Wilson's Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor is a vintage soda fountain and eatery that has been a beloved spot in Ephraim since 1906. It offers a nostalgic experience with its old-fashioned soda fountain, jukebox music, and classic sundaes. The menu features flame-broiled burgers, an array of ice cream flavors, and even options for kids.
The entire experience was delightful! Service was good, they have a decently sized menu, and their ice cream is the star of the show. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area! Be aware that the ice cream portion sizes are huge, so save room! We each got our own scoops but easily could’ve shared.

8/21/25 - The ice cream treats are fantastic!! The food itself is average, but service is friendly and attentive. Definitely an ice cream shop first and foremost, lots of flavors and a variety of treats to choose from. We had root beer freeze's this time and they were absolutely delicious. We always stop here when we come to Door County and it's always busy, but worth it. Hard to find parking too, but worth it. Inside and outside seating. Close to the water and nice views.
Thor D — Google review
The cutest little diner! Had the most hot and delicious reuben. I’m not a big root beer fan, but Wilson’s root beer was the best I’ve ever had. It tasted like a root beer float! We got an applesauce for our baby and I think we ended up liking it more than her. Best applesauce I’ve ever had 😅
Natalie T — Google review
Honestly the highlight of our door county trip and an absolute must-go for anyone in the area. With an extensive, classic menu, it would be hard to go wrong with choosing Wilson’s for a meal. Everything we had was fantastic (both the food and ice cream drinks), the service was great, and the food came out fast. I especially appreciated the multi-functionality of the menus, and the history of the restaurant on the reverse side. Clearly a staple for a century and a quarter.
Raegan G — Google review
The food is ok here. We got lucky and beat the rush and wait for a table. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress was very nice. Food prices are decent. A lot of people come here for the ice cream. Very nice atmosphere, even a jukebox. I would come back here again. The hours seem fluctuating, and ice cream is open longer than the kitchen for about a hour I believe. The ice cream is expensive, but when we tried to go back to get some in the middle of the day it was closed

Coney dog with cheese and French fries is bland and a waste of money. Fries come with the coney but they are coated with coney sauce that only taste like a cooked bland bean; so the fries were inedible for me and cold too. The root beer is average for homemade. I’m a sprecher lover. Also patio full of bees; which is ironic since they added screens to help decrease the bees per the history menu. Weirdly , no dogs allowed on the outdoor patio! Also NOT BABY STROLLER FRIENDLY inside or outside. Unfortunately as first times we were shouted at soon as we entered the door of the diner with our sleeping infant in the Donna Stroller ( it’s a car seat with wheels attached and can be converted to stroller). No sign on the door about it and no hostess outside to inform us either. They were very rude about it even when he collapsed it down into a car seat they said we couldn’t have it inside. So we attempted to go to the patio and they yelled at us to go back out the front because it was a service area to the side door; if it was a service area they didn’t mind people going in and out of it to get to other booths, outdoors, or to the restrooms. Then once on the patio the waitress started to inform us of the no strollers on the patio rule when the woman from inside come out yelling about how we needed to put our infant in a high chair. We should have just left but I love old dinners. My husband didn’t order food since he was upset that we had to take our sleeping baby out of the car seat and take it back to the car. When he returned she was of course still sleepy and upset and she wasn’t her typical easy going self. The root beer was good but the bees were an issue so I used napkins and a hair tie to try and help. Then the coney came and it was so deflating as it tasted like a plain baked bean. No flavor. So due to the hospitality and then over priced bland hot dog we skipped the ice cream that was $$$ pricey. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with young children or dogs. Maybe they have something else good. Our waitress was kind and tried to apologize and thanked us for understanding and cooperating with the stroller/car seat rule. You could tell she knew how rude the woman was from inside the store to us. It felt like she was chasing after us to be sure we weren’t served with a baby car seat. We also ate at 3pm on a weekday so it wasn’t crowded and the car seat fits under the table with its wheels like a chair. It’s. Ery compact which we love. We do recommend the Ice Cream Factory as a better alternative to a long time running diner with ice cream. Also they have plastic straws which was odd for being on the lake; so not environmentally conscious. Also the napkins are in a cute dispenser but you end up with so many trying to pull them out.

Perfect 10. So cute, so fun, so busy. We'll worth the wait. I could hang out here for hours just photographing the malts and ice cream treats. So pretty. Im not 100% sold on the food but who cares because let's face it. Your there for dessert. Staff is also very professional and friendly.

First time to Wilson's and the turtle sundae was delicious! Love the number system. No room at the picnic tables outside, so we walked across the street. (We found a $1.00 off coupon on an advertisement in a travel brochure stand at The Orchards Golf Course.)

The award-winning Old Post Office Restaurant offers delicious down home cooking in a unique historic building. This restaurant is known for its delicious breakfast menu as well as its outdoor kettle fish boils.
We have been to Door County twice now. The fish boil at the Old Post Office was on our 'must repeat' list. We (2 adults and a teen) enjoyed the pre-meal excitement of watching the food being cooked outside in the kettle over the fire. The fireball is always exciting! The food includes 2 significant fish steaks, potatoes, onions, cole slaw, and 3 kinds of fresh bread... with lots of melted butter. There is homemade cherry pie for dessert. (A la mode costs extra). Our server was pleasant. We appreciated that she de-boned the fish for us. All in all, a fantastic and very filling dining experience.

The Old Post Office fish boil is a must-do for us every time we’re in Door County. Watching the boil-over is always such a fun tradition, and the staff make the experience special by explaining the process. The whitefish is fresh and delicious, with hearty sides of potatoes, onions, and bread. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere make it a classic we always look forward to.

Delicious breakfast spot with a dog friendly patio. The views are so nice from the outdoor seating area. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy and delicious. The classic eggs, sausage and sourdough toast were all very fresh and tasty as well. Highly recommend to start your day here.

A must-do dining experience! My visit to The Old Post Office Restaurant - Fish boil was absolutely fantastic. The entire experience felt so unique—it was much more than just a meal. Watching the fish boil while hearing the history behind it was both entertaining and informative. And the food itself was incredible. The fish was as fresh and delicious as it gets, don't forget to add the table spice and butter. I'm still dreaming about the cherry pie. It was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. I can't wait to go back and do it all over again. If you're looking for a great meal and a fun experience, this is the place!

We visited The Old Post Office Restaurant with a bus tour of 45 people and the staff ran this place like a well oiled machine!! We loved the experience of an authentic fish boil. The boil master was entertaining and the food was delicious!

One of my favorite restaurants in the whole peninsula. They provide a great history lesson when cooking about 30 minutes before dinner. They have great seating inside and outside. The workers are all very friendly and provide attentive service. We went there for breakfast and dinner in one day because we enjoyed it so much!
Maddi ( — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at the traditional fish boil! It was both fun and informative to watch the boil take place before being seated at our assigned table. The servers were efficient and even de-boned the fish right in front of us, which was a nice touch. I also appreciated that there were a couple of alternative options available for those who don’t eat fish. The meal itself was delicious—especially with the vessel of melted butter to pour over the fish, potatoes, and onion. The cherry pie at the end was the perfect sweet finish. The setting made the evening even more special, as we enjoyed a beautiful sunset view over the lake from our table. Another highlight was that our dog was welcome, which made the outing even better. Overall, a great experience combining tradition, great food, and a scenic atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Red Putter Mini Golf

4.8
(350)
Miniature golf course
Located in north Ephraim, the Red Putter Mini Golf offers quality family fun with its well-maintained grounds and friendly staff. The mini golf course is centrally located and reasonably priced, making it a great option for a fun day out with the whole family.
So glad we played at this local, unique course instead of all the other mini golf options close by. It was so obvious the staff takes great care in creating a fun, charming experience and maintaining the course. The holes were challenging and creative. And the price was so affordable!
Cole D — Google review
Last Saturday, August 30, 2025, we were delighted to be part of a marriage proposal. Our future daughter-in-law spoke to the management at the Red Putter and asked if she could bring a prop to help pop the question. It was a golf flag! The Red Potter was all in! They recommended that she do the proposal on the 10th hole, which is a church. They were very enthusiastic and happy to help execute the surprise. We have been going to the Red Putter for more than 30 years, and see it as a wonderful destination for families. Having this proposal be part of our Red Putter history makes us it love it even more. Thank you.❤️💒

I had a lot of fun at this mini golf course. Lots of shade on a hot day and the price was certainly reasonable. There's a fun little rhyme for each hole (you might be about to see them if you zoom in on the red sign)... Anyway I had fun and would strongly recommend this course for it's challenging design and great ownership!

We love Red Putter. We usually make a few stops when we visit Door County. Family friendly fun!
Amanda R — Google review
This place is so cute and fun for all ages! We loved the overall Wisconsin theme (barns, badgers, bears, lighthouses!) and the extra autumn decorations that fit the season. The attendant was also super kind and friendly. We really appreciated that this mini golf course was open late, even in October. We were able to grab a bite to eat in town and then finish our night with a round of mini golf- from what we saw, a lot of other places closed around 5:00 this time of year. Since it was dark, we got to use cool glowing golf balls too which was awesome! We are so glad we stopped by and can’t wait for our next visit!

Good Eggs is a charming eatery located in Ephraim, offering omelet wraps, coffee, and smoothies with scenic water views. The small building has outdoor seating with surfboards and various spots to sit around the building. It's conveniently located next door to Bay Breeze Resort and offers grab-and-go meals through their iPhone app or online ordering. The cozy shack catches the eye with its cheerful sign and is situated near Door County Confectionery's Ephraim location.
The breakfast burritos are amazing and worth the wait but be prepared because you may have to wait; we waited nearly an hour for ours and some folks got lucky and walked up while they were starting a new batch and had no wait at all. The service is slow with only one person cooking and one flat top which means they can only make 6-8 at a time. They keep it fun and entertaining though with the stories and jokes and you get to enjoy the cooking process which makes it go by faster and is more fun! Don’t let the menu fool you either as they have many add in options that range from spinach, different kinds of cheese and salsa and hot sauce!
Kelsey — Google review
This is somewhere that we have driven past for years but never stopped at. We tried it for the first time this trip. They have a limited menu which is fine. They have strawberry banana smoothies which the kids enjoyed. I’m allergic to strawberries so I can’t attest to the taste. We also got scones which were good. They have three different omelette options. Basic, super (not sure if that’s what the middle one is called) and deluxe. Deluxe has meat and veggies which is what I got. You get to pick all of the things that go into your burrito including the wrap. They explain things very well to you when you’re there. I think the deluxe was around $16. All in all pretty good.
Christine S — Google review
Was welcomed in by the owner on a cold morning. We liked that this was made in front of us, it was a collaborative food experience. The burritos warmed our souls and stomachs, the coffee as well! It took a long time to get an order in, so we recommend making an online pickup, though you may miss some witty banter from the owner. All in all, great spot to stop to fuel up for a long hike or day out on the Peninsula.
Jake — Google review
Inconspicuous, BUT honestly the BEST place for a breakfast burrito and some of the best tasting food in Door County. This was my second time here and it met my superb expectations from last time. We will definitely be back! And Teddy was a great host/cook, thanks Teddy!

We had the best breakfast burritos in here , but even better than the burrito was the service provided by Teddi. He was extremly profesional and friendly and he answered all my questions and than he coked the burrito in front of me. I will definetly go back and i really hope Teddi will make me another burrito.

The best breakfast experience in door county! Everyone inside was friendly. It put a smile on my face just being in the restraunt. We put an order in for Burritos and we're eating them within 10 min. Best Breakfast Burrito I have ever had! Will make this a new door county tradition!
Marissa L — Google review
Second time at Good Eggs. Excellent service and a fantastic breakfast burrito. The owner is the nicest guy who took time with each guest. I can see how a wait could accrue, however, we had zero wait. I had the standard burrito and added all the veggies. So good! Husband had the basic and loved it. Portions were large, pricing more than fair. Will definitely be back each time we visit DC. Highly recommend!!

We finally got to eat here we've been trying to stop in but unfortunately we always come at the end of the year. The staff is wonderful and the omelettes are delicious. I will definitely be back before they close again. Thanks again for such wonderful service and great food.

Located in Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, Eagle Tower is a newly rebuilt attraction that offers stunning views of the changing leaves and Green Bay. The tower features an 850-foot accessible ramp to the top, allowing all visitors to immerse themselves in vibrant colors. With wire sections on the observation deck railing, even children and wheelchair users can enjoy unobstructed views. This sky-high tower provides a distinctive way to experience Door County's natural beauty and is open during regular park hours.
You get to enjoy the Michigan lake from treetop height. The wood structure was also stunning itself. Very nice design. I would recommend starting from the ramp and coming down the stairs.
Gyujoon H — Google review
The new tower is much more sturdy then the last one. Some original buildings are nice to see. Nice trails to adventure on, a lot of great photo opportunities too.
Heidi M — Google review
Easily the highlight of the Peninsula State Park, this is a popular attraction since it offers sweeping views of the Green Bay, and the town of Ephraim. There's a ramp to walk up to the tower, or a flight of stairs for the younger lot. Parking under the tower is limited, but there's an adjacent overflow parking lot. There are picnic benches near the overflow parking lot. Entry to the park requires admission stickers.
Karan A — Google review
Very beautiful constructed lookout tower. Has ramp access for handicapped as well as stairs directly to top of the tower. Definitely worth the time to check out the views from atop.
Cal B — Google review
Awesome lookout tower with beautiful views of Green Bay and Door County. Worth the stairs or ramp up! It's incredibly peaceful at the top of the tower.
Jeremy D — Google review
This is part of Peninsula State Park in Door County. For out of state residents, the fee is 16 for the day. There are hiking and bike trails, campsites and RV sites. Check the website for pricing on camping. Eagle Tower has two methods to make it to the top: stairs and a long ramp. I’ll post pictures of the tower, the ramp, and the view. You can see there are some benches along the ramp. The park has other views to check out, some near the water. I’ll post pictures of those as well.

Drive-in movie theater
Event venue
Skyway Drive-In Theatre in Fish Creek is a classic 1950s-style drive-in theater that offers a nostalgic movie experience for families and friends. It features a single screen, original snack bar, and a playground for kids to enjoy before the show. Visitors can watch double features while snuggling under the stars with their favorite snacks. The theater provides an affordable and memorable night out, complete with jumper cables for emergencies and amenities like restrooms on-site.
Another place I’ve gone to since I was a kid and another place I’ll continue to go! They don’t over charge for the food, the ticket prices are decent, and the movie quality is very nice! Went for the first inside out movie and recently went back for the second one! It’s so fun to walk around and enjoy it! Fireflies are everywhere once it gets dark and more! I love it! One of my favorite things to do in door county! The ads before the movie starts are so nostalgic now and I love them! They even have the seesaw still there which I love!! Hate when parks take down the seesaws because the are “dangerous” I only saw a kid knock his teeth out once. All jokes aside please don’t take them away!!!!! They’re great this place is great I’d recommend it to all my buddies

Anyone up for a movie under the stars? Wonderful family fun here. Had the time of my life. My sons got to relive childhood memories as we relived our past family fun time when they were little. Saw the double feature July 16. Brought blankets and pillows. Sat in the wooden chairs plus layed out a blowup mattress pad in front of the wooden chairs to lounge on and watch the movies under the starry sky when night came. The popcorn was memorable. Just as I remembered it - made hot with real butter. Weather was cool, 68 degrees and the best thing about this place is the atmosphere hasn't changed. It has that 1950s style feel with the throw back intermissions and dated commercials as well as low costs for concessions. Absolutely will return to continue making family memories.
Jeannine B — Google review
Had a beautiful time. Seeing two movies for the price can be beat. Concessions were also great and reasonably priced. Sound and picture of the theater was great for a drive in. We got there 15min before the gate opened and we still parked in the front row. We brought camping chairs and our dog, but a lot of people brought air mattresses for their truck bed. Highly recommend.
Mike P — Google review
It is so great that an old-fashioned drive in theater still exists. We had a great time. We sat outside our car, so the sound was harder to hear because the car next to us kept turning on and off their car, otherwise no complaints
Kelly S — Google review
We used the speaker to listen and the quality and volume were good. Too chilly (for us) to watch from outside the car but that is an option. We only stayed for the first film and was easy to exit after.
Susan G — Google review
One of my favorite places in Door County! Perfect place to spend an evening outside enjoying a double feature with the whole family! Love that they are dog friendly, so they can join us as well! Wish more areas still had drive-ins like Skyway!

Trixie's in Ephraim, near Sister Bay, is a bright and relaxed venue known for its locally sourced, seasonal fare and an impressive selection of natural wines and craft beers. The restaurant offers innovative food with dishes like whitefish served with roasted mission figs, celeriac, and lemon, as well as delicate house-made pastas. The knowledgeable staff are happy to answer questions about the wine selection.
This place is the best restaurant in Door County! We’ve visited twice now, and always received top notch, friendly staff and amazing food. When you’re in town or live locally, this is one place you really need to go to hands down. Everyone needs to experience the food they’re putting out. We’ve personally met the chef Cooper, and Em. Owen from the front of the house, and Kayla the bartender. Everyone was very personable, and does an outstanding job. This place is a staple for our Door County visits! We love the atmosphere and diverse, creative dishes.

What a Great LITTLE find. Very small dinning room. Nice wine bar, eclectic menu, VERY well done. Trixie's does not take reservations so you just go early and stand in line to see if you get in for the 1st seating. If you don't make the cut don't worry, get on the list and go have a glass of wine down the street they will text you when your table is ready. Atmosphere, service and food is great.
Dan H — Google review
Dinning at Trixie’s has far exceeded our expectations. First of all, the food is exceptional. Definitely, the best in all of Door County. Although everything was great, I highly recommend the Chicken confit 🤤. I want to also recognize the amazing service we received from the front and the back of the house. Kayla, our bartender/server was very knowledgeable, hospitable, and took great care of us. Also, Cooper and Em from the kitchen staff worked so cohesively together, creating perfectly balanced, delicious dishes, but also being super friendly and hospitable (working in such a small place!) My Fiancé and I have been to Michelin Starred restaurants all over the world, and I truly believe this gem deserves a star based on the food and service we received. It’s a small restaurant with limited seating, so I highly recommend going early. We got there around 6:30, and was one of the last reservations put on the list for the night because of the high demand. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to return!

This was our second time coming here, and each time we are blown away at the food and service. Food is creative, yet simple. They also have a small patio out front to enjoy a beautiful Door County evening. The restaurant fills up quickly, and does not take reservations, but it is without question worth the wait!

A Door County delight in Ephraim. We shared the saganaki, green gazpacho, battered green onions, couscous, and the pasta of the day which was a ricotta gnocchi with fennel sausage crumble. The tempura battered green onions were my favourite of the meal. Perfectly crisp and seasoned and a hefty portion; incredible. Small plates and impressively researched and sourced wines make for a wonderful experience. They don’t take reservations so it’s vital to arrive well before opening if you wish to dine in the first seating at 5 pm as we did.

Everything was amazing! I definitely recommend the poutine crusted mushrooms and the Braised Short Rib. They also had complimentary bread (with oil) which is always amazing! Definitely recommend it!

Food was amazing. My wife and I had the Citrus and Bitters Salad, Gnocci De Jour, Whitefish Fettuccine, and Mushrooms. Bridgette, our server was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Wickman and Trixies are must stops to anyone visiting DoCo.

Outrageous! Such an incredibly delicious meal. Gillian, our server, was positively amazing - so attentive, informative and kind. This was our first time here, but based on this experience, it’s already become a favorite. For best seating, arrive about 4:15 or 4:30, enjoy a drink at one of the neighboring businesses, and keep an eye on the front door. When you see a line beginning to form, head on over and your almost guaranteed a place for the 5:00 seating. Otherwise, you’ll be added to a wait list for the 6:30 or 8:00 seatings. Either way, it’s well worth the wait! Highly recommend!

Klaud's Kitchen, a beloved coffee shop that reopened in June 2023, has evolved into an exciting culinary destination. Initially offering a limited menu of lattes and sandwiches, it now features monthly specialty lattes and a variety of pizzas. Visitors rave about the delicious breakfast burritos, fresh pastries, and friendly service. The cozy patio provides an ideal setting to start the day.
If I could give this place a 6 start rating, I would! The food is PHENOMENAL, the staff are friendly, courteous and effective, and the atmosphere is GORGEOUS! We came for breakfast and left with dessert. We'll definitely be stopping here every time we come to Door County!

The service was very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere is very laid-back. Great gluten free options such as pizza & desserts. There are many other foods not gluten free as well. I love going here i encourage others to go here too. You won't be disappointed

Amazing selection of deserts. They have their own coffee brand. Potato rings are amazing! We needed to wait for an hour at Aljohnson nearby so we came to this place which was a great surprise! Love this place and even respect it after learning about its history. Highly recommended!

What an adorable place! We stumbled on this when we were heading out of town leaving Sister Bay. We came for breakfast and the menu looked limited at first glance. However, they had so mamy delicious things to choose from! The breakfast burrito was honestly the best I have had! Paired with the potato rings (which are like tater tots shaped like a thick onion ring) this was a delicious meal! My companion had a slice of the sour cream coffee cake, which they said was moist and good but lacked "a lot of flavor but was still good." However, the bakery cases they have there look divine! They have cakes, pastries, coffee cakes, danishes, muffins & more. We ordered a slice of cheesecake to go which was decent but not the flavor we asked for. We were long gone before we discovered the mixup - still good though so we didn't mind. The staff was so sweet and the drinks were good. My seasonal coffee was exceptional. The building is rusticly modern. It was so cute! Next time we are up in DC I would go back, no question, and would get the exact same meal - it was that good. But I bet their avocado toast, breakfast sandwich or lox & bagels are yummy too! I also look forward to trying more bakery items. It was very hard to choose only one! HIGHLY recommend!

This is a nice restaurant with excellent breakfast burritos. The price was a little steep for the burrito but what it tastes that good it justifies it. I got a few pastries as well and they were delicious.

First time at Klaud’s Kitchen and the experience was just okay. Given the top-rated reviews, thought I’d give it a try. Had high expectations going in. I ordered two coffee beverages, but unfortunately, both orders were made incorrectly by the staff. I ordered the “Baby Yoda Matcha,” The drink should’ve been green in color but came out all white. It came way too much milky and hardly any matcha flavor. For the second drink, I specifically requested oat milk, but it was made with whole milk instead by the gentleman at the front with the mustache and accent. Thank goodness there was not a dairy allergy because that could’ve been a disaster. On this visit, it was preference only. On the bright side, the quiche was delicious, but overall, the drink experience really missed the mark.

Amazing place for getting sweet treat. The biggest amount of options in whole county. So many different cakes/flavors. Crème brûlée donut is 10/10!

Great food! We had the pizza and burrata bruschetta as carry out one night. The service was amazing. The interior is quite open with large tables and benches. It was nice and quiet when I was there 30 min before closing but I'm sure it's quite bustling during the day. The desserts were a great variety and plentiful and looked delicious!

Restaurant
Sunset Harbor Grill is a classic Ephraim establishment that offers American comfort food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant provides fresh and well-prepared meals with stunning views of Ephraim's harbor on the bay of Green Bay.
My husband, daughter and I stopped in here on our way up to Gillis Rock. We had never eaten here before and thought we would try it. We are so happy that we did. The service was perfect (the owner was also our waiter and was very friendly and on spot with drink refills, special orders, etc). We each ordered a different meal and each of our meals was fresh and delicious. The spinach dip with small warm round bread slices was homemade and both were cooked to perfection. The chips are not hard and burnt like a lot of other places. No complaints from any of us, everything was great. We will definitely be back whenever we visit Door County, and definitely will recommend this restaurant to friends and family as well!

An interesting dining experience. Food was plated very nicely, while silverware is handed out wrapped in a papernapkin and napkin ring. The servers have black collared shirts but also sportshorts and basketball tennies. You are greeted on entry by a hostess and then promptly encouraged to seat yourselves. The place seems trapped somewhere between fine dining and bar & grill. The service was very friendly and very quick, which would be expected when you are sitting 5 feet away from the host station. The food was delicious, well prepared, and came out very quickly. My wife had chicken Alfredo, and I had the "Cajun" shrimp alfredo. I put Cajun in quotes because it slightly missed the mark. A small trace of red onion was the only hint at any part of the holy trinity touching this recipe, and a few thin sliced Andoulli suasages were their to help pay lipservice to "Cajun" cuisine. Some old bay seasoning or even just a touch of celery salt and a dash of crystal hotsauce could have gone a long way to spice up the dish, but as it was, it was a mildly seasoned creamy shrimp alfredo. This is probably nit-picky, but it was a $30 plate of pasta after all. My biggest issue was honestly the price. $30 for pasta just seems exorbitant. What my wife and I received were very delicious, $15 plates of pasta from a $15 a plate level dining experience, and no clue where the extra $20 upcharge was coming from. I am not saying anything was bad, it just wasn't up to the standard it's priced at. The bones are there for this place to be a very nice upscale dining experience worth $30 a plate, but Im not sure it wants to be. It is, after all, a "Grill".

Wow! Amazing little restaurant located upstairs. The atmosphere was welcoming and you can tell it's family owened. The employees seemed to know their local customers. The food was great! Wonderful place to heat with a great view of the water. Located on the second floor of Ephraim Shores Resort makes it convenient to walk to. Food is consistently delicious and I swear they have the best pancakes around. Today I had the veggie omelet and my mom poached eggs. She is fussy and said they were cooked to perfection.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and we were greeted right away by one of the staff members. Very friendly. Sat us right at a table looking out to the lake. Service was excellent. We ordered the calamari, which was so delicious. I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta, again, so delicious. The moscato they serve there was the best. My boyfriend ordered the Rueben sandwich, he said it tasted really good too. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is staying in door county. 👍👍👍

Steak house
CHOP is a renowned American steak and seafood restaurant located in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. This family-owned establishment offers an upscale dining experience with its white-tablecloth setting, extensive wine list, and patio seating. The menu boasts a variety of fine cuts such as New York Strip, Filet Mignon, and Ribeye, along with options like lamb, pork, and surf & turf. Vegetarian meals are also available including the famous chop salad.
Food was great, service was great, it was just super noisy. It's not a great place if you're looking for a more intimate setting for a date. You're seated super close to other people and you can barely hear across the table.

Lamb pops were amazing, fillet was very tender. Desserts were disappointing. We were seated upstairs - ambience not as good as downstairs. Very noisy upstairs compared to downstairs. Winter menu much better than summer offerings.

Chop, Sister Bay We loved heading to Chop for their early dinner menu when we were in Sister Bay. It was such a good deal! For just $29.95, you get a three-course meal with a starter, entrée, and dessert—many options and big portions. The food was beautifully done: a fresh salad, an entrée cooked just right, and a sweet dessert that felt perfect, not rushed at all. The vibe there was warm and upscale, but still casual enough for a laid-back evening. The service was spot on, attentive but not too much, and everything flowed just right. For the price, it’s one of the good dinner deals in Door County, especially given the quality of the food and overall experience. Checking it out if you’re in Sister Bay and craving a tasty dinner without spending a fortune!

Food and drinks were delicious!! They have an incredible early dinner deal which some of our party ordered. $5 old fashioned, and $3 off glasses of wine as well. I got the appetizer of scallops and the mushroom ravioli. Fantastic steaks as well. Every cocktail our party ordered was delicious. View from the rooftop with the sunset was also delightful.

We had a group of 11 and although we couldn’t all sit together, we were fairly close. We set up reservations early and walked right in during our time. The food service was quick. The food was excellent and our server was excellent as well.

We’ve been coming here for our anniversary for several years, and it’s always been an incredible experience. Unfortunately, Saturday night was not the same. When we made our reservation online, we even noted that it was for our anniversary. To our surprise, we were seated in an area where couples were placed less than a foot apart, so we had a couple on our left and our right less than a foot away, leaving us with no privacy and an uncomfortable atmosphere, super disappointing. My wife ordered the tenderloin well done, and I ordered the ribeye medium. Her steak arrived extremely undercooked, and despite sending it back twice, it still wasn’t prepared correctly. By the time it was cooked through, I had already finished my meal. To make matters worse, my ribeye was very tough, I chose not to send it back or say anything since we had already gone through the hassle with her steak. I also thought it was strange that they put my steak on top of my potatoes. On a positive note, the lobster was outstanding as always, but overall this was a disappointing experience. Sadly, after many great anniversaries here, we will likely need to look for a new location next year.

George, our waiter, was absolutely amazing! He's very attentive, personable and charming. Our food was 5 stars! We had filet mignon and wagyu New York strip steak. Food placement on the plate was a masterpiece of art, stunningly exquisite. Every bite was savory. Dessert was the carrot cake. I expected just a plain piece of cake... but no it was delectable. Every forkful of food was a party on my palate. Highly recommend this place and make sure to ask for George to have exceptional service.

Next Level!!! A must if you need a little TLC at a resteraunt. The service is outstanding. We were dissatisfied with our broccoli soup. The waiter not only replaced with a salad but then brought out a new cup of soup to get our opinion if improvements were made. Very impressed. Not sure how on earth they make the buns that are served before your meal? They are outstanding and like nothing I've had before. Perfect place for date night or special occasion. Can't wait to return a 3rd time.

Anderson's Dock in Ephraim, Door County, is a historic site with a unique tradition. Established by Scandinavian settlers, the dock has evolved into a community hub and now features an art gallery during the summer months. Since at least 1910, visitors have left their mark by inscribing their names on the building. This practice has turned the dock into an unconventional yet charming attraction where tourists and boaters alike contribute to its graffiti-covered facade.
Awesome place to visit. Love that you can paint on the barn. Hope to visit again sometime soon.

8/21/25 - Heads up to those visiting from out of the area, bring your own paint and you can add your name to the building! Very fun piece of art and nice view right on the water. Definitely worth the stop and to snap a few pics. Will remember to bring paint next time.

We stopped there on a Fish Creek Trolley Tour that took us about and Anderson Dock we stopped by to paint names in a barn/sea storage landmark. It was also close to one of the original founders of Door County's Egg Harbor Area. It was in mid October and had just turned cool and windy. Others went to paint while my husband and I went out on the big pier, walked to neighboring piers and examined a area currently under restoration on Green Bay. Beautiful area!

We signed our names here many years ago. I think they’ve been painted over with other peoples names. It’s cool if they don’t get painted over but kind of hard to keep that from happening. Bring your own paint and a ladder if you plan to write your name. The view is beautiful here though!

Cool place to stop when in the area. Love the story behind it. Gallery was closed, along with the museum next to it. I imagine just for winter. Given the dangerous ice conditions you cannot walk out to the dock. Driveway is also blocked off. There is parking across the street in museum lot. Easy to walk over and take a peak.

An iconic Door County place. Built in 1915 as a warehouse to store goods brought in my ship. Sailors began the tradition of signing their names, the name of their vessel and the date on the wooden structure. That tradition continues today with graffiti covering every square inch of the buildings surface.

🌳As an artist (photographer / cinematographer) I like to give clean and clear POSITIVE reviews so others may benefit from them. 🌱Our family has been "art museum lovers" for as long as I can remember. We've enjoyed touring art museums all over the world including - Paris, Spain, Mexico City and more!🌾 I find art history fascinating and highly educational. 🌛I'm very proud that Wis has the Hardy Gallery ...🍇Kudos to all artists at the Hardy. 🌍As a world traveler/ artist/ photographer & Wisconsinite here are my suggestions to the curator. For each separate show the hardy hosts Id like to recommend something we have seen throughout the globe at other galleries. A simple 8x11 "comment sheet next to each painting for guests to write their reaction or emotion (next to their fave pieces.) Perhaps a word or two on how that painting evokes them) 🌻SOOOO many local artists submit their work - aka" HEART n SOUL but without feedback how can they create the next big thing? All artists crave feedback and constructive criticism. Since 100's of guests tour the Hardy weekly, a simply clean clipboard with 8x11 lined sheets and a pencil would suffice nicely for guests to provide necessary feedback to these artists! ☘️AN ARTIST REVIEW SHEET IS ESSENTIAL for artist growth and support!!! ~ PLEASE ADD THIS SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE TOOL!!!!! ~ Have a great summer and Namaste! ~ HEIDI⭐️

I am very sorry to see what those little juvenile delinquents did the building. Or if it was an adult, shame on them for having no sense of decency. My dad, who passed 9 years ago, painted his name and his wife's on the south side decades ago. I am dreading the day I see this painted over or the wood replaced. I hope Karma gets whoever did this.

Wine bar
Bad Moravian is a unique beer hall and art gallery in Door County that offers a blend of craft beers from across the nation and hosts various chefs serving new foods. The establishment, which opened last year, initially sold packaged beers curbside due to the pandemic but has since opened its sit-down space to offer a wide variety of craft brewery styles. The venue also serves as a platform for local businesses to showcase and sell their food, art, and clothing.
Pizzas are unique! The sauce has a little sweetness to it but the cheese and toppings add the saltiness/ spice. I LOVE atmosphere here, the colors and art work make it funky! There are large tables for bigger groups along with outside seating. There is an extensive selection of beer and wine and definitely something for everyone. Service is a 10/10, Gillian is the sweetest and super helpful.

Dont expect: - fast service - the full menu in stock - quick food - the location to entertain your adhd kids. Expect: - nothing. Like it or dont, this place has an aire of indifference. It will keep on serving beer and pizza to those who like their beer and pizza. It's that simple. They dont need your approval. They dont need my approval. Why am I even writing this?

I really was prepared to be disappointed, but this place really lives up to the hype. Best pizza in Door Co, and I would say significantly better than Wild Tomato in their prime. They know what they are doing by deciding what days of the week they will make pizza and only sharing it via Instagram. No take outs, no call ins, if you want the pie you have to come in and experience it. They had 1 bartender and server working at 200 miles per hour, but it added to the loure Its not fast, you’re going to be there awhile, but its an incredible place to enjoy. Don’t just go trying to be in a hurry. This is the kind of place that will soon become so busy it would be visitable, so if you can get in, go now. Well done Bad Moravian. Well done.

We were visiting the area for my wife's birthday and she decided she wanted pizza. After looking up some possibilities I was struck by the 5.0 star ratings this place received. We arrived a little late in the evening and found the place hopping. They were definitively understaffed but that's not uncommon these days. Service was uneven but friendly. Upon ordering a pizza, we were told they only make a certain number of crusts per day and that they may be out. After checking, we were lucky enough to get the last dough of the evening. We order the "Apocalypse Wow" which has pepperoni, sausage, and hot giardiniera. My wife wasn't feeling well so we asked to hold the giardiniera. I have tried Detroit style pizza a couple of times and found it to be too doughy and lacking in flavor so I was interested to see if we were going to like this or not. When the pizza came out it was a thing of beauty. Lots of toppings and a beautifully caramelized crust. It did come out with the giardinera on it and we knew there was no more dough so we couldn't send it back. What a fantastic mistake. The flavors were so balanced and popped and the hot giardinera was not too hot and added such flavor to the pizza. Honestly this is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The vibe is eclectic and cool. Music was rocking and they had a really unique and varied beer selection. I think about coming back to Door county and having this pizza again and again...

Conveniently located near Nicolet Beach, Horsehoe Island, Eagle Bluff, and Eagle Lighthouse, South Shore Pier provides easy access to popular destinations.
We enjoyed their boat this week and once we got home they called to let us know they accidentally overcharged us and wanted to make sure we got our refund. They didn’t have to do that and we would have never known that we were overcharged and it was only $30, but what a wonderful business that wanted to do the right thing and be honest about their mistake. The boat was also very nice and well cleaned and maintained! We will definitely come back here!

We rented a pontoon boat for two hours on a sunny afternoon. We were able to park in the car parking lot adjacent to the pier. The polite staff got the boat ready quickly making it super easy to get ready for our outing. I was shown the navigational landmarks of the harbor and area. The boat was like new. Having the staff get the boat going then jump on to the dock was great. Bringing the boat back in was effortless. You just drive by the dock, a pilot jumps on board and does the rest. All in all, a great experience.

Made a reservation with a younger gentleman who did not explain the cancellation policy very well. Called within a 24 hour period and as it was explained to me if I cancelled I was responsible for a $20 fee. We were unable to make it and neither my wife's or my phone worked so we were unable to contact them. I was charged for the whole thing and when I called to see if there was something we could work out they said when the gentleman told me I was locked in that it IMPLIES that I will be charged in full regardless. I don't understand why they first of all couldn't of told me that instead of IMPLYING and second of all it was a misunderstanding and they could've made at least a effort to work something out instead of basically saying sorry sucks for you.

Park
Harborside Park in Ephraim is a charming spot to unwind and enjoy live music at the free summer concert series. The park's gazebo hosts lively performances, creating a perfect setting for an evening with loved ones. Situated near Wilsons Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor and the Hillside Waterfront Hotel, it offers a picturesque view of the bay of Green Bay, making it an ideal place to catch stunning sunsets.
We love stopping by this park for live music when they have it. We listened to Lewis and Murphy whose music was fantastic. They're big joke is they are always playing for "newlyweds and nearly deads" haha. Enjoyable evening!

Great Park and beach. Plenty of tables and benches, nice boardwalk. The view is great and sunsets are amazing here.
Kimberly W — Google review
This playground was the perfect distraction while waiting for a table at Wilson's, and the location is convenient for many restaurants. It was a hot and sunny day, and I loved that we could move a bench under the tree! I like that the surface is made from recycled tires.

A very beautiful little Park and Playground near a very popular local Ice-cream and Fastfood place with a great view onto the Bay.

This is a very small playground, but great to let the kids run around for a bit. Close to the water and shops.

I want to live in a world where a 40 year old man can sit near a playground by himself without it feeling weird. That's what I want.

Teeny-weeny park, but there's free live music there on Sunday nights in the summer.

Coffee shop

Nestled in the quaint town of Ephraim, Ephraim Coffee Lab by Isley Coffee Roasters is a must-visit destination for coffee enthusiasts. Randy Isely, with his expertise gained from New York, roasts top-quality coffee on-site. The cozy space features a traditional espresso bar and serves an array of brunch options. Visitors can savor handcrafted Italian espresso drinks made using a manual lever machine.
Solid coffee spot conveniently located near other shops and the coastline. The flat white was very delicious as well as their iced lattes.

Wow-wow-wow. The chai scone and blueberry scone are both “must-haves” (unique, flaky with crisp edges) AND do not miss the “cucumber schmear” on focaccia bread. It’s more delicious than we could describe. A few tables in front, a charming courtyard in back with tables and indoor seating at the adjoining bar. Charming staff. Talented barista. Coffee roasting on site.
Lynda R — Google review
The coffee here is exceptional. We ordered two cappuccinos and a blueberry scone, and were thoroughly impressed. The coffee was freshly brewed with meticulous care—the barista precisely measured and leveled the grounds before tamping, demonstrating a level of craftsmanship that’s all too rare. As for the scone—simply divine. One could easily build an entire business around it. Perfectly balanced in sweetness, it boasted a delightfully crisp exterior with a tender, fluffy interior. The blueberry jam crowning it was evidently homemade, reminiscent of something a skilled grandmother might prepare with love and patience. A true hidden gem—charming, understated, and of exceptional quality

Super nice guy, great vibe, awesome coffee and beans. Thanks for the conversation and the nod to aviation. Will definitely be coming back and buying more beans!

The owner was so friendly and we loved how appreciative he was of our patronage. He and his employees are awesome! Be prepared to wait a bit for your coffee, but it’s worth every minute of it to have such a perfectly crafted coffee with house-made flavor syrups. If you’re in Door County you have to stop here!

Super chill place to grab a quality coffee drink. My husband got a vanilla latte and I had a chai tea latte. Both were delicious. They also have a pizza shop in the evenings. I'd be curious to check that out.

Best decaf espresso ever... I had an iced cappuccino with oat milk and wow! So complex and interesting, might even be better than their regular. Also had a jalepeno scone and it was delicious. Smelled so good in there!

American restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in a charming cottage with a picturesque outdoor patio overlooking the lake, Chef's Hat Cafe offers traditional American entrees and a relaxing dining experience. This quaint eatery, located near the waterfront and Peninsula State Park, serves up a variety of breakfast options including egg scrambles, wraps, waffles, French toast, avocado toast, and fresh fruit bowls. Known for its top-notch service and quality ingredients sourced locally, this cafe is open from 8 am to 9 pm every day.
Dropped in for lunch and had an amazing lunch. We searched for restaurants with plant based options and found this spot and they totally lived up to the description. I ordered the Veggie Wrap and my wife had then Asparagus Quesadilla. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and the food showed up pretty quickly. Mu Veggie Wrap came wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and was full of fresh veggies mixed greens, artichokes, red onion, tomato, shiitake, crimini, & oyster, red bell peppers, broccoli with fresh guacamole & creamy dill dressing. The guacamole and dill dressing gave it a really nice flavor. My wife was happy with her Asparagus Quesadilla, it was full of flame roasted peppers, onions, tomatoes, asparagus, corn, black beans, wild rice, farmers cheese & spinach. It came with salsa & sour cream and she add guacamole. The server was very polite and service was quick. The restaurant sits on the shores of Ephraim harbor, perfect location for a meal or drinks.

Very friendly, sincere, and attentive waitress. The food was good, especially the pie. My wife thought the bread on her sandwich was a little dry (may have been the type of bread), but everything else was excellent.

Go Here! And bring your dog! Seating will bring outside if you want your dog to join you and the staff and patrons are so sweet to them! Mine was given his very own bowl of water and of course, I shared my brisket sandwich with him. There's a very nice menu, and it has a lot of variety. The staff is over the top amazing! They gave me some nice suggestions about where to go next and take in the sites. The food preparation was on point, and everything was scrumptious. I actually cleaned up my whole plate, which is a rare occurrence. Parking is a little tight, especially if you have a truck, but it's doable if you scan the block a few times and you'll find a place. Overall, a very, very, very good experience, and absolutely will return.

Nice alfredo dish with added chicken. The rosemary bread is out of this world. Presentation is immaculate. Its an art piece. Tomato basil soup among the best we’ve had. A bit overpriced but worth it. And there’s pie! Great view and friendly staff.

This place is so cute!! My husband and I first came here 12 years ago on our honeymoon, and loved it, and we have made a point to go back every time we go up to The Door. We were a little disappointed to find out they no longer serve breakfast other than Saturday and Sunday and that’s if you get there before 11AM. So when we got there close to noon and were told they weren’t serving breakfast I was disappointed, mainly because I love their scones, specifically their raspberry white chocolate scone, but after telling my server how much I loved their scones she went back and found one for me. That alone tells you about the service of this place, they go above and beyond for their guests. I ended up getting their Turkey BLT sandwich which was sooo good! Loved the honey mustard it was paired with, made every bite an enjoyment. My husband got a burger that he thought was just “okay”. The soup was also just okay, but that was a personal preference. The service alone makes up for any of the food and the cherry pie was really good! Check out the Chefs Hat!! Great views of the bay, warm cozy atmosphere, top notch service! You won’t be disappointed!

Honestly if I could give this experience a 0 I would. Stopped here to eat for lunch about 1 month ago. Informed the server I was gluten free. Ordered apps and then our meals. When receiving my meal they had normal bread on the side of my plate. Informed the serve and he took his bare hands and started picking off the pieces on the side and said he would bring back gluten free bread. After being totally grossed out that he had his hands in my salad noticed that I had very moldy raspberries as well in it. When he came back with the right bread, I informed him of the raspberries. He then again put his bare hands into my salad picking off the raspberries and told me he would get new ones. After this I had just asked for completely new salad. No apology or any type of compensation. My husband then ordered a coffee to go as we were driving back home. Didn’t offer to even put the coffee on the house. I was so upset that we had not even received an apology from our server to now stick his hands into my food but seemly pretty careless about me being gluten free as well. I called after and the manager was very nice and apologetic. Stated he would send something in the mail for this and the server should know better. Now we are a month later and I have followed up twice now and have received nothing. After being told twice now that something was coming and another time that I would be called back. I do not recommend coming here as our bill was $100 for a more than terrible experience. I never write reviews and tried to be extremely patient with staff. This is very poor costumer service and if you are gluten free please be aware of this.

Creative, Relaxing, and So Much Fun for All Skill Levels! We took a group of 13 to Hands On Art Studio and had an amazing time! To make it even more fun, we each drew a name from a hat and painted a piece for a friend—it was a blast. Most of us have little to no artistic talent, but the studio made it easy and enjoyable for everyone. They offer tons of support with stencils, inspiration pieces, and a wide range of project options—from simple and beginner-friendly to more advanced for those who are artistically inclined. The space was peaceful and inviting, the experience was affordable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. Whether you're planning a group outing or just looking for a creative day with the kids, this is a fantastic place to unwind and make something special. Highly recommend!

My family visits here almost every year! This is such a fun, family friendly way to spend any day. There are different options for everyone's interests. My favorite is the glass fusing. The workers are always there to help with tools, tips and tricks, or to help when you have a creative block. Samples are around to get ideas too! They do have snacks and drinks available for purchase and they have a few animals on the property to visit.

My wife and I visited Hands on Art Studio over 10 years ago, we made a fused glass piece. We returned this past October to create another fused glass piece. I highly recommend taking time to create something at Hands On. There are many helpful employees to aid guest if needed. There are a ton of different things to you can partake in. It's a great place to spend with your family and friends. For what we did I feel that the pricing was very fair. They also were able to ship our finished piece to us. I will defiantly be returning with my 3 kids. I love this place!

What a great experience! This was 3rd time i had made a project there. But this time i took my13 year old granddaughter and her friend. They made fused glass pieces but i chose a mosaic that was WAY above my skill level, but i did it! Employee, Aiden, was so helpful as well as Ellie in explaining the grouting process, which I did at home. All the employees there are super helpful, especially to a needy person 🤣 My project turned out wonderfully

What a fun place to go. No skills needed. Spent an entire day with the family painting ceramics. Staff is very friendly and will assist in whatever way you need. Prices seemed reasonable for the projects we were doing. Had Hands On ship our finished products to our home. Arrived way sooner than expected. We will be going back to try some of the other opportunities Hands On offers.

We had went in on Sunday to do our projects. I was a little perturbed because they had told me that our pieces would be done onTuesday at 2:30, they called me on Monday and said that they weren't ready because there were so many people in there and they thought that I was going to pick up the following week and then I reminded her that that was the original but That's why I asked and I said I would come back on Tuesday and pick up our pieces however they said it wasn't ready so I went on Wednesday and it still wasn't ready so they were going to ship it and I decided no I would pick it up on Friday cause it would be my day off. I didn't realize they had talked to my grandson. I brought the pieces to him and he said that they had mentioned that the corner piece had broke a little and they glued it. I don't have a picture of it right now, but very upsetting. This piece was $75 and the corner was actually broken off so I don't know if maybe they had too much stuff in the kiln I don't know, but I know I will not ever go back there again. I spent around 750.00 for all of our projects we did in two days. When they had called my grandson, they should've just told him it was damaged and they would refund him the money instead of having me pick it up

Peninsula State Park Golf Course in Ephraim, Wisconsin is a must-visit for golf enthusiasts. Tucked away in Door County, this hidden gem offers an impressive 18-hole course surrounded by white cedar and maple forests, with stunning views of the Niagara Escarpment. Rated as a 4-star golf course by Golf Digest, it's a favorite among visitors. The on-site restaurant serves delectable cuisine and there's also on-course food and beverage service available.
By far my favorite golf course in Door County. We golfed first week of September and the course was in immaculate condition. Greens were fast, fairways were narrow, and the views were top notch. Definitely bring a jacket because the wind off the lake can make it feel 10 degrees colder. Staff were so nice and friendly, even recommended we take the back 9 for better views if we only had time to play 9. Ended up coming back the next day for a full 18 we enjoyed it so much. If you walk, be ready for a workout. Lots of hills but so much more fun to walk and enjoy the whole course.

This course is at the top of my list! Challenging but open enough for below avg golfers like myself to enjoy it! The staff was so accommodating with our group. The staff was helpful and friendly from the booking to the starter…top notch experience.

Peninsula State Park Golf Course is beautiful, well-kept, and offers stunning views of the water and park. The staff were very friendly, and the whole experience felt fun and relaxing. Even as a beginner, I really enjoyed it—such a great Door County activity.
Sharon L — Google review
Stunningly beautiful and well maintained. Best course on the peninsula that I’ve played. Clearly, many others have had negative experiences with some of the staff, which is certainly a shame. This is not your course if you don’t want to play more traditional etiquette and rule focused golf. I often like to play a relaxed course with relaxed rules! But this is not that kind of course; it’s also really fun to play a serious course with staff that take it seriously themselves!
Holden J — Google review
This is the quintessential Door County golf course. From its beautiful forests and hills to its stunning views of Green Bay, this course never fails to remind me that I'm in DC. On top of it's beauty, the course is the perfect blend of challenge and approachability. It's a great spot for the occasional visiting amateur and more serious golfers alike. If you are visiting Door County for a golf trip, Peninsula is a must play
William R — Google review
One of my favorite courses and well maintained. The young man working the golf carts was great, but I agree that some of the other staff can be rude. I like maintaining the pace of play, but when you are waiting on someone ahead and they are telling you to hurry up, ??? Just noticed that all the owner responses are AI generated anyway.
Bill S — Google review
The short course is usually a lot of fun to play, but our experience was completely ruined by the starter who is an old grumpy dude who treated us with a rude, snappy and unwelcoming attitude when we would ask him a question (likely just because we’re teenagers). I was playing with my 14-year-old sister, who’s just getting into golf, and even she was surprised and disappointed by how he spoke to us. I had told her this was a one in a kind experience and that most courses treat players with much more respect. We both left feeling frustrated and embarrassed. I won’t be returning unless someone else is running the first tee.

Lardiere Gallery & Studio, located in Ephraim, Door County, is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts. The gallery showcases vibrant and colorful abstract paintings by the owner, Geoffrey Lardiere. In addition to paintings, visitors can also find an array of jewelry, travel cases, and scarves. Each piece of art has a unique story behind it that celebrates life and reflects on the journey of healing.
Finally got a chance to meet Geoffrey Lardiere and purchase a couple of pieces of his work that I was looking forward to doing when I visited his gallery in Door County, WI. These contemporary pictures will be a keepsake that I will cherish for years to come. I appreciate Geoffrey's extreme talent, as well as his use of color and design which provide that energy I was searching for in my dining room...just the "pop" of color I needed. They look FABULOUS!
Carol S — Google review
Geoffrey Lardiere has an eye for color and images that is unique...I had never appreciated modern art until we were drawn to the Lardiere Gallery and my eyes were opened to how beautiful and expressive each piece is...I see more than just a picture in Geoffrey’s work...I see a story in each one...I get excited each time I’m there. This Ephraim gallery offers a special Door County experience and should not be missed. When you walk through the door you’ll like what you see more than you ever expected! It always takes my breath away!

If your experience in Door County was similar to mine, and you find yourself hoping to find fine art that fits outside of the touristy categories accessible on every street corner, this is the place to go. Geoffrey is an artist who grows, and the gallery is a mesmerizing capsule of the evolution of a complex, inspiring soul. It seems strange that calling his work precisely what it is - beautiful - feels like an understatement. The work jumps forward to you with bursts of layered color in three dimensional space, a novel and welcoming celebration of whatever emotion seizes you. It is accessible in its beauty, but makes no sacrifices or compromises in its conceptual depth. The gallery is designed with intent, leading you on a journey from the door to the far corners of the building across two floors. Geoffrey is available and full of stories and ideas, and is generous with his willingness to engage with you. For my wife and I, it was a highlight of our trip to Door County that I wouldn't trade for any other. If you appreciate art and beauty, please, take the opportunity to experience the Lardiere Gallery. Door County is lucky to have such an artist as him!

If you ever get to Door County, a MUST-see place is the Lardiere Gallery. Artist, Geoffrey Lardiere is well known and has exhibited his “joyful” paintings in many cities across the country. The colors he uses are typically bright, and the results, to me, are very cheerful. I’m looking forward to hanging our new painting in a hallway that is in need of something colorful and interesting. From having a lengthy conversation with Geoffrey and his wife, to the time I walked out the door, the entire experience was WONDERFUL!

If you are looking for that perfect contemporary piece of art that is a stand out piece, then you must visit Lardiere Gallery & Studio in Ephraim, WI. The artist, Geoffrey Lardiere, and his wife, Ann, welcome you into this beautiful gallery of amazing color and energy. You are filled with a sense of excitement as you browse through the rooms filled with his colorful works. Whether you are looking for a little something to fill a small nook in a room, or a large piece of art to fill a wall or that special focal point, you can find it here. Not only can you find artwork for your walls, Geoffrey has collaborated with his graphic designer daughter, Brinley Lardiere, to create the Lardiere Collection which features her fathers artwork on luxurious scarves, jewelry and travel cases. My husband and I fell in love with Geoffrey's art and over the last few years have purchased several of his pieces. Stop by the gallery, say hi to Geoffrey and Ann, and have fun engaging your senses. It's worth the trip.
Wendy W — Google review
If you’re lucky enough to be visiting Door County, a stop at Lardiere Gallery in Ephraim is a must. Vibrant colors immediately catch your eye and draw you into the Gallery. One can immediately embrace the beauty of each piece of art and as you speak to the artist, Geoff Lardiere and his wife, Ann the stories begin to unfold about the meaning behind each piece. Stories that celebrate life, the pain of suffering through loss and the journey of healing make you appreciate his work all the more. It was easy to find many pieces that spoke to us, harder to narrow it down. After choosing a few pieces, Geoff carefully packaged them and had them shipped to our home. When the crate arrived, it was like Christmas morning. We carefully unwrapped each piece anticipating the beauty it held. We were not disappointed and even found an extra surprise because Geoff took the time to write a personal message on the back of each piece. Geoff’s bold use of colors and form speaks to our souls and brings our home such joy. Everyone should take the time and have this experience.
Cheryl B — Google review
Geoffrey Lardiere's images are on different types of surfaces and sizes - aluminum, canvas, wavy aluminum, paper. We purchased abstract images on aluminum and they are so easy to handle & place in our home. We love the rich beautiful colors, the intuitive and unique movement of the creation. We loved spending time with Geoffrey to learn how and why he achieves his creations - a huge bonus to meet and get acquainted with the artist! He was personable, patient, and it was fun to explore the possibilities of our purchase one-on-one with him!
Janna L — Google review
My wife and I have loved Geoffrey Lardiere's art for years. Up until recently we owned two of his prints. His use of bright yellows, reds, oranges and blues oozes joy! When we moved into our new condo we realized we have a wall in our living room that was dark and needed something bright. The wall seemed to scream "I need a Lardiere print to brighten this place!" So I e-mailed Geoff about the possibility of buying another print. By the time I contacted Geoffrey he had already closed his gallery in Door County for the season so we had to work together electronically to find the right piece. I was surprised to learn that Geoffrey no longer sells paper prints. Rather, he now sells his art on canvas or aluminum. Initially, I was disappointed and leery about not being able to get a framed paper print. However, Geoff was very helpful in going through the process of selecting the right print and even showing me what it would look like on our naked wall. Geoff was very patient and responsive.as he photoshopped multiple prints onto our wall and answered all kinds of questions over a period of weeks. By the time our print was ordered Geoff and I had exchanged dozens of e-mails and I felt like Geoff and I were fast friends. It is one thing to buy a piece of art. It is another to buy art from an artist who personalizes the experience by patiently working with you to find just the right piece. Oh, one more thing: I absolutely love the print on aluminum! There is no way I would go back to a paper print, matting and frame even if Geoffrey still made those available. The print on aluminum is absolutely stunning.

Prince of Pierogi Restaurant is a charming spot that offers a wide range of savory and sweet pierogi, stuffed cabbage rolls, hunters stew, and smoked kielbasa dogs. The menu also includes vegan and gluten-free options to cater to different dietary preferences. Visitors can pair their meals with authentic Polish or domestic beer and wine for a complete dining experience. The restaurant has gained popularity for its delicious homemade comfort food, reminiscent of traditional Polish cuisine.
We recently visited this delightful Polish restaurant and were thoroughly impressed! The food was exceptional; we particularly loved the variety of pierogi, each bursting with flavor. The service was attentive, and I would especially like to mention a young lady named Yasya. (If I heard her name incorrectly, I apologize). Despite the large number of guests, she took great care of us and made us feel welcome. If you're in the area, don't miss this place! Our family can't wait to come back for more delicious food.

Loved it! We have been excited to try Prince of Pierogi in Ephraim since it opened and we were very pleased! Got cherry pierogis, sauerkraut and potato pierogis, kielbasa, and cabbage rolls. Excellent service, nice seating area outside. Flavorful food just like my Grandma used to make❤️ Can't wait to try the new spot in Sturgeon Bay! Highly recommend! Also-- kudos on the sustainable/recyclable take out containers!!! Would be great if we saw more of that and no more styrofoam!!

Excellent food! Authentic Polish food is hard to find, but this restaurant is a gem! Had a chance to speak with the owner about other Polish restaurants from our local area - it was nice to speak with someone who knew of them. The food was very good and the service was exceptional. This will be a regular stop for us when we’re up here!

Wow, lucky shot! On my way back to Green Bay from Door Bluff Park after a hike, I met a wonderful couple who told me about this place. I could not resist stopping by and trying Polish food Simple but very tasty, I have no regrets. Polish pierogi with pork and hunter's stew was my choice, and it was delicious! See you next time!

Cute little place! Excellent service and the food is delicious! We choose to go with the fan favourites of cheese and potato with caramelised onion on top. Would recommend!

Loved this place! It came up when I googled “affordable places to eat in door county.” Because honestly there are so many overly expensive restaurants with mediocre reviews and I’m not willing to pay $50 for a dinner that’s bland (cough cough, egg harbor). I have never had polish food before, but I gave them a shot! I tried the platter (which was a sampling of 4 of their foods). I liked the pierogi and cabbage rolls best! Ate those right away and I would return for more! They are located right next to Lake Michigan in a cute little area with lots of small businesses. I also liked the kielbasa sausage, even though I am not a fan of sausage usually. I took the stew home with me for leftovers. I ate it with some bread I had at home and it was Delicious. On to the staff, the owner and cashier were very friendly and helpful. The cashier brought me napkins and even free bread to go with the stew! Definitely recommend trying it with the bread! They definitely all had the door county charm :) probably about to go back for cabbage rolls and pierogi! I wish we had a polish place back home, it is great comfort food! $20 for 2 meals is an amazing value!

We stumbled upon Prince of Pierogi and were so glad we did! The pierogi were absolutely delicious. We’ll be back to try more flavors next time!

The food was GREAT, will definitely be back the next time we're in the area. The staff was great. It's kind of a hidden gem. Outdoor seating only.

Wild Tomato Wood-Fired Pizza & Grille Fish Creek is a popular family-friendly restaurant known for its delicious wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and burgers made from locally sourced ingredients. The pizzeria takes pride in using organic produce, locally raised meats, and cheeses from nearby farms to create their signature hand-tossed pizzas with a distinct smoky flavor from the wood-fired oven.
Great place to grab a salad and some pizza or other Italian foods. We ended up sharing a large pizza between the 3 of us with a family sized salad and everything was delicious with enough food for everyone in our party, every thing was very good and I think the only complaint was it would be nice to have a bit more cheese in the salad which is very trivial, I would definitely go back in the future!! Also keep in mind if you're heading here it gets very busy later in the day so getting there early or parking out back of the shop are your two best options as it really can fill up tight.

We had a great time here! Delicious food—probably the best pizza in Door County. The fun guy (mushroom) pizza was excellent. The green & gold pizza was also yummy. The cheese curds weren’t as gooey as I prefer, but the batter was great, and they definitely squeaked! The ranch could be better, but it was still good. We were seated outside (soonest available), and the area could definitely used some fans to cool it down and keep bugs away. It was a hot day, and there was a 30-min wait, but it was overall worth the wait!

Great spot for wood-fired pizza! We sat outside on the dog-friendly patio and loved the atmosphere. The pizza sauce was so good we ended up buying some jars for home. We ordered the D-Lux pizza, which really hit the spot—the house-made sausage on it was especially delicious. Highly recommend if you’re craving great pizza and a relaxed setting.

The pizza was perfect, per usual! I highly recommend the hot honey za, it was a fan favorite in our group! The family style caesar salad was enough to feed a party, and there were only six of us. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. The majority of employees seemed to be teenagers and there seemed to be a lack of management. Our waitress took a long time to greet us, didn’t check in while we were eating to see how the food was, etc. Yet the food outweighed the lack of service in the end. Hopefully it was just an off night for the staff. We would happily visit again!

A perfect lunch in a friendly place. The wood fired Hot Honey pizza was incredible. BEST cheese curds ever. The lemonade was refreshing and the service we had was great! Our waiter was from Romania and he was fantastic. Thank you!

Started with the cheese curds which were probably some of THE BEST I’ve ever had! Had the hot honey pizza and was totally blown away! The goat cheese with the mozzarella was amazing! Really enjoyed it!

It pains me to write this but I do this constructive criticism out of love and hope that the new owners will take the feedback to heart and improve the quality of the Door County institution they have taken over and degraded. I have been coming to WT for many many years, I know exactly how its supposed to taste and after a trip last fall and again over the weekend, its clear this is not the same quality of pizza anymore. I’ll share pics, the first is recent and the second two from 2-3 years ago and while they look similar you can tell the previous are far superior. I went to the Fish Creek location on Sunday and ordered a Margherita, it came out way too fast, like 10 minutes and was barely warm. It had to be just sitting under a heat lamp. The sauce was skimpy and flavorless, the dough was mixed poorly, had too much flour left and was just cardboardy, the cheese did not have any flavor and neither did the basil, there was no sea salt sprinkled on. Just heartbreaking. I used to buy an extra pizza on my way out of town to bring back home. On my next trip I cant see myself going there again. Please undo whatever changes you have made to increase the profit margin. I’m sure its fine for Illinois tourists, but for Wisconsin residents who have been coming for years, we have noticed and won’t be returning until you go back to high quality ingredients.

If the cheese curds were a bit less salty, this would be the hands down my best one I’ve tried. So crunchy and bit. One of the pizzas come out not cut all the way. Cherry and walnut salad was so good. The garlic bread in my appetizer came out a bit burnt. Coke felt watery. Men’s bathroom is very small.
