Hopelands Gardens is a 14-acre estate in Aiken, known for its picturesque beauty and rich history. Once the private gardens of Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin, this tranquil public garden features old oak trees, cedars, a koi pond, fountains, and enchanting holiday lights. The estate offers children's story time and hosts free concerts on its performance stage.
A few years ago my lovely wife took me to Hopelands Gardens. This was my first visit there, and it was a very nice, relaxing walk around the grounds! Very enjoyable. We didn't get to explore everywhere due to my mobility issues, but I felt like we did cover a lot of the grounds. I didn't have my camera, and I wish I did, but cell phone cameras are really pretty high quality these days. I look forward to another visit, probably next Spring!
Kurt W — Google review
Several times a year we visit the serenity here. Spring is our favorite. Everyone enjoys the music and lights at Christmas, everyone loves the colors of Fall, but the magic of Spring and all of the turtles, the flowers, the Koi pond and the crisp newness of the promise of our new year, this is my absolute favorite. You can walk the paths, sit on the benches, bird watch fish watch or swing on the swings up on the hill or walk your dog or have a small picnic. The most relaxing place in aiken sc !

Great place to take photos and create memories by feeding fish or visiting the historic parts.

Absolutely amazing. Very scenic and excellent layout. There is an abundance of wildlife. Very peaceful
Meika — Google review
How fun to find a botanical garden in the middle of Aiken. Enjoyed a picnic lunch there. There's also a horse racing museum there, but wasn't open on the Wednesday we were there.
Nan S — Google review
Beautiful place to walk in nature and among the trees! And see one of the horses.
Lucky D — Google review
Very beautiful and peaceful place to take a walk and view history of Aiken. You can bring your dog too. I will go back when the flowers are in bloom. We saw giant coy fish, turtles, big bullfrog and many butterflies and birds. Such a special place for Aiken to have and share for free with visitors.

The Aiken County Historical Museum, housed in a former winter colony mansion known as Banksia, offers an elegant and captivating journey through the history of Aiken County. The museum features diverse exhibits including the county's golf course, local pottery, and the Savannah River Site. Visitors can explore various rooms such as the Aiken County Room, Winter Colony Room, Circus Room, Graniteville Room, Agricultural Room, and Nature Room to view historical artifacts.
Our guide, Alecia, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Very interesting museum to visit. No admission charge, but worth giving a donation at the end

Honestly, I stopped into this quiet, hidden gem completely on a whim. My gracious, what a wonderful museum! Several small communities were completely displaced by the Savannah River Site installation; many of the items are saved and on display here. An ENTIRE Pharmacy, complete with Soda Fountain of housed in the basement! It's just a phenomenal time capsule of days that aren't so really long ago. Don't miss this amazing slice of Aiken history!

This is a lovely county historical museum located in a beautiful 1930s "addition" to an older 1800s mansion. Aiken is known for the Winter Colony of the wealthy New York crowd for a period before the turn of the last century. Banksia, the name of the mansion that houses the museum, was a 13000 square foot addition to a previous 3500 square foot home on the property. The museum holds the story of Aiken from it's founding up through the present day. So, whether your a regular visitor to Aiken for the horse culture, or just passing through and wondering what the region is all about, the Aiken Historical Museum is the perfect place to learn.

This is a beautiful house and grounds. It's now a museum but it was once a house for the Howe family. Beautiful

Great local history location to visit while in Aiken area. We enjoyed our self guided tour and the information available in each room of this house/ museum. Plus, a local quilt show was on display the same weekend we were there!! Museum door greeters were very helpful as we entered. We got to know Aiken history a bit better after touring this museum.

Restaurant
Located in Aiken, South Carolina, Neon Fig offers a modern twist on classic Indian cuisine. The restaurant serves an exotic array of delicious dishes that cater to lovers of Indian food. Their menu includes items like the Farro Bowl, Grilled Fish Tacos, and Salmon Bagel. With its unique take on traditional Indian flavors, Neon Fig is a must-visit for those looking to explore new culinary experiences in Aiken.
I tried Neon Fig after a friend recommended the restaurant. They have an outdoor dining area which is nice. Since I dined during lunch hours, I can only attest to their breakfast and lunch choices which were great! I definitely would return. The restaurant is a great place to experience different menu options that aren’t offered in your typical southern restaurant.

I wanted to express my appreciation for the excellent service and culinary experience at our restaurant. We have consistently maintained a clean and welcoming environment, which sets the tone for a great dining experience. The staff's quick service and friendly demeanor have been impressive, and the culinary team has exceeded my expectations with their perfectly prepared dishes. Over the past week, I have had the pleasure of dining here four times, and I am thoroughly impressed with the consistency and quality of our offerings. I believe our restaurant is a valuable asset to the community of Aiken.

Loved the food and service; great place for brunch! There's plenty of seating inside, but we sat outdoors- it was a beautiful, sunny day. I had the shrimp n grits (delicious), my hubby had the grilled cheese & brisket sandwich with fries (he loved it), and our child had pancakes (good portion-she did not eat it all). They have mimosas of various flavors; you can get "bottomless" if you like that. Definitely recommend trying it out.
A H — Google review
Really great place. Friendly staff. The food was delicious. I got the French toast & my husband got the brisket grilled cheese. My only complaint is the breakfast menu is pretty small & limited - no waffles or pancakes, and no variety of syrups or jams. The beignets were exceptional, highly recommend. They have numerous vegetarian & vegan options as well!
Hope G — Google review
This restaurant came highly recommended from the staff at the visitor center. We parked at the visitor center and train museum, spent some time there and enjoyed ourselves, and then walked a short four blocks to the neon fig. The day was beautiful so we sat outside, which was the right choice. Quiet street, lined with magnolia trees, on a picture perfect day. Kate was our server and was tremendous, perhaps a little too attentive, but took great care of us. I had the quinoa power bowl with the house, cured salmon. Absolutely delicious and the right choice on a cool spring day.
Roger P — Google review
We had one of the best servers Makenzi H. Thank you for your great service. We ordered the shrimp and grits, spicy chicken and waffles, and loaded potatoes. It all was good and full of flavor. There signature hot sauce i must say is the best. Even sitting outside was very relaxing.
Tay — Google review
I have been here 3 times and everytime has been a fantastic experience! Twice for brunch and once for dinner and i am very happy with the amount of selections on both menus. Servers are always so freindly and happy to make recommendations. It has become out favorite brunch spot and we will be going back! 😄

Had the hummus appetizer, that was a little mixed on that. The hummus was good but they had edamame on top of it. Wasn't crazy about that. Had the chicken salad BLT, oh my gosh, was that good. Very good cocktails as well

Whiskey Alley is a cozy eatery situated in The Alley, at the heart of Aiken's vibrant Downtown area. The restaurant offers a variety of small plates, salads, and entrees like roasted ricotta gnocchi, filet medallions, fish and chips, burgers, and vegetable plates. Despite its name, City Billiards is actually a full-menu restaurant with some pool tables and has been around since 1957.
Service was great! G was very helpful with all the recommendations. Sunday lunch with some live music out on the side. Had a charcuterie board with some amazing meats and cheeses with a side of olives. Drinks Michelada and Irish Whiskey Coffee. Prices very very high on the Whiskey and Drinks. Originally went for the fish and Chips but price for a piece of fish and French fries was $28. Cool atmosphere.

One of the only places in town to get different! Consistent menus changes with great food to me is key to a successful restaurant. We eat out A LOT locally to support our restaurants and eating the same menu items for over 3-5 months gets mundane. No worries here bc they are always changing the menu! Want something a little exotic they have that too! My favorite non alcoholic bev is the Easy H8MP Co spicy marg! Crush it! We have been two weeks in a row and I highly recommend the pork chops. They are delicious. I ate them both weeks. Everybody in my party absolutely thought there. Entrées were delicious as well. Whiskey Alley has the best bourbon the best drinks and the best service in Aiken go give them a try!
John B — Google review
I stopped by and had the fish and chips—and wow, it did not disappoint! The flavor, texture, and freshness were all top-notch. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients is above average, and while the price was a bit higher than some places, it was absolutely worth it for what you get. The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt laid-back but refined. I’ve heard from several people that the burger here is the best in town, so I’m definitely planning to come back and try it for myself. This place is a gem—great food, great vibes, and clearly a place that takes pride in what they serve. Highly recommend!

I ordered the salad - the 'lil" one and some of the leaves were a bit slimy as well as the cucumber slices. The dressing had a good flavor. Our hot pepperoni/salami sub was very lite on meat. Like a slice of each on each half. The wait staff was amazing. Cute bottle idea for water.

First time visiting Aiken and walked in on a Thursday night around 7 pm. They had a table available for us inside, but busy enough that we were asked if we had reservations. Ambiance, food and service was excellent. Definitely will visit again next time we're in Aiken.

This was our first visit to Whiskey Alley and wow, completely blown away by the entire experience. We went to celebrate our anniversary and were first greeted by flowers and a signed card on our table! All the staff that we came into contact with were friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be returning!

On a Saturday night, Whiskey Alley was very busy so we elected to be seated in the enclosed outdoor backroom. Menu selection was good and our selected entrees and cocktails did not disappoint. This area of Aiken was a very busy social gathering place and would be great for people watching. Parking was at a premium and we found parking a few blocks away... the walk to Whiskey Alley was enjoyable.

Whiskey Alley never disappoints. Daniel and Halsie behind the bar are incredible, welcoming, attentive, and truly passionate about what they do. They make you feel like a regular the moment you sit down. The espresso martini is the best in town and their whiskey knowledge is next-level. If you get the chance to be served by Daniel or Halsie, you’re in great hands!

Nestled in the heart of Aiken, South Carolina, Mellow Mushroom Aiken is a vibrant pizzeria that perfectly blends creativity with comfort. This funky eatery boasts an eclectic decor filled with art and offers a diverse menu featuring stone-baked pizzas, calzones, and an impressive selection of craft beers. Locals from nearby Clearwater, Graniteville, and Windsor flock to this beloved spot for its delicious offerings.
My family and I ate at Mellow mushroom the other day and I was pretty satisfied. I didn't like the presentation of the wings. I felt like they could have mixed them in the sauce, but hey I don't mind getting my fingers a little messy. The pizza was hot and tasted great. We had meat lovers and chicken buffalo. Let me tell you the chicken buffalo is not for lactose intolerant folks.

Fun, funky, pizza shop. Great drink selection, and the pizza is delicious. A small 10" is perfect for 1 person. They have some funky pizza's that will knock your socks off. We entered on the back side where the patio is, on Whisky Alley, you cant miss the place with giant mushrooms and the Grateful Dead Dancing beers. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was busy, but there were plenty of tables available. Parking is pretty easy on the street, We were there beginning of March so it was off season. There was a kids birthday party going on while we were there, so we all sang happy birthday. The staff were on top of things and attentive to the table.

Place has gone downhill. I ordered a pineapple and ham pizza for pickup. Went to pay for it with gift card, they wouldn’t even accept it. The topping distribution is the worst I’ve seen. A toddler could put toppings on a pizza better. Some pizza doesn’t even have pineapple on it. I would expect better if I’m paying $30 for the pizza
Pmoney 5 — Google review
I ordered the house pizza no tomatoes. I must admit I’m disappointed in the presentation of this pie. The toppings could’ve been distributed evenly across the entire pie. It appears to have been just thrown together.
LaToya S — Google review
It's quite a good place to go with friends. Great pub food. Trivia night is Tuesdays and it's fun (especially if you win). It does get loud though, so go on a different night if you want to have a quiet conversation.

I don't go out often because I have bad social anxiety. But Bee was the sweetest most patient and kind server I've ever had. She listened to all my needs and took care of me with a smile that never faded.

The service was great. The pizza was a complete bust. Not hit and cheese not even melted. Ask to see a manager and none would come forward. Got a $10 discount (big deal). Not going back.

The calzone was terrible. Dough was soggy n it had ricotta inside only on one side so most of The calzone was just bread. The marina sauce was very soupy n way too sweet. My friend ordered the same thing and said the same thing. Very disappointed Last time I was there the food was good. We had to chase the waitress down for silverware to eat. Definitely won't go back again

Italian restaurant
Casa Bella is a charming restaurant located in a Victorian mansion, offering a cozy and homey atmosphere to enjoy old-world Northern Italian cuisine. The property was originally a ladies clothing store before being transformed into the restaurant it is today by the current owners, Arlene and Joe Ianelli. Chef Joe prepares classic Italian dishes such as zuppa di pesce, osso buco, and the favorite eggplant rollatini.
First time here. Food and service were great. It wasn't busy so I can't really say if that would change if they were. Loved the quaintness of the restaurant that was a 1890s house.
Brian K — Google review
We really enjoyed our first time here. Very nice atmosphere. Nicely greeted. The food was delicious!!! I had the special....eggplant and veal parmesan with pasta and my husband had a pasta and sausage dish. Next time I will ask for less sauce but it was good. The calamari could have been crunchier but still had a good flavor. We will definitely be going back!!!
P C — Google review
An old friend of mine invited me out with her husband while I was visiting Aiken. She recommended casa Bella as it was one of her husband's favorites and since I had not had Italian for quite a while it was perfectly fine with me. Located in downtown Aiken Casa Bella is literally a repurposed house serving final Italian cuisine. The restaurant has a wonderful wine list and if you don't know what to have with dinner, the server will be more than happy to provide a suggestion. We started dinner with calamari and mushroom fries, which are a large portobello mushroom 10 into strips lightly breaded and fried. Both excellently done. I ordered lasagna, my friend ordered veal Marsala, and her husband had a special of the day chicken with dehydrated tomatoes and peppers. The veal and chicken dishes were well received. I am the other hand was slightly disappointed with the lasagna. Although a very healthy portion with a lovely sauce and lots of meat, there's an apparent lack of cheese. Look at the photograph and tell me you see any ricotta. I didn't see any of the wait staff nor our waiter for quite some time after lasagna had been placed in front of me. So I continued on with eating and by time our waiter showed up I was well through halfway done and didn't bring up the matter. Overall, dinner was well received by all and conversation catching up on old times and discussions of current affairs made up for lack of cheese. This is nothing to not recommend or find fault with the restaurant, and I would consider returning, if I get back to Aiken.
Dr D — Google review
Would say it was a 5 star experience, I got something to try that was not to my taste, but it was me branching out. The risotto was phenomenal the veg of the day was green beans and they were well seasoned and crisp. The potato soup was good enough to be a stand alone meal, and the bread with the oil and roasted garlic paired well with everything. The show stopper was really the crème Brûlée, with a nice cappuccino to accompany. It had a excellent crust, and was simple and delicious. Want to comment on our server. He was also wonderful.
James H — Google review
What a great restaurant, I had spaghetti and meatballs and my wife have pasta primavera. Both were excellent. And dog friendly on the beautiful patio.
Bernie C — Google review
Maybe my expectations were too high? We typically go to another ‘nice-ish’ restaurant when in town but thought we’d try here. Our group of 8 put in a small room upstairs which was nice for privacy and ambiance but HOT. It was at least 10 degrees cooler when we left the room. Our server was patient and did well taking orders and getting checks right. My Veal Marsala was room temperature even almost close to cool (as were most other dishes noted by my dinner mates). We had already waited so long for our food I didn’t want to complain or send back… I probably should have. It was not very flavorful (I’ve had at many restaurants so have a good palate to compare), a tad more chewy than tender and the pasta that came with it just plain noodles. The house salad was fine and bread was highlight of meal. We came, we tried but alas we probably won’t return. I wish I had a picture of food but didn’t want to see rude in front of my dinner party. Perhaps it was an off night- ciao bella.
Elizabeth S — Google review
Arrived at a Saturday night with no reservation so I'm taking that into consideration. However, at the time we arrived, the restaurant was not busy and many tables were empty. We were greeted at sat and told by the hostess that she would be back with menus. It took about 15 minutes for her to return. The entire service experience was mediocre at best. Food: Chicken Marsala was very salty. Chicken picotta was good. Overall, environment was nice, lot of potential given the history but this particular experience left much to be desired.
Carlos C — Google review
Loved the steak. I had the Chicken Marsala, not as flavorful as I would have liked but still tasty. Service was good, and timely. We will go back.

Nestled in the heart of Aiken, The Pizza Joint is a vibrant local restaurant and bar chain that specializes in crafting delicious brick-oven pizzas, calzones, and sandwiches. This casual eatery offers a welcoming atmosphere perfect for families and friends alike. During my visit, I was drawn to their Detroit-style pizza after hearing rave reviews from both a friend and the attentive waitress—who certainly knows her stuff!
Good outdoor seating for us and the dogs. The food came out pretty quick and was delicious. Large portions great to take home for left overs.

I had such a great experience! From the warm welcome to the relaxing ambiance, everything was just right. Their Hawaiian pizza was an absolute standout - perfectly crisp crust, just the right amount of sweet pineapple balanced with savory ham, and a delicious sauce that brought it all together. The staff were attentive without being pushy, and the overall vibe made it a fun and comfortable night out. I'll definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

Stopped here with friends and had a great experience. The service was prompt and friendly, and the prices were extremely reasonable. We had pizza and calzones and everything came out hot and fresh and was very tasty. The calzones were large and filled with lots of cheese and toppings. They came with a side of marinara sauce that was very good as well. The pizzas had a great crust....medium thin on the bottom and thicker on the edges. They make their crusts each day and they are much better than pre-made crusts. The pizzas had plenty of cheese and toppings as ordered and tasted yummy. We will definitely go back again soon. Parking is right in front of the building or across the street, and there is a wheelchair ramp near the front of the building.

We always have dinners for special occasions at the Wilcox. The service and atmosphere is excellent. The old hotel is charming especially if you sit in the lobby. Try the Wilcox Gin and Tonic. Don’t be afraid that it is a little purple. It’s meant to be that way. The food is good but could be a little better. Same with the service. It is higher end but they could use just a bit more training. All in all…. I would go if you are in the Aiken area. It is firmly on the Aiken bucket list.

I really wanted to like this place. We have a Lake house here in Aiken and visit periodically. This occasion was for my husbands birthday. We played a few rounds of golf and then grabbed dinner ant the Willcox afterwards. The ambience is nice, but we were squished at a two seated table, with another table right next to us. We had no privacy, or intimacy. We could hear their conversation the entire time. It did not feel romantic whatsoever. The service was okay, it took a while to initially track our server down. The wine selection was nice. However the food was awful. The steak was overcooked and tasted like cilantro. It was very overpowering. I would come back to drink here and ask for a different table. I most certainly would not dine here again, especially for a special occasion.

A lovely dinner at the Willcox. We have been a few times, and the Sixty South Salmon never disappoints. A nice environment with friendly staff. The only downside was the black truffle gratin that came with the fillet. My spouse said it was good but underseasoned (only item not eaten). I had the dessert special, cookies and cream gelato, delicious. 🍴 House chips and blue. cheese dip 🍴 Sixty South Salmon 🍴 CAB 6oz fillet 🥄 Cookies and Cream Gelato

First I have to mention the wheelchair entrance is on the side by the pool. We came for Saturday brunch and everything was fantastic. The salmon poke was to die for with in-house made taro chips. The flavors were an explosion in your mouth! The eggs Benedict, avocado toast and catfish po boy & fries were ok. They were far outshined by the poke!! No complaints and our waitress was very sweet. Can't wait to be able to come back.

A friend and I drove from Columbia to celebrate our birthdays. We were treated royally! The service was impeccable and the food and drinks were amazing. The BLT was probably the best I’ve ever had. The Calamari was the most tender and delicious. Everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

5 star service from the the car to the table. Valet attendants were kind and helpful. They had a beautiful lobby with live piano accompaniment to set a beautiful atmosphere. We arrived early and were offered early seating or drinks at the bar. Our waiter, Tristan, was highly attentive and provided us with helpful recommendations for our meal choices. Everything we ate was delicious! We also appreciated the small touches of several staff commenting on our anniversary, a small note, and drinks from the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend and look forward to coming back in the future.

We are shrimp and grits aficionados and have tried shrimp and grits at countless restaurants. The shrimp and grits at The Willcox is in our top 5, maybe top 3. We also had steak tacos, another dish that we have tried at many restaurants. Again, The Willcox has it figured out. We don't usually get dessert, but we're won over by the description of their lemon-raspberry Crème brûlée.

We had the best brunch here as a birthday celebration. Jason was an incredible server and easy to talk to. Bruce was also very accommodating. We definitely enjoyed our time and will be back!

The fields are clean. They fenced in the fields which results in less chasing the ball and downtime. The latrines were clean. They hav a small splash pad. It also has a nice walking trail around some of the fields. It was a great experience.

Fields are in great shape majority of the time. I like how the playground is inside of the circle of fields. Keeps the kids close to you while watching games. Men's restrooms were nasty. Smelt like fermented pee.

One of the best parks in the area. Lovely place to just sit and enjoy the weather. Always something going on out here. Sports and family everywhere. Great place to just park and enjoy the marvelous view.

Great for walking or jogging. Its about .8 miles around the soccer field area. Not heavily congested w/people. Bathrooms are currently open. Very well kept/maintained. Pets welcome as long as they're on a leash. My new exercise spot.

The playgrounds are decently clean, wasn't trash everywhere, I'm thankful water fountains actually work, the playground is pretty safe as well, only thing is that the playground is sticky but I think that's normal for kids

Fantastic park with lots to do. Playground is very nice with activities adults can do with their children and some creative structures, the trail has a lot of shade due to the many beautiful trees, and the community center has great staff and tons of activities and programs that look like a lot of fun for all ages. The disc golf course is very accessible to new players while having challenge for seasoned players.

Brewery
Aiken Brewing Company is a cozy brewpub that offers a rotating selection of handcrafted beers and a menu with pub-style dishes. Despite some outdated menu items, visitors can still enjoy delicious options like hot dogs, fries, Philly cheese steak, and beef steak wrap. The downtown location tends to get busy quickly, especially on weekends. While the beer selection may be limited at times due to maintenance issues, their Thoroughbred Red is highly recommended.
Nice downtown spot. I was here on a Saturday, right after 12. It was full by 12:30. The beer is pretty good. They had a cooler down, so only had about 5 beers on draft. Their Thoroughbred Red was the best bet on tap by far. I had a cheeseburger and salad. Both were good, and I had no regrets with my order.

Almost to good to be true! Our server was friendly, attentive and quick. We had amazing food, with fresh ingredients, delicious recipes and dishes. Our refreshments made for a truly great afternoon.

Stopped in while in Aiken. Wonderful little brewery! Had to opportunity to chat with the Head Brewer which was super cool. All the beer was excellent, very bright and flavorful. They also have 3 Great American Beer Fest medals so that speaks for itself. Highly recommend checking it out.

Arrived and seated right away. Robby was our waiter. He was on top of things. There were 4 of us and we used the online web page to peak at the menu. They had a very nice dinner menu posted and we were looking forward to some steaks and scallops. Unfortunately they don't due anything from that menu any longer. That really needs updated. We choose to stay and had a very nice dinner. Nice hot dog with kraut, Cher's fries, Philly cheese steak, and a beef steak wrap. All were very tasty.

Service was great…Lemon pepper wings excellent. Beer was bland IMO, had the Red which had a great flavor but no “bite”. Onion rings were cold:(

We came in at 11ish party of 5 seated right away, orders taken promptly and the placed filled up with people so fast. Took a little bit 2get our food but they were totally hit offguard with all the people. The club sandwiches and Caesars salad were sooo good. Service was great, thx again guys!

Chill atmosphere, friendly bar staff, great beer. The menu has a bunch of cool and vegetarian friendly stuff on it. The pretzels, although not made 100% in house (the beer cheese was!) Were really tasty!! Met the owner Rob, he was super friendly! Everyone in south Carolina has something with the tree and moon on it, for these guys it's the napkins. I love it! If our state flag (alabama) was that cool we'd put it everywhere too. They have a beer mug Club and for $50 a year you get a 20 ounce pour instead of a pint and your own mug, it's too bad they sold out in the first six hours of 2017!
S T — Google review
I had the Honey wheat. It was almost tasty. It seemed to be a little bland. It lacked any carbonation. It was like drinking watered down apple juice. The guy next to me had the IPA but that too was lacking carbonation and flavor as well. My wife had a wine. We ordered 2 sandwiches both were average. Very disappointed since my beer group was here last year and said it was good. They sold more domestic bottles than their own beer while we were here. I've never used meh in a review till today.

My mom could not be home this Mother’s Day so I looked up where she has been staying while her van gets fixed and found this great place to surprise her. Order online was easy and asked if they would make it special by hand writing a special note and they went above and beyond. Thank you so much for doing that it meant alot to her and I. She loved the food and Beet Smoothie. Also very dog friendly.

We dined and on a Saturday afternoon around 1 o’clock. We both ordered soup and got a tea as we were not very hungry. The restaurant was not very busy at this time. The staff were not very friendly. Our soup was so bland and I’m sure I will not be back.

We stopped at New Moon this afternoon for lunch after walking around downtown on a beautiful day. Nice little cafe, not a lot of seating. Friendly people and good service. I had the G-Love sandwich, London broil, provolone and onions, and it was good but not really meaty. My lovely wife had the Boss Lady's Chicken Salad and said it was fresh and delicious. But the star of the show was what we took to-go and ate when we got home. Two brown sugar cinnamon muffins! I wish we bought a few more. Maybe next time!

Just passing through and wanted some brunch on the way home. Found this super cute place. Very inviting, friendly people and the food was delicious. I got the smoked salmon on an everything bagel. Definitely one of the best I’ve had. The dill made it so fresh and delightful. The vanilla latte hit the spot and my guys breakfast sandwich was incredible. Fluffy cheesy eggs and the croissant was warm and flaky. If we are ever in the area again we will go back

This is the epitome of a local coffee shop. Fabulous servers and wonderful atmosphere contribute to an artistic sense of the town. My iced latte order was a bit complicated but the server was so kind and even offered alternatives. The croissant was warm, buttery, flaky and just the right accompaniment. I look forward to going back to this shop the next time I'm in town.

Visiting from out of town, wanted a smoothie, decided to go here and I’m glad we did. Great place, lots of local art for sale, great friendly staff and a delicious menu. The Aiken County Farmers Market is a must-visit destination in Aiken, South Carolina. Located on Williamsburg Street and steeped in history, this market offers an array of fresh produce including fruits, vegetables, and crops that showcase the city's agricultural heritage. With over 50 years of tradition, it brings together local farmers and businesses to provide visitors with a wide variety of farm-fresh goods.
Bobbie with Enchanted Hook Crochet makes the cutest things not only for kids but for adults as well. She also will take custom orders. Her daughter makes customs earings as well. They are definitely worth seeking out the next time you're at the market.

Very disappointed that our farmers market has turned into a retail market. Years ago everyone there actually grew and harvested and made what they sold. And it was truly fruits and vegetables perishable goods. Now you can buy tie-dye T-shirts and other things. It's not a true farmer's market anymore.
Morris L — Google review
Do not waste your time. They claim they are open Tues, Thursday, Sat. We just went today 5/29/25 Thursday. Arrived at 9:50 am and there were no vendors there except for two people with enough vegetables to maybe fill half a shopping cart. Big disappointment. They get one star because you can’t post with less.

Seafood market
Charlie's Fish Market is Aiken's oldest restaurant, operating since 1909 and located at its present spot since 1985. While most customers opt for takeout, there are also tables available for dining in. Visitors have raved about the unique flavor of the fish, particularly enjoying the combination of mustard and hot sauce as a condiment. The market is known for its excellent service, with an older Greek lady and a polite gentleman with an accent receiving special mentions from patrons.
My son introduced me to this spot about 3 years ago and every time I'm in Aiken I stop buy to get fish. I love the service provided by the owner and her staff. It's always a pleasure to visit and eat here. The price is good as well.

I dont know how this place is still open. No one greets you to take your order they just look at you like you crazy. One frying pan to cook the same fish orders. Who knows when the oil was changed. Stood there for like 5 mins with no knowledgement. Mama looked lost doing the orders. Mama needs to retire and enjoy the rest of her life. VERY SLOWWWWWWWWW.

One worker inparticular in this so called establishment was condescending and a very unprofessional with an attitude. I went in to ask some questions regarding the type of fish sold as l am from up north where l am more familiar with. My questions were answered abruptly without concern. Not a problem l will have fish shipped on dry ice before l buy a damn thing from this place.

Love love love this place, this is the only fish house in Aiken I go to. The older gentle man with an accent the cleans the fish is the best worker in there hands down! He’s always polite in person and over the phone. I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes for my fish to be descaled, gutted and cleaned to perfection!

I used to live in Aiken for a little over a year and worked down the road. I stopped in several times and had some of the best fish I have ever had. I always thought mustard and hot sauce on fish was weird, but then I had it and it was great! Only place that I have ever had that. Unique gem for sure, loved the older Greek lady who worked there!

Nestled at the corner of Barnwell and Laurens, Betsy's Round the Corner is a charming eatery that captures the essence of classic American dining. This delightful café offers a menu filled with mouthwatering burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and ever-changing blue-plate specials—all crafted from scratch to ensure freshness and flavor. Whether you choose to dine indoors or enjoy your meal outside under an inviting umbrella, you'll be greeted by friendly staff who are eager to make your experience memorable.
Since me to the area,we have made it a point to try as many local restaurants as we can. Betsy's Round the Corner was next on our list to try. It's one of those You Could Walk Past it and never know it's there , that would be a huge mistake. Eat inside or dine out side under an umbrella. The staff is super friendly and quick. Place your order first and then sit down. I recommend the pimento cheese dip. It's amazing. They have changing blue plate special and a lot of be unique items. The entire place is very charming. We will definitely be back. Btw. Ice cream and craft beer a plenty.

Traveling through Aiken and found this cute little diner! Friendly staff! Burger and fries was delicious. My husband had the Murphy dog (chili was more like taco meat though) he said it was ok Upstairs was closed off however, there was plenty of seating indoors. There’s also outdoor tables with umbrellas if you prefer that dining experience. We had chocolate malts! They tasted alittle different than any we’ve ever had.

Great local fair. Lunch time crowd, fairly busy. Ordered at the counter. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Mostly self service. Burger and fries were good. I would order again. Soup was good, sandwich is what you would expect. . The brownie better than average. Love the atmosphere and the employees are helpful and friendly.

Arrived at restaurant around 3:15 ET, Tues Aug 20. It took a couple of minutes before someone approached me to see if anyone was getting me seated. I was wondering around a bit, taking pictures. Not sure if that caused any confusion. Once recognized I was seated promptly. The drink order was filled in under two minutes. I ordered Tuesday's blue plate special; pot roast with “mushroom" gravy. I selected the mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables for sides. It comes with a corn muffin. The meal was delivered pretty quickly. The pot roast was not unique in its taste, but was well prepared and flavorful. It was tender, with a slight amount of pink here and there. The brown gravy it came with did not have mushrooms. Was it mushroom flavored? I could not tell. It was however, prepared with the expected consistency and good flavor. I can take or leave mushrooms, but some customers might be disappointed that they were not present. My ”diner restaurant” expectations are somewhat “managed” regarding this type of thing. The mixed vegetables were well seasoned and tasty; if a bit soft. These are NOT the “seasonal” mixed vegetables I get at most places. I enjoyed these vegetables. I eat the variety served at most places (and believe them “healthy”) but normally find them light on taste and their contribution to the experience more “obligatory” than enthusiastic. The ones served at “Betsy’s Round the Corner" were a welcome change; even it the sodiium was higher than needed. The corn muffin was good. Not too dense, flavor was as expected. The blue plate by itself was $10.00. I found it well worth that money. So much better than the burger / fried chicken I normally fill “on the road” mealtimes with. I added a Pepsi and a frosted banana nut cake dessert to the meal. The mix was as expected with a good Pepsi. The cake was excellent. The soda and dessert brought the total to just over $17. Overall I felt the meal was a good value. I enjoyed the meal experience and am likely to dine there again, if in the area.

This was my 2nd time visiting Betsy's Round the Corner. The 1st experience was awful - food came out cold and it took forever to get our food. This was shortly after they opened so I assume they were just working out the kinks. My husband and I went as soon as they opened to beat the lunch crowd. We sat outside, because we love outdoor seating. I had a gyro with sweet potato fries and he had the reuben. Both were delicious! The service was quicker this time as well. I'm holding back 1 star because the waitress didn't rend to as much as we would have liked. Other than that, the experience was much better tha the first. We will go back!

Mr. Ron and his family have always gone above and beyond in service, food quality, and atmosphere. I personally always get crawfish, my family members LOVE their seafood pasta, loaded oysters, and too many other dishes to list. Their food portions are always plentiful, fresh, and tasty. Many family seasoning secrets in a lot of dishes. We frequent their establishment quite often, and always will.

Worth the wait! My husband and I made a 7pm reservation for dinner on the Saturday night before Valentine's Day. The restaurant is small, was expectedly crowded and like all restaurants today, short-staffed. However, it was disappointing to wait at the hostess stand for a full 15 minutes with no greeting or recognition from staff at all. Finally, bartender Ron told us someone would be with us shortly. When another 5-10 minutes passed, my husband walked to the back of the restaurant to the bar and asked Ron if we could get seated since three tables had become available since our arrival. Ron made it happen and ended up being our server as well. Ron was great! Friendly, attentive, personable and very generous with the wine pour.😁Thankfully, the food was worth the wait. I had the shrimp pasta, husband had the crab leg sampler. Both portions were huge and the food was delicious. Thanks, Ron!

So far this is a first class place. Very reasonable prices. Excellent bar drinks. Ok, this is indeed the go to spot for seafood. The staff treats everyone great. The shrimp, sausage, potato and corn are seasoned just right. By the way the sausage is very tender. If you want to eat somewhere that has delicious seafood and be treated like a king this is your place. Thank you Erika.

This place has everything conceivable for making a person feel at home apart from their home surroundings. I like Palmetto Seafood Bar so much. The atmosphere, food, the customer service makes me want to dine in everyday. Everything on that menu is palpable and tasty. I reside in Hephzibah, Ga. If I didn't live so far, I would probably be in attendance there @ least 3 days out of the week. Palmetto staff, continue doing what you are doing. By the way, the smiles, the laughter and the joy that they bring when serving their customers! Showing a photo of my daughter. There were 3 of us enjoying these meals!

The restaurant is cute, great location, lots of potential. The waitress Bri was friendly yet seemed inexperienced with the menu. It took almost 30 minutes for our bar drinks to arrive and longer than that for our appetizers. The gator bites were worth the wait. Very delicious! The dining room floor was very slippery and the bathroom was filthy! The food was reasonably priced unfortunately all of our food came out at different times. I was the last to get my food. I ordered a ribeye rare and unfortunately it was ruined. It was medium well when I ordered it rare. I just asked her to remove it from the bill because my family was already eating. There was no way it'd be ready before they were done. This was my first time eating there and I highly doubt I'd go back.

I had the shrimp gumbo and my wife had the Shrimp tacos. Both were very good. We will be back. This trip I had the grilled Mahi Mahi, my wife had the Shrimp tacos again (they are that good).

If you're on the hunt for a delightful fast-food experience, look no further than Hardee's! This beloved chain is known for its mouthwatering fried chicken and hearty burgers, not to mention their scrumptious made-from-scratch breakfast biscuits that are perfect for starting your day right. Located conveniently on Richland Avenue near Kalmia Plaza, Hardee's stands out with its inviting atmosphere and friendly staff.
Faith, the manager, deserves a special shout-out! Her positive attitude and helpful demeanor made my entire Hardee's experience fantastic. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. And oh my goodness, the peach milkshake! It was absolutely divine. The perfect balance of sweet and creamy peach flavor, thick and cold. It was the best milkshake I've ever had! I'll definitely be back to see Faith and enjoy another one of those incredible milkshakes. Highly recommend both!

Faith, as a manager, has truly transformed this establishment. Previously, the bathrooms were a significant point of concern, often described as unclean and poorly maintained. However, under Faith's new management, a remarkable improvement is evident. The restrooms are now consistently spotless, a testament to her commitment to cleanliness and a positive reflection on the overall customer experience. This dramatic change speaks volumes about her effective leadership and dedication to providing a superior environment for all patrons.

I put in a mobile order on July 2nd at 5 p.m. I paid for the order and when I arrived there was no one at the store. No employees at all. You shouldn't be able to order and pay for something if the store is closed. There was no way to cancel the order or get a refund either

Went in this evening after a long stressful day at work and the cashier Faith really brightened up my day. She was very knowledgeable, respectful, and also attentive to notice I was having a bad day. Not only was the service good, but my food was hot and fresh. Thanks young lady for making my day.

I was served cold fries that I still had to wait for despite no other cars in the line. I understand why, now. I asked for some sauces, was given no verbal reply. She did pack some sauces in the bag, though not the correct sauces. I expect minimal consideration at drive thrus. It comes with the territory of workers not being paid a living wage, but this service was below my already low expectations.

Five stars aren't enough to express how amazing my experience was at Hardee's! First, the Frisco Burger was absolutely incredible. The perfectly toasted bun, juicy patty, crisp bacon, and creamy sauce were a match made in heaven. It was a truly satisfying and delicious meal. But beyond the fantastic food, I want to give a huge shout-out to my manager, Faith. She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. Her positive attitude brightened the entire atmosphere, making my visit even more enjoyable. Faith's exceptional customer service truly made the difference and turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Hardee's and, if you're lucky enough to be served by Faith, consider yourself fortunate!

This is the second time that I have been on my lunch break with only one car in front of me and waited way too long for an order for just one person. I always try to give second chances because everyone can have bad days. I literally ordered a Frisco combo and two apple pies with one car in front of me and waited 12 minutes at the drive-through window and was then asked to park so they could bring my order out and an additional five minutes. So I waited almost 20 minutes for that small order!! It did not make sense for me to ask for a refund and wait for that and then go find somewhere else to purchase food from because half of our lunch break was already gone!! At least be nice and hot because I assumed it was cooked fresh . The fries will be warm and the Frisco sandwich was definitely not fresh because it wasn’t even very warm at all!! I used to love Hardee’s, but this will definitely be my last visit!!

I recently visited the Hardee’s on Whiskey Road in Aiken, and I had a really great experience — mostly thanks to Faith, one of the employees. She gives amazing customer service! She’s super friendly, always smiling, and makes sure your order is right. It’s rare to see someone care that much in fast food, and it really makes a difference. Another highlight was the handcrafted lemonade. It was so refreshing — not too sweet, not too sour, just perfect. You can tell it’s made with care, and it really hit the spot, especially on a hot day. The food was good too — fresh, hot, and just what I expected from Hardee’s. The inside could be a little cleaner at times, but the great service made up for it. If you’re in the area, stop by. Faith’s customer service and that lemonade are definitely worth it!
