We visited the Botanical Garden in Ooty and had a great time. The garden is very clean, green, and well-maintained. It has a wide variety of flowers, plants, and big trees that make the place look beautiful and fresh. Walking around the garden was peaceful and relaxing. There are open spaces, shaded areas, and plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings. It’s also a nice place for taking photos and spending quiet time with family or friends. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot in Ooty for anyone who enjoys nature. We really enjoyed our visit and would love to go again!

Tibetan market is a bustling place in the evening and is just outside the Botanical Garden. You can get a lot of things here from Bakery items to street food to toys and different kinds of items as Souvenirs. Visit in the evening times for a better experience.

The market is a great spot for picking up winter clothing for all age groups. Prices are generally fixed, so don’t expect much room for bargaining. I’d recommend browsing through a few shops before making a purchase, while rates are mostly within the same range, it helps to compare styles and quality. We had visited this small wax Museum located on the road to Tea Factory during our trip to Ooty 1st week of june in 2025. Entrance tickets are priced at ₹50 per person and for mobile photography priced at ₹10. The Museum is a small one showcasing wax idols of Mahatma Gandhi, Jesus Christ, Netaji Subhas Chandra, Sai Baba, Shivaji Maharaja and more. We did not visit the adjacent horror house.

The museum houses life-size wax statues of famous personalities from history, culture, and politics, as well as some depictions of traditional Indian village life. The craftsmanship is decent, though not on the same level as international wax museums like Madame Tussauds. Still, it provides a good insight into art and creativity. I really loved this place.. We could see the various processes involved in tea leaves processing all the way till it's packaged. The entry fee is 20 per head, where we could see the entire factory,the various processes,a cup of tea,sample chocolates from chocolate area -- so for 20 bucks , it's so much worthy Also the view from the top is so good 🔥 with the mountains and the Ooty town below. The tea factory and museum in Ooty, located on Doddabetta road. It is local Tea manufacturing factory. The factory is open to public to see the process of production, from plucking of tea leaves to packaging. While entering inside the factory they provide hand band for identification purposes. Entry fee is just Rs.20 and they offer tea to taste for free at the end of the visit. The factory also has a outlet where visitors can purchase tea available in various flavours, like cardoman tea, chocolate tea, green tea etc.( Available in half and one Kg packets) There is also a chocolate factory along with tea factory. While entering the chocolate factory they will give few chocolates to taste. You can also purchase homemade chocolate from here. There is also an adventure club in front of the factory where you can try out various adventurous sports.

Since I reached here at 9:00 a.m., the starting time, I was able to see the process from the very beginning. It was a nice experience to observe the various stages of tea production.Different types of tea powder are available at the factory outlet. Adjacent to it, there is also a chocolate factory.

A very well planned, designed and maintained garden exclusively for Roses... With over 100's of varieties its a feast to our eyes... Kudos to the department officials and the numerous staff members who work tirelessly for the upkeep of this vast area... The garden layout is designed over 4 levels... With well planned layout of variety of rose plants... The staff are courteous... And knowledgeable about the plants, etc... They patiently answer to our queries... Only thing is you should be able to converse in the local language - Tamil. They also have a sles counter... Selling a range of saplings... A definite must visit place... For a calm, serene time... With nature blooming....

I visited the Ooty Rose Garden with a lot of excitement because every time I’ve gone in the past, it was full of colourful roses and truly eye-relaxing views. But this time, I was honestly shocked. There were almost no roses at all, and the entire place looked empty and dull. It felt completely waste to visit. I even asked the workers there, and they said May is the peak season, so that’s why there were no blooms now. Maybe that is true, but still I didn’t expect the garden to look this plain. I went only because of the beautiful memories I had from previous visits, but this time it was very disappointing. I hope they maintain it better throughout the year or at least inform visitors about the off-season, because people travel a long way expecting to see roses.

The restaurant may seem very much like a 5 star hotel but most of the food are not available. And at the same time to get your ordered food it takes more than 30 mins (as included in the picture majority are waiting for food even though they reached way early).they only serve limited amount of food and have high price on them too. The restaurant staff doesn't give the priority to the customer as expected. Overall wouldn't visit this restaurant if you are someone expecting to enjoy food and time with your family or friends.

Stayed at Ponmari Residency and found it to be decent for a short stay. The rooms were fairly clean and spacious, though the interiors felt a bit dated and could use some refurbishment. The staff were polite but service was sometimes slow, especially in the restaurant. The food at the in-house restaurant was okay—some dishes were good, while others were quite average in taste. Location-wise, the hotel is convenient and close to main attractions, which was a plus. Overall, it’s an acceptable option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly place, but don’t expect anything too fancy.

Worst then train’s Rs.50/- Biriyani. Charged 220. Don’t eat here. I will never have food in my rest of life or will not recommend to anyone.

This review is about the staff's behavior, not the food. We had to make an emergency stop because my sister was very sick with diarrhea and urgently needed a restroom. We politely explained the medical situation, and a staff member allowed her to use the facilities. To our shock, after she came out, the staff's attitude completely changed. They rudely demanded we pay ₹100 just for using the washroom. We reminded them that in India, it is a social responsibility and considered a punishable offense to deny a woman access to a washroom in an emergency. They did not care about the situation, only about the money. To end the horrible confrontation, we paid the ₹100 and made sure to get a receipt. This restaurant showed a complete lack of basic human decency and respect for women.

This restaurant is really spacious and well maintained. It's looks really beautiful too. Tried their Mushroom roast ( dosa with masala mushroom filling) and was like ok ok.. The mushroom pieces were too small which I didn't personally like,should have been bigger. Their tea is also pretty decent with decent sides. So anywhere near Ooty town, you can definitely try this spot. They have Buffet break options tooo

After seeing the Google reviews, we decided to visit this place. They serve both veg and non-veg food, and we tried the non-veg dishes in the lunch time, it was a disappointing/worst experience. Because of the crowd they converted a meeting hall into a dining area and quickly cleaned it before asking us to sit. The receptionist just sat quietly while people were waiting and searching for tables. The food seemed to be prepared in a hurry and was not properly cooked. The prices are like a star hotel, but the quality and quantity are not even close to roadside food. Better to avoid , waste of money and not hygiene food and the location. If you don't have a option to search location , then u try here.

Angaara offers a good dining experience overall. The Butter Garlic Prawns were absolutely out of this world — a must-try! While the rest of the dishes were quite good, it was disappointing that none of the items from their Arabic menu were available during my visit. Still, a place worth visiting for tasty food and solid service.

The Ambience is nice but the food is below average. The expectations with the brand name for food is done not reached. Need improvement in the taste. We have ordered fried rice which tastes like normal white rice only.

Visited Angaara Restaurant in Ooty and honestly, the overall experience was not satisfying. 🍲 Clear Soup – The soup was just average. Nothing special in flavour or presentation. 🍛 Chicken Biryani (₹400) – Completely not worth the price. Taste was below average, and the chicken pieces were very rubbery, making it unpleasant to eat. 🥗 Curd Salad for biriyani – Extremely sour, couldn't enjoy even a few bites. 🍗 Tandoori Chicken – Average taste. The mint chutney served as a dip was so sour that it was almost inedible. Chilly Chicken – This was the only dish that was actually good. Well-cooked and full of flavour. 🚨 Hygiene Issue – When the plates were first served, they had a strong unpleasant smell. Requested a new one – even the second plate had the same issue. After asking again, finally got a proper plate after 15–20 minutes. This was a major letdown and shows lack of basic hygiene. 🚗 Parking Problem – No on-site parking. You’ll have to walk 200 meters to reach the nearest paid parking (₹50/hour), which is highly inconvenient, especially in a tourist place like Ooty. ⭐ Final Verdict: 2/5

Everything about this place was just right. Good quality food, good portion size, and everything was delicious! We tried the chicken chettinad, chicken Angara, naan and ghee rice. Everything tasted very nice, we even had their brownies, which was also quite nice The service was good, didn't have to wait for too long. Slightly on the pricier side, but it's like a solid choice for a good meal, especially while you're travelling The ambience was quite nice too, and the place was kept neat and clean. We were overall very happy with everything!

Some waiter's action were not good and they also missed a item that I ordered. Rest the Food and ambience were awesome, also the manager himself visited every table for feedback.

We came all the way from Mysore to Ooty with a big group of 25 family members to celebrate our cousin’s anniversary — specifically to dine at this hotel, and it truly lived up to its legacy :) Manager Zuhaib Khan and his team made us feel completely at home and quickly arranged the entire top floor just for us. There were kids in the group who were a bit loud at times, but the staff stayed friendly and welcoming throughout. The ambiance was lovely, prices were reasonable, and the food was fantastic. Biryani was a crowd favourite, desserts were delightful, and the chefs were happy to tweak dishes to suit our taste. A truly memorable experience!

I can say its best vegetarian restaurant in ooty as of now. Loved all the varieties we ordered and staff is prompt n helpful. Serving customers with a gentle smile on face. Loved the taste of food ( though we ordered chats n savouries both the time) but it was upto the mark. They were surprising guestures by giving complimentary food items. Their staff Mr. Abdur rehman ( if i remember correctly) was great at serving people. All other staff were equally great 👍. Kids loved it too.

Loved the Butter Roti – soft and just the right amount of butter. The Veg Soup was light, warm, and comforting, especially in the Ooty weather. Clean place, quick service, and good vibes overall. Worth a visit for North Indian food lovers!

Food is tasty. This is perhaps one of the few authentic North Indian flavours in Ooty. Service was excellent and Mr. Anurag Singh ensured that we get food on time. While we were waiting for food, he engaged us by explaining the history of the restaurant. A very warm experience and I am sure I will come back multiple times.

Absolutely terrible experience with Kailash Parbhat, Ooty. I placed two separate orders, and both were disappointing in different ways — clearly showing this place has zero control over quality or hygiene. For the first order, I had ordered paranthas with dahi for my sick senior parents. What we received was frozen yogurt in both containers instead of fresh dahi. It was rock solid and completely inedible — not something you expect from a restaurant that’s supposed to care about its customers, especially when the meal was for unwell elders. Still, I decided to let it go and gave them another chance, assuming it might have been a one-time issue. But for the second order, things got even worse. This time, I found a long hair in the food (photo attached). That’s not just disappointing — it’s disgusting and absolutely unhygienic. How can a place serve food in such condition? It’s clear there’s no basic cleanliness or quality check happening in their kitchen. Finding a hair in food is bad enough, but it’s even more infuriating when you realize you trusted them again after a bad first experience. This is pure negligence and complete disregard for food safety. If I could give zero stars, I would. Kailash Parbhat Ooty needs a serious inspection by health authorities. I’ll never be ordering from here again and strongly urge others to stay far away from this restaurant if you care about hygiene, quality, or basic decency in food service.

Horrible food. No taste and no flavour profile whatsoever. No courtesy to fill up water glasses. Had to ask multiple times. We ordered papad which didnt arrive even after the main course. Confused staff thought its a fresh order, staff was clueless. Coming to the food, it was rly bad. I mean basic gravies arent even that difficult. We ordered jalfrezi veg which was so sweet it felt like a dessert. Thanfully they replaced it with veg kadai which had uncooked masala. The paneer butter masala was nothing like the name suggests. We ordered three gravies at exorbitant price, lets just say we ate till we felt tummy is sufficiently stuffed and left. Ended up going to another restaurant because of the bad experience here.

We had amazing food in our every visit. They kept on giving us complimentary chats on our every visit. We enjoyed their bhatura platter. Bahrul was attending us. He guided us in selecting menu and arranged all the complimentary food. Loved itttttt 😍

Visited the Tamil Nadu Tourism Boat House during my trip to Ooty. The location is beautiful, right by the scenic Ooty Lake, and the surroundings are quite peaceful. The boating itself was enjoyable — we tried the pedal boat and had a relaxing 30-minute ride on the water. However, the lake water was quite dirty, with visible litter and a foul smell in some areas. It took away from the natural beauty and made the experience feel a bit disappointing. The boats themselves were functional, but some looked like they needed maintenance. The surroundings, including the waiting area and restrooms, weren’t very clean either. It’s a decent spot for a quick visit, especially if you're already at Ooty Lake, but the authorities really need to improve cleanliness and maintenance to make it more enjoyable for tourists. For now, it’s an okay experience — worth visiting if you’re in Ooty, but don’t set your expectations too high.

It's an amazing place to visit. The Ooty lake is one of the best lakes I have ever visited. The boating area is also quite large, and the nature is attractive. It was foggy on 11th Nov, 2025 the time we visited. Other activities are closed but the boating experience is worth it with the view.

Ooty lake is a significant tourist attraction in the Nilgiri Hills. Boating is the prime attraction here. Tourists can hire paddle boats, row boats and motor boats from the Boat house. There's an amusement park adjacent to the lake which includes a mini toy train ride around the Ooty lake. A song from the popular Bollywood movie Maine Pyar Kiya was famously shot here.

Visited Ooty Boat House and had a great experience. The lake view is beautiful and boating options like pedal, row and motor boats are available. The place also has a small garden, children’s rides and food stalls. Gets crowded during peak time, but overall a must-visit attraction in Ooty.

It's a small lake with various boating options available - pedaling, motor boats, etc. Entrance fee is around Rs 25, car parking is Rs 80, and Motor boat is Rs 825 for 30 mins. Overall, a few mins well spent in the lake. The lake does have a few shops and stuff around for shopping & spending time.

Visited Thunder World with my kids and it was an alright experience. The best thing was Snow world, Dinosaur park & Third eye and rest all was OK. The worst among them are Vortex and infinity because they are nothing. Overall a good place for the kids to enjoy here. The ticket prices are ₹650 for Adults and ₹550 for kids.

Ticket price for this place is 650 per person which covers 11 activities including wax museum, snow world, 5D show and couple of horror related shows along with Crazy car. Wax museum was good. One can take lots of pics with wax celebrities. Snow world experience was below average, accessories (jacket, gloves, shoes) provided were not good. One can take decent pictures though for social media😅. 5-D show: It had to be the worst experience. Staff was least bothered to provide proper instructions. Safety belt should be worn tightly( keep in mind in case one plans to visit). After the show was over, whole body was paining. Crazy car: This is the experience which I enjoyed. One can expect to cover it in an hour or so.Overall for Rs 650, it was okay experience. Kids might enjoy it a great deal.

Surprisingly it as very nice experience. We doesn’t two hours at thunder world. Dinosaur park is perfect of kids while adult will have fun at rainforest and haunted house. We came on weekend with minimal crowd . Will recommmed on weekdays

A good place to visit with family and kids, the wax museum was a different experience. We loved it. But the entry fees was bit high

One of the worst place for family tourists. They don’t know how to behave with kids. Worst and rash behaviour by the staffs and owner. I don’t recommend this place to anyone especially family people. Because after you spend thousands of rupees you will be treated like beggars. And also all the available options are not worth the price. Mist of the machines and kids toys are not working. One lady behaved like goonda with the kids. When i try to ask about this with the manager he also behaved like a local goonda. We totally disappointed by their behaviour. Staffs should know how to treat tourists and their owners also should train them. But here they behaves like goondas. Worst worst worst

Its a good place to visit near ooty lake. You can easily spend 3-4 hours. It has a food court. Good for kids. It is very near to Ooty train station. Dino park, Snow world are very good.

Visited with family. Boating was closed due to heavy rain, but the area was clean and well-managed. Tried the toy train—an average to-and-fro ride. Good restaurants, street food options, ample parking, and plenty of food and raincoat shops nearby.

Visited in October 2025, Nice lake, having ample paid parking based on days, on weekend and public holidays there will be a rush. Having lots of entertainment options for children and adults as well like boating, speed boating, pedal boating. There is also toy train for children's. Plenty of food joints.

I went there without any expectations and was skeptic about the ticket price ₹100, but it came out to be worth it. There's a lot of spots inside which has its own unique vibe. It's a very nice place for families, for taking photos since there numerous places to take a picture. The place was clean and well maintained. I went on a weekday and it was not crowded. Some construction was still going on but the planning is truly good. The only problem we faced is that they only accept cash as payment for ticket, which is hard to arrange. List of few things inside: 1. Garden 2. Shrubs 3. Maze 4. Hanging bridge 5. Fountain 6. Amphitheatre 7. Nursery Overall it was a good experience and and i recommend it to families.

Karnataka Garden in Ooty is a very lush and green place with a huge open space to explore. They even have mini cars/shuttle service for elderly people, which is very helpful. The garden is well-maintained and very clean. The big hanging bridge inside is a major attraction and very enjoyable to walk on. We loved the place and spent more than 3 hours there without getting bored. Overall, a beautiful and relaxing spot—highly recommended! 🌿😊

Karnataka Garden in Ooty is a green oasis with ample space to explore. The Electric shuttle service for elderly people is a thoughtful touch but charged Rs. 200 it's very high. The garden is impeccably maintained and spotless. Hanging bridge is a highlight, Flowers every where. The entry fee is Rs. 100 per head and it's too high.

This place offers a great scenic view. Just loved the place as it is. But they need to maintain the washroom it's too nasty, and unbreathable. They charge 100 rupees per person for the entry but if u need the electric vehicle they charge 200 per person extra and they give a small tour of the garden which is expensive but not worth 300 per person. The location is amazing and offers a joyful experience. Lot of plenty space.

I honestly didn’t expect the hotel to be this good it truly exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with just one call. The manager deserves special appreciation for being so understanding, cooperative, and professional in every way.The owner is so humble too. The service quality is top-notch, and what you get for the price is absolutely unbeatable. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of comfort, care, and value. Highly recommended — I would love to come back again!

Visited the restaurant attached to the hotel. Restaurant on the 4th floor offers both indoor and outdoor dining options which is a plus. Located centrally, directly opposite Ooty lake, makes this hotel/restaurant easy to access. The hotel is on par with premium one's, however, it has its downsides too. Food can take quite some time after ordering (in my case, it was probably 40-45 mins before we were served despite being simple veg and onion pakoda). We had ordered a cup of coffee, maggie and pakodas as there was nothing else available for snacks even though it was 6:30 pm and dinner menu would be open only after 7:30 pm. Though we were the only customers (hence, no crowd or rush)service time was long (it is expected if the dishes served requires such a wait time, but for frying onion pakodas, it was slightly disappointing). I'd not rate the snacks as best as roadside stalls offer better taste comparatively for 5-6 times lesser price. The two cons were the location which offered views of the lake and Ooty centre, plus the politeness of the staff. Apart from that, this restaurant is a skip.

We stayed here for 3 nights in executive non-view rooms (basic). Room is small & basic. Even kettle is not there in room. Location is good. Walking distance from ooty lake. On request, they gave me extra bed for my 5 years old child without extra charge. They have good restaurant indoor as well as outdoor (for view). Breakfast has lots of options & was good. They have pure vegetarian restaurant which is heaven for pure veg people. However pricing is very very high. Example - 70-80rs. For chapati & add 18% GST on it makes it even more pricier. They must think about pricing appropriately. Also no pure veg restaurant is available in nearby atleast 1 km.

I had a wonderful stay at Darshan Hotel, Ooty. The location is excellent, right near Ooty Lake, which gives a beautiful view from the hotel.The staff were polite, helpful, and always ready to assist. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Food quality was good and service was quick. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience. Highly recommended for families and couples visiting Ooty.

This place is situated in the midst of the city, and provides a good view of Ooty. This restaurant is a part of the cottage styled hotel, and has some good cuisines which taste good. Although, the prices of the items are on the higher side and the number of items available is limited. They serve both buffet (with less items available though) and Ala carte, and their staff are polite. The place is well maintained and has a good ambience. I had chicken biryani and paneer 65 here, both of which tasted good. The biryani was prepared well and had good number of chicken pieces, and so did the paneer 65. Overall, it was a good experience here with the only feedback I would provide is about the prices of their cuisines, however, one can have a good experience here, especially if they're staying in their hotels.

We had vegetarian buffet. Which was good! Ample variety ! They asked us if we need anything other than buffet items. And did provided our choice. Staff was super courteous and helpful. Location of Club Mahindra resort where this restaurant is awesome. Nice view of valley in misty clouds. A lot of salads and desserts. Bottle gaurd halwa was amazing. I tried Chilly Pumpkin for first time. Absolutely awesome! I wish you are lucky to get it when you visit them.

Club Mahindra - Derby green, We enjoyed our food, as we're localities we don't often visit here. But we got a chance for one afternoon and had panner tikka and veg manchow soup, both tasted good. The price is a little higher but it's okay for its standard. You can try their items if you'd love to give a treat to your taste buds.

Firstly, people should know that this restaurant is based inside Club Mahindra resort. It’s difficult to spot it using the Maps location without this detail. Also, the food here is amazing and priced reasonably. Tomato basil soup is a must try.

Food quality is acceptable if we compare it with other nearby restauranta. Staff and service are exceptional and they are great. Ambience including valley view point. Good place.

This is the in-house restaurant of Club mahindra derby greens ooty. While on workation here, we opted for 3 meal combo here and being vegetarians, this is one of the good decisions We took. The buffet has ample vegetarian options with usually 4 subzis or more and Daals. The most delightfully surprising part was the numerous and tasty eggless desserts and cakes (not sure if we were lucky to visit them during time of more vegetarian crowd). They were also very accommodating to our dietary constraints and made customizations to buffet items too when requested. FYI: Do ask for masala Ginger tea when around!

We visited Le Cafe for lunch and tried the Pulled-Pork Sliders, Grilled Lamb Burger, and a Cafe Latte. The outdoor seating area is a nice touch, offering a pleasant ambiance. The Pulled-Pork Sliders (served as a set of three) had a unique tangy, sweet, and mildly spicy flavor. While the pork was well-cooked and flavorful on its own, the overall dish felt a bit disjointed. The Lamb Burger featured a juicy patty but could have used more seasoning. Both dishes were served with fries on the side, which were tasty. The Cafe Latte was well-prepared and enjoyable. Service was good and reasonably quick. However, while the quality of the food was decent, the portions were relatively small for the price point, which felt quite steep. There is a shared parking area available on the premises, which is convenient. Overall, a decent experience, though a bit overpriced for what’s offered.

This place has great ambience. The detailing on the food and taste are great too, but the menu is a little expensive. Parking space is available. There is a super mart called "Little Earth" close by where you can find the regular finds as other super marts, but this also includes some stationary and foods that 90s kids would relate to. There is also perfume stall outside the super mart where you can customize accordingly to your liking.

Each time we come here, it gets worse. First the service quality was poor. Then the food quality deteriorated. Now they just serve inedible, burnt food. And when you point out that the food was burnt, the staff just stares at you, and then all the staff stares at you, as though taking issue with burnt food is a crime. The service quality here and at periodic table is just atrocious. Coffee was good though.

One of the finest Italian-style restaurants in Ooty. The food, ambience, and service were outstanding. A special mention to Riyashni, Piu, and Dhanam, who took excellent care of us throughout our visit.

The cafe is nestled off the mysore ooty Road on the ooty entrance. On a quiet weekday its a great place to hang out over a coffee or a pizza. Reyashni and Banri were brilliant and were quick to take orders.

We had a delightful brunch here with friends. The service was exceptionally good and prompt. There were plenty of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. I highly recommend this cafe in Ooty. They also have parking available in front of the cafe.

A really good place to hang out in ooty. Food was good and ambience was good as well. Would recommend to visit this place during sunset. Tried multiple things here. Pizza and fries was good. Hot chocolate was just a milk with chocolate syrup which was disappointing.

There may be a traffic near view point on week end we have to wait near 15 mins, but after that we can see the full beauty of the ooty view. We can cover almost full of the area from here. Stunning view is there try to be visit on sunny day otherwise mist may hide the view. Entry fee will be collected at the entry for vehicle and we have to pay 20 rs per head we can pay through UPI also. Many shops available there we can purchase small things. Restroom available here.

This peak offers a complete view of valley.There are snack outlets and even a having parlour.The entry ticket is 10₹. One can even buy sweaters and shawl and even hats. One weekends the place becomes highly crowded

This is a really good view spot in Ooty and a must visit, it is the tallest point in the Nilgiris. The experience was decent, first you are supposed to buy a ticket, but before you get in line for the ticket, you have to enter the market, which had clothes and souvenirs. There are may cameramen present there who will click and print photos on the spot. There is also a watchtower, which you can climb up to get a better view from the Peak. The road leading up to this peak is also scenic, with tall trees.

A few minutes away from Ooty centre, it's worth visiting. At Doddabetta checkpoint, around Rs 50-60 deducted for car entry. Entrance fee is Rs 10. Have to walk a couple of steps to go to the viewing point. There's a small watch tower. There's also a few steps leading down to another viewpoint. Overall, amidst the hills of Ooty and Doddabetta, the views are scenic and serene.

Situated just approximately 4km from doddabetta peak with a well connected road. They have paid parking facility which is enough and ample in space along with a entrance fee. They sell organic tea packets just as you enter the tea park and also make them and sell which is a must try. Overall the tea park is a beautifully maintained place which is a bliss to the eyes. The tea plantations are extremely care taken for and well maintained. The scenary is serene and beautiful. Its actually a blessings to your eyes. We went here from conoor and spent some quality time in peace, Calm place, Few snacks are available just in case near the counter Plain cake was good The gardens are beautifully maintained, reflections on tea history and processing are informative, and the views especially from the gazebos offer relaxed moments to breathe and enjoy the tea haze across the hills. Not crowded, not rushed, but always restorative.

Good spot with tea plantations, children play area, and nice scenic location. They also take photos of you in native dresses for Rs 200.

It was good overall you can see lot of tea plantations on the way to kotagiri or coonor you can also visit them free of charge.

I do not recommend this wax museum as it is very very small and will take not more than 5 mins to complete. Very few statues are there for that they charge ₹50 per person for entrance. Basically it is located in small market or complex where you can see multiple shops and people will insist you to go to the shops and purchase stuffs. Rather I would suggest to explore better wax museum to enjoy.

The Wax Museum was quite disappointing and honestly not worth the visit. The place is very small, with barely 15–20 wax statues, most of which don’t even look like they’re made of wax. Some of the figures were old and not well-maintained, making the entire experience underwhelming. The entry fee is ₹50 per person, and they even charge ₹10 extra if you want to take photos with your phone. Given how little there is to see, it didn’t feel worth the price. The museum is located in a small shopping complex, and the moment you step out, shopkeepers try to convince you to buy things, which makes it feel more like a tourist trap than an actual attraction. Unless you’re just curious and have time to kill, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are much better places to visit in the area.

Tourist spot only for sale of chocolate,bakery items including ooty varkey, dress materials and other children items like toys etc. there is a saree shop which is cheating on the name of different varieties of sarees, the length of the saree is insufficient,only 5 metres ..which cannot be worn. Don't waste your time here. Simply go to wax planet or other place. All wax statues are made by a private artist. Very limited number of wax statues. Entry ticket is 100. Chocolate factory is your run of the mill sugar stuff. Nothing special. You are better of going to Moddys Good parking space is available.

There is a 50 rupee entry fee and about 20 wax figurines. Not financially worthwhile. Not much to see. Though it's not a large museum, it does feature some excellent wax figures. The experience was passable. Not much to see. It's just a complete waste of time.

There is a great effort put in ,and the statues are all really nice. Just 50rs for the entry fee. The messages imparted are valuable ,and hence a nice suggestion to visit with kids while in Ooty. The view opposite is spectacular of the city cuddled within the mountains. The place is well maintained and has lavish parking,but it has a potential for a lot more development.

Good experience. It is a really good view point. There is an entry fee of 20 Rs. One can see the view point via binocular or directly. There is a village down the road, which has good view spots. There is a food store nearby which has maggie, omlette, coffee, tea, sweet corn and boiled peanuts.

The place is quite nice, but there’s no parking space and not much to see besides the view of Ooty from higher points. If you visit in the evening around sunset, you can enjoy beautiful sunlight and reflections, with foggy clouds brushing against your face.

I feel before you go to any place. You have to take permission of the local God and then start the trip. Likewise, we started our Ooty trip by visiting this temple first. Very, very nice temple, calm environment. Nice view at the top. Not much of stairs to climb not that difficult

This temple is soooo peaceful. You need to climb stairs or you can also go by road to the other side of temple! The Murugan statue is super big and nice 😊 this temple also has a history which makes it more interesting to visit!

Murugan Hill is a calm and divine spot, perfect for a short getaway or a peaceful visit. The view from the top is really beautiful, especially during sunrise or sunset. The temple on the hill gives a very positive and spiritual vibe. The surroundings are clean, and the climb is not too difficult. A great place to relax, pray, and enjoy nature’s beauty. Definitely worth visiting at least once!

Visited the Murugan Temple in the morning and had a peaceful experience. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and offers a beautiful view of the city skyline from the hilltop. While there are quite a few steps to climb, the effort is worth it. It wasn’t too crowded, and the main sanctum opens at 11:30 AM, good to keep in mind when planning your visit. There’s no entry fee, which is appreciated. A serene and spiritually uplifting place.

Rooms are satisfactory quality, could improve on the cleanliness of the bedding. Toilets are well maintained but could improve on the quality. Food was good and sufficient variety. Found the furnitures in the common area well past the cleaning date and needs to be refreshed. Staff are cordial and informative.

Came for a trip with my family and it was a really good experience the staff was really kind, helpful and understanding. The food was also amazing over here especially the dinners were delicious.Shoutout to the walnut brownie it was absolutely bomb. The rooms could have had yellow lighting for a better experience and the bathrooms also need an upgrade. But overall great.

Worst ever experience. In my lifetime experience I have never seen a hotel who don’t even clean the room toilets. Ensure that your rooms and toilets are really cleaned before you enter, otherwise you will be using some else’s poop. And get “Sorry” as your complimentary. Great ambiance and service. The food was good. I recommend the steak, which is very flavourful. The steak was well done (you'll probably have to request if you want it medium rare) The burger patty was delicious. The rest, however, was meh and came with delicious potato wedges. The grilled garlic and lemon fish were good, too. The sides could have been a little more. The fish and chips came with regular processed french fries, which was a little disappointing considering the price point. I would would have preferred some better "chips" Will definitely go once more to try the other dishes.

Had an amazing dining experience at Colonel’s Kitchen! The Malai Broccoli was one of the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Tres Leches dessert was absolutely divine and the perfect way to end the meal. All the other dishes we tried were equally impressive — well-presented, balanced, and delicious. A special mention to Manager Santosh, who served us with great warmth and professionalism, making the entire experience even better. Went here with my friends on 9th March 2025 and ordered all the north indian vegetarian food as they didn't have much of Italian options. We ordered Palak Paneer, Buttee Paneer Masala and Mushroom as main course along with bread. Out of everything Mushroom was the best one, we all loved it. The ambience is quite good and peaceful.

Momo House Ooty will provide beautiful tasty Momos, which is basically a North Indian food. Not everyone like it, but if your a foodie, it’s your destination to try this North Indian dish. They are two types of Moms, or I’m tried two, which are steamed chicken momos and fried veg mom. Both are good, I preferred fried veg on from these two.

In few words to say...tasty food for cheapest rates....the food here is too good and economical. We tried their combo of momos with lolypop and drums of heaven (10 +2+ 2). We also had their chicken szechwan rice, chicken chilli garlic rice, egg noodles, american choupsey. Everything was really good. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone coming here. 6 of us had all these at cost abt Rs.130ish each.

Running business without GST registration. Worst attitude staffs, Rude owner, poor service, had to wait for an hour for ordered food. unprofessional staffs on front desk. NO official Bills. Momo house is quiet known for its honey chilli potato and Thukpa.. These are the foods I would recommend along with chowmein, although the wait time is really long at time.. The food here is filling and can sure quench your hunger pangs...

I walked-in by seeing the interior and ambience of the cafe from outside. And of course the wood oven for pizza. The food was not so great but ambience and staff is very courteous. Served well, and had taken extra care as I was a tourist. The pizza chef is sweet , we had good conversation about local culture and people. One can visit the cafe to have nice pizza. It is at commercial road. Where I one can have good walk through market and pick some local stuff.

I was born and brought up in Ooty, and whenever I visit this place, the food always tastes amazing; the pizza and pasta are good. The vibe is calm and pleasant, and the restaurant has a nostalgic 90's feel. However, during my last visit, I noticed it still looks the same. I wish they would renovate it to a more modern style while keeping that '90s touch. Also, the washrooms were not clean; please make sure proper hygiene is maintained.

Ok, this is a difficult one. The servers/staff there were super polite and helpful. However, the ambiance feels...old. Not vintage, not classy..but old. The restaurant did not feel welcoming despite the best efforts from the staff. The food as well was OK at best. I ordered Aglio Oglio Sphagetti and what I got was hakka noodles with red chillies and vegetables topped with cheese. It tasted fine, but it was NOT pasta. It was noodle dish with cheese on top. I do not wish to assume much since it was my one and only visit there, but there is definitely a disconnect between what the restaurant claims to be <-> aspires to be <-> what it really is. Could have been much better considering it is situated at such a prime spot in market.

Nahar Sidewalk Café is conveniently located on the main road in Ooty and serves a variety of veg fast food and multi-cuisine dishes. The ambience is nice and there’s ample seating space, making it suitable even for larger groups. However, I found the place a bit understaffed, and there’s room for improvement in cleanliness. Overall, a decent spot for a quick vegetarian meal in the heart of Ooty.

We visited the Pine Forest in Ooty in March, arriving around 5 PM, just before it closed. It was the perfect time to go, as the evening light made the entire area look stunning. The entry ticket was only Rs. 30, which is excellent value. The forest itself is incredibly scenic, with tall pine trees that are perfect for photos and videos. We also saw many monkeys on the trees and along the path, which was a nice surprise. A bit further in, we discovered a beautiful lake. The view of the lake with the pine trees surrounding it was simply breathtaking. It added a whole new level of beauty to the visit. If you like adventure, you can try the horse ride for Rs. 200. Just remember that the forest closes strictly at 5:30 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. Overall, our last stop at the Pine Forest and its lake was a perfect and memorable end to our trip. We highly recommend it for its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere.

Good place in ooty to spend some time with family and friends. You can sit and relax and enjoy the scenic views. It may get too cold depending on the season so its better to take warm clothes.

Shooting Spot is a good location for photoshoot, video shoot, film shoot. There is nothing much more to see here else only big ground. Beautiful shooting spot uphill and the road is way long goes towards forests. Big track, ample space for enjoyment and picnic. It's a good spot for family entertainment. Entry ticket is bit expensive though as there is nothing much to see in shooting spot. Pine Forest on the other hand deserves a lot of appreciation for its beautiful lake embedded with dense Pine trees. It's a magical beauty. Beware of the monkeys though on the way.

This place as suggested is really beautiful covered completely with beautiful pine forest. You will feel you are in a movie while going on this road surrounded by pine forest on either side. You have an entrance fee here to get down at this point and go near a lake beyond the pine forest. You can park your vehicle on the road, you don't find any place to eat or drink here. It's a god spot to take some photographs, but be careful when you are going down the pine forest since its a downhill and a bit slippery.

Shooting spot and pine forest location would be right choice for nature lovers. It will be a nice experience with slight drizzling at top of the mountain. Must to visit and worth to reach the top and enjoy the whole view

A must visit place approximately 8 km from Ooty town. The place provides a true and mesmerizing beauty of the mother nature along with a cool weather. It is a steep valley with dense pine tree vegetation and the there is a lake at the lowest point which adds to the beauty of the place. You can see monkeys with their kids which will be an attraction for your little ones in the team. The place itself is having a romantic feel and the place is recommended for spending some time with your family and loved ones. Climbing the hill back is a slightly a tedious job. There is an entry fee of 20 Rs. per person. The place deserves a four star rating but the place is destroyed by the undisciplined littering of waste due to lack of supervision and hence one star less leaving a room for improvement. The place needs more attention and the beauty needs to be maintained well.

The pine tree is the tallest among all others. It's very amusing to take a look at the scenery next to the river. Cons: The pathway is very slippery due to rain and soil erosion. Climbing up again to the road is very challenging and my heartbeat is so fast. The fees are collected for the entry but there is no proper maintenance.

I would not refer to go here again because it is a tourist place very crowded and little bit dirty as well. But if you walk to right side of the entrance then you can be at your own peace where people are doing fishing not much noisy. If you go during week days it would be amazing sunset point but during weekends it's so crowded. Though I love the feeling of jungle and water body that was amazing. One can do fishing here.

Nice place with bad smelling and badly maintained lake at the end. Forest looks beautiful and the way to and from is inclined so u should have energy to go till the end and come out :). Be careful while moving inside the forest since there no concrete way. It is slippery. There is a horse riding and camera person near lake at the end of the forest.

Very innovative way of presenting chocolate story.. good chocolates

This place is definitely worth a visit at least once. The ambience is nice, the concept is appealing, and they put effort into presenting themselves as different from others in the market. One of the main points they highlight is that they use pure cocoa butter for their chocolates, whereas, according to them, many others rely on vegetable oil or palm oil. While that sounds impressive and could justify a higher price to some extent, in my personal experience I honestly did not notice any major difference in taste or quality compared to what I’ve had elsewhere. The chocolates were good, but not outstanding enough to make me feel the premium pricing was justified. The biggest drawback for me is the cost. The prices here are significantly higher than what you’d expect, even if the ingredients are a little better. At the end of the day, as a customer, value for money matters, and I left feeling that the products didn’t really match the price tag. Because of that, I cannot rate this place more than 4 stars. It’s not bad by any means—the visit was fine, and I can appreciate their efforts—but unless the pricing becomes more reasonable, I don’t see myself returning frequently.

Located on Gudalur Road, just outside Ooty, this place offers a wide variety of items to choose from—definitely worth the money. They proudly display a Guinness World Record at the entrance, and the chocolate factory-like ambience inside the store creates a unique and memorable shopping experience.

It just have a demo machine but not operational. If wish to buy chcoclates or tea we can go this place. Chocolates are good and many varieties like dark chocolates,traditional milk,cocoa chocolates and truffles available. All are local Ooty made.

Well curated small museum about the history of chocolate. Entry fees: 100 per person. 15-20 mins guided tour inside. They provide complimentary chocolate by dipping it in the chocolate fountain, it's very tasty. Chocolates, choclate jewellery, spices, etc. are also available for sale here. Chocolates are expensive but are rich in taste.

Nothing much to do here. They have a few exhibits that detail the process of making chocolates from Cocoa pods. The entry fee is ₹20 for adults. They provide one sample for each ticket purchased. The staff are nice and answer any questions you may have. They have a shop with a few varieties on sale but are priced quite high. There is parking available next to the Museum.

Good Place !! This Museum is on the Right side when u are entering OOTY. The Entry ticket is 20/- per person and they will provide a Waffer dipped in Chocolate sauce complimentary. The museum explains the process of how the chocolates are prepared and there is a shop selling home made chocolates.

Stayed here with friends on my trip to Ooty. Rooms were quite spacious and well facilitated. But the property seemed old and could do with a little more maintenance. We weren't dressed appropriately to enter the club but otherwise it's a nice premises. A little pricey though.

Great Caddies. Amazing location. Tiring slopes. Feel sorry that we were the only golfers there. And yet, despite our offering to pay green fees for a friend who had driven us around, the management were adamant that non golfers couldn't walk around. So just played 9 holes and didn't return. Quite a neglected course.. but very picturesque. A colonial mindset perhaps. How do you encourage people to play golf if you shoo them away. We had a few references from friends... but yet paid the full visitors fees as the front desk said they'd have to hear from them directly.. (that's fair enough) but the attitude was not right in my opinion. I've chaired a club for over 6 years and have been on committees for 20 years, am a member in a IGF course...and have attended R&A conventions....with this attitude, golf in Ooty could die out.

Nice golf playground. Only members are allowed inside but tourists can get a great view from outside.

The golf course is for the members of gymkhana. It is a 21 hole golf course and you can see many of the members on the turf enjoying the game of golf. Also it could be easily seen that the golf course is really well maintained and that they make sure that the turf is in the perfect playable condition at any moment of time. Also, being located around natural forests it gives a really picturesque view.

It have peaceful and romantic place..... Movie shooting spot.... Raja Hindustani Movie song shooted here. Better for honeymoon and for tourism and photography. Must visit when comes in Ooty.

This is rear entry of the boating place. Only power boat is available. As other places in Ooty, this also closes by 6 pm. Parking can be done outside near campus wall. Looks like a good place for family outing.

We visited on a weekend and it is a bit crowded, 30/- is the entrance fee and once after entering, we can choose which kind of boating to go for - we opted 2 seater pedal boat which is 250/- for 30 mins (30 mins is waiting time as it is a bit crowded), at the billing counter they will collect double amount (250+250) the other 250 is refundable if we return back within 30 mins, the water is green in colour may be due to stagnant water, mobile camera usage is not charged while camera & video cam usage is chargeable, There is a play area with few rides & some shops which sell local tea & chocolates, overall a good experience

Thread garden is an artificial garden with flowers made of collar canvas and thread. Very small place. Opposite to Ooty boat house / lake. Well made, it has taken around 12 years to make this, I am given to understand. Entrance fee is Rs.30 per adult.

Thread garden, Ooty. Hats-off to all the people who have done this amazing and detailed art work. Most of the flowers here seem so realistic that your eyes won't be able to believe that it's all made of thread, collar stiffs and wires. That too, purely hand made.. Kudos to the workmanship👏 👏 They say, it's a 33 yrs old art work. It's the 12yrs of hard n fruitful work by 50 woman. Wherein they have used 6 crore meters of silk embroidery thread to create these plants. Lighting-wise, they could have made a little better arrangement, especially at the end. It seemed a little dark. Otherwise worth visiting this place. Art and nature lovers will definitely enjoy the visit..

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Biryani, and Chilli Chicken were all below expectations in terms of taste and quality. Additionally, the service was very poor, which made the overall dining experience quite unsatisfactory.

The restaurant was quite disappointing. Prices are too high for the quality provided. Cleanliness is not up to the mark, the tables and plates were not properly cleaned. The food taste is just average and doesn’t justify the cost. We ordered chicken fried rice but hardly found any chicken piece in it.Overall, not a good value for money and hygiene really needs improvement

One of the worst meals I have ever had. I ordered beef biriyani, and it came with full bone and fat pieces. When I asked the staff, they said beef bone would be added, so what can I say. Better to avoid this restaurant..

Ambience is nice, be warned this is an expensive restaurant, the most affordable dish starts from 350Rs IIRC, situated on a hill top the weather changes as quickly as the clouds keep moving, my kids loved the chocolate mousse so much that we carried back parcels of it.

There should be an option to give negative rating, I would have given -5. Worst worst worst experience. Wow, it's really the best south Indian food place i feel is present in ooty. You might not see the food color so alluring but trust me it tastes awesome. The filter coffee was also perfect. (Those who love bitter taste of coffee). The service was apt. Even though we could not speak Tamil the waiter managed to serve very well. Very pocket friendly and simple restaurant.

Amma’s Kitchen is definitely worth it! The place is in such high demand that when we went after 1:30 PM, meals were already over. So the next day we made sure to walk in early. They serve both North Indian and Kerala meals at a reasonable rate. The restaurant is neat and clean, the food is affordable, and both the quantity and quality are excellent 👌. Visited Amma’s kitchen for late lunch, the order of Chicken Biriyani and Jeera Rice was served in decent wait time, the food quality and taste is average. Needs improvement. They do not have any beverages , even not soft drinks. There is ample parking space opposite to the hotel.
