We were passing through from out of town and stopped in for dinner. This place is amazing! The food was delicious and our server was so friendly. If we lived near by, we would definitely be back again. The artichoke dip is a must try if you like creamy dips.

I must be honest. Huma Lupa Licious is my FAVORITE BEER. So I'm a little biased. We had an opportunity to visit the restaurant recently and I am glad to write this review. What's most interesting about this place is it's in the middle of nowhere but the restaurant was full. On a Sunday! Staff was friendly. Food was above average but not outstanding. Beer was THE BEST!!!

Stopped by to try their beer and have a mini pizza for lunch. I had the "mutilated lips" pizza and it wasnt bad. The beer is top notch, I had no complaints as every one I tried in my flight tasted as described in the menue. The only thing i didnt like was so many high top tables and not enough lower ones.

Had the beer flights and ordered a build your own pizza. Everything was good and fresh and absolutely delicious. Cold beer and pizza and pretzels for an appetizer.

Undoubtedly the best burger you can get for under $10. Soft, fluffy bun surrounding a perfectly cooked burger with melty cheese and tasty bro sauce. The shandy was a perfect summer beverage to wash it down. Live music at the beer garden was a bonus. Loved everything about this place. It was a highlight of our trip.

Shorts makes me wish Bellaire was closer to home, because I love coming here. The pizza and sandwiches are delicious here! Definitely a great spot for grabbing lunch or dinner with a few friends.

Great stop on our fall colors drive! Loved the Pure Michigan Cherry Kolsh! My husband got a flight because there were too many he wanted to try!

Waitress was very slow. Forgot to give us our drinks and silverware. Chicken fajitas had pre-processed chicken as well as the chicken salad. Hamburgers weren’t bad, but not worth what we paid. Don’t recommend!!

Stopped in for a few beers and the place was great bartenders were very nice atmosphere was good . The owner was cleaning tables and introduced himself was very nice . Will definitely stop back in . When you go in an establishment for first time you want to feel welcomed and that's how I felt . I highly recommend good people good vibe .

Not sure if it was just a one off experience, but tried to go on Tues, and they were closed even though Google lists them as open (and hours confirmed recently by company). No big deal, I'm new to the area and have many places to try out still. Went back yesterday and we tried a couple of the best burgers we have ever had! They get their beef from a local farm, and you can taste the difference. Seasoned well, but not in a way that competes with the flavor of the meat. We had the western and olive burgers, both "house specialties" and both DELICIOUS. Tried both the fries and onion rings which were great, though I think I enjoyed the fries more. The only thing neither of us were fond of was the coleslaw which looked so good but had an off taste, but we figure that's an exception and not the norm. My partner had a draft beer and I had a cocktail, both great. Service was exactly how I like it, informed and welcoming. Attentive, but not overwhelming. And of course friendly, as just about everyone I've met in this area is. Will definitely be coming back soon and frequently, there were too many good things on the menu to try in one visit!

We ordered the breakfast special and my eggs were cooked perfectly. The loaded hash browns were packed with meat. They were a bit busy but our server was very nice and everything came out correctly. Nice restaurant.

This was a cool place to grab an app and a drink. Will definitely return. My guess is that locals frequent here versus their busy neighbor at Shorts Brewing.

Amazing food and service. I ordered the black bean burger which was made from scratch. It was delicious. Everything was served hot and fresh and came our quickly. I appreciate that they had a vegetarian option!

This salad has more bacon than lettuce and 3 times as much chicken plus its floating in liquid. My wings are ok. All in all a gross meal.

Smoked salmon was outstanding. smoked whitefish & trout were sold out by 4:30 pm. We also bought fish sausage that’s unique & surprisingly delicious. Many fresh fish & meat options as well. The cashier was friendly but forgot to give our credit card back- we didn’t discover this until miles away so had to cancel the card.

Good selection of local and brought in fish and seafood. They also have a lot of cheeses and jerky and dips that are available. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good source and want to support a local business.

Great service excellent smoked salmon. Visited on a family vacation with my daughter and we bought a section of smoked salmon it was fantastic. Perfect patina to the fish and the flavor was phenomenal. I recommend for any smoked food fanatic.

Visited Bellaire Smokehouse today for the first time after it was highly recommended. The fresh salmon was simply amazing! We prepared it with their homemade coleslaw and German potato salad. In addition to this, we purchased Dirk's Wurst, Smoked Polish and Beef Summer Sausage. Jeff was awesome and Karen has assembled an incredible wine selection. If you're going to Bellaire, bring a cooler and stop by the Bellaire Smokehouse. You'll be glad you did!

From Fl wife and I make it a point yearly to always stop at the Bellaire Smokehouse to purchase prime cuts of meat. Never disappointed, always super satisfied. Karen, Jeff and Kyle are extremely friendly making us feel like family. Can’t go wrong at this family run Smokehouse.

Don't even like sausage but sausage from here was fantastic. They got something for everyone, just stop by and find yours. a great place to stop and just smell the air, but if you do go to just get a whiff, leave a tip...

We stopped in not knowing what the business was. We were both pleasantly surprised to have found a cute little bar. We tried mead for the 1st time and I was blown away, the flavors were amazing. The owner Jeremy was very informative and on the ball as bar tender!

Cool spot with some really good ciders. Homey, warm feel with a music vibe - played on LPs behind the bar. The Roots were spinning while we were in there. Fav cider was the Carmen Sandiego, crisp and refreshing. Service was great.

I have never been to their actual location, but I purchased their be well-made antrim apple pie at a local store. They said that they had just got a new shipment in from them and this was honestly the most disgusting thing I had ever had in my entire life. We were so excited as we had heard such wonderful things by so many friends and family who have tried their drinks before. But never in my entire life have I purchased something that was supposedly brand new and it was rotten. The rotten taste lingered in all of my friends and families mouths for multiple hours after we had multiple drinks of water soda, and even Listerine because that’s how disgusting it was. Please if you are the company, please let me know why this tasted so rotten and why the old taste lingered for multiple hours later. Please let me know if this is normal for your drinks to taste old and moldy and undrinkable after the first sip as this was the worst experience we’ve ever had trying something new after we had received so much praise for the amazing flavors from your company.

I can totally see why this place has such high reviews. The server/bartender was nice and quick to serve us. There's a great sound system and he was spinning some vinyl records while we drank. The overall vibe was chill and really pleasant. We only tried a flight of four of the meads, and they were not bad, even a tad above average I reckon with some fruity options, but the price was $22 for the 16-18oz of mead. We didn't see till about half-way through drinking the flight that there is a $2 charge for EACH mead added to the $14 flight price. That's our own fault really, as we just didn't see it, nor did we ask before ordering. Whomp. It looked like pricing for stuff you could take out the door was super cheap though (like $12 for four cans of mead). So not sure what's with the flight pricing, but if you're in the area, this place is certainly worth a visit.

I can't say enough about Bee Well. From the moment you set foot in the door, you're greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly owner. The mead and cider offerings are extensive and of the eight that I sampled I can honestly say I didn't have a bad one in the bunch. The decor and music offerings matched perfectly with the drinks and the entire vibe of the bar. Co-owner Jeremy, was super friendly and a wonderful conversationalist who offered what turned out to be some amazing travel recommendations for Traverse City and the nearby area. This is one establishment that you HAVE to experience!!

We always make it a point to stop in for a glass or three plus something to take home whenever we're in Bellaire. Sometimes we even make a special trip up just to enjoy the magic that is Bee Well! The first time we stopped in the owner was behind the bar and was extremely helpful and friendly. They have a large vinyl collection that they spin behind the bar and I loved the idea so much I implemented a vinyl night at the brewery I was managing at the time, which led to me accumulating my own vinyl collection that continues to grow. The meads and cysers are my favorite, but they also have a large selection of ciders that are all made with locally sourced ingredients. Every person we've interacted with has been super friendly and knowledgeable, and we've always enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend!!!!

Nice and well maintained trails for bikes and hiking. Parking lots mostly equipped with toitoi cubicals. I would rather recomend to use bike than to hike the distance, which becomes a bit boring after while, when on bicycle you can enjoy fast turns and bumps.

While on vacation in Toch Lake, we visited a different pathway at Glacial Hills every morning with our 3 dogs. It was absolutely gorgeous. Not only did it feel like I stepped into a different world, but was so well organized and the trails were marked so perfectly. Can't wait to visit again.

Great woods for biking or hiking. We had a great time hiking the blue trail. Trails are well marked and very nice taken care of. A great place to hike before hanging out at Shorts!!

Fun bike trail for all abilities- easy enough for Mom, adventurous enough for the daredevil kids. Several miles of trails, could spend half the day here. Trails are cool even on hot days as most are well shaded

We did the bear den trail and out of the 20 hikes we took in this area during our visit, this one was the stand out best. Ups, downs, twists, turns, diverse terrain changes and types of forest, at least 40 different fungi, wildlife viewing opportunities, and an exhilarating, challenging hike, without being too difficult or any of the steep, leg burning uphill battles many hikes like this tend to have. It would be worth it to make the six hour trip back north just to get to hike this trail again, that's how good it was.

Very fun, fast flowy mountain bike trail. No features or jumps, but if you're in shape and can keep a good pace, this is one of my favorite trails for fast flow!

Nice pathway. We visited during the morning and it was raining. A large part of the trail was covered by trees so the rain didn't bother us much. Quiet trail that is marked along the way. Take a Pic of the map before you start.

We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant because we had heard such great things. My husband ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Caught up in conversation and enjoying the sandwich’s flavor, he didn’t realize the chicken was undercooked right away. When he mentioned it to our server, her response was, “Why did you eat it?” followed by, “You’re not the first one to say this. It seems to be happening often.” All my husband asked was for the undercooked sandwich to be removed from our bill. However, when the check arrived, the sandwich was still listed. After he pointed it out, it was finally removed, but there was no apology, no visit from a manager—nothing. We will not be returning.

My brother and a childhood friend went there for lunch. It was a great experience, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants a fully satisfying meal. We started with a spare ribs appetizer that was simply divine! I had the best open face beef sandwich of my life. The service was quick, friendly, and totally scrumptious! Even though they were near capacity (for lunch!) we didn't have to wait for a table or meal. Do yourself a favor and go eat hear as soon as you can!

Took awhile to be seated but it looked like we came in right after the big dinner rush, so they were trying to clean up after that. No biggie! Once sat, our waitress got our drinks and dinner order all together. Love that they had a full bar and a lot of options to choose from. We ordered the loaded tots, I got the fiesta chicken salad and my husband got the white perch. The loaded tots were what you would expect, loaded with cheese, bacon and sour cream. The tots were crispy which I love! The grilled fiesta salad was just a basic salad. The ranch was a thinner ranch with not tons of flavor but the chicken was cooked well. My husband said the perch was perfectly cooked with a light breading and the tartar sauce wasn’t overwhelming but complimented the fish perfectly! Cute diner type vibe! Would definitely return!

We stopped in for breakfast one day and dinner another day. The breakfast items that we had were very good and we stopped in for their all you can eat fish fry on Friday night and that was great. I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

Good food, excellent service & a nice venue. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich along with a bowl of French onion soup for an appetizer. The sandwich was a generous portion & came with thin cut fries for a fair price of $17. The soup was a bit expensive at $9 but it was good although I prefer one large crouton vs small salad style croutons. Overall it was a good experience & we would eat there again in the future.

Surprisingly SPECTACULAR experience!! If you are thinking of eating here, DO IT!! It’s worth driving out of the way for. The food was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and totally delicious. Service was very nice and we loved everything we ordered: bacon brie burger, sea food pasta, bruschetta, and cookie/ice cream. Portions are not very large so definitely consider getting an apprised. Such an awesome restaurant nestled in a quaint downtown area! We met the owner on our first visit, who was friendly and incredibly accommodating of us without having reservations. Our food was absolutely delicious, tenderloin, scallops, and the cookie skillet with ice cream ontop. The service was fast and the staff was very kind and friendly. We will definitely make this a regular stop of ours!

Great place for drinks and dinner. Had a reservation and our table was ready and we got seated early. Parking is little difficult, the connecting lot is for the post office or by permit. Street parking fills up. Service was great, they timed out our food nicely. Steak Tartare, house salad, french onion soup, and tenderloins with mashed potatoes were all delicious. The inside area is on smaller side, can get a little noisy and crowded.

You might encounter the best French fries of your life here: a unique potato slicing method, great texture, perfect seasoning... you've never had their equal. Everything else we ordered on both visits was delicious. And They're open for lunch, but haven't updated hours yet!

Very quaint and quiet bistro in Bellaire with great wait staff. Good to get a reservation, but we didn't have a problem walking in. Menu is seafood heavy, but there are some other beef/chicken/veg options. I wish the food was a bit more special-- it was good, but seemed either small or pricey/basic for what we got. $35 entrees should include either rolls or a salad, IMO.

Leaving a 5 star review because, MAN, the pizza is AMAZING for a smaller bowling alley! We were in town for Memorial Day weekend and we were talking about how we will miss the pizza when we have to go back home!

The arcade was fun and, while we weren’t good at it, we bowled as well. It was a lot of fun and the service was really friendly. Surprised more people don’t come here! (Didn’t eat any food though, but it looked good.)

Took 3 boys on a Monday afternoon shortly after opening. The kids had fun at the arcade. Food specials for 3-6pm were perfect for the kids and the place wasn’t crowded. Overall a fun experience for the boys.

The menu is half of what it is online. My sister ordered a pizza half with extra pineapple there really wasn’t extra and then they tried to charge her 10$ for extra pineapple on one half! 2.50$ 4x. The lady working also tried to charge my bill for a drink I never had.

Stopped to play arcade games. Lanes and cafe busy, but still quick service when we needed it. Great place to enjoy an hour or two.

What a great time at Bellaire Lanes, I haven't bowled for like 35 years, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Remodeled interior with full bar, lots of seating for sandwiches, meals, happy hour. Bowling area is spacious, bowling shoes and balls, smart bowling screens and lockers available. Pay by game or hour. However, all of the amenities didn't help my bowling score. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Played 18 holes with a coupon I received from groupgolfer. The chief was great about honoring the codes. This course was one of the prettiest courses I have been too, but also the most challenging. The course was spaced out beautifully with signage. Only downfall was it felt we were jam packed with 5 groups going at once, with a bit of waiting and at the same time feeling rushed by the group behind us. The cart girl Sandy was very friendly (we golfed on a Friday, so nice that they had someone out) and a few golfers we interacted with were friendly. We finished with eating at The Nest. Food was good, however we were disappointed with the wait staff switching and our new bartender getting our bartenders tip. She only gave us a box and the bill. Sitting at the bar was quite hot, but we managed. Overall, I’d come back to this course again and look forward to the challenge! My best recommendation is come with EXTRA balls!!

I got the early season rate of $35. This was reasonable, if only the weather would have cooperated. The layout is all over the place and signage is somewhat confusing at times. Overall I had a good round!

Beautiful course - challenging if you’re a bit wild off the tee or approach shots. Also am a member at Bellaire Centennial which is a wonderful course as well and easier to play

Great changes to pro shop and facilities. This is one of the best target courses in Northern Michigan. You need to look at every hole before you play it. Sometimes targets are bail outs rather than "going for it".

Loved the course. It is very challenging with many blind shots. Greens were in excellent shape, with several having large undulations. Wish there was a better clubhouse, but there was nothing wrong with the course.

The course is difficult for a 38 handicap golfer but my friends and I decided to scramble to make it more fun. The course is in great shape.

Wildly fun golf course. Maybe a bit too difficult for higher handicaps. Lots 💕 f forced carries and some blind shots. Course was in great shape, but bunkers don't have great sand. Maybe the hilliest course I've ever played, but lots of fun !

This lady booked a stay for me for every weekend in August which it has been booked for a few weeks now and they had the nerve to call and tell me they were “overbooked” so I wasn’t allowed to stay there. Now after calling me 5+ times to CONFIRM my dates and set my reservation you call and say there was a “glitch” in the system and now I can longer stay. I’m a traveling healthcare worker who works in the area and was counting on this stay now with such short notice I have to struggle to find another place to stay. The lady who runs this place doesn’t know her system well and is always lost when it comes to her bookings. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This is the place you’re looking for if you wanna find an inexpensive room to see torch lake in the summer without so many others trying to book up first! Very spacious, old fashioned, homey and quiet

4 stars is for the staff (who were really 5's and MADE the ultimately positive experience.) Suzie was lovely, as well as Paula, the housekeeper, even some of the regular guests were very friendly and welcoming. Outside of the motel is very sweet with well tended flower boxes and a couple of cozy spots to relax. Inside (room 16 anyway) had a lot of room for improvement. We arrived after 11:00 p.m. after 3 days of driving. The room was so dirty (floors, stained comforter, bathroom corners and metal grate, toilet roll insert on the floor) with "cheap motel" lighting that in spite of our fatigue we seriously considered leaving to hunt for another place to stay. I'm glad we decided not to because ultimately it was a positive experience and the motor inn style of the property was perfect for the family errand we were there for. But I was literally glad I had packed my own sheets just in case I encountered a motel bed I wasn't comfortable sleeping in. I slept crunched up so it's not to touch anything that was not mine in the room. Second day I was able to ask Paula to clean the floor in our room and it was noticeably better than when we arrived so I'm not sure why it was so bad initially. But still this hotel should invest in: 1.) a deep clean of all the rooms (not just the daily clean by housekeeping), including bleaching and trimming shower curtains, or replacing and serious laundering of blankets, 2.) some more attractive light bulbs, and 3.) considering building a platform for under the bed so it doesn't collect dirt. Also, 4.) a good, versatile vacuum that can serve hard floors to help housekeeping out (Dyson knock-offs you can find for $150.) Shower pressure was good but hot water ran out quickly (at any time of day.) We appreciated that the motel was fairly quiet as well as the fan in the bathroom, the two sinks and kitchen conveniences, and being able to park right in front of the room. Motel was not inexpensive but was at least $50 less than anywhere else in the area the season we were there.

What a DEAL for 4th of July weekend! The room isn’t 5🌟 but adequate, clean and has everything g you need! Susie is a DELIGHT and very accommodating to our every need! We already booked our next stay!!!

Clean, comfortable, safe establishment and room. If you prefer flashy and trendy you can pay triple the price nearby. The room was clean, roomy, and had refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. Nothing More required for me. I travel very frequently for business and this place met all the needs. Then, include the price, it's awesome. Need a place for a golf or ski stay? This is definitely a great way to go. You even park right in front of your door.

Stayed here while visiting family nearby. The owner/manager, Susie, is super sweet and accommodating. The rooms aren’t fancy, but they are homey and clean; ours had a mini fridge and microwave. Right on the main road but traffic noise was not an issue.

I highly recommend chain o lakes auto body! After a tree landed on my daughters car, we had it towed to chain o lakes for repairs. They were very friendly, kind, informative, kept me up to date on the progress of her car, very affordable and all around wonderful to speak to. They did an outstanding job on the repairs and actually had her car ready before the insurance check even came! I can't thank them enough for all they did for her car! If I ever need any future collision repairs, I know exactly where to go! I will only be recommending chain o lakes auto body to anyone looking for collision repairs!

First time I have used this company... and the results were great. Hit a deer with considerable cosmetic damage including replacement of a rear door and all the work was perfect. Have not had any reason to complain or find any problems. It did take a LONG time to get the parts and to fit my car into their busy schedule, but my damage was mostly cosmetic and the car was driveable and if they're that busy, maybe they are known for doing good work. They were friendly and kept me posted. I feel if I did have any concerns, they would make every attempt to solve the problem. Highly recommended.

Best body shop in Bellaire! We were on vacation in the area and got rear ended in Traverse City, we were lucky we were able to drive away with all the other cars involved. Our bumper was questionable and needed someone to look at it before we traveled home. The guys here were so nice, took a look at the bumper popped one part back in place and sent us on our way. We couldn’t be more thankful for them and if we ever need anything in the future when we visit we will definitely call them!

They handled everything. I barley had to deal with my insurance compny. The repairs where VERY detailed and of excellent quality. They had a loaner vehicle available for me to use while the repairs where being made which was quite convenient. These nice folks seemed very dedicated to my satisfaction. Next time I smash a deer or do something stupid to my vehicle I will call on Chain o' Lakes Autobody.

Classist. An embarrassment to the community. I’m sure the vendors are great, but the market manager failed to set up the EBT payment option, which is free for them to set up. Just hang up a sign that says “No Poor People Allowed”.

Many different stalls with a wide variety of products. No commercial items, everything is locally produced. They have a flea-market going on nextdoor.

Over 30 vendors in the market. It is open every friday from 8-noon from late spring thru the fall. In addition to the farmer's market, ther are 3 buildings that are full of furniture, appliances, dishware, glassware and other household items. Vendors here sell everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, craft items to children books authored by a local lady. Local tradition so come early as it gets crowded very fast.

Nice smaller market. Under a canopy makes shopping pleasant even if the weather isn't.

Just got into town and was looking for a decent pizza place. We checked this place out and were impressed. Service was a little slow for not being too busy but the food was pretty good. Decent prices, family friendly. The BBQ chicken pizza was very good (we get ours well done).

We just got off the fishing boat and tried to pull up the Detroit Tigers game on the AirBNB TV but could not, restricted area or some BS so we chose a bar nearby. We got lucky, Detroit Tigers on 10 screens plus good food and great service. I had the tuna which was exceptional. We will be back!

We had the shrimp white pizza. Super tasty, fresh and hot. Service was not great. Took about 15 mins before our drink order were taken. After that things went better.

Been several times in this passing summer. Had very good cod. The fish selection was appealing. Haven't had the pizza yet. But it too look inviting. Today had pull smoke brisket . Excellent.

Usually I enjoy the food here, but this time the Margarita Pizza was disappointing. There was barely any cheese on it (just a few little squares of sliced mozzarella), some basil leaves, and a some tomato sauce. No fresh tomatoes or good mozzarella. Otherwise a good selection of various types of beer, lots of menu items and room for a large group. They've always been accommodating for big numbers.

We ordered takeout here being out of towners. The bartender who helped us was super sweet when we came to pick up the order. The food was a bit disappointing but not the worst. Unfortunately not many places were open in the small town and it wasn’t necessarily our first choice. The cost of the food was not worth it to me. Basic basic bar food cooking in my opinion.

Not impressed! Sat outside and bartender was more than happy to tell us that she had worked 2 doubles. Ordered a burger and it took at least 40 min and bartender couldn’t be bothered to serve us more than 1 beer.

Placed an online order for two subs. They put the toppings for sub 1 on sub 2 and vice versa. If you want Subway just go to Mancelona.

Really need to update their hours online. Very frustrating when you check online and it says they're open but you get to the restaurant and they're not. I get having staffing issues, but at least do your due diligence and notify the public properly.

employs had to be reminded to wash their hands before touching food and would not wear masks properly while preparing food. the cleanliness of the employees and restaurant did not appear to be up to standard. overall they were very short tempered and made comments about guest’s appearance and implied that the guest was stupid. employees were not knowledgeable about their menu and seemed to be annoyed when expected to do their job.

Don’t eat here!! I placed an order on the app. When I got there my food was on a rack right in the middle of the line of all the people waiting to order. I had to wade through this line to get my order. Once I got it the bag was not sealed and had been opened. I refused to eat the sandwich as it could of been touched. I ask for a refund and was told no! I would starve before eating here again.

Went in with my daughter and niece. The server was nice and made our sandwiches just like we asked. You were out of salad bowls so he took most of the extra bread off. He was by himself and handled everyone's order easily. He did a great job

Came in a week ago ordered a foot long,got charged for 2 6 inch.,the lady behind the counter was very rude. Also came in today and ordered another foot long with tuna! Got hardly any tuna on it because she was to lazy to go get more tuna! Won't be back! Very slow and lazy!!

Stephanie was absolutely wonderful today when we were in there! She even took time while they were slammed to search for the exact toys my kids wanted! Well it's very clean and the few employees that are there are very friendly an welcoming, and the food is hot an fresh. The only problem which isn't the employees fault its Corporates is that they need to hire more help.

Focused only on drive through orders. Waited with about 3 other customers in line for 8 or 10 mins woth no service while workers walked by us as if we weren't there. They said they were short staffed..I counted 7 workers..not sure how many were supposed to be there but they could not manage the restaurant at all. Managers said they were slammed but that's no excuse to ignore customers inside waiting to order

The lady was very pushy about us sitting at the counter, and we had to push back about sitting at a table. She was like, fine, sit over there!!! Menu is small and simple, but you pay extra for everything. The cheese was forgotten on my wife's omelet.. I have a skillet, the egg was runny and not cooked through. The cheese was thick and overpowering. The best part of the meal was the drink and English muffin

They absolutely did not want our business from the moment we walked in. They made it seem like a huge chore to get a table for 5. Once we were seated, the table next to us got coffee refills and a bill before we got waters or a menu. After sitting almost 30 minutes with no service, we walked out. Also, both ladies were pretty rude and not at all what I’d expect from a small town diner. Trust me, take your business somewhere else.

Good food and good service. Didn’t experience the unfriendly waitress others posted about. My waitress (Joann) was older, but she was very friendly and attentive. I had The Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich. It came without bacon, as I requested, and it was good. It would’ve been even better if the hash browns were cooked more. I’d come here again if I’m in the area.

I’m genuinely disappointed with our experience here, mainly due to how rude and backhanded our waitress was. From the start, her tone felt condescending — almost like we were inconveniencing her by simply being there. When we asked a couple of basic questions about the menu, she rolled her eyes and gave curt, dismissive answers. Instead of creating a warm, inviting atmosphere, she seemed annoyed and impatient, which soured the entire dining experience. It’s unfortunate because the food itself was good, but service plays a huge role, and we left feeling more stressed than satisfied. I hope the management addresses this, as no guest should leave a restaurant feeling insulted or belittled.

I cannot share to the quality of the food because the staff and cooks refused to work with my dairy allergy, so I had a side of bacon for breakfast. My friends who joined me did get their breakfasts but one did not get the additions she had asked for and was given onion in her scramble despite asking for no onion. Cannot recommend. Avoid of you have any kind of food differences like dairy-free, gluten-free, or vegan. When I asked if I get my eggs and hashbrowns not made with butter and milk, the waitress blanched and asked if I wanted her to lose her head. Confused, I asked, don't you have oil you can use? She said she would ask the cook. She came back out and said they couldn't do it so I ordered the bacon and she somehow seemed confused as to why I was just ordering bacon. At that point I spelled it out for her and told her I have a dairy allergy. She looked at me blankly and looked at my friend sitting next to me, ready to take the next order. Didn't suggest anything or try to help in any way. I have lived this way for a while now, and even been abroad. Never has this been such as issue, ESPECIALLY when it comes to breakfast food. They were rudely turning people away at the door also. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. For a tourist town, you think these people would care a bit more about being empathetic to those different than them who choose to spend their time and money in their town. Will never go back. Avoid if you need to avoid any types of food.

I'm not convinced they even serve food. We watched others get service for a half hour after being seated and never even got menus before deciding to leave. Unless you know the server personally, I recommend trying the place down the road.

We stopped by to grab a coffee on our way out of town and decided to grab a muffin as well. 10/10 would recommend their baked goods (I'm assuming they are all as amazing as the muffin and based on how busy it was when we went through, I say so with lots of confidence). Charming coffee shop and bakery in Bellaire MI. Perfect up north charming local shop. Menu is huge and bakery case is refilled throughout the morning on a summer weekend. Friendly staff and warm environment to sit and eat, talk, work, enjoy the charm of up north Michigan.

Ruthann’s did the cake and cupcakes for my wedding on September 20th, 2025. We picked Ruthann’s after trying their cupcakes which were some of the best cupcakes I have ever had! They were a huge hit at our wedding with the venue staff saying they have had a lot of cupcakes but none as good as the ones we had that evening! We will 100% be back and highly recommend them for any sweet treats!

An absolute must when visiting downtown Bellare for fresh pastries & bread, as well as crafted specialty espresso. The atmosphere is warm & cozy with a touch of elegance. The moment you waltz through the door, the bakery smells of fresh baked goods & spices. I love the couches by the fireplace with a giant puzzle. The best part was the Danish I ordered. The pastry was light & crispy on the outside with a rich & buttery blueberry jam & icing. The staff was also very welcoming & patient.

A vibrant and relaxing spot to enjoy coffee. It was a Sunday morning and it was busy, which is a great testament to this business. A must visit!

Ruthann just catered the cakes for my daughter's wedding. The wedding cake was adorable and the cupcakes were to die for! The cake was super moist but not squishy or undercooked like you generally expect when it's "too or suspiciously moist". Then there is the buttercream 😍. As a frosting connoisseur, I can say that I have only had one other buttercream that came close to theirs and I've tried a LOT! It's light as air but still buttery and the perfect sweetness. If you like cake and/or frosting make this a stop! You won't be disappointed!

If you live in/are traveling to the area you MUST visit this bakery!! The bagels were some of the fluffiest I’ve ever had, coffee was amazing! We got lots of food and baked goods and enjoyed their adorable outdoor area. Sarah at the register was so kind and inviting and gave us free danish samples immediately when we walked in. They were so good I had to get a whole one. A must try!

We were unfortunately very disappointed with the candy-themed room. We’ve done all the other rooms at their previous location, and enjoyed them, but this one was not a good value for the money. We paid $20/person for the room, which is scheduled to last 45 minutes, but we finished in 16/17. The puzzles that are there were fun, but the room needs more content to be advertised as a 45-minute room.

We did the Gatsby room and had a very pleasant experience. It wasn't real hard and was our first time in an escape room. Overall it was enjoyable

A must-visit spot in Bellaire, MI. Extremely family friendly-they have multiple different levels available making it perfect for families or adult groups. The staff is extremely welcoming. They are also located in Fireside Lounge so you can get food/drinks before or after. Highly recommend!

Do not pay in advance, the management is unwilling to refund any money paid in advance if needing to cancel or reschedule. When talking to the management about the situation they have a bad attitude about the situation and are completely unwilling refund any money paid in advance.

Paid in advance as a courtesy, and when our party was unable to make it they did not offer any future credit or refund whatsoever. Unfortunately professionalism was not exemplified in my experience with Escape Bellaire. If you choose to go here make sure to book ahead and don't pay until services are provided.

Stopped by on a whim with our 3 small kids. The museum is free (donations accepted). It’s VERY cute and meticulously maintained. The history of the area is fascinating and my kids loved seeing everything. Highly recommend.

Visiting from out of state, this park was the perfect slow pace for our kids ages 2 - 10. The wooden train is so cute and I love the small town vibes. Saw a deer near the water from the bridge. Beautiful!!

I grew up here so I hate to give it 3 stars but holy sweet baby Jesus nothing has been updated in 20 years. For as rich as this county/town is you'd think they'd spend a few bucks for the kids. Just my opinion. Still a great park...could use some TLC 🙏

This whole place needs some tlc. The park is terrible and borderline dangerous for kids. The grounds are never very well kept either. For a nice little town like bellaire, you'd think the park would be in better shape.

Came across this park finishing up my 20 mile CHAIN OF LAKES challenge! A big park that offered plenty to do right in the town. Loved the new kayak launch as well!

Great park! Beach, public restrooms, swings, playground and fenced off from the road. Only a minute walk to downtown! Basketball courts and tennis courts as well!

Very still shallow water. 2 white Swans live there. Sw a Goose and small ducks as well. Very good canoe and kayak dock that let's you get in and out without getting wet!

LOVED everything about this historic B&B!! The location (within a walk of a welcoming town), the building (a step back into 1895), our room (the Balcony Room, which we entered using the original key!), the ability to hang out in the sitting room, the drawing room, and the dining room - enjoying food, drink, and a game or two. Just exceptional!! Jake, the owner, really sets the stage for a comfortable stay. Be sure to enjoy Java with Jake to hear the history of the Grand Victorian. Jake prepares a nice breakfast and tasty pressed coffee 👍👍 Be sure to book a stay and relax for a bit 😊

Very nice B&B. The breakfasts were delicious the beds were comfortable and the extra water and snacks were a very nice touch. The house was amazing and the staff was awesome. The only negative was the wifi lacked pretty bad and the shower head in the carriage house room was in the rain head position but just didn't hit you very well. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the GV B&B. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. It was walking distance to downtown, where there were some very tasty restaurants. Jake was an awesome host and made the best breakfasts ever great food and conversation. We stayed 2 nights and it is so close to Charlevoix and Elk Rapids. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Grand Victorian and enjoy the homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Our hosts are so very gracious and personable, so very friendly. Their knowledge of this beautiful home is extensive, and they tell the story in the formal dining room complete with pictures of the original residents on the wall. The breakfasts are exquisitely prepared and presented; you would have no trouble seeing the same at a 5 star restaurant. The rooms and bedrooms are all maintained beautifully! We were fortunate to have been given the Balcony Bedroom for our stay, named for the small private balcony attached to it; we took full advantage of this, enjoying the quiet atmosphere in the mornings before breakfast and the evenings after our wanderings. We absolutely plan on returning to visit this beautiful home and great couple again!

This was a perfect stay, 7/18-7/20/25. Leann was an amazing innkeeper/host and gave us many great historical facts about this beautiful home/property. Breakfasts were delicious, filling, and the French press coffee was just what was needed to start our days off. She answered our questions about worship on Saturday/Sunday as well, and was very passionate about what she does. The room was quiet and romantic. The bed and shower provided great comfort in the Richardi Room which was in the Carriage House. I was able to enjoy the rocker chairs on the covered porch during the time it rained and that was very pleasing. Even the Keurig machine that was just outside the door to our room put out piping hot coffee - Amazing! We highly recommend staying here when you are in Antrim County!

Beautiful home! The breakfasts were chef quality, even accommodating my dietary restrictions. Very nicely kept Victorian home.

Rooms are Amazing, atmosphere, incredible and so much better than a hotel. You get such a warm and welcoming feeling as soon as you walk in the door.

We did the bourbon blending experience and hung out for a while after. It was great, but my only suggestion is more "education" for the blending experience. There were booklets where we were to take notes and select options of how each tasted or hit us, but we didnt know what some of the options meant. Otherwise, it was great! The staff were all friendly and the drinks were delish.

The atmosphere here is great. I tried the “Hey Dude” and a flight of whiskey. Both were made and presented well. I bought a bottle of Vodka to add to my bar. Good place to try.

Such a great atmosphere. The drinks are always consistent and delicious. The Hemingway and Old Fashioned are my top two however I don’t think you can get anything bad here. The bar tenders are always polite.

Very friendly atmosphere, bartender Conner was friendly and fast. They also have a non alcoholic section on the menu. I got the berries and cream it was super delicious and very refreshing.

Tasting-room located on the main street of downtown Bellaire. They had a fantastic assortment of Mammoth spirits for sale as well as house cocktails. Particularly enjoyed the Cherry Bounce and the Woolly Bourbon. Ultimately a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and absolutely worth a visit.

What a fun night out we had here! Holly was bartending, and it was a quiet night, but we completely enjoyed our first time sitting at a bar since pre-covid. Highly recommend the gin and tonic and the barrel-aged old fashioned. Mammoth Gin is more floral than pine flavored and the Northwood tonic perfectly compliments it. The barrel-aged old fashioned is just bursting with bold flavors.

I really liked this store. Lots of toys and different gifts. I bought a puzzle, it's hard to decide which one to get.

Delightful store our kids enjoy visiting every year. The owner is wonderful and always spends time to show us the new games. This year, we lost track of time and stayed way past closing. She continued to demo new toys and never pressured us to wrap up. Highly recommend bringing your kids!

A visit to Little Treasures is a MUST when visiting Bellaire. The staff is wonderful and friendly, there is a great selection of toys and games, and I absolutely love that I can try many of the toys and games before I buy them.

Great toy store for many ages. My son loves the book he just got and a little airplane.

Nice little park/ campground located between baseball/softball fields and a nice little lake. Reasonable rates. Lake is more for Kayak/ fishing but swimming areas are about a five minute drive away. Good location for sightseeing, a few miles from Lake Michigan.

Booked a site for a 42 ft camper, site said it was large enough. Upon calling to question, the staff said it was 50 amp and a pull thru. Arrived at 9 pm, the site is full of trees and the fifth wheel will not fit. We get moved to another site, camper is hanging into the road even though we are backed all the way to the fence. 30 amp service is broken so we are plugged into the site next door. We can't leave fast enough. What a rinky dink set up. Do not recommend.

It's small. 30 sites? It does have sites with full hookups. Most are shaded. Clean restrooms. 25 cents for each two minutes to use the shower. I haven't heard that much bird song in years. There is an osprey nest with 2 adults and chick's. Plenty of geese and Sandhill Cranes roost in the pond every evening. 5 minutes from downtown Bellaire. If your not familiar with Bellaire, there are several nice restaurants and brewery. Glacial Hills is 2.5 miles away. Hiking and mountain biking. 30 miles of single track.

Camper in the park were rude would not move water lines so we could hook up so we left went somewhere else never had this problem in the spring when I go trout fishing when nobody else is there no way to get ahold of anybody on the weekend to fix the problem. One person won't let them hook up there water hose to another spot because of the hose would run through the corner of their campsite. That person had their holes hooked up to the spot for my campsite.

Whenever I travel north for work I will hit this pond with my ultralight and rarely do I get skunked. Spinner flies work the best.

This place totally missed the mark today. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and a lunch sandwich and they were cold and very poorly prepared. Lacked flavor and attention to prep, won’t order food here again, especially for the price of $22!

Such a cute coffee shop! The coffee was good but could have been better as a coffee lover. The atmosphere was so cozy and charming which I loved. They had a small section of local art and gifts for sale. If I was a local I’d want to hangout there all day!

Great spot! It's a lively community place with good coffee and pastries. It's always good to see different groups of people gathering to share, discuss, or meet.

M-88 Morning Grind is a must have coffee place while in Bellaire or nearby. Veteran owned and veteran friendly. Coffee and pastries are delicious. A very cozy atmosphere.

An amazing coffee shop! The decor is charming and inviting. All your favorite coffee drinks, and a variety of pastries and even have a few breakfast sandwiches. Everything was delicious! We picked up a bag of whole bean fresh roasted coffee. Be sure to stop in when driving by!

Hot chocolate I received was fine, was only 3/4 the way full in the cup and wasn’t super hot. The other customers were really snarky and made rude comments about where the line was even though it’s not clearly marked where the line would go. How was I supposed to know it snakes off to the side and isnt straight behind the register???

A Hidden Gem on Torch Lake! Beautiful views, a fun and natural golf range, and even corn hole made this a perfect afternoon stop for our family. We really enjoyed the food and wine — and the staff were lovely. There’s plenty of outdoor seating to soak up the atmosphere (not as much if any inside), but it’s the kind of place where you want to be outside anyway. Great spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy the vibe of Northern Michigan!

We've been going here for years. It's got the most wonderful, heavenly views, fun atmosphere & we love the ciders the most. I love how they've added on with a playground & a covered venue on the back. This friendly gorgeous place is a gem! Come & see for yourself. You'll be glad you did.

Congratulations Lindsay and Nolan on your engagement! What a perfect place to make a special memory. On the back of the property they have a GIANT heart wrapped with grape vines. Could not ask for a more romantic place. We witnessed the love between two beautiful souls and then went to the tasting room to celebrate with wine and some golf. Yes you heard me! They had a bucket/barrel and if you could make hole in one you would get a bottle of wine on the house. Now this bucket is a far ways away and the chance of making this shot is slim but not impossible. We did not make the shot on this trip but It definitely was fun watching everyone try! They had tables set out for everyone to enjoy the overlook and views while enjoying their wine. It was suggested to mix and match to create a beverage so I took and chance and was pleasantly surprised with the taste of Apple of my Elia and just peachy 50/50. We purchase a small batch of cherry bourbon for home as well as took part in an event the facility was holding on this particular day with Lakuna Links and permanent jewelry. What an excellent day all around. Torch Lake Cellars will definitely be a place in my book to stop again. Their slogan says it all. It's a grape Life!!!

Gorgeous spot with great wine! We had wonderful service from the moment we arrived. The view was beautiful, and my dad thoroughly enjoyed the golf green. There is also a pavilion and playground for people to enjoy. We will absolutely be back!

Quiet, secluded ski trail. Backs up to a number of horse ranches so watch for piles. Frequent downed trees across trail.

Nice to start out with, we brought the dogs with us. We were able to let them off their leashes. Not many people around. but stay off the long path its over grown and very muddy. We got stuck and had to turn around.

We absolutely loved this place!! Highly recommend! Plenty of parking, multiple scenic trails and boardwalks through such an enchanting forest. We'll always make a point to visit every time we're in Bellaire, MI.

We love this place! We visit Michigan from Kentucky once every year and we have made it a tradition to visit GRNA for the past two years. The paths are well taken care of and if you want to spend some quiet time listening to the babbling creeks, it’s easy to do so with the abundant benches located throughout. The visitor center is clean, has bathrooms, and a water fountain. There is plenty of cool merchandise to buy as well. We have multiple shirts now! Definitely recommend going with friends and family. It’s a serene experience!

Wonderful place to visit while in the area. Board walk to the river is a very nice walk. Very nice visitor center to learn about the local habitat. We thoroughly enjoyed this nature area.

Sept. 2023. Scouting out this area for future pix. James the Naturalist gave me a printout of the Wildflower Bloom times in the area. From that I plan to come back in May and June and possibly July for the Wild Orchids and others. This is a good Bog. Wear good boots if you have them as the boardwalks can be very slippery. Part 2. May 13, 2024. I was a bit early for the Showy Lady Slippers and Trailing Arbutus but found some nice Fringed Polygala and American Goldthread as well as some White Trillium and fairly frequent Jack in the Pulpit. Sean and James give tours to school kid also so that the kids might discover Nature rather than video games.

What a gem of a place. Absolutely fantastic. I went out on a snowy afternoon in late autumn and had the whole place to myself. Trails are fantastic, well-kept, and easy-going. Really enjoyed hiking and taking photos here and I'm certainly returning soon!

This is a really nice place to hike. The trails are well maintained, including boardwalk in the wetter areas, and the staff at the visitor center are helpful and friendly.

We ordered pizzas by phone.... they were ready quickly and made perfectly! We ordered a bbq pizza, a Hawaiian pizza, and a "simple" pepperoni and mushroom. The flavors of everything were perfect! So delicious! The flavored crust was great, too! If you're in the Bellaire area, give them a try!

The chicken cherry pizza is phenomenal. We had it 5 years ago and have held every pizza since to that standard so we were THRILLED when we ended up back in the area and could get another one. Pepperoni Meatball and the supreme (papa k special) were both delicious too

Pizza was good, cheese bread was inedible due to the amount of salt on the crust and topping.

Great pizza!! We came in from Ohio and had their Cherry chicken pizza (they were out of the blue cheese so we got Feta) it was Amazing!!! Their 4 cheese bread was the bomb as well!!+ we won't be up again soon enough to have more!!

Ordered Greek and chicken Cesar salads to go which were very fresh and yummy. Pizza was just ok and kind of undercooked. Did not care for crust kind of heavy.

We ordered 5 pizzas for pick up and it was super fast! They were excellent! Hot and delicious! Great crust and even better sauce!

Mostly came for the view and was told the patio was closed. Chips and cheese was not good at all. Grocery store canned cheese would be better. Shrimp were ok. The staff was very nice. Wouldn't reccomend this place for the food and make sure the patio is open before you go.

A Must-Stop on Torch Lake! Dockside is a staple every time we visit Torch Lake. The food’s consistently good, the views are fantastic, and the staff never disappoints! Even when a surprise rainstorm rolls in, there’s plenty of indoor seating and fun games for both the kids and the grown-up kids. Always a great vibe and a solid choice for lakeside dining.

A very busy establishment, needs a makeover outdated for the times. While the seating inside is adequate, it's just some Auditorium chairs. Outside has a better vibe especially with Lakeview. Food is hot and fresh but not very tasty. Might be that they use some sort of wheat or rye which you have to become accustomed to which makes the food tastes a little more stiff.

Location, location, location! This place is great, being able to pull up in a boat, and rie off was so much fun. We really enjoyed the views and food. I had bbq pulled pork on a pretzel bun, it was fantastic.

Their food is hit or miss. Husband and I got carry out here so I can’t speak much on the service or atmosphere, but we ordered a pulled pork super burrito with no tomatoes and added sweet potato fries and torch tacos with the firecracker shrimp. Even though we ordered no tomatoes the special sauce they mention comes with it actually comes on it and it is a tomato base. With the sauce all over it not only did my husband not like it since he doesn’t like tomatoes but he couldn’t pick it up, the tortilla was totally soggy, and honestly the inside was still very bland. He was miserable, so that was a miss and should have been labeled an enchilada. The sweet potato fries were good, but the quantity to price ratio was awful, he got almost no fries and it was expensive. So that’s a half miss. My tacos were amazing, absolutely zero complaints on them, definitely a hit. The fusion slaw combined with the cojita cheese is sublime, and the firecracker shrimp was cooked to perfection. However my meal came with chips and salsa, although the salsa was pretty good the chips were like they came out of a day of old bag from the dollar store. Bad quality and stale, miss on the tortilla chips. Overall I am unsure if we would return even though the tacos were exquisite.

Amazing food, perhaps a little stingy on the servings but that’s to be expected from any restaurant in the great 2025 — or maybe I was just hungry for more! Service was fast, frequent and friendly. Lots of good options and everything on the menu was delicious. Atmosphere is the ideal lake vibes you’ll be looking for. Would, and will, go again!

Cool spot by the water. Friendly employees Food was good too! Got the fish tacos and fries and pretzel bites.
