The Breakers is a grand summer home built by Cornelius Vanderbilt and his wife during the Gilded Age in Newport, Rhode Island. Designed by architect Richard Morris Hunt, this 70-room 'cottage' served as a showpiece for the Vanderbilts. The mansion boasts ornate artwork, gardens, and guided tours that showcase its overwhelming grandeur and fine decorative details. As a National Historic monument, it offers visitors an audio guide to explore its history and daily operations.
The Breakers is a jaw-dropping blend of Gilded Age opulence and ocean-spray drama, where every room feels like a scene change in a grand opera. The craftsmanship—marble, gilding, carved wood, and soaring ceilings—is so meticulous you find new details each time you look. The self-guided audio tour is outstanding: clear, engaging, and rich with stories that bring the Vanderbilt world to life. Strolling the grounds with the Atlantic as a backdrop adds a cinematic finish that photos never quite capture. If you visit Newport, this is the one landmark that absolutely earns the time, the ticket, and the superlatives.

The Breakers – A Dream for Gilded Age Fans For anyone who loves the Gilded Age or is fascinated by that era’s elegance and grandeur, The Breakers is an absolute must-see. The moment you walk through the gates, you feel like you’ve stepped straight into another world — one filled with history, beauty, and unapologetic luxury. Everything here is so well-organized: from the thoughtful visitor flow to the detailed explanations and perfectly preserved interiors. The house itself is simply magnificent — every room tells a story. The grand staircase takes your breath away, the ocean-view terrace is pure magic, and the bedrooms are both opulent and full of charm. And oh, the kitchen! It’s enormous, full of fascinating details, and somehow feels alive, as if it’s still ready to host a grand dinner for the Vanderbilt family. You can spend hours here, admiring the craftsmanship, imagining the parties, and feeling the spirit of the age. The views of the Atlantic are spectacular, and the whole place carries this wonderful mix of nostalgia and splendor. If you’re even a little curious about the Gilded Age, make sure to plan a visit — it’s an unforgettable experience that truly brings history to life.

Gorgeous mansion for visiting! We bought the tickets online before the visit, arrived late but they allowed us to get in anyway. Remember to download the app per the instructions posted there and bring your own headphones/earbuds so that you can listen to the descriptions and interesting stories as you step into each room. I was mesmerized by the decorative details. The place is perfect for visiting in the fall when the weather is cooler. You could sit in the back yard enjoying the vast sky and sea and grass field. It was a delightful experience!
Nhan T — Google review
Be sure you bring your headphones and get the Newport Mansions app so you can listen to the tour while you visit. This mansion is an awesome place to visit and learn some of the history of some of the Rockefeller family during the gilded age. The craftsmanship is spectacular and a bit over the top, but it really is an amazing place to witness. Highly recommend a visit!! As an added note, we visited during a day in port off the cruise ship. It's definitely an easy self guided excursion you can do, just a couple miles of the port. We saved a lot of money, saw multiple properties, did the tour on our own timeframe. It's an easy Uber ride or a nice walk to the property from the ship!

Very nice experience after watching the TV series Gilded Age. This maison should be the stage for the spring social season. The decoration is competitive to the royal palace even the size of building is much smaller. The architect is for sure trained in Beaux-arts as a general requirement at that period. The ceilings of many rooms are worth to study: they are clean, simple. The Roman Empire style decoration is perfectly adapted and applied here. One beautiful case for architecture students to learn the 20 century house design with European style.

Went on a Sunday at 9am, walked from the port from my cruise, really enjoyed the walk. The Breakers was beautiful in October. Nice cool breeze from the ocean outside. The Breakers showed a lot of rooms on display. The gift shop had a little bit for everyone with decent prices as well. Took me about two hours by myself to walk through the self guided audio tour, visit the shop, and walk around outside. I did not try the cafe. There was one restroom by the front ticketing area.

Went on a rainy and foggy day. Amazing historic building. Truly a must see, the self guided tour was great. Be sure download the app and connect to the wifi near the Welcome Center. Friendly staff and just amazing overall.

When you search for things to do in Newport, this is one of the things that always pops up. We are very glad that we were able to visit the Breakers, along with two other properties. The self-guided tour was very nice and we were able to enjoy the amazing views from inside and outside. If you are able to visit when you are in Newport, we highly recommend this place.

Marble House, a stunning Beaux-Arts-style mansion, was originally the summer residence of the Vanderbilt family and is now open to the public as a museum. Designed by Richard Morris Hunt in 1892, it was a birthday gift from William K. Vanderbilt to his wife Alva. The opulent interior features intricate details such as ceiling murals, chandeliers, carved woodwork, and a grand staircase.
The Marble House is breathtaking. The design and craftsmanship are unreal. You must do the audio tour because it brings the entire experience to life with fascinating stories and history. Every room was more impressive than the last. A true masterpiece in Newport. Definitely worth every minute.
Ted P — Google review
I visited Marble House right after touring The Breakers, and I have to admit that it was a bit overwhelming to take in two such incredible mansions in one day. However, Marble House is absolutely worth seeing on its own, as the interiors are stunning. One of my favorite parts of the visit was the Chinese Tea House on the grounds, which serves as a café. It’s a perfect spot to relax with tea or a snack after exploring the mansion. If you’re visiting Newport, I highly recommend including Marble House in your itinerary. It pairs nicely with The Breakers, while also featuring its own unique character and charm that make it stand out.

Marble House – Newport, RI Visiting Marble House was an absolutely amazing experience! The mansion is breathtaking inside and out — a true glimpse into the Gilded Age with its stunning architecture, opulent interiors, and rich history. My husband and I really enjoyed walking through each room, taking in the detail, and imagining what life must have been like during that era. The grounds are just as beautiful, with peaceful spots to sit and admire the view. The tour was well-organized, informative, and allowed us to move at our own pace, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s definitely a must-see when in Newport, and we left feeling like we’d stepped back in time. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates history, design, and a truly unique cultural experience.

Exploring Marble House in Newport feels like entering a storybook from a previous era. The glittering marble, the intricate design work, and the majestic halls all speak of an era defined by opulence and ambition. Inspired by the grand palaces of Europe, yet rooted in its own American history, the mansion tells the tale of a family whose wealth and vision helped shape Newport’s legacy. Beyond the lavish interiors, the grounds themselves are a treasure—beautifully landscaped, spacious, and inviting for a leisurely stroll. I only wish I had more time to wander both inside and outside, soaking in the beauty and atmosphere of this remarkable place.

Lovely stop. Walking through this beautiful house was breathtaking and eye opening. Lots to see and enjoy. Marble tubs for both salt and fresh water is a over the top crazy indulgence in life. Happy to see they also did good in the World with their money and not just have everything to them selves. Enjoy the tour but hope you enjoy what you have too and not envy all their riches.

The mansion is remarkable. The size and decoration is superb. I can feel related to history as this mansion reminded me of the movie ‘downtown abbey’ - if you visit the area, I would recommend to go and spend some time there.

Absolutely beautiful home and property. When we started doing our research of which of the Newport Mansions to visit, this one received many mentions so we included it. My husband and I viewed The Breakers and Chateau-sur-Mer as well and this one was by far our favorite. It was very opulent and the attention to detail is incredible. The tea house was very impressive as well. We utilized the app audio tour which was very informative and easy to follow and added quite a bit to our experience. We hope to visit Newport again in the future and will definitely make a return visit to Marble House.

Rosecliff is a Gilded Age mansion in Newport, designed by renowned architect Stanford White for Theresa Fair Oelrichs. The mansion boasts the largest ballroom in Newport and was known for hosting lavish parties, including one featuring Harry Houdini. It is also famous for its appearance in the film The Great Gatsby. Visitors can enjoy audio tours and visit the gift shop while taking in the grandeur of this historic estate.
Rosecliff is an unforgettable encounter with elegance—like stepping into a romantic daydream. It’s one of those places that truly takes your breath away, the kind of timeless beauty and grace you rarely see anymore. Inspired by the Grand Trianon at Versailles, the mansion is both grand and inviting, with that classic Beaux-Arts charm. The ocean views are absolutely stunning, the gardens are picture-perfect, and there’s a quiet magic to it all that lingers long after you leave.

Rosecliff is truly one of the most breathtaking venues in Newport. As a wedding photographer, I’m always inspired by the elegance of this mansion—the sweeping staircase, ornate ballroom, and manicured gardens make for the most timeless backdrops. Every corner feels like it was designed for a love story, from golden hour portraits on the terrace overlooking the water to romantic first dances under the gilded ceilings. The team here is also wonderful to work with, ensuring every event runs seamlessly. If you’re looking for a venue that’s equal parts iconic and romantic, Rosecliff is a dream come true. (Sharing a few of my favorite photos from a wedding here so future couples can envision the magic!)

Rich or poor it's nice to have money! Loved touring all the gilded age homes. Should have a package deal to see all the homes that are open. Currently you can purchase the Breakers plus 2. Parking was adequate however bathroom facilities were lacking for females. There was ALWAYS a line. I liked being able to have the self guided tour on my phone. Maybe something should be said about bringing personal ear buds. We ended up going to Walmart and buying some because we did not bring them from home. Home was not as furnished as the others but just as beautiful. Enjoyed hearing the stories about the owners and servants.
Debbie S — Google review
Although I like the Breakers more, I love that there is an art exhibit in this place and they host events. It was good to learn more about the architect himself and I could see little draft/working pieces of other homes in the exhibit. The "backyard" also has amazing gatsby views.

Went for the 2025 Newport Flower Show. Had never gone before and now understand why there are limited tickets and specific time slots for said tickets. It was cute and fun, but very crowded. As a "younger" horticulturalist who came to the NFS to supplement the loss of the Boston Flower Show, I was slightly disappointed and overall would think twice about doing it again. It felt like most people were there to be pretty around pretty plants and dont get their hands dirty 😂 I expected a slow moving crowd as these events usually attract the older generation, and that is exactly what happened. It wasn't just the elderly's fault though. I have patience for old people who love plants. It was the combination of older people and the younger IG photo snapping crowd was a disaster. The house is big but not THAT big, and I feel like everyone was so posh with their noses in the air they didnt take anyone else's time or space into consideration. There were displays I didnt even see because everyone needed a photo and couldnt get ir right, or would stand and wait til other got out kf their shot to get the perfect shot. The people were not the ephemeral vibe that plants and gardening is. The vendors fell below par, totally catering to the pretty posh people instead of plant people. I did get to touch base with a vendor from the Boston Flower Show, and that was great. Would probably attend solely to purchase from her in the future.

Ask for elevators. There are lots of stairs with no railings. The gardens and back lawn are the best parts.
Vickie A — Google review
An interesting “party house” that features a self guided & app supported audio tour of the interior. Upstairs there is an art gallery with historical photographs, paintings and drawings. There is NO ACCESS to the Cliffwalk so plan accordingly.
Joseph W — Google review
My husband and I went on a rainy day and it was perfect. It was not overly crowded and there wasn’t any wait. Rosecliff is definitely one of the more “demure” houses but that’s what makes it so beautiful. It was designed tastefully. It’s definitely smaller but still just as interesting as some of the bigger houses. The staff are friendly and informative. Highly recommend bringing headphones if you decide to do the self-guided tour! Overall, really beautiful!

King Park is a beloved destination in Newport, offering a range of attractions for visitors. It features a public beach with picturesque views of Newport Harbor and the Pell Bridge, as well as connecting to the Newport Harbor Walk. The park includes amenities such as a playground, pavilion with barbecue facilities, gazebo, and kayak launch. Additionally, it holds historical significance as the former Revolutionary War landing site of General Rochambeau.
Beautiful little waterside park in Newport, with spectacular views of the harbor and the bridge in the distance, particularly around sunrise or sunset. There’s a couple small beaches there, more for dipping your toes in the water than actually having a beach day. The grassy area is not very wide, but does stretch a decent distance along the waterfront. At the western end, there’s a pillar and statue to inform visitors of the historical significance of the area, as it was near there where the French army first disembarked under General Rochambeau in the American Revolution and turned the tide of the war. It’s a nice, peaceful place to enjoy nature and reflect on the sequence of events, hundreds of years ago, that led to the world of today.

Great views of Newport harbor and Narragansett Bay. Small public beaches with paved walkways along the waterfront. Plenty of space for a picnic etc excellent place to catch the sunset
Brian K — Google review
A very beautiful place to stroll and appreciate nature. I really liked the place; it had a lot of historical information about how it was built and everything else. I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

Kings Beach Park offers a delightful retreat for families with its stunning scenery and well-maintained grounds. The picturesque trails along the water provide breathtaking views, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a serene moment of reflection. The park is impressively clean, a testament to the diligent maintenance it receives. However, the playground at Kings Beach Park, while enjoyable, shows signs of wear and could benefit from some TLC. There are a few areas with structural damage that need attention. Despite this, my kids had a fantastic time playing and running around, fully immersed in their adventures. Overall, Kings Beach Park is a beautiful destination with plenty to offer, even if the playground needs a bit of an update. The natural beauty and well-kept environment make it well worth a visit.

Giusto is a stylish Italian restaurant that offers a variety of pasta, meat dishes, and seafood along with an assortment of cocktails and wines. The open-air porch provides stunning harbor views, making it an ideal setting for a delightful dining experience during the late spring or summer. Chef-owner Kevin ODonnell and his team have been recognized for their outstanding hospitality, earning a James Beard Foundation semifinalist nomination.
Absolutely fabulous. We live just outside Washington DC and have a few Michelin-star restaurants. Giusto is better. We had the Black Bass Crudo with kiwi and yuzu (amazing), the Japanese Eggplant, fruit di mare Bucatini and the Mushroom Agnolotti (wow), followed by the Coconut Lime dessert - all with a great Italian white wine. An amazing experience, with fabulous service a wonderful view of Newport harbor. Thank you, Chef and all the staff at Giusto!

Everything about this place was an absolute 10/10, from the minute we stepped to the host stand to when we finalized our check. All of the staff was incredibly attentive, helpful, and went over the top to make sure we had a great experience. Our servers/food runners were great, the one server that stood out was Hope. She was friendly, funny, and overall created the best environment for our time there. All, and i mean ALL, of the food and drinks were AMAZING. Even the most unique & strange flavor combinations I was pleasantly surprised by; for example the capresi martini. I’ve truly never had anything like it. Hands down one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.

Nicely curated Italian restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining options. The chef's choice 7 course dinner is a wonderful option. Impressive wine list compliments the food. The pasta was perfectly seasoned. The salmon was also very good. Terrific service as well.
Mark L — Google review
The atmosphere here is excellent — warm lighting, a clean setup, and a relaxing vibe that captures the charm of a cozy Italian spot with a beautiful sea view. The environment alone, paired with an impressive wine selection, makes it worth a visit. Customer service was moderate. The staff were polite, but attentiveness was lacking. We were left waiting outside for about 15–20 minutes — a noticeable miss, especially considering the restaurant was roughly 80% empty. There were also minor delays with refills and an awkward seating arrangement, though nothing too disruptive. The food itself was hit or miss. Some courses were flavorful and thoughtfully prepared, while others felt rushed in execution or uneven in portion and presentation. We ordered the tasting menu for two, which was both expensive and lengthy — stretching over two hours. While the concept was creative, the pacing and overall delivery didn’t quite match the elegance the setting suggested. Overall, this restaurant shines in atmosphere and ambiance, but there’s room for improvement in service and culinary consistency. It’s a lovely spot to enjoy a glass of wine and the view, best suited for a relaxed evening rather than a fine-dining experience.

We accidentally stumbled across the restaurant while taking a walk and went in to try. The menu is small but the staff explain the menu well if needed. We got a simple marinara pasta and mafaldine (lobster pasta). Both of them were very yum and seemed fresh. The marinara sauce is amazing. They were able to give a coloring set for my kid which helped. We had a good experience there!

I had my wedding rehearsal dinner at Giusto and it was unreal! We worked with Stacy who was so sweet and amazing to work with! She truly had everything under control and we didn't have to worry about the thing. Now let's talk about the food...THE MOST AMAZING. From the raw bar to the apps, to the multiple courses, to the dessert, everything was UNREAL. Every single one of our guests said it's not only the best rehearsal dinner food they've ever had but some of the best food they've ever had. There was more than enough food for everyone and the space was beautiful! They even had a microphone for speeches. We truly had the most amazing rehearsal dinner at Giusto! And thank you to Stacy for everything!! We have also now dined there so many times and it's become our favorite restaurant in Newport/all of Rhode Island :)

It's not the first time I've visited Italian restaurants in America, but this one conveys the real flavors of Italian cuisine. And as a person who traveled to Italy, I want to say with confidence that they conveyed the flavors of Italy. The dishes we ordered were extremely tasty. The desserts also turned out to be very good. The waitress was very attentive to our requests, she knew everything about the dishes we were interested in and according to her recommendations we were able to enjoy our dinner. Therefore, they not only cook deliciously here, but also have the highest level of service. I recommend this restaurant 100%.

we had an incredible dining experience from beginning to end. giusto is absolutely worth they hype, and deserved of every praise and accolade. tip: ideally secure a reservation as far in advance as possible, but you’re like us, and your dinner plans came together that afternoon, call and get on the waitlist to be notified if a seat opens. we arrived at 8, and were able to secure a 9:15 seat, while we waited at the bar, standing for 10 mins before bar seats opened, and we ended up just having our meal there, which was an excellent experience. nick our bartender was amazing, the food was beyond. top tier, i had the duck confit, and she had the buscatini, we had the croquettes to start, and ended with the olive oil cake and salted caramel gelato, oh and a negroni or 3, all were phenomenal choices. can’t go wrong here ever! will be back!

Pasta Beach Newport is a charming spot known for its intimate ambiance and delicious pasta dishes dressed in homemade sauces, as well as gourmet thin-crust pies and focaccia panini. The restaurant, owned by the Ropolo family, offers a classic Italian dish called Spaghetti alle Vongole, featuring small and flavorful Italian clams that evoke memories of the beautiful Amalfi Coast.
Pasta Beach in Newport was excellent. I had the gnocchi and the ravioli, both were delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was on point. Easily one of the best Italian meals I’ve had in a while. I’ll be coming back. Five stars.

Pretty good experience! Some of the food fell a little flat but the sausage and smoked mozzarella pasta was incredible. Service was good and attentive. Atmosphere was a little cluttered feeling, but maybe that's because it was during the day. Would go back again just for that pasta dish.

We came here for an early Friday dinner. The carbonara was amazing. The watermelon salad was very good. The vodka pasta was good but didn’t taste like typical vodka sauce that I was expecting. My daughter enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. I was not a fan of the ricotta dip or the meatballs.
Nicole M — Google review
The service and atmosphere was good and everyone was nice. We got salad, confit potatoes, cacio e pepe and creme brulee. The cacio e pepe was okay. Maybw it was because we requested to get all the stuff together, so the pasta started clumping up as it cooled. Other than that, everything was pretty good!

Tasty Italian dishes, but on the higher end of the price range. The appetizer of Burrata was amazing and the lasagna was delicious and served in a huge portion. The food was fast, but service could have been better.

The decor inside is very nice. The pizza was completely soggy and oily (as you can see in the picture), the pasta was very bland/under seasoned/overcooked considering the price, waste of money. On top of that, the specified complementary bread on the menu wasn't served to us until we asked about it, and recieved a sigh from the server for asking, but it seemed our server Emily was capable of providing it to the tables around us. Mind you they weren't even busy, we were like the 5th table there.

Unfortunately, this place disappointed us. We came to the city for special occasion, but mood of the waitress ruined our day. She was kind of rude and “unhappy” to work with us. Vine was served in plastic cup… and whiskey in regular vodka shot…. We asked not to serve us a tap water, but our voices weren’t heard. Oil bottle had broken and had the part inside

One star and that’s just for the drink. The pizza Quattro was a full-blown dairy crisis. Cheese so thick The tuna? I don’t know what part of the fish that was. The pasta came with frozen peas that tasted like they hadn’t emotionally thawed since Gilded age maximum regret. The staff I didn’t know I booked a speed-dining experience. was mid-meal, drink still full, fork in hand and a staff member comes over to ask if we want the bill.

This historic gem was completed in 1901 as a summer retreat for coal magnate Edward Berwin and his wife Herminie, boasting modern amenities that were ahead of their time.
The Elms is truly one of Newport’s shining gems—and my personal favorite mansion. It’s absolutely breathtaking and full of old-world charm. From the moment you arrive, you’re transported back to the Gilded Age, surrounded by elegant French-inspired architecture, grand interiors, and gardens that look like they belong in a fairytale. It’s luxurious but never cold—every room and detail feels thoughtfully and lovingly preserved. You can almost picture the lavish parties and quiet moments that once filled these halls. If you’re exploring Newport, The Elms is a must. It’s simply unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to the Preservation Society for keeping this jewel so beautifully alive.

The Elms is such a stunning and timeless venue in Newport. I had the opportunity to photograph an engagement session here for one of my couples who is getting married locally, and it was nothing short of magical. The architecture, symmetry, and gardens are absolutely breathtaking—every spot feels like it belongs on the pages of a classic romance novel. From the dramatic staircase to the perfectly manicured grounds, The Elms offers endless opportunities for beautiful, elegant photos. If you’re looking for a venue that combines European charm with Newport grandeur, The Elms is an unforgettable choice. (Sharing a few of my favorite photos here!)

Easily one of our favorite mansions. It is gorgeous inside and out but by far has the most beautiful grounds with beautiful gardens and fountains and sculptures. We enjoyed our time here year after year. We also love the cafe out in back which has really delicious food and ambience. Edit add: The restaurant at Elms review: The Carriage House is one of our favorite places in Newport already! It just opened and we already went twice on our last trip to Newport in one week. We absolutely loved the tasty club sandwiches, salads, drinks (I had lemonade and my wife had iced tea). The service is very good. The ambiance and beauty of place is exceptional- how can you go wrong sitting at Elms after all! Highly recommend you make a trip out and make reservation in advance as it can get busy at times. Dine like the royals for a day!

✨ The Elms – A Grand Tour Worth Experiencing ✨ Taking the audio tour at The Elms was nothing short of amazing. The storytelling brought the Gilded Age to life, guiding us through the grand rooms and exquisite décor that still feels timeless today. What really stood out was seeing the behind-the-scenes details—especially the kitchen. Tucked away and literally “put on the back burner” back in the day, it was fascinating to realize how differently the household ran compared to the opulence shown upstairs. The contrast between servant life and high society was eye-opening. Every corner of the mansion revealed layers of history and artistry. From the intricate furnishings to the architectural flourishes, you can feel the care and vision poured into every detail. Highly recommend the audio tour—it’s engaging, informative, and makes you appreciate not just the grandeur, but also the grit that kept it all running.

It was awesome to walk through and see a piece of Newport history and to catch a glimpse into the lives of a historic, wealthy Newport family and their service staff. The house is beautiful even though a few rooms were under construction. It's amazing even though it's a bit more "simple" than the nearby Breakers and other ultra gilded mansions around. Worth the tour if you have a day to spare. I'd recommend this ( and the other mansions) as part of a self guided tour to save hundreds vs the cost of an on ship cruise excursion. You can see more, do it at your own pace, and save. Easy access from port and a nice 10 minute walk to the other mansions. Just remember to download the app and bring headphones so you can listen to the tour.

Visiting The Elms Mansion was one of the most inspiring and mind-blowing experiences I’ve had in the United States. Having recently started watching The Gilded Age, it felt surreal to walk through the real-life settings and made the visit feel even more personal. The mansion and its gardens are stunning, and everything is beautifully maintained. I purchased the Newport Historical Society membership ($115, includes entry for a guest and access to all the mansions), and I’m already planning future trips to return and explore the rest. There’s also a new café on site that I’ll try next time. One of the highlights was the audio guide — easy to download with your ticket or membership. I didn’t have headphones, but even at low volume it guided me room by room, explaining what I was seeing, which made the experience interactive and exciting.
Karina T — Google review
The Elms was included in the tickets we bought to visit the Breakers. The Elms isn’t as grandiose as the Breakers, but it was pleasant to visit. The French architecture and decor are lighter and elegant. Remember to download the app according to the instructions there and bring your own headphones/ear buds for listening to the audio guide as you step into each room.
Nhan T — Google review
$25 entry fee by itself if you don't purchase a package or annual pass. You can listen to the audio guided tour while walking thru, but with headphones. The house is quiet. Not all rooms are open but they have signs that help direct the direction of the tour. All the rooms are roped off around/near the doors but you can take non-flash photography. Overall i feel the price is a bit high for 1 house that literally took maybe 15 minutes to walk through without the audio tour but you can walk the grounds and gardens. They were serene and pretty. Not heavy on the flowers but a lot of trees. There are "directors" hanging around if you have questions or need help. A restroom is located in the basement level. They do offer group tours but I believe you hand to call ahead and schedule those. There is free parking onsite.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame, located in Newport, is a must-visit for tennis fans and history enthusiasts alike. It's the birthplace of the U.S. championship tennis and offers an array of attractions including interactive exhibits, a holographic theater featuring stars like Roger Federer, displays of iconic tennis attire, video highlights of historic matches, and even Queen Victoria's 1874 patent for lawn tennis.
The new renovated experience was wonderful (priced well for tickets). For those who ask can we play on grass? The answer is Yes, $250 an hour and must be dressed in white tennis gear. I respect the price and formality, however it would also be neat to have a general experience (adults and kids) set up without all the formality -- come as you are with a few hits. Do like that you can in the general area without paying. Well done!

Real Tennis World in Newport — one visit is never enough! Everything about this place is amazing. It’s such a grand and historic spot that makes you feel like you’re traveling back in time. The staff at the museum are the sweetest, especially Liz, who can share so much information about the history of tennis. It was an unforgettable experience that I will always cherish.

Museum was very nice. Presentation of archived equipment and autographed clothes and racquets was nicely done. Even the arrangement of topics and themes was very good. Video selection at the end of the tour was plentiful and highly interesting to watch. Tennis afficionados will spend a good amount of time here enjoying the artifacts, both old and new.

I enjoyed it and I am not a tennis fan. However... First, beware of parking! There is a large gated pay lot across the street attached to a strip mall of stores. My party stayed 1.5 hours and the parking was $24!!! MAKE sure you go to one of the list of stores in that mall to get your ticket validated or you may suffer the same fate. There is absolutely zero street parking available since the museum is on a busy commercial road. I found the pricing on par with many similar spaces with a few caveats. There was a cash price and a credit price. THEN there was an ADDITIONAL SERVICE FEE regardless of how you paid or if you were a senior or not. What's that for? Tariffs? The young man who took my folding money did not have a clue either. If EVERYONE HAS TO PAY IT, no matter how old you are or how you pay, just include it in the price. This is off-putting and messy. The museum is housed in the old and beautiful Rhode Island Casino. Spectacular is the word that comes to mind. Clean, spacious, and well-curated. There is something for everyone. If you like stats, interactive kiosks, or memorabilia you will find it here. Note that there are 2 gift shops. Everyone on the staff that we spoke to was pleasant and informative. Sorry for the sparse pictures. I did not know that Google was going to ask for a review. I usually do restaurants. Your mileage may vary.

Great place for tennis enthusiasts to learn the history of the sport throughout the years. People also play court tennis here. They have a cool shop to buy tennis gear and merchandise. The people at the reception are so much fun.

The museum is small but it is pretty well maintained. Not a lot of artifacts but it is a good walk through it. It was a rainy day when we visited hence there’s no tennis match nor practice.

Aquidneck Shopping Centre in Newport, Rhode Island is a delightful destination for a shopping excursion. The friendly staff at every store make the experience truly exceptional. Whether you're grabbing last-minute items after work or enjoying the well-stocked Shaws Market with its efficient and cheery service, this center has something for everyone. From quality coffee at Starbucks to a positive hair salon experience, Aquidneck Shopping Centre offers convenience and top-notch service.
I went to the hair salon to have my hair cut. It was a positive experience. Elaina did a great job for me. I highly recommend it.

Went to CVS and scored some good buys. I always check out the marked down items (50-75% off). I usually find something. It's worth the trip, and if you belong to the CVS reward program, then you'll get $10 monthly (I pay $48 for the year) and get $10 each month ($120 dollars per year) still ahead after deduction of $48 fee.

My shopping center excursion lol was an absolute de-light, thanks to the unfailingly friendly staff found in every store. Idk how RI does it but Newport is generously blessed with manners. But it was at Starbucks where the experience truly shone for me. Their service was nothing short of exceptional, and their coffee quality consistently exceeded my expectations. (I get a shaken espresso w/ oat milk) Whether I sought a quick caffeine pick-me-up or a tranquil moment of respite, Starbucks unfailingly delivered each visit. This shopping center appears to have perfected the art of customer service, ensuring that each visit is a joy. With their warm and efficient staff scattered across various establishments, it has effortlessly become my favored destination for a splendid day out. I wholeheartedly and unequivocally recommend it for a top-notch shopping experience that combines superb service with retail therapy.

Nature & Parks
Second Beach, also known as Sachuest Town Beach, is a popular stretch of shoreline that attracts both locals and tourists. It is located near First Beach and offers spectacular views throughout the year. The beach boasts well-kept sand, warm water during the summer months, and a laid-back atmosphere that appeals to families. Visitors can enjoy smooth sand and smaller waves, making it ideal for activities like boogie boarding and bodysurfing.
I went during the Fall so the tourists are gone, which makes this beach a walking paradise for both humans and dogs. It is a beautiful Long Beach. Would be great for a family picture. The parking is probably too small in the summer and it must be a nightmare to park in July/August. I haven’t experienced the summer here yet so it is a guess.
Virginie G — Google review
Im not sure why it has such high reviews. With the $35 price tag of parking, this beach is not worth it. Especially when Cape cod is only an hour and half away. I have been to the beaches around America and the world. I am still wondering why this beach is even $35. I understand $15. The sand is dark, muddy, with rocks and seaweed everywhere. The sand isn't cleaned as other beaches. The water was not as clear, and bathrooms were literally falling apart. SAVE your money and go elsewhere. If you think this is the best beach, then you need to get out more
Steffryz — Google review
there was a lot of people tbh so everyone is kinda close but the water was kinda warmer than other places!! and there was a part of the water where it was like a whole MILE of seaweed but if you just avoid that you’re chillin. i was also still able to stand up mad far out!!! love when that’s a thing

A bit crowded , but to be expected in August. Sand is soft and looks like it gets raked. We came at 1000am on Saturday and was still able to get parking. CASH OR CHECK ONLY FYI. Crowd was overall respectful, given this is a public beach, No loud music, cigarettes or weed, (a real bonus in today's society) 🤣 oh yeah.... watch out for the seagulls, they are super aggressive with food and trash, they go right into your bag and take food from your hands.

Absolutely clean, calm and nice to seat there , very relaxing. A little bit pricey the parking lot $35 on weekends and $25 during the week days per cars.

Visiting for the weekend from Long Island. Clean beach, easy parking, and access to showers and bathroom facilities are in like-new condition. Water is very shallow, no big waves and calm for kids and families. Life guard towers are a plus!

Mid September. Free parking. Concessions closed, del’s lemonade on surfer’s end. Lots of space to yourself. Long strip of beach to walk along. Still beautiful weather, shallow temperate water, some moderate waves for bobbing in. Handful of dogs on beach which is not allowed until October. Third beach was too calm for me so I opted to come here.

Mexican restaurant
Chipotle Mexican Grill is a popular fast-food establishment that specializes in Mexican cuisine. Customers have the option to customize their own burritos, tacos, and bowls. Despite being crowded, people flock to this restaurant for a good reason - the food is delicious and incredibly fresh. The wait time in line is typically around 10 minutes, which is not too bad considering the quality of the meal. The ordering process takes about 4 minutes, ensuring a quick service experience.
Okay. So this place gets a low rating and I get it. BUT there is a new manager and let say, he was awesome. I wanted chips as my bed instead of rice and he said “not a problem” without a hesitation and with a smile. I LOVE getting my nachos from chipotle, and has a terrible experience with the prior manager. Keep up the good customer service and soon you’ll be back in the 4 star range.
Olya M — Google review
Let me start by saying I NEVER leave reviews, unless the service is exceptionally good, or exceptionally bad. I ordered a smoked brisket bowl with extra protein online for in store pick up, and paid $20 for the bowl alone, a ridiculous price as it is. Not only did I not get extra brisket, I barely got what would be considered a normal bowl. Now on my only 30 minutes of lunch, I don’t have time to drive back and have them fix their mistake. This is a repeated offense at this location specifically, as my coworkers and I order from her frequently. I wish I could be 100% confident I am getting what I’m spending my money on, but with this location, I can’t.
Matthew C — Google review
Just moved to Newport so decided to get food from here. Not welcomed, rushed and the place was dirty. All the tables had food on it and even behind the counter where they are serving, there are crumbs and food all over the place which is even more gross. Got food and crumbs all over my bowl and the person at the register threw my bowl in a bag upside down. I asked them to wipe the excess food off my bowl and the gave me an attitude. The nerve. Never again. When I go out to eat I love seeing how the workers interact with other customers and they were rude to customers in front of me which gave me a red flag immediately. Also, portion sizes were extremely small!
Shani — Google review
Honestly, this is probably the worst chipotle location I’ve ever been to. Never ever order online because you will be skimped and most likely they will get your order wrong. 95% of the time I’ve been to this location, the workers are extremely rude and inattentive. I work in the service industry and I understand having bad days. But almost everytime I have gone in, the workers are very rude and skimp you on protein. For example, today I went in and each of us got bowls. Every one of our bowls had a minuscule amount of meat that was scraped from the bottom of the tin. I didn’t get one smile, hello, how are you, have a good day. I actually said have a great one to the worker and he looked at me and said nothing. Extremely disappointed, do better chipotle.
Brooke S — Google review
Unfortunately, this Chipotle has failed to provide a good experience for me. Typically, all the tables are covered in food remnants from other patrons and the trash is piled up to the point it is stacked high onto the tray shelves. More times than not, the fountain drink machine is out of ice. I would greatly appreciate being told that they were out of ice/hadn’t gotten the chance to fill it yet before purchasing my fountain drink. Lastly, I understand food service is not an ideal industry to work in; however, the demeanor of the employees is far from welcoming and a deterrent for me.
Libby G — Google review
I finally figured out why the tables are always gross. It is because they over stuff everything that isn't a bowl. I ordered a burrito 🌯 and watched as the person struggled to fold it in the tortilla. It was almost comical besides that I was then supposed to eat it... I had found one of the only marginally clean areas and grabbed a seat. Only a few bites in and the burrito integrity was failing quickly. It was spilling everywhere and it was at this point that I realized two things. One this is why Chipotles are always gross. Two never ever again will I order a Chipotle burrito 🌯 😒. When you go to Chipotle stick to a bowl and do yourself a big favor. The food, service, and everything here was just so so.
Jeffrey O — Google review
I hadn’t been in a while since I would become ill every time I ate here and they never had veggies. Went back and it’s still a filthy location. The food is subpar. The rice was crunchy/undercooked and the steak was beyond over cooked. The only good part of the meal was the guacamole. Only one a of restaurant employees said hello (the only female) and the rest didn’t say anything. Sadly will not be returning to this location anytime soon.
Lauren H — Google review
Disclaimer: Been to almost all 70 chipotle’s around. Here: small portions, brown rice way under cooked. Double meat is like regular in some other locations. Plus they forgot to put protein to one of my guys employees.

Went to bar and board last month for my birthday with a few friends and sister. We sat upstairs at the bar and had some really great drinks. Our cheese board was nice (and tasty), but the wings were not good at all. I also didn’t realize we had to pay for the added items outside of the cheese and meats (when we were offered them I thought it was just part of the board and said sure). I think next time we would just stick to drinks. Overall, i would go back for the vibes, views, drinks and service.

I had such a great experience here on a Friday night! Not only was the food amazing, but they also had live music, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. I ordered the grilled chicken with Caesar salad, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, and the salad was fresh, crisp, and topped with just the right amount of parmesan. The waiting time was awesome — my food came out quickly, and the service was friendly and attentive the whole time. The service was friendly and attentive, and the live music created such a fun and welcoming vibe. It was the perfect combination of great food, great service, and great ambiance. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to friends! For dessert, I had the most indulgent treat a rich brownie topped with creamy ice cream, drizzled in caramel and chocolate, sprinkled with nuts, and finished with swirls of whipped cream. Every bite was a perfect balance of warm and cold, sweet and nutty. It was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked!

Meatball Trio and colossal shrimp were excellent. Sea bass special was good once salted - very bland upon delivery, and the lobster role was inconsistent throughout - some bites were tender and buttery and others dry, chewy and lacking flavor. The smash burger (not pictured) was just ok. We received our food before drinks, had empty water glasses most of the time, and our server forgot two or three time each: silverware (we ended up taking from the server station), water, salt, and a to go box. Good location and spot for people watching through the windows.

Highly recommend! As visitors, we wanted a place for dinner that was in the heart of downtown but didn't feel touristy. The lasagna bianca was absolutely delicious as was the salmon! Even though we were full, we had to try the bread pudding -- we savored every moist, rich, satisfying bite. (The portion was so generous that we took some home for later!) I am a foodie at heart and was so glad we ate here, sitting in the tasteful bar area overlooking cobblestone streets with docks across the street.

Stopped in here twice the week of 9/14/25 stumbled into the bar Sunday evening because we heard the live Jazz from the street. Had excellent cocktails at the bar while enjoying the music. Spoke with chef, Andrew and he talked us into visiting later in the week on Taco Tuesday, which we did. We loved the Birria Tacos and Salmon entree. I also want to give a shoutout to our server Connor, he was excellent as well. The whole vibe of this restaurant is classy and fun. While the food and drinks are just as enjoyable! We will definitely be back next time we’re in Newport.

From the moment we walked in the door, it was the coolest vibe in Newport. We sat at the bar with Jonah and Angel because we didn't have a reservation on a busy Friday night, had great drinks. This place is impressive in that it's won my worst pizza of all time award. The pizza is disgusting. I'd rather eat cafeteria pizza out of a garbage can before eating this pizza again. The pizza is burnt but mushy and indistinguishable if you order multiple pies what's what. Pat yourselves on the back because if you can't be the best at least be the worst.

Aquidneck Pizzeria & Bar completely exceeded our expectations. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, and it was outstanding—crispy, perfectly baked crust, rich tomato sauce, and generous slices of high-quality pepperoni with just the right amount of spice. We also tried the feta cheese and fresh tomatoes pizza, which was a total standout. The combination of creamy feta, juicy ripe tomatoes, and fresh herbs on a light, golden crust was simply unforgettable. Every dish was made with care and packed with flavor, and the friendly, professional service made the whole experience even better. Whether you’re local or just passing through, this is a place you won’t want to miss. We’ll definitely be back!

The waitress was wonderful, had me laughing my head off when I asked her what the chalk drawing was about. She said the owner drew it, it was supposed to be Death holding Covid-19 in its hand. It was approaching a guy enjoying himself while tubing and drinking. If you think about it, it's hilarious. This guy is just sitting in his tube, floating, drinking, and along comes Death walking in the water up to his waist and approaches this guy, like "Hey, you there, having a good time? Well, not anymore!" I thought it was very, very funny. Anyway, she gave us a free beer when she figured out she had misunderstood our drink order. The menu lists two types of Sam Adams beers, but she insisted they only had one type. We didn't argue, but later on after she waited on another table who ordered the same thing, she realized what she had done and brought us the beer we'd wanted, explaining she'd had some brain fog or something. The vegetarian pizza was really, really good, but my pasta with oil and garlic was dry. Didn't have enough oil or garlic. But the garlic bread was very good, and the waitress even made sure to tell me it was made with oil and not butter, since I'm vegan and she had inquired ahead of time - good for her! You don't usually encounter such thoughtful and considerate waitstaff. We could have sat outside, but it was too windy for me, so we had a nice time watching the local news on the indoor tvs. All in all, a very nice time. Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Third Beach. Not quite as popular as Newport Vineyards & Restaurant, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Wildlife refuge
Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, located in Middletown, Rhode Island, is a picturesque refuge with over 2.5 miles of nature trails and a visitor center. The site's history includes use as a farming and sheep grazing area, as well as a former rifle range for the US Navy during World War II. Today, it spans 242 acres and is an important winter habitat for migratory birds like harlequin ducks.
I began coming to this little slice of paradise when I moved here from the southwest over 4 years ago. Everyday I see something more spectacular than the time before. I’m here through all seasons. I come early in the mornings and lose myself in its tranquility. I visit at dusk and watch the wildlife. There is a long part of the path that smells of honeysuckle for weeks! How lucky we are to have such a wonderful place on Aquidneck Island:-)

I recently visited this beautiful place, and I highly recommend taking a walk here on sunny days. The pathway along the cliff offers stunning scenic views, making every step a joy. During our visit, we were fortunate enough to spot deer sitting just a short distance away, peacefully observing us. It truly was a lovely day spent in nature. The visitor center provides valuable information about the location, including details on local animals and birds. It also features a small souvenir store where you can find unique mementos from your visit. It's a great stop to enhance your experience!

Pristine details of nature are revealed on our magnificent walk through this National Wildlife Refuge. Along the way we enjoyed witnessing deer, bunnies and seagulls who call the Refuge home. A great place to appreciate nature. Be sure to breathe deeply because the air is the freshest here.

Absolutely one of my favorite places to watch the sunset. They have nice paved paths for walking and running. They're deer all over amongst other animals. I enjoy being here.
Dave P — Google review
Amazing place for Bird Photography. The beach nearby is also really nice. Only issue is the town charges 35$ on weekends for non-residents which is a lot.
Imran K — Google review
I LOVE coming here this place is so worth it. A beautiful place to get away to go for a quiet walk with several paths that lead down to the ocean where you can go and sit by ocean and stare out. It's also a place where you can fish. You will also see many different types of birds and butterflies around that will leave you in awe. Just remember to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a bottle of water especially on hot days.

The trails are so well kept and easy to run or walk. The access points down to Ricky beaches are a must

Visited on a beautiful sunny day for a 3-mile jog — the perfect setting. The loop around the point offers stunning ocean views, and the trail is wide, well maintained, and surrounded by a wonderful variety of coastal flora.

Beaches
Third Beach in Middletown, RI is a serene and family-friendly destination with a boat launch, lifeguards, and a picnic area. It's known for its tranquil atmosphere and is particularly popular among families with young children. The beach offers ample parking and during the off-season, it provides plenty of space to roam without being crowded. Leashed dogs are welcome, making it an ideal spot for dog owners to enjoy a leisurely walk along the shore.
The perfect beach to stay away from the hustle and bustle ( or at least limit it in summer ) I walk my dog here often as do many locals. Leash must be on. There's lots of interesting things to discover during a walk here. You just never know what you will find anything from abandoned swim trunks to a front hand loader. Parking in paid parking only during warmer months. Personally, I prefer it november-may.
Jeff F — Google review
Really beautiful beach and quiet! The water is nice and calm and there are not too many people if you don't want to be around a lot of crowds!
Cherie G — Google review
Went here during the off season (early February) and it was great. Lots of parking. Warm day and it was not crowded at all. Plenty of space to roam. Our little guy is collar trained so we didn't have any concerns around other dogs (we leashed when another leashed dog was near) but please do not bring untrained dogs off leash. The beach is small enough and pretty close to the road so if your dogs recall isn't good just keep that in mind. Otherwise it's a nice little beach!
Beau C — Google review
Large beach with a medium parking area across the street. It is also labeled a town beach with a needed parking pass in season. It is covered in snail shells so being barefoot is not recommended. Seaweed covers the immediate water entrance, but past that the water is clean.
Ali B — Google review
Third Beach is a hidden gem of Vancouver - where golden sunsets paint the sky, gentle waves whisper against the shore, and towering evergreens stand as silent guardians. Perfect for peaceful strolls, cozy bonfires, or simply losing yourself in nature's tranquility. The view of Stanley Park's forests meeting the ocean here is pure magic!
James W — Google review
Beautiful beach, nice fine sand, waves tend to be small (depending upon the weather). A good beach for families with younger children.

Bunch of clowns work there, they tell you price is 25$ then they say it’s 35$. And won’t take the money when i’m 2$ short. Who uses checks or cash in 2025? The manager is older than George washington and workers are still in middle school. Went to a much better beach 10 min away
Dinu А — Google review
Great beach. Lots of space to find your own spot. I saw someone there playing with a dog, all day, so I'm assuming they are allowed. Parking $20, which is a bit stiff, if you ask me. The send is nice and clean. The waterline is covered in seashells, so be careful walking in and out, to not cut your feet. No restroom is a big negative. There are 2 porta-pottys, but you can imagine the condition of those.

Norman Bird Sanctuary is a 325-acre wildlife refuge in Middletown, offering 7 miles of hiking trails that wind through woodlands, gardens, marshes, and beaches. The sanctuary is home to over 250 species of birds and animals. Visitors can enjoy the famous Hanging Rock with stunning views of Second Beach and Middletown.
Norman Bird Sanctuary is a beautiful preserve in Middletown with extensive hiking trails, picturesque views, and excellent wildlife viewing. I went there for a hike on Wednesday afternoon, and stumbled onto their Wednesday Walks event, which was great because I got a guided tour of the sanctuary AND got free entry. The employees seem very passionate about their work, and offer a lot of group events especially for youth. I look forward to coming back and exploring more!

Beautiful place to visit. This time of year, not so many birds, but such a peaceful beautiful setting. Hanging rock was worth the easy hike.
Jenny B — Google review
It’s a wonderful place, founded in 1949 through a gift of land by Mabel Norman Cerio. It’s beautifully maintained to give birders a fantastic opportunity to enjoy birdwatching and study birds in their natural habitats. The trails are well-kept, the scenery is gorgeous, and the sanctuary offers a peaceful setting for observing and learning about bird behavior.
Ubaya M — Google review
Wonderful park! After a full day in Newport, as if walking there wasn’t enough, we went to this bird sanctuary to experience the nature of the area. It was easy to find, had a cute gift shop/souvineer, and clean restrooms. If you live in the area, this would be a fantastic place to return again and again- many educational opportunities for kids. And adults- they offered me a pair of binoculars to borrow! Their website has a good quality map you can check out in advance and plan your walk. We only had an hour here, we did the Nelson Pond trail that went up on a ridge and provided fantastic overlook views. I was surprised, despite the marker being a ‘black diamond’ to indicate its difficulty, that this trail indeed had you use your hands to climb up a few feet of rocks! I felt safe and capable. There are a lot of different trails at the park so you can choose what works for you, but if you think all they offer are gentle walks, you better come here to see for yourself! We had a great time. We heard the birds but we don’t know how to find them. In the pond we spotted blue herons and turtles. I recommend this park to all visitors and locals of the area to experience the natural area of Rhode Island.

WOW! Stumbled upon this place thanks to my local library. I first want to say the staff here is amazing. They were kind and helpful. They are also all passionate about the place which is nice to see. The price you pay to go here is well worth it. There is TONS of different options depending on hiking level you are looking for. The pond was wonderful to sit by. They have a lot of programs and events as well. Defiantly recommend a visit.
McKaila C — Google review
Beautiful walking/hiking trails with a variety of scenery. I didn't mind paying to hike the trails as they were well manicured and offered great scenic views. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Nice area to picnic before entering as well. Chickens and gardens in front were great to view. Lovely little spot and so glad I stopped in.

Sweet Berry Farm is a 100-acre farm open from April to December, offering pick-your-own strawberries and blueberries in the summer and apple picking in the fall. The farm also features a cafe, store, and homemade treats like pies, cookies, and apple cider. Visitors can enjoy freshly made ice cream and relax at the indoor or outdoor seating areas. The farm provides a fun family day trip with various activities such as berry and pumpkin picking.
Charming farm! You step foot in a little piece of heaven! Loved the atmosphere! Very clean and friendly staff. I had some lunch and the sandwich was fresh and delicious, the lemon blueberry cake is to die for!!

Bought a delicious apple pie and a chocolate brownie. After dinner both the pie and brownie tasted so fresh it made the night complete. This country style store is clean, pretty and welcoming. So glad I experienced it. 👍💁🌹

Excellent picnic spot with plenty things t do for kids...pick apples, peaches,ch3ck out pumpkins check out chickens, have excellent ice cream
Sukrut P — Google review
Ambiance: The farm feels more like a charming little shop than a traditional farm. They sell plenty of name-brand foods alongside items made right on the farm, plus lots of cute home decor for purchase. Apple Cider Donuts: Only served on weekends, Apple Cider: Served over ice at the café. Refreshing and sweet, but honestly tasted a lot like grocery store apple juice. Death by Chocolate Cake: $7 and absolutely worth it! A generous slice, super moist despite being pre-sliced from the fridge. The thin layers of buttercream-style chocolate frosting made it rich but not overwhelming. SO YUMMY!!
Hannah L — Google review
Pros: Easy to access, quick visit, apples are delicious, the Cafe and building is free to enter Cons: 18$ for a small bag that can barely hold 8 apples, 50$ for a bigger bag- total ripoff. Bathroom cleanliness was subpar. No apple cider or alcohol served. I had a decent time because we went as a big group. Other than that, I probably wont return.
David P — Google review
Went apple picking with my girlfriend and we had a wonderful time! The people working there were friendly and kind (one woman was even going around offering to take pictures for people). The farm is clean and easy to navigate. We were sad that peach picking was closed, but we were able to buy some peaches inside along with some other delicious goodies. This was our second time at the farm and both experiences were great. We will most certainly be back!

Fun day with great friends. A beautiful day but too late in the season so pumpkins were scarce & the market is pretty small, not a lot to do.

Sweet berry farm.... just the shop alone would be worth the trip. All sorts of farm related fresh food, breads, pastries, cheeses, produce...I could spend a pay check they're just too buy 'one of each'. Donuts, coffee, cider... apples... pumpkins. Just wonderful.

Nestled in Rhode Island, the Newport Art Museum is a cultural gem that dates back to 1912. The museum's multi-building campus includes the historic John N. A. Griswold House and offers a diverse collection of over 3,000 works of American art from the late 19th century to contemporary pieces.
Love going to museums when im out of town. It's winter time so they were renovating a lot of the room. The front desk only asked for donations, so we didn't have to pay for an entrance fee. Lots of history in these walls and it's just a nice place to check out.

This is such a gem. The current interactive exhibit by Bobby Anspach is like no other — it’s rare to be able to engage with art so freely without long waits or crowds. The setting itself adds so much: a beautiful, calm space that makes the visit feel almost like a retreat. Oh and the kids loved the scavenger hunt!Honestly, the atmosphere alone is worth the trip, and the fact that they offer free parking is just the cherry on top. Highly recommend making this a stop — it’s an underrated gem compared to the usual Newport attractions.
Lena M — Google review
I loved this museum! There is a variety of art, so something for everyone. I went free with a museum pass but would have paid for admission - I'd love to come back.

Nice museum worth the visit. Thoughtful curation and exhibits in a beautiful environment that feels very personal. Perfect location in the heart of Newport shopping and dining.
C. K — Google review
I stopped by this cute little museum because I absolutely love seeing art. If you are a member, the entrance fee is free, but otherwise, it is $15 for adults, which, in my opinion, is quite steep for the amount of exhibits you get to see between the two buildings. You can pay the fee at either location and the staff is friendly and helpful. Both locations, including the grounds, are well organized and maintained. This place is definitely worth checking out while visiting the area.

Such a nice little museum in a really cool building! Absolutely loved the surrealism exhibit by Arghavan Khosravi that was there in March 2024. Staff was so welcoming and helpful!

Simmons Farm Organics is a sprawling family-run farm renowned for its commitment to cultivating heirloom and traditional produce, which they supply to farmers markets, their own farm stand, and wholesalers. The farm prides itself on offering top-notch eggs, pastured pork, beef, and seasonal delights. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the unique experience of cheese made right on the premises at their dairy.
An absolutely memorable experience! I’m so glad I stumbled upon the Goat Hike on Eventbrite. The owner was an excellent and insightful guide, making it feel great to support her family farm while enjoying such a unique adventure. My goat, Hazel, was sassy (likely due to her pregnancy) and kept me on my toes, but I loved every moment. I highly recommend this goat tour—it’s fun for all ages! Just note, the goats are strong, so kids may prefer the hike-only option. Be sure to wear hiking boots for the rocky terrain. The playful piglets were an added bonus! I’d definitely do this again.
Alysha — Google review
We went for the goat hike on New Years weekend and it was the most fun part of our trip! Definitely a must-do with family. It’s chilly, but you warm up quickly catching up with the goats. Definitely wear shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, and be prepared to be around a lot of goats! They are very gentle. I recommend hiking with a baby goat (ours was very diligent and easy to walk with) or a mini goat. The regular-sized goats are very strong and you will likely have to let go of your leash (encouraged to avoid falling into mud), which is no fun if the point was paying to hike with goats. You can still hike with the other goats and exchange goats with each other later on during the walk. I loved that we got to make pit stops to learn about the history of the farm, feed the goats and even see the tiniest piglets.
Samima H — Google review
Had a great time on this hike!! The hike is beautiful and, while the goats have a mind of their own and I did sometimes have to let go of my leash, I always managed to get back to my goat and have an amazing time! Highly recommend, especially in the morning, a great way to start the day!
Sandra K — Google review
Edited to add - the place on West Main Rd is now open again and it’s great!! The owner and her family are great as is Eve - the cow and all the cute goats!! It is listed as Simmons Family Farm now. Check it out - say Tina sent you 😂 I am only rating this low because prior to going there with my 3 children I read the reviews…. My kids thought it sounded great and we went. Well they were SHUT DOWN 😩 the parking lot was blocked off but I could see a woman with baby goats, so I pulled off West Main Road as much as possible but I was definitely blocking a lane of traffic and believe me everyone driving by let me know. 🫣😤 I got out and walked to the woman as quick as I could, I know the kids were hoping they could at least get out and see the goats quickly (I admit I don’t know what age it is safe to interact goats with people/children) but if it was safe I would have really appreciated it if the woman let us visit quick. I went over and asked her when they are open for people to visit goats etc. and she told me they aren’t the people who were there previously, they took over and they were getting things ready and should be ready in a couple weeks ..she told me to check on Facebook they would update it and she even spelled “Simmons farm” well Simmons farm Facebook, instagram, twitter, google, are all the same person…. The person who used to be there. Even the phone number listed is disconnected. I want to bring my kids back, we all want to see the baby goats but I can’t find updated information anywhere. Maybe change name or something so people can find information and not drive a half an hour each way to find out we can’t visit. I will update review if I ever find updated info.

A cute little place to call in to but not quite as described on the website. We booked the cuddling with goats experience that said it was half an hour in a barn with baby goats. They were all outside (which is fine) but it was just a case of going in a pen and there being goats around. They were cute and it was nice to stroke them but I wouldn’t say it was ‘cuddling goats’. You also have to climb over a wire fence using buckets to stand on in order to get in with the small goats so not suitable for anyone who wouldn’t be able to do so.
Lacey M — Google review
We visited Simmons farm for goat yoga. There were many people participating that morning. Participants walked the goats to the field were we would do yoga. The yoga instructor was very engaging and the yoga was relaxing and enjoyable. The goats were mostly full grown so they went round munching on plants while we did yoga. None of them climbed on the participants as they were too big. After the session, people had time to take pictures. I recommend this activity as it's relaxing and having the goats around was interesting. Don't be surprised if you have several goat buddies in your space or if they happen to poop on your mat. It's all part of the experience. Later the participants walked back with the goats. Most ran free off leash as they knew where they were going. Over all it was a fun experience.
Madeline M — Google review
An absolutely unique experience that feels like a different, simpler time and place. We chose the goat hike and it was incredibly memorable. The water views as you guide your named goat around are amazing and the information you get is plentiful and useful. Although my 4 yr old was too young to walk a goat on a leash(they are very strong) she is already talking about returning to see our pregnant goat's babies. Really great time for anyone who enjoys the outdoors and animals or doing something totally different! Would recommend 10 out of 10 times!
Brian S — Google review
What a cool place. The Simmons' are very down to earth and encourage enjoyment of their land and animals. Holding baby goats ranks high on my list for fun adventures and you can catch the family at local farmer's markets sharing their yummy organic fair. A June punk show has become a huge hit within our community, so watch local social media next year to see if you can join in the fun. Awesome experience!

Diego's is a casual and lively restaurant located in the heart of Newport's Bowen's Wharf, offering modern West Coast-style Mexican cuisine and a wide selection of specialty drinks. The restaurant provides indoor and outdoor dining options, including a rooftop deck, making it a popular choice for visitors looking to enjoy tacos, shareable Mexican snacks, and spicy margaritas. Diego's also offers a brunch menu with $8 specials such as tortas and huevos rancheros when accompanied by breakfast cocktails.
Food was glorious! We had burritos, nachos with guacamole and the fish tacos! All were super good. The filling in the burrito was generous and cleanly wrapped. Quite noisy though inside. Servers were very helpful and attentive.

Alex took great care of us! The pink lemonade was refreshing after walking the Cliff Walk. We started with the crispy calamari. My husband had the Barbacoa Burrito and I had the carne asada tacos. We were ravenous after the long hike and everything was delicious! 🤤 We also had the apple pie burrito and it was great. Not too sweet and a perfect dessert. We also had a nice view out to the marina which we love as we are both sailors. Definitely will come back to Diego’s when we are back in the area!

This place would get 5 stars only if we didn’t have to wait 15 mins to get a table while the place wasn’t packed! We had made a reservation, even though we didn’t need one. People arriving after us got tables faster! However the lady who was serving our table was very nice, 5 stars for her service! Food - we got the fried tofu tacos from the Vegan menu. Veggie nachos & tofu burrito & a Marg. It was all good. Loved the nachos.

This place is in a great location. We stopped here for a small bite and drinks before lunch in 3 hrs. It was brunch menu and we ordered the smoke salmon quesadilla. I was expecting a nice size quesadilla but I was wrong. Please see photo. Service started off really slow sitting at the bar. Total of 6 ppl at the bar. Both parties seated at the same time. After 10 min we were acknowledged. I forgot to mention someone stuck chewed up gum on the bar where we sat it was gross but finally the nice bartender cleaned it up and was embarrassed. He was the best part of our experience here.

Ate here twice during our stay in Newport. They have a full vegan option menu and the food was fantastic. We had the Cali Burrito, Fried Tofu Tacos, Vegan Nachos with Vegan Sausage, Spicy Butternut Squash Bisque, and the Street Tacos. Everything was excellent. Then there are the drinks which were delicious too. Staff was so friendly and made us feel like locals. Highly recommend.

They have a great time there! We order quite often, and it’s always fast delivery and even pick up! Pizza looks good, the guy at the register was in a good mood, overly good mood, suspiciously good mood... either he's new, or he's a serial killer, either way I'm likely safe, unless I'm not... at least I had a decent last meal.

You probably already know if you like Domino's Pizza or not, which I happen to very much, so I won't really dwell on that. (Does it change location to location? Maybe, I don't know) So this review is mostly about the service, I always pick it up and am always greeted and treated very nicely and professionally. Really great staff! It's not always the same person, but it's the same service, it just seems like the place is ran very well.

The service was really good. The guy was nice, but they got our order wrong. They forgot my hawaiian pizza.I like hawaiian pizza don't judge. And the crust on the pizza was not the same how it used to be. So the pizzas that we got it was okay.It was not really my fave, but I just hope next time. They don't forget my hawaiian pizza.

District Manager and store manager both rude and unprofessional. Delivery fee is too high to make it worth it. I tip less because they charge $6 to bring my pizza one mile. So unless your drivers got a raise or get some if that delivery fee, you're screwing your own employees.

Seafood restaurant
Anthony's Seafood is a well-established seafood market in Middletown, known for its wide menu featuring chowder and stuffed clams. The assembly of their lobster roll is considered an art form, with attention to detail such as using grilled buns to prevent sogginess. As a wholesale seafood provider, Anthony's supplies its products to its retail store, restaurant, and other local venues.
Visited in early October on a Saturday , lunchtime. Place was not busy, market had steady stream of customers. We sat on the patio and it was very nice, you order inside and they bring your food and bus the tables when you leave. We both had the Cod (Fish&Chips). Food came out hot and pretty quick. It was very good the batter was well done , the fries are just normal standard fries. The inside seating is booths with a generic decor, think "Everytown House of Pizza" vibes. Value was on par with other places like this. Overall a good lunch and we will keep this on our list of places to revisit.

I guess I will be the odd one out and say this place was not great. When I go to a sea food market, I’d hope for more “non-fried” options. We ended up with Lobster Roll, calamari and Cod. The Cod was not great. We loved the lobster roll, but the pile of fries are bigger than the roll, so it’s a $30 pile of fries? I’d have given 4 stars if I just went for lobster roll, but the rest was mediocre. There is no ambiance and the staff was all with a blank face and done with the day. Not a bad dinner, not a bad place, but not worth $100 for 2 adults and 1 child. I’m surprised we were recommended this and the reviews are so high.

A short drive from Newport, this rustic restaurant with its seafood market and restaurant offers excellent value for money fresh seafood. We checked out what was available at the fish counter before ordering some oysters, a Rhode Island clam chowder, a New England clam chowder, hot lobster roll and fried sea scallops. We also had a root beer and lager that were recommended by the cashier that were brewed in Rhode Island. There was no table service but staff were very friendly and efficient in clearing the dishes from the table. The food was all delicious and very fresh.

If you’re looking for a local nothing fancy, but delicious fried clam strips, or fresh steamers, then I’d check this restaurant out. Seating both inside and outside, as well a store that is selling fresh fish. Order first and then they’ll bring the food to your table.

If you're in Newport, outside the city center, or you don't like touristy places, this is the place for you. The place is very simple, with no waiters. You order your food and it's served on a tray, you can eat inside or outside. They also sell fresh fish, just like they cook it for you. The service is fast and organized. The staff are friendly and kind. Everything is well organized. I recommend it if you're looking for a simple, but good, meal away from the crowd.

I’m sure they get more customers through the place in a day with their order before you can be seated/semi self serve policy, but it really sets a negative mood on your first visit. I’d bet the waiting staff would really appreciate better tips. It is much more of a family environment than other options though. I had a dozen oysters followed by fish and chips. The oyster weren’t shucked or washed very well. Every single one was full of grit and chunks of shell. I thought they tasted ok, but my wife disagreed. Ya’ll also gotta do something about that fish fry batter, it is absolutely unremarkable. I tried it with salt, lemon, malt vinegar, tartar sauce, hot sauce, all five together, and none of it could overcome the bland emptiness I had when biting into it. It felt like my will to live was being drained with each bite. Luckily a decent dose of their brand of Cajun seasoning on the table made it a tiny bit more palatable. The fries were great! I’m sure the normal shucker must’ve been out sick so I might give them another try, but I’ll definitely skip out on that fish fry.

Wonderful food. I had a super tasty cream soup, as well as a hot lobster roll. The flavor was incredible, but I confess I found it small compared to the price of $27. I suggest an outside location would be super cool and pleasant.

I’ve been coming to Anthony’s over the last few years and the food is always delicious and fresh. It’s a no frills spot where you order and grab a table (or take out if you want). I love their calamari and fried scallops - these will always be my go to. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for fresh seafood and a fun spot. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Japanese restaurant
New Sea Shai Restaurant is a casual establishment in Newport, Rhode Island that offers a diverse selection of Korean and Japanese cuisine. The ambiance is both smart and relaxed, providing a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. This family-owned restaurant prides itself on its friendly service and has garnered a reputation for serving excellent sushi and Korean dishes. While the sushi pieces may be smaller in size, they are cut into eight per roll, ensuring a satisfying experience.
Sea Shai is most definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in the state of Rhode Island. The restaurant is quiet, small and intimate- it is, most of all, immaculate in its cleanliness. The cleanliness of the area, can also be observed in the food. The fish and ingredients are fresh, you can taste the difference! There are many options for sushi but also an array of appetizers, soups and select Korean dishes. We LOVE their specialty sushi and hot sake. Pricing is very reasonable for the portions and quality. Their service is friendly and discreet, they will not bother you a hundred times during your meal. Make sure to try their steamed pork gyoza (my favorite ap)

Good sushi and Korean in Newport RI area.. family owned and run, very friendly service. Sushi pieces were small but were cut into 8 per roll. Japchae was very good, lots of noodles and veggies, one of the better dishes I've had Kalbi was good, smaller portion, not as much flavor as I like.. But a good place to check out if you want Sushi or Korean in the area!

Nice, quiet restaurant with lovely servers. Unfortunately, the avocado crunch salad lacked any crunch, balance, and excitement, and the pajeon was underfried and doughy, lacking scallions. Overall disappointing flavors. 😔

Took my granddaughter there for here for her birthday and we all loved it. Very friendly staff and outstanding Korean and Japanese food. My granddaughter thought the fried Korean beef dumplings were to die for. She said we should come back at least once a month. Price was very reasonable for the amount of food we received. Deserves 5+ Stars.

American restaurant
Newport Vineyards & Restaurant is a sprawling 60-acre vineyard established in 1977, offering a range of experiences including a restaurant, cafe, marketplace, tasting room, and tank room. The culinary team at Newport Vineyards can assist with Thanksgiving dinner by providing various options such as cheese and charcuterie platters or complete meal packages. Visitors can sample the vineyard's wines at the Middletown winery through tastings and tours.
Me and my friends came on a Saturday and did the vineyard tour, for the money I don't think it was worth it. You got to choose 4 wines to taste, and it came with a free wine glass. Online it says the tour was between 30-75 minutes and it was only 20. Anyone could have walked into our tour since it was out in the open until the tasting I did see her ask people if they were part of it and she told them to go away. I also think our guide was a bit snippy and spent more times with other groups when it came to pouring the wine, maybe have another person helping next time to take the pressure off of her. The vineyard itself outside was beautiful to see. Adirondack chairs are free to sit in there on a fist come first serve basis or you can bring your own, there's tables you can stand at and eat. I got the 3 tacos and I thought they were good, my friend got the brisket sandwich and enjoyed them.

Such a great vibe! The live music on Wednesday was so nice, and they have so much space to hang out by the vineyard. Highly recommend doing the 5 piece cheese board, they are really amazingly curated! The Great White wine was very yummy, and the strawberry soda was absolutely incredible. Only thing is the personal pie we got was a little bland… we saw some sandwiches come out and those looked much better!

Okay- overall a gorgeous venue and great vibe . The game table and charcuterie stand was such a cute added bonus. We went on a Wednesday when there was live music and deals on flights. Beer better than wine. Food sub-par. If I had 1 suggestion for the kitchen it would be “salt is your friend” or “don’t be afraid of seasoning”- could really step it up if the seasoning was better. - also, upon making a reservation they asked for a picture but we were never greeted by name. It said so they could identify us upon check in but that personal touch never happened. I’d simply take that off your reservations if it won’t be utilized.

First time here, super cool venue and space. Definitely enjoyed hanging out and service was good. Food was fine. Not bad but not great. The cookie dessert was the most memorable item. I’d return but make my food focused around apps instead of the meals.

A shockingly rude staff member utterly ruined our special occasion visit on Friday, June 20th. I wish i had caught her name so that management can help her seek training on how to respectfully speak to customers and maybe take a hospitality class or 2. We drove over 3 hours and picked this specifically for the beauty of the vinyard and the raving reviews. We were celebrating a special event and gathered a group of friends from south NJ to up state NY here driving over 3 hours and were looking forward to enjoy the vineyard and take some group photos after the wine tasting. While taking group photos away from the private event (near the gorgeous vines, NOT near the sign/event area), one ofnthe coordinators confronted us with extreme aggression and disrespect. She berated us as if we were ignorant trespassers, verbally assaulted our group, and marched over to knock a sign clearly not pointing towards us – all while using a hostile, demeaning tone. This completely unnecessary hostility soured what should have been a perfect day. We were not upset about not being able to take picture but her disrespect is what upset us. She could have approached us niely and let us know that part was also restricted for the event and we would have been just fine moving along or she could have pointed us in the direction of another part of the vineyard instead of her disrespectful approach. Despite this jarring encounter, the restaurant itself was stellar: phenomenal food, fantastic wine tasting (great sweet/dry/semi-sweet selection), beautiful vineyard views, and wonderfully friendly restaurant staff/waitress. Excellence tragically overshadowed by one individual's appalling behavior unfit for hospitality.

Solid 3.5 stars. Reservations strongly recommended. Came on a weekend so it was very busy. Sat in covered porch which is right outside main entrance area. I think we would have preferred the terrace, which was still covered but set off to the side. Ambience is loud as they had a live band. I would have preferred a more quieter setting. Grounds were very pretty. Option to bring chairs and sit outside and order food. Gift shop is beautiful. Very few handicap spaces. Food was pretty good. Burger was lacking in flavor so I would recommend passing on the burger which is odd as other dishes had a great grill flavor. We had the platter that had an assortment of pretzels, homemade chips, tiny potato skins, candied bacon, and smoky wings. We enjoyed the platter. Also, had the steak skewers that were good. I enjoyed the Chardonnay and dry rose. Not sure I’ll be back but worth a trip to try.

Public golf course
Newport National Golf Club is a unique 18-hole public golf course that was once a 200-acre nursery. Designed by Arthur Hills, the links-style layout features expansive undulating fairways, strategically placed bunkers and water traps, and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. While some visitors praise the gorgeous course conditions and friendly staff, others express disappointment with the current clubhouse facilities and policies such as not allowing walking on the course.
Top 5 public golf courses in New England perfect conditions during early Nov must be nice during peak season, a little pricy but it’s worth it

A fun challenging (eg several long par 4s from the forward tee) link style course. The course conditions were outstanding. We (3) were the second group to tee off and finished within 4 hours (thanks to the foursome in front of us who asked us to pass through after the front nine). The clubhouse, on the other hand, was pretty outdated. Also there is no flush restrooms after the front nine. I will have to keep that in mind the next time I come ;)

Nice golf course! Long and open; but you can still lose balls in fescue. Greens roll nice and fast; but are not punishing. Course is well maintained. No driving range, but there is a net next to practice green to hit few balls to loosen up. When it’s windy, which it mostly is, it gets tricky!!!

Course was in great shape, and staff was friendly. Not the most scenic course or exciting design, so it's overpriced for what it is.
Zach S — Google review
Beautiful golf course. Terribly inhospitable to public players and wouldn’t recommend. I played with a large group first thing in the morning. We stayed on pace of play the whole time and finished in four hours. As we were the first group, the ranger was on us, aggressively and demeaningly, throughout the round - sitting at our tee boxes, continually warning us to speed up. Conditions were terrible and there was NO backup on the course. That we played in 4 hours when we couldn’t see the fairway in front of us through the fog on the front 9 is actually impressive. If this is how you treat public players, just don’t offer public tee times. The ranger’s behavior really impacted my group’s ability to enjoy the day.

I played here July 30, 2025. Being a public course, I did not expect much. I am traveling but always take my clubs. Well was I surprised. Absolutely a championship course and maintained extremely well. Greens, tees, and fairways were beautiful. Has a wide variety of holes. Staff is great and friendly.. They are adding 9 more holes so will have 27. Moving into beautiful new club house very soon. I belong to 2 private clubs so I know golf courses. Loved it Loved it!

Anytime Fitness Middletown is a highly regarded gym with an exceptional staff and well-maintained facilities. Members have achieved impressive fitness milestones with the help of dedicated personal trainers and a variety of classes. The gym offers 24/7 access, making it convenient for those with busy schedules. Additionally, the camaraderie among members creates a supportive environment for achieving fitness goals.
Yesterday, I had the most wholesome experience at this Anytime Fitness. I worked out at a different time than usual. It was mid-morning and it was an older crowd. One older gentleman had memory issues: I met him once, but he met me five times. I noticed the gym owner walking the floor, cleaning the equipment, and surreptitiously keeping an eye on this gentleman. When the customer finished his routine, he began to wander. The owner approached him. In a respectful manner, he asked the gentleman if he was finished. Upon getting an affirmative, he told the patron that he saw his daughter’s car in the parking lot. Would he like him to call her for pickup? Another affirmative. He called, helped the gentleman with his coat, and walked him out. Afterward, another customer commented. The owner spoke of the gentleman in such a caring manner that I got choked up in the middle of my set. When I’m a very old man still dragging myself to the gym, I hope I’m fortunate enough to patronize one owned by someone with as much class as Gabe at the Anytime Fitness in Middletown.

If I could give less than one star, I would. It's extremely difficult to get in touch with staff, and the facilities are not being maintained properly—the bathroom trash is often overflowing, and there's a strong urine odor that's unacceptable. I received my key fob over a month ago, but it was never activated, so I've essentially been paying for a gym I can't use. This is very disappointing. Please address these issues promptly.

I’m a HUGE FAN of Anytime Fitness and my trainer BRANDI NAVAS. My workouts 2X a week for strength training have made me STRONGER, LEANER, and HAPPIER. Plus I love seeing all my buddies who cheer me on. In 4 months I have shed 20lbs and inches. For the first time in 5 years, I am ready for summer! ☀️ 🏄‍♀️ 🚴

Don't waste your money on this gym, paying to work out weekly is absolute insanity and paying $10 every time you want to bring an extra person is nonsense. If your money is tight like mine, don't negotiate with their kind smiles. I hope this place goes out of business.

The gym is great with a nice variety of equipment and weights as well as a separate room where you can do floor exercises. Coach Matt is awesome and knows his stuff, and he really works with you to achieve your fitness goals. The classes are fun and varied while also pushing you to go hard. Overall, a great gym experience and I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a new gym.

Bathrooms are unclean , equipment is out of date . They are extremely scammy. They told me there would be no cancellation fee then charged me a 155 dollar fee for cancellation.Their excuse was that the person that handled my membership was fired.

Been a member almost 2 years now and I have to say this is a solid gym. Started at almost 330 lbs and cut down to about 225 lbs in the first year just before covid hit. They offer a lot and while I've lost it all on my own dieting and workout regiment they offer a great staff of coaches and classes. Equipment is always clean and well maintained so no complaints pre or post covid. Gained a bit too much thanks to covid but I'm back in and beginning the cut and building cycle. Might take them up on a trainer for my next phase. Still debating it though.

Taproot Brewing Co. offers a delightful experience with its delicious food and tasty brews. Visitors rave about the mouthwatering short rib slider, ooey-gooey dish with added bacon, and flavorful pesto. The beer is equally impressive, especially the Taproot Imperial Pumpkin beer which exceeds expectations with its smoothness and great notes. The knowledgeable staff provides excellent service, making the visit even more enjoyable.
The gift and wine shop is so cute and inviting and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food is so delicious. The vegetables are roasted in maple syrup and I ate all of them. I will come back again when I visit Newport.💙

This was our first time checking out the brewery part of Newport vineyards. It was a quiet day and there was lots of seating with great views through the windows the vineyards. Definitely recommend coming in the off season for quieter vibes. It’s a busy place in the warm months. They had a lot of great snack deals and a full menu when it’s the busy season. Their full pour for the Big Lebrewski was worth the trip!

Beer and wine choices are fantastic and universally delicious. We skipped apps and got the roast beef sub and the Saturday special, smoked beef ribs. Just dynamite. Delicious. Chefs allowed the ribs to shine instead of over seasoning. Well done!!! The sub was mouthwatering, as well. Looking forward to going back for a few drinks and try a few of the apps.

Went here for my bachelor party mid-Saturday. Arrived got a 11am reservation (opens at 11). Was seated upstairs and our waiter Dave was incredibly knowledgeable! We had many questions and he answered them well and had very good suggestions with a few free wine “samplers”. Had the Ooey-gooey with added Bacon and the pesto was AMAZING! Zuchinni app equally good. The calamari was the BEST calamari I have ever had!! Only complaint was that as the morning/afternoon became busier was that our waiter became overwhelmed with his assigned seating and didn’t check in on us as often as we would have liked- we were looking for more wine and water and had to wait about 20 mins to get him over to our table. I absolutely will come back but I wish y’all had more servers during the “Saturday rush”

Had a fantastic meal and beer tasting. I opted for the beer flight with four 5oz. pours. For lunch we did the $20 appetizer, lunch and dessert. The dessert was a little lame but eye bacon blue cheese burger was phenomenal. The ambiance, wait staff and location were great. I cannot wait to go back again.

Love the spot and the winery thing. However this is my second time coming on a music night and the service is just awful. I came in a sat with no one coming to the table for almost fifteen mins. Had to ask several servers if they were my waiter until a waitress finally came over. Ordered my full meal with pretzels as an appetizer. Because they were going to be lightly salted I asked the waitress to bring me salt before the food came. Never saw her again for thirty mins. Good came and asked the busboy for salt. Nothing. Asked another person for salt and they brought me an empty salt shaker. Asked busboy to change that out and brought me a grinder which I applied to my pretzels but it was fine ground pepper. Finally demanded they send the waitress over and she ordered another pretzel. Through all of this I finished my glass of wine and wanted another. Just for fun started a timer on my phone. Had to begin asking people to find my waitress after 10 plus mins. After over twenty of sitting with no waitress and no drink I went to the bar and ordered a beer. Similar adventures with the check. Too bad because could be a great place.

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's is an iconic, well-established fast-food franchise recognized for its delicious hamburgers and crispy fries. This long-standing chain has gained popularity due to its ability to serve hot, promptly prepared meals that are satisfyingly substantial. The service provided via the drive-thru was exceptional.
Had an absolute horrible experience here today. We did a mobile order, get there and they can’t find it. They say their machine is broke so it’s not coming through, they make us reorder our food at the second window and PAY AGAIN. They told us they would refund us but did not. They asked us what our order was 15 times with 15 different people and we just kept telling them the same thing over and over. We were in line for 15 minutes and people kept beeping at us because they were being absolutely incompetent to make a simple $20 order. An absolute joke of a location.
Daniella S — Google review
Can’t believe I’m actually reviewing McDonalds, but here we go… placed a mobile order on 08/16/2025. - First red flag: Drive-thru took 15 mins with 3 cars. - When I got to the window, there was zero customer interaction at drive-thru. No acknowledgment. I get it - it’s McDonalds, but still… I felt like I was annoying them by showing up. - They forgot part of my order - I didn’t realize until a few mins after I left the drive-thru - I went back through the drive-thru, explained I was missing an item, and referenced my mobile order code. The worker argued the code didn’t exist and that I wasn’t missing anything… - Proceeded to drive-thru pickup window and showed them my order receipt. Lady didn’t want to look at me - just simply handed me over the missing item and remained with a scowl on her face. Horrible customer service. Hire people who shred an ounce of work ethic and can actually communicate with the customer. My worst experience at this location.

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! It's been a number of years since we've gone to this particular McDonald's because they would consistently screw up the orders, since it's been quite a while since we've been there we figured we would give it a try again hoping that those issues have been resolved. Well it's even worse! I should have walked out when I first walked in,the first two people out of the three ahead of us were complaining about getting the wrong orders, yet I gave it a shot anyway, after waiting 25 minutes we did get some food, just not what we ordered. When I got the bag of wrong food (before I knew what was in it)I asked where are my drinks?, an ice coffee and a ice tea? They seemed even more confused than they already have been. The girl who took my order asked to see my receipt and said there's no ice coffee on it,even though she asked me how I want my ice coffee and punched something onto the screen when ordering, she gave me the ice tea and I didn't want to wait even longer to probably get more wrong stuff again so we split the ice tea and ate food that we didn't order.I don't care how many years go by,I will not go back again. I believe that they have been able to stay open because of the large number of tourists that come to that area who don't know any better. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED AND GOOD LUCK!
Tom F — Google review
Door dashed and they literally only put drinks in the bag even though the receipt was printed to the side of the bag with our whole order. And then another night we asked if we could get a milkshake and she said no you have to get it with a combo so we went online and ordered it so it wasn’t a combo and just the milkshake and then when we pulled up to the window we got our order we asked for at the radio thing and then we also said we have an online order and she said she wouldn’t give it to us because we have to wait like all the others for the food (even though we had been waiting in line for 20 minutes) and then once she saw it was just a milkshake she finally agreed to make it.
Emma S — Google review
I never thought I'd be writing a review for a McDonald's, but here we are. This visit was so spectacularly wrong that I had to share. My order was simple and one I've memorized from frequenting the establishment: - Double Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese - plain - 10-piece Chicken McNuggets - no sauce - Large French Fries - Large Coke Zero What I received was a completely different meal: - A single cheeseburger (not plain lol) - A medium Coca Cola (not a Coke Zero) - A medium fry - And to top it off, they forgot the nuggets entirely until I asked for them at the drive-thru window—and even then, they included a dipping sauce I didn't want. It's one thing to get a single item wrong, but for every single component of a simple order to be incorrect is baffling. McDonald's isn't a Michelin-star restaurant, but you expect a certain level of accuracy, and this fell far short.

Be careful if you doordash order! This is the third time I order and always my order has delivered incomplete. Besides the restaurant never fix it the issue, I order only items and didn't get complete, without spoon, without straw, without napkins.

I’ve been there twice this week once they screwed up the order with the chicken nuggets, today I ordered the hamburger fries and chicken nuggets and I received in the bag through the drive-in. Two chicken nuggets in a fry. These people are screwed up as you can get, please think about it when you may want to use the other McDonald’s.

This place says it’s open at 5 and you can see employees in there at 530 just sitting around but they don’t answer the drive thru and just sit there and watch out the window when you leave.

It's the usual you can expect from Marshalls, but the clothing selection isn't for me. My wife finds good items from time to time. They also have a big shoe section at this store.

Marshall's in Middletown is an easy access location. Staff are usually friendly, and most I've interacted with have a great sense of humor. Prices are great. If you need dog toys (cheapest around) or decorative items, this is your one-stop shopping location. There's also typically lots of good sale items on the racks and new shoe prices are awesome.

BJ's Wholesale Club is a membership-only retail chain that offers bulk groceries, electronics, and more in a warehouse-like setting. Customers praise the helpful and efficient staff at the customer service counter. The store is known for being a one-stop shop to fill up your pantry with bulk items, especially during challenging times like the Covid pandemic. In addition to groceries, BJ's also offers a great selection of pre-prepared food, electronics, toys, clothing, and bakery items including custom order birthday cakes.
Last week I ordered 3 deli sandwich rings for a neighborhood function. The deli staff was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The sandwich rings exceeded my expectations with generous amounts of meat and cheese and presented beautifully at our function. I would highly recommend this option if you're looking to feed a crowd.

Coming from west of here; I was very sad to see that this was my only choice for larger/bulk purchases. Been coming with reluctance now for over three years. The only part of my experiences has been check out wonder Denise- she literally is the only reason I’ve been coming Today was probably the worst day so far. App is not working…again- mind you it’s Saturday morning Before thanksgiving The folks are nice enough but it it NEVER convenient App is always slow No one but Denise knows how to use the express check out contraption The optical department has already been reviewed by me- so has their tire shop. From now on I will drive fifty miles into the sun to go to Costco This place is a joke.

Was there this weekend and super stoked about cheap shorts to be able to work around the yard in. They happened to be in the "men's" section. Had the experience from the boomer white man folding clothes...who is always folding clothes and typically spending a good deal of time gossiping loud enough about his opinions of the world for customers to hear decided today was the day to teach me about women shopping in the men's clothing aisle. Allow me to set the scene. Super excited trying to decide between a medium and a large. Asking no one...man volunteers.." You have hips, so you can't go with the size you think because men's pants aren't meant for hips". Ya don't say...Then without further prompting he comes over to where I am, a whole table away, to help me find shorts that I didn't ask him to help me find. First off, I have had hips for like 30 years, and have been choosing some men's clothing options for like 20. 2ndly, I don't need reminding. 3rdly, no one asked for your input. 4th.How my hips do or don't fit into the size I choose or from the section I choose them from is literally none of your business. Please go back to folding and perhaps less talky and more cultural competency would be great. Thanks, yours truly, Hips McGee!

I get so tired of this ill rule applying place. I do wonder if its my skin color and gender that give me the privilege of waiting in a line at this place that grows down to the meat section but others get to freely cut in front of you and they will service them at the registers while you and everyone in that line have been waiting. I'd like to start being paid for this "privilege"

Ratings for BJs Went to checkout and the young man with dark beard seemed angry bc I asked him to help weigh the peaches.he angrily retorted and mocked me by going over to the other customer and did a demonstration of what a “pack”was” and how I must have taken them out of the pack. Then he asked me if “I wanted them or not “ very direspectfully I walked to speak to the mgr and he took the peaches working I’d J wanted them Hopefully this is not a sign of what. To come I e always had such a nice experience at BJS and let’s hope it stays that way!

I just became a member a few months ago, and I have only been in a handful of times. My first time shopping there, the woman at the register was horrible to my family and I because we had “too much” in our cart. I apologized and told her that this was our first time there and we’ll be sure not to have so much in the cart next time, even though it wasn’t even a full cart. She scoffed at my polite response, and I thought that was incredibly rude. Yesterday, I went to the deli and asked for shaved ham. I received the worst attitude from the woman working. She rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed. After she handed me my food, she again very rudely said “anything else?” I responded “no thank you, I’ll go to shaws” as I’m walking away she YELLED “Have a FANTASTIC day!” If you are miserable, find a new job. Taking your issues out on customers is so unprofessional and rude. I would like to add that two of my neighbors work here and they are sweet, delightful people.

Went to this location like I do at least 2-3 a month usually have no problems, but on Friday Dec. 3rd was different. I went in to buy my bulk products like I usually do, you know drinks body wash I’m a family of 7. I go to the lines the one with the cashiers where busy so I proceeded to self check out with my cart. As soon as I scan my card the “manager” she called her self told me to go to a cashier I told her I was all set I already started to ring my stuff. Then she gets a attitude and tells me I need to put everything on the belt after I scan never was told there before as I go with cart full everytime. Next thing I know I have 3 workers behind me watching me over my shoulder definitely not keeping the 6ft distance touching all my items. My boyfriend has severe ptsd so he was feeling very uncomfortable with everyone behind us and started to record her actions, apparently she didn’t like that so she said she was going to call the cops on us . I just had a c section a month ago so I dress in sweatpants to be comfortable I feel like I was being judged by what we where wearing and how we looked. The older lady told my boyfriend she was glad she didn’t have to go home with him, definitely Very unprofessional, and very judgmental. I will not return to this location again.
Elizabeth B — Google review
I have no idea what is going on with this woke world ideology BJS has taken up but is there a reason when people go to use the self scan checkout you get harassed for doing so? I am sorry I am not cognitively challenged but using the radar gun on all my large and small items should not get me harassed by employees when I am paying for all them. If BJs has a theft problem they need to start prosecuting people or if people don't purchase their items upon check out it is there problem to go back and pay for them, not MINE. In all the years this store has been opened I have never dealt with so many issues with staff as lately. I have never walked out, not once since it opened without paying for all my items from the self scan checkout using the radar gun if other people have issues purchasing their goods deal with them personally. I am capable of shopping on my own and buying with my money the things I want to have if others have a problem go talk to that person, not me.

The Museum of Newport History & Shop, located in the classic 1772 Brick Market building, offers a comprehensive overview of Newport's rich history. Visitors can explore diverse exhibits covering topics such as the city's 17th-century English settlers, religious tolerance, and the subsequent influx of African Americans, Jews, Quakers, Irish, Italians, Greeks, and Portuguese. The museum also provides insights into the Gilded Age through a reproduction 1890 omnibus tour of Bellevue Avenue.
Lots of historical books and souvenirs from newport. We actually only visited the shop, the museum is upstairs and it costs $5. You can also book some walking tours there. We did the rum tour. Learned about how alcohol was treated during the last 300 years and had a rum cocktail at the end at the stoneacre Inn. It was interesting and the guide was very professional. We had a good time even though it rained on the day of the tour.

I visited Newport on a cruise. It was a wet autumn day. Whilst i left my wife to visit the stores I headed to the museum and fund they offer walking tours. I am fascinated with history so for me this was a must. The guide was pleasant but not charming. He was generally knowledgeable. The walk was at a gentle pace and lasted maybe an hour. It was a good introduction to the city centre. But we did not enter any of the public buildings. After the tour ended I took myself off to investigate further.

We had scheduled a 10 AM guided bike tour. We arrived right at 10 and there was no one at the business even though it was open with the bikes, and office supplies unsecured. Tried to call the business phone number but it just rang into building with no one to answer. Another couple arrived while we were waiting for an 11 AM appointment and they also tried calling. After waiting almost 90 minutes I left a note and left. I finally got ahold of someone in the afternoon. They made no attempt to call or email me even though they had my contact info. When I did call them I asked if we could reschedule for next day. Fortunately there was a very nice woman named Kyle who gave us a nice tour that day. She only said they were short staffed but didn’t really seem to know why no one had shown up for our scheduled time. I believe the owner of the business should reach out to me to offer an apology and partial refund.

We had a great time while biking on your equipment in Newport, Rhode Island in Septemb er. The bikes were well maintained and staff was very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about where to ride in the area. The cost was very affordable and the rental time allotted was generous so that we were able to relax and pedal around at our own leisurely pace without having to worry about returning the bikes. Even though we returned the bikes early we had plenty of pedal time. The only negative was the traffic. As the morning progressed it got busier, so plan to bike early if possible. This is not something the folks could do anything about of course. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely rent from these nice folks again. Thank you!

Kingscote is a historic Gothic Revival mansion in Newport, built in 1839 and later expanded and redesigned by McKim, Mead & White. It was one of the earliest summer cottages commissioned by wealthy southerners to escape the heat before the Civil War. The house features period furnishings and unique architectural elements such as cork ceilings and Tiffany glass windows.
Underated Newport mansion. Beautiful restoration with loads of original period pieces. Written description of each room guides you through. Although not as opulent as The Breakers or other Newport mansions, it is really worth the stop to get transported back in time.
Adamltw — Google review
Kingcote is one of the older Mansions that was slated to be knocked down and was rescued from the 1950-1960 (town decision?). Great woodwork and a lot of original artifacts. Grounds have a European Fernleaf Beech Tree thats very rare in US, by my experience. Doesnt seem prone to Beech tree diseases. Part of Newport Mansion Preservation and worth getting 2 person memebership that also allows a guest. No private tours for Kingscote typically (rare).

Great mansions to visit prior to the Breakers. Very nicely preserved Gothic style home with amazing wood details. Tickers are not sold on site so you can either purchase ahead of time or online with your phone.

The house is beautiful nonetheless. Needs better signs to guide visitors. Has only one bench to sit outside, I would definitely invest in buying more. Gardens are plain. Old lady selling tickets by entrance door is very nice if you are white.

What a lovely old home. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Kathy. She did a great job highlighting the many interesting details of this stately residence. While not one of the great stone mansions Newport is so well known for, it is still an intriguing glimpse into the life of a Guilded Age family. The guided tours are quite nice in these smaller homes and the guides are very knowledgeable. Worth the time.

The National Museum of American Illustration is an institution dedicated to showcasing the finest works of American illustration from the mid-19th century to the 1950s. The museum's collection includes pieces by some of the most renowned artists in history, such as Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, and Violet Oakley. The museum offers free guided tours every Friday that shed light on the stories behind the images and how they've shaped American culture.
This museum houses a nice collection of illustration art. The museum itself is in one of the Newport mansions so you feel like you're getting a 2 for the price of 1 outing. The history of the mansion is detailed along with the art. After paying, you watch a brief introductory movie which gives a general overview of the collection. Then each visitor gets a tablet with headphones which serves as a guide as you walk the rooms and look at the art. It's great because you can read or listen while you walk along at your own pace. This is helpful because the mansion is crammed full of artwork and it gives the visitor time to absorb it all. One of the most extraordinary aspects of the experience is how close you are to all of the art and furniture. It's very much honor system based as far as not touching the art. While I respected the no touching, I LOVED that I was able to step up close and get to see all of the details in the majority of the pieces. If you are in Rhode Island, I highly recommend stopping by this amazing museum.

'A Personal Plea to Reconnect with My Uncle' My name is Jake Cutler, and I am the nephew of Laurence Cutler. My uncle Laurence played a significant role in painstakingly renovating this property and building this museum. We have fond memories of visiting Judy and Laurence at their home, attending events, celebrations, and private family gatherings. Since around 2021, I have been unable to contact my Uncle Laurence, and it's been about four years now. No one in the Cutler family has been able to reach him. His name has been removed from the website and all related content. I am reaching out to Judy Cutler, Jennifer Goffman/Greenawalt, and Jon Greenawalt with a heartfelt plea: Please, please let me see my uncle again. You know my number, my email, and we are connected on LinkedIn. I am more than willing to come to RI at your convenience. Please let me see my uncle. Thank you for considering my request. Sincerely, - Jake

This “museum” has been temporarily closed for 4 years. Seems like this purchase of this fine building might have been acquired for a financial tax advantage while the owner lives there or uses it for personal storage. Someone should investigate this “museum” and its owner.

Thank you to the Cutler's for creating this magnificent collection of outstanding American Illustration artwork! It is amazing to stand in front of some of the most iconic illustration of the past 100 years. Judy and Lawrence Cutler have created a magnificent venue to view a fabulous collection of American illustrators. Everything about this mansion is perfect and the audio tour that took us through the impressive Vernon Court Mansion was delightful. My mom and I took a mother daughter trip and this by far was the highlight of our vacation here in Newport. We were lucky enough to meet Lawrence and Judy and they sure were special. We felt so honored and lucky to pal around with them the remainder of our time there. This was an experience that my mom and I will always remember and treasure. This museum will far exceed your expectations and is a must see!! ❤️

To be honest, the price was kind of steep for the amount you're seeing. There is no seating the entire time you're walking through which I'm inclined to think is a mistake. Not very wheelchair accessible. There are steps everywhere. But the artwork - which is the main reason behind the museum itself - as always was fantastic.

What a wonderful surprise this was... the museum rooms were grande and all the best illustrators from days gone by were displayed in a wonderful walking tour through Vernon Court...most notably was Norman Rockwell and others...Parrish, Pyle, Wyeth. It was very well done and well worth the time...add an extra star for the staff !! Sorry, no photos allowed.

I put a picture of all that was ordered although I can not name them all. I had the salmon which was delicious but looked a little lonely as served. If there was any shortcoming at all I would say that the menu is a bit limited. Take a look 👀 online and make sure that they have what you like. If you do visit I am sure that you will enjoy the experience. Your mileage may vary.

Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant in Newport, RI is a lively and welcoming spot that blends classic charm with a fun, casual vibe. Located on Thames Street, it’s perfect for families, date nights, or just grabbing a drink with friends. The menu is huge think award winning burgers, fresh seafood, pastas, and even a lobster roll voted one of the best in America. Inside, the decor is packed with antiques, sports memorabilia, and even an old Chevy truck, giving it a nostalgic feel. The staff are friendly, the portions are generous, and the energy is always upbeat. It’s a true Newport favorite.

We stumbled upon The Brick Alley Pub thanks to a great recommendation from our trolley driver, Rob—and what a find! This place is bursting with eclectic charm, packed with fun antique memorabilia on every wall. It’s like walking into a cozy museum-meets-pub—there’s something to admire in every corner. The bar area is separated so perfect if you have small Kids too! Despite being pressed for time (we had a return water taxi scheduled for our cruise), our server was incredibly accommodating. We let her know we had only an hour, and she made sure everything was smooth and efficient without making us feel rushed. We started with their famous beef nachos, which were absolutely delicious—layers of crispy chips, melted cheese, and perfectly seasoned beef. My friends opted for the all-you-can-eat salad bar, which was impressively stocked with a huge variety of fresh toppings, dressings, and sides. A true salad-lover’s dream! I ordered their award-winning Lobster Salad Sandwich, served cold as recommended. It did not disappoint—light, flavorful, and loaded with fresh lobster meat. It came with classic coleslaw and a side of sweet potato fries, which were perfectly crispy and just the right amount of sweet. Before heading out, we also grabbed a few tee-shirts for our husbands—a fun way to support local businesses and take home something memorable. Little souvenirs like that always make vacations last just a bit longer when you’re back home. If you’re in Newport and looking for a spot that’s full of personality, local flavor, fantastic bar area and great food, I highly recommend stopping in at The Brick Alley Pub. It’s now one of my favorite hidden gems from the trip!

Don’t let the ugly yellow awning fool you, this place is a must-visit! Portions are huge and food is delicious. Whether it be nachos, fried mozzarella, turkey club, fish and chips or a burger, you can’t go wrong! There is something for everyone. Service is also great, never have to flag down wait staff for refills, etc. I recommend making a reservation - Thames St. is a very busy area and there is usually a wait.

When it was our turn to have a break for lunch from our tour, we decided to stop by and try them out. It sure did not disappoint and it is one of the bigger restaurants in historic Newport. We were seated almost right away and our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered food and it arrived pretty fast. We got the cheeseburger and the smoked turkey club, both delish, fresh and tasty. A good option in historic Newport.

Food & Drinks were excellent. Great Caesar Salad, Great Ahi Tuna etc. Drinks were proper, unlike other places we stopped at along the Thames. Super nice Staff... Lilly was incredible

Mizu Japanese Steak House is a restaurant with an extensive sushi bar that offers a variety of options from a la carte sushi to 24 Chef Special Rolls. The food is great, and the service is attentive and welcoming.
I look forward to this meal every week. The owners and staff are awesome. The food and atmosphere are great. Highly recommend the fillet migon. Cici and Steven are the best people you will ever meet. Always a great experience.

Brought the fam here not really knowing what to expect, but we were impressed. Food came out super fast and hit the spot. Everyone working there was super nice too. If you’re in Newport, definitely worth checking out!

Had a really nice time here for a family birthday dinner. Food was good, a little over priced but good. Our chef was fun and energetic. Servers were nice and prompt. Only negatives were they messed up two of the kids orders by not keeping the noodles and chicken plain. Also they promised the kids balloon animals but that never happened. Overall if you’re craving hibachi Mizu will scratch that itch.

The food was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Our chef was extremely entertaining and kind. The restaurant gave off a very authentic Japanese experience.

this is my favorite place on earth. i come here at least twice a week! it’s a slice of heaven. i have never had a bad experience here, the staff incredible. the food, yummy, the staff amazing, the whole thing perfect. i love it here.

Went in over an hour before close. Were extremely rude - over our shoulders the entire time, trying to take our order the minute we opened our menus, telling us they were bringing boxes as we were actively eating. Genuinely had us out in 25 minutes and proceeded to lock the door as we walked out. We’ve never had this bad of an experience here. Do not advertise that you are open until 10 if you are going to be hostile to your customers and still expect a fantastic tip.

Mizu is a fantastic local spot here in Middletown. Good lunch specials, good lunch, and their hibachi is a fun time. Places like these are great regular restaurants for locals, and if you're visiting and craving sushi, it's a excellent choice.

Best Wendy’s I’ve been to in years. Dashawn is the epitome of good customer service. Food was great, freshest I’ve had in years. Front end was spotless. If I am ever back in Rhode Island this will be my go to spot for a quick lunch

Absolutely horrible customer service!! Went through drive thru with my 4 kids tonight around 9 ordered 2 biggie bags , a cheeseburger on the side and a small drink received the 3 drinks and 1 bag I asked if everything was in there she said yes stupidly I believed her..gave her exact change and she didn't give me a receipt..when I pulled off 1 had so much food missing like $10 worth missing..I go to pull around there's so many cars now so I had to go inside..I tell her I'm missing food she's staring at me like a deer in headlights she ignored me went to make other orders and then said let me see your receipt I tell her I don't have one because I wasn't given one...she is not helping me what so ever to get the missing food just staring at me.... I said if you're not going to do anything about it I'll give you the food and drink i have and I want my money back ...after a debate she gave me the money back ...don't you think it would have been easier to just say no problem miss let me get that food YOU PAID FOR so sorry about that!? Awful management!! Good thing I don't live anywhere near there would hate for that to be my local late night joint!

Had very mixed results for attempted ordering at this Wendy's. Good help is hard to find, which seems to be evident here. Unfortunately, it's the only local location, so you get what you get. Don't take my word for it. Read some reviews. I've personally waited over 40 minutes in drive- thru line to be told they don't have the nuggets I had ordered. Zero empathy or care from the server. I'm sure this could be a great location. And that not all of the staff are the same, but it might be worthwhile finding a few new friendly and qualified attendants.
Jeff F — Google review
When we visited we did the drive-thru. We only ordered two small frosties and it took the guy about five whole minutes to get our order ready. The restaurant was empty and we were the only people in the entire location. However you can never be a Wendy's Frosty. Prices and food are the same as any other Wendy's location but the service could have been better considering that we were the only people in the entire location.

The late hours drive thru employee makes my day every time! Usually in after a 12 hour food service work shift and his humor and good attitude always adds a good vibe to a long night!

Worst wait ever. 20 mins. nobody here cares. Got tired of waiting with no answer. Everyone was on their cell phones. I will not be back manager needs to fire staff.
Richard B — Google review
I ordered a cheeseburger with everything on it except for mayo and they gave me a cheeseburger with nothing on it but mayo. And I ordered it on the app so no one could have misheard me. By default all of the toppings are selected and I de-selected mayo but this happened. Pretty bizarre.

Legendary wharf in Newport This is why you really come to Newport. This part of town is really nice full of shops & cafes and fabulous to stroll along. We really enjoyed it here and ended up doing a bit of shopping in the boutiques. The food options where also great. Overall a definite plus to visit this wharf. We highly recommend it!

Our sailing trip was pure joy from start to finish! The entire experience was **absolutely perfect** – the stunning views on the sparkling water, the gentle breeze, and the feeling of freedom gliding across the waves were unforgettable. What truly made it exceptional was the **incredibly friendly** and professional crew! They were welcoming, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt safe, comfortable, and had a fantastic time. Their passion for sailing was contagious! Whether explaining points of interest, sharing sailing tips, or simply sharing stories with big smiles, their warmth made the trip. The boat was immaculate, the atmosphere was relaxed yet exciting, and the whole outing felt effortless and luxurious. If you're looking for a fun, memorable, and perfectly executed sailing adventure with the friendliest crew imaginable, this is it! We couldn't stop grinning!

Love the festivals at Bowens wharf. Right in the center of Newport. On the water with bars and food, perfect location. Oyster fest and the Seafood fest are a blast with live bands and seafood. Shout out to Dudemanbro and Timeless, two of our favorite bands. Fourth of July is so nice with the fireworks and celebrations. Love taking the sailboat and rum runner sunsets tours. Great stop on the bike tour! Shout out to the Landing for the great live music and water views. So many places to explore and try out on the wharf. Parking is always a challenge in Newport, highly recommend taking bikes from bike path or ferry from Jamestown.
