The Golden Gate Bridge, an iconic 4,200-foot art deco suspension marvel, stands as a testament to engineering and beauty. Opened in 1937, it connects San Francisco to Marin County and has since transformed the area into a haven for nature lovers. Visitors can explore the stunning landscapes that surround this landmark, including redwood forests and serene bay views. The bridge accommodates cars, bikes, and pedestrians alike, making it accessible for everyone eager to experience its grandeur.
Visiting the Golden Gate Bridge is an unforgettable experience. Standing on or near this iconic landmark, you feel the scale and beauty of San Francisco in a way that photos just can’t capture. The view of the city skyline framed by the bridge’s signature orange towers is breathtaking, especially on a clear day. Walking or biking across gives a sense of accomplishment and offers unique perspectives of the bay, the Marin Headlands, and Alcatraz. Even just admiring it from nearby lookout points provides incredible photo opportunities. The atmosphere is lively with tourists from all over the world, yet the sheer grandeur of the bridge gives it a sense of serenity and awe. Whether you’re here for sightseeing, photography, or just to feel the iconic vibes of SF, the Golden Gate Bridge is a must-visit landmark that truly embodies the spirit of the city.

The Golden Gate Bridge is simply Spectacular! I recommend visiting the visitors center at the south entrance. Here you can learn about the history of the bridge. Absolutely astonishing how these engineers and steel workers survived brutal cold elements to construct this bridge! Visit Fort Point National Historic Site at the base of the bridge for more Historic facts. Take the 1 hour bay cruise and the boat travels underneath the bridge for an unbelievable experience! I recommend driving to the north side of the bridge through the Marin Headlands and visit Golden Gate Bridge overlook it is a breathtaking view of the bridge and you can look into the city of San Francisco.

The Golden Gate Bridge is absolutely stunning and one of the most iconic sights in the world. The bright red color, the ocean breeze, and the sweeping views of San Francisco Bay make it unforgettable. Walking or biking across is an amazing experience you can see the city skyline, Alcatraz, and the Marin Headlands all in one view. Whether it’s covered in fog or glowing at sunset, it’s always breathtaking. A true masterpiece of design and a must-see when visiting San Francisco!
Lg G — Google review
The Golden Gate Bridge was fantastic! Went during the week, not crowded. Was able to cruise across at our leisure and not worry about someone on our ass. Fisherman's Wharf was quiet, no lines. Food is always great in the area. And I'm talking about seafood. Everything is slowed down during the week. We really enjoyed our time there. Hotels were plentiful and cheaper. Looking forward to another visit.

Immersive! A truly one-of-a-kind experience ! Driving across the Golden Gate Bridge was truly amazing and an experience I’ll never forget. This iconic landmark offers breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay, the city skyline, Alcatraz, and the surrounding hills. The scenery is absolutely stunning, whether you see it in the morning shrouded in fog or at sunset when golden colors light up the sky. The bridge itself is an engineering masterpiece, perfectly complementing the natural beauty around it. Whether driving, walking, or just admiring it from a distance, the Golden Gate Bridge is a must-see destination that captures the magic of San Francisco!
Shay A — Google review
The Golden Gate Bridge is a fantastic experience. The architecture is impressive, and the bright orange color against the water makes for amazing photos. Whether you walk, bike, or just enjoy the lookout points, the views are breathtaking. It’s well-maintained, easy to access, and one of those places that truly lives up to the hype.
Mirza B — Google review
I absolutely loved riding my bicycle down this amazing and iconic feature of architecture in my great nation. I visited in 2011 and stayed 5 days in San Francisco. I loved every second of it. Beautiful town. Beautiful people.

Amazing!!!! The bridge in San Francisco is truly beautiful, but the best time to visit it is when there is no fog. Otherwise, you won’t be able to get clear pictures. But it’s definitely something worth seeing.

If you're looking for a taste of the tropics without leaving Northern California, Lappert's Ice Cream is your go-to destination. This charming outpost of a beloved Hawaiian chain immerses you in an island vibe with its vibrant floral decor and leafy accents. The menu boasts an impressive array of 125 flavors, including must-try options like Kauai Pie—a delightful blend of coffee ice cream, chocolate fudge, and coconut macadamia nuts—and the indulgent Hawaiian Sea Salt Caramel.
Great ice cream and sorbet flavors. It really tastes great. Usually busy but I find that after 7pm the crowd usually dies down. If you are in the area this is a must have Flavors occasionally rotate, so if they don’t have your flavor you might have to check another day. I wish they had Mango Sorbet in stock more often
Pika F — Google review
Honestly some of the best ice cream I've had in the bay. Tons of variety in the flavors, great texture in the ice cream, and a super nice location. Only reason this is not 5 stars is because they only allow tasting of 2 flavors and it's $7 for a single scoop. I know Sausalito is a more expensive area but that's still just absurd. With that being said though, the ice cream is fire. Worth trying out if you're ever in the area.
Sid S — Google review
It’s a lovely icecreams parlour. Nice ambience and good variety of tasty icecreams. They have handcrafted, "super-premium" ice cream made with high-quality ingredients. We tried the Hawaiian Sea Salt Caramel: Hawaii pink salted caramel fudge in sweet cream and Praline Pecan: Southwestern-style pecans in a caramel cream. These were good. Nice sorbets too. Seating is nice. Closes around 8.30 pm

As a child my mom and I walked across the Golden Gate Bridge to the ice cream. I was able to 40 years later take my children and husband to the Ice Cream Polar. We took pictures of the city and loved the ice cream just as I did when I was their age. Thank you for the great experience.
Teeana H — Google review
Had the Kauai Pie ice cream and it’s one of the best ice cream we ever had … the flavors of the ingredients just work so well: coffee, Macadamia nuts, coconut shreds, and others. Also it’s not too sweet therefore able to enjoy the flavors. Well done! Very impressive~

Green tea ice cream in waffle cone did the trick for me on a hot day. Cool down on a bench by the water and grass, with a book maybe. I found a nice spot by the ferry docks. I was happy with my free waffle cone for having completed Sausalito Public Library’s adult summer reading challenge- you can do it too! It’s awesome when you can read and get additional rewards. You get 2 free samples per person before having to select your flavor. I sampled the ube macapuno and was unimpressed- it didn’t taste much like ube, maybe more like coconut. I also sampled the date casablanca, which is vanilla ice cream studded with date bits and laced with caramel trails. I think if the date flavor was more incorporated in the whole ice cream, I could’ve gone for it. I’m glad I went with green tea and would recommend this flavor. It’s not the strongest green tea ice cream I’ve had but it was enough and I wasn’t looking for too strong today anyway.

Worth the wait, but the waiter isn't long! The line was out the door this afternoon, but it moved swiftly. I had the Bing cherry cordial. Sorry, no photo. I began eating right away. Delicious!

Stopped in today before our departure to Chicago. Hands down, best ice cream we've ever had. I had the horchata cajeta flavor and my husband the guava cheesecake flavor. Flavors were amazing and very unique. Can't wait to try again on our next visit to California!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a great spot in Sausalito! I had a wonderful experience at Sausalito Bakery & Cafe. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the sandwiches and small bites were just as impressive — really good quality and full of flavor. Everything tasted homemade and carefully prepared. Plus, the view is absolutely beautiful — a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommended!

Nice cafe on the waterfront where you can just sit and watch the world go by. We ordered the cookies and I will be honest they are more like rock cakes than cookies. The lemon and blueberry one is most like a biscuit/cookie and was delicious. Best cup of tea I had in San Francisco area so highly recommended 👌

Beautiful bakery and cafe with a beautiful view of the water front and the Golden Gate Bridge. The staff were warm and welcoming. Food - The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the sandwiches were great. They have a large assortment of salads, sandwiches. They have fresh home made pastries. Chocolate chip cookie was good too. You can sit outside or inside. Nice breakfast available. Closes at 5 pm

What a perfect way to end my Golden Gate Bridge walk! After hoofing it all the way from San Francisco, I was starving and this little gem in Sausalito was exactly what I needed. The green storefront caught my eye right away - it’s got that classic small-town charm that makes Sausalito so special. I ordered their omelet with bacon and it was absolutely delicious. The eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy, and they gave me some great multigrain toast on the side. The fresh fruit was a nice touch too. Everything looked freshly baked and you could smell it the moment you walked in. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy - perfect for refueling after a long walk. Plus, you can’t beat the location right in downtown Sausalito.

The vibes here are quite amazing. Amazing decor inside and the ability to sit outside. The food is a little pricey and nothing extravagant for what you are paying. The staff is really nice as well.

It’s a lovely café and bakery, run by a kind Iranian couple who pour their hearts into everything they do. The place feels like home — every meal tastes like something your grandmother would make, full of love and care. Their food is incredibly healthy and comforting, and the couple themselves are some of the sweetest, most welcoming people you’ll ever meet.

The Bay Area Discovery Museum is an indoor/outdoor museum designed to encourage children's creativity through interactive exhibits, art classes, and a play space. The museum offers sections for both older kids and babies, with nature and STEM-based structures and exhibits that are well thought out. Parents appreciated the clean environment of the tot section where they could leave their babies to explore. In addition to all the fun activities for kids, visitors can also enjoy a gorgeous view of Golden Gate right next to the museum.
Took my 4-year-old here today and wow, what a gem! This place is absolutely perfect for little ones. My daughter was completely captivated from the moment we walked in - there’s just so much to explore and discover. The hands-on exhibits are fantastic and really encourage creativity and learning through play. We spent hours here and she didn’t want to leave! The staff was friendly and helpful, and I love that it’s designed specifically with young children in mind. Plus, the Sausalito location is beautiful. Definitely worth the trip from anywhere in the Bay Area. We’ll be back soon!

Wonderful mostly outdoor active experience for kids. Appropriately for ages 3-8 probably. Very child-led. Explore a fishing boat, build a structure with giant pieces of foam, climb up into the treetops and walk a rope bridge before sliding down a huge slide. Lunch and snacks were surprisingly higher quality. The entire park was in good repair and clean. Workers were plentiful and engaged. Bathrooms were built with kids and parents in mind, clean. We explored with two 3.5 year olds and they were ecstatic from start to finish, and we didn’t even see the whole place before we left exhausted.

Beautiful views of Golden Gate Bridge. Creative playground suitable for all ages. Very nice areas for imaginative play and building stuff. Cute cafe with kid-friendly food, though the long was long and they were kind of slow. Nice to go to take the kids to play and catch up with a friend over coffee while enjoying the amazing views.

Toddler and bigger kid friendly. They have different areas that are 42" and under and safe for smaller visitors. Went on a holiday weekend and it was soo packed but its such a big area and so many sections that we could easily avoid crowds. 100% recommend ordering food online and just picking up at the window.

Located in the picturesque Fort Baker with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the museum prioritizes hands-on learning, encouraging creative problem-solving through activities like the "Woodshop" and art studios where kids can freely experiment with various materials. It curates exhibits that cater to developing minds. The blend of interactive play, art are all presented in a fun and accessible way.

Wow! What an AWESOME place. We will definitely come here again from a stock car racing setup to a wood carving workstation to an awesome, huge jungle gym with a big slide and all the while the bubble machines going, this place was so fun we were here for like 4 hours. They have a little “shipwreck” a cave and a nice little “hike” with a great view. You can’t beat the view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We even had a little visitor. They also have food onsite the food was good real fresh food no preservative type stuff not sure if it was organic we had coffee, mochas, grilled cheese, a really breakfast sandwich and s’mores crisps type things. You gotta go.

Sept 2025 long weekend ( Sat) Get here early ~ 1030 am to maximize time Plenty of kids activities, from obstacle courses for the young kids, to toddler activities The Paint splash room is a brilliant idea ! Cafe onsite has reasonably good food and drink options Family friendly and you can spend all day here - 430 pm is a hard stop museum close time - I wish they had extended times in summer/fall

Fort Baker, a former U.S. Army post, is nestled beneath the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and offers stunning views of the San Francisco Bay. Originally part of the fortifications protecting the Golden Gate, it now forms part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Visitors can explore historic buildings and scenic trails while enjoying panoramic vistas of San Francisco, Alcatraz Island, and the famous bridge.
Beautiful place, plenty of parking to access the hiking trails and gun emplacements. Views of the bridge and city as well as Angel island and Alcatraz. There is a large discovery museum and play area for kids, looked like fun from the outside. I think it is a pay to play area. Fishing and crabbing off the pier as well.

This place is so cute! Stopped here to get a better view of the bridge, luckily we went and it was sunny and no fog! It's a very chill place, great to walk around. Secluded and private, there is a "discovery center" nearby. Parking in this general area is free and lots of parking, did not see a bathroom though. I reccomend this as a quick stop to take pictures.

Stunning scenery. It takes roughly 4 and a half hours to hike to the base of Half Dome. Make sure to bring a water filter so you can refill at the river. You'll definitely need plenty of water. Plus, to make it to the top of Half Dome, you should start your hike before 7 AM. If you are planning to climb to the top of half dome, you'll need to get tickets.

This is a very good area for photographing the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, and the Bay. The views on a clear day are incredible! It is easy to spend some time here walking around and exploring nearby attractions – The Bay Area Discovery Museum for chidlren, Battery Yates, and Fort Baker. Parking is plentiful: some at the pier, and there is a huge parking area next to the Discovery Museum. Quite a few people were fishing and crabbing when we visited. Another good fact – this area is not crowded as many other GG/SF vista points. If you will walk an appetite during your visit there is Bean sprout café next the Discovery Museum where you can get juice, coffee, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, ice cream, etc. And for amore elevated experience you may choose Sula, just check their hours.

Battery Spencer is a 19th-century concrete battery with stunning panoramic views of Golden Gate and San Francisco. The observation deck provides the best spot to view the iconic golden bridge, even on cloudy days. Access to this location is easy by means of driving or biking, followed by a short walk to the top. As it sits almost 500 feet above the bay, it was once an ideal location for large coastal defense guns during its time under army control.
What a great spot to see the Golden Gate Bridge! We parked a bit up the road and enjoyed a lovely walk toward it. There's something magical about approaching the bridge and seeing its first tower appear. The nearby battery, a former defence station decommissioned in 1943, adds an interesting historical touch with its concrete ruins. For a beautiful, postcard-worthy view of the bridge, I highly recommend making the trip!

One of the best views of the Golden Gate bridge. We went on a very foggy day which added to the mystic. Glad we dressed appropriately as the wind was racing across the headland. Managed to get a parking space just next to the trail by the battery. When we arrived there were a few spaces, but by the time we left cars were parking along the side of the road.
Steven B — Google review
You can drive or take 130 to get there, quite convenient. The place is another different amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s best to go on a sunny afternoon when the light and angle are perfect for photos. pedestrians can only walk on the east side of the bridge, and there are lots of cyclists. There’s also a wall covered with locks of love.

We love coming here as a family ! Definitely come when there is a lot of traffic so you feel safe leaving your stuff in the car to many times people come back and their car has been stolen or things inside of it! But the walk is not that far definitely bring a sweater it’s very windy and a little cold. Also before you come up use the bathroom because the bathrooms up here are disgusting . But if you are coming for the first time definitely come to take some nice family pictures! We loved it and enjoyed the view of the bridge 🌁! Memories that will last a lifetime ❤️
Rita O — Google review
It takes a bit longer to go to this viewpoint, since you have to cross the bridge from SF and drive at the back of a hill for 30 minutes but the view at the top is worth it. There’s plenty of vista points but I recommend this one the most, it’s the one where you see all those famous Instagram posts. Worth the drive, just a 5 minute walk from the parking lot, not too many people.
Odeta — Google review
Battery Spencer is hands down one of the best spots to experience the Golden Gate Bridge in all its glory. The view from up here is absolutely stunning — you get the perfect panoramic shot of the bridge, San Francisco skyline, and the bay, all in one frame. Whether it’s sunrise, sunset, or even a foggy morning, the scenery never disappoints. The short hike from the parking area is easy and totally worth it. Once you reach the viewpoint, the wind can get pretty strong, so bring a jacket! It’s also a great place for photography — the lighting changes quickly, and every minute offers a slightly different mood. At night, the bridge lights up beautifully, and you can see the city glowing across the bay. Parking is limited, so it’s best to visit early in the morning or later in the evening. Even if there are crowds, it never feels too chaotic, and you’ll always find a good spot to take in the view. Overall, Battery Spencer gives you that postcard-perfect Golden Gate experience — dramatic cliffs, sweeping ocean views, and one of the most iconic landmarks in the world right in front of you. Definitely a must-visit when in the Bay Area!

I came early in the morning, and the bridge was just floating through the clouds — absolutely unreal. You can see the city peeking through in the background, and honestly, it feels like you’re in a movie scene.

Some of the best views of the Golden Gate and the Golden Gate Bridge in all of the Bay Area. Can be very windy and foggy, so be sure to dress accordingly, but regardless you will be rewarded. It's just a short walk from the parking lot. Can be very busy on weekends, but no worries, there are epic views in every direction.

The person working there was so friendly and gave a lot of gelato for us to taste before buying. The strawberry is so good! The green tea one has a mint flavor overpowering the green tea flavor so I didn’t enjoy it as much. The price was very reasonable

After a mediocre lunch and biking across the bridge I saw this place and decided I deserved a treat. I picked out three truffles (about $6.75) and enjoyed them on the Ferry back to San Francisco. I chose cardamom nougat, cookie Butter and Buddha. Cardamom was nice, but cookie Butter was better because COOKIE BUTTER. How could it not be? However, Buddha was definitely the most uniquely delicious. It was filled with peanut butter and mango jam. Salty and sweet always get me! The shop is quite small and feels tight even with only one other customer. But the quality is great and service is friendly!

Real artisan chocolates here. I tried a few dark chocolates, and they were absolutely delicious. I tried their coffee, and it was also not bad. Their cookies are also great. Raisin Oatmeal cookie was definitely the best thing.

They usually have SUCH a good curation of chocolates so it pains me to write this review. DO NOT buy the Dubai Chocolate!!! I spent 40$ (that should have been my first red flag) but since they have good quality fine chocolates I had high expectations it would be really good. “Luxury” as its marketed. It was DISGUSTING, the worst quality chocolate, stale, and overall spit-worthy after the first bite. I’m sooooo upset at this waste of money. I truly expected them to vet their products and for it to be at least OKAY for 40 bucks. Ive had many versions of the dubai chocolate and this is by far the worst AND most expensive!!! 7/11 has a better one. The mini dubai bonbons from another brand were better , but for $20 is a hard swallow. So disappointed.

Ditas is a sophisticated restaurant and bar located above The Trident on Sausalito's waterfront, with an elegant interior design featuring stone table tops, velvet chairs, and glass accents. The tasting-menu-format restaurant offers international dishes such as spicy kimchi and tofu stew and truffled mushroom pate. It also boasts an expansive wine and cocktail list curated by a renowned consultant.
The restaurant is classy but the view is the main attraction. There is also an outdoor deck, but it can be cool/windy or foggy depending on the day or time. There are heaters outside and they do also have blankets I believe. The food presentation is beautiful. Everything tastes good, but I’ve been several times now and a couple of times, I’ve felt like the food was good, but could use a little more seasoning. I definitely recommend the truffle fries. I’m not a fan of truffle oil, but they are bomb. Scallops and salmon are Great as well. The menu does change slightly seasonally.

We rented Nikita’s waterside venue in Sausalito for an event and it was perfect! The space is beautiful by the water, the music system worked great, and we could bring our own food which made things easy. Having the bar setup was a highlight—Max, the bartender, was amazing and kept everyone happy. Everything went smoothly and our guests loved the place. Highly recommend!

We had such a good experience renting this venue for 3 days for a 30 person leadership retreat for our company to do our 6 month planning and board meeting prep. The food was amazing super fresh, the Eria team so so friendly, cocktails at dinner amazing! I want to just go here on a date now. We were able to make the menu work too for all the allergy restrictions and it was totally delicious. Views totally beautiful. We even used them to cater a dinner at a vacation rental as well! Huge thanks Matt, Andrés, Alejandro, and of course Nikita. We’re already gearing up to plan the next one and will absolutely use them again!

I recently hosted my birthday party at Eria event space, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. The venue looked absolutely stunning with the roses and draped backdrop I added.. every corner felt elegant and picture-perfect. The service was truly exceptional. The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive. They were genuinely happy to help with anything I needed, which made the whole evening feel effortless and enjoyable. The food was a 10 out of 10—rich in flavor, beautifully seasoned, and absolutely unforgettable. Every dish was both comforting and gourmet, bursting with taste and presented with such artistic and thoughtful plating. It felt like dining at a fine restaurant. To top it all off, the surprise cake at the end was such a sweet and memorable touch. It made the night feel even more special. Overall, I highly recommend this event space for any celebration. The ambiance, service, and food all exceeded my expectations and made my birthday truly magical.

Everything was perfect. Very flavorful but not too salty, oily or too sweet. Tastes elegant. My favorite was duck tacos. Tea was excellent, the superb tea reminded me of home. They used good cream for the lobster Mac and cheese and tiramisu. Burger was juicy. Fries were crispy. Soup was not filled with potatoes so a bit soupy and is lighter, has some lemon zest on top so is more refreshing. Service and view were excellent. Will be back.

Nice location with spectacular views. Would be a good event space. It didn't seem like a regular restaurant. I attended an event here, for which they had a limited brunch menu. I ordered the avocado toast, which was the worst avocado toast I've ever had - hard, tasteless, small, and way overpriced. There was minimal, tired furniture and the bathrooms had no paper towels or hand dryer. If the issues mentioned above could be corrected, this would be a lovely event space.

Great spot to catch stunning views of SF, Angel Island, Alcatraz, the sailboats, etc. Higher end than the restaurant directly below it (Trident). The drinks were great (we did some sparkling from Spain, almost tasted like a cava). I had the shrimp cocktail and the lobster roll - both were ok, not amazing but also not bad. My spouse had oysters with our friend and also had the lobster roll. The oysters were apparently very good as was the mignonette. Our friend had the oysters and then the burger. The burger was large / good portion and pretty tasty. Overall the service was very friendly but incredibly slow. Would highly recommend this place over the others along the water in Sausalito. It’s not winning a Michelin star but it’s solid, friendly, nicely designed, and decent food with incredible views. ❤️

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Eria at Bridgeway! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely amazing. The staff went above and beyond — their communication was fast, friendly, and professional, making the entire planning process so effortless. The space itself is stunning, with breathtaking views that made my birthday celebration feel like something out of a dream. The food was incredible — every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and tailored perfectly to my tastes. You can tell they put genuine care into every detail. And the sweetest surprise of all was the birthday cake they brought out — such a thoughtful and personal touch that made me feel truly celebrated. 💕 If you’re looking for an event space that blends elegance, exceptional service, and a warm, personal touch, Eria at Bridgeway is truly unmatched. I’m so grateful to the entire team for making my 27th birthday a night I’ll never forget! 🌹✨

Farley is a sophisticated spot located at Cavallo Point lodge, offering Californian small plates and seasonal cocktails. The restaurant features a large porch where guests can enjoy the perfect weather while celebrating special occasions. The recent renovations have added to the charm of the place, with artsy beverage menus and superb cocktails. Despite being a hidden gem due to its location, it's worth the drive for those looking to escape the city. The menu is fun and creative, and the service is refined and polished.
Our business meeting at Farley with my partner and husband was perfect! As an interior designer at TERAPOLIS I appreciate stylish atmosphere and great furniture selection. I am glad that one can drive to Marin 15 min from SF and feel like visiting a different country. Great experience! Thank you!

We stayed at the Cavallo Point lodge at the end of April and dined at Farley. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and we were seated at a lovely table. My kids were given a separate kids menu and enjoyed broccolini and macaroni and cheese. My husband and I enjoyed some amazing cocktails with the umami fries, crispy fried calamari and the ahi tuna poke. The seafood was fresh and delicious. The tuna could have been lighter in terms of the dressing because it covered too much of the tuna’s natural flavor but it was still enjoyable to eat. The service was great and the staff was attentive to our needs and any questions we had. The grounds and view around the hotel were also beautiful. We would gladly return in the future.

We live in San Francisco, but this was our first time dining here. Since our son loves the Golden Gate Bridge, we took him to visit today, and my husband found this restaurant online. The setting is absolutely beautiful—very peaceful, with outdoor seating that offers a stunning view of the bridge. The food was excellent. We had the Caesar salad, which was crisp and refreshing with very fresh vegetables. For our son, we ordered the truffle-seasoned fries, which were unique and flavorful. My personal favorite was the mac n cheese topped with pork belly—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and paired perfectly with the rich, cheesy pasta. The steak was also very good. Overall, everything was wonderful: the food, the atmosphere, and the service. We’ll definitely be back, and I can’t wait to try their brunch next time!

Very average food Extra charges They messed up our order a few times and didn’t comp anything to make it up. The slowest service and average food . The desserts are expensive and very very small pieces of cake.

Farley and Sula - Elegant Dining with a View at Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito I have dined at Farley and Sula about five times since last November for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, both for work and leisure. While the food is consistently good, it does feel slightly overpriced for the location and limited competition within walking distance of the lodge. What sets this destination apart is the ambiance and flexibility. Guests can dine on either side of the two restaurants or enjoy a meal outdoors under heat lamps with sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay, the city skyline, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Farley offers a sophisticated gastropub-style setting with a casual yet elevated menu, while Sula provides a more relaxed lounge experience. I love that both restaurants share menus, allowing guests to sample dishes from each while seated anywhere on the property. The service is consistently warm and professional, adding to the comfort of the experience. However, I do not agree with the 4% kitchen staff surcharge applied to food items. In my opinion, compensating staff properly should be the restaurant's responsibility, not an additional cost for guests. Must-Try Dishes at Farley and Sula Classic Benedict ($28) - 4.5/5 Served with Canadian bacon, tomato, hollandaise, and breakfast potatoes. This dish was flavorful, satisfying, and perfect for a working breakfast. The sauce made it a bit tricky to eat neatly, but it was still delicious. Blue Crab Cake ($26) - 4.9/5 Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, this crab cake was beautifully presented and paired perfectly with dill remoulade and pickled mushrooms. A must-order for seafood lovers. Watermelon and Heirloom Tomato Salad ($30) - 4.7/5 A refreshing mix of endive, arugula, feta, basil, and minted vinaigrette. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were balanced and fresh. While delicious, it felt slightly overpriced compared to other entrées. Fort Bragg Petrale Sole ($36) - 4.9/5 This dish stood out for its presentation and balance of flavors. The parmesan crust and toasted almond risotto were delightful, complemented by lemon and thyme butter. Coffee-Rubbed New York Steak ($54) - 4/5 The steak was well-seasoned with chipotle-lime butter and served with crispy potato wedges and corn salsa. The flavors were excellent, but the steak arrived slightly cooler than expected, which detracted from the overall enjoyment. Caramel Bread Pudding ($13) - 4.9/5 Served warm with vanilla ice cream, this dessert was rich, comforting, and perfect for enjoying outdoors on a cool evening. It was the ideal sweet ending to a scenic dinner. Drinks Sausalito Sunset ($19) - 1/5 A mix of rums, passionfruit, coconut, and nutmeg. Unfortunately, it was overly sweet and syrupy, masking the individual flavors. Palomita ($19) - 3/5 A tequila and mezcal cocktail with grapefruit and fresno agave. The flavor was balanced but not memorable. Final Thoughts Farley and Sula provide one of the most scenic dining experiences in Sausalito, with panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline. The ambiance and service make this an excellent spot for a romantic dinner, a business lunch, or a relaxing brunch at Cavallo Point Lodge. While the prices can feel high and the drinks inconsistent, the food quality and atmosphere are worth experiencing at least once. For locals, I recommend enjoying a picnic on the grass, hike around the nearby trails and returning here in the evening for a glass of wine and dessert by the fire.

Truly as good as it gets. A hidden gem because of its location, but absolutely worth the drive if you’re looking to get out of the city. Menu is fun and creative. Service super refined and polished. Atmosphere cool without trying to be. Been coming for years and haven’t ever had a bad time. Pro tip: eat outside on the deck facing the Golden Gate Bridge. Some of the most underrated views in the whole Bay Area. Cheers!

This was our first time having brunch at Farley and it was a great experience. The restaurant has a very sophisticated look, cozy and warm ambience super inviting. Our waiter Nico was exceptional. I had the chicken sandwich with a martini espresso. They were both amazing. My wife had the chicken noodle salad and she liked it. I recommend you make a reservation before coming here on weekends especially.

It was our first time here. Everything here is perfect in my opinion. Great staff who are always checking on you discreetly, unlike most restaurant that bother you in middle of a great conversation. The food was also great, the only down side was they only had sandwiches and they were kind enough to remove the buns. But I wish they would add more options to their menu 😄. Atmosphere just love it. We really had a great time, definitely we will go back.

Italian restaurant
Poggio Trattoria is an upscale-casual Italian restaurant located in the heart of Sausalito, offering perfect outdoor seating for people-watching. The dishes are crafted from herbs and produce grown in their on-site garden, adding a fresh and authentic touch to their Northern Italian cuisine. The restaurant boasts a stacked wine cellar and serves up classic dishes such as agnolotti pasta, spaghetti, and soppressata pizza.
Absolute amazing dinner with family for a celebration. The best Italian food I can remember. Yummy from A to Z. We shared 3 appetizers, had 3 mains and 2 desserts, plus cocktails and wine (by the glass). Attentive, very friendly service, good recommendations. Nice atmosphere, low noise level. Highly recommended, we'll be back for sure!

We love coming here on weekends, great spot to walk around and enjoy a meal. The pasta is always our favorite, and today’s scallops were amazing. Salad was fresh too. Food can be hit or miss sometimes (dinner is usually better than afternoon), but overall, highly recommend.

Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Italian restaurant is an absolute gem! The food flavors are mouthwatering from start to finish. The halibut was so fragrant and delicious that people at the next table asked us what it was on the menu! The burrata was heavenly, creamy and fresh, and both the soup and salad were outstanding. Every bite felt like a celebration of authentic Italian flavors. Truly an unforgettable dining experience!

We enjoyed it here but it didn't quite live up to its reputation. Service was very good and it would be a 3.5 if the half point was available. We found it to be on the expensive side. Good wine list and drink selection. The atmosphere was nice but nothing special. The food was good but not amazing as the prices would dictate. Atmosphere: 3.5 Food: 3 Service: 4 Drinks:4 Price/Value: 2.5 Overall: 3.5

Our server was amazing, very helpful. We got a pizza with figs on the top. They said they keep the pizza dough in the fridge overnight. It’s legit, you should try! Also a pasta and pork chop dishes were good too.

Poggio’s is a Sausalito staple. Great for drinks at the bar with friends, nice lunch in their outdoor bistro seating, or a fancier dinner for a celebration. Our table took 20 minutes longer than our reservation time, so we got cocktails at the bar (the martinis are great). When we finally sat down in a back of the room booth, it was still quite loud, so just a note for your audience. We got the wood fired flatbread which is like thin crust pizza dough that’s crispy in the edges, covered in oil and garlic. Simple but delicious. For appetizers, the burrata with pesto was large, and the pesto alone was amazing. The prosciutto and melon (it was honeydew) was as expected but still good. For mains, the risotto was exceptional, full of flavor and tons of seafood. The pappardelle pasta dish was decadent with a quail ragu (and an impressive amount of meat). The spaghetti alla amatriciana was simple, but well executed with a good portion of sauce. For the non-pasta lovers, the short rib was fantastic with the creamiest polenta. It was a little strange that a large (cooked) onion was just added to the dish, but good nonetheless. Wrapping up with dessert, the budino is the chocolate lava cake of your dreams. Even non-chocolate lovers will appreciate it. If you do have allergies, they’re great about confirming with the kitchen since some ingredients aren’t listed on the menu. Biggest highlight of the night was our waiter Jamsheed. He was attentive, thoughtful, helpful, and did his job with flare. Will definitely asked for him next time we come!

Food was good and we were taken in without any reservation which was awesome. The servers were very courteous. I wish they had more vegetarian options though.

This is my fourth time coming here, and the service with Francesco is always the best. He always explains the menu to me. He always tells me the specials of the day. And I always want to come back because he… Every time I come here, he makes my day special. I love the service he gives me, and that’s why I keep coming back to this restaurant.
