Most famous temple in thrissur where thrissur pooram is celebrated. We visited there in the evening after 5pm (suggesting you the same). No dress code like traditional dress like mundu and saree in this temple. But men has to remove their shirts while visiting the main deity. After coming out we sat near the temple and watched sunset.

A large park but some of the area needs proper management.The security guard tries best to ensure there is no plastic dumbing and entering adults into children only items.

Good place to spend some time with your children or your beloved partner. Calm and quit atmosphere. There are shops outside the park in which you can buy Peanuts and even toys to your kids.

Spacious park with big play area for kids. Evening walkers can spend good time here. The park will close by 8pm. Exercise equipments are also fixed inside the park. The dancing fountain is very nice and the kids will really like it. The place is lighted well and the authorities are keeping good care of the park. And surprisingly the park is very clean. Food and snacks are available at the gates outside the park.

Visited Nehru Park in Thrissur recently and found it to be a peaceful and kid-friendly spot right in the heart of the city. The park is quite spacious with well-maintained gardens, walking paths, and a decent play area for children with swings and slides. The highlight is definitely the giant steel elephant sculpture—it’s a great photo spot! There’s also a small aquarium and boating facility, which kids seem to enjoy a lot. The place gets livelier in the evenings, especially with the musical fountain and open-air stage where events are sometimes held. It’s free to enter and open from around 1 PM to 8 PM. The park could use a bit more maintenance in some areas, but overall it’s a nice place to relax or spend time with family. Plenty of snack vendors outside too. Worth a visit if you’re nearby!

Nehru park has quite a good number of slides, swings, seesaws etc.. But some slides and seesaws are having damages, rust, parts missing etc.. Beware of a big concrete and mosaic slide, which is not kid-friendly actually. Though, there's a neat lawn area also with a good tree, onto which even children can climb (with elders' supervision) and take photos. We can take good photos in the park. It's rush during weekends especially after 5.30pm. Try to go on weekdays to avoid rush.

Average place .. Equipments are quite old and damaged. Still kids will like to visit.. Renovation is in progress with some exciting experience to start..

Well-maintained play equipment. Even though the park is for children parents can also enjoy this place... Constant monitoring of officers is there, which is a good thing. Another interesting thing is the overall neatness... As compared to other parks the amount of waste inside the park is very less. Benches are constructed in several parts of the park which can be used for relaxing... In my opinion, this park is not only for children but also for people of all ages. No entry fee is required, the park opens at 1 pm.

In sanctum sanctorum the old idol of the Goddess Paramekkavu Bhagavathy was a wooden idol (daru silpa). A Panchaloka Vigraha was installed latter. Bas-reliefs of Durga, Aman, Arjuna on a Charriot from the epic Mahabharata, Maha Vishnu’s Ananta Sayanam are on the front wall of sanctum sanctorum. In sanctum Bhagavathy is in a sitting posture with right leg folded and left leg is hanging. Sree Bhagavathy is with 8 hands holding various weapons, like Silambu, sickle, Trishul, emathandu, Sword, Snake, kai vattala, etc. Vinayagar, Saptamatrikas, Shiva as Veerabhadra, Nagars, Brahma Rakshasa and Melakavu Bhagavathy (Originally this was the place where animals are sacrificed. After the ban of animal sacrifice, this Mela Bhagavathy temple was constructed) are in this temple. ARCHITECTURE The temple consists of Sree kovil, namaskara mandapam, nalambalam with entrance / exist on the 4 cordinal directions, pradakshinapatha, and thriuchuttambalam. The Sree kovil is rectangular in plan on an adhistanam. The namaskara mandapam is in front of sree Kovil. The temple walls are built with laterite stone plastered with mud and lime. A Kerala style guttur tiled roof pyramidal vimana is on the adhistanam. The Sree kovil walls are with mural paintings.

(Visited in August 2025) - Our Lady of Dolours Basilica / Puthenpalli is an iconic church in Thrissur. It has the distinciton of being India's tallest Church and Church Tower, and Asia's tallest Church Tower as well as 3rd tallest Church. The Gothic architecture is pristine and it is an imposing building.

The first mistake we made was visiting without finding out much about the place beforehand, so we missed the Bible Tower view. The surroundings are calm and divine, but we couldn’t explore much as we arrived during prayer time and it was already late in the evening.

Visited Alibaba and 41 Dishes in Thrissur yesterday with high expectations, and overall, it was a decent experience with a few notable highlights and a few areas that need attention. Firstly, the biggest drawback I faced was the parking. The space available is quite limited, and during peak hours, it was a real struggle to find a proper spot. For a restaurant of this popularity, better parking management is definitely needed. That said, once inside, the atmosphere was good — nicely set up interiors with a pleasant dining ambiance. The place had a lively vibe, and the seating was comfortable enough to enjoy a peaceful meal. Coming to the food, it was truly satisfying. The dishes had authentic flavours, and you could tell that attention was given to the ingredients and preparation. Everything we ordered was well-balanced in taste — not overly spicy, not bland. It lived up to the reputation when it comes to flavour. However, the service sector needs clear improvement. The staff were polite, but the coordination and promptness were lacking. There were noticeable delays in serving and attending to tables, especially with so many customers around. It didn’t spoil the experience entirely, but it did affect the flow of the meal.

Had lunch here and really enjoyed the experience. The food was tasty and well-prepared, the ambience was pleasant and comfortable, and the waiters were friendly and attentive. The only downside was that the toilet wasn’t as clean as expected, which stood out compared to the otherwise great service and atmosphere. Overall, still a very good dining spot — worth visiting for the food, service, and vibe!

Well a lot of things were bad. Frequently visited this place cause it was near to my hotel during my visit in 1st week of July. 1. They missed giving any cutlery with food even upon request. (For takeaway) 2.Food is mediocre but over hyped and overpriced a bit. 3. They served water in broken glass, could have caused some serious injuries if I had not noticed it. 4. The bearded guy at the billing counter was quite argumentative. If you make a mistake u should accept it. Arguing doesn't help anyone. Rest of the staff were very generous. Waiters were attentive and well groomed. Overall not a bad place but needs serious improvements

We visited Alibaba and 41 Dishes in Thrissur recently. The ambience and service were okay, but unfortunately, the food wasn’t as delicious as we expected. We ordered chicken lollipop, chicken fried rice, chicken noodles, fish biriyani, chatti choru, and mineral water – the total bill came to ₹1,427. For the price, we expected better taste and quality. It wasn’t a bad experience, but not something we’d go back for either.

Nice food and ample parking available. Good for family and also for friends to hang out. Nice behaviour of staff.

I’m giving 1 star mainly because of the waiter’s behavior. A group sitting next to us finished their meal, and as soon as they got up, the waiter quickly took their bill, ran to the counter, and even paid it himself. But when it came to us, he completely ignored our table. It felt like he gave them special treatment just because they looked “rich,” while we were overlooked. Such biased behavior is unacceptable in a restaurant. As for the food, we came here after seeing reels and reviews. It wasn’t as great as expected, but not too bad either. We had pathal with mutton, which was good, and the wheat parotta was average.

The Patiala Paneer was awesome, especially when paired with the Turkish bread. Falooda was good too.

This was once the most crowd pulling factor at Thrissur and with gradual opening up of new new malls in Many locations of Thrissur this is not an attraction any more but sincerely speaking now many saloons and other bridal make up centres are functioning now here, Car parking facilities are here No good restaurants are inside Better renovation is needed to get back into former glory

It is the first shopping complex in Thrissur. But due to other new shopping mall the rush of people to City Center has declined. Although the water fountain has an wonderful attraction of people. There are many shops from super markets to dresware shops, beauty parlor and goes on. Due to its position in the center of town it has gained attraction.

It is a mall. It has many shops such as supermarkets, shoe stores, dress stores, beauty parlor, shops for school accessories, makeup items for girls, jewellery, shops for having snacks, juices etc. Things there are available at cheap prices.

Mall is found to be really small,in terms of standard,but since this is was the oldest in thrissur considered as first mall in thrissur.Main highlight of this place is the City Super Market in the ground floor. You get anything over this place.Inside there is one counter for branded cosmetic items too. They super charge you in this section. The other major footfall is in Lotus & Tulips beauty parlour. Apart from this there is nothing much this place can offer you. Youth find this as their hanging out place ,and window shopping. The parking charge they take is so high.

However, some enclosures feel a bit small and could be better maintained. The layout can be confusing for first-time visitors, and a few areas look like they need renovation. It’s not a bad experience overall, but there’s room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and animal care. A good visit if you’re in the area, but not something worth traveling far for.

Visited the Thrissur Zoo recently and had a pleasant experience. Though not very large, the zoo offers a peaceful environment with a decent variety of animals, birds, and reptiles.  Clean pathways and shaded areas make it a relaxing visit, though some parts could use better signage and upgrades. Overall, a calm and affordable outing for families and nature lovers visiting Thrissur.

The entrance fee for one person is Rs. 20, and for children, there is nothing to see in this museum except a tiger, a lion, a spotted deer, and a few snakes. I learned that all the animals here have been moved to the largest natural park in Thrissur, which is about to open. Those who want to visit Thrissur should go to the Thrissur National Park. I felt that spending time there was a waste.

The zoo could use some improvement. A few animals appeared unwell and their living conditions seemed inadequate. Overall, it wasn’t a very enjoyable or relaxing visit, so I would suggest considering other options for now.

Othr days open from 10 to 5pm.variety of dears, fox, hipapotamus, tiger, cheetah, lion, crocodile, snakes, monkeys, birds can be seen.Benches to rest are also available.Food area is also available outside the zoo.parking is available outside. Total hygenic and environment friendly atmosphere is maintained by the staffs. Best spot to visit especially with your kids.

They're moving the zoo, so there aren't many animals. The museum's alright. No parking, need to park on the street. Costs 15 for adults and 40 for family of 4.

I've tried their kalyana biriyani and the masala was too sweet.... I really didn't liked it.... I don't know about the other items.... My experience was really bad....

I was a regular customer of guesto when I was working at Thrissur. Then the food was good. I recently went to this place after 2 years and found that ownership had changed and went on to try the hyped kalyana biriyani. Hype is not worth. I think it costs Rs above 500. Regretted after getting the bill. Could have tried normal C.B which may cost for 2 around 400 only. Kalyana biriyani is just the normal biriyani with some beef and fish fry kept on the side of the plate. The chicken portion is also less.

It was the same worst experience for the second time. We ordered 1 chicken biriyani and qrtr manthi at the same time. After 20 mnts they served biriyaani. I just started eating slightly. Until I finished the biriyani they couldn't serve the manthi. Till then my wife was looking at me and she also ate little biriyani frm my plate. They don't know how to serve the food to a group of people at the same time. They didn't follow the table manners Pathetic experiences both the time.😞😡 And the biriyani costs ₹170🙄

Food: 🌟🌟🌟 Ambience: 🌟🌟🌟 Service: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Went out after a long time, had a craving for Chinese. This place was one of the must try place I google and thankfully they don't serve pork and it's halal. That was a relief . When it comes to food, I had high expectations and unfortunately they couldn't deliver it. We ordered some roti ,Korean chicken and lollipop chicken and juices. The lolipop chicken was terrible and burnt but the other things were fine. But I would still recommend this place bcz the owner or manager was courteous and was welcoming, hopefully the food gets better. *Note to the owner* : as an architect, I would like to let you know that place feels very cramped and dark, bcz of low ceiling, alot of partitions and dim lights. Either add proper lighting or remove the physical partitions.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is a highlight, and the city centre is a plus point, The overall experience was good, especially chattichorr which had a huge amount of quantity veg and non veg, prices of each food items is moderate.

Had a Kanthari Spicy Al-fam from this place..😍..It was really good both in terms of quality and portion size....This too comes with Salad and Mayo ,which was sweet 😋 Excellent customer service ... Polite staff...Good for groups...Looking forward to try more of their menu.

One of the best tasty hangout place in Thrissur town. Very easy to access but hard to find because of the underground building structure. Very short entrance that too cannot easily found out from crowd. No parking space. No wheelchair entrance, full of steps to underneath. Have a neat little waiting area with good feel furnishings. Amazing lighted ambience inside the dining area. Hardly 15 minutes of waiting time.. good behaviour from Bengali staffs. Small and bit difficult to notice washroom. Not much crowded in evenings. Very much satisfied with both veg n non items. Tasty and less cost comparing with same kinda restaurants in town. They have amazing menus and perfect less cost Combo menus. Have live music and LED TV facilities for live entertainments. Highly recommended. Won't make u sad.

Never try shawarma. The worst I had in my life. The noodles were good eventhough not great. Tea is great. Have ample dining space. Parking space is less, but can park nearby roads. Service is good. But again never rry shawarma especiallly if u r are from malabar side

I visited there two times. As there was no option to find another restaurant near by. Food is average, and not meet that quality. They have a good location, and serving average food is confusing. They must need to improve their attitude and style. serving staff and cleaning staff are working hard, as i feel, but the management is not that so good to make the staff happy, either the customers. You can just slow down your hunger and leave the place. Don't take more from there until they are ready to get improved. feels a lazy vibe whenever you visit there. The exterior & interior and cleanliness is good is the plus. Sorry to say what i experienced. (Hope management may read this and change themselves. good luck)

Good ambiance & food is ok!

The worst food and hospitality I have ever had in my lifetime. We ordered many items, but nothing tasted good. They charge too high for the bitter service & food. You would get better food in a thattu kada. In short, this restaurant is “The waste of the town”.

The breakfast was ok. The masala dosa and ghee roast was good. They provided two chatny and sambar. The parking lot was adequate for a couple of cars. The serving personal was good and made everything available on time.

The quantity and taste doesn't stand up to the charges here. The garlic chicken had 6 pieces and fish curry with a 10gms piece. Disappointed with the ambience as well(too narrow).

We tried the Cocoa Elaneer Payasam Cake and another chocolate-based dessert (name slipped my mind). The Payasam Cake was absolutely top-notch. We also had Anar Juice and a Mojito – both were refreshing and really good. What we appreciated most is that they don’t add sugar; it’s served with natural pulp (though you can ask for sugar if you prefer). The prices may feel slightly on the higher side, but definitely worth it for the quality. The ambience? Absolutely fabulous. Since we visited close to closing time, we couldn’t explore more options – but we’ll definitely do so on our next visit.

Absolutely fantastic experience at The Lilys in Thrissur! My mom ordered a cake and cake slices for my birthday and they completely blew us away. The Lily’s Chocolate Cake slices and the Hazelnut Chocolate Wafer cake were both amazing—so moist and not too sweet. Truly delicious! I can’t recommend them enough. When we went to pick up the order, we were welcomed with big smiles. To my surprise, they treated me to a delicious biscoff dome with a cute happy birthday message, playing “Happy Birthday” in the background. It was our first time at this café, and we instantly knew it wouldn’t be our last. We returned just three days later and were greeted with the same wonderful hospitality. This time, we tried the passion fruit sangria, hot chocolate, and croissant. Every item was excellent and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to Roshan, who communicated very clearly and kindly with my mom throughout the cake selection and order process. Thank you for making our celebrations so memorable! Sobha City Mall is one of the best malls in Thrissur. Well-designed with a premium feel, it has a great mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The mall is spacious, clean, and well maintained with ample parking facilities. Away from City centre, a peaceful place and ambient area for relaxation..the lake view is fantastic in the evening!! Mall is not that big but useful outlets all are there!! Food court is nice and variety of foods available including pure veg and Non veg options!!

After visiting a large number of malls across kerala and the globe, let's just say this is a very very average mall, yes it is very peaceful as Its generally not that crowded, also the shops even though not many, all the ones which are required are there, don't expect any luxurious stores here though, it's a mall made in mind keeping the Indian shopping style and brands , well this is good because the other brands won't really sell and would be there just for show, but yeah if want a peaceful day roaming and having fun, this place is a great choice, the biggest highlight of the mall is the apartment view and the pond at the back side, it looks absolutely stunning especially in monsoon season and is a great place to click some pretty dope pics, the mcd ice cream store is also here and u will get icecreams for super cheap like 30-40 rupees and that along with with view , is one awesome thing. Apart from that the food court is good but not the best, there is also a theatre so no complaints there as well, and yeah as i said, fun mall to roam around, but not a place u should be coming for specifically to visit thrissur, combine it with guruyaur temple then yeah it would be a good 2 day tour. My overall rating 4.2/5.

It is a nice shopping mall to look at, but it is a bit difficult to buy things in the shops here. The reason is that all the things are very expensive. If you drink a cup of tea, it costs 20 rupees. If we were outside, it would cost 10 rupees.

Great Mall & Ambiance, but Parking Needs Attention Sobha City Mall is one of the best places in Thrissur for a complete day out. A couple of times been here. Food, taste wise is top notch, exceptional service, many options in the menu. What I didn't like was, many flies were buzzing around, which is not at all excepted considering the standard they want to setup. AC vents are right over the tables which make the food cold very fast. Overall, this restaurant can be the best around here also they need to look into negative remarks and improve.

Visited Round in Thrissur recently. The ambience and setup are impressive — the restaurant is quite spacious, well-maintained, and ideal for families or small gatherings. There’s even a special hall available for private functions. Parking is ample, which is a big plus, and the service staff were polite and attentive throughout. However, the food experience was a bit mixed. The porotta was really good — soft and flaky, just as it should be. But the koonthal roast was disappointing; it tasted quite bland and lacked flavour. The coin porotta too didn’t live up to expectations. The shawai manthi was good, though the service staff didn’t check if I needed extra rice, which would have made the experience smoother. Prices were also on higher side Overall, while the service and ambience are commendable, the food could use some improvement in consistency and taste

Had lunch on a weekday. First the positives: There’s lot of parking space. As u enter, u r greeted and telephone number is noted. For what I didn’t understand 🤣Then u r seatedand the usual. We ordered a mutton biriyani and a seafood platter. Mutton biriyani was tasty. Although the top layer was not layered with coriander or mint leaves or nuts. Also it was just warm and not piping hot as is served elsewhere. Seafood platter was okay. Didn’t like the squid much. Other items were quite good. Prawns,Kingfish etc were in the platter. The salad with it was interesting ( carrot n raw mango with green chilli) Negatives I was not impressed with the outside. Glasspanes were too dusty. The female washroom needs more lighting. Its dimly lit. Also the poster on the doors was torn. Didn’t look neat.

Giant Arabic Grill Platter, for one plate like given in the picture they charged Rs.4,600. It's SCAM, let me explain. The waiter came and recommended this item for us as combo, so we ordered. Then surprised to see this costs Rs.4,600, checked the menu, this dish was not there. It's SCAM, even spelling of 'Giant' is wrong in the bill. What's there in the plate, mostly chicken and I could only find few prawns. Totally scammed.

This is a neighbourhood temple in Thrissur but quite popular one. This is on the main road in a busy residential area with restricted entry approach. The Sree Krishna here, like Guruvayur, is that of child swarupam. There are other upa devatas - Bhagawati, Ganapathy & Ayyappan as well. This temple is also part of the famous Pooram celebrations.

My visit to Thiruvambadi Sreekrishna Swami Temple was a truly divine experience. Located right in the heart of Thrissur city, this temple radiates the vibrant charm of bhakti. The spiritual energy here is something that can’t be described in words — the rhythmic chants, the fragrance of incense, and the beautifully adorned idol of Lord Krishna all come together to create a deeply peaceful and devotional atmosphere. The temple’s traditions and rituals are followed with great devotion, and it feels spiritually uplifting to be a part of it, even as a visitor. The architecture and cleanliness of the temple also reflect the respect and care taken by the devotees and management. However, being situated at the center of the city, one major challenge is parking. It’s quite difficult to find a proper space nearby, especially during peak hours or festival days. This is something to keep in mind while planning a visit. Overall, despite the parking inconvenience, I feel Thiruvambadi Temple is a must-visit for anyone seeking divine bliss and traditional Kerala temple vibes. A place where devotion truly comes alive.

Temple is super. However Vazhivadu coupons are not treated with respect. You have to pay money and then you are advised to abandon it with the Poojari. You can't even leave it at the Nada in front of the Devan. If you try to keep it in front of the Devan they will shout at you. Bad behavior of staff. Devotees have got to be respected.

This is my first time here, it's a nice, peaceful, and wonderful temple.

The temple from outside looks too good. But the timings differ we went around 12 , it was closed. It closes around 11 and opens at 4:30.

Thiruvambady Sri Krishna Temple is situated in Thrissur in Kerala. The main deities of this temple are lord Krishna in the form of a child, and goddess Bhadrakali, both having equal importance. There are also sub-shrines of Ganesha, Sastha and Brahma rakshas. There is a sub-temple for Ganesha behind the temple. The temple is one of the two groups participating in the Thrissur Pooram festival of Kerala.. Thiruvambady Bhagavathi is one of the main participants of Thrissur Pooram. The goddess is considered as the younger sister of Paramekkavu Bhagavathi (the presiding deity of Paramekkavu temple) The temple is located on the Shornur road, 1 km north of the Vadakkumnathan Temple and 500m from Swaraj Round. It is only 10mts drive from Thrissur Railway Station and Bus stand. The Poonkunnam Railway station is only 250 metres from the temple. The main deity at Thiruvambady is Lord Unni-Krishna (Lord Krishna in infant form). Further Goddess Bhagavathy’s shrine is just on the left of Lord Krishna and both are worshipped with equal ardour. Other deities such as Lord Ganesha, Dharmasastha are also worshipped in separate shrines outside the Nalambalam. Further Deities known by Dravidian names - Kukshi Ayyapa, Manikanda, Ghandakarna, Raktheswari and Bhairava are also enshrined here, just outside the walls of the temple. The idol of Krishna, now worshipped here, was originally the Parthasarathy idol in a temple at Edakkalathur, about 15km from Thrissur. The temple also had the same name - Thiruvambady – Four centuries ago, when life and property in the village were threatened by communal conflagration. Some villagers under the cover of darkness, carried the idol to Thrissur and entrusted the same to a pious Namboodiri couple at Kachanappilly Illam, 200mtrs from the present Thiruvambady temple. The childless couple considered it as a blessing in disguise from the Almighty and as they preserved the idol for worship. They treated it as their own unborn child. The Lord who appears before a devotee in the form he wants, opted to cast aside Partha Sarathy's whip and to pick up the flute in one hand and extended the other to receive the butter of devotion from the 'foster parents'. A small temple was erected 200mtrs, South of Kachanappally Illam and 'Unnikrishna' was enshrined there. The Kachanappally couples were ardent devotees of Kodungallur Devi. They the male member used to travel distance of 40km by foot, every month, to have a darshan of the Devi at Kodungallur. With the passage of time and deteriorating health conditions he had to bid farewell to the Deity and returned home with a broken heart. However, just like a human mother, the Devi could not bear the separation from her dedicated devotee. Therefore her 'Chaitanya' followed the devotee to his abode and consequently got enshrined on a granite pillar in the central courtyard within the Nalukettu. It is this consecrated pillar with the Devi 'Chaitanya' which is installed in the Sanctum to the left of Unnikrishnan and worshipped as the compassionate Bala-Bhadra Kali (Kali as a child). The temple complex is very calm, clean and serene. A darshan of both Unni-Krishnan & Goddess Bala- Bhadrakali gives us the much-needed positive vibes, fulfilment and great satisfaction with mental peace. One must visit such temples at least once in a lifetime.

Nice experience 😉 But with your loved ones 🤩 I went solo on my way to Thrissur zoo, saw this place and entered here. It's mentioned as a tourist place. But poor maintenance Roads are horrible 😭 This is the place where I've seen couples kissing lively. I was shocked to see 🙈 lots of couples here and there all in hidden spots and in the roadside parking in their cars and lots of couples in uniforms. I wonder 🤔. The atmosphere is peaceful. It's strictly mentioned no plastics or wastes to be thrown. And they will check your bag. You can buy drinking water and snacks items from the inside shop once you enter. If you buy drinking water they'll charge 40/- for 1 litre bottle and will return 20/- on your way back when you show the bottle in the ticket 🎫 counter in order to avoid throwing plastics inside the hills. I won't suggest it for solo travellers like me as it's difficult to find a place to sit calm and peaceful as every 5 minutes new couples keep on entering 😄. The sounds inside are mesmerizing of birds and other 🦋 insects.

Vilangan Hills is a peaceful green spot near Thrissur City, kept cool by the trees even at noon. From the viewpoint, you get a beautiful panoramic view of the paddy fields. There’s also a children’s park and a snack counter. A perfect place for couples or anyone wanting a break from the city’s hustle and bustle. The only drawback is the poor road leading up.

Calm and quiet place with lots of activities for kids. Have a small coffee shop and juice bar. Ticket charges are there, by comparatively lower. Preferred visiting time is upto 06:00am. Sightseeing tower is available where we can have nice sun set view.

Located 7 km away from Thrissur town, Vilangan Hills is a destination for all ages with its scenic beauty and incredible amusement rides which were popular even before new renovations including a 16D theatre. The herbal plants initiative called Asokavanam is maintained along the trails in collaboration with the State Medicinal Plants Board, The Vilangan Trekkers' Club, and the Asokavana Samiti. The four viewpoints and Selfie Corner are fun apart from Kole fields with the walking trail connecting each of them. The hill has plenty of rides for the little ones, some of them free too except for a nominal fee at the entrance. The new rides can cost slightly more but are enjoyable nevertheless. Vilangan Hills remains a favourite among people of all ages for its trekking trails and rides. Set in the lap of nature

Not well maintained. Has a children's park and small cafe, a small spot as a view point, but the view is covered by trees and bushes. Another view spot on the west side maybe good for watching sunset. Road to the hill is also a message right now in Nov 2025.

Title: Disappointing Experience at Chicking I recently visited Chicking Shobha City, and my experience was nothing short of disappointing. Let me break down the aspects that stood out as the worst: 1. Taco Nightmare: The taco I ordered was a complete disaster. It was stale, with soggy shells and an inexplicable lack of filling. It tasted like a sad attempt at Mexican cuisine gone wrong. 2. Shrimp Nuggets Disaster: Moving on to the shrimp nuggets, they were equally appalling. The nuggets were overcooked, rubbery, and lacked any discernible flavor. It felt like biting into a piece of cardboard with a hint of seafood essence. 3. Coke Catastrophe: As if the food wasn't bad enough, the quality and quantity of the Coke I ordered were abysmal. It was watered down to the point where it barely resembled Coke, and to add insult to injury, the serving size was laughably small. Overall, Chicking managed to disappoint on every front, from the tasteless food to the subpar beverages. Save your money and your taste buds by avoiding this establishment at all costs.

I had to change my review, this time when I visited this place I had a bad experience. I got smaller pieces than before, instead of two big pieces they gave one leg piece and normal piece. Previous time I got two big pieces for less price. Quality of food also got reduced. When I asked they said they only give like this. This is pure exploitation by this restaurant. No value for money paid.

Plenty of parking space, which is a big plus. The ambience is really nice with an oldschool aesthetic exposed brick walls and a slightly dark vibe that makes it cozy.For food, I tried Malai Paneer, Mushroom Curry, Kulcha, Butter Naan, and chilly gopi. The Mushroom Curry was the highlight super tasty! Malai Paneer was just average, and the breads (Kulcha & Butter Naan) were really good. The Gobi , though, felt a bit off masala was nice but inside it lacked flavor.

Today evening we ordered Ghee Podi Dosa. Unfortunately, the dish was extremely spicy — even spicier than “Jolo Chips,” which made it inedible. We immediately informed the waiter, but there was no response or concern shown. We just had a taste and left the rest, still paying the full bill. Afterward, we did not feel well. This was a very disappointing experience, and we strongly suggest the restaurant take customer feedback seriously and ensure the quality of food is balanced and safe for all.

We travelled for 6 hours exhausted and hungry. That's when found this vegetarian place and so happy that we chose this. There was waiting for tables but they were considerate as we had kids. Good variety of menu and day's specials were good too. We ordered dosa, vegetable pulav , soup and panir tikka starter. All were good and service was quick. Definitely recommend for casual lunch and dinner at this place. Ambience can be improved a little bit.

Food prices are extremely reasonable. I have visited the restaurant several times. Unfortunately I don't have any images to add. The quantity is outstanding for the price. We had been here about 3 yers ago and the place is wonderful. The interior is great and the food superb. I like the posters on vegetarianism and speaks a lot about their passion for vegetarianism. One of the good veg restaurant at thrissur. Good ambience with excellent interior works. Good and tasty food, they have special dishes each day,ask for it. Also one unique thing I found is the basket of breads,in which you get different varieties of breads, so don't need to order differently. The staffs are really friendly and interactive.

I googled and found out this space only 1km away from our route. Should say this i one of the best veg restuarants i hav been to. Menu says they don't use any food coloring or taste enhancers in their food. Appreciate people behind this project for such a bold move💐💐 The food tasted good. The vada was hot and crispy. It was soo crazy when we called the restaurant it was told it’s open until 10.30pm over phone. To the disappointment when we came and we found the restaurant was temporary closed!!! When u can’t handle the queries of the customer then why the mark you keep a person to attend the call to give incorrect information???? Totally disappointed customer service!! More than food customer service shud be good !! Take this as a straight feedback !!

Not bad. Seafood was good. Soup were a disaster. Continental dishes were horrifying. Better stick to kerala dishes. But good service and they have seperate room if you are having large company.

Also famous being known as "Bahubali Falls" as clippings of Blockbuster flick "Bahubali" was shot here. It is also being featured in lot of Bollywood movies. PS:- Athirappilly Falls is a majestic sight! The water plunges from a height of 80 feet, creating a breathtaking spectacle. Highly recommended for visiting.

Great place to visit. Do visit there once. Initially when we reached there the water was low. But as time went the water raised. It was great. We were washed by the water hitting the stones. The scenes there was wonderful. There was so much crowd that time. We can buy the tickets and have to walk somtime to reach the top of the waterfalls. There are shops at the top. You can have tea or icecreams. Then on the right side there is a way to the view from the bottom of waterfalls. The way is somewhat adventurous. It will be difficult for people with joint issues. You have to walk down the road. The way to top is wheelchair accessible.

Beautiful place. A must-visit. I recommend going during the monsoon to see the waterfall in its full flow — it’s often called the Niagara Falls of India. Make sure to wear good anti-skid shoes, and be prepared for about 30 minutes of descending steps to reach the falls. During the monsoon season, it won’t be possible to get close to the waterfall due to the strong flow.

Beautiful place in the lap of nature. Must visit. Best time to visit is during rainy season . But going down nearer to the waterfalls is bit difficult.

We took a detour from Kochi to Munnar and visited these beautiful waterfall. Word has it that certain scenes from the movie Baahubali were shot here. It's a short walk up from the roadhead - at the fork in the trail the left fork takes one to the top of the waterfall and the right fork leads one down a winding set stony steps and then a field of large rocks to the base of these wonderful waterfall. Well worth the detour to spend a couple of hours here!! There is a small fee one must pay to visit the falls. There is parking by the side of the road, but spotty cell signal.

Economically better choice. Also if it is for kids, this is more than enough. There is enough rides for even adults to have a nice life experience. Most of them but are outdated and need upgrade. Especially the 3D theater.

This water park was little smaller than Silver storm which is situated 10 km from here The approach of staff in here is pathetic . They don’t care much about you and sometimes not available Rides are okay not excellent Snow world in here is worst, they don’t provide you with enough supplements like jacket, gloves,etc. they only provide you with boots and you can only sustain 5 mins in there, which is very bad compared to silver storm where you can spend an hour with proper materials provided. Some water rides are very poorly managed by staffs Overall service is very bad, moderate enjoyable water rides.

Good for a weekend for those who stay near chalakudi. Park could be painted and maintained better. Grass could be trimmed properly. The staff are nice. 1 day advance online booking gives 10% discount. You can get a discount if you call them and make a booking over phone even if it is the same day.

A small water theme park perfect for a family day out. Children will like it very much.The 3D theater will provide a good experience.

So satisfied on visiting there. Not too rush. So calm. Clean area The staffs were too good. Really supportive with all rides. We visit with an infant 1 yr old. Their staffs helped manged the kid while we were using the rides

One of the best water theame park in kerala especially for kids because of small rides. Also suitable for adults does not want more advencharous rides. Friendly staff,clean water and environment .Got 15% discount on ticket due to advance booking. Can complete all rides within 4 hours. Some of them are starting only after 2.30pm.one thing i noticed that there is a lack of proper supervision in maintenance ( boomerang ride was not working, horror house having many items not in working condition). Chimmoni Dam is inside the Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s a calm and beautiful place to visit. The drive to the dam is peaceful, and the top view of the water and the surrounding area looks really nice. Kuttavanchi ride is available near the dam if you want a small activity. There are a few small shops for tea, snacks, and ice cream, but I personally don’t recommend them. At the entrance, you have to pay a small fee and inform the forest officers about how many people are entering. Overall, it’s a good natural spot if you want a quiet and relaxing visit near Thrissur.

I went on a 12km climate walk/trek, and it was a really great experience. The guides were very friendly and supportive. They shared many stories and explained everything well. I learned a lot during the trek. The forest team did a great job, and I also got to know more about the forest and animals. I really enjoyed it.

Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary, located near Thrissur, is one of Kerala’s less commercialized forest reserves. It spans both dense evergreen and semi-evergreen forest, offering solid biodiversity without the heavy tourism found in larger sanctuaries.Ideal for trekkers and nature photographers who value quiet observation over guided entertainment. Facilities are basic, and leech density during monsoon is high. It’s a strong choice for a day trip.

Superb place.... beautiful nature's view.... can't describe in few words.... evening or early morning are good time to visit if you want to go for a kuttavanchi ride and walk over the dam....nice and clam place to sit for some time and relax with fresh air.... biggest dam in Thrissur district.... parking space in there... entrance fee and the checkpost... it's worth....for kuttavanchi per head 100.... Treking facilities are there....for small treking we don't need booking....but for early morning and long Treking booking needed.... icecream parlour is there....in some distance two shops are there....

Very very pleasant place, it’s a natural gift fully surrounded by hills and water dam in centre. Kerala Forest department staff in Chimmini wild life sanctuary are very polite and helpful

Vazachal waterfall is a very scenic waterfall, located above The Athirapally Waterfalls. It is a very peaceful location with the tranquil beauty in the serene nature. Maintained by the Forest department it has clean washrooms and Play area for Kids. Tickets are included in the Athirapally Waterfall view tickets, so you don't need to pay any in extra for visiting it. Also they have parking slot available outside it, facilitating easy car parking for tourists. Recommended for visiting!

Beautiful ride to Vazhachal Waterfalls! 🌿 The road through the forest is smooth and scenic — perfect for a bike trip. The waterfall is peaceful and less crowded compared to Athirapally. Great spot to relax, enjoy nature, and feel the cool mist after the ride. 🏍️💧

Its a calm place with scenic waterfall that you can watch from very close staying within the set boundary. The trail is not much long and its more set like a park with waterfall on one end. There is a ticket of rupees 60 per head with which you can gain access to both vazhachal and athirapilly.

Visited on Oct5. This is just beside vazhachal checkpost to enter forest. Parking roadside with staff suppport is there. Ticket entry with small queue. If you are planning to go to Athirapally falls after this then you can take a ticket here to avoid long queues. Its hot and humid in Oct, cool drinks and icecreams you can buy here. Falls are beautiful, 100 mtrs walk.

Very beautiful place and it's just nesr the forest. Full of greens and slowly moving river. A place to relax and chill.

Vazhachal waterfalls, amazing beauty! ♥️ It is amazing to watch this beautiful waterfalls where water strolls down the rocks spread over a wide area with forest on either sides producing hypnotic sounds while twisting and turning that help unwind the stress and strain of modern life. Try to sit there for some time on the benches provided looking at the falls meditating while listening to the mesmerizing sounds of mother Nature. During the rainy season there will be heavy flow of water obviously but in summer too Nature here won't disappoint you even if the quantity of water is less. Take photos and videos from different angles. Always observe all the rules and regulations depicted over there and never try to enter the falls or river. ♥️

What a beautiful waterfall it is, enough space to swim and play in water, family friendly atmosphere, where toilets and dress changing rooms are available and always been watched by the forest people for our safety…recommended highly..even though please be careful on the water bodies and rocks..
