Shopping
Discover a diverse shopping and entertainment destination at Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City, Iowa. This indoor mall is home to a wide range of local businesses, offering an enjoyable shopping experience for visitors from western Iowa, southeastern South Dakota, and northeastern Nebraska. With nearly 100 stores including popular brands like JCPenney, Bath & Body Works, and Victoria's Secret, there's something for everyone.
I bought my new clothes for winter, pretty good deals. You just have to look.

Southern Hills Mall is an absolute embarrassment — a sad, crumbling relic of what a shopping mall used to be. Walking in feels like stepping into a post-apocalyptic movie set where retail went to die. Half the stores are shuttered, the other half look like they’re next in line. You’re more likely to see tumbleweeds than actual shoppers. The “food court” is a joke — unless you're in the mood for cold fries and regret. The overall smell of the place is a weird mix of old carpet, stale pretzels, and hopelessness. Don’t even get me started on the bathrooms — you’d have better luck finding clean facilities at a gas station off a gravel road. There’s zero energy, no atmosphere, and nothing worth visiting. This mall should be condemned or converted into something useful — literally anything would be better than this depressing money pit. Save your time, save your gas, and avoid this place like the plague.
Alivia R — Google review
There was one good store really in this section! As a collective it scores right up with SF mall in my opinion. That's the whole collection of stores out in this area and if it were cold I would be more at the two star instead of high 3
Jeremy B — Google review
Honestly, this mall needs to be put out of its misery. Walking through it feels like stepping back into the '90s, and not in a good way. Half the storefronts are empty, and the remaining stores are lackluster. The food court is a sad collection of outdated options. Instead of trying to revive this dying space, Sioux City should tear it down and build a mega-mall. Imagine a modern shopping center with a huge variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options all in one place! It would draw people from all over the region and give the local economy a massive boost. Southern Hills Mall has had its day; it's time to make way for something bigger and better.
Gabriel H — Google review
It's a good place to hang-out. Nothing spectacular or outstanding. They have a decent food court and selection of stores. It could be better, but I mostly come here to walk around.
Rina B — Google review
I've lived in sioux city for most of my life and I have never seen the mall look as sad as it does right now. I would not recommend going here at all. Literally only a few good stores left.
Brody K — Google review
Happy 40th Anniversary ole friend. Southern Hills Mall once the destination of everyone in the area is now a mere shell of its self. Gone are the stores and beauty that pulled us to the SHM. The large clock at the sears wing, the stage, fountain, and light tower in the center court in front of the old Younkers, the murals around the top the center court, the live plants and tress along the corridors of the mall. The variety of shops are gone. Younkers, Sears, Coach House Gifts, Mr Bulkys, Peck N Peck, Walgreen's, Target, Master Cuts, Christian Book Store, Brook's Clothing, Command Performance, Happy Joe's Pizza, Bishops Cafeteria, York Steak House, Pet Land, Linda Lee's Hallmark, The Peanut Shack, Hickory Farms, Maurice's, Chess Kings, Hals, Bob Knowlers Black Night, Zales Jewelry, The Mark It Tee Shirt Shop, Alhers Clock, Stevensons, Breslers 33 Flavors, Karmelcorn, OZ game room Stuarts Hair, Red Cross Shoes, Tom McAnn Shoes, to name a few... I hope and pray that you do not become like the old KD stockyard station, or the downtown shopping district. Best of luck dear friend.

If you live in the Sioux City area I highly recommend checking out The Scoop at the Southern Hills Mall! This new ice cream place makes everything in house and you can taste it. Great flavors and unique combinations. Support local!

Shopping mall
Situated in Sioux City, the hotel is conveniently located near various attractions such as Lakeport Commons Shopping Center, Southern Hills Mall, and Chief Eagle Monument. It also provides easy access to businesses like Tyson Corporate Office and Terra Headquarters. Additionally, it's close to several colleges and universities including Briar Cliff University and Morningside College.
Nice area with good selection of stores, could use some more restaurants just so you don’t have to drive away to eat.

Traffic in this area is always bad. I love to come shopping at Lakeport Boot Barn and PetSmart are my 2 favorite spots. The traffic though always makes me dread the trip. Maybe another stop light in the area or stop signs at the driveways?
Tiffany G — Google review
Many stores have come and gone over the years here. Its much like any other strip mall. They would benefit from a parking lot repair in some areas and the sidewalks need a pressure wash.

HuHot Mongolian Grill is a popular chain restaurant that offers an informal setting for all-you-can-eat, customizable stir-fry dishes. The stir fry experts then cook the creation to perfection right in front of you. With options for both lunch and dinner, including carryout choices, HuHot provides a diverse selection of ingredients for a personalized dining experience.
Fast, friendly, and attentive staff. A lot of options - different combinations for a delish plate of food. Ordered the 4-piece Rangoon’s - delicious and perfect with the sauce. We went before the dinner rush, so there wasn’t any crowds or waiting to have our food cooked.

Our server, Frank, was wonderful! Very kind and very fast. He did a great job. I have other concerns regarding food safety and cleanliness. When we walked in the door, hosts were scooping chopped peanuts from a big tub into to go containers without gloves + without washing her hands in between seating guests and doing other tasks and going back to handling the food. Additionally, the cooks at the big grill had dirty dishes piled around and inside of the handwashing sink. The cooks were not washing their hands in between going off the line, drinking, and returning to cooking. The buffet line was also not maintained well after the dinner rush.
Gabrielle T — Google review
Service and atmosphere is great. I just don’t like how people can be when they get their food. They grab the utensil that grabs the food bare handed, highly doubt if they have washed hands, and they just throw it back into the food. only reason why I don’t want to go back.

I was completely disgusted. I dined in from out of town to spend time with family. This location in Sioux City compared to the Huhot near me back home is incredibly different. I'm disgusted because the atmosphere and service at home is no where near what I experienced today. I spoke to the general manager to compliment her, and her team, on the incredible work. From getting your food into a bowl, going to the grill, and sitting to eat - the staff was friendly and ready to serve. It was great to experience the level of attentiveness at the grill for those with allergies. Grill cooks were not over or under cooking food, which was great to see. It felt like leadership has a solid bird's eye view of their business in order to make it all work. Kudos to the staff there and thank you all for making the dinning experience awesome! Definitely a location that can teach standards for other Huhot locations!

I have been coming here for over 10 years. The management has changed ans hopefully for the better. Our waiter was not anywhere to be seen and the general manager was available to help us out due to his lack of attention. Hopefully this improves and allows us to return again but be more happy
Unknown — Google review
We waited for nearly 10 minutes to be seated while 6 employees wandered around the dining room. Once seated, we commenced the Hu-Hot dance to the full volume sounds of the Beasty Boys blaring over the sound system. The tiled portions of the floor were slick and greasy as if they hadn't been scrubbed in weeks. The soothing sounds of vacuuming near our table were constant as we tried and failed to carry on a conversation. ALL in all it was a fitting experience to add insult to injury the night before dropping our only daughter at college.

If you like the Mongolian grill experience you'll enjoy this restaurant. The service is quick and the food is good. Some of the signage is wrong but just ask if you aren't certain. Both of our kids thought it was delicious.

Bacon Creek Park in Sioux City is a 239-acre park offering a variety of activities for visitors. It features spacious picnic areas, shelters, and restrooms, making it an ideal spot for family outings. The park's lake provides opportunities for non-motorized water activities like kayaking and canoeing. Additionally, the expansive landscape with numerous trees creates a picturesque setting for photography enthusiasts.
This dog park is unlike any other dog park you've been to. They have two sections for large and small dogs, but then they have two other sections beyond those on both sides - that open up into a massive area for your dogs to free run. My husky LOVES this place. Not to mention, the whole park itself is gorgeous. The lake, the rolling hills, the geese and their babies - all there for you to enjoy her in Sioux City. This place has so many beautiful parks, you should get out and enjoy them.

Nice city park with lots of recreational options! There are two playgrounds, a dog park, picnic shelters, lots of benches and picnic tables, trails for walking or running all the way around the water, and docks for fishing and water access to kayak etc. It's so pretty out here and can really accommodate a lot of people all at one time.
Lindsay H — Google review
I loved the park. The paths around the lagoon are well marked and the scenery is very beautiful. The sunset photos are incredible.

Bacon Creek is a great park. You should know there are steep slopes between the parking lots and play grounds. There are steps, for your convenience, but sometimes it's closer to cut across the grass to get to your vehicle. Our family enjoys the shady gathering areas, the playgrounds, and the walking paths.
Sheila Y — Google review
The best place for some mental clarity, zen, & relaxation. I find myself walking the trail here many many times 💕
Cassie L — Google review
Bacon Creek is a wonderful place to visit! It has a couple of playgrounds, shelters for gatherings, several grills, fishing docks, a kayak launch, decent bathrooms, a dirt bike trail, and a paved walking trail. It's about 2.75 miles around the lake with a couple of benches along the way. There are also a couple of additional trail loops about .25 and .5 miles each. It has some good inclines and lots of wildlife! Just a beautiful place to be!
Tara P — Google review
Almost always a good experience. It was summer so it was very warm. On the east side of the lake there are a couple of playgrounds and several bathrooms.

My favorite local Sioux City park. Love walking the trails for exercise and to immerse in nature. Besides that you've got plenty of tables and grills for a family picnic, a couple nice playgrounds for the kiddos, two nice shelters for rent, the dog park for the pups, the lake for fishing, mountain biking trails and a great place to watch the sunset. Just make sure to keep it beautiful and clean up after yourself before you leave.

Fast food restaurant
Tastee Inn & Out is a family-owned drive-thru spot that has been serving sandwiches, hot dogs, and soft-serve ice cream since 1955. It's a Sioux City staple with an authentic old-school vibe and always bustling with customers. Their loose meat sandwich, known as the Tastee tavern sandwich, is a must-try - it's like an unpattied hamburger with pickle and mustard.
I love Tastee! The food is always hot and delicious, and it's fun to eat loose meats and know they were invented in Sioux City! Tastee might just make the best loose meats in the whole world. And I love the onion chips so much too.

Hot, fresh, tasty. Pricey. Awesome customer service. They were out of the stickers. I really wanted to get 2. Romeo, my dog, loved the ice cream cone. I nibbled a bite of it and it was yummy.
Renee K — Google review
Nostalgic place. Unique loose-meat burgers and the onion chips are addictive. They have daily specials that’s meaningful. Highly recommend stop while in Sioux City, IA; the original location.
El C — Google review
On my regular visits to Sioux City, curiosity finally led me to try the local fast-food spot I'd noticed. The highlight? A dish that defies expectations – not your standard burger, but a dry sloppy Joe. The lack of sauce was puzzling until I saw the setup, and the accompanying spoon suddenly made sense, though it left me wishing for more flavor. Seating is outdoor only, with a few picnic tables if you're keen to dine in the fresh air. The place has potential, but I couldn't help but feel that some lively, old-timey tunes over loudspeakers would've enhanced the nostalgic vibe they're missing. While the food left me wanting, it was an experience – one that I've ticked off my list. If you find yourself in Sioux City with a craving for fast food and a penchant for the unconventional, give it a go – but don't set your hopes too high for satisfaction. This version keeps the original insights but refines the advice and descriptions to better guide potential diners.

LOOOVE the onion chips & dip. I come all the way from Omaha, they're that good. Take a sip of pepto first, though. Ice cream is really good, too.

I'm 52 years old now and I've been coming here since I was a kid. The food is still the same. Still tastes great. A great alternative to the run of the mill fast food out there.

Great classic Sioux City place for crumbly burgers with onion chips. They have homemade dip for their onion chips which is da bomb!
Shannon B — Google review
Not knowing what a “loose meat sandwich” is, we were still wanting to try this Sioux City staple that has that wonderfully authentic old school vibe and is ALWAYS busy. I would describe it as an un-patty hamburger, complete with a pickle and mustard. Onion chips are tender but crisp and mellow in flavor (and I’m not an onion ring fan). How’d they get the name? You’ll know after one bite when you say aloud - “that’s tasty”.

SoHo Kitchen & Bar is a family-owned restaurant in Sioux City, IA, with a New York theme. They offer homemade American comfort food and a variety of craft beers on tap. The extensive menu caters to vegetarians and those with gluten allergies. Located on 4th Street, this establishment is known for its exceptional quality food and welcoming atmosphere. Customers praise the delicious yet affordable food and the great selection of beer.
This is such a cool place. It's themed after a New York subway station vibe and there are tons of playbills and theater photos. The food was so good. Really good portions for the price. I usually try some sort of jalapeno burger at every grill/American place I visit and I'm not gonna lie, this might be my favorite one yet. The cream cheese and grape jelly combo was elite.

Right on the main strip of downtown. Big place on the corner. Dining upstairs, bathrooms and party room downstairs. Some patio seating, too. Our server was great. Super attentive and nice. The food was amazing. The set up is awkward in my opinion. Tables crammed close together in some places, then big random open spaces. It was quiet for customers the whole time we were there (5-9 or so). Never had any more than 2 people at the bar. Only a couple of tables occupied. The bar stools are very hard and uncomfortable. But that food.....wow. Pickle cheeseburger pizza, jumbo tenderloin, Alfredo all just the bomb. Generous portions for fair prices. Nice happy hour deals. 40 beers on tap. Fun place to try out.

Soho is probably my favorite restaraunt downtown, whether it’s for lunch or dinner. I get something different every time I come and have yet to try something I didn’t like. Recently stopped for a business lunch with an out of town partner. The four of us were quickly seated, service was great, and we received our drinks and food quickly. Everyone loved their meal and the atmosphere, and it was their first time at this establishment. I ordered the Rueben and it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. I ALWAYS order sweet potato fries with my meal becuase they are freaking bomb.

My wife and I came here for a casual date on a Friday night before a 7:05 pm movie at the nearby theater (probably no more than a 3 minute walk from the restaurant and I bought the movie tickets ahead of time). We walked in around 5:40 or 5:45 pm, and we were told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait for a table for 2 people. There were several empty tables that were not being used, and it didn't make any sense as there were multiple parties waiting. We observed while we waited, and it just didn't seem like they were very organized in their processes, so in the interest of time, we decided to only order water and main dishes. The only extra item was a side of ranch (more on that later). We probably had our order in by around 6:10, they brought us our water within a couple minutes, and after that, nobody checked in with us for a long time. We watched our server flirt with people at other tables that were ordering a bunch of drinks. The inequality of how some tables were treated far better than others was infuriating. When it was almost 6:40 and we'd waited about 25 minutes without being checked on by anyone, I finally flagged down our server about the status of our food. They said 5 more minutes. During this same interaction, I asked for the check to be brought with the food since we were trying to get to a movie in less than a half hour. Sure enough, the food (jambalaya for me and a mushroom and Swiss burger with sweet potato fries for my wife) and check came around 6:45, but they charged 50 cents for the ranch and didn't bring it out, so we flagged down a random server to bring it out, and they did. We literally ordered one extra thing, and it was pathetic that they didn't bring it out the first time and we were still going to be charged for it. My jambalaya was ok, but it was too small of a portion. I left not feeling very full and also angry with my experience. My wife's sweet potato fries were good, but the burger patty was not seasoned, the mushrooms were bland also, and the cheese was cheap grocery store Swiss rather than artisan like the menu claimed. The bun was also cold and not toasted. We've had similar issues with SoHo over the years, but never this severe. We will not be back. We were so relieved to pay the bill and get out of the noisy, unorganized mess of a place!

A beautifully restored theatre created in the 1920s, that went dormant, and then 20 years ago was brought back to its original magical appeal. All but one of the chandeliers are original. This elegant and captivating setting is a wonderful venue for an assortment of entertainment.

I've been to the Orpheum a few times and have always greatly enjoyed the experience. The last performance I saw was the military's band and choir performance which was absolutely outstanding. The building is very spacious, especially the bathrooms. The ladies restroom is large with good lighting and large mirrors, plus the stalls actually have enough room to maneuver. The incline of the seat rows in the auditorium is pretty decent for seeing the stage. Would recommend. A heads up though: if you bring a bag it must be see-through or they will ask you not to bring it in.

Very nice venue, not incredibly large, but not small either. Seemed to have good views from any seat. Lobby area is definitely crowded for sold out shows, but they had several places to get drinks, so the lines went pretty quick. Cool local bar! Wonderful divey feel. Love the atmosphere and the decoration! Fantastic selection of beer on tap, prices are not expensive. Quick and friendly service. We ordered a pizza and wings - food came out fast. Both were good. Reuben Pizza sounds intriguing, the reason to come back and try it out. See you soon!!

Nice variety of pizzas to choose from. Cauliflower crust is great! Definitely worth a try. Nachos almost too basic. Very meh.. The group of us all agreed they should be revamped. We watched a few college football games there. Good to watch but not listen to games, no sound and music is playing. Still a great place hang out:)

It's a bar. They serve pizza. Out on a road trip and see that they claim 'world famous pizza' and 'one of the best pizzas in town'. I've had pizza in many different States and there is nothing special about the pizza here. It did have a lot of pepperoni, but the flavor was meh. Thin and extra crunchy crust. Our server was very friendly and the place is cool. Outcome...if you go for the drinks, eat the pizza but definitely not worth the time to go for the pizza IMO.

Good pizza and beer. They have a wide variety of local and national beers including five or six local breweries the night we visited. One of the best beer selections in the area. The pizzas are tasty and served on a thin crust. They also offered free popcorn the night that I visited that was a nice option for hungry consumers, whether they were young or old.

Chicken wings restaurant
Buffalo Wild Wings is a popular restaurant that serves a variety of dishes, including wings, tenders, and burgers. They offer a wide range of sauces with varying levels of spiciness. Good news for chicken wing enthusiasts as Buffalo Wild Wings will soon be open! Their crispy wings are known to be delicious and can be enjoyed alongside a refreshing brew. It's an ideal place for a pleasant lunch with your family. The staff is not only professional but also extremely entertaining.
Yesterday (12/14) at noon had lunch here, and everything was good. Had fried pickles as an appetizer and 15 traditional chicken wings (2 different sauces and dry rub). I recommend coming here

The service was pretty decent. The Pepsi was going out and still served to myself and other customers. The fried pickles were undercooked. The wings were simply trash. Ordered 30 wings and over half of them stayed on the tray. Dry rub Lemon pepper wings the chicken was separated from the breading. The sauce on the wings was not covering the entirety of the wing. When asked if we wanted to go boxes we responded with no, should be a dead give away to a quality server that the meal was not that great.

2/8/25: Four out of five times its good service and food. Prices are getting steeper by the day but they do offer some good deals! UPDATE 4/10/25: Went on BOGO night, ordered 15 which is 30 on BOGO. Got there 5 minutes before eta, was told to wait 3 minutes, waited 14 minutes, got the wings and left. Got home to find only 16 of the 30 wings and only 1 ranch. Called back, they apologized, and said I will be getting a full refund.. I won't hold my breathe. Unfortunately, this place has fallen off and I am no longer sure I will be returning, not worth the hassle for average wings. UPDATE 4/16/25: Waited 6 days for my "full refund" and noticed today that I was credited $9 from them.. Not sure why or what math is being used here but this place has officially lost my business. I worked here in 2015 and have been one of the most loyal customer since, but with countless mistakes, raising prices, and decreasing wing sizes, it just isn't worth it. Breaks my heart from years of great food and service but unfortunately that is no longer is the case. RIP. ps. DO NOT USE THEIR APP, I have had my points stolen and information leaked several times!

The food was excellent!! Its a sports bar so it's loud but. Very comfy. Great place to watch the game. Appetizers were on point. It was my first time there and I will definitely be back again!

Food was served sporadically. The delivery of the first meal to the delivery of the last meal, the first meal people were done eating before the last meal was delivered to our table. Some of the food was cold. Would not recommend this place. Our ticket was over $150. For 6 people. Then they couldn’t use our gift cards that was provided to them. Not a good experience.

I love going to Buffalo Wild Wings and have been pretty frequently. This is the only time I have ordered pickup when we got there we were getting a order for my step mom who is pregnant we were getting fifteen wings BONELESS we wanted 10 Asian zing and 4 honey bbq we wanted to do 1 spicy garlic because my step mom wanted to try that flavor, they told us we couldn’t do that and we would have to do 10 Asian zing and 5 honey bbq so we did that. Annoying yes but we understood that it’s not something they do, we then get are order and we check to realize all the wings are bone in and are wing flavors are mixed together and not in separate containers. This was very disappointing because we ordered BONELESS, we went back inside to see if we could get what we ordered and they said we would have to pay for 15 BONELESS wings and basically put a whole new order in and pay twice, we weren’t offered a refund or for them to get are order right instead to spend more money even though it was a mistake on there end. Not sure who checked our bag because there was no name on it when we got it.

The service was top notch. The food was okay. We enjoyed ourselves.
Joshua C — Google review
Ordered extra sauce. Got the wings home, there’s less sauce than normal. Being able to see the breading isn’t very appealing/appetizing. Furthermore, all of our boxes are full of sauce on the outside and makes everything sticky. When brought up to a manager, he dismisses the fact that our order is wrong. States that it is hard to get an order right through a to-go order. If you can’t get orders right, maybe it’s time to find different employees/managers? Their food has really gone down hill, as I see more reviews of wrong orders, no sauce on their wings, or even some of the boneless wings with no meat in them. A few years ago the boneless would be bathing in the sauces!

Fast food restaurant
Jim's Burgers in Sioux City, Iowa is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The menu offers a variety of options including Mexican dishes, burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast items. Customers rave about the combo breakfast burrito which is filled with link sausage, ham, bacon, eggs, and hash browns. The restaurant also serves authentic Mexican cuisine alongside Tex-Mex style dishes. Visitors appreciate the attentive staff and commend the exceptional presentation of their meals.
Each time my son-in-law is in town, we have to eat at one of the Jim's locations. We have yet ordered something that turned out to be average. Great food! Ask about their homemade drinks!

WOW! Jim's delivers a winning combination of mouthwatering hamburgers and top-notch customer service. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again, knowing you’ll be greeted with a smile and served a burger that’s nothing short of perfection. The menu boasts a variety of burgers, each crafted with the finest ingredients: juicy, perfectly seasoned patties nestled in soft, toasted buns, topped with crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, tangy pickles, and gooey melted cheese. Every bite is a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that proves these hamburgers are a cut above the rest. OBTW, our dog Thor thanks you for the yummy, yummy chicken nugget, and the burrito we accidentally left to close to the edge of the kitchen table!

I always try to go to Jim's Burgers when I am in Sioux City. I would get the combo breakfast burrito every day if I could. It has link sausage, ham, bacon, eggs, hash browns... It's full links of sausage, big pieces of ham, lots of bacon... I am getting hungry just thinking about it. The sauce in them is amazing as well. They have tons of other stuff as well. They have burgers, sandwiches, and lots of Mexican as well. Some of the Mexican is more authentic and some is Tex-Mex style. I'd be amazed if someone didn't find something they liked. I mean, they even have corn dogs. That said, I almost always go for the Mexican. 3/7/24 - Was back for another combo breakfast burrito and hash browns recently. As great as ever.

We ordered a few items this morning.. chicken nachos, chef salad, and a burger. We live about 2 mins from this location. I've worked in the food industry. And there's there's some very rude people in out there.. I get it, but the food we ordered. Was just not good. So I tried to call them.. to ask.. I get things aren't always perfect. But the nachos after traveling for about 5min at most. And they arrived warm ish and soggy. The chef salad after eating 3/4ths of it I found a 8inch or so long hair stuck round a piece of ham. The dressing had a very weird cholonge like tinge to it.. not to mention the meat and cheese in it looked like it was taken off of day old sandwiches, I'm not super picky or rude so I attempted to pick it apart and eat it .. but it was just .. off ? Also they refused to do anything about it.. told my dad to get lost basically.. that's one way to treat someone.. 🤢😢

Jim’s Burgers (& breakfast burritos, breakfast platters, pancakes, fried zucchini, cheese curds & absolutely killer chili cheese fries 🍟) is a Sioux City staple with multiple locations. You know those kind of mornings when only a hearty and football sized breakfast burrito will hit the spot? Jim’s is here for you at this location with a convenient drive thru. Today we dined in and enjoyed the classics - hamburgers and fries. Pillowy buns, fresh meat and cheese, pickles, tomatoes and thousand island along with crispy fries. An ice cold Horchata soothes the hanger as well. Haven’t tried the tacos but like most good things in town, you know you’ll be back. 🍔 🌭 🌮 🌯

Always love going here. Steaks are cooked to perfection. The loaded baked potatoes are phenomenal. Lobster tail was cooked just right. Our waitress was very friendly and made us feel like we were her only table.

Went for dinner tonight. Our server was very nice. I ordered my steak well done. I sent my steak back because it was rare. The manager brought my steak out and asked me to cut into it, in case they took it too far…it was then a medium cooked steak. I apologized and told her that I would like it well done. The manager herself brought me the steak, set it down and walked away. I had to get a different server to contact the manager to get her back to our table. She acted surprised when I told her I couldn’t eat that steak because it was so burnt it was too hard to even cut. She offered to have something else brought out, but we had been there an extremely long time and still had a 2 1/2 hour drive home. She said she would take the steak off our bill. I told her I wanted to take some of the chocolate cake home so she sent our server over to take the order. I explained to home I would like 3 pieces of the chocolate layered cake to take home for my children. I never looked in the bag, but when I got home I had 3 brownies with melted ice cream and whatever else that melted stuff is in the other containers. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in this Restaurant. There is a proper way to cook a well done steak, not burnt. I can’t believe the manager would even try to bring anyone a steak that was obviously so burnt. I am not happy that I paid for dessert that wasn’t what I ordered! It was after we left that my husband told me he didn’t think he would get his steak down because his was too rare instead of medium, but wasn’t going to say anything after they cooked mine like they did. So disappointed that these people couldn’t cook or deliver what we ordered. Definitely won’t be wasting any more money at this location!!!!

⭐️ Outback Steakhouse – Sioux City ⭐️ I ordered dinner via Curbside Takeaway, and let me tell you,… the food was SPOT ON, cooked exactly the way I requested! Upon pickup, I was greeted with the warmest pleasantries by a super cheerful gentleman who immediately checked on my order. To my surprise, another young gentleman brought it out right away with a smile. Outback Sioux City, you are the best! Thank you for making my visit so memorable. I’ll definitely be back! 🥩✨

Nicely laid out, well organized. Generally neat but not perfect. This seems bigger than the WALMART IN South Sioux. And less cluttered. A lot of people but I haven't noticed any weird, stinky people. I mean except for me. Because this one is busier than average, they do occasionally run out of stuff. My Sam's Club 2L diet pop, for example. The staff here is somewhat above average: I interacted with the Photo Department several times, and they were fairly helpful. There are three Walmarts equidistant from my home; this is the most comfortable one. I've included some of the prints I've received through the Floyd Blvd Walmart photo department. Decent quality, excellent price.

Shopping in store is fine. However when you get your items from walmart+ be aware its usually 3rd party employees. I have had missing or stolen items so many times. Still this store is better than SSC. But no matter where you get the delivery from they always mess it up or lie and say things are not available but you can drive down to the store and see clearly thats a lie

Yesterday me and my fiancé came to grab some groceries and on our way out the door lady said hello and I answered back with a hello and we continued making our way out she then chased after us shouting which was really embarrassing for us. Today I just got off of work and made my way over there to pick up my fiancees medication, that same woman was at the door. I went to the pharmacy, got her meds, and made my way to the door again. She didn't say anything to me this time but came running after me again. She then stood outside the door and watched me get in my vehicle and leave. I don't know why she has targeted me but me and my fiancé shop there often because it is the closest grocery store to us and this is getting ridiculous that I cannot just go grab medication without being chased out like I've done something wrong. I do not plan on giving this walmart our business ever again.

We ordered a cake for my son’s graduation and they got everything wrong! We wanted the cake to be the same colors as East High School, but when we arrived it was in West High School colors. The cake was a HOT MESS! Another employee apologized and said this is not the first time, this has happened! Since, this is not the first time that this has happened, then people need to be held accountable for their actions! So, we got a refund and made the cake ourselves! DON’T SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT PLACES THAT PROVIDE CRAPPIE SERVICE! I’ve learned my lesson and will never order a cake from them again!

This Walmart needs to have some associate training amd potentially a management review if the associate was speaking the truth. I travel for work and am always in a different place around the world. I hate eating out so I usually go to a local Walmart and get healthier food for my week. I am traveling over 300 days a year so I see alot of Walmarts. I was doing my expense reports and found I had misplaced a reciept from one of my trips. I have to have this report done today and I just arrived in Souix City and needed to shop. I went into the Walmart and stood in line for about 10 minutes waiting for the customer service gal to finish with the one person ahead of me. I used to be a Front end Lead and worked at Walmart so I get the struggle with difficult customers. I was very patient and there was noone in line behind me. It was finally my turn and she asked what I needed. I responded with, "I'm sorry I'm going to be a pain but I have misplaced a reciept from a different location and need it reprinted." This peach replied abruptly with "no we cant!" I said" Yes you can" this is when she replied with a potential management review need She said" our Coach said we aren't allowed to!" I said let me talk to th coach then because that is not only against every policy and customer service protocall Walmart has but it is completely disrespectful the way she acted! There was a team lead behind me by then and she pointed at him and said talk to him. I told him the situation by then I was frustrated and told him what was happening and he said he had no idea how to do it or if it was possible because he hadn't been on the front end in years. Which OK, but if you are a lead you should know how to navigate the systems. I pointed to the computer in the corner that mind you Corperate Walmart has there for many reasons and one is this exact reason! I told him "you get on that computer put in this store location this date and these last 4 digits of my card and it pulls up" he had no clue. The rude girl then said "someone is coming to help you!" Amd she walked away. Soon another gal came and asked what was going on? I explained I needed a reciept and knew what info they needed and had it all. She looked at happy and said dont you know how to look it up? She said "the coach said we aren't allowed to! " the other lady went to the computer I pointed to and the happy girl went over and logged on. The nice lady came to me and I gave her the store number amount date and last 4 and she took the info to Happy and within 30 seconds she had printed the reciept. I then thanked them both multiple times and did my shopping amd spent money in their store too. The girl was horrible the lead needed training amd I assume the nice lady was a coach and she was awesome. The store was stocked well and looked great. It is unfortunate there are some really bad attitudes. It is also unfortunate if it is true that there is a rogue coach not living up to the standard and customer service goals of Walmart. The reason Walmart gets my buisness just like other big box like Home Depot is because of the security of this type of thing. There is no difference in this and returning an item at a different location. Both scenarios are the same and to have a coach have a ridiculous policy like no reprints is essentially the same as no returns from other locations. The system has to pull the reciept from other locations to do returns from purchases from other locations. I am not adding names to this review because I dont need to shame happy but there are multiple people who know exactly who was involved and hopefully training is implemented I will add that ther are locations all over the country where you are greated with smiles and you can feel the culture the management has created when you walk in. My local Walmart has a Coach that is Cancer and you can tell by the faces of the associates when Wendy is in the store as the associates look like if they had a bridge they would jump.......unfortunately this location has the same. No smiles!

Bunch of kids with no training. I was just trying to see about a money order of all things and these teen kids at customer service kept giving me blank stairs in-between their ignoring me until they told me they had no idea what that was so they can't help. They seemed so mind blown that it was a thing and wouldn't even try to see if they can or can not do them etc...

Palmer's Olde Tyme Candy Shoppe, located in an elegant Art Deco-style building on the edge of downtown Sioux City, offers a wide selection of treats with a rich history. Originally a wholesale grocer dating back to 1878, the Palmer Candy Company now houses a museum showcasing its retired candy-making equipment.
While we all may hold some special memories tied to the sweet purchase of some sweets, we may not all have had the chance to visit a genuine candy store. Complete with bins filled with lovely confections, a gleaming case of assorted flavored truffles (sugar free available) and a well stocked specialty food market (spreads, cheese, oils, pasta), Palmer’s Candy has something special waiting as a treat, gift, or just wanting to pick up a little something to make an ordinary occasion a special one. Protip: Elevate your lunch sandwich with some delectable spreads found here: Pepper Peach Jelly and Cinnamon Pear are just a few of the options.

Very cool place for children and their families. Friendly and amazing staff at the launchpad made me and my family feel welcomed. We really love the variety of play areas made available for our kids. Had my son’s 2nd birthday party here and the space offered was perfect for my guests. The staff cleaned my room after the party was over and gave us privacy. I loved that and would recommend this place for little ones to play and have fun

Felt chaotic and we ended up leaving because it was becoming over ran by teenagers. There were lots of cool things but this was our first time and there wasn’t really an explanation or where you could find the water bibs, etc. more fend for yourself. Also saw inappropriate things written in the window paint on the tree house and the tiny city. Very concerning see that. No real oversight or system to keep track of kids. Your child could easily leave with someone and no one would know. I wish there was a check-in/out situation.

Great place for the kids. Your senses will be catered to and the kids amazed at some of the clever ways things work. You will lose track of time so make sure you set analarm if you have to be somewhere. The food and snacks are on the higher side but there is an eating area so pack a lunch. They offer birthday packages too!

This is a small and open children's museum. With that you would think it should be very loud, but the acoustic tiles really managed the sound well. There was no division amongst the activities, making it hard to corral the children and the appropriate toys to a particular space. It loses a star for that. My boys age 5 and 3 had fun. They're was no appropriate space for the baby to crawl around away from the business of the rest of the museum.

My kids love going here! Weekends are pretty busy around 10 and noon. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Great place to bring your kids to learn and have fun playing with a variety of toys!

We always have a great time. I have a 3 and 10 year old and they always love it. It was a busy Friday, a lot going on downtown, and even with lots of families it didn't feel crowded and the kids were all able to enjoy themselves.
Amber M — Google review
This is great! My son actually said he preferred this over the South Dakota children's museum and that is a little bit bigger. Maybe a lot bigger than the space that launch pad is in. However it must have all of the best stuff!

Grandkids had tons of fun here. The activities are very realistic. Everything is also very clean including the bathrooms. Staff is very friendly. I would recommend that your children wear slipper socks the floor is very slick. The prices are also very expensive if I remember right It cost $14 per person. Cost us over $50 for two adults and two children and then we needed a pair of slipper socks for my granddaughter that cost $10 because she kept slipping and falling on the slick floor.

Marto Brewing Co. is a trendy, rustic-industrial venue offering local craft beer and pub grub with outdoor seating. Established in June 2019, this gastropub features a full-service taproom and offers more than 10 wines as well as a variety of sangrias. The menu includes popular dishes such as Bavarian pretzels, street heat wings, wood-fired pizza, Angus sliders, salads, and pasta made with local ingredients whenever possible.
Marto Brewing Company hits all the marks—fantastic beer, amazing salads, and seriously great pizza. Chill vibe, friendly staff, and a perfect stop in downtown Sioux City. Will definitely be back!

First time visitor while passing through. Got the Sweet Dynamite burger with kettle chips. The chips are your typical chips, probably from the bag. The burger on the other hand was fantastic. The jalapeno bacon and onion marmalade was super. Great flavor, texture and spice complimented the burger fantastically, and the pop of fresh jalapeno really brought the whole thing together. For the drink, got a flight of brews. You can pick 4 of your favorites, or wanna try, brews from the menu. A great way to try out some w/out committing to a full beer. I really enjoyed the Steamboat Stout, a nice hint of coffee in there. My only complaint was the table was pretty small. There were four of us, and two of us got flights, then add a few pizzas and my meal, we had to play tetra a bit to get everything to fit w/out falling off. Overall, a fun place, server was great, food was good and the brews were tasty. Check 'em out if you're in the area.

Came across Marto Brewing Co. as we stopped in Sioux City heading West. After a long day of driving we looked for a local establishment with good beer, good food, and good atmosphere, we found it! The food was FANTASTIC! The beer was WOW! The service OUTSTANDING! Viet is a great bartender/server and had some incredible recommendations. Atmosphere is perfect and allows a regular conversation at your table. Highly recommend.

Food was honestly very good! Wasn't sure what we would get with a brewery, but the menu was creative and well thought out. Lots to pick from and the entire menu looked amazing. Definitely get the lamb pops, served perfectly and that goat cheese sauce is amazing. The hummus plate was also delicious and unique! Atmosphere was a little loud, but not bad. Great spot, will be back for sure!

We took the family here because it was within walking distance of the hotel we were staying in. We were able to get in right away on a Saturday evening with 6 of us We also had really great service. Our server was super nice and knowledgeable. I had the beef short rib enchiladas which were amazing. My brother had the fish tacos and the other half of the family shared tWo "create your own" pizzas. The beer selection is great. Something for everyone .

Marto Brewing Co. is hands down one of the best spots in Sioux City. The atmosphere is modern but laid-back, perfect for grabbing a drink with friends or just relaxing solo. Their beer selection is top-notch, creative, well-crafted, and always rotating with new brews to try. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell they care about what they do. Whether you’re a craft beer nerd or just want something refreshing, Marto delivers every time. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Was visiting my brother out here and loving micro breweries I had to check this place out. Definitely, absolutely, this place has a great drink menu. I hardly remember the good food because they have so many options with multiple different sizes of bevy’s that I almost traded my food stomach space for more drank! ( not an alcoholic btw, just and admirer of great libations. Living in Florida for years and trying magnificent seafood, the Shrimp app was surprisingly great for the location we were at. Bro got a steak salad I got some tacos I don’t know remember but those bad boys were gone before I left. But atmosphere was family friendly and the service I may add was exceptional! Nice place in the butt corner of Iowa, check them out well worth it! Tons of options for the whole fam.

Came through on a weeknight for a quick dinner and drinks. There was no wait for a table and we were served fairly quickly. The drink menu is well rounded and offers something for a variety of tastes. The tacos verde caught my eye, and while there were tasty, they were a bit sweet for my liking. A side sauce to add some heat would have really set these things off. Overall a very solid option to catch a meal or some drinks at Marto!

My wife and I bought a very expensive Shark vacuum. It’s a wonderful product. We had it for one week, and realized it was defective. We threw away the box, because we intend to KEEP the product. Unbeknownst to us, Target’s policy is that if you purchase a very expensive item, you cannot… yes, CANNOT return said item without the box. Even if you have proof of purchase. Worst customer service I have ever witnessed. Who would shop here? We spend 400+ on a vacuum and receive a defective product, and cannot exchange for like-kind? Sorry, Walmart it is I suppose. Worst customer service in Sioux City. Save the expensive purchases for Walmart. Target has a strange policy, allegedly, coming from their customer service dept, that they treat everybody who purchases a vacuum as if they stole it — that’s why they cannot exchange the item. That’s COMICAL. Worst customer service in Sioux City, IA if you spend a lot of money on vacuums. As a Real Estate Agent in Sioux City, I will definitely let anybody who is new to the area that Target is not the place to be shopping for any household items. If I recommended this place, I would be embarrassed.

The pharmacist was very helpful today. He educated me about my prescription and let me know how to get a flu shot and a couple other vaccines I could get. Doing some random shopping to use my 2 year old Gift Card and was disappointing that despite excellent customer service, there was no yarn to buy in the entire store. They had everything else in the world but no yarn. They need to sell it, but I understand with a Hobby Lobby across the way it's not necessary. But the Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays so it was slightly inconvenient. I still love you Target and would go back :) 2021, I finally used all my gift card balance here. Huge selection of shirts and things I personally have never seen. Pregnant mannequins and baby and plus size, all ages really. It was kind of neat seeing such a variety of body types and size mannequins.

Youd think that with no one in the store, to the point where the employees can stand around and talk to their friends, that the restrooms wouldnt be so disgusting, would be stocked, and the shelves would be properly stocked. I'm allergic to nuts but almost accidentally bought the peanutbutter cup moostracks because they were stocked where the peanut free moose tracks should be.

Will never do business here again. Adam, a manager lied right to me. Purchased 2 swimsuits online for $120. They wouldnt return them even within 30 days as it was purchased through Target Plus. Told us no refund or in-store credit. They lost my business and my entire families. I spoke with Adam on the phone and he promised in-store credit. Drove 80 miles and he lied. They wouldn't give a refund OR in-store credit even with ID and receipts. They will never get a dime of my money again

It’s an excellent place for shopping and very convenient. The only thing I don’t like about this location is that whenever I go shopping for Kpop albums, they are always open with all the goodies stolen. I always let their employees know it’s been stolen, but it always happens. If they had locked all their Kpop albums, this could have been prevented, and it would prevent them from losing money. Please close all the Kpop albums!!!

Tacos El Guero is a delightful gem nestled in Sioux City, known for its authentic Mexican cuisine that captures the essence of traditional flavors. This eatery specializes in mouthwatering tacos and enchiladas, alongside other beloved staples like guacamole. Located conveniently near the Pearl Street district, it’s an ideal stop for a satisfying meal after a day at the nearby casino. The menu features unique offerings such as Cuban-inspired tortas and popular shrimp tacos that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.
This may be the best taco salad I have ever eaten. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. We ordered at the counter and they brought our food to the table for us. It was fresh and hot. The restaurant is small with few tables, but there was seating at the counter. I thought the price was fair for the quality we received. We stayed at Stoney Creek Hotel and had about a seven minute walk to get there. I did notice parking meters along the street if you want to drive it. It was contactless pay. I will definitely return when I come back through Sioux City.

Lady on the phone was friendly.. But entering the building was not greeted, and the atmosphere was not welcoming.. nacho fries with asada $9.50 a bit bland for me and not filling, portion is a bit small for the price. The xxl red birria burrito 🌯 just by itself $14.50, was ok not wow factor.. so the reviews are pretty spot on. But i will advise to pay with cash. You will be charged to pay with a card and the atm has a fee..the service was fast, order was ready for pick up on arriving.. but dont expect a thank you

This has become my new favorite place to get Mexican food. I would do 5 stars for all, but the last 2 times I went, the queso dip is watery and has no flavor. The first time I ate there, it was amazing, so I know it's not always watery. I'm just disappointed spending money on watered-down dip. The salsa is super good, the hot sauces green and red are good. My go-to is the Asada burrito or the birria burrito. I also did not like the horchata. It seemed like the horchata mix that comes in a bag, I've had really good horchata at other Mexican restaurants, and this one wasn't really good. The queso and horchata isn't going to stop me from going there because everything else I've had so far has been super amazing, like I said, it's becoming one of my favorite places to eat.

We were in town for college orientation and found this place. Brianna, the host/waitress was very nice and helpful! It's a small restaurant and that is more for deliveries and grab and go but you can eat there too! We decided to eat there since it was just me and my husband. We had asada, birria and pastor tacos, chips and salsa and drinks:) we each got 5 tacos, a drink and shared chips and salsa. We spent less then $40 which I thought was good. The place is really cute, clean and had a good vibe. Brianna was very nice and helpful. Food was so good and priced just right!! We will be back here when we visit our son!!

The food was decent, so I can't rate it too low overall, because that's the most important in my eyes. It was around $8.50 for three chicken tacos, adding sour cream. A few things to note, though: -My chicken tacos didn't really look like chicken, as you can see. Not entirely sure it even was. They tasted good, though! -They aren't open for dine-in, which is silly to me. The dining area is very small anyway, not sure what the big deal is. Being downtown where a lot of people walk in for a quick lunch from work, this would be an expectation if it were me walking in. -They weren't rude, but weren't super friendly or talkative either. They were more interested in talking with each other, instead of the guests that were standing there. Not the end of the world, but not outstanding customer service. -They wanted $2.50 for a can of soda. Say what?!?

Wow, the steak frites was so delicious that I almost went back in the morning to order it again for breakfast! Steak was fresh, cooked to medium like I ordered and was accompanied with cheese covered potatoes that were outstanding. If I drive through town again, I will make a point to get the same dish again!

The name and theme of this restaurant was so cute. Apparently there were really diving Elk in the area. There was an article from a magazine dated in the early 1900s proving this to be legit. The food was good. I liked the uniqueness of the hamburger and potatoes that I tried. The menu seemed possible a little limited but I think I’d like to try the steak.

This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Sioux City. Behind the bar and they are making the best cocktails in all of the region and offer a great assortment of craft beer. However, if you are looking for a bush light or something like that, you may be disappointed. However, the staff can make sure to give you good recommendations. The food is equally delicious. What I appreciate most about it is that the menu isn’t extensive because everything they do is done well and they are intentional with the ingredients. Some absolute favorites of mine would be the brussels sprouts and the truffle fries. The steamed buns are to die for. Their Smashburger is messy, but worth it. Finally, don’t sleep on their salads. They are tasty as well, and if you add a steak to it, you are getting a great meal for a good price. oh and how can I forget the desserts. They are great, but I rarely have room for them. Their staff is very knowledgeable about the great cocktails and are happy to help if you have questions. The atmosphere overall is inviting. I would say it’s a nicer place, but it’s not pretentious. Maybe a little rustic, but not country. Probably the best description for it would be comfortable and casual. Check it out! Cheers.

First off, to satisfy any curiosity on the name of this place, If you Google “Famous Diving Elk Sioux City”, you’ll find plenty to read up on it. Skip to the next paragraph if this part doesn’t interest you, and you want to know specifically about the place and experience. Basically, back in the early 1900’s a local Sioux City resident named W.H. Barnes was mystified how Elk would jump over anything in their way. So he trained some elk to start walking up a ramp he built. Over time, he systematically increased the height of the ramp in increments, while they continued to run the routine. Ultimately, by 1903 the ramp topped off at 40ft. Due to its height, he had a 16ft tub 6ft deep for them to land into. Hence, the diving elk. Google it up for more history. On to the review itself. Place is located in the historical district, and the building inside and out has proper decor to fit right in. It’s a bar and grill, but classy and homey as well. Service was good. The waitress stayed on top of things. The place wasn’t too loud from people talking/yelling, nor did they have blaring music. I personally don’t really care to go eat at a place where you can’t socialize within your table, because all the conversations have turned into yelling over each other or yelling over the music. There’s a place for those atmospheres, but to me, it’s just not over the dinner table is all. That issue wasn’t present here, which was much preferred. Food was actually quite good. We got the chicken enchiladas and the house burger. We both liked what we got quite well, and we both would order the same thing again. That’s always a good sign, as you can return to try something else, and know if that didn’t satisfy your pallet, then you have something you know you can return to for a meal. Pricing was also reasonable for what you are getting. I’ve only been here this one time, and I would not hesitate to try it again sometime. When the service, atmosphere, food & pricing are all in a good place, that will bring the people back.
Cmlarvick — Google review
Stepping into the Diving Elk, you feel sophisticated. This gem is one of Sioux City's best as far as restaurants and bars go in the area with an evolving, seasonal menu that will make you want to try something new every time you visit! Don't sleep on the classics like the truffle fries and brussel sprouts though, there's a reason those always stay. Also try out their weekend specials! After your visit, you'll know why this place consistently has a "Siouxland's Best Bar Tender" nominee. They are experts in their craft with an incredible selection of cocktails and craft beers. Sioux City is lucky to have such a trendy, vibrant spot for the foodies out here.

Chinese restaurant
Panda Express is a popular fast-food chain that offers a taste of Americanized Chinese cuisine, making it an appealing choice for those craving Asian flavors. Despite some mixed reviews, my recent visit on a Sunday around 11:30 AM turned out to be quite pleasant. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly during my meal. I found the food to be warm and fresh, with no shortages in sight.
I was a bit hesitant to try this place since I read a lot of reviews I didn’t care for. However, I was in the neighborhood and craving something Asian, so I decided to give it a whirl. I must have come at about a prime time, because my experience was pretty good. For the record, it was on a Sunday about 11:30AM or so. Anyhow, staff was friendly and helpful, and no one seemed to be acting out of line, as I’ve read can happen here. Food was also warm and fresh, and didn’t appear that they were out of anything. Place was clean over all (granted, they probably just opened for the day). I dined in, and there were others that followed, and I didn’t notice any difference in the staff from what I experienced when others were ordering, nor from what I could hear from drive thru. There are enough people with complaints against the same issues, so I’m fairly confident there have been consistent issues here and need for improvement, but the above is my honest review from my visit, and it was a decent one. I’ll be back at some point I’m sure, and can always update and/or write another if things are different at that point. But for today, it was pretty good over all.

Ordered through Uber eats, as I am here on business. As another poster stated, I basically paid for noodles. The chicken was almost non-existent, and they were tiny pieces. I felt like I got the bottom of the bowl. Do better with quality control.

Very disappointed in the service I received at this Panda Express today. I waited for almost 15 minutes before someone decided to ask me if I had been helped yet. Told her no and she ask what I wanted?. Without even once saying sorry for your wait. I know the whole time they seen me standing there. There was even a gentleman over by the drink station waiting and was asked if he had been helped and he said no and that he had been waiting about 25 minutes before anyone even asked him. This is really sad. The customer in the store should be assisted before the online orders or drive through is even taken. So it seems to me that this place is more about production rather than customer service. Need someone to be able to manage these employees. Looked like total chaos.

Went in there to order they had no chow mein left it was cabbage at the bottom and maybe a couple couple of noodles we asked the young lady for fresh chow mein. She scooped a half a scoop of chow mein and everything else after that was Half scoops. as for beef and broccoli, we got broccoli, no beef And the juice from the bottom of the Pan that it was in my suggestion if she’s there serving you ask for somebody else.

the food is pretty good i will say, but this is the 5th time within the last 6 months that they forgot something with my order. everytime i call to let them know, without hesitation they go “ok sorry, you’ll get a free bowl next time you come through”. why can’t you just do my order right?? this place is always filled with a ton of workers, yet all of them are incompetent? this seriously should not be a huge issue. sure mistakes happen, but forgetting an entire plate of food or a side? i usually do check my food, but i don’t wanna be the asshole to hold up a line to look through all my food to make sure they actually did their job right.

The food tastes great, my only problem and major major MAJOR problem is .. Menu is out of almost everything 3/4 of the time I visit (even during non lunch hours with slow customer traffic) The portions are 95% rice and veggies and 5% meat for any dish with veggies Do they not look at the plate before it's sent out or do they expect someone not to come in and ask? Truly disappointed... not sure if someone takes the meat out of the dish and save it for later before giving it to the customer since it is already paid for or what is going on but my meat portions have been disappearing.. This is one out of many trips and thought I would post because I will not judge the establishment on 2 times it happened.. they could have been a very busy day .. okay...sometimes it happens but 8 times in a row is a bit too excessive !! Truly dissatisfied **UpdateJuly 2025 — this is all the meat I received today and they charge extra for this type of meat. 🤦🏻 what a let down today and NO I DID NOT EAT BEFORE TAKING THE PICTURE. THIS IS THE ACTUAL PORTION. It takes me 25 minutes to get there so no I did not go back. Calling will not get me my paid for portion. Picture works better.

I arrived and the one of the employees wasn’t even in uniform the lady not in uniform was very rude sub bread looked like crap but decided okay just order so I ordered my first sub and the rude lady made it then went and did veggies for the people in front of me I was okay with that she got done with the people in front of me and asked me what I wanted in my sub, I told her I need one more she threw attitude and said what do you want me just keeping calm wanting my food told her she had an attitude the whole time. Got my veggies on my sub and she threw all the veggies in the center of my sub. I had 3 tomatoes on my 12 in sub but was completely over my experience with her I said whatever. Well then I did the unthinkable. I asked for my sauces on the side she then told me under new management they can’t do that. Weird all states and subways I’ve been too never an issue. The other girl working (very sweet) (very kind) told the lady we do it at my store(she was just helping this store out) never been an issue. The rude lady then put very little sauce in the cups for me. The lady that had been kind looked at the amount of sauce in the cups and looked at me embarrassed I look at the cups and there was barely a tablespoon of sauce in the cups. The very kind lady then filled my sauce cups up and apologized to me. Moral of this is one employee made the entire store terrible. No uniform, rude, impatient and all around just hateful.

I am Karla's Husband Rick I did it under the app on her phone A girl named Gabby received our order of 3 footlongs, we had 2 identical which were made correctly but on my wife's sandwich and much to our surprise the meat wasn't on it. How do you read a printed out detailed sandwich order that is step by step and omit the meat on only 1 of the sandwich. The we tried calling for 25 minutes with no one answering. Then finally Gabby herself answered and was very short and rude. Extremely poor customer service. Then she stated if the sandwich isn't touched we could bring it back and she'd make a new one. No consideration for the inconvenience of having to drive back to Subway for a sandwich made correctly. Not to mention that we all ate, while my wife didn't. Due to a Subway's employees inability to make a simple sandwich correctly. My wife was so upset and fearful that they'd do something to her sandwich that she decided no sandwich. Sad that she paid for a dinner she didn't get to eat. Subway in my opinion needs to teach that employee customer service and how to properly handle a mistake. It would have been nice if she had thought about the inconvenience and possibly considered other options. We won't be ordering from The Hamilton Blvd Subway in Sioux City Iowa ever again. I would have given negative stars if it was an option. Unhappy customer Rick

The workers were nice. Store was filthy and my motorcycle broke down. Asked the worker if I could park it and he was understanding and said he had to call the owner. The owner said it would be towed if I didn’t move it from the parking lot. I understand if I left a junked vehicle in their lot why they would want to tow it. I just finished spending money there and asked to leave it until the morning when I could pick it up and the owner still said no. So, terrible owner and good employee. This was at 515 pm and I was able to move it into a spot. So, thanks for being a terrible human being to whomever the owner is!

My spicy Italian sub was very tasty with a lot of meat, but the bread was so hard I could hardly eat it. The top crust was hard as a rock and the associate should’ve been able to tell that when he took it out of the warmer.

I would give 0 stars if I could . I got the meal of the day on flat bread with 2 cookies & got home the cookies were as hard as a rock (I live 3 mins away) called to see if I can get an exchange of 2 cookies or chips and the employee said the OWNER SAID ITS NOTHING THEY CAN DO & the employee had a nasty attitude insisting “idk I just got here”. Day 3

Northwest side of town
For day 3, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar (Hilton Garden Inn - Sioux City), then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Kahill's Chophouse. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar, located in the Hilton Garden Inn in Sioux City, is a vibrant and modern restaurant offering a diverse selection of American dishes and sushi. This upscale eatery stands out for its extensive plant-based and gluten-sensitive menu, featuring 21 vegetarian options from appetizers to entrees. A highlight is the vegan CRAVE roll, a visually appealing sushi dish packed with fresh vegetables.
Staying at Hilton Gardens and had cocktails and dinner at Crave tonight. Sat outside looking over the riverfront. Started with drinks- Angry Dragon Martini, Raspberry Ginger Gimblet and Crave Smoked Manhattan. All really good. Spinach Artichoke Dip, Sausage Ricotta Flatbread, Truffle Fries, Steak Frites, Tuna Poke Bowl, Truffle Mushroom Spaghetti and Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce. All the options were generous portions and delicious. We had the nicest server. I think she was fairly new, but she took such good care of us. Thank you!

This is a very nice restaurant located next to a hotel. The menu was diverse, great selection, everything fresh, and plenty of sushi choices. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, which is refreshing, the food portions were very generous, and the sushi was simply amazing. They do have happy hours every day on drinks and sushi, so if you're looking for an affordable menu, that would be your best option. It certainly is worth the drive and I wish they were near as I would try every sushi menu item they have 🍣 !

We stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn and were able to walk through the corridor to the restaurant. You also can enter through the main door of the restaurant without going through the hotel. The views are beautiful of the river. We sampled some of their appetizers and shared a dessert. Everything was beautifully plated and tasted just as lovely. We will be coming again. Came to this restaurant with a pretty large group (seven people). We made a reservation ahead of time so they were able to seat us within a few minutes of us arriving. Service was alright — friendly, but not very detail-oriented. They gave us one drink menu and one restaurant week menu despite the relatively large number of people in our party. There were plenty of food options, ranging from sushi, salads, and poke bowls to burgers, pasta, and steak. Portion sizes were large both for appetizers and entrees. Presentation was good. The food itself was alright. Nothing too adventurous or unique, but still generally satisfying. I tried the tiramisu for dessert. It was from the restaurant week menu, so it was smaller than it would be if we’d ordered it from the normal menu, but it was literally four bites. It was so delicious, though. The drink menu was relatively extensive, with some fun cocktail options and plenty of mocktail options. I tried the prohibition tonic mocktail and it was light and refreshing. In terms of vibe/ambiance/aesthetic, this place was alright. The restaurant itself does quite a bit to make it feel like a more high end dining experience, but it’s unfortunately diminished by the fact that most people were there in very casual clothes, like sweats. We ate inside, but the restaurant has an absolutely beautiful view of the river and I would definitely recommend requesting patio seating if the weather is good.

OK… I’m not really sure where I should begin to tell you all the reasons why I think Crave is one of the best restaurants in Sioux City. Its location is pretty great. It is on the river with a beautiful view, patio when it’s nice, floor to ceiling windows when it’s not, ample parking, connected to a hotel, and not difficult to find. The staff is friendly and professional, the menu is extensive, and not only has great sushi, but also fabulous entrées, if seafood isn’t your thing. I also appreciate that they have an entire gluten-free menu, vegetarian options, and a mocktail list to go with their fabulous cocktails. I’m not even going to try to tell you all the different food you should try here because it depends on your tastes and there’s plenty to choose from. However, there’s smoked Manhattan (pictured here) is pretty exceptional. I actually like getting it without the smoke, but if you like a smoky cocktail, the presentation is fabulous. It’s a little spendy, but the ingredients are superb. Oh and did I mention that they have a happy hour…

Met friends for lunch on a Sunday. Had reservations so seated quickly. Requested a high top so we were seated in the bar area. Decor was super pretty. I bet the riverside patio is amazing during warmer weather. Bright colors, fresh flowers, open kitchen and sushi prep area. Restrooms huge and clean. Plenty of parking. All 4 of us ordered different things and loved them all. Wagyu meatballs, pink panther roll, Ceasars salad, lobster bisque, and another sushi roll I don't remember the name of. All of it delicious! Our service was slow and poor. Sorry, that's just the truth. I don't know if it was all new staff or confusion on who we belonged to or what. It was not busy in the restaurant. But the food.....so good. Bill was $207 for 4 people which included several beverages and dessert. Pricier than our norm, but a treat is okay once in a while! Especially for good food.

Located in Sioux City, Iowa, the Sergeant Floyd River Museum is a unique attraction that offers visitors a glimpse into the history of the Missouri River. Housed in a dry-docked boat, this museum and welcome center showcases exhibits on Native American history and culture, fur trapping, the Lewis & Clark Expedition, and steamboats that once navigated the river.
This is a great and very unique type of history museum. The museum itself is contained in an old historic river boat. The museum is owned by the city, so admission is free. You not only get to see the actual living and working quarters of this boat, but they have many great dioramas, artifacts, and exhibits throughout the museum. I highly recommend visiting.

The Sergeant Floyd River Museum in Sioux City really surprised me—in a good way. It’s a small museum, but it’s packed with rich history and everything is super well preserved. What makes it even better? It’s completely free! The museum is inside an old towboat, which already makes the visit unique, and walking through it feels like stepping back in time. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which added to the whole experience. If you're around Sioux City and enjoy learning a bit of history in a chill, friendly setting, this is definitely a spot worth checking out.

What a fun experience! It was fun to see the insides of the boat and we asked the lady at the desk to tell us about the process it took to move the boat to its current location. So many cranes! There is a very extensive gift shop with all kinds of cool souvenirs. The boat has three stories and you can even ring the bell at the top.

A great museum that happens to be free that shows history about Sergeant Floyd, the riverboat, other boats, ships, native Americans and the areas history. Very educational and interesting. Hands on displays up top where you steer the boat, kids got to ring the bell. We all enjoyed our time at the museum, nice gift shop with an area for info on other attractions in and around the state.

The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center offers an immersive experience with interactive exhibits that delve into the famous expedition's journey from July to September 1804. Situated in Sioux City, this attraction is conveniently located near various other points of interest such as the Tyson Events Center, Orpheum Theatre, and Sergeant Floyd Welcome Center. Visitors can unwind at nearby hotels offering deluxe accommodations and special amenities after a day of exploration.
This Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is a great place to learn about all the historical events around the Lewis and Clark expedition. Admission is free, which is always great. They have tons of great exhibits and historical artifacts contained within the museum. Outside the building are some great bronze statues as well.

This museum is wonderful and Amanda ( one of the staff ) was so friendly and informative. She managed to get my pre teen interested! The gift shop staff are amazing. The exhibit and the connection to the local culture were exciting. The outdoor sculptures and garden had my daughter and myself enthusiastic. We had a wonderful time!

Very cool, free, educational place! Helpful volunteers. Definitely kid friendly, which is nice for when parents want to take a little longer looking at the exhibits. They had a scavenger hunt for the kids to look for, as well as a free passport stamp type booklet. Animated statues that told the stories of their explorers.

Well, I only attended a presentation by a native American dance troupe. But the center had a grassy area with lots of room, extra chairs for those who forgot theirs, and a fine stage area. The stage and seating area felt wheelchair accessible. I had my walker and got around fine. The exhibition was free to attend, with a donation box available. Everything was maintained to perfection. This place was just opening when I left Sioux City more than 20 years ago. From the outside where I was, the darn place looks like it had its grand opening a week ago! Should I check out the inside LOL? Probably.

This place was fantastic! So much more informative than some of the other L&C places (maybe we haven’t been to most?). Anyway, this had a LOT of exhibits and explanations of why, where, and what happened during the journey. Nice layout inside with “talking” men telling us about their journey. There was a terrific statue outside that really was dramatic.

Kahill's Chophouse is a popular and upscale restaurant located in Sioux City, Iowa. It offers a contemporary interior and stunning views of the River Missouri, making it an ideal spot for special occasions with friends, family, or colleagues. The restaurant serves gourmet American cuisine and cocktails for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Customers can enjoy dishes like the Fried Egg Sandwich for breakfast or the BBQ Brisket Burger for lunch.
Had to try the Nashville oysters because they sounded interesting. The presentation of the oysters was above expectations. The taste even though I am not a fan of mayo or miracle whip was well above expectations. I look forward to trying their steak in the next day or two. Update decided to come in and try a steak. Went with the bison steak. Texture is soft and delicious. Could use a little more seasoning but the flavor wasn't over barely but could use a little more. Presentation was on every points.

First time guests from out of town. There were no indicators, labels or signs to tell us where to go or where the restaurant was, quiet lost. Beautiful view over looking the mighty mo. Very clean restaurant. Service was wonderful. Shayla gave lovely recommendations. Staff seemed to work well together. Drinks were good, nothing great. Not much of a cocktail menu. We started with the oysters, great starter size. Warm bread in between our app and entree. The house peach compote was delicious! Everything came out in a timely manner. My steak was slightly overdone although very tender. Sides came separately, so that was also a slight downside. The hash brown were crispy and large enough to share. Dessert was taken care of for our anniversary so that was quite special as well. Overall great experience.

We recently celebrated my parents’ golden anniversary with the brunch buffet at Kahill’s, and the restaurant went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention went into every detail. Our table overlooked the river and was dressed in elegant gold linens that set the perfect tone. To our surprise, the team had even prepared custom fruit bouquets, as beautiful as they were delicious. Our waiter, James, handled every request with grace and patience, no small feat with all the little ones in tow. The food was nothing short of incredible, truly some of the best I’ve eaten, and I’ve dined at many great places. From the moist and fluffy Belgium waffles with a full toppings bar to the perfectly seasoned fried chicken with biscuits and gravy, and to top it off, tender, juicy prime rib. Every bite was memorable. And they didn’t forget the kids! Our little ones were thrilled with their colorful Fruity Pebble pancakes, which made them feel just as celebrated as the adults. The entire family was captivated not just by the food, but by the hospitality and attention to detail that turned this into more than just a dinner, it was a celebration worthy of 50 years together. Thank you, Kahill’s, and the entire team, for making this milestone so meaningful and special.

This restaurant offers three distinct experiences. The ambiance is exceptional, and the panoramic views are breathtaking throughout the year. The evening fireplaces significantly enhance the dining experience. The bartenders were highly professional and knowledgeable, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable service without any waiting time. However, I encountered some challenges with the food. While a few breakfasts and dinners were satisfactory, others were not. The meat was excessively salted, which detracted from the overall taste.

We stayed at the hotel where this restaurant is located and had wonderful customer service from all the staff. For Breakfast we had Latisha and she was so incredibly kind. She even hand wrote us a list of places to visit in the area. Lucas was also very attentive and helpful. It’s hard to find amazing service these days.. I am at the point that regardless if the cuisine isn’t the best, if the service is amazing, that will make the experience top notch. The granola parfait for breakfast was excellent, charcuterie board for starters was incredible and the ahi tuna entree for dinner was delightful. This staff is attentive, kind and they all work very hard.

It was very helpful to have someone with personal knowledge giving us recommendations. The hotel was clean had a beautiful view and all the staff were amazing friendly and helpful. We took my sister and her husband to special birthday dinner, as she and I had not been there for 50 years together, back when it was originally Marine Inn. Had a beautiful experience in lounge before we were seated for dinner. Had very nice table along the river at the window. The experience went down hill from there due to our waiter. Did not get his name as he didn't give it after waiting forever for him to acknowledge and greet us. He was rude, did not have the answers to any of our questions, and kept us waiting far to long in between a couple stops at the table. He dropped silverware as picking up plates and just left them scattered on table. From start to finish we could not believe how rude and inattentive he was. We were quite embarrassed in front of our guests that we took them to a restaurant with those prices and had a less than par experience. I did write a very nice hand written note to manager the next day so they could be aware of how their employee made us feel but here over a month later, no response, or understanding apologies. As stated earlier, the lounge experience was the best!

Horizon Family Restaurant in Sioux City, Iowa, is a beloved eatery with a nostalgic diner atmosphere. It's a popular spot for families and friends to enjoy delicious breakfast dishes like fluffy pancakes, waffles, French toast, and omelets. The restaurant also offers savory options like the Hot Turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy that's reminiscent of Thanksgiving dinner. With fast service in a cozy mom-and-pop setting, Horizon Family Restaurant is known for its good food at reasonable prices.
So. Much. Food!!!! Every time I come here I have yet to be disappointed. The food is amazing, I have yet to completely finish my plate. The atmosphere and decor remind me of 70’s and 80’s diners back in the day. Warm, kind servers and an environment perfect for conversation without a lot of distractions.

So first and foremost, I guess I may need to apologize. I’m not from here. I travel for work and I love little cafés so I can get home-cooked meals unfortunately this was not the case I come in today 8-14-2025 11am I sat down and honestly was pretty excited about having a salad bar and also ordered chicken soup that I guess came with it. And I ordered a hamburger steak. Unfortunately, the lettuce was brown, inedible, so I decided I would try just some macaroni salad to go with my hamburger steak in both versions that I tried had a curious taste to them and the hamburger steak wasn’t the best but the mashed potatoes was actually pretty good. So at this point I’m looking for another restaurant to go actually have a good meal. I hope because I don’t eat fast food. And by the way, I was asked when I was checking out how everything was so I responded with. Do you want the truth or do you want me to lie and I told her exactly what it was with all respect of course. I feel like most restaurants would do what it took to make it right however, not this one I paid for a meal I barely could eat, now I’m on the hunt for an actual meal that will be s suitable.
Jerry R — Google review
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a while and always enjoyed it — until today. The menu clearly states that the Eggs Benedict comes with your choice of toast or pancakes for $14.99. I asked for pancakes instead of toast, but when the bill came, I was charged an additional $3.50. When I asked, the waitress (who also claimed to be the manager) said that because Eggs Benedict is served on an English muffin, I wasn’t eligible for toast or pancakes. That’s not what the menu says, and it felt like a made-up excuse to pad the bill. Photos of the menu and receipt are attached for reference. I’ve worked in food service. I understand how tough the job is. I usually tip 20% or more for good service. But this felt dishonest and manipulative — especially because the charge wasn’t disclosed until the check came. It also makes me question whether this kind of “policy” gets applied inconsistently based on assumptions about who will speak up. I hope the owners see this, because I used to love coming here. Now I won’t be back. By the way? Iowa Consumer Fraud Act (Iowa Code §714.16) prohibits: • Deceptive or misleading advertising • Bait-and-switch practices • Failure to honor listed prices or terms Menus are not binding contracts in the legal sense, but they do function as advertised representations. If you are led to believe something is included and it’s not — especially with a charge added after the fact — that can rise to consumer fraud or deceptive trade practices. Ask yourself how you know that it’s just a mistake, and not price profiling based on your appearance or your membership in a protected group.

We were in from out of town for a concert - this is a sweet little hole in the wall we just wanted to grab grub at on the way out. Basic breakfast but very good. Coffee was okay. Everyone was friendly and service was fairly prompt considering how busy they were. Will be returning next time!

I ordered the western BBQ burger with fries, mom ordered fish filet with cauliflower soup. The burger and fries were amazing, the fish was dry and stringy, and the soup was warm. Serving sizes were good. The atmosphere was utter melancholy, though the service was friendly. Average price for a meal of its style. Decent place for a filling meal.

First off my family is Greek. So we know Gyros. So at first I was offended that they deep fried the pita on the crispy Gyro but after reading reviews it seemed like they knew what they were doing so I took a gamble and ordered it. And I was blown away like the twin towers. It felt like when I had my first kiss. The way the crispy pita transformed the what I knew about gyros just like how the good Lord Jesus Christ has transformed my life. Worth the stop. I’ll be back and will bring the whole οικογένεια.

This is just a heads up to management at South Sioux City Greek to Me: The gal taking my order had great energy, a bright and positive demeanor. Loved that so many boys playing basketball& being respectful . This is the model park many should take a example of ... So many children where smiling and laughing we couldn't help but feel that joy in our hearts. Thank you for a wonderful day. P.s all of it was Free .. Another blessing

Italian restaurant
Trattoria Fresco, located on 4th Street, offers a cozy, old-world atmosphere where you can enjoy Italian classics and daily specials. The restaurant is known for its authentic Italian meals made with high-quality ingredients that provide a true taste of Italy. With generous portion sizes, it's an ideal spot for families or groups to share. Customers praise the friendly service and romantic ambiance.
This was our first time here and it was such a cute and cozy restaurant. Our waiter was so kind and helpful. I ordered a classic Lasagna and my partner ordered the rigatoni al Pastor and we both loved our meals! We shared a Caesar salad which was more than enough for the 2 of us.
Natalia M — Google review
I had the chicken Alfredo and my partner had a light tomato based dish with shrimp in it. Multiple staff members greeted us very well and were kind and refreshing when we walked in. The atmosphere was unique. The bread was delicious, but we had to wait a bit longer than we had hoped to get more. The portions of our food were very generous. However, the price for the food was too high based on the flavor of our dishes. The Alfredo was bland, despite there being a lot of sauce, which I appreciated. The chicken was delicious with a light lemon flavor which complimented the Alfredo perfectly and wasn’t dry. There wasn’t much chicken though, which was a bit disappointing. My partner’s dish was light and fragrant but only had one real taste - a hint of a tomato taste + water (for a multi-dimensional dish you expect there to be more than one flavor.) We wanted to love our food, but it was too expensive for what it was. The best part was the bread and butter and the staff. My partner would not come back, but I would give them another chance.

I cannot give this place any higher rating due to the fact it stops at 5 stars. The food is delicious. The waiters are amazing. They are so friendly right when you enter the establishment. Always making sure everything is up to your standards. They don't rush you when your ordering either. Now the food is absolutely wonderful I have been here three times with my wife and kids. Every time the food has gotten better and better. I have two young children and they are picky eaters bit they ate their whole plate of spaghetti and meat ball's. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants delicious food. The price of the food is well worth it in my honest opinion I'm happy to pay it every time because when we leave we always have a smile on our faces and a full belly plus food to take home because the portions are HUGE.

Delicious lasagna, great portion size, and a nice price. Love this place. July 2025 update: the food was still good, but the place itself is in need of some renovations. The A/C was out when we visited, the ceiling tiles are noticeably dirty, and the trim work needs fixes and paint touchups.

Great place to sit and eat. I brought my wife and 11 month old son here to eat. They didnt have a kids menu but had no issue making something kid friendly for my baby. The server recommended us amazing plates and I had a glass of Moscato. Such a great experience. This was my first time coming here and I loved it so much

Very good local Italian place. Although I know plenty would be fond of my main course, it was very very tomato based, which I’m not a fan of. However, it was still pretty good. Someone who likes a heavy base of tomatoes would like it even more. Fresh bread and real butter was good and kept coming. Salad was quite flavorful and good. The lemon cake was suggested for desert, which I accepted as a choice. It was good, but I think I’d enjoy something else as much or more, even though it was quite good. Staff is friendly and conversational. They stay attentive to your table. Something I’d be interested in going back again to see what else they may have that I’d maybe even like better. I’m comfortable believing there are more really good things to try, so will be looking forward to another visit.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. The service was very good. I had the stuffed pork chop and my wife had the chicken Florentine. The pork chop was stuffed with spinach and cheese. The pork chop with the spinach was too salty for my taste. The chicken Florentine sauce was also too salty. The sauce for both dishes, had either been overheated or something, because both sauces had separated when they were on the plate. The flavor to both dishes was good. Other than being a little salty. The dumplings were great. The tiramisu was OK. It wasn’t the best I had but it wasn’t the worst that I had either, the price is at this restaurant or pretty standard for what food cost today. The stuffed pork chop, the chicken, Florentine, and tiramisu was just under $55. The parking was street parking. And 5 PM you no longer have to pay for the meter.

Probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. I don’t know how people give this any less than 5 stars. Service was tremendous. It’s a quieter place but it doesn’t diminish anything else in my opinion. Wait staff was super friendly. Only thing I would change is maybe having one more Cabernet on the menu, but it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Vodka penne or Arriabiata sauce. Can’t wait to try it again next time I’m in town. It’s a shame this isn’t in a bigger city but it’s such a hidden gem where it’s at.

Specialty Museums
Sioux City Public Museum is a hub for local and regional history, featuring interactive displays such as a replica fossil dig. Located in the city's historic core, it offers large colorful permanent exhibits, temporary displays, and an orientation film at the 'Corn Palace theatre.' The museum also houses a Research Center and Archives for in-depth exploration of Sioux City's history. Visitors can enjoy various interactive exhibits including 'The Big Dig,' recreating a fossil excavation site.
Nice museum with history of the city, and plenty of exhibits. Among the exhibits are the world's first Corn Palace which predates the one in Mitchell, S.D., an airplane, a paver, various delivery vehicles, immigration to the area, the beef industry, various Native American exhibits, paraphenalia from Sioux City's local rock star that played with Deep Purple, The James Gang, et al bands, various local industries, and also had a movie about the city's history in a wrap around theater. Also has a dinosaur fossil dig that is cool, and a room with gemstones such as exquisite agates, quartz, etc.
Dancing D — Google review
Great permanent history exhibits. Open space. The dinosaur exhibit was very cool. We were disappointed that there was not more dino exhibit specific merchandise in the gift shop. Pretty cool that a Sioux City Native found a new species of dinosaur!

I am glad that I happened to be in town on First Friday and was told about the museum being opened late. I learned a fair amount about the city and region through art, attractive displays and interactive exhibits. This really is a fun museum, in my opinion, and the city has done a great job with it! Without giving away too much of what’s inside, I’ve included some photos of things that struck me as neat, to give you an idea of what they have.
Heather M — Google review
Truly enjoyed my visit to the Sioux City Public Museum. The pleasant conversation with the front desk receptionist was a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed the 13-minute movie learning about some of the history of Iowa. The love for Iowa, Sioux City, and the people is present throughout the museum's multiple artifacts. The interactive displays are a nice touch. Being able to see real mist/smoke appear while a movie is describing the destruction of a town fire is genius. I also appreciate the displays that explained African-American and Native American contributions/stories and how they intertwined with the rich history of Iowa. Admission is free however donations are accepted. Additionally, remember to show support at the gift shop. Parking meters on the side streets were reasonable during my Friday morning visit.

Place was cool... But wish they had more larger artifacts like the tank, but it has been 100+ years, and things don't always get saved... certainly worth at least one visit

What makes this space stand out is how interactive it is, plus a little corny... Which I love. I'm a little corny as well. So much stuff inside to see. It has more things to see besides stuff about the city but even if you don't know Sioux City, interact. The theater presentation is so much fun, and where I think it has a couple corny things. Lol. I love it. The rest is great as well. So much to interact with that even if it may not be something you're interested in, it could be because of the process.

Grandview Park is a beloved destination known for its iconic bandshell, which hosts the annual Saturday in the Park concert on the Fourth of July. The park offers stunning panoramic views, serene walking trails, and lush greenery. It's a popular spot for various activities such as music festivals, weddings, and family outings.
Grandview is a such a cool unique spot for a wedding ceremony. Most couples are unaware but city parks are often an affordable option as well. I've also had the opportunity to be a part of Saturday in the park a few different years. This location is a Sioux City staple.

Hot dog restaurant
Milwaukee Wiener House, a beloved Siouxland lunch spot, has been serving up classic Coney Island-style hot dogs and homemade chili since 1918. Despite a change in location, the joint continues to receive high praise from customers. The menu offers various options for coney hotdogs, with the chili and mustard being highly recommended. The friendly staff provides quick and efficient service in a nostalgic diner-like atmosphere with both indoor booth seating and outdoor tables available.
I just had to try this, and went out of my way to make it happen. I'm glad I did. The staff greeted me immediately and were quick and helpful with my order. The chili is definitely NOT the normal chili you would expect on a chili dog. No, it's better. Perfectly suited for the dog (did I detect star anise?). I went with the chili dog with mustard, chips, and a root beer float, and my only regret is that I didn't order two dogs, maybe even something different. If I'm passing through Sioux City again, I will absolutely find time to stop in again.

Braaaaaaaa!!! This place is the definition of an American Classic! Like a maid rite in this B… I was juts waiting in the Teddy Swims concert and wanted a snack and what’s a more America. Snack then a hot diggidy hot dog! I just got there classic chili cheese dog and boy did this make me happier then finding an empty rocking chair on a porch swing. The double dog had me astonished! And even though it’s just an onion chili cheese dog… that weiner between that bun was a childhood nostalgia that is incomparable. If your in town, go check out this basic delicacy! Especially if you have little ones… they have beer, duh!

Amazing service. The food was good. I could eat about 4 hot dogs. I ate my hot dog so fast, I forgot to take a photo. Next time, I plan on getting the pie for dessert.
Kassandra L — Google review
To be honest... I would prefer Kwik Trip hotdogs over these expensive (low quality) hotdogs. And the bowl of chili was very watery. I'd try again but.... it was a weird experience. (You just leave your trash on the table for them to pick up was kind of weird to me. Made me feel rude and messy just leaving it there. And I kept stepping on oyster crackers!!!) Overall the workers were really nice, service was A++.
Ariya M — Google review
How do you make something simple, with ordinary ingredients and make it better with out changing the recipe? These guys have nailed it. With a mixture of nostalgic history, friendly staff that look you in the eye with respect, a thank you, and a good bowl of potato soup with a chilli dog on a dreary day. Given the chance, will be returning to enjoy another good experience.
Keith H — Google review
Decided to give this place a try while I was in town. I have always heard wonderful things about this place and they did not disappoint! Their chilly dogs were GREAT! Staff is also very kind and quick!

My 10 year old found this place and insisted we try it. This being our first time, we walked in and were greeted by 4 gentlemen who were very helpful and friendly! Everything is a la cart style. The menu is posted on the board behind the counter with employees there ready to serve you quickly and efficiently! We loved the chili dogs, mustard, onions and chili on the hot dogs was so good!! Booth seating is avaliable inside with tables outside and even a walk up window!! So cute I thought! Very clean, comfortable with very respectful, polite and inviting staff there to help with whatever you need!! We will be coming back here again for sure! Our family of 6 all got at least 2 dogs per person, drinks and chips and it cost us under $63, for 6 people! That's a deal, and it was delicious food!!

Outstanding Service from Jo-C at Famous Dave’s! I had the pleasure of being served by Jo-C during my recent visit to Famous Dave’s, and I can honestly say she made the entire experience exceptional. From the moment we were seated, Jo-C was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Jimmy John's is a popular counter-serve chain known for its delicious sub and club sandwiches, as well as their signature potato chips. They pride themselves on using all-natural meats and fresh veggies that are sliced in-house daily. The bread is freshly baked on-site, and they offer house-made tuna salad every day. Customers have been pleasantly surprised by the speed of service, with sandwiches being ready in no time after ordering.
All I gotta say is that on 12/18/24 I left THIS Jimmy John’s happier than I have left any other JJ’s location. Food was great, but the crew working today was just on top of their game that would give the 94-95 Bulls a run for their money.

Ordered food around 9:00pm. Waited, waited, waited. Because I had to leave for work, I did not get to eat, and my son hadn't eaten yet. I called at 9:40 as I was leaving for work. The manager didn't ask who I was or about my order, just said "yeah my drivers out with it, I only have one driver" and that was it; end of conversation. If there was any way they could have communicated that with me, I could have made other plans so I could have eaten before I went to work, and it sucks my son had to look for a driver after 10:00 at night by himself. He messaged me when it got there 1 hour after I ordered. This is the only time I ordered ftom this location. I never had a problem with the Floyd Blvd location.

Had been a long time since I had been here. Have enjoyed subway over the years and just hadn’t mixed it up. Decided to give this a try. I’ve made several stops, and had similar results about. Bottom line, I don’t know why I hadn’t been frequenting sooner. Made fresh, quickly, and ingredients are fresh as well. Bread is totally different than other competitors, but very good. So far, there would be very little for me to complain about.

Bar & grill
I had a fantastic experience at Graham's Grill & Pub. The French Dip I ordered was delicious, with perfectly cooked sliced meat and a flavorful au jus that had just the right amount of spices. The refreshing Summer Shandy complemented my meal perfectly. Despite the busy atmosphere, the service was excellent, thanks to Shameka who tirelessly helped everyone while still checking in on us. I will definitely return when I'm in the area.
Staff was very polite and friendly, Ordered the prime rib. Pretty good for a bar & grill. Prices were very modest for this day and age.

What a great lunch we had, if the lot looks full, stop in anyway, they share the parking lot. Great service, great food and very reasonable prices. If I could give 10 stars I would. Awesome! Thank you.

Food has definitely gone down hill from what it was. Staff was pleasant. Price have gone up tremendously from what it was. Far as there burgers go all of them are with in pennies of each other. It doesn't matter if you get a loaded burger or a plain burger it is only cents different. But when it comes to the bill the way he does it for buy one get one half off doesn't add up. He discounts each burger individually and puts discount under the beer. Still doesn't add up to buy one get one half price. I asked the staff about it and they can't do anything about it with no manager on duty. It's only 7:30 and no manager?? What???? Wow??? But staff was going to make it right but it was out of her pocket. Again NOT right. Not her fault. Will not be back anytime soon.

Great place to eat♡♡I've read all the previous reviews and some of them are just not true. Food was great, service & atmosphere...great. nice restaurant. Not really a pub setting. But great food and drinks. Plenty of parking. I would recommend...
Debbie D — Google review
I’ve hit this place at least a half of dozen times out of convenience because it is right across the street from a place where I end up doing a lot of work. This is pretty much what you would expect to find in a small area like Dakota Dunes (being a town of only about 2800 people). So, if you’ve been to a small town bar/restaurant, that’s pretty much the feel of Grahams. It is in a pretty good location right off the interstate so it makes getting to it very easy without having to venture too far from I-29 or contend with Sioux City traffic. I’ve tried several dishes here, including a chicken cesar salad just yesterday which I didn’t think to take a picture of (looked pretty much how you’d expect). I’ve never had a bad meal here. Everything is pretty good. It’s nothing extravagant or exiting but it has more of a homemade feel to it which definitely has its merits too. Pictured I have a prime rib sandwich. Flavors were ok, steak I usually like to have medium rare, this was medium well so cooked more than I would have liked. The steak could have used a touch more salt but the au jus was really good so that really saved it. The other picture is a Ruben. That was actually pretty darn good! I do love me a good Ruben! Great flavors on that one and if you love sauerkraut like I do, they were pretty generous with that which is awesome! Service isn’t bad but not great either. It’s pretty good considering how few people run the front of the house but sometimes it takes a little while to get a drink refill. It stays fairly busy but not overly busy, usually pretty easy to grab a table for lunch. If you’re looking for a home cooked meal type menu, or that hometown bar feel, I do recommend. While it might not be anything to write home about, this is a great place for some good hardy food. **UPDATE** Had the Cajun Bleu burger today… I love blue cheese and blue cheese crumbles but this was overly bleu… very bitter. I don’t want to say that the crumbles went bad because that’s a big accusation but it kinda tasted like it did. This was the first menu item I’ve had out of several that I did not care for. I will still go back again but I will not be ordering that and do not recommend.

I had the French Dip and it was great. The sliced meat was perfectly cooked and the au jus was very good, just the right amount of spices. The tall cold Summer Shandy hit the spot. The service was excellent. Even though it was crazy busy, Shameka was running helping everyone out and was still able to check in on us. I will return the next time I'm in the area. Bicycling: The roads aren't very bicycle or pedestrian friendly, come on South Dakota step up your game. On a positive note, the restaurant has an outdoor seating area.

I went here exactly 2 times while staying for work. I had the same thing pretty much each night. The 1st night I had the absolute best ribeye steak (med rare) I have ever eaten. It was juicy and tender. I broke it with my hands it was so wonderful. I had the loaded baked potato and they had the 'fixings' in a cup, the butter and SC in separate cups. Th e broccoli was in big longs strips, juicy and tender and amazing. Apparently you have to ask for the steak to come from the "steak house side". It was a great meal come true. I naturally went for the same exact order on day 2. Yes I made sure to request 'from the steakhouse side' to which he told me it will cost extra. I was excited. I brought it up to my room and immediately noticed no cups with the 'fixings' or butter or CS. It was just a little bit of everything already on the potato. OK it was actually the best part of this meal. The ribeye ... wasn't horrible by any means but I'd say 1/4th the steak I had about 24 hours ago. The broccoli was surprising. It had yellow spots on it which if you know anything about broccoli that means it is VERY old. I tried a couple bites and it was very tough and I didn't even eat it. I had to take the best (middle) pieces out of the steak and throw away the outer edge and thinner edges were overdone and somewhat dry. I would have give them 1 star but I guess they got it right 1 out of 2 times anyway so I guess good luck. Needless to say I was very disappointed in that last meal before going home.
