Hampton Beach State Park, located at the mouth of the Hampton River in New Hampshire, offers a classic New England seaside experience. The 50-acre park features white-sand beaches with tidal pools for kids and a vibrant boardwalk lined with restaurants, shops, and amusements. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, sunbathing on the well-maintained shoreline, or taking leisurely strolls along the water's edge.
Very clean beach! Multiple restrooms spaced out on boulevard. Places to sit under shelter and enjoy the view. Bands play on different nights on outside stage. Many restaurants for all types of food and many beach shops. Arcade of course. Everyone was well behaved the three different days i went. Boulevard traffic jams all afternoon. Might need to park further away. No matter where you park it will cost you $20-30.

If you’re going to Hampton Beach for the first time, be sure to research parking ahead of time. It gets pretty crowded, at least in the summer. The beaches are clean. On certain days they have free concerts right off the beach along the walkway at the main building. Restaurants and shops line the road and there are plenty of options. Riptides are prevalent so swim with caution.
Eric H — Google review
This is a well maintained beach with clean restrooms. There is a camping area near the road for campers if you have a fully contained RV or trailer, no tents allowed. The beach area and entry to water is fairly flat making it easy to walk and enter shallow water. There is a rocky jetty for fishing. The hardest part is walking through loose sand to get to beach; I wish they had a mat or boardwalk to make it easier for hauling wagons, coolers, chairs and such. Overall great experience.
S S — Google review
Love visiting here. Parking can be tough. Much busier on the weekends. Many evenings in the summer they have events going on regularly, fireworks, live music, sandcastle building, etc. Fairly family friendly, but some parts of town can have people i wouldn't want around my children, but you can just avoid them pretty easily. Sand and water are great.
David N — Google review
Hard to get same site for 3 nights. We had to move our trailer and saw many other people do the same. Nice location. On the ocean. Can't wait to go back, if we lucky to get a spot. Full hookup, water/ electric.

Traveled up to Hampton Beach, NH for our 4th year attending the Seafood Festival. This 3 day event is an absolute must. Such a great venue, food, entertainment and can access it all conveniently on foot. I recommend securing a local motel on the strip so one can walk and take a desired break in between. Local and visiting Vendors provide so many options as well as the music entertainment over the 3 day event. Location and beach is beautiful with life guards present. Local bars also provide great food, entertainment & atmosphere after hours. Looking forward to returning next year! 5*****

One of the best beach parks we’ve ever visited! Hampton Beach State Park exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, everything was well-maintained, organized, and welcoming. We had reserved parking online (which I highly recommend during peak season), and the process was smooth — staff checked our name and plate, and we were parked in no time. The parking lot is close to the beach, so we didn’t have to walk far with our gear. The beach itself is beautiful — wide, clean, and covered with soft sand. It’s perfect for walking, playing, or just relaxing by the waves. The water was chilly but refreshing, and the lifeguards on duty gave us peace of mind while the kids played near the shoreline. We found plenty of space even on a busy Saturday, and the whole atmosphere felt safe and family-friendly. Facilities were excellent. Clean restrooms, changing areas, and a small playground added extra convenience for families. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was also nice to see how well the park enforces rules like no littering and no idling, which helps keep the air fresh and the area pleasant for everyone. We stayed well into the evening and watched the sunset — absolutely breathtaking. Afterward, we walked along the lively boardwalk just outside the state park, which was full of shops, arcades, restaurants, and live music. It’s the perfect way to end a beach day. Although we didn’t use the campground this time, we saw plenty of RVs set up near the water, and it looked like a great option for those staying overnight. In short, Hampton Beach State Park is clean, beautiful, well-managed, and offers a great balance of nature and fun. Whether you’re visiting for a few hours or planning a full beach day, it’s well worth it. We’ll definitely be coming back — maybe next time with the RV!

Fishing charter
Al Gauron Deep Sea Fishing and Whale Watching offers exciting whale watching tours departing from Hampton Beach Harbor or Rye Harbor. The spacious, well-maintained boat provides a comfortable experience, with friendly and knowledgeable staff ensuring an enjoyable trip. Guests have reported memorable encounters with various whale species, including humpback whales and a mother-and-baby pair. The tour involves cruising to prime spotting areas, so it's recommended to prepare for open water travel.
We took Al Guaron Deep Sea Fishing tour for the 4th of July Fireworks. My husband and I really enjoyed the cruise. They took us on a 3 hour boat ride around the bay and we were able to see the coast before the fireworks. We were located directly in front of the show and the pictures were great. Cash bar with coffee, hot cocoa, beer and seltzers.

Don't believe the negative reviews..... Was absolutely fantastic trip, left on time at exactly 1 pm there was no waiting for those who were late. Saw several whales and even a big ole shark..got amazing photos. Loved every minute, the ride, the food, the whales.... couldn't have been any better.

Took our boys for their first deep sea fishing experience today, and they loved it! The deck hand was friendly, fast, and super helpful! We got to see a few whales on the way out, which was awesome, too. The bathroom was easily accessible. Thank you for such a great time!! We will definitely be back!!

Fun time. Valerie made great drinks and her burgers smelled amazing. We saw 3 different types of whales, just wish we could have got closer, it was a beautiful day

Do not believe the negative review. It was a fantastic experience. Small ship, pleasant crew who took the time to give detailed explanations about whales and above all, we have seen them several times because the captain cannot content himself with a single spot. Beautiful afternoon

Deepsea fishing at its finest, mackerel, night striper ,whale watching, fireworks/sunset cruises as well as private charters half/full day trips...it's where I go to fish with the friendliest ppl and staff .I support the longtime family/small businesses that are slowly disappearing its not as it use to be when I grew up and ppl actually new your name and had the small town family feeling...and it would be a great loss to lose the tradition to pass on to future generations which I grew up on .

Fantastic deep-sea fishing trip! We caught a lot of fish, the crew was super friendly and helpful, and the boat was clean and comfortable. A perfect mix of fun, great service, and beautiful ocean views. Highly recommend!

Ocean Gaming is a beachfront American restaurant and casino offering a variety of card games, craps, roulette, and a money wheel. The gaming center caters to both traditional and modern gaming preferences, with options for large screen play with surround sound or online chatting with friends. The friendly and knowledgeable staff can assist in finding the perfect game for any mood or skill level.
This is a penny casino of sorts, where you could have fun with under $50 to loose, slots and tables must be 21. Staff is very friendly and they have a really nice balcony with an ocean view. They do not serve food. Happy hour is from 12:00 to 6:00 Pina coladas and Strawberry Daiquiris are $7 after that they go up to $10, still reasonable considering the prices on the strip. Great alternative to going up hundreds of stairs and still taking in the view. There is a chair lift on the inside stairs for individuals in a wheelchair.

Been coming here for about 10 years. After many changes this place is still great and its now a full blown casino with both smoke and non smoking areas. they kep the deck right outside the bar, which is beach front. Their drinks are cheap on happy hour and staff is friendly. I think they close at 1am everyday, year around. Recommended
FreeBird U — Google review
It's a fun place and lots of gambling options. Table and slots I definitely win more here than aces and eights down the street. I still like a&e though. Nice outdoor and deck with an ocean view. The security guards out front are good to know and will tell you all yeah need to know.
Peter W — Google review
Waited 1 hour to play blackjack on 9/18. 4 people waiting to play. 2 people just hoarded the table and had very nasty attitude telling me to go down the street pitboss refused to open more tables just one black jack table open I hope these two loose everything. If you need me I’ll be at Mohegan or Encore at least they will have more than 1 blackjack table and have free drinks. Place has gone way downhill
James O — Google review
Start to walk through the door on a Saturday night. Security guards check the four IDs and let us in. Not even a minute after walking through the door they say “on second thought we are not going to let you in tonight.” and gave no reason to turn us away. Buddy was trying a little too hard for his summer job. Place is only nice bc it’s conveniently across the street from a big beach. If you can help it, go to an actual casino like the Brook. Get this review deleted before anyone sees it. Would hate to have people know the truth.
Tim H — Google review
This place looks amazing! Its a real casino in front of the beach! The bar upstairs has seating outside beachfront, theres gambling tables and slot machines upstairs also a keno machine. Downstairs more slot machines, and the best part, a designated smokers section. Its too bad theres only about 38-40 machines, theres enough space to fit in about 8 more at least lol Its still good enough for me to spend an hour at least each visit. Theres a downstairs bar and they are open year around. what is not to love?
Tara W — Google review
“We used to really enjoy coming here, but unfortunately the experience has gone downhill. The last time we visited, the smoke was so overwhelming that it was hard to breathe. The air quality was so bad we couldn’t even stay and had to leave. It’s disappointing because this used to be one of our favorite places, but the environment has become unbearable.” Unfortunately
Darlene T — Google review
Had a great time! Not just the gaming either. Bartenders Serina and Steve were excellent. We went there 4 nights in a row. Food was excellent as well.

Al Gauron Luncheonette is a charming spot that offers a variety of classic breakfast and lunch dishes, along with an assortment of sides and coffee beverages. It's a modern interpretation of the traditional lunch diner commonly found in the area, attracting locals who come to enjoy hearty meals after spending time on the water. The casual bar area is perfect for soaking up stories from seasoned sailors. Visitors rave about the generous portions, with particular praise for the massive pancakes and ham and cheese omelette.
Oh I love this place. The staff was friendly and attentive. The grilled blueberry muffin was a new and yummy experience. The sausage, eggs, home fries, and English muffins were done perfectly. This is one of the best breakfast I’ve had.

This is probably the most disgusting "diner" I've ever stepped foot in. The floors look like they haven't been cleaned in decades, and every single decoration Has a two inch layer of dust on it. There's stacks of random hoarded items from the last 50 years or so. And the amount of flies inside is ridiculous. The only upside to this place is the staff was wonderful. Don't waste your time or your money coming here. There are much better breakfast options less than 5 minutes away.
Adam H — Google review
Was not disappointed — what a ride! 🐋🍻 This was my first-ever whale watch tour in New England, and it did not disappoint. The first was in Cabo and that will be tough to beat. The whole crew was super friendly, which, let’s be real, can sometimes go either way when you're Latino in New Hampshire—but they were nothing but welcoming from start to finish. Breakfast and drinks? Spot on. The lady handling the morning service was an absolute gem—smiles, jokes, and coffee? Yes, please. The whole vibe on board was relaxed and fun, and you could tell the staff really cared about making everyone comfortable. Shoutout to the captain, who had legit superhero vision. He was pointing out whales, dolphins, fish—you name it. The guy could probably spot a goldfish in the Atlantic. I was so impressed I started recommending the company that same day. And yes, I’d 100% go again. Small tip: My friend got a little seasick from the engine fumes when the boat backed up. Totally normal, but if you're sensitive, just cover your mouth and nose or head inside for a bit. Seasickness meds are your friend. I’m a pretty solid traveler, but my buddy ended up feeding the fishes 🐟🐠 (RIP to his breakfast).

Ute P is the bomb, absolutely love this place, good food, fast and lots of it. Do NOT be a hero and order the Big Stack, you'll only get giggles from Udda, if she is being kind. Pancakes bigger than your head! It's not NYC fine dining BUT if you're hungry and want good home cooked food to rival moms (maybe better than mom) this is the place! What you see 2 eggs over easy, two sausage patties, home fries, rye toast, coffee and just two pancakes. Yum all the way and Udda giggled at me, I got through one cake! ENJOY!😅😅
Richard F — Google review
Although the eggs were perfectly over easy it was the only thing that was decent as as well as the basic breakfast sausage. I got a very large rubbery pancake. It probably means it was over mixed. With like dirt grill stains on the pancake. I was not a big fan of whatever brand kielbasa they use which is a natural casing. It’s very difficult to eat natural casing kielbasa with plasticware. The server/host was more friendly to the locals. As a guest who has never been there I didn’t feel the hospitality coming from the lady. It’s very tight fit small diner everything was cluttered all on the back shelf which is an eyesore. They had open pastries sitting on the cluttered counter with no cover.
Cathleen C — Google review
What a great place! It's a local place with lots of character, and lots of characters! And the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you!!
Diana G — Google review
Nice local spot, with great prices. If you're looking for a great diner style breakfast stop here. The women who worked there also gave me great advice on new places to try.
Mikala W — Google review
Buyer beware! The ladies were fabulous, but that's about it for me. Unless you WANT to eat a meal with plastic cutlery on styrofoam with a complimentary massage from flies, you will be in luck! I don't think it's been totally deep cleaned since the 90s.

L Street Tavern 603, located in Hampton, NH, is a popular and memorable destination known for its fantastic beverages, live performances, and abundant late-night merriment. It should be an essential stop on any bar crawl in the area if you're wrapping up your time in Hampton. This establishment is truly ideal for reveling all night long in a warm and welcoming local setting devoid of pretentiousness. If you desire a relaxed beachside tavern experience, look no further than this remarkable bar.
Really great spot, we had our dog with us and we were all welcomed to sit on the patio with the fire tables which were really cool. The bartender was very nice and she even gave a piece of bacon to Stella. We ordered burgers and patty melt, everyone enjoyed their choices and there was a one man band on a Monday night which definitely made the experience that much better. This is definitely my favorite bar I've been to in a while and we will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Thanks folks you kick ass!

Pretty terrible prime rib special. You get what you pay for. Just about as thick as deli meat and tougher than pot roast. They just copied Wallys (including the sides) but did a poor job at it. Dip was 95% olive oil Music too loud outside Bathrooms pretty gross downstairs. Usually a good crowd at least
Bob M — Google review
Popped in here on a whim for a before the beach drink. Ordered the daily specials of Spaghetti and Meatball for $5.99 on Mondays. Great choice!
Billy S — Google review
Great place for comfort food, a great bar and music. The outside area has live music with tables that have a fire in the center, which is so cozy and welcoming. Once the live music was over at 11 we joined the crowd in the basement area for dancing to karaoke. I'm not a fan of karaoke but everyone on the dance floor sings along and it's really fun. We've been a few times and will definitely be coming back.

A favorite venue when visiting for the Seafood Festival. Conveniently located within walking distance of the strip. Staff, atmosphere, food and entertainment are always spot on! We always enjoy the outside firepits listening to the entertainment. The pudding shots are recommended. 5*****
