Linn's Restaurant is a renowned establishment in Cambria, California, offering American country-style cuisine and delectable bakery goods. It has become a local favorite since its inception in 1989, evolving from a humble fruit stand to a beloved eatery at the corner of Bridge Street and Main Street. The restaurant's menu prominently features fruits from the Santa Rosa Creek Farm, particularly the famous olallieberry. Linn's also boasts a regional wine list and houses a charming gift shop.
Food is excellent. Service is kind and attentive. Atmosphere is peddling fast. Their pot roast is tasty. The meat is cooked just right being moist and flavorful. Their gravy is so good with mushrooms yum! The chicken pot pie is rich and tasty. Our server was so friendly and on the ball getting our food, drinks and clearing dishes. The olallieberry jam is crazy good. The Olallieberry pie is heaven! This place has been here for a long time and there's a reasonn for that... they have delicious food, great service, and heavenly pie. You must go here.

Very good dining experience. We had a party of seven people and we all had different dishes. Everyone enjoyed their choice. The beef stroganoff and crab salad were excellent. Others had meat loaf, chicken pot pie, coconut shrimp, and fish and chips. The pie for dessert really topped the evening off! The atmosphere was unique and especially entertaining for a cyclist. There are many bikes mounted high on the walls and also signed jerseys displayed in frames. The attached gift shop has several books on biking as well as food items. There is a small parking lot in back. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Overall a unique, fun experience with reasonable prices and acceptable service.

Had a fantastic first meal at Linn’s. I had the pot roast and my partner had the mahi mahi special. I especially liked the cider because it was not overly sweet. We ended the meal with the olallieberry bread pudding. Our server was Jason who was just the right amount of fun and attentive.

I remember visiting Linn’s as a teenager back in the 1990s. Now it’s 2025, and I’m back in Cambria as an adult with my wife. My mother reminded me to make sure to visit Linn’s again, so that’s exactly what we did on our last day in town. We decided to have breakfast before our long journey home. All of the food was delicious, and we even found some amazing candies and other treats to take home, which we are still enjoying after our trip. We will definitely return to Linn’s on our next visit to Cambria. Maybe next time we’ll try lunch or dinner. Although we came for breakfast, our dining experience was memorable and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive. One thing to note is that this is a very busy and fast-paced place, especially during peak times. The only downside was the restroom situation. There were multiple people waiting when we were there, which was a bit of a letdown. I understand that space is limited, but perhaps future plans could include expanding the restroom facilities. Overall, thank you for another wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back!

This place is an amazing restaurant with a bicycle theme. There's dozens of vintage bikes hanging from the walls and ceiling. The restaurant sells their own pies, jams, etc. The owner is very nice, he helps out the wait staff and makes sure the customers are happy. Behind the restaurant is the bakery and more gift shops. Everyone is extremely nice, polite, and accommodating. Needless to say the food is great.

1st time coming to this establishment and it did not disappoint. The steak was amazing and so was the service. They serve good portions and prices are reasonable. Highly recommended especially celebrating a special occasion.

Very Visited Linn’s Restaurant in Cambria and really enjoyed it! ☕ The coffee was great, the eggs Benedict were delicious, and the breakfast burrito was solid too. The only thing I didn’t love were the pancakes — everything else was spot on. The decor is super charming, with bicycles hanging all around — a fun and creative touch that makes the place memorable. 🚲 Overall, it’s a cozy spot for breakfast or brunch with great service and a cool atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town!

Service is always kind, attentive, and super helpful. The meals are exquisite. Great variety of food, drinks, and dessert. Highly recommend the stroganoff - I get it every time :)

Located in Cambria, CA, Linn's Easy As Pie Cafe is a quaint little spot that offers handmade pies and bakery goods. The cafe is easy to love and afford, with delicious comfort food that can be enjoyed in either the garden patio out back or inside.
Let me start by saying that Linn’s makes THE best beef or pie I have ever eaten. Lots of beef and the crust is so flaky and delicious. Living locally I pick them up frozen to keep on hand. As for my visit to the cafe, it was delicious as always and I’m never disappointed. We had the grilled cheese with tomato soup and the pesto chicken sandwich with potato salad. You can dine inside or out on the patio and you the food comes out quickly. Both items we got were very good and we took some pie to go. Then we hopped over to Linn’s Gourmet Goods to pick up my frozen pot pies to go. Stellar food day in my book.
Deb G — Google review
We stopped by Linn’s just for dessert, and the olallieberry pie was amazing, seriously changed the way I think about pie. It wasn’t overly too sweet and was packed with flavor. Unfortunately, we had already eaten lunch, so we didn’t get to try any of the food, but everything in the store looked delicious. Definitely coming back hungry next time! The staff were friendly, and the place had such a cozy, welcoming vibe. They also have a small market where you can grab some of that incredible olallieberry jam to take home.
Mehrshad E — Google review
This place is an gem in middle of California. It worth swinging by here. Confort food and excellent customer service. I really recommend the Chicken Fresh Pie. Was an amazing experience.
Robertson S — Google review
Good pie; the flavor, the balance between sour and sweet and the pastry crunchiness was right. I suggest having ceramic plates and real forks for a full experience. Coffee a bit too bitter for my taste (over roasted) but I assume it is the way Americans like it. I had to ask for ceramic cup.
Razvan A — Google review
We showed up 20 minutes before Linns closed and despite us being johnny-come -latelies, they served us with great hospitality. We had some of the most delicious soups (the chicken Florentine was divine!) and sandwiches that we have ever had. We are unlikely to get back over again from England soon so we made sure to come back the following day for provisions for the next leg of our journey. Don't sleep on the pies, they were utterly delicious!
J C — Google review
We ordered chocolate cream, the famous olallieberry pie and old fashioned apple pie. The chocolate cream and apple pie were good but not so impressive. The olallieberry was the most disappointing, I wanted to try because of all the good reviews but maybe it’s just overrated and not for me.
B M — Google review
I decided to stop at this bakery before leaving Cambria because of the rave reviews of their Olallieberry pie on Yelp. I had to try it. It was nothing to write home about. I prefer a pie with a buttery flaky crust and this was the kind of soft kind of soggy crust? As to the filling it didn’t have a distinct flavor. I could have mistaken it for plain blueberry filling.
Laura E — Google review
My husband wanted to purchase a pie and Olallieberry was highly recommended by a gal who was at the pier in Avila. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it as you can see! We ate it before I took the photograph. When I was in college I worked at Marie Callender’s Pies and the pie from Linn’s was off-the-hook best!! Thank you, Eric, Donna, Daddy Don, and Anna.

Nestled in the picturesque Cambria, Robin's Restaurant is a beloved dining spot offering a diverse culinary experience. The charming space features Mexican, Thai, and Indian cuisine alongside a nightly vegetarian special. With over 30 years of history, this restaurant has become a landmark on the Central Coast. Visitors can savor eclectic global dishes in a historic adobe setting while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
Food was excellent. Ingredients were farm fresh as promised and the flavors were incredible. We ordered the Pork Chop and Robin's Chow, as well as the Peach Blueberry Crisp for dessert. We also received an order of their Chocolate Torte on the house because we were celebrating an anniversary. Service was great and we enjoyed being seated in their outside area on the patio surrounded by live music and lush greenery.

Highly recommend the truffle fries, garlic bread, sake-based cocktails, filet mignon, salmon, and afogatto. The ambiance is beautiful and they've done a great job heating and covering the outdoor spaces so you don't need to worry about the elements. We loved this place so much that we came back the next night for a second round!

Robin’s is a must when in Cambria. Both the indoor and outdoor settings are wonderful, although I would recommend the outdoor patio. The menu is eclectic and changes regularly. Nice wine selection and the service is great! We’ve been there twice in the past year and both times our meals were excellent. Make reservations. I would highly recommend Robin’s! Enjoy!!
Randy N — Google review
The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was sophisticated and calming and the service was good. We tend to eat vegetarian. The vegetarian cabbage rolls were stupendously delicious on a perfectly prepared exotic vegetable and mushroom bedding. My wife had the lasagna and loved it - portions are generous, cooked well and delivered hot. Highly recommended!

During our vacation in Cambria, we heard glowing recommendations about Robin's, a must-visit restaurant known for its cozy and elegant ambiance. To ensure a spot for our anniversary dinner, we made a reservation well in advance. Arriving a few minutes early, we were warmly welcomed and offered a comfortable seat outside while our table was prepared. The staff thoughtfully asked if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating, and we left the choice to them. They selected a lovely outdoor table, perfect for the occasion. Though Cambria evenings can be chilly, the staff promptly offered to turn on heaters or provide heated seats, ensuring our comfort. We found the setting naturally cozy and declined additional heating. From the attentive table service to the genuinely friendly staff, every detail was impeccable. The food was exquisitely plated, bursting with flavor, and left us eager for more. The inviting atmosphere made our anniversary dinner truly unforgettable. Robin's is now a highlight of our trip, and we can't wait to return to Cambria to dine there again, perhaps for both lunch and dinner in a single day. Oh yeah, the Garlic bread... Amazing!

One of the great restaurants you will find tucked away on the Central California coast is located in an obscure and quaint town called Cambria. This is a must stop for any serious foodie! The meals prepared are culturally diverse, with N. Indian Roghan Josh as one of the stars along with the short ribs over mashed potatoes. The appetizer menu is stunning with the Crispy Brussel Sprouts and the Crusted Calamari being presented on your dinner plate. This area of Cambria is located around a half hour north of Morro Bay and 45 minutes from San Luis Obispo. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is tops. Try this place next time you are out for dinner and you will not be disappointed.

Unmatched atmosphere and great food make Robin's a MUST, any time you are anywhere near Cambria! We've been coming for nearly 20 years now and it just keeps getting better. All your old favorites, just as tasty as ever, and just enough surprises to keep you on your toes!

Creekside Gardens is a charming small-town cafe and diner in Cambria, offering a laid-back atmosphere and delicious all-day breakfast options. The cafe features a spacious outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying meals with friends and family. The menu includes classic cafe fare such as burgers, sandwiches, egg scrambles, omelets, and salads at affordable prices. Visitors can also explore the adjacent Rich Man Poor Man antique store after brunch.
Amazing brunch/ breakfast spot. Reasonable prices especially with it being in the area. We got the two egg breakfast with bacon and a biscuit (so fluffy and warm 10/10) and a bacon burger. Had the sweetest waitress and overall the restaurant was so cute and honestly would come again for when we visit again.

Great place for breakfast or lunch! Our sandwiches were delicious. We brought our dog and it was very comfortable on the outdoor patio.

So, we originally stopped at Robin's but were told they were short staffed and there would be at least a 10 minute wait. There appeared to be empty tables everywhere though. So, we headed around the corner to Creekside Garden. The staff was friendly and helpful. The patio was comfirtable and welcoming. The found was so very good. My husband had a turkey fresno cheese sandwich with fries. The peppers were cooked perfectly for the sandwich and the fries yummy. I had beef fres.o and cheese sandwich with potato salad . The meat was perfect, peppers delicious and the potato salad was amazing. We will be back as the experience was better than we've had at Robin's.

This is one of our favorite breakfast spots in Cambria. It's located in a small shopping mall off of the Main downtown area. They seat parties quickly and have good food and service. The inside of the restaurant isn't anything spectacular, but the outdoor area (dog friendly) has lots of shade, trees and beautiful plants to look at - we always sit outside. They also have plenty of heaters outside if it's cold. They have brunch options which come with fruit, a drink of choice and your meal. The eggs are always perfectly cooked and have super golden yolks and always taste farm fresh. They serve lunch as well, however we have only been for breakfast. I would definitely recommend trying them out for an easy-going breakfast, brunch or lunch.

We liked the outdoor patio and day next to a fountain. No view or sound of a creek though. The service and food was great! Hue vos rancho and the roast beef sandwich were delicious! Just go!

Whether you're craving a classic croissant or a special occasion cake, the staff will have you covered.
What a wonderful surprise! We love to trythe bakeries when we travel, so found this bakery traveling the coast. It is outstanding! I had an almond croissant that was amazing, subtle flavors, light and flaky. Tried two different scones, also great. Will be back! Highly recommended.

The macaroons as well as the russian tea cookies are delicious!! I came back the next day to order more for the trip back home, the latte we had was also very good. I didn't feel like order from the other pastry dishes because all of them have whipped cream.
Ximena J — Google review
A real gem on Main Street. Super friendly staff and good pastries, bread, sandwiches, and coffee bar. Parking is available and seating for max 8 people inside with a few tables and chairs outside when the weather is warm. They take cash, cards, & Apple Pay. If you are intern breakfast and dinner but don’t want to go all in on a big lunch, come by for a quick pastry, sandwich, or coffee.
R K — Google review
Perfect spot to grab a sandwich before pretending you’re fancy at Hearst Castle or just trying not to get sand in your lunch at the beach. The staff is friendly and happy to customize your order, which means you can finally live out your dream of asking for “just a smidge less mayo” without judgment. Bathrooms are located outside and require a key—because nothing says quaint bakery charm like walking across the parking lot holding a giant wooden paddle labeled “Restroom.” Speaking of parking, good luck. Consider it your warm-up exercise before carrying sandwiches uphill. Overall, tasty sandwiches, friendly people, and just enough logistical quirks to keep things interesting.

From out of town and was recommended to this place by a local! I had the B.L.T sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, definitely recommend this spot if you're passing through.

We ordered a ginger scone and it was the best baked good I’ve had in years. Buttery, flaky, and complex in its flavors. Not too sweet - just perfection! Wish I had the recipe.

The FRENCH CORNER BAKERY reminds my wife and me of our lovely honeymoon, 55 years ago, in Acapulco Mexico. Yes, it's called "French," but deliciously prepared, lovingly baked, beautifully presented bakery goods are an international pleasure. There's the fresh baked Mexican Bolillos, a football shaped, pillow soft roll, encased in a crisp crust. (Kinda like a baguette.) The French Corner also bakes a selection of fruit filled sweet rolls, bagels, tortas, pies, tarts, cakes and breads. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. In the morning, I have enjoyed conversation with visitors from many countries. Locals tell me, this is their favorite morning stop. Rich expresso and brewed coffee drinks and teas are offered. Sandwiches are made with their fresh multi-grain breads, bolillos and baguettes. We've been coming here for years and strangely enough TheFrench Bakery seems to be getting better. I don't know how this is possible? STUFF: Limited seating, inside and out. Parking in their small lot is free and easy. Everything is wheelchair accessible.

My wife and I travel to Paso Robles often. Almost monthly, from Orange County. Our routine is to drive from wherever we're staying to this bakery, order a couple of sandwiches, and take them to Harmony Cellars a few miles down Highway One to enjoy with a bottle of their excellent Chardonnay. My wife always orders their pork milanesa, and I always get their veggie sandwich, the "Mother Nature". Of course we also have to get a slice of carrot cake or some other sweet for dessert. The place is always busy, but they have plenty of friendly and efficient help to speed things along. The sandwiches are consistently big and tasty. We love everything they do. It's a favorite of locals and tourists alike, so you know it's good.

The cozy spot serves up an array of delectable dishes alongside beer, wine, and mimosas. Visitors rave about the mouthwatering falafel plate which features perfectly crispy and well-seasoned falafel complemented by delicious hummus and tahini sauce.
Had an absolutely delightful experience! They kept their shop open for us even tho they were closing, we don’t eat meat and they made adjustments for us, introduced to their incredible homemade sauce made by the owner (fiery and delicious), were so gracious and kind, and the food was beyond amazing. I’ll never forget this place and will be back in the future. Thank you Antonio, you were a superstar!

really amazing food, we stopped through cambria on the way to monteray bay for some lunch and it was honestly the best food ive had the entire week ive been in california. im so surprised why this place isnt more popular, customer service and food are both really great! attached is mine and my mums food respectively (my dad got the same as my mum and they both loved their salads). 100% recommend here if you are near!!

We met the owner who was working at another restaurant in the evenings. We learned of his new restaurant ownership and came for breakfast. I enjoyed the Cambria Scramble which was pork chorizo scrambled with onions, served with hash browns and toast. My husband had his standard soft scrambled eggs and pancakes. Simple but tasty he said. Mine was delicious and served hot! The atmosphere pleasing, clean and friendly staff! Thank you for getting us off to a good start this morning. We wish you all the success for your future!

It used to be a Mediterranean spot, but a few months ago they switched over to a Mexican-American café, and the change has been such a good one. Just a heads up — most of the older photos on here don’t reflect what they’re serving now, so don’t let that throw you off. I had the Denver omelette and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Super flavorful, perfectly cooked. The hash browns were just how I like them — crispy on the outside, soft inside. I ate them so fast I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo (no regrets). The place itself has a super cozy, homey vibe — kind of like a little casita — and they had Banda music playing, which really brought the whole experience together. It just felt good being there. My wife tried the cranberry mimosa, and it was spot on — sweet but not too much, with champagne from San Antonio that gave it a nice touch. We split the French toast at the end, and it was the perfect way to finish — warm, soft, and just sweet enough. We left full and happy. Definitely coming back.

Great restaurant in downtown Cambria! New owners (6 mos.) are always there and very nice people. I was there for lunch and had the Birria Tacos...EXCELLENT! Lots of meat...tasty consomme for dipping. Menu has a great selection of both Mexican and American food. Good selection of sandwiches and burgers along with the south of the border choices. They also serve beer and wine. Next time I want to go in for breakfast. Y'all need to support this local food spot and the friendly local couple who own it!

Cambria Cafe is an absolute gem! The place is beautiful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The service was excellent—everyone was so friendly and attentive from start to finish. And the food? Outstanding! Every bite was flavorful and clearly made with care. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, you won’t be disappointed!

UPDATE - was in town 1 year after my initial visit. Ordered the falafel plate again to see if it was as good as before. It absolutely was! My husband said it was the best falafel he'd ever had. The salad and hummus sides were also delicious. BTW - the falafel is gluten free (without the pita) as are many other dishes on their menu. In summary, my falafel plate was the tastiest plate of food I've eaten in a restaurant in recent memory. It's so rare for EVERYTHING on the plate to be fantastic and full-flavored. Often, the entee will be tasty but the sides are lackluster. The Mediterranean food at Cambria Cafe was delicious: *I think these were the best falafel I've ever had: crispy, nicely spiced and light. Be sure to use the tahini sauce! *Hummus was delicious! Also very well flavored and light - not super dense *The salad was very, very tasty! Love the dressing and it was nicely dressed. *Pickles were really good - daikon? I spoke to the owners and they are delightful people. The wife is the chef. She said this food is what you might eat in Syria or Lebanon. I didn't try the grape leaves because I was too full to order them but I recommend you do as they sound way better than the typical ones.

Nestled in the charming West Village of Cambria, the West End Bar & Grill is a family-owned sports bar that offers a delightful blend of casual pub fare and an impressive selection of 15 draft beers. This cozy gastropub is perfect for both lunch and dinner, making it an ideal spot to unwind after exploring the area.
So happy I went to this cozy, tavern style restaurant and bar. There were families with kids, solo travelers and couples. Food was delicious and service was great. The Cajun pasta was yummy, perfect amount of spice

After the long walk along Moonstone Beach Boardwalk I decided to try this place for a late lunch. When I go to a seafood restaurant the quality of their Clam Chowder defines a lot for me. So, I order the chowder and the Spicy Fish Tacos. The Clam Chowder is more of a potato chowder with clam juice added for the flavor, I couldn’t taste any chunks of clams. The fish tacos were ok and I have to say very generous on the toppings. Service was excellent.

Really loved this spot. It wasn’t easy finding a dog-friendly place to eat later in the evening, but they welcomed us right into the main dining room without hesitation. 🧡 Food and drinks were top-notch, and the service was genuinely warm and impressively fast. The local vibe was strong—in the best way—and Patty went out of her way with dog treats, which earned instant points with our four-legged critic. We’ll definitely be back soon. Thanks again!

Ordered a regular burger and the Cajun pasta. Definitely a reason the Cajun pasta is a fan favorite. It saucy with lots of flavor. It comes with shrimp and sausage and delicious garlic bread. Service could improve. Atmosphere was chill.

What happened? New owners? Staff? It was a WED night and they were busy and only one person serving. She tried but man a room full of people and the wait time was too long. The food: I had the clam chowder in the bread bowl. The bread was soft, and not baked. The last time I had it, the bread was crispy and buttered, and it tasted amazing. This time it was not so good. The clam chowder itself was average and OK. She had the fish and chips. The fish was overcooked and super salty and the fries were old and not as tasty. We were both really disappointed because the last time we were here this place was amazing. The service was on the spot. Not sure what happened and if they are new owners, but it definitely shows.

It is a small place in Cambria ca. We went in and immediately felt welcome. The people were great and the food was just as good. I know for sure when we go back we are going to eat there again.

My husband and I each ordered clam chowder. It lacked flavor and had very few clams. There are several restaurants with much better clam chowder. The waitress was very nice and was by herself and was able to handle all the lunch crowd. The service was good.
Debbie S — Google review
What a great place. Went here to grab something to eat and have a beer, and have to say it took me by surprise. First of all the selection of beer is impressive, and the menu have just about the right amount of dishes to choose from. We tried shrimp cocktail, coconut shrimps with mango sauce, pasta Alfredo, Fisk and chips, clam showier in two versions. Everything was so good! The coconut shrimps are so delish and have a great crunch to them. And together with the sauce this became a winner. Fish and chips (Cod) have a great batter and the fish is so fresh. Just great. Service is great with a smile, and food comes out fast. If you're in the area, or passing through, I can really recommend this place.

Tucked away in Cambria's East Village, The Café on Bridge St is housed in a historic home and offers a perfect spot for lunch after exploring the Fiscalini Preserve or visiting the Cambria Historical Society Museum. This hidden gem is popular with locals for its great food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The quaint throwback interior and various seating options inside, out front, or in the back patio create a charming atmosphere to enjoy their delicious sandwiches and soups.
Wonderful little sandwich shop in Cambria. Kind of a hidden gem! Based on our daughter's glowing recommendation, we had lunch with her and her boyfriend at The Café on Bridge St. Seating was limited, however we found a nice table behind the restaurant, nestled up against the hill. My wife and I ordered the hot pastrami. It was delicious and filling. I washed it down with a Stella. There are lots of sandwiches to choose from, hot or cold, meatless, etc. Very quaint and homey feel, shared with loved ones. Highly recommended!

Awesome place. We had burgers and we sub the chips (no fries) with sides of salads (one potato salad and one coleslaw salad), everything was delicious. We also took a chocolate chip cookie, it was perfect! The place looks very pleasant and the patio is gorgeous.

Recommended by a local, glad we went! He had the portobello sandwich with pesto and artichokes. I had the pastrami with coleslaw. Everything was over the top good. Portions are wildly generous. And the place itself is charming. Great soda, beer, and wine list too.

LOVED our lunch here! What a cute little place. While it took a little while to order, the gentleman running the register was kind and engaging, telling us a few jokes along the way and helping us choose from the MANY sandwiches, burgers and salads available. I got a pesto chicken wrap but my wife was the real winner with her pork sandwich that was stuffed with roasted meat on a fresh kaiser roll. Both were very good. If it's a sunny day sneak on back and eat on the back patio. It's a cozy little spot to enjoy your meal among the trees and birds.

Day 2

North side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Hearst San Simeon State Park, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Hearst San Simeon State Park, one of the oldest in the state park system, offers a rugged and natural experience with its various preserves. Visitors can explore the Santa Rosa Creek Natural Preserve, San Simeon Natural Preserve, and Pa-nu Cultural Preserve. The park features stunning coastal views and the chance to observe elephant seals at certain times of the year. Nearby Pismo Beach is a popular spot for beach activities like sunbathing, surfing, and horseback riding.
We love camping at Hearst San Simeon State Park. The campground is primitive with pit toilets. There is a dump station and water station for trailers and rv's. Showers are available at the upper campground using tokens. Close to hiking trails and the beach. Pet friendly!! Internet is poor but you can get one bar to make calls. Near the village of Cambria and clise to Hearst Castle

Nice experience. I would recommend anybody to go there. Take your kids. The park is so nice. The food they gave you. There's a lot for what you pay for they don't shy on your food. Plenty of parking. It has its views. You can take a lot of pictures if you want to with your family and kids old friends

Overall the area is very nice. The hike was pretty with wildlife around but the trails have not been maintained well. The loop couldn't be completed because the bridges was out without being marked at the start and in many places the trail is overgrown.

I love how quiet all the campers were. Night time saw the stars and milky way. This was the dry camping area. They had power in the other area. Beach on the other side of the 1 hwy.

Really beautiful park, we stayed in the primitive camp spot, there weren't any rocks or anything like that so the ground was really smooth and nice for sleeping on. We were able to do a fire pit, came with a picnic table and water spit about nearby for washing dishes. Everyone was pretty compliant with noise at night which was great.

This place is absolutely incredible. The beach itself is beautiful and has some nice sand to come. And spend the day, but the most spectacular part of this beach is the hike that runs north of the beach along the bluffs. It goes back about 2 miles and has some stunning views of the coast. You can crawl down onto some of The Rocks and see fantastic ocean tide pools and waves breaking. Right in front of you, you can smell the eucalyptus trees. Mixed with the salty ocean air And it will invigorate you. I highly recommend you come and visit this park and take that walk. You will come out of it feeling so good.

My daughter and I absolutely adore spending time at this beautiful beach. It offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere, making it the perfect escape from our busy lives. The soft sand is impeccably clean, and the gentle waves create a soothing sound that enhances our relaxation. We often enjoy long walks along the shoreline, collecting seashells and watching the sunset cast vibrant colors across the sky. It truly feels like our own little paradise.
Abdul F — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous. Be ready for a lot of stairs. Even the ground floor tour has a lot. The weather at the Castle is much hotter than down below. They only have portable bathrooms up the hill and at the Visitors Center right now. They are extremely sensitive about you not touching anything and staying on the blue carpet. The upstairs tour is a smaller group and much more enjoyable. We had a very condescending male tour guide for the Grand room tour. I wish I could remember his name. Hopefully you all don't have him. He was short with dark hair. Knowledgeable but not my favorite. I wish they had a tour of the grounds. It is all beautiful and very peaceful.

A really nice place to stop and enjoy the California coast. There is a good parking area here along with picnic tables and bathrooms. Trails head off both to the north and south. Brunch restaurant
Nestled along Moonstone Beach Drive in Cambria, California, Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill offers a relaxed dining experience with breathtaking ocean views. Whether you choose to dine indoors or on the outdoor patio, you'll be treated to generous portions of seafood, steak, and pasta. The restaurant is known for its surf and turf options and locally-sourced ingredients that are freshly prepared each day. While it's a great spot for meat lovers, vegetarians may find limited options on the menu.
They don't take reservations. We got there around 5, opening time for dinner. Thirty minute wait, strange, as there were mostly empty tables. Maybe to stagger the kitchen duties? No problem, the bar was open, busy, but that makes sense. Ordered nice cocktails for us, and had a seat in the area across the bar. Very nice staff, seating us at our choice. Wait staff helpful and informative. Excellent seafood cakes for starters. Excellent dinner. Great 📸 views.
David D — Google review
I will start with the negatives which are not a lot; The wait time can be long because everyone is trying to get seated. We waited like 50 minutes or more and the bar is small. We were on vacation and we didn't have the kids with us. But we had our little bit of wine while we waited, And once we were seated everything was very good. The food was worth it and delicious. I had a shrimp pasta which was amazing. We spent a long time eating and also admiring the ocean views. We also saw a man walking around who looked like the restaurant manager, We absolutely loved that. We have no complaints of the food or drinks. The girl at the bar very friendly and they were working so hard and serving a lot of drinks there. So if you can have the patience to wait I would recommend this place.

We had a DELICIOUS meal at Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill! This is a popular spot as there were people lined up at the door before they opened for dinner! Lots of indoor seating, but it was a nice day so we sat on the patio that had plenty of coverage and views of the ocean. We started with the cajun shrimp and bay scallops on grilled french bread. For our main dishes, I tried the fish tacos and my husband had the salmon. Every bite was mouthwatering and we highly recommend this spot!

Great little spot in small resort area. High quality food in unpretentious seaside restaurant with good ocean views. Large outdoor patio, as well as indoor seating. Varied menu, that also includes plenty of seafood. Some onsite parking with plenty of additional on the street. Service is attentive, while not being overbearing. Great choice when visiting Hearst Castle or exploring the central coast. Has been a small wait each time we have visited.

Amazing restaurant, close to San Simeon. Great , friendly service. Good food, never felt rushed. Sat on the patio, they had overhead heaters and offered wool lap blankets, a nice personal touch. LOVED the lava cake! Please give it a try, when in the area.

Staff recommended Cajun chimp and bay scallop served over grilled french baguette. Sadly three pieces of grilled bread soaked in soup sauce served soggy with tasteless shrimp and scallop. Candid walnut salad was very average with little greens 🥬 (don’t let the photo fool you) mostly walnuts . 🍸 was unremarkable I was too hungry to care after long drive but would not recommend

Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill is one of the top places when you research best restaurants in Cambria. I was extremely disappointed. Hostess didn’t share that I couldn’t order food from the bar so I went to the bar, ordered a drink, sat there and asked for a menu. Then was told I couldn’t. It was a 50 minute wait for a table. I asked the server at my table what he recommended as it was my first time. He recommended the shrimp and scallop tacos and the spicy chicken pasta. I got the pasta. What a disappointment! There was barely any chicken in it. Maybe 4-5 bite size pieces. For $30 i expect a lot more! Luckily I had extra waters at my table since mine was never refilled. I ate 3/4 of my meal before I was asked how it was. Way over priced for what you get! Not sure if I’ll come back!

The Cow Tipper at Oceanpoint Ranch is a charming dining spot located at the north end of Moonstone Beach Drive. It offers made-to-order breakfast, grab-and-go items for picnics, and a delectable dinner selection. The restaurant has received rave reviews for its delicious food, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere. Guests have praised the mouthwatering breakfast options such as Eggs Benedict, hotcakes, and breakfast sandwiches.
My family and I ate here both mornings we stayed at Oceanpoint Ranch. The food was great but the service Sarah gave us was top notch! Her cheery spirit brightened our morning and when my daughter made the request for a Minnie Mouse pancake, Sarah didn't hesitate to talk to the chef and make it happen ! Sarah and the staff get gold stars in our opinion!

I was just here a month ago and they had bagel and fish breakfast sandwich with cream cheese. They told me this time they have a temporary menu and it’s not on there. So I ordered eggs, medium, and got runny eggs and mushy potatoes. Bacon was good

We ordered a $60 breakfast to go as this place was advertised by our hotel. The delivery was late, it looked like it was literally thrown together in the box, no napkins, NO SILVERWARE, and the food was absolutely disgusting. I’m not sure how you mess up eggs but if you want to learn give them a call. This is what a $16 breakfast tostada from this dump looks like.

The Cow Tipper is a cute restaurant right next door to Oceanpoint Ranch. When you don’t want to go anywhere for breakfast etc. it’s convenient. It wouldn’t be my first choice for food. 18% gratuity is automatically added to your order. We went there for breakfast on our first day of staying at Oceanpoint Ranch. The breakfast sandwich was flavorful. The breakfast burrito lacks seasoning and is forgettable. The prices are high for what you get. A better place for breakfast is Linn’s which is a 5 min drive down the street. Adding an espresso bar would help elevate their current coffee selection.

First off, I am an owner in the Food Industry in another state. I am well acquainted with all the struggles faced in today’s environment… I want to acknowledge the amazing job Sarah is doing. She is unicorn status. Ok, first greeted with a smile and dialogue that said “ I’m happy you're here…. And I’m having a good day” Running what appeared to be a 3 person show, they executed. The food was very good and in these tough times , High Quality. It’s Fast-Casual, so you order at the register. The whole system was explained and where all the condiment stations were. At the stations the condiments were all organized and cleaned with almost AR attention to detail. Every sauce bottle (etc) was wiped clean and faced so perfectly that any merchandising manager would be impressed. In closing way exceeded expectations ( how often does that happen?)

Enjoyed the restaurant. We have ate several times while at adjacent hotel. They have high quality and fun enjoyable meals. Centrally Grown is a rustic restaurant offering Californian-style cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients. Situated on a hill, the property provides stunning ocean views. The place comes highly recommended, with delicious and unique food such as the brussel sprout appetizer and perfectly cooked burgers. While the name may be misleading in terms of sourcing, it's still considered a must-stop along Highway 1 due to its breathtaking views and well-designed surroundings.
Fan.freaking.tastic. Loved everything. The food was delicious and unique. I HIGHLY recommend the brussel sprout appetizer. My daughter who hates brussel sprouts ate half and she wanted me to get the recipe. I had a burger, perfectly cooked and she had the Cuban sandwich. We enjoyed every bite. I suspect other reviews are people trolling this place. View and decor are breathtaking.
Gena M — Google review
Centrally Grown is a bit of a misnomer due to their food not really coming from local farms or producers, but this is a must-stop along Highway 1. The entire structure and surrounding area is so well done you feel like you can cancel the rest of the day's plans and stay here. Whether your thing is soaking in the gorgeous oceans views punctuated by well curated vintage tschotchkis or sipping on a local draft beer or locally sourced wine, Centrally Grown has nailed it when it comes to making you feel right at home. Now, back to the misnomer part. We had brunch here, and the food offering were not local. The eggs benedict had canned sauce, and the egg scramble was mostly store-bought ingredients including the sauces. I'm sure some of the food is from around here, and honestly, I am not a purist when it comes to farm-to-table. I just think their chef is working in hitting his or her stride. Bottom line: Give this place an hour or two of your time, and you'll be so glad you did!

Edit: We had such a good time that we came back for breakfast the next day and sadly I have to come back and edit this review. The new owners removed all of the traditional breakfast foods just leaving açaí bowls and breakfast sandwiches. We were a little disappointed so we just got a juice. The workers are slow, only filled the juice halfway and overall just didn’t strive to serve their customers. So we had a 5 Star experience at lunch and a 1 Star experience at breakfast giving a 3 Star experience overall.

Such a beautiful property, with an amazing view. Great food, nice people, beautiful grounds with outdoor areas and plenty of options for food, drink, wine tasting, shopping. Just a great place to visit no matter what meal or snack you are looking for.

Great place, great space, great decor, service, & staff was really nice. Everything is great about this place except for the food and the happy hour. What kind of happy hour ends at 5 p.m.? Who's happy about that BS? That's Un-American! Food was bland must be for old people w/no taste budz. Stay away from the scallops, & chicken picatta all sauce/capers. The clam chowder was 110% on point, delicious. The best I've had in a decade!

Located in Cambria, Oceanpoint Ranch offers a cozy stay with homey rooms featuring fireplaces and patios. The property includes a garden and a pool for guests to enjoy. Nearby, Linns of Cambria is a must-visit spot, offering an amazing restaurant and bakery experience. Guests can dine at Linns Restaurant on Main Street or visit the famous Olallieberry pie at Linns Easy As Pie Cafe just minutes away.
The location is amazing. The amenities are wonderful. It has a very private un hotel feel. Our first night, we had an issue with our fireplace *user error* prayerfully, Brianna came to our rescue. This woman was the only employee here and still made time for us. She fully gets a 10/10 for service, patience, and kindness. I wish there were more people so willing to go the extra mile. She fully deserves a raise, IMO. 👏🏼 we will absolutely be returning

We really enjoyed our stay at Oceanpoint Ranch! The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach. The on-site restaurant was cute and served a delicious breakfast to start the day. We loved relaxing in the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit and playing the outdoor games in the evenings. The grounds are beautiful and would make a wonderful setting for an event. A great place to unwind in Cambria as a couple or family!

We really enjoyed our time at Oceanpoint Ranch! Rooms are very cute and we were provided a complementary bundle to start a fire with in our fireplace! The beach (which feels private) was just steps away and had the prettiest stones/pebbles and shell fragments. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodative. Please be aware that there is no AC- only wall heaters. Front desk staff brought us a portable room fan and it was cool enough at night with the windows down. I agree with other guests that a ceiling fan would be ideal. Overall, a really nice stay!

We had a small intimate wedding reception. We rented out six rooms and rented out the barn in front of the parking lot for about four hours also rented out from a furniture store some furniture, sofas, coffee tables which ocean point ranch was more than happy to accept and let us set up. We also hired a private professional Singer where she also set up with no complaints from the staff. everything was beautiful very dreamy. Everything we expected. The weather was 74° and sunny. It was just perfect. The rooms not enough storage to put your clothes. There is no closet That was probably our only real complaint other than that Location is perfect. I would recommend to family and friends.

The room at everything. Except for a microwave. Very strange. And the coffee maker was pretty much hidden. Thankfully, we travel with our own coffee maker because you can’t trust the ones in hotels. Room was clean. Staff was wonderful, they were resurfacing one of their parking lots so parking was also a real pain. But that’s a temporary situation and you can’t really take points off for that
Lore P — Google review
I had unexpected charges for items in the room not labeled with a price and not clarified upon check in or check out of hotel. If I was properly informed, I would not have used them, I genuinely believe it was part of the amenities. When I called to ask front desk about it, I was not offered a refund or treated with better customer service about it. Like I said, if I was properly informed, I would have this unexpected charge. A bad ending to the stay. They can definitely do better to enhance the good rapport with customers. Can’t cut corners if you want your hotel to be 4.5 stars and above.

Cabin style, one story rooms with excellent beds & good water pressure. Nicely landscaped outdoor areas and a large area with horseshoes & other games & firepits. Clean & unpretentious place to stay in fall. Did not see any air conditioning.

Stayed here for 2 nights during our road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and this hotel was fantastic! The room was very clean, and it’s in close proximity to the beach, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Barbecue restaurant
Main Street Grill in Cambria is a popular American grill known for its meat-centric menu featuring steak sandwiches, burgers, and ribs. The restaurant offers a sports-bar setting and has garnered numerous positive reviews. Visitors can enjoy Santa Maria-style BBQ, with the tri-tip sandwich being a standout dish served on a crispy French roll. In addition to the delicious meats, Main Street Grill also offers giant hamburgers and shredded pork sandwiches. This establishment is highly recommended for those seeking quality American cuisine in Cambria.
A "must stop" during a trip to Cambria or just passing through while taking a road trip on the famed Pacific Coast Highway! The staff is friendly and the food is beyond awesome, especially the tacos! They are oversized and stuffed with whatever choice of meat you select! Puts some traditional taco shops to shame. The burgers are cooked perfectly and the fries are fresh, hot, and one order is a lot! The onion rings also rock!!! The menu selection has quite a bit of variety. Plenty of seating both indoor and outside. Dining outside is a beautiful experience with the fresh air and observing the town of Cambria. Great ambience with a "beach town" vibe!

One of my favorite spots in town! This place serves delicious, made-to-order American comfort food with generous portions at a great price. It’s a great casual restaurant to bring the whole family with quick service. It was so good, I had to come back for more!

Decided to come here due to seeing really good reviews on Google. We were staying down the way in San Simeon and didn't want an expensive sit down meal. We were really impressed with the food. Both the tri tip sandwich and pulled pork were fantastic ! This is a must stop if you love BBQ meats.

My boyfriend and I came here two separate times on our trip because we loved it so much. Food was fantastic both times, super quickly made, friendly staff, and the price for the portions we received was a great value, especially compared to other places in the area!! Lots of indoor & outdoor seating. They give you a number and call it out loud so you can pick it up. Nice system. Bar and football playing as well. What’s not to love. (fries were AMAZING)
Naomi O — Google review
Great food at a reasonable price. You order and pick it up when they call your number. I got the shrimp and chips and my sister wanted the ABC burger. My fries were well seasoned and the shrimp was crispy and paired with tangy cocktail sauce is close to nirvana. My sister's burger was juicy and full of flavor! My only gripe is seating is not very comfortable and it is a bit stuffy in the room. But a must to eat at if you are in Cambria!
Marie S — Google review
The Tri-tip sandwich is a must-try! The most tender Tri-tip I've ever had! My husband got the pulled pork and it too was amazingly delicious! The Ranch Beans were so good. The overall location is extremely clean and well-kempt. Foods range from seafood to BBQ to salads. If driving on Hwy 1 - don't miss out on this Main Street mainstay!

One of my favorite beaches to go to. I would recommend using a good pair of beach shoes, at least for me I need it, my feet felt miserable after walking into the sand with some rocks in it. But other than that, it’s beautiful there. Try your best to park there early because sometimes the spots can be really full. :)

Plenty of wildlife (we saw lots of birds and deer), beautiful benches, and a well maintained boardwalk with intersecting trails.
Whitney G — Google review
Went here on a Saturday morning. Parking was easy to find and not too busy. We did a 4 mile hike along the reserve. There's various trails along the way. We took one that took us to the top of the hill in a small forested area. Trails weren't too hard to go through. Some steepness on certain parts, but nothing too challenging. The downhill was a challenge for me since I've had knee surgery (torn meniscus and replaced patela), so I used hiking sticks and took my time. Really nice wood-themed benches and chairs along the way and nice views of the beach. Overall, definitely worth doing a nice walk along the cliffs or do the more challenging hikes on the hills.

Easy wooden plank trail and if you want to be more adventurous, you could take other trails up through the trees and wood and over the hill,

French restaurant
Madeline's Restaurant & Wine Cellar is a sophisticated dining spot in Cambria, CA. The restaurant offers an intimate ambiance with candle-lit dining and a menu inspired by American and French cuisine. While they do serve vegetarian options, their focus is mainly on seafood and meat dishes. Additionally, Madeline's features a wine cellar and tasting room where guests can enjoy wine flights with their meals and purchase bottles from the shop.
I don't have enough stars to grade this restaurant. From service, to food and ambience, it is a 11/10. I don't find duck breasts everywhere cooked properly. In fact, this is the first place in the US that I found the closest to what I can only find in France. Needless to say, a pleasant surprise! Do reserve in advance though. We were accommodated without a reservation, but it was very busy on a Sunday night.

So this week in Cambria after finding this local gem, I never go elsewhere. I come here for lunch, afternoon wine and then dinner, 3x a day 😆 for a couple days First night: Haven’t had duck 🦆 breast cooked this perfectly in a very, very long time. Next day lunch: had pork belly burger 🍔 it’s sooo crispy !! Second night: Tonight the filet mignon was absolutely the best I’ve had in a long long time, paired with their own wine “Madeline’s cab” this meal was truly 10/10. There’s was one last bottle left, therefore I brought it home 🥳

A fantastic, quaint restaurant on downtown Cambria's Main Street. Amazing food, great wait staff, and a cozy atmosphere. We had the frog leg appetizer, stuffed chicken breast, venison sirloin, and three-layer chocolate cake. Excellent wine and port choices. And a very tolerant and friendly wait staff. Definitely a must-visit in Cambria and a wonderful place for date night. We'll be back!

This place had cuisine so remarkable I cried. As I have been to France many times and am quite a cook myself, this restaurant was a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Cambria, CA. I have had challenges finding authentic French affair anywhere outside of La France. This place... gracious me... just reminded me of tastes you can typically only find in Europe. The foods were fresh and bold. Full of flavour, with plenty of butter in the expected fashion! My scallops were a mesmerizing start to my meal. Fresh. Perfectly seared. Mildly 'sweet' with subtle hints of sage and the salty sea. I really just wanted an entire bowl of the scallops alone. I would have been blessed. I did not have to force myself to choose the warm baby spinach salad. Baby greens with a bright vinaigrette, toasted pecans and dried cranberry. Fresh mozzarella slices. Micro-thin red onion. Just a wonderful way to clean the palate before main course. This establishment is known for its filet mignon, though, I had filet the previous evening. I decided upon the chicken breast stuffed with brie, among other savory offerings. The thin skin was delicately crisp. The flesh... fork-tender. The filling just splendid and truly, on-point. Service was remarkable with smiles and friendly staff all around. If I could go there every day, I certainly would. I was delighted beyond expectation.

This was our first time at Madeline's Restaurant and we loved it. Such an intimate setting inside, warm and inviting. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! Their cream of mushroom soup is amazing, so flavorful and the chicken stock base keeps the soup less dense than regular cream. Their chicken dish and fresh fish catch of the day dinners were cooked really well, loads of flavor and beautiful presentation. And dessert...omg...the raspberry key lime pie was SOO good!!

Best food, choices and prices than any restaurant in Cambria. I wish I'd known that at the beginning. I wouldn't have wasted my money at Moonstone Grill and Linns. I had Rabbit. Though the unique choices were elk, duck and then fish and steak. My husband had the Gumbo.

Guests can also enjoy the laid-back atmosphere with some background music in the garden outside. This place can make a significant difference in starting your day off right! It is all about homely tones, and cozy seats. There is even a basket of blankets to keep yourself warm! We soaked up on vitamin D while munching on a breakfast croissant (which was perfect, by the way). The iced chai latte was smooth and creamy, I could detect spicy notes. The staff was friendly, and they made our experience special.

I stopped here while traveling up the coast recently because I had a taste for something sweet. They had the most amazing fresh apple crisp cheesecake bread! It wasn't until I had traveled much further up the coast that I realized I may have lost my creditcard there. When I called they said yes they had found it and were more than happy to mail it to my home in Iowa. Not only amazing bakery but nice honest people!

Good coffee, specialty beverages, and sandwiches. Came here with a group of friends and got lunch and a coffee, was not disappointed. They make a seasonal apple chai that was delicious. Turkey sandwich was perfect. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and appreciated the easy bussing station.

Went on a Bike ride from my Grandpa's house and stopped by Lilly's for some breakfast with my wife and sister. Got the grilled cheese sandwich special and the tomato soup. It was excellent!! The grilled cheese had the perfect amount of ingredients that didn't over power the others in the sandwich. The soup was hot and refreshing. They added cheese on top which was great! I also got an Iced Tea which had free refills! I will definitely be coming back when I visit my Grandpa's again!

Located on Main Street in Cambria, California, Redwood Cafe is a classic American diner offering a cozy and rustic atmosphere. The restaurant is known for its generous portions of breakfast classics like fluffy omelets, pancakes, and eggs benedict. With friendly staff and endless coffee top-ups at the counter, it's an excellent choice for a delicious meal.
Redwood Café was exactly my kind of place, traditional and super cozy, just how I like it. The atmosphere felt welcoming right away. I had the traditional Benedict, which was wonderful, the staff were all friendly and attentive. Great food, great vibes I really enjoyed the whole experience.

We had a good experience at redwood cafe. We walked in right before a rush around 10am. We were seated, however we waited about 10 minutes without a menu or drinks offered until a young lady noticed and brought out menus. We then ordered our meals. Husband got French Toast plate, he says it was good, typical brekfast. I got the cake and eggs that came with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and either 2 bacons or 2 sausages. I liked my plate as well however it felt like 4 eggs rather than 2. Our toddler ordered from the kids meal and he enjoyed his meal too. We ordered hash browns on the side since none of the meals came with it. Overall it was good food, good service, and we understand there was a rush.
Yahaira S — Google review
Nice cozy place that felt charmingly old fashioned. The food was solid quality but nothing to get excited about. I felt it was lacking seasoning and flavor (a little bit of garlic powder, paprika and herbs would go a long way). The cinnamon roll was too sweet. I got the bacon burrito and my dad got an omelet and agrees it lacked flavor. Service was great though!
Hannah W — Google review
Amazing food here, I believe that you know a good place when your poached eggs are runny and these were! The only downside is the outside seating - it is right next to the carpark and the radio/music was quite loud. But all this is okay when you have an amazing breakfast 😋
Charlotte T — Google review
We were driving to the Antique store in the same shopping center, and we stopped to get some breakfast. The had indoor and outdoor seating. The inside kinda spelt funky. So we sat outside. But other than that, the restaurant is VERY kid and wheelchair user friendly. The service was fast and our waiter was incredibly sweet. They didn't have a lot of publicity, but they deserve some more. The food was INCREDIBLE! My mom and aunt got the grits with their meal and they said it was very good. I got the cinnamon roll fench toast, and OH MY GOSH, it was sooooo good that I need to make it. Service was good and fast. She made sure our drinks were always filled to the top, and we had everything we need. I will be back!

Small place with friendly staff. That’s a PLUS in our book. Food was great, no pics though. Trust me the meat lovers and veggie omelettes were very tasty along with the house potatoes. The portions are very generous. First time visiting Cambria, but when we return, this will be our first breakfast in town again.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews so I’ll start with the positives. Great service! I loved our waiter and the nice, homey atmosphere. Regarding the food: Stay away from the breakfast burrito. You’ve been warned. Corn beef hash was mushy and not fried enough. The eggs & bacon dish was ok. They bake their bacon - which is cool but not baked enough. The fried eggs weren’t that fried. Did I mention the service was great?!

JBJ Round Up Pizza n' Grub is a cozy, rustic pizza parlor in an Old West theme. They specialize in brick-oven pies and also offer subs, draft beer, wine, and have a charming patio area. It's the perfect place to grab a delicious meal to-go during your stay at the hotel. Everything is this place it top! I loved being able to access this restaurant from the back because I had a stroller. My toddler got the spaghetti (no meatballs) and he ate it all. Husband and I got a half and half pizza and it was delicious. The crust was soft but crunchy just how I like it. Definitely recommend this place. Great service as well. He came back every so often to check on us. We appreciate it. ❤️

Fun, eclectic vibe with horse and carriage style. Ask for Monica as your server as she’s full of positive energy. Pizzas are excellent. Try the thin crust version.
Anuj A — Google review
We stopped here to grab some pizzas to enjoy while we watched the sunset over the water. We waited only about 25-30 min for the pizzas. The crust is exactly what I want in a pizza crust, a crispy outer layer while soft and airy inside. Both pizzas we ordered that stated they had “garlic butter sauce” seemed too dry, like maybe it was just garlic butter being used as a sauce, so it felt like eating a breadstick. The flavor of all the ingredients was really good! If we came again, we would request a different sauce or just avoid pies that used the garlic butter option. The pizza with red sauce didn’t experience this problem. Overall good experience and we would come back.

Been coming here for ages and I always eat here when I visit Cambria. I love the charming old school pizza place vibes. They have old video game cabinets with Mario Bros and Magic Sword. Out door dining is available but I have never used it. My family loves it here too.

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in a restored historic gas station at the west end of Main Street, Old Stone Station is a charming American eatery with a rich history. Originally a gas station and garage, it was transformed into a restaurant in 1993 and has since become an integral part of the Cambria community. The restaurant offers classic coastal dishes such as fried calamari, oysters, burgers, steaks, and prime rib.
Sits on a corner with plenty of free street parking (at least in September.). Pups welcome and there is a cute outdoor patio that hugs corner; enter through that door (a few steps to access.) Lots to look at, fun signs and great vibe. Also small patio covered patio at main entrance too. The staff were epic. Very welcoming, kind and gave excellent sincere service. Appreciated the water bowl for my pup! Food is basic fare; you’re not coming here for a foodie experience. Instead, soak up local color, meet and chat with others and enjoy a meal/full bar with your beloved pup companion! I’m here for a week; I’ll be back.

Location is easy to find on Main St. Parking on street or in the back. Handicap access. Customer service was friendly and helpful. Our take out order took 10 minutes. Vontsiners were sturdy. Plastic ware and napkins werd provided. I ordered the portabella mushroom sandwich. It was delicious with sliced tomato, pickle and caramalized onions in whole wheat bun. The cup of chowder was okay. It had more fillers than clam. Hubby ordered the fried fish, calamari, shrimp and chips. He liked it a lot. Prices were moderate. Certain items are per market price.

Its a great restaurant that seems to have been around for a long time. They let you sit on the patio with your dog. Our server was spectacular! Very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is very old and kitschy but that's not really a bad thing.

Passing through Cambria we stopped at the Old Stone Station. We ordered various fish varieties and burgers for our group. We loved the food and service! Plus, they had several wine options. We enjoyed sitting on the patio. It was a nice atmosphere that seemed to also be a local favorite! Food portions were large and it was a great place to fill up, relax and talk with family!

Food was not great. They over cook my steak. The only good thing that was going for them was the service.
Fernando S — Google review
Great food and service have not been disappointed yet! The seafood pasta is so delicious, Bbq oysters all seafood even the salmon are great. They have gone out of their way to accommodate us between lunch and dinners …. Jesse has been such a sweetheart. For my Birthday last November it was late but she made my daughters , granddaughters, John and us feel at home and accommodating. We love it ! Update: Well on Wednesday July 24th, 2024 first time to our disappointment we were craving their Seafood Pasta the sauce was water down with just 2 one inch pieces of fish , couple of clams and lots of overcooked calamari all rubbery . Not sure if the cook didn’t want to cook a fresh batch but we know it will be awhile before we try it again . This time we give it only 2 stars .

Excellent service and food. The Decor is a pretty cool mix of antique gas station stuff, auto/marine repair and fishing gear, very area appropriate. They have patio seating and inside, which also has a second level. Daily specials, happy hour, and a good vibe. My wife had the fish and chips which was excellent, crunchy, not overly fried or greasy. I had the seafood combo. Everything was great, I really enjoyed the calamari and the shrimp. The fries were also surprisingly good, probably the best we had along the coast. The Modelos were cold and served with a wedge of lime. We highly recommend old stone station while in Cambria.

We came here for lunch on our way back from visiting Hearst castle and I am so glad we did! Perfect beach spot with friendly and prompt service, and a great selection of food and beverages. I got the catch of the day which was Mahi Mahi and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, along with my salad and their house herb garlic dressing. My husband got the chowder bread bowl which was also amazing (yes I had a few tastes) and even our beers were good! The next time we are nearby we will definitely be back.

Mexican restaurant
Medusa's Taqueria is a cozy Mexican eatery with a simple chalkboard menu offering classic Mexican dishes and breakfast options. It's known for its flavorful shrimp tacos and refreshing horchata. The taqueria is described as a casual, 'hole-in-the-wall' spot with fantastic food and service. The owner makes the salsa in-house, which adds a burst of flavor to the dishes.
absolutely delicious food, and our server was so nice and friendly too. got it to go to eat on the beach, but the adorable art made us want to stay. highly recommend the squash enchiladas !

Really great food and wonderful people working here. Some of the best Mexican food. My wife loves the tostadas and for me it's the fish tacos. I wish we lived closer... but every trip to Cambria we always stop in.

Medusa is the best Mexican food place I've ever eaten at. The fajitas, homemade chips and salsa are amongst so much on that menu that is delicious. Our top top when we go back to visit.
Isabelle R — Google review
Went there while visiting Big Sur. It is a really small restaurant. As an appetizer, the staff gave us free chips and salsa. We ordered 2 Tacos with rice and beans. The food was okay, but the portion was small. There is a parking lot behind the shopping complex and you can also use the street parking.
Tasnim I — Google review
While this is definitely a casual, "hole-in-the-wall" little place the food and service were fantastic. The salsa is made in-house by the owner, very flavorful. The chips were good and could have used some salt (but hey, that's why there's salt on the table). I had two tacos, shredded chicken and shredded beef. The chicken was moist though didn't have a lot of flavor (added the salsa for some zip). The shredded beef was well cooked, the greens, cheese and radishes gave it a nice flavor. The tortillas were doubled and though the tacos were stuffed, the tortillas held it all. Beer was ice cold. Don't expect a lot from the dinning room, this is a tiny little pop and son restaurant with a big flavor.
George A — Google review
I forgot to add my pictures for Medusa’s taqueria. So here they are. As in tried to do a prior post, the food was disappointing. I ordered a chicken grilled quesadilla and they added canned chicken into that quesadilla— as soon as I left the restaurant I stopped to the closest gas station to buy chocolate and get rid of that taste. I couldn’t eat that quesadilla and had a burrito which was meh, but not as disgusting as the quesadilla. I initially was excited about this local place. Because of their generous wine pour they get 2*. Food is sad.
Elena I — Google review
The great food, and super friendly atmosphere makes Medusa’s our favorite stop whenever we visit SLO Town! Best fish tacos I’ve ever had!

Sea Chest Oyster Bar is a popular, nautical-themed eatery in Cambria known for its fresh seafood and oysters. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with a game-filled lounge and a focus on serving top-notch seafood. Visitors can enjoy local wine paired with fresh oysters served raw or sautéed in wine and garlic.
Great food, great service. Be sure to bring cash, we came on a Thursday afternoon and there were people waiting in line before it open. We were able to get in quickly. Definitely worth the time and trip.
Frank V — Google review
We visited Cambria this weekend and decided to try Sea Chest since we were staying within walking distance. Oh man! This place is incredible. We loved it so much we decided to go for dinner both nights of our trip! The shrimp and scallop scampi was delicious and my husband enjoyed the fresh catches of the day each night. We arrived at opening time each night so it was about an hour wait but honestly it went by so quick. They have plenty of room to wait inside or outside with a glass of wine and on Saturday night they had live music in the outside waiting area. The service was great both nights as well. Make sure you order the chocolate torte and a nice cup of coffee for dessert - you will not regret it! Can’t wait to visit again soon!

GET THE CIOPPINO. I drive to Cambria once a year just to come order it. Everything is delicious. Beautiful views by the ocean. Cash only but they have an ATM. Come early at opening, there’s a line. So worth the wait.
Mandy K — Google review
A very cute locally owned restaurant- CASH ONLY!! They do have an ATM. Arrive early if you would like a seat in the front room with ocean views. We arrived at 5:18 (opens at 5:30) and this was a line- we were in the back of the house. It seemed like 5 more groups got in behind us and then there was a wait. They have a list of fresh caught options. Definitely get the sourdough garlic bread, delicious! We also got the mushrooms as an appetizer and they were very good. Main meal (fish) comes with soup or salad as well as a side of potato and veggies. Everyone was with enjoyed their food! The fresh caught option is $38-42- but fresh caught food from a local restaurant, it’s what we expected. I was reading other reviews about it being bland- I would say it’s more so on the healthy side. It’s not coated in fat and bread like people are used to with their food. I thought it was delicious, the fish is so fresh it doesn’t need to be smothered. I was happy about this because finding fresh healthy food is difficult these days. Everything comes off of a truck and is covered in grease. The service was slow but they were packed- I never hold this against a locally owned business. We ordered right away and I we got out of there around 7pm. This isn’t a quick dinner- it’s a nice sit down. Maybe different vibe at the bar though! We got 2 classes of wine, an iced tea, mushrooms, bread, 2 fresh caught options, and a pasta it was $198.

⭐ 1 Star The food here was absolutely phenomenal, but the service was one of the most uncomfortable experiences we’ve ever had dining out. We were seated right next to one of the staff’s family members — Kalia’s husband and daughter — and it was immediately clear they were receiving completely different treatment than us. While they got her full attention, we were mostly ignored and made to feel like outsiders sitting beside a family gathering. What made things worse was how her husband and daughter kept watching us throughout the meal — it felt like they were monitoring our interaction with Kalia, which made the entire experience feel tense and intrusive. We also couldn’t help but notice Kalia’s husband consuming several glasses of wine while seated with their daughter during our meal. It added to the uncomfortable atmosphere and made us question the professionalism of having family seated and drinking alongside guests in the dining area. Kalia herself was dismissive toward us, which only added to the awkwardness and made what should have been a relaxing date night feel unpleasant. Thankfully, Izzy — who we initially thought was just another waitress — turned out to be our actual server. She was kind, attentive, and professional, and truly the only reason we didn’t walk out. It’s such a shame that a restaurant with food this good allows this kind of dynamic to happen right in front of paying guests. Being treated differently than a staff member’s family, while feeling watched the entire time, made an otherwise special night feel awkward and unwelcoming.
Mike M — Google review
Such a lovely dining experience! The service was warm and welcoming from the start, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us with a bigger table by the window so we could enjoy the sunset view - such a thoughtful touch. The food was very good with generous portions, and everything felt fresh and satisfying. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between romantic and friendly, making it easy to relax and soak in the moment. Watching the sunset with such positive vibes made the evening truly memorable. Highly recommend!
Selinda Z — Google review
It’s a bit overrated place. Apart from the view food was mediocre. We were in town for 1 night and it was Friday. I was a bit nervous about waiting in queue for so long but there were only 2-3 groups waiting apart from us. While our name was written on wait list, we asked if we could wait on bar. I was hoping to get a seat front of kitchen with a glass of wine but we have directed to the back of room next to toiletes, a tiny bar facing wall with 3 bar stools. Assuming they are now providing kitchenview stools for dining. We got not-so-bad glass of wine and waited for less than half an hour to be seated. The host was super nice and helpful. We were seated next to window with no view but it’s understandable for party of two. We ordered garden salad, apart from blue cheese it was boring. Oysters Rockefeller seemed to be the house specialty but it was really bad. You should stick with raw oysters. Idk why americans try to deep fry every piece of nutrients. We deeply regretted that we have ordered calamari steaks after all these experiences. But it was okay. We shared a plate and it was enough for party of two. Unfortunately the side vegies were sauteed with coriander which we don’t like and it’s not mentioned on menu. It was an okay experience to dine in a historic restaurant. Service was great. But food was below avarage. I wouldn’t recommend.
Yer G — Google review
Great spot! Plan to wait if you show up past the 530pm opening. We came at 515pm but were seated in the first seating group (see line photo). Very good fresh fish daily specials. Would recommend the sea bass. The oyster Rockefeller were good but small. Let the wine flow and enjoy the ocean view from any seat in the restaurant except the bar area. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Cash or check only! No cards!

Red Moose Cookie Company is a charming little shop located in Cambria's Tin City, run by the delightful couple Caren & Roger. They offer a variety of gourmet cookies and other sweet treats like the chunky chocolate pretzel 'Naughty Rod'. The shop opens at 10 a.m., but it's not uncommon for them to sell out before lunchtime due to their popularity. Visitors can enjoy the 'Cookie Tour' which presents their 10 cookie flavors.
My experience here was amazing! Multiple choices of cookies to buy from, including pet friendly options (for example: for dogs!) The store is pet friendly, and if you have a pet they might just get a little sweet treat from the worker... who knows! I would definitely come back here.

This was by far the friendliest place that I walked into on the entire street. Fun people, and delicious baked goods. ( you know, the kind that don't taste like they're full of preservatives with cheap ingredients. These are really good!) And dog approved! Dog cookies were a hit as well.
Jessica C — Google review
I JUST came to this place about five minutes ago and might I say I’m obsessed enough to whip out my phone to write them a review right after. The owner’s father greeted us and was just the sweetest guy. He walked us through each of the flavors, recommending his personal favorites, as well as some which I would enjoy. They had samples of most of their flavors, making it easier to make a decision. Despite these samples however, it was so hard to choose between so many amazing cookies. We tried an orange-vanilla flavor that reminded me of a creamsicle, as well as a triple chocolate with coconut bits. At an amazing price point, I would highly recommend coming here to indulge in a much deserved sweet treat!

Went yesterday due to the good reviews, but something is amiss here. The oh joy were so dry they immediately crumbled into tiny pieces onto the ground when picking one up out of the cellophane bags they package them in. The lemon didn't fall apart but they were not 4.7 on Google scale. Did we come on a bad day? When were these cookies baked?
Laurie S — Google review
The sugar cookie was my favorite. Honestly all the flavors I tried were delicious. They definitely know how to cookie!!!
Rachel C — Google review
We've been buying these cookies whenever we're in Cambria for many years and we're never disappointed. The cookies are some of the best tasting we've ever had and they are big cookies. It's a pretty good value for the money. Our favorites are the Cinnful and the Nutless Wonder. But, they also have chocolate chip and peanut butter and several others to choose from. They're all good. And, we can attest that they freeze well and still taste good when thawed. The store changed ownership in the past year, but the quality and taste of the cookies is still the same. However, now they bake twice per day, so now they don't sell out so quickly. One thing you have to remember, though, is that they're closed on Tuesdays. So, plan accordingly. You can't go wrong at Red Moose. Their cookies are the best and they have plenty of different flavors, so you'll be able to find one that makes you happy. I highly recommend you try them out.

Harmony Cafe at the Pewter Plough is a charming eatery located in the artist community of Harmony, California. The cafe offers a creative Italian menu with some vegan options and is known for its tasty and light lunch and dinner choices. The ambiance is calm and peaceful, making it a delightful place to enjoy a meal. The chef, Giovanni Grillenzoni, is highly knowledgeable and creative, offering uncommon yet surprisingly good combinations of ingredients in dishes like the bistecca.
The ambiance is unmatched, the old style record player makes you feel so nostalgic and relaxed, the food is phenomenal! We got the king crab pasta and cod fish. The warm bread with olive oil was so good! We are locals and we are so happy we have a restaurant like this in town! It was a beautiful and surreal experience. The chef has a gift!

Tried this place for the first time after many trips to Cambria and enjoyed our dinner. Nice little patio area and our server was very attentive and friendly. Started with the soft shell crab appetizer which has very tasty. Wife had the artichoke ravioli and I had the bake cod with the lemon caper seasoning and both were tasty. Finished dinner with a piece of tiramisu that was delicious. We will definitely consider coming here again.

This quaint little place caught our eye, so we stopped in for lunch. We opted to sit inside, but they have a garden patio, as well. The food & service were wonderful. 4-27-24: Another wonderful visit, but we enjoyed patio dining this time, and delicious pizza and pasta.

Such a wonderful restaurant My fiancé and I visited for the first time and we loved everything about it! The food was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The chef prepared the most delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. We would come more often if we lived closer.

In 2015 Chef and owner, Giovanni Grillenzoni, moved HARMONY CAFE 6 miles up Highway 1, to its present location: Cambria California. The eatery offers dining in both on a charming patio and in a small indoor eatery. Chef "Geo" has created an Italian menu that he will not modify. No ingredients may be added or removed, for any reason. His dishes are quite good, but he makes no adjustments to his recipes. So, if you're on a diet, medical, weight reduction, or an ingredient you just don't like order carefully. Even though the restaurant was mostly empty service was very slow. STUFF: Free street parking. Wheelchair accessibility is difficult, especially in the small restrooms.

Amazing food and atmosphere! The chicken pesto pizza was super good, tasted nothing like the America style pizzas, but a true homemade, Italian taste. Affogato and cappuccino were delicious as well. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We loved the little garden seating area and overall atmosphere of this place.

Very tasty, light, and comfortable options for both lunch and dinner at Harmony Cafe. I gotta say, this team is amazing! We liked it so much during lunch that we came back for dinner on the same day. Servers here are very accommodating and polite. The ambience is calm and peaceful. The chef is very knowledgeable and creative. I highly recommend picking the bistecca for dinner which has an uncommon though surprisingly good combination of ingredients to go with it. Keep it up Harmony team. You all rock!

No need to wait an hour in line for other places when this exists. Very beautiful, whimsical little place. Staff all greet you warmly upon walking in and the food was great. This was our second option due to the SeaChest being so busy (and the vibes being off and unpleasant!) but I am so so glad it landed us here instead. We went here two nights in a row bc it was just so delicious. First night we got the salmon and I split the 12 oz steak. Everything perfectly cooked with delicious sauces and flavors. Wild rice is fragrant and mash potatoes are so creamy. Next night we got a steamed clam starter, sea bass special, pork chop, and penne pasta. All so so delicious, definitely best pork chop I’ve ever had!! Huge servings. High end place, worth the price for sure. Service was very attentive and friendly. Dog friendly, we got a nice outdoor seat.

We went here to celebrate our anniversary; so I will be brief, We Ordered a Chicken dinner and a Pork chop dinner. Chicken breast was small, rubbery skin (awful) maybe 2 tsps. of gravy (not good!) Pork Chop was boring not much flavor, had to ask twice for bread, Ordered pear/walnut salad and it was good. Mashed potatoes were good, broccoli was over cooked, waitress was nice but forgetful and not very attentive , Waitress told us that three other tables around us had complained about their food. she just apologized. We have been at this restaurant several times and we use to love the place but now Yuck at best ! Paid 100.00 including a tip for a bad meal. So disappointing.
Paul — Google review
Wait staff was extremely kind and responsive, can’t say a single negative thing about them! The food was a miss though. Lobster bisque had undisclosed mushrooms in it and tasted more like a tomato basil soup without any real lobster flavor in it. Other entrees were over seasoned and seemed to be trying really hard to be “unique” or “interesting” when a simple salmon or meat entree would have been more than enough. Wines were nice and the atmosphere was very comfy and intimate.

2025-07-18 Update Have eaten here three more times and always enjoy the food and service. Love the rack of lamb and the wild rice that comes with most of their dishes along the broccoli that is always cooked perfectly. Had a wonderful dinner at the Indigo Moon. We sat in their beautiful and spacious patio that had plenty of space heaters to keep us comfortable on a cold cloudy evening. I wife had the scallops and I had the duck breast and both were excellent! The menu had a good variety of offerings. We finished with a hot apple and cherry crumble topped with a scoop ice cream that was perfect on a cold evening. Our server and the rest of the staff were very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!.

Meh! We all ordered different dishes. Beef were ordered medium (pink interior) and all came very well done, all of them. The burger was ordered medium with cheese and bacon and it came well done and no cheese and no bacon. We were looking forward to try the Caesar salad with anchovies (as they should) but it came dry with no dressing, and 2 flaps of anchovies on top of it. Kind of disappointing. The risotto was dry and overcooked and under-salted. The server was very nice and polite but did not know anything about wines despite she initially said she could help us selecting the wine. The atmosphere was pleasant and got an extra star because they are one of the few restaurants closing after 8pm. Big plus.

first time here was perfect. sat outside for breakfast and the food arrived super fast. every thing on the plate not only looked great but tasted amazing! service was great for sitting outside. drinks were kept up on and we were checked up on frequently but not bothered. we decided to bring the family over the next morning and received the exact type of service by different server and 4 times as many people. again, food was out on the table so fast and cooked perfectly. my mom was visiting from the east coast and couldn't stop raving about her chorizo breakfast and how balanced all the flavors were. Steak was more like ranchera meat. It wasn’t a seared steak. Hash brown average. Denver omelet has large pieces of the veggies and ham. I had no issues with it personally. I liked the sour dough. Service was quick and good.

Absolutely loved my visit to Cambria Mimosas! The mimosas are amazing — super refreshing and beautifully served (definitely Instagram-worthy). Breakfast was delicious, from the perfectly cooked eggs and fluffy pancakes to the tasty sausage. The whole atmosphere is calm, quiet, and serene — the kind of place that makes you want to sit back, relax, and take in the small-town coastal charm. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the vibe was just right — chill, welcoming, and full of good energy. Whether you’re passing through or spending the weekend in Cambria, this is the perfect brunch spot to kick off your day.

We stopped here for lunch. It was very good. The service was excellent.

The good: the pickle is yummy and the fries are cooked perfectly (but don’t have any taste.) The water is wet. Wait time was average. Atmosphere is clean. The bad: the food tastes awful. Tri tip taste like hot dog. Fries taste like nothing. I would rather eat the literal cash it cost to order this ‘food.’ The ugly: the fact that everybody gives 4-5 stars for every place nowadays results in my eating at a place like this. There needs to be a critic score and then a public score in these reviews. If you can read this, do yourself a favor and try elsewhere.

Both my husband and I thought our Mills were mediocre at best. But really I wouldn’t even go that far. He had the tuna melt, and I had the seafood platter. I asked for no calamari, and instead of substituting one scallop one shrimp one fish stick. They gave me five fish sticks, two shrimps three scallops. And the only thing that tasted half decent was the shrimp. Their fries are nasty. And I doubt they’ve changed their fish frying oil in months.

I arrived maybe 20 minutes before closing, however I got great service. The food ,Sea food platter,on point.Well balance flavor and seasoning The batter ,crispy to a beautiful golden brown, with a hint of coconut. The calamari, shrimp and fish cook to perfection, the fries were just right, with the right amount of salt. I try a Michelada for the first time, and I have to say that it was good, Not my thing however was well made. In all the price was right, the meal excellent and they were not in a hurry to get us out .for a last minute order and customer they were on point.

Loved it! Super charming interior, and top notch food 👌 Had the Green Ball, heirloom tomato + burrata, and the eggplant parm with veggies + pasta... all were dynamite! The restaurant holds just 18 people, so make a reservation in advance. I highly recommend this jewel of a restaurant 🌟👍

This review will not be regarding the food since we did not eat there. My wife was greeted at the entrance by whoever was working and we were refused service because we had our child with us. Granted our child and myself were standing outside. On the restaurant door it is posted that no child under 10 will be seated. We were not asked how old our child is. I understand a business asking parents to leave, or take food to go if their child is bothering the experience of other patrons or disrespecting the business, but making an assumption based on age is a very bold thing by a business. Age does not determine a child’s behavior or character. The same goes for adults. Also, on the door is a Progress Pride flag which stands for inclusion so to refuse service based on age, regardless of the law, is discrimination. I would think someone with those values which we share would understand. While I am all for business owners having the right to do business with those they see fit, I cannot understand refusal of business based on someone’s age, instead of behavior or actions. We ended up at Sow’s Ear where we had an excellent dinner, great service and everyone was included. If you have a child, had a child, or ever were a child I highly recommend finding somewhere else.

Lots of great vegan options and the everything is very fresh. The owner is super woman with all she does, and still finds the time to make her own vegan mozzarella. A must visit restaurant if you're coming to Cambria!

I loved everything about this place! The food was perfect. Rhe atmosphere was so cute and cozy. The eggplant parmesean was crispy and so yummy. My partner got the polenta and it was so tasty and creamy. Multiple veggie/vegan options. And the service was pleasant and personable. Definitely coming by again!

MEZZO ITALIANO is a cozy, organic, Italian ristorante. Seating just 18, it offers a wonderful experience. Dining at Mezzo Italiano is like having a cooked-from-scratch dinner at Nonna's with no dishes to wash. (Nonna is Grandma in Italian.) Victoria, the owner and chef, visited our table. As she described the menu, we learned about her experience with conventional and vegan cooking. Mezzo translates from Italian as "half. I.e half Italian. Since it's opening in June 2018, Chef Victoria has used organic ingredients, whenever possible, in her vegan, gluten free, and animal derived dishes. The talented chef creates delicious, cooked-from-scratch meals, (just like Nonna's) and still has time for interesting conversations. (When was the last time you talked with your professional chef?) Let me use my meal as an example: Dinner begins with a crisp, properly chilled, lightly dressed, vegan, Caesar Salad, In place of croutons, the chef served mini toast slices. Ciabatta Garlic Bread, smothered with house-made vegan cheese, soon arrived. The soft, "slipper shaped" pastry, loaded with nooks and crannies, is just plain delicious. Next, Eggplant Parmesan is presented. The eggplant slices, coated with breading containing house-made, vegan, parmesan cheese, are baked, then gently placed atop cavatappi pasta, highlighted with par-cooked mixed veggies, and dressed, with the warm bite of puttanesca sauce. (Several sauce choices are available.) Absolutely delicious. Dessert: A scoop of vegan, vanilla "ice cream," and a scoop of vegan, lemon sorbet, are placed on a generous bed of fresh blueberries. A perfect palette pleaser that's large enough to share. The others at the table enjoyed dishes containing animal proteins. All found their meals terrific. During her visit to our table, the chef told us of a guest who claimed there's magical powers in Mezzo Italiano's elegant, cut glass window display. The guest was partially right. There's magic here, but it's Chef Victoria. STUFF: Reservations are accepted. The small patio is dog friendly. There are no children's menu or highchairs. Free street parking. The eatery is wheelchair accessible from the street. The ADA compatible bathroom is at the far end of the hallway on the left side of the eatery. A free parking lot, located behind the building, is not wheelchair accessible and requires several steps to enter the restaurant. Enter the driveway on the left side of the restaurant.

A fun little place with a cool owner, a good vibe, a good atmosphere, and delicious food and wine. Very accommodating, whether it’s with regular cheese, vegan cheese, or no cheese at all, as well as in other ways too. The owner has a great attitude and will make it work for an enjoyable time.

For starters, we both enjoyed a salad...I ordered the dinner salad and my husband ordered the spinach salad - both salads were fresh and the dressings were flavorful! I also had a Paloma Rose organic wine that was certainly enjoyable! My main course was the Cavitappi with Q-ball, a corkscrew pasta, with puttanesca sauce and a quinoa ball - the pasta was delicious, the sauce had a nice spice and quinoa ball was topped with their housemade vegan cheese and served with perfectly steamed cauliflower...it all went very well together! This was a generous portion of pasta...so I had plenty to take home! We also had a freshly baked homemade roll with our dinner. They also make a sourdough pizza there...I love, love sourdough so it would be great to add a sourdough bread or roll option to the menu. We were given wonderful service and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. I definitely suggest stopping by Mezzo if you are in Cambria!

We were the only customers at the time but the chef came to see how were doing which was nice and the waiter provided excellent service. The chicken parmesan was the best. The vegetables, ceasar salad w/ lemon and the garlic bread were great. The lasagna was good.

Guests can savor gourmet comfort food such as lobster pot pie, black Angus pot roast, chicken fried steak, and crusted catfish while enjoying the romantic fireside atmosphere.
Love this place. The food was excellent. My wife and I both had the special top sirloin with a lobster meat glaze, mashed potatoes, and veggies. It's a pretty simple dish with a fabulous flavor. The steaks were cooked perfectly. And don't the bread pots, the bread is hit everytime. Inside the restaurant is a little tight but cozy. Been going here for years, it didn't disappoint.

I came for the Rack of Lamb. No reservations in saying the best Lamb of my life. From gravy to Mint jelly (which was wonderful; I liked it better than Trader Vic’s) to the ultimate mud pie with French press coffee to the wine, worth every single penny. Let’s not forget the Flower pot bread bowl. Nutty and delicious! Impeccable service!! A little “cozy” euphemism for tight seating is the only reason for not giving 5 stars in the atmosphere category. If you like lamb, do it for yourself. Superb 😍😇 I CHOSE to order the extra delights, like the wine, coffee and dessert. No regrets whatsoever. Thank you so much for the lovely experience and fantastic food, Staff at Sow’s Ear 💕

I would say this place is perfect, for a romantic getaway, but we went with friends and it was just as much fun. A mix of a seafood and steakhouse type of place. I ended up with a pork chop, which I don’t get very often and it fulfilled my needs to say the least. We enjoyed a little bit of the entire menu since we were among friends, but I will definitely be back just be forewarn, is a little warm in there.

The food was INCREDIBLE, the flower pot bread was to die for. Wonderful service and atmosphere!! Our favorite spot so far in Cambria! We had the chowder, Shrimp Scampi Italian style, the fisherman’s stew, and the Filet Mignon (made perfectly to order) all were so wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Bread is soggy although it's in heart shape. We ordered Beef Stroganoff and it looks and taste like fast food. Definitely not worth the money. Lucky the Creme Brulee taste ok. Atmosphere is ok if you don't care about taste.

We had the most excellent dinner here.,Erwin our waiter was fantastic and let us order a meal that was not normally on the dinner our menu. It was a Grilled Chicken dish glazed with a peach sauce…so incredibly great and the vegetables and salad were also great. They serve bread in a clay pot. It’s fantastic. Erwin made sure we did not leave as we came in for that specific dish but he said no problem we could have it. He made us two very happy customers. Ask for Erwin. He’s the best!!!!

Mozzi's Saloon

Bar
Nestled in the heart of the East Village, Mozzi's Saloon is a charming dive bar steeped in history and character. Established in 1866, it proudly holds the title of Cambria's last remaining cowboy bar, a nod to its rich past that includes surviving a fire in 1899. Originally functioning as a hotel during Prohibition, this unique establishment has transformed into a beloved local hangout known for its lively atmosphere.
I don’t think they serve food. I had a great happy hour with some locals one day. The first time I showed up to open the bar with Ms. Aubrey. She is a stellar sister to play a game of pool with. We reminisced on years spent living in North Carolina but agreed that Cambria was a special place. The locals here like to play snooker. It’s a sleepy saloon in the afternoon but I think they have live music on weekend evenings. The decor is old west and has enough random stuff on the wall for hours of contemplation. The pool tables aren’t too beat up but I’d take my own stick. The juke box is digital and you can find a bunch of songs. I want to thank Ms Aubrey for turning me on to Zach Bryan who is such a great singer songwriter to share a road trip with. Ramble on folks!

Friendly old school saloon. Cash only bar. Nice vibe in there. A couple of pool tables and vintage Galaga cocktail arcade game. I enjoyed the artwork on the walls!

On my last day in delightful Cambria I found myself in want of some libations, a quick google search found me at the local watering hole which was Mozzi's saloon. The bartender was a very courteous young lady who I enjoyably chatted with during my two or so hours patronizing the bar. This establishment is cash only and pay as you go so be aware. But the prices are very fair (especially during happy hour) and I quite enjoyed myself. If your ever in town stop by for a pint.
Charlie C — Google review
No place for people to sit. It's 4th of July and tourists are flowing in the bar because its open while the the town is closing up at 5p.m. They need tables or seating in the back.

Mojos Village Bean is a charming coffee shop located in Cambria, offering a delightful selection of organic coffee and freshly baked pastries. The shop opens early to cater to morning cravings, serving up delicious breakfast sandwiches and lattes made with Central Coast Coffee Roasters beans. In addition to their coffee offerings, the shop also boasts a tempting array of ice cream flavors from Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab.
We walked in here because I wanted a hot chocolate and husband was thinking about coffee. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the kind young lady very happily. I asked her about the hot chocolate, telling her I had a bad hot chocolate at another location the night before. She stated that she really like the chocolate there so she recommends it. She also recommended a Mexican hot chocolate but I took her word and got the regular hot chocolate. My husband got the mocha coffee. We were both very happy with our drinks and would definitely stop there again. One thing we did love as soon as we walked in other than the kind young lady was that it smelled really good inside. We have a 1 year old and an infant at the time so we carry a big stroller for both and always make sure we can get into places with the stroller. This place is not the biggest but is spacious enough for us with our big stroller. :) Will definitely be here again.

Reviews of this area might be a bit misleading. It’s a charming beach town that heavily relies on tourists. We checked out a bunch of coffee shops, restaurants, and convenience stores, and while they were all okay, they were all touted as being amazing. This little place had two rocking chairs and a few board games. It was pretty cozy, but it wasn’t jaw-dropping as some reviews suggest.
Marlette M — Google review
Came in by chance and was very much pleasantly impressed! Ordered an iced chai latte and it was very delicious. A perfect combination of spice and sweet. Will definitely return to try other items!!! Also, service was excellent!!!

The owner is super nice, the drinks are amazing. We got a decaf mocha iced - super yum great flavor and a pumpkin spice chai - the pumpkin pie was present for the flavor def a huge hit and will be coming back for more.

The sign on the door said 7:30am open, it was 7:15am and she was open. Yay! We got dirty chai and mocha, both are coffee based. Perfect sweetness for me on both. The dirty chai was delicious and the mocha tasted more like Mexican chocolate. Mary was very nice, she was observant and saw me taking photos and said “Hold on? I got the perfect sign”. Indeed. They don’t charge extra for soy, oat or other types of milk. There’s pastries and small breakfast items. Ice cream and sweets.
My L — Google review
I had the best mocha ever in this place! Josh, the owner, is a coffee expert and literally made our afternoon. I was also able to get a great vegan and gluten free bagel. It had been a long time since I was able to get one. Josh's wife also makes some great vegan pastries. I highly recommend you stop by here if you are visiting Cambria!

Good coffee and bagels, but it is completely lifeless looking inside now after the owner switch. Beautiful inside mural was painted over with an ugly tan color. No more chess or checkers, I get the visual he is going for but this is beach town cambria not the Midwest.

It offers a delightful selection of local produce and sustainable meats, making it the perfect stop to stock up on high-quality food for your stay in the area. The market has been beautifully revamped to showcase an array of local, organic, and artisanal products.
This store is so nice! The produce is always fresh and they have a very nice dairy free section. Not only do they have lots of healthy food, they also have delicious desserts! I also recommend the deli, they make fresh sandwiches and they also make amazing treats (my favorites are the brownies and chocolate chip cookies) 😋

Had a vegan chicken Bahn Mi. Really appreciated the vegan protein option. Not much flavour or sauce, but the ingredients were fresh and healthy and the bread wasn't soggy which was great. It did cost $20 and was quite small which I thought it should be $13-15.
Violet B — Google review
Truly awful experience. Five out of the seven package items I purchased were expired and 3 of them were marked as 50% off with an original price as $8.05 and saw that I was charged full price. And again – they were expired! See video clip Realizing this, I went back into the store and exchanged one item and returned the other four. They gave me a new adjusted receipt (uploaded), assuring me that what was on that receipt is what would be reflected on my bank statement. They also gave me a laughable “sorry”, and added that they are good about keeping up with their fresh and perishable stock, but not so much on pantry items. Why would they even admit that to me? It just shows how lazy they are and that pantry items are not as important probably because they are less likely to go unnoticed if they were to reach expiration. Checked my bank statement and saw that they only refunded me for the tea and one of the Items are full price at $8.05 that was supposed to be 50% off (see screenshot). I basically gave them $16.10 as a donation. I give up on their incompetence. It’s not about the $16.10 either – it’s about the principles and business practices of this natural food market. I will never come back here again and will accept the loss. I can’t believe I’m even saying this, but I almost wish someone will shoplift a bunch of groceries and high-end items to make up for my loss. Bottom line – check the expiration dates and make sure you leave the store with a receipt.

A nice little natural food type market in a truly wonderful little artists town on the Central California coast! What's more to want! Good stock for a small town, but the prices are surely "small town" (high). This place sure made our stay in Cambria more enjoyable, and delicious!

As a Cambria resident, I shop almost exclusively at True Earth. From the moment Joe and Jolene took over and transformed the store, I felt like I won the lottery. Their commitment to nutrition, sustainability, and community is evident in every product they carry. They don’t just stock shelves — they thoughtfully curate each item with care and integrity. Over the years, my gratitude has only deepened. We are truly fortunate to have such passionate advocates for healthy, organic living right here in our small town. Thank you for all you do!

Latin American restaurant
Boni's Tacos is a Mexican take-out restaurant located in the industrial area of Cambria, near Pacific Premier Bank. Despite its unassuming location, it's highly recommended by locals and visitors alike. The tacos are considered some of the best in the area, with options like authentic pastor and carne asada at reasonable prices. It's perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal or a picnic during your visit to Cambria.
We love Boni’s so much that we hired them to cater our wedding! They were a hit with our guests, as many of them already know how delicious their food is and were exceptional to work with. Cesar was very kind and made the process so easy. He was very informative about my concerns when it came to guests with food allergies and ensured me that everyone would be able to enjoy without worrying. They offered a taco bar option which was perfect for the overall atmosphere we wanted at our wedding! My husband and I always make it a point to enjoy a burrito here whenever we’re in town too. Not only do I recommend them to cater your wedding, but I recommend just eating here if you’re looking for a great meal in Cambria! 💙
Sly C — Google review
The Al pastor tacos and burrito were as tasty as everyone has raves about. Really like that the had 3 sizes of burritos. The junior/small was perfect if you’re not that hungry. The line and the waiting for our food was a bit long- 25 minutes so that was probably the most negative part of our experience. Parking was challenging too. Service was friendly. I can see why this place is so popular but worth a visit.

Boni’s Tacos is a must stop food spot in Cambria! I will definitely be returning! Authentic Mexican food, made with quality ingredients and lots of pride. So tasty! We stopped by today after Hearst castle. The pastor and pollo tacos were so good. The tortillas are made fresh right there and everything is so flavourful. The guys were so accommodating even though they were just about to close. To boot, they even threw in flan for us. We will definitely be going back again. *7/24/23 update* So tasty and delicious. We love stopping by here after going to Hearrst castle. This is my third trip here and it won't be my last. I ordered the carne and pastor tacos. Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
Las Cambritas is a charming Mexican restaurant located in the picturesque town of Cambria. This family-owned eatery has become a local favorite, offering a cozy and relaxed atmosphere paired with delicious Mexican cuisine. The menu features traditional dishes such as tacos al pastor, carnitas, chile relleno, and pozole soup, all prepared with fresh ingredients to enhance their flavors.
We decided to come here for wine and a snack and had a great experience. Our server, Tandra was very friendly, and we had a nice conversation with her. The atmosphere was very laid-back and it was nice to be able to just relax and rest and get a generous pour of wine as well as lots of chips and a good serving of guacamole.

Our review is just from our short experience at the bar. We popped in for a quick sip while exploring the shops of Cambria. We were quickly greeted as soon as we walked in by a friendly host, but we asked to sit at the bar. Amber, the bartender was very friendly and accommodating. She made excellent Cadillac margs and the chips were yummy and hot the spot for a little crunch during our break. Thanks for a nice spot to rest our legs! Looking forward to returning for food in the near

Great Mexican food, great service! Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh! Everyone raved about their meals. Some favorites: quesobirria tacos, pollo con crema, deep fried avacados, mole enchiladas, chicken enchilada, and don't forget the salsa and margaritas! The only thing that topped the food was the service. Tandra was amazing! Thanks, Tanner! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be stopping in.

I had a great time at this Mexican restaurant with my wife. The food was decent, and the portions were generous. We ordered tacos, and enchiladas, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The best part was the service. We were greeted by a lovely lady who was very friendly and attentive. She made us feel like family and gave us some recommendations on what to try. The place is nice and cozy, with colorful decorations and a lively atmosphere. I would definitely come back here again and recommend it to anyone who loves Mexican food.

There are so many places to eat in Cambria that I was finding the choice a bit overwhelming, but a big guy who was quite obviously local persuaded me to eat here and I'm so glad he did. The service was so good, friendly and enthusiastic. The lively but not overpowering atmosphere was perfect, a happy mixture of people eating and some locals watching sport on the big tv at the bar. And the food...granted im not a big expert on Mexican food but everything seemed super-fresh, tasted absolutely fantastic and the portions were huge. Can't speak highly enough of the whole dining experience here, when i left i was grinning from ear to ear and you just can't top that feeling!

Place is quite pleasant. We came on a Sat at 6pm and our server took our food order at 7pm. Probably the longest I ever waited for a meal. About 90 min from sitting to actually getting our food. Tacos were pretty dry, make sure to drink plenty. This was a no bueno for us unfortunately.

Food is good in this place. Service was pretty quick. Food is priced well. I liked the veggie options like Tostadas and Enchiladas. They have nice drinks menu as well. My favorite is Modelo Especial. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I would definitely recommend for outdoor. Food I ordered was slightly on salty note so I gave them four stars

Restaurant
Lombardi's Pasta Familia is a charming Italian restaurant with a traditional ambiance and eclectic decor. The menu offers a variety of classic Italian dishes. While some patrons found the Chicken Parmesan to be good but not exceptional, others raved about the flavorful sausage sub, delicious pizza, and generous portions. The staff received high praise for their friendliness and excellent service, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Delicious food, great prices & excellent service! The Margherita pizza was sheer perfection! The Tobin & James Dream Weaver was crisp and chilled. The priceless item not on the menu was the warm and welcoming staff. Their smiles were as genuine as their service. Great food for the whole family!

Their food is so so. I won’t say it is authentic Italy food. There is nothing special and choices are limited. But there is not much to complain either. Price is slightly high. Service is fine.

My family and I went and ate here for lunch and the customer service was wonderful and the food was delicious! We ordered the lunch menu of spaghetti and meatballs, the garlic and butter spaghetti with shrimp and the kids pizza, came with a side of garlic bread. Will definitely be back to try more stuff on the menu!

I first found Lombardi’s almost 15 years ago and their jumbo stuffed shells lingered in my mind. I just returned finally and ordered them again and they were just as great as I remembered, if not better. Highly recommend this spot specifically for their baked pasta, cozy ambiance, and wonderful service

Service was great. That’s all. On the outset it looks super authentic and lures you in. Then you get the food and it’s disappointing. Not Italian. Felt like a tourist trap… at least there’s no wait lol I’m just glad we didn’t get sick. Add meat sauce to the lasagna and you might have a lasagna… homemade lasagna? Idk about that The garlic bread did not have any garlic on it They ran out of of “fresh” cheesecake got one frozen slice… But the service was great!!! Server took great care of us

This family goes above and beyond. Completely met and exceeded any expectation. Amazing food, top notch customer service, and now my favorite place in Cambria. Great job. Best pizza ever, perfect, thin crust, so cheesy, yummy; we devoured it.

Enjoyed the Eggplant Parmesan and Garlic Bread dinner.

Had an early lunch so the place was virtually empty. It has a homey feel to the place. The meatballs had such great flavor between the red sauce and the herbs. Portion sizes were generous and the staff was friendly.

Steak house
Cambria Pub and Steakhouse is a local favorite, offering a casual pub on the ground level and an upscale steakhouse upstairs. The food is highly praised, with options like the Cubano sandwich and homemade chips, fish and chips, wings with sweet heat BBQ sauce, Mexican Pizza, and generous sliders. The beer selection is decent with local brews on tap. Customers appreciate the friendly service from hardworking staff members like Rick who go above and beyond to make dining experiences enjoyable.
Food was wonderful! Beer even better! Service? AMAZING! Thanks Rick for being an awesome bartender and server! Get those sweet potato fries! They’re amazing! And for my ranch lovers like me! Delicious! All homemade and wonderful!
Randi K — Google review
Food was good, service was attentive and friendly. The sweet heat BBQ sauce on the wings and burger were delicious! The Mexican Pizza was also very much enjoyed.

Absolutely delicious! They are open for dine in even though Google says not....server is so appreciative. Had the Rosa's Burger with upgrade to sweet potato fries. Good beer selection. Liked the Big sur IPA. Dog friendly patio

It was a very busy weekend due to the incredible weather. Being this busy didn't affect quality of the food, we had the steak and lobster and cioppino, both fantastic.
Mark W — Google review
Good food. I had a Cubano, it wasn't necessarily a "real" Cuban sandwich but it was still darn good. Lunch prices weren't too bad, and they have a decent local beer selection on tap. The waiter/bartender was a hard working friendly guy too.
Mark Y — Google review
Great place, great food and one of the best masked hosts, Alex. Wife had the flatiron steak sandwich with sweet potatoe fries and I had the fish and chips. Had a local IPA too from SLO. Check out the place if you can.

I was initially a bit wary coming here since it was so late at night, I was hungry, and this was the only place that was open in the entire area. However, the meal I had was delicious, healthy, and hit the spot!!! Our server was wonderful and kind and the place was clean. I would definitely recommend this spot for hungry travelers! I would have given 5 stars, but it took a while for us to get seated and our table was not set up (missing glass, missing silverware, candle out). Other than that, this place was great!
Zalma — Google review
Below ordinary. We had a tuna melt and the "cardiac" burger. Service was mostly indifferent and pretty slow, even though they weren't busy. The server spent a lot of time chatting with people at the bar. Somehow the burger was both overcooked and cold. Bacon was slow cooked until hard and flavorless. Fries were good, as were the chips and onion rings. Cleanliness is suspect. The buckets of rocks they use to hold down the exterior awnings are filled with gross water. Hope it's cleaner inside.
