The 99W Drive-in Theatre is a classic drive-in movie experience that has been attracting larger car counts since 1994. This nostalgic spot offers double features shown on a digital projector, creating the perfect setting for fans of rom coms or anyone looking to relive the old-school charm of drive-in theaters. The snack bar serves up delicious food, including footlong hotdogs and popcorn, adding to the overall experience.
Last year on a trip to Florida with Trips Inc. (a travel company where I chaperone adults with special needs) I met a traveler named Jim.
Come to find out we live near each other and we both love watching movies.
We got to talking and somehow drive-in theaters came up and I mentioned how I had been meaning to go for years.
He knew the exact times they open among many other details, more than even you’d find on the website.
He and I met during winter, but they didn’t open until spring.
He consistently checked in with me about times and dates, sometimes multiple times a day.
He also wanted to get Abby’s pizza beforehand, according to him the best pizza in town.
So we did all of that, and I think we both had a lot of fun.
I accidentally scheduled this on Mother’s Day which was probably not the ideal celebration for my girlfriend but she was a good sport about it.
Beforehand he implied to me multiple times that I could take a photo of him at the drive-in.
So of course I was gonna take him up on that.

I love this place, one of the last drive-ins around, complete with snack bar. I usually go when they are playing an old movie I love, but they play new ones, too.
Recently I went to a huge horror market there with craft and VHS vendors, and then killed some time at the river, and came back for Dracula and Fright Night.
Some tips:
There are some thrift stores and such in Newberg if you want something to do before the movie starts. Just don’t buy a ticket (available at the entrance) until you’re ready to stay put at the drive-in, as there is no free readmission if you leave. Also, please don’t run your car continuously during the movie, block the view of others, or otherwise be inconsiderate. Please drive very carefully and slowly in there. It’s like a big parking lot with mounds to park on. You might want to bring a blanket, because even in summer, it can get chilly at night. The audio plays over the radio and also on speakers. It sounded really good. You can bring lawn chairs to sit behind your car if you want and whatever you like to be comfortable while you watch. If you have a very, very tall vehicle, you might not be able to get through the entrance (but you’d block people’s view anyway unless you park in the back row).
This is a special, fun place for serious movie lovers and everyone there works so hard to make it a nice time and keep this historical time capsule going. It’s so important to support it. And FUN!
As a movie-lover, this was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. You can tell how much passion they have for film and they insist on offering a high quality, classically nostalgic movie-going experience. Sound was great, as was the projection and the bonus pre-show, intermission, and closing commentary from the announcer. The concession stand had all your favorite movie offerings like nachos, popcorn, sodas and hotdogs. Can't wait to go back to see new and classic offerings, and we'll definitely make another trip out to Willamette just to come back here!
Wow what a great trip down memory lane. This is a true gem that I hope will remain for many years to come. Dog friendly too for those of us who enjoy bringing our whole family with us.

Best place to take in a movie. I especially love when they double feature a new blockbuster with a complementary classic.
It lets me feel like I'm both keeping up with the now and embracing the best of yesteryear.
Had a blast here watching the original Jaws and Jurassic Park. The staff are always friendly, the concessions reasonably priced and tge picture and sound quality are great for a drive-in. Its just a fun thing to do even if we have to drive an hour each way.
Have gone multiple times this year especially for horror thursdays and love it everytime. But for the love of god please know how to operate your car BEFORE you arrive, learn how to turn off your lights and if your radio doesn't stay on long bring a portable one with extra batteries, and jumper cables, you might have to jump the person next to you like i did. Only grievance was on 9/27 someone had their headlights on for 75% of the first movie (even after another patron told them how to turn them off 🙄).

Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery is located at the historic Springbrook Hazelnut Farm, offering a unique tasting experience with its dedication to brewing styles that incorporate wild yeasts and barrel-aging in wine and spirits barrels. The brewery prides itself on using pure Parrett Mountain water, house yeast cultures, local grains, and hops. Visitors can enjoy the outdoor beer garden while savoring the uniquely crafted beers made from local ingredients.
Decent beer selection. Super dog friendly. They have snacks but not food— so they’re cool with you bringing your own! Nice outdoor area and it gets pretty busy!

Great experience! We were a group of 8 visiting from out of state and tried all thirteen beers they offered on tap (and a few they had only in cans). Found something that suited everyone’s taste. The team was super friendly and engaging. Love the homey entrepreneurial spirit exhibited by the owner. If you are in the Newberg area, it is well worth the visit!
Visiting from Michigan, I'd heard about Wolves & People from a friend who visits every time he's in Oregon, and I was excited to check them out... and it definitely didn't disappoint. I've been to many breweries, and Wolves & People is one of the best (and most interesting) I've been to—not just in Oregon, but anywhere!
Everything on tap was unique and delicious, the setting is beautiful, and our bartender was incredibly fun to chat with. I love everything about this place. If I could give Wolves & People more than 5 stars, I would.

My actual score would be somewhere around 4.6-4.7, but in general, this is a place I would highly recommend everyone checkout.
Things I would love to see change to take this place up a notch?
1) Install a sound system for music instead of just a little Bluetooth speaker. It will distribute sound more evenly and add to the atmosphere you're creating.
2) Offer some sort of snack item with the beer. Meats and cheeses go perfectly with the beer and only add to the atmosphere being created here! Perhaps a charcuterie board? It doesn't have to be anything big. Keep it minimal and selective 👍👍
Came in for the first time to some soothing bluegrass by locals who loved what they were doing and really made for a great atmosphere. WC IPA was delish, and the Hazy IPA was also on point. Could use some wine, cider, or seltzers for gf who doesn't like beer. But otherwise, love this very cool, chill, relaxing spot.
Great dog friendly location with amazing views. The staff is knowledgeable and personable (I wish it hadn't been so busy because i would have loved chatting longer).The beer here is delicious and unique. A must stop for anyone passing through. I would come here again and again....if only I lived closer.
Great location and very relaxing for a beer or a whole evening. Truly a farmhouse brewery. They showcase local ingredients and they sit right in the middle of Oregon wine country. A must-stop for beer fans.
Unique beer in unique location. Located in an old farmhouse in Newberg, Wolves & People has perfected the enjoyment of physically distanced beer. The taplist always has plenty of interesting small batch creations made with ingredients sourced from the property. Kids and well behaved dogs are welcome. Bottles and cans are available to go as well as crowlers of their draft beers. Enjoy!

Chehalem Glenn Golf Course in Oregon's wine country boasts a magnificent 18-hole golfing experience. This course spans an impressive distance of over 7,000 yards from the back tees. Golfers are provided with various tee boxes, enabling them to customize the level of difficulty they desire. The rates offered for this exceptional course are reasonable, and it promises a challenging round of golf amidst picturesque hills.
Wide open and challenging. This golf course has something for everyone weekends can be tough to get groups on but there's always availability during weekdays. Take a day off of work and enjoy some great golf without the congestion of portlands golf courses.

Serene setting and well kept. Unrelenting hills and lots of forced carries made it slightly hard to enjoy as a high handicap player while walking. Next time I come here will probably rent a cart instead
The intent of this review is to hopefully shed some needed light on course conditions.
The positives - Great staff, mostly great layout, well kept grounds and mostly well run course. Watered, landscaped etc.
The negatives that are keeping me from coming back:
#1 - The greens have been consistently rolling slower than grandma's shag carpet. This is not an exaggeration. I play all over the valley and I cannot think of slower greens except maybe The Children's Course and honestly even that place might be faster.
#2 - Holes look like they've not been newly cut in months and range mats are brutal and could use an upgrade.
I get they might trying to penny pinch, but charge $3 more a round and topdress and roll your greens for crying out loud. It's not expensive.
I played 18 holes today and yesterday here at Chehalem Glenn! This course was awesome. It is really fun to play. While it is an easier course, it has many challenges too. I always get friendly service from the Marshalls and from the desk workers. I definitely recommend this golf course!!!
I've had my eye on this place for a year or two now, and finally got a round in here recently... Good layout, great value. Front 9 begins mostly back-to-back, then opened up a little out near some houses before you play the 9th back to the house. Back 9 starts over near the Putting Course and seemed a little more open than the front, although the entire course is plenty wide. Challenging, but not overly difficult. Between the driving range, putting & chipping areas and the Putting Course, there are plenty of fun, golf related activities here aside from playing a round. For a winter round it was a fairly dry track. Well maintained with fun greens; anything over 4' or so will have some slope in play on your read. Staff was helpful & friendly. I would definitely play here again.
Very nice staff. Reasonable price. As tough a course as you want it to be. A good walk as well. Greens are true, but slow. They keep them long probably because of all the play.
As always, golf here is full of trials and tribulations. Lots of forced carries with woods and creeks. Some of my friends refuse to play here but I rather like it. The course is in good shape. What's missing is a restaurant and bar. If you want more than a hot dog and a beer, find somewhere else for your 19th hole.
I live 50 minutes away. Since moving here in 2021, I have played here multiple times . The course is already in good shape. Excellent and challenging layout. To walk the course, you have to be a strong walker. I do wish the greens were faster. There is a huge difference between blue and white tees. Holes 10-12 especially.

Came here to take some Fall pictures with the family because the leaves are turning and this park is beautiful. The Sun was shining the weather was nice and because it's in a kind of valley / depression the wind was pretty still down where we were it was lovely and pleasant.

The green areas are great, and it's great for taking a walk or going to the disc golf. The only place that was a bit unpleasant was the playground, it's sad how bad it smells. We weren't able to stay in the playground, you can't enjoy it.
I put up a really bad review at the beginning of the season because I was really tired of this place looking so horribly.
If it hadn't been recently taken down I was coming back to update it.
I went yesterday and it was cleaned up better than I've ever seen.
I am so proud, everything is cleaned up and landscaped and awesome.
Now if we all try just a little, we can keep it clean!!

I'm getting married at the Chehalem Cultural Center in August. My fiancé and I were looking for a place to take pictures 📸 close by. I know that it's spring now, and everything won't be this lush, but I find this park a must-see for pictures if you like green hills and three quaint little bridges going over a little stream.
Beautiful and awesome park. It is a steep walk down into the central area, but worth it. The kids park area is great. The ground was hot when we were there but the slide and play structure was not, which was something we were worried about.
7yo rated it a 10 out of 3, whatever that means.
Love this little park. Clean, fun and a nice little hike/walk after the playground. Walk was a bit muddy, so prepare if it’s been overly rainy, but nothing some boots can’t handle next time
There were a few teens taking over the playground around dusk which was a little uncomfortable with my 4yo, however, they’re kids too and it was nearly dark so we went ahead and finished our playing for the day.
All around it’s a very nice park.

Chehalem Aquatic and Fitness Center, established in 1970, is a popular destination for lap swimming. The facility features an 8-lane pool with spacious lanes, clear water at the perfect temperature, and excellent lighting and sound. It offers something for every age group, making it ideal for family visits. Visitors can enjoy toddler time activities as well as yoga and strength classes. The center also boasts a competition pool and family changing rooms.
This is such a wonderful place for swimming lessons! The pool here is lovely. It's so well maintained and sparkling clean. It's really just immaculate and it's so pleasant to sit by the pool because there is enough ventilation in the room that there is no overwhelming smell, like most pools. Their swim lessons are wonderful! We've used at least a dozen different instructors over the years and only had one that we didn't like. All the others were good to great. They have attentive lifeguards and the pool is very orderly during lessons. I feel like it's a much safer environment than some pools I've seen, which can be overcrowded and chaotic. The locker rooms are also very clean and nice. I'm so glad we found this place! It's well worth the drive for quality swim lessons in a beautiful, safe and organized environment. I really can't recommend Chehalem highly enough!

Really nice pool and facilities. The people here are very nice, friendly, and helpful. My family and I really enjoyed our time here during a swim meet.
My 9 year old daughter takes swim lessons here and we are loving it! Her swim instructor, Kaylee is patient and kind. She pushes my daughter to get better while giving her grace.
Swimming laps here is so great! The competition pool is the perfect temp for workouts and everything is so clean. The front desk staff and lifeguards are so kind. Bring a lock if you want to stash anything in a locker.

There’s a lady who works there, her name is Becky. I had a very bad experience with her. We called her asking if the sauna works, and she responds with “come to the sauna and check yourself”. What type of bullshit is that? We pay for a family membership and the lady Becky can’t even do her job, check the sauna. 0/10 customer service.

McDonald's is a well-established fast-food chain recognized for its classic burgers and fries. Every time I have gone to this McDonald’s we always have the most pleasant customer service (through drive through). We live out of town so we don’t go that often but the customer service is consistently great.

They're mainly a self service only now, which is kinda lame in my opinion. But the staff is very nice and helpful.
The only other thing was the fries were half empty, I don't know why they're skimpy with them.
Assistant manager had very long fingernails touching and preparing and serving food through drive-thru.. I questioned this as it is a food safety hazard she became aggressive and told me that I was incorrect. This is in fact a safety hazard according to Oregon State Health Board as well as nationally.. avoid this place!
All the times I’ve been in this location, my food is cold, old and looks like toddler constructed to burgers. Minimum wages is too much is way too high for this kind of integrity!
I ordered 2 snack wraps with no lettuce, I got them with lettuce, I contacted support and nothing, so I PAID for 2 more with NO LETTUCE. I got LETTUCE. no help and no support. waste of so much money. they never get my orders right ethier way
Got home with my to go order. And these are the large fries that we pay almost $5 for. Very disgusting. Newark McDonald’s is one of the worst when it comes to their preparation of food. Quality control. This was not the first time this happened .
Honestly I work really close to here so I go to this location a lot.
They never put more than one pickle on the sandwiches and when you ask for a side of sauce with your order, they give you 3 nickel sized dabs of sauce and get mad if you try to ask for more. They’ll argue with you that they did give the sauce and that you have enough.
I’m tired of trying to ask them for anything.
Even if I order the sauce with my meal at the speaker, they still give me grief when I get to the window.

I frequently stop at McDonald's every where I go...free WiFi and water...this morning I stop at the Newberg OR location...5:oo am only a quarter in my pocket,cold from the rain last night...i as for a water the ladies working ask if I'd like a coffee I said I only have a quarter no money...the employee said it's on the house & refills are free...the other morning around 11:00 same mcMcDonald's a ladie seen me there with a drink and my backpack and she came over and gave me 4$ to get a bite to eat...i was watching a movie and I was dressed nice didn't look like I was on hard times...Best McDonald's & cleanest I've had the pleasure of visiting not to mention friendly employees & town full of good people hands down...4~29~18 Richard Friend

Cute little area to stop with the food trucks. Great food, served very hot. The area wasn't very busy and it seemed that they still took a long time to serve. My partner had already received and finished his meal by the time I got mine, even though I ordered first. Loved the food though, flavours on point.

Best Thai food in town. Incredibly yellow curry with exactly the right amount of spice. And every one of the appetizers is amazing. I wish they were open later! Currently, their dinner service is 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Don't miss it!!!
One of my favorite Thai foods. The price is so easy for you to turn around to grab on your way home. Great taste. The couple seem to work hard and care about the customers to make sure how I like my order.

Abby's Legendary Pizza is a popular, well-established chain that offers an extensive menu of thin-crust and deep-dish pizzas, as well as sandwiches. The prices may initially seem high, but once you taste their pizzas, you'll understand why. They are known for being generous with their high-quality toppings. The flavors are excellent, the dough is fantastic, and the service is fast and friendly. Their customer service also receives praise.
I love the taco pizza and pepperoni pizza. Fresh, delicious and extremely tasty. Been coming to this location since I was a kid. Best pizza I have found in multiple states since I left Oregon. Every time I visit this is one of my first stops.

Abby’s is one of our staples since moving to Newberg. It was one of the first places I’ve tried and was also recommended some items to try by some friends. The Hawaiian is great and so is the Mediterranean pizza. The Mediterranean was especially great during Lent when I could not eat meat on Fridays. A large pizza and some garlic knots are a perfect meal to have for two with some leftovers for the next day! Takeout and delivery have elicited the same quality pizza. Tasted great and I will def order more in the future.
This pizza was excellent! Abbey's Legendary Pizza is a chain but it has the feel of a local pizza joint. We tried them out because we don't have them in AZ and the pictures looked pretty wild. It definitely did not disappoint! We ordered our pizzas to go and it was going to be 30 minute wait so we decided to get a few beers and hang out. The beer selection is small but really good and we had a great time talking and waiting for the pizzas. We ordered the taco pizza and the Philly cheese steak pizza. They were both delicious but the Philly was definitely our favorite!
As for the service, when we arrived no one working really seemed jazzed to be there. We were glared at by the girl at the cash register and no one was communicating with each other very well in the kitchen. It kind of felt like maybe there had just been a fight. That's 100% speculation but it was pretty tense. Even the manager seemed annoyed when he had to pour our beers. I am guessing that no one else there was over 21 which is why we had to wait for the manager to be available. The service definitely was not great but the food was fabulous. If you are going to pick up pizzas and leave you should not have any issues.
I would absolutely recommend getting pizzas to go from here if you are in the area.
One of the best Abby's pizza locations around. Up to date with throwbacks to its history. The Pizza was Abby's quality and the atmosphere was what i remember from my childhood.
Abby’s Pizza in Newberg has been a family favorite of ours since the 80s! We love the cozy atmosphere, especially sitting around the warm fire. The kids always enjoy watching the pizzas being made fresh—it’s part of the fun and keeps them busy while we wait for the food to be done! The salad bar is great. Great food, great memories, convenient location, and a place we have enjoyed for decades.
We waited 90 minutes for one pizza and one sandwich and a salad. It was delivered and the bbq chicken pizza was soo salty I could not eat it. I sent a contact form on the Abby's website and got a voicemail that I can not hear other than they would email me and call me back which has not happened. I ended up throwing it away because I just could not get past the extreme salt. Would not recommend and will not try again
This was our first time having pizza at Abby’s, we tried Greek, the Garlic Chicken, and the Pepperoni in a large. Initially we were slightly taken back by the price of 3 pizzas. But once we received the final product, we understood why they have a higher price point, they are quite generous with their toppings in both quantity and quality. Overall, the flavors were on point, the dough was great, the service was fast, and their customer service was great.

And... The pizza was burned, it was hard, toppings were sparce on the hamburger and it was very spicy.
We were told they don't serve the potato slices because they are too busy. 🧐

We did the dinner tasting menu and had a great recommendation for a bottle of wine. Impressive wine selection, no doubt. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, though the flavors ranged from truly delicious to just okay. Service was friendly and attentive, with thoughtful touches like napkin refolding. That said, the pacing was quite slow, over three hours total, which made the overall experience feel longer than expected. A nearby large party added to the noise level, and while we understand that some evenings are more challenging than others, ours didn’t quite meet what we had anticipated from a restaurant of this caliber.
We did the seven course tasting menu which I recommend.
Value was very good...$300 including great wine pairings.

Wow, what an incredible experience! We had an anniversary celebration dinner and it was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed their four course tasting menu and there wasn’t a single dish that wasn’t incredible. There were so many thoughtful details and all of the service was top notch.
It was a beautiful setting from the moment you left the main road. Once you walk through the doors into the Jory you are greeted with kindness and thoughtfulness. Our meals were outstanding. Our service was perfect. The wait staff were right on time with everything. Not forgetting you are there but also, not coming to the table too often. We had a lovely walk afterwards around the beautiful property. The gardens were lovely and the sculptures were wonderful. I will definately be returning.

We enjoyed a delightful brunch on the restaurant’s sunny terrace. The cast iron pancake, topped with blueberries and goat cheese ricotta, was absolutely out of this world - fluffy, light, and bursting with flavor.
We had an amazing brunch at JORY restaurant and our server Kai was really great! The dishes were really good and the bacon was just superb! 10/10 would recommend. It's a pricey place but lives up to expectations.

The prices are reasonable and the burger actually taste like meat. I will say the inside is a little dated The AC was a bit high and the bathroom needed to be tidied up. However, I will be back in the future and lool forward to trying different menu items.
Iconic Newberg dining experience. Don't come here with your pretension and big city values. This place is for families, friends and community. Be prepared to wait for you food without complaint, and be patient with the staff which is almost exclusively local youths. Food is affordable and delicious.
I go here often, one of the last places that carries impossible/beyond meat and can substitute for any burger. The milkshakes and ice cream is incredible, a very popular local spot indeed. Always a 5/5, however it is small (to be expected given how old it is) so a dinner rush can leave you waiting for a little bit for your food, but don't worry, it's worth it.
If you're looking for an old fashioned diner with American eats, this is the spot.

The theater is very clean and neat. The feel is very historic and has a fancy old time feel to it. There are several exhibits of classic movies and an old-time projector or two on display.
The seating is moderately comfortable. The climate control can be challenging at times. I recommend bringing a jacket.
The lighting is very low. Be sure to watch your step as the guard rails seem to serve as more of a decoration.
We watched Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. The feeling of the theater added to the fun of watching the movies in my opinion.

A Newberg classic. Sure it's not super fancy, but it's full of history. Expect squeaky chairs, but you'll leave with great memories of those chairs. I try to take my kids whenever possible, and they absolutely love it. I just went to see the new Despicable Me 4 movie, and I could have driven further to Hillsboro or McMinnville, and end up paying more to see it on higher definition screen, maybe better sound, but the local charm and appeal of this little theater keeps us coming back. Friendly staff is nice too. Oh and upstairs you'll find an old projector on display, classic movie posters and some Newberg memorabilia. Fun!

She embarrassment to this company. Customer service should be polite. She also said she could act rude because this place is historic. I’m astounded by this behavior from and Tracey, who is an adult. Wow
The old woman who works here is needlessly rude and aggressive. Consider giving her a non-facing customer role. Her ill behavior does NOT make people want to return to this establishment.

Drove down to Newberg from Seattle just to eat at The Painted Lady—and the 4-hour trip was totally worth it. From the moment we walked in, our server made us feel super taken care of and explained each dish and wine pairing really well. We had about 9 or 10 courses, and everything tasted amazing. My favorite was the Ube Genoise—every bite was magical, and I honestly could’ve had three more. They were great about our dietary restrictions too—I had the vegetarian menu and loved how thoughtful and creative each dish was. The Miso custard and agnolotti with the sourdough bread were so good. They even brought out a chocolate cake for us to take home, to celebrate my spouse’s birthday, which was such a sweet touch. Definitely a great spot for a special occasion or just a really nice dinner.
My partner and I had dinner here to celebrate our wedding anniversary on July 12. There were 10 courses, not including the anniversary cake. Everything was delicious. I heard the miso custard has been a popular dish and yes, that WAS really good, but the canapes was just as good. I was amazed how crispy the mushroom was. I have a big appetite but by the time they brought the dessert, I was stuffed. I just took a bite and my partner finished the rest. It took us 2 hours to eat everything, but we probably should have slowed down. I didn't take a picture of it, but they had decaf. Towards the end, I saw a fly, which was the only negative feedback on the Painted Lady.
I was disappointed by this place as a whole.
To be fair to them, their service was amazing- no complaints about their waitstaff. We did not do a wine pairing because we had been tasting all day and the pours were very generous at other tables- but it would’ve been a great option if we weren’t already a bit wined out.
On the negative, the food. The portions were reasonable- we were full at the end- but the food itself was very, very underwhelming. In particular, the albacore loin was extremely fishy. We could smell it as it was coming to the table. You can’t serve something that is clearly that old/not fresh at this price tag. Was unable to eat it.
Everything else was just ok. I feel like they tried to over complicate things to make them appear more high end rather than actually focusing on ingredients and flavors.
Would unfortunately not recommend this place. Better food for 1/3 the price elsewhere.
My wife and I visited for our honeymoon and while the service was pleasant, the food was completely underwhelming in almost every way. It’s a tasting menu, so smaller, more curated dishes are to be expected–but every course was either very under seasoned, or just…boring.
The salmon was not fresh at all and I could smell the fishy-ness as they brought it out from the kitchen. It was a blah course overall.
The pasta and romesco sauce were devoid of any salt whatsoever, and the accompanying pork belly (2 bacon bits sized pieces mind you) were dry and hard.
The steak course was fine, but that’s a low bar as it’s not hard to cook a good quality steak.
The dessert course seemed like they didn’t know what exactly they wanted to do and threw a few things together which was a rubbery mess overall.
The atmosphere was also…something. But I’ll leave that up to personal preference and ultimately isn’t why we chose this option for our honeymoon.
The Painted Lady simply does not live up to the experience one would expect to have when spending $460 on dinner. This may seem as a harsh review, but we wish we would’ve known better before coming and made other plans.
We’ve visiting numerous other fine dining establishments (including tasting menu dinners) while spending less $$ and having 10x the experience in every way possible.
We went to celebrate an anniversary and it was one of the best dining experiences I've had and the best in Portland by far. We had the full 8 course tasting menu. Service was very friendly and attentive and the food was incredible. Tons of really complex dishes both in flavor and texture. I felt like I was slipping closer and closer to unconscious bliss with every bite. Food coma! The dining area is cozy and candle lit. Will definitely be back the next time we're in Portland!
Hands down the most amazing food experience I have ever taken part in. Went there for our 24th anniversary and it was simply magical. There was not 1 thing I didn't just drool all over. Those tastes I tasted defy explanation. And with the wine pairing, it just made the evening perfect. This is a true hidden gem.
Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants! Have been several times, each course is a work of art, the ambiance is simply charming, a must do if yo are in the area.

Hubby and I came for our anniversary lunch and it was absolutely delightful! The menu changes slightly by the day and almost entirely by the month. Service was excellent - we were never left waiting - our dishes were served with great timing.
Today was gnocchi for the main course and, oh my, does that gnocchi melt in your mouth! The flavors are delicious. The focaccia with the house branded olive oil and balsamic vinegar from Italy are to die for. All their pastas and sauces are made in house.
I also really loved how the menu clearly indicated ingredients for those with dietary restrictions. Even better, housemade gluten free gnocchi was also available! Highly highly recommend this restaurant for a nice meal out!
Just spent an amazing hour having the absolute best traditional Italian food I have eaten since leaving the East coast and having family meals...or those that I have cooked myself. Chef Dario has his restaurant Rosmarino Osteria Italiana firing on all cyclinders. The food, by far, exceeded expectations. In English, my wife had the mushroom rissotto while I ordered the special, short rib raviloi, AND the lasagna. The lasagna is made with chef Dario's nona's bolognese. I want to say more about the food quality and its traditional qualities but frankly, no words will suffice. If you think you enjoy Italian and want to try REAL traditional Italian, make a reservation for Monday or Thursday night. If, like me, you enjoy a top shelf Chianti, try their house private label. Grown, made and bottled in Italy for the chef, it is magnificificant. My wife also had the beet salad. This consisted of cubed beets on a bed of truffle cream and topped with crumbled pistacios and micro greens. I am not a beet guy but this was the best I have ever had. Take my word when I say...top shelf. Happy birthday sweetheart. I hope you enjoyed it.
Incredible dinner in Oregon wine country.... This is a must try if you're anywhere near here. Our server Brandon was great and the entire staff was friendly/welcoming.
Our meal started out withe the prosciutto and burrata salad which was so fresh. The table bread was also fantastic.
The main course was vecchia modena gnocchi which was smoked guanciale with butter and cream to go along the a diavola pizza which was exceptional as well. The pizza crust was so light and a little chewy in a good way. Perfectly spicy.
Dessert was the raspberry sorbet and the blueberry cheesecake which were both great ways to end the meal
Well today it's lunch, last time was dinner two years ago with my Mom for our birthdays. Server Brandon was awesome! Made thie experience unique. Well, back today with my mom in spirit as she couldn't make the trip. But, I'm back today for lunch.

Out of all of the restaurants I've tried in my decades of existence, it would be hard to single out any restaurant whose food was better than this. The pasta is truly handmade and fresh (not just claims made on a menu). Even the espresso martini was memorable. I had the Alla zozzona, and I wish I could describe how delicious it was.
Our only complaint? Our party of two couples were traveling and celebrating anniversaries, and shared this when we made reservations, and when we arrived. But we were seated in the very back of a converted (think plywood hotbox) area behind the restaurant on a 95 degree day. If the food had even been a little bit more disappointing, we would have gotten up and walked out.
NEXT LEVEL! Just forget your alternative dinner plans---if you want Italian, THIS is the place!

The tuna was gently seared and the veggies enhanced this amazing flavor to perfection — not too much…not too little amounts of rice/veggies to complement this dish! The service took a bit longer than expected, as we were there for just over 2 hours (an hour of waiting for our dinner after placing our orders — and it wasn’t really busy during 6pm on a Tuesday evening). But the vibes and smells coming from the open kitchen made up for it! (Side note, I did inform an employee twice to refill the restroom with toilet paper but he never did — I would say the housekeeping there needs to be a bit more attentive — overall clean restrooms though.) I would be interested in tasting other dishes from the menu if I was back in town in the future!

We stopped in for brunch and it was amazing! Better than I had expected and it will have us back. We had the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken, it’s mouthwatering. The gravy has wonderful flavor and the chicken was nice and crispy! We also enjoyed the croissant French toast with apple on top. Perfectly balanced and tasty. Enjoyed the Brunch punch and a Bloody Mary to top it off. Service was nice the friendly and the restaurant is very fun on the inside.
My wife and I came for brunch. She got the brioche french toast and I had the fried polenta with mushrooms and a fried egg on top. The food was absolutely outstanding. The coffee was also excellent.
Our server was polite and very helpful with the menu. She was also very prompt with coffee refills!
We will be back as often as our budget allows!
10/15/17: 4.0 out of 5 - The standard hasn't changed. The food is still good and the service is friendly and attentive. Brunch was good but great with friends.

02/19/17: 4.5 out of 5 - Ruddick/Wood was a first stop for food before my friends and I headed out for wine tasting.
Firstly, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Great with explaining what is what and making suggestions.
Secondly, the food was amazing! Every dish had a uniqueness about it. Portion size can be shared unless you are a power eater.
And, lastly, the restaurant itself had a rustic modern look. It's clean and spacious. To my surprise, there is a bar in the back side where you will come across going to the bathroom.

We tried this place. Servers were nice but inexperienced. Our food took a while, ot was presentable but had no taste. Well, the stuff that didn't have red pepper flakes on it had no taste. Almost everything had red pepper flakes on it and was spicy. Even the fries and my kids couldn't eat them

Delightful outdoor dining experience and wonderful menu selection. All of the foods had a refreshing complexity of flavor combinations due, in part, to the open flame grill and infused with wood smoke notes.
Definitely try the fries and don’t overlook dessert. The apple bread pudding with caramel was stunning!

While their drink selection seemed well though, it was a disappointment they used table salt on our margarita.
A “23% service & wellness fee” is added to every check. Sorry, if you can’t afford to pay your staff or your food isn’t good enough to draw a crowd, rethink your business plan. Disguising this as a “service and wellness” fee is a recipe for losing a repeat customer.
Great menu featuring locally sourced items. Staff was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. I had the pork chop. It was perfectly prepared. We will definitely be back here. They had a nice selection of local Pinot's.

This is the second time I have been to The Coffee Cottage, the first was simply to go thru the drive thru for coffee. This time we stopped in for a coffee and to soak in some rare sun on there huge outdoor patio area.
What a great home feel coffee shop. I didn’t realize how large of a seating area there was, not how extended the outdoor patio and seating area are also. The biggest surprise, how many food options they offer with great service to match. The menu is massive, and offers a ton of different options. From the drink menu with shakes, smoothies, coffees and specialty drinks…to the food menu having snack breakfast options like muffins and burritos.
We enjoyed our time today, sitting in the sun outdoors under the trees, and drinking a hot coffee with amazing flavor. They know how to make a coffee shop feel.

The coffee cottage is a very nice local coffee shop that everyone in the area should go and check out! Very good customer service and good coffee. People typically see a line when entering and get fairly discouraged thinking it's busy, but I can assure you the line moves fast and the employees work hard! I had the "ol st. Nick" peppermint white chocolate mocha, it was delicious! I also had the French turkey sandwich which was very good and came with complimentary chips and side of a pickle! Highly recommend for anyone in the area, it has a very home like feel to it!
The Coffee Cottage is your typical coffee shop in a college town. Very relaxed vibe inside with loads of caffeinated options to choose from. They also have a nice menu for breakfast and lunch options as well. The cottage is located in a former house on the corner. The employees are friendly and quick to take your order. This was my first visit and the food came out in a timely manner however I was told sometimes they can be slow. I ordered the grilled cottage roaster and it was delicious. I enjoyed the roast beef, spinach, and garlic aioli combo. The flavors really complimented one another nicely. The bread was also very tasty. Pricing seems average for the area and I would return.

Great in house roasted coffee, teas and smoothies to go along with some yummy pastries and gluten free treats. If you want something more substantial they have a nice sandwich/wrap selection. Several vegetarian selections as well. Freshly roasted bulk coffee beans are available as well.

Entering the cafe I expected to get a simple cappuccino, but looking at the large selection of flavored mochaccinos I ordered the "Grasshopper Mochaccino" and the "Viva a la Veggie" in a wrap. The food was excellent and served promptly on a. Little plate with chips and a pickle. During this time I admired the architecture and enjoyed a podcast next to a window which displayed the highway.
My drink was placed on the counter up front and my name was called. The waiting time was so low I hadn't anticipated the drink, I was still left to my thoughts.
This has to be one of the best mochaccinos I've ever had. Not too hot, great amount of foam, not far from what I expected but just the right amount of surprise.

It’s a hole in the wall restaurant. Very informal generally for to-go orders. You would not know unless you search for specific or places to eat in this small town. The new bypass highway also does not help as it would skip people from going thru the main drag. So much of that this is THE place for brisket. I could not find anywhere in Portland area that can match this quality. Oh boy! Chicken is okay. Pork end is salty. Brisket is to die for. They no longer carry sweet and sour sauce which I think better than the spicy one (which is not very spicy hot)
Storrs Smokehouse is my go to BBQ spot! I’m hooked on the chicken wings smoky, juicy, and packed with flavor every single time. My husband and I always share the Grand Daddy, and it never disappoints. The portions are generous, and cooked to perfection. We often getting 2 meals out of it. The quality keep us coming back. Highly recommended if you're craving authentic, delicious barbecue!
Their BBQ is some of the best I have had up North. High praise coming from a Southern gal. Service is amazing and quick. Biscuits and gravy served fresh! The brisket...my gosh! They also have the best pickles 😋 (I am super picky with brisket and pickles and they blew my mind) Their pricing is so affordable for the amount you get! Absolutely the best brisket ever. You can cut it with a fork. No frills, but great food, service and prices. Try the pork belly on the weekend if you want a new addiction. You can also take home some meat for later, but from my experience it will not be in your fridge for long. The crew is friendly and welcoming. The relaxed environment is perfect to unwind and the taste will make you forget about whatever concerns you walked in with. Suggestion - don't wait until close to closing to go as when the particular meat is gone, it is done for the day. Cheers

It's an outside place with limited seating- today was a perfect day for this. I didn't check it out, but there is also a patio with limited covered seating I was told.
We ordered the cheese bread, a Ceasar, the pork shoulder and pineapple, and the pizza of the month.
The app was fantastic. Basically a smaller pizza crust, cheesy, with a hint of sweet and truffle oil. So good.
The Ceasar was large- 12.00 too- and packed some heat. Almost to spicy for my wife. I loved it. If you have an aversion to spice, you might want to ask if they can reduce it.
The pork shoulder & pineapple pizza was in my top pizzas in this area. Really just a great pizza and balance of flavors. Not to sweet or savory- just good.
The pizza of the month was also really good- but here is my minor critique. It came with pears, cheese, herbs, Evo, honey, and njuda. The bites without njuda were a little to sweet- but when I got a bite with everything- omg! My point is it needed a little more sausage so you get more bites with it.
Great first impression- forgot to say their crust is in my top 5 in the area. I might rank higher upon my next visit. Light and crispy, not overly charred with a great wood fire flavor. So good!

Straight up this pizza is awesome. As a former New Yorker I have craved pizza just like this. The crust is perfect, crunchy yet light and passes the fold test. The staff here is friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. Cool for a date or for dinner with the family. We love sitting outside and having a slice and a cocktail. This spot is under new ownership and the quality of the food has gotten even better. I love this pizza and I dining here.

Awesome place for pizza, craft brew, cocktails, and patio dining. We had the Bianca and Fungus Pizza and they were delish. The honey truffle bread was a delectable starter. Also had a fresh cookie straight out of the oven. Chef and staff are great and general vibe was so upbeat.

This is such a legit great pizza spot - dare I say “Pizza Speakeasy”?! Don’t worry if you don’t walk directly here on your first attempt, it’s a little off the street inside the block.
Great pizza and great energy from the crew that works here. More of a speciality pizza shop; don’t expect to your kids to know what Evoo, mozz, or pecorno are, but the ingredients are fantastic quality, so they’ll love the flavors.

Great place for some yummy pizza! We got the pie of the week and the truffle cheesy bread and they were both amazing. They have some unique options like this one with pork belly, pineapple, avocado and radish as well as more standard options. They have a nice craft beer selection as well as cider and wine options. The entrance is down the alley but it's a really nice space with indoor and covered and heated outdoor seating.

It is definitely a must, also price-wise totally affordable, not like other places here in town, plus everthing tastes so fresh, just like from your own garden. Any time I’m passing Rays, I always stop to pick up produce for the week. The selection is fresh and the prices are better than the grocery stores. Rays does not disappoint!

We had high hopes for this place as it's been here a while. We bought cantaloupe that was like baby food inside, a watermelon that said it was seedless but was not and peaches that were hard and rotten on the inside. Everything seems like seconds and not quality . Won't be going back. Don't really know where these great reviews are coming from.
Place was dirty and unpleasant. Quality of the fruit was poor. Had to hunt for watermelon that was not in sun all day. Corn on cob was good however. Have always loved this stand in the past...sorry to see it going down hill.
Love this place, the produce is always excellent quality and really inexpensive. We've bought loads of stuff here over the years and the prices really can't be beat by any local store. Plus they have plant starts in the spring and a cool selection of Hispanic products

An amazing little gem! My wife and I were passing through coming back from the Canterbury Ren Faire in Silverton and the ren faire was low on ice cream, so we decided to make a detour on our way home. Absolutely terrific ice cream (we did the caramel and cream as well as the biscotti and cream, both single scoop on a waffle cone). The consistency, flavor, and creaminess had me hooked! And the waffle cones seemed homemade, I was certainly impressed!
The books from Chapters Books were available for browsing during the brief wait and after we received our cones, which was a huge plus - they have a great selection, with board and card games as well!
We live relatively nearby and regularly come to Newberg, and I have no idea how we've missed this place before! It'll fit just fine in our rotation of "must stop" spots when we're visiting or passing through. I highly recommend you do the same!

This is the best ice cream I’ve ever had. You MUST get a waffle cone. They are made to order, delicate, crunchy and spectacular, you won’t regret it. I’ve had the trick or treat ice cream twice and am so impressed by this hand made ice cream. We absolutely love this place.

A favorite spot for unique flavors and fresh ice cream in Newberg -- located in a great coffee shop (Chapters). You can shop for books, puzzles, games and cards while you're there too! Make sure to get your ice cream in a waffle cone. Very important. They're made fresh to order.
They made the waffle cones FRESH!! Right in front of us. Seriously great ice cream also. No idea if it was organic or fresh or from Wagyu cows or from cows milked by virgins. Do.Not.Care. The ice cream was so good and flavorful and the kid helping us was really great. The cold brew coffee caramel flavor was like a slap in the face - thats how great it was. If you have the time, def stop here. If you don’t have the time, change your schedule. Newberg seriously rocks lately.
I love love love ice cream. Anytime, anywhere, no matter the weather I will eat ice cream but some places don’t have what it takes to sell the best. cream northwest is the place to go for the best ice cream for miles! It could easily compete and surpass the big ice cream shops in portland. Their seasonal flavors are so unique and the regular flavors are great. We come here anytime we are in newberg which is often and we buy the pints. There’s consistency in the creamy flavors, no samples due to covid and the bookstore area and coffee shop next to them are peaceful and together they compliment a great atmosphere where you feel comfortable. My kids like the root beer and honey vanilla flavors, I love their coconut based dairy free flavors. It’s great that they have flavors that the entire family can enjoy.
The waffle cones are fresh, usually still warm, and there’s always great flavors of delicious ice cream.

For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Rogers Landing County Park. Not quite as popular as Chehalem Cultural Center, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Rogers Landing County Park is a picturesque park located along the Willamette River, offering easy boat access for activities such as boating, kayaking, and fishing. The park features picnic areas, walking trails, and clean facilities including portable restrooms. Visitors can enjoy watching boat races from the edge of the parking lot or launch their own boats to explore the river.
Not too busy on a Saturday evening in August. Place for swimming and launching kayak and canoe down by the East side of the parking. Ash island is pretty close. Takes less than an hour to get to the island with first time child paddlers. We ran out of sunlight so didn't go all the way around the island, just touched down on its closest end.

Great place if your looking to launch a boat on the Willamette River! Big parking lot, good slope on the ramp (and grooves are excellent for grip) dock could be slightly longer maybe. Seems quite busy come evening time in the summer! Good green space along river and an area to go down to water away from boat dock. So you can safely take a dip on a scorcher!
It's a pretty park. Beautiful river, and easy access to the bait ramp. We were able to sit at the edge of the parking lot today and watch the 75th annual Newberg Boat Races. The Porta potty was clean and the people that ran the races were really nice
Excellent place to launch a boat on the Willamette to camp down river, fish, wake board, etc. Surprisingly clean public restroom, too. Sheriff’s office who was present during our visit was quite nice and informative at the launching dock. Good job Yamhill County!
Ramp is nice, $3 fee for use. Ample parking, restrooms available. Very little area to hang out on the side of the water. I got stuck in the mud looking for a comfortable spot to sit at.
Lots of parking available for vehicles with boats. Minimal pedestrian access points but those there are, are good. Hot air bloons lift off there from time to time.
Nice place to put in a kayak or canoe. $3 boat launch fee. Has rest rooms and garbage cans. Plenty of parking.

Ewing Young Park, situated in Newberg, Oregon, is a family-friendly park featuring expansive green spaces, picnic spots, and a playground. The park offers a one-mile walking and running trail along the riverbank, providing an opportunity to immerse in nature. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various activities such as disc golf, RC car racing, BMX riding, and skateboarding. The park also includes well-maintained dog areas for both large and small breeds.
Probably the best park for many miles around. It has one of the best walking and running trails you can get, considering it's in the middle of a town. It's one mile, packed with gorgeous, raw nature and half of it runs along a river. Going on that walk over lunch is a fantastic reset to the day.
In addition, the park has disc golf, an RC Car track, a BMX track, a skate park, and a perfect dog park that is divided up for big dogs and small dogs. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but I can't think of a single superior park in Yamhill County in terms of variety and value to community.
I heard that the park is expanding soon to across the river via a foot bridge, which I'm very excited about. The park has been providing immense value to all Newberg citizens for years, and investing more into it is just sound judgement.

Ewing Young Whiskey is truly something special. Smooth, rich, and full of character — it’s the kind of whiskey you want to savor. You can tell there’s real craftsmanship behind every bottle. I honestly live down the road and go there when I want to get out. I normally drive Radio Controlled cars there is a little dirt race track with some jumps and sharp turns always have a blast as well as go ok walks in the trails which have alot of fun and challenging crawling spots and the main part is on the creek so its fun and relaxing. I Drive my RC Crawers both areas and can handle 1/28th-1/10th RC Cars easily and the race track youcan run lipo battery or nitro as I've been down there with both. Honestly its not the best but it's definitely alot of fun and it's a pretty big park as well. But unfortunately it's missing some things like an actual bathroom (there's port-o-potty's) but the little things to me are what makes it worth it and it's Free.

Park has a skate track, BMX track, disc golf area, a small playground for kids and a dog park. Parking is no problem, and there are restrooms.

My family and I love this park. I used to come to skatepark as a teen and even though I have not brought a board in years it still looks fun. The disc golf course is well maintained. The walking path is beautiful. The local school takes kindergarten through the path as a field trip and they love it too. The dog park can be hit and miss but we do bring our dog to the dog park on occasion.
The bark dust is not good, dogs play run around they make so much dust it's horrible, it needs to be changed to grass dogs would probably enjoy it more. And not a big mess as they drink their bark dust water
Awesome place for all ages and several areas to enjoy. Skateboarding/bike/scooter Bowles, dirt track and RC car track. Theres also a dog park near by.

Recipe is a charming restaurant located in a restored Victorian house, offering an artisanal menu that changes with the seasons and features locally sourced ingredients. The dining rooms are cozy and intimate, with ambient music creating a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy courtyard seating for a more al fresco experience. The menu offers a variety of delectable dishes, from soups to pasta and steak, all prepared with great attention to detail.
Once in a while you stumble over a restaurant that exceeds any expectation you may have from the reviews and absolutely blows your mind. “Recipe” is that kind of restaurant.
Atmosphere
Imagine an old Victorian house where each room is converted to exquisite but cozy and intimate dining rooms with ambient tunes playing from the speakers at a level that promotes and allows for conversation. There is also a cozy courtyard type seating. We had not made reservations so we were seated at the bar which was perfect for us.
Drinks
My wife ordered a lemon drop and I got a Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned. Nothing out of the ordinary when it came to the order, but our bartender, Jessica, blew our minds. The Lemon drop was perfect; not to acidic and not to sweet. My old fashioned came with an ice cube made of bitters…I’m going to steal that idea.
For the dinner Jessica recommended a 2018 Raptor Ridge Pinot Noir. Our interpretation of its expression: Dark fruits, coffee, toast, (hint of) licorice, bold. It was a great choice for our dinner and worth the 3x markup. (Price point: $87 - retails for ~$28).
Appetizers
My wife had a radicchio salad with eggs, casteveltrano olives, breadcrumbs and a light Caesar vinaigrette. It should be named “Ridiculous Radicchio” - it was SO good.
I went for the tartare which came with an aioli with a slight kick. I have never had tartars with home made, herbed potato chips but it gave a perfect crisp and complemented the tartare very well. Definitely among the all-time best tartare I have ever had.
Dinner
We chose the Bourridge (somewhat like a bouillabaisse, but in an aioli based cream sauce. It came with cod, colossal shrimp, mussels and garlic crostinis. It was sublime both in terms of presentation and flavors.
We also shared a Casio e Pepe which came in browned butter - if I was to describe it in one word, it would be “sinful”. SO darn good.
Dessert
My wife went for the Almond cake and I ordered the chocolate semifreddo.
The sponge of the almond cake was perfect and the sweetness was contrasted with the cherry coulis - again, absolutely exquisite!
The semifreddo came on a flourless chocolate cake and (I believe, with a coffee/chocolate crème). This was the only (small) disappointment of the whole evening. I had expectations of a half soft semifreddo, but the ball was frozen to hard ice cream. No biggie, but it was not a semifreddo.

We happened upon this wonderful place while driving back to Portland from Salem. It was 9 pm on a Saturday night, we were hungry, and spotted this lovely, cozy patio (under a big tree with cafe lights) that was actually open! The five of us were seated right away (we had masks and we all facing out, not straight across from each other), and the servers were excellent and friendly. We each ordered a different item from the menu, and everyone was very happy with their dinners. The radicchio salad I had was EXCELLENT and the Blue Plate special (pork cheeks) that my husband had was so tender he didn't even need to use the sharp knife provided.
So, the dinner was excellent. Then, as we left at 10:00 closing time . . I stupidly left my purse at the table. I didn't realize it until we got back to Portland an hour later. We called the restaurant, but everyone was long gone, and it wasn't opening again until Tuesday, 3 days later. I was frantic, as we had to drive back to Seattle the next day. We emailed the restaurant, without much hope. Sure enough, though, the next morning at about 8:00 am, owner Paul called! He had my purse in his safe and very kindly offered to mail it to me, or to meet us back at the restaurant that morning (even though it was closed). So we drove back to Seattle via Newberg, met Paul, and rescued the purse. I can't thank Paul enough for that kind gesture, as well as for the excellent dinner--we'll be back!
It has been a long time since we had dinner here, but they still have the same great service and food. After a day spent wine tasting, it was a nice way to end the day by sharing a salad and the slow braised Wild Boar (which was fantastic!). This is still one of the few “very nice” spots in the Willamette Valley to have a reasonably priced meal!

The wine list felt a little thin on choice but I totally understand this is probably a very common thing emerging from pandemic times - definitely not taking anything away from them on that.
A quaint, local, foodie restaurant located in an old house in Newberg, OR. Good wine selection and other specialty drink menu. We really enjoyed the mixed greens salad and rolls, priced appropriately. For entrees we ordered the scallops and salmon dishes which were good, but not something I would need to order again, lacked a bit in the flavor profile for me. This restaurant was highly recommended for us as a local favorite. I'm glad we tried it. Very nice servers and atmosphere.

Rex Hill is a renowned winery located in the Yamhill Valley, Oregon. As you drive down the steep Rex Hill outside of Newberg on Route 99W, you leave behind the hustle and bustle of Portland and its suburbs, entering a delightful semi-rural area.
Being limited to 5 stars feels like an injustice. We celebrated our anniversary here last weekend, and it was nothing short of an incredible experience. We booked the Somm’s Table, and it was clear that every dish had been meticulously crafted to create something truly special. Each course was vastly different from the last, yet each one paired perfectly with their wines.
To make the evening even more memorable, the chef personally came out a few times to serve us and share the inspiration behind the flavor profiles of each dish. Our server was an absolute joy — witty, attentive, and genuinely passionate, adding an extra layer of bliss to our experience.
We will most definitely be returning!

It was my husband's birthday, and we came here to experience the Somm's Table offering. The food and wine pairings were fantastic, and the service was excellent. We had a great time, Jeff and Chef Billy took excellent care of us and had an answer to all of our wine questions!
We loved the variety of seating, both inside and out, and the spectacular view. The wines we sampled were as good as any we sampled while in Oregon. And hands down, we had the most knowledgeable sommelier we encountered, and he explained things so well. He shared his experience and background, which explained how he knew so much about temperatures, soil, drought, etc., and how it affected the end result.
Rex Hill Winery was an absolutely wonderful wine tasting experience! The setting is gorgeous, and the wines were outstanding—we enjoyed a flight of five, each one unique and delicious. What truly made the experience unforgettable was Zoe. She is passionate, knowledgeable, and has such a gift for explaining the wines in a way that is engaging and approachable. Her warmth and expertise elevated the entire visit and made it so special. We left not only with a bottle of wine, but also with a deeper appreciation for them thanks to Zoe’s care. Highly recommend Rex Hill Winery, especially if you’re lucky enough to be guided by Zoe!

My husband and I were visiting Oregon for our Anniversary. We decided to visit Rex Hill winery. We did not have an appointment but were greeted and taken care of by Joan. They have outstanding wine and customer service. Their setting and landscaping is beautiful. I loved all the humming birds while sipping my wine. It was a relaxing experience. I would highly recommend visiting.
We will be canceling our 13 year contract today. What has been a fun experience had devolved into a caste system. This years summer celebration was sub-par. VIP sections in the newly renovated areas, (there are 3 tiers, only the top tier were invited inside and had access to things like tables AND chairs, AC, and running water, see photo) the bottom two tiers were in a 30 minute line for TASTELESS, unsalted food. Nothing like previous events. Lawn chairs and stemmed wine glasses are pretty much a joke, blankets are worse. But that wasn’t the real issue. I don’t know of any winery who would make your 61 year old husband carry his own case of wine from the event. See photo. I refuse to spend 13 years in a relationship being told for 12 years that we’re “building something together” for this…
With some friends in town from Central Oregon and the East Coast, four of us enjoyed a beautiful day of wine tasting, which included visiting Rex Hill. It was my first time at the tasting room, which included beautiful views and amazing wine. As a bonus, Garin took great care of us and answered all of our questions. I know I'll definitely be coming back again.
Having such a previous great experience, I came back with additional friends to visit the gorgeous tasting room and enjoy the wonderful wine. A shout out to the amazing service from Tina, Joan and Garin.

Love this place. Great camping, walking, bike riding, birding, and a playground for the kids near the campground. We come here often as we live nearby, but we love to camp here in our trailer too. They have educational displays in a few are about the history of the place and early pioneer life. The VC is nice with cute gift items for sale too. They also have several group picnic sites that must be reserved. Perfect for retirement parties or any other occasion.

Beautiful State Park and would highly recommend for RV camping. RV sites are spacious and level with full hookups. Beautiful park setting with trees and shrubs set up between sites for privacy. We will definitely return. Lots of paved walking trails.
We stayed a couple of nights in the "B" Loop (sites B5 and B30) in our 25 foot class C. Both sites are right on the edge of the large dog exercise field and lush meadow. The sites in B are large and private feeling and the park is so peaceful. We used the electric and water hookups (no sewer available at the campsite but might be available near the office?) Super easy online reservation (we chose our site based in the camp map) and check-in process. The "A" loop is more woodsy and the sites are a little closer together, but "A" seems more active and kid-friendly. Lots of walking and biking trails. Tons of birds and ground squirrels to watch.
We bought a day pass and were happy with the service at the visitor centre. The washroom was clean.
The park is lovely and lots of walking trails. We spent several hours reading and listening to the birds. On a hot day the temp is perfect in our hammocks in the shade. No river access is my only disappointment.
Fun spot for camping. Even though the park is open year round, they close a lot in the winter and only RV sites, yurts and cabins are available for winter camping. Summertime there’s more tent sites and some group tent sites as well. The group tent sites are closer to the river. There is a dock but many signs saying no swimming. The camp hosts are always super nice and helpful and fun to chat with. The rangers are great as well. 💜

Great place for a picnic. Right on the Williamette River. Walking trails, dog run area, lots of flat open spaces, camping sites, covered banquet or party area all at what used to be the historic old town of Champoeg Oregon.
This state park includes many actives: Frisbee golf course, fishing, hiking, boat dock and picnic areas. There are two camping sections within this park. One section is heavily wooded, and the other section in an open field. We found the section in the open field of the park to be our favorite with better views and most sites included sewer hookups. As you enter the park, a gift shop and museum are at the entrance. Our site was level. Only a few sites within the wooded area were able to a DirecTV satellite signal. Our Verizon phones got a weak 3G signal.
Our family is currently traveling this beautiful country via RV style, and have been RV'ing for many years. Therefore, we have an idea between high-standard qualities and poor quality. This is a small Mexican restaurant in Newberg. The decor is great and the service was really good. Food is good, what you would expect. The place is on the small side so if you have a larger sized group it may not be the ideal place.
Old school mexican restaurant. Stop by for great food, fair prices, quiet atmosphere and a step back on time. Been serving Newburg for over 30 years. Family owned and staffed. Best salsa we've had in the states. Will not regret a night out here.

Have been coming here since I was a small child and continue to as I grow my own family. The service is always super fast and food is always fresh. It’s our favorite indulgence meal—we share a large order of crab puffs, each get our own egg flower soup, and typically also share one of their large combo plates. Tonight we got the combo queen and it’s our new favorite. Definitely try dipping your crab puffs in your egg flower soup, it’s 10/10.
Newer owners of this place so went to try it because hadn't been there for awhile. Still nice huge portions! Crab puffs and pork lo mein is my go to there. The staff are WAY MORE FRIENDLY then the past staff was (at least the person answering the phone, placing orders and cashiering). She was so polite and nice, way way different then the last one or two ladies who did that job there. The BBQ was a little dry and over cooked, that's my only complaint of everything I've tried there now. Would definitely go back
We had an amazing meal here! The food was delicious and had generous portions. My fiancé ordered dinner combo #11 and mentioned that this is a time where every single item in his combo he absolutely loved. Not all restaurants can nail every single dish, but Lucky Fortune did. I ate the crab puffs which were perfectly crisp with a savory, creamy filling. The beef in the lo mein I ate was so tender that I could cut it with my chopsticks. Absolutely delicious. The egg rolls from my fiancé's combo was extra crispy and delicious, and the cabbage within was well seasoned. I mentioned how good it was to the woman working here and she said they make the crab puffs and egg rolls by hand daily. The commitment to quality, handmade food is something you can taste. We will definitely be back again.
This is definitely a "hidden gem." The food was delicious, the soups were full of flavor as were the main coarse meals. When we first arrived we weren't certain it was going to be worth trying out as there was no one in sight! I stepped into the lounge and asked the bartender if the restaurant part was open for dinner. She (the bartender/ waitress) came right over and took our orders. She was wonderful. The food came quickly and the amount of food was unbelievable! The lady that waited on us did an excellent job even covering the lounge and restaurant. There were a lot of to go orders but we were the only ones to eat in. Will definitely 💯 be back again!
Bartender working there is extremely rude and asked other patrons when their birthday was which isn't the Bartenders business either. Food wasn't that hot and they give huge portions of it as well ( in other words you can't order a half portion) and its extremely expensive to get as well. It cost $73.00 for food and drinks too. I’d give the kitchen five stars if I could. But the bar? That’s a hard no. The TV was locked on Fox News, and the conversation among staff and regulars quickly turned into an echo chamber of right-wing conspiracy theories peppered with anti-immigrant, racist rhetoric. The bartender claiming “20 million illegals crossed last year” and another obviously undereducated local insisting “they’re taking his Social Security”.
It was an uncomfortable and frankly alienating environment. Where you spend your money matters today more than ever. If you want the food, do yourself a favor and order takeout. Otherwise grab a drink and/or play lottery at literally anywhere else.

Another fabulous Newberg coffee shop. I found it a little out of the way compared to the downtown ones. The shop is small, maybe ancillary to the roasting and grinding operation. Lots of regulars came in on this Saturday morning. I had a pour over which is pretty good, and sat outside on the ample covered patio listening to the fountain. I love the pay it forward board. It’s a lovely spot and I’d happily return.

This is best coffee beans in Oregon in my opinion. I was frustrated with many roasters either not putting a roast date on the bag or selling old coffee beans until I found Caravan coffee when I drove by Newberg. The beans are usually freshly roasted from a few days ago, and shipping is fast! I basically tried all the selections using the first order discount and all of their coffee selection from dark roast to single origin have produced delicious espresso. I’ll definitely be a long term subscriber for their coffee.
Discovering and trying local coffee shop has always been our delight when traveling across the country and this one is a gem.

Because of Covid-19 this Washingtonian was in Newberg getting a haircut (great cut!). I saw this place and called and asked if they spoke Russian; they said facetiously "a little."
Well? Food is TREMENDOUS and the coffee drinks are as good as Starbucks and much cheaper - and no sales tax of course in Oregon.
The girl who worked the place was helpful and VERY business-like. I'll take it! Better than not knowing anything, like so many young people.
The vegetable sides are too small but given the quality and huge portions and scarcity of authentic Russian food...and cheerful welcoming frontage, they get a 5!
Used the drive through for a much needed coffee. The mocha was okay, nothing to write home about. The marionberry scone I ordered was the worst scone I’ve ever had and was nuked to shreds, without me asking to have it heated. I can only presume they’re kept frozen. I can’t speak for the food they have, I guess I’ll never find out because I won’t be back
The coffee actually really is quite good. And the menu is difficult to choose from because everything is delicious. I love this place, and make sure I stop through when I travel.
It took a little bit of time to get our order. But that’s only because it’s made to order as you are waiting for it. The coffee is great and I am having the fat Russian Piroshky. It’s delicious well worth the wait!
Every time I go to Newberg veterinary hospital I make sure I take time to get borscht here! They have sandwiches and coffee. It's awesome!

It's been a little while since I have gone. And there are some changes I was disappointed to see. I always get the same thing, but now the salad appears to have gone from a bigger Styrofoam to a very small container. I am still paying the same price but for way less.

I did a tasting with friends and we had a wonderful time. We arrived late afternoon on a Saturday and there was maybe one other table of people outside despite the beautiful July day. Great wine, great views, great atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We also loved the charcuterie board.

Googled “kid friendly wineries” and Adelsheim came up and we scored the jackpot! Our group had 3 kids under the age of 2. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. We had a great experience with our host Jacob, who educated us on the wines we tasted and answered all of our questions. We were able to let the kiddos crawl and run in the grassy area while enjoying the wine and the beautiful scenery. Our group couldn’t have had a better experience than our visit at Adelsheim! Can’t wait to come back again.

We had a great afternoon in April at Domaine Divio. Miriah guided us through the tasting of a rosé, four Pinot Noir, and a Chardonnay. She explained the differences to us and was so kind and fun. Surprisingly, in Pinot Noir country we loved the Rosé and bought a bottle to take back to our hotel in Dundee. The winery location is so beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommend!

I went for Pinot and paella night, staffs were so sweet and attentive and made me feel so welcome. Chef Christophe was so knowledgeable and very nice to share his secrets to the yummy paella he made. Owners sons Louie and Gabriel shared their life experiences with me including travel wine making, mechanical engineering ( Thank you for taking the time to talk to me).
Winery is so beautiful and everyone must visit at least once. Thanks so much to all the people I mentioned above to made my evening a magical.
Domaine Divio is a relative newcomer in this part of the valley amongst some well established older wineries, but don't pass it by. Decided to try a new winery on our latest trip out for our club pickups, and when we learned that Bruno is the vineyard manager for some of our favorite wineries we wanted to sample his winemaking. Wow, what a great place!
The Pinot Noirs were on par with some of the best in Yamhill-Carlton, and I was most impressed with the Chardonnay. They also produce a Pinot-Gamay blend which is really nice, similar to a Beaujolais only better.
One of our favorite places to visit! We are members here and drive down from Washington just for their wine. Bruno is a fantastic winemaker!
We got engaged here recently, and the experience was better than what I could’ve asked for. Jacob is the best, he helped with the process, he was discreet when we came in and helped guide us to the vineyard for the big question. Obviously she said yes.. now we come back to great memories, amazing wine, and even better hospitality. Thank you Jacob for being such a great host and Bruno for some of the best wine on the west coast!

We enjoy the wine but visiting in person is not recommended. The service and demeanor of the staff is unlike anything experienced at any winery in the region. The hostess/manager was very rude last year. We purchased a couple of wines quickly, even though they were rude, and took them home. We enjoyed the wine and returned this year thinking it was just a bad day for them last year, but again this year the hostess/manger made a point of jumping to attention when we came in and was very rude. We visit many high end and smaller vineyards and wineries and purchase wines for our cellar. I cannot recommend a visit here.

This winery includes a large shaded patio with a calming beautiful view. I enjoyed the wine tasting as the flights have an interesting range of tasty tones including a sparkling pinot! Would recommend!

Alexana winery is a must on your Willamette Valley trip! The space is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful porch overlooking unbelievable scenery. We were greeted with a glass of delicious cold rosé wine, and proceeded to our table where we had custom menus printed with our name and our wine tastings. We were first greeted by Tyler who gave us an overview of the winery and then Logan took over and curated our wine tasting. He was funny, knowledgeable and so great to spend a few hours with. The wine was delicious and We also got some food which was delicious and brought to us by the chef. All-and-all a 100% experience!

This was by far our favorite winery in the Willamette Valley. The service was excellent, the wines were amazing, and the grounds were lovely and peaceful. Also, bottle purchases help waive tasting fees, and you'll want to buy bottles. Definitely check them out!

We (2) came in, walk in w/no reservations on a busy & beautiful Saturday afternoon in the Willamette Valley. We were warmly greeted and offered seats at their wine bar. We tasted their Pinot Noirs, and a flight of Italian whites-wonderful. Generous tastes with truffle popcorn! Kerry, our wine server was busy, but so pleasant and gracious. We bought some bottles, walked through the gardens. Kerry was very flexible on the trying different flights. Would certainly return & highly recommend! We love the wines and tasting here. We've always had very knowledgeable and friendly staff. We discovered them at a restaurant at the coast (sadly gone due to covid) that served their gravel road, their "bottom end" which is excellent. It's the only wine club we've kept over the years. Some of their wines get pricey but we have found them to be worth it!

We felt spoiled with attention and were excited to take home some yummy bottles of a lush Pinot noir. My mother and I started our Wilamette Valley trip with the ROCO Winery. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the patio and in the yard. The weather was beautiful, the wine was wonderful, and our hostess was very knowledgable. She did a wonderful job of sharing ROCO's story wile also giving us pointers on the valley itself. A perfect was to start off our week!
4.5 Overall, exceeding expectations. The server and 2 of the wines made the experience special. We visited ROCO because it was recommended by a mature and knowledgeable server at another winery.
WINE: 4.5. We three had the 3 wine Oregon flight with a couple of substitutions. When the server heard that one of us liked Pinot Noir wine with minerality, she kindly offered us a taste of the Ancient Waters Pinot Noir; the certified wine expert among us declared it the best red she had tasted on our 10 day roadtrip through OR and eastern WA. We were also offered a taste of the 2014 RMS Brut 10-Year Delayed Disgorgement; we all loved it, and the wine expert preferred it to champagne.
SERVICE: 5.0. Tessa was flexible, listened carefully to our interests, and offered tastes that matched those interests. Her attitude and pro-activity in offering samples that matched our taste made ROCO a superior experience for us.
AMBIANCE: 4.0. Both inside and outside were very nice. We especially enjoyed sitting in shade on the Adirondack chairs on the lawn, enjoying the sweetness of doing nothing. ROCO doesn't have the hilltop views of some other wineries; the pleasant lawn and surrounding plantings more than made up for this.
Visited ROCO Winery after an unwelcoming interaction with another winery near by. Friendly and welcoming staff, that went out of their way to give us recommendations for sweet wines around the area. Beautiful property and building, great conversation and a tasty rose wine!

The snacks to pair with the wine were incredible and all homemade. Homemade Snickers?!? Yesssss! The tasting room features photos and memorabilia of the proprietor’s famous aunt who was an actress. If you’re in the region, put this winery on your must-do list!!
I have visited Natalie's Estate Winery for many years and keep returning because the selection and quality of wines are excellent! They are great winemakers and knowledgeable about not only the grapes and wines in their region, but across the globe. The Big Reds Barrel & Wine Tasting was so enjoyable and Boyd was fantastic (engaging, friendly and knowledgeable)! I learned more about wine in the hour-or-so I was there than I ever have. The wines are more to my taste (bold, flavorful and striking) and stood out amongst any of the thin, pedestrian, unremarkable and terribly similar wines from any of the other 11 vineyards I visited during the course of my trip (head and shoulders above even some of the big, elite vineyards).
My wife and I went to the winery a few weeks ago with my daughter and her husband and my ex-wife, as part of a larger tour of 4 wineries. The property was pretty. We were taken to the Montana tasting room which was quaint and gorgeous. We had a tasting of 4 wines with a pairing of food for each. The owners were incredibly down-to-earth, friendly and knowledgeable and the wine was AMAZING, especially the Pinot Rose! Boyd made some delicious smoked briquette and Cassandra made a wonderful Cabernet Chocolate Truffle ball.
As a bonus, we got to hear the story of their Hollywood room which was quite interesting and very unexpected. Would highly recommend visiting and we will definitely be going back soon. A hidden gem of Oregon wine!
NATALIE’s is one of our favorite wineries in the Willamette Valley. They have an amazing selections of wines. Yes they have Pinot but they also have Cabernet, Merlot, Zinfandel, Italian varieties, whites and so much more. They always pair their tasting with a wonderful selection of nibbles to pair with their wines. The tasting room is warm and inviting. A don’t miss stop when visiting the Willamette Valley.

What a great find in Newberg, Oregon!
Since moving here last year, we've been on the hunt for a good PHO spot, but the top rated spots seemed so far away. (in SE Portland, over an hour away).
My daughter recommended we try “JUST PHO YOU”, and I'm so glad we did!
She loves the Chicken Pho here, so we were excited to check it out.
Located between the Nails and Hair shop in the mall near Safeway, we had no idea what to expect when we walked in.
There were quite a few people enjoying dinner when we arrived, but the hostess quickly seated us at TABLE 11 and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere at Just Pho You is relaxed —warm, and inviting.
The menu offers a great mix of Vietnamese favorites like PHO and other favorites like Pad Thai, and Chow Mein, along with a nice selection of Boba Teas and traditional drinks.
We decided on Fried Spring Rolls (pork) and Jasmine Tea to start. The spring rolls were excellent—crispy, not greasy, and bursting with flavor.
The sweet chili dipping sauce wasn’t too sweet and complimented the rolls nicely.
For the main course, I ordered the PHO NAM (beef brisket) and my wife went for the Pad Thai. The PHO was incredible! The Hoisin and Sriracha sauces on the table allowed us to customize the flavor and spice level exactly how we wanted it.
My wife raved about the Pad Thai—it's one of the best she's had.
Our server was so friendly and attentive, making us feel like we were regulars right away. (They suggested maybe we would be back tomorrow) We were also excited to take some leftovers home, which is always a sign of a great meal.
The only downside? We wish we'd found this spot sooner! It's literally less than a mile from our house, and we both agreed this will probably become our new regular go-to place.
It's such a hidden gem, and it's amazing that more people around here aren't talking about it.
If you love PHO (or even if you're new to it), you absolutely need to give “JUST PHO YOU” a try.
They have something for everyone, including kids favorites and entrées for the most discerning tastes. We are already planning our next visit.

Pho is decent. They give you a couple of options for the broth. Chicken, veggie, or beef.
I had the chicken broth.
Chichen wings were delicious. Fried with a fish sauce.
Egg rolls were decent.
Absolutely loved this Vietnamese spot! The fried stickers were crispy and juicy, the beef pho had a beautifully clear and flavorful broth, and the grilled beef vermicelli bowl was packed with fresh herbs and delicious textures. I also had the traditional Vietnamese drip coffee — rich, bold, and perfectly sweet over ice. Clean and cozy environment. One of the best Vietnamese meals I’ve had. Definitely coming back!
Just Pho You offers some of the best gluten-free options in Newberg. The pho is delicious, and the gluten-free spring rolls are amazing. The portions are generous.
The staff is warm and inviting. The music is at just the right level.
I didn't see public restrooms for use, so you may need to ask.
The doors are manually operated, so wheelchair users may need assistance.
There is a fair amount of parking. Handicap parking is limited to one or two spaces.
I ordered a small P10 - beef, basket and tripe pho and hot vietnamese coffee. The food was served very quickly and delicious. I enjoyed it very much. The service was great and the dining space was good - soft jazz music playing in the air while I enjoyed the delicious food. It was a great day!!
Tried this restaurant twice, first time was great, food tastes good, quality was fresh and nice.
I have severe allergies and the cashier made sure our order didn't have anything we would react to.
However this time, someone did not check the pho packs and mushy jalapeños made all the vegetables go bad. Freshness is super important.
Soup is good and appetizers are good, but not sure if it makes up for lack of freshness.
Open until 8pm is good. Good taste. Best Pho in Newberg.
i started coming here about 3 years ago and every time it's delicious and is always a wonderful experience. my favorite is the P-17 (spicy pho) the broth is the perfect amount of spice and the meats are also so delicious.

Our order was delivered missing frys and a Root Beer.
The staff seemed quite nieve and under trained.
The cheese burger tasted like paper. I do not recommend it.
The soft serve is missing all vanilla flavor, and was just cold and dependent on the added sauce for flavor. I would not recommend it.

So i second guessed myself when I thought of coming to DQ. Due to the fact of knowing how horrible the chicken strips had shrunk and I decided to give one more chance. Well I was absolutely correct opening our food up when I got home. How baffling it is to see 8 chicken strips only taking up half the box I got including fries which took up the other half. I remember before covid which ruined everything and when fast food went completely downhill. The strips were perfect size and 8 of them would have taken up the entire box with no room for fries. Im utterly shocked at 21 dollars for 8 tiny pieces of chicken strips at a place that isn't even luxury food items and 1 small 6.00 blizzard. I literally waisted our hardworking money on a few bites of food. I will not be back as I havent since before 2019 more than 1 time due to the shrinkflation. Thank you biden. WHY SHRINK FOOD AND RAISE PRICES WHEN SHRINKING FOOD SHOULD LOWER PRICES!
I'm showing you guys pictures and just to tell you my hands are short and fat so the strip is so tiny. Also that plate is extremely small, it's one of our tea plates.
Went thru drive through ordered $50+ of food for two wrong orders and the audacity to not remake my food and remove the unwanted items after I clearly stated I have allergies. Unknown if they actually changed their gloves or not. The nice ladies at the counter had no Idea that their crew is not following the procedure and should not be blamed only better trained.
I had a very frustrating experience at the Newberg DQ. My party and I were asked to "wrap this thing up and leave" at 9:40. The worker insisted they closed at 9:30 even though online and on the sign outside the time listed 10pm. She was very rude and made us feel terrible for staying past their hours despite having been there till 10pm on other occasions. We were polite and had already tipped generously but definitely left a bad taste in the mouth being treated with the disrespect and annoyance with which we were treated.
Great food at reasonable prices. The $7 meal deal comes with 1 regular cheeseburger, fries, drink, and sundae! Pics show meal for 2 at $14. Can't beat that!

This has to be the WORST Dairy Queen. It’s always understaffed. The lobby closes because they are so understaffed. I’ve tried to save time by ordering ahead online and it doesn’t work. I had to wait over 30 minutes past the “online order ready time “ for a dilly bar and dipped cone last time. This time the lobby was closed and I had to wait 20 minutes in the drive thru line because I had no other way to get my order. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, well you can’t fool me twice or whatever

Who can hate a DQ Blizzard! Thankful DQ is in Newberg. People who complain about long lines, bad service, etc should stay home and cook their own meals. This Dairy Queen is always working. They are busy, who doesn't love ice cream. The line is long, Yeah... everyone wants to go there, that's a positive. It's called fast food for a reason, don't complain. The employee's are always working and trying their best, I never see a group of them taking long smoke breaks when they are busy.

Ichi Sushi & Steak House in Newberg is a popular spot known for its good food and top-notch sushi. The quality of the fish is higher than other places, and the portions are generous. The sushi is well-presented, with excellent choices of sake including a 3-sake flight option. Some recommended rolls include the Godzilla, pink lady, and amigo (mildly spicy). However, some customers didn't enjoy the pickled vegetable rolls or mango rolls as much.
Ichi Sushi is great and our go to spot in Newberg. And it looks like they just had their parking lot resurfaced. The sushi is top notch quality, excellent presentation. Great sake choices with a 3 sake flight option. Some of favorite rolls are the Godzilla, pink lady, and amigo (mildly spicy). Most of us didn’t like the pickled vegetable rolls, or mango rolls (Romeo and Juliet/mango tango), maybe because they were cold, or the sauce. I don’t know. Probably just preference since it still looks beautifully presented.

The food was good. I had a couple rolls and my husband had the teriyaki chicken. The sake was served cold, I would have liked it warm but it was still good. The roofs were well made, nothing special but tasted fresh. My husband loved his teriyaki. It was served sizzling on a fajita platter which was pretty cool. Quality tender meat. The service was lacking. Our initial waitress was meek and a bit slow. The appetizer was served with the rolls and the teriyaki took another 10 minutes to come. After the second waitress brought the rest of the order we never saw her again....she went to fold napkins and didn't refill tea or ask if we needed anything. They need a good strong experienced lead server to train everyone. The product is great, just need a tighter serving staff. We will be back!

I love, love, love Ichi Sushi and had been checking all of the time for their reopening. I live a few blocks away and there is a large "For Lease" sign in front of the building now. It appears they are not reopening. I am super bummed.
Lovely cuts in an even lovelier presentation. I would travel that way again just to try more of what is offered on their menu.
I've been there twice now and both times the sushi was phenomenal. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is very simplistic and peaceful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I experienced is that when I took my first piece of Oregon sushi it was still hot (it's deep fried before being served) and I ended up slightly burning my tongue. I'm sure that if I had exercised caution and waited a minute or so before trying that one I would have been fine because it was still delicious. Personally I don't have anything negative to say about this place.
I've been coming to Ichi for well over a year now, and they are my favorite sushi place in town! The owners are so sweet and they are great with customer service. I always get the crunchy roll, crab salad, and California rolls. It's sooo delicious! I can't go a week without it. If you need a new sushi place and want to support a great business, try this place out. :-)
Hands down the best sushi in Newberg. The quality of their fish is much higher than other places and your portions are a bit larger too. They have the best combinations and best tasting sushi I've ever had. I've been craving them since they've been temporarily close. I hope that all is well and that they can open up soon. Such an amazing business. 👏🏼❤
