Northpark Mall, established in 1972, has expanded from its original 600,000 square feet to a vast 1,080,000 square feet housing over 100 stores and a diverse food court. The mall features popular eateries like Burger King, Orange Julius, and Chick-fil-A. Visitors can also explore the Wall of Honor hallway dedicated to American heroes who have served.
Pleasant outing with plenty of shops! I'm not the shopping type, but this mall had plenty of little glimpses of sunshine. ☀️✨️ Tastefully decorated. Lots of parking. Appreciated the kind employees and The Hall of Honor.
Katie — Google review
While many of the units within the mall are empty (I would estimate about half), there are a few stores that are hanging in there and make shopping more convenient. On the whole, it’s not very clean. All the bathrooms are consistently dirty and the children’s play area seems like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. It is a nice place to walk when it’s very hot outside, especially if you aren’t fond of crowds, and I’d love to see it stick around

Ruth was amazing as a waitress. She was very attentive and made sure we had the best service. The food was really good as well. The rolls are always amazing.

Have you been here? If so take a trip to the bathroom and the food court area..... Absolutely disgusting, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Smells like it also... Do better joplin

Forgot to mention, everyone says a bunch of stores are closed that was during Covid or after it’s not like that anymore!! It was temporary. I have went to Springfield and Kansas City there is nothing you can’t get here in Joplin MO. Thats just the truth …it’s a waste of time. And if they don’t have it they will order it. They have everything. Everyone is always friendly and courteous I always have a great time visiting this mall. Still a fun Friday night out and plenty of restaurants around or options in the food court. One thing I noticed is lack of security lately? I hate to say it but been seeing some shady characters lately in this mall. I hope it’s not permanent ….That is all. 🤫😂
Beautiful T — Google review
Nice mall. Clean, has a nice food court and lots of different shopping spots to get whatever you need. So many places have now Closed in the mall as you can see in my video. Still nice mall for the remaining stores here.
Trisha M — Google review
This mall is pretty unique and the aesthetics are nice. However I’ve noticed a lot of empty spaces, the decline for this mall is on the rise.
Slacking P — Google review
Pretty cool mall. Been all over the united states so I've seen many malls. What's sad is America is too lazy to work and I saw alot of stores closed because they just don't have the help but still a nice sized mall and very clean with a wall of honor hallway for all the American heroes who have served. Gave me chills walking down the hallway and you can bet I stopped and saluted my fellow brothers and sisters who have served

Amazing place! We look forward to coming back again. The atmosphere is AMAZING and clean! The food was great and the service friendly and understanding. Our daughter loved looking at everything. They run some drink specials and a kid night on Wednesday! Highly recommend. Changing stations in both the women’s and men’s restroom.

Relaxed environment, food is Tex Mex, I love their queso with spinach . I always get the same pasta, the portion of chicken used to be larger, and flame grilled. Seemed to be pre chopped portions, smaller and less flavor. All and all still decent for what it is

I rated the food a one. It would have been a zero. The food was so bland, no flavor. Its like everything came out of a can. I lost my appetite. This is no close to being authentic, trust me im mexican. I could have done better. The only thing that was amazing was our waitress.

The lunch portions were perfect. The Taco salad comes with Sour Cream and Black Olives but I left them out. Great food, service and atmosphere.

We usually LOVE to visit this Del Rio when we are passing through the area, but this visit was disappointing to say the least. We asked for a table and were told it would be 15 minutes. Not a problem. 15 minutes go by and then we are told that they have reserved all their tables for big parties and it would be a long time before they would have a table for us and all they have is booths available. Fine...but then they seated us in a booth that was half size so there is not a lot of room on the table for food and is definitely not comfortable to sit in due to the cramped nature of the booth. We felt like we had been crammed in a dark forgotten corner. That was very apparent when it came to our service. It was a few minutes before we were greeted and throughout our visit we had very little attention from our server. When we did, it was very brief. I ordered the Blackend Chicken Pasta with jalapeño cream sauce and my husband ordered combo fajitas. When our food was brought to us, my pasta had queso all over it and my husband's fajitas were bland. They had no seasoning and the onions and peppers were almost like they were baked instead of sautéd. I didn't dare say anything about my pasta being incorrect because I wasn't sure when our server would have come back to check on us. I was going to use the restroom on the way out, but there was such a fowl odor coming out of there that I decided to wait and go somewhere else. Like I said in the beginning, we usually LOVE this place, but this visit was not good at all.
Amy T — Google review
I left one star because I couldn’t leave less. My waitress Kenya B really ruined the service and atmosphere with her attitude. The food tasted fine but the server is what makes the experience and this one was severely lacking. The food can not make up for a terrible waitress. If you’re gonna have a bad attitude just stay home there is no need to ruin someone else’s night because your night sucks. Grow up and be an adult, you’re at work.

Mythos is a family-owned restaurant that offers a variety of Greek, Italian, and American cuisine in a cozy setting. Visitors have praised the warm and inviting atmosphere upon entering the establishment. The menu features unique dishes such as Feta Dip and Kasseri, with options for gluten-free meals. It's recommended for date nights or business meetings due to its excellent service and diverse menu offerings.
My son and daughter-in-law recommended I try this place. My friend and I were not disappointed. The lunch prices are typical - we had the gyro wrap with fries and the 1/2lb burger with fries; each were $12 + tax. We got right in and seated during weekday lunch hours. Our food came quickly, and the server (Damon, I think) was as he should be. We'll definitely come again and we recommended it. Thanks!

I always come for the gyro sandwich for lunch. It's only $12 as of May 2025. It's the best I've ever had. It comes with really good creamy tomato soup and fresh rolls. The strawberry shortcake is also really good. It's really dense and rich in flavor. My absolute favorite place to eat here in Joplin!!!

Husband and I went for lunch for our anniversary and had a great time! Christine did a great job serving us and was super friendly and helpful! The food was so good and we left feeling so stuffed! My husband got the Mythos Platter and I got the Turkey Confusion Pitanini. For dessert I got the strawberry shortcake and he got the baklava. All of it I'd recommend!
Tessa M — Google review
We were traveling through and contacted a foodie about where to eat in Joplin and got the referral to go to Mythos. Here’s what we experienced: FOOD: I don’t even remember what my wife got (lol) but it was some Greek food. She really like it but it’s not something I would have enjoyed. It was different (reference the picture) and she likes new stuff. Me? I had a hamburger with bacon. I prob should have got a steak but was in the mood for a good hamburger. Whereas the burger was good, it was not over the top. It was near overdone. Maybe I should have upgraded to the Kobe burger. I’d try something different next time. Little disappointed here as I was figuring a great burger at an upscale restaurant. SERVICE: I’ll just say the bigger group next to us got better and quicker service than we did. Our waiter wasn’t overwhelmed (from what we could see) but was much slower. Our food was ordered first and the other group’s came out first. Maybe your server will be better. ATMOSPHERE: This is set up as a high-end steak house (or restaurant). From the outside to the inside, it prepares you for an up town meal. The place was nice and clean and we were seated very professionally. The prices surprised us. They do not reflect a high end facility. Steaks are more expensive but a Kobe burger is $17 and the others are cheaper. Great prices. All in all, I would prob go back should I be traveling through Joplin (which we do a cpl times a year). I’d just order something different and hope I get a different server. Don’t drool over my water. I get that everywhere I go.

When we walked in for lunch I told my wife that we were getting ready to drop a Benjamin here at the minimum. It is a classy restaurant, we felt under dressed, however, there were others there dressed super casual. The spicy feta cheese deep was delicious. I ordered steak gargonzolla(spelling?) The meat was melt in my mouth tender. The waiter did a phenomenal job keeping my glass full of water. Then we got our bill...not even close to a Benjamin. It was worth the visit. I'm glad we stopped in for lunch.

Great food, excellent service, clean, very nicely decorated and an upscale attitude at affordable prices. Highly recommend stopping in ,especially for lunch. Fantastic gyros.

I went here for my very first time on Mother's Day, 2024! It was a success. The spicy feta dip was absolutely phenomenal. My pasta was really good as well, and my son ate all of his food. As somebody who is German, Irish, and Italian, I make homemade Caesar salad dressing, I feel like they should hire me to make it VS theirs, though. ;) I will return!

This is a great place with outstanding service. Our server, Del, absolutely made our dining experience better. He was very attentive and helped us decide on a meal when we couldn't do it ourselves. Everything looked and sounded too good for us to pick. We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone.

Big R's BBQ is a family-owned restaurant in Joplin, Missouri that offers amazing barbecue dishes served in large portions. The dining establishment is filled with memorabilia and serves jumbo portions of hickory-smoked meats along with freshly fried potatoes. Visitors have praised the chocolate pie for its well-made and long-lasting qualities. The Tower-O-Rings and steak burger are also highly recommended, showcasing the quality of food used.
Still an AMAZING place to eat! Worth the drive if you are a foodie! GIANT Chicken Fried Steak. Great onion rings, smoked turkey, strawberry cheesecake pie, really nothing was bad all worth the dollar! Outstanding service from “Lacy” - plan to spend because you will want all the things from appetizers to dessert! Save room take a box or two home! lol 😂

We haven’t been here in quite awhile but it used to be my favorite place. We quit coming because food had changed so much from original owners. O-rings have never been the same since they left. The ones we had tonight tasted of burnt grease (1/2 of the tower was pretty burnt). Anyhow tonight’s food was sub par and honestly we just won’t be back. I posted the pictures of our food and to tell you the truth only thing I didn’t try was my husband’s ribs but he had not complaints. First set of rolls were stale, chicken fried steak was not good at all and the curly fries had little pieces of old fries piled up and inside my daughters curly fries (literally little black old potatoes they went ahead and deep fried). The large order of them was something I wouldn’t even consider curly fries at all. But our waiter was sweet and kind. He got a good tip of course despite the food. We came to see if it got any better and unfortunately we are disappointed.

Should have read the reviews first…My mom came to town and wanted to go here because she saw it on “the best bite” on the food network. We were so pumped to go and try it. It was terrible.we started with the sample platter as an appetizer. The batter had zero flavor. My ribs and pulled pork were so dry. The fries were undercooked greasy limp potatoes. The Mac n cheese was super salty my son wouldn’t even eat it. The best thing about my meal was the Pepsi. My mom was so disappointed that we wasted $80 on that meal. Will not return.
Makenzie L — Google review
Stopped in for a late lunch as my wife had eaten here a week before with our son in law, his wife, and our son. She loved it then and wanted to treat me. Man, I love my wife as she knows exactly the food I mostly enjoy. My wife insisted the shrooms would be the appetizer, as she had these a week ago. And according to her she barely got any as the kids snapped them up. So we ordered the breaded shrooms and they were remarkably delicious. Hot they were and the batter was perfect for these dudes. Both of us ordered tea, mine sweet and hers unsweetened. I must say the tea was perfect on both accounts. The right strength and sweetness. Weak tea is a crime. We both ordered the brisket sandwich. My bride got baked beans as her side. I got the rings with an upcharge for them [You can see the pic taken as to what we had ordered]. Our waiter made sure we knew in advance about the upcharge and we were cool with it. The sandwiches came out rather quickly as well as our sides. Impressive that the overall wait was very minimal. The sandwiches....I'd give a high 4⭐ for sure. The brisket was flavorful and nicely chopped which made for a great mouth feel. I think if the sandwich was stacked with even more brisket (maybe a small price increase as I know meat isn't cheap and neither is the work needed to make it delicious) would put it at a 5⭐. I'm not complaining though. The buns were fresh and nicely toasted. The onion rings....WOW. I gotta say the only other rings that I really enjoy are from a place in OKC/Edmond called JOHNNIE'S. The rings at BIG R were bangin' and a lot of them. Nice and thick with ranch on the side. Excellent rings indeed. Overall the food was off the hook and fan-taste-ic! Our waiter was courteous and checked on us regularly. Not so much that it was intrusive. A young guy that could be putting himself through college. Very informative when I asked about the smokers and length of time needed for the brisket and other proteins. He offered dessert but sadly we had to pass as both my wife and I were stuffed. Perhaps next time. Thank you BIG R's for a great late lunch meal. You can bet we'll be back to try the other menu items.
Steve H — Google review
We went there to try out their turkey. It's is super thin sliced and appears only on the turkey club. I will return for the smoked ribs. Those ribs stand head and shoulders above all competition within 25+ miles. Will definitely bring some friends here just for these. I had baked beans and fries for a side. I actually try a bite of a BBQ joint's baked beans first. A simple bite will usually tell me all I need to know about a place. These were in the top 25%. The baked beans actually have flavor. Not a fan of the string fries. However, I understand why some are. About me: my wife has alpha gall. And can only eat fish and fowl. She actually likes turkey. So, yes I have tried ALL BBQ joints in Carthage and the Joplin area. - in a search for consistently good thick sliced smoked turkey. That hunt continues. . . .

Came last night for the first time to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday and this place was AMAZING!! Definitely going to be our new place when we visit Joplin! The brisket was so good and FRIED BROCCOLI 🥦??? Yes please! The amount of food you get for what you pay is really good!! Lacy was a wonderful waitress with great communication! Thanks again for everything!!
Angela S — Google review
The first time I ever had burnt ends was at Big R’s BBQ—and wow, it was out of this world! Listed as “double smoked burnt ends” on their menu, it was a perfect balance of tender, crunchy, and caramelized goodness that melted in my mouth. Just… wow. They only make them in limited batches, so the next time they were available, I stocked up, froze a few servings, and even straight from the freezer they were still out of this world. Easily a 20/10 experience (yes, twenty out of ten—that good). Months later, when my stash was gone, I jumped at the chance to order them again. Sadly, that’s when the magic ended. What I got wasn’t the same masterpiece—it was just their regular brisket (which I’d tried before and found mediocre), chopped up and drenched in BBQ sauce. I thought maybe they’d run out of the real burnt ends and substituted without saying anything. But after giving them a few more chances, it was the same disappointing chopped brisket every time. I’ve spent hundreds here and gladly would have spent thousands if they’d kept the original quality. But based on my last few visits, those burnt ends deserve a negative score. My last meal here was in January 2025. Still, I’m grateful for those first couple of unforgettable experiences, and for that, I’m giving them a generous 3/5. I might give them one last shot in the future—but unless the magic returns, they’ve lost a customer.

I find this on Google maps and it sounded interesting, so we detoured off our route to go there. What a charming place! It was easy to find on a major road through Joplin. We almost missed it, however, since it is a small, unpretentious property. The food is amazing! The staff were patient and kind with us out-of-towners. We chose to sit outside. Well worth it detour! It is definitely a place we hope to visit again!

Quaint and cozy brunch spot on Main Street. The food was awesome with some unique and delicious twists. The staff was very helpful, all of them seemed genuinely happy, and they made some very helpful recommendations. My wife had a delicious mimosa and I had an orange juice with Miller High Life (the champagne of beers) and it was so good I now have cravings for it. The French Toast was thick, soft, and so delicious with fresh bananas on top. They even had some cool local hot sauces to choose from, and it paired well with the French Toast and added some heat. My wife's Eggs Benedict was really good. The egg was cooked perfectly and the flavors were delicious.

This CFA really has no competition. It is the busiest food place in the food court, but it’s worth the short wait in line. Our food came out quick and hot. Our cashier was as helpful and polite as they always are. She also came to our table to check on us, and went around checking on all the customers eating CFA. Food is always perfect and comes out quick, even when they are busy. But the customer service is what tops it. For a crew that has to work in a mall, these guys make this chick fil a better than ANY of the drive thru locations in Joplin. We were served by Hawkins who was amazing, he was super polite, never missed a word we said, and without being asked he came all the way across the food court to our table just to grab our drinks and refill them just as he did for EVERYONE in the mall! GREAT guy, love his attitude and work ethic. Day made. Give that man a promotion. Thank you Hawkins!

One star for policy. Turns out if panda express forgets to send part of your order with you for lunch, They will not give you a refund only offer to replace it for you next time you’re in town. Stole my $8. Even ordered on the APP in advance, and they did not get it right or make it right with me.

I call this place " Panda Meat" and it is decent, for fast food Chinese. The Orange Chicken is pretty good, and the crispy beef wasn't bad. Just, not great....and the portion for takeout " fried rice" was ridiculously small. It also is NOT fried rice.... It's mushy rice...not fried

I'm not sure the difference between Panda in Missouri and Panda in Bakersfield California corporate-wise but this is getting kinda sad. MY SERVER WAS FIRE 🔥, SUPER FRIENDLY, SUPER PROMPT AND KIND. I went in for my usual fried rice and string bean chicken and without fail, the rice was undercooked again. I would just ignore it but I've had this Panda about 8 times and every time day or evening, the rice is undercooked. I even waited about a year this time before going back, nope still crappy rice. PLEASE CHECK YOUR COOK TIMES AND THE RICE ITSELF. I was offered a few meal as an inconvenience apology but given the history with their rice, I respectfully declined. If you go to Panda for the servers and service, perfect but I go for the food. This though, definitely makes this my last visit.

Staff need to Pay attention when taking orders. I ordered at the screen then had to order it again at the window. they still didn’t get it right. Food was good just not what I ordered.

I ordered a plate online with super greens, string bean chicken and broccoli beef. Said it would be ready at 8:55. Loaded up Bongo so he wouldn't have to go in his kennel. Stopped @ C-store because I don't care for the beverage selection at Panda. Got a text at 8:51 while I was driving saying my order was ready. Didn't see it until after I went in and picked it up off the shelf at 8:54 and got back in the car. Drove home unpacked the dog and dinner. Fed him and when I sat down and opened my container to eat, no greens. Packed my food back up, put Bongo in his kennel and back to Panda I went. I walked in 25 minutes after when I picked up the order because I live on the other side of town. I explained what happened and they were just going to throw greens in a coal and hand me. I asked for new food since I would have to microwave or eat it cold. Then I had to wait for them to cook something they ran out of. That was the only thing hot when I got home. The whole ordeal took 1 hr 40 mins from the time I ordered to the time I finished eating. There won't be a next time, and I'll just fix a sandwich at home and not be bothered with the hassle

Hamburger restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Joplin, Downtown Burgers is a must-visit for anyone who considers themselves a burger lover. This charming spot serves up classic diner-style burgers that have locals singing its praises. The menu features an array of traditional options, with the double cheeseburger and crispy fries standing out as favorites among patrons. Known for their generous portions and wallet-friendly prices, this small establishment on Main Street has become a beloved fixture in the community.
I shan't bore you waxing ecstatic over the food. I will tell you, go there. You have an obligation to yourself and this fine burger shack to go there. If you are within a few thousand miles, go there. Plus they pepper the fries, something I thought I was alone in doing. Go there. Great people, great burger. Go there.

While working in the Joplin area, the Hillbilly and co-worker decided (on Google's high ratings) to try Downtown Burgers. I love it when other reviewers find these great places! And they were on the money with DTB's! The burgers and fries were really tasty, the service was outstanding, and the prices were very reasonable. The only mistake I made was I didn't get "The Farm." I won't make that mistake again!

🔥🔥🔥🔥 such a great spot. It's basically carry out only, but they do have park benches outside. Staff was super friendly. One of the best burgers I've ever had. They use local butchers. Very fresh beef. Highly recommend. Im not from the area but they came HIGHLY recommended by the locals

I told the girl that waited on me, ' IM TRYING TO FIND THE BEST BURGER IN JOPLIN , MO'! SHAZAM, I found it! Cooked to order, flat top grill, great buns! Old fashion hamburger at its finest! Don't waste your time going anywhere else, that is unless you want many different varieties of burgers! This is a ' CLASSIC', burger joint and I highly recommend! The only thing I would add, ' ONION RINGS ', then good to go on all areas! Also, fries were actually hot and fresh! And they give you a mountain of them! Anyone knows that follow my reviews, I speak the blunt truth, liked or not! Many blessings and thank you! Kristen D Salas

Stopped in because it's been awhile. Got the daily special for a total of $9.24. Food was as good as I remember, side patio was trashy and needed cleaned up. Was SHOCKED to see they put a hold on my debit for $111.63! You should really do something to avoid this or at least post a sign stating the EXCESSIVE HOLD on your card!

Now this is a hole in the wall type of places, worth the stop and try if you like burgers! Looked to be mom & daughter working together. Friendly. Burgers were fresh and good. We each got them with pepperjack cheese. No sitting available, there might have been one picnic table outside however we sat in our car and it was just fine.

Seafood restaurant
Crabby's is a popular American fish house that is famous for its delectable crab cakes and seasonal menu. The restaurant offers a dimly lit dining room, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. Additionally, Crabby's provides outdoor seating and takeout options, catering to various dining preferences. Customers have praised the restaurant for its exceptional service and delicious food, with some even mentioning their willingness to accommodate special dietary needs.
We had a very nice experience here, it exceeded our expectations. Excellent friendly service, quality food at good value. Loved our dishes along with the chowder and fried local mushrooms...and spicy grits!

We try and go to Crabby's at least once a week, their food is simply magnificent. The service is outstanding, we never run out of our drinks, and they just take the most perfect care of their food and the way it's prepared. We try something different on the menu every time we go, and they never fail to give us something that is a new taste! We feel so proud to have found Crabby's, and want to make sure that you folks know just how wonderful this restaurant is, thank you thank you thank you. Keep up the great work, we'll be back. ♥️☺️

In traveling through Joplin, my wife and I had yet to find a place that served good seafood. My wife found Crabbys on Yelp and we decided to give it a try. The neighborhood looked like it had seen better days, which suggested that the restaurant might have seen better days too. But we were on a seafood quest! The seating was a little tight at the tables. (There were booths too.) The person at the table behind me and I bumped chair backs a number of times. Our server, Lauren S, was with us quickly, welcoming us and getting drink orders. She did an exceptional job throughout the evening! She was friendly and attentive, without being annoying. She answered questions we had with openness and honesty. She was quick to notice when drinks needed refilling, which is important to me as I go thru 4-6 glasses of water and soda during a meal. I would likely give this place 5 stars just for her service alone! We ordered Mushroom Fries, Seafood Chowder, House Salad, Blackened Salmon Oscar and Crabbys Mixed Grill. I loved the fries, especially with the truffle aioli! My wife is not a fan of mushrooms and found them “too mushroomy.” My house salad was an average salad, and her seafood chowder was definitely lacking in seafood. But the main courses made up for what had so far been a slightly above average meal! Her salmon meal was very good and my mixed grill was excellent! Each piece of seafood was cooked well, leaving them moist and tender! The accompanying sides were also delicious. We will come back again when we have a seafood craving when traveling thru Joplin!

The atmosphere was amazing. Our waiter was most kind and pleasant. Checking on us to make sure we were satisfied and that we didn't need anything. The food was simply great. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I absolutely this place! Very attentive servers, and fresh and delicious food. Great atmosphere. I will be coming back!
Country W — Google review
The food was not good. I had a bowl of seafood chowder. There were literally 2 small pieces of shrimp. The rest was corn and a tasteless gravy. Not good. I also ordered the fried mushrooms which were nothing great either. The cod was better but mostly breading. Very disappointed. Especially considering the price of the food.
Tammi S — Google review
We ordered the 45-day aged ribeye, Chilean sea bass, seasonal bisque, carrot cake, and crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was excellent—rich, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the night. I would have happily ordered more, but at $7 for a very small portion, it felt overpriced. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was disappointing. The carrot cake was just average (something I could just as easily pick up at Walmart), while the other food we got were all below average in quality and far too expensive for what was served. Portion sizes across the board were on the smaller side as well. I also disliked the use of “MP” on the menu without any clear pricing. While I understand the concept, it would have been more guest-friendly to display updated prices on an obvious board or digital display instead. The ambiance was pleasant—dimly lit and comfortable—but ultimately, we came for the food. We had heard Crabby’s was known for great dishes, yet aside from the crème brûlée, the experience was underwhelming. Without that dessert, I would have given this place a 1-star rating.

This was our second visit to Crabby's and it did not disappoint. Our first visit was excellent to say the least, with good service, food and atmosphere. We had no objections and was happy to return and ready to try more delicious food options. However, our second visit has by far exceeded our expectations. We didn't make reservations and had to sit at the bar...at first, I wasn't that happy and thought well it is a shame, knowing we were going to order a lot of food and having little space to enjoy it all like you would at a table. I was quick to change my mind. The bartender was personable, friendly and made you feel like nothing you ordered was too large to be eaten at the bar. Every server who brought out food or walked by was polite, friendly and helpful. The other patrons seated next to us became our long-lost friends, offering us tastings of their items as well. The atmosphere was welcoming, relaxing and we the three of us had a wonderful time. We would recommend Crabby's to anyone looking for a great seafood in the area, or just a wonderful lunch or dinner.

Waterfalls
Grand Falls, Missouri's largest continuously flowing waterfall, is a breathtaking natural wonder located in Joplin. The falls cascade over a 163-ft.-wide ledge of solid chert rock into a pool below, creating an awe-inspiring sight that is especially dramatic after heavy rains. Visitors can enjoy picnics, photography, and the tranquility of nature in the well-maintained area around the falls.
What a sweet, free spot! This is a little Joplin jewel. A peaceful, cascading waterfall. A calm spot to think. A place for folks to wade in the water or others enjoy fishing. People love natural beauty, and some residents live just down the creek, so being respectful of Grand Falls is a must. Many flat, semi-smooth rocks allow spots to sit for a snack and take in this special beauty. It was nice to just relax and appreciate God's wonders. In addition to these sweet falls that are probably 10 feet high and over 150 feet wide, there are small trickling falls on rocky areas beside Grand Falls where you can get your feet wet without getting totally immersed. A great spot for families and friends, and there's enough room for about 10-15 cars to park, along a shoulder of the road, and in a small dirt/gravel lot beside the water. If you are in the mood for a walk, there is nearby McIndoe Park with a wide, paved sidewalk that also winds beside the creek leading to Grand Falls.

Beautiful place, but the water was definitely not clear nor blue but we also had plenty of rain recently so that could be why. Water felt refreshing to walk in but I wouldn’t advise swimming in it because of how fast the currents were. Overall, it was a nice drive from Tulsa OK to here, and very easy and worth the drive too!
Lara — Google review
Very easy to find with signs along the way. Parking is not bad, a small area off the road and plenty space along the road. The falls are nice and great for pictures. Seen many people enjoying the water. Short detour from 44, great stopping area to stretch legs on a long roadtrip
Alisa S — Google review
Although the GPS took us the long way, when we got to Grand Falls we thought it was very pretty. It had rained a lot, so the water was at capacity and the falls looked beautiful. I suggest going during the week because there is not much room to park, unless you want to walk a bit. We were on our way home from Roaring River and it was worth the detour to see the pretty falls.
Tara B — Google review
Just a little off the beating path of a gorgeous neighborhood. Great view, relaxing sounds, and not too busy. My next visit, I will bring a sandwich.
David O — Google review
Such a beautiful site to see! Literally right off the road. You can step out of your car and see the waterfall in all of its glory or you can sit in the comfort of your car and still see it. You are allowed to swim in the pools below the waterfall.. It does get quite busy on the weekends. But every weekday I’ve been there I’ve had it almost to myself. A definite must see!
Amy E — Google review
Visiting Grand Falls in Joplin felt like stepping into a jungle adventure. The scenery was absolutely stunning, especially with the lush greenery all around. During our Memorial Day weekend visit, the falls were especially powerful due to heavy rain—an awe-inspiring sight! Don’t just stay in your car—make sure to get out and walk to the falls. It’s worth it! Just be cautious, especially with kids, as there are steep cliff edges, fast-moving rapids, and whirlpools nearby. This is a beautiful spot to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. We loved every minute of it!

The massive store includes a rotating truck that kids love and offers various travel and maintenance gear. Despite some older reviews mentioning low water pressure in the showers, recent experiences have shown them to be spacious and clean.
A really fun pit stop during our road trip. The exterior was under construction and didn’t look like anything worth visiting on the outside, but we’re glad we did. They had a huge trucker store where you can go inside the cab of a semi, a restaurant, fast food, and plenty of fun, weird stuff to shop.

Really disappointed. Went in for oil change. A simple oil change and left with major coolant leak. This place was one of my favorite truck stop. Management tried to help, but the damage was already done. They need to vet their mechanics. Things like this can put an owner operator out of business. I had to rearrange my whole week.

There is a paved trail that makes a loop and hardscrabble trails off of that. There is a spring but it isn't really anything to look at and the Arkansas River that runs parallel to the trail isn't very inviting. Iron Skillet is a hidden gem that defies the typical truck stop dining experience, offering delicious meals at reasonable prices throughout the day. Breakfast favorites like over-easy eggs paired with corned beef and hash browns, along with their standout gravy and biscuits, are sure to impress. Diners rave about the cheese omelets and pancakes as well. The service here shines too; Mrs. Mandy stands out for her exceptional attentiveness and warmth, making every visit feel special.
Anyone that's ever called a truck stop restaurant a "Choke & Puke" needs to have their head examined because this place serves up a great meal with a great price morning, noon and night. I had the over easy eggs with corn beef and hash browns with a side of gravy & biscuits. I'm a huge fan of gravy & biscuits and you just can't find really good ones around but these folks got it nailed. Girlfriend had a cheese omelet, hash browns and pancakes that were out of this world. There's not a lot of late night places to get really good food but you can always count on the Iron Skillet.

At iron skillet, the food was exceptionally great. outside of the iron skillet inside the convenience store on the other hand I didn’t like the fact that the lady thought that I could possibly be stealing something out of the store because I asked her for a bag and she clearly seen that I had a receipt do mind you? I am of a dark skin complexion so with that being said, I didn’t like the fact that I was profiled that way.

I paid $17 for a breakfast to go order. The portion was ridiculously poor. Untop of that I did the toast and biscuit was missing. With the high prices they are robbing us with the lil and short portion of food.

I took a friend there to check out the food court. Disapointed, we turned to The Iron Skillet as I had great memories of it. No more Buffet, they got my chicken sandwich wrong ( i got a piece of chicken drowning in Tomato sauce an spagetti that did not look fresh or appetizing. After i complained, the single waitress got me the same piece of chicken in a bun. Pointing at the description (Lettuce, tomato, pickle and french fries) I asked why i didnt get those. I got my fries in a skillet and another had a tired piece of lettuce, one slice of onion, 2 slices tomato and a few pickles. Nope, not going there again!

Mexican restaurant
Casa Montez is a long-established eatery with traditional decor that specializes in authentic Mexican cuisine. Located on South Main Street in Joplin, this spot impresses customers with its delectable dishes and friendly service. Their signature chili rellenos are highly praised by patrons who appreciate the unique touch of homemade taco shells. Although the restaurant's size may create a somewhat confined atmosphere, the overall ambiance exudes positivity.
Delicious!! Wish there 2 tacos instead of one on the lunch menu 😕 The chips and salsa were sooo good, the waitress brings more without having to ask for more! Small place on the outside with big flavors inside...and great service!!

Great meals and very affordable meals. Love their salsa and chips and the service was pretty good. Just very size constrained inside, but just a little uncomfortable
Michael S — Google review
Food was very good. We went through four baskets of chips to go with the queso. Pretty sure the server was new, so I won’t hold that against her. Not a lot of space and the building could use some work, but again, the food was very good.
Darin M — Google review
Not authentic Mexican food, more like AmeriMex or Texmex food; everything is loaded with melted cheese and made with flour which is a bit unhealthy, something you will rarely see in Mexican cuisine. Nevertheless, the food had good flavor, but too hearty for my preference. Great service and atmosphere. Had the chicken enchiladas.
Manuel R — Google review
It was okay; but definitely not what I consider good Mexican food. Prices are too high for the quantity of food you get as well. Nothing like it used to be on Rangeline.

They have always had great food and wonderful atmosphere, so when I gave three stars for atmosphere, I am not knocking them. I personally, am just not one for small spaces. I really enjoyed my experience at Del Rio Grill & Cantina. Overall, it was a great place with just a few areas that could use some improvement. Specifically, I noticed that we didn't receive our alcoholic drinks until after our food arrived, which was slightly inconvenient. However, considering it was a Tuesday afternoon and not too busy, this issue could have been avoided. The guacamole definitely needs some work as it lacked flavor and excitement.
This place was amazing. Wonderful food and service. Loved the warm, thin, airy chips. Fried ice cream and churros for dessert topped it off!

I want to thank our server Adeline was so pleasant and very helpful. We really appreciated her kindness and smile. Thank u for making our dinner a nice experience!😊

Absolutely adore the place. Friendly service and pretty quick with food. I did feel that the fajita was heavy on the veg more than the protien but still a high recommendation.

What can you say about Del Rio, the food, the staff, the atmosphere is always top notch, Very Customer Oriented, very friendly! The food is so delicious! I never have a negative thing to say about Del Rio!

Probably the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! The queso was flavorful and amazing The tortillas were homemade the corn tortillas were rubbery and crispy, which is perfect for corn to I had the black beans with the spoon bread, which is like cornbread. The black beans were the best black beans I’ve ever had in my life. The house margaritas are special for 425 on Mondays and they were smooth and delicious I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. They were amazing. The wait staff ( Paidyn)was fabulous , She knew everything about the menu that was vegetarian! And she didn’t mind us asking at all! Which is greatly appreciated because most restaurants we have a she knew everything about the menu that was vegetarian! And she didn’t mind us asking at all! Which is greatly appreciated because most restaurants we have a real problem we ask questions about the food having broth, etc., in it I would drive all the way from Oklahoma back here just to eat lunch!

I loved the taste of the guacamole compared to other similar restaurants in the area.Salsa tasted like a glorified ketchup though, heavy on the ketchup taste. White cheese dip tasted good, although had a spinach like taste and green bits that also looked a lot like spinach. Weird. Never ordered a queso at a Mexican restaurant that had a spinach taste in it. I ordered a chicken chimichanga meal. It was ok. Tasted fine. My husband ordered mixed steak and chicken fajitas. He wasn't impressed in the least. He said it was very bland,no taste. From my view it was very very blaw looking,no color etc. It was mostly grilled onions and a tiny bit of green peppers . But what really surprised us was the steak and chicken didn't seem to be seasoned with fajita seasoning and just plopped on top of the onion mound with the tiny bit of green peppers. Literally a steak cut in slices played on the right and a chicken breast sliced and placed on the left top of the onion mound. Not mixed in. Not seasoned etc. Service was ok. The dining room was messy but we figured the time of evening we just missed the dinner rush. Our server was mainly busy cleaning tables nearby and as she passed asked if everything was OK or if we needed anything. My drink ice melted before I drank all my tea. I also finished my tea before my food and never was offered a refill. Maybe I should have said as she passed by cleaning tables that I needed a refill...although I shouldn't have to ask. She was very nice though. My husband and I both agreed if we ever came back we would definitely be ordering different items as we weren't impressed in the least with ours.

I like things hot, but let me tell you even the mild salsa had flavor. The cheese dip, the drinks and food were all fantastic. Even the service was awesome

The menu offers traditional Midwestern dishes, including specialties like David's Fried Chicken Salad and smoked chicken dip. Hubby and I were in town for a work meeting. It was our 13th wedding anniversary so after the meeting we decided to try out this restaurant....absolutely best decision we made! I had the hot honey chicken pasta and it was soooo good. Hubby had the Chipotle burger and loved it so much. Our waiter was very helpful when deciding on items to try and the atmosphere was nice! We will definitely be back!

This was such a surprise! What an elegant and eclectic location. It's located in a historic building with tons of character. I felt like I stepped back in time to the 50's. The employees are happy and at every table there were quiet conversations with tinkling laughter. Don't go here if you are in a hurry, it's a place to slow down and breathe for a minute. The food was cooked and made to perfection. My gluten-free wife enjoyed a delicious steak and had no issues. I believe that you'll be pleasantly surprised as well.

Cute cafe in downtown Joplin that we found while traveling & wanting a real meal. Our server, Jeremy if I remember correctly.... he said "the good looking bearded guy", was fantastic. Our dinners were delicious!! The keto menu was on-point. We both had the Chipotle Avocado Keto Burgers and shared a salad. Homemade ranch was yummy, as well as the balsamic vinegarette 5 Stars!

This place is nothing short of WONDERFUL! The food was fantastic, service was great, atmosphere was outstanding. I had the LOVE ME TENDER and it was truly a spectacular sandwich. Wifey had the bacon and potato soup and house salad which she loved. LOOKING TO RETURN SOON. THANK YOU JEREMY FOR MAKING OUR EVENING BETTER!

We got the so called “famous” chicken dip. It was tasteless and gross. It was a glob of cold chicken cream cheese dip that you could not eat. It might have been good if the served it hot and not as a cold dip. They got my husband’s order completely wrong but gave up when we realized our waitress was not interested in serving our table. I got a gourmet cheeseburger type meal and fries with ranch. It took 15 minutes and 4 requests to get the ranch. I took a bite it was ok. Then took the second bite and discovered a long hair in the burger. That turned my stomach and I couldn’t take another bite. For the price tag for the food and the lack of service and quality it is not worth going here again. Not to mention the hair!!!!!

Out of town for a trip, I chose this café after reading many glowing reviews. The popularity was evident with how busy it was at 5 pm on a Thursday. We were seated immediately and greeted warmly by multiple staff members. Our server promptly took our drink orders and was friendly and attentive. The salad was simple but elevated by a surprisingly delicious house sweet vinaigrette. The French onion soup was the standout of the meal, rich, authentic, and clearly homemade. Unfortunately, the pasta entrees were a disappointment. The grilled chicken Alfredo was overwhelmingly salty, nearly inedible, and topped with old, oil drenched fried onions, which is a shame, because I actually love onions. The “Penne from Heaven” was a small portion that was decent but unremarkable, at least it was considerably less salty. Both meals came with baguette slices that, unfortunately, were also drenched in old oil. The saving grace was dessert, the limoncello cake was light, fluffy, and delightful. Even if previously frozen, it was delicious. If I find myself back in town, I’ll be exploring other restaurants, but I’m glad I at least got to enjoy the soup and dessert here.

What a cute little cafe! Very popular so we had a little wait but food was awesome! Service was a bit meh but the food made up for it. Save room for dessert!

The local visitors bureau recommended this lovely spot for lunch and it exceeded our expectations. Warmly greeted by Christina who was funny and welcoming. Clean, beautiful spot. The food was amazingly good. Fresh ingredients, perfect portion size, wide variety of options. I had the barbecue chicken salad with pineapple—amazing flavors. Highly recommend when in Joplin!

Club 609 is a stylish restaurant and bar with a trendy ambiance, featuring bare brick walls and ever-changing local artwork. It offers an extensive menu of American comfort fare for lunch and transforms into a lively bar for Happy Hour and beyond. The classy bar bites, such as Sushi Sticks and Parmesan Portobello, are perfect for relaxing with friends in the evening. The atmosphere is suitable for families, couples, and friends alike.
Went for our anniversary dinner. Service and foo was excellent! Atmosphere was a little noisy, but there were a few large groups throughout the place because of Christmas. Highly recommend the portobello fries and bacon wrapped water chestnuts as appetizers! My wife had the Cajun Napoleon, which was immense amount of food! She enjoyed it very much and had enough for dinner the next day. I had the salmon, Cajun style, medium rare. It was done very nicely! The sides were very good. I especially enjoyed the flash fried parm spinach. A very unique presentation of spinach! Of the two glasses she had, my wife enjoyed the Filino Cab more than the Rombauer Zin. Very enjoyable time for our anniversary!
Duane N — Google review
Order the Cajun Napolean Filet. The cook on the filets was nailed. Super tender, and well seasoned, which included a Napoleon creme sauce. I dont get crab cakes often, but they were also quite tasty. The broccoli and mashed were under salted. The mashed also were relatively chunky, so more rustic than a traditional mashed. Still quite tasty though! All in all a positive experience and would absolutely order the Cajun Napolean Filet again.
Josh P — Google review
The food was quite decent but for the price it could be better. Chef Aden came out to talk to us a bit which was nice. The FHO staff left a bit to be desired. Everyone was cordial but maybe they were understaffed. Also, it was a tiny bit off putting watching waitstaff carry trays of food on their shoulders with their hair so close to the food. In the past, when it has been very busy the atmosphere can me chaotic and terrible. I experienced once a full bar seated with an entire row of people standing behind them. At a table with my back to the bar waitstaff was carrying trays of food above my head.

This establishment is situated in a structure housing numerous enterprises, and they welcome their guests through a central corridor. Customers place their orders at the counter and receive a designated number to place on their table. They offer a variety of Coca-Cola fountain drinks, with condiments such as ketchup and napkins readily available nearby. The menu does not include meal combos; instead, patrons choose their main dish, beverage, and side separately.
We are not from Joplin. We were going to try a different burger place, but it was closed, so we wound up at BTB. The food and service was great! Loved the games on the tables, the TVs, and lounge areas. However, it's in a shady part of town, and they lock up the bathrooms.

I recently dined at Social BTB, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The menu had a fantastic variety, and everything we ordered was delicious. The standout dish for me was the Caesar salad —it was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. I can’t wait to go back and try more items from their menu. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Fast, friendly, good food. We had the spicy green beans they were great. Corn nuggets were just right. The sweet potato fries were awesome. I normally do not eat them. My wife loves them. I tried these, and they were really good. I used korean bbq sauce on them it works.

Tilt Studio Joplin is a vibrant destination that promises an unforgettable day filled with excitement and entertainment for all ages. This lively venue boasts an 18-hole blacklight jungle safari mini-golf course, engaging mini bowling lanes, and a thrilling two-story laser tag arena. It's the perfect spot for family outings or group celebrations, featuring several party rooms tailored for birthdays and private gatherings.
Took my granddaughter here while she was in town for the summer. She had a great time. We went on a Sunday and it wasn’t too packed. We spent $40 for her to play and it lasted about an hour. We will take her back again next summer.

This place is a good way to distract your kids, however! It's outrageously priced, rewards after spending hundreds of dollars are the cheapest of toys worth pennies. Claw machine are rigged so lose as to not even try to pick up most prizes. In all it's NOT worth it what so ever. 20$ gets you around 80 pts worth of play. Very few games under 5pts per game and if they are last a whole 1 min to play. Most run 10-45pts to play.. again not worth it.
Adison S — Google review
It was not the arcade of my childhood, but my son had fun. There are way too many crane type machines and not enough arcades for me. The staff have always been nice and helpful. Mens room toilet needs a new seat. The bathroom as a hole could use some tlc. We've been a couple of times, and I'm sure we'll be back.

I love going Monday through Thursday after 5pm. They have this awesome sale that starts at 5pm and goes to close. And you can purchase it how ever much you want! $40 play card for $20! It's the only time I take my kids. So much cheaper for people with big families!
Cherish M — Google review
Ok, it's an arcade in the mall so I don't think anyone expected Six Flags or Dave & Busters, but its pretty dang fun!! And the laser tag is a blast!! ❤️
Yesimpossible86 — Google review
Stupid expensive, very few games geared toward younger children. Got 30 dollars worth of tickets and all points spent in less than 30 minutes.
Chris D — Google review
The place was great for kids and adults alike. I was confused by having to have 2 different cards, one for ticket machines and one for arcade games so if I bet kids are too, that needs to be fixed or use different color cards... I think it would be better if it had enclosed half walls to allow younger kids to not escape but I was with mine the entire time. Enjoyed laser tag; bowling machines kept messing up though so don't take a game remotely seriously; putt-putt golf was okay. Overall it seemed a pretty good place and alternative to ChuckECheese just more confusing at times.

Pretty good arcade for all ages. Some games are a little pricey, in my opinion. All around good place to go when your s/o is doing some shopping

Nestled in the heart of downtown Joplin, Beast & Barrel is a culinary gem that offers an impressive array of international dishes, making it a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant boasts a chic and cosmopolitan atmosphere that sets the stage for memorable dining experiences. Guests rave about their flavorful Brussels sprouts and hearty Shepherd's Pie, reminiscent of authentic Irish pubs.
I drove 2 hours from home to eat here. It did NOT disappoint. The seabass over pasta was mouthwatering! The staff were so welcoming and kind. I was so impressed with the plant shop they have next door too. Be sure to bring extra money. You are going to want to buy plants or knick knacks. Totally worth the drive for a fun day!

In town for a family visit, we knew Brian had opened his restaurant “Beast & Barrel” so we had to try it…. Well their not lying when they say the Brussel sprouts are good, there great!! It happened to be Saint Patrick’s day so I opted for the Shepards Pie, it was tasty just like I’ve gotten at true Irish Pub in NYC. My mom had the beef tips and she said they were delicious and more than she could eat. Our thanks to Brian and the wonderful staff at the Beast & Barrel, you made a lovely evening for my family! Thank You.

Superb Sunday brunch with a great vibe - a pleasant surprise. My daughter, who recently moved to Joplin, suggested we head to Beast & Barrel for lunch. She had been here once before and had an impressive dinner. Not expecting a brunch menu, we both were pleased with the mimosa options and ordered from the omelette portion of the menu. The food was timely and excellent, and the service was pleasant, prompt, and helpful. We both commented about how fortunate Joplin was to have such a unique, classy restaurant. I definitely recommend you head over to the Beast & Barrel!

Fun and quirky spot with a chill vibes, friendly service and elevated pub food. Interesting house cocktails round out the experience. You have to get the Beady Burger-salami, bacon, beset sauce, pickle, and a fried egg to name just a few of the condiments on this burger. The hand cut skinny fries are fab. Ask for the garlic aioli for dipping! Let very full and satisfied.
Cami W — Google review
So, I have noticed that this place is a hit and miss. I've had a really great meal here, but yesterday that just wasn't the case. I got the pasta Parmigiano and it was less than basic. My son's fettuccine was super dry, and the noodles were hard.

OMG! First off the vibes here are absolutely awesome! From the very first experience on the phone we were impressed! We arrived at 8 for dinner on Saturday to celebrate our family, Linea our server was so friendly and welcoming she new the menu so well and sold us on several appetizers. Pacific Point mussels are amazing! The Brussels Bleu packed so much flavor! I had the Impossible Burger with Risotto and Garlic Mash! This burger was fantastic! I also ordered some fresh cut fries to share with the table, Linea was so kind to bring an entire tray of amazing dipping sauces to highlight our meal! My wife and Daughter ordered the Chef’s Feature which was Fresh Salmon with creamy Dill sauce These dishes did not disappoint! Everything was absolutely perfect! We had an opportunity to chat with Chef Heather and she was top notch! Her passion for cooking shows in each every dish she creates! We topped off our night with several amazing deserts, The Ooy Gooey Browning and a slice of Sheet cake 🍰! Every bite was better than the first! All of the staff was so friendly, welcoming and helpful! Thank you Suzanne, Chef Heather and Linea……we look forward to dining with you all again real soon! The food was really good except the bottom of the pizza was a little burnt. The salad bar is a little expensive at $10.99 since there isn't much to choose from. We went around 1:00 and they already ran out of lettuce. After we ate we went to the prize counter and no one was around. Had to holler multiple times and even walk into the kitchen before someone came out.

Held my daughters 4th birthday here. Staff was friendly and helpful. All the children that came had so much fun. Pizza was great! Prices for parties are fair. Will be returning in the future.

Even for a couple who's 20 and 18 years old, Chuck E. Cheese is still such a fun place. My fiancé and I had an absolute blast and even got a lot of tickets for spending a relatively small amount of money, considering how long we were there. It was so fun that we even went back the next day-yeah, we're definitely kids at heart. The staff are incredibly friendly and didn't even give a weird look to two adults walking in without any children. The atmosphere is full of energy and laughter and with so many games and different types of games, anyone can have fun there. Whether it's a date, a birthday or party for a kid or adult, or just someone looking to pass time (like we were), Chuck E. Cheese is a great place to go to have loads of fun without breaking the bank.
Jaxx R — Google review
My kid's age 6 and 7 view this as the epitome of entertainment. Purchasing cards for an hour or two keep them well entertained and jumping with excitement. The food quite decent, though having tried the Smokey BBQ wings I would not recommend that flavor. Perhaps original? Pizza is really where it's at, and is at or above average quality and taste. I would give the food two to three stars, but for the entertainment due to my children loving it I would have to give it an extra star. Very friendly and helpful staff, the manager in particular was very polite very friendly and walked around picking up trash and asking people how they were doing. It's not someplace we go every week. But we will be back. Get some beer in stock!!

Went to chuck e cheese tonight for my nieces 3rd birthday. Almost everything was perfect. Carmine's Wood Fired Pizza is a low-profile, self-service establishment that serves delectable wood-fired pizzas and flavorful calzones. This eatery stands out for its innovative toppings and creative combinations. The friendly and accommodating staff make customers feel welcome from the moment they enter. The menu is well-explained, and the employees are readily available to answer any inquiries. At the register, there was a light-hearted exchange between a customer and one of the staff members.
This place is really amazing! The staff were very friendly and welcoming upon my arrival. They were also helpful when I had questions about the menu. The girl and I both had a little chuckle at the register while I was ordering. It was great! My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out tonight for the first time after just realizing it was there. They’ve got a very welcoming outdoor area for daytime or even night time dining with hanging lights! I will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend checking them out. I give it a 10/10 rate overall!

Absolutely incredible pizza joint! Amazing service and great family owned and managed business. Carmine and his wife were easy to talk to and good conversation was made. The New York style pizza could be the best I’ve ever had hands down. I normally drive almost 2 hours to Tulsa to find good pizza but now it’s just 45 mins to Carmines and I think it better than the place I’ve been going to in Tulsa for 5 years. You’ve got to stop and give them a try.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and the locals eat here. These folks are from NY so they know what NY style pizza is. 3 options to choose from and great wood fired garlic bread. To watch them make your pizza, including the hand toss in the air, was even fun.

A gourmet pizza in a casual dining atmosphere. Crispy New York style crust with a garlic white sauce base supporkng fresh onions, green peppers and mushrooms. An excellent pizza made to order. Definitely come here for a better pizza.

OMG...finally! NY Style pizza in Joplin Mo! There are two styles to choose from, NY Style or the Neapolitan. They are both delicious, but I prefer the crispier NY style. You can get it by the slice or a full pie. Its soooooooo good! You have to try this...you will never settle for the big chains again. Thanks so much Lily. Christine, and Carmine!!!

Best pie in the area hands down! The authentic brick oven makes the crust slightly crispy on the outside and a perfect soft chew on both the Neapolitan and NY style crusts. Other items look great, but the pizza is all we ventured for this time. Will be back for sure!

This is a nice little pizzeria with pizza prepared in a wood fired stove that they had brought in from Italy. Very friendly and accomadating staff. The pizza was very good. We went for something a little basic since it was our first time there and went with the sausage pizza. They also had desserts such as cheesecake and tiramisu but unfortunately did not save room for that.

We had a party of 8 and called a head to reserve seating and was told tables would be ready when we got there, and they were! we order the New York Style Pepperoni, New York Style Italian Sausage, Neapolitian L'Americano with Mushrooms, and Pizza Bianco Vico. Every pizza was cooked to perfection and were excellent. I never had a Pizza Bianco, but it may be my favorite pizza now. The Vico is not a traditional red sauce pizza and the sauce is made with olive oil. I highly recommend the Vico if you want to try a different type of pizza. The kids loved the Pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza and the crust was their favorite part! We had a couple of waiters and they were both amazing. Friendly, funny and helpful. The food, service and atmosphere at Carmine's is perfect for families and could possibly be the best Pizza in Southwest Missouri! Hungry Monkey Island Style Eats is a popular spot in Joplin, visited by celebrity chef Aarti Sequeira. Customers rave about the seared Ahi tuna salad bowl with its flavorful wasabi dressing and the surf and turf dish featuring perfectly cooked shrimp and ribs. The Mahi mahi with sriracha sauce is also highly recommended. The friendly service and diverse menu options add to the overall positive experience.
This place is an absolute gem. I have been wanting to go here for a long time and so glad I finally did. I always thought it was going to be super expensive but their prices are extremely good and reasonable. This was my first Hawaiian food experience and it has now inspired me to come back and try some more. I got the loco moco and my wife got a poke bowl both with the pork and it was fantastic. The flavors of the loco moco were very rich and savory and the pork was perfection. The macaroni salad was also a nice refreshing touch. We also got spam Musubi as well and it was delicious super tender and a great starter to our meal. We will be back and probably several times, this is one of my new favorite spots in Joplin.

It was our first time and we had a lot of questions about the food to avoid food allergies. While the cashier didnt know the answers she patiently consulted with the chef to answer all our questions and had a great attitude. We were able to find dairy and soy free options that were delicious with huge portions. It was really cute in there and we plan to try it again. I think the only down sides are it is all disposable dishes and plastic ware and the back bathroom area smelled so weird when heading into the sun room. Otherwise, such a fun and unique place for our small city.

visited on a Fri afternoon for lunch passing thru the I44 looking for healthy eats. I had a poke bowl which was perfect in every way a poke bowl should be. The small size is plenty for anyone for lunch. You get plenty of items to choose from to add. The sauces were delicious! I'm from CA and have been eating poke bowls for maybe 12 years. My guy had a hot plate with pulled pork. We also eat a lot of hawaiin food in CA. This place was pretty good to compare too especially for the Ozarks!! good portions. I'd like an option for poke nachos, those are my fav! Very nice lady working there too. and the place is clean and decorated cute themed, great place to take a date if you dont mind ordering first then picking a seat. Its a tad bit pricey but most places are going to be $30+ for two. We would recommend and come back if we are ever in Joplin again. healthy food!

The food was great! The service was friendly! Your atmosphere is clean and fun with lots of natural light in both dining areas. I love the little monkey that comes on the straw of the alcoholic beverages. Definitely coming back!

Coming through town on a work trip, and I do my best to eat healthy & stay away from fast food chains. When I searched “poke” on my maps, this was the ONLY place in town that came up! Added bonus that it’s a local joint, because as a business owner myself, I love to support small businesses! Delicious food, reasonably priced, and great atmosphere. I will be back!

This place brought me back to where I grew up. Hawaiian style food with a twist, and it did not fail. Staff is very friendly and if I lived in the area I'd be a regular. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND 😁

What a find! Delightful funky spot in Joplin. Complete with a salsa/condiment station that looks like the back end of an old surfer's car trunk. Small kitchen but big menu (they used to be a food truck, so very used to tiny spaces and carefully planning what to stock and prep to stretch into multiple yummy offerings). It was drizzly rain outside, but sunny and tasty in this place for sure. We loved the prickly pear slushies with the adorable colored monkeys on the rims. Our lunch was the Seared Ahi Salad (that wasabi sauce rocks) and the Mad Monkey Poke Bowl. My sister got the poke bowl with shrimp, and she loved every bite! I devoured that Ahi Salad. Who doesn't love eating forkfuls of diced mango that you didn't have to peel yourself? We did not try any of the desserts, but they all sounded like something you'd want on a beach vacation. There were families with small kids, old folks (me), regulars, what a great mix of diverse people. Everyone from staff to customers had happy expressions and attitudes. Nicolette (?sp) was a very gracious host/server and answered all of our questions. Very sweet.
