Book store
Bart's Books, located in Ojai, is a unique open-air bookstore that reflects the town's laid-back vibe. Established in 1964 by Richard Bartinsdale, it started with bookcases along the sidewalk and an honor system for book purchases. With over 13,000 books covering various genres like history, architecture, and food, it's a must-visit spot in Ojai.
Amazing bookstore with a super large selection. It’s almost all outdoor under coverings, and makes for beautiful photo opportunities. I will admit the large selection made it a little difficult to shop intentionally, but if you spent more time here than I did I’m sure you’d be able to find some gold. I would definitely suggest stopping by this unique place if you’re in the area :)
Mackfrack — Google review
Bart’s Books is one of our favorite places to visit. There’s something special about browsing books in the open air, surrounded by the charm of the space. The books are a bit on the pricey side, but the experience is always worth it. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and we enjoy the sense of community here. It’s such a nice way to spend time together.
Richard N — Google review
What a cool concept. Still can't believe it doesn't rain enough to ruin the books. The selection is pretty large but it's easy to find what you're looking for. Very pretty book store, too.
Steph C — Google review
Great place to find your next read! Tons of great books to check out. The selection appears well-curated. Also neat that you can walk by in the evening and there are books outside to be browsed and bought.
Clark C — Google review
Great used bookstore with a picturesque view from the front. They have a great variety of books ranging from nonfiction, to architectural and art books for your coffee table. Highly recommend for the bookworms out there. I didnt find anything for me but I'm sure someone will find something interesting, even if its just a picture.
Mel D — Google review
This place is awesome! They have a wide range of books, super helpful stuff and many options to sit down and read a little. They have old and new books for more than fair prizes and also some first editions (some are even signed). I got a first edition of Anderson's Fairy Tales
Anna-Lia B — Google review
I love this bookstore! My favorite part of Ojai. They have shelves with books on all walls of the house. Great oldies and collectibles plus modern books. Check them out!

Beautiful outdoor bookstore, and not full of ahem certain agenda -driven books There were books of all genres and I especially enjoyed the books from the 80s No Public restrooms

Whether you're looking for a quick dinner or a perfect light lunch, their salad bar is sure to satisfy your hunger. Additionally, they serve delicious breakfasts; just make sure to arrive before 9:30 am to ensure availability.
I wanted to acknowledge Kim who made my day by helping me find locally made pixie tangerine marmalade. She remembered locally made citrus marmalade had been delivered in the morning and she went out of her way to get it for me in the warehouse. To our surprise it was indeed pixie tangerine marmalade. Outstanding customer care. Thank you!

I had a five star experience here! Very helpful staff, everything was clean, fresh produce and great prices! They also have quality products! THE WAY WHOLE FOODS USED TO BE BUT EVEN BETTER!I love a place that caters to my needs and then some!

I recently moved from Miami to CA, it was a great surprise to find Cuban pastelitos at the bakery, I bought the guava and cheese and Argentinian empanadas I have to admit these are the best I had so far!

The WholeFoods of Ojai. Fantastic breakfast bar and the rotisserie chicken is excellent. They also have one of the best wine selections in town. I get a chicken burrito every Friday night! yummy
Joyce S — Google review
From five stars to three I've been here since 06 and it's just not the same. I used to go there for breakfast but the salad bar just isn't the same. It's got three or four mystery salads now with mystery goop mixed in with it. The individual offerings are cut down by at least 50%, so it's difficult to make a salad I consider nutritious for me. Otherwise I pretty much like the store. The people are nice and occasionally ask if they can help me and I've even been asked what I think of their operation by a couple people and I've been politely honest.

Big range of fresh, packaged, and ready-to-eat food. Small supermarket, but it packs a lot in. Friendly staff.

Delightful! I had never been in, just needed a few quick things in Produce.. {which was a spectacular deptment!} I ended up taking in every clean, well stocked isle and 20mins later left w/18 items! 🥰 Go. Take your largest reusable bag! Thank you Westridge Midtown~*

Libbey Park in Ojai, CA is a charming spot for families and music lovers alike. The park features a playground for kids and hosts the annual Ojai Music Festival at the amphitheater known as Libbey Bowl. Visitors can enjoy picnics under shady trees in the heart of downtown or attend concerts with comfortable seating and great acoustics.
Libbey Park had an international dance show today. A lot of dance shows were scheduled throughout the day. I liked the park. It is filled with trees and has nice walkways amidst the grass and dedicated areas - small bowl, small stage, fountain, and restrooms. I took 1 picture of a performance and the day's schedule.

A wonderful, wonderful park. Plenty of shade, a nice water fountain and plenty of seating in the entrance courtyard, several parking options, one of the best playgrounds I’ve ever seen, short hiking paths, nice tennis courts at the back, clean toilets and water fountains available.
Oana G — Google review
Lively Ojai park filled with fun experiences and people. There is usually an event going on whether it’s a small market, music group, performance, or tennis tournament. Must visit place in Ojai for a peaceful walk or fun play with children on the playground.

Very much impressed with this park! Out first time in Ojai and this park was a big hit with kids! Really cool rides, mist, fountain, stage, tennis courts... you make it, this park has it!
Yana G — Google review
Nice park with a small plaza with a central fountain. A playground, sure to provide plenty of fun for the kids, is located here. Tennis courts with grandstands and the Libby Bowl amphitheater are major attractions, as is the old jail.
Steve S — Google review
It's a cute park with tennis court where some world famous tennis players played. This small town Ojai according to the locals is for weekends. We found it odd that shops did not open until 11 or 12. Some open only Thursday through Sunday. But it was very sunny unlike the gloomy seaside. Traffic must be awful on weekends.
H T — Google review
An excellent park for families and general recreation. Tennis courts, a generous playground, amphitheatre, hiking trails, squirrels being flirty - this park has something for everyone.
Shaun O — Google review
This has to be the cleanest, nicest park in socal. So many fun things to do and something for all ages too. Even a box sledding hill with boxes stacked nicely on the side. We walked to the part from the bike trail and it was so peaceful and lovely.

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Ojai, Bonnie Lu's is a charming breakfast haven that captures the essence of homestyle dining. This beloved spot offers a delightful array of classic American breakfasts, from fluffy pancakes to their renowned biscuits and sausage gravy. Many locals have made it a tradition to visit Bonnie Lu's every Sunday before heading to the farmers market, and it's no surprise why visitors rave about its inviting diner atmosphere.
This is the cutest place. Sparkling clean and inviting. We stopped in for lunch but ordered breakfast, which is available all day. A short stack of blueberry pancakes and an egg on the side. The pancakes are huge and filled with lots of juicy blueberries. My hubby ordered the French toast, which was yummy, which came with fresh fruit. Both were top-notch. It's a little pricey, but this is located in prime Ojai. Service is excellent and friendly. We will definitely be back when we return to Ojai in the future. Another customer ordered a tuna sandwich, which look excellent!

If you want great food look no further! We just spent the weekend in Ojai for our daughter's wedding and enjoyed our first breakfast there so much we brought 10 people back with us the second day. The service with a smile is exceptional.

I was passing through Ojai just as Bonnie Lu’s opened and thought I would give it a shot. It is a cozy, welcoming restaurant with friendly service. I ordered the Denver omelette with bacon instead of ham, and it did not disappoint. If you’re in the area, you should try it out.

This 30 years family owned and operated diner has the ultimate classic breakfast recipes. The staff are extraordinary. Comfortable seating with food that makes you want to come back again and again. Try the thin pancakes or any omelette.
Vincent J — Google review
Easy free parking, located in the middle of town, this friendly breakfast spot might remind you of 'Back To The Future'. Good food, good service, fun old school decor. Recommended.
Itsallgooddm1 M — Google review
Pros: charming service, enjoyable food. Cons: $22.47 after tax and before tip for: one egg, one biscuit with gravy and hash browns is exorbitant.
Matthew D — Google review
Wonderful experience overall. Big meals for a great price and the friendliest staff. while the food was diner food it still had a true homemade taste, not just open a big bad of frozen foods and drop in the fryer. Felt like stepping back in time to an old family diner. We loved it and can’t wait to return. It’s a nice alternative to the rest of the area.
Frank F — Google review
It’s a really traditional American style restaurant. You can tell the waitresses are really friendly and they’re happy to serve. Multiple choices on the menu. You can always find the dish you like! Some of the food are little too greasy, and the sour dough does not taste the best. It’s a nice restaurant but unfortunately we waited for 30mins to be seated and another hour for the food. Make our dinning experience disappointed. Hope you can improve it after seeing this review!

Pizza restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Ojai, Ojai Pizza Company is a delightful spot for pizza lovers. Known for its generous toppings and fresh daily dough infused with honey, this eatery offers not just pizzas but also a selection of salads, subs, and pastas. Wednesdays are particularly enticing as large pizzas are available at half price! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming; guests are greeted with friendly smiles upon arrival.
More than just pizza! 🍕🥪 I’d been eyeing their Hot Pastrami Sandwich for a while but was skeptical—$14 for a 6” felt steep. Then, on a rainy Friday, I discovered their lunch special ($2 off plus a drink), and suddenly, it felt like a much better deal. And wow—that sandwich delivered. Calling the pastrami “thinly sliced” is an understatement—it practically melts in your mouth. The bread was perfectly crunchy, and everything just worked. We also tried the Vegetarian and Meatball Sandwiches, both solid choices. Next time, we’re going for the pizza—and if it’s as good as the sandwiches, this place might just become a regular stop.

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque town of Ojai, Ojai Pizza Company is a true gem that blends delicious cuisine with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the comforting aroma of freshly baked pizza and the inviting charm of a small-town eatery that clearly takes pride in its service and quality. The food is nothing short of exceptional. Each bite of pizza delivers a perfect balance of crisp, flavorful crust, rich tomato sauce, and generous, thoughtfully selected toppings. Whether you’re a fan of the classics or enjoy more adventurous combinations, there’s something on the menu to satisfy every palate. Equally noteworthy is the service. Emma, our server, was a standout. Her kind demeanor and helpful attitude made us feel genuinely welcome, enhancing the overall dining experience. She was attentive without being overbearing and added a personal touch that is often missing in larger establishments. The atmosphere at Ojai Pizza Company is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both locals and visitors. Whether you’re grabbing a casual bite or settling in for a leisurely meal with friends or family, this place makes you feel at home. Final Verdict: If you find yourself in Ojai, Ojai Pizza Company is a must-visit. Great food, excellent service, and a setting that captures the spirit of this quaint little town — it’s everything you want in a local dining experience.

I visit Ojai about once a year and this place is ALWAYS on my list. The food is absolutely delicious! On this trip, I ordered delivery for the first time. Their website quoted an hour, and when the one hour mark came, their delivery driver (Lauren) called me to say she was on her way, about 10 minutes out. I’ve never had food delivery where the restaurant calls within the quoted time to notify me of delays. I’ve always had the absolute BEST customer service, which is only overshadowed by how good the food is!! Eat here, you’ll be back, too!
Heather L — Google review
Great and friendly service. Too bad that they don't have a patio. Large pizza takes only 15 mins to cook.
Ирина К — Google review
It's great 👍!!! My favorite pizza was very tasty!
Alya R — Google review
I've only gotten two pizzas to go. One was a margherita and it was very good. Everybody liked it. The next night though. I got the chicken alfredo pizza and it was not a winner. I think they probably good pizzas, I only have a two pizza sample set, So I'm giving it a three on food. I went in to pick up the piece and it looked like a nice place to eat with a family or friends.

Thank you very much we love Ojai Pizza Company much love from our family to yours thank you again I hope whoever comes in to enjoy their deep dish pizza another delicious items that they have on the menu and they have lots of drinks to choose from take care and thank you very much

I appreciate that gluten free pizza options are available, but holy cow it is expensive. I understand paying a few dollars more to offset the cost for the restaurant, but paying the same amount for a small gf pizza and a large regular pizza is not right. Most people that are gluten free have no other choice.

Cafe
Located in Ojai, California, The Dutchess is a unique establishment that serves as an all-day bakery, cafe, and Burmese-Californian restaurant. Founded by restaurateurs Zoe Nathan and Josh Loeb, along with baker Kelsey Brito, this eclectic collaboration offers a diverse menu inspired by the local food scene and the Ojai community. The bakery creates delectable pastries, breads, cookies, and cakes using seasonal ingredients.
Pastries: Loved the samosa (comes with chutney), peach danish, tomato danish Lunch: Loved the Burmese chicken sandwich, kale and chicken salad with peanuts Dinner: Amazing crispy rice salad, chickpea fritters are fun (similar to fried polenta). Good, but nothing to write home about: crispy smashed potato, tea leaf salad (preferred crispy rice), pork noodles (noodles were too mushy), lamb biryani, goat masala, naan.
Tina V — Google review
The food was delicious as a whole but the Motley crew lamb masala was the star of the dinner, it was packed with so much flavor that complemented the tandoori chicken and naan so well. Our cocktails of choice were the Nuevo mundo which was more refreshing and the Free bird with more spicy, both were mezcal based. To end the night we got the falooda that had layers of flavor one under the other as pictured and were good to eat one layer at a time but when you grabbed a spoonful of them all that was when you got a something that can only be described as subtly tart, sweet, and refreshing. It was a very warm ambiance from the bar seating while waiting for a table, to the outdoor seating.
Emiliano D — Google review
This is a MUST VISIT restaurant if you are in Ojai. We ordered the naan bread, crispy rice salad and pork belly with noodles. So delicious and savory and the ethnic collaboration is just fantastic. Don't miss out on the fact that they also have an amazing breakfast menu available as well! Our server, Gabriel, was fantastic and did a great job highlighting the details of the menu.

Super fresh food, really lovely staff. We got naan, crispy rice salad and coconut chickpea curry and 2 cocktails for $95 I definitely want to go back and try more menu items, or come with a few more people to get more items! Sophia was our server and she was so sweet. Next up : tea leaf salad , beef curry, and one of the aged tuna dishes

Expensive but very high quality pastries. I had a hard time picking what to get! Simple but good coffee, too.* *I will say that having the ONLY nondairy milk option be a housemade almondmilk that you pay $2.50 extra for kinda sucked

One of my favorite restaurants! We go every time we are in Ojai. Food is always good, they don't have the fish head in the menu anymore which is a bit disappointing but we have made peace with that. I am writing this review after I have tried every dish and drink on the menu that are nuts free ( I am allergic to nuts) 10/10 no notes! Fantastic! Can't for our next visit! The service is amazing!
Aïssatou S — Google review
We had a lovely time at The Dutchess. The food had some hit and misses. The coconut chicken noodle soup was delicious but the noodles could be chewier, a bit overcooked. The biriyani was delicious in flavoring but would do better with big chunks of lamb verses the minced meat. The rockfish flavor was not as spiced as expected but cooked perfectly. The chicken tikka was very delish and no notes! Great staff, very cool ambience. Worth trying.

A nice spot for a casual meal of salad and pizza. The salad dressing was unique and really tasty, while the pizza itself wasn’t particularly special but had a wholesome, healthy flavor. They don’t serve soda, so I tried the kombucha instead, which is locally made in Ojai—and it was surprisingly delicious. The atmosphere inside really captures the local Ojai vibe. If you plan to visit, make sure to check out the restroom—it’s definitely worth a stop!

Thoroughly enjoyable! Exquisite pizza pie with a light finish and amazing flavor. Will joyfully finish one to myself as I stare into the fiery dome from whence it came!!! Good food aside, you must take a trip to the lavatory - thank me later!

Pinyon is a must-go for you next trip to Ojai! The staff there are very kind and laid back, and really know the menu well. We got two pizzas, the giant beans and the broccolini. If you go, GET THE BROCCOLINI! It’s finely cut with small pieces of date and some Calabrian chile, which makes for a super interesting veggie order. They also gave us a free sesame baguette on the way out - these people know their bread!

Must have forgot to review 10 months ago! This has been a go to spot when in Ojai. Post hike, post or pre anything honestly. Great sourdough pizza, the bagels are insane. I love how clean and tasty their ingredients are. Also, the homemade lemonade is crazy! They also serve great cold drinks as well. Super friendly.

Visit to Ojai found Pinyon. We enjoyed a pizza, and salad for lunch that was outstanding. Their fresh lemonade was delicious and tart from locally grown lemons. We also got some bread that was freshly baked sourdough baguettes and a free form load. It is the best bread I’ve had in a long time. Well worth stopping.

A delightful surprise! Wasn't our first choice for dinner but we ended up having an absolutely stunning meal. Ordering is a bit counter intuitive with the hybrid counter service / coursing, but the food more than makes up for it! The caesar salad was a lemony dream and the smokey goat cheese pizza was to die for! Will absolutely be coming back here.
John A — Google review
VERY unhappy with the service and food here at Pinyon. My friend and I came in looking forward to dinner since we’ve been wanting to try the food here. We ordered an $18 pizza which ended up costing us over $23 because they include gratuity, and it wasn’t even a full service restaurant! You still have to go to the front to order your own food and pour your own water, other than them bringing us our food I’m confused why tip is automatically included?? Also, probably wouldn’t have tipped much if it were up to me because the host/waitress was AWFUL. She honestly acted like she hated us… and we both sensed it. It was hard to get her attention, and when we asked for ranch she brought us a cup for free but then said they charge for extra? The whole experience felt very off, and the food was below average. I wouldn’t even be leaving this review though if not for the mandatory tipping on top of the awful service. Left a very bad taste in my mouth and will not be returning

We talked to some locals and they recommended this spot and OMG… so good! We walked in around 6pm and were able to get two seats at the bar. Everything that was coming out looked so good. We ended up getting the insalata zarina, Pizza del bob, and Ezzelina. My favorite was the Pizza del bob but my friend lovedddd the Ezzelina. The insalata zarina had all fresh ingredients from the farmers market that day and the Ezzelina had homemade noodles! Definitely stop in :) can’t wait to eat our leftovers!

DOG friendly patio in back accessible through the walkways. Seriously some of the best pasta I have ever had. And yes, Im including Italy! Make sure you order the homemade pasta, although I'm sure the dry noodles are good as well. Many other options on the menu. See pics of menu from May 2018. The staff could not have been more friendly or professional. Public parking lot on the street behind the restaurant, across from Farmers Market on Sundays.

I can't say enough about this place. We went for a romantic meal, mainly attracted by the ambiance and it turned out to be one of the best meals I've had in a while. If you're in Ojai, this place is not to be missed. The menu is extensive and very well curated. The food is fresh, flavourful and delicious. The prices are a bit high, but generous portions of the high quality food more than justify the prices. I would highly recommend the 'Fettucine di Limone alla Marittima' - lemon/herb pasta in brandy-tomato-cream sauce with fresh wild local catch and baja california clams - I was totally blown away; it is easily of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. The outdoor seating is perfect for the pleasant Ojai evenings, and makes the dining experience delightful. A big shout out to our server who took amazing care of us and made our evening even more memorable. Highly recommend this place!

This was our one of the few Italian restaurant experience and she made sure we had a great time.We liked everything from drinks to food. If your in ojai please visit this place!!

Got here at opening at 5. Unfortunately couldnt try the local wine but had a great italian red that was equivalent. Enjoyed the mushroom risotto, mushroom toast, the housemade pasta with shrimp and a house salad. Ingredients fresh, lots of shrimp with the housemade pasta. The bread with olive oil and balsamic tasty. Since my partner is diabetic, we opted for more pasta vs a dessert so no sweets. Overall did not disappoint. No corkage fee if ya bring your own. Fyi.

Lovely spot for a Saturday evening. Fresh, delicious, authentic menu. Had a salad, house made pasta (halibut with green noodles and spicy tomato sauce, yum;) and dessert (creme brulee, chocolate cake plus decaf & espresso) Good service and pleasant atmosphere

Mexican restaurant
Jim & Rob's Fresh Grill is a vibrant Mexican establishment adorned with vintage photographs, offering traditional dishes and a salsa bar. It is a popular choice among Ojai locals for lunch or evening Margaritas. Despite the generally high food prices in town, this restaurant feels like a great value due to its exceptional quality. A local tip suggests ordering the cheese fries and chicken & rice soup. The service at Jim & Rob's is outstanding, and the bartender is amiable and accommodating with drink preferences.
Great lunch stop in Ojai! We sat in Lisa's Cantina and were well taken care of by Erik—super friendly and attentive. Fresh, tasty food and a laid-back vibe. Would definitely stop here again!

The first time we went on a Thursday in July just after noon and it was BUSY without a seat inside or out for awhile. The fact that it was so busy meant it was probably good, and overall the food was tasty. We eventually sat outside, not too long of a wait. As for the food, we shared a burger and I would have preferred a fresher Watkins Ranch burger patty, but I would definitely try it again. Fries were alright, onion rings were delicious, and with two drinks plus tip it was about 30 bucks. Excellent service and friendly staff. The second time we went was the first week in December and there was no line and plenty of outdoor seating. We had a regular burger and fries (they were out of the Watkins Burger) and chicken fajitas with flour tortillas. The chicken tasted sweet as though it was cooked in a sugary mixture, and unfortunately the Mexican rice appeared to be microwaved. The tortillas were warm and tasty, and it sure was a lot of food as you can see in the photo. Although not the best visit, we think it was just an off day and we'd probably try again. The French fries were fresh, hot and delicious.

I've eaten here before, and it's been decent. I ordered the beef taquitos to take home. The beef was so overcooked and dry they were inedible. The meat in taquitos should be chewy, not dried and crunchy. One of the worst meals I've had in Ojai

I really don't know what to say about this place. The reviews looked great. They had a sign outside that said they had the best burrito. I got a salad and you can see in the photos it was watery. There should not be that much water at the bottom of a salad. The flavor was barely there. The tacos that came were mostly lettuce. I did like that they had soda water at the soda fountain so I could get bubbly water as I don't drink soda. The tea was very good. However everything else was just OK. For the price I was not impressed.

First time tonight for us as visitors. Great local place. Lives up to rep as best casual Mex dinner in town. Lisa’s margarita was excellent. I, too, think Nicole’s review is BS. Plenty of helpful staff; excellent service, barkeep got a nice gratuity.

Delicious chicken tostada w/fresh & savory ingredients. Very tasty chili relleno. Friendly service, nice Chardonnay. Lunched on the side patio.

I've probably eaten about 75 burritos here (not all at once). They are excellent every time and so is the service. I love sitting outside in the little courtyard or one of the shady tables out front. Nice house made salsas too. A reasonably priced gem in Ojai.

American restaurant
The Oak is a versatile dining spot located in Ojai Valley Inn, offering breathtaking views of the golf course and majestic 200-year-old oak trees. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the restaurant provides a serene setting for quality time with loved ones. The menu features delectable dishes such as gluten-free braised short ribs and vegan enchiladas. Additionally, visitors can explore nearby boutique shops like Ali Golden for unique finds and enjoy top-quality amenities within the resort compound.
Wonderful experience we had here. The resort was beautiful. I would say come before your reservation to just enjoy and view the property. All of our food was very good. The hummus is a must. We enjoyed our meals and would return. It’s a very nice city to enjoy when trying to escape the busy city. We will plan residing at the resort next time. Valet complimentary when arriving to restaurant, may also self park

Came here for lunch for my mother's birthday in early November and had made a reservation. After being seated it took over ten minutes (I timed it) and asking twice to recieve menus for the two of us. They did however compensate us for the wait with a free appetizer. Aside from the poor attention from the staff on the floor and that being inexcusable since they only had two other tables being waited on.... the food was phenomenal! If you like fine dining incorporated with American cuisine I highly recommend this place to stop at while walking around the resort. It was quite a flavorful experience!

After spending the entire day at the spa, we were looking forward to a relaxing, high-quality birthday dinner at The Oak. Instead, the experience was unacceptable, unsafe, and deeply disappointing. The service was inattentive from the start as our server barely acknowledged our table. The sea bass was first brought out completely overcooked and chewy. When we asked for it to be redone, the second plate came out raw in the middle, a serious health hazard if consumed. My husband’s pork chop was also dry and overcooked, showing zero consistency in the kitchen. It even felt retaliatory after we pointed out the first dish was poorly prepared. When we raised these concerns, the manager apologized but made no real effort to salvage what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner. For a restaurant tied to such a high-end spa resort, this level of carelessness and disregard for guests is appalling. The attached photo speaks volumes about the mishandling in their kitchen. Serving raw fish is not just poor execution, it is dangerous. What should have been a memorable final evening in Ojai turned into one of the most frustrating dining experiences we have ever had. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value your health, your money, and your time.

This place was amazing! The ambiance was so great and the grounds were perfectly landscaped and so beautiful! My husband and I came here for a drink during the famous “pink moment. We sat by the fire pits, and it was very relaxing. Honestly, how we just walked down the path a little bit further we would’ve gotten a better view of the mountains and the notorious pink moment than sitting at the fire pits. My husband got an old old-fashioned and it was actually so delicious. I had a glass of wine and it was very good. There are four pools at the resort and they are all absolutely stunning! We didn’t eat any food here, so I cannot speak to the quality of that. Overall, I highly, highly recommend this resort! ❤️

I’ve had the pleasure of dining at The Oak at Ojai Valley Inn many times, and it never disappoints 😋. The food is always incredibly fresh 🌿, and the scenery is nothing short of breathtaking, with relaxing views of the mountains and the golf course ⛰️⛳. The service is always superb, making each visit a delight 💯. I usually go for the yogurt parfait, which is consistently delicious 🍓, but today I decided to try the breakfast burrito, and it was very good 🌯. If you’re there on a Sunday, don’t miss the special breakfast buffet—it’s truly impressive 🥞🍳.

We went to dinner at The Oak at the Ojai Valley Inn. The grounds are gorgeous and we got to see the sunset and the “pink mountains”. The Oak’s ambiance was wonderful as was our server, Paul. I loved sitting outside under the cozy heat lamp. We shared a wedge salad which was delish, but the roasted chicken was super salty and I wasn’t a fan of the fried chicken bites appetizer. Didn’t love the food, but it’s truly beautiful. Pics of our view of the trees lit up over the golf course.

We went on a company team building event with MediZoom Medical Transportation to Ojai and had opportunity to visit The Oak at Ojai Valley Inn. Had an amazing time. People like Jeffery and Richard from the Oak Restaurant made a lasting memorable impression and our service with Jenna at the Wallace Neff Heritage Bar was amazing! For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Ojai Deer Lodge, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Ojai Certified Farmers Market. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Ojai Deer Lodge, located in Ojai, CA, offers a unique dining experience with farm-to-table cuisine and live music in a cozy lodge setting. The restaurant is dog-friendly and features a spacious outdoor patio where you can enjoy dishes like Thai fried calamari, mac and cheese, steak frites, fried chicken, tri tip nachos, St. Louis style ribs, and pulled pork.
We decided to eat dinner before our friend’s band went on. The food was amazing. Ask for more Chimichuri sauce for the steak frites. Bbq platter was delish. Desserts were so good. Flourless chocolate cake, and tiramisu. Dancing area was fun. This place feels like a locals only, hole in the wall. But service was great and the crowd was friendly.

Ojai Deer Lodge is a historical place filled with reminders of the past. We really enjoyed seeing all the antiques and the rustic decor. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The menu has a variety of items sure to please anyone's palette. We ordered the patty melt, served on sourdough bread, and a generous amount of grilled onions. It was a delight to the taste buds. The side of coleslaw was very flavorful, and the cabbage was very fresh. I highly recommend Ojai Deer Lodge.

This place is super fun. Feels like we are in an old ski town. The vibes are mountain/biker turned hippie rancher. Great selection of local drinks. They bring in some cool indie bands/artists for live music, they also have a pool table out front to enjoy. There usually is a cover to get in on weekends.

The 3 stars is for the food only. We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. Had 2 bloody Mary’s, tri tip sandwich, nachos, and hush puppies. The food was mediocre at best. Do not order the hush puppies. It was super dry and not good. We sent it back and wasn’t charged, thank you for that. Besides the food, I was happy that it was pet friendly and the outside is really spacious and nice. It’s a cute place just outside of downtown. There were lots of bikers there.

Our first (and only) visit to the Ojai Deer Lodge was for Thanksgiving dinner. To say that it was a disappointment would be an understatement. It was the food. Believe me when I say that it was comparable to the meals served in homeless shelters. Of course, those meals were free of charge; this one was over $200. The saving grace was the service. Our waitress did a terrific job waiting on our table while balancing the needs of the crowd of other diners. Note that there is very limited parking here.

My colleague's and I had a lunch break during our work conference at the Ojai Valley Inn and one of them highly recommended we go to the Ojai Deer Lodge for lunch. It was an excellent suggestion. The lodge is situated right off a main road with parking out front. There was a nice side courtyard with outdoor seating and ample seating in the rustic lodge. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the sun and fresh air. I would highly recommend that. The menu selection of food was very diverse at very reasonable prices. I ordered the wild salmon on wild rice with asparagus. The portion was very of good size and the price- just $26. Overall I would definitely recommend stopping by and checking out the lodge. Although we didn't eat inside I did get a quick tour. There was a small music stage, amazing decor of large antler chandeliers and a bar with a wide range of spirits. I would say it would be fun to come here in the evening. So come check this place out!

The Ranch House offers upscale Californian cuisine with a focus on homemade bread and herbs grown on-site, complemented by an extensive wine selection. Tucked away in a garden with bamboo trees and a Koi pond, this outdoor restaurant exudes romance and charm. With over 70 years of experience, it is known for indulgent gourmet meals, including the renowned pate. The seasonal menu caters to couples seeking immaculately prepared dishes.
I love this place! It's a special place. I feel at peace when I go there. Last night, there were large parties so wasn't as sweet, comfy and quiet. Food is always plentiful and tasty. Staff are great to talk to. Sitting outside in nature is just awesome and a nice night.

What an incredibly disappointing experience! They only serve a prix fixe 3 or 5-course dinner, with no mention of this on their website or social media, likely because the food is terrible and overpriced. Even if you want to do a la carte for two, you’re only allowed to take the 5-course menu to split between 2. First off, I was served warm white wine. Though they replaced it, they charged me for the second glass without informing me. 1)The pate was made of unknown meat, it’s not listed on the menu, probably because of its questionable origin. The bread was also not homemade and tasted store bought. 2) I ordered the watermelon salad with dressing on the side, but the dish came fully and overly dressed. 3) The portobello mushroom dish didn't have any portobello mushrooms. The waiter seemed surprised when I pointed it out, which is unacceptable. I don’t know if he was aware, or thought I wouldn’t notice, but it’s always customary to inform diners at the beginning of a meal if there are any substitions or lack of ingredients. 4) the scallop risotto was tasteless. 5) the dessert tasted store-bought. We ended up not finishing the food and, not wanting to waste it, took it home to feed the starters and mains to our dogs. Overall, the service was slow, despite there being only two tables occupied. Even with a 10% discount, it didn't make up for the surprise billing of the second glass of wine. Their only selling point, based on their website, is the garden, but it looks unkempt and neglected, as if they can't afford a proper gardener. When we left, there was only 1 table, at peak dining hour on a weekend. Save your money. This place is best avoided.

Nestled in the tranquil surroundings of Ojai, The Ranch House offers a dining experience that's as much about ambiance as it is about the food. The restaurant is set in a beautiful, lush garden, with twinkling lights and the soothing sound of water features, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a special occasion.

One star for the overgrown garden, one for the friendly staff, one for my courtesy, zero for the food. My friend and I ordered two 3 courses for our dinner. My friend had a cold soup with mango sorbet. It sounds interesting but tasted just like cucumber/celery smoothie with a scoop of mango sorbet😅. I had a tomato soup but without any tomato flavor, and it was sweet🤔. The bread came with rosemary butter, but the rosemary was too strong, bread was supermarket grade. Appetizer for my friend was a fish cake with veggies and some crackers, same fish as they used in the main course as you can see on the pictures. It tasted okay first, then when the main courses came, we realized the fish they used in the main course was exactly the same as what they used in the appetizer just in different sizes. The steak that I ordered was over cooked, and we never touched the fish. The sautéed veggies on our main courses were same, all the sauces tasted the same and way too sweet! We asked for the check without waiting for the dessert, the waiter didn’t bother to ask the reason why we didn’t touch the fish or if we want the dessert. I wouldn’t recommend food for the Ranch House, the garden is not well maintained either. The owner should know the truth and make improvement if they want to survive in this world.

It was our date night in Ojai again and we decided to try The Ranch House for dinner. Surprisingly, We were able to get reservations the same day. The atmosphere is amazing! It was really a special place. The food was very good and the set menu and price was fair. My only issue, which isn't that big was the price on the "mocktails". Otherwise is was a wonderful experience.

As a wedding vendor, I can’t rave enough about this place. Tara was extremely helpful and accommodating. She let me set up early and worked together with me the entire night. The garden was stunning, it was like walking into a fairytale. The food was absolutely hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. That’s coming from someone who eats catered food almost every weekend. Despite the groom requesting to delay the food after it was already made, it came out hot. The chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. There was a delicious brown sweet sauce that completely made the dish for me. Highly recommend The Ranch House!

Oh, my, gosh!!!! This place! Words can barely define this place! My wife and I were looking to go out to a nice place for our 5 year anniversary, and as you can imagine, it is hard to find a place in the times of COVID. But we found this place and made a reservation via Google, and it was all taken care of. The moment we walked into the front part of the Garden, we loved it! It's such a romantic and beautiful place! We were shortly greeted by Russ, the Manager. He was supper awesome, got us checked in and seated instantly! We were quickly waited on by Ruby, who had an amazing and bubbly personality! She was supper awesome and assisted my wife and I so well with understanding their unique menu. Which let me tell you, is amazing! you can ether get 3, of their 5 courses, for $60, or you can get one of each course for $15 more ($75). My wife, who has had a gastric bypass, got the 3 course meal, and she was quite satisfied with the food she got, not feeling over filled, or still wanting for more. My self, I got the full deal of the 5 course meal, and felt exactly the same! The 5 course meal looks as followed: Appetizer, Soup, Salad, Entree and Dessert. The App, Salad and Dessert are kind of small, but they are perfect as the entree and the soup as average to normal sized servings for a restaurants. But personally, if they had been any larger, then I don't know if I would have been able to eat the whole 5 course meal! Oh, and their soda! I got Coke-Cola and it tasted heavenly!!! I have only tasted an equal taste to that of Mexico Sugar Cain Cola. But hey, you be the judge of it, I loved it! Once we were done with the food and were ready to go, the total meal came out to $177, with a 15% tip (that I willingly gave). I really do plan to come back to this place soon, possibly bring my mom here for mothers day in May. If I could, I would want to just relax in the garden here and work on my book. After we paid and left our table, we were aloud to walk around the location and admire the surrounding atmosphere, while staying a safe distance from other parties of course. We even got a breaf background of this restraint from Russ, and how it use to be an herbal garden home before it had changed into The Ranch House. If you are ever in town, and looking for a romantic place to go out with your significant other, this is the place to go! It is well worth the buck you are spending here. Expect to spend about roughly two hours here, and enjoy every second of it!

This is one of those places that is so incredibly delicious, that I got annoyed because I don’t live closer. If you’re in the ojai area, this is a must. They have two options, either 3 or 5 course prixe fix menus. This isn’t one of those places that have small portions either, if anything, the mains were huge. The absolute highlights for me were the watermelon fizz cocktail and the porchetta entree. The staff were so sweet and incredibly helpful with picking drinks and food when we got stuck. And this place is essentially a lush garden.

Super cute spot! Went for breakfast for the first time this week and it was so good we returned for dinner! Classic California vibes with whole, locally grown fare, fresh, healthy and delicious! We had smoothies, lattes, baked goods, tacos and the veggie burger and everything was soooo good. Loved eating in the side yard under the trees, kids and dogs running around. Perfect cafe 100/10

But a oatmeal walnut chocolate chip cookie, I realized it had coconut in it. When I took it back. They tried to tell me there was no coconut. My wife and I came here on a Saturday morning around 9 AM and there was barely any line. There was plenty of parking in the free parking lot. We also were able to get a table indoors and eat our meal. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito and it was super good. It even had some zucchini at which I thought was super creative. I ordered the açai bowl without banana and really enjoyed it. It had fresh strawberries and blueberries on it. My wife also had this golden latte and she really enjoyed it. I grabbed a decaf Americano. I really liked this option.

This place has the best vibe. The atmosphere is welcoming, cozy and strikes a balance between feeling like you're at a restaurant and somewhere having a picnic because there's seating outside in the trees if you like. We sat outside but close to the restaurant itself. There is indoor seating. There were many people from all walks of life enjoying lunch when we went. The service was excellent and everyone was friendly and helpful. We ordered the Traditional Burrito which went too fast for me to grab a picture, and also the Farmer's Plate with cashew cheese instead of Jack, and added avocado (for an extra $2). It also came with beans, rice, pico de gallo, pickled cabbage and two corn tortillas on the side. Everything was delicious. We will be back!

Healthy, beautiful, fresh and unusual offerings. Funny to call food beautiful but it’s the only way to describe the visual appeal. I tried several things. A few things i couldn’t eat because of allergies. But there were plenty of other things available to feasted on. The gluten free donuts are a must have so fresh, slightly dense and just the right amount of sweet and the flat pastry topped with various veggies was something that I will crave and drive two hours back for! and i do not even like donuts . My companion had the hippo toast and really liked it! A must stop coffee shop great menu. Friendly staff. Fun and comfortable environment.

Sleek and modern ambience, small selection of baked goods and very friendly staff. The best part about this place - the coffee. We tried their Costa Rican chemex coffee, and it was absolutely delightful - not only how good the coffee was, but how they served it as well and how reasonably priced it was. Would highly recommend coming here for a cup of some great coffee.

The Ojai Certified Farmers Market is a must-visit event in Ojai, offering an array of local goods every Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM, rain or shine. The market features a delightful selection of fresh produce, cheeses, flowers, and more from local vendors. You can also explore the Ojai Community Farmers Market on Thursday evenings for additional offerings.
Nice farmers market. Small but you’ll find fresh flowers, fruits, and vegetables here. We bought fruits and they’re the sweetest and freshest we’ve ever tried. It’s worth visiting! • Limited Parking • No Pets • Bring Cash
Ycel D — Google review
High quality beautiful delicious fruits, vegetables, flowers, and handmade goods for reasonable prices. The environment is amazing every Sunday morning, filled with music, families, animals, and pure joy! Totally recommend the market as a classic Ojai experience.

The produce is great and the people are AWSOME. Very friendly and informative about their products. We are not lical, but found many items to bring home including lavender, olive oil, wood crafts, Apples, papayas and much more. We also saw cheese, fresh chicken and eggs. Oh, and of course great flowers! There is a public parking lot across the street. The market is held on Sunday morning and closes by 1pm.

We love farmers markets but this was pretty underwhelming and very overpriced. Fairly small. No dogs/pets allowed.

Just the perfect Sunday market, hidden gem

Everything you want from a farmers market. Friendly vendors, great produce and an amazing atmosphere. I'll probably be there this Sunday.

Great farmers market. The absolute BEST FRUIT I have ever had in my life!!! And I even saw a TV star at the farmers market!!

Lovely selection of farmers some from right here in the Ojai Valley. One may find, in addition to fresh vegetables and fruits in season, fresh flowers from more than one vendor (the grower from Carpinteria has a great selection. Other vendors offer flowers in addition to other things.); honey, a few meat and poultry sellers (top notch), olive oil, eggs, baked goods - BreadLok from Santa Monica generously drives up to vend at this FM. Their's is a gluten free bakery and oh so wonderful - fav is the olive bread and that lavender dessert cake! Trying the focacia this time. Anticipating greatness. Stepladder creamery comes down from Cambria with excellent cheese. Goat and cow. Grooving on Cabrillo right now (manchego like). There's even a coffee roaster selling beans (not coffee to drink). BTW, it's all open now without capacity limits. Honestly not crowded at all when I went. Masks are still required (writing this review April 2021 while pandemic still in play. Obviously, things may be different in a few months). So grateful to have such a blessed FM.

Japanese restaurant
Sakura Ojai is a remarkable sushi restaurant that offers an exceptional dining experience. The sushi is of the highest quality, with each piece delivering a delectable and flavorful sensation that effortlessly melts in your mouth. The Wasabi adds a delightful kick to the already delicious flavors. In addition to their sushi, Sakura Ojai also serves appetizing pot stickers that boast a delicate and sweet taste with every bite.
I went to Sakura in Ojai on a Sunday night. The spicy edamame were very delicious and seasoned with fresh garlic. The sushi is well made and the ingredients are extremely fresh. They have a large variety of interesting rolls to choose from. They have a sushi bar for people also. I will definitely be back again!

very simple, but very tasty establishment. large portions (keep this in mind when ordering), tasty food, fairly fast service, nice prices! definitely recommend!

I'm so glad I gave this place a second chance. I ordered take out from here a few years ago and the order was all wrong, items were missing and the sushi just wasn't good. We called and spoke to the owner & to his credit, he did offer to buy our dinner if we came back but we never did because we didn't like the sushi the first time around. But on a recent visit to Ojai, a friend wanted sushi and the options in Ojai are limited. Not feeling like driving down to Ventura or Oxnard, I decided to give Sakura another shot. Any restaurant can have an off night. The sushi was fresh, delicious & beautifully presented. The service started out strong but got REALLY weak once they got a little busy. I waited 20 min when we were done to ask for a check & a box but our server had vanished so I had to get up & hunt someone down so we could pay & leave. It's Saturday night, staff up! But overall a good experience. Here's to 2nd chances!

Been in Ojai since 1997. My wife and I come here every Friday and always look forward to it. The sushi chefs James and Sam are the best. Make us feel like family. And of course the food is top notch. Always tell my patients and friends to stop here when in town. Thank you everyone at Sakura for what you do. Best of the best

Just gross. I’ve had better grocery store sushi. Maybe the Korean food on the menu is better. I don’t know because I just wanted sushi. This stuff came out way too fast, like it was already made and in the refrigerator. The waitress didn’t check on us once and just dropped the check on the table without asking if we wanted anything else. I’m attaching a picture of the seriously weak maguro sushi flipped over. If you know sushi, you know this isn’t right. Super lame. Update: I just violently threw it all up. Hopefully, I don’t have knarly food poisoning!

Tasty! Came here on a Saturday for lunch. Everything was delicious. The sear and flavor of the white tiger roll was *chefs kiss!* The sauce for the raw oysters complemented the dish well. Attentive servers and awesome food.

Very relaxing dinner. Great, attentive service...and excellent sushi. The sashimi so fresh it melted in my mouth! We'll be back!

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the charming Meiners Oaks, Papa Lennon's is a delightful pizzeria and Italian eatery that captures the essence of small-town dining. With its inviting courtyard and cozy interior, it’s an ideal spot for families looking to enjoy a meal together. While their pizzas are solid choices—especially the standout Thai Chicken topped with carrots and peanut sauce—the real stars of the menu might just be the non-pizza offerings.
What a gem!! Super friendly staff. Ashley was so kind, informative and helpful. The BBQ chicken pizza was fantastic! The Chianti was sublime and the outdoor patio was so relaxing. Super affordable too!

AMAZING! This place had incredible pizza and appetizers! We had 2 gluten free pizzas and they were so AMAZING! We also got one regular pizza and it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is great. We will be coming back!

Really cute restaurant with a great patio setting. The pizza was good not great but I'm a native east coaster so my tastes are specific. My husband enjoyed the salad and soup. I wish the service was more full service. I don't mind placing the order myself but, after bringing your food out, you were on your own for napkins, utensils, extra plates, etc. We ended up having to get up multiple times during the meal. It was also unclear if we were supposed to clear our own table. So, I would definitely return, very nice environment and good food, just would have preferred a more full service option.

Local mom and pop eatery using quality ingredients. I started with an Amber beer on tap which was perfect; Hubby ordered a Mexican Coke. My hubby started with the Albondigas soup and, having eaten it at many Mexican restaurants, said it was done right. We shared the Goat to Pizza, which was unique (think pizza with spinach, goat cheese sundried tomatoes and thinly sliced lemons. Yes, lemons.) Delicious. NOTE, this is brick fired and 10 inch. Highly recommend. We ended the meal with the espresso bean Gelato. So yummy and a perfect soft consistency. We may have found our fave in Ojai. Next time we come, we will dine in the cute outdoor courtyard.
K G — Google review
I’ve heard about this place for a long time and have wanted to go sit on the amazing patio. I think we chose the wrong dishes as neither the pizza or salad were that great. The sangria was okay but no fruit, which is a critical component of sangria.
Amy T — Google review
One of the best pizza we ever had!!! We ordered 3 pizzas and they were all delicious 😋 Our most favorite was Mediterranean pizza. White Sauce and marinara sauce both were good...I like their patio ambience..lots of green in outdoor seating. I wll definitely recommend this place.

Looove the Greek salad and garlic fries and the outside atmosphere! One of my favorite places to go in Ojai!

It's like a good place for 1st date the eating areas ate inside or patio and even one table for 2 out by side walk , it doesn't have waiters no free refill on soft drinks or no complimentary bread rolls, I had spaghetti and meat balls it was ok kinda like from the can, my son had chicken Alfredo he enjoyed it he sed the chicken portion in his plate was generous and good.. it's diffrent mostly good atmosphere and alot of beautiful trees and old places to see in the Ojai valley

Tea store
Gift shop
Magic Hour Ceremonial Teas & Gifts is a charming Ojai cafe with a hidden sushi bar and patio seating. The menu features authentic Japanese bar snacks like tai chazuke, barbecued skewers, and karaage fried chicken. The owners, Yuya and Asaka, bring their hometown specialties to the table, such as white corn tempura from the Boso Peninsula and goma kampachi from Kyushu.
This place is indeed magical. I felt enchanted! They have a vast selection of tea blends in their store. There is also a tea room (indoor and outdoor sitting). They have an inviting menu of tea types and you can serve some pastries and other beverages such as a refreshing lavender drink, if you wish for. You can do tea tasting (3 blends per tasting, in case if you may be curious to taste any of the tea blends they have in their store for sell but I can’t recall how much such tasting was). I served the tea in the store (rather than the tea room) — where it is a designated sitting area with pillows on the floor to sit on and a cute table where one can be entertained by tarot cards. Staff is super patient, knowledgeable, and helpful!

I've enjoyed almost all of the teas I've tried from when this was Zhena's Gypsy Tea to now as Magic Hour. I'm so excited that they moved locations and have so much more space now for afternoon tea and hanging out. I'm looking forward to trying the afternoon tea! The shop still has a lot of interesting and pricey items if you're interested in the stuff other than tea. It also is still very beautiful inside.
Jamie M — Google review
My friends/co-workers brought me to Magic Hour for my birthday yesterday and we had the best time! This was a first for all of us including visiting Ojai, and our experience exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, the whole vibe was so lovely, and our tea experience was perfect. I couldn't have asked for more, but then this wonderful woman appeared with a basket of crystals and tarot reading cards and we couldn't resist. The reading my friends and I all received somehow have bonded us even stronger than before. Incredibly grateful for our time here. 10/10 would recommend. :)

We went on a lunch date, starting at Magic Hour, and what a terrific experience. The tea bar in the back is on point. The atmosphere is sophisticated, gorgeous, and the tea selection is beyond anything else. I cannot recommend this place strongly enough. We’re going to book it for our ten year anniversary.

Great experience with so many different teas and things to see!! Amazing aesthetics, truly a beautiful space! The in-house teas are wonderful. I got the matcha, it was perfect! Also there are different options for dairy free replacements, which is a plus!
Rosamel K — Google review
I absolutely love these teas. They are so delicious. Im allergic to coffee so Tea is very important to me. The ingredients are of the highest quality and the price is still very reasonable. I have been drinking magic hour teas now for several years and I have yet to have one that isn't amazingly good. I recently just tried the black cat brownie tea and candy corn tea and they are incredibly. My favorite everyday tea though is bohemian breakfast. Sooo good!

What a cool place!! So many delicious tea blends and cool tea accessories. Zhena, Founder & Master Blender was so generous and helpful. Her vast knowledge of teas and their various uses is truly impressive. They have a nice cafe with great tea service and snacks.

Fast food restaurant
Jolly Kone is a popular and well-loved burger joint in a charming small town. The locals, especially children, are drawn to this classic establishment. While the seating is outdoors, it offers an ideal spot on pleasant days to enjoy lunch with the family featuring their delicious burgers and fries. Additionally, they specialize in blended beverages. The prices are reasonable, with a cheeseburger combo including fries and a drink costing only $10.
Whenever you're in the area go ahead and try the Philly cheese steak combo it is to die for whenever you're in this little area make sure to stop by

I’ve been coming here since I was a kindergartener to this small family owned restaurant and it’s always been a good place to stop by especially if you’re looking for somewhere with a variety of options! this is a very nice spot that has limited seating and good food, although parking is hard to come by especially on their busier days, I’d highly reccomended coming here to spend time with your family or even just a quick grab for when you don’t know what to pick, and I’d definitely suggest the hamburgers 🍔

Great burger joint, the little Ojai bus drives past once an hour so easy to get to. Good food
Trine M — Google review
Nice, chill corner spot. Everything tasted fresh. The prices are high. Usually I would say quality matches the price, but these prices are a little too high. The shakes were thick and made with real ice cream, not soft served. The burgers were delicious. The grilled cheese with ham was good, the cheese was a little strong tasting for me(cheddar cheese, I usually eat colby jack). There are also Bolbas, banana splits and different flavors for shakes. Will go back, especially for the shakes.
Desiry C — Google review
A classic small town burger place. Very popular with the locals, and that includes children. The seating is outside so don't go on a rainy cold day. But on a half decent day it's the perfect place to take the kids for lunch burgers and fries and they specialize in blended drinks. Prices are not too bad. 10 bucks for a cheeseburger combo with fries and a drink. The seating is on concrete circular picnic tables with umbrellas. The neighborhood is quiet with only two or three other stores on the corner and all wooded residential beyond that. It feels like a classic California tiny town 50 years ago.

Came here after a hot hike for some ice cream. Good food, quick service, and nice shaded patio. Dogs seem welcome.
Andrea S — Google review
It was a little bit of a wait but it's covid time so that is normal. I do have to say they are working hard because the burger, french fries and onion rings were nice and hot. It was a good classic hamburger stand hamburger at a reasonable price. The ice cream was delicious.

Got my order quickly and was pretty good food. Root beer freeze was really good definitely something to try.
