Mexican restaurant
Little Mexico is a family-owned establishment that has been serving colorful folk art, authentic Mexican cuisine, and innovative margaritas since 1993. Recently, they demonstrated exceptional flexibility and hospitality by accommodating a party of 42 people for a daughter's 16th birthday dinner. The friendly wait staff ensured that everyone's needs were met, while the delectable food left a lasting impression, particularly the chimichangas. Additionally, the strawberry margaritas were described as delicious.
My husband and I have always enjoyed this restaurant. It is always clean and we have never had a bad dining experience. The owners are very nice people. I adore the waitstaff. Always so real and friendly. There is a great selection of food and it's always served fresh and hot. The margaritas are so so good. I would recommend trying!

This place was a big disappointment. Had my mother my wife and myself not a one of us was happy. When we first got there my wife had to use the bathroom she is handicap so I help her to the bathroom and wait outside the door till she's done as I was waiting I observed to make employees making out with another male employee. We ordered queso cheese in a bowl it was like water so we asked for a different bowl the manager who was very nice and professional got us another bowl said that if we didn't like it we would not have to pay for it after tasting it did not have a very good flavor to it and it was still running and watery like the first bowl so we let the manager know we did not have to pay for it. The food was just not up to par what a shame you pay $40+ dollars for a meal you hope to enjoy it

We’re moving down south from Iowa and stayed in Crawfordsville for the night. This restaurant is 100% worth it! My tacos were really good & they overfilled my margarita & gave me extra on the side :) definitely recommend

Great Mexican food with a great atmosphere. The Mexican Pizza is phenomenal. The staff are incredible, and the owners have been an amazing asset to our community through donations to local events and charities. 100% recommend Little Mexico.

Park
Milligan Park, located in the southeast of Crawfordsville, is the largest park in the city spread over 40 acres. The park offers a variety of amenities including a 22-hole disc golf course, horseshoe pits, a skate park, playgrounds for kids, picnic shelters, and sports fields. During Memorial Day Weekend through early August, visitors can enjoy the outdoor pool and splash pad. The park is known for its old trees providing ample shade and a serene atmosphere.
Nice clean park with ice cream shop next door. Disc golf, skate park and many places to sit and relax.
Ryan V — Google review
Very well kept park. Beginner friendly disc golf course. Beautiful variety of hardwoods.
Dale M — Google review
Nice facility. There was a public pool, splash pad, skate park, playground, pavilion all within walking distance! The kids enjoyed the park. We made lunch and had a meal next to the skate park. The restroom going to the pool was open for use.
Peter S — Google review
Such a fun little splash pad for kids! Both my 5 year old and 18 months old had fun here and we'd love to visit again!
E — Google review
Clean, nice and safe place to enjoy a family (or solo) outing. We visited as a family of 4 to play disc/frisbee golf and that specifically was an outstanding and fun trip. Great and well maintained disc golf course! Overall from our vantage point of throwing frisbees, the park was well maintained, clean and well suited for many outdoor activities.
Todd D — Google review
Nice city park. I like the disc golf course! Lots of old growth trees and good elevation changes. Good good course to take the kids. They also have a good playground and a pool.

Shopping
Cabbages & Kings Antique Mall is a sprawling antiques center with 120 vendor booths spread across 3 1/2 floors, offering over 20,000 square feet of treasures. From furniture and textiles to ceramics, lighting, books, clothing, vintage signs, and collectibles like toys and sports equipment - the variety seems endless. Visitors often find themselves spending hours exploring the constantly updated stock.
Tons of treasures to look though. 4 floors to explorer. Very helpful people there.

I found the littlest GrandAngel her 1st Levi's denim jacket. Found her first rootbeer mug and my husband a homemade Ford key holder. Happy finds and fond memories remade going in there.

Nice sized antique mall, pretty decent prices, LOTS of stuff, so be prepared to squeeze. Hope the roof gets fixed. The leaks on the top floor look bad
Then B — Google review
Pretty large supply of antiques, three floors. There is a pretty bad mold problem on the top floor, so if you're sensitive you may want to avoid this spot. I was able to find a few comic books, but no more than five or six.
Dr. S — Google review
Was in Crawfordsville downtown when I stumbled across this amazing 4 story antique mall. I surprised myself when I realized I had made I thought was gonna be a 15 min look around into a 3hr visit. This place is huge with treasures & trinkets around every corner, antiques gallore. It's a must stop & look around place & I bet that you can't stay only 15 mins. I also spotted this AMAZING ANTIQUE VICTORIAN BEDROOM SUIT I would have loved to had... Look at the detail that went into making this beautiful bed.
Angel H — Google review
A very nice and diverse assortment of antiques and collectibles from large furniture pieces to small curios. I thought prices were a little high on average, but there are a lot of reasonably priced things in good condition. The store has a mezzanine and upper floor so there is more to see than you might think on first glance. Proprietors are cordial and on street parking is relatively easy to find.

Sugar Creek Nature Park

Park
Nature preserve
Sugar Creek Nature Park offers an exhilarating and enjoyable experience, with opportunities for kayaking in fast-moving streams. Although it may involve occasional tipping over, the sheer joy and excitement reminiscent of a child's laughter make it worth the adventure. The park provides a serene ambiance, allowing visitors to unwind and marvel at its stunning surroundings. A highly recommended activity is following a short, easily navigable loop that leads under a bridge to reach the water.
So much fun! This was my like 3rd time kayaking and first time in rushing water. I of course tipped twice.. but giggled like a 5 year old the whole time. Such a beautiful day. Peaceful, relaxing and so beautiful. Highly recommend.
Mel T — Google review
Found some neat little rocks here 😎 🪨 Bring sunscreen! Not much shade coverage in the water 😁 better for rock hunting than actual swimming, of course the water was on the low end that time. I have also kayaked here and really enjoyed it! Again, just watch the water level and bring sunscreen 👍🌞💧 even if the water is low it is great for rock exploration
Haley T — Google review
Nice little park right off the interstate. Perfect place to stretch your legs and walk for a bit if you're on a long toad trip

nice park with a short loop trail and access to Sugar Creek. Sugar Creek is a beautiful stream, but the low-head dam at the former CEL&P power plant presents a public safety hazard that all kayakers, canoeists, fishermen, and swimmers should be aware of and avoid.

Specialty Museums
The Rotary Jail Museum in Crawfordsville, Indiana is a unique tourist attraction as it houses one of the only three remaining rotary jails in the United States. This historic jail, built in 1882, features a round cell block that rotates like a carousel, allowing access to only one cell at a time. The museum offers regular events and tours where visitors can learn about the history and operation of this fascinating piece of architecture.
Our tour guide was amazing! The facility and history are so interesting and well worth the trip! Be sure to check the hours for the correct season. They’re closed on holidays and some days near holidays. I’ve heard from a local that at times they have even closed early (like 2pm). In October it was open 10am - 3pm. We did get in successfully right at 10am on a Friday.
Faye H — Google review
I had an incredible experience visiting the Rotary Jail! The history of the place is fascinating, and the unique design of the jail is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. What made the tour even more special was our guide, Britney. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the jail, making the whole experience come to life. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail kept us engaged throughout the entire tour. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and asking for Britney as your guide. It’s a must-see historical gem!
Ivie G — Google review
GREAT find and place! I’ve been wanting to come here for a while but it didn’t work out until now. This old time jail and museum are super cool to see. The concept, the pictures and information there brings you back in time. The tour was self guided and you can roam freely between floors and jail cells and take your time looking through the museum artifacts. This small but packed full place is definitely worth stopping at! One of three locations left to witness these engineering marvel of its time!
MJ M — Google review
Certainly a unique historical experience. The "operating" rotary jail, out of the 18 built in the USA. Three still exist but only this one can turn, via a manual crank. The Crawfordsville sheriff and family lived in the main, two-story front, the jail behind. There are 8 cells on two floors, two prisoners per cell, a multi-bunk women's cell, and three infirmary cells on the top floor, and a solitary confinement cell. One guard could manage the entire facility.
Jeff H — Google review
The first time I came they were closed and there was nothing on Facebook... So that was a bit frustrating... However, I went on Thursday at 11am the next week and they were open! Everything was very well set up for either a tour or just time to explore. Signs were very detailed and helpful, it was easy to navigate, and everything is in great condition. There is also a gift shop! It was a bit sparse in supply while we were there, but I'm sure they'll restock soon. I will note though that this place, understandably, is not super accessible. I was with someone using a walker and it was very difficult to get up the stone steps, through the door (it only opened on one half of the french-style doors), and through the narrow doorways. He also had to opt out of exploring the upper levels of the jail. Unfortunately this is likely not the place for you if you need assistance walking or are in a wheelchair.
Kaiti M — Google review
After checking out of my hotel outside of Indianapolis I wanted another new or interesting thing to do before my 4 hour drive to Milwaukee. I am a sociologist and find the history of our prison system interesting so when I found this place in a search I knew I needed to stop. This was a worthwhile stop for sure since I was unfamiliar with this type of jail system built in the 1800s. There are only 2 left standing and this was the only one that still rotated. They closed after 50 years because of safety reasons. This jail was used as a drunk tank. I spent maybe a little more than an hour visiting but overall I think most would stop for about 30-45 minutes top. I had a really interesting talk with the guide about our prison system and the uniqueness of this type of system. It is definitely worth a stop so check it out!
Tara H — Google review
We went during the week while camping at Turkey Run. The staff was great and the gift shop was awesome!!! The jail itself is worth the drive! It's a piece of history that will never be repeated and needs to be preserved. If you get a chance...go!
Nancy Q — Google review
Fantastic visit back in time to small town life. The Rotary Jail was a modern marvel...with some pitfalls. The staff here is exceptional! Every question we had Elizabeth had a full detailed answer. Our visit was WELL WORTH the nominal fee. Brittany helped us with our giftshop purchase and was helpful and kind. Super place!

Campground
Sugar Creek Campground & Canoe Rentals in Crawfordsville is the ultimate destination for water recreation on Sugar Creek. They offer a variety of activities such as kayaking, tubing, canoeing, and fishing. Additionally, they provide camping packages with all necessary equipment for a convenient outdoor stay. The campground is well-maintained and family-friendly with clean facilities and beautiful grounds to explore. Visitors have praised the friendly and helpful staff who ensure a pleasant experience.
I was looking for a nice place to take my kids camping. My friend at work recommended sugar creek so I booked a cabin and we made the 2 hour drive. We got back this afternoon and it has been our best mini vacation trip ever. The people here are so nice and helpful. When we checked in the guy came up on his golf cart and gave my son a tour around and told him about the types of fish they have in the creek. My son was in heaven the whole trip. He caught his first cat fish and was super excited about that. We had bonfires, made smores, cooked out, did all the camping stuff. We even had a little projector we used at night time and watched movies on the cabin wall. My kids, and I all had so much fun and can’t wait to go back soon.
James S — Google review
This is a great campground with wonderful staff! The campground is clean and the bath house is the nicest we have seen. We did primitive camping on site 10. It was a large site with nice shade. Only downfall was it was extremely muddy, no grass. We had planned to bring our dogs and I’m so glad we didn’t because they would have been covered in mud. (There had been recent rain and it did rain while we were there). It would be nice for there to be gravel in the primitive area where you drive. Overall, we had a great time and will be back, just at a different site that has some grass.
Claire B — Google review
You are right at the creek, and there is easy access to it, and a little beach. There is also an outdoor shower area for you to rinse off after being in the creek. They have canoe and kayaking trips, and fishing. There are plenty of activities for kids as well. However, the sewer connection is very high up, making it difficult to fully use.
Sadie K — Google review
They did a great job handling our large group. From pickup to check in and launch they kept us informed and safe. We launched nearly 40 canoes on to the creek with all skill levels with no problems. The extraction point can be tricky so plan ahead. There camp store has dry pouches for cell phones and snacks. A highlight is the customer service manager, Cheryl. She greets everyone and enjoys pets and playing with life vest straps.
Greg W — Google review
Very fun 5 Mile canoe route, water was shallow when I went so we kept bottoming out but I could tail it was water levels, The staff is super nice and informative, and when we flipped we had like 5 people rush to us and help us (not staff just customers) Camp ground for primitive camping is lot s of dry dry wood scattered about and plenty of dead leaves in case you forget a log Bugs bugs were not so bad at the campsite but got pretty annoying up in the grass area. the showers for rinsing off or very clean and very very warm The Creek water was clean and didn't smell too bad and was really very refreshing on the 98° day that we went!! TLDR: Bring some bug spray, sun screen, and a little battery powered fan and you'll have the best time 30$ can buy you

Yummmmmm! Parmesan breadsticks - delicious (so good we didn’t get a pic). Baked ravioli - I was surprised that it was breaded ravioli but it worked, the marinara is incredible! Forgot a pic. Meat lovers pizza - loaded with meat and cheese, go good! Combo meat pasta - we were too full by this point to eat it all but had to try it, the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious!! 10/10 we will be back!!

My husband is a huge pizza lover. So much so that every place we have ever vacationed he HAS to stop to try the local pizza. Unfortunately, for medical reasons, I have to eat low carb meals; which often times limits where we can eat out especially in Crawfordsville. Many restaurants get upset if you bring in any outside food (even though they do not offer any low carb options.) Recently, I saw a post on FB showing the Chicken Bacon Club sandwich. I didn't realize they even offered this type of sandwich so I went online to check out the menu. I was pleased to see a variety of items available (even though there wasn't many low carb options). I decided I would bring some cottage cheese (can't eat chips) and my own low carb bread and order the chicken, bacon club (with no bread) then I would just add it to my bread. We asked the waitress if it was OK and she said yes so, we went ahead and ordered. Glad we gave it a try. The food was delicious! The waitress was very nice and did a great job. The atmosphere has a great nostalgia feel. We will definitely be back!

Restaurant
Maxine's On Green is a culinary gem that has captured the hearts of many food lovers. Renowned for its standout Turkey Bravo sandwich, which patrons find themselves craving daily, this eatery offers an array of delicious menu items that are hard to resist. The sides, particularly the out-of-this-world French fries and deep-fried mushrooms, elevate the dining experience even further. Guests rave about their freshly baked dinner rolls and perfectly cooked sirloin steaks, highlighting both flavor and tenderness.
Said it 20 times, I’ll say it 20 more. Maxine’s is the 95-96 Chicago Bulls of sandwiches. The Turkey Bravo is a sandwich I think about at least once a day. I’ve had other menu items, which were also fantastic, I just can’t get away from the Bravo. The sides are killer as well. If you want to experience a French fry from another planet of deliciousness, order up. You’ll see. My lady and I love to lunch there, or grab carryout on lazy days. I can confidently say we’ve never had a bad meal or experience here. The food is always perfect temp and quick. Hats off to Hannah and her killer crew she has making this place happen. If you’re curious (which you must be because you’re reading reviews) - here’s your sign. GET SOME!

Photos below are what I got and what I expected. I got no tomatoes on mine. But no scallions, lack of chicken, only pepper on the chicken, all the toppings were under the spring mix. I've had alot of good sandwiches here before takeout. Just shocked how you can make a Salad depressing.

This place has the best food I have had in a long time. Their deep fried mushrooms are the best mushrooms I have ever had. Their dinner rolls are hot and freshly baked yeast rolls. They are amazing. My dinner was medium well sirloin, it was cook as I had ordered and it was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. The waitress was very attentive and she took very good care of us. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everybody. This is my favorite restaurant now by far.

This place is just the best! During a recent visit to Maxine’s on Green, my family and I were thoroughly impressed by the food and outstanding service. The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes, each presented beautifully and bursting with flavor. A standout for us was certainly the cupcakes we ordered for our daughter’s birthday party. They were not only beautifully decorated, but also absolutely delicious—each bite was a delightful surprise! I highly recommend Maxine’s on Green for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Crawfordsville. It's a place that combines great food with heartfelt hospitality!

Maxine’s on the Green was the caterer at our daughter’s wedding. I can’t say enough about how fun, easy to work with and professional Hannah is. She and her staff served our meal with ease and the food presentation was top notch. Our crowd had several dietary restrictions and Hannah handled those issues so easily. Another plus to Maxine’s is that she could also do the cake.. it was absolutely perfect!! Thank you Hannah and staff at Maxine’s on the Green

Chicken restaurant
Fast food restaurant
KFC is a well-known eatery celebrated for its large containers of deep-fried poultry, alongside combination platters and accompanying dishes. This popular food chain is recognized for its succulent fried chicken served in generous portions. In addition to their signature main course, KFC offers various meal options that include an assortment of delectable side dishes. With a reputation built on their flavorful fried chicken, KFC has become synonymous with mouthwatering poultry-based dining experiences across the globe.
It’s always a painfully long wait to get food. I’ve been there waiting and overheard the manager turn away a customer bc they didn’t have a certain chicken made and the manager wouldn’t make more. My husband and I moved here January and the fountain machine hasn’t worked since (at least) then. But honestly probably before. There’s always workers standing in the back and it takes an eternity for them to notice you standing up front

Chicken was rock hard wasn’t edible at all then went to eat my coleslaw and they had a bread clip inside almost choked on it when trying to eat . I decided to call and let the company know what I had found the female was extremely rude and didn’t want to put a manager on the phone kept repeating she was like one so we can talk to her. After I had paid I was handed drinks with no ice inside the cups asked where the ice was and they told me there ice machine wasn’t working. The female on the phone was so rude had horrible customer service and said to me what would you like me to do about it .

I got the 16 piece meal. Waited for fresh chicken. It was great. Then I opened the box that was supposed to have 8 biscuits in it. Kind of sad that someone thought this was OK to serve to a customer.

To the owner of this franchise location. Give me $1000 and I will give you 40 hours. Five 8 hour shifts. Two to observe, one to develop procedural changes, two to implement changes. I guarantee I can improve your efficiency and increase your sales. I went for carrot arriving at 5:55pm. It took 25 minutes to place my order and 25 minutes to get my order. I watched 5 vehicles pull away including one that had already placed their order. I’m guessing average drive through order to be around $30.00. That’s $150.00 you lost just while I was waiting. I asked the girl if there were only two people working. She found that funny and basically replied “more or less”. I have worked in high volume restaurants for many, many years and have worked with top food and beverage directors. I don’t expect KFC to be true fast food but come on, 50 minutes!
Jeff M — Google review
After waiting 40 mins to finally recieve my food I get home and they completley messed up my order forgot my fries only one large mash instead of two no hot sauce no butter. And I somehow ended up with Cole slaw. Tried calling a bunch of times and no answer. Doesnt even deserve 1 star
Brittany M — Google review
I ordered 2 chicken breasts, a famous bowl, and 2 large fries. The fries were cold and half empty and I got no chicken breasts. Worst $23 dollars I've ever spent.
Ace G — Google review
Might have spruced the building, but the chicken is still over cooked, dry, and tasteless. I think they served old chicken that had been sitting in a heated drawer. Avoid this KFC. They need to be re-trained by the owner on how to cook chicken.
Diane C — Google review
Ordered pickup and was falsely instructed to pick up inside even though the lobby has been closed for the last 2 years. 11:50a-1:20p was spent trying to get through a four person line, because the order box was broken. "Chicken" was so overcooked the meat was gone, it was just mummified skin incased in cement breading, the first bite cut the top of my mouth open. 2 weeks later Im still healing, cant taste anything right, and wake up with blood in my mouth every morning. NEVER AGAIN.

We decided to return to Indianapolis and make a stop at The Creekside Lodge, a local restaurant that stands out from the chains. It offers both indoor and spacious outdoor seating areas, providing a pleasant view of the creek. As expected, they serve various dishes with no frills but great taste. I opted for the Hawaiian Pizza, which came in a take-home box – a thoughtful detail. The most popular choice among other patrons seemed to be the country fried steak.
The salad, and the potato were average. The Friday night prime rib was unbelievable! I had an end cut, seasoned and seared. It was fantastic. My wife and I ate a prime rib at Gordon Ramsay‘s restaurant in Louisville a few weeks ago. This was better! Thank you, everybody!
Joe S — Google review
Cute restaurant in a serene location next to a creek on the outskirts of town. Easy access from I-74. The website could use some updated pictures. It's a little more run down from wear and tear, still not bad. The menus were a little rough/faded too. Service: Coke products. We did get a refill, but had to ask for it. Food came out in all 3 acceptable amount of time, not super quick though. Ok, Food: Chili, pass. More like a vegetable soup with meat and beans added. Sandwiches were good. I got the small patty melt and it was made right. No complaint. The potato salad is different. It is very rich with bacon, cheese, onions. It tasted good and I got a huge portion. The tenderloin was fantastic. Idk if it's on the tenderloin trail, but it should be. It was fresh, thick, and good size around and not all breading. The fries were basic. Lastly got the carrot cake to go. Good thing, cuz it was still cold/slightly frozen and at $8.99 for a basic sized slice, I would probably pass next time. Overall, not bad. Would probably eat here again.

We were getting married nearby and ate at this restaurant several times. We also chose to host our rehearsal dinner here on the patio. The menus are a bit old and worn out, but everything else is love! The decor is great and they go all out to decorate for holidays. We have always had good service and the food has always been very good! We definitely recommend it if you are looking for a good meal and a relaxed atmosphere!

Food was very good. My wife has the pasta with prime Rib. I had the pork chops also very good. House salad was nice as well. Indoor atmosphere is 3 stars at the best. During nice weather I recommend the outdoor patio.
James D — Google review
I stopped by the Creekside the last night of the 25 MXON. The breaded pork tenderloin was great as were the burgers. Kimberly waited on us outside and kept the bar open inside a wee bit after hours so us and a group of international race fans from the Netherlands could celebrate the MX des Nations. Kimberly helped us drive the group of international MX fans back to Ironman at midnight on a Sunday. If you are in town for Ironman GNCCs or MX Nationals stop by and say hello to Kimberly!
Ted K — Google review
I had the Creekside Burger and my wife had the meatloaf daily special. Both were outstanding. We also ordered cocktails with dinner, which were great. The staff was fast, friendly and very attentive. The outdoor seating was nice with a view of the local creek. We were told that the deer usually wonder into the field in the evening and you can sit on the porch and watch them while having dinner.
Brian A — Google review
Overall: disappointed. We went at 3pm today for an early dinner so we could bring our 1 year old and not disturb others - the place was empty. The coffee was barely lukewarm and tasted like it had been watered down. We did the prime rib meal and it was not seasoned and fairly cold. We had Mac n cheese that was supposed to be home made but tasted like Annie’s with some white cheddar cheese shredded on it. The waitress was nice enough but incredibly aloof and incompetent. This place was a thorough disappointment - three stars feels overly generous.
Lacey D — Google review
Random pick for dinner from Goggle Maps after traveling all day. Staff were friendly and engaging. The full bar and deck offered a great way to unwind. Partner loved the Creekside burger and the pub fries were plentiful. I had the meatloaf special which also came with loaded potato soup. The soup and the meatloaf were both delicious. Definitely recommend seating outside on the deck.

Plaza Lanes Family Entertainment Center, located at 1643 Eastway Drive on the east side of Crawfordsville Square, offers a variety of activities for visitors. The facility is known for its cleanliness and friendly staff. In addition to bowling, Plaza Lanes features laser tag, an arcade, and a snack bar. There's also a separate bar area for adults. The center offers daily specials on bowling games and is popular for hosting birthday parties.
Took the kids here they had alot of fun. Great family activity. Friendly staff! Definitely a great place to make meaningful memories.

All jokes aside, I been coming here since I was a little. I grew up in Crawfordsville, and Plaza Lanes was about all there was to do then. Cville has grown since then, and now I get to take my daughter to the same place. Two stars for nostalgia, one for growth. They'd get more if half the arcade wasn't broken.

Nice, small town bowling alley. The computers were from the 90's and gave it a vintage feel. Very nice staff
Tracy C — Google review
Great staff and excellent customer service. The alley was really clean and the staff was very attentive. Our group had a great time and appreciated the friendliness and patience of the staff from the front desk to concessions to the arcade to the lane attendants.

went there to have fun and didn’t know it was a private event nothing was posted on anything and got rudely talked to by someone and i told them that i was just coming for the arcade she said i needed to “see my way out”

We took our great grandsons to play Lazer tag and they loved it. The only thing that was a problem is that they started getting so busy and didn't have enough help.

Always love visiting Plaza Lanes. The facility is always clean, including the restrooms, the employees are really friendly and helpful, and there's more than Bowling! Something for everyone: Bowling, Lazer Tag, Arcade, Snack Bar, also has a Bar attached (but it's separated by doors and windows so kids can't/won't go in it. They have daily specials on Bowling Games. Allow you to have birthday parties, etc... Very family friendly, family oriented. Moderately priced. But with a different special, every day of the week, there's always an opportunity to save money on Bowling Games! Our family doesn't go there as much as we used to, but we still go when we can And we all enjoy it. Definitely reccomend if you're in the Crawfordsville area and looking for something to do, or a place to bowl!
Chasity J — Google review
The bowling alley ball returner wasn't working on our lane, so they moved us to a new lane. The same issue occurred on the new lane. We asked for our money back because we hadn't even made it through one game and the lady at the counter said she could give us a rain check. I asked if the ball returner was actually going to work the next time we showed up and she said "well I don't know." I said I'd rather just get my money back. I was told they couldn't do that, they could only give us a rain check. This is on a Friday night and we were the only ones in the bowling alley. Sadly to say crawfordsville will be losing this activity because poor customer service and equipment that doesn't work properly. For being the only customers here we shouldn't have to keep asking for our balls to be returned when there are 5 workers. We also had a child with us and she planned to do the arcade and they shut it down early on us. She couldn't even enjoy the arcade like we told her when we walked in, it was open then and closed right after.

Nestled within the serene Milligan Park, Crawfordsville Municipal Golf Course offers an 18-hole experience spread across 132 acres of picturesque parkland. Despite its affordable pricing, the course surprises visitors with its quality, attributed to a decade-long program of enhancements. Originally established in 1906 with nine holes, it has since undergone expansions and renovations to become a premium yet accessible golfing destination. Travelers seeking a tranquil golfing spot away from bustling cities will find this location appealing.
If you are traveling, this is a wonderful place to stop and golf. I was here on a monday after the weekend. It was still beautiful after all the weekend traffic. Ground crew is busy like bees. I was looking for a golf course away from the large metropolis in my travels. This location is particularly appetizing. Just off the main drag, plenty of motels and food in the area but a LOT less people. I ⛳️ golfed 18(solo) and was back on the road shortly after 10:00am. on this gem of a course. Plush 💚 greens..... I could do on and on. You should try it yourself. Stop in and Jeff will get you rolling. There will be hot dogs on the rotisserie when you are done, so you can have a 🌭 dog on your way out! So glad I stopped!

Solid course. Cart paths and hole locations a bit confusing for a first timer. Was muddy and could have used some ball washers. Some challenging holes, good elevation changes and well placed hazards. Overall good value spot.

Was invited to be in a scramble by my late father's golf club. Everyone working at the Golf Course what kind and very helpful. The course was a wonderful shape, the sand traps need work but was told that that is their top priority. I'm not saying this to diss the golf course but to be informative for golfers in the future but hopefully by 2024 everything will be in great shape.
Larry I — Google review
For November, the course was in pretty good shape. Greens were well groomed. Golf cart was a tad old but still performed well. Hadn't played here in 25+ years so it was a pleasure to get reacquainted with the course. Got bit a few times off the tee because I forgot about some of the ditches that crossed the fairways close to the driver landing zone. Also got confused on a few of the tee box locations. More signs would have been helpful for that. Price was reasonable. Staff was friendly.
Dennis S — Google review
Very nice course and they have been steadily improving it over the 5-6 years that we've been coming here. Back 9 has some really great holes! Staff is always courteous! Not a refined and beautiful country club, but overall - well maintained! Reasonably priced.

I used P&R purely for the weight room. It has the basics, which was all I needed at the time. The downfall is the space. If you’re there during busy hours, it can be difficult to get a solid workout in. The guy who typically works early mornings (Jeremiah) is great. Very helpful and very friendly. Can’t say the same about my experience in the evenings. There were several nights where teenagers were in the weight room and would be horsing around, which isn’t great when you’re attempting to squat 300+ and you see two knuckleheads shoving each other around five feet away. Staff clearly have visibility of what’s happening because of the security cameras, but they never did anything about it. It’s the reason I left. The evenings weren’t well managed but mornings/afternoon are excellent.

I love that you can buy passes for decent prices as well.

Nice, clean facility with plenty of options: walking track (about 18 laps = 1 mile), cardio machines, free weights and machines (including a squat rack, straight bars, and a hex bar), a gymnasium, a gymnastics area, locker rooms, various group classes, and probably other things I'm not thinking of. The park pool is nearby (you can see it from the weight area windows). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and their rates are reasonable.

Super China Buffet has been a beloved dining spot for over 26 years, and it’s easy to see why! With its welcoming atmosphere and friendly service, this restaurant offers a delightful experience for all who visit. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, making it a favorite among regulars. While the buffet isn't fully operational yet, patrons can still enjoy an extensive menu filled with tasty options. Many families love coming here weekly, enjoying both dine-in and takeout choices.
If you want a simple buffet; this is it! Delicious and a wide variety in a small buffet. Everyone will find something and no one goes home hungry…

Friendly service. Food was okay. I liked the coconut seafood. The rice noodles and fried rice. Could use more vegetables options.
Shelby R — Google review
This was an absolute disappointment it was almost $50 for two adults and a child and the food wasn’t even edible. It had been sitting out forever stale and it just plain nasty. Takes the title for worst “Chinese” food I have ever eaten. Save your money and don’t go here. Not to mention they had alot of spots on the buffet bar that wasn’t Chinese food it was American and not even cooked properly. Just a mess! The only thing we found that we actually liked was the soft serve machine.
Cheyenne G — Google review
I do wish people were kinder with their reviews as they CHOOSE to dine here. The pricing is literally your problem, not the restaurants. If you cannot afford to dine here, say so. I’ve loved this place since I first tried it and refuse to eat fried rice from any other place. The one in Lafayette may have more options but the staffs always rude and forcing you to give a 15% customary tip. You do not get a say on tipping there. This place may be old, but the owners and staff are always working so hard to make their customers food and to stay in business in the current busy times. Please be kinder, if you don’t like it go somewhere else. The pricing isn’t that bad if you choose to dine instead of using the buffet. They’ve just recently started their buffet back up and their staff is limited. For reference, I’ve dined-in, done take out and delivery for this place. It won’t allow me to pick more than one option. I hope the family and staff of this wonderful restaurant stay for as long as they need to.
Dustin H — Google review
The food tasted really good. I had bariatric sleeve surgery so I can't eat much. I went because my family wanted to go. Anyway I didn't know they had a take home food option till later. I tried to eat 1 plate of food but couldn't finish it and felt bad I was wasting a plate full. Anyway it's $3.59 a lb of food. They go by weight. I didnt do this option because I already paid for the buffet without thinking about it. So more error on my part. I didn't want to pay way more to take it home because by this point it I had been sitting for an hour with it.
Kathleen M — Google review
Needs updated, and different food choices. Has been the same for years. Happy to see the buffet is back but nothing has really been added or changed to the menu from years ago.

I e been coming to this place for a very long time, I actually spoke with the owner and this restaurant has been here for 26 years!! Man where does the time go?!?! The service here is above and beyond, the food is fresh and great, the restaurant is clean and tidy, bathroom is clean, the prices can't be beat especially for the quality of the food. The buffet isn't up and going quiet yet but will be soon but you can still order off the menu. My dad and I come here once a week and we will continue to. This is one of Crawfordsville's best restaurants. Definitely gotta try it!!

Why would you not have your hours updated? To be on a road trip and pick your establishment to stop at for food and be denied is incredibly unprofessional. Why would your hours say you're open and the door be locked? People come to this town to eat when they are going to s football game. You need to get better business management.

Just got a chicken burrito to go, terrible. Menu said it was supposed to have lettuce and tomatoes… not! Only chicken inside and the outside was smothered with a white Cheese sauce that was more like an Alfredo sauce, and menu didn’t say this was a wet burrito. So frustrating when food to go is t what you ordered or diff from menu.

Typically I don't have bad experiences here, but finding hair in your food is disgusting

Pizza itself seems fine, but my ETA was 20min, and when I showed up after a half hour they hadn't even started it yet. Definitely don't believe the ETA from the app, and my advice would be to order early! This isn't the first time this has happened at this Papa John's, unfortunately.

Easily my favorite pizza place in town. Staff is friendly and very helpful. You never have to wait long for your food. Mike has a good crew working with him and as a delivery driver I rarely have to wait long on food if at all. Now if I can just get Shaq to make an appearance ha ha. something must be going right cause they have very little turnover compared to other places.

We order for a big family and was greeted with rudeness he started be condescending and after we orde rhe started yelling loudly oh stuff crust stuff crust just being down right rude and disrespectful
Herschell S — Google review
Usually have good service and quality pizza here with a few exceptions. I can't get over the $6 delivery charge when it doesn't go to the drivers. If you're ordering a normal large pizza for delivery this is bumping the price up around 30%.

Fantastic museum. Our guide Thomas Meeks was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Simply afternoon well spent

Got a great tour from an enthusiastic guide last saturday at around 12:30 yesterday. Learned a lot and got to enjoy the legacy of a great man, learned a lot about Wallace's place in history and steeped myself in late 19th century intellectual culture. Great place. Tour did not take long and you were allowed to enjoy a great deal of freedom in looking around the study and grounds.

Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival

Festival
The Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival is a beloved three-day event in Montgomery County, celebrating the spirit of bygone days with a blend of food, arts & crafts, and entertainment at Lane Place. The festival offers an array of strawberry treats, live music, and arts & crafts for all ages to enjoy. Additionally, visitors can explore a car & tractor show while savoring the sweetest strawberries in Indiana during June.
Drove from Illinois just to hang out at the Strawberry Festival for the afternoon. Had lots to eat! Thank you!
Sy G — Google review
The food was undercooked, too expensive, I ordered a tenderloin it was undercooked raw very expensive, they are all out for the money 💰. I would recommend next time I go I will eat first before I buy off of any vendor,. I purchased three items and it cost me$55.00. unacceptable. My family member that came his food was also undercooked raw. He's spent$65. Unacceptable, the vendor's needs to pay more attention to food products, instead of trying to make a fast buck!!!!!!!!... The band was awesome 👍. But the vendors was not!!! 🚫
Kristine B — Google review
It is a yearly event for me and my family. Highly recommended to experience. Lots of food vendors and folks that want to sell you their wares.
Joseph H — Google review
Many places to choose where to get your strawberries with shortcake whipped cream or just plain. I was disappointed that the berries were mixed with sugar and possibly water. Not a lot of berries in my serving. The event location was great as far as shade, handicapped accessible, and distance to downtown Crawfordsville. Parking was scarce unless you didn’t mind walking a bit.
Laura L — Google review
I'm from Dayton Ohio. I came with my boyfriend to see his uncle. We went to the festival tried all the food. This festival had the best food I have ever tasted. Love the Mexican corn. I love the cheese cake and strawberries and ice cream. I checked out the homes around the festival. Very nice little town. Crawfordsville Strawberry festival.
Kathie S — Google review
I'm not really sure why it's called a strawberry festival, as the only booth to serve any strawberry products sold bowls of frozen strawberries. I expected fresh strawberries, strawberry shortcake, bacon wrapped strawberries, etc - honestly any and all products made with fresh strawberries. The closet I got was looking at the painted strawberries painted on windows throughout the town. If you want a generic festival with games, music, and fried foods, this is a great event to visit. But it is NOT a strawberry festival.
Nichole K — Google review
I give this place one star, after going for a couple years now it seems to get more and more expensive and the food tastes horrible. I paid 37 tickets or $17 worth of tickets for a fried veggie basket only to find out later that the booth had their veggies in a container sitting in the sun for hours. I left this place with an empty pocket and upset stomach after $40 in veggie basket, corn dog, and a drink. Some of the booths that were selling handmade rings and things were cool but I will never waste my time coming again.

This is such a neat little museum! They host all sorts of fun events, too. My six year old son and I recently visited for their Pi Day celebration and had lots of fun. I've also attended Geeks Who Drink trivia nights here. I highly recommend stopping in just to see the exhibits and chat with the friendly staff.

Cute, well kept park.

The large flat buildings nearby really help direct the traffic noise straight to the park. Also, who was in charge of naming this place? It’s almost like they let locals submit names to be chosen from and then just made up their own name for it and acted like someone had suggested it. And!!! There’s melted silver dollars in the ground.

Farmers' market
Four Seasons Local Market is a vibrant community market in Crawfordsville, offering fresh produce, local goods, and artisanal crafts. It's a delightful stop for food enthusiasts seeking organic ingredients and supporters of small businesses. The market features locally raised non-GMO beef, grassfed beef, pastured pork, lamb, chicken, baked goods, prepared meals, smoked meats and specialty items from Indiana vendors.
We love coming into Four Seasons for local meat, milk, olive oil, etc... Knowledgeable Owners and they have a great selection of products as well as prepared foods by the Juniper Spoon - I highly recommend!
Jackie M — Google review
It's a beautiful shop. Business Hours make it difficult to be a dedicated customer. Prices did limit my purchases. Love that it's all local and very clean store. If i lived closer I would return, but it is not a destination goal now that I've seen it. Definitely a place to go if you are close.
Lola R — Google review
I really wanted to love this place but the hours make it impossible. For MONTHS I have been trying to come in and get something from the Juniper Spoon but because of the hours Saturday is the only time I can get there and by then everything is gone. I get businesses can set their own hours but you are cutting out a large customer base.

LOVE this place! Great local in-season fruits and veggies, eggs, local meats, fresh homemade baked goods, prepared food, as well as specialty items from Indiana vendors such as popcorn, kettle chips, and pickles! We love having a local spot to get B Happy Peanut butter, Fair Oaks dairy products, Trader Point Creamery items, too. Our family faves: Farm Girl Ice Cream (ANY kind!) and local honey!
Kelly N — Google review
I love shopping year round in this local store owned by families in this community. Purchasing eggs & meat from farms that I drive by and see the animals in the pasture and the family outside working is far superior to the unknown items at a chain store! Family favorites are the pork patties with bacon and of course the eggs. I also like to purchase local honey here.
Dawn B — Google review
This place sell all sorts of pork products but yet they don't sell pork belly? What gives? I have really become disgusted with this place because they won't tell me why they don't sell pork belly. I have bought it there before. I'm willing to pay any extra money for the time and materials they have to use and am willing to wait for the order. HELLO, what do you have against me? I also know this place delete negative comments and feed back too. Dishonest. I'm back. Now I know why I can't buy pork belly anymore from this lying bunch making excuses that didn't even make sense since they sold just about all kinds of pork products. They never used to sell lard and I find it strange that they started selling lard after I told them that I rendered the pork belly for lard. I know that is why they can't sell pork belly to me anymore. But it was this picture that clued me into why I wasn't able to buy pork belly from the Shannon Family Farm through Four Season's Local Market. When I contacted them, they had excuses instead of being honest and just told me they don't sell pork belly anymore because they now make lard. Not being able to buy pork belly locally is the reason I refuse to go into that store anymore. And besides I don't like their baked goods. I've had to throw them away on more than one occasion.

Turtle Park is a beloved destination for families with young children, offering a fantastic outdoor experience for little ones. It's a top choice among locals and visitors alike, especially those with kids around four years old. With its appealing features and amenities, it has earned a reputation as an excellent park for the youngest members of the community to enjoy.

The pictures are spot on. But the reading description is false advertising. It makes it seem like some huge green area with multiple playgrounds and delicious food. The Nutella sundae was not as good as I hoped. Also the playground is 10 and under when all children should be able to play, not just the children who are under the age of 10.

We stopped by after a couple days at Turkey Run. The food is light and very flavorful! I feel satisfied and so happy with this choice. The roast beef in the Philly Steak is so tender and beautiful. The chipotle chicken wrap had the perfect amount of spice and the cilantro added to the fresh flavor. This is perfect!

Love the atmosphere and minimalist environment. Perfect and simple menu. I ordered the Ham and Cheese. Unfortunately the cheese appeared to be the store bought cheddar/American cheese squares, and the ham did not taste fresh either. The black bean soup on the other hand was very good and clearly made that day. I will order something else next time.

My friend and I went to this restaurant because we were looking for a good lunch, something kinda new, a restaurant we hadn’t already been before. It was difficult to find as there are no signs put on the street and it just blends in, but nonetheless the waitress (who I believe was the owner) was so friendly when we came in. We got seated immediately and it was a quiet, cozy yet lively atmosphere. We got our orders in not long after we sat down and got our drinks, and the wait was pretty decent. I got the chicken bacon ranch wrap and dill pickle soup which was absolutely soo delicious– best sandwich i’ve ever had. The soup complimented it very nicely. My friend got the special of the day, fajita pasta and that was pretty tasty as well. The price was perfect, very much worth it. I will be coming back for more !! 4/5🌟

Very clean restaurant with very nice staff. The food was excellent and I was very happy that they had a gluten-free dedicated fryer as well as gluten-free buns. They have fresh cut fries. I had a build your own burger and my boyfriend had a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. We were both totally satisfied with our food. We were surprised that the sandwiches with fries were both only $10. Can't go wrong with that. They offered desserts as well as a wide variety of alcohol and specialty drinks. They played very light music over the system which we enjoyed. They also had a tiki bar but we did not go downstairs to see it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The serving size for fried pickles is not that grand, more of a one person size. The volcano fries were definitely delicious My Bison burger didn't have all the toppings on it that I requested, but waitress did bring them out. I have never had a Bison burger, but in my opinion it tastes just like a hamburger 🍔. Food lost 1 star for toppings ordered being brought out about 5+ min after burger was served, and 9$ single serving fried pickles. But everything was delicious.

The server, Eric was wonderful. His suggestion for what I wanted for dinner was great. Me and my husband went and he ordered the fried mushrooms, which were absolutely wonderful… He had the pork tenderloin sandwich and we were very impressed at the size of his sandwich and I had chicken tenders beer battered very very good. I must add. I am very picky when it comes to french fries and I do mean picky. Those were wonderful. I could actually eat them without a problem. Very quaint atmosphere… would definitely return. We like supporting small businesses when we can.

If you are in a hurry DO NOT GO HERE!! It took 15 minutes for the server (who was young, sweet and by herself in the restaurant and patio) to come to our table. Food took forever and was undercooked. $5 charge for getting 6 onion rings. Couldn’t sit on patio because tons of smokers Not recommended

Listen, I just wanna share my experience. I was really excited to try this place. I had heard a bunch of really good things so me and some family from out of town. went to try it out yesterday when we first arrived it took rather long time to even be acknowledged by the staff, but we chopped it up to maybe them being shortstaffed we stayed, and they finally seated us in the patio, which sounded nice, but upon getting out, there wasn’t very clean and the tables weren’t cleared me and my family pieced together chairs to make a table work for us. I wasn’t happy with the waitress attitude when she came to ask for water And then we sat there for 35 minutes to never receive anything we eventually got up and walked out, so disappointing cause I heard great things, but after this experience, I don’t even know if I wanna try it again.

Dari-Licious is a delightful gem nestled in a family-friendly park, making it the perfect pit stop for summer fun. Whether you're craving a refreshing shake or a classic hot dog, this spot has you covered with its tasty offerings. Many visitors rave about their malted shakes, which provide a lighter alternative to traditional ice cream. The coney dogs are particularly popular—especially when topped with cheese!

For starters, the kids fun pack that comes with ice cream includes the smallest ketchup cup filled with ice cream! Just enough to make your kid upset. And they got a drink that literally consisted of 4 drinks! That's ridiculous. Way overpriced, ice cream has a sour taste almost like it's went bad. I'm very disappointed. I use to love this place! No quality now.

I believe I’ve been to the Dari for my final time. I ordered two scoops of hand-dipped cookie dough ice cream and it was over $8.00. They were decent sized scoops, but eight dollars for an ice cream cone in a town surrounded by cornfields is wild. When I asked why, the girl told me because it was new and difficult to scoop? There wasn’t a single piece of cookie dough in the ice cream! It was all chocolate chips in cookie dough-flavored ice cream. I wish ‘em well & am glad they’re giving local kids employment opportunities.

What a lovely little addition to a nice kid-friendly park! The wife and I had shakes and hotdogs and they were both equally tasty. The shakes I think were malted which I prefer over the heavy ice cream versus so that may be different if you are not used to it. It is well worth your time to stop in and cool off during the summer time 😎👍

I went there yesterday with my wife just because we were in town. I'm a milkshake fanatic and always have to try them if they're a menu item, but the ice cream wasn't the problem; that was great. The problem was the "cheese steak". People reading this, when you see cheese steak on a menu, the first thought that comes to mind should be a Philly cheese steak. Instead, I get a Salisbury steak with cheese. I was so disappointed, but didn't want to cause a scene since they were busy. The chocolate cake shake was good though, so at least there was that.

Just grabbed take out. Cashier was friendly and nice. Pizza was ready fast and it was delicious! (12" Supreme). Highly recommend this place!

Very good! I had never tried this place, as I am a semi driver. I added banana peppers and black olives. Perfect addition! It showed up very hot and fresh. The the delivery was very nice and courteous, before but almost on time. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had. I'm not having any other pizza unless someone shows me a spot. I found my go to.
Jay G — Google review
I miss the days when you could dine in, but this is hands-down the best pizza in town. Cheese Boss is appropriately named! Only complaint is their cheese sauce for dipping breadsticks. The Midwest always has nacho cheese for breadsticks, but theirs just tastes…off. But that is the ONLY complaint I have. The pizza and service are some of the best. You won’t regret giving this place a shot.

First time every eating at a Brothers Pizza. Not my last visit. We ordered a Meetza 12 inch hand tossed. It was amazing. The crust was fluffy, sauced just right, and with the best meats ever!!! I was surprised by the cost for what we ordered. Cheaper and better tasting than other national brands. The staff was friendly, the store was clean, I would highly recommend this store.
Nate T — Google review
Tried this place for the first time and not disappointed! Take out, so no comments for service or atmosphere other than it was prompt and friendly. Will definitely be back.
Jeff M — Google review
It was my first time to try their food. I was really surprised . The pizza was yummy and the bread sticks were so good. Don't think twice about trying it. The dinning room isn't open but I hope it will be one day.

The pizza was really good. We thought it was a sit-down to eat place, but they only offer delivery or take out.

Bread sticks we're some of the best I ever had. The pizza was great and service was good. They had a few retro game game cabinets and wifi. Price was fair. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Bar
Stoney's Bar, located in Jamestown, is a popular joint that attracts a cool and enjoyable crowd. The pool table and jukebox add to the fun vibe of this small town bar. It's a favorite among locals, with its friendly bartenders creating a welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of its previous ownership as Al & Johnnys. Upon entering, patrons immediately feel at home thanks to the warm ambiance and the excellent service provided by Dee.
Great little stop. Got there 15 minutes before close. We were met with the utmost hospitality. Served one drink and sent off with a smile. Great little bar

Friendly staff & patrons, it is a smoking bar so avoid if you have a sensitivity.

Love Stoney’s Bar! Been going there for years. My Grandfather owned it when it was Al & Johnny’s. My mother Lu Lu was the bartender there for at least 15 years before her passing in 2003. Friendly people, pool, jukebox and was recently bought so it’s now under new management and it’s actually called Tony’s bar now.

Some good people but not my speed taco truck outside is the new kitchen.

First time in this joint early afternoon Friday.. cool people had fun on the pool table and the Jukebox is a huge bonus! Will be going here on a regular basis for sure... after grocery shopping from Jamestown!

This is a small bar with regulars, so when a few guys from Chicago stumbled in we were a little taken back, but eveyone was really nice and inviting. The staff and bartender, sorry, forgot her name, were great. Quick fast service. Will be stopping back in on my next trip..

Had our Halloween themed wedding here . The space was perfect! Loved the high ceilings with the fans and the brick walls . Tables and chairs were provided we just had to set them how we wanted. Pricing was also good go the whole day! When I arrived I was greeted and was shown where the lights were as well as the thermostat. I would definitely recommend for any get together!

We had our daughters graduation 👩‍🎓 party here it was just amazing! The price is great and the staff of this Facility are easy to work with GREAT to communicate with and accommodating .They are upfront with what needs to happen and what they expect of you during your rental which is very comforting for me. We have ALOT OF GUESTS and displays and FOOD and had plenty of room. The kitchen area is completely separate from the rest of the entertainment area which is very nice I like that. The space is just lovely I really recommend for any occasion! And also why you there check out the rotary jail Museum is the only working one in the world ! my husband and I went on the tour must say the history behind the entire place in a must see!

We followed the blue visitor information signs all the way from highway 74 into Crawfordville (about 3 miles) and did not find it. Very frustrating! All I wanted was a new road map for Indiana. This is the second negative experience in a week with visitor or "welcome center" places in this state! If Indiana wants to welcome visitors to the state they need to put a little more effort and funding into it. 😐

Italian restaurant
If you're on the hunt for an authentic Italian dining experience, look no further than Valentino Italian Cuisine. This charming eatery comes highly recommended and is backed by a family farm that supplies fresh vegetables, ensuring every dish bursts with flavor. Diners rave about the Caprese salad featuring ripe tomatoes and the homemade meatballs served with spaghetti, all complemented by a delightful marinara sauce. The cheese ravioli is another standout, made fresh in-house alongside their divine tiramisu dessert.
This restaurant came highly recommended by our front desk clerk at our hotel. The restaurant is supported by a family farm with fresh vegetables. Their food by far is some of the best I've ever tasted...the caprese salad with the fresh tomatoes and the meatballs in the spaghetti... Did I mention that the Marinara is fresh and beautifully paired with any pasta which is also fresh and made in house: Cheese Ravioli ... The Tiramisu created also in house and it is Divine....

Note: They do not accept credit cards We decided to give this place a try after looking for something different on here. Finding parking was a bit of a pain, but a little walk never hurts. The location was a little unusual, but we were welcomed upon arrival. I ordered the Lasagna and my wife ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. The lentil soup was amazing. I think I could have made a meal out of it alone considering the wonderful homemade bread that came with it. The entree arrived fairly quick. You can tell everything was homemade with fresh (or as fresh as possible) ingredients. We finished off the meal by sharing a canoli. All in all everything was good, if a little expensive. We will probably be back to try some of their other specialtiesin the future.
Sam M — Google review
The soup was amazing as was the bread basket at the beginning. Our table got cheese ravioli, meat ravioli and spaghetti with meatballs. The food is first rate! I found the service to be fairly typical of the service you get in Crawfordsville. Nice place for a different kind of dinning experience in this small town. Only giving it 4 stars just based on prices.
Michelle S — Google review
Food was good. I had 4 cheese/meat Ravioli wife had chicken parmigiana. They are a cash only so be ready for that.
Shane H — Google review
Food was great, had Lasagna yea and coffee. The coffee was also excellent. Will go back next time I am in town. Authentic Italian. Service was also good.
Ernie T — Google review
If you want very authentic Italian food, this is your place!! Everything was so tasty and my daughter really loved the fettuccine alfredo!
Chris B — Google review
Tremendous farm fresh Italian dishes prepared to perfection. Must try the Caprese Salad and the Pasta with Scallop Sauce.
Tom S — Google review
My wife and I were recommended to stop in here because it was authentic Italian, farm to table. It was a Saturday night around 5:45 and the place was empty. We were not going to let that detour us. We sat down and the waiter was super sweet. The atmosphere was clean but not exactly what you would expect for an upscale Italian restaurant. The menu was professional and had some nice dishes. We went with the mushroom chicken fettuccine and the chicken parmesan with spaghetti and homemade sauce. They bring out bread to start and the oil was good but the bread was more of a crouton than a dipping bread. My wife and I brought our own wine since we were told they didn't serve wine and we we allowed to bring it. That was fine but were told we're going to pay $8 for bringing our own wine, although I'm not sure this is enforced since our waiter didn't add it to our bill, but it was noted on the menu. Again the waiter tried his very best and asked multiple times if we needed anything. Now to the food: For us to be recommend by another local business and it was farm to table it was less than ideal. The food lacked something, my wife would say "love". It was very soggy and soupy I would say. It was bland and almost grey in color. Although the dishes did have fresh herbs on top to give the appearance of flavor. Overall my wife and I were hungry and ate , tipped the waiter well because he was so nice and then left after paying the bill. Im not writing this review as an angry customer but more as a customer who has dined at farm to table Italian restaurants and this restaurant needed a few improvements. I would go back if food quality and presentation was a bit better. I'm writing this as more of constructive criticism more so than a bad review.

Nice restaurant and bar. We sat in the bar area so it was pretty lively. Service was quick and friendly.Wife had a Lemon Drop I had a beer...her lemon drop was "deadly" which is a good thing! 😀 We ordered the Molly Melt and a Smash burger. Both were delicious. Since we were just visiting we were asking a lot of questions about what to do in the area...our servers were very helpful.

Cute spot, especially the bar side—great atmosphere! The menu is small but has solid choices. I got the chicken wrap, and it was sooo good. Next time, I’m definitely trying the Gouda grilled cheese because that sounds amazing. Also, their espresso martinis? Chef’s kiss. Reasonably priced, too!

Ordered an almost $40 steak. Came out grey, super thin, not seasoned, and full of fat. We’ve tried to give them multiple opportunities but their costs and quality of food just don’t add up. Not to mention you’ll be seated with someone right beside you while eating much like a cafeteria. I really wish I got a picture at the beginning of the meal but I did get one to show all the fat. Service is always great but the food is subpar. Especially considering we spend $200 everytime we go there for 2 people after drinks, meals, and appetizers.

We ducked in just before the Motocross of Nations racers joined the downtown parade. The staff was grand the food was delicious - especially the smashed potatoes and the chocolate cake.
Jim L — Google review
The place looked nice and was clean, however, the staff does not treat you well if you are young, they ignore you and prioritize older people. They IDd us even though we didn’t order any alcoholic beverages. We waited 40m for tasteless overpriced food. Nowhere worth the price.

Great service. Good food. Open seating like a diner. A lil expensive for a small town, but food makes it worth it. Staff go extra mile to help customize food.

The bar was busy when we went but the restaurant side was quieter. I had their patty mount with truffle fries , and my son had a chicken caesar salad. Both were really good and the drink.I had from the bar was also tasty. Service was really good, no complaints.

Mexican restaurant
El Charro Taqueria is a must-visit gem for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine in downtown. This vibrant eatery offers a delightful array of dishes that are both familiar and unique, making it a favorite among locals and travelers alike. The atmosphere is lively and family-friendly, perfect for those who want to enjoy their meal without the pressure of being quiet. The menu features mouthwatering options like grilled prawns drizzled with garlic sauce and crispy fried fish, all bursting with flavor.
We usually only get to eat here once or twice a year when we're traveling, but to anyone who has never visited or loves Mexican food, this place is the bomb! The food is amazing, seems familiar but also authentic. The Margherita's both on the rocks or blended are AMAZING! Just make sure you're aware of the sizes as a smaller one, even an 8oz would've been enough for me at lunch, or you could opt for the jumbo and they'll gladly pour what's left into a to- go drink container. The atmosphere is fun and uniquely decorative. Our server was great and was able to make modifications for allergies, etc. The food served is always excellent. The only thing I would change would be the guacamole as it was just a little too bland for me. Others may love it. I'll order it again and I'm sure they'll gladly spice it up to your liking.
Lucie K — Google review
Stopped here for an early dinner on the way back from terre haute. The menu has plenty of options, probably a little too much. The atmosphere is pretty cool and I wish I could have sat by the bar, but my kids aren't old enough. Salsa was good and the food was an 8.5 out of 10, one of the better Mexican restaurants I've eaten at.
Josh Z — Google review
Great mexican place. We enjoyed the vibe. Delicious food. We tried fried fish and grilled prawns. Grilled prawns with garlic sauce is delicious. Even though we were charged more than the listed price in the menu for fried fish and prawns, we didn’t care to check. Also recommend their Cantarito drink.
Abdul S — Google review
The food wasn't real great but it s pretty often take Mexican IMO. The rice was really good the beans wasnt great but the service was excellent and the place itself is awesome with all the colorful tables and stuff.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I tried the food here the first time but was blown away by the authentic tasting food. Their house made hot sauces are to die for.

The flavor of the food is great; I ordered a garlic mojo filete, and it was super tasty. For my drink, I had a delicious cantarito. Our waiter, David, was very nice and friendly, with great recommendations. The only downside was that the cashier with glasses was a bit rude. But overall, everything else was excellent, and I definitely recommend this place because they have a lot of variety.
Stefany R — Google review
The food is good and tasty, offering authentic Mexican delicacies. One recommendation, though: make sure you have some spare time when you visit, as it tends to be crowded and the wait for your order can be lengthy. That lemonade is just awesome...

Pioneer Chapel, located at the south end of the Wabash campus mall, is a historic non-denominational chapel that hosts various events such as church services, Mass, and recitals. Very nice people! Great little place, off the beaten path. Good wine and prices.

Great local winery. Great couple running the place … answer all your questions vast knowledge of their wines … relaxed atmosphere and an adorable dog for extra charm

Really nice place to stop and enjoy their good wines and have a great conversation with owner and others. Nice patio to sit on. Friendly dog! Highly recommend the visit.

Great stop! Had a couple of sweet wines but mostly dry. We had four glasses and liked them all. They offer free tastings of any of their wines which is nice since a lot of places charge. They had a table inside with free snacks like charcuterie meats, cheeses, and crackers. We sat outside with our dog and the man working (owner)? greeted our dog with a treat. They also have a resident dog named Paco who is a sweet boy. Not far from the interstate and was a pleasant place to stop and stretch our legs. Will be back when in the area.

Some of the best wines anywhere. Great atmosphere and service!

I have been to Coal Creek Winery many times. The owners are open and friendly. The wines range from very sweet dessert wines to very dry reds, like the Norton. There is something for everyone at Coal Creek. They have an outdoor patio for relaxing with a glass. Snacks are often available. Enjoy a tasting, share a glass with a friend, and bring home a bottle (or several) of your favorite(s).

We stayed for a short amount of time but the place is cozy, the host was very friendly, the wines that we sampled were delicious, and the dog walking freely by the seating area was adorable.

Small winery with few choices. However, each wine was excellent. We enjoyed our time visiting with the owner.

During my recent journey back from Turkey Run, I made a delightful pit stop at the Crawfordsville Forum Family. After an invigorating morning of hiking, I treated myself to one of their omelets, and let me tell you—it was absolutely scrumptious! The atmosphere was wonderfully laid-back, and the service was top-notch. I can’t wait to return on my next adventure!
Stopped here on the way home from Turkey Run after a long morning of hiking. I ended up having one of their omelets. DELICIOUS! Best omelet I've had in a long time. Atmosphere was relaxed and service was excellent. Will definitely stop in again on my next trip back!

I root for this place to get its act together. I've been coming here since 2018. It's homey. But that's not everything. It needs more than the recent cosmetic renovation. The Forum is open every day from 6:00 to 9:00. That's an advantage over The Breakfast Company which is open til 3:00. And Forum serves dinner, as well as breakfast and lunch. The food is fairly good. First off, bring your flyswatter. I have my suspicions as to how they get in, but I'll keep that to myself. The men's restroom is filthy. Staff use the restrooms. You have to grab the old, dirty, flimsy door by the handle to leave the restroom. There are no paper towels available to grab the handle and no foot pad to pull to door open. The door(s) should have been replaced long ago with something more hygienic. The restroom goes into the kitchen. The servers very nice. No issues there. Some servers have been there a very long time and some feel as I do.

Got food poisoning here from steak n eggs. Do not recommend. The atmosphere is severely outdated and looks dirty. Service was ok, no complaints there. BUT THE FOOD.... absolutely awful. I got steak and eggs and both tasted off.. I even gave a bite to my boyfriend who also agreed it tasted weird. Lo and behold, two hours later, my breakfast was coming out of both ends. And I know it was that place. I got the vibe that the diner probably attracts most of the city's seniors & serving that kind of food is going to hurt one of them eventually, if not already. The health department should look into that place(looking at other reviews.. it seems as though theres a lot of unsanitary things going on there).

I was at this restaurant on 9/05/25 with my grandmother. We sat in a booth right by the register. I was bitten on the ankle while in the booth. It was a brown recluse and I am now 7 days into a severe medical situation. Please be mindful. This establishment should be doing daily cleaning of the floors and booths to prevent situations like this. I now have multiple medical bills stemming from this one visit. Please be careful.

The food is either prepackaged, frozen, microwaved, etc. I had the fried chicken. Overcooked and dry, even the thigh! "Mashed" potatoes are instant, green beans are from a can with onion bits with no flavor. They don't season anything. Had chicken parm last time. Again tasted microwaved, watery sauce and pasta was mush. For as much as they charge, they could at least serve fresh and house made. Call Gordon Ramsey or Robert Irvine and get a do over. #Kitchen Nightmares #Restaurant Impossible.

The atmosphere of the place seemed to be a little outdated, the service could have been a little better, Waitress was forgetting things. When we went there they were out of chicken noodle soup, anything that had to do with alfredo sauce, no dinner rolls 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had ordered popcorn shrimp and fries. The fries were disgusting they probably should change their oil. I don't know what they consider cocktail sauce but the cocktail sauce I received was like jello. I was afraid to even eat it because I probably would've gotten sick. They told us that's how they make it and I don't think so because it wasn't even cold it was warm 🤦🏻‍♀️ this place was definitely a no from me!!!

the french fries were as good as they get crispy without being greasy. the breaded and grilled tenderloins were pounded very thin almost to where it was difficult to taste them with the bun lettuce and tomato. they would have been better if they had cut out the gristle and the fat which are not very pleasant. you only get five onion rings per order which is more than enough because they are so greasy that we couldn't eat them. unfortunately they're still using styrofoam made from oil and unrecyclable there are much better options that are kinder to our children and our planet.

Went with my husband to eat on a recent Friday night. Expected it to be busy considering the time we arrived but no...it was almost empty. There was no air conditioning and the ceiling fans were concentrated in one area of the restaurant. Two fans on the counter were for the staff, so pretty much no air circulation. It smelled overwhelmingly of cigarettes and the table we sat at seemed to have a film of some sort on it. My husband ordered the All You Can Eat Walleye & Shrimp while I ordered the Steak & Egg Breakfast. The first round of Walleye & Shrimp brought to the table was WAAAAAY overcooked. So much so that he couldn't even cut through it with his knife, which to be fair was a butter knife, but not the point. He asked for some not cooked so long and the server brought him another round which was much better. His coleslaw though was not made in house and it was warm, not cold so there was no telling how long it was not in the fridge before he got it? My breakfast was meh...steak was tender enough but had absolutely no flavor. Eggs were made the way I asked...I think. Close enough for me to say yes. Hashbrowns were dry...SUPER DRY and flavorless as well. Toast was the best thing I ordered, which had plenty of butter and jelly. Fountain drinks were not tasty either. It was HOT in there so the ice melted faster than usual, watering the drinks down even more than one might expect on a regular visit where the temperature and conditions were more favorable. Owners showed up while we were there and didn't bother to acknowledge any customers whether they were regulars or ones who'd just happened in like us. No one asked about our food or anything else for that matter while we were there, which was about an hour overall. The server did get us fresh drinks at one point without us asking but I think it was because she saw how badly they were sweating on the table from the heat. Other staff were talking about going out to smoke and smokers in the front of the building did not adhere to the 8ft distance from the doorways. I used the ladies room and there was a giant sized roll of toilet paper on the back of the toilet, not in the dispenser, the floor was slippery and sticky and it smelled like raw sewage with a mask of something I couldn't quite figure out...Gross! We had been here a couple times in the past and we decided to give it a try since it had been a while....totally bad call on our part. My husband said "Now I remember why we didn't come back." It's really sad when you try to patronize and support the local business owners and they don't seem to care at all about what their image or customer needs are. These owners really need to take a hard look at what's going on in this restaurant and do something about it. If their hearts aren't in it they should sell it to someone who would care. Unless there is a change of ownership or the current owners makes some changes we will not be visiting again and will definitely not be telling anyone we know to go there. I know just us is a small drop in the bucket, but word of mouth gets around and eventually if things don't change the business suffers. The customers are already suffering. It speaks volumes that we were there on a Friday night between 4:30 and 5pm and that it was almost like a ghost town. Those who've had a great experience are either blessed or people who are friends or work there giving the awesome reviews because average people like us who work hard for their money and are spending it in confidence in exchange for getting a good tasting, appealing, price friendly meal will never offer a good review here as long as it stands this way.

If you find yourself in Crawfordsville, make sure to stop by China Inn Crawfordsville for a delightful dining experience. This charming restaurant offers an array of delicious dishes that are sure to please your palate. The pom pom shrimp is lightly glazed and the sweet and sour shrimp boasts a crispy texture that's hard to resist. While the egg rolls may not stand out, the crab rangoons are a must-try with their rich, creamy filling.
I've never taken time to write a restaurant review before, but I am for this one because the food was exceptionally good. Our pom pom shrimp had a nice light glaze and the sweet and sour shrimp was light and crispy. The egg rolls weren't anything special, but the crab ragoons were excellent...Lots of creamy filling! Very tasty food. If we're ever back in Crawfordsville again, we will definitely be headed back there!

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was what you’d expect—nothing remarkable but perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed everything else. My waitress, Charlotte, was not only inattentive but also incredibly unprofessional. At one point, she had a full-on meltdown in the middle of the dining area, yelling at her coworkers in a way that disrupted the entire experience. It’s clear that she struggles with the responsibilities of her role, and her behavior left a lasting negative impression. I would strongly suggest management reconsider how staff like Charlotte impact the overall dining experience.

Went in for buffet and food was old and barely warm. Some guy named Carl working there as a host was as rude as they come. The place is not what it used to be. Won't be going back. Wouldn't advise anyone to go either

Fiance ordered take out and the shop owner gave it to the wrong person. When she went to pick up the food he told her she would have to order it again and pay full price. So she ended up going else where for lunch. I work in customer service, and I would say it is pretty interesting customer service strategy to make a mistake and then have the customer (literally) pay for it for you. Especially as the owner of the establishment. Bold strategy there Cotton. Let's see how it plays out.

Very pleasant dining experience. Everyone was very friendly and the food was extremely good!

I think it's the worst (American) Chinese restaurant I've been to. The wantons were cold, and the food was just edible. The rangoons, spring rolls, egg drop soup, and pon pon chicken were just edible. Even if it's only one the town's Chinese restaurants, you'd just waste your money here. The server was friendly though.

I always order takeout from Dominoes. The thin crust pizzas they make are really good! My order is right every time. I highly recommend suggest using the app. It makes everything easier. Service is great. The employees are always nice and helpful aswell as friendly. The drive is a little tight and hard to find and navigate, could definitely use some improvement.

I ordered a cheese pizza with extra sauce around an hour before they closed, they gave me a minuscule amount of robust tomato sauce and were poor in service. This place is truly a hit or miss..
