The mighty Misspu is my favorite boating experience. My family has been on this river many times over the decades. It is dangerous if you're an inexperienced. It's imperative to know the boating rules plus rules of the river. Don't get on the water if you don't know the risks. There are 7 bridges between Bellevue and blair...and two clubs you can eat and drink at. You can hear the music from stir concert cove if you're lucky enough to be recreating during a concert. Water is life so treat this river with respect.

A true Montana gem, teaming with historical value and recreation opportunities. The Missouri River originates on the eastern front of the Rocky Mountains at Three Forks, Montana as the Jefferson, Madison and Gallatin Rivers converged. The river is cold and clean when it leaves Three Forks. As the river meaders through Montana it takes on numerous other creeks and rivers to become muddy or silty before it reaches North Dakota. Depending where you are at on the river, one can catch sturgeon, paddle fish, trout, channel catfish, sauger and numerous other species.

Great trip to see and go. You need to see the start of the Missouri River. Follow it from beginning to end.

Glasgow is where we typically put in and its a nice area. Camping is available at Stump Island, there are plenty of areas to fish or pull up to a sandbar to relax, as long as the river is down.

Seeing the Mighty Mo for the first time at Chamberlain as you travel West on I-90 is a beautiful site. You come over the hill, and there she is. Lots of fishing and boating with many docks and inlets for boats and jet skis. Many nice beaches as well. It’s a great place to spend a hot summer day.

Went for the Oahe days festival. Very enjoyable

The park is clean, quiet, and is one of my favorite local areas for photography and painting. During the winter when the river freezes over you get nice blues with a good sunset scene. During the spring and summer, there's always been a vibrancy of greens. Insect control is good as there are often no noxious insects when you're doing sports or going for a walk. A good location for many public activities.

Great place to stop and enjoy a family picnic while driving through. Lots of space for the kids to blow of steam.

Fantastic park on the Missouri river with very large cotton wood shade trees. Nice kids park and a challenging disk golf course. Picnic seating scattered across park and some covered eating areas as well.

Our kids love it. Wish they had playground equipment but still lovely.

We played disc golf here while on vacation. The park is large, well maintained and shady. There is plenty of free parking, walking trails, bathrooms and water access. There is an entertaining 18 hole disc golf course featuring cement tee pads and hole markers. The course is laid out on fairly open mowed grass. The obstacles are mainly mature trees, wind and the adjacent river. The water hazards are easy to avoid. The course follows the perimeter of this rectangular park in a clockwise fashion. Hole #1 is upriver from the beach parking lot. There is no map.

This is a stunning state capitol. It is very well designed, and I loved the central stairs with the stained glass.

Attended Christmas at the Capital 2023 and it was an amazing experience! Beautiful collection of Christmas trees, all donated by various businesses/families within South Dakota. The event is free and took about an hour to see all the trees. The amount of decorations on each tree was so impressive. They even have a sign-in book and it's nice to see where others drove from to view this event. Thank you to the SD Capital for hosting this event!

Beautiful Capitol building, the marble and murals were amazing. The people were friendly and would answer any questions. We were there on a Friday afternoon so it wasn't busy. The drive was amazing with the sun flowers blooming, just miles and miles of sunflowers.

Very beautiful! There's a nice guidebook to walk you through with some cool trivia in it, like the heart shaped tiles! Also a fun children's activity book. We had a lot of fun exploring this gorgeous building. We have visited a lot of state capitols and this was one of our favorites!

My experience here was quite good. My mate and I rolled up in our car and parked just a block away with no issues, and unlike many of the other state capitol buildings I have visited, this had no security checks, at least coming through the door we did. All of the rooms were pretty accessible, including the State Affairs room where I testified. The setting was very nice on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River, and the ponds around it looked very cool. I might not visit again to testify, but I am glad I did the one time. It’s close in resemblance to the Montana State capitol because the same design was used, interestingly enough. If you’re passing through, it’s worth even a quick visit.

This is an amazingly beautiful example is an old capital building. I was fascinated by the casual, relaxed atmosphere and the accessibility of the political representatives. There are wonderful murals in various areas, and a quaint gift shop in the lower level that's worth a visit. Well done South Dakota!

So happy to vist the capitol building inside and out on the grounds. Walked all the levels from the basement to the top floor house and senate chambers, enjoying the marble stairs and pillars. Looking at photo's on the wall of court Justice ⚖ along with the dresses worn by the first Lady of the governor at the time and current husband to Governor Christy Noem. Worth the time to see and visit South Dakota big Home.

My kids have always love to stop in here! Super fun areas for kids that love to play pretend and interesting exhibits about the carbon cycle for growing scientists!

This place is great! My daughter and I spent 3 hours here and neither of us got bored. Most of the exhibits change over time, so it was different from what it was 2 years ago. The flower shop/restaurant/veterinary clinic was a big hit with all the kids.

This is such a fun place to discover all kinds of science principles. Children up to age 12 will have a ball! Adults can learn things too!

We love the Discovery Center! It's a wonderful place for the kids to run around and burn energy, but also filled with educational activities. Keep your eyes open for awesome programming that the staff put on. The hours a little bit shortened in the winter, so if you're unable to make it now, rest assured summer hours are coming!

Nice little place to take your children :-) the bathrooms are nice everything is well taken care of and the lady at the front desk was really sweet... Might want to look into the age group on which to take their as my ten-year-old loved it but my 16 year olds thought it was not so interesting.

Great spot for a quick break with the kids. Good activities for all ages. My 14 year old had as much fun as my 5 year old.

Had dinner while out of town for work ordered the BLACK AND BLUE STEAK TIPS for an appetizer good flavor the smaller bits were a bit overdone and tough sauce was flavorful and the fries when done just right. For the main course I got the SPICY CHICKEN & SHRIMP ROMANO this was delicious pasta was done perfect lots of chicken and shrimp would highly recommend.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and our server, Erin, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She was knowledgeable about their dishes and offered great recommendations. Highly recommend the grilled walleye and the fish tacos on the summer menu.

Don’t order the margarita pizza unless you like soggy pizza crust. It comes in a bowl type plate so any moisture runs to the middle & soaks into the crust. This is an easy fix if the kitchen cares! I asked them to remake without the tomatoes but it didn’t make a difference. The upside was Anastyn our waitress was delightful!

In Pierre for the day ( 7/23/2025) and decided to stop for lunch. Eryn was our server and she was phenomenal! It's rare that people in the service industry interact with our kiddos, but she treated them like they were her favorite customers! Food was hot and fresh ! Would definitely go back if we are in the area again! Thank you Eryn for taking such good care of us!

Its was a great Italian restaurant in Pierre SD. The food was well worth the price. The seafood pasta was very good.

Our waitress was exceptional. Food was good. This is an updated posting. Once again, the wait staff were excellent. We went to try their new seasonal menu. I ordered the pork chop, which was, unfortunately, raw, yes raw and pink as it gets. The waitress apologized and sent it back (not her fault). It took the kitchen close to a half hour to get it re-cooked for me. Meanwhile my entire party was done eating and had ordered dessert. I got mind to go. We received no comp, discount, or free dessert. My recooked pork chop was now overcooked and chewy (see attached picture). I would still recommend Red Rossa, but don't expect any courtesy if there is a mess up and avoid pork or fish, which, if raw can make you ill. Bummer from one of my favorite places in town.

Nice cozy atmosphere for a small town restaurant! However, both husband and I noticed an off smell to our food when it arrived and hoped we wouldn’t get food poisoning! We both ended up with bad stomachaches later that evening and though-out the night. We had ordered a burger and a spaghetti with Italian sausage. Ugh so sad!

This was my second visit to this store: It's just a drive-thru. Nothing special. Nowhere to sit outside. The young help provided very average, typical teen-aged service. I think there were 3 kids working: had to wait until they finished their conversation before I was acknowledged, one was obviously not in a good mood, thankfully the one at the register was pleasant. I ordered a plain iced coffee with cream. The coffee was weak, and I would swear that it wasn't cream but maybe 2%milk put into it. And hardly any of that. I asked for more cream which didn't help. I should have returned it, but I didn't. I ended up throwing half of it out. It was insipid. The day prior, I had gotten a plain iced coffee with cream which was weak also, but creamier. I had also gotten a black iced tea which was very good, not weak nor watered down.

Some reason tonight the coffee gave me food poisoning. Does fhe health department work in Pierre or ask to train properly. Making food and cleaning shouldn't be difficult. Food poisoning is the number one cause of leaky gut intestinal issues and also spread of bacteria.

Normally I never have a problem, but today I ordered a pumpkin carmelicious and when she said my order back to me she clearly said pumpkin carmelicious but I received a regular carmelicious. Pretty bummed as the pumpkin is my favorite.

Asked if they offered decaf coffee the lady said no so I said okay nevermind then. I found on scooters website they do indeed offer decaf coffee!!! Ridiculous

Good coffee but very poor customer service. Barista that is apathetic and unable/unwilling to make change. I have filled out the Scooters survey saying the same.

It seems to be an issue of which crew is working but the quality of the drinks has been declining and the wait times are getting too long to make this an option for a quick cup of coffee. 5 cars in front of you can result in a 20 minute wait time. The staff is not rude, your order will be accurate, just avoid if you are on any kind of schedule.

Drive thru coffee shop with products almost similar to a Dunkin Staff was friendly but the process from pulling in to out with a drink is a little slow

Ordered a Southwest Philly sandwich and it was awful. The beef had some sort of weird taste that made it not edible. The other dishes served were good. The waitress was great. The wait time was awful. We waited almost 45 minutes to get our food when I pointed out that I couldn’t eat my meal and that the meat had some sort of weird taste to it almost like a chemical taste. All the waitress said was she would have her kitchen staff taste it. She did apologize. However, there was no offer to bring me something else or to discount the meal or to take the meal off the ticket.. When something is not edible that would be the right thing to do to save your customer. Needless to say, I probably won’t be back.

Excellent experience though the waitress was a little flustered with using paper order form. Their system was down. Food was great and fast despite the place being totally packed. Would stop again!

Not five stars because the chicken strips were terrible - super salty. Yuck. My husband's burger was amazing, and the food was quick so four stars for that! Would give it another shot just certain food is good and certain food would avoid.

This was our first experience eating there. We have heard great things and for our date night we wanted to try something new. We got a great seat outside. Our Server Cari was quick, nice, friendly, and extremely helpful with helping us choose apps and our main course. Her suggestions were on point and did not disappoint at all. We ended up choosing two apps and 3 main dishes as everything looked amazing. The Totchos, Cheese curds for apps and the main courses Chicken Fried Steak, Southwest Cheesesteak, and the Grilled Gound were amazing as well as their aoli sauce were delicious. Trust me, they did not disappoint.. prices were great and portions were more than enough. Great drinks, amazing food, and great service. I highly recommend. Especially for a date night or family night out. Huge shout out to our server Cari, we will definitely go back because of her.

We ordered the wings, an app, and a couple of cokes. The tot chos (tater tots, Queso, jalapenos, and green chili's) were delicious. The bone in wings were good size and tasty. My biggest gripe was the price, 42 dollars for 2 dozen wings. They weren't that good. The night we were there, it must have been going to rain. The flies were bad.

This place is amazing there food is so juicy and good would definitely recommend this restaurant the food here fills you up so fast but you don't wanna stop cause it's so good!.

The earthen architecture alone is awesome, a nice little shop inside, and the museum - primarily Native American items - is $8 for out of state and free for SD residents. Very cool. Even though there were almost no Native American people in this area, there are now nine (9!!) reservations in South Dakota. Some may say our history “sucks” but it is right and good that today we honor the past and hopefully are making better history today. Awehe ~ Take Courage

The museum was a last minute stop, and surprisingly great! Well worth the visit. The displays were beautiful and well put together. The information of the history was intriguing. We loved that the displays were also interactive. Make this a stop on your list!

Probably one of the best cultural exhibits I've ever seen. Totally loaded with items I had never seen in all my travels. The layout of different areas of the building was amazing. The building is enormous in size and loaded with interesting artfacts. This is a must see place to visit.

I had read my whole life about the LaVerendrey Lead plate. I drove an hour out of my way to see this fantastic historical treasure and the museum NEVER informed me that the museum is closed (- the archives). Paul D. Dodson

Nice place , decent price to get in, very educational with all kinds of things to read about. As a local from the area I was impressed with the amount of extensive coverage on various subjects. Take note that the archive room is not open on wnkds

The museum was much larger than I thought it would be. A lot to look at/learn about - loved that there were interactive activities and videos. Definitely a great place to capture some neat pictures, too!

They have so much to show you. I was impressed. Very interesting place to go. So much information and they put a lot of information on women who settled in the west. This is a must see. The people who work there are super nice.

Fun experience! First play I’ve been to here. One of my friends had a lead role and her son was also in it. All the cast members did an excellent job and made no “known” mistakes. It was funny so it kept the packed house entertained. Nice they have a concession stand and comfortable seating.

This is the best place for date night or family fun time. Pierre Players are fantastic. Wonderful actors and actresses. I have been many times and will continue to do so. Just amazing.

Aces & Eights Casino is a fun, local spot with a great variety of games and a friendly atmosphere. The staff is welcoming, and it's a perfect place to unwind with a cold drink. Definitely a solid choice for a casual night out in Pierre!

We drove past this on our way around town and the kids kept talking about going to see all the neat stuff outside. We got back to the museum after it was closed, but outside doesn't disappoint. There are many pieces of machinery and equipment to check out. I am sure the inside is just as cool.

If you are in Pierre SD, this is a small niche museum you must see. It's simple but done with heart that comes from pride in service to the Nation. We've come to really appreciate in our travels how much pride the "locals" put into places like this...so, stop by and support this tribute to Americans who served their nation in combat.

The staff is great and very knowledgable Part is self tour and to see the "good planes" is a guided tour in that hangar. A great place if you are a member of Harvest Hosts! We spent the evening watching planes. You should go!

This is a very good military museum, although it is small, it has all kinds of aircraft, tanks and cannons.

A wonderful, educational walk through military history! Employees are highly knowledgeable!

Nice little museum down by the Missouri River. The building was closed when I visited, but there were enough outdoor exhibits to make it worth a side trip.

Cool statue. It is in multiple cities in Wyoming though, so not unique. The walk to it is amazing though. Not much too see in Pierre, but the surroundings around the Capital are a must see if in the area. Beautiful!!

Nice interesting statue dedicated to past governor George s Mickelson and other government officials that died in a plane crash in Iowa years back. Right next to the state Capitol building and capital lake.

Can't understand the confusing 1 star reviews here (and no comments either). What's the matter with these people? Along with the WWII monument at Capital Lake, the Fighting Stallions sculpture is easily one of the most moving tributes in all of Pierre/Ft. Pierre.

The Fighting Stallions Memorial was dedicated by the people of South Dakota as a lasting memorial to the South Dakotans who perished in an airplane crash on April 19, 1993. The state plane, N86SD, crashed due to propeller assembly failure in poor weather on a farm near Dubuque, Iowa. Those lost to us were as follows: Former Governor George S. We ordered food to go, the woman intentionally put her hair in the lo mein. There was so much hair there is absolutely NO way that was an accident. Regardless it was DISGUSTING. DO NOT EAT HERE

Our family of five tried a few different items and they were all pretty good. We tried the wontons, salt and pepper shrimp, honey chicken, and the spicy sesame chicken. All of them were a little above average on the Chinese quality scale. The staff was very helpful and kind. The price of all of them items were slightly higher than they should be.

Takeout order was hot and in a nice insulated bag. Really good serving amount, general tsos was saucy, lo mein was a heaping scoop. 2 egg rolls & a wonton included in the lunch special. They also added dipping sauce. Very nice lady at the checkout.

The owners were from Fujian, where it’s known for great cooking and cuisine. I'd say this is the tastiest and fairly authentic Chinese American restaurant in town. If you like Chinese food, don't miss this one.

If you want Mongolian Beef, it's not spicy at all and is 2/3 onion. Otherwise, it's an average Chinese food place.

Context is everything! For Pierre, SD, my expectations for a Chinese restaurant are not high but this place definitely exceeded them. Good food, buffet was small but had a decent selection and the price was fair. Will definitely eat here again when I’m town.

Zesto in Pierre is by far the BEST place to get your sherbet fix! We visit Pierre 1-2 times a year and always get dry ice so we can take some home. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. You may see a long line, but trust me, it's worth the wait!

This old school ice cream drive up was popular so expect to wait in line. There were so many choices and they all looked good. Portions are a little bigger than normal but also really tasty.

Pierre Zesto is the absolute best! They have so many fun options and hand drawn pictures to help you decide! My kids love looking at all the pictures! Staff is friendly and made great recommendations.

Being an ice cream connoisseur and retro enthusiast, this place has those and many more qualities to offer. Highly recommend the pizza burger and fresh peaches float prepared by a positive energetic team.

I'm in pure all the time and had no idea that they had a Zesto's until a few weeks ago. It was fast and the parking was very convenient. The line was quick, and the ice cream was cold for a hot day!

One thing I will say on their behalf is that we got there with a half hour before they closed...as someone that's worked in fast food before, I know how it goes. But we were the ONLY ones in line though, and our order was not difficult so we didn't think too much about it. Before ordering, we are told that the grill is off already and they can't do anything grilled and they're out of something else. Fine, no big deal. Just wanted some oles and burritos. We place our order and pull up to the window, they take our payment and give us our drinks. Then, no joke, 10 to 15 minutes go by and we don't even see anyone moving around in there. Finally, around 20 minutes later we get our food.. we figure they had to make everything fresh... unfortunately the burritos were lukewarm at best, they were not prepared properly and we didn't get our nacho cheese. 10/10 wouldn't recommend going here during night shift. We fully understand it's close to closing time....but if you don't want to serve us just don't answer the drive through, or tell us you had to close early for some reason. It was like they just wanted us to drive off before ordering and again after paying. Or close earlier if it's too tough being open late night. Won't be going here again.

Was very delicious considering it’s bad history of being nasty food and greasy walls I would definitely recommend but make sure you check your bag before you leave. My wife and I ordered a six-pack and a pound and asked for 2 sides of cheese and was never in our bag but also understandable because it was busy when we arrived. Overall was a very 180 degree turn they are extremely delicious now compared to before.

Second time I have came in and waited 5 minutes and not gotten any service. Its ridiculous that employees can see you and not acknowledge you.

Horrible. They didn't put any cheese on the tacos. 4 TACOS, no cheese on ANY OF THEM. Called if they ran out of cheese. First time they hung up. Second time attitude. Just put cheese???!??

In the evening, this particular store CONSTANTLY screws up special orders. Husband always orders food "meat and cheese only", and half the time they don't make it to order. This time, they also forgot the cheese on the burrito. Taco came out fine. Receipt was never read back to him to verify. If local/corporate can find personnel/managers that are more diligent, I'd be far happier.

Called in to Order delivery after a 3hr drive to my hotel. The manager, Mike, answered the phone with a very exasperated tone, which made me feel like he was annoyed I was ordering. I'm a loyal dominoes customer at home, and know the menu and my order quite well. I asked for Cheddar Bacon tots and instead somehow got loaded cheesy tomato tots. When I called he told me he thought that's what I wanted after I had already described the dish and the individual ingredients to him over the phone when I initially called. This item has been on the menu for 6+ months at all dominoes stores. I'm really confused on how me getting a standard item menu with no special requests resulted in me getting a custom Italian tot. I called to get a refund and was just told I'll get credits to my dominoes account or they can remake it, but he still seemed confused at me ordering this specific item. He told me again that he was the manager, and that he was unaware so I went and pulled up the dominoes app and told him exactly how to make it with the 3 ingredients it requires. I understand having 13 orders and one driver but as manager I feel that's reflective of your ability to properly schedule reasonable help, as well as your knowledge of the menu itself (considering I didn't order anything "special")

Everytime I order from. This location they screw my order or so something else. They recently delivered it to the wrong house number. I called to complain and they banned me when I pointed out how stupid their driver was. I'll be happy to spend my money else where

Decided to try this Dominos for once. Do y'all not know how wings work? Lol. Sauce them correctly next time. And tslking to the person working was like interacting with a dead fish. 😝 The pizza sucked too. First and last time ordering from this place. Wasn't missing anything at all!

Must be prepared lose money if you ever order sauces. They make excellent pizza, pasta, or whatever sides you want. Be prepared to be let down the majority of the time if you pay for sauces as I have multiple times. I don't want to be the person that calls over a sauce cup as I work food service myself, but can we put on extra steps to make sure we get what we pay for?

Did an online order and the food was ready pretty quickly. Got my food and realized they had messed up our order so we went back in and they replaced it for us. While we waited for the remake a delivery driver came in and put an apron on. She then went on to make food without washing her hands. She also was not wearing a hat, just sunglasses on her head. She did realize her error and went out to her vehicle to get her hat but not before touching her hair first (makes me worry about the sanitation of the store.) We got our replacement food and brought it home to find hair in our food and raw dough in the middle of the bread bowl. Pretty upsetting seeing this coming from a previous employee of the company in a different city, where food like this would never be sent out the door and where we weren’t allowed near the food for our guests before washing our hands. Thank you guys for being kind to us about remaking the order and while we waited! However, when it comes to the food please do better

Always fast and delicious. Highly recommend to anyone craving some pizza and wings. This may also be the only food business in Pierre that stays open past 9pm.

Ordered curbside and waited in the parking for for 15 minutes. Finally got fed up and went inside to get my food. O have a kid in the car and really thought you were capable of delivering it to my car.
