Nestled in the heart of downtown Huntington, Pullman Square is a vibrant lifestyle center that has been a focal point of the city's rejuvenation since its opening in 2004. This sleek and stylish square offers an array of entertainment options, including shopping at its diverse range of stores, dining at its enticing eateries, and catching the latest releases at Marquee Cinemas.
Today after hiking in Kentucky at Carter Caves, we drove towards home and stopped off in Huntington at Pullman Square to have late lunch early dinner at Roosters We stopped at a bookstore slash comic book store to purchase a few books. We checked out a few other shops. Took some quick pics with kids with some of the stationary artwork pieces along the streets. Very lovely pieces!!! We had a nice afternoon before the rain came pouring down!!

Pullman Square is a vibrant lifestyle center in downtown Huntington, WV, offering a delightful mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The open-air plaza features a charming central fountain and green space, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. With a variety of shops and eateries, including Cold Stone Creamery, Edible Arrangements, and Old North Arcade Bar and Kitchen, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The Marquee Cinemas provide a great movie-going experience, and the regular events, such as the Summer Concert Series, add to the lively ambiance. Convenient parking and a clean, well-maintained environment make Pullman Square a must-visit destination in Huntington.

Pullman square offers multiple things to do. From dining, movies, shops, Book Store, summer concerts, and more. There’s plenty of parking in parking garage. Also coffee, pottery place to paint your own pottery design. More shops and restaurants nearby within walking distance. Harris Riverfront Park is close by as well. Several hotels nearby within walking distance. Perfect place to spend your day or just an evening out.

Great little shopping center, cinema, restaurant, arcade, ice cream, inner geek, if your a nerd like me.... Let's say... ALL ABOARD!!!. The whole square is super clean, and also very roomy even better on Thursday nights during the summer. They have a live band which everyone and anyone are invited and it's free! Parking is kind of hard at times just because that little square area is pretty busy. But that's the only negative thing I have to say is just parking is a pain at times but I wouldn't let that hinder you from coming down though.
Megan A — Google review
⛲Pullman square as a rather beautiful place to look at with lots of shops and restaurants... You will also find a bookstore and Marquee cinemas... But don't spend all your money... It goes quick here... Please spend responsibly.

Nature & Parks
Harris Riverfront Park is a serene and picturesque green space located along the Ohio River. It offers stunning views of the river and the city's suspension bridge in the distance. The park features a skate park, playground, amphitheater, shaded walking paths, picnic tables, swings, and exercise equipment. The waterfront amphitheater hosts various events including summer concerts and can be rented for private functions like weddings.
This is a beautiful park it has river front scenic view you can play with the ducks at the dock, This place also has a children's playground and also beautiful for seniors and romantic people you should definitely come if you are around to enjoy the view.

I wish I could give a 100 star rating for this GREAT place! My beautiful Wifey and I have been coming down here and chilling on my days off. We both have already made some great memories and the view of the river is pretty from those swings. This is an amazing place for married couples and families to come and have a good relaxing day. Another great thing is that everything is really maintained and up to date. Godspeed you amazing park. Best one around!

Very nice water front park. Seating along the path with swings and seats. Play ground for children. Amphitheater and plenty of seating for viewing the river or other events going on.
Dreamer H — Google review
This is a family friendly park and boat launch property. Overall, it was clean and well maintained. Walking and biking trails, playgrounds, skateboard park and exercise stations are the main features. Parking is plentiful and large enough for any size rig or RV. Now for the downside, vagrants are loitering about the property, including bathing and smoking in the bathrooms. There is also an apparent graffiti problem throughout the flood wall. From a tourists perspective, I cut my visit short as a result of same. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming.
Will H — Google review
Very peaceful. Beautiful setting to take in the views of foliage across the river. There is also a nice little playground area.
Bearded L — Google review
Imagine just sitting by the river and you notice this... yea, this boat is massive!! I do not know if it is a dinner cruise, or just a tour boat, but either way, I would love to take a tour! The river bank could use some help with getting cleaned up,but it's not overly dirty. Its a river bank! Alot of branches, and logs as well. I'm fine with that, more places to sit, and more sticks for Odin! Odin and I go at least 2 day a week, it's our go to spot! So come down and enjoy the beautiful scenery, ya just might see Odin and I!!

Arena
Marshall Health Network Arena is a vibrant and versatile venue in Huntington, offering an array of entertainment from concerts featuring renowned artists like Travis Tritt and Lee Brice to thrilling rodeo events and pivotal sports games. The arena also hosts graduation ceremonies and conventions, making it a hub of diverse activities. In 2024, the lineup promises to continue captivating audiences with performances by the Harlem Globetrotters World Tour and the Kingdom. Visitors can expect an electrifying atmosphere that resonates with enthusiasm.
Went and enjoyed the Alabama and Marshall Tucker Band concert!! The only suggestion would be to run the A/C the entire time, not just cutting it on once Randy Owen complained about how damn hot it was.
James M — Google review
First time here, and I loved that it wasn't a huge venue. The seats are great, except they are pretty small or narrow. It's not good for larger people. Food was sold, which was also nice. I will be going again for other concerts for sure. Parking was very close. Multiple parking garages, and it was only $5.
Nicole S — Google review
I attended the Sturgill Simpson concert on 11/1624 with the upgraded Jewel City Club VIP. The VIP upgrade was $60, but ~$80 after fees. This included "dedicated parking". I had to call to find out more about parking. Turns out it means you park in the garage on 8th st., just east of the arena. If I hadn't called, there would be no way of knowing. There are no signs. Furthermore when I entered the garage and asked an attendant about the VIP parking I was told I just had to park anywhere I could. This meant on the top of the garage, since the 1st 2 levels had already filled up. I was there 90 minutes prior to showtime. If I had come later, there's a chance the garage would have been full, so I don't consider it "dedicated". In reality it means you get a card to use when you exit the garage to not have to pay the $5 parking fee. There were 2 areas within VIP for food and drinks. The reception room is on the smaller side and was pretty warm with all the bodies. The food included some desserts, hot dips, veggies, shrimp cocktail, lobster dip, and Oysters! Oysters are a classy touch, but seemed an odd addition to the spread. As much as I like them, I didn't dare try one. There's another area, almost like an indoor patio, which is separated from the main lobby by a metal fence. There was a bar, a smaller offering of snacks, tables and some games. It was a good place to relax and watch the people coming into the arena. The best part of the VIP was access to the clean restrooms. I never had to wait. Overall, I'm not sure it was worth $80. If I had gone in hungry tho and ate more, maybe. Probably depends on how much you'd pay to not stand in beverage and bathroom lines. The arena was pretty decent. I chose a seat in the last row corner of a middle side section. I was right beside a pillar. The sound was good, but when I would move forward, away from the pillar, I could definitely hear the sound reverberating off the back wall. I ended up sitting with friends the last 30 minutes and they were in a couple sections further away from the stage, but in the middle rows. The reverb was much more noticeable and a bit distracting, honestly. It must be an issue for every concert and I'm not sure why the arena hasn't tried to install sound absorbing materials at the back. Overall, I would do it all over again, and I had an enjoyable time.
William H — Google review
Saw Megadeth here and that's enough to rate this place 5 stars. Bring back Megadeth sooner than later. They kill live and I'll go see them any chance I get.
Ron N — Google review
Never again. The rows and sections aren't marked people just sitting where ever they want. Parking was a cluster and you pay for it. You don't have these problems in Charleston WV seeing concerts.
David R — Google review
Went to see We the Kingdom & Katy Nichole concert . It was the first concert for the 2 grandchildren. The 3 yr old loved Katy Nichole because she sings her favorite song . It was a great place to go see concerts
Gladys M — Google review
Has been a staple in Huntington, WV for quite a long time and has undergone a tremendous out of changes, some for the worse. Still don't mind going here for a concert, such as the one we just attended, Disturbed and Plush, which was well worth the money but wouldn't go out out of my way to visit this establishment otherwise.
Jay M — Google review
This place is very easy to get to. There is plenty of parking around the facility. Plus, there are a lot of eating places as well. It's easy to find your seats, wheel chair accessible.

Backyard Pizza and Raw Bar is a trendy hangout spot situated conveniently in downtown Huntington. It offers a diverse selection of specialty wood-fired pizzas with unique toppings, alongside traditional options like sausage and pepperoni. The restaurant's funky decor creates a warm ambiance for patrons to enjoy their meals. In addition to the delicious pizzas, Backyard Pizza also serves grilled oysters and has a raw bar, satisfying seafood lovers. Craft brews are available to complement the food offerings.
Highly recommend the Mac Miller Pizza! The Crab pizza is decent as well. Even though a lot of tables were empty, we waited at least 20 minutes to be seated. Food arrived timely, waitress was friendly, but the environment was very loud & dark. Overall, pricey, but good food. 2/4 of our group said they’d return to eat there again.

Want some good pizza, come by backyard pizza and raw bar! I had the Rockefeller Oysters to begin with! The flavor combinations in that dish were amazing! Topped with what looks like creamy spinach, crumbled bacon, and buttery breadcrumbs and also had some Parmesan flavors in it. Then for the pizza I had the Milano! Such creamy Alfredo sauce and the cheeses all blend together, it was like I was in ratatouille when Remy would try food! Such an amazing blend of flavors and it being from a wood stove gave the bread a beautiful char. The bread was also very fluffy and filling! Out of the entire menu there was a big selection of pizzas so when you come there will be a wide selection to pick from!

This is "Emma Stone's 'yum' gif from Easy A" good. You may be unsure about the toppings. Stop it and just pick something. I had the Pear pizza and I wish I'd gotten the bigger one so I could eat more 😭 it was surprisingly good, I'm glad I wasn't wearing socks or I'd have lost them. I also got the chocolate porter and haystack dessert. The aforementioned gif applies to all of this. 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 I cannot go and neglect to mention how sweet the staff were as well! I had so much fun there!

Cute atmosphere but the women's bathroom sink has thick mold around the rim. 😳 The food and service was amazing though. The lobster artichoke dip was delicious. 😋

Everything is cooked to order at the restaurant. Pizza is great and can be GF. The dessert Backyard Haystack is wonderful. It’s located in Huntington WV this is our dinner stopping point. It is usually packed because it is in a college town. If there anything going on in town or a football game/homecoming weekend expect a wait. Make a reservation.

When visiting Huntington I always end up at Backyard Pizza. Awesome and fluid beer selection, good vibes, and food that you crave. At least get the bread sticks...
Chris M — Google review
Spent the night in Huntington on the way home from a trip to Nashville. Had a great time at backyard pizza. Sat at the bar rather than wait for 25 minutes for a table at 6:00 on a Friday (not a football weekend). Not a problem, we are bar sitters. Both bartenders were fabulous, making sure we had what we needed. Wood fired pizza is our jam. This wasn't the best we've ever had, but certainly good. Wedge salad was large, crisp, and well topped. There was a bit of a fire on the grill that made things smokey for a bit, but no worries. I would stop by again if we are in the area.
Melissa R — Google review
One of Huntington's premier dining spots for both lunch and dinner. I love this place. The Lobster cheese sticks are out of this world, and the Brunch menu here is fantastic. You will not be disappointed at the pizza menu. An array of old favorites, as well as new, modern classics. I'm not an oyster guy, but I've heard wonderful things from friends. Try the Flying Piggie, Nashville Hot, Memphis, or the Olde New York. Drew is a super nice guy and does good for our community. Easily 5 stars.

Step into a piece of history at Jim's Steak & Spaghetti House, a beloved family-friendly restaurant that has been serving up comfort food for 75 years. While the menu has expanded to include dishes like haddock fish sandwiches and homemade pie, the star of the show is still the legendary spaghetti with homemade sauce. The walls are adorned with photos of famous visitors, adding to the historic charm.
Quaint place to eat. I had the fish and coleslaw with a side of spaghetti as I wasn't sure if the spaghetti was going to be something I'd like. Omg that sauce is off the chain! Fish and coleslaw were good but man, that spaghetti! I will definitely order the spaghetti as a main course next time. Service was great and dessert was delish.

Good eats, cheap. Great atmosphere, like going back in time to the 60's - they still have a lunch counter. Clean, comfortable, pleasant decor.
Debra M — Google review
Staff is friendly but it took a nearly an hour to get two small speghetti's which is supose to be the restaurants staple. When we received our food it did not taste good but we were so hungry we suffered through it. The sauce was beyond bland and watery. The atmosphere was fun in the sense its like an old timey diner with neat vintage decor. Im sure back in the day it was highly sought after place. I appreciate the food prices remained cheap for older crowds and those who need it but the food was just not to our liking at all. We wish them the best but won't be returning.
Angela R — Google review
Great food and service in a very unique location. The spaghetti, cole slaw, and desserts are delicious. Lots of customers that are local folks which says a lot about what kind of place this is. Not far off the interstate, plenty of parking, definitely worth checking out if you are in the area and get some sauce to go!

A Huntington Staple With Classic Down-Home Cooking Jim’s Steak and Spaghetti House is truly a Huntington staple—one of those iconic spots you have to visit at least once. The vibe is classic, nostalgic, and comforting, with that old-school charm you just can’t fake. I ordered the steak this time, but honestly, I should’ve gone with the spaghetti—the dish everyone knows and loves here. The food is simple, no-frills, down-home cooking with light, familiar flavors. The sides and rolls fit perfectly with the style of the place. If you're looking for a traditional, throwback dining experience with honest, straightforward food, Jim’s is exactly that. A must-visit for the history and the hometown feel.
Devon L — Google review
I’ve been coming to Jim’s for over a decade and just over the last few visits I’ve noticed that the tea (both sweet and unsweetened) tastes old. I’ve asked multiple times about it and they insist that it’s fresh. So that leaves me to believe that the new owners switched the tea bags they use to a far inferior product. Very disappointed in Vicky Dunn Marshall and the new owners for cutting the quality of the food! Also please stop replacing warm lights with ice cold daylight bulbs, it leads to a decay of the atmosphere.

Roosters is a casual eatery that specializes in American comfort food, particularly chicken wings. While the food is generally good, there have been instances of items being slightly burnt or overcooked. It is advisable to double-check takeout orders as the restaurant has a tendency to forget drinks, sides, and dipping sauces. However, overall, Roosters is considered a decent place to dine. The establishment becomes especially appealing when other options are limited since it stays open late.
First time eating at this restaurant and we are INSTANT fans! Great food at a good price! Plenty of tv screens for game days. Clean dining area; clean restrooms; friendly staff. 5/5 all the way around! We WILL be back!!! (Forgot to snap a pic of the appetizer, but highly recommend The Rooster Nest!)

We had a great time at Roosters. With a table of 16 people, they were able to get us seated in less than 30 minutes to accommodate our group. Our waitress was Cam, she killed it! The service was amazing. She got our drinks out quickly, our orders were correct, the food came out hot. Cam, made sure our drinks were always full and checked in often. She gave us the vip treatment. The food was amazing and the prices were even better. I highly recommend the roosters nest fries and the fried pickles to start your dinner with your friends and family. I'm so glad we stopped here on our weekend trip. This restaurant is great for a date night, family dinner with or without little ones, and great for large groups of 16. Management clearly knows what they are doing. The bar, the kitchen, hostess and weight staff are all trained extremely well staffed to handle the influx of hungry people. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!

Everything about this restaurant was AWESOME!! The atmosphere was awesome, the waitresses were friendly and great, the jokes on the walls were hilarious and the food was SO GOOD! We both had the Turkey burgers and curly fries and they were delicious! Been back since and will definitely return! The wait for some could be troublesome but because we were only two people it wasn't to bad! Hit up some shopping while you wait for them to text you, you won't regret stopping in!

This is a good place for food and drinks. I usually set outside when I visit. The servers are fast and actually remember me when I come in, and I live in VA, so I visit about once per month. I'm a suckered for pizza when I eat here, and the pizza is great, and the perfect size for 1 person. Recommended!

A great sports bar type of restaurant that is still family friendly, Roosters weirdly shines to our family for its pizzas as opposed to its chicken dishes, but everything is at least worth a try. If you’re looking for a casual dining joint before or after a movie at Pullman, this is a great option. We recommend the Meat Lovers Pizza and the Naked Cajun Rooster Fingers.

I highly enjoyed my experience at Sip Downtown Brasserie. Their wine selection is unparalleled, offering a variety of options including wines from Amador County, California. The beef medallions were succulent and bursting with flavor while the mashed red potatoes, with their skins on and topped with blue cheese, added a delightful twist. The roasted vegetables were tender and delicious, complementing the main dish perfectly. A simple side salad dressed in ranch dressing completed the meal.
Every time we visit Sip, I wonder why we don't eat here more often. The food, service, and ambiance are always top-notch. I really appreciate a place where the owner makes rounds through the dining area interacting with guests. They offer wine and bourbon flights for reasonable prices. They also feature some local beers on tap. For a quality dining experience in Huntington, Sip is easily one of the best places in town.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Huntington. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. 10/10 recommend! We went in on Valentines Day and were very impressed. We will be returning. The wine flights were so good- you get 3 flights and it’s nice to have a taste is different wines instead of 1 glass of 1 wine.

Last night for valentines dinner we had no where to go. Then we stumble onto the hidden gem of Huntington Sip Downtown Brasserie! This place is simply amazing in all the ways you would want it to be. The ambience, food, an amazing live singer ( Lee Dean sings ) and the owners what can I say they are real down to earth people! They sit next to us with their dinner, and I truly enjoyed the casual convo! I’ve never had an owner sit down and talk to me before let alone make me feel at home. This place is truly amazing, and I would recommend this Hidden Gem to anyone! You will not be disappointed trust me 💯💯💯💯

My husband and I went this evening for an early Valentine's Day dinner, and the food was amazing! I got the blackened ahi tuna salad, and he got the fried chicken. We also got the fried olives and the bread pudding donut. ALL of it was absolutely incredible! The olives were such a unique but tasty appetizer! Something we'd never tried before. Both of our meals were by far some of the best food I have had since moving to the valley last June. The tuna was so fresh and perfectly cooked. And the fried chicken grits and kale... best by far. And I got the salad so I could have the bread pudding, and it was so worth it!!

what a gem of a restaurant in huntington! dishes were perfectly sized so we could enjoy them without food waste. the flavors were amazing and i wish i could've eaten everything! atmosphere is intimate and somehow feels "big city" with excellent waitstaff--people who really enjoy and take pride in their job. my friends from out of town couldn't stop talking about their experience and it definitely showed them huntington's food scene is top notch! yes we DID get four appetizers 😂

Stumbled upon this little gem while out walking. I was not disappointed. My server’s recommendations did not fail me. I cannot compliment this place enough. The old fashioned was so good I had to get another. When I asked about the burger she said it was the best in town and she was not lying. The chef brought it to me and introduced herself. The shrimp cocktail is “to die for”! I’m here occasionally for work and I will be back! Thank you everyone for outstanding service!

Went here for a date night and had a pleasant time. The service was friendly, and knowledgeable. Several whisky/bourbon flights to choose from - highly recommend. My wife had the wine flight and found a new favorite (Quady Red Electra). For an appetizer we had the crab dip, which has nice chunks of crab meet and very savory. For entrees, my wife had the strip, and I had the shrimp and sweet potato grits - both well prepared and delicious. The atmosphere was calm and laid back. Highly recommend checking out Sip of you get a chance.

Seafood restaurant
Red Lobster is a vibrant chain eatery that offers classic American seafood dishes in a New England-inspired setting. The restaurant provides prompt seating and welcomes guests with friendly service. The waitstaff, known for their attentiveness, constantly ensures that patrons' drinks are refilled and serves a continuous supply of bread. The menu features delectable items such as the exceptional Cajun chicken linguini.
I used to teach customer service classes many years ago and have written papers on it. I know good customer service when I see it…which isn’t very often in today’s society. My wife will tell you that in all my 54 years, I’ve only seen 5 that were text book perfect…until Saturday, August 2nd. Our server, McKensi was just unbelievable! She was so pleasant and personable. She had a great sense of humor and was extremely patient with us. I always try to pick people apart to find their customer service “mistakes”, but I truly couldn’t find any with McKensi. She also made great eye contact and knew every item on the menu. If the organization that I work for ever takes off our hiring freeze, I’m going to try and steal her away! :)

Please don’t ever get rid of your seafood boils. I used to rarely visit but I’m frequenting your restaurant now. I feel like I’ve made a friend in one of your servers named Andrew. He’s the best!

Service was exceptional! Our waiter, Dave, was so helpful with any questions we had about the menu. He made sure we were happy and that our food came out as ordered and perfect. We enjoyed great food and had a wonderful time and will be returning!

The service was awesome atmosphere was amazing the people were great. Some of the food was awesome and the crab legs just were not very good. They seem to be reboiled and they were tough they wouldn't break or crack at all. The manager went and took some new ones which made it better. My platter had some shrimp smaller than an eraser on a pencil so to mean it doesn't seem they take pride in their food as much money as they charge

On Sunday Evening of October 12th around 6:30pm, I received the best service and greeting from the lovely redhead hostess, I’m not to sure of her name but she was so polite and sweet to have a conversation with , she told me that she has not been there for very long but she enjoyed working there. Red Lobster whatever you do don’t fire this lovely lady, you guys need more people like her!!! My server was also just lovely like the host, the staff there is just overall amazing, keep up the great work Red Lobster!!!

Huntington Red Lobster has wonderful service and the food is always good. Keanna was our server and she knocked it out of the park! We like the different selections that provide something for those who may not be into seafood.

American restaurant
Savannah's Bistro, a charming eatery housed in a romantic setting, offers elevated American cuisine with a touch of French influence. The overall experience at this restaurant is highly enjoyable, thanks to its impeccable ambiance and attentive service. The intimate and cozy atmosphere adds to the allure. The staff members are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. While some dishes may not meet expectations considering their price point, standout options like the crab cakes and scallops leave a lasting impression with their exceptional taste.
Overall, Savannah's is a great experience. The atmosphere and service are top notch. It is quaint and intimate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food, however, is not quite as good as expected for the price. The crab cakes and scallops are exceptional. The steak, despite being high priced, do not seem high end quality. The meat itself is the weak point. The cook is good and sauce is delicious. Maybe the quality of supply of filets has diminished. I am not sure, but other places have better quality for a better price. The chicken Normandy is another high point. I would recommend trying Savannah's but staying away from the steak.

First class establishment. A great place for anniversaries, birthdays, special occasions, or just a very special evening with the person you care about. Food is absolutely first rate. Service is excellent, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Be sure to visit the Bristo downstairs.

The service is great and the food is really good! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because they were out of so many items on the menu on this particular evening. (4 items on the night of our visit including crab cakes, salad, pasta dish, and dessert) At the same time - We were so glad to visit a restaurant in the area where they take care of the table and anything taken home is actually boxed up for the customer. This action is lovely in comparison to being handed a take home container. Also, being allowed to sample the wine before the full pour is another great touch to the dining experience. Finally, I do wish that the portion size of the Chicken Oscar was a touch larger considering the price. Still, it was super yummy!

I have made reservations twice for homecoming and prom and the staff does a great job taking care of the big party number. The food is great and came out fast, especially for the number of orders placed. I recommend the salmon!

This is our second time at Savannah’s. It’s such a beautiful place! The food and drinks are incredible. This place is a must. We will be back.

Savannahs Bistro is truly a gem of Huntington. From the excellent staff to the atmosphere, it's an experience that's hard to match in the tri-state area, and that's before we even mention the food. The menu is wonderful, and even brunch here can be quite the experience (highly recommend the brunch if you want a quiet atmosphere.) Be warned that such a wonderful resteraunt can carry a price to match, so this may be more of a special destination for many than a weekly treat. But whatever you come here for, you won't regret it. And I'm sure you'll be back.

I really enjoyed the Grilled New Zealand Rack of Lamb. It was perfectly cooked, and expertly seasoned with fresh herbs from the property. Unfortunately, they had just come back from vacation, so the 31 day aged steaks and Tiramisu were not available, but I'll come back to try those some time.

Definitely in the top 2 places I have ever eaten. Great food, drinks and service. Not crowded. Presentation of the dishes were amazing.
