Yes it gets very crowded on wknds & holidays. Yes there's a wait to order, and again for your order to be ready. But all of it really isn't that bad... because this is the absolute best clam chowder on the West Coast - and anything west of the Mississippi. (For anything east of the Mighty Miss, you have to go to Massachusetts or Delaware!) Been here twice (Apr2025(2) & July2025 (5 of us)), line out the door & around the corner but it moved quickly and our order was taken 15 minutes later in both visits. The chowders,, calamari, and fish & chips arrived 15-20 minutes later and by then we already had a choice among 3 tables or counter seats opening up! Get the chowder loaded or not; scoop it up w/sourdough or not... any which way, it's way way beyond any chowder you'll ever have (except for a few very comparable venues on the East Coast). Fish & Chips were also exceptional! FYI - there are many along the Central CA Coast who also serve clam chowder... after sampling nearly 3 others hoping to find similar top-notch chowder, no one comes close to Splash!

Located near the pier in Pismo Beach. The clam chowder did have many clams, seems there were more porato chunks than clams. There was line to get in, so I was expecting amazing clam chowder, so I was disappointed to find it to be mediocre at best. The seafood salad was huge with lots of shrimp and crabmeat(surimi?). The staff are very efficient and got people their food quickly, so the line does move quickly. I was there on a Saturday in October and the place was packed, making it hard to find an open table. I can't imagine what it's like in July!

First time here, super yummy loaded chowder and discounted on Thursday! Love that they toast the center that gets cored out of the bread bowl. Friendly and quick service! Took a second to find seating but most people eat and leave quickly. Will definitely come back!

We finally made the stop at Splash Cafe in Pismo Beach and there was no question what we were ordering. We came for the clam chowder and it totally lived up to the hype. It was rich and creamy with the perfect thickness that made every bite feel hearty and satisfying. The flavor was spot on too with a great balance of cream, herbs, and just enough clam without being too overpowering. We did not get it in the bread bowl this time, just a regular cup with a side of their bread, but that was more than enough to hit the spot. The bread had a soft inside with a slight crust on the outside and dunking it into the chowder was just so good. Every dip soaked up the chowder perfectly and gave it a satisfying bite that kept us going back for more. My wife and I finished it quickly and looked at each other like yep, that was worth it. The place itself has a fun beachy vibe with surf-themed decor and a laid back energy. It gets a bit crowded but the line moved pretty fast and the staff kept things moving. Definitely worth stopping in if you are in Pismo. Next time we are getting the fully loaded bread bowl for sure.

Splash Café absolutely lives up to the hype. I ordered the Fish Combo with calamari and cod, along with their famous clam chowder in a bread bowl, and everything was exceptional. The calamari was perfectly fried, tender, and seasoned just right. The cod was flaky inside with a crisp, golden coating that wasn’t greasy at all. The fries were fresh and everything came out hot. The clam chowder deserves its reputation. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, and the bread bowl was toasted perfectly with that buttery, crispy top. Easily one of the best chowders I’ve had on the Central Coast. Service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want from a beach town staple. If you’re anywhere near Pismo Beach, Splash Café is a must. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Dude. The best clam chowder bread bowl I've had. Hands down. It's an award winning clamp chowder 18 years running. This is a must here. The lobster roll was also legit. It's a cold roll with mayo and celery. So damn good. I can eat that every day. I have to come back to try the fish and chips. It was worth the 3 hour drive from LA.

My favorite place in Pismo for clam chowder soup and best onion rings! My daughter ordered a chicken sandwich and loved it! The ahí tuna tacos are amazing! So close to the beach! Small place had to wait for a table but not bad the wait time. The ambiance is enjoyable!

We highly recommend this famous homemade cinnamon roll shop. It is a delicious pastry that you should not and cannot miss while in Pismo Beach or the surrounding area. This cinnamon roll shop is only two minutes away from Pismo Beach by car. The cinnamon rolls are handmade and baked fresh daily using Betty’s original recipe. All the flavors we have tried were wonderful so it is tough to pick a favorite. The pecan cinnamon with frosting is one of our favorites. It is very satisfying with plenty of nuts. The frosting on the top gives it a rich and uniquely sweet flavor. This cinnamon roll is a perfect dessert after we have In-N-Out burgers. It is not only a great dessert, it is also the best cinnamon roll I've ever had.

Located right by the beach, on Dolliver St. near Pismo Ave, across the street from the city's public parking lot. There is street parking, but can be difficult to find an available spot. I walked here since our hotel was at a walking distance. This was the perfect spot to stop by after lunch. Its name says it all, Cinnamon Rolls galore! Topping choices of 'cream cheese, pecans, walnuts, almonds, maple bacon, frosting with cherries, carrot cake, or simply original'. They also serve 'coffee, tea, hot chocolate, frozen lemonade, soda, milk, juice, and espresso drinks'. Prices are reasonable. I tried their 'Pecan and Frosting with Cherries' because I couldn't make up my mind. Warm and lightly toasted yet so soft inside. They were both delicious but the Cherries one was my favorite, Service was fast and efficient, there was a long line, however the cashiers moved the line fast. Some tables outside if you want to eat there. I walked to the pier plaza and sat on a bench to enjoy my cinnamon rolls. Overall, I had a good experience here and definitely recommend.

Old West Cinnamon Rolls is such a charming little spot in Pismo. The staff were incredibly sweet and very kind as they helped us choose a roll. You can tell they care about making sure people enjoy their visit. We went with a classic cinnamon roll with icing, and the flavor of the cinnamon was rich and satisfying. The roll itself was soft and fluffy, and the icing was definitely the best part. It was creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet to bring it all together. That said, my wife and I kind of shot ourselves in the foot. We got our cinnamon roll cold and we’re not sure if that is how they normally serve it or if we were supposed to ask for it to be heated. We ended up warming it up when we got home about four hours later. It still tasted good, but we could tell it was not the fresh experience we had read about. Even with that, we would absolutely recommend this place. The quality is clear and next time we will definitely make sure to enjoy it warm and fresh. It is a solid stop for anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely delicious rolls, worth the 10min wait in line. Soooo good. Make sure to ask for utensils during the order. Buns come out quickly, coffee, even a drip, takes a while. Only two small tables and a bench outside, which fill up quickly. Don't plan to eat here if you can help it. Take it to go!

I have to say that I am not big on cinnamon rolls but I thought they were good. But not like omg I have to visit here if I am in Pismo Beach. Lemonade was overly sweet.... But I guess it has to be... Otherwise you can't taste it after eating the cinnamon rolls. It's a very charming place though. You can watch them make it and they sell a bunch of related stuff like cinnamon and frozen cinnamon rolls and hello Kitty toys and other plushies. There are a few tables outside on the sidewalk and bathroom inside. The mural outside is very pretty and it's fun to take pictures while waiting for the food.

You can share one, but you won't want to. These delectable rolls are great for picnics, going on the road, beach bonfires and camping, or just good ol' self care. My husband was on a road trip and brought a huge box home. It took three people a good three days to plow through them. I must say ordering too many is not a real thing because when you get a hankering for another, it'll most likely be there.

Ok, it was a bummer that we had to wait in line a long time, like almost 30 minutes- but that was because of the massive amount of rolls people ahead of us ordered, in addition to their coffee orders. So I get it. When we finally ordered it was very quick to get our rolls. It's a Pismo staple and a tourist destination, but above all, really tasty. And it's fun to watch them prepare them as you wait in line. And the smell of cinnamon rolls baking- there are worse places you can spend your time. We got ours to go and walked to the pier. Great place!

This place was fantastic! Great service, very clean, and top notch food. We visit pismo often but have never tried the Cracked Crab. Safe to say we will be back every time we visit! Brandy was our server, she was very gracious and polite. She made our experience very comfortable, especially with a us having a young child, it can be rare to feel welcomed. I got the King crab dinner, 10/10, crab was cooked perfectly and it was the perfect serving for the price. My husband got the shrimp pasta and he said it was also a great choice. If you are in Pismo skip Ada’s and spend the extra buck at Cracked Crab!

First time visiting and the food was amazing!! So many choices but with my server, Tabitha’s help, I ordered the clam chowder, steamed clams and Alaskan Bairdi Crab dinner. The food was excellent, but the clams were to die for!! Served in a white wine cream sauce with a perfect kick of cracked pepper! So perfect to dip the delicious sourdough rolls and even enhanced the crab meat which was delicious in its own right. Couldn’t get enough of it! Generous servings too! Can’t wait to come back and try some of the other offerings. Highly recommend, but be aware, the place is small so they don’t accept reservations and there is always a line. Fortunately for me, the line on a Tuesday evening (around 5 pm) was not long. Thank you Tabitha and everyone at the Cracked Crab!!

We tried the crab and seafood, starting with the crab bisque and the seafood bucket for two, which included dungeness crab, shrimp, corn, hot links, and potatoes. While the bisque had good flavor, it was quite watery and could have benefited from a thicker consistency. The seafood bucket was plenty for both of us, but we found the taste to be quite plain, primarily seasoned with Old Bay. We compared it to places like Kickin' Kasian and other Asian Creole crab houses, which is why we felt a bit underwhelmed by the flavor. On a positive note, the service was very pleasant; our server was attentive, and the atmosphere was lively. The music featured a nice mix of laid-back songs from the past, including tracks from The Beach Boys.

We were lucky it wasn't the weekend, because we got a parking spot right out front and there wasn't much of a wait for seating at dinner. I had the bairdi crab and my husband had the chicken (he is NOT a seafood fan). My food was excellent, and my husband said the chicken was very good, and much better than expected since this is a seafood restaurant. The waitress was excellent and really fun, she put my bib on when she brought me the crab-eating tools. The crab was firm and moist but not waterlogged at all. The shells snapped and the meat pulled out cleanly so it was really easy to eat, and I didn't need anything but the cracker to get to every scrap of meat. I heard people around us talking, and someone commented that their steaks were very good, so they must have chefs that know more than just seafood. So just GO!

Everything about this place is amazing. Our waitress was phenomenal, the food was heaven. We loved that the owner even came by to check on Everything. I highly suggest that you don't miss out on this memorable spot when in Pismo.

thought we would try out BBQ, I ordered sampler plate with ribs, chicken, pulled pork, cole slaw and baked beans. husband had Tri tip sandwich and potato salad. tri tip was dry and tough. All the meat on my plate was cold and over cooked, no flavor. Cole slaw was good and onion rings were good. I would not recommend this place. should have checked reviews before we went there. Employees were nice.

Yeah, this place wasn't good at all. Smelled good, however that didn't translate to the taste. I ordered a Tri-Tip sandwich thinking maybe it would be tender with slathering of sauce. Definitely not the spirit, the meat was as dry as the Mojave desert!!! I will say, I enjoyed the coleslaw. My advice is ask for extra sauce on the side, not sure if would recommend, our food was not pleasant...

The food is always spot on and their BBQ sauces are the bomb. One of the employees seemed a bit sour but maybe it was an off day so no big deal. Would recommend if you dig Southern BBQ.

Came here in 2021 with my family and remember the food being very excellent. We recently came back two months ago due to nostalgia and Craving the food again, When we had walked in and were looking through the menu we were asking how big the portions were for the sides(small btw) There was two women at the front who were obviously having a bad day because as we were asking they kept looking at each other and giving us attitude. as for the food the meat was super bland and dry the coslaw/ bbq sauce tasted like it was mixed with water and the seating was very tight as in we had to kindly ask a couple next to us if they could get up so we could squeeze through to leave. overall experience alright at first but all those inconveniences added up to a bad experience.

The BBQ here is delicious! We had the full rack combo and a basket of garlic fries. The combo had 3 flavors of ribs, corn bread muffin, potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw. The ribs were juicy and delicious, it was nice to try the different flavors, all were very good. The baked beans and cornbread muffin with honey butter were a perfect complement to the ribs, as well as the garlic fries which were crispy and tasty. The fries basket was also huge - we had to take half of home it was so much. Highly recommend this place!

Mo’s Smokehouse BBQ is hands down one of the best BBQ spots I’ve ever been to! Located right in the heart of Pismo Beach, this place knows how to deliver unforgettable flavors. The pork baby back ribs are absolutely phenomenal—perfectly tender, smoky, and fall-off-the-bone delicious. You can tell they’ve mastered the art of BBQ. The Tri-tip sandwich is equally amazing, packed with juicy, flavorful meat and served on a soft, fresh bun. It’s the kind of sandwich that leaves you craving more with every bite. Don’t skip the garlic fries—they’re the perfect crispy, garlicky sidekick to round out your meal. Everything on the menu feels like it’s made with care and a true passion for BBQ. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. If you’re in Pismo Beach and love BBQ, Mo’s is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Celebrating Our 10th Anniversary with an Unforgettable Dinner Yesterday, September 5, 2025, my husband and I decided to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary at this restaurant. First of all, I want to say that the service was exceptional. Our waiter, sorry I can’t recall his name, was incredibly kind. He was probably in his forties and mentioned that his wife was half Chilena. He truly elevated our experience to another level. We were traveling along the Pacific Way toward San Francisco and spent the night in Pismo Beach to see the dunes. We chose this restaurant and had a wonderful evening. We started with oysters, and our waiter impressed us with his knowledge about the different varieties, their origins, flavors, "colors" and his recommendations. We ate them all raw and loved them. I ordered ceviche and later another raw dish, while my husband ordered three rounds of oysters from different places, all recommended by our waiter. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails: I had a cherry cocktail, and my husband had his favorite Cocktail "special unknown" ask for it if you know?. When we mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary, the waiter brought us a small treat, complimentary. We ended up staying for more than two hours, right by the beach, enjoying the evening, the view, the people, and the amazing service. Great food, great company, and a memorable conversation. This is an excellent place, don’t miss the chance to come here, order an appetizer, enjoy a couple of cocktails or wines, and savor their raw dishes. We also tried the tuna tower, which was just as delicious as everything else.

Fantastic, we had some of the best oysters in our lives. The sablefish and scallops were cooked to perfection. No flavours were too dominating and everything was pretty subtle. Leaving us craving for a well deserved dessert. Again the best cream brûlée I’ve had. The caramel basket was delicious and more than we could bargained for! Hoping we can dine here again!

This was our first time here and it was suggested by friends we were dining with. We started off with cocktails at the bar while we were waiting for our table. The view from our table was excellent. Our server was friendly and joking with us. All the food we ordered was delicious. The grilled oysters were excellent. In fact, everything we ordered and sampled was great. We would absolutely return to dine here again.

Beautiful ocean views and a nautical decor begin your experience in this wonderful establishment. The host staff is friendly, and the waitstaff is very professional and knowledgeable. They offer a nice variety of wines, in my opinion, a bit overpriced with Mark ups varying 40 to 100 percent. The cuisine was quite nice. We started with Manhattan chowder, which was loaded with clams. Then, an assortment of appetizers and small plates which included grilled octopus and baby vegetables, braized short ribs with kimchi rice, scallop crudo, ceviche and five different types of oysters. My personal favorites were the octopus, which was tender, flavorful, and well-balanced, and the oysters. I thought the scallop crudo was good but lacking a touch of acid to needed to balance out the sweetness of the meat with the spicy and herb infused oils. Overall, a wonderful experience was had by all.

Outstanding meal, best seafood dinner I’ve had in California. Stunning octopus, mouth watering tuna, sable fish that melts in your mouth. Even tried a peach sake.

I have not had seafood this amazing in a long time. We actually stumbled into this place walking down the beach and glad we did. Mike with the pumpkin 🎃 tie helped make our dinner amazing. Everything went so well we came back a second night. The scallops 👌, the red clam chowder 💯 and drinks perfectly made. Everything went so well we thank you for all the hard work and dedication the whole team puts in because it shows. Oyster Loft is a must try.

Amazing Costumer service ✨ and the best dessert I’ve ever tasted! So rich and flavorful. My only complaint is that I’m pregnant and live 3hrs away and now I’ll be craving the desserts 😭

Best beach on the coast, in my opinion. Very nice and clean, the best sand, the best food the best shopping district. Outside of morro bay.

We saw whales from the pier! It was amazing. It is a longer pier so be prepared to walk a little. Pier has great views! Clean bathrooms at the start of pier. Beach with lifeguards.

One of the most beautiful peers that I’ve known my whole life. I can remember back in the day when it was the old pier and jumping off the end of it as a junior lifeguard I definitely welcome everyone to come visit however, please put your trash in the trash bins don’t throw items off the side of the pier there are people below you and respect all the rules and regulations so that everyone can enjoy it.

If you're in Pismo, a walk down to the end of the pier is worth it. There are plenty of beautiful views to be had!

Beware of parking at the pier! I understand if it's paid parking but the signs are so small maybe 2x2 3x3? We parked in the Pier parking lot and were there for 10 maybe 15 minutes when we got back to the camper there is a ticket on our window for $105! Maybe they could make the signs a little bigger?? But the pier is beautiful

This iconic Pismo Beach Pier is iconic for a reason. It offers something for almost everyone. One can come just to chill and meditate on a solitude with the beautiful ocean view and waves crashing that makes you feel so profoundly relaxed, almost a spiritual experience. Another can come and enjoy watching the surfers surfing. If you are into fishing, you can also do that, or if you’re like me, I like to people watch and enjoy watching everyone that walks by, including watching those people fishing! I have also just simply walked by the sand along the beach and it was just as much fun and enjoyable! The only thing that might be a bit challenging I would imagine is the parking. I never had the problem because I was staying at the nearby Vespera Hotel but seeing that there was a parking lot but with limited space, I would think there’s a little bit of a challenge in parking specially on busy days like weekends and holidays. But I think it’s still all be worth your while.

Pismo Beach Pier is one of the beautiful piers along Highway 1. They built so many new restaurants and cafes along the pier which provides a lot of options to visitors. We walked all the way to the end of the pier and back, it's very relaxing. Depending on the weather, the wind can be really strong so be careful with your hats or scarves. Sunsets here are the best but we also loved coming by after having lunch. Definetely a must-stop if you are alreayd on the 101.

I used the reviews to find this place. Visiting the area and wanted to be by the water. This had great food at a reasonable price with views of the water and the best sunset! Try the fish N Chips or fish tacos and have enough left for a drink from the bar for the sunset. Looking forward to coming back.

Wooly’s was recommended on my way down to Southern Cali and the views did not disappoint. The view from the patio is gorgeous , ocean waves and surfers doing their thing. I even saw some dolphins and whales spouts from my table. I ordered a Paloma with casa amigos tequila and it was strong in a good way :) it don’t need pineapple though, Grapefruit is just fine. The fish tacos were filling, however, coming from a true Mexican the tortillas could have been warmed up a little more so that it wouldn’t be so soft. The description of the tacos is deceiving though because I couldn’t find mango or lemon flavor in there at all. Service was excellent, I was greeted and guided by a polite young lady on what to do when I was ready to order. You order at the counter, self seat, and wait for the buzzer to buzz. I took one star off because they don’t wipe down the tables after a guest is done eating. I was grossed out that there was pieces of somebody else’s food on most tables including the one I decided to sit at. The plates are left on the table until a staff member gets to picking it up, meanwhile numerous pigeons are desperately picking at what they can, their little legs on table and everything. This practice is very unsanitary . I understand birds are everywhere but the tables should be wiped down since pigeons are known for carrying diseases. I don’t enjoy sharing a table with pigeon microbes. Hopefully they start sanitizing their tables after each guest!

A great location right next to the water. We got lucky enough to sit outdoors right before the Sunset so it was great. The food tasted fresh, and tried a little bit of everything. The fish n chips were my favorite, but a few other items we tried were the calamari strips n chips, cesaer salad and cheese curds. Food is a little overpriced but can't beat that view.

Visit to Pismo Beach wanted to grab a bite to eat. Nice atmosphere, outdoor seating, good food and drinks. Would definitely visit again. Upon arrival you order food then grab a seat while you wait for your pager to go off and pick up food from service window. Quick service. Drinks ordered from bar.

Wooly's is a nice restaurant right by the Pismo Pier with a view of the beach. Overall, it is pretty clean and spacious inside. I wish there were some sort of pasta options or a better seafood selection but overall my steamed clams and bowl of clam chowder were pretty solid. I enjoyed the clam chowders and would definitely go back to get just that. The steamed clams were alright but took forever to take out of the shells and were hard to have with the white wine sauce. The staff was outgoing and provided top tier service.

Incredible food and drinks! We had the Baja fish tacos, steamed clams, clam chowder skillet fries, clam chowder, and Bloody Marias. Wanted to cry it was so good. Wanted to drink the clam juice with a straw. And put my face directly into the skillet fries. And what a beautiful view! Also, gentleman working outside on the patio was super kind (didn’t get his name) and deserves praise! What a sweet guy.

Stopped in for a Sunday brunch. Bloody mary had great flavor with just enough spice. Everything we had was good portions and good flavor. Would love to come back for happy hour.

Amazing find! We split The Ranchero (L, salad), and the Crispy Shrimp. Delicious! The crispy shrimp were a bit on the oily side, but other than that everything was great. Service was good too!

Great place to eat! Several gluten/dairy free options. Also gluten with dairy drizzled on top options! 😉 Waitor was very friendly and very knowledgeable! Best gluten free crispy shrimp I've ever had!!

World class gluten-free fish & chips and sweet potato fries. They allegedly serve gluten-free onion rings when they're less busy. Friendly service.

We stopped by while we were in Pismo. Don't remember the waiter's name (maybe Dion?) but he was a lovely, charming fellow, very funny, attentive and great at his job. The weather was beautiful so we elected to sit outside. The food was AMAZING! I had the fish n chips. My daughter had the Vegetarian burger. Nice portions. Nothing fake or frozen about it. Seriously delicious food. Great atmosphere. Great price. We highly recommend!

Hands down, the best place to eat in Pismo Beach. We picked up takeout yesterday (an assortment of salads for our group of 6) and everything was so delicious, we came back today to enjoy them again. The lemony/herby smoked salmon salad is delightful. They smoke the salmon in house and it's some of the best we've ever tasted. Hats off to the chef for such great food (I especially loved the liberal use of fresh herbs). We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

it was a rainy day so not very busy, but cute little place. burgers were great, well put together. tritip sandwich was cooked well and seasoned perfectly. the street tacos were very good lots of beef and the chicken ones had a great overall complimenting flavor.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with friendly staff. We accidentally spilled our cup of water and they wasted no time helping us clean it up. The food was reasonably priced and came quickly. We ordered the chicken breast sandwich, chicken avocado sandwich, fish and chips, and the BBQ chicken, it was all delicious. Definitely recommend this place.

Located a 5 minute walk from Pismo Beach Pier. This famous restaurant serves great fish and chips as well delicious barbecue dishes. I highly recommend their baby back ribs, which comes with sour dough bread, beans and rice. Absolutely loved their tri-tip steak, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Spacious indoor seating and clean restrooms.

I'd give it more stars if I could. My waiter Joseph was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The clam Chowder was the best I've ever had. What's your secret?? I'm only in town till the day after tomorrow, so I may have to stop for lunch on my way out.

Visited here on a Monday night. Got seated quickly and were ready to order but took a while for our server to appear and he was not engaging at all. Good choice of items on the menu and we ordered the Baby back ribs and the Ahi Tuna. Both were good but the Tuna was a little under-cooked for my personal preference. Had Firestone 805 ales with it. The experience was OK but the service was slow and the server hardly opened his mouth so could have been better.

We arrived at peak dinner time yet were able to be seated quickly. It took a bit for a server to arrive but once our order was placed the food came out quickly and our server was very attentive. BBQ chicken and the salmon dinner were both really good. Clam chowder was one of the best I’ve had in a while. Definitely recommend stopping by if in the area. We also ordered the calamari as an appetizer, it was tender and delicious.

This was a great place for dinner. Able to sit next to the windows that overlooked the beach and bay. Jake our waiter was excellent, like his suggestions and cared for our needs.He was attentive and friendly, made our evening that much better. Even the hostess up front was pleasant and welcoming, was a pleasure to dine here, I have no hesitation in recommending that you come and see for yourselves, thank you Vista for everything and having a great staff.

Our dinner was fantastic! Kayleb was a great server and made our anniversary feel so special! We especially enjoyed having a window view of the beach and pier. Our favorite was the Calamari, Mary’s Chicken and Filet Mignon!

Outstanding meal at Vista! The entire experience was memorable from the windowside seat, appetizer, dinner, drinks, dessert, seeing dolphins swim in the ocean and lovely sunset. Marga was on point as our server making sure we were happy and served in a timely manner. Our appetizer was calamari, dinners Pork chops, Sand Dabs, and salmon. The desserts were peach cobbler, Chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream.

I’m glad we made reservations for the weekend dinner. Great restaurant with top-notch service, delicious food, and beautiful views of the ocean. I recommend trying some starters, like calamari or steak tartar. Many options for dinner, including kids dishes. And…pineapple bread pudding!

Drive by this place and they were just a few blocks from the hotel we stayed at. Fast service and delicious food. Views were beautiful. And reasonably priced. Definitely will go back if we ever pass through or stay again.

I absolutely loved this place, with the great view of the Pismo Beach to the service and food. The wait took 10 minutes, and we had a great experience from our server Caleb. The drinks and food were delicious and the appetizers were great. I highly recommend this place. All around great experience.

After a 5-hour drive, stopping here was an absolute breath of fresh air! I was truly in awe of the stunning views and how clean and well-maintained everything was—from the park grounds to the restrooms. The lawns were perfectly manicured, and the surrounding flowers added such a beautiful touch. The kids had a great time stretching their legs, playing, and enjoying breakfast at one of the shaded picnic tables. Being able to walk right up to the edge, listen to the waves, and watch the birds—and even spot a few otters—was incredibly relaxing. Such a peaceful and refreshing stop. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone passing through!

This beauty is located in the Shell Beach area, adjacent to 'Margo Dodd Park' where you can admire the caves better, (even more if you bring your binoculars). Plenty of parking. There's a kid's playground, walking trails, benches, lots of grassy areas with flowers, and stunning ocean views. Such a nice, family friendly atmosphere with a relaxing vibe. My dog had a good, happy walk here. The entire park is very clean and nicely taken cared of (but the sea smell was a bit strong for my sensitive nose). I was happy to see a lovely memorial bench area for 'Kristin Smart' as I followed her case since day one. It is a peaceful place to remember her as she loved the beach. Overall, it has always been a nice, relaxing time here and will visit every time we're in town.

This was such a cool place to visit. We have a van and we love to visit parks (city, state, and national parks)! The name intrigued us and we had to visit this cool park. We observed many birds flying over and landing on a large rock viewable from the edge of the park! We spent about six hours at the park and enjoyed all of the ammenities available to park visitors. Ammenities include clean bathrooms, a playgound, walking paths which lead to beautiful overlooking views of the horizon/ocean. If you passing through Pismo Beach, check this place out!

Beautiful park and playground for the whole family. The kids had a blast on the playground and then went on a walk with the paths along the ocean. A little scary with little ones because you are by a ocean cliff so keep them close:)

We were there during high tides king tides so we didn’t go down by the rocky caves. But stunning views. Absolutely beautiful November day! We saw whales blowing in the distance as it is migration time for them.

Definitely worth the visit. Unique scenic coves with lots of seagulls and pelicans. Great place to enjoy the beautiful view and relax for a while.

We came too late for tidepooling. Check the tides schedule. It’s a bit of a walk, south of the parking lot to the hotel, then down the stairs to a pebbly beach. Very cool cave and crashing of waves! The lower step where the stairs ends is steep- be careful! Gorgeous spot for picnic lunch! Even on Labor Day there was parking available and open picnic tables.

Business trip here and it was time to check out Giuseppe's Cucina Italiana! We arrived around 5pm on a Friday night, we didn't have reservations and upon being greeted we were immediately able to be seated. The server was friendly and attentive. The food arrived roughly 20 minutes after we ordered, I ordered Nonnas Meatball, the flavors were great, the portion was good. The homemade noodles tasted good. My fiance ordered Raviolis and they were perfect. I did order a drink, it was amazing, I was pleasantly surprised. (See videos below) The ceiling has a cool pulley system for it's fans! Cool to see, atmosphere is great! Check them out!

Best Italian in SLO! SLO has a plethora of great authentic Italian restaurants, and having frequented almost all of them, I always say Giuseppe’s is my favorite. The carbonara and flatliner combination is to die for. The wait is always super long since they don’t take reservations, but the wait is well worth it.

Delicious! Wait staff on 🔥 fire! Evan and Luka were fabulous. Highly recommend the squash blossoms. Heavenly. Also had the pasta tagliatelle bolognese and a garlic/ clam pizza Both amazing Hubby loved the Spumoni dessert! The garlic sauce with the bread is sooo garlic utterly fabulous…. We miss Gino the accordion player. But Joe your staff is top notch

The food was excellent! Would've given 5 stars but when we first arrived we were seated and then the hosted said she had seated too many tables and made us get up from the table to wait. We waited for about another 15 minutes before we were than seated at the same table. If we needed to wait a few to order we would have understood but to be seated then ask to get up felt very strange and there was not even an apology. When we were finally able to order our server was professional and polite. The food and wine were excellent! Being seated at a table in the bar was extremely loud so we weren't able to hear one another which was surprising in a Thursday.

My Grandson & I hadn't been there in years We drove up just to eat dinner, and the place was packed. Waiting for a table is always well worth it...the entire staff is amazing & spot on even with a packed restaurant. I had the brown butter raviolis, which were delicious. N8 had pizza and loved his dinner. We will return again soon. Our waitress is just the best!!

This place does not take reservations, but the 1 hour wait on a Monday night was worth it! Old school Italian restaurant with great food and seasonal specialties. Wait staff was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive while not overbearing-just right. They have a great wine list and signature cocktails. Highlights for us included the Bolognese and the fall harvest salad. Prices are on the high end, but still reasonable. The main dining room can get loud. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

We went on a busy Monday evening for our 8th year anniversary and it was good. We made a reservation in person. It was an hour 15min wait but we were at the beach while we were waiting so everything ended up great.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. We visited from the east coast and stayed at the hotel on the property. The views were breathtaking the food was delicious. The presentation staff ambiance was 5 star. Will definitely be returning when visiting Cali. The ceviche was my favorite great app for the table. Also great place to celebrate a birthday. My son loved it they made his birthday special added candles to his slice of cake great dessert options.

Food was amazing! We had the steak, molcajete, a chicken steak dish, pozole. The steak had a delicious glaze on it and a nice smoky flavor and the pozole was seasoned perfectly. Would have had a nice view of the bay except the fog came in. Our server Alberta was so attentive and caring. Our kiddo loved his quesadilla and some of my steak plus the yummy desserts. Definitely coming back.

We had reserved a table on a Friday night and were seated right away with a great view. The wait staff were attentive and the margaritas were very good. The food was fine, but my wife felt her fish was a bit bland and my chili relleno’s cheese inside wasn’t melted. The cornmeal crusted calamari were quite good as were the sauces, although my wife found corn meal vs traditional batter a bit weird. If I came back I’d definitely order something else.

Today's night out was spectacular. The atmosphere, the restaurant, the food, EVERYTHING was 💯. A cheery on top for me was my dish; Choppino which was top tier. I will be back soon enough.

This is one of the most highly recommended restaurants I’ve been to in the U.S. — reasonable prices, excellent service, and delicious food with generous portions. Their complimentary appetizer is freshly baked warm corn tortillas served with four different kinds of sauces — a delightful surprise compared to the typical tortilla chips you get at most Mexican restaurants. The clam chowder is an absolute must-try. It’s the best I’ve ever had — rich in both seafood flavor and creaminess. Every spoonful is packed with a variety of seafood, not just clams but also squid and others. The only slight downside was that the soup wasn’t hot enough when served, but other than that, it was nearly flawless. (4.8/5) The fish and chips, on the other hand, are skippable. The fried fish was quite standard and not particularly special. (3/5) Their pasta was amazing. The sauce and penne were already excellent on their own, but the seafood on top was definitely not an afterthought. Both the shrimp and fish were plentiful and perfectly cooked — tender and flavorful without being overdone. (5/5) Another great touch was the water they served. Instead of the usual lemon slices, they use cucumber slices, which made it taste refreshingly clean. Unlike some restaurants where the water can be slimy or have a weird taste, theirs was genuinely enjoyable. The view over there is also astonishing!

Great Mexican fusion cuisine and solid service. Filet Minion special was outstanding and good kids choices. For the fans of Old Fashion - you have to try theirs.

Beautiful preserve with terrific trail options from easy to more difficult. The trails were well groomed and clearly marked with many wildflowers and a couple of snakes. The views of the ocean and coastline are spectacular The parking lot was full when we got there but street parking was available nearby.

One of my favorite hikes is in the Pismo Preserve. So many different hikes to choose from. All offer breathtaking views of not only into Pismo Beach but also at vantage points capturing Pismo and Shell Beach. Lone Oak and Spring to Spring are my favorite trails. Parking can be hard during the day after 9am and on weekends.

What a lovely hike!! There are various trails based on distance and challenge. Decided to do the Spring to Spring Trail. Its about 3.14 miles. It wasn't too strenuous. Easy enough to take our little senior dog of 12+ years with us. Try to get there early. After 9am, parking can be a challenge.

Arrived around 3pm, as parking opened up from the early afternoon folks leaving. My dog and I took the low road, which maintains a beautiful view of the ocean as is winds up the mountain. Fairly easy trail with a mellow incline. Took my dog and I about an hour in and out, including a few scenic and social stops. Would return for this trail or to try one of the others at this location.

I have never given a hike, such a low score before, until this one, deservedly so! If you like hiking alongside freeway 101 for a minimum of 15-20minutes each way to get away from the noisy freeway ASAP, as share with cyclists very narrow trails with enough room for a single person, this is the hike for you. Unsafe, as some cyclists are racing down the hills. This hike is mostly exposed to the sun and winds, and plants are mostly low shrubs.

Always a pleasure to hike here! Trails are well marked and easy to follow. Parking is easy and restrooms are available. The views of Pismo Beach and the coast from up on the hillside are breathtaking! Make sure to wear sunscreen as the trails are very exposed, and don’t engage with the rattlesnakes if you find them. Pet friendly. :)

Restrooms are very clean and the park is right off the side of the beach great place to take your kids to wind down and have fun!! 😁😊

Nice park in Pismo. Good play area for kids, clean restrooms, and a small green space. A sort of treacherous path down to the beach, but good for looking at tide pools during low tide, and surfers were using the path to get to the water too. (Photos are of beach below the park)

Priceless park where you will find parking when you will never find it at Pismo Beach. There is a nice bathroom and the playground is perfect! We enjoyed flying a kite and some time on a beautiful beach where we had it mostly to ourselves.

We just needed a place to eat the amazing cinnamon rolls we had just gotten and found this beautiful park. Great for kids, doggos, and even adults. Ocean view is wonderful and you can take the stairs to the beach.

This park is fantastic! The playground is really cool with lots of fun climbing structure. There are picnic tables with grills, a stunning view out over the ocean, and a path down to a beach (we were unable to take the path due to king tides). Plenty of parking, and two individual bathrooms. What a wonderful spot!

I’ve always been a fan of Guiseppes Express. The new version expanded on the success of the old original shop and raised it to a new elevated level. Full bar, larger menu, more grocery options, more seating. It really does feel like a proper Italian deli grocery store. Our local go to for quick Italian.

Great food and pasta! I stopped in here while on vacation. The pizza was good, and you could order by the slice. There are plenty of deli items, and they will cook deli items for you! I did not much care for the windy outdoor seating.

"Ummm, we're a little busy". That was the reply received when asking if someone could bus our table. What a filthy dump. If the front of the house is a mess, I can only imagine what the back is like. Tried to dine in, but didn't want to eat around other people's trash so we left. Wish I could have cancelled the order. Pizza was undercooked and the sauce was bland.

Great take-out option. There s a small indoor seating area and several tables outside for dining in. I had the best salad. I will be having it a few more times while I'm in the area. The roasted beets were absolutely perfect! The arugula was a perfect pairing with the goat cheese and pecans. The strawberries and the strawberry dressing added a delicious dimension. The balsamic reduction was amazing I didn't try the olive oil that was also with the salad

Before the big move, our family really enjoyed Giuseppe’s Express. It’s was our favorite stop after a day at the beach, a hike, lunch or just a nice treat. We loved the small Italian feel, the pictures on the wall, it was so familiar and safe, and the service was on point. Now, in the new restaurant, right off the bat, the service is nowhere near what they offered at the old place. I understand there’s new people, logistics, all that, but we’ve been there twice and the service is getting worse, not better. The second time, we went for our anniversary, after a hike on the preserve, I was craving the pizza and carrot cake. We ordered 5 squares of pizza, (we had the kids with us) a slice of carrot cake, and a slice of Milky Way Cheesecake. We grabbed a spot outside, and for items that are already cooked, we waited longer than we should have. The young lady came out with a pizza box and just stood there, didn’t call out the name we gave at the register. We wouldn’t have even thought it was ours, since we ordered our food for there, not to go. She finally asked us if it was ours, after she had to open the box and show us the pizza. She didn’t have our dessert, we figured she went back to get the slices. She never did. I had to go back in, and stand and wait for someone to ask if they needed help. The young lady finally approached me, I let her know we never got our dessert, and told her what we ordered. She quickly got them, but when I got to the table and opened the bag, I noticed she gave us chocolate cake and not the Milky Way cheesecake. So, I had to go back in and request the correct slice. It was like yanking teeth to get a simple order. My husband and I both work in the service industry, so I understand when it’s busy, mistakes can happen, but to me it just seems like lazy mistakes. I really love the food, and the point of this place is “Express”. I hope you don’t lose the element of quick service that people came to love about this place, and the excellent service you had before. I hope this review is read and you can take it to your team as a learning opportunity, and I can turn this 3 star into a 5 star. Please.

Second time in a row I stop at this location can’t find a vegetally sandwich first time was there at 1 pm second time 11am when they just opened they were not willing to make any Ordered a Margerita pizza instead was missing cheese and basil

The staff is very helpful and warm. You can bring your dog and enjoy your meal in the patio. The sushi was delicious and my family had ramen. I am on a diet restriction so I had the chicken with the sauce on the side. Everything was great and would definitely go back.

As Locals normally do around here we try to avoid the more touristy side of the beach. Plus we love sushi and eat a lot so we stick to the more inexpensive joints or all you can eat sushi restaurants. But we were given a gift card for here for Christmas this year so we decided to give it a shot. And we both agree that this place is five star worthy! right off the bat the service was fantastic, even the ginger and wasabi was incredible and fresh. We decided to do the chefs choice Cheers so we could try a variety as well as a few more rolls added on. Everything came out quickly and well timed, we didn’t have to wait long between courses. The plating was absolutely breathtaking and the portions were surprisingly big. We definitely expected less with such a high price tag. The fish melted in our mouths and the flavours bursted on our tongues. Everything was fresh and delicious. The vegetable tempura was an incredible surprise! I would definitely come back just for that alone. This truly was a delightful treat! And we will definitely be coming back for an anniversary or birthday because it is a little out of our budget for our belly’s. But I do recommend trying this at least once! And don’t forget to tip your wonderful servers who always made sure our water glasses were filled, even as we were waiting for the bill.

Dropped in for our anniversary on the off chance of a table, and no problem - we were seated in ten minutes and had a wonderful meal. The sushi chef is clearly very good and knows his fish, every piece of the omakasi selection was spectacular. The rolls are great, excellent sake selection. We shall be back. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff too.

Had a anniversary dinner with my wife wanted to try a new sushi place so we came to kanpai. from when we first came in staff greeted us friendly with a smile. Our waitress was outstanding she was professional and friendly answer every question we had about the menu with a smile .food was awesome good taste we tried raw tuna for the first time gota say the way it was presented on the roll was nice. Over all it was a good experience definitely going back in the future.

Excellent overall. We come from the Bay Area and LA and prefer sushi and sashimi here as the quality is as good as ones in those locations at the same time as enjoying being in the central coast. The prices are somewhat similar to other locations!

The two stars is for the insane wait for ordering online. I waited over two hours for my food to be ready. We ordered at 5:35pm and wasn’t ready till 7:41pm. Meanwhile the turn around for walk-ins was 20 min wait. If you can’t handle online orders then don’t offer it!

Came for Mothers Day after passing by for over a year. We made 4pm reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. There were free mini margaritas while waiting. The steak we ordered we shared and thank goodness because it was huge! You are brought onion rings after being seated and they were delicious! Our waitress was prompt, fast and very nice. I did have my piece of steak cooked a little bit more and there were no questions asked. Food was delicious! Sat by the window to enjoy the ocean view. Do know to ring Cash or there is a surcharge for using a card. Great experience.

I hate writing this about a beloved and family-favorite restaurant, but.... A $59 ribeye that only includes two slices of very-garlicky toast and a scoop of ice cream later, side items needing to be ordered separately (e.g., loaded baked potato for $14), a steak ordered med-well arriving at most med-rare (while heavy on the garlic salt, quite flavorful still), along with a $39 8 oz. sirloin and a beer coming to $146 w/tax (but not tip) dinner for two unfortunately equals little desire to return. Onion rings greeting us as a table appetizer upon arrival was a nicely-intended touch (though we'd prefer simple bread/butter). Table service was mostly timely, as was our order's delivery, but no water refills til the end was a miss. Unfortunately for us, whether it's a CA-forced reality or just a business decision, the overall experience coupled with the separately-charged items and high total price takes McKlintock's wonderfully oak-cooked steaks out of our future dining plans. Really sorry.

Steak was excellent! Exceeded my expectations this last time. The servers entertained us with different stunts while blindfolded and still made sure that we had everything we needed. Very crowded, make sure to make reservations or arrive early.

This restaurant is so Fantastic! I've been many times with my family in the past 30 years and I've been by myself. Even when I went by myself for dinner - they gave me a wonderful seat right next to the windows with the most gorgeous view. I was very impressed! The food is always amazing - the bacon wrapped filet mignon is by far my favorite. The atmosphere is fun and festive and the service is perfect! The entire restaurant is handicap accessible as well - so it's perfect for all generations.

Cannot thank Jay and his staff enough. Him, manager Ashley, and the rest of them helped make our wedding day special. Helped us feed 30 family members who came to the coast to help celebrate our day. The banquet room was the perfect setup and the kids had room to go out back and play. The food was great as always but the staff and the kindness was the best of the best. Cannot thank them enough.

It's a big place, so there is seating everywhere. The scenery inside makes you feel like we are in a huge cabin out in the woods somewhere. The staff there are incredible with their blindfold water tricks they do. They are also very knowledgeable of the menu. They have bottomless onion rings. You get a lot of food. You will be taking food home. I was not too thrilled with their Mac and cheese. It lacked flavor and cheese. To be honest, they need a better Mac and cheese recipe. My steak was a little over cooked but still really good. Overall a great experience, would love to come back.

This review is specifically for Thanksgiving lunch. This was some of the best Thanksgiving food I ever ate. People ordered different things but generally turkey, ham, and salmon. Everyone said it was delicious. There was so much food we took 5 boxes home for dinner later. Update 11/23. We have decided to make dinner here our Thanksgiving tradition. Once again the food was absolutely outstanding. Service was a bit slow but honestly it was expected given the large amount of people there.

Tried Zorro’s for the first time and the food was good, but just shy of 5 stars. Service and atmosphere were great and the place is bigger than it looks from the outside, but the food was just a little shy on flavor. The portions were decent and looked good, but maybe too many Karen’s have complained about spice and flavor, makes kitchens gun shy about being bold, so they dumb it down for the rest of us. I don’t know, just a theory. Lol I’d still recommend, but kitchen needs to up their game a little.

I love coming to Zorro’s with my family every time we visit the Central Coast! They know us and greet us warmly every time we get there. My wife loves the Cuyama Pork Chili Verde Omelette for breakfast and I always get the Spinach Enchiladas Vegitarianias, but I hold the dairy, swap out the flour tortillas for corn tortillas, and do double black beans instead of beans and rice since I don’t eat meat or dairy. This place is a crowd pleaser and has something for everyone! I would highly recommend it to anyone if they are in the area, especially for breakfast or lunch.

Let me start by saying that service was great. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Don't be fooled by the great reviews if you're latino. This is not authentic Mexican food. I ordered Camarones a la Diabla and got a plate with a soupy red sauce. Didn't taste anything like Diabla sauce which should have a thicker sauce similar to mole.

The food was fantastic. You have to try the shrimp and crab meat enchiladas. They are fabulous!

I dont like giving places negative reviews, because I know how difficult it is to run a restaurant, but I like giving honest reviews. First the positive, service is great. Waiter was really attentive came back and checked on us multiple times. We were a big group and still got everything correct. The location is nice and it is clean. The negative: This is not authentic Mexican food at all, if that is what you are expecting you will be disappointed. Burger sizes are big but they dont have any dressing at all. My brother ordered shrimp cocktail and said the cocktail was very bland. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich and said she wished it had some type of dressing, it was to dry. I think overall is okay but with a few tweaks it can be a lot better.

Thank you for being amazing!!! This is definitely top 3 Mexican restaurants I've ever eaten at. The green sauce from the chili Verde is to die for. Such amazing flavors that will ever grace your pallet came from this kitchen. The staff was super friendly eventhough they were hopping busy. Definitely recommend this as a place to eat. 12/10 would recommend and I will be returning.
