Beaches
Folly Beach County Park is a true gem on the southwestern tip of Folly Beach, offering an expansive stretch of sandy paradise that beckons beach lovers from near and far. With over 3,500 feet of oceanfront bliss and additional access to the tranquil Folly River, this park provides ample space for sunbathing, picnicking, or simply soaking up the sun.
Gorgeous beach. Nice and clean. I didn't park at the $15 lot with the restrooms, playground, and restaurant. I just went down the same street and found a small free public lot between 2 beachfront houses. It had a boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. Definitely consider taking some shade, a cooler, a beach blanket/mat and sunscreen bc once you see and hear the waves crashing, taste the salt air, and get your feet in the ocean you won't want to leave.
H.w. E — Google review
I fished off the Folly Beach pier and had an absolute blast! It's beautiful. For $4 you can't go wrong. They have a nice bar outside just before you enter the pier as well as a nice restaurant just in front of the bar which you can dine inside or out. There's a well stocked tackle shop where you can rent a rod. Impressive please which I will definitely frequent again and again!
Michael D — Google review
We went to Folly beach for a day trip on a Friday. The entrance fee is per car $15 M-F and $25 on the weekends during the summer. We arrived after 11 am and there were only a couple of parking spots left. So make sure to come in early. They have plenty of changing rooms and a rinse off station. The proximity to the beach from the parking is very close. There were lifeguards at the beach which is very nice. If you want less crowded space you would need to walk further away but then you are swimming on your own risk. There were a couple of turtle nests down the beach, they were fenced off and had a sign saying that they should not be disturbed. We also saw a dolphin playing in the waves which made my day!
Olga S — Google review
It was a very beautiful day, I had an amazing walk on the beach. The water was warm. A bit contaminated with used band-aids. Only to return to my vehicle and see a $60 ticket on my window🤬😮‍💨 okay cool! Don't think I'll be back!
M.R. W — Google review
Beautiful beach, not crowded and has something for everyone....shallow enough to go far to catch waves for boogie boarding but gentle enough at the shore for kids and long and wide sandbar to walk on. See the pretty wishing tree
Carolyn S — Google review
Comparing folly to Destin beaches it’s not as good, but we had an overall good time at the beach they had concession stands with pretty good milkshakes, and a really good cinnamon pretzel. the beach is clean no trash laying around and have a spray off area and parking was $15 which was a pretty good deal. The view was nice and wasn’t too crowded on the beach. overall it was good and I would go back
Michael M — Google review
My husband officiated a wedding held on the beach with the reception in the pavilion and it was so gorgeous. I don't know the details on chair rentals or anything but I do know it was a perfect location for an intimate beach wedding! 🩷 Bonus- it was hot so several families ended up going swimming and enjoying the beach afterwards!
Julie T — Google review
We were staying in North Charleston, so didn’t have a place on the beach. This place offered the facilities and the beach access we needed for a great day at the beach!!

Shopping
Freshfields Village is a charming and upscale shopping and dining destination located in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. It offers a mix of shops, services, restaurants, and seasonal events set in a well-designed village center. Visitors can take care of various errands such as grocery shopping, dental appointments, clothing dry-cleaning, or nail care. The village also features live music events on its quaint squares adorned with flowers.
Nice shopping area with a mix of shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. Ample parking available but can be congested during peak periods. Nice spot to walk around; there is a green space in the center where they occasionally have live music, movies, and Santa Clause during the holidays.
Brad K — Google review
We all enjoyed a wonderful Friday evening listening to music in the outdoor amphitheater…brought chairs, wine and our relaxing attitudes.
Paul G — Google review
Beautiful shopping center to visit while in Kiawah. Get groceries, dinner, dessert all your souvenirs. Even a gas station with a car wash.
S B — Google review
A nice little market one can count on this isolated island. Be prepared for high prices, though, it is, after all, the shopping place for Seabrook and Kiawah residents. It ain't North Charleston. 😉
Robert M — Google review
Better than corporate chain subs. And you get a 6 inch bag of chips and a drink for $7. You can't beat it, watch out subway!
Randy I — Google review
This a great place to stop and walk around before hitting the beach. They have an old style pharmacy/soda fountain that makes you feel like you're in a "Grease" movie set. It's a charming and quaint American village.
Giovanna B — Google review
Beautiful shopping village directly across from the Andell Hotel. Games and evening movies for the kiddies. Live music as well. Pizza, pasta, burgers, beer, and Ben and Jerry's all in one place. Skin care and bookstores also in the village. Quaint, not too crowded. Decent parking. There's also a small parking lot in the back of the village, near the pond.
L. R — Google review
Very nice. Easy to walk around, the parking situation sucks, but there are a ton of pedestrian pathways, but watch for cars

Golf course
Outdoor Activities
Turtle Point Golf Course is part of the Kiawah Resort, offering a range of dining options and other activities. The course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is known for its challenging layout and well-maintained conditions. It features spacious fairways but presents a good challenge around the greens with bunkers and water hazards. The area is also popular for tennis and fishing, attracting visitors throughout the year. The course provides opportunities to spot wildlife like alligators, deer, and turtles.
Did not play golf, but it looks absolutely beautiful and pristine. Watch out for the big alligator too. The restaurant has fantastic views on the back porch, service was excellent and so was the food.
Classy G — Google review
Our annual golf trip with the guys took us to Kiawah Island this year, and Turtle Point definitely did not disappoint. The course was absolutely amazing — one of those tracks you could play over and over and never get tired of it. The layout was super fun. A great mix of challenging holes that made you think, but also a few forgiving ones where you could be a little aggressive. You could really feel Jack Nicklaus’s touch in the design — strategic but very playable. The conditions were top-notch. Fairways were like carpets, the greens rolled fast and true, and the ocean views on a few holes were just incredible. It made even the tough shots easier to laugh off. The staff took great care of us from start to finish, and the pace of play was perfect — never rushed, never waiting around. Just a relaxed, first-class experience all around. Turtle Point was an awesome part of an unforgettable trip, and we’ll definitely be making a point to come back next time we hit Kiawah!
Brandon D — Google review
Had an absolute blast playing Turtle Point. This course delivered on every level. I shot my lowest score of the season here (81 from the Blue Tees), and I can see why. The layout is wide open, giving you the chance to be aggressive off the tee without constantly punishing you for it. The conditions were top tier. Greens rolled true, fairways were pristine, and the overall course maintenance was impressive. You can tell the staff takes pride in this place, and it shows. Everyone was incredibly hospitable from start to finish—friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. Also, pro tip: try the chicken salad in the snack shop with some chips. A perfect mid-round pick-me-up. If you’re heading to Kiawah, Turtle Point needs to be on your list. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a rewarding round in a beautiful setting.
Genesis ( — Google review
Fun course on the ocean, tight fairways, pretty difficult but very fun! Very well kept course!
Ben T — Google review
This is a very well manicured golf course. The clubhouse is pristine. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The starter informed us that this is a very narrow course laid out by Jack Nicklaus. Still reasonable places to lay up and not get into trouble. Trouble may be in the form of alligators.
Sanz C — Google review
Course was in great shape. Fairways were some of the best I have ever seen, felt like butter puring a wedge shot. Greens rolled a little slower than expected but nonetheless true. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Nick M — Google review
Conditions are impeccable and staff extremely friendly. Compared to other championship tracks, the place outshines many courses that are twice as much. I will be back!
John E — Google review
Course was in great shape. We had a great time and the three holes on the back 9 was worth the greens fee!! “Chelsy” the “The queen of liquid courage” was great and did a great job of keeping us all hydrated! Looking forward to coming back sooner rather than later!

Italian restaurant
Tomasso at Turtle Point is a charming Italian restaurant located in the beautiful Turtle Point Clubhouse on Kiawah Island. The menu features a delightful fusion of old-world Italian dishes with a contemporary twist, incorporating locally sourced ingredients from the Lowcountry. Guests can savor Chef Derick Wade's hand-made pasta, sauces, pizzas, and bread prepared fresh daily. The inviting atmosphere evokes genuine family-style Italian hospitality, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors.
One of our favorite things about this restaurant is our server Meagan. She makes us feel immediately comfortable and so easy going. They have a blueberry lemon drink that is very refreshing. The scallops were great and the portion was very huge. The garlic bread was to die for ;)
Jane O — Google review
The food at Tomasso was excellent. There was 8 of us and everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was friendly, engaging and helpful. Where they stumble is the pace of play. Instant and relentless pressure to order food was felt right away. We barely had drinks arrive and the pressure was on. Okay, we reluctantly make hasty decisions on appetizers to relieve the pressure which was short lived as all arrived shortly after. Barely a bite and it was rapid fire on getting entrees in. “We need a bit more time” meant a minute for two and she was back. Still friendly and lovely but back. A table of 8 with cocktails, appetizers, wine, entrees and dessert was in and out in 1:15hr. Crazy fast!
Al S — Google review
Highly recommend the scallops and gnocchi meal. It was absolutely amazing! Also, I would get reservations for dinner. When we checked in they mentioned it wasn't needed, but we had to sit at the bar to eat.
Kyle P — Google review
We had a lovely dinner here last night with our family. Service was excellent and the covered outdoor patio was pleasant because we had our grandchildren with us. The garlic bread appetizer was demolished and the asparagus was divine. Everyone loved their meal and cocktails. I was especially thrilled there were gluten free and vegan cheese options. I was able to have a gf pizza and they even brought me gf bread before the meal.

Went to dinner last night to celebrate anniversary with family. Food was great, our server Zach was tremendous. Lobster ravioli and chick parm were great. Garlic bread was awesome.
Joseph N — Google review
Good salads and bread. Short ribs with pasta very dry. Pizza very thick tough crust maybe the worst ever. Jumbo lump crab cakes not jumbo lump probably back fin. No good. Italian sausage and pasta, where is the sausage? Gnocchi tough and dry. Mushroom risotto ok. $250 for 4 people with waters. Had to get something to eat when we left. Wonderful service. Bad hotel food.

Been coming here almost every year at least once for about 33 years now. Never disappoints. The Kiawah experience is not complete without dinner at Tomasso. Great staff, great food. Thank you for a lifetime of memorable experiences.

French restaurant
Heges Restaurant offers French cuisine in a cozy dining room, providing a relaxed and inviting ambiance near Kiawah, Seabrook, and Johns Island. They serve classic dishes made with fresh local ingredients, complemented by light and natural sauces. Heges also offers private and semi-private dining options for special events.
We celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary at the restaurant. The service was great. The food was awesome. If you want a more quiet atmosphere, I do recommend reserving as early a time slot as you can. The reservation reminders were nice too.
Robert K — Google review
It’s become a tradition for our family to end our Kiawah Island vacation with dinner at Hege’s. We’ve been coming here for a few years now, and the food and service is always top notch. We've been lucky enough to have Will as our server the past 3 times, and he’s remembered random drink orders and my son’s allergies with many months between visits. He’s the best! Whenever we come to Hege’s we feel like family, and we leave with lasting memories and full tummies. Would highly recommend!
Amber B — Google review
They hosted our family of 3, one being a 3 year old. They were quite hospitable and patient. The dress code appeared to be casual, but a collared shirt and jeans appeared to be acceptable despite some wearing Tshirts. We started with the French onion soup (amazing) and the low country she crab soup (also amazing). For the main course, bacon wrapped filet. The filet was incrediblely tender. The steaks were peppered which I enjoyed, but the wife could have done with less. We added a lobster tail (4 minis) which was good. For dessert, key lime pie and creme brulee. The creme brulee was incredible, the key lime pie was pretty good. I enjoyed this meal with a house old fashioned with fig. It was delicious and a creative way to serve an old fashioned. Would definitely return.
Don L — Google review
Hege’s is one of the best kept secrets in Chuck and an incredible value. Way out of the way in Fresh Fields on Kiawah, Hege’s adds fine dining with generous portions. Say it again GENEROUS portions. First course we ordered 3 appetizers - our first mistake. They are huge. The escargot of course isnt a lot of food, but is served proper- in the shell and with full silverware and escargot tongs. Nice touch! The beef tartar is probably 8+ ounches of beef, seasoned well and topped with a raw egg. This alone is a meal. The Pate which described as “3 slices” is actually 3 massive slices. As in - serving of meatloaf slices. This eats like a charcuterie board and is also a small meal. Mains - a coconut curry halibut and rice, and seafood linguine. Both solid dishes. They had my trifecta of desserts - cheesecake, key lime, and chocolate cake - but at this point we were too stuffed to eat any. Highly recommend stopping in and having a few apps as a light dinner. Hege’s is a win and all about value. Not cheap, but in this case you are getting a bit more than you pay for compared to most in town.
Ike F — Google review
We had dinner, party of 8, last Thursday. I've been to Hege's many times and always had a great experience. They have taken it to a new level! Amy was an amazing server, professional and accommodating. Scott was wonderful setting us up, even got our wine on the patio as we waited for friends. Their attention to detail and service was top notch! All of us raved about the food, many had the Halibut special. It was a phenomenal experience.
Lisa F — Google review
Last night we celebrated my birthday at Hege’s at Freshfields. Everything about the experience was exceptional. Our server Will was informative, attentive and kind. The meal was flavorful, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was especially welcoming and intimate. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. What a gem!

My wife and I shared a prime steak, with gratin potatoes, brussel sprouts, and the salad special. The steak and salad were very good but the rest was meh. The service was great, thanks to our server, Kevin. The atmosphere was very nice.

Grocery store
Bakery
Harris Teeter is a prominent supermarket chain that stands out for its diverse offerings, including deli and bakery departments, as well as health and beauty aids. Located conveniently at the roundabout before Kiawah Island in Freshfields Village, this grocery store is a go-to destination for both locals and visitors alike. It boasts an impressive selection of fresh produce sourced from local farmers, delectable Lowcountry seafood, and a variety of local cheeses, beers, and wines.
Huge shout-out and thanks to the Freshfields Harris Teeter prepared foods/catering department for preparing a delicious and reasonably priced brunch for a recent family gathering for 30 people. When we picked the brunch items up everything was piping hot, tasty and ready to serve at our backyard event. The manager Ken was so helpful and accommodating and really made our life easier on a very hectic day. Thank you!!
Susanne R — Google review
I absolutely HATE the Fresh Fields Harris Teeter with a passion. I'm sorry, whomever designed and decided where to put things is reading this, please explain why it's so difficult to find things. There are at least 2-10 different places it seems to find similar items. Maybe you need a person to help you shop.
Kathy B — Google review
A madhouse in here. Out of ice and limes. Probably due to the 4th shopping. Very nice with nice service otherwise.
Andrew S — Google review
Only giving 2 stars because I liked how the wine pairings are conveniently located next to the wines. Whoever's idea that was — thats about the only good idea in the whole store. First of all they dont seem to have a convenient ramp for shopping carts upon exiting the store, it's very tiny while their parkingng lot stretches way further, so many people are just pushing their carts off of the curb and slamming their (OVERPRICED) products in the cart on the asphalt. Second, their sushi. I dont think they use sushi rice for it, it seems to be just a tough short grain which is not tasty at all and ruins the sushi experience. Third, the store layout really can make or break the shopping experience, and Harris Teeter (especially this specific location) is known for having... let's say, creative layouts that confuse customers more than they help. This store has disorganized product categories, they overuse cross-merchandising, and they have inconsistent signage or flow that often leads to awkward navigation. It is understandable that the location gets quite busy due to tourism, and it seems as though they just try to shove as many products into the store at random locations within it, yet they fail to truly have a selection. Some sections are often empty. Good luck looking for beer and other beer-like beverages, it's just all over the place. The sunscreen and such, is located in a dark, far removed alley where it looks like nobody has stepped foot in for a whole year. The customer service can be hit or miss. Some people are very kind and some even go above and beyond to start up a chat, some are very helpful whereas others are useless. They themselves have no clue where anything is and clearly need additional training in customer approach. But I think they dont fix any of these issues because they know this location will stay packed regardless, again, due to tourism and the fact that it's the only grocery store around. This is why they also end up upcharging on almost everything.
Veronika L — Google review
The employees that run the store deserve five stars, but unfortunately corporate Harris Teeter won’t fix the air conditioning and makes their employees suffer with hot air blowing down on you in the middle of July in in South Carolina. It’s over 90 degrees outside and I barely could make shopping for 10 minutes , now drenched in sweat myself. This is cruel and unusual punishment for employees, let alone customers only coming in briefly. July 6, 2025 5pm

I was just at the pizza bar, I saw a sign posted whole pizza Mondays $8.99. I waited very patiently to be served, I am looking at 3 whole pizzas and 4 more with slices missing. I'll take that one, the attendant got a small wedge box...I said no the whole pizza, he said you can't get any on these, you must order online for a whole one. Made no sense, but I said I want to order one, he said that, that would be an hour and a half. That is ridiculous.
James S — Google review
This is a nice clean place to do shopping while staying in the area. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. I love the little shop this store is in, it's so cute you'll want to walk around and have a closer look.

Kiawah Beachwalker Park is a serene and picturesque public beach that offers a unique east-west orientation, contributing to the growth of its 10-mile stretch of sandy shores. The park's building regulations ensure that houses are set back from the dunes, preserving the peaceful and unspoiled nature of the beaches. It has been recognized as one of Dr. Beach's Top 10 Beaches in America.
Paid $25.00 to park. Nice boardwalk to bathrooms/changing rooms. Pretty drive to get to the beach also. We enjoyed this beach. Weekends, go early or in the early evening otherwise lot may be full of cars already.

Very beautiful and clean beach. Has restrooms, changing rooms, shop to buy refreshments, and picnic areas. People are polite and it's not over crowded.

There are tons of beaches around Charleston, but this may be one of my favorites. Yes, you do need to pay to park, but the amenities are very nice. There are lifeguards and condition warnings, there are quality bathrooms and changing areas. The beach itself may not be the biggest, but it is in good repair and has a lot of places that you can walk to. I would not count this location out!
YunsAvatar — Google review
A great place to go to spend a day at the beach. A lot of beach to walk on.

The place is just absolutely stunning. No other beach in the area can simply compare! The dolphins are so friendly and the pretzels at the snack bar are better than Philadelphia’s pretzels 🥨
Bri W — Google review
The beach was clean and peaceful. The restrooms and changing rooms were clean. There was an area to rinse off before heading back to your car, and even a place for fresh water for the dogs. Parking was a bit expensive but all the parking was expensive!
Sheila B — Google review
Fantastic beach with thin sand, very comfortable to walk , feel the sea breeze and spend a relaxing moment. There are nice clean restrooms and outdoor showers. Unlike other beaches, this one has very restricted access, I believe there's only 150 parking spots, so plan to arrive early or you'll have to wait long time. We went there on a Saturday at 10am, and the staff put us in a waiting app and had to wait 50 minutes to be called, they text you once a parking spot is available, but you cannot wait in the premises so you'll see yourself just driving around until then. Despite the parking hassles, once you're in everything is perfect! Parking price was 20 dollars on the weekend.
Francisco C — Google review
This is my chill mode beach. Usually, it isn't busy, and you're able to walk the beach. The scenery is different from any of the other beaches around. There are not a lot of shells to collect, but not here for that. Well maintained beach, restrooms were immaculate, changing area, rinse off area, rental place open throughout the day, nice walkout area, and Dog friendly, (have to be on a leash) You will not be disappointed if you try it!

Despite being the most playable course on the island, it still presents challenges with its stunning marsh and river views.
Excellent course with great views. Our start was delayed due to an early thunderstorm but the staff there was able to get groups up to speed and out on the course in a timely manner. Will definitely be back.

Very fun course and extremely well kept. Some difficult holes, with tight fairways. One of my favorite courses in a while and a great option on Kiawah.
Ben T — Google review
Great course but service lacking this summer. Rain delay on hole 16. Marshall was quite abrupt and rude about exiting the course 30 seconds after horn went off. Cart girl closed us out with maximum tip percentage since we “left the course”, which we hadn’t since trying to ride out delay to finish. Waitress told us she couldn’t get us drinks at patio table but we could walk inside and order ourselves. Couldn’t get drinks at turn (10) with our tab with the cart girl as to “not take business away from halfway house”. Left item in cart and was told they gave it to our son. I don’t have a son…
Carrie S — Google review
Like it more than the ocean course. Love that they have water bottles everywhere and great halfway house!
A. P — Google review
The most playable course on the island. But that does not mean it is boring or easy... stunning views, yes it is short so if your long you're gonna go less than driver a lot. The holes along the marsh/river are gorgeous. Plenty of room in most places if you are trying to score then it demands a little more. However if you want a stress free round to enjoy a beautiful golf course and hanging with your friends and family while you're getting your golf in, this is it.
Trace F — Google review
Wonderful course. Conditions were perfect and the course had a nice variety of holes (difficulty, dog legs, water, etc.). Had a great time.
Ben M — Google review
Rudest staff at any golf course I’ve played. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after 54 holes it got progressively worse. Canceled my 4th round because of the rudeness of the bag boys. Save your $220 per round and play somewhere else where they actually care. I will not be returning. Needs improvement.
Joe A — Google review
A fun course that beautiful and well maintained. Lots of sand and water to keep you on your toes. I'd say it's a 3.5 of 5 on the challenging scale. At times it can be brutal and other times, quite forgiving. Be aware, it's not a coastal course, but lots of marsh, ponds and an occasional gator keep interesting.

Stopped here on a whim just to pick up lunch real quick while on vacation. The enchilada was surprisingly wonderful and flavorful! The queso was also delicious but the chips were lackluster, which I didn’t know was possible in a chip, and definitely skip the Spanish rice! There was nothing Spanish about it. The staff was super friendly though & they had super quick service!

I had such a great experience being served by Jana! From the moment we were seated, she was warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. She made sure our drinks were never empty, got our orders exactly right, and checked in at just the right times. Jana has a great attitude, a genuine smile, and made the whole dining experience feel welcoming and enjoyable. You can tell she really cares about her customers. I’d definitely come back and ask for her again—she’s a true asset to the team!

Peruvian shrimp tacos, blackened shrimp taco. There was no difference in the shrimp, both looked like they came straight out of a bag of frozen shrimp. Fried Fish taco had breading that was way too salty. The coleslaw that came on one of the tacos had no sauce. Onions were way too big in pico. So only flavor was raw onion. Driest tacos i have ever eaten. Just stick with having a beer at this place

We visit Kiawah frequently and loved this restaurant when it opened. Recently the service has been poor and slow. The quality of the food has declined and they are often out of menu items even on Saturday night. Love this restaurant in Greenville SC where it is properly managed.

We rarely leave reviews. We have been to the one in MT Pleasant several times. We wanted something easy and then go catch sunrise. We got there and got seated after 15 min and I had to go up after 10 minutes of waiting to even be greeted. Then we waited 5 more minutes so we went back up to ask for drinks and an appetizer. Waited a total of 35 min for our tacos. Our waitress then finally came out bringing our appetizer, didn’t say sorry or anything. We asked for the manager and he basically acted like it wasn’t a big deal for the terrible service because they were busy. We were blown away at the lack of caring for his customers and lack of service or food times. He also mentioned there is only 4 restaurants on Kiawah. A lot of excuses. We won’t be returning sadly!
Nicole H — Google review
Great tacos and lots of options. Special taco of the day was caprese and it was fantastic! Lots of gluten-free options to choose from. Nice atmosphere and quick service. Fair prices too, especially for the area. Highly recommend!
Christy D — Google review
All the staff looked and acted so miserable. Restaurant was half empty and we were told at least 55-60 minute wait. Since our group had mostly kids, they basically took over an empty table, and finally the hostess just said "take the table" (well, it obviously wasn't being used!) Food was subpar and below average. I ordered a chimichanga and they said they were out of rice!?! At a Mexican restaurant? Drinks were blah and nothing special. It was my son's birthday- I made a point of telling them that- and the response was "oh it's everyone's birthday tonight, apparently"- as if I was making it up?- and then didn't even acknowledge it. The entire experience was awful- will never go back.

Bohicket Marina & Market, situated near Seabrook Island in South Carolina, offers a range of activities such as waterfront dining, local shopping, and water-based adventures like fishing and sailing. The marina provides boat rentals, guided fishing charters, paddleboard and kayak rentals, as well as waterfront dining at Salty Dog Cafe. Additionally, it offers boat storage and slip rentals. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions like Freshfields Village and North Beach by biking from the marina.
Great Marina and a great group of do thanks lead by Bo the dockmaster. There is a strong current but these guys made it easy. The facilities adlee very nice and clean and there is a nice area outside to sit and people watch, seems to be popular to watch the sunset. Quick 10 min walk to a shopping area with a Harris Teeter to stock up. Great Marina will definitely stop by again.

The facilities are of good quality. The location is less than a mile from a very nice shopping area. The restaurant next door has live music. The river is a good anchorage. My only complaint is the high fee to park a dinghy. They ask $20. The fee is the most we ever paid in five years of cruising the East Coast, Caribbean, and Gulf Coast. Maybe they want to encourage boaters to take a slip instead of anchoring.
Daniel G — Google review
The boat was very nice and well equipped. The staff was extremely helpful and professional from a thorough briefing about the boat and the area to helping us with the docking. ( There can be a pretty good current when the tide is changing)
Bob B — Google review
This was a little gem with lots of wildlife. The people who worked here were very accommodating. They even called our last day before giving away our spot. The T heads were a bit noisy due to the strong currents on the river, but it was well protected for the 45 Knot winds that we had to deal with. It is not close enough for an Uber ride to Charleston, but if the Charleston marinas are full, this is a great backup. John's Island had a grocery store and many cute shops. We really enjoyed the area. Decent parking lot as well. The outdoor restaurant had live music every night, and it was good music, not loud and penalizing. I would go back to it again.

I’ve rented from a lot of Marinas, but I’ve never had it this good. Very well staffed and run, from Bo, the manager, to Gracy at check-in, and Clayton the deck hand (just to name a few) everyone ran a tight ship. Got us in and out quickly, accommodated some off the menu requests and delivered EXCELLENT customer service. Pricing was inline with other outfits but boats and personnel were head and shoulders above any other group I’ve worked with. I don’t post often but when I’m genuinely impressed and grateful I want to pass that experience on. Enjoy.

I've hardly left my house in the past couple years (had a baby, pandemic, etc) and walking around the marina at sunset made me feel like everything was right in the world. Live music, outdoor dining, ice cream, boats everywhere, and the best spot in the area to watch the sunset. And the sunset was incredible. Thanks for arranging that for me!

Café Eugenia, located in Freshfields Village near Seabrook Island, is a casual cafe and gourmet market offering a delightful selection of locally-sourced cheeses, meats, salads, sandwiches with a Mediterranean twist. The café provides both indoor and outdoor seating options for guests to enjoy their breakfast or lunch. With an ever-evolving menu featuring innovative culinary creations, diners can indulge in colorful salads, creative charcuterie boards, and delicious takeaway specials.
Stopped by Café Eugenia and had an iced vanilla latte along with a dark chocolate cookie—both were a great treat! The latte was smooth and refreshing, with just the right touch of vanilla, and the cookie had a rich chocolatey flavor that paired perfectly with the coffee. The café has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind. The service was friendly, and the location is perfect for a quick stop or a leisurely coffee break. Definitely a spot worth visiting on Kiawah Island!

Café Eugenia is on the other side of the main street facing the water. The outside tables offer a nice view of the water across the street, while the inside is cozy with fresh flowers and throw pillows. The whole Cafe is set up and a really cute way and is very clean... Including the bathroom! The menu is extensive with too many amazing options to choose from. My daughter and I shared a Meat Quiche, heated. It was thick and tasty. We were tempted by all the treats from the bakery side (including many vegan and gluten free options), but I had a vanilla Cortada and my daughter had caramel steamed milk. I will definitely be returning!

Went with my wife this morning and it was great! Got a sausage egg cheese biscuit and bacon egg cheese croissant - both were fantastic! Even better than the breakfast sandwiches are the pastries! Highly recommend. 100x better than Java Java nearby - much better food, service, and atmosphere.

Great Food, Better Views, and Top-Notch Service Had a great lunch with the family today at the Salty Dog Cafe in Seabrook. Everything was absolutely perfect! The food was cooked to perfection—scallops were buttery and tender, shrimp were spot on, and the fish was flawless. Even our picky toddler was happy thanks to the alligator bites! The hush puppies were a true highlight. The atmosphere was family-friendly with beautiful scenery that made the whole experience even better. Our server was incredibly attentive and kind, and the manager was wonderful as well. Simply put, everything—from the food to the service to the view—was perfect!

we visited Salty Dog Cafe upon our visit to Kiawah Island. setting was gorgeous as the sun set behind the boats and live music reverberated from our ears. we waited about 5 minutes for a table outside, grabbing a quick drink at the bar upstairs. waitress was knowledgeable, fast, and friendly. my companion has a food allergy, so managers walked out both his plates (appetizer and entrée) and made sure to warn us about other items on the menu. i ordered the shrimp & crab mac and cheese, it's huge, legit enough for leftover dinner, breakfast, lunch and dinner ;). companion ordered the daily fish, snapper with chimichurri (had a bit of a kick but still delish) and golden yukon potatoes. veggies are a mix of green beans, wax beans, and (one) carrot(s). they create/partner to create their own line of beer and wine and had plenty of delicious cocktails and additional local beers to choose from. also have a tshirt and souvenir shop available for the famous salty dog cafe tshirts. offered matches, stickers and coasters for free, stoked to use for my junk journaling. make sure to read the story on the menu about jake! would absolutely visit again!
Nicole T — Google review
They had live music while we waited, which was great tonight. The hush puppies were sweet, great with the salty dog pepper sauce, island spice, that was on the table. The bowwow shrimp were also really fantastic. I tried something called the Floradora with Jasper gin and Trop Hop peachy wheat ale, which was OK. As for the food, the seafood pasta and jambalaya pasta were fantastic as were the grilled shrimp and Lowcountry boil. The pasta sizes were all huge. The tuna stack needed something… It was better with the hot sauce. Scallops ended up being overcooked, and the brisket was just OK.
Josh G — Google review
Salty Dog is the perfect spot for drinks/ gorgeous views with live music. It’s a 10/10 if you love sea food! There is a wide menu & everything is super fresh. However, there is not that many options if you’re only into “land food” but the bbq brisket sandwhich was pretty good. Update as we went back a second time & the host was very rude while 4-5 employees stood at the host desk watching her speak that way to customers. We then waited about 25 min for a table that was open when we first arrived so i’m not sure if it’s a staffing issue. We also waited about 10 minutes for an employee to take our drink order then another 15 minutes for the drinks. However it is gorgeous & we would return just don’t go super hungry as the waits are long all the way around.

Nice place to eat breakfast or lunch, especially if you have children in tow. They have nightly special for either two or four people which changes daily. On Wednesday they had general tso's chicken with steamed broccoli and rice. I think it was 64 dollars for four people which is a great price considering the prices for meals on Kiawah Island. I. Friday I think it was shrimp and grits and on Tuesday it was chefs choice tacos. It reminded me of a Panera Bread for reference. This is a casual eatery. You order at the counter, receive a buzzer, and then pick up your food from the counter. They also have some groceries and beer and wine for purchase, as well as a few aisles with souvenirs, like golf shirts, T-shirts, hats, and fleeces. We also had breakfast sandwiches, which were very good and priced about 13 to 15 each.

Located in Freshfields Village, King Street Grille is a popular sports bar and grille that has been voted Charleston's best sports bar for seven consecutive years. This locally owned and operated establishment offers a diverse menu of pub-grub favorites, along with a wide selection of wine, beer, and signature cocktails. With TVs scattered throughout the venue, it's an ideal spot to catch your favorite sports games or tournaments.
This place is more of a sports bar, so it's not your quiet type eatery, it is very loud, and very lively when certain games are playing. I will never fault a restaurant for being loud when that is its very spirit! The food is not top quality cuisine like fine dining, hence the four stars on that, but please don't take that as anything negative; It's quite the opposite in fact. The food itself is very good for what this type of restaurant offers. Sports bars normally have basic food that has flavor but not exquisite. Pictured here is a bacon burger with their special tangy sauce, which is actually quite good so to speak. Their fries are crunchy so if you don't like that, this may not be for you. The service was incredible, I was served by a bartender by the name of Tyler H. He was very chill, very friendly, and hearing he was willing to sacrifice his time off to work here because of rather dubious workers gives me great respect to this grill. I will most definitely be visiting here every time I visit Kiawah simply because its workers have faith in the restaurant. I wish that kid the best of luck, and great kudos for his diligence in dealing with the customers. Especially a dork such as myself.

Great food and service. We visited on a Monday night at 7pm. We waited 20 minutes for a table. It was worth the wait. I got the wings with Chipotle BBQ. My wife got the make your own salad. She said the house made peppercorn Parmesan dressing was delicious. My daughter got the pesto chicken pita and my son got cheese fries. Everything was delicious. Sitting on the patio made the evening made for a wonderful evening. Our server Steve did an amazing job. I'm glad I asked him sandwich or wings. Because the wings were awesome. Hoping to make it back before our vacation is over.

2 years ago**** Good beer. Great food. Excellent service. I had the pesto pita and the wife had the chopped salad. Everything came out quick and correct. Fresh veggies and feta on the side salad. A must try when your in fresh fields. ****8/21/23*** I would pass on the filet it’s overpriced and rubbery like they used transglutaminase. It wasn’t quite right and it came with three pieces of asparagus 👎. The waffle fries and sweet tea chicken were awesome, as well as the kids spaghetti. They have the same local brews nothing has changed in two years. They haven’t made any changes or improvements. The bar area was super humid and hot.

Excellent lunch- loved being able to sit outside. We shared the eggroll mac & cheese appetizer and the turkey melt on a pretzel bun. Everything tasted great. Portions were generous & great service by Kayla. Not sure why there are so many less than great reviews. Maybe the overall expectations from the type of people that frequent this area is higher than the rest of us? It is definitely located in an area that is upscale. Don’t let the reviews keep you from a great meal! The inside is also perfect for hanging out and watching the games while you enjoy your meal.

The food here was decent. They have a nice outside option for dining. Service was good and our food came out fast. Many options on the menu. I would of rate it higher however it is way overpriced. They do not allow menu substitutions without an upcharge of $3- $4. A sandwich and a side salad (which came on the plate) was over $20, however everything was very fresh.

This was a great experience. This is not your average pizza stop. Everything was made from scratch. The noodles were amazing. We ordered a pizza and chicken parmesan was amazing. The sauce with sausage ground up was awesome! We would defined go back.

I’ve enjoyed every restaurant I have tried in Kiawah until this one. We saw the mixed reviews of this place and didn’t know what to think. But on our last night (Friday) we were willing to give it a shot. No online ordering offered (welcome to the 21st century!). Ok fine, only option was to place a to go order at 540pm by telephone for a 20 inch cheese pizza. Lady on the phone repeated back, “20 inch cheese pizza.” No way to mess this up right? Wrong! An hour and a half hour later, everyone starving for “real Italian pizza.” What I got instead was a 14 inch pizza (that only measures 12 inches across) that was paper thin and had almost no identifiable cheese. Eight tiny slices that only fed one adult and two children for 20 bucks. At 715pm the lady answering the phones was still telling callers an hour and a half wait for pizza. In the age of AI this sounds like a very unscientific prediction of a business that is lost in their own spaghetti sauce.

We had an outstanding experience at La Tela Pizzeria! We happened upon this restaurant and it was super busy, but we were able to take a seat at the counter. It's been a while since we last had pizza from La Tela Pizzeria. We have eaten here multiple times in the past. We were always pleased with the food and the service. Unfortunately, this last time we were highly disappointed. We had ordered two pizzas take-out: one was the mushroom pizza and the other was the sausage pizza. The mushroom pizza had an excessive amount of mushrooms - more than 1 cup per slice (arugula in a separate container due to take-out order). The sausage pizza had minimal sausage, at least compared to the amount of mushrooms on the mushroom pizza. While we appreciate the interesting pizza combinations on their menu, it is not well-rounded overall. Disappointed - we will not be back.

Really great food and service. It was a little loud and there was some trouble accommodating our larger group but they did a good job managing that. Not giving 5 stars because there was no place to change our infants diaper. I tried both bathrooms and ended up moving some decorations to change my son’s diaper on the decorative furniture. Pictures are from both of their bathrooms and the diaper changing options.

We were visiting Kiawah and heard great things about this place. It did not disappoint. They were packed when we showed up (which is always a good sign), but the staff handled it like pros. Super friendly and on top of it even with the craziness. The crispy calamari and pizza were great too. Fresh toppings and the perfect amount of char. The wait is long but worth it! We will be back.

Gluten-free options were super limited. They did have GF pasta but my only options were eggplant Parmesan for $26 (which I didn't order) or a very small salad for the entree and ice cream for dessert. The butternut squash salad was really good, just very small - very pretty center of the plate, not filling. The food was really good but I left hungry due to few options. I thought the prices were very high too. Restaurant was very crowded and noisy on a weeknight. Service was great. In their defense, the menu doesn't mention gluten-free at all - I was going by the previous reviews and others had said they had options.

In addition to the extensive wine options, guests can also choose from craft cocktails, beers, and a diverse menu featuring everything from charcuteries to entrees and artisan chocolates. The establishment is known for its seasonal menu that includes delectable dishes like lump crab cakes and savory charcuterie platters.
I absolutely love everything about FortyEight Wine Bar! The staff is superb, the food is delicious, the patio is dog friendly, and the wine selection is brilliant and the most fun you'll ever have at a wine bar. The fried green tomatoes are the best I've had in Charleston. Plus, they support the local community. 20/10 recommend. Special thank you to Joy and Dara for always making my visit special 💕

Quaint, super designed interior with wine stations that you can use a card like a vending machine. Cool concept. Food is solid and the meats very tender. The pimento Burger and garlic with bacon jelly is fantastic. Hometown goodness in Freshfields. Artichoke Dip with fresh bread crackers and veggies a must.

We've eaten here nearly every trip to kiawah since it has been open. Maybe it was the choices we made this time but I was not nearly as impressed with the food as I was in prior years. Three dry teeny scallops on the appetizer for the price was not a good choice and the spring rolls were burnt. (I don't know why but I thought they'd come in a rice wrapper and you'd actually see some shrimp. ) the short rib on our flatbread was fatty. After not choosing well we just decided to stop and move on for the evening versus moving on to entrees.

We loved this spot! Wines on tap, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Dara made great recommendations (do not miss the fried green tomatoes - they really are amazing!). We will definitely be back.

You must try the crab cakes. Ok so I spent over 35 years in Baltimore Maryland and we know crab cakes. These crab cakes were backfin with little filler and quite flavorful. Plus the sauce was an added bonus. I did not get a chance to taste my husband's grouper dish. Enough said. He really enjoyed it. Plus let me not forget to mention Dara and the great attentive service that she gave us. This is a place to visit. You need to make a reservation.

Despite it drizzling outside while we ate the chairs were dry and the umbrella kept us dry. Will return next time hopefully on a non rainy day.

We have been coming to Kiawah Island for years, and wanted to do something different from the usual vacation routine. Kelly was our dedicated server for our private dinner, and her service and attention to detail were spectacular. From appetizers and cocktails to dinner and the wine, we were thoroughly impressed. The quality of both the food and the service made for an unforgettable experience - we will most certainly be back! For anyone looking to enjoy a special meal in a private room, FortyEight is the way to go.

Would give the food and service a 4.5 if I could. Would be nice to just be able to order some wines by the glass versus having to jump up to serve ourselves from time to time. Crab cakes were wonderful but needed more more aioli. Portions were good. Salads and mussels were great. We enjoyed that we were not rushed.

The coffee shop was not busy when I was there around 2 pm. The guy behind the counter was friendly and taking my order promptly. I ordered half caffeinated iced lavender latte and I liked it.

I am a long time fan of Java Java.I have been coming here for over 13 years. They just changed their gluten free oat bar recipe and it is amazing!! The breakfast sandwich is perfect when you want a quick bite. I also love their coffee much more than ANYWHERE else in Freshfields. It isn't bitter and the cortado is made just perfectly. 13/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an amazing pastry or coffee plus they make a delicious fig prosciutto sandwich for lunch.

My family’s favorite breakfast spot. Their food is always fresh and delicious! The owner and her staff make us feel so welcome and go above and beyond. They know our order by heart
Jose S — Google review
This place is good but it lacks management, I have witnessed this twice. 15 minutes before closing the staff tells anyone in line that the kitchen is closed. We also walked in a few months ago 1 min before 3 and was told they are closed. If you’re open then you should be servicing your customers and not catering to the staff getting out the door right when the clock strikes. Clean the kitchen after you close, so your customers get the service they deserve for picking your restaurant.
Robpepsc — Google review
Giving this a 3 bc the coffee was good and the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant was also good. The coffee cake was meh, but the service was my issue. The barista that took my order wasn’t very friendly. As an owner of a coffee shop myself, an unfriendly team is definitely going to kill your business.
Ashley S — Google review
Went to this coffee shop with high hopes to find a nice local coffee shop. We placed our order which came to 20 dollars for three cups of coffee. We paid and TIPPED the workers which to our shock, they then complained about how our tip was not enough and how nobody was tipping loudly where patrons could hear. We then received our coffee which nobody was very friendly and it tasted almost like there was no coffee in the drink more so like a glass of milk. Sad to say we will never be going back there again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

My kids will never again be able to vacation at a resort with a “regular” pool! This complex is amazing with everything you need for a fun vacation. Besides the pools with kid-friendly water features and slides, the park also has a playground, market and cafe, poolside restaurant with great food and drinks, and fitness center. There are plenty of complimentary towels, lounge chairs, and shaded tables for having a meal. There are family activities throughout the week, and the highlight is the festival every summer Wednesday evening with games, entertainment and $3 ice cream!

This is an amazing park! It has so much stuff going on! On our most recent visit we used the nature center (the one in use right now is temporary until they build a bigger one) and the playground. There Is also disc golf, a pool, a coffee shop, lawn games, a basketball court, a gagaball court, a stage, and so much more that I can't even think of! We will definitely be back often!!

Fuji Sushi Bar & Grill on Kiawah Island offers a sophisticated dining experience with its specialty sushi rolls, sashimi, hibachi entrees, and noodle bowls. The upscale locale is perfect for those looking to enjoy a variety of Japanese cuisine in a stylish setting. Additionally, the restaurant provides take-out and delivery options for those who prefer to dine at home.
We had the BEST EXPERIENCE, and they served us with excellence even though they were 25 minutes from closing. We were the only ones in the restaurant for a Bday Trip and the Food, sushi, and hibachi was Great! I requested for the fried rice to be tossed longer in the Wok with sesame seeds... 🍚 It was SERIOUSLY THE BEST FRIED RICE WE'VE HAD IN A VERY VERY LONG TIME! The 🍣 sushi was very good and had a great taste, it was the sweetheart roll (I think) because Valentine's was two days away. Our waitress was very patient with us and answered all of our questions prior to ordering, because it was our 1st time at the restaurant.
J P — Google review
Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish I really wanted to like this place, but the customer service made it nearly impossible. I called to place a takeout order and was put on hold for 10 minutes—only to be hung up on without a word. Tried placing the order online instead, but there was no way to note a serious celiac allergy (a basic accommodation many restaurants offer now). When I arrived to explain and reorder in person, the hostess was visibly annoyed and dismissive, making the whole process even more uncomfortable. Asked me to put my original takeout order on the floor while I waited. For a restaurant that seems to pride itself on quality, the lack of care and courtesy for customers with dietary restrictions—and the general attitude—was really disappointing. I hope they improve their communication and service because right now, it’s not a place I can recommend.
Sunita P — Google review
Best time yet! I’ve been here a handful of times over the last year and I’ve enjoyed the food every time. Highly recommend the Christmas roll if you like a kick of spice with a little sweetness and crunch, the lobster or manhattan for a good basic and the valentines for that creamy and crunchy vibe. Our waitress, Georgia, was really great as well! She was super welcoming and attentive. Overall a great date night 🍣
Charlotte S — Google review
I must say I've never stepped into a restaurant with such a foul smell. It smells sour and it only gets stronger as you get closer to the kitchen. We sat at the end of the bar right next to the entrance to the sushi bar and it became so strong we had to stop eating our food. I highly recommend avoiding this place until the staff takes a care in cleanliness.

Ginza was really good, sushi was fine. Service was great and our food came out super fast.

Great service and asian specialties. The tuna carpaccio is world class. The chefs only speak Japanese, perfect, so our amazing waiter, Jacob, used piinting & mime to tell tgem I thought so. He also recommended the Gyoza, amazing. Open late too, which is not typical during the week in this area!
Rob E — Google review
The pictures of the sushi here speaks for itself. The most basic rolls and they look like this. The taste was absolutely horrible. Very fishy with almost dry yet paste like rice. I have given this place probably 5-6 tries. This last time I opted for hibachi. Was totally tasteless even with the white sauce. Kiawah is a wealthy town and really needs a solid Japanese and sushi place. This place sadly is just gross.

The food was delicious and well presented. The fried rice was the best that I have had in a long time. The price was reasonable and well presented had a short wait time. The thing that really made it special was our server, Cierra. She was quick to get refills and checked on us often. And she was incredibly friendly and professional but let her sense of humor shine through! This was my first visit to Kiawah location but was well satisfied. So when you go make it extra special and ask for Cierra!

Love the California Turkey sandwich and, of course, the frose. While I've had the sandwich at the other locations, I've had the best ones here. In my experience, the Freshfields location is fresher! Also, I dig the peaceful vibe of this location. Staff at all locations have been great.

Happened to stop by while on vacation. Got the Cowboy Chicken sandwich and it did NOT disappoint. Texture is everything in a sandwich (to me at least), and this one nailed it. Perfect combination of soft and crunchy, the ranch and avocado brings everything together. I can see why this is a best seller. Would definitely get it again 👌

My wife kept going on and on about her salad and how beautiful and tasty it was. she loved it so much she took one home for the following day. Courtney and Amanda took great care of us even despite the fact we came in 5 minutes before closing. You could tell Courtney really loved her job and loved making sure her customers were taken care of. Amanda was very friendly and welcoming to us all. Great location and atmosphere but that’s where it ends. The fish tacos were average at best and the chips and salsa were stale. It took quite a while for our food to arrive even though it was a simple dish. The poor understaffed crew was spread too thin and drinks went empty for quite a while.

Loggerhead Grill used to be a fantastic place to go, really great views and good food varieties. However, coming here in peak beach season June 2021 they did a terrible remodel of their menu. There’s 3 options now for lunch, and all at the same price. The turkey sandwich is worse than a grocery store sandwich; basic bread with 3 slices of turkey and a bland tomato. It’s night and day from their previous menu of fish tacos, which were fantastic. The poke bowl was equally bad, with one scoop of rice and a few pieces of salmon with a ton of black sesame seeds and 3 slices of avocado. Each item I mentioned cost $18, which was perfectly fine for their old menus. End result; still great views, terrible menu and way overpriced for the new options. They need to change the menu back to what it was; it was my family’s favorite place to go in Kiawah, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone go until they change their menu back to what it was.

Wait staff (Natoya and Paul) were excellent! The combination platter with half portions of Brisket and Ribs was delicious. The Four Cheese Mac kinda stole the show though. And that's saying a lot when there's brisket on the plate. The cornbread was not good. Sub it if you can. Same for the Chicken. Too dry and lacking seasoning. The BBQ Nachos with Pulled Pork were great! The kids got the Pulled Pork sandwiches and Cheeseburgers with Fries and loved it. Gorgeous location right off the golf course. We sat inside, but in hindsight would have loved to sit outside. Lots of little gators in the pond!

my wife and I took a holiday drive to Kiawah Island specifically to eat here. It was definitely not a disappointment. I had shrimp and grits, she had a small salad and BLT. The shrimp and grits was probably the second best. I’ve had here. The grits were impeccable, the shrimp were presented beautifully, and the overall taste was amazing. Her BLT had so much break. She actually had to remove some. The service was spot on, and the experience was definitely memorable.

Brunch and dinner! Dinner first, to be honest everything was amazing except for the chicken, it was way overcooked very dry. The duck was really good that they recommended medium rare and our group thought medium would have been better. The scallops were to die for! The beat salad with salmon added was very tasty, I recommend asking for extra dressing on the side. The fried green tomatoes and corn fritters were also very tasty! Now onto brunch! They have a good brunch menu but the buffet really shines. Fresh fruit, omelette station, pancakes, French toast, an amazing assortment of delicious artisan breads, croissants and other pastries. Highly recommend! Finally the staff, they are delightful, attentive and cheerful. You will leave with a smile on your face!

I dined here the day before my birthday and the food was exquisite. The service was amazing but I took off a star because I put on the reservation that it was for my birthday and there was no acknowledgement of that and there also was a shrimp that wasn't properly cleaned that I came across in my grits and pointed out to my waiter. Upon leaving I mentioned that my birthday wasn't acknowledged and he said that he didn't know. Outside of that everything was amazing. They had the best biscuits I've ever had at a restaurant to start with then I got the 3 course meal without the wine pairing that was perfect (with the exception of the shrimp). Their mocktails were good as well.

We had such a memorable evening at Jasmine’s Porch. From the second we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcomed and celebrated (on our babymoon). The evening was full of surprises. The food was delicious and our server, Veronica, took great care of us. We will never forget this dinner!

Ate lunch here and the food was awesome! Enjoyed the combo of the she crab soup, beet salad, crab cake slider with fresh fruit. Jasmine’s porch has a great view of the beach. And the people that work there are super friendly and nice.I’d say it’s one of the best places to go to when you are wanting great food and drinks and great service.

Excellent restaurant. We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night but they were able to fit us in. The bread service starts you off with warm biscuits and sweet butter a combination that melts in your mouth. My husband ordered The Low Country Tour. Starts off with fried green tomatoes and she crab bisque, both were delicious! His entree was a combination of a petite filet mignon served over spinach mushrooms and mashed potatoes and shrimp and grits. Again both were delicious! For dessert we ordered the raspberry cheesecake. We were so stuffed by the time dessert rolled around they made us to go (that's why the dessert is pictured in a box). Great restaurant, service was excellent we will be back.

Heron Park Nature Center is the central hub for Kiawah Island Golf Resort's nature program, offering a wide range of activities and experiences suitable for all ages and adventure levels. Visitors can explore exhibits showcasing local wildlife and interactive displays providing insights into the island's diverse ecosystems. The center also serves as an information point for booking nature tours and programs, with knowledgeable naturalists available to answer questions and guide visitors to the island's prime natural attractions.
This is such a fun little nature center! They have a ton of kids activities. The inside has a great little gift shop, as well as a dozen or so different species of different snakes, turtles, alligators, and other creatures. Also has a great playground and lots of trails right next to it. You dont have to be a guest or resident of the island to go, just let them know at the gate where you're headed.

We absolutely loved learning about the wildlife on Kiawah. The Tidal Trip and Dip and our visit to the Nature Center were both so much fun! Sophia was so knowledgeable and was awesome with my grand kids, they loved her!!! Definitely a high point of our week!!!

What a cute little nature center! The naturalist on our bird walk told us about the alligator hatchlings. They were not out when we visited, and the staff brought them out because we were so interested. So thoughtful and nice of them! Stop by if you want to see the cutest little alligator babies 🐊

We just did the twilight paddling tour—Abby and Sofia were awesome! They were so kind and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. We were lucky enough to be in a small group and had some great conversations. We even got to see some dolphins! We were so glad to meet these awesome naturalists and we hope to come back soon!

Great pool and friendly staff. The nature center is small but fun. Rent bikes, get a drink, or take a swim.

Did at the pools is limited but what they do have is very good and portion size is fair. There are 2 pools a family pool and a kids pool. The family pool is large with ample seating. Only about 1/3 has shade. The kids pool is not an infant pool but rather a activity pool with sliders and a splash zone. The whole thing is kept clean. During day hours you show your key and they give you as many towels as you want. They are large and soft. So unless your towel is also your support blanket leave them at the house. There is a life guard in the kids pool but not the family pool. Floats are allowed in the family pool I don't know about the kids pool

Recreation center
Mingo Point, located on the banks of the Kiawah River, is a beloved tradition and a must-visit foodie experience on Kiawah Island. Every Monday evening throughout summer and during major holidays, this event offers a delightful array of Southern delicacies such as BBQ, roasted oysters, and classic side dishes. The picturesque setting provides an ideal backdrop for enjoying live music and dancing under the stars while savoring mouthwatering dishes.
Captain Bradley Schmoll was an excellent Captain and guide for our sunset cruise

We have been many times and have always enjoyed it. With it as hot as it was, and shrimp overcooked and oysters either undercooked or overcooked, it was not worth the $60. You also only gove everyone an hour to eat, before you start breaking down.

Mingo Point oyster dinner is excellent! Highly recommend. 2 in our family don’t eat oysters & we had plenty pf choices for dinner. The favorite is the low country boil. So good! 2nd year going, we’ll be back again!

Nice view for sunset, long view across the marsh. Easy to get to from Kiawah or Seabrook. Hardly anybody there on a Saturday evening in September. Plenty of parking and places to pull off and sit in your car or on some lawn chairs. Many rockers scattered about if you don't have your own chair.

The resort also hosts exclusive events like the Charleston Wine + Food Festival's Five Star Lineup dinner at the award-winning Ocean Room.
The Sanctuary is the nicest hotel we’ve stayed at in years. It was my wife’s 70th birthday and they upgraded our room to club level with excellent views of the ocean and one hole on the golf course. Dinner at the Ocean Room was excellent as well as the service. The hotel is expensive but you get your moneys worth with superb food and service. We had great hamburgers at the Ryder Cup Bar outside on the porch w ocean and golf course view. Doesn’t get any better. The coffee shop in the hotel had very good lattes and almond croissants. Service again was excellent. The staff at the hotel are always friendly and really try to please you at all times. We only stayed two nights but are heading back in October to celebrate our anniversary for 3 nights. The hotel is only 30 minutes from Charleston another fun place to visit.

Excellent ocean views from our room, classy hotel and great vibes; staff was friendly and management will go the extra mile for you. Definitely book at least one dinner at the Ocean Room. 5-star all around was our experience! Note: villas on the island are completely unrelated to this hotel, the 1 and 2 star review people are confused somehow and writing reviews in the wrong place.

I love this place so much! This is my 3rd time here ,and its always amazing! They pay attention to literally every detail! The beach is extremely clean and peaceful, even the busiest months its not crowded or overwhelming at all! The hotel staff is super professional, really a well organized place! I highly recommend staying here!

I came here to see a concert. I liked the fact that I could use the valet service to park my car even though I was not staying at the resort! The concert area was nice! When they said they treated the outside so that there weren't any mosquitoes, there wasn't a single one-and I thoroughly enjoyed that! Flies-there were a few but not so many that you couldn't eat and enjoy yourself! There was plenty of space to watch the show and dance if you wanted to. The views behind the concert area was the Atlantic Ocean so that was nice plus! If you need to go to the bathroom, be ready to walk to the nearest one...and the bathrooms are gorgeous!! The outside food that they served during the concert was $30 for a hamburger and chips! We ended up going inside and ordering from one of the restaurants and even the kids' meals were starting to $20! I can't eat a lot so I ordered a kid's hamburger meal which came with fries and a drink and let me tell you...that filled me up and it was WAY better than what my friend ordered outside!! I wish I knew what was in the burger meat-lol! This is a very upscale hotel so if you are planning on staying, you are looking at $300+ a night. Getting on the resort was a PAIN because there's only one check-in line and if you are in the wrong line, you are SCREWED!! If you are visiting, stay to the left!! If you need to get there early, plan on arriving at least an hour beforehand! Kiawah island is mostly upscale resorts and golf courses so if you aren't into that, I don't recommend coming here.

It’s always a joy to be part of events at The Sanctuary. With my music group, Charleston Virtuosi, I’ve had the pleasure of performing at many beautiful weddings here — and I’ve also enjoyed a romantic staycation with my wife.

Prefer not to rate it for I have not been there yet. They advise to book, reserve etc in advance but despite calling at different times during the day, the concierge at The Sanctuary is difficult to reach. Is this standard practice for a luxury resort hotel? They also confused my last name with my email address. Really? Have to fill out the questionnaire to post so know that my ratings are not accurate.
Jane S — Google review
I have yet to even arrive at this resort. I have continually attempted to get ahold of anyone at the concierge to help with scheduling basic items for my arrival, car transportation and reservations. I have left countless messages at this point. I assume I have been patched through to voicemail at least 30 times. The front desk is available and has even told me they can see that the concierge is available and not helping anyone at the moment “let me transfer you over”. Voicemail again. That has happened 3 times. Not even there and service has been inexcusably poor.

The hotel is very nice, we were booked in for a conference for 6 nights with King Bed. Checked in and arrived to 2 Queens. Asked to be moved to a King bed and was told by the manager on duty the "you are on a group rate and we can put you anywhere we want". So, I was left to feel like a lowlife while paying $680 per night. Manager could use a little tact training. Everyone else was spectacular. Shows how 1 person can change the entire thought process of the stay.

We really enjoyed a dinner here, the food is very filling and the staff is super friendly. The burger is cheesy and aioli goes very well with it. We split a fall harvest salad which was very tasty as their made in house dressing complemented it very well. Soup was good too. Nice place

Family restaurant. Staffs are very friendly and the food is beyond my expectations. We gobbled so didn’t even have chance to take a picture. At least, I got pictures of menu. We ordered over cheese sandwich, friend chicken sandwich (original and buffalo) and chicken salad croissant. All are delicious!

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We called ahead for take out and our order was ready right on time. The entire restaurant is clean and well organized. The chicken dinner for two was the perfect size and absolutely delicious. We thought the garlic bread was a great addition as well, but the dessert really hit it out of the park. Each strawberry cobbler is enough for two people to have a large serving. We’ll definitely be back!

The Ocean Course

Golf course
The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort is a must-play for avid golfers seeking a challenging and picturesque experience. Designed by Pete Dye, this renowned course features an impressive layout with 10 holes bordering the Atlantic Ocean and eight running parallel to it. Despite being initially built behind the dunes, the entire course was elevated to offer breathtaking views of Kiawah's coastline from every hole.
A top course in the world. The whole experience lives up to the hype. Clubhouse/bar/restaurant: great selection and conveniently located. We found the pub to have the best food selection. Practice facility: walk out to the putting/chipping area along the ocean side. Relaxing and convenient. Course: a new feel on every hole. Great conditions tee to green. Wildlife and surrounding areas makes the experience even more enjoyable. Pros: memorable layout and hole designs. Extremely challenging in a great way, as the tee shots are forgiving enough. Not a terrible walk, and there are shuttles at 1 & 10 to help. Cons (but not all that bad): get a caddy, I did not have one. Extremely slopped around greens. Some lies are nearly unplayable due to banks, hidden hazard type areas that aren't necessarily out of play. Some green side bunker/waste areas are very firm, not an issue in the fairway, but can be challenging greenside.

Experience of a lifetime. Incredible scenery with gators and deer all around. VERY windy day, but it was a wonderful time. The boys’ caddie (I believe his name was Gary), was truly wonderful.

Played the ocean course yesterday afternoon. It is definitely worth the hype! I was linked up with the forecaddie, Skylar. He was awesome! Made the experience so much fun and helped navigate the course. He was a great hype boy! And so patient with my requests to take 192840103893 photos. I hope to play again :)

Overall great experience start to finish from bag drop to the 18th hole + the 19th at the Ryder Cup bar. This course has teeth and is visually and physically extremely tough! It’s a must play for avid golfers. Shout out to my caddie Sean, great guy, breaking 80 was a dream. Thanks Ocean Course for the hospitality and challenge.
Derek S — Google review
Course is an amazing layout, if you ever get the chance to play. Do it. With that said, I hadn't visited in a couple years, but had a friend in town that played yesterday and we met this afternoon for a couple drinks at the clubhouse. We met on the range after his round and I have to say that the conditions of it were pretty awful to say the least. The teeing ground was set in a place where there was barely any grass, due to excessive divots and use. The ground was completely unlevel, and no real signs of attempting to level it in the past with basic landscaping or sand leveling / no grass to actually hit off of - It was basically a few blades short of hard pan. Not to mention the targets on the range, bunkers, and greens show little to no effort to maintain those either after they redid the range about 7 or 8 years ago. After that, he went over to hit a couple putts on the practice green and that green was also struggling. Patches of bare areas throughout the green were also not characteristic of a top listed world golf course. I felt bad for him coming down here with high expectations of a pristine golf course while customers are paying $600 to $700 plus dollars to play during peak season, it's really not a good look. As far as the course goes he said it was in okay shape as well, which it shouldn't be, it should be in fantastic shape for that amount of money. Just so disappointing seeing the course have much better days and experiences in year's past. Hopefully they'll focus more on the details and first impressions for the guests.
Sebastian D — Google review
The Ocean Course is nothing short of spectacular. With incredibly small greens, this course demands precision and touch on every approach. Your short game must be razor-sharp—there’s no room for error around the greens. The front nine played into a strong wind that exaggerated any slice, while the back nine punished hook shots with equally intense gusts in the opposite direction. It’s a course where the wind is not just a factor—it’s the main character. I truly love Pete Dye’s design philosophy. His courses challenge you mentally, and The Ocean Course might be his finest example. Every hole tells a story, and none more so than the iconic 17th. Much like TPC Sawgrass’s famous island green, the 17th here is a masterpiece set against the vast Atlantic. This is a course you’ll respect, remember, and want to return to—even if it humbles you.
MAX K — Google review
Probably the nicest golf courses I've ever played on. The fairways, greens, even the rough are all prestine. The sand is as soft as the beach and easy to hit out of. Wind could be gusting for most of your shots so listen to your caddy!
Victor L — Google review
The Ocean course is 5 star. What a great course and it is a true test of golf. The pro shop staff I encounter I would give a 1 star at best. On Friday I asked about moving from Saturday morning to Sunday because of weather coming in. I was a single and would take any tee time, without looking at his computer he said I could not and the weather was going to we worse Sunday. I asked again when I arrived Saturday morning for my early tee time. A different staff said there was not lightening so I could play and he also said no to moving with out checking. Weather, I played in rain Saturday that became unplayable and Sunday was perfect. Also, neither guy looked me in the eye, hardly looked up.

The Atlantic Room is a sophisticated seafood restaurant located at Kiawah resort, offering eclectic dishes and a wide selection of wines. Situated in the Ocean Course Clubhouse, this premier dining spot provides breathtaking ocean views and uses seasonal ingredients to create fresh and innovative dishes. It's known for its top-tier dining experience, making it a must-visit for those looking for an exceptional culinary experience with a view.
Executive Chef Ondo was so kind and friendly to our table. What an inviting experience he provided. Our server Rodney didn’t seem emotionally invested while hosting our table but no problems with the food. The Atlantic Room is deserving of five stars.

Worst shrimp and grits I have ever had. Trying to be southern food but no flavor. How do you serve shrimp and grits in the low country without seasoning? You are better off eating at Ryder Cup bar with better food for half the price.
Tyler M — Google review
Big disappointment. Atmosphere with the views of the 18 hole and the Atlantic Ocean were amazing. Everything else was a disappointment. I agree with a previous review that an expensive restaurant does not guarantee quality. And in this case the quality was overall below average. The service was below average and the sides were served without serving utensils. The crispy shrimp appetizer was excellent as was the tuna tartare. The entrees were below average, especially considering the price. I had the Captain's Stew which included a pathetically small piece of the fresh catch of the day. The pappardelle was dry and bland. The fresh catch was the best dish. The great views and atmosphere were also overshadowed by all the babies and toddler in attendance. I was surprised to see how many people brought toddlers and babies to dinner which created chaos and noise. After dinner we went out to the putting green for some photos and one family literally had set up a picnic on the putting green for their young family. Can you imaging setting up a picnic on the putting green of a world class golf course? I would recommend coming for the photos and views, having a drink at the bar, and getting dinner somewhere else. Dinner at the Atlantic room was not worth the price.

The food here was very good and the service was exceptional. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the local area. The wine list is expansive and there is something for everyone. I loved the shrimp and grits. The view of the golf course and ocean from each table is incredible.

Beautiful dining room with sweeping views of the Kiawah island golf course and ocean! However the food is lacking. It would be great if soy was omitted from many of the dishes as soy is a common allergy.
April L — Google review
I cleaned my plate and that doesn't happen often. The salmon was perfectly crisp on the outside while being perfectly cooked on the inside. I can't wait to go back again.
Stephanie B — Google review
The best thing about this restaurant is the view!! It is a 5 star view. Having dinner here is cheaper than a round on the Ocean Course but a great way to see the course! It's right at the 18th hole so if you get an early dinner you'll enjoy sewing golfers finish out their round. I recommend if you're staying on the Island to have a dinner here! Giving 5 stars because it doesn't compare to other restaurants I've been to in the same price point. There was a lack of attention to detail and the menu options were a bit lack-luster. There was nothing bad about the experience, it just was not 5 stars. I still recommend for the view & eating at 18th hole on ocean course!

Outdoor Activities
Osprey Point Golf Course is a renowned destination known for its stunning views of coastal woodlands, lagoons, and wetlands. It has been recognized as one of America's Top 50 Courses for Women, making it an ideal feature for a Kiawah girlfriend trip. The course takes full advantage of Kiawah's natural features, offering a picturesque setting with well-maintained greens and fairways.
Such a fun course. The conditions were perfect. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Driving range grass hitting areas were in great shape. Electric carts all worked well. The course itself is beautiful. Lots of holes along the water lots of trees and plants make you feel like you're in nature. There are houses but well hidden. Never felt like I was going to hit a house. Greens rolled true and most had some slope but nothing terribly hard. All in all a very fair course for a variety of skill levels. I had a great time and highly recommend it.

We played in late Feb so it was pretty cold and our tee time got pushed to later due to early morning frost. The starter, Larry, was somewhat rude and rigid in his approach to starting players on the first tee. He turned us off to wanting to play this course again. Additionally, there were no Marshall’s asking people to speed up play. We barely got done before the sun went down due to slow play in front of us. The saving of the day is we truly enjoyed the couple we played with from North Carolina and the golf course was lovely.
Susan B — Google review
Awesome golf experience! Fairways and greens lush and smooth. Not so difficult that it took the fun out, yet challenging enough to make you want to go back.
Kevin C — Google review
We played Osprey Point during our annual guys’ golf trip to Kiawah Island, and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. The course was in fantastic shape — lush fairways, smooth greens, and just an all-around beautiful layout. Osprey had more of a relaxed, resort-style feel compared to some of the other courses we played, but it still kept things interesting. Wide fairways gave you a little breathing room off the tee, but the bunkering and water hazards definitely made you think on your approach shots. Every hole had its own look and feel, which kept it fun the whole way through. The staff was great, really welcoming and kept everything running smoothly. Pace of play was right on point too — no waiting, no rushing. Osprey Point was a perfect part of an unforgettable trip, and it’s definitely a course we’ll be coming back to next time we’re at Kiawah.

This course is amazing! As someone who has played nearly a quarter of all Golf Digest Top 100 Public courses, it amazes me that this course did not make the last in recent years. The course is in immaculate shape, even for the end of winter. The course is very scenic and provides a lot of challenge, and provides no ounce of gimmicks. You will be challenged with intimidating shots over water, and tight out of bounds markers. But, you will still appreciate plenty of scorable holes. The greens are in fantastic shape, however they are just a little on the slower side. Additionally, I was disappointed in the quality of the courses carts, lacking features, jerkiness with the brakes, and I was disappointed to find that on the first hole our tire was completely flat. Lastly, I was very surprised that the clubhouse offers minimal food options on Sundays throughout the entire day. After being offered a microwavable Jimmy Dean sandwich, I was a little turned off. However, If you have the opportunity to play Osprey Point, I would highly recommend it.

Employees of this course run stop signs in their carts— going the opposite direction of play— and nearly cause accidents multiple times a week. Never any apology or even a wave from the old man with AirPods or the cart girl. Today I had a cart nearly collide with me on one of the many areas where the cart path overlaps with a bike path. Get your act together Osprey Point. It’s one thing for tourists to be uninformed but for your staff to do it is a problem.

The Ryder Cup Bar is a popular gathering spot on Kiawah Island, offering a relaxed atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's known for its famed Bagger Burger, named after The Legend of Bagger Vance, a movie filmed at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort. After a round of golf at the Ocean Course, visitors can enjoy refreshments and cocktails at this beautiful clubhouse bar with an expansive menu and stunning views of the beach and sunset.
We’ve eaten here for last 3 visits. They don’t take reservations so you may need to wait but we’ve never had to wait long. The food is delicious and you may be able to order off the ocean course menu too. The highlight was the Executive chef, who is so nice, and came out to serve our teens their desserts and spoke to us for a bit. Thank you for a memorable and delicious dinner!

Wow! Even if you do not play golf be sure and visit the Ryder Cup for Dinner, drinks and a spectacular sunset!! The food, Old Fashioned and service were all spectacular. We ate outside looking out on the ocean. This view is truly priceless. 😍

Beautiful setting plenty of outdoor seating Delicious crab sliders, wonderful wines and tea lots of sandwiches options too. Fast service and plenty of staff. Easy parking

Always amazing here, we got the crab dip which was fantastic. However, any trip here is incomplete without the spicy shrimp. The steak frites was amazing as always. I liked the addition of spinach.

We visited the island in December and the food and service was pretty good. I was excited to go back with friends who have been familiar with the island for more than 30 years. We were originally told it would be a 40 minute wait which we were totally fine with. Within 5 minutes we got called and that the table was ready. We were taken outside all the way to the end of the seating area and seated at a table with dirty stained chairs right next to the door where food was coming out of the kitchen. The mosquitos were unbearable. No amount of bug spray could have prepared us for that meal. The food took a very long time to come and when it finally did come we boxed it up to leave and eat it at home. The simple things that could have been done for guest enjoyment such as citronella candles or torches weren’t used. When we complained we were offered bug spray which shows it’s been an ongoing problem and the restaurant just didn’t care enough to warn guests or provide alternatives. $600 for a casual meal with friends is totally ridiculous when it was miserable. Furthermore the food was mediocre at best. Totally unimpressed.

Great bar overlooking the ocean course. If you are being seated outside, bring bug spray as the bigs can get nasty. The food is ok, nothing to write home about. It's really about the view and location. Cool place to come hang out at the end of the day.

Beautiful view, but extremely limited seating. No reservations. The lunch menu is better. The falafel was amazing! Wish they had more healthy or vegan options. A bit on the pricey side. Keep in mind, this restaurant is essentially a bar, and it may not be appropriate to bring young children if you’re one of those adults who has an issue with adult conversations around children’s ears…

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. For starters, it was a minimum 85 degrees and extremely hot in the dining area. Multiple times I went to the bathroom just to cool off. It was so hot, that my salad was warm while eating it. On top of it, the service was very average, the food was very average - my sandwich had an excess of mayonnaise on it, as if the cap of the mayonnaise fell off and it exploded on my sandwich. I would prefer if I never came back to this place in my life as it was overpriced and a poor experience.

Ocean Course Clubhouse

Golf club
Restaurant
The Ocean Course Clubhouse at Kiawah Island Golf Resort is a prestigious destination that hosted a major national golf tournament in 2021. The course offers a challenging experience with the largest number of seaside holes in North America. The Ocean Course Grill provides stunning sunset views and casual dining options, surrounded by five championship golf courses certified as Cooperative Sanctuaries by Audubon International. Lunch at the clubhouse is highly recommended, offering an oceanfront setting and requiring reservations for access.
I was able to play this amazing course with my bucket list crew recently, it was the second time for me. To sum it up, The Ocean Course is unlike almost all other courses out there. It has so many holes right on or in full view of the ocean which makes this an obviously picturesque course. Interestingly, the course has no 'bunkers' per se. If you are aware of this course, you might be scratching your head. The official rule is that - there are no bunkers... all the sand is considered waste areas. Believe me when I say that there is a lot of sand/waste areas, much of which is definitely in play on almost all shots to be played here. Considering this, the course is definitely a challenge for the average golfer & even the better than average golfer. Many/most approaches to the greens are met with raised doomed greens that just let your balls slide off into the greenside waste areas. The course is kept in very good shape & the design is excellent. Caddies are pretty solid & definitely earned their wages the 2 days we played the course. I say that they earned it because unfortunately, during our 3 day stay the winds were near zero & also headed from the mainland side. It was "unusual" yes, but not unheard of. This caused 2 things to occur during our visit : 1. a crazy out of control swarm of mosquitos on 15 out of the 18 holes played. Even if you were in the center of the fairway(although that was best), their incessant buzzing/biting was at best terribly distracting & at worst caused the entire round to be a complete disappointment. One player on our group had close to 40 stings/bites. Numerous foursomes quit their round after only 3-6 holes being played, yes it was that bad. No, bug spray/repellant whatever- it had only a 2-4% effect(i.e. basically no effect). 2. The other 'thing' this 'unusual' weather/wind pattern caused was a tornado that turned into a waterspout right between the course(Kiawah Island) & the mainland. See pics, very cool. The clubhouse restaurant food & drinks were very good, but not cheap as to be expected.

I thought I died and went to heaven. The course is amazing and the greens are spectacular.. as well as the views. Jasper our caddy was a gentleman and had a great deal of knowledge about the course and area.. I would have Jasper caddy again for me!

Came here to grab a drink at the Ryder Cup Bar and watch the sunset. It was crowded but we got a place to sit right up at the bar. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The views are incredible and the golf course looks unmatched! Can’t wait to come back and play the course.

Our party tried the restaurant in the clubhouse. We had an excellent table out on the patio which was a picture perfect setting. The service was excellent and so was the food. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was delicious!

The course, clubhouse and overall facility was fantastic! The caddie, Jeff, was a friendly, knowledgeable, considerate and all around professional. These are the reasons for the five star review. Great job!

The Ocean Course is a very special golf destination! As a full-time professional photographer in Charleston, I always love photographing corporate golf outings, weddings, receptions, and other events at this gorgeous venue! Aside from the golf...the views are incredible, the food is great, and the staff is fantastic. HIGHLY recommended!!!

Spectacular views, and the food was amazing. I recommend sitting outside because I really enjoyed having a cocktail watching the golfers and the beautiful ocean. Whether it’s just drinks or a full meal, definitely a top choice on Kiawah Island.

Great experience. One of the toughest courses I’ve ever played but still fun. Pete Dye designs are set up to hit specific targets and to make you pay a price for errant shots. This was no exception. It is pricey but is also a bucket list type of course. Enjoyed everything from the course, practice facilities, restaurant and the staff. This is a must for the avid golfer.
