Nature & Parks
Nestled in the stunning Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls is a breathtaking sight that captivates visitors with its impressive 600-foot cascade. The area offers scenic hiking trails, making it an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. A popular route is the two-mile round trip hike that typically takes about an hour and a half to complete. While the trek can be steep, it's manageable for kids and rewards hikers with spectacular views of the falls from various vantage points.
Love this beautiful place. Choose your visiting time with care. Crowded late morning to end of day. Parking permits required in summer season. Good restrooms. Places to rest along the walk. Sit and look at lower falls. Or climb a bit to the bridge. Or (if you have the stamina!) head up to the top of the falls (11 switchbacks to get there!). Snacks, souvenirs. Was a joy to visit again.
C O — Google review
Amazing hike with beautiful views! This was a steep hike with sort of a paved walk way. There were 2 routes we saw up top, but considering this was an unplanned hike we stayed on the paved side and made it to the top of the waterfall! It rained a bit and that made the ground bit slippery if you aren't wearing the right shoes. P.S. don't forget to bring your water!!
Shenna-Lynn B — Google review
It's one of the most filmographic and mystical places I've ever seen. You absolutely must see it. There are many waterfalls in this area, but the weather here is incredible. Inside, there's a lovely gift shop and a small area for coffee and other things. There's a 0.2-mile path leading to the bridge. But there are also routes for longer walks. But I want to warn you about parking. Finding a parking spot in the parking area right in front of the waterfall is very, very difficult. I thought I wouldn't be able to stop, but on the map, I saw a parking lot across the road, so I went there. But you have to drive 5 miles :)) This park is large and free. After parking, you can access it immediately by crossing an underpass.
Rana B — Google review
What a beautiful place. The hike up to the top was great. *Be aware of the possibility of slipping on the trail. You should wear good outdoor shoes. Other people made it up with regular shoes. *Dogs are allowed on the trail🙌🏽 To end the hike, you will have coffee and or food available. Or before you start. Overall we had a great time. Side note: For those who visit, you should be cognizant of others trying to get through the bridge. It is a beautiful site for photos, but you shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes due to the cluster of people. Maybe take a few and come back. Ok enjoy.
Carmen S — Google review
Seeing the falls in all their might after two days of rain was an awe-inspiring experience. I would recommend doing the 5.5 mile loop that invludes several smaller falls up the mountain.
Ziki — Google review
Beautiful spot with an amazing view — definitely worth the visit! Highly recommend taking the hike to the top of the falls for an even better perspective. Parking can be tricky, and it gets pretty crowded on weekends, so try to go early. Totally worth it for the scenery though!
Aron D — Google review
Absolutely stunning. Can't add much more than the other reviews have already said. It's a glimpse of nature at its finest. If you have trouble walking, you'll still certainly be able to reach the lower viewing area which is a smooth developed walkway. It only gets uneven and have moderate inclines when hiking to the bridge. There is a bathroom at the lodge and you can get food and drink at the lodge if needed. If its not raining, there's plenty of outdoor seating if you want a picnic. It is definitely worth the stop if you are passing through the Columbia River Gorge.

Multnomah Falls was one of the most beautiful waterfall I’ve been to in the western half of the United States. The fact that it was really easy to get to from the interstate was just an added bonus. We went early in the morning on a weekday and it was the off-season so there was no crowd at all. It’s a very short walk from the interstate parking lot to the actual Falls. There’s plenty of room for viewing and lots of photo opportunities. The gift shop had a huge variety of memorabilia from the Falls as well as Oregon memorabilia. There’s also a restaurant that we didn’t get to go to because it wasn’t open yet, I wish we’d gotten too. If you’re in this area visiting Multnomah Falls is a must.

Park
Sandy River Delta, located in Troutdale, Oregon, is a versatile recreational area offering scenic views and various activities such as hiking, biking, birdwatching, fishing, boating, and kayaking. The park spans 1,000 acres and features an off-leash dog area. Visitors can explore the trails for a leisurely stroll or a more challenging hike. The park also provides opportunities for camping and river access at the nearby Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site.
My favorite off leash spot to bring my doggy! Beautiful and so much space, plus swimming for your dog. The other dogs we have encountered have generally been great. You will probably get muddy but it’s totally worth it!
Alina P — Google review
Oh my god ! Finally found a great place. Love that some areas are off leash and dogs can swim here and it’s absolutely stunning. Plenty of parking. I would say that if your dog is reactive or they don’t like other dogs to not bring them here. People have their dogs off leash even in places where they’re not suppose to be. And they will run up to your dog and most people don’t have control over their pets here.
Xochitl A — Google review
This is LARGE park, and you could run your pup for hours, and hours... on trails, and areas for them to jump in water. I didn't see that many people without pups, but these paths are good for all. We met 100's of dogs and every one of them was 'behaved'... just out there having fun. There was a review talking about 'campers' on the west side... we must not have gone that direction, we didn't see any homeless camps. We ran them ragged... before and after photos
Faye C — Google review
Great for dogs who want to feel a little freedom. Be mindful of puddles in the spring and foxtail, too. There are places to offload your poop bags and get more if needed. For the most part, people are responsible and clean up. It’s a great place to enjoy nature, dogs, and dog people. Area of improvement: I wish the trails were better marked because I definitely got lost. 😬
- - — Google review
First and last time. We roamed and met lovely people and dogs. Unfortunately we didn’t know the west side was dangerous. There are a lot of well developed homeless camps. The trails went by the camps, but not too close. On a main trail, we were approached by a huge group of large, aggressive dogs near the camps. A lady in a bathrobe was trying to coral 10 puppies while the adult dogs were “protecting” her. My dog is a beta and posed no threat. I had my 8 year old with me, she was crying and scared. I told the lady I was going to use pepper spray and she didn’t seem to care. It was absolutely terrifying! I warned every walker we passed to avoid that area.

Such a cool experience. Had no idea what we'd see but it was really pretty views , people walking so many awesome dogs. Had no problems with any of them and eventually reached the Sandy River. It was just a good experience all around. Bring water and pay attention to which way you came in. Every trail looks like the next😊

Fantastic place for hiking, lots of trails, open areas, trees everywhere, it's BEAUTIFUL. Awesome for dogs!

Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site is a popular 54-acre swim spot located along the Sandy River in Troutdale, OR. It offers various amenities such as picnic areas, hiking trails, a boat launch, and fishing spots. The park has an industrial charm with train tracks overhead while being surrounded by natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy the cool river water on hot days but should be prepared for bugs.
State Recreation Site make for a romantic escape with mother nature that puts visitors in a tranquil bliss full of energetic activity. On the Sandy River you can swim and fish and on the grounds hike and picnic. There is also a short slipway if you want to enjoy the clear blue waters from your boat. We stopped at the park for an hour enroute to Mt Hood.

Have so much fun here! Parking lot is pretty big but can fill up on a hot day, parking is free. Their is easy river access as well as trails up to the bluff and relaxing meadows to have a picnic or sun tan in. Restrooms available as well as a few picnic tables and bbq grills.

We visited the Sandy River at the Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site in Troutdale, Oregon (location here), and I have to say—it’s one of the most beautiful river spots I’ve seen so close to Portland. The views are stunning, with peaceful trees, a wide stretch of river, soft sand, and rocky edges where you can sit and take in the scenery. It should feel like a hidden gem. But instead, it felt like a place that has been neglected for too long. There was trash everywhere. Beer cans, glass bottles, food wrappers—even piles of garbage tossed into bushes, stuck in the water plants, and half-buried in the sand. It was heartbreaking to see such a naturally gorgeous space treated this way. The river deserves so much more respect. What made me feel even more uneasy was seeing someone who seemed like they were helping—pretending to pick up trash—but it turns out he was actually going through people’s stuff and stealing belongings. That completely changed the mood for me. It’s scary when you’re just trying to enjoy a day at the river and suddenly you don’t feel safe leaving your towel or bag even for a second. At one point, we found an actual lockbox—like a safe—wedged between the rocks. That’s not something you expect to see at a peaceful river spot, and it just added to the feeling that this area is being used for all the wrong reasons. Yes, there were a few people who seemed to be living in the area. I know that’s a bigger issue, and I’m not here to judge. But the lack of care and oversight is what really stood out to me. It’s clear that no one is regularly cleaning, patrolling, or watching over this beautiful public space. I truly believe this area could be so much more. It has all the natural beauty to be a relaxing, family-friendly destination. It could be a place where people connect with nature, take their kids, bring a picnic, or just float peacefully in the river. But right now, it feels abandoned—and it’s sad to say that I’d be hesitant to return unless something changes. I hope local and state officials start paying more attention to this area—not just for the safety of visitors, but to honor and protect the land itself. The Sandy River is a treasure, and we should be doing everything we can to take care of it. A little maintenance, more presence, and better trash management could go a long way. We want to return, but next time, I hope it feels safe, clean, and welcoming—for everyone.

What a great little park to take a stroll on the Sandy River and see some wildlife like Canada Geese, Merganser Diving Ducks and some nice views of the river. I was here on a nice late September Saturday retrurning home from White Salmon, Wa.
Peter D — Google review
Lewis and Clark boasts one of the best, and most accessible swimming holes in the Portland metro area, particularly for those with little ones, or for people lacking in strong swimming skills. The current here is negligible, the water relatively shallow all-throughout, and there is plenty of sand and shade to go around. Plus, free parking (no day use fee), and it's literally right off the highway! The only downside to be aware of is that the railway bridge is heavily used: during our three hour visit, no less than four trains came barreling through, roaring and blowing their horns, which spooked our young son a little each time; he would cling to me until each passed which, due to their length, lasted several minutes. People sensitive to loud noises should take note and prepare accordingly.
Jason C — Google review
A great place to hang out at the river catch some rays and chill in nature before work. They have lifeguards on the river so a good safe place as well
Corwin A — Google review
I love coming down to Lewis and Clark in the summer or I float Dabney to Lewis and Clark. Nice place to cool off and relax. Can get busy on hot days. Lewis and Clark is my #1 spot if I'm just going to hang out at the river. My favorite spot is under the train trestle. The water is deep there, great for swimming.

Columbia Gorge Outlets is a large shopping complex featuring a variety of brand-name clothing stores and specialty retailers offering discounted prices. While the overall atmosphere may lack some excitement, the layout is convenient with clear visibility of all stores from any corner. The outlet center is conveniently located near major highways, providing ample parking and easy access to visitors from various areas in Oregon. In addition to shopping, there are entertainment options nearby such as a movie theater and restaurants.
This was very busy in the past. There are some nice, flagship stores like: Jockey, Levi's, and Eddie Bauer. It was not too busy on a Saturday. The stores had some great sales. They have a Starbucks and public restrooms. They have a huge parking lot.
William C — Google review
Although the area is quite large, there aren’t many brands that catch my interest, so I don’t visit frequently. However, the Coach store is fairly sizable, which is why I occasionally stop by. Despite the heavy rain, I managed to purchase the necessary items and took a short break at Starbucks with a cup of tea before heading out to visit the falls. The Columbia, Adidas, Pendleton, and Coach stores are worth browsing here.

Stopped at the outlet on the way home from Gresham, went straight to the Vans store! I was able to purchase two really cool pairs of Vans for 59.00 dollars. Buy one pair that are on sale, get a second pair 50% off. Great deals! One sour note, though, you no longer get the Vans skateboard sticker that always came with each pair of shoes. It was their trademark, why take a good thing away?? The guys working at the store tonight were super helpful and delightful.
Lisa F — Google review
Every store I go into has always been quite well kept and the employees knowledgeable about the product(s) they sell. Rack Room Shoes does happen to be my favorite, and usually the reason for my trip out to this mall .
Mary B — Google review
It is a lovely small shopping complex. If you are looking for a Columbia Brand at an affordable price, please visit here. They have 70% because it's an outlet price.
Mona ( — Google review
My experience was that while it offers a variety of stores and a decent selection of brands, the overall atmosphere lacks a bit of excitement. The layout is clear, you can see all stores in one glance from any corner as it is a small mall compared to other outlets. There’s a lot of parking available and its located right off of few major highways touching many areas in OR. The food options are standard mall fare, and the seating areas could use improvement for those needing a break from shopping. If you're in the area and need to do some shopping, it serves its purpose, but it might not be worth a special trip. Overall, an average shopping stop.

Nestled along the scenic byways of Oregon, the Portland Women's Forum State Scenic Viewpoint, also known as Chanticleer Point, offers breathtaking vistas of the Columbia River Gorge and the iconic Vista House. Established in the 1940s to protect this stunning area from logging activities, it serves not only as a viewpoint but also as a historical landmark. Visitors can enjoy easy access with a convenient parking lot right next to the viewpoint—no hiking necessary!
Know before you go! It's 20 minutes from the airport, free lookout with decent amount of parking, has never been more than half full whenever I've visited. Pictures really don't do it justice you have to see it in person!

Historical value in addition to the gorgeous view. Visited in the end of June and it was stunning. What a great place to bring a camera! Perfectly quiet, sunny and no wind. View of the Vista house makes for a great photo opp. Drive safe, the road is like a coil up from I-84. As always, pack it in-pack it out. Do not leave your Starbucks cups behind (or any other trash). This is an amazingly beautiful State Park located on the Historic Columbia Highway. The trails throughout are well maintained, and the scenery is spectacular. There are picnic tables and plenty of parking. This is a must stop along with all the other trails and parks along this route, plus the numerous magnificent waterfalls in the area. The basalt cliffs and the forces of nature that it took to make this beautiful landscape are mind-boggling. Built by Mother Nature and shaped by Father Time. As always, leave no trace, leave it better than you found it, and enjoy 😉!

Parking is awesome for these falls and hiked all the way up to fairy falls! It was an amazing trip, definitely wear good sturdy hiking shoes/boots. The way down, I thought would be easier, but it's kinda steep so the balls of my feet were hurting by the time I got back down to flat land. It would be a good idea to walk over to Multhanoma falls from here! Its only half a mile and this way your already parked (parking is free in the lot across from Wahkeena Falls)

Amazingly beautiful area! There is a short but fairly steep hike up the left side of the stream with some great photo spots. To the right is a 0.2 mile paved trail that leads up to a bridge with a spectacular view. Also, another benefit is free parking here and a 0.5 mile hike/walk to Multnomah Falls (where parking is $20).
Alan K — Google review
I was here on October 8th. From this spot, where parking is for free, you can do a 5 mile loop ending at Multnomah falls then walk back to this parking lot, like 5-10 minutes. This 5 mile loop is very pretty and has a number of falls. The only issue with it is that you'll keep hearing the traffic. But this way is easier than starting at Multnomah where a steep ascend is needed. I spent 4 hours here but people can finish it way faster.
Mais K — Google review
This place is amazing. These were the last waterfalls we visited on our Oregon photography tour. I am sure glad we didn't skip this place. These were the most photogenic waterfalls that we saw on our trip. There were quite a few people, but adequate parking was available down the hill and there was scenery right in the parking area and all around. Surprisingly there aren't any fees charged to hike around this place. You can pretty much find the perfect angle to get any camera shot you want.

We stopped by Wahkeena Falls on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend as part of our Columbia River Gorge trip. As expected during a holiday weekend, the entire area was packed with visitors, and it was tough to find parking or take photos without lots of people in the frame. That said, it was still a beautiful stop! The trail around Wahkeena Falls is lush and green, though the foliage was so thick in some areas that the view of the falls itself was a bit overgrown and partially obscured. Despite that, the sound of the rushing water and the surrounding natural beauty made it worth the visit. It’s a peaceful and refreshing stop along the highway, especially if you’re just looking for a quick nature break. If you’re planning to visit during a busy weekend, be prepared for crowds and limited parking—but if you can find a spot, it’s still a rewarding little detour along the Gorge.
Misha S — Google review
Beautiful fall but hard to get a good photo of entire thing due to formation. No hiking involved. You can park here and walk on trail to all the other popular falls, like Multnomah, since parking is tougher in the other popular falls.
Winston D — Google review
My friend says this is her favorite. I believe Multnomah Falls was better overall. But there is a short hike and limited access here so you can't really sense the powerful presence of the waterfalls. But you should take a look.
Julio P — Google review
This is just another gorgeous fall along the Columbia River gorge. You can see some of it at the base. But best to hike up about a quarter of a mile. .25 miles. You can see some of the river as it comes down thru the bushes and trees and rocks. If you hike up the .25 Mike's to the bridge, you get a gorgeous view of the falls. If you are doing photography, be prepared for the mist. Take image from the left side of the falls a littlw bit back. You will be outside the mist. Images also from the right If you are a little bit back. But love the images I got right by the bridge on the right side. Yea mist from the fall. You can keep hiking and find fairy falls. Next time I will do that hike. This is worth the time. If coming from Portland take the Bridal Veil Falls exit and keep going on historic route 30 for about 2.5 miles. There is a good amount of parking and a picnic area and bathrooms. If you keep going another mile or 2 you will hit Multnomah falls.

Subway is a delightful casual dining spot where you can customize your own sandwiches and salads, catering to those who prioritize health-conscious choices. Nestled within the Columbia Gorge Outlets, this particular Subway stands out as the sole eatery in its food court. During my weekend visit, I found it surprisingly quiet, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally friendly; one team member even approached me with plastic cutlery when he noticed I wanted to slice my footlong sandwich.
Located inside the Columbia Gorge Outlets, this Subway was the only restaurant in the food court. It was empty during the time of visit on a weekend. The 2 guys at the counter were courteous and one of them even came to our table proactively to offer us plastic cutlery noticing that we wanted to slice the footlong into halves. The sandwiches were well made, no reason to complain

My sandwich had raw bread. I ordered online, and it said it was ready. I got there, and the women told me they hadn't even started on it. Waited another 20 minutes. She put the wrong cheese and missed some of my toppings...
Kaylee R — Google review
Never been to a subway where there was so much attitude from the staff about making sandwiches. We came with a big family group and they literally said “Oh no” when we got in line. I guess they don’t like big groups of customers? It took maybe 10 mins to make all the sandwiches, and they barked questions at all the kids as they ordered, showing zero patience. There was nobody behind us, but they made it seem like they couldn’t get us out fast enough. They didn’t label any sandwiches, so we had to open them all up to figure it out. It was the worst.
Chris S — Google review
Terrible customer service. Slow to help and when they actually get to you, they act as if you are inconveniencing then by making them perform their job duties. I asked for a footlong cookie and he informed me Subway does not do them anymore, which was a lie. They had signage for the sidekicks as well as allowing me to order pickup in store or curbside from the app at this location. I will never be going back to this location again. I highly recommend you avoid this location and travel the extra few minutes to Cherry Park Rd.

I work in the mall and there's times I want to have a good sandwich. Every time I order a sandwich at this subway here in this mall it is not tasting well and is VERY soggy. I wind up not eating the whole sandwich even though it's only a six inch, it's disgusting. Last visit I came to just get a drink. The machine was empty of vitamin water. Then, this particular visit no ice for the soda machine at all. Warm drink with my meal. Sad to say but i'm not going to be back.
Sherri M — Google review
I placed an order on the subway app and drove down to get my food. When I was almost to the restaurant, one of the employees called me and said they were out of turkey and ham and a lot of other ingredients. I asked her why they didn't call me sooner( they called me about 20 minutes after I had placed the order.) She just said sorry. I told her to just refund me the money back to my card and she told me I would have to do that on the app. I drove back home and did not see an option on the app to request a refund so I called her back and asked her where the option is located. She said she didn't know and said I should drive back down so she could call her manager to see how to refund me my money. I told her I was not going to waste more gas by going back down there just so she could call her manager. I went to the subway website and submitted what had happened and requested my money to be refunded. I got an email back from Ann Bell saying she was sorry and she would talk to her team about how important it is to be professional. Ann did not mention anything to me in the email about the status of my refund or even acknowledge my request about having my money refunded. I have emailed her every day since then and have not received back any response at all. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I am still waiting on my refund of $16.87 nearly a week later.

I've eaten here before, food and service are good! Plenty to sit. There's an arcade machine here. Good luck with getting prizes. Challenging and possible. My son was able to get 1 toy from the machine. Yay!

I am truly amazed at the customer service. Me and my black cousin went to this store to simply get food, yet the woman working would not regard my cousin at all. When my cousin spoke, she regarded me and never even looked at her. After taking my order she went into the back and we could hear extremely disrespectful words towards my cousin, including something about “needing to go back to picking cotton.” This worker needs to be fired immediately.

Restaurant
Taste of Village Chinese Restaurant offers comforting Chinese cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by cocktails from the lounge. The establishment has been serving wonderful food consistently since 2008, even during the current take-out-only situation. Their portions are generous, and being a family-operated business, they deserve support during these challenging times. While closed on Tuesdays, this small family restaurant is highly recommended for their delicious General Tso's Chicken and House Lo Mein.
Be aware this place is take out only. These are the reasons I gave this restaurant 5 stars and it all comes down to the food. Portion size: Excellent & Flavor: Fresh and delicious! Those egg rolls must be made to order they are huge (as big as your hand) crunchy and delicious. The Egg flower soup was such a comfort soup and could've been a meal on it's own. The BBQ pork was tasty (I've had better) but still worth it. The fried rice chef's kiss. I'm pretty sure they charge credit card processing fees which was a bit annoying and the service was fair but it got the job done lol. My friend and went twice in our 3 day trip! No regrets...

Such a delicious choice for dinner or lunch, and breakfast leftovers sometimes. The history in this place is amazing, the food is just as awesome. Thank you Soo much for a wonderful place to eat.

We decided to try this place because Chinese Happiness closed. There was a huge piece of plastic melted into the middle of my egg foo young. Which was already so salty that it was hard to eat. The chicken lo mein my boyfriend got was “okay” he said, but it’s not worth coming back (or eating plastic) for.

The food and service wasn't bad I felt the veggies could have been cooked instead of raw in my noodle bowl and the sauce on the chicken was way to sweet for my liking. The price was good and the atmosphere was pleasant which is in the historic part of troutdale. So my friends if you like raw veggies and sweet chicken definitely give it a shot, jus sayin

Great food delivered to the pub next door....The egg rolls are like puffed Monte Cristo cabbage sandwiches that are light and airy made for the soul! Chil atmosphere and great service.

It is good to have a Chinese meal in this town. But you know most of customers are not Chinese. So please don’t expect too much, you will gain more. The food is much more you can image, so you should order less dishes to make sure you can eat them all. Of of my order:回锅肉,but it just 叉烧肉with many vegetables. 麻婆豆腐should match your taste flavor a little bit. best luck though.

I ordered the kun pao chicken extra spicy (I know I'm kinda crazy right?) and it was just delightful. Had a good kick, even had the extra spice to it. Definitely a great food experience for a good price. Will probably be set to my speed dial.

The restaurant provides a picturesque setting along the Sandy River, featuring beautiful gardens, tall trees, and waterfront views. The establishment prides itself on serving fresh cuisine prepared by skilled local chefs and incorporates mill trees from the property into its construction. One of the best restaurant, I can't explain how breathtaking this place is, they have a very beautiful garden and riverview aside so you can have a nice tour around before you dine, this is my new spot. Staff is very friendly Isabella was very kind and welcoming.

This is one of our favorite sit down restaurants. Food and service has always been impeccable. During the warmer months their patio is very nice and overlooked the river. For sure worth visiting.

Came here for an anniversary dinner, we were visiting from Florida and wanted a nice dinner for our last night, this place exceeded all expectations. We can't stop thinking about this place and can't wait to be back. 10/10 would recommend. The calamari will change your views on how calamari should be made.

Sat outside and enjoyed views of the river. Food was delicious. I had the Miso Glazed Salmon. Shared two desserts with friends and one was gluten free (flourless chocolate cake). Service was really good. Our waitress gave us lots of ideas on places to visit throughout the state.

We have a lovely diner. The staff was amazing very attentive and friendly. The patio overlooks the river and made for nice ambiance. We shared a bottle of wine which was great. Some of the best calamari that I have had, very good. The brisket was melt in your mouth and my ribeye was perfectly cooked. We will be back for sure!

The greater Gresham area is not known for fine dining. We mostly have mid to low priced chains for our eateries. My daughter surprised me with a gift certificate for my wife and I for diner. To my surprise, this was a hidden jewel right under our nose. They have 2 menus. A set dining menu of 4 courses, which is what we chose, or a normal menu. The wait staff was very friendly. They allowed us to chose indoor or outdoor dining. We selected indoor next to a wonderful fireplace that my wife really enjoyed. We split our selections to different items from the set menu, which allowed us to try 8 different items. I choose the brisket, which was a good as I have eaten anywhere. and my wife chose the spinach ravioli. Food was tasty and hot. All courses were served on time. I cannot say I had one compliant. It was plenty of food, and the price was reasonable for a fine dining restaurant.
Paul G — Google review
The food was very good and the portions were good-sized. I left feeling quite full. I liked everything I ordered. The server was kind and patient. We had to wait quite some time for our food (an especially long time for our dessert) but I think that's part of the whole idea . . . we ordered a four course meal and each course was wonderful and yummy. Especially the dessert. The views on the outdoor deck were great. You could see a river and the whole place was tucked away amongst tall firs. Outdoors there's a beautiful garden you can walk through with wisteria, a gazebo, etc. Check out the pictures. This is a nice romantic restaurant. My wife and I had a wonderful time! The only reason for four stars? The exorbitant wait for our dessert.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the east side side of town. Start the day off with Sugarpine Drive-In, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to McMenamins Black Rabbit Restaurant. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Sugarpine Drive-In is a popular drive-through eatery with a walk-up window and outdoor seating, located near a busy swimming area. It's known for its delicious soft serve, salads, sandwiches, and specialty sundae flavors. The food quality exceeds expectations for this type of establishment, with the sandwiches and sides being particularly impressive. Visitors appreciate the covered seating for rainy days and enjoy the nostalgic vibes of the place.
Great vegan options. We carry their sauces in our retail store so took a drive out and it was so worth it. They serve so many people in this tiny place. Lots of extra seating outside. I was told to order ahead online and pickup in the drive thru if you don’t have time to wait fifteen minutes or longer. So great to see heartwarming staff and a clean environment with yummy thoughtful food. This isn’t just slammed together but topped with detail. For sure get their smooth yummy ice cream and pork sandwich. Their grilled cheese and salad looked so good too.
Hallstrom H — Google review
We stopped at Sugarpine Drive-In on the way back from Multnomah Falls. The service was quick to get us seated, but the food took a bit longer to come out—understandable given how busy they were. We tried the shrimp roll, which is similar to a lobster roll but made with shrimp. I thought it was light and refreshing, but my wife wasn’t a fan. We also ordered the waffle grilled cheese with tomato soup, and that combo is definitely a must-try—comforting and delicious. I sampled the potato salad as well, but I probably wouldn’t order that again. Unfortunately, we had to skip the ice cream since the line was long and our toddler had reached their limit. Overall, it’s a fun stop with some standout items. Worth a visit if you’re in the area—especially for the grilled cheese and soup.

Food, atmoaphere, and concept is 5 starts. Service is 2 star. The mandatory 20% gratuity for "equity" purpouses is a bit strange, especially with how we were treated at the counter. I'd rather have that cost added onto the menu price and have them pay employees more with a no tipping policy. One staff member was kind and greeted us as we walked in, but the woman at the counter was a bit rude, impatient, and seemed annoyed at my questions regarding menu items. She also grabbed the paper menues out of my hands and put them away, as I was still looking at them, then told us to go sit down and wait for our order. Food came out beautiful and delicious. Flavors were unique, seasonal, fresh, and well balanced. Some menu items did have some processed ingredients like (corn syrup and citric acid, if you care about avoiding that stuff) but most components seem real and fresh.

I've been wanting to go to Sugarpine for a long time and finally got to during October, apple month. Everything we got was delicious! The seasonal grilled cheese with pork belly went perfectly with their tomato soup. My husband got the meatloaf sandwich and he said it was amazing. We shared the seasonal apple fritter sundae - it was all so good. Wish we lived a bit closer, but we'll definitely try to come back!
Jillian T — Google review
The sandwiches are delicious and beautiful! Highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich with an ube bun! A server came out and refilled our water and took excellent care of us. Thank you Shannon! The Special Sunday was absolutely delightful. Excellent vibes all around. Only 20 mins from Portland proper.
Angela A — Google review
20% service charge on everything for a non-sit down restaurant is insane to me. Don’t get me wrong - it’s GOOD, but nothing is a flat 20% good when no one is brining food to your table, clears it or refilling drinks… Cute vibes, great ice cream and sandwiches.
Silas W — Google review
Truly my ideal spot to eat. Friendliest staff ever, dog friendly, incredibly delicious food, and fabulous ice cream to finish the meal. I knew the ice cream would be good from the pics, but I was shocked how good the rice bowl I had was. Not only was it HUGE, but it was so flavorful. They were also very accommodating to my gluten allergy!! One of my new faves in Portland!
Mel — Google review
One of the few places in our area where all of our allergy needs can be met, and we can enjoy ice cream treats together. The menu is very clear, especially for those with dairy or gluten issues, and the flavor is still amazing! The line is usually long, and its hard to get parking on the weekends, but this place is one of a kind, so worth the inconvenience. Grab a treat and take a walk down to the river next door, or enjoy the view of the river from the pedestrian portion of the bridge.

Visitors can enjoy open play areas, riverfront access, and a meeting hall within the park grounds. The serene riverside setting makes it an ideal spot for family outings or leisurely afternoons.
We went dipping for smelt here (when it was allowed) and it was FUN. The access to the river was not very far but it was rocky and slippery. Parking lot was full but spots opened up. Not for the elderly or for those who are not sure-footed. This activity was a 3rd time in 10 years event though so do not attempt to fish for these endangered fish when it is not allowed. Fishing license is required and ODFW rangers will check your limits.

Great spot! Clean and the water is nice. There is a good current that runs through this spot. Life jackets are available on the beach across the bridge. Bring your floats for zippy river fun!
Carrie B — Google review
This is a nice park with a kids playground, kitchen area and lots of picnic tables and places to sit. The bathrooms appeared clean. The signage is a bit confusing as it states no dogs but then another sign says dogs welcome on leash so we are still not sure if dogs are allowed or not or where they are allowed. There is a nice trail that takes you down to the water, not sure how far it goes as we only followed the one path and turned around when we had to walk along the shoreline rocks.
Sheri L — Google review
Nice park with Worst parking app ever. Must pay online through Passport Parking, which tries to force you to download a whole app just to park. Kills entire nature experience. Scrap that crap. No kiosk to pay. I saw multiple senior citizens standing confused in parking lot and looks like they decided to leave. Do better Troutdale. Shame on you.

Came here for a private celebration on a very hot day! Our party used the community building. It was a nice size with clean bathrooms and a nice size kitchen. I believe it accommodated a group of about 100 people. Fyi: the building does not have AC. It was Very hot in the building for an evening (5-8pm) event. I did notice a super cool bbq outside that is made with bricks and looks like you could cook for a large gathering with it. There is a parking lot that shares with parking for river access and a small restaurant. On this particularly hot Friday evening the parking lot was full! There is handicap parking and some paved smooth paths. You can get to the bathrooms and playground by level paved paths. Lots of picnic tables and grassy areas very nicely shaded. The playground was not huge, but had slides and swings. It was right next to a basket ball hoop. I did not go down any paths to the river this visit, but it looked like they were a bit rougher and sloped. Safety note: Since it is close to a drop off that leads to a river you do have to keep a close eye on kids. The park itself felt very safe. It was clean and we'll maintained.

Tad's Chicken N' Dumplins is a charming 1920s roadhouse that offers classic American dishes in a cozy, wood-paneled setting with a lovely riverfront patio. The restaurant exudes a wonderful Pacific Northwest atmosphere and is located just off the scenic highway, making it an ideal stop for those seeking an authentic dining experience.
Such a cool historical restaurant. The music is old school 20’s to 40’s the view is amazing. This place has been around since the Great Depression. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. The portions are large and taste comforting like grandma used to make. I would eat hear again in an instance. Family of 4 is going to cost you $100 but worth it. 5 stars.

Cute rustic looking. We shared chicken and dumplings order. There was plenty for sharing and they bring extra big home made dumplings and extra gravy. This is a must stop when in Troutdale. Sorry I didn't take a picture of giant dumplings

Outstanding service and scrumptious comfort food at Tad’s. While you might think they only serve chicken and dumplings, they also offer salads, pasta, seafood, and beef dishes. Large chunks of light and dark meat chicken are hidden under dumplings that are like puffy pillows smothered in chicken gravy. One order will feed two people. Frankly, these are better than Mom used to make!

Ambience was fantastic. Portion size was huge. Staff was great… it’s pretty lame they want to charge you $2 if you want to share an entree though… if it wasn’t for that then I’d have rated 5 stars.

If you're on the hunt for a unique dining experience, Troutini is a must-visit destination that beautifully marries sophisticated cocktail culture with French-inspired New American cuisine. This charming bar and restaurant shines with its commitment to fresh, local ingredients, particularly in their seafood offerings that capture the essence of the Pacific Northwest. Even if you’re not typically a fan of trout, fear not! The menu boasts an array of delightful options beyond just fish.
Our extend family live out in this area and raved about this place...We checked it out with them - party of 7...it’s a small place but they pack a lot of tables in...All of the martini’s are handmade so it can take some time but it’s worth the wait....You have to be careful though since it can sneak up on you....the food options are just as abundant - highly recommend you try whatever is calling your name because you won’t be disappointed. If only it was not the distance it is from my home, I would frequent more often but it gives me a great excuse to go visit family and stop in before or after that visit or just have them meet me there since we all love this place.

Excellent food. You can tell the chef cares about his food so much. Each dish is a work of art for sure. So balanced and savory on every dish. Atmosphere is great. The jazz on Tuesdays is so fun. Happy hour is good. It's a must go and my favorite for good food in the area. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Spend the extra $5 per plate "compared to chains like Ram or claim jumper" to get something worth triple that. The pork chop is one of the best I have ever had.

Troutini is easy to walk past without noticing- it’s next to a dog day spa 😂- but once you step inside, the comfy- eclectic martini bar vibe greets you warmly. My friend invited me here @6pm on a Thursday and it was fairly busy. He enjoyed the colorful signature Troutini and I very much enjoyed a velvety smooth 2013 Tempranillo by Paul O’Brien. We did not have dinner here but ordered a snack plate which wasn’t beautiful. I didn’t love it to be honest , I’m more of a goat, sheep cheese, olive berry , seeded cracker, spreads & pate kinda lady and this was more grade school lunch box rolled up meat, grapes and blue cheese -whatever’s left in the kitchen plate -💕 but the peanut brittle portion disappeared quickly.

Great service, the waiter split the burger for us and the salad tasted very fresh. I can see however that if it was busier the wait may be a while as they do prep things from scratch.

Been here twice and have had an exceptional meal both times. I've had the filet, scallops, Caesar salad, and seafood skewer. Everything was cooked to perfection, exactly as I ordered it. Service is great - friendly, attentive engaging, and prompt. My only request is I wish they would expand their non-IPA selection on tap. They did have Mac's Amber, which is an outstanding beer, so my complaint is a minor one. It's a popular place so you definitely want to call ahead and make reservations. It also tends to get loud with all the rambunctious drinkers like myself, so if you want a quiet, romantic meal, go early, or go during an off meal time. Highly recommended.

The food here was amazing. The ambiance was very cozy. The staff was very friendly and gave good options on the food they enjoyed most. Nicole was our waitress and was great at checking in with us. The cocktail menu was very good. I have a French fiesta which had some fancy liquer, tequila, hibiscus syrup and a hibiscus flower. Strong, but delicious. My wife had an Irish coffee and said it was just as good as she had in Ireland. For an appetizer we had the Beer Fondue which was bread/homemade pretzels and beer cheese. Super delicious. I had the chicken pot pie for my entree. It. Was. Amazing. The gravy was on point. My wife had the Bolognese and it was also great. The noodles were expertly cooked. For desert we had an apple crisp which had just the right about of cinnimon and the apples cooked just enough so they had the slightest crunch, melded with a delicious oat covering and a nice scoop of vanilla on top. We will be back.

I was a little hesitant at first, I don't eat trout, but love Martinis, so soldered on, figured that I could drink my way through the trout. I wasn't at all that surprised to find more than a rainbow or browny on the menu. If you need to know, this restaurant is frenchish in style, every plate i saw looked fabulous. I had the chicken pot pie my wife countered with the duck En Crout, booth are to die for, and you might if you are not supposed to eat this kind of food, but then you are missing out. Our server Maria was on her maiden run as an evening server, she did a great job. Drinks were hand crafted. See you again next time I am in town

While mask mandates had been lifted, one individual in the group was at severe risk and took extra precautions. Thankfully, heaters at the table ensured a comfortable experience.

A really good choice. We had fish and chips, the fries were absolutely wonderful with the salty sweet Mesquite seasoning we had brussels sprouts with bacon and it was delicious. Also, we tried the fondue with rye bread. It was delicious. I believe you can order fondue and fries, which might have been just as good. The service was absolutely outstanding and the beer was cold and the food came out very quickly. I would definitely come here again.

A nice place to just sit and enjoy a good conversation with friends and family. The food was great and so was the service. I would definitely recommend it for anyone that enjoys a great place to unwind and relax!

This is a cozy oak & brick pub situated in downtown troutdale. And qe have just eaten the best nachos that have ever existed, and we do not regret it one bit. A thing of beauty!

Very cool pub atmosphere! Our server and bartender was terrific. The cosmo and raspberry mule was amazing! The grilled chicken taco salad and Bleu burger were excellent. Love this place!

This is a great little Irish pub! The food is excellent and the service is good. I have been there three times now and I ordered dips which were good but the last time I ordered fish and chips!!! Wow, the fish and chips were probably the best I have ever eaten!!!

What a fabulous establishment! We had a great lunch with amazing service!! Prices were great and the food was on point. They have specials everyday and today was homemade Mac and cheese with meatloaf and garlic cheese bread. They have a fun bar with beer and hard alcohol. There is indoor seating in two different spaces and outdoor seating. On the old historic Hwy in Troutdale above the outlet mall!

Nestled within the main lodge of Edgefield, McMenamins Black Rabbit Restaurant is a delightful dining destination open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant boasts stunning murals that celebrate the rich history of Edgefield and the Columbia River Gorge, creating an inviting backdrop for your meal. With cozy booths designed for intimate dining experiences, guests can savor a diverse menu featuring innovative Northwest cuisine alongside beloved traditional dishes. The extensive selection of regional wines perfectly complements your meal choices.
The culinary offerings are equally impressive. I opted for a medium-well steak accompanied by fries, which were exceptionally delectable. The ambiance is another notable asset, characterized by its cozy ambiance and adequate lighting. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Despite the cost of approximately $50, the experience is highly worthwhile.

What can I say about the tater tots? They were absolutely fire. Very delicious. Unfortunately, the Aztec salad and pizza we got were quite average. In fact, I would call them quite forgettable. On top of that, they were wildly overpriced at 19 bucks for the salad at 24 for the pizza. But they weren't bad by any means. As a visitor to the area, I would also have to give props to the atmosphere and overall experience. It's wild how the restaurant is on the same piece of land as a distillery, hotel, par-3 course, and glass blowing studio, to name a few things. Anyways, the tater tots are the only worthwhile thing there.

We were excited for the poppyseed muffin; $5 and straight from the bakery?! It must be scrumptious! It was sooo disappointing; it was small, sticky, a little bit stale, and not even warm. Good lemon flavor, but that's it. I got the pancakes, and I was expecting actual blueberries, but only got a drizzle of lemon and blueberry sauce, which wasn't enough for two whole pancakes. My brother and dad liked their's alright, but agreed it wasn't stellar. I liked the potatoes. I guess this place is just convenient if you're staying at the hotel. We had a slow waiter, although welcoming and kind. The restaurant has fun paintings on the walls and comfy booths, but it's dimly lit and I have a theory that dim lighting = dim food. This restaurant followed suit. Also, very white. Literally everyone we saw was white.

McMenamins are usually pretty mediocre with the food and this was actually better than usual. We made a reservation and showed up late and were graciously seated. The menu is accessible and normal, nothing super special. The salmon chowder was so delicious! The tater tots are tasty, the eggs benedict was really good. The only thing that was terrible was the avocado toast, how!?! NO seasoning, the bread wasn't warm or toasted, the salad green weren't dressed. It honestly made us laugh but hey, the rest was good and better than mediocre so can't complain.

The atmosphere was relaxing, beautiful, peaceful, warm, and low lighting. Took my husband on a date. My husband said the atmosphere was tranquil. We had excellent service. Our server brought us water and asked if we were ready to order, came back after a few minutes. Our server even talked about the dishes, and talked to us in general. He was a delight. My husband ordered the steak and I ordered the steelhead dinner. However, I was very torn on getting the burger. I decided the steelhead and it did not disappoint. Our dishes were absolutely perfect. There were no leftovers. For dessert we got the ice cream. We liked the berry one for sure the mint one wasn't too bad. I'd definitely get both again. We definitely enjoyed our night out and can't wait to go back.

We stopped in here yesterday for dinner. We arrived a little before the dining room opened, so we ate in the bar. I tried the chopped salad. It was very good! My mom tried the grilled cheese. It was huge, but tasty. My father had a burger and said it was very good, as well.

I was very disappointed that they had taken the Gluten Free pancakes off the menu. There are very few gluten free options and these pancakes were amazing and the sole reason I would make the trip to Edgefield. These days with so many people having gluten issues they should be adding more gluten free options instead of removing one of the only gluten free options.

Bandit's Bar & Grill is a popular local spot in Troutdale, offering great service and a cozy atmosphere. The menu boasts unique house-made items like the Cuban sandwich with bacon, smoked chicken salad, and homemade potato chips. While it can get crowded at times, the pub has a lovely outdoor seating area and hosts well-staffed events in the back room. The decor includes ornamental guns on the wall, adding to its distinctive ambiance.
This bar is great! Had the SW Munchers. It had potato, jalapeños, & cheddar cheese inside. Very yummy. Also had the chicken nachos, & they were delicious. Love how they smoke the chicken. Super good! Drinks & service was great as well! They also have video poker & back patio which is a bonus !

This is a good neighborhood bar with some expertly smoked food. Small bar with standard on taps and liquors. The thing that stands out here is the food. Much of it is smoked, and expertly so. I had the smoked meatloaf sandwich, and it was really good. The meat is cut and then gently, perfectly smoked so you get the flavor all over the meat. Very basic seasoning highlights the smoke, and some competent crispy fries accompanied. The people are super nice, service was excellent, music is on point if you dig 80’s, and the bar is clean and interesting to look at.

A great choice for a meal in Troutdale. We had the housesmoked salmon sandwich and the smoked meatloaf one and split them. They both were excellent. Recommended.

If you're into drinking I'm sure this is a great place. I got referred to this place by someone local. I'm from out of town, and was hungry. I got the crab cake hush puppies and the salmon burger. The hush puppies were burned. All of them. I ate 2 of them because the parts that weren't burned tasted pretty good. The salmon burger was falling apart from the moment I touched it. Decided to cut it in half and try my luck that way. Overall the burger wasn't bad. It wasn't great either though. I was expecting more flavor. I understood what they were trying to do with the food and I appreciated the thought. Unfortunately the execution was lacking. I tipped generously because my server was also working the bar and greeting people but never forgot about me, so I appreciated it. My biggest suggestion is: consider paring down the menu. Get super good at 2 or 3 things. There may be some incredible food there, but I didn't get any of that. Probably won't be back...

Popped in after a quick search for food after paddling at Dalton Point. Amazing little spot. Staff were ALL incredible. Great smoked chicken on my salad. Delicious 1/2 lb burger; delicious house made ranch sauce, made my day! I'd consider moving nearby just to become a "regular". Can't wait to try more of their fantastic menu. You should go here.

Jamie was a great bartender, waitress and host! She was the only person working out front and she didn’t skip a beat. I expected a long wait, but she kept moving and taking care of everybody all the while exchanging a few words of conversation. There was a good crowd of people with very few empty seats, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and I think a lot of them knew each other. There’s a couple large screen TVs and some video games. Good selection of beer and a great food menu, I had a difficult time because there were so many things I wanted to try. We had the chicken gizzards as an appetizer and I got the turkey Reuben with tots and my friend got the Dirty Boat. If you’re in Troutdale, stop in.

Pizza restaurant
LoLo's Boss Pizza in Troutdale is a vibrant eatery that specializes in an impressive selection of pizzas, featuring inventive toppings that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Alongside their mouthwatering pies, they also offer fresh salads and a variety of beers to complement your meal. Whether you opt for takeout or dine-in, the experience is delightful; while takeout may not capture the full essence of dining there, it still delivers on flavor.
Friendliest food establishment ever. Lovely options for all kinds of eaters! Gluten free for my pal, meat-filled for my partner and vegan pie for me. Lovely almonds and focaccia as appetizers. Filling thin crunchy crust was just what we needed.

First time in the area. Staying at Ainsworth SP. after reading reviews, I gave this place a try for a lunch pizza to go. Staff was nice and helpful. The pizza, a family with double pepperoni was outstanding. I got the thin crust and the chewy crush was a treat. Very happy I chose here.

Service is decent. Wasn't busy. We did come in at a later time. Might have influenced the service. The pizza was decent. We'll have to try something different when it comes to the pizza. Cheesy bread was delicious with the house (red) sauce. Small selection on taps. It's worth a go of your in the area. I'll would try it again in the future. Just not the same pizza we tried this time.

Delicious (gluten free) pizza! Cannot recommend enough! We were staying at McMenimins Edgefield but came here for dinner one night and it was the best decision! We loved the Farm-to-Pizza special.

Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had—no exaggeration. We’re visiting from Texas and have traveled all over the country trying out local pizza joints, but nothing compares to Lolo’s Boss Pizza. The crust alone is a masterpiece—clearly handmade, perfectly crispy on the edges, yet soft and airy on the inside. Every topping was bursting with freshness and flavor, and the light craft beer paired with it was spot on. The vibe in this place is just as incredible as the food. Relaxed, welcoming, and full of character. You can tell there’s heart behind everything they do here. I honestly didn’t expect to be blown away, but this pizza completely changed the game for me. If you’re anywhere near this place—go. It’s a must.

Really impressed with this place... I live in Clackamas area now but used to live in Portland and this is some of the best pizza I've had in the whole area. Fun space, good beer and wine selection, outdoor seating. Their bar stools could be a bit bigger but it's all good. Will definitely come back.

I truly thought I was out of luck on finding great pizza after moving from Virginia. But I finally found this incredible spot in a little, historic, and cozy small town—what a discovery! Honestly, this is one of the best pizzas I’ve had in months. The crust was perfect, and the red sauce really stood ou and that the nice glazed pear touch! Everyone was so friendly, and I love that it’s located right next to a fantastic local ice cream place. Skip the doubt and make the drive—it's 100% worth the 47-minute trip from Beaverton. Highly recommend!

For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Imagination Station. Not quite as popular as Sandy River Delta, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Playground
Imagination Station is a fantastic park suitable for all ages, featuring ample parking, bathrooms, fields, and picnic tables. The play structure pays tribute to Oregon's landmarks and history and caters to various age groups. While the newer structure is well-maintained, it can get quite intense on hot days due to sun exposure. The park offers a wide range of activities for kids and adults alike, with sections designed specifically for young children.
We have never been and I took the boys for spring break. We all had a great time. The only thing is they open late and close early. I wish we had more time . The restroom were very clean, the rides were fun for all ages, and the games were easy to win prizes.
Chad R — Google review
Great playground lovely place wide enough for adults to run around with their kids and they have a young kids section that are meant for young children. I wish It was up kept better there is graffiti and other stuff just around. It still a fun place I'd recommend checking it out and looking at it. Soft padded ground makes it nice for barefoot play if you like. They have toddler and children's swings there too, they also have regular swings too. A lot of things here are more safe than other playgrounds.
Harley S — Google review
Great playground , age appropriate equipment spaced out. Nice mural. But several holes in floor mats. Shady Trees, green grass, picnic tables, and restrooms. Playground is next to a parking lot not a busy street. Officers patrol for teens.
Lottie P — Google review
Pretty extensive play area with a 5-12 section and separated 2-5 age section. No standout attraction like a zipline sadly. Kids disappear into the fortress and just play like kids.
Mike J — Google review
Quality built and structurally sound play structures, a special section for little ones under 5 and lots of seating for parents and caregivers. Lots of parking and a huge soccer and grass field to layout or play on. Be cautious that there are maybe 1 or 2 metal slides and they do get hot and will burn/irritate your child’s skin if it the sun is out; They sit directly in the sunlight. Other than that, it is a great place to bring the littles or to just enjoy a day out at the park.
Qui — Google review
Such a cool place for kids of all ages! We took our toddler here & he had a blast. Definitely will come back. The only thing that I didn’t like what how dirty the play structures were😩 but again, not surprised Oregon cities don’t take care of their parks.
Auxie P — Google review
This was so much fun for my two girls. I really like that they had a section for smaller kids, however, like some other reviewers have said it is hard to keep an eye on more than one kid. I'll definitely be coming back but with my husband so we can split up with the kids. They also had lots of picnic tables, a covered area and bathrooms (bring your hand sanitizer though). The ice cream truck came through too which was exciting for the kids.
Melissa S — Google review
I'm just happy they still have places for children and families to go. Seems like they are disappearing by the day. But this park is huge and in a school zone so very safe. My daughter absolutely loves it

Gresham Farmers' Market

4.6
(786)
Farmers' market
Gresham Farmers' Market is a non-profit outdoor marketplace held in the Center for the Arts Plaza in historic downtown Gresham every Saturday from May through October. Established in 1986, it offers a wide array of local produce, flowers, handcrafted food items, baked goods, homemade toiletries, wine, artisan crafts and live music. The market promotes a family-friendly atmosphere and encourages shoppers to adhere to safety measures such as maintaining distance and wearing masks.
This place is hopping! Tons and tons of great booths and carts with just fantastic food, so much music you can hear throughout, various local flair of all kinds on display and for sale and on the people too! The central park is a nice hub for kids and dogs (so many dogs!) to walk around and find some grass and a breeze to sit on & relax for a bit from the walking. Local businesses are open and even have their own carts and booths. Almost everyone uses both cash and electronic payments, so no stress there. You can find anything, really, from homemade donuts to custom knives and sharpening services to jewelry and stones to pet supplies to fresh lemonade to hot Philippino food. Even the proud men and women of the Gresham VFW Great Post 180 are present at every market day with free "Buddy Poppies" and cute little rubber ducks (no squeaker!) they hand out for free, in recognition of those that helped make our freedom free. Believe me, this is no small town walkabout. It's awesome.

Parking is a nightmare. Had to park 3+ blocks away. Most food vendors were sold out of most of their items by 12:30. Especially the bbq truck. Places that did have food left had insane lines. So came and left hungry. Most of the produce vendors were just selling lettuce, and it was not even organic going for $3-$4 a head? I saw one Mexican pastry place, one place that had cinnamon rolls, but no bakery place with bread or anything like that. One fish vendor, $35 a fillet. One beef/meat vendor, couldn't read their price sign. Lots of booze if you're into that. Some cute artisan stuff.

Such a great way to spend my Saturday mornings. So many different vendors. Great food, great fries and veggies, tons of art. They have a few large events each year and they are a lot of fun. We just did the annual car show and it's one of the largest car shows I know of.

Love the wide variety of produce, pasta, hummus, foods, and hand crafter goods. I always stop by Slice of Heaven Farm for lettuces, cucumbers, radishes, and more. Nestled within the historic charm of McMenamins Edgefield Winery & Tasting Room, this enchanting destination has a rich history dating back to 1911 when it was originally built as a refuge for those in need. Over the years, it has transformed into a vibrant complex featuring not only a hotel but also a distillery, winery, spa, and various dining options.
Hailey, our incredible server, was amazing, knowledgeable, patient, and delightful company! If you get the chance to interact with her, consider yourself a lucky duck. My partner and I each had a different flight and ended up going home with two tasty bottles. I can't wait to come back!!

A fun and lively place to taste local wine, McMenamins Edgefield Winery is always worth a visit. I’ve been a few times and always enjoy the laid-back atmosphere — and if you’re lucky, you might catch some live music, which adds to the charm. The only downside is that when the music is playing, it can get pretty loud, making it less ideal if you’re hoping for quiet conversation. The food, served at the Black Rabbit Bar, is always excellent. Whenever I eat there, I make sure to order the Dry-Fried Chicken Wings made with soy, ginger, and Thai chili — you really can’t go wrong with these! The service can be a little on the slow side, but it’s always worth the wait. My favorite wine is the White Rabbit — a fruity, refreshing white that’s perfect for a sunny afternoon. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for a casual outing, Edgefield Winery offers a fun and memorable experience.
Alyssa G — Google review
Edgefield is probably McMenamins biggest properties. It has a distillery, winery and brewery onsite. The food is pretty good at the various restuarants on property. Its mostly burgers/sandwhiches but done well. They also a small golf course, soaking pools, movie theater and pool hall. All of the alcohol is made onsite and has an extra element of locally produced to it. I recommend getting your McMenamins passport and taking advantage of the perks.

What a fun place to stay and explore! The events are hit and miss but the entire property is amazing. Stayed here this weekend for the Syrah celebration and everything was well planned and organized. The dinner was great but keep in mind it’s prefix and they don’t offer alternative options. I was expecting the grand tasting to be overly crowded but it was very spacious and there were little to no lines. I would do this event again! Went here for a Halloween event and the bar was completely understaffed it took 30-40 minutes to wait in line for a drink. The band was also outdated and refused to make requests. There are so many activities to try on the priory and a variety of food and drink options. In addition the soaking pool is amazing! You won’t go wrong booking a night here.

I visited Edgefield for the Crackedpots Reuse Art Show. It was fun! And on this hot day it was great that the booths were mostly underneath some beautiful trees :) There were a lot of different and unique items. The atmosphere was relaxed and the people were friendly!

Really fun, relaxing place to walk around, enjoy a meal or just to have a drink or two. Edgefield features a hotel, spa with soaking pool, several restaurants and bars. It's a hotel with several acres of gardens and even a small golf course. Our most recent trip we saw humming birds and even a red tailed hawk on the grounds.

The Barn Exhibit Hall & Troutdale Historical Society in Oregon is a must-visit for travelers exploring the Historic Columbia River Highway. The main exhibit, "King of Roads - Byway of the People," delves into the highway's construction, preservation, and restoration, showcasing it as a remarkable engineering feat of the twentieth century. Founded by John Nasmyth and the Troutdale Historical Society, this venue not only displays farm equipment but also houses various donated artifacts that contribute to Troutdale's history.
What a great treasure to find. While this is a small museum, it is packed with great photos, historical information and artifacts. The staff is great in providing additional information about the area. I highly recommend a visit if your travels take you through Troutdale!

We had a very informative visit to the Barn Exhibit Hall and the Harlow House. It was fascinating to learn about some of Troutdale's early history, much of it surprisingly colorful! Worth visiting and revisiting, and definitely worth going on a guided tour if possible. The staff and volunteers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

It's only open Sundays 1-4 PM and admission is free but, we went on a Saturday...oops 🙄. Still a good time though; walked around on the trails behind it. It will be nice to go back once things are in bloom.

If you wanted to know all about the beautiful Columbia River Highway, this is it! Fantastic displays detail the people and places that made it a true engineering masterpiece. From its inception to its destruction and eventual restoration, this museum is a must visit for anyone who loves the gorge and especially the old highway.
Mack P — Google review
Great little museum that has a cool exhibit about the origin of the Columbia Gorge Scenic Highway. Also some history about the great city of Troutdale. The museum also has some very interesting books and souvenirs.
Richard G — Google review
This place was really interesting and could be a bigger attraction if more knew about it. Essentially, it is a museum of the Columbia River Highway: America's 1st Scenic Byway, and they should rename it something like that so more people know what this museum is all about (and add a cool sign on the nearby highway.) It's actually very interesting. The treacherous roads in the rainy and therefore, muddy roads, became practically impassable and a few good men envisioned a different way to travel in a time of a new concept: the personal motorized vehicle. Only open Sun 1-3 and admission is free for Multnomah Cty residents and $5 for everyone else, so make sure you put this place on your list for the weekend!

Lovely place to stop and learn about the local historic sights. Great postcards!

This is a cute little set of museums just past downtown Troutdale. What the lack in quantity they make up for in quality. They have a great exhibit on the history of the old highway and it's local businesses. The staff are friendly and genuinely seem to have fun working there. The house next door is fun to walk around and see the old furniture, appliay and fixtures. Out behind the museum is part of the Oregon trail as well.

Nature & Parks
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing at the Friends of the Sandy River Delta twice, and it’s an amazing location for professional photoshoots in the area. The park is expansive, filled with beautiful, leafy trees, and offers open spaces and river access, making it ideal for engagement, wedding, and maternity photoshoots. The sunsets here are stunning, providing perfect lighting for portraits. This park is also great for family photos with pets since it’s very dog-friendly. There’s a restroom conveniently located near the entrance, which is a plus for clients. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a scenic, natural backdrop
Taras P — Google review
If you are looking for nature this isn't the park. Too many dogs and 99% are off leash despite posted signs asking to keep dogs leashed. Reasons for leashing include: 🐦 Wildlife protection - dogs disturb and can harm wildlife 🌿 Environmental conservation - trample plants, disturb habitat, cause erosion ☠️ Safety for the dog - cliffs, poisonous plants, defensive wildlife ❌ Courtesy for others - not everyone is comfortable with dogs
Alec P — Google review
A wonderful, open space where one can find solace, or company. I do wish that the Feienda group would bring in bark chips to cover the worst of the mud this time of year. Even I reluctantly go off trail to avoid the worst of it. Others skirting the edges end up widening the trail. Also, could a few boot brushes be brought in? Thank you!

Full of friendly people and dogs. My dogs had a blast on and off leash. Could use some more labels on which paths to take and not run in to a camp.

Tetra Cannabis, a Troutdale marijuana dispensary, is highly praised by visitors for its excellent selection of products. Customers have raved about the large variety of unique strains from different growers across the state and the great deals on offer. The friendly and helpful staff have been highlighted as a major plus point, with many customers recommending this spot for both locals and visitors to the area.
Literally the nicest people ever! So friendly, so knowledgeable. Amazing selection as well ranging from flower to edibles and everything in between. I only go here now and suggest it to everyone I know to as well. Good people! And yes, they have a sweetheart shop puppy. 🩷 13/10 would recommend

I am from out of state and I was visiting a family member who was on hospice care. Really needed something to get me through the hard times so I stopped in here to grab a cart. Take this how you will, but I’ve never been a Karen about this stuff, however I got a cartridge that was bunk. Tried multiple batteries and troubleshooting options that point to the cart just being a dud. I called the store and they said if I can’t bring it in, there’s nothing they can do for me?? First off, I live out of state which so I understand rules and regulations may be different. However in my legal state (Illinois) you can file a claim and even show proof with pictures/videos. I left my info with the person I was speaking to for a manager to hopefully reach out to me but I haven’t heard anything. All the reviews talk about how chill this place is but it’s not really chill to have nonexistent customer service.

Quick little 100 foot hike down a hill and to the middle of shephards dell waterfall. Beautiful!
Jessica E — Google review
Most people skip this place, which is too bad, because it’s one of the best waterfall experiences in the gorge! It’s easy to understand, however, why people miss it. The Columbia River Highway is narrow and windy, with many blind curves. Shepherds Dell sneaks up on you, and I would imagine that a lot of people don’t even see the sign. They pass it before they even realize it was there. Unlike other waterfalls, you cannot see very much of anything without getting out of the car. All the action is below the bridge. If you don’t get out of the car, you will miss it completely. But one step below the bridge, and you will realize that it’s a worthwhile stop. Just below the bridge, there is a narrow paid footpath that goes from the highway, down by somewhat steep path, about the length of a football field. It curves gently to the right, and you find yourself at the top of a beautiful waterfall. The falls run directly under the bridge, and the beauty of this tiny little natural area is that you can see the whole thing in 5 minutes. It’s perfect for our Instagram/TicTok era attention span. A potential difficulty is that there is no actual parking lot, just a larger than average pull-out after the bridge. This makes it easier to miss, but it also adds to its charm.
David B — Google review
One of my favorite waterfalls & bridge. Gorgeous stone wall trail leads down to a creek cascading into the waterfall. Just beautiful. We had this one to ourselves which was awesome to enjoy. Fall colors peeking through the green was lovely.

Nestled in a historic setting, McMenamins Power Station Theater & Pub offers a unique blend of dining and entertainment that dates back to 1911 when it originally served as the Multnomah County Poor Farm's power station. This charming venue is perfect for enjoying lunch, dinner, or catching a movie while savoring delicious food and drinks. Guests appreciate the vibrant atmosphere and the option to relax at the hotel or unwind in the spa’s soaking pool after their meal.
This place was fascinating. My husband and I were visiting from out of town, and decided to try this place for lunch. Of course we accidentally walked into the lodge first, and wondered around until one of the information desk workers told us how to get to the pub. The garden we walked through was beautiful. The grounds themselves were a sight to see. Once we made to the pub we were able to get seated quickly. Our waitress was super sweet and was able to tell us about some of the history of the place. Loved our beers and the burgers were cooked perfectly. Will definitely recommend this place to others!

We enjoy checking out new restaurants that McMenamins locations have to offer. The menu has some very good items to choose from. It was not very busy when we came in to sit down to eat. I did think that it took a little too long to come to our table to welcome us and take a drink order. The food was good.

Power Station Pub – Overpriced, Underwhelming, and Pint-Sized Pints Tucked away on the grounds of McMenamin’s Edgefield, the Power Station is a charming historic spot—eclectically decorated to match its artsy, nostalgic surroundings. So far, so good. But let’s talk about what really matters: beer and food. Either my eyes have grown or these so-called “pints” have shrunk. Four years ago, the price was lower and the glass was fuller. Now my Sunflower IPA runs $7.75, and while it tasted fine, it wasn’t exactly a TravelValue. Was I blown away? NAH. My wife’s Smokestack Mac & Cheese ($18.75) was dry as a bone and barely warm. Not exactly comfort food. My Reuben Kincaid sandwich ($22.75), on the other hand, came out hot, as did the Cajun tots. Points for that. And yes, I rhyme sometimes … I guess that makes me a culinary Longfellow. Still, $23 for a sandwich? Prices here have skyrocketed into the stratosphere. We’ve lived abroad and seen inflation, but this level of price gouging would get you laughed out of a Portuguese café. After dinner, we waddled over to the Winery Bar—a skinny little room where $14 glasses of wine are apparently the norm. WHAAAAT? That’s not ambiance, that’s insanity. We came. We ate. We paid too much. We left unimpressed. CombatCritic Gives Power Station Pub 5 Bombs Out Of 10 💣💣💣💣💣 … More Bombs Are Better – Unless You’re On The Receiving End!

EDIT: I went back and got the Portland dip, it was disgusting. Had no flavor and nothing stood out. Very disappointed. Spinach dip was flavorful and actually decent. But avoid that sandwich if you want to be satisfied by a meal. Food was ok, we hit happy hour and everything was great, I couldn't get a refill on the strawberry lemonade which was a bit odd business choice imo for a $6 lemonade. Tater tots are good and so was the sliders, Caesar salad was a bit under seasoned and light on dressing/flavor. Atmosphere was cool to look at but it was very loud inside, hard to hear someone sitting across from you.
JK — Google review
If it had just been overpriced it would be okay, maybe 3 star or something. Unfortunately, I was served water that had a putrid dog scent and flavor. I accidentally drank it. One of the worst of any restaurant. The waitress claimed it was a common complaint, and let me know the cheapest soft drink was 4.75. Everyone at the table was disgusted with the smell of my water. But upon smelling another glass, it was perfect, and they weren't drinking it. I was lucky to quench my thirst. Waitress asked why we thought the other was fine, and I detailed the way old ice or poorly handled water products could accumulate bacteria. She said she still thinks it's just the tap water because there are so many complaints about it. That is completely unacceptable. It is a $3-$400 1-2 year cost for a commercial water filter for a business this size. I know because I manage facilities serving high volume. Hopefully the business owner eventually decides that "tons of complaints" is too much and just gets a water filter. It would likely be less than .01% of the budget to solve this egregious issue for something served at every table every day.

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is a beloved fast-food destination that perfectly blends classic burger and fries offerings with delightful soft-serve ice cream and signature shakes. On a recent visit, I decided to satisfy my ice cream cravings while enjoying lunch with my husband. We ordered the Wild Alaskan Fish Sandwich meal, complete with crispy fries that were simply irresistible! The convenience of ordering through the app made our experience seamless, allowing us to grab drinks quickly before our meal was ready in just minutes.
Had the best experience stopping in for a quick dinner after a long day on the river. The guy bringing our food to our table definitely earned them a tip! The cherry on top was getting our blizzards n the guy handing the coldest one over to me upside down lol my kids loved that party trick!

We were just stopping by to get some ice creams and it was mostly teenage boys working. There was no line and while we were waiting several of the young workers were just standing staring at us (We were all young women). There was only one male worker moving around and doing work and it seemed like they were just too shy to come take our order so we left. I can understand social anxiety but you can't avoid taking customers. You lose the business money and earn unhappy customers. Thank you.

I don't review businesses often, but my friends and I were really impressed with the employees here. They were professional, polite, and personable, all while being super efficient on a hot busy Sunday eve. Kudos and give the team a raise!

My wife and I were craving some ice cream, so rather than running to the store to get some we decided to make lunch out of our craving instead so we went to DQ Grill & Chill! We both had the Wild Alaskan Fish Sandwich meal with fries and a drink which we ordered through the app in the parking lot. We then went in, were able to get our drinks, then had only a couple of minutes to wait for our meal! The fries were crispy and hot, quite possibly some of the best fries we’ve had in a while! The fish sandwich was a large portion of breaded fish, tartar sauce, pickle, and lettuce on a bun. It was really good at first….while the fish was hot, but like all breaded fish as it cooled it got kinda mushy, which made the sandwich only ok! After lunch we both were full, but had to order what we went there for in the first place, so we both ordered a Superman Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard! This Blizzard is for a limited time….and it is really good, just sweet enough, but not so sweet that you are sick when you are done eating it! All in all we had a good meal and will return to this DQ in the future!

After talking to the manager at Stark location because they made a awful heath blizzard she suggest the next time I try another blizzard I should try one closer to my home. So this time I was with my husband and we visited the troutdale location. I got another heath Blizzard and my husband got a peanut butter pie Blizzard. Oh boy was I delighted with my heath blizzard!!! My first bite I got a heath and it was yummy lol. And there were lots of bites with heath in it. My husband loved his blizzard too and by the pics you can see there is definitely candy in each Blizzard. So I'm glad I went to the one closer to my house cause they know how to make AWESOME BLIZZADS so if you want amazing ones I suggest you go to this one!

Their customer service and turn around times are amazing. Their food is great, just about anything you pick is good. Unfortunately my meal ended with a banana split that was absolutely disgusting. Strawberries and bananas rotten really messed the whole experience up.

One gal is going to college and came home early (campus closed) to work and save at her summer job. Fantastic crew of hardworking kiddos navigating into adult life in these shifting times. If you're on the hunt for authentic Mexican cuisine in Troutdale, look no further than the Troutdale Burrito Shop. This gem offers a delightful array of dishes that are not only flavorful but also come at wallet-friendly prices, making it a fantastic alternative to typical taco spots. Diners rave about their above-average tacos and generously sized quesadillas, which are perfect for satisfying those midday cravings.
Very impressed with the food and pricing. It’s way below a typical taco place these days. The food is authentic. The tacos were above average and strongly recommend. The quesadilla was a great size. Love the fountain drink option, but also have optional drinks for purchase in the glass coolers. Would 100% come back. Nice clean areas with bathrooms. Staff was great. Very helpful. Recommend to try the street tacos. Can’t go wrong with the side of meat. Very good portions given to us. Either way, I left impressed and full! :)

I am a food delivery driver, I know front parking is a issue for delivery drivers, if you go up Dora Ave, which is a one way street, there is additional parking just right above the complex. You will have to walk around the building but easy enough to get to it. This place is pretty good at having orders done by the time I get there and has great vibes. Clean and inviting. Staff is always friendly.

I absolutely love this spot! I go here for lunch quite often because I work in Troutdale and it's a great place for some super delicious Mexican food. The service is always delivered with a smile in the most helpful and efficient way possible. The salsa bar is fantastic, especially the spicy red, spicy green, and chunky green (also spicy) salsas. Their food costs roughly the same as any fast food joint, but the amount of food received and the taste are definitely superior.

Stopped on my way back to Eugene from Multnomah Falls. They were close to closing time but still served us. I got an al pastor taco, taquito plate, and the Oregon burrito. The taco was not good but there was so much meat!! The taquitos were kinda burnt by they were good. The burrito though *chefs kiss* it was so good! Packed with flavor! That alone is why they get 5 stars! It was huge, flavorful, and so good! They were very inexpensive! All this for, and I barely spent $20, and that was after I tipped them!

Been going to Burrito Shoppe for a couple of years now. Place is clean and always find a place to sit. Food tastes great when you eat it there. However I have to finally complain about their take out service. I get take out from here about once a week. The food is always messy and all over the take out box (rice and beans are on top of eac other/ refried beans inside my tacos etc..). As if i had left the container in my trunk and driven on a dirt road home. It's happening over and over. Even when I ask them to individually wrap items. Next time I will pick up my food open the container in front of them and be ready to have them re-do it. Otherwise they lost my business and I will start going to 2 Amigos in WoodVillage.

Bridge
Stark Street Bridge, an iconic structure built in 1914, spans the Sandy River and serves as a vital link for travelers. This impressive 277-foot steel truss bridge is one of the gateways to the Historic Columbia River Highway. Despite its age, it has maintained its sturdiness and functionality over the years. The bridge offers picturesque views and is a popular spot for various activities such as tubing on the river or enjoying nearby Dabney Park.
When I first saw this bridge in the background of the famous A-O River scene of Portlandia, I knew I had to visit. I have to say it is of very high quality. By now I've lost count of my numerous crossings, and if memory serves, it hasn't fallen even once. I've spoken with many people who've all had the same positive experience. I highly recommend it if you're in the area and need to go from one side of the river to the other.

Another beautiful old Oregon bridge. It's sturdy and well used. It needs a fresh coat of paint, but it had a lot more character than many newer bridges. It makes a good scene for painting or drawing. 👍

Well this is a first, I've never reviewed a bridge before. I wouldn't drive a big truck or RV across this bridge, pretty narrow lanes.

Great tube floating picture back drop. Gotta try it. Also, if you dont have a vehicle equipped for deep water driving, this structure is super great.

The Fred E Harlow House Museum is a historic house built in 1900, located on the former Harlow Farm. It was owned by Fred Harlow, son of Troutdale's founder. The museum offers a glimpse into the region's past and early days of Troutdale and the Columbia River Gorge area. Visitors can explore original artifacts and experience the unchanged historical setting. Although temporarily closed, it remains an ideal destination for history enthusiasts interested in local heritage.
If you’re a fan of history, I strongly recommend checking out this museum. It was a pleasant touring experience! Our guide — whose name I don’t remember at this time, I’m so sorry — was very informative and receptive to our questions. The artifacts and house were fascinating. Apparently over 95% of the property is original, and refurbishments are only done when absolutely necessary. Walking through the rooms, I was transported back in time. And I can’t reiterate how excellent our guide was. I could tell that he was a real fan of history and was all too eager to share. Honestly, the tour wouldn’t have been the same without him. I hope to return one day to see what other artifacts are put on display in the future! PS, we were told the museum is open from Thursday to Sunday. Can confirm, as we visited on Thursday.

It looks super cool. I peaked in the windows and it all looks original. Old decor and furniture and appliances. The place is temporarily closed but I will be back! The trail behind the building is also closed due to a landslide but hopefully all will be ready to reopen soon. The red barn museum next door is open for business.

Visitor center
Nestled in the heart of Troutdale, the Gateway to the Gorge Visitor Center is a delightful stop for anyone exploring the stunning Columbia River Gorge. Upon entering, visitors are immediately captivated by a beautifully restored century-old painting of Multnomah Falls, which adds a touch of historical charm to this modern facility. The center not only serves as an information hub but also showcases local history with engaging exhibits focused on trains and the area's rich past.
We stopped in here to get a last minute access pass to Multnomah Falls, we were quickly given one by a pleasant person at the desk. The museum is very nice and highlights local history with most focus on trains and the station building. The host working here was super pleasant and helpful. The restroom was very clean.

Go inside for many useful information and take some visitor guild booklets. Also walk around to take a look at the river and railroad bridge behind it. But be careful the train, don’t walk too far on the bridge.

We wanted to get information on seeing the waterfalls and other outdoor attractions and spoke with a young blond lady who was super helpful and went above and beyond in obtaining information for us. Based on her recommendations, we were able to have a stress-free day of exploring! They had a lot of useful maps and pamphlets, too.
Belinda B — Google review
Honestly, the best visitor center I have ever been to. The man and woman we found there were the sweetest humans. With my partner we rented a car last minute and embarked on a poorly planned trip around Mt hood. We went to the visitor center to get a pass to the Multnomah fall. We left with munch more than that: a wonderful and detailed plan for the day and suggestions for what became an amazing brunch (mcmenamamins edge field, quite a treat and a v interesting place). Stop by, you can get the pass, maps, suggestions and insights, and the hosts are very pleasant.

Gorgeous art space curated and maintained by knowledgeable working artists. There are so many interesting, affordable gift options, as well as functional art--like hand-painted glassware and bespoke lighting fixtures--that you need to do a couple of laps to really appreciate just how much this gallery offers. My husband and I came to Oregon for our honeymoon and I wandered in while he was getting an ice cream down the block--I ended up chatting up one of the artists on shift (he's remarkably skilled, eloquent, and enthusiastic) and taking home a pair of earrings each for our Moms. Our visit couldn't have been a more pleasant, unexpected treat in the middle of an already wonderful getaway and Red Trillium Gallery left an impression we will never forget. If you're local? Please go there and support small business thing-makers. You have such a value in your community. If you're traveling? Take the time and luggage space to enjoy this amazing shoppe and the treasures it holds.

Italian restaurant
Ristorante Di Pompello is a charming Italian restaurant that offers budget-friendly classic Italian dishes and nightly specials. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service make it a great place to enjoy a meal, with the added bonus of a view towards the Columbia River. Customers have praised the delicious food, including desserts, and found the prices reasonable. One diner particularly enjoyed the dinner deal for two, which offered great value with appetizers, soups or salads, pasta dishes, and dessert all included.
Ristorante Di Pompello was the caterer at our wedding this past month. We have ate there before and loved their food. They did an excellent job with the catering bringing appetizers, salad, bread, and pasta as ordered. Our guests enjoyed the pasta options and everything was kept warm and clean by their staff. The only issue we had was with the nonalcoholic beverage service. We had ordered water, iced tea, strawberry lemonade, coffee, and an assortment of sodas including diet soda options. On the wedding day there was no coffee and no diet soda available for guests. Also, guests were not a fan of the iced tea. The strawberry lemonade had high praise though. Overall, I would absolutely use them again for catering and will be eating there again as I love their food and it is a great restaurant.

If you find yourself in Troutdale, Oregon and craving some good Italian food and great service then you should consider eating at Ristorante Di Pompello. The food is delicious and fresh. The staff is friendly and very professional. They are always polite and ready to serve you. Enjoy a nice glass of wine or a cocktail with your meal. There is great shops in the area when you are done eating so you can spend time shopping and have a wonderful day or evening.

Visiting the area from Vancouver BC. Reasonable pricing even with the weak Canadian dollar. Big portions. Diligent customer services. We were a party of eight and they didn't charge standard 20% service charge others do. This restaurant is marked on my Google and we will visit for sure if and when we are back in the area!!

I don't usually leave reviews, but the food and service was so good I had to. It surprised me that it wasn't too expensive since it was so delicious! I had the ravioli portobello! Highly recommend. Our waitress was very sweet too, I didn't catch her name, but she was wearing a light blue shirt and had blonde hair. She was very nice and very helpful. All in all a great experience. (I would have taken a picture of the Tiramisu but it was so good we ate it all before thinking to take a picture)

Usually this is one of my favorite restaurants, but this time I was sadly disappointed. The service was unwelcoming, and slow. No one smiled and the workers just stared at us a lot. The spinach artichoke dip tasted like it was put in a blender, but that’s just not my preference. The chicken was poor quality. Extremely rubbery and chewy. I ordered the same meal I always get and it was not the same. At least not the chicken. Food all looks pretty and presentable but it was not tasty. The cheddar broccoli soup tasted homemade and was actually really good! The price was decent for all of the food we received. Not sure if I will be making an effort to go back anytime soon.
Shay L — Google review
We received a free bruschetta with our table and that was pretty good. I liked the bread. We also both got side soups. I got the Tuscan and my husband got the minestrone. The than was good. I’m not big on bacon but it was good. My husband liked that the minestrone didn’t have too many beans but jokes it wasn’t “real” minestrone because it didn’t have the right noodles. Can’t take an Italian guy to an Italian place 😅 for our entrees, I ordered the three cheese ravioli in a spinach cream sauce with tomatoes and mushrooms. The sauce was amazing. The raviolis were good. They Parmesan cheese wasn’t evenly distributed though. My husband got the fettuccini alfredo. He enjoyed it and thought it was really creamy. He sopped up all of the sauce with his bread. We overall enjoyed this place and recommend it. The only critiques I have are: we didn’t get checked up on very often. I wanted to order a second drink with my meal but we were just left alone while we ate. Also, the food was on the blander side. I had to give a lot of salt and pepper and wished to see more seasonings involved.

We randomly stop at this restaurant looking for something to eat. The atmosphere was very welcoming with the attention of our server. Melissa made it easy to sit down for dinner with her awesome and tentative service. It's was nice to sit in the booth with the view looking towards Columbia River. The food was great and the price was right. I'm not Italian, so I can't say it's amazing Italian food. However, I can say we enjoyed everything we ate, including dessert. I recommend this place if you're in the area 👌

Ok, the prices are amazing. We got the $39 dinner for two special which included two pasta dinners, an appetizer, two salads or soups, and a dessert. Seriously unbelievable. The food was good, but not spectacular. Our server did not seem interested in us at all, but otherwise a good experience.

Chiang Rai Thai Cuisine is a delightful gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. The food is consistently delicious, with standout dishes like duck curry featuring pineapple that strikes the perfect balance of flavor and spice. Diners rave about the quick service and friendly staff, who ensure your needs are met promptly—whether you're dining in or opting for takeout. The atmosphere is enhanced by mellow music, creating a relaxing backdrop for enjoying your meal.
The food and service were very good. The portion size was decent and the lady working there was very attentive, making sure our waters were refilled, and that we were enjoying the meal. The flavors of both noodle dishes were very good, but not overbearing.

I love this place. The food is absolutely delicious. The service is fast and friendly, and the music is mellow and relaxing. My dinner came out of the kitchen quickly, which was perfect because I was so hungry. I had duck curry with pineapple. It had a rating of 2 for spiciness on a scale of 5. I like a bit of spicy so I thought it would be too mild for me, but the heat of the curry was very satisfying. It even cleaned out my sinuses. I'm only passing through on my way back to Idaho, and now I wish I could take this place home with me. I'd love to try everything on their menu!
Milli T — Google review
The restaurant is reasonably clean but almost feels like you're eating in a storage unit. Food wasn't horrible but definitely not a spot i would take a date lol. The worst part was the service honestly, slightly rude and seen like we annoyed them anytime we wanted water or more food. Which would be understandable if it was late but they still had 3 hours before they closed. Overall wouldn't recommend this restaurant to many. Potstickers were ok though.
Michael L — Google review
This place is a joke I tried it once a couple years ago and it was okay but this time it was just gross. Pad Thai was not good but I was so hungry I ate it. Don’t recommend. Also the server was in such a rush to take order and checked in on us once from really far away like she was scared to walk up. Minimal effort for service. As you can tell we were the ONLY table there…. So idk 🤷🏽‍♀️ maybe she just doesn’t care for our business. Not to worry we won’t be back 😄 I will be going to my favorite place in Portland Siri Thai! Anyone reading this please go check out Siri Thai if this one doesn’t work out 😊

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We ordered from here on a whim, because we were craving some Thai salad rolls- they were good BUT their PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE was ABSOLUTELY DIVINE!!!!!! Honestly in the Top 3 Best fried rices I've EVER had! My Husband does not care for fried rice & he couldn't stop eating it! I wish I would have taken some pictures to add to this review but we honestly ate it too fast to even think about taking a picture haha :P We also got the Fried Bananas, but were both personally not impressed with those (especially after the fried rice). They were like mashed banana egg rolls with no flavor or sweetness. TRY THE PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE!!! SERIOUSLY!!

Inclement weather delayed a drive through the gorge to retrieve two framing jobs that Donna at the Columbia River Gallery in Troutdale had completed but, as they say, it was worth the wait! I've been a collector for over forty years, and during that time, I've worked with many framing shops in several states. Most have done an adequate, no-complaints job. However, a few have performed poorly, while fewer still have produced artistic results. Donna is one of the few framers who produce framing jobs that enhance the medium being showcased. In addition, she is adept at correcting the framing fails turned out by lesser skilled framing shops. I highly recommend Donna and she has earned my future business.

Donna did a great job framing a very special painting of the 'Little Red Chapel' located in ' The Grotto.' The acrylic was done by a friend in Nepal. I highly recommend this store. If you have a special picture that needs to be framed by the best; go here.

Japanese restaurant
Siam Sushi is a hidden gem nestled in Troutdale, offering an impressive array of flavors that will delight any sushi lover. Despite its modest size, the restaurant serves up delicious dishes that leave patrons raving about their experiences. The friendly service provided by Pi adds a personal touch to your visit, making you feel right at home. Diners have enjoyed standout items like the Massaman Curry and various sushi rolls, including the highly praised Heart Attack roll and California rolls that are simply unforgettable.
Just an all around really good place. Good service, fantastic food, good atmosphere. Good AC on a hot day during the street fair. 46 bucks to feed 2 adults so it's a good deal too. Would definitely come back.

We stopped here for lunch on the way back from Columbia River Gorge area and I thought the food was excellent. I got the Massaman Curry and it was quite good! I also tried the salmon sushi rolls and they were pretty good too. My mom ordered a sushi roll order that had spicy tuna and cream cheese and some other things that was pretty good too! Overall I’m happy we stopped there and would go again!

Best Sushi I've had in the PNW. Kids had California rolls that were some of the best California rolls we've tried. The Heart Attack roll may just be the best roll I've ever had, at least top 3. Do yourself a favor and stop here when you visit Multnomah Falls. Also try one of the little Guava candies on the way out.

We have lived here in Troutdale for 5 years and why it took us so long to try this place, is beyond me. It was soooo good!! I wish we would have tried it sooner. Best sushi we have had. Now we know and will be coming here again and again!

This place never disappoints. Always deliciously fresh and the staff is wonderful. Also they season their sushi rice to perfection. The heart attack roll is my favorite roll.

This place is not very big. We went for a late lunch and got seated right away. There's some outdoor tables. The sushi was really amazing. We will be back for more.

Haven't had such delicious sushi in a long time! Highly recommend!

This place is Troutdale's best kept secret! In a word "AMAZING"! Don't be fooled by the tiny size. Their food is wonderful. I've eaten here less than 5 times but me and my brother are on a first name basis! Pi (Pronounced pie) the waiter, is a premiere, polite gentleman who is exceedingly friendly. I've seen Pi walk customers out to their car just to meet and pet their waiting animal. If you are looking for an exquisite atmosphere this isn't your place. Its small but quaint. More importantly they have fantastic food. They do take-out very nicely in sturdy containers.
