I recently took the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway train trip out of Jim Thorpe, PA, and it was such a pleasant experience! The ride takes you through some absolutely beautiful scenery along the Lehigh River and deep into the Pocono Mountains. The fall foliage made it even more breathtaking — it’s the perfect time of year to go if you love the colors of autumn. Get there early if you're visiting during peak season — the town and the train was crowded, especially on weekends in the fall. There is no booking in advance option in this period! The train itself has a charming, old-fashioned feel, with both open-air and enclosed cars. The ride lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, and it’s just the right length — long enough to enjoy but not so long that it drags. The narration over the speakers gave us a bit of history about the region and the old railroad line, which added a nice touch without being too intrusive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and boarding was smooth and well organized. Jim Thorpe itself is a lovely little town, so it’s worth making a day of it — grab lunch, walk around the shops, and then hop on the train. Overall, the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway is a great, family-friendly experience that offers a peaceful way to enjoy some of Pennsylvania’s most scenic landscapes. Highly recommended!

Such a fun and memorable experience! The ride itself was beautiful — you can choose between open-air cars and enclosed cars with windows. The scenery through the gorge is stunning, especially in the fall. The car hosts were super friendly and pointed out interesting landmarks along the way so we could get great photos. My two toddlers loved it! We went on a Tuesday in late October and were able to buy tickets on-site. Arriving about 20 minutes before departure was plenty of time to get tickets, and board comfortably. Definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Jim Thorpe!

This was so much fun! Informative, great scenery - and you can bring your dog on the train! Go early, especially during the height of Fall colors because there are loads and loads of people. We went early and walked around Jim Thorpe and enjoyed delicious coffee and donuts while waiting to purchase tickets for the train. (Read the website regarding ticket purchases.)

Scenic train ride offered for all 4 seasons including holiday themed rides - highly recommended! Definitely suggest arriving early as tickets for certain rides are first come first serve. I also recommend trying to sit on the right side of the train as the left side you'll mainly see the mountain side. Also dress for the weather because, at least on my visit, the train cars are not climate controlled.

Visiting Jim Thorpe just before Halloween is such a lovely experience — the town decorations are adorable! I took the train ride, and I recommend sitting on the side facing the river, because if you sit on the other side, you’ll only see the rock wall. The only downside is that parking is really hard to find, and the parking fees are quite expensive. That’s why I give it 3 stars. Each shop has its own unique charm, and I recommend coming early in the morning so you’ll have enough time to explore them all.

Will definitely need to go early. Parking lot fills up very quickly and u can text the number above the paying machine to use your card. Its $8 until next morning lol. The ride was pretty good and rhe staff was great. Alot of vendors set up when you get off, we went straight to the pastry.

Very nice train ride. It goes one way, then you flip the back of your seat to sit the opposite direction and it goes back to the train station. It was beautiful to see the different leaves of the fall colors. It was pretty cold in late October, so take a coat and hat! We enjoyed the scenic train ride for sure. The Poconos and river were beautiful.

I cant even begin to tell you how happy my husband and I were that we decided to do this tour. Leah, our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. She was so knowledgeable and you could honestly tell how much she enjoyed the history of the mansion and the stories. Great job Leah, thank you for being so interesting and invested! This is a must see while visiting Jim Thorpe! Everything inside was fabulous and I would go through this tour again just to take another look! 😀

Museum tour is filled with interesting facts about Asa and the Packer family. You can not tour the home alone. Tour is owned and run by the town of Jim Thorpe. Fascinating to see tech advances from the 1800s. The full mansion is not available to be toured.

We didn’t go inside, but the exterior of the mansion is impressive and beautifully maintained. It’s worth a quick stop to admire the architecture and take some photos while walking around downtown Jim Thorpe.

What a great time! This was such a worthwhile trip. Make sure you get Eric as a tour guide. I even had a question about a statue outside of the premise. They called me back and though they didn't have an answer they will call me back as soon as they get an answer.

The Queen of all historic homes!! The Asa Packer mansion is so beautiful- a definite must see if you love elegant craftsmanship and architecture. I drove 5 hours round trip in one day to tour the home and it was worth every minute! The only downfall in my opinion, is no photos are allowed inside. You have to see it to believe it.

What a cool house with wonderful history. We enjoyed our visit to this spectacular mansion so much because of Erik,our amazing tour guide. He knows every nook and cranny of this mansion along with all its historical facts. He's loves this place and it shows through his detailed tour. He really made our visit and tour special. It's so refreshing to see someone enjoy what the do for a living. Go visit the Asa Packer house and ask for Erik, you won't regret it.

Built in 1861, this Victorian Italianate architecture-style home was constructed over a span of two years at a total cost of $14,000 dollars. The Asa Packer Mansion listed as a National Historic Landmark was the home of philanthropist, railroad magnate, and founder of Lehigh University, Asa Packer, from Oct. 16, 1861, to Oct. 29, 1912. Located in Jim Thorpe, this building is recognized by a red-ribbed tin roof and a central cupola proudly atop Packer Hill with the commanding stunning views of the surrounding Pocono Mountains, where my partner, his aunt and I came for a tour today. Tickets were easily available and reasonably priced for the 1pm tour, which covered the entirety of the first and second floors. Our tour guide was a young lady (she mentioned she is a senior in high school) who obviously loves her job and is personally interested in the history of the mansion and family. From the furniture, woodwork, and stained glass to the artwork, she spoke about the history or significance. The mansion is not a restoration where pictures and video are prohibited inside. An amazing walk back in time, for which we can recommend this place.

This is our first time walking the strip of Jim Thorpe shopping on Broadway. We were visiting in the area and wanted some simple lunch after the Lehigh Gorge Scenic railway ride. We came across this restaurant/bar and the beautiful building design and menu available outside caught our attention. Service was quick and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was super nice and didn’t rush us. My wife order double crab cake and it was authentic and delicious. My kids got chicken pot pie. It was so good and fresh like homemade. The wings were lightly battered and cook to perfection. The spicy honey flavor added that adventurous taste. My wife also enjoyed her lavender martini. That was something different. Kids top off their meal with vanilla ice-cream and chocolate cake. Overall, price is reasonable and all meals were fabulous. Make sure to stop in when you’re on Broadway in Jim Thorpe.

We visited for my husband’s birthday and had a nice dinner. The stuffed mushrooms were amazing, and the chicken pot pie and lamb rack were solid, though overall the food was okay. Salads were average, but the bruschetta was good. A couple of appetizers we wanted — soup and crab — were unfortunately unavailable. The highlight dessert was the deluxe chocolate cake, which was rich and satisfying. Service was friendly and the atmosphere cozy, making it a pleasant spot for a special occasion.

My family stopped in on Oct 3 2025 around 6:00pm. We did not have to wait for a table and they were able to seat us on the balcony area which we enjoyed. Our family picked the following food items: Bruschetta Chicken, Underground Steak Burger, and Short Rib Grilled Cheese. All of the items were priced at 19 dollars each. Seems like a fair price for the location. The food was great. Everyone enjoyed what they picked. Tammy was our server and she was great. Very helpful. This was a great place, our family would recommend, it was was our 2nd time there and we had great experience both times. Will go back for sure.

During our recent lunch at Broadway Grille in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, we had the opportunity to try two distinct dishes. Crab Burger with Red Potato Fries: This dish was truly delightful. The crab burger was generously sized, and the accompanying red potato fries were equally ample. Both were served hot and were incredibly satisfying. The flavors were exceptional, making it a standout choice. Chicken Pot Pie: In contrast, the chicken pot pie did not meet our expectations. Having experienced more flavorful versions elsewhere, this one felt lacking in comparison. While it wasn't unpleasant, we wouldn't recommend it based on our personal preferences though the Cesar salad served with it; was delicious. Overall Experience: Despite the pot pie not being to our liking, the overall dining experience was positive. The food was served hot, and the service was commendable. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu offerings.

I got the short rib grilled cheese and added the bacon jelly and it was amazing, my partner got the chicken sandwich but said he felt like something was missing from it flavor wise. Otherwise the environment was great. Our server was nice: this was the first time we were in Jim Thorpe and I’d gladly come back!

The atmosphere at the bar and restaurant is outstanding. The fall decorations create a warm and inviting ambiance, and the food is consistently delicious. Molly and Nick, our bartenders, were friendly and attentive, providing valuable recommendations. Alexis, the bar manager, demonstrated exceptional hospitality, ensuring our experience was nothing short of exceptional. We revisited the Broadway more often than any other bar or restaurant. We would highly recommend visiting.

10/4/25 We were in town for the fall festival and stopped in for breakfast. It was crazy busy, after about 30mins we got a high table by the bar. Becasue there was only 1 bartender, we had to wait a long time for the bartender to come take our order. During a rush like this they should have a wait staff for this section instead of relying on the bartender to serve as wait staff. Anyways, the food was good. Broadway Breakfast was a good platter Cinnamon Bun Pancakes were delicious, I recommend this!

Very nice concert venue. Comfortable seats and pretty good acoustics. Adding sound damping to the walls would make it spectacular. Last night had a great Heart cover band (Bad Animals)!

This venue offers a wide variety music and shows. Along with great acoustics, comfortable seating, historic space, and a convenient location. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable.

Historic theater with friendly staff. We came in here and paid $5 each for viewing the theater from lower and upper levels and looking through the museum room. The history was interesting and the theater itself was well-maintained given the age of the original structure. The use of bathrooms was also a nice plus given the business of the town during fall foliage. I am hopeful to be back to experience the Transiberian Orchestra cover band at Christmas time.

I brought my teenage son to see a CCR tribute band here. It is an intimate and historic venue. Refreshments were very reasonably priced. Parking was a bit far but it was free and they had a shuttle for people who didn't want to walk the distance. Overall great experience.

Great night at the Opera House! Bigger than we expected & great acoustics. Highly recommend a show when in town.

An absolutely beautiful venue! I was amazed at how much the volunteers and donors in the community have accomplished in restoring this amazing building! Everything - from new carpeting to new chairs to new curtains at the stage to improved lighting and an improved sound system in the theater... And the icing on this great cake? Air conditioning!!! LOL... I recently saw Jeffrey Gaines perform at this wonderful venue... And I must say, it was an incredible show!! But I was also very impressed by the friendliness and kindness of the volunteers at the Opera House who made me feel welcome... The Mauch Chunk Opera House is a beautiful place... And the wonderful people in Jim Thorpe are helping me make that historic site even more beautiful with every day that passes!!! Five stars for this amazing venue!

Super cute coffee shop, must see while in Jim Thorpe! The atmosphere is so cool, the Harry Potter menu flavors are unique! I love the decor and everyone was very friendly

A charming little café but a bit overhyped. The quiche was really good, and all the drinks and baked goods we tried — lattes, tea, cookies, and muffins — were excellent and fresh, though a little on the pricey side. There was a long line during the morning rush, but the staff handled it well. We went back around 5:40 PM for another visit, but it was already closed even though the listed closing time was 6 PM — a bit disappointing. Overall, good quality food and coffee, but expect crowds and slightly higher prices.

The coffee was okay, but the decoration was really beautiful. I feel like this place is a bit overhyped. When they got our order wrong, they fixed it quickly, which I appreciated. I’m not sure if they were short-staffed today or if they usually only have two people working, but they should definitely address that, especially since it’s such a busy spot. We stood in front of the register for about five minutes before anyone helped us. Overall, it’s a nice place to visit and enjoy the vibe.

This place is adorable! the atmosphere really made the experience. there was a lot of comfortable seating and the vibes as far as lighting and decor were perfect. it was themed, but not to an obnoxious level, rather it was very tasteful. there were lots of fun menu options too! my boyfriend and i both got specialty drinks, i got a quiche, and he got a muffin. all was very good, but decently expensive. overall is definitely a great place!

Harry Potter–themed café that feels straight out of Hogsmeade ✨⚡️. From cookies and baked goods to savory quiche, there’s plenty to nibble on—but the real magic is in the specialty lattes (think butterbeer vibes in a mug 🧙‍♂️☕️). The drinks themselves are pretty average, but the whimsical, wizarding atmosphere makes this spot absolutely worth a visit. Mischief managed. 🪄 Tip - get here early as it’s a popular spot with both tourists and locals. Lines can be long and takes a minute to get your order ready but definitely worth the wait.

A little confused, is this still Mugglets Mug? The location is basically unmarked, very very loosely Harry Potter themed, and the huge TV was playing If and Wicked. It's just more of a witchy theme, lovely, but not really what it was marketed as years ago and was the allure that brought me here. That said, I got a hot Butterbrew Latte and it was delicious and the kids enjoyed some spooky sugar cookies. A nice stop if you are already visiting the area.

Magical atmosphere, Harry Potter themed, drinks are even Harry Potter themed. A must visit when you go to Jim Thorpe PA. You can also buy bakery items and the seating is so vintage. Definitely worth the visit.

Best food in the entire town. Really not a lot of good restaurant options in Jim Thorpe but this place is top notch. Slightly larger than tapas style. Delicious food. Incredible menu. Very cute and well decorated right near everything in town. The rigatoni , roasted chicken , and burrata were my absolute favorites. The mushrooms were also insanely good. Everything was amazing. Definitely the best place in town - I hate pubs and breweries/bars for food.

My wife and I came into the Jim Thorpe area for an overnight. Our B&B recommended we go to Moya for dinner as we were not familiar with the area. I made a reservation in advance and when we arrived for our 6:00 PM reservation we were promptly seated in the upstairs dining area. It is more quiet and intermit than the downstairs area. Our server, Andrew was outstanding. He spent time going over the menu, gave me a "tasting" of a new wine offering and gave us time to decide what we wanted. Moya seems to be Euro themed, the portions are smaller and a-la cart and the portions are designed to be shared and enjoyed. I had the boneless beef short ribs and my wife had the branzino, both prepared well and enough to share making for a surf and turf dinner. We were never rushed and Andrew spent some time telling us what's around the area and where we might go for the remainder of the evening. All in all, a very enjoyable dining experience. Tip- Parking, the streets in Jim Thorpe are tight and parking is at a premium. After 6 PM parking is free in the lots near the train station, so if you have a later reservation, park in that lot and walk the few blocks to Moya.

We stopped in during on a busy Saturday during the fall festival without a reservation. We were luckily enough to be seated within 15 minutes. The food and the staff were both amazing. My husband order the half chicken with the sauteed mushrooms. Both were very good. On a personal note, I detest mushrooms, but was very hungry, and waiting for my meal to cool down, ate a few of the mushrooms. They were sauteed with some type of white bean and parm cheese. I couldn't believe how good they tasted. I ordered one of the specials they were offering; a chicken sandwich on rosemary focaccia bread. The bread was so amazing. I could have used a tad more of the arugula, but it was so good. I wanted to save half for later, but had to finish it all because it was just that good! We also got the very fudgy chocolate ice cream for dessert, which if you are a fan of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Brownie, you'll love it. I Highly recommend this place, we stopped on a whim, and were so glad we did.

We had an absolutely outstanding meal and experience at Moya. From cocktails upstairs with Andrew. Every single dish was creative, fresh, and flavorful —a true delight. What made the evening truly special, however, was the incredible hospitality. We were so graciously hosted by co-owner Stephanie, and our server, Maxine, was attentive and wonderful. You can feel the personal family touch in their restaurant, and it turns a great meal into a memorable, personal experience. In addition, Stephanie's artwork is displayed in the restaurant. This is a must-visit gem in Jim Thorpe. We can't recommend it highly enough!

Beautiful restaurant, inside and out. Elegantly and tastefully decorated inside. Service was wonderful and food was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

Had to call in reservations in advance, they sat us immediately once we walked in. The à la carte meals were all proportionate for sharing amongst two people. The almond potatoes were fantastic, the rigatoni was a delicious and savory pasta cooked to a perfect al dente texture, we tried their special of the week which was an amazingly tender pork with a chipotle glaze, finally last but not least THE BRANZINO this fish was insane, cooked to perfection with a deliciously tart caper and tomato sauce. This dish complimented itself in every direction. Our server Aiden was super nice and very personable, he was very knowledgeable of the menu and was always checking in on us. It was a great experience all around and I highly recommend trying this unique and passionate restaurant

I am from NYC and took a nice overnight road trip to give this place a try since it shares my mother's name. The place is nice and cozy with modern art decor. The server was very friendly and helpful and food was really delicious. Hopefully, I will go back again when I do another trip to Jim Thorpe PA.

The atmosphere of this cafe absolutely gives Alice in Wonderland. It's definitely an inspiration for the aesthetic!! I have only given three stars as I was not impressed by the AI generated artwork that was framed on every wall. I feel that supporting artists who give the vibes the cafe owners are seeking would be a positive alternative as opposed to AI generated artwork. I hope to visit again in the future!

Cute spot with a cozy vibe. We tried the macchiato, mocha, and matcha — all were okay but tasted a bit thin and watery for our liking. The cookies, however, were really good! The highlight was definitely the server — she was amazing, super friendly, and made the visit enjoyable. Service gets a full 10/10.

As a coffee shop, this place is fine, i just take offense to the fact that their description is: “Laid-back, cozy shop with *vintage decor* serving coffee and tea, plus homemade ice cream in a variety of flavors.” The decor is not vintage—It’s horrible AI-generated art they’re selling for $15

A fun little spot with Alice in Wonderland–style, whimsical vibes. The coffee was flavorful, and the attendant was incredibly sweet—offering everyone a smile, kind wishes, and honest recommendations about the different flavors. The Mauch Chunk blend was on the pricier side, even for a tourist spot, but it’s a treat-worthy coffee. I’m giving the full five stars thanks to the wonderful service that made the visit feel so genuine and welcoming.

I remember we were here in October 2023 and it was our first visit to Jim Thorpe, we ordered for an ice cream(lavender lemon) loved that flavor so much it was unique and delicious 😋 and my husband said he had the best latte ever. So we visited Jim Thorpe today in October 2025 and straight away ordered 3 lattes and trust me it was Ah-amazingly good 👍 We will always go back to this cute, lovely and cozy cafe for a treat ☕️ Oh we had their triple chocolate muffin too and it was delicious, the sweetness was apt!🧁

The prices are quite reasonable for a tourist spot. The restaurant has such a cute atmosphere with an Alice in Wonderland theme. They also serve food really fast . I didn’t have to wait long at all!

Such a cute cafe with lots of unique drink options. I got the Caterpillar iced latte and it was delicious and reasonably priced. I appreciated that they had oat milk as an option (not every coffee shop does). The workers were very friendly. I could see myself becoming a regular at this place if I lived in the area.

I ordered french onion soup and specifically asked to leave out the bread/croutons. After waiting 15 mins for soup I was given my over priced ($5.30) cup of soup. When I opened it up I found 2 slices of soggy bread and 1/2 cup of soup. Don't bother eating at this place there are better options in town.

Food was tasty and they had some interesting ice cream flavors! Service was very friendly. I recommend the "Gran Slam" shake.

The Bear fish soup is to die for, clam, salmon, shrimp delicious.. wow what a surprise, PS the desserts are amazing

Took them 40 minutes to bring our food, which was burgers and fries, they forgot the fries… Really bad service, and dont look like a clean place! look at the restroom and the monitors in the front! Really bad service . I DO NOT recommend this place! It was our option running from the rain. Look for a better place

The food was delicious. I went there to go and get breakfast with my friend and it was delicious! My scrambled eggs looked amazing and were cooked greatly. The bacon was also nice a crispy and we both loved it. My friend had the french toast and it was very well made. We absolutely loved the staff as they were nice and the service was quick and fast. All of our food came out quick and hot. If you are in Jim Thorpe I recommend coming here. It feels super cozy and the service is amazing. It may not be the most classy, but it was the best food I've ever eaten.

I never leave reviews but this place was disgusting. My mom is diabetic so we just picked a random place because she needed to eat. We were seated by a waiter and handed breakfast menus despite it being 11:45am. We then overheard waitress talk to other customers and tell them it was lunch hours so we waited 15 minutes until somebody paid attention to us again and asked for lunch menus when we placed our drink orders. I eventually got a burger that was burnt and my mom had a salad with dirty produce in it. Her silverware was also filthy. There’s zero atmosphere to the place and everything was DIRTY! I got sick shortly after eating here and it was the only thing I’d had all day. Our waitress and waiters were not attentive at all. My mom and I were upset that we had wasted our money on such mediocre food and service. The owners I believe also came in and threw their purses and jackets behind my chair, against the wall. Very strange and yucky.

When we walked in, the waitress took us to this table with one chair. There were two of us, and we had to find our own chair and move it to the table. When we sat down and ordered, she told us french fries were an extra dollar. My friend got them, and there were only 18 little fries. Yes, we counted. Our two meals also took over 40 mins to come out, and when they did, they were awful. I got the chicken bacon cheddar wrap, and the chicken was incredibly hard to eat because of how dry it was. My friend couldn’t finish her burger. Our waitress also didn’t bother to check on us once. We were never offered refills, or got asked how our food was. We had to ask a different waitress for our bill because ours was nowhere to be found. The rest of the staff seemed really sweet and helpful, but unfortunately, we still had a very bad experience.

We wandered into The Mad Hattery during our first visit to Jim Thorpe and were pleasantly surprised by the whimsical Atmosphere of this perfectly located winery and smoke house. The owner was very friendly. The moonshine mixed drinks were unique and tasty. Our meals were absolutely delicious and very filling. I never had pulled chicken this good! The prices are also insanely good for a touristy town like Jim Thorpe, which is great if you’re not looking to spend an arm and a leg eating out. It was pretty crowded when we got there but no reservations were required and we could sit down and relax while waiting to be served after a long day of shopping and sightseeing. I definitely recommend this place.

New to the area, and i must say. love the cozy atmosphere. very homey type. the service was spectacular. My heart aches for Sarah because she was the only waitress in the establishment. It was completely full house, so many customers to attend. However she was a superstar. We was totally patient and of course there was other groups who are patient and understands the situation. I wanted to help for a bit but i decided not to because i don't want to cause any issues. Lastly, the food was very worth the wait. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, w| french fries. it was totally made with love. If I'm around the area i would totally come here again. Thank you again Sarah for your hard work, and enduring during the rush hour. Remember you are a superstar.

We had a great experience visiting The Mad Hatter during WinterFest! The atmosphere was so fun and our food was very good too. The place is eclectic, but that’s just one of the many things we loved about it. Sarah was a great server and our piano player was AMAZING!! Not to mention the cutest pup laying by the fire 😍

We had to catch the rail ride and for cheap parking, so we reached this neighborhood early in the morning (8 AM). we visited this restaurant for breakfast & coffee. The decor is amusing and unique, This place is Alice's tea party, it nailed that ambiance. The chairs had heart-shaped backs which perfectly fit the theme. I was here only for breakfast and ordered french toast with coffee. The only guy I saw was the owner, he was taking care of everything. so service was on the slow side but let's accept it, we are in this area to enjoy the moment and not to "catch the train" (Pun intended).

The food was decent but the service was terrible. It took them almost an hour to come out with my French toast and scrambled eggs that takes 5 mins to make. The lady made an excuse that her daughter dropped it but still took forever to come out. In addition, a table across from me ordered after me and still got their food first. Terrible service do yourself a favor and don't come here. Their coffee sucks and stay away.

Stopped by for an impromptu breakfast and had great tasting affordable food! Super-friendly service and eclectic decorations completed this charming style. We also got entertained by the lovely piano player. Tight space but the atmosphere made up for it!

Ate here for lunch and it was a huge hit! The ribs were amazing and fell right off the bone. The pulled pork sandwich was very tasty with the homemade sauces they bring out with it. The “adult” slushies were also very good! Can’t recommend this place enough! Also great prices!

Review limited to the two items that I had: Giant beer pretzel and a vodka mixed drink. Both were excellent. Menu has burgers starters salads sandwiches etc. Very fine service.

An unexpected delight 😋 Excellent food. Hearty portions. Reasonably priced. We both truly enjoyed our visit. Wife had the Hot Open Turkey with, of course, mashed potatoes. Loved it. I had the Ruben with a baked potato, delicious 🤤 Katie, our server,made our visit special. We were just passing through the Town of Jim Thorpe. What a special place. Must visit.

In Jim Thorpe’s heart, where the hills still hum, Molly Maguire’s calls, and I gladly cum. Barrel tots crisp like a miner’s dream, Hot ham sandwich, savory steam. I had the fish and chips, my wife had the roast beef sandwich. They both were delicious and my fish and chips was one of the best I’ve had. We have a British style Pub that I say has the best Fish and Chips, but Molly Maguire’s is a very, very close second. I highly recommend this dish. Roast beef sandwich had a very delicious horseradish sauce. We were on the deck and was quite surprised how quiet it was.

Great place! Seats outside were nice with the dog. They gave her a fresh bowl of water. We ordered a few things and everything was delicious! The cheese pierogies, wild, mushroom ravioli, turkey and mashed potatoes, a burger for the dog, and couple drinks. Customer service was excellent!

My husband & I enjoy having lunch here whenever we are in Jim Thorpe. Drinks are great, food is good, & we love sitting on the deck. Service was great as well. Only complaint is that I feel as though they do not offer enough food options. But overall great place!

Food was amazing!!! It was like having a home cooked meal. My husband had the shepherds pie, and I had the open faced turkey. The shepherds pie was delicious and flavorful. The turkey was fantastic and not dry (like I’ve had from other places) with yummy gravy and mashed potatoes. First time here and will definitely come back next time we’re in the area! Dominic was our server, and he was awesome!

First time at Penn's Peak for a matinee Frabkie Valli tribute show. The venue is beautiful, the acoustics were excellent and the show was great. Since we went on a bus trip our day included the lunch. Food was very good although a little skimpy, for the average person no problem but if you have a hearty appetite maybe not....its served family style, our server was hesitant to bring out more of the chicken dish. Nestled high on a hill, I'll bet autumn is spectacular show.

I always tell my friends that the "worst seat" at Penns Peak is better than the "best seat" at most concert venues. The only complaint I have is that it seems like there are less headlining acts and more cover bands these days. I hope that changes back.

A nice concert hall with plenty of parking, a bar and snacks for the show. We saw the Aerosmith tribute band Draw the Line there. They also have a connected restaurant if you want more than snacks.

One of the best or if not the best establishment I've ever seen a concert in. The sound is magnificent throughout the whole venue, no matter where you are in the building. I believe it's that place is made of wood throughout absorbing the sound, refining the music to come back to you in the most perfect sound, even bands that come there rave about how great the sound is and how much they love coming back to this venue. Highly recommended as far as concert halls go, and a great time to be had every time you visit if you're a music lover!

Spent a wonderful afternoon at Penn's Peak as my cousin's guest. We had a lovely lunch while waiting for the afternoon show. The wait staff were very friendly and made use everyone was cared for. The afternoon show was incredible! It was a tribute to Linda Ronstadt. The band was amazing. If you closed your eyes you would think the vocalist was Linda singing. Beautiful, tone breath and control. Definelty star material. The acoustics in the concert room was wonderful. I had the advantage of sitting in front. But the band was sensitive enough to ask if everyone could hear them or if they were too loud. It's not often a band asks that) It was a wonderful event with musicians who truly love music and a beautiful young woman with an incredible. Thank you

The best thing about this meal was the appetizers. We had fresh mozzarella Moon's fried to perfection. The chili was nasty, it was sweet. Never had a sweet bowl of chili( skip the sugar please, nasty) My son ordered a medium well done burger. The thin arrived still mooing. So red and nasty. Sent it back. They brought a correct cooked burger. They did discount it for 9 bucks

Wonderful memorial to a great athlete. His story is incredible and the memorial does a great job of showcasing it. Heard that one more statue is in the works for being built at the site. I look forward to returning to see it!

Great tribute to Jim Thorpe, just outside the historic part of town, including his grave, and several statutes of his Olympic and football accomplishments. A baseball statue is currently under construction. There is also a section detailing the history of his life and accomplishments on a series of plaques.

This memorial is quite impressive. The placards off to the side tell the story of Jim Thorpe, the man, quite well. Well worth a quick stop.

I did the Erie Canal trip with Pocono Biking and I am happy to give them 5 stars and more if they were available. The trip was well planned and staffed with experienced, knowledgable and caring people. Their motto was, "this is your trip" and they strove to make it an enjoyable one. The van was spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone and their luggage. The hotel and restaurants were excellent. There was no pressure in terms of speed or timing. I especially appreciated the signage they set up at the end of each day once we got off the trail to help us easily naviage to our hotel. Because of all of the above, we all had a fabulous time. I would highly recommend both Pocono Biking and this trip to anyone considering a chartered bike trip.

We loved our bike trip through the Poconos with beautiful views of the fall leaves, Lehigh Gorge and a few waterfalls on the way, ending up in charming Jim Thorpe! The ride was easy. The views were breathtaking and Pocono biking made all of it super simple. We did the 25 mile ride from White Haven and took the shuttle but if you are short on time, the 15 mile from Rockport is just as stunning and even if you just grab bikes and ride from Jim Thorpe, you will get your moneys worth! Also, can we talk about how comfortable the cushioned seat is? It’s an upgrade but the best money you’ll ever spend! 🤣

We had the most splendid experience with Pocono Biking. Our car broke down in the morning which resulted in a very chaotic morning, but they were very accommodating and understanding. The trail is very beautiful with lots of mini waterfalls and great views of the river. My favorite part was the bridge and the railroad (pictures included). I will definitely be returning if I visit the area again, this was my absolute favorite. To those who are concerned about the 25 miles, it is very easy riding and there are no uphills, but you will still get views of the bridge with the 15 miles option.

Great local bike shop with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They offer a good range of bikes, and accessories. Prices seemed reasonable for quality products. If you’re exploring the Pocono area or need biking, it’s a solid spot to check out.

I had an excellent experience renting from Pocono Biking. The crew was friendly and efficient. The shuttle to Glen Summit was great and the ride back to Jim Thorpe was enjoyable. The rental bike was high quality and the store has everything you need to enjoy a ride in Jim Thorpe. I highly recommend checking out all their services when visiting the area.

The rental bikes were nice, I would definitely upgrade to a comfort seat though. The shuttle experience was exactly what you'd hope it to be. The trail was well maintained and there were so many great spots to stop and take amazing photos or to just take a break.

I absolutely loved my experience here. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The menu does have specials that state "ask server" and I asked the server about all of them. Their specials sounded all so good, and he did not seem bothered at all to give me information. I was unsure about a couple of wines, and he even offered me samples. The food was delicious, the gnocchi special that I got was amazing. The reason for the food being listed as 4 stars is that the chicken I added to my pasta seemed like microwaved pasta that you could get from a frozen meal

The place is certainly unique just like the town. It was very hot the day we came and the beautiful shade was welcome. The waitress was really kind and helpful. It was a nice respite after the swimming lake. The food was not extremely memorable but the environment was really interesting.

First and foremost the food was delicious and the entire atmosphere was cozy and inviting. My husband and I ate outside. Our waiter Robert was soooo good. He was attentive and funny and we were very lucky to have him help us. While we were there the employees had to deal with a few absolutely insane customers. The kind that everyone dreads running into a group of the most stereotypical Karens ever. All the staff handled the situation in a respectful manner. The woman was angry that they would not allow her to bring ice cream from a local cart into their establishment. Her and her friends were heinous. They cursed at workers, repeated blew vape smoke into the sitting area while loudly yelling and carrying on. Everyone remained so professional (not me I clapped when they finally gave up and walked away) Their loss was our gain. We got to really talk to the workers because we wanted to make sure they knew that regardless of those jerks they were so appreciated. I’ve already planned a return trip with myself and 11 other family members. I can’t wait to bring them to the restaurant. Thank you for such a memorable night and I think you should add that mushroom soup from Saturday September 13th to the menu permanently it was just the at good 💙

Went with a very large group of people here. The hostess was calm and accommodating. The service was fantastic. The food however was a bit of a disappointment. A variety of dishes were ordered at my table of 7 and no one particularly liked their dish. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich tasted like microwaved chicken. The chicken tenders reminded me of Dino nuggets. Same texture. The pastrami Reuben was the only item relatively liked. They have a special chipotle ketchup that was hit or miss depending on the person. The chunker was also liked. Don’t order the Wellington, it was not good. Fish and chips was flavorless. If you want a quick something the outdoor seating here is on point but lower your expectations for the food quality.

I really loved the ambience, it has a cozy vibe. We went on a Saturday afternoon so it was quite packed. Service was pretty quick and their cocktail menu is beautifully crafted, which was pretty impressive. They have a beautiful outdoor seating as well. I’d highly recommend visiting this place.

The Old Jail Museum is a fun and interesting stop with a lot of rich history to explore. The museum is smaller than I expected, but still packed with fascinating stories and artifacts. The employees are super friendly and make the visit even better. The only downside is parking—there’s a tiny lot that fits maybe 7 cars, so plan ahead. Overall, I highly recommend visiting if you’re in Jim Thorpe!

A great little tour and insight into local history. Staff is very courteous and the gift shop is cute too. Tickets are super inexpensive and proceeds maintain the facility. Definitely a must see/experience if you're in the area 😁

We didn’t go inside, but the building itself looks very historic and gives a sense of the town’s past. Even from the outside, you can appreciate its architecture and the story it represents. A quick stop for anyone walking through downtown Jim Thorpe who enjoys history and old buildings.

If you're interested in history, and the paranormal, this is certainly a spot to visit. I enjoyed the tour they offered and even had a, thankfully friendly, visit from one of the spirits that inhabit the place. Getting to finally see the hand print on the wall was really amazing. They have Cell #17 closed, but you are still able to look into the cell and see the hand print on the wall, but you are not allowed to photograph it. I do recommend booking a spot for the tour before you go though, as the tours do tend to fill up quickly. I was actually booked for the second tour of the day, but I got there early enough I was able to join the first. Guides were very nice and I enjoyed the tour.

Great tour, we had a young man who did a great job on the entire tour. He has been there his whole life so he was very informative! We were in the last tour so he gave us extra time to explore, ask questions and he was great with the seniors.

A 19th century fortress built by Carbon County, PA in 1871. Housed a contingent of Molly Maguire's, Irish immigrant coal miners persecuted by those owning the mines and railroads (often the same) on fake charges after they struck for better working conditions. 10 were hung, at least 6 in the jail. Cell 17 has "the handprint". Just before being hung, one defendant put his grimy hand on the wall and said it would always be there to show his innocence. Scientists have examined it, it has been painted over, whitewashed over, scrubbed but always reappears. One person I was with said she felt sorrow and heard talking. Guides said folk have reported paranormal activity after hours.

I enjoyed the Wine and Suds Tour, the Ghosts and Graveyards tour and the Historic Jim Thorpe Tour. All staff were a blast! Devon was Hilarious and stayed in character the whole time. Bingo and Karen were great! Karen kept the group alive and moving. Ed is so knowledgeable about Jim Thorpe and the information is amazing. The trolleys are comfortable and despite the rain off and on they made sure we were covered and taken care of. I will recommend and come back with more friends

The Jim Thorpe Trolley Tour is an absolute must-do if you’re visiting this charming little town! From start to finish, it was such a fun and informative ride. The trolley itself is adorable—clean, comfortable, and gives you that perfect vintage feel while still being easy to hop on and off. Our guide was Glenn and he wasincredible—warm, engaging, and full of fascinating stories that brought Jim Thorpe’s rich history to life. His jokes were hysterical too! I loved learning about the architecture, the famous personalities tied to the area, and the quirky little details you’d never know just walking around on your own. There was fun music mixed in at points on the ride too that even had the people in town dancing! If you want a mix of history, fun, and sightseeing wrapped into one experience, this is it! Best of all, DOG FRIENDLY! Highly recommend!

We did the Ghost and Graveyard trolley tour as well as the Historic one earlier in the day. First, I have to say that once I got back to my hotel from the ghost tour I knew I had to write this review tonight. The historic tour was nice and informative but the ghost tour was absolutely fun and hilarious. Devin was our tour guide and he played his role amazingly well. He was in character the whole time and I loved every minute of it. After the loss of my mom a year ago, I haven’t really genuinely laughed at all. I never thought I would again. Devin changed that in the one hour that we had with him. I laughed so hard and really had a great time while hearing about the towns ghost stories and listening to songs that made this tour fun and silly. Devin had some great dance moves and jokes. I could never thank him enough for bringing some joy back into my life after the year I’ve had. I hope this review convinces you how great and fun this is to do because it is absolutely worth it.

We took the ‘Ghosts and Graveyard Tour’ on Saturday night with our boys (11yo and 8yo). We all had fun and really enjoyed it! Our guide, Devin Vasquez, was excellent - very funny, informative, and great energy. Highly recommend!

We did the Jim Thorpe 70-minute trolley tour and we can't say enough good things about it. Kathy was an excellent tour guide sharing a plethora of historical information and being just a fun person. She played some country, oldie and pop genre music that had the bus and streets dancing -- especially to YMCA! Ted was a great driver and though he did not say much, he knew his way around probably with his eyes closed! We've never been on a trolley tour and it was interesting to learn about Jim Thorpe, his life and experiences and how the town named him. There's no need to think about booking this tour, go book it and you won't be disappointed. I will say that it's best to drive in two hours (minimum) before scheduled time to look for parking because when we got there the lot was full and we got very lucky getting close parking on the street with a large truck. As for the area, there is plenty to do with the family and there are some cool stores to explore in the downtown area as well as restaurants to eat.

We scheduled the Ghosts and Graveyards tour and were wowed by the whole experience! The tour guide (Devon sp?) was so fun and enthusiastic. From the introduction to the end he and his ghostly companions provided us with an exciting, fun, and informative ride around Jim Thorpe. From someone who both hosts and attends LOTS of these experiences, I highly recommend this tour.

We had such a fun time doing the historical trolley tour! The seats were comfortable, and the person hosting us on the trolley tour itself was super funny and friendly. We were absolutely amazed to learn about Jim Thorpe and some of the town's history. We had no idea that he was such a cool guy. Even without the historical aspect of the tour, the drive around on the trolley to look at scenery was really nice. We wish they went a little more in depth about the mansions around town, but that was really our only complaint. The price is very fair for the experience. We would go back again and do some of their other tours for sure.

Awesome overlook of Jim Thorpe! I drove over an hour just to see this and between this location and a few others I was definitely pleased!!! I want to come back and see the town more as well when it’s not as crowded. This particular weekend was part of fall fest so I didn’t get into the town. Definitely coming back!

This is a small lookout in the parking lot of a restaurant. It's a steep drive to get up there, but if you like taking pictures, the view won't disappoint.

This is an resort heard that can be rented out that weddings all the pics posted here aren't accurate. If u pass this resort and drive about quarter mile on the left canyon rim estates realtors made a lookout place free for all, u can drive up there for free from 9 am to dawn. U can see lots of lots layed out. Once u reach the top u have the best lookout.

Conveniently located next to Pines Peak. Our food was fine. Two orders of fajita bowls and a burger, so that's hard to mess up, I guess. But, yes, the other reviews about how slow the service is here, are true. Over an hour after being seated before our entrees showed up. We had to remind staff that we were waiting for our appetizers. Our drinks went empty and we had to flag down service for our refills and orders. We gave ourselves ample time before the concert started to have a meal and relax, and still, we finished just few minutes before the start of the show, feeling rushed. If you plan on going here before a show, just mentally prepare to be waiting almost two hours between waiting to be seated and finishing your meal. You've been warned.

The views of the mountains were definitely worth the drive here. Outdoor patio seating made the experience even better to absorb the beautiful views and gorgeous weather!

Food was fine. View is great. Service needs work. Sat down. Now one came for over 10 mins. Took order, brought alcoholic drink orders only. All sodas for 3 people at table didnt come at all. Even once food came. Had to go to bar to ask for them. Never came back to refill anything. Split check wasnt split as asked. Saw our server 3 total times in over an hour.

The best view with the worst possible service and management and food. I was blown away by the view, but I was even more surprised at how awful the food was. It was a party if 10 people and everyone's order was either severely under cooked or extremely over cooked. On top of that it took them 45 minutes to start getting the food out like apptizers and 1 hour 30 minutes for the last plate and the place was empty!!!! They need to change the chefs. Horrible management. The waiters never gave us the utensils like spoons and forks so we can eat the rice and shrimp. They gave us empty ketchup bottles i had to get up and go get one my self from another table and the 2 waiters took 35 minutes just to bring out the sodas. And the place was empty!!!! Horrible management. The view was breathtaking and stunning. You will not regret the view. They charge a lot for basic foods like 20$ for a burger but I dont understand how they are charging that much and still have horrible food. Go to Slope side grill and pub 100 time better. Do not go here unless your ordering just drinks, like water and soda (it might be a 35 minute wait).

Great view and nice clean place. Service was a bit slow and took a while to get the food. Wasn't busy at all. Had the ribs and there was barely and meat on the bone. Kids had the Mac and cheese meal which is supposed to include ice cream, but they went and charged us for it. Don't think I'll be returning.

Table is a bit tight for 2 person at least the table where we sat (middle area). Waitress (didn’t know her name) was really nice and friendly (older pretty lady). Calamari wasn’t that bad. Me and my husband ordered different things but from the pictures seems the same. I had shrimp tempura, he had lobster. And then I ordered drunken noodles to go. When I got home and give it a try, I like the thick noodles that they used but the sauces/ seasonings I didn’t really like it much.

Wow!! What a hidden gem 💎. While the menu is extensive, the true star of the show is the sushi 🍣. We were pleasantly surprised by just how delicious it was! Sushi might not be the first thing you think of in this area, but Myst is absolutely worth a visit. We wish we lived closer because we loved it! Favorite of the night: the Myst Roll - the Crazy and Super Lobster rolls were close seconds🥢✨.

As vegetarians it can be difficult to find food especially in small towns. Somehow landed on this place on google and went in for lunch. Our server Alora was really sweet and kind and quickly helped us with the menu and provided us a different menu that is gluten free and for vegetarians. We ordered veg lunch combo which came with miso soup. Everything was delicious 🤤 we all loved the flavors, quantity and the texture. Will definitely come back here next time 👍

Wish I could give more than five stars for service. My wife is pregnant and the server went through the menu with us to pick out the safest items for her to eat. The server also double checked with another server to ensure the items we ordered were actually fully cooked and made additional recommendations. The sushi rolls we ordered were perfect, we would absolutely come back again if we were in the area.

I loved this place! my boyfriend and i visited for lunch on a day trip and absolutely adored it. the atmosphere is cute, quirky, and clean. the location is ideal because it’s right at the heart of the quaint town, looking out onto the square and the train station. there is seating available in the window, which we really enjoyed. our server was attentive and personable with not only us but the large party seated next to us. he refilled our waters very quickly and our food was out in perfect time. the food was affordable and delicious, as well. we were full for 15 dollars a person!

We were seated quickly for a table of 3. Loved how they used artwork from local artists to decorate the place & it is for sale! Waitress came to us quickly and was attentive during our time here. Everything came out pretty quickly, miso soup & Gyoza were HOT and yummy. Our sushi was fresh and delicious.

When you try to do too much, you're often not good at anything. Such is this pan-Asian place serving Japanese, Thai, and Chinese food. The salmon sushi was inedible, clearly not fresh. We also had to ask for it because somebody forgot. The green curry was watery and didn't taste like Thai curry at all. My fried soft shell crab and avocado crab salad were ok. The vibe is a college-town, purple and black gothesque place. The decor looked cheap and make-do and the art was mediocre. Decent price but I'd rather spend more money for a better experience.

Excuse my pictures since it was dimmed when my mum and gf came here. We were greeted right away as soon as we walked through the door. The staff was very friendly and professional. Our foods were AMAZING! The fries were so crisp and not soggy at all! If you like crunchy fries I highly recommend. Also they can make mocktails from most of the menus if you’re not an alcohol drinker!

Food was excellent. We had the sweet chili tacos, you have to try them, they are a hit. The margarita pizza was also great served on cauliflower crust. If you come to Jim Thorpe you must stop by. I also found my friends magazine spread while enjoying the street view, super cool @theagencychic

Awesome food selection. There was a street corn special that was fantastic. Had one of the best sours ever here, brewed from Rotunda Brewing. Bartender was a very chill and relaxed guy. Loved coming here and would highly recommend to visitors to Jim Thorpe.

Randomly found it while being that typical tourist at Jim Thorpe and was absolutely blown away by their food and atmosphere! Seating is a bit on the “could do better” side, but it’s a pub/bar, not a dedicated restaurant, so it fits the vibe. Their “Smash Burger” is literally to die for. Don’t be fooled by the typical “smash burger” name thinking it’s small; it’s a double patty masterpiece. And whoever came up with that Bacon Jam? Absolute genius. Now the flatbread pizza… literally unreal. Both the pepperoni and margherita were spot on. The dough was like a brilliant garlic breadstick, perfectly baked with just the right chew, buttery flavor, and crisp edges. The sauce had that perfect mix of sweet and savory, and the toppings hit the mark without going overboard. You can tell they actually care about flavor, not just throwing ingredients together. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, with warm, homey vibes. We sat upstairs where it felt like hanging out with friends, just a really good time all around. 10/10 will definitely be coming back!

One of the few restaurants in the northeast part of Jim Thorpe, and it was pretty good. My California burger and fries were mediocre, but the mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce were perfect. My family member got chicken and said it was great. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable.

I don't know how they are highly rated. I won't recommend this place to anyone. The food was so bad, we couldn't finish a single dish. On the other hand, the server (an old white woman) was so mean to us. She was muttering that we shouldn't order food if we can't finish. Overall horrible experience. Don't fall for the rating. Stay 100 miles away from this restaurant.

let me tell you about this chicken I had the today. It was straight up bussin', I'm talking next level flavor explosion in my mouth. This chicken was so good, it had me doing a happy dance right there in the restaurant. I mean, I couldn't get enough of it. I swear, this chicken must have been marinated in unicorn tears and sprinkled with fairy dust, because it was magical. The crispy skin, the juicy meat, it was like a party in my mouth and everyone was invited. I don't know what kind of secret herbs and spices they used on this chicken, but it was like a flavor bomb went off in my mouth. It was so good, I almost licked the plate clean. Almost.

Ok place with decent food. Lunchtime can get busy so plan accordingly. Omelette and breakfast sandwich took 45 minutes to show up but the kitchen did get overwhelmed at one point. Weird enough, not many places in town are open Mon-Wed.

The Mauch Chunk Lake a reservoir in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania created by damming the White Bear Creek designed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in early 1972. Constructed as a 50 foot (15 m) high earthen dam 1,710 feet (520 m) long and holds a 320 acres (130 ha) reservoir. It was officially opened in the summer of 1974, at a cost of $3 million dollars, which would be $18 million in today's money. It was commissioners Agnes T. McCartney and Rep. Daniel Flood who oversaw the venture. The lake is part of Mauch Chunk Lake Park. Mauch Chunk Lake is a fisherman's paradise ! Nice picnic facilities and also a beautiful Lake. The bathrooms are clean also.

A beautiful and serene lake with plenty of hiking and camping options. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the rental staff are so kind and accommodating. Highly recommend renting a kayak or SUP to really enjoy the water. The park rangers are attentive, and rules are well-enforced to promote both safety and mutual respect for this beautiful place.

We went camping at Mauch Chunk Lake and even with a heavy rain at night, we had an amazing time! The campsite was cozy, the lake views were beautiful, and we even got to enjoy a movie night right on the beach. Such a fun and unique experience — can’t wait to come back!

Jim Thorpe was overcrowded.....we came across this Lake Park by chance. It was a beautiful day out. The park was open to the sun and Overwhelming with scenery of fall foliage colors. Great place to enjoy your day .

The staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The facilities were clean and included hot showers and a cafe for after your experience. We chose the dam-release whitewater with class II and III rapids. They’re great for beginners who want something more than a float downriver. If you’re experienced and want a challenging adventure, you’ll probably want a different river. If you want a more calm but fun float on the river, go on a regular (not dam-release) day. I’ve tried one of the other companies on this river, and I liked this one better. The river is the same beautiful, family-friendly experience. The staff and facilities make the difference.

We are a family with three little kids. We love this place and had a lot of fun. Everything is very well organized, they will provide a lot of instructions before heading to the river. Meanwhile, there will be at least three people going along the group the entire time to make sure everything goes smoothly and offer you the help needed at the first place. We purchased the package with lunch in the middle of the rafting. Hot dogs, lemonade, water, apple, potato salad will be offered. At the end of the day, you can purchase S’more, chicken tenders, fries, burger and a drink in their cafeteria. All in good price, not crazily expensive like some waterpark. We will come back next year for a more challenging experience.

Very well organized, great guides and staff. Clean facilities. We had a great time. The only thing that made it less than five stars for me were the number of other participants who just had no idea what they were doing or what they were getting themselves into to. This resulted in us having to stop and wait numerous times while people are spinning out of control, not paddling, going down the river backwards, etc. I’d say the time spent waiting around was a drag, but we still had a great time and I understand it’s a large group with various skill levels. The guides are incredibly patient, God bless them honestly. Not sure if they have a more serious trip we could have booked instead for people who are experienced on the river.

We are on an easy tour, so it is not so rafty. It could be more fun if it is a bit bumpy:) But they are nice and friendly. We had good time there. Some of the guides are super nice friendly, some are confusing.

Definitely recommend! It was important for us how safe the river rafting would be for children and we were not disappointed. It was safe and we got a lot of emotions. Thank you very much. (Don't expect anything special from lunch)

Before I booked this trip, I wish I knew there were no guides on the rafts. I have never experienced this on a rafting trip before. There were two guides on kayaks, one in the front, directing the group, and one all the way in the back. It was a full busload of people, so if you had an issue you had to wait for the guy in the back to get to you (and he was the only one dealing with issues, causing the front guy to frequently have the rafts in front pull to the side to wait for the back groups). We'd done a prior trip elsewhere (not in PA) and had an amazing time, so looked forward to even more time on the water here. The EZ trip is basically a long haul through an area with lots of big rocks just under the surface. Without close guides to steer around them, people kept getting stuck on the rocks. When another boat was stuck, we didn't have time to steer around it and collided. I thought we'd bump them and push their boat off, but instead, it knocked three of us out (me, husband, 7 year old), and sucked us all under the boat (also knocked several people off the other boat). It happened so fast so I don't know how it all went down, but I was able to grab onto my daughter and pull her to me (and she was sucked under again, despite her life vest, as we navigated over another rock, the one that's causing my foot to be in the air in the photo; thankfully I was still holding her and grabbed her to me). It just so happened that the camera person they have along the route caught us after ejection. When I spoke to the rear guide after the fact he said he'd taken many "involuntary swims" in that spot, and said that while the water sucks your under, it quickly spits you back out. That may very well be true, but it was so stressful in the moment and I cannot even think of how awful it would have been had I not been holding onto my daughter the whole time. I never saw him while we were in the water and I was trying to keep my daughter safe. That rear guide was very nice, but he's only one person. The front guide seemed annoyed to be there. When they gave out life vests, there was no assistance in getting them correctly tightened. I'm so glad I'm extra cautious and that my daughter's was tight enough (the life vests offered by the other company we'd used were much more substantial, and they made sure everyone was properly in it, and specifically mentioned making sure to pull up on the shoulders to test tightness and the risks of slipping out of a life vest). We saw another group apparently run by a different company also going without guides in the boats, so its apparently not unique to this company (though I don't know if they had more in kayaks). Again, I just wish I knew this before I booked. Their website makes frequent reference to guides and safety. Two guides and that many rafts just isn't enough.

Loads of fun! Great guides and a little rain made it all the more thrilling. It takes a while to bus over so keep that in mind when planning. Ours whole trip was 1030-330pm roughly.

We stayed at the attached motel and decided to eat dinner here because it was convenient. We weren't expecting much but wow, I'm so glad we decided to give this place a chance! Everything was delicious across the board - bread, drinks, entrees and dessert. I was planning to get the pasta but ended up with the pork chop special and it was phenomenal - huge, juicy and packed with flavor. The service was friendly and about as good as it can get with only one waitress managing the whole dining room. The atmosphere is old school and cozy. Can't wait to try the pasta next time we're in town.

This place was amazing. They got us in last minute without a reservation. Very accommodating. I would make a reservation next time. Food is delicious and many things are made in house. I didn't get a picture before I stirred up my Veal colognes peppardelle. But it was absolutely delicious and filling. You will not leave here hungry. Make sure you visit this Italian restaurant if you are near or in Jim Thorpe.

Came in town for a wedding from Florida and had no idea what to expect. The food was amazing and the portions blew our minds. Pork Calabrese was twice the size of my head. Don't sleep on dessert! The "chocolate love" cake is to die for. House made everything. Full bar and the wine was perfectly fine. We live 1100 miles away and want to come back. Bravo to whoever keeps this place running. 👏

A places where fun meets flavor. This restaurant has fresh, unique and creative Italian food and hand crafted cocktails. Everything from the salad dressings, to sauces, to desserts are all homemade! Hands down, thee best restaurant in the area.

This was a last minute booking when our lodging for the Palmerston Spartan Race fell through. Great service, beautiful views. We checked in a little early and a staff member helped us at the bar. When we checked in, they made sure we had a reservation for the restaurant if we wanted one. The food and service were phenomenal. Thank you!

Yes it's a small restaurant attached to a roadside motel, but man was the food amazing! Super tender filet and pork chop, silky smooth mashed potatoes, and even delicious bread. Heck the homemade lemonade was also super tasty! Highly recommended if food is your focus.

The staff is great, very helpful and super friendly. The only issue we had - it felt a bit poorly managed once on the river. We were stuck behind another big group and it felt like most of the time we were just waiting for someone. Our group was also pretty big, I believe they mentioned 90 people per group, so it was pretty messy from time to time. Overall, still a great experience and another beautiful day on the Lehigh River!

Omg....This was the most fun I had this summer. My son's wonderful idea of rowing for 10 miles turned out to be a BLAST! The staff was AMAZING....The group of people that we were with were so full of fun. If you seek adventure with friends or family, I seriously recommend JTRA! I cant wait to go back next summer. I couldn't have had more fun on our rafting trip. There were 5 guides in kayaks for our trip with about 20 rafts on the river. I wasn't aware before arriving that our raft wouldn't have guides on it, but it added to fun of the adventure. The guides were readily available to offer assistance and advice when needed. It was also obvious that each guide was knowledgeable and loved what they were doing. I highly recommend!!!

Had an amazing time at Jim Thorpe River Adventures! I went with my family—my brothers and sister—and we had an absolute blast on the river. Our guide Ron was fantastic: knowledgeable, funny, and made everyone feel safe while still keeping the trip exciting. I've gone rafting before as a girl scout counselor with camp wood haven in the past and it was a blast, so I decided to take my twin sister with me this time. It was her first time rafting. She was a little scared at times, but then really enjoyed herself and wants to come back. We had a blast and Linda the guide was amazing.

Yesterday was a fun, and exciting trip with Jim Thorpe whitewater rafting. Although the rapids were not very rapid at all, and the experienced level that we took had very little experienced participants, we had a great time. All of the employees were very nice, the boats and equipment were very clean and we had a very sweet, honest and intelligent guide. Lauren Klinger was one of our guides and it was a surprise to find out that it was only her second day. She was very positive, sociable, knowledgeable, fun and honest. I would definitely recommend her for your next white water rafting trip! If you go with Jim Thorpe Whitewater rafting definitely request Lauren Klinger.

I've been coming to this store for decades. I grew up nearby , and now live in NY. I come back when I can, and it's always just as delightful as the first time. I feel like it's a full sensory experience every time I walk in. The music, the chimes, the incense, the mystical feeling...I could spend hours in here. I've only ever had positive experiences with any of the lovely counter folks over the years, and I think things are very fairly priced. Please stay open forever. 💜

Wow, Jim Thorpe has seriously stepped its game up in its awesome amazing gift stores, this town did not have this many cool stores a couple years ago. This one is a must-visit, it’s got gifts, decor and collectibles for every occasion and season. My phone is actually overloaded so I can’t even upload all the photos of this place— it is worth stopping by!!

A really unique shop that has a collection of spiritual items for sale, Christmas ornaments, and unique gifts! Go check them out and see what items they are selling. They also seem to have local artists in the area to sell items. There was someone selling homemade comic books out front. They also have collections of essential oils and other incense.

A very nice gift shop full of interesting goods! I would highly recommend visiting here if you love anything that has to do with crystals, books, spiritual things, and much more along those lines! I have made it a point every time I come to Jim Thorpe to stop in and see what they have because it is always unique!

I would give zero stars if I could. I had a very disappointing experience with a shop assistant—a woman wearing glasses—who treated me with suspicion after one of my credit cards was unexpectedly declined, despite the fact that I had already made a purchase. Her behavior made me feel as though I was being treated like a fraud. It was deeply uncomfortable and left me feeling that racial bias may have been a factor. I do not recommend this store, especially for people of color.

the old lady (i assume the owner as other comments were saying) was following my friends and i around and making nasty comments out loud. we were minding our business and started feeling very uncomfortable because of her peeking and blatant staring at us around every corner. The lady at the front however was very sweet, and this review doesn’t apply to her or the store itself. hope you can find new management soon.

Wow so good! They make all of their wines & ciders. At first I was nervous but the wine & cider we tried were both so good. The charcuterie was also delicious - pictured is a half. Both women working were very friendly and there was a sweet table outside. We would definitely come back here again.

We stopped in with high hopes as we love all types of hard cider. The selection was very appealing, too bad the woman who served us was absolutely miserable. She acted like us walking in the door had ruined her day. It wasn't even busy, there was a table of four who had been there and the two of us. The cider was average and the service was terrible. Even had we loved the cider, I doubt we'd return.

Great cheeses on the charcuterie boards. We had a “ bite” that went well with the flight of wines. The wines here are berry and elderberry/elderflower or her based (eg holy basil/tulsi wine). Many have NO grapes which shocked us bc they were SO good! Try a glass of their faux “port” and u will be hooked! Friendly Taryn is a great host!

I’ve purchased a few pairs of boots from this location in the last few years from Maria. She is an absolute gem to work with! She walked me through what she thought would work best for my needs and even advised on sizes since these shoes tend to run small. My one concern is I had to make some adjustments because they’re a little tough to close by myself, but once I’m in I’m very very comfortable! These shoes turn heads and get compliments! They’re spendier than your run-of-the-mill shoe, but you get a pair that is ethical, sustainable, unique, and beautiful on top of its comfort. Both pairs are over a year old and have seen their fair share of use. They are great quality!

I was one of Maria’s first customers about 10 or so years ago and knew I wanted to stop in her store today on my day trip to Jim Thorpe. I’m so happy I did because not only did she remember my name but she is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I bought a turtle purse and boots that are amazing. I had heel pain with the boots I was wearing and bought a pair of her boots on the spot because my heal pain literally disappeared wearing them. I wore them out of the store. She has such pride in her products and I love how she donates money to charities that are close to her heart. You will love her designs and the quality is amazing. Can’t recommend enough!

I have always enjoyed the colorful Mabacol storefront in downtown Jim Thorpe, but it wasn't until I walked in that I realized how much of a treasure it is! Maria explained all about the differences in the sole materials and her process of making the shoes, of which I remember very little. I do remember how much time she spent making sure I found something that fit my feet and my style. My feet are just too big for the cute boot styles I wanted, but I did find these very comfortable sneakers that I get compliments on every single time I wear them. They match everything because the design has every color! Maria stands by her products with a lifetime satisfaction guarantee - she repaired my friend's boots whose glue was failing between the sole and the body of the boot quickly and without issue. I love supporting local businesses, and even better when they use sustainable materials and practices. There is no downside to getting something from Mabacol!

I got the cutest handmade wallet for only $75. I don’t usually do color but this was so cool. I love that the money is going to a small business & is supporting indigenous craftwork. The wallet is gorgeous and I think it’ll last a long time.

Decent World Museum in the middle of Jim Thorpe. Has a good amount of history from the founder of the town to it being renamed after Jim Thorpe. Deathly worth a walkthrough if you have the time but it is quite small you can be in and out within a half an hour.

We saw one of the largest paintings in the world, a part of which was made in this Mauch Chunk Museum! It was the highlight of our entire visit to Jim Thorpe in September. The exhibition even became an immersive planetarium experience with stars and fireflies. Wonderful artist! The museum artifacts and guides were great too. Saw a Scholastic published book called "Ibi's Fireflies" there and ordered it on amazon. What a beautiful story! We'll be back.

A truly enjoyable way to learn the history of the town Mauch Chunk/ Jim Thorpe. The kind older gentleman who was running the museum was funny, insightful and engaging. Since it was a slow day he gave us a bit more in-depth explanations of the history of coal, the flood, and the origins of the name change. There's a lot more, but it's best to see in person. All the items were lovingly displayed and easy to see. The place radiated a feeling of genuine enjoyment for the subject matter. It was very pleasant to watch someone so knowledgeable about a subject explain so many topics. We even took some pictures to ghost hunt, but no luck. If you are looking for a great place to learn about the Town of Jim Thorpe, this is the place to go!

Stopping in at the museum was a highlight of our day trip to Jim Thorpe! The guide was so friendly and informative. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

The museum hosts lots of historic materials about the town, good for museum lovers and history fans. We arrived only half an hour before the closure, so got 25% off on ticket. The museum is run by a couple and the explanations by the lady owner were great. The coal story is definitely a must-hear one, I myself actually saw this type of coal while hiking near Jim Thorpe. Come to discover this hidden gem in the busy Jim Thorpe town. Tour highly recommended, as the materials were not very self-explanatory, you will get to learn a lot more out by talking to the staffs there. Remember to check out why it is called "America's little Switzerland"

I was here in the spring or summer last year, picked up this really nice oil fragrance, hoping to go again to pick up like 6 more of the oil roll ons, The owners were extremely nice and I highly recommend stopping in!

I felt harassed and abused in front of my kid and husband. Please do youself a favor and DONT go to this store or around. We spent amazing days and vacation on pocono mountains , so we decide last day of our trip go to Jim Thorpe amazing town that everybody talk on TikTok. We arrived early morning and spent the day on pizza place , trolley , rainbow end candy shop etc, wonderfull day walking around and exploring this amazing town everybody nice , gentle , giving us recommendations and talkative nice people. Till we came across with this disgusting and disrespectful people from this store. This store is beautiful , colorful very cute from outside. Us and another tourist was outside waiting for open because they open 11:00 am so we were waiting outside taking pictures from the store and family pictures. So this men owner or staff MONSTER , nasty , disrespectful men came from inside the door and call me IGNORANT because I was taking pictures in front of the store. He called a WOMAN ignorant and screaming GET OUT HERE , GO AWAY. we only was waiting for go inside the store. A woman behind too with mad face looking for trouble. My husband was a little agitated and upset , my kid nervous almost to cry, I didn’t said a word I don’t want to increase the situation. I just said let’s go guys it’s fine. As a reputable reviewer and always respect everybody business , the guy just only could say gentle, PLEASE NO PHOTOS ALLOWED. We went to other businesses in the town and everybody agreed with us , they are rude and nasty. There are more shops and lot of thing to do in this beautiful town.

Super cool small little shop tucked away in the town of Jim Thorpe. It’s loaded with awesome decor, tie dye & Grateful Dead apparel in any size, from onesies to adults. 10 for $1 cone incense, 10 for $2 stick incense in a variety of scents. They have all different kinds of CBD products for good prices, like gummies, oil and rolled joints. As well as a beautiful selection of unique pipes in all shapes and sizes, even a coffee mug that doubles as a working pipe! A must see store for any psychedelic enthusiast ✌️

I walked into the store and the man behind the counter immediately told me that drinks weren't allowed. Mind you it was almost 100 degrees outside and almost everyone had drinks in hand due to the heat. I asked if I could leave my drink on the counter as all other stores have done in this situation in the past and before he even let me finish my sentence he said "she won't let you do that". I think this situation could've been handled better. Why would you ask a potential customer to leave your store? UPDATE: I think the owner is missing the point of this review. I have no issue with stores enforcing their no drink policy. It was the fact that the man was rude (which apparently I'm not the only one that thinks so. You can check other reviews). Also, there are alternatives to asking a potential customer to leave while still enforcing the purpose of the policy.

Great place to get out for a spin on the bike without having to worry about cars. Excellent views are abundant.

Lehigh Gorge State Park has some nice scenic spots, especially along the stream and the biking path that runs through the area. There are a few beautiful places for photos like the “Hole in the Wall,” the mountain views, and some of the colorful graffiti-covered structures. That said, the main trail we came to see was closed off, and we couldn’t find any other accessible hiking trails besides the one that just follows the water’s edge. I also wasn’t able to find any waterfalls during our visit, which was disappointing. Until they reopen the closed trail or provide better access to features like the cave lookout, I wouldn’t personally recommend it for hiking. It’s more of a biking or casual strolling area for now, rather than a full outdoor experience.

But i gotta say this hike was amazing, the views, the greenery and the purest of water flowing downward was a sight. I suggest you start off to the right its gonna test you on your legs and your strength but the views and the aftermath of it will be worth it.

Beautiful spot. Enjoy the power of the waterfall as it roars down through the gorge. You can feel it in the air. Even on a hot day it feels cooler here. The air smells sweet, fresh and clean. There is a hiking path if you want. Beautiful view of the Lehigh River. Pack a lunch and relax!

Service was amazing, staff was super friendly and helpful. This donut shop is super cute and delicious. We ordered the blueberry cheesecake and Oreo cheesecake both were phenomenal and tasted just like they sound. $4 each. We cannot wait to come again to buy a dozen and try their drink selection out!

The donuts were okay at best. They were definitely better than your average donut you would get at like Dunkin. However, these donuts were not worth the price. My family and I got a dozen for $35. Now I would like to say that we did get there in the early afternoon so many of the popular donuts were gone (NYC cheesecake, cannoli, Oreo cheesecake, etc). I would say overall the donuts are decent at best but not worth the money and hype. The service was very good however and the workers were very kind and helpful.

Great donut shop! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great tasting donuts that are light and fluffy. The raspberry pistachio was yummerific. We went first thing in the morning before they sold out-so glad we did! A must stop while in Jim Thorpe.

They have one of the best nitro cold brew formulas I have ever hard; not bitter and smooth. Their flavor options are good too. I had their coconut creme donut and it was delicious. I tried the lavender honey macaroons and they were okay (very strong lavender taste). I came here twice due to the nitro cold brew and both times it was of good taste.

Quaint little shop , conveniently one of the earliest shops open. , got two blueberry doughnuts and they seem a little off on color but none the less the inside was a bright blueberry blue , only issue was it was a slightly dry and of course the color ….glazed was also the same color. The sandwich was a bacon egg and cheese on an English muffin. . Cheese was a bit off putting had a sourness to it in my view .

Amazing food and beverage choices. Very kind and accommodating. We lost merchandise, and they were so helpful in fixing the situation. The cookies and cream donut was fantastic, as well as the cold brew coffee. They were busy because of how good this place is. Five stars all around.

The coffee is wonderful, but the croissants are even better! It’s impossible to eat just one (or my case, “just” two!!). And Megan is wonderful as well, always keeping her cool & composure despite sometimes lengthy early morning lines. She deserves “combat pay!”☕️😺

The waitress was kind, they came to check on us regularly and were accommodating for a big group. The buffalo chicken pizza was the best I have had in a while; very delectable sauces, yummy chicken and a good crust makes it a good staple of the pizzeria. The Hawaiian pizza was lacking in ham but it was good otherwise

Nice, low key pizza place - quiet, American pizza shop. Stopped for a beer and a pie - my birthday treat. Service was fast - place was clean and homey - ordered a pie with pepperoni- thank goodness they don't have anchovies - my hubby's preference. Prices were fair for the area. Has a bar next door for a drink or you can have it at the table with your meal. Also, please tip the waitress- in America the waitstaff depend on tips - you are told this before you visit the United States so tip the waitress when you're done.

I recently visited this restaurant over the weekend. It was quite busy, which is understandable since there aren’t many dining options in the area. The restaurant was okay — good to average. It just fills your hunger, nothing special. The food didn’t have much flavor, and it was quite greasy. The service was good, but I don’t think I would come back again.

We just stopped in for a slice of pizza to hold us over until our dinner later that evening so we just took a slice each to go. after that slice I was thoroughly disappointed that I did not have another slice. It was so good! I live in Cleveland where good pizza is kind of non-existent but I am originally from South Jersey where good pizza can be found all over the place. This pizza reminded me of Ocean City boardwalk pizza. It did not disappoint. I want more pizza.

Stopped in during the fall festival. Place was clean, warm, and had clean bathrooms for customers. We got a slice of cheese and buffalo chicken pizza. We also got a steak hoagie. Food was really good. Service was fast. We were uncertain of the 3.9 star rating but not sure if that is from old reviews or not but this place was really good. If you are in Jim Thorpe and want some pizza I would definitely stop in for a quick slice.

Stopped in because I saw they had fettuccine alfredo and I had a craving. The Alfredo was very good. I don't care for al dente and forgot to tell them to cook the fettuccine so it was soft. Overall a good dish. The shrimp and fries basket was good. I asked for the fries extra crispy and they were very good. Will go back again because the pizza looked good. I deducted from the atmosphere because there were knats in the dining room and it was October.

We rode the train in Jim Thorpe. Afterward we went looking for a place to eat. The places closest to the train depot were crowded so we ventured further up the street. Antonio's was great! The pizza was probably the best we've had!

I had an amazing birthday dinner here! The staff were all very warm and friendly. The drinks were great, we got Mermaid Water and an Orange Crush. My party of 3 all loved their meals. Two of us got the Carbon County Tortellini and subbed the tortellini out for angel hair. It was heavenly. We also got mozzarella half-moons and a pound of chicken wings with garlic parm sauce which were both fantastic. The prices were very reasonable! Would definitely come back!

My experience at this restaurant was somewhat mixed. We were seated promptly upon arrival, though it took a little while for our server to greet us. He was pleasant once he arrived, and we started with the crab dip—recommended in another review—along with some drinks. The pacing of the meal, however, was less than ideal. Our entrées arrived at the same time as the appetizer, which made the experience feel rushed. My burger was generously portioned but overwhelmed by too much bread, though the fries were crisp and well-prepared. My wife’s pasta was enjoyable and well executed. Service, unfortunately, declined as the meal went on. Our server was difficult to locate, our water glasses went unfilled, and there was no offer of an additional drink. It also took quite some time to receive the check, which left a lackluster final impression. Overall, while there were some bright spots in the food, the service and pacing detracted from the experience.

Hands down the best lobster roll I’ve ever had- including all of New England. NO nonsense-lobster, butter, roll- the way it’s meant to be! Big chunks too! To. Die. For! Every time we’ve been here we’ve loved all the food. Service is super friendly and accommodating, desserts amazing. Crab dip- YUM! We live local so even as take out- it’s all done amazingly! Packaged just right!

I am not a seafood person so most of this menu was lost on me. The garlic parm wings were good but tiny. The cheesesteak egg rolls were good. The building is beautiful. The decor was cool and interesting to read the signage.

Party of 2. Were seated immediately. Wait staff was very warm. Drinks: My wife ordered an unsweetened iced tea, with tons of sugar packets. She reported it was delicious. I ordered a long island iced tea, and it was very good, not the best i've had, but solid. Apps: We ordered the vegetable spring rolls, and half a pint of house pickles, which is actually a side. The vegetable spring rolls were we're absolutely excellent, crunchy with a solid filling. Easily rivaled sit down chinese. It wasn't just a cabbage roll and damn good. The asian dipping sauce was a little hot for my wife, I found it to be delicious. But, to be honest, the rolls stood on their own. As for the pickles, my wife found them a little heavy on the vinegar. But again, I found them to be an excellent compliment to my main later on, and not only did I find them delicious. I appreciate that the kitchen takes the time to make them from scratch. Mains: I inquired about the ostrich steak, as the size wasn't published. 5-6oz, I wanted to try it, but to be honest I was substantially more hungry then that. However, the pictures look good. In the future I might give it a go. I ended up getting the 10 Gauge Winger "1 lb. chicken wings (choose your sauce) with 1/2 rack honey bourbon BBQ Pork spare ribs. Served with F.F & coleslaw" I choose as is with the exception I wanted the wings naked with salt and pepper. This was easily accommodated but not an option on the menu. ? I was good, I found ribs to be a little plain. I was expecting a little bit more laquor ir some smoke. But they were still fall of the bone and enjoyable. The wings I found plump and delicious, when the menu stated bell & Evans, I like the flavor of there chicken. So with salt and pepper it was perfect for me, I can't comment on there wing sauces. My wife got the Watch Tower Portobello, she really enjoyed it. As she's vegetarian she often reports pasta dishes as plain or one note, but this had a lot going on which she appreciated. Dessert: We felt this place actually warranted Dessert which for us is rare. so we got it. I got the new york cheesecake, which comes with a strawberry drizzle However I prefer it plain. It was very good, it tasted more on the sweet end like a junior's cheesecake, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. My wife got the Crème brulee and she thought it was excellent, she reported that the crust was not burned But just as it should be, and the custard was flavorful. End thoughts. Overall, this restaurant really doesn't look like anything from the street. It doesn't have that antique charm on the outside like a lot of restaurants in jim thorpe. But its got lots of charm inside. The dining experience was extremely pleasurable. Needless to say we were both a little bit surprised that the dinner was that refined. Would definitely come back, plenty of options on the menu to explore. Thank you for a wonderful dinner, the time and effort by your staff was evident..

Cool atmosphere in an old bank! Food was delicious! Good prices and generous portions. My wife loved the salad, and I had a great London Broil special for under $20

My husband and I were in Jim Thorpe for the first time today traveling from Harrisburg for a marketplace find. I've always wanted to visit Jim Thorpe and although we could've ate on Broadway we really just wanted a sub. Gaetano's is delicious! The fries were probably the best we've had in a long long time and our subs were fresh and so good! Let's also talk about the garlic knots!!! They were AWESOME! Thank you so much for wonderful food and service. We can't wait to come back.

We were working Construction. We googled Pizza places near our location. We could this Restaurant and the Pizza was so perfect. It was the best we ever had. The Owner, Cashier, was great. We did order 4 large they were totally delicious. Thank you all so much.

Food We savored a delightful assortment of menu items, which included fried mushrooms, fried cauliflower, a slice of thin Neapolitan pizza, a slice of Sicilian cheese pizza, meatballs, and an eggplant Parmesan sandwich. Each dish was freshly prepared to order, and we unanimously agreed that the Neapolitan pizza was the highlight of the meal. Service Despite the bustling atmosphere of the Fall Festival, the staff was attentive and accommodating. They provided excellent recommendations as we aimed to sample a variety of menu options. Atmosphere The dining space is charmingly simple yet cozy, perfect for a quick meal. We appreciated the availability of customer restrooms, which were clean, well-appointed, and well-stocked.

Food was delicious and we enjoyed everything we ate; pizza was amazing, burger and pasta as well. Furthermore, this store was not expensive at all and had respect to their customers! We are visiting from New Jersey area and was a good choise.

Just traveling thru, wanted to check out the town of Jim Thorpe but not F250 friendly. Just outside the over crowded city found this place with ample parking and it made the stop to Jim Thorpe worth it. Loved the garlic knots and the pizza was one of the best we’ve had. So fresh and tasty! Large pizza so big we have plenty for tonite with a cold beer!

Owner is uncaring and very unfriendly. My mom really needed a bathroom. The owner was rude and said it wasn't his problem, she needed to buy something. She agreed, said her daughter, me, would come in. He said "show me the money first " This man is a jerk.
