You don't want to miss this gem! I visited as part of a tour group and our female tour guide was amazing (and stunningly gorgeous)! Please forgive me - I don't recall her name and I'm so bummed about it. She was incredibly passionate about Harriet Tubman and knew a bazillion facts. Her storytelling ability was extremely captivating and she sang songs that felt like stepping back in time. This lovely volunteer has deeply immersed herself into the experience and has walked the entire Underground Railroad from here to Canada and down through Texas to Mexico. This just blew me away! The museum is lovely and there's plenty to see. There's a small gift shop area and a large one-person bathroom that's handicapped accessible. The museum is right downtown Cambridge and there are multiple free public parking locations in walking distance. There's a gorgeous mural on the side wall of Harriet Tubman that you don't want to miss. If you're looking for history- this museum and it's volunteers are the real deal. I highly recommend visiting!

It’s a small quaint museum with tons of information. Sit and watch some videos. Ask questions. The murals in the back room are of the Bucktown store where Harriet was injured in the head, which affected the rest of her life. There are entertaining lectures with songs by the director and her husband. She also provides walking tours with loads of history and song. They also host a monthly jazz concert.

Wonderful experience, it felt like I was sitting at the foot of my elder as he shared the life and legacy of our beloved ancestor. Harriet T.

[NOTE: Some reviews of this place are for the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park, which is much better] You'll find the basic info about Harriet Tubman and the UGRR, some art, and random artifacts. There is a video you can watch and a pretty cool back room where (I assume) events and such occur. It felt like more could be done with this space.

Check the calendar before you go! We traveled over 2 1/2 hours to visit the site and didn’t realize that the Governor of Maryland was visiting that day as well. It was a madhouse in the museum and it was very difficult to navigate with my walker. The one thing we were not able to do because of the crowds was see the orientation video which I really would liked to have seen. The museum itself is well organized. I was hoping to learn more, it only took an hour to read everything and we take our time to read whatever is interpreted in museums. The gift shop was small and had limited merchandise. I bought a book because I heard someone talking about it and it sounded interesting. For those, like myself with mobility issues, they had benches spaced out throughout the museum. My husband was able to drop me off at the door as well. The handicap parking was not in view of the door so it was not very close. The bathroom was easy to navigate with my walker.

Great museum with dedicated volunteers. The collection of books and art on the life and times of Tubman are excellent! The murals inside and out are amazing. Get a lecture or a musical tour of the Underground Railroad.

This was my first visit to the Gallery and won't be my last! The lady working was very personable, friendly, and easy to talk to. She shared info about upcoming events. I had a question about the necklace I purchased and she called the artist/metalsmith(Cindy Ayd) to obtain the answers.

Great gallery downtown in Cambridge. Great local talent. I believe in supporting our local artists. 🤘

A must see if you're visiting the area. Well maintained. Free admission. Helpful information about the steamboat era. Very knowledgeable and friendly docents. Elevator available for the disabled, but make sure to call ahead and make arrangements.

The scenery is very picturesque. It's located in Cambridge, MD. The ducks mostly run away when you draw near, but a few are brave enough to stick around for a treat. The lighthouse closes at 5pm (I believe).

Really cute waterfront park and marina, a little scary at the edge. Very calming place to be. Bring a jacket though it's usually windy

It was very beautiful, it was very fun to read about the lighthouses history and climb the ladder up to the top. It was a great experience. The dock around it also added to the cool atmosphere. It was well maintained and clean!!

This is a nice lighthouse replica. And a nice place for somebody that has not toured an active or staged lighthouse. The only things that a tourist can get a real feeling for are the steps that go upstairs in the lighthouse and standing out on the balcony. It is nice having a docent present but actual things that would be found in a lighthouse would be more memorable.

The place is so peaceful on a cloudy day. There are so many jellyfish in the water. I can't climb up the lighthouse but I was able to take pictures.

The Choptank River Lighthouse is a beautiful little spot with stunning waterfront views. It’s quiet, relaxing, and a great place to stop if you’re exploring the area. The boardwalk is peaceful, and the lighthouse itself is charming—perfect for photos, sunset watching, or just taking a breath by the water.

Great common area with picnic benches and a walking path along the marina. It is easy walking with new paths so it is wheelchair friendly and for older folks more sure footing. Try parking at the far end, in front of the Yacht Club, for the greatest mobility access. Dog walkers are common as are friendly sailors, some of who come from long distances. Waterman also tie up their workboats. There is a light house if you are sure-footed enough to make it over the dock boards but still very visible from a vehicle at the round about. Enjoy.

Very nice Marina with beautiful views of the Chop tank River. Visit and take a tour of the Choptank River Lighthouse. Nice place for walks and to sit by the water and enjoy the views.

Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester is usually docked here. People can fish without permit here. Very nice views of Choptank river and marina. Park has picnic tables and nice shady trees plenty of room for dogs or Frisbee fun.

Pre dawn comet watch at Long Wharf Marina was gorgeous. Unfortunately comet was hiding in the cloud bank under Venus, so was not visible. Peaceful nonetheless.

Such wonderful memories of Long Wharf! The festivals once held here, the ships making port when it was an actual port, and watching the skates and rays in the water... My father was rector of Christ Church on High Street and he would walk us to the wharf to go crabbing. Times change, areas change, but Long Wharf endures and still retains some vestiges of its former finery. We used to sit with our feet dangling and watch the MV Bruarfoss IV make port. Her Norwegian captain and officers would often pay call on us because of our heritage and ability to speak Norwegian. Such wonderful memories!

Nice place to stop if have a few minutes to kill. The lighthouse is really nice. Lots of historical stuff. Can see the water where underground railroad helped free slaves. Marina also. Free parking by the water.

NOT in the brick building pictured here. New museum just opened in Oct. 2025 (hours TBD). The center includes the Ruark Boatworks. The Ruark Boatworks is active with volunteers building and repairing boats. They see historic boats come and go in this historic location. They also have an educational program with school children. It's an amazing project!

Museum is very interesting. Great exhibits. No admission fees but you can offer a donation. Like the vintage brick building whigh is undoubtably way over 100 years old.

Worth stopping in for sure. Tons of history about the area.

We’ve visited a lot of playgrounds locally, and this one is by far our kids’ favorite! The equipment is great, but what really sets it apart is the view—overlooking the Choptank River. It’s absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The Visitor Center was clean, and the bathrooms were well-kept when we used them, which is always a big plus when you’re out with little ones. Highly recommend for a fun family outing!

This playground is such a hidden gem right on the water in the Chesapeake Bay area. It’s perfect for kids – there’s plenty of space to run around and climb, and the equipment is well-kept and fun. But honestly, it’s not just for the kids. There’s a walking path that hugs the water, and benches where you can just sit back, relax, and take in the view. Watching the sailboats drift by is incredibly peaceful. It’s one of those spots where you can easily spend a couple of hours, whether you're chasing after little ones or just enjoying the breeze off the bay. Highly recommend it for a laid-back afternoon.

This park was good for the very young and older kids. There is a nice walking area, but parts go a little too close to the water for comfort. They have swings that are made so adults can place a toddler I. It and swing facing them, but one of them had the plastic peeling and was a little sharp where the metal was poking out. The ground is rubberized, so it is harder for the kids to hurt themselves from falling and if has a young kids playground and an older kids one. There is also a visitor center and a couple picnic table areas.

Awesome little park right next to the water. Stopped here on the way home from Ocean City to get some energy out with the kids. Perfect midpoint stop and great views.

The sign to their entrance is missing multiple letters, for a long time. It looks trashy. Optics matters! Please invest in replacing those missing letters on your signage!

Super fun... So much local history...! I went with my son's school group and we had a blast.. The hospitality was excellent..

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Attended a lecture by Dr. Small who is a historian. Many events there and shares local events with visitors.

This a wonderful little museum of life along the water, full of the many items used by hunterszand watermen. It also has an extensive research library full of maps, records and other books about the Eastern Shore. Worth a visit if you are interested in local history.

So I found this facility to be dense and rich in history and Heritage of the local area which is wonderful! I suppose they have a limited budget to work with because things to not seem to be kept up too well aesthetically. Partially this could be attributed to covid. The people who worked there were extremely friendly and appropriately helpful without overdoing it. I'm glad we came.

Wonderful presentation in great detail work on The Disappearance of my great-aunt Florence Wingate. People go out of their way to be warm and friendly and love to talk about the history of our area almost like going back home and sitting down in front of a warm stove in the winter time and carrying on wonderful conversations. The staff here everyone works very very hard to maintain and carry on the history of our area.

There are several local native american artifact displays throughout the year where you can see not only the museum's collection but local collectors display their own stuff as well. Quite an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon.

Best Maryland Crab Soup in Dorcester County..hands down. Come Wednesday nights at 8pm for Open Mic and hear some great musicians, hosted by Bobby.

Food served with the speed of a glacier & the ambiance of a morgue; drink a glass of tears for the saddest place in Cambridge. This place was staffed like a gulag. Ironman weekend and the place was empty with no staff and service in prep for the big weekend. A big nothing-burger of disappointment.

It was absolutely enjoyable! Great food, crabcakes and oysters were perfect. Mashed potatoes with Eastern shore gravy are divine. Brussels sprouts were decadent. Hush puppies were the best I have ever tasted. Crab dip was yummy. Great service, ambience was a "10". I love this place.

So we liked it ok but it was really hot outside and it wasn't very cool inside. Our first time in here and it wasn't a great first impression. The whole experience was uncomfortable. What could have been a really nice experience wasn't. The wait staff was good, a bit quirky, but good. Food was also good. Both our meals were good enough to either finish or take home! We may try it again but not when it's hot!

We had lunch here today. Nice decor, fair prices. The food was great once it finally arrived. The service was not very good, but I will give the benefit of the doubt in case they were short staffed. No drink refills, no checking in to see, "How is the food? Can I get you anything else?", like I would expect to see. It is a good size place and it looks like it could be a happening place. We could have caught it on a bad day.

Date night with the better half. When we were there, the place was relatively empty (it was early lunch). Our server kept the drinks full and was very friendly. I had the Sheppard pie, and it did not disappoint me. Decent beer selection and a friendly atmosphere (and clean too!), what more could you want?

Highly disappointing experience. I made a reservation and they were set up nicely for us but that's where the positives stop. The place was almost empty at 1 PM on a Saturday afternoon. That should have been our first clue. Service was slow. The waitress was new and didn't know the food or drink menu. She was also tending bar. The place was way too dark for the time of day. The food was almost tasteless. The crab dip had very little crab in it. It was the same for the cream of crab soup. The MD crab soup was barely more than a bowl of spiced broth with hardly any crab or vegetables. The crab cakes had a lot of filler. I thought about it for a few days before posting this review because I really wanted to like this place. It came well recommended but all eight people in our group (all native Marylanders) said it fell far short of what a good restaurant should be.

Walked in off the street around noon on a Wednesday and sat at the bar. Really wanted to sample the local oysters but the kitchen was out so I settled on the fish bites and the turkey wrap. Bites were good and my wrap had deli carved turkey instead of cold cuts, which was appreciated. I liked the variety of sides offered between fries, salad, baked beans. It was filling and delicious. Restaurant is very spacious, good for groups and offers a seafood buffet but only on Friday evenings, I believe

This was our second time here. We were staying at the Hyatt Regency for our Anniversary and no point in being on the Eastern Shore without having seafood. We opted for the soft shell crab and the Pasta alla vodka and added a crab cake. Drinks and soup arrived promptly. Dinner service was a little slow but our server offered water and drinks while we waited.

The food was good but the lunch menu was limited. The crab cake sandwich was amazing! The crab bread bowl was really good but most of the bread was tough and chewy. The booths on the bar side are set high up and the backing of the booth seats were uncomfortable to sit in. Overall it was good. We’ve eaten here numerous times and have always enjoyed the fine food and dining.

Kickstands Up Motorcycle Riders gave J&S **** 1/2 Awesome Crab soup & crackers, pulled pork and barBQ. The soft shelled crab sandwich ***** EVERYTHING was great even the service. Our waitress deserves praise. She was fantastic! Ensured our group had everything we needed. We will be back.

Nice atmosphere with some couches out front, bar for about 20 and a pretty good sized dining area. 12 beers on tap and three local Dog Fish drafts.

We came while driving through Cambridge. We ordered the mini crab cakes, seafood nachos and crab soup. Everything was delcious and prices were reasonable.

Great service and food. Love the local wine!!! Bought a bottle...

Quick stop for lunch. Crab balls were good but expensive. Potato soup was delicious, but could have been a little bit hotter. The two different slices of cake were exceptional. Lemon and tuxedo chocolate. We'll be back when we travel that way again.

I was a little worried when we walked in because the atmosphere was not what I was expecting. It seemed like a basic diner which wasn't exactly what we were looking for. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the food which was very well cooked and seasoned. We got the crab pretzel as an appetizer and I had the River View BLT and enjoyed both. My husband, who can be picky when it comes to burgers, really enjoyed his as well and commented on the quality of the meat.

This was our first experience with soft shell crabs, and it didn't disappoint. The server was great and filled us in on how to est them and what to put on them. We loved every bite!

Lunch was wonderful! Fresh seafood and service with a smile. As soon as you get off the Cambridge bridge, make a fairly quick right. Don't pass it by! Small signage.

Worse customer service experience I ever had on the eastern shore! Not friendly at all! Hate to pull this card but the racism, sarcastic nasty smart response and attitudes took everything in me to remain professional! It’s time people realize we live in a new decade where people of COLOR as well as young adults are very successful, have businesses and money as well! So to be a waitress that can’t even give respect or good customer service on a to go order is absurd ….. I would never give this establishment any of my money! I pray who ever the blonde hair shoulder length curled hair is find peace and learn to fix her attitude when working with the community and public. I wanted to try the crab imperial but did not want the sides since they use pork in their vegetables …. Portside where I usually go was close so why not try something new! After talking through the order on the phone I was perfectly fine paying for just the imperial…… but why when I picked it up it literally look like a scoop of crab meat in a small container for $20 …. When trying to simply communicate I was being cut off, rude towards and was told just to go back to portside I simply was trying to express the fact I was excited to try a new restaurant & try to apologize for the miscommunication of what I thought I was getting but honey that staff didn’t want to hear it… $30 can get you wayyyyy more food worth your money else where cause the picture is what they made me pay $20 for!! Hire nicer, more helpful, staff!!! Practice more patience!! And treating others how you would want to be treated! But then again this is Cambridge Md.

Food took over an hour to come, didn't taste good, and the staff were shockingly rude. Our waitress wasn't that bad and was at least attentive with the drinks. When I arrived I was told that I'd need to wait for my full party to arrive before being seated, but when a police officer arrived he was seated immediately, despite his remaining party members showing up much later. The staff also wouldn't allow us to sit in a seat we specifically reserved ahead of time over the phone (and it was marked as such, with 4 places set up) since our party was 4 people rather than 5 (apparently it's a 5 person seat only). The seat wasn't even that big, it's a booth that can seat 5 at most, I attached a picture, I can't understand why us 4 couldn't sit there EVEN AFTER reserving the exact seat ahead of time and being told we could sit there. The seat was never used for the 2+ hours we were there talking over drinks while we waited for our bland food. Ruined my night out with my family, I would have had better food and service at the Denny's down the road. Honestly, for the money we paid, it was disgraceful. We should have walked out when we were told we couldn't sit at our reserved seat. I think it goes without saying that we won't be back. If you're looking for a nice bite try portside just down the road. It has a better view and better food.

We had the fried green tomatoes and the crab dip. both were great. The service was good. The place was decorated really nice. We would eat there again.

Part of the Hyatt Regency resort and the prices seem to match the upscale environment. The food is mediocre. The kicker to me was the local oysters at $3.50 each, we get the same ones here for $2.00. West coast oysters are priced at $3.00. We didn’t go back during our stay at the resort. We went into Cambridge to find better food at reasonable prices.

I am rating this a 2 because of the atmosphere only on the deck. Otherwise it is a 1 star inside and based on the horrible food that they serve. It looks fairly decent but the crabs cakes were like an appetizer, zucchini had so much soy sauce we couldn’t finish it and not many shrimp for $28. Way overpriced for horrible food. Hyatt needs to do better to keep people coming to visit here.

Blue Point Provision is a beautiful half mile walk from the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. The views from this establishment are amazing, the service was fantastic, and the food was excellent. This is definitely one of the nicer restaurants in the area.

Not in the habit of leaving a bad review. Bottle of wine ordered and two glasses were poured from the bottle upon opening, IYKYK. Two specials ordered along with kids menu item and over an hour wait. Kids desert they were out of the ice cream and sorbet. Food was good, service less than stellar. Kitchen shares the blame unless server forgot to put the order in.

Rockfish special was great, corn bread muffins were delicious, berry bourbon smash was terrible cocktail, service was very friendly

The food here really isn’t that good, especially for the price. The atmosphere was nice, but they need a better menu and chef. I’d rather go somewhere off property next time for a nice dinner.

Not sure why this place had so many negative reviews. We got quick service and food was good, some portions are small but that’s not at out the norm. We had a great experience. We very accomdating wirh my two little ones. I would say the best food on the Hyatt resort.
