on us. The food arrived in good time (not too fast, but about the usual amount of time it takes at most restaurants). I got a Thunder Crunch sandwich with fries, and I really enjoyed it. There were lots of ice cream and dessert options, which we didn’t try this time, but I would like to go back to try them. The food was great but the service could have been better.

Just came for dinner- can't say anything about the resort really. Wonderful Muskoka gem!! A great spot for a special occasion in the dining room or a casual bite on the patio. Chef is amazing as all the food was wonderful. 3 of us had the Saturday Prime Rib special and ate every bite!! Fourth had the trout special and it was light and tender. Free birthday dessert was a lovely treat. Staff was friendly and attentive. Owner checked in with us and obviously really cares. We will be back!!

Resturant waitress struggles with understanding how tips work. We told her the total to put on the card, as doing basic math it was a 20% tip. She told us "that's only a 10% tip, here the minimum tip to leave is 20%". For example, a 60$ bill would be a 12$ 20% tip. I don't need to include the tax. She didn't give me the bill or receipt after I paid. She snatched them both from my hands immediately after I paid. Friendly reminder tips are not necessary. Will not return.

My husband and i made reservations for dinner at 5:30 tonight. We were the only ones there when we arrived. I asked the older, dark haired waitress if we could sit in the shade as i was on antbiotics and they reacted badly when sitting in the sun. She said no, that all the other tables were reserved (as we were) and sat us in the sun. After we ate and left, only two tables had people at them (approx 8 tables were empty and in the shade).... she was just being difficult. You just lost our business.

We love Seasons, the Patterson Kaye Restaurant for special gatherings of family and friends. The food is supetb (roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, steaks and pasta) and the service is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Had dinner with 3 others. The location is amazing with a view of the river joining lake Muskoka. The atmosphere was relaxed. The patio was beautiful. I had the fish and chips special which was very reasonably priced and delicious. The portions were surprisingly large. Our table also enjoyed the steak and chicken breast, and those meals were excellent as well. I gotta admit I was expecting a bit upscale and pretentious, but from the drinks to the food through to dessert, we were all very happy with the relaxed atmosphere, amazing food, good prices and spectacular setting. I will undoubtedly return and would give a very high recommendation.

Thank you for you gorgeous wedding flowers! The sunflowers were just beautiful and I appreciated the ease of communication via email and telephone. The Roses were very nice & it was a focal point in our party. Their cooperation with our venue went smooth & she loved her Roses. Thanks for all your help. Highly recommended.

Christine was absolutely wonderful in the planning and execution of our wedding bouquets. We had much back and forth due to postponing our day, and rejigging quantities/what we wanted. Christine was always so responsive and supportive. I gave her a color scheme to work with the bouquets with no clear direction on florals per say, and they exceeded my expectations.

Horrible customer service. Couldn't get me out of the place fast enough. Flowers purchased for a funeral, almost $400, were dead upon arrival to the funeral home. Had friends gift flowers from here as a sympathy bouquet, and they died within 24 hours. Would not recommend for anything going forward.

I got bouquets and a half floral crown done through Seasons in the Country for our wedding in Muskoka and they were truly lovely to work with. Our wedding was initially postponed and later down-sized due to COVID and Christine was so accommodating and flexible. I loved the florals she created and they looked beautiful on our tables during dinner. And my floral crown was so dainty and perfect. Thank you! I would definitely recommend your services to anyone getting married or needing flowers for an occasion in Muskoka!

We used Seasons in the Country for our fall wedding. We gave them a few photos of what we liked from Pinterest, and gave them complete control over the style within our price-point. We wanted a simple, full, traditional design and boy did they deliver! Communication was awesome before and on the day of our wedding. Prices were very reasonable. Thank you to your awesome team!
